- 0:42Speaker 1: were out late last night for a good cause and whatnot,
- 0:44Speaker 1: And I thought to myself, this, this is what I
- 0:47Speaker 1: do every night.
- 0:49Speaker 4: Well, you sent me a.
- 0:50Speaker 3: DM like late last night. I think I was on
- 0:53Speaker 3: my way home, or maybe I was still at my
- 0:54Speaker 3: niece's choir concert. Was She's a senior, right, so it
- 0:57Speaker 3: was the last time she's gonna do like her.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Choir thing last night.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I got a stay till the end, of course, because
- 1:01Speaker 3: she's put on her you know, gown that she's graduating
- 1:04Speaker 3: in this weekend, and I'm just crying emotional.
- 1:06Speaker 4: It's a whole thing. And then I see you.
- 1:08Speaker 3: DM me and I'm like, go to bed?
- 1:09Speaker 1: What are you doing? What I do every night?
- 1:11Speaker 3: Why?
- 1:12Speaker 1: I mean why I can't well, yeah, I mean I
- 1:14Speaker 1: can't really sleep.
- 1:15Speaker 5: So it's just I have a problem sleep.
- 1:17Speaker 1: And so sometimes like I didn't go to bed till
- 1:20Speaker 1: eleven o'clock last night.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Do you feel rested? Like, because I feel awful this morning.
- 1:24Speaker 5: I feel horrible every day.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Okay, coffee has not kicked in yet.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I don't know, but no, I'm just used to it.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I kind of feel I feel okay, I don't feel bad.
- 1:33Speaker 1: But you know when I saw you out, I'm like.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Uh oh, yeah, because you know I try to go
- 1:37Speaker 3: to bed like e eight thirty when my sons that
- 1:40Speaker 3: I try hard.
- 1:40Speaker 4: I need a lot of sleep.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I know, I know, good for you. I just don't
- 1:44Speaker 1: do that. And I've done this for a long time.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I just can't do it. I can't go to bed
- 1:47Speaker 1: at eight thirty. Oh, And no matter how hard I try,
- 1:51Speaker 1: if the sun is up, I cannot go to bed.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I guess you can nap maybe earlier in the afternoon, yeah,
- 1:55Speaker 1: which I did for like thirty minutes. So it wasn't
- 1:57Speaker 1: enough to be like, oh, I don't have to go
- 1:59Speaker 1: to bed till eleven to night. But that's true. But
- 2:01Speaker 1: at least you got to enjoy, you know, your niece's concert.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Yeah I did.
- 2:05Speaker 4: It was really awesome.
- 2:06Speaker 3: And I'm just looking at these kids, like.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Do kids just look older? These days?
- 2:09Speaker 3: Were kids talented when we were kids, because these kids
- 2:12Speaker 3: were doing Broadway musical things, and I'm like, you you
- 2:15Speaker 3: could literally be on Broadway. I have no idea you're
- 2:17Speaker 3: a senior, maybe you're a freshman.
- 2:19Speaker 5: I will say this school much looked much more into
- 2:23Speaker 5: their choir than.
- 2:26Speaker 6: Oh.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, this was a serious program. But these
- 2:28Speaker 3: kids are incredibly.
- 2:30Speaker 5: Good, very good.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean I think the kids were talented back
- 2:33Speaker 1: in our day. Yeah, but they definitely don't look the same.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Yeah, not at all.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I don't know what you got up there.
- 2:39Speaker 4: I thought, is that a teacher.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Look older? I saw a kid actually I was playing
- 2:45Speaker 1: basketball with yesterday at the rec center who was in
- 2:47Speaker 1: high school and about to graduate. And when we were talking,
- 2:50Speaker 1: I was like, oh, you're about to graduate college. Because
- 2:52Speaker 1: I'm thinking to myself, this guy's got.
- 2:54Speaker 5: A full beard.
- 2:55Speaker 1: In high school, I couldn't grow a full beard and
- 2:58Speaker 1: he's like, no, I'm graduating high school.
- 3:00Speaker 5: And I was like, what, wow, you like high school
- 3:05Speaker 5: was huge.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Full beard, full time job, four O one K.
- 3:11Speaker 5: It was crazy.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I was like, oh my god, well good, I'm glad
- 3:14Speaker 1: you enjoyed that. You let us know what you need
- 3:16Speaker 1: this morning. We're gonna try to be on your good list.
- 3:19Speaker 4: I appreciate that.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Yeah, whatever Candice wants. Producer poo is here. What's up Hill?
- 3:23Speaker 7: Yesterday I had a full blown panic attack. Okay, so
- 3:26Speaker 7: I'm driving my sister's car. I go to Sam's do
- 3:30Speaker 7: the little curve side pickup and as I'm getting gas,
- 3:33Speaker 7: I look and her windshield has a crack in it
- 3:36Speaker 7: and I'm like I didn't see that there before.
- 3:38Speaker 1: So I'm like, oh man, so I'm like dreading.
- 3:42Speaker 7: I get back to her house and I was like, hey,
- 3:45Speaker 7: just let me know how much it is your windshield
- 3:48Speaker 7: got you know, it has a cracking, and she was
- 3:50Speaker 7: like another one.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Now go wait you know about this and she goes yeah.
- 3:54Speaker 7: I was like, girl, because I hate driving other people's
- 3:57Speaker 7: cars anyway, because I feel like I'm a red.
- 4:00Speaker 5: You love doing that?
- 4:01Speaker 1: No, not really.
- 4:02Speaker 7: I always like I'm on guard because I'm pandied, like
- 4:05Speaker 7: somebody's gonna hit me here, something's gonna happen.
- 4:07Speaker 1: But she is a car. Huh, where's your car? My
- 4:10Speaker 1: car is at the apartment.
- 4:11Speaker 7: But when you do the curb side you have to
- 4:12Speaker 7: you know, it goes off your license plate and all
- 4:14Speaker 7: that stuff.
- 4:14Speaker 1: So I don't know that. Oh yeah on Sam's. Yeah,
- 4:18Speaker 1: they just pull in a spot. Yeah, you pull in
- 4:21Speaker 1: and it went to that spot.
- 4:22Speaker 7: It goes to her car exactly, Wow, the license plate.
- 4:25Speaker 7: But yeah, she came out, she goes. No that that
- 4:27Speaker 7: happened at my school. They're doing construction in the rocket.
- 4:31Speaker 1: If you're driving somebody else's car and the windshield that
- 4:34Speaker 1: gets cracked, are you responsible for it?
- 4:36Speaker 8: Right?
- 4:36Speaker 4: Because it's not really your fault.
- 4:37Speaker 1: There's just bad timing, right, It's just a bad situation.
- 4:40Speaker 3: You really avoid those. I've never had one until last year.
- 4:44Speaker 3: We have one on my husband's car.
- 4:46Speaker 4: My dad has one on his car. I don't know
- 4:48Speaker 4: what's going on.
- 4:49Speaker 1: There's anything I've ever wanted to take to Congress or
- 4:53Speaker 1: I don't know, pass some billy. It's that I've had
- 4:56Speaker 1: four cracked wh Yes you have last year? Yeah?
- 5:02Speaker 5: Year? What now? I'm not kidding you.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And almost all of them came from one thing, a
- 5:07Speaker 1: truck with rocks that say stay five hundred whatever yards back,
- 5:11Speaker 1: and I'm back so far, I'm not even in the
- 5:14Speaker 1: same lane. And they're like, not responsible, No, you are responsible.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:19Speaker 1: It gets me so angry. And you try to track
- 5:21Speaker 1: these trucks down. They don't have phone numbers. They don't
- 5:25Speaker 1: want to take responsibility. Yeah, but it's like rocks are
- 5:28Speaker 1: flying out of your car, out of your truck, bouncing
- 5:31Speaker 1: on the highway way past five hundred yards exactly. Wait,
- 5:35Speaker 1: we're driving fast. It's seventy miles an hour. Four crack windshields.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Geez, yeah, so bad right now? Is all the construction
- 5:42Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Eric pointed out to be a truck without mud flaps
- 5:44Speaker 3: the other day.
- 5:45Speaker 4: It was like, stay away from.
- 5:46Speaker 1: One of those. That's why it's illegal to not have
- 5:49Speaker 1: mudflaps on cars that are lifted and trucks that are lifted,
- 5:52Speaker 1: because rocks just fly up and hit people. And then
- 5:55Speaker 1: it's like, these windshields are getting so expensive.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not your fault, poop.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Yah, I don't get out your fault. I don't think
- 6:01Speaker 1: you would have paid though at the same time. Oh
- 6:03Speaker 1: my sister, Yeah, I don't I'm gonna pay. You are
- 6:06Speaker 1: gonna pay? Yeah, yeah, she watches my kids. So I
- 6:09Speaker 1: do whatever Morgan says before.
- 6:11Speaker 3: It spreads, because my brother fixed mine before it spread.
- 6:14Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 6:14Speaker 5: Oh I didn't even know you could do that.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Really Yeah, they like fill it in or do whatever.
- 6:19Speaker 3: So I'm like heat gun and some I don't.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Know said they're coming over and putting some resin or whatever.
- 6:23Speaker 5: They're gonna come to. John know what I did.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I have a phone holder that attaches to the windshield.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I put it over that on the inside so I
- 6:30Speaker 1: couldn't see it. Because I feel like we're good for now.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I can't see it. It's nothing's wrong, right, classic Billie?
- 6:39Speaker 1: Move right there, morning be alling a kid? Can a
- 6:41Speaker 1: slow pants?
- 6:42Speaker 5: Is here? Producer poo is here.

- 6:57Speaker 1: Congratulations Patricia. Yeah, I thought you were telling me to
- 7:01Speaker 1: guess your name. I was like, what kind of game
- 7:02Speaker 1: is this? Congratulations? Patricia?
- 7:08Speaker 5: Where are you from?
- 7:09Speaker 1: I'm from Westport, or Oh cool, awesome, Well, thank you

- 7:17Speaker 1: Patricia guess? Does?
- 7:18Speaker 5: Should we guess?
- 7:19Speaker 6: What?
- 7:19Speaker 5: Guess?
- 7:19Speaker 1: Does?
- 7:21Speaker 5: We gotta guess?
- 7:21Speaker 1: Okay, candicelw pazco ahead and she said, we won't guess.
- 7:24Speaker 3: We won't. You're a community services manager?
- 7:26Speaker 1: What the I just made that up?
- 7:28Speaker 6: Wow?
- 7:29Speaker 3: I like it.
- 7:31Speaker 7: I love it.
- 7:33Speaker 5: What do you think?
- 7:34Speaker 7: I almost say she's a nurse or works in the

- 7:38Speaker 4: Yeah, No, I'm electrician.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I was just about to say that, Yes, I want
- 7:46Speaker 1: I was going to say.
- 7:47Speaker 4: You're on your way.
- 7:48Speaker 5: I knew it.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I was going to say electrician. That's crazy, you're a
- 7:52Speaker 1: master electrician. That's literally what I.
- 7:54Speaker 5: Wrote down.
- 7:57Speaker 8: It.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Well, you know what, good for you doing your thing
- 7:59Speaker 1: and in a predominantly man's world, you are thriving and
- 8:03Speaker 1: breaking stereotypes.
- 8:04Speaker 5: I like that.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Yeah, indeed, I love what I do for a.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Living as well.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Well good, well, I'm sure you're awesome at it. Thank

- 8:13Speaker 1: I like that. I'm like, Patricia, are you ready for
- 8:15Speaker 1: real and fake news? I'm gonna give you three headlines.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Gonna tell me which one is fake? Okay? First headline,
- 8:21Speaker 1: women arrested after living in IKEA showroom undetected for four days.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Women arrested after living in an Ikea showroom undetected for
- 8:31Speaker 1: four days. Headline number one. Headline number two. Utah parents
- 8:35Speaker 1: arrested after locking their eleven year old out to teach
- 8:39Speaker 1: them how to be homeless. Utah parents arrested after locking
- 8:45Speaker 1: their eleven year old out to teach them how to
- 8:48Speaker 1: be homeless.
- 8:49Speaker 5: Headline number three.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Seventy three year old veteran facing ten years in prison
- 8:54Speaker 1: after faking blindness for almost a decade. What seventy three
- 8:59Speaker 1: year old veterans and facing ten years in prison after
- 9:02Speaker 1: faking blindness for almost a decade. All right, three headlines
- 9:07Speaker 1: right there? You gotta tell me which one, Which one
- 9:10Speaker 1: is the fake?
- 9:11Speaker 5: Headline? Canda Slopez. You want to go first. You want
- 9:13Speaker 5: to pass to pooh.
- 9:13Speaker 4: I'm gonna pass it to la poo poo.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Okay, the poop. Which one is a fake one?
- 9:18Speaker 7: Uh, I'm gonna go with that second story, parents locking
- 9:22Speaker 7: the eleven year old. Okay, I'll to teach them about
- 9:24Speaker 7: being homeless. All right, lock me in.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Let's go locked in, Candae Slopez, which one do you
- 9:30Speaker 1: think is fake?
- 9:31Speaker 8: Ooh?
- 9:31Speaker 4: Lock me in for that first story? The Ikea story
- 9:35Speaker 4: you think that's fake? Could last four.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Days in an Ikea, no one would notice.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I mean, I think you could hide and get away
- 9:41Speaker 1: with being undetected if you do it the right way.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Really not if you just sit in the showroom. Yeah,
- 9:46Speaker 1: but if you went up in like you know, bay
- 9:48Speaker 1: I fifty eight.
- 9:49Speaker 4: Yeah, that's true.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You'll probably sit there for a couple of days before people.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I wonder if they check thoroughly.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Surely not.
- 9:55Speaker 5: Either way, you're.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Gonna hide n Ikeea. Aren't you gonna be in one
- 9:58Speaker 3: of the cute bedrooms.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Yeah, you're gonna go sleep there. But you're gonna hide
- 10:01Speaker 1: because I'm gonna see you before it closes. They got
- 10:04Speaker 1: night stalkers.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Night stalkers.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Stop stock stop, you're a night stalker.
- 10:10Speaker 5: The winner today is Candice Lopez. Congratulations, Canvas, thank you.
- 10:19Speaker 1: That is the fake story about that you're right?
- 10:21Speaker 5: You're always right?
- 10:22Speaker 4: Well, I hate it.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I hate that you're always right. Yeah you are, You're
- 10:26Speaker 1: right right now. No, but that's fake story. We did
- 10:30Speaker 1: try back in the day to get Pooh to hide
- 10:33Speaker 1: in NIKEA. It didn't go well. I think it's because
- 10:39Speaker 1: Pooh's not that hideable. I'm not He's not very He's
- 10:43Speaker 1: like he was the kid who is probably the worst
- 10:45Speaker 1: at hide and seek, you know what I mean.
- 10:47Speaker 5: He just doesn't hide.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Well.
- 10:49Speaker 5: I don't know what it is about him. He's loud.
- 10:52Speaker 1: We see you behind the curtains, we see yes, Like
- 10:55Speaker 1: I'm like, I remember we're doing the back of the Day.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Yeah exactly.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I was like, hey, go hide in one of the bays,
- 11:00Speaker 1: and he's like, okay, doll and then he goes and
- 11:03Speaker 1: then I'm like, oh oh man, and I'm like what
- 11:06Speaker 1: it was ten minutes and he already got busted.
- 11:09Speaker 4: And what was your excuse when they're like, sir, we're closed.
- 11:12Speaker 5: Oh he told them.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Yeah. I just told him. We're on the radio seeing
- 11:15Speaker 1: if I can stay the night here.
- 11:18Speaker 9: Yeah I didn't.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I'm like, no, you can't do that. So we didn't
- 11:22Speaker 1: even make it. One day geez, one day in there
- 11:25Speaker 1: either way. Yeah, but he didn't I tried to get
- 11:27Speaker 1: him to go up to the second story of the shelves,
- 11:30Speaker 1: but he couldn't get up there. Well, no, they're really high,
- 11:33Speaker 1: they are, Candice, They're not that high.
- 11:35Speaker 5: They are, and they sell.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Letters I like kiya okay ladder. So he tried to
- 11:40Speaker 1: hide behind one of the like first row things by
- 11:44Speaker 1: the cashier, by the billy boxes.
- 11:47Speaker 4: That's a good shelf, all right.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Utah parents arrested after locking their eleven year old out
- 11:51Speaker 1: to teach him how to be homeless. This happened, yet
- 11:54Speaker 1: they were arrested. They were basically saying that they left
- 11:58Speaker 1: this eleven year old kid in an unh unheeded garage
- 12:02Speaker 1: is punishment, telling officers they were teaching the child how
- 12:04Speaker 1: to figure things out on their own. Alicia and Robert
- 12:08Speaker 1: McIntosh both face aggravated child abuse and they're being held
- 12:12Speaker 1: without bail. Police first got involved when the neighbors said,
- 12:15Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on over there, but I
- 12:16Speaker 1: haven't seen the kids, so they did welfare check and
- 12:19Speaker 1: they officers found the child in the garage, crawling out
- 12:22Speaker 1: from under a truck bed cover with a thin blanket
- 12:25Speaker 1: and a bucket with a trash bag liner. And a
- 12:28Speaker 1: toilet seat, standing in standing in for a bathroom.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Oh wow, I.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Mean sometimes you got to do that with kids. No,
- 12:39Speaker 1: you don't, you don't want to build resilience.
- 12:41Speaker 4: Well we could do it some other way.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Okay, fine, all right, Well they're in jail either way.
- 12:45Speaker 5: All right. Another story. This is just kind of a
- 12:47Speaker 5: crazy story.
- 12:48Speaker 1: It's a seventy three year old veteran facing ten years
- 12:50Speaker 1: in prison after faking blindness for almost a decade. Yeah,
- 12:56Speaker 1: I guess he collected over almost three hundred thousand dollars
- 12:59Speaker 1: in VA benefits and because of this disability, Jerry Smith
- 13:04Speaker 1: pleaded guilty to falsely claim and he was blind to
- 13:07Speaker 1: receive disability payments. That investigators thought something was off, so
- 13:11Speaker 1: they went to look because you could just you know,
- 13:13Speaker 1: they investigate stuff like this.
- 13:15Speaker 5: Are you ready to see what they found out.
- 13:16Speaker 1: He would come into the office with a stick, you know,
- 13:20Speaker 1: a visual aid stick.
- 13:21Speaker 5: Or whatever they're called.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Sorry if I'm saying that wrong, but you know he
- 13:25Speaker 1: would come in he would be one hundred percent blind.
- 13:29Speaker 1: They found him at a gun range as a fire instructor. No,
- 13:41Speaker 1: wait a minute, First of all, I saw him driving there.
- 13:44Speaker 4: They're like, okay, math doesn't math.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Then they said, wait a minute, you're teaching firearms. Then
- 13:51Speaker 1: he was like, but I'm teaching it for the blind.
- 13:54Speaker 1: What But they didn't believe that.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Okay, so there you go. Try.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Good try, Jerry, Good Try. It's like a third story
- 14:04Speaker 1: we've heard from someone trying to fake being blind.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:07Speaker 1: My favorite was the guy who pretended he was mute
- 14:09Speaker 1: because for ten years so he could avoid small talk.
- 14:12Speaker 5: Yeah, good morning.
- 14:15Speaker 1: It's Baible a kid Candice Loan pants producer Pooh. Now
- 14:18Speaker 1: I'm big on this, and I know Pooh thinks it's ridiculous,
- 14:21Speaker 1: but I'm huge and I do truly think that back
- 14:24Speaker 1: in the day, I manifested this job.
- 14:27Speaker 5: Okay, and I'm a big believer in manifestation.
- 14:30Speaker 4: I think I manifested this job too.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Yeah you say that, Yeah, No, I really do think that.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Even before this job, like my entire career. When I
- 14:39Speaker 1: was fifteen, I read this book about manifesting things, and
- 14:42Speaker 1: I truly think it worked. I started manifesting stuff and
- 14:46Speaker 1: look at Pooh's smiling. I'm just listening to it, and
- 14:49Speaker 1: I truly think that you can do this with certain techniques. Now,
- 14:53Speaker 1: this new thing came out though, that tells you what
- 14:57Speaker 1: exactly you need to do if you want to manifest
- 14:59Speaker 1: something in your life.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Okay, and I mean aside from my career path and whatever.
- 15:03Speaker 3: I bought a laptop when I didn't have work, and
- 15:05Speaker 3: I was like, I'm gonna manifest work through this laptop.
- 15:09Speaker 1: What we did, yeah, and then we got this job.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Yeah okay.
- 15:11Speaker 1: See, so yeah, I believe that, yeah, because one of
- 15:15Speaker 1: the things they tell you to do when you manifest
- 15:17Speaker 1: something is to pretend that you're already doing it.
- 15:18Speaker 5: Yeah, to just wake up and do it even if
- 15:20Speaker 5: you're not doing it. Pretend.
- 15:22Speaker 1: So when I was fifteen and I knew I wanted
- 15:24Speaker 1: to do this for a living, and I knew I
- 15:25Speaker 1: wanted my own radio show and I wanted to DJ
- 15:28Speaker 1: and all that stuff, I just started doing it. Like,
- 15:29Speaker 1: I just started pretending that I was doing it. Oh yeah,
- 15:32Speaker 1: same even if I wasn't. I was like practicing and
- 15:34Speaker 1: doing things, and I just that's what I did. You
- 15:37Speaker 1: couldn't tell me any different, right.
- 15:38Speaker 3: I anchored the news behind my coffee table, did the
- 15:41Speaker 3: radio show that only my brother could hear in the
- 15:43Speaker 3: next room.
- 15:44Speaker 1: One hundred percent same thing. And I think it worked
- 15:47Speaker 1: because by the time I was eighteen, I was on
- 15:48Speaker 1: the air wow and had a show and whatnot, right,
- 15:52Speaker 1: and I've been doing it ever since. So I do
- 15:53Speaker 1: think it works. Now, this stuff, this set is a
- 15:56Speaker 1: little bit new to me. I didn't do all this.
- 15:58Speaker 1: They're saying, if you want to manifest stuff, that this
- 16:00Speaker 1: is what you got to do. Should we figure it out?
- 16:02Speaker 1: I need something like, I don't know, call me music
- 16:04Speaker 1: or something we need to manifest. I don't even know.
- 16:07Speaker 5: Is this manifesting music?
- 16:09Speaker 1: It's fine, it's going to have to work.
- 16:13Speaker 5: Is this manifesting music? Manifest that? Let me just go
- 16:24Speaker 5: this right now.
- 16:25Speaker 1: So here's some of the things they say you can
- 16:26Speaker 1: do if you want to manifest something in your life.
- 16:29Speaker 1: You have to visualize it, which we all kind of
- 16:31Speaker 1: know that visualize it. You have to write gratitude gratitude
- 16:35Speaker 1: notes in a journal, which I believe in journally and
- 16:38Speaker 1: I do that.
- 16:40Speaker 5: This is where it gets a little weird.
- 16:42Speaker 1: They say, burn a bay leaf as you manifest, releasing
- 16:47Speaker 1: any limiting beliefs or tensions you may have.
- 16:51Speaker 5: So we got to get some bay leaves.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Sage on there too. That's the that's the cleanse bad spirits.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Bayleaf not to release any limiting beliefs. Okay, I like this, Like,
- 17:03Speaker 1: what what is something we could manifest today? Start manifesting.
- 17:05Speaker 3: I mean to manifest some breakfast tacos right now.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Okay, all right, keep that in mind. Then as we
- 17:11Speaker 1: do this okay, and we'll see if they show up
- 17:13Speaker 1: by ten am, if they say use the scripting method
- 17:17Speaker 1: by writing down the call or writing down basically what
- 17:20Speaker 1: you want to happen. Okay, so script you know exactly
- 17:24Speaker 1: this is where how it's gonna go down. We're gonna
- 17:25Speaker 1: get the breakfast tacos. Someone's gonna show up in the lobby. Yeah,
- 17:29Speaker 1: you know this is and then I'm gonna eat it.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna put hot sauce off. You want to get
- 17:32Speaker 1: very detailed on it. Then it says, write down what
- 17:35Speaker 1: you want to happen and place it under a candle.
- 17:38Speaker 1: We have a candle. No, we don't have any candles here.
- 17:40Speaker 4: Wow, there goes our I have a birthday candle.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Perfect, we'll do that. It says, do the three by
- 17:46Speaker 1: thirty three ritual. Have you ever done this?
- 17:48Speaker 3: What's that?
- 17:49Speaker 1: So you basically write an affirmation that aligns with what
- 17:52Speaker 1: you want thirty three times for three straight days.
- 17:57Speaker 5: WHOA, so you write it down?
- 17:59Speaker 1: I want breakfast soccos thirty three times for three straight days. Yeah,
- 18:05Speaker 1: maybe we picked the wrong thing. Yeah. It also says
- 18:09Speaker 1: shift out of fear with positive self touch.
- 18:12Speaker 5: What I don't think we can do that in public.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Then it says the last thing you should do, and
- 18:19Speaker 1: this is where I got really confused, take a charged bath,
- 18:23Speaker 1: a charged bath, or a or enoughing shower?
- 18:27Speaker 4: Nothing shower?
- 18:29Speaker 1: What it's a charge bath? This subcanis? Okay, what's a
- 18:33Speaker 1: charge back? It's gotta be like crystals or something.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I would that's what I would assume. Okay, energy
- 18:38Speaker 3: infused soak, salt and crystals.
- 18:41Speaker 5: We gotta go to world springs.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's.
- 18:44Speaker 5: What we do. You don't believe in this pool? No,
- 18:45Speaker 5: not talking about EPSOM salt.
- 18:47Speaker 1: No, I'm talking about crystals and you know, spiritual stuff.
- 18:50Speaker 7: So you're saying I can manifest having a sugar maml.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Yeah probably, you know I believe it.
- 18:56Speaker 7: And just write it down thirty three times in the
- 18:58Speaker 7: next three days, I'm gonna have sugar momo.
- 19:00Speaker 1: You did it wrong. You're already messed it up. You
- 19:02Speaker 1: got to write it down for three straight days thirty
- 19:04Speaker 1: three times. Thro got thirty three by thirty three and
- 19:07Speaker 1: then I'll have a sugar mom and believe you got.
- 19:09Speaker 4: To take your nothing shower?
- 19:10Speaker 5: Did you take a enoughing shower?
- 19:11Speaker 6: No?
- 19:12Speaker 5: I just take a regular shower of what's enoughing shower?
- 19:14Speaker 4: I don't like this.
- 19:15Speaker 3: You stand under the hot water with no soap, shampoo.
- 19:17Speaker 4: Or like, you know, scrubbing.
- 19:19Speaker 5: Well, that's what he does anywhere.
- 19:23Speaker 6: It's Texas Top Stories on the tents with Billy the Kid.
- 19:26Speaker 8: In the morning only on the new Mixed one or
- 19:28Speaker 8: two point nine.
- 19:29Speaker 1: We got a dirty little secret coming up at seven thirty.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Get ready for that. Texas Top Stories right now, Canni
- 19:34Speaker 1: slow pess what is going on?
- 19:35Speaker 8: Well?
- 19:35Speaker 3: A new report says Texas public schools are seeing the
- 19:38Speaker 3: first non pandemic enrollment decline in about forty years. So
- 19:42Speaker 3: this is a historic drop of over seventy six one
- 19:45Speaker 3: thousand students. This report says it represents a one point
- 19:48Speaker 3: four percent decrease from last year, but that there were
- 19:52Speaker 3: a few places that had growth at Dallas and Richardson
- 19:55Speaker 3: were on that list, but four or saw a notable decline,
- 19:58Speaker 3: with the biggest drop come from elementary schools. They say,
- 20:02Speaker 3: but this drop is driven by lower birth rates and
- 20:04Speaker 3: more people going to alternative education options like private schools
- 20:08Speaker 3: or homeschooling. But yeah, that's kind of a historic announcement
- 20:12Speaker 3: as far as you know, education in Texas goes.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Yeah, people aren't having kids. Well guess what, it's expensive.
- 20:17Speaker 4: It is expensive. Yeah.
- 20:18Speaker 3: So while the high schools have a lot of plenty
- 20:20Speaker 3: of kids, elementary schools are just slowly declining. Yeah, which
- 20:24Speaker 3: it makes sense. It's all catching up to us from
- 20:26Speaker 3: the pandemic. And you know, just how yeah, like you said,
- 20:29Speaker 3: expensive things are.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean yet, right, you got to motivate some
- 20:32Speaker 1: countries need to motivate people to have kids. Yeah, I
- 20:36Speaker 1: love countries have to limit them for kids.
- 20:38Speaker 4: Oh no, people want want people have more kids here.
- 20:41Speaker 4: But it's tough. It's really tough.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Every day I think I see in my feed some
- 20:44Speaker 3: story about homeschooling and how cool it is.
- 20:46Speaker 4: And it makes you wonder.
- 20:48Speaker 3: But I love our teachers in our school that my
- 20:50Speaker 3: son goes to so much, so I can't imagine you know,
- 20:52Speaker 3: leaving that. But yeah, teacher appreciation was last week.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Yeah, well, appreciate your teachers schools almost I can't believe
- 20:59Speaker 1: it's almost overlay.
- 21:00Speaker 6: I know.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Next Thursdays our last day.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, a lot of school districts, it's the same thing,
- 21:04Speaker 1: and they need that little break though, for sure.
- 21:06Speaker 4: For sure.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Well, guys, the Cowboys announced their season opener yesterday. They're
- 21:10Speaker 3: going to take on the New York Giants in New
- 21:13Speaker 3: York on September thirteenth. They also revealed who they're going
- 21:16Speaker 3: to play on Thanksgiving Day, and that will be the Eagles.
- 21:20Speaker 9: Ye.
- 21:20Speaker 3: So yeah, I think the NFL is going to release
- 21:23Speaker 3: the full schedule coming up on Thursday, but this is
- 21:26Speaker 3: just a little teaser, which these are the two big
- 21:28Speaker 3: games we really care about at this point.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Trying to get excited, but I don't for whatever reason,
- 21:33Speaker 1: after this last season. Yeah, I feel like I lost
- 21:36Speaker 1: a little like I don't know, I'm always a Cowboys fan,
- 21:40Speaker 1: but I'm just like, can we But there's a lot
- 21:42Speaker 1: of things to be excited about this season. Yeah, we
- 21:44Speaker 1: did some good draft picks.
- 21:46Speaker 3: We did Okay, we did, I can't remember.
- 21:48Speaker 1: I think we're in a good place. And you know
- 21:50Speaker 1: what I'm saying, let me snap out of it. I'm sorry.
- 21:52Speaker 1: This is our year. It is our year.
- 21:54Speaker 3: I mean, it's kind of like when you're pregnant, you
- 21:55Speaker 3: forget like how rough it is, and then you're like,
- 21:57Speaker 3: I guess I'll do it again.
- 22:00Speaker 4: You know this is our year? Yeah, real quick, guys.
- 22:04Speaker 3: A TV show based on the New York Times game
- 22:07Speaker 3: Wordle is coming. This is going to be a half
- 22:09Speaker 3: hour long cash prize show co produced by The New
- 22:12Speaker 3: York Times and Jimmy Fallon. So this is the game
- 22:15Speaker 3: that was super popular online. Were you guys into it?
- 22:18Speaker 3: I think it came out in like twenty twenty one.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Everyone was going to New York Times dot com to.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Play this game.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I know what you're time. I think my mom plays it.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Okay, So you basically get six chances to guess a
- 22:30Speaker 3: five letter word.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Eric and I used to play this I Guess when
- 22:34Speaker 4: we were in lockdown or whatever you call it.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Yeah, and he would beat me every time and I'd
- 22:38Speaker 3: just be so over it. Maybe it's just like our
- 22:40Speaker 3: friend group when we lived in California that everyone was
- 22:43Speaker 3: playing this game.
- 22:45Speaker 4: You probably played it.
- 22:46Speaker 5: Turns it's crazy over there.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Yeah played word No No, Oh my gosh. This was
- 22:53Speaker 3: like all the rage that's you know it's coming.
- 22:56Speaker 4: It's been in the works.
- 22:57Speaker 3: This TV show for two and a half years and
- 22:59Speaker 3: Savannah got three just to now she's actually gonna host it.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Oh, some people are actually hating on her for this.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Why And I thought that was ridiculous. Some people are like,
- 23:07Speaker 1: you know, I mean, you're worried about your career right
- 23:09Speaker 1: now when you can't find your mother? What is going on?
- 23:13Speaker 1: What's And I'm like, you know, this is sad because
- 23:16Speaker 1: you can't stop living your life, right.
- 23:19Speaker 3: They don't expect one person to be searching the earth,
- 23:23Speaker 3: you know, twenty four to seven. At some point, you know,
- 23:25Speaker 3: you have to let the professionals, you know, do their job.
- 23:28Speaker 5: What is she supposed to not live anymore?
- 23:30Speaker 1: She's supposed to. But you see the comments online of
- 23:33Speaker 1: people going, you're worried about this. I can't believe you're
- 23:35Speaker 1: worried about that, be worried about your mom?
- 23:36Speaker 3: Well, I mean this was supposed to start filming back
- 23:39Speaker 3: in March, but they pushed it obviously because you know,
- 23:42Speaker 3: of the situation with her mom, which we have no
- 23:44Speaker 3: updates on. It's just sad for her. But you know,
- 23:47Speaker 3: work is also a distraction and you have to pay
- 23:49Speaker 3: your bills, right.
- 23:50Speaker 1: I saw the other day though, that one of the
- 23:52Speaker 1: sheriffs at the wherever department they're at said that they
- 23:55Speaker 1: get me. They were very close to having some details,
- 23:59Speaker 1: more tells and some answers about her disappearance, and I thought, well,
- 24:04Speaker 1: then do it. Yeah, I don't think they're closer though, Yeah,
- 24:07Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 24:08Speaker 4: I'll keep you posted for sure, though, you guys get
- 24:10Speaker 4: on wordle. Though it's fun, it's challenging.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I'm not good at that kind of stuff. My eighty
- 24:14Speaker 1: D kicks in and I'm just like, wait, what was
- 24:16Speaker 1: I doing?
- 24:16Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 24:17Speaker 3: For sure, all right, I'm Kanda Slopez. Those are your
- 24:19Speaker 3: Texas top stories.
- 24:21Speaker 8: Get it off your chest to promise you'll feel better.
- 24:24Speaker 6: Welcome to the Dirty Little Secret.
- 24:26Speaker 5: The sun is out, it's beautiful.
- 24:28Speaker 1: It's could be like eighty three today a perfect day,
- 24:30Speaker 1: it's not too bad. And then tomorrow high around ninety.
- 24:33Speaker 1: They're saying it's not going to rain now until like
- 24:35Speaker 1: next Monday. So we're good because the weekend at first
- 24:37Speaker 1: look bad, but it looks like it's gonna be okay.
- 24:39Speaker 1: It's Mix one on two point nine a Bility kid
- 24:41Speaker 1: Candislow Pass producer Pooh, it is Tuesday. We got money
- 24:44Speaker 1: coming up at eight forty If you want that one
- 24:46Speaker 1: thousand dollars eight forty your first shot? And when then
- 24:48Speaker 1: we do it on the forties every hour. Now, if
- 24:50Speaker 1: you have a secret, okay, this is what we do,
- 24:53Speaker 1: you can confess to us. It's a non judgment zone
- 24:56Speaker 1: eight three three seven eight seven, one oh two nine.
- 24:59Speaker 1: It doesn't matter what it is. And you have one.
- 25:02Speaker 1: What's up? Oh?
- 25:03Speaker 8: Man?
- 25:03Speaker 9: I feel bad even calling because technically this was not
- 25:07Speaker 9: my business, but it is bothering me.
- 25:10Speaker 10: So much I cannot stop thinking about it.
- 25:13Speaker 1: What what's up?
- 25:14Speaker 9: I have this coworker and we're really friendly at work,
- 25:17Speaker 9: but she acts like we're best friends, which we are
- 25:19Speaker 9: absolutely not.
- 25:20Speaker 10: And lately she's.
- 25:22Speaker 9: Been like calling out of work a ton, showing up late,
- 25:27Speaker 9: leaving early, all that stuff. Then one day I overheard
- 25:30Speaker 9: my boss saying something about how she's trying to like
- 25:33Speaker 9: be understanding because my coworker is dealing with morning sickness,
- 25:37Speaker 9: and I'm like, wait, what, Oh, she's pregnant.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:42Speaker 9: Well, later that day she like pulls me aside and
- 25:48Speaker 9: tells me, and she's laughing that she's not actually pregnant.
- 25:52Speaker 10: You guys, what oh come, She's not pregnant. She's not.
- 25:57Speaker 9: She just told our boss that she was because she
- 25:59Speaker 9: needed an excuse for always being late.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I hate this so much.
- 26:06Speaker 9: I hate it too, She like she just like figured,
- 26:09Speaker 9: nobody questions a pregnant woman, that's.
- 26:11Speaker 1: All right, what's gonna happen in nine months or you know,
- 26:15Speaker 1: seven months? Well, I don't know, you know, however long.
- 26:17Speaker 1: She's like, obviously there's no good.
- 26:19Speaker 10: Energy to keep this going exactly.
- 26:22Speaker 4: I was speechless.
- 26:23Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't blame you. I would not like this either.
- 26:26Speaker 3: So I'm sick. One thing, I had a death in
- 26:28Speaker 3: the family. People use that, but I'm pregnant.
- 26:32Speaker 1: I know.
- 26:32Speaker 9: It gross is even more because like people have, you know,
- 26:36Speaker 9: struggle for years to have babies, they like women lose babies,
- 26:40Speaker 9: And she's just like using it as a fake sick
- 26:43Speaker 9: day pass. Like just it's so disgusting. It made me
- 26:46Speaker 9: look at her completely differently.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I would too, This would make me look at
- 26:50Speaker 1: somebody differently.
- 26:51Speaker 5: I'd be like, this is I'd almost have to say something.
- 26:53Speaker 1: But like you said, I know it's not technically your business,
- 26:56Speaker 1: but at the same time, I just it's gross to
- 26:59Speaker 1: lie about. Yeah, it's so gross awful.
- 27:02Speaker 9: And like you were saying, like she hasn't thought it through,
- 27:04Speaker 9: Like how do you end a freake pregnancy?
- 27:07Speaker 5: You know, that's it.
- 27:08Speaker 1: She's unfortunately probably going to say that fake the end
- 27:11Speaker 1: of the pregnant, fake the.
- 27:12Speaker 5: End of it too, and you know that's not going
- 27:13Speaker 5: to be grow Okay.
- 27:15Speaker 3: She'll probably take a couple of days off for that too.
- 27:17Speaker 1: That now, that would enrage Yeah, that wouldn't rage horrible.
- 27:21Speaker 1: That's I don't even want to think about that. I
- 27:23Speaker 1: don't like that at all.
- 27:24Speaker 9: So I know, so like my dilemma is like I
- 27:27Speaker 9: want to part of me wants to tell my boss
- 27:29Speaker 9: because it's so gross. But then I'm like, do I
- 27:32Speaker 9: really want to get involved in this like back storm?
- 27:34Speaker 5: I don't know, do you?
- 27:35Speaker 1: That's a good question, Like does this something like I'm
- 27:38Speaker 1: trying to think, like we have to watch these videos
- 27:40Speaker 1: sometimes at work, Like if somebody is doing something compliance, right,
- 27:44Speaker 1: would you?
- 27:44Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 27:44Speaker 1: Compliance? Would you say something, see something, say something?
- 27:48Speaker 3: But in this case, unless her like work is affecting
- 27:52Speaker 3: the team or tanking the company or like our goals together,
- 27:55Speaker 3: I don't.
- 27:56Speaker 4: Know if you could say anything.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Technically she is stealing company time and money though if
- 28:00Speaker 1: she's lying about But then again, how do you do.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I don't know if if she told you this, if
- 28:06Speaker 1: she just told you this, it could be just hearsay,
- 28:08Speaker 1: you know.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Yeah, if you're the only one she told, then she's
- 28:11Speaker 3: gonna know you're the one that rated her out.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I don't know if I would say anything. I think
- 28:15Speaker 1: this kind of karma comes full circle on its own.
- 28:18Speaker 10: Yeah, I'm a great I don't know.
- 28:20Speaker 7: You know, if you tell her that they got to
- 28:23Speaker 7: get HR involved the whole big well, that's who you
- 28:26Speaker 7: would tell, is HR?
- 28:27Speaker 1: I guess right, Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, I don't
- 28:31Speaker 1: tell anything. I avoid HR at all costs. Even when
- 28:34Speaker 1: I see him in the hallway, I keep my head down.
- 28:39Speaker 5: Like they won't notice me.
- 28:41Speaker 10: Right, Yeah, I think I might stay out of it.
- 28:43Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Well, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you got to deal
- 28:46Speaker 1: with that. That is that is awful, and I would yeah,
- 28:48Speaker 1: I wouldn't. It feels icky. I wouldn't want to be
- 28:50Speaker 1: around it at all. But she'll get hers, I don't know.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Some way, somehow this stuff comes around. I truly believe that.
- 28:56Speaker 1: And you know it won't be It won't be good
- 28:59Speaker 1: for her.
- 28:59Speaker 10: No, it is not going to be good.
- 29:01Speaker 1: No, not at all hold on or maybe I'm wrong.
- 29:04Speaker 5: Maybe you do say something.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know how you say it, but maybe
- 29:09Speaker 1: this is one thing to me is just so when
- 29:11Speaker 1: people lie about being pregnant, Yeah, that's low, it's low.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Do you say something. I wonder how many people would
- 29:16Speaker 1: say so. I know, Cannus, you probably wouldn't.
- 29:18Speaker 3: No, I'd let it play out because I know she's
- 29:20Speaker 3: got hers coming.
- 29:21Speaker 1: I know Pooh wouldn't seen way worse.
- 29:24Speaker 7: In the workplace, I just trying to stay out of
- 29:26Speaker 7: my mom.
- 29:26Speaker 1: But as anybody ever, have you ever because I've never
- 29:30Speaker 1: snitched on anybody at work, I don't think I've ever
- 29:33Speaker 1: went to the boss and said, hey, just to let
- 29:34Speaker 1: you know they're doing this. I don't think one time
- 29:36Speaker 1: in my life at any job, I've ever had no same.
- 29:40Speaker 4: No, I couldn't really.
- 29:43Speaker 5: Yeah, now that surprises me.
- 29:45Speaker 3: I mean unless it was something like, you know, they're
- 29:47Speaker 3: breaking the law. It's like really hurting someone like this
- 29:50Speaker 3: woman's not necessarily hurting anybody, right but herself in the end.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I see, out of all three of us, I
- 29:56Speaker 1: think there would be you would definitely be the snitchest.
- 30:00Speaker 3: I stay out of.
- 30:00Speaker 4: People's business, though. You know, I don't.
- 30:03Speaker 3: I am too nervous to get involved in people's drama,
- 30:05Speaker 3: so do I Yeah, I mean what.
- 30:10Speaker 5: Is that supposed to mean? I don't stay out of
- 30:12Speaker 5: people's business.
- 30:13Speaker 4: You kind of do, but but you're aware.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Yeah, Oh no, I'm an instigator.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Yeah, he loves that's a good point.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Yeah, missus feeler's out there. Yeah.
- 30:24Speaker 3: I like stirring the pot where people confess on themselves.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that is true.
- 30:31Speaker 6: He's doing for Candace Court. It gets settled here with
- 30:35Speaker 6: Billy the Kid in the Morning Rise.
- 30:38Speaker 5: For the Honible Judge Candace Lopez.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Here she is the mesquite Mama, seat of the Kale Queen,
- 30:43Speaker 1: the Brussels Sprouts Battie. Oh yeah, I don't know.
- 30:47Speaker 6: Like that.
- 30:47Speaker 1: She's all organic and here she is on the bench.
- 30:49Speaker 1: It makes one or two point nine. If you got
- 30:51Speaker 1: something you want Candas to solve at Candace on Air,
- 30:54Speaker 1: at Candace on Air on Instagram, you hit her up
- 30:56Speaker 1: and this is a good one.
- 30:57Speaker 5: Are you ready, Candace?
- 30:58Speaker 1: Yep.
- 30:58Speaker 5: So it's a mother in law daughter in law drama.
- 31:01Speaker 5: My daughter in.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Law has been married to my son for a few
- 31:03Speaker 1: years and she has a side gig of making art.
- 31:06Speaker 1: She gives a lot of it away.
- 31:08Speaker 5: I'm not a huge fan of her art style.
- 31:10Speaker 4: Oh.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I am much more of a nature person than someone
- 31:13Speaker 1: who wants scenes with people. Also, when she paints people,
- 31:17Speaker 1: they are stylized. My daughter in law gave me a
- 31:19Speaker 1: painting of someone's sitting on the beach because she knows
- 31:22Speaker 1: we like the beach. I don't like it.
- 31:25Speaker 5: The women.
- 31:27Speaker 1: The women in the painting look off. Their legs are
- 31:31Speaker 1: too long, and she's too curvy. I know it's her
- 31:36Speaker 1: style of painting, but I just don't like it. I'm sorry.
- 31:38Speaker 1: At the time I got the gift, I thanked her
- 31:39Speaker 1: for it, and I thought that'd be the end of it.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I put the painting in the garage and I forgot
- 31:43Speaker 1: about it. I bought an ocean painting for the living
- 31:47Speaker 1: room of our new house. My daughter in law visited
- 31:50Speaker 1: the other day because she wanted to pick up some
- 31:51Speaker 1: Memorial Day decorations. Oh who has those? We were in
- 31:56Speaker 1: the garage and she saw her painting there.
- 31:58Speaker 6: No.
- 32:00Speaker 1: She was surprised and asked why it wasn't in the house.
- 32:02Speaker 1: I told her I didn't have a spot to put it.
- 32:04Speaker 1: She kept pressing me, and I mentioned I got a
- 32:07Speaker 1: new painting for our living room. I told her again
- 32:09Speaker 1: that I don't have a spot for it. She then
- 32:12Speaker 1: picked up the painting and said she would help me
- 32:15Speaker 1: find a spot.
- 32:15Speaker 6: So that.
- 32:19Speaker 5: Finally I told her no.
- 32:20Speaker 1: She asked why not, and I decided, you know what,
- 32:22Speaker 1: I just got to be honest and I said, I
- 32:24Speaker 1: am not a fan of your art work.
- 32:25Speaker 8: Oh.
- 32:30Speaker 1: She got quiet after that, and I gave her her decorations.
- 32:33Speaker 1: She left. I got a call from my son and
- 32:36Speaker 1: he was mad. He told me I needed to apologize
- 32:39Speaker 1: and hang up her painting. That's his wife and she's
- 32:43Speaker 1: been crying and it took her hours and hours to
- 32:46Speaker 1: make it.
- 32:46Speaker 5: I told her.
- 32:47Speaker 1: I told him I'm not hanging it up, and that
- 32:50Speaker 1: resulted in argument. I'm sorry, but I feel like she
- 32:52Speaker 1: is in the wrong. Stop being so pushy about your art.
- 32:56Speaker 5: Am I crazy?
- 32:57Speaker 1: Here? Hanna Lopez, Welcome to Canis Courts. And I like
- 33:01Speaker 1: this one because I do a lot of art, yeah,
- 33:03Speaker 1: especially lately.
- 33:04Speaker 5: And I mean I give it away too.
- 33:05Speaker 4: You give me an r piece yesterday I did.
- 33:07Speaker 3: It was so.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Thoughtful and you're definitely not gonna hang it out.
- 33:10Speaker 4: No, I am for sure.
- 33:11Speaker 1: I'm kidding.
- 33:11Speaker 5: It's fine.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but I'm glad you like it. Yeah, either way,
- 33:15Speaker 1: what do you think about this?
- 33:16Speaker 3: I just don't think it's fair to press her on
- 33:19Speaker 3: this and let me help you find a spot for it.
- 33:21Speaker 4: That's a little pushy.
- 33:23Speaker 3: Like, I get it your feelings might be hurt, but
- 33:26Speaker 3: like art is a risk, right, you have to create
- 33:29Speaker 3: an emotional response from the person who's receiving it or
- 33:32Speaker 3: looking at it. And that clearly didn't happen here.
- 33:35Speaker 1: It didn't. But I mean, at the end of the day,
- 33:37Speaker 1: I don't think this is about art. Yeah, I think
- 33:40Speaker 1: mother in law for whatever reason, just doesn't like daughter
- 33:43Speaker 1: in law. I don't think it has anything to do
- 33:45Speaker 1: with the art. Yet you can tell by the way
- 33:47Speaker 1: she's speaking she just doesn't like Like, if you look
- 33:49Speaker 1: at somebody's art, I might not be really into it,
- 33:52Speaker 1: but I can respect it.
- 33:54Speaker 4: Yeah, right for sure.
- 33:55Speaker 1: The way she's just talking about the art, it sounds
- 33:57Speaker 1: like she's just diminishing it, demeaning it, which leads me
- 34:00Speaker 1: to believe there's more to it than just this piece
- 34:02Speaker 1: of art.
- 34:02Speaker 3: Okay, I mean, yeah, saying that the people look off.
- 34:07Speaker 7: Yeah, but it's it's her house. Yeah, can't be expecting
- 34:10Speaker 7: prime real estate in my house.
- 34:12Speaker 1: You know, it's funny that you're not you're not taking
- 34:13Speaker 1: disagree with that. Yeah, I know, I know. But here's
- 34:17Speaker 1: my thoughts is, if you really truly love someone, you
- 34:20Speaker 1: might hang it up. You might not do it in
- 34:23Speaker 1: the living room. I might not do that in our
- 34:25Speaker 1: new house. To me, I wouldn't do the living room,
- 34:28Speaker 1: I'll be honest, right. But to me, the compromise might
- 34:30Speaker 1: be like the back hallway Okay, okay, you know, and
- 34:33Speaker 1: I hang it up there, and I'm like, hey, this
- 34:34Speaker 1: looks so good here, and i'd really, I don't know,
- 34:37Speaker 1: I have a big heart. You two are ruthless. I'd
- 34:39Speaker 1: probably hang it up in a guest bedroom or something.
- 34:42Speaker 1: I'd be like, look it works there.
- 34:44Speaker 5: Who cares.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it's my daughter and lost my son. I don't
- 34:47Speaker 1: want to hurt her feelings. I'd probably do it. I
- 34:48Speaker 1: gotta be honest. I do it, Yeah, because I like
- 34:51Speaker 1: art too, and I like I know people put a
- 34:53Speaker 1: lot into it.
- 34:54Speaker 3: I can see me just putting it somewhere just because
- 34:57Speaker 3: in the new house.
- 34:58Speaker 4: Like you, you're a dreaming about your new house for
- 35:00Speaker 4: so long.
- 35:01Speaker 3: And this is gonna go there, and that's gonna go
- 35:02Speaker 3: there aesthetic, like, it's all clean and exactly how we
- 35:05Speaker 3: want it to have people with long legs on the.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Beach, Yeah, and a curvy Let me ask you this second.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Do you put you know, Enzo's Do you put like
- 35:17Speaker 1: kids artwork on your fridge? Yes?
- 35:19Speaker 4: I have Enzo's artwork framed.
- 35:21Speaker 3: I'm actually working on a big modgepodge project of all
- 35:25Speaker 3: of his art.
- 35:25Speaker 5: Let me ask you this, Do you care about the aesthetic?
- 35:28Speaker 1: Uh?
- 35:28Speaker 4: Yeah, actually I do.
- 35:30Speaker 3: But I've figured out how to take some of his
- 35:32Speaker 3: paintings and frame them like in a gallery wall where.
- 35:35Speaker 1: They look when you're making the best out of it.
- 35:36Speaker 1: But like when my son was a kid, he's fifteen now,
- 35:39Speaker 1: he used to draw and put pictures on the fridge, right,
- 35:42Speaker 1: and they were awful.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Now you know what, Why did his hair? Why did
- 35:48Speaker 5: his fire.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Truck look like a hairy foot?
- 35:50Speaker 3: I have Enzo's first painting that he ever did and
- 35:54Speaker 3: brought home from preschool. And it's literally just pink paint
- 35:57Speaker 3: on a thing and that's it and it just scribbles.
- 35:59Speaker 4: And I put it in a frame.
- 36:00Speaker 3: And I'm like, that was his first art that he
- 36:02Speaker 3: brought home.
- 36:03Speaker 4: That's beautiful.
- 36:04Speaker 1: It has meaning behind yeah, you got a seed for
- 36:06Speaker 1: the meaning and not just the curvy off legs and
- 36:09Speaker 1: weird looking women.
- 36:10Speaker 5: Right, that's my point.
- 36:11Speaker 4: But it doesn't matter a stylis as she says.
- 36:15Speaker 1: I get people art all the time, Yeah, and I
- 36:18Speaker 1: but I don't. I will say this, I don't expect
- 36:21Speaker 1: anything out of it.
- 36:22Speaker 3: See exactly like I got into art when we lived
- 36:25Speaker 3: up in Vancouver, when I wasn't working. I took a
- 36:27Speaker 3: painting class and all this stuff, and I got really
- 36:29Speaker 3: into it. And my mother in law came over and
- 36:31Speaker 3: saw my first painting and.
- 36:32Speaker 4: Like she wanted it.
- 36:33Speaker 3: But it's still not done. I didn't finish it, and
- 36:36Speaker 3: I don't want to give it to her when it's
- 36:37Speaker 3: not done.
- 36:39Speaker 5: Did you give it to her?
- 36:40Speaker 3: Not yet, it's not it's still not done.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Ye.
- 36:43Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just been in that closet with my art
- 36:45Speaker 3: supplies because I just haven't had time or like desire
- 36:49Speaker 3: to do it lately.
- 36:51Speaker 1: But she says, you're tying no worries. I mean I
- 36:55Speaker 1: have artwork from Billy hanging up, and then I have
- 36:58Speaker 1: We wouldn't know because we've never been to your apartment.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Picture that Enzo what drew me and I put it
- 37:02Speaker 1: on my frigerator. Wait a minute, that's right. What artwork
- 37:04Speaker 1: did I give you the Marilyn Moreau you did?
- 37:07Speaker 5: I did?
- 37:08Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 37:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I have your artwork in my folder that you
- 37:12Speaker 3: draw when I give you a drawing challenge.
- 37:13Speaker 1: And your folder.
- 37:16Speaker 3: That's like just fun another fridge studio, Sketchy and Lopez.
- 37:22Speaker 1: We have a verdict.
- 37:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Look, I think this daughter laws guilty of being a masterpiece. Mandy.
- 37:28Speaker 3: If it's a masterpiece of you, it might not be
- 37:30Speaker 3: a masterpiece of else. And that's just the risk you
- 37:33Speaker 3: take when you're an artist. Okay, you'll find a home
- 37:35Speaker 3: for your art because someone out there will love the
- 37:38Speaker 3: stylized people on the beach. Okay, she is guilty of masterpiece, Mandy.
- 37:45Speaker 6: Tough Stories on the Tents with Billy the Kid in
- 37:47Speaker 6: the morning.
- 37:48Speaker 8: Only on the new mixed one or two point n
- 37:51Speaker 8: sing to.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Me Elle, Sorry I got lost time, I lost track
- 37:54Speaker 1: of time and everything. Yeah when that song comes off, okay.
- 37:57Speaker 5: Thank you. We got money coming up eight forty.
- 37:59Speaker 1: If you want that day, it would be a thousand
- 38:01Speaker 1: air one thousand dollars a lot of money. Oh yeah,
- 38:03Speaker 1: that'll fill your tank up like at least three times. Yeah, right,
- 38:06Speaker 1: about now, okay, get your money eight to forty your
- 38:08Speaker 1: first shot to win that we do have a forties
- 38:09Speaker 1: all day Canni Slowpez.
- 38:11Speaker 5: What is going on?
- 38:11Speaker 3: Well, the Red Oak City Council approved a new eight
- 38:14Speaker 3: hundred acre data center last night. This meeting went until
- 38:18Speaker 3: almost midnight after public comment from residents finally finished up.
- 38:22Speaker 3: Multiple people said they only found out about this proposal
- 38:25Speaker 3: within the last two weeks, after some property owners were
- 38:28Speaker 3: approached about selling their land. Others say they found out
- 38:31Speaker 3: through Facebook posts. But inside this meeting, residents voiced their
- 38:35Speaker 3: concerns over transparency, noise, traffic, air pollution, water usage. Say,
- 38:41Speaker 3: you know, our property values have declined rapidly since the
- 38:45Speaker 3: other five data centers and Red Oak opened, and there's
- 38:49Speaker 3: you know, some of them are still in development, but
- 38:51Speaker 3: they already have Google there.
- 38:52Speaker 8: You know.
- 38:52Speaker 4: They're saying this project would have a.
- 38:54Speaker 3: Closed loop cooling system that uses a lot less water
- 38:57Speaker 3: and wouldn't connect to the public water system. But I
- 39:00Speaker 3: just feel so bad for people who have lived there
- 39:02Speaker 3: for decades, you know, and are just like these data
- 39:04Speaker 3: centers popping up all around us and the values of
- 39:06Speaker 3: their homes going down, and the light pollution, which I
- 39:09Speaker 3: didn't realize was a real thing until I saw some
- 39:12Speaker 3: woman who was complaining that because she lives close to
- 39:15Speaker 3: a data center.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Yeah, the lights are so bright that I mean you,
- 39:19Speaker 1: she couldn't even she couldn't even sleep, she said, because
- 39:22Speaker 1: it was so bad. She would walk outside and it
- 39:24Speaker 1: felt like daylight. Right, and then her water pressure was
- 39:27Speaker 1: real low because he was taking up so much of
- 39:29Speaker 1: the water.
- 39:30Speaker 5: She didn't even take a shower. It was really weird.
- 39:32Speaker 4: Yeah, that's unfortunate.
- 39:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean they also say, you know, infrastructure improvements
- 39:36Speaker 3: would help fire protection, which could reduce insurance costs. But
- 39:40Speaker 3: add that to the you know, low frequency hum and
- 39:42Speaker 3: you know, the property values and all the things. I
- 39:44Speaker 3: just I would hate to have that pop up.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Well, Cannis doesn't like that kind of stuff.
- 39:48Speaker 5: You think.
- 39:48Speaker 1: It's like you're very organic. Yeah, when it comes to everything,
- 39:52Speaker 1: everything you eat, everything you put on your scream.
- 39:53Speaker 4: Mean I tried, which is good to be low talks.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you.
- 39:59Speaker 3: She said, crunchy little crunchy.
- 40:01Speaker 5: What does that mean.
- 40:02Speaker 3: Well, it's just like, you know, you're into organic things, and.
- 40:04Speaker 4: Like that's what they call themselves, crunchy crunchy moms.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm a crunchy mom. Yeah, I'm a soggy dad.
- 40:14Speaker 3: Guys, three dozen pilots were hired to basically repo jets,
- 40:18Speaker 3: at least by Spirit Airlines.
- 40:20Speaker 5: I know, I saw this story.
- 40:23Speaker 1: This story is awesome.
- 40:24Speaker 3: Yeah. This company who does this is called Nomadic Aviation Groups.
- 40:27Speaker 3: So some of these pilots once worked for Spirit, so
- 40:30Speaker 3: they know these planes pretty well.
- 40:31Speaker 4: But they've been going.
- 40:32Speaker 3: To airports where Spirit was operating, like Charlotte, Houston and Columbus, Ohio,
- 40:37Speaker 3: because you know, some of these planes are still parked
- 40:39Speaker 3: at the gates from their last flights.
- 40:41Speaker 4: They got on them, drinks.
- 40:42Speaker 1: On them, they got everything on them, ready to go
- 40:45Speaker 1: for a flight, but they just didn't take off because
- 40:47Speaker 1: Spirit just closed the doors. Yeah, even if you were
- 40:50Speaker 1: at the just think about that. You're at the gate
- 40:51Speaker 1: and they're like, yeah, we're out of business. By the way,
- 40:53Speaker 1: see you tomorrow.
- 40:54Speaker 4: I can't even see you never.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Yeah, see you never. You're just like, well, what do
- 40:57Speaker 1: I do? Don't care?
- 40:58Speaker 5: Bye?
- 41:00Speaker 4: It's awful.
- 41:01Speaker 3: Side note American Airlines saying they expect a record breaking
- 41:04Speaker 3: summer travel season, even with fuel prices on the rise.
- 41:08Speaker 3: They say they think they'll have over seventy five million customers,
- 41:11Speaker 3: beating their previous summer travel record from twenty nineteen. And
- 41:14Speaker 3: I thought everyone was sitting out this summer me too,
- 41:17Speaker 3: But no, the most travel day is expected to be Friday,
- 41:20Speaker 3: May twenty.
- 41:20Speaker 4: Second, leading up to Memorial Day. Yeah, so just a
- 41:24Speaker 4: heads up.
- 41:25Speaker 1: Oh that's a hot take.
- 41:26Speaker 6: Let us know what you think.
- 41:27Speaker 8: Here's today's hot.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Take mixed one or two point nine A bill at
- 41:30Speaker 1: a kid Canislopez, producer Pooh Hot take of the day.
- 41:34Speaker 1: I saw this, I thought this is very interesting because
- 41:36Speaker 1: you know, you can get into parenting debates all day.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah, but I feel like things have definitely changed
- 41:41Speaker 1: since we were kids.
- 41:43Speaker 5: I mean as an elder millennial.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Yeah, and Pooh you as a boomer, Oh god, your
- 41:49Speaker 1: parenting might have been a little bit different back in
- 41:52Speaker 1: the day. But you know, and I don't like to
- 41:54Speaker 1: parent shame or parent judge or whatever, but this woman's
- 41:57Speaker 1: going viral for what she's saying.
- 41:59Speaker 5: She tells her.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Kids they don't have to do. Are you ready?
- 42:03Speaker 11: Yeah, listen, I never ever will make my kids share
- 42:07Speaker 11: their stuff that they brought with another child.
- 42:10Speaker 4: Number one, you should have brought your own. Number two,
- 42:12Speaker 4: that's their toy. They don't have to share with you?
- 42:15Speaker 1: What should she tells her kids? You don't have to share.
- 42:20Speaker 1: You do not have to share. Stop with the sharing
- 42:23Speaker 1: listen number three.
- 42:25Speaker 10: You don't have to do something just because somebody asks.
- 42:27Speaker 11: I think especially for women, that is like really important
- 42:30Speaker 11: to learn. If my kids want to share, yeah, sure,
- 42:33Speaker 11: go along for it.
- 42:34Speaker 9: Now.
- 42:34Speaker 3: If you're coming over to our house to play for a.
- 42:36Speaker 11: Play date, that's very different, right because we're welcoming them
- 42:39Speaker 11: then into our space. Okay, But if we're out and about,
- 42:42Speaker 11: my kid doesn't want to share her doll with your kid,
- 42:45Speaker 11: she doesn't have to.
- 42:46Speaker 1: I'm so interested when people think about this because too,
- 42:49Speaker 1: I always wonder, you know, we just do things sometimes
- 42:53Speaker 1: because that's what we think we should do, right, you know,
- 42:55Speaker 1: that's what we were told to do. That's what we
- 42:56Speaker 1: just do it. And and I understand her point of saying, well,
- 43:00Speaker 1: we shouldn't just you know, especially with young women, to
- 43:04Speaker 1: them that if they're told to do something, they should
- 43:06Speaker 1: do it. No, But at this age, I know what
- 43:09Speaker 1: she's referring to, right, But it's like two different things
- 43:13Speaker 1: to me.
- 43:13Speaker 3: Yeah, it's hard because I have one child and teaching
- 43:15Speaker 3: him to share, like sometimes we have to share with him,
- 43:19Speaker 3: you know what I mean, like my turn take turns
- 43:21Speaker 3: as parents because he doesn't.
- 43:22Speaker 4: Learn sharing, you know, at home.
- 43:24Speaker 3: If we don't, you know, he's learning at school. And
- 43:26Speaker 3: I understand the balance of trying to make sure we
- 43:28Speaker 3: don't develop, you know, a people pleaser too, because I
- 43:31Speaker 3: feel like I'm recovering people pleaser and so you know,
- 43:35Speaker 3: I'm trying to not create that in my son, but
- 43:38Speaker 3: also raise him to be a great human being.
- 43:40Speaker 5: Yeah, with a big heart.
- 43:41Speaker 1: I don't think I could ever tell my kids don't share. Yeah.
- 43:44Speaker 1: I don't think I would say because she's stilling her kids, no,
- 43:47Speaker 1: don't share to me. I'm like, well, I might see
- 43:50Speaker 1: in certain situations. Yeah, yeah, that's okay, you know, if
- 43:53Speaker 1: you don't want to. But I would be very specific
- 43:56Speaker 1: about it. I don't know if i'd just be like,
- 43:57Speaker 1: don't share, right, you don't have to share, but.
- 44:00Speaker 3: You should have brought your own.
- 44:04Speaker 1: That's what I thought. I would tell my kids to
- 44:06Speaker 1: do that.
- 44:06Speaker 7: But I remember telling my fourteen and thirteen year old
- 44:09Speaker 7: when they were little, like take your own toys to.
- 44:12Speaker 1: The playground or whatever.
- 44:14Speaker 7: Yeah, that way they didn't have to be let down.
- 44:15Speaker 7: Because some kids are stingy. Other kids don't it's mine, yeah,
- 44:19Speaker 7: And they don't want to share.
- 44:21Speaker 1: So it's like, bring your own.
- 44:22Speaker 5: That's a learning lesson in itself.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Bring your own toys so you don't have to worry
- 44:26Speaker 1: about that. And if they don't share whatever, you don't
- 44:29Speaker 1: have to share with nobody. You have your own toy
- 44:31Speaker 1: and you ain't crying about it.
- 44:33Speaker 3: You Andenza would have his monster trucks at the playground
- 44:35Speaker 3: or whatever, and there was a kid with nothing that
- 44:37Speaker 3: was kind of looking at him. I would always say,
- 44:39Speaker 3: ask him if he wants to play with it, give
- 44:40Speaker 3: him a turn, because you're a good mom.
- 44:42Speaker 5: Yeah, And I think that's what a good mom would do.
- 44:44Speaker 1: I don't think a good mom would be like, I'm
- 44:46Speaker 1: sorry that kid doesn't have his toys.
- 44:48Speaker 5: That's tough luck. Don't play with the dirt kid.
- 44:51Speaker 3: I mean, as an adult, we got to share stuff too,
- 44:54Speaker 3: So how are we going to get ready to share
- 44:55Speaker 3: the road and share the workspace?
- 44:57Speaker 5: And that's my point.
- 44:58Speaker 1: And then she's like, well, basically to that kid at
- 45:01Speaker 1: the playground, if you know your kid at a truck
- 45:04Speaker 1: and another kid didn't, and the kid is looking, she
- 45:06Speaker 1: would say, if you don't want to share too.
- 45:08Speaker 4: Bad, shout you own.
- 45:09Speaker 5: You should have brought your own, even if the kids crying. Whatever.
- 45:13Speaker 5: My kid doesn't have to share.
- 45:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean they're little.
- 45:16Speaker 5: It's going on.
- 45:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I think if we teach kindness in
- 45:19Speaker 3: any way, we.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Can't lose, you know. And then as you get older,
- 45:22Speaker 1: you start to dissect it, and then you teach them
- 45:25Speaker 1: things within that. Hey, there's certain things you share, and
- 45:27Speaker 1: there's certain things you don't have to share. Yeah, just
- 45:29Speaker 1: because someone tells you something. But at this age, it's like,
- 45:32Speaker 1: just teach the basics. Yeah, then you can get a
- 45:36Speaker 1: little deeper into it as they get older. Like another
- 45:38Speaker 1: thing they're telling now that you should never tell your kids.
- 45:40Speaker 1: This is another thing they said, practice, practice makes perfect.
- 45:44Speaker 1: You shouldn't They say, never say that to a kid.
- 45:46Speaker 1: I saw apparenting experts say never say that to a
- 45:49Speaker 1: kid because there's no such thing as perfect. Okay, well no,
- 45:55Speaker 1: but there might not be.
- 45:56Speaker 5: But at the same time, don't.
- 45:58Speaker 3: Take it so literally, right exactly, it's.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Just if you practice something, you're gonna get good at it.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Right now, we're going to analyze everything in our world
- 46:06Speaker 1: to where we can't say anything, we can't do anything.
- 46:08Speaker 3: That's why it's so hard to be a parent in
- 46:09Speaker 3: twenty twenty six because everything we.
- 46:11Speaker 4: Do is wrong.
- 46:12Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, there's two sides to every parenting strategy.
- 46:16Speaker 4: And I don't know if we're.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Winning or not, but I know I've got a great
- 46:19Speaker 3: human that's seven years old at home, and he treats
- 46:21Speaker 3: people well, he does, and that's the win for me.
- 46:24Speaker 1: And then that is the correct thing. And every kid's differently.
- 46:27Speaker 1: But you're right, you got a great kid because you're
- 46:30Speaker 1: telling him, if there's a kid without a toy, maybe
- 46:31Speaker 1: should go play with him.
- 46:32Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe be nice exactly.
- 46:35Speaker 5: Not get your own toys. This stupid poor little kid.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Oh Good more.
- 46:42Speaker 6: His top stories on the Tents with Billy the Kid in.
- 46:44Speaker 8: The Morning only on the New Mix one or two
- 46:47Speaker 8: point nine.
- 46:48Speaker 1: It was so nice out like eighty three and sunny today,
- 46:51Speaker 1: same thinking tomorrow a little warmer actually tomorrow high around ninety.
- 46:54Speaker 1: And then this week and they're saying it's gonna be
- 46:55Speaker 1: clowny but not much rain. Good originally said it was
- 46:58Speaker 1: gonna rain, but now the rain looks like it's to
- 47:00Speaker 1: hold out till Monday. But nobody's been right about the
- 47:02Speaker 1: weather in the past month. I know, so who knows
- 47:04Speaker 1: cand Slopez what is going on?
- 47:06Speaker 3: Well, this new report says Texas public schools are seeing
- 47:09Speaker 3: their first non pandemic enrollment decline in.
- 47:11Speaker 4: About forty years.
- 47:12Speaker 3: This is a historic drop of over seventy six one
- 47:16Speaker 3: thousand students. The report says this represents a one point
- 47:19Speaker 3: four percent decrease from last year. But there were a
- 47:23Speaker 3: few places that had growth. Dallas and Richardson, we're both.
- 47:26Speaker 4: On that list, but for Orth saw a notable decline.
- 47:29Speaker 3: And they're saying that the biggest drop is coming from
- 47:32Speaker 3: elementary schools, so, you know, just lower birth rates, as
- 47:36Speaker 3: you know, a big factor in this. More people are
- 47:38Speaker 3: going for alternative education options like private schools or homeschooling,
- 47:42Speaker 3: and a good percentage they're saying, are you know, from
- 47:44Speaker 3: Hispanic communities, And so this is a big deal, you know,
- 47:48Speaker 3: because this is only the second time we've.
- 47:50Speaker 4: Seen a drop like this in our history.
- 47:53Speaker 3: Right, So yeah, it's times are changing for sure, and.
- 47:56Speaker 1: The schools are closing, Like some of the schools I
- 47:58Speaker 1: feel like I never heard of one was kid, I
- 48:00Speaker 1: never heard of a school closing.
- 48:01Speaker 3: We had the portables outside the school because we didn't
- 48:04Speaker 3: have enough rome for everybody.
- 48:05Speaker 5: We had trailer. Yeah, trailer is.
- 48:07Speaker 4: That what it was called.
- 48:08Speaker 5: I mean in my neighborhood was.
- 48:12Speaker 4: Portable classroom.
- 48:13Speaker 1: Fancy way of saying the trailers.
- 48:16Speaker 4: So I don't know, I hated those though, you did, Yeah,
- 48:20Speaker 4: because you had to walk outside.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Yeah, so it was like in the back and yeah,
- 48:26Speaker 1: they got hot quick.
- 48:27Speaker 4: And yeah, you couldn't figure out which one was weird.
- 48:29Speaker 1: Your school had a C. Yeah, oh, my school didn't
- 48:33Speaker 1: have a C. Your high school, No, mine. I don't
- 48:35Speaker 1: think my mislementary my middle school. But I grew up
- 48:37Speaker 1: in Michigan.
- 48:38Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true, that makes sense a C. I don't think, Oh,
- 48:41Speaker 3: you didn't need it. I guess we did. Okay, so
- 48:44Speaker 3: it gets hot, but we didn't have it. We didn't
- 48:46Speaker 3: have lost time.
- 48:48Speaker 1: What'd you write? I mean, what did you read? We didn't.
- 48:53Speaker 5: That's obvious in my reading level.
- 48:57Speaker 4: All right.
- 48:57Speaker 3: The Cowboys announced their season opener yesterday. They'll take on
- 49:01Speaker 3: the New York Giants in New York on September thirteenth.
- 49:04Speaker 3: They've also revealed who we're going to play on Thanksgiving Day,
- 49:07Speaker 3: and that will be the Eagles. The NFL is going
- 49:09Speaker 3: to release the full.
- 49:10Speaker 4: Schedule coming up on Thursday.
- 49:12Speaker 3: But this is just you know, a little pretreat they're
- 49:15Speaker 3: giving us.
- 49:16Speaker 1: I got a little slack earlier because I said, I
- 49:18Speaker 1: don't know this year. I'm just I'm kind of defeated,
- 49:20Speaker 1: like I'm going into it like here we go again. Yeah,
- 49:23Speaker 1: and then people are like, come on, you're not a fan.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Of course, I'm a Cowboys fan.
- 49:26Speaker 3: I mean we always look forward to September. I love
- 49:28Speaker 3: seeing when the Cowboys go to Oxnard.
- 49:30Speaker 4: It's just a tradition. It's the whole vibe.
- 49:32Speaker 1: I no candae, but it's where I'm fatigued.
- 49:35Speaker 3: Yeah already.
- 49:36Speaker 4: But but yeah, then.
- 49:37Speaker 1: I got back to my senses. Yeah, that's our year.
- 49:42Speaker 1: It is.
- 49:42Speaker 4: It is our year. We're all in.
- 49:44Speaker 3: Speaking of sports guys, we mentioned Katie Perry yesterday. She's
- 49:47Speaker 3: basically headlining the World Cup opening ceremony. But Sports Illustrated
- 49:51Speaker 3: just announced a four city concert and nightlife events series.
- 49:55Speaker 3: It is coming to Dallas, so the performers on the
- 49:58Speaker 3: lineup will be different for each city. So Nelly is
- 50:01Speaker 3: a part of it.
- 50:01Speaker 4: Fifty said dip Lo, the.
- 50:03Speaker 3: Chainsmokers and Gordo, who is headlining the Dallas show, La
- 50:08Speaker 3: Miami and New York are also getting shows, but ours
- 50:11Speaker 3: is going to be June twentieth.
- 50:12Speaker 4: They say they're going to announce.
- 50:13Speaker 3: More performers as we get a little bit closer. But yeah,
- 50:16Speaker 3: something I look forward to as these events start getting
- 50:18Speaker 3: announced around the World Cup.
- 50:19Speaker 1: I know they're saying it's going to get hectic, but
- 50:21Speaker 1: not as hectic as they thought it was going to get. Yeah,
- 50:24Speaker 1: which is a good and a bad thing, because this
- 50:26Speaker 1: is good for the economy. We want it busy, but yeah, traffic.
- 50:28Speaker 1: I don't think we're ready for it. Yeah.
- 50:30Speaker 4: No, I'm definitely not ready for it.
- 50:31Speaker 3: But we'll keep you posted on any other events, of course.
- 50:34Speaker 3: I'm Kanda Slowpez. Those are your Texas top stories.
- 50:38Speaker 6: Good off your chest.
- 50:39Speaker 4: We promised you'll feel better.
- 50:41Speaker 6: Welcome to the Dirty Little Secret.
- 50:42Speaker 5: I'm mixed one or two point nine.
- 50:44Speaker 1: We got one thousand dollars coming up next if you
- 50:45Speaker 1: want it, fat stacks of cash all day on the forty,
- 50:48Speaker 1: So make sure you listen if you want to win
- 50:50Speaker 1: one thousand dollars, easy money all day, All right now,
- 50:53Speaker 1: dirty little Secret, if you've got one, tell me all
- 50:55Speaker 1: your secrets, confess to us.
- 50:57Speaker 5: You'll feel better.
- 50:58Speaker 1: It's like spring cleaning and for your soul. Okay, whatever
- 51:02Speaker 1: it is to non judgment zone eight three three seven
- 51:04Speaker 1: eight seven one h two nine, go ahead.
- 51:06Speaker 5: What's up?
- 51:07Speaker 1: Oh?
- 51:07Speaker 8: Man?
- 51:08Speaker 9: I feel bad even calling because technically this was not
- 51:11Speaker 9: my business, but it is bothering me.
- 51:15Speaker 10: So much I cannot stop thinking about it.
- 51:18Speaker 1: What what's up?
- 51:19Speaker 9: I have this coworker and we're really friendly at work,
- 51:21Speaker 9: but she acts like we're best friends, which we are
- 51:24Speaker 9: absolutely not. And lately she's been like calling out of
- 51:28Speaker 9: work a ton, showing up late, leaving early, all that stuff.
- 51:33Speaker 9: Then one day I overheard my boss saying something about
- 51:36Speaker 9: how she's trying to like be understanding because my coworker
- 51:39Speaker 9: is dealing with morning sickness, and I'm like, wait, what,
- 51:44Speaker 9: Oh she's pregnant.
- 51:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 51:46Speaker 9: Well, later that day she like pulls me aside and
- 51:52Speaker 9: tells me, and she's laughing that she's not actually pregnant,
- 51:56Speaker 9: you guys.
- 51:58Speaker 1: What, Oh come not pregnant. She's not.
- 52:01Speaker 9: She just told our boss that she was because she
- 52:03Speaker 9: needed an excuse for always being late.
- 52:06Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I hate this so much.
- 52:11Speaker 10: I hate it too. She like she just like figured
- 52:13Speaker 10: nobody questions a pregnant woman.
- 52:16Speaker 1: That's right, man, what's gonna happen in nine months or
- 52:19Speaker 1: you know, seven months? Well, I don't know, you know,
- 52:21Speaker 1: however long. She's like, obviously there's no good energy to.
- 52:24Speaker 4: Keep this going exactly.
- 52:26Speaker 10: I was speechless.
- 52:28Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't blame you. I would not like this either.
- 52:30Speaker 3: So I'm sick one thing, I had a death in
- 52:33Speaker 3: the family.
- 52:34Speaker 4: People use that, but I'm pregnant.
- 52:36Speaker 9: I know it girls that even more because like people have,
- 52:40Speaker 9: you know, struggle for years to have babies, they like
- 52:43Speaker 9: women lose babies, and she's just like using it as
- 52:46Speaker 9: a fake sick day path like just it's so disgusting.
- 52:50Speaker 9: It made me look at her completely differently.
- 52:52Speaker 1: Yeah I would too, This would make me look at
- 52:54Speaker 1: somebody differently. I'd be like, this is I'd almost have
- 52:57Speaker 1: to say something. But like you said, I know it's
- 52:59Speaker 1: not take think your business. But at the same time,
- 53:02Speaker 1: I just it's gross to lie about. It's so gross awful.
- 53:06Speaker 9: And like you were saying, like she hasn't thought it through,
- 53:09Speaker 9: like how do you end a fake pregnancy?
- 53:11Speaker 5: You know, that's it.
- 53:12Speaker 1: She's unfortunately probably going to say that fake the end
- 53:15Speaker 1: of the pregnant, fake the end of it too, And
- 53:17Speaker 1: you know that's not going to.
- 53:18Speaker 3: Be grow Okay, she'll probably take a couple of days
- 53:20Speaker 3: off for that too.
- 53:21Speaker 1: That now that would enrage Yeah, that wouldn't rage hor
- 53:26Speaker 1: That's I don't even want to think about that. I
- 53:27Speaker 1: don't like that at all.
- 53:29Speaker 9: So I know, so, like my dilemma is like I
- 53:32Speaker 9: want to part of me wants to tell my boss
- 53:34Speaker 9: because it's so gross. But then I'm like, do I
- 53:36Speaker 9: really want to get involved in this like a storm?
- 53:39Speaker 5: I don't know, do you?
- 53:40Speaker 1: That's a good question, like does this something like I'm
- 53:43Speaker 1: trying to think, like we have to watch these videos
- 53:44Speaker 1: sometimes of work, Like if somebody is doing something compliance, right,
- 53:48Speaker 1: would you yeah? Compliance, would you say something, see something,
- 53:52Speaker 1: say something?
- 53:52Speaker 3: But in this case, unless her like work is affecting
- 53:56Speaker 3: the team or tanking the company or like our goals together,
- 54:00Speaker 3: I don't.
- 54:00Speaker 4: Know if you could say anything.
- 54:01Speaker 1: Technically she is stealing company time and money though if
- 54:05Speaker 1: she's lying about But then again, how do I don't
- 54:08Speaker 1: know if if she told you this, if she just
- 54:11Speaker 1: told you this, it could be just hearsay.
- 54:13Speaker 5: You know.
- 54:13Speaker 3: Yeah, if you're the only one she told, then she's
- 54:16Speaker 3: gonna know you're the one that ratted her.
- 54:17Speaker 8: Out.
- 54:18Speaker 1: I don't know if I would say anything. I think
- 54:19Speaker 1: this kind of karma comes full circle on its own.
- 54:22Speaker 10: Yeah, I'm great. I don't know.
- 54:24Speaker 7: You know, if you tell her that they got to
- 54:27Speaker 7: get HR involved the whole big No.
- 54:30Speaker 1: That's who you would tell, is HR? I guess right, Yeah,
- 54:33Speaker 1: I don't know. Yeah, I don't tell anything. I avoid
- 54:37Speaker 1: HR at all costs. Even when I see him in
- 54:39Speaker 1: the hallway, I keep my head down like they won't
- 54:44Speaker 1: notice me.
- 54:45Speaker 10: Right, Yeah, I think I might stay out of it.
- 54:47Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Well, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you got to deal
- 54:50Speaker 1: with that. That is that is awful, and I would yeah,
- 54:52Speaker 1: I wouldn't. It feels icky. I wouldn't want to be
- 54:54Speaker 1: around it at all. But she'll get hers, I don't know.
- 54:57Speaker 1: Some way, somehow this stuff comes around. I truly believe that.
- 55:00Speaker 1: And you know it won't be It won't be good
- 55:03Speaker 1: for her.
- 55:04Speaker 10: No, it is not going to be good, not at all.
- 55:06Speaker 5: Well, let us know what.
