  SPEAKER_01: It's outside of Buffalo with his whole family.

  SPEAKER_01: And I think I'm gonna can like salsa, spaghetti sauce.

  SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's actually not a terrible idea.

  SPEAKER_00: I came this close to making a brisket chili over the weekend, but it got a little away from me.

  SPEAKER_00: So I think maybe this weekend.

  SPEAKER_01: Did you notice how hot it was this weekend?

  SPEAKER_01: Oh, yesterday was an oven.

  SPEAKER_01: I wanted to eat chili yesterday while football was on, and I'm like, oh my god, I'm sweating.

  SPEAKER_01: We had to close the windows back again and then turn the AC on.

  SPEAKER_00: Three observations that came out of uh uh of Nelly on Friday.

  SPEAKER_00: And I said, I I gotta message myself or I will forget.

  SPEAKER_00: Okay, number one.

  SPEAKER_00: First of all, number one, uh, I I totally blew up Allie on the way to Nelly.

  SPEAKER_00: I was I called you literally as I was pulling out of my my uh neighborhood because I I needed to coordinate with you on, okay, well, we gotta get t-shirts in a certain space because we we toss out t-shirts at the concerts and stuff like that.

  SPEAKER_00: So I all of a sudden, as I'm talking to Allie and she's uh I said, Did you leave yet?

  SPEAKER_00: And you hear, uh I'm about ready to go in a couple seconds.

  SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, at first I thought, are you yawning?

  SPEAKER_00: And then uh she goes, No, I got two, three of my managing.

  SPEAKER_00: And fortunately, I'm understanding Allie totally gave me mascara mouth as we're talking.

  SPEAKER_00: Why when you're women, explain.

  SPEAKER_00: Okay, here we go.

  SPEAKER_00: Why when you're applying mascara to your eyelashes, does your mouth hang open?

  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.

  SPEAKER_00: It's an instantaneous drop of the jaw.

  SPEAKER_00: You're like, I'm having a normal conversation.

  SPEAKER_00: Oh, the mascara, talking like this, I'll talk about my mouth and closing.

  SPEAKER_01: I have tried to do it with my mouth closed just to, I don't know, a science experiment.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm like, it looks like I'm about to well up and cry.

  SPEAKER_00: Is there anyone that can put mascara on with their mouth closed?

  SPEAKER_00: Because I now fortunately I've I've worked with you for 20 plus years now.

  SPEAKER_01: No, he went to he went up to Watkins Glen because Grand Prix was also this weekend.

  SPEAKER_00: No, like there wasn't enough to do.

  SPEAKER_01: Him and his dudes went up there and then they went to Scale House and watched the.

  SPEAKER_00: Side note, how did he say uh it went up there?

  SPEAKER_01: He got stuck in traffic and he was so dead.

  SPEAKER_01: Because they went to pick somebody up.

  SPEAKER_01: They were doing, you know, Grand Prix and also Scale House to see this band.

  SPEAKER_01: And this guy lived close enough to um the 7-Eleven in Watkins that they ended up going further in and and he goes, and then I got stuck in traffic for a half hour.

  SPEAKER_01: Oh I said, why didn't you guys take it's 14th Street?

  SPEAKER_01: Why don't you take 14th Street and go the back way and tell that guy to walk and meet you?

  SPEAKER_00: That's the that's the way to go.

  SPEAKER_00: And he goes, Well, definitely a seat.

  SPEAKER_01: I don't know why I didn't put my foot down on that.

  SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh my gosh.

  SPEAKER_01: He does not like being stuck in traffic.

  SPEAKER_00: So that was well, I mean, really, who does?

  SPEAKER_00: Because you always got somewhere to be.

  SPEAKER_01: But he did say it was insanely packed down in Watkins Glen.

  SPEAKER_00: Okay, so number one was mascara mouth.

  SPEAKER_00: Number two was so Allie and I, while we were at the concert, a couple things that happened is uh we had to shuffle a couple people around different areas of tags to get them to like a couple winners we had to get to different places.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.

  SPEAKER_00: So we had taken a back way.

  SPEAKER_00: Obviously, Allie and I have access to the backstage.

  SPEAKER_00: So we're just like, all right, we're gonna sneak you through this way, just be quiet, follow us quickly.

  SPEAKER_00: We'll get you to get we'll get you to where you gotta be, right?

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.

  SPEAKER_00: Well, they didn't realize it.

  SPEAKER_00: But Nelly was playing video games right outside his tour bus, not 20 feet from where we were walking past.

  SPEAKER_01: Well, and it was funny because you even said, Don't go over there.

  SPEAKER_01: It it's it's honestly it's an unspoken rule to not bother the artist.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just let him be.

  SPEAKER_01: And and we I have something on top of that too.

  SPEAKER_01: So you had left and I stayed backstage.

  SPEAKER_01: Well apparently there was a no-guest policy.

  SPEAKER_01: Now, this is not a rude thing, this is just an artist trying to get ready.

  SPEAKER_01: And I kind of understand this, not that we're famous or anything, but there are certain things that I like to be ready for, and I have I might do for the show.

  SPEAKER_01: I like a little bit of serenity prior to the show and just getting ready.

  SPEAKER_01: So the artists ask the same thing.

  SPEAKER_01: This is not bug me whatsoever.

  SPEAKER_01: I didn't I didn't think he was being rude or anything, but he had like a no-guest policy right on side stage on the certain side, and I stayed.

  SPEAKER_01: And one of the production guys he goes, I'm not supposed to let you stay up here, but I know you're not gonna do anything stupid.

  SPEAKER_01: So he gave me he ended up giving me an access sticker.

  SPEAKER_01: So then I said, Can I record him uh with his entrance going on stage?

  SPEAKER_01: And he goes, Not this one.

  SPEAKER_01: Because I've done it before I did it with Trey Songs, and sometimes you can get away with it.

  SPEAKER_01: And he's like, mm-mm.
• 5:55
  SPEAKER_00: No, but that's okay.

  SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's you you you kind of realize.

  SPEAKER_01: But and that's the that's the thing.

  SPEAKER_01: When we were walking backstage, Scott was like, Don't go to the right.

  SPEAKER_01: Because he was there with it.

  SPEAKER_01: And did you see like his kids were there?
• 6:06
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, that was the other reason I'm thinking he didn't want to be disturbed because as I was leaving, actually, uh heading to back the other side, I noticed at one point I think he might have been talking to Ashanti.

  SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure she was there.

  SPEAKER_01: Yes, and that's well, yeah, because I saw the kids and everything.

  SPEAKER_01: So I mean, I would assume that she was there if I saw the kids.

  SPEAKER_01: I think they were allowed.

  SPEAKER_00: I mean, they had a nice bus and everything, so why not?

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because at one point I saw him like holding his kid's hand, and at another point I saw him like pick one up or whatever.

  SPEAKER_01: So it's just it's just the unspoken rules.

  SPEAKER_01: Just let him be.

  SPEAKER_01: It's the unspoken rules of entertainment.

  SPEAKER_00: I will finish observation two and then tell you about observation three from over the weekend, which had nothing to do with the Nelly concert.
