- 0:05Not doing that. If Kevin could, you know, get
- 0:11the energy together to do that, Jake, you should be able to,
- 0:13too. Yes, there's.
- 0:14Suppressed on this team in shambles.
- 0:17Yeah, I feel like he's just been hanging out with us for a while,
- 0:21so he's in good spirits now. Yeah, we have.
- 0:24To putting all my depression to the other side of my brain.
- 0:26And right now I'm just taking this thing on Nice.

- 0:35to providing you all good content.
- 0:37Welcome in everybody to Bangor Management, the Fantasy Hockey
- 0:41Podcast with Jake, Josh and Eccentric Sound Kevin.
- 0:46Woo. Very excentric.
- 0:50Yes today we're gonna be doing our Week 2 male bag episode.

- 1:08You should definitely join the discord community which is also
- 1:11in that link tree. You'll have direct interaction
- 1:14with us to growing community of all people doing fantasy hockey
- 1:19and I think there's a lot of, you know, we have a lot of fun
- 1:22there and we love to have everybody in.
- 1:25It's a party in there, to be honest.
- 1:26Yeah, it is. Every day I feel like I'd rather
- 1:28do that than my day job so. Yeah, 100%.
- 1:32Yeah, exactly. So yeah, you could give us some
- 1:36little tidbits about this mailbag episode and then we will
- 1:39dive in with the first question. Yes, Sir.
- 1:41So if you're new here, mail back episode, we try to answer a lot
- 1:45of your questions every week, so we can give you those timely
- 1:49answers. Obviously, not everything is
- 1:51going to be super time sensitive.
- 1:52So if you have anything super time sensitive like a trade
- 1:55request or you know, pickups or drops, like obviously those
- 1:58should be asked in a Discord and will give you an answer right
- 2:00away. But for your more general
- 2:01questions or less time sensitive ones, we'll cover them here.
- 2:06We can answer everything on the podcast, but we're gonna try to
- 2:09cover the ones that we can give the most value to the most
- 2:12people. So that's why we selected these
- 2:15questions. But if you haven't heard your
- 2:17question on the podcast, we probably answered it.
- 2:19You're on Reddit or Instagram DMS or or a Discord wherever you
- 2:23asked it. So yeah, let's get into it.
- 2:26Alright, let's dive right in. So Allens among us on Reddit
- 2:30asked Zetterlund or Jenner in a 16 team Cats league regular
- 2:34scoring. I think this is an obvious
- 2:37gender. For sure that one has been good
- 2:40for hits and maybe with the Brady injury he gets a little
- 2:43more more looks, but I feel like General is just already too
- 2:45cemented in that lineup. You gotta go, Jenner.
- 2:48Yeah, it's no brainer, especially with the power play.
- 2:501 and face off wins if your league counts those.
- 2:53Absolutely. Yep.
- 2:55Alright, why Swan 7934 on Reddit asked in a Bangor Cats league?
- 3:01Who are some commonly drafted D that you would drop to pick up
- 3:04Klingberg for example? I just dropped the Angelo for
- 3:07him. So I've got actually a nice list
- 3:09of highly rostered defensemen that I think are pretty much
- 3:13unrestorable. Not all of them unrestorable.
- 3:16I don't wanna hurt Dickey's feelings with the but but these
- 3:19are guys that that I'm not a big fan of.
- 3:22And I did realize in a previous episode that some of the reason
- 3:25the reason some of these guys might be so highly rostered is
- 3:27because of plus minus, but that's a garbage stat, so I'm
- 3:31not gonna count it. So here we go.
- 3:33We've got the number one on this list always is Devon Taves.
- 3:36He does absolutely nothing for fantasy other than plus minus.
- 3:38So definitely would take Klingberg over him.
- 3:41Gus Forsling Solid for shots, but not much to write home
- 3:44about. This name might have said
- 3:45Jackie, but Cam Fowler. St.
- 3:48Louis is off to a really slow start.
- 3:49He doesn't get back cats and they're split power play.
- 3:52I saw Falk takeover power play one for a bit, so I'll take
- 3:55Klingberg. Thomas Shabad definitely
- 3:57Sanderson's the man there. So Shabbat's got nothing going
- 3:59on. Hannafin He's day-to-day, but
- 4:01even when he's healthy, Brock Faber amazing real life
- 4:04defensemen, terrible fantasy defensemen.
- 4:06Sane Perec getting scratched half the games.
- 4:08Rasmus Andersson unless you really want the blocks.
- 4:11Country Miller. I think that's a big trap.
- 4:13People are falling and start the season.
- 4:14He had one good game. He's a he's not a fantasy
- 4:17relevant guy. Mike Matheson.
- 4:19Now he's #3 defenseman on the Habs not getting either power
- 4:21play Tony D'Angelo. I think it's only a matter of
- 4:24time before Schaefer takes power.
- 4:26Play one from him and Dreamy Drysdale.
- 4:27He's the exact same type of player as Klingberg, except I
- 4:30think San Jose has a better power play than Philly.
- 4:33Yeah, I think all these. Other rapid fire.
- 4:35No doubt that was honestly amazing.
- 4:37I feel like all these guys are are too high roster than they
- 4:40should be. That's not to say that these
- 4:42guys can have like the odd week where they provide value for
- 4:44your fantasy team. Like let's you want to stream A4
- 4:46game week for specific categories, but in concept, like
- 4:49you want guys that are exposed to the elite players on your
- 4:51roster. Clean work is one of those guys
- 4:53that even though he doesn't have the category coverage, he's
- 4:55exposed to the top power play on that roster, playing with guys
- 4:57like celebrity Oakland to Foley. So you want you'd rather get the
- 5:01power play points from him than the middle ink coverage going to
- 5:05get from all these other guys that don't have that deployment
- 5:07on the power play? Yeah, I can't wait for Fowler to
- 5:11prove you all wrong. He could be there, Klingberg.
- 5:15He's just. Climbing already coming back.
- 5:17So no Klingberg to me, even though I agree with a lot of
- 5:21these. Like I, I'm, I'm totally on the
- 5:24side of Fowler over over Klingberg, but I get the.
- 5:27OK but Gigi is neither of them gets any back hats right?
- 5:32Fowler is on a power play where it's a split power play, whereas
- 5:36Cling Briggs on a power play where there's only one power
- 5:38play unit and Fowler is more at risk of losing his properly once
- 5:43brought to folk and Klingberg has no one in competition for
- 5:46him. So why are you going Fowler over
- 5:47Klingberg? Because Klingberg's Klingberg
- 5:50has played a total of 43 games in the last three years combined
- 5:58on three different teams. So, yeah, I mean, I, I like the
- 6:02name Klingberg. And I think where a lot of your
- 6:04names were really good, it Davantes, buried, Thomas Abbott.
- 6:09You know, these are all guys that I don't think I have any
- 6:12real chance to make the first power play.
- 6:15And I don't really know what's up with D'Angelo, but Shavers
- 6:18looking really good, actually. So I'm with you there.
- 6:20But Fowler himself, like we're reacting way too quickly to a
- 6:25Saint Louis team that's underperforming so high.
- 6:27I would not draw Klingberg. OK, so that was Jake's take,
- 6:30just following his fantasy team but no rest the rest.
- 6:33Last year, he got 10 points in seven games in the playoffs.
- 6:37Yeah, but the power was out of this whole list.
- 6:39You know, this whole list, I'll tell you Fowler's like the one
- 6:42I'd least likely drop for Klingberg, and that's the
- 6:44closest, so I'll give you that. That I'll leave to the to the
- 6:48listener to decide. But any of these other players
- 6:50on the list is a no brainer. And I still prefer climbing to
- 6:53Fowler, but that one, I'll say it's close.
- 6:56Yeah, alright. Yeah, he's no, he's, he's
- 7:00anyway, whatever. Yeah.
- 7:01Go go. OK dingus boy on Reddit Last,
- 7:07how many streamer spots do you guys keep on your team?
- 7:09Just one. I think honestly this depends on
- 7:13you know how deep your leak is. Like in in our league, it's
- 7:17you're we're starting, what is it like 20 guys or or 18 guys on
- 7:22a on a weekly basis, 16 skaters maybe and 14 teams deep.
- 7:28I think early we usually have like 2-1 to two streaming spots.
- 7:33I think in most leagues, even the shallow ones, you should
- 7:34keep one streaming spot because yeah, you can fill up that last
- 7:37spot with a quality guy, but it's never going to be quality
- 7:40enough that you can't outweigh that production by just
- 7:43maximizing games played with what's good on the waiver wire.
- 7:46So I would say at least one, if you're in a really deep league,
- 7:49you can go up to like 2:00 to 3:00.
- 7:51I actually like, I was thinking the opposite.
- 7:53I was thinking the deeper your league, the less streamer spots
- 7:56you should have. Because I was thinking when it's
- 7:58a shallower league, there's such good guys available on free
- 8:01agency that maximizing the gameplay is so much more
- 8:04important. Whereas like in a really deep
- 8:05league, like you can have really just like a bear, like dead,
- 8:10like, like free agency. So I think it's good direction.
- 8:14I think it's like a parabola. So like the shallower league is
- 8:18the least streaming spots you have and then you're as your
- 8:20league gets deeper goes up and then it really gets too deep, it
- 8:23goes back to being less yeah spots.
- 8:26I could see that. Then there's also like other
- 8:29factors that are important as in how many bench spots you have,
- 8:31how many players of each position start each week, right?
- 8:34Because if you know certain formats in certain ways of
- 8:38setting it up, the streaming spot won't even get you that
- 8:40many more games per week. And then at that point, there's
- 8:43no point in really having extra ones more than one.
- 8:45And another big, big thing is if your league has a Max moves, Max
- 8:50moves per week, Max moves per year, there's a certain point
- 8:53where too many streaming spots just doesn't make sense because
- 8:55you can't even maximize it if you don't have enough moves to
- 8:58do so. I tend to lean towards it's
- 9:01always one to two. I'm never gonna have, I never
- 9:03wanna have zero and I don't really ever want to have more
- 9:05than two. But our league has three Max ads
- 9:08per week. So that definitely adds to it.
- 9:10So I'm always looking at 1:00 to 2:00.
- 9:11And in our type of league, I lean towards one.
- 9:14But again, it also depends on how well you drafted, right.
- 9:17If you if you hit on all your late round dart throws, there's
- 9:19just might not be guys you want to drop right.
- 9:22But we have. Was gonna say it also depends on
- 9:25like I feel even within the streaming spots on your raw, so
- 9:28you have like certain archetypes of streaming spots.
- 9:32Like you can have one spot where you're consistently streaming
- 9:35Bangor category production from a defenseman.
- 9:37Like your forwards are kind of set, but you can have that
- 9:40rotating spot for defenseman where you plug it in and plug
- 9:42them in every week. Or you know, the same kind of
- 9:45thing for your forwards where I feel like more in the shallow
- 9:47relief playing a Yahoo default league.
- 9:49Like you need a fantasy. You're in your first banger
- 9:52league and you you joined like a public Yahoo league.
- 9:55Like there's a lot of good quality guys on the waiver wire.
- 9:58I would not like hold up my roster like set and not drop
- 10:01anybody just because it's still big names.
- 10:03So you can get production from forwards on waivers and deeper
- 10:06leak is the more the better forwards are rostered and the
- 10:09more it becomes that you're more streaming defensive production
- 10:12for the category of coverage as opposed to points.
- 10:15So. Yeah, I thought of this thought
- 10:18the same way Kevin did initially.
- 10:20And then I I kind of know what you mean Josh that the less like
- 10:23the shallower the league is more important to maximize.
- 10:26But for me, I'd say just at the beginning of the year like I
- 10:29have 3-4 guys on my roster or expendable, not even necessarily
- 10:33looking to stream right away. I'm kind of just looking for
- 10:36value in a deeply like ours, but at the end of the day, I'd say
- 10:40my like sweet spot is 3 dwindled down to 2 and then like you
- 10:45know, that extra pickup like we used to said, we have 3 pickups
- 10:47there an injury. But the important thing is
- 10:50always at least one. Yeah, yeah, especially,
- 10:53especially especially in a cat's league because point is like,
- 10:58OK, like you just want to maximize like games played,
- 11:00whatever. But in a cats league, it's so
- 11:01important to see which categories you can flip in a
- 11:03given week. If you know, going in, let's say
- 11:06you predict that you're going to be down by like 2 blocks and two
- 11:09hits. Then by streaming a specific
- 11:11hits blocks guy, you can flip 2 categories that week just there.
- 11:14And then you might not necessarily need the next week.
- 11:16It just so, so strategic to have that flexibility in a categories
- 11:20league that I think that's where it's extra, extra.
- 11:22Yeah, agreed. All right.
- 11:25Next question. Jock nerd 5 on Reddit asked is
- 11:29Zadorov for real? He's been racking up hits.
- 11:33I think, I think Fedorov is he, he's cementing himself as the
- 11:38type of guy that has the reputation to be like in the the
- 11:40classic banger guys like the. Losing.
- 11:42The true buzz, the goodies like Trump's kind of really fell off
- 11:46at this point in his career. I think Buddhist and those are
- 11:49still kind of in that category. But still, Zadorov is another
- 11:51one of those guys where he's getting you hits, Pimms blocks
- 11:56like that's kind of like the the order in which he contributes
- 11:59and he's pretty elite, although so there's not many guys that
- 12:01can get you over five hits in any single game.
- 12:04He's one of them, so. Yeah, I don't, I wouldn't say
- 12:06don't expect him to keep up an almost six hits per game
- 12:09average. There's very, very few players
- 12:12who do that. But I could easily see him doing
- 12:14like three hits, two blocks, 1.5 Pimms over the season.
- 12:16And that's like, that's a goodest level type of
- 12:19production, which is a guy you love in bangers leagues.
- 12:21And we're starting 4 defensemen and he's one of them Like, and
- 12:23you're getting more offensive production.
- 12:25Like you have people want quarterbacks as your other
- 12:28defensive guys on your roster. Like that's a great a great way
- 12:32to sell, solidify your defensive core.
- 12:34And Boston has a 444 weeks, 21 to 23.
- 12:37So yeah, great. It's awesome to have that for
- 12:39for mangers guys. He could he could win you that
- 12:42those banger categories exclusively on his own in the
- 12:44come playoff time. So you definitely want to keep
- 12:46it on your on your team. Yeah.
- 12:49Yeah, I mean, he hasn't really done it yet, guys, but that's
- 12:52the honest truth. He's he's 30 years old and he
- 12:56hasn't really been an elite hitter in his entire career.
- 12:58So I think there's a reason for skepticism.
- 13:00But you're not losing anything by keeping this around and
- 13:03riding the wave. So I definitely don't drop him
- 13:05when I say he's for real. Like, not yet.
- 13:08Frankly, we're still way too early.
- 13:10And it's not like this is a 25 year old guy coming out of
- 13:12nowhere. I think it's for real fast,
- 13:14Yeah. I was gonna say he's been good
- 13:15in the past and we saw him like good, Yeah, close to this level
- 13:18with Boston last year. What did you predict?
- 13:20No like for the hits. Way offline.
- 13:24I mean, he's not gonna. I said he said he could be two
- 13:26to three hits. He's yeah, that's that's
- 13:28reasonable. Two to three hits with the Pimms
- 13:30for sure. But like 3 plus hits?
- 13:31No I wouldn't. Put them.
- 13:32No, no, for sure, yeah. Yeah, Pimm's great.
- 13:35The hits are good and the blocks, I think even if it gets
- 13:39three hits and 1.5 plus Pimms, that's awesome.
- 13:43I just, yeah, I mean, pick him up, ride the wave and like, you
- 13:47know, you could keep him around cause you could do worse.
- 13:49He's very dynamic. I just, yeah, this pace is going
- 13:52to slow down a lot. Yeah.
- 13:55And maybe you could even flip him.
- 13:58You know that looks really. Good the other type of guy that
- 14:00holds a lot of value in a trade unless you're a team like is
- 14:03really looking for those like pure banger guys but.
- 14:07Yeah, he can convince someone he's gonna maintain that 6 plus
- 14:10hits per game and I don't think much value in shape, but maybe
- 14:13someone will believe in it. If he does it for like one or
- 14:15two more games you might be able to pull that off.
- 14:18Yeah. Alright, Guild City USA on
- 14:22Reddit asked in a league with goals, assists, shots, probably
- 14:26points, face off, win, hits, blocks.
- 14:27Rank these guys in terms of best long term hold for specifically
- 14:31faceoff wins plus bangers, but also in general, but
- 14:33specifically those ones. So we've got Brayden Schenn,
- 14:36Mikael Granlund and Barrett Hayton.
- 14:39This is an easy one for me. I think if you're in with all
- 14:42those categories that you mentioned, face off wins, hits
- 14:44and blocks especially. I think it's Britain.
- 14:46She's the most valuable guy. Dan Grantland and Hayden.
- 14:49Hayden has like almost 0 legal coverage.
- 14:51He may have like the the biggest potential upside for points with
- 14:55the deployment that he has, but Shannon?
- 14:57Shannon has elite category coverage for Centre.
- 14:59Even though he's points upside, his cap and ground is kind of
- 15:02just like a mix of both but prefer him overheating.
- 15:05Yeah. I don't agree.
- 15:06I don't like when people don't have a secret category for
- 15:08points. It makes it less fun cause that
- 15:11like in that conversation, I would have Grandland versus
- 15:14Shen. Like that could be a reasonable
- 15:15to me. But in this format where it's
- 15:17like a goal is just a goal and this is an assist and it doesn't
- 15:20also contribute to points, then yes, this is a no brainer shed
- 15:23and Grantland Hayden for sure. Yeah.
- 15:27Like I played in leagues like this, like it's it's kind of
- 15:29cool. It's got its dynamic, but it's
- 15:30way more bangers heavy and I find them you add like a little
- 15:33premium for points. It's nice so.
- 15:36Yeah, at the end of the day, I feel like points is the most
- 15:38important. Like adding bangers is super fun
- 15:40because it makes it so it's not just A1 dimensional, but one
- 15:43should have that extra weight. Exactly.
- 15:45And that's what this is. It's like this one-dimensional
- 15:47change and is easily, easily the most valuable guy.
- 15:51Yeah, fully agree. All right, Aisles Guy 1983 on
- 15:55Reddit asked in a Bangor Cats league, is it worth dropping Sam
- 15:59Bennett or Marco Rossi for Frank Nazar or should I just hold?
- 16:03So I'm going to start this off by saying never all caps, never
- 16:07ever, ever for any reason to anyone or for anything for any
- 16:11reason ever, no matter where you are or who you are with never
- 16:14drop Sam Bennett in a Bangor Cats league, especially with
- 16:18Barkov out for the season. So let's get that out of the way
- 16:21right away. The real question here is Rossi
- 16:22versus is it Nazar Nazar? I don't know, but I don't.
- 16:26Know his reference, Josh. Yes, it was, yeah.
- 16:31So the real question here is Rossi versus Nisar.
- 16:35Honestly, I think it would be OK.
- 16:37I know Rossi started off super hot.
- 16:39I know he has two power play points already, but I don't
- 16:41believe in that power plants at all.
- 16:43He's power play 2, non power play 1.
- 16:44The fact that these are has that power play on deployment over
- 16:47Rossi is enough for me to take a shot at and he's our over Rossi,
- 16:49but it's I think it's close. This is an easy Nazar for me.
- 16:52I think he's playing with better better linemates than where Ross
- 16:55is if Ross is not playing. With Rossi, even strength is
- 16:58playing with body and Kaprizov. Last time I checked it was Eric
- 17:01Connect there so. OK, so my.
- 17:03At the time of this recording, check, check, check your the
- 17:06most recent line updates. But even then, I just feel like
- 17:09Nasar is cemented in that deployment that he has and I
- 17:12really like what we've seen from this far.
- 17:14I feel like the hype can get a little carried away with Nazr.
- 17:16Everybody's kind of like get them now while you can type of
- 17:18thing and I think you will be good, But I don't think he's
- 17:21going to be played on breaks fantasy for you.
- 17:23But I really like his season season long value whereas Ross.
- 17:26Yeah. He'll be where you don't want on
- 17:28your roster. Yeah, yeah.
- 17:30So I would I would also go Nisar for Rossi.
- 17:32Rossi still a young player, but for sure to me, I would take
- 17:36Nazar because he's like really, really unknown and performing
- 17:40very well. He's going to be a huge part of
- 17:42this Blackhawks team. He's not gonna lose that power
- 17:44play 1. They're just trying to get their
- 17:45young guys to perform better and he's clearly a part of their
- 17:48future. So I really, really like Nazar
- 17:51over Rossi. But like you said, I don't know.
- 17:55I don't know why. Bennett also in the
- 17:57conversation. Must have a pretty stacked.
- 18:00Process yeah, but but yeah, for me really the Nazar power the
- 18:05PowerPoint 1 is what makes the difference If Rossi was power
- 18:06play one I'd take him over Nazar, but since he's.
- 18:09Not doesn't stick with him, you know.
- 18:11Yeah, exactly. So with news.
- 18:13Or it will. Yeah, Limestone Kitten on Reddit
- 18:18ask are there any really low roster demon you see moving up
- 18:21and playing big minutes as things shift in the coming
- 18:24weeks? Klingberg is already taken.
- 18:26So I've got a couple a couple ideas here for possibilities of
- 18:31low rostered guys who might have a shot at it.
- 18:34Kevin's not going to like this, but I think if Toronto keeps
- 18:36sucking on the power play, I could see OEL taking Riley spot
- 18:39there. They're over.
- 18:41They've scored zero power play goals, power play goals in their
- 18:44last in their first four games. And we saw Riley lose the spot
- 18:47last year and OEL has had the spot at times.
- 18:51So I think that's something you keep an eye on.
- 18:53Also, as we speak, he's putting up a three-point game.
- 18:56So definitely something to keep an eye on.
- 18:58This is even more of a long shot than that, but Mason Lori on
- 19:01Boston, if their power play doesn't click, maybe he bumps
- 19:05Macavoy, but I think that's a pretty big long shot.
- 19:07And I think it's also worth monitoring what's going on in
- 19:10Saint Louis. For now it's Fowler and Falk,
- 19:13but I could see Bromberger Mayu getting a look on one of those
- 19:15power play units at some point. I think the Saint Louis guys you
- 19:18mentioned are my favorites. I also like Lol.
- 19:20I feel like he can potentially have some standalone value even
- 19:25without being on the power play. And that's a really nice upside
- 19:27that he could get. Like you mentioned.
- 19:28Like obviously I'm I'm high on Riley and I think he's having
- 19:31kind of like a resurgence year, but I would not be surprised if
- 19:34you know, the power play struggles and they all yell up
- 19:36there because he's kind of had that specialist game in his bag
- 19:40before. So I like all these names.
- 19:43There and the Saint, The Saint Louis guys are good.
- 19:47They are my youth to me more so than Broberg, even though
- 19:51Broberg did perform pretty well on the power play last year.
- 19:54They've got a lot of offensive defensemen that like, yeah, just
- 19:57as a team. I mean you don't like when I say
- 20:01this, but I mean maybe maybe love Chanel, but probably not
- 20:06and. We never know.
- 20:08Yeah, yeah, that, that's like an interesting name to just keep an
- 20:12eye on. And there's also, yeah, I mean,
- 20:17the other guys like pretty much just buried it.
- 20:18It's tough to find a low roster defenseman frankly, but.
- 20:22There's like he's asking for really low roster defenseman
- 20:25specifically. So that's why I really, I was
- 20:27looking at like under 10% exactly.
- 20:30Because I was thinking Brad Clark, frankly.
- 20:32I was looking at that, but he's 20% but and also like the Kings
- 20:35have actually had a solid power play to start.
- 20:37So I don't see them necessarily moving off the five forwards,
- 20:40but I like that one also. Even without the power play
- 20:43though, 2 points in four games is really nothing to scoff out
- 20:46for defence. I like it, actually.
- 20:48Maybe I'll. Pick he definitely, he
- 20:50definitely is one of the defensemen that's that's low
- 20:52roster that has a shot at. I mean, I'm really I'm not
- 20:55taking any of these guys. They don't play 1.
- 20:57So that for me, that's really the biggest thing.
- 20:59And I could see Clark, I could see him getting it at some point
- 21:01this season. So, but the only reason to
- 21:03include him is he's 20% rostered and I think they were targeting
- 21:07really, really low rosters. That's why I went with the ones
- 21:10I went with. Yeah.
- 21:12Alright, next question Tom G Davey on Reddit asked, is it
- 21:16risky taking guys on the same line?
- 21:18So the classic stack discussion, but in this case he said, I've
- 21:21got PLD, Protus and Wilson, but I'm tempted to draw PLD.
- 21:24So this is like not just a stack.
- 21:26This is a three person stack and of kind of mid tier guys.
- 21:29So so if you guys want to get into the stack discussion and
- 21:33what the best way to optimize it?
- 21:35I mean, this is this is almost like a roster construction
- 21:39theory question. And we've talked about this, if
- 21:42you were listening the offseason, we talked about how
- 21:44you can, I don't mind stacks because I feel like it can
- 21:48really raise the ceiling when the whole line pops off.
- 21:50You really get a lot of points for your week.
- 21:52And obviously when you know if your stack has A2 game week,
- 21:55that's trouble for your fantasy team or if you know they go
- 21:59stale, then that's also trouble. So obviously it's always better
- 22:01to stack when you have elite guys, but I don't try to avoid
- 22:05them personally. I don't like if I fall into one
- 22:08grade. I don't try to target them
- 22:09necessarily when they're middle level guys, but it doesn't scare
- 22:14me away from having a certain player on my fantasy team if I
- 22:17want him for his value individually.
- 22:21Yeah, I don't, I personally don't really believe in the
- 22:24three person stock because lines changed so frequently.
- 22:28If you're planning on doing that for the volatility and upside
- 22:31that it comes with, like it's not really reliable to stay.
- 22:35Take the Bruins for example, right, Everyone thought it was
- 22:41geeky and Pasternak. Those were going to be kind of
- 22:43like the 1-2 and then now it seems like it may be past your
- 22:46neckline home. I don't think he's necessarily
- 22:48getting bumped off, but that seems more of like the stack
- 22:51this year. Or, you know, another team would
- 22:54be Colorado. Is it McKinnon like in in
- 22:58natures? Like that's a realistic thing
- 23:00that some teams may have right now, but that line is
- 23:03specifically not gonna stay all year.
- 23:04It just doesn't happen that way. So I don't like the concept of
- 23:08having three for one. The concept, like Kevin said,
- 23:12could go real bad and then you're kind of screwed,
- 23:15especially if they're all in the same line.
- 23:16And then the next week, for instance, when they move them
- 23:19off that line and maybe even drop one of them, right, Take a
- 23:22whole thing. So I like the 1-2 stack if it's
- 23:25a real reliable 1/2, but I don't really consider the three
- 23:28involved. Yeah, I think, I think people
- 23:32often overthink the stacks. I think also it could make a
- 23:34difference again, your league settings, right?
- 23:37If you're like have to bench players a lot because of off
- 23:40nights and stuff like that. And having a lot of players on
- 23:42the same team kind of screw you over in that sense because
- 23:45they'll be playing on the same night.
- 23:46So it makes it more likely you'll have to bench players.
- 23:48But taking that out of it, I just don't really believe in
- 23:51having a stack of mid tier players at least targeting it.
- 23:53Like Kevin said, if the value is there in the draft, I'm not
- 23:56going to avoid a guy who I think is the best player available
- 23:58just because I happen to have other guys already on that team.
- 24:01But I'm not targeting and I'm not necessarily excited about
- 24:05having multiple guys on a second line of Washington, which is not
- 24:08even a team I think is gonna do particularly well this year.
- 24:11Right? At the end of the day, A-Team as
- 24:13a whole is only going to score so many goals and a line is only
- 24:17going to score, you know, let's say 30% or 40% of a team's goals
- 24:22and not necessarily everyone on the lines touching every, every
- 24:24goal. So I just think you're limiting
- 24:26your upside. I like it a lot better when it's
- 24:28high end players because they're really like amplifying you're
- 24:31upside, but when it's middle of the pack players I'm not too
- 24:34enthused by it. As time goes on throughout the
- 24:36year, it's good to pick up players that are seemingly
- 24:39forming a stack as opposed to drafting for the stack.
- 24:42That's the way I would like to kind of look at it.
- 24:44I mean, nobody knew who Protest was last year and now everyone
- 24:46knows about him. He still doesn't get nearly
- 24:48enough respect, but that's a whole other thing.
- 24:50But yeah, he's really tall. That's the word on the street,
- 24:54yeah. But that's what I think is like,
- 24:56you pick up players who are playing with good players and
- 24:58that's subject to change and all over the place.
- 25:01Would you do in his situation? Do I want to kind of give him a
- 25:03direct answer? Like he has got Protis, Wilson
- 25:05and PLD, PLD's heart first of all.
- 25:08So hopefully you can maybe IR plus him.
- 25:10Wilson is the guy you want on your offer no matter what
- 25:12product also has his own individual value.
- 25:14So I can see PLD being quote UN quote the worst guy in this
- 25:17stack. He's on PS1 though, like when
- 25:19he's healthy. So he has some innate value
- 25:21there. Well, I try to get one off my
- 25:23roster. Like if you can get a good deal
- 25:25done, even a lateral move, I would not be against it.
- 25:29Yeah, that's it. If you can get a lateral move
- 25:31done where you get rid of one of these guys, I'd be very happy to
- 25:33do that because I'm not too happy about having all three of
- 25:36them. But it's also not like a dire
- 25:38situation where you need to lose value to get rid of one of them.
- 25:40So I would say send out some feelers that you think are
- 25:43pretty even moves to get rid of. And if you get rid of one of the
- 25:45three, I'm not sure what the league settings are, if you
- 25:49count faceoff wins or whatever, obviously Wilson's the one you
- 25:51keep. No questions ask of the other
- 25:53two. I mean, like having said PLD is
- 25:55power play 11 healthy Produce probably gets more points
- 25:58overall. So I think they're both solid,
- 26:01but I would definitely try and get rid of one of them for a
- 26:03lateral move. He's looking at dropping PLD.
- 26:06I wouldn't draw PLD if it's like.
- 26:09Little League, even in the shadow league I would consider
- 26:11dropping him but if you're in the liver produces roster your
- 26:14league can be super shallow. Yeah, don't drop him just
- 26:18because you have three of these guys on the line, essentially.
- 26:21It's not a dire situation You need to get rid of and lose
- 26:23value on. If it's the right move
- 26:25regardless, or you can make a lateral move, then I like it
- 26:28because I'm not the biggest fan of having all three.
- 26:30But all that to be said, don't use up value just to try and get
- 26:34out of this situation because it's not that bad of a
- 26:35situation. Yeah, OK, CJ Volney, 12 on
- 26:40Reddit asked should I pick up Andrew Miller or John Klingberg.
- 26:44So I think I, I briefly mentioned this in one of the
- 26:46previous answers for one of the previous questions about the
- 26:49defensemen. I think Miller is such an early
- 26:51season trap. Guys literally has one good
- 26:53game. I don't want to, I don't wanna
- 26:56poo poo on potential competition, but I saw like
- 26:58other fantasy platforms be like Kendra Miller is a must add in
- 27:03fantasy. Literally had one good game.
- 27:07They were talking about like not even like in the most deeply
- 27:10either. Like they were just like, this
- 27:11guy is a must roster defenseman and I'm just like, I do not see
- 27:15it. Like yeah, he had a great game,
- 27:17but it was literally one game. You can't you?
- 27:19He'll never have a game like that the rest of the season.
- 27:21Literally now he's he's not particularly elite at back cats.
- 27:26He doesn't have power play one. He's a classic, you know, a call
- 27:29like a tweener defenseman where he'll be like a power play 2
- 27:32defenseman who doesn't really get that many back cats.
- 27:35So it's just a classic like early season on a new team.
- 27:38People see him put up ridiculous first game.
- 27:40They're like, oh, maybe this is the new country Miller on
- 27:42Carolina. No, that's not going to happen.
- 27:44I would easily take Klingberg over Miller.
- 27:46Not that I'm particularly enthused by Klingberg either,
- 27:49but he is a powerful one quarterback on an exciting
- 27:52offensive team in San Jose. So I actually think he has some
- 27:55upside, whereas Miller I just think is a fad that's gonna get
- 27:57dropped in within a week or two. Yeah, you're the fall of the
- 28:02money guy, So for you to say that, you know what I mean?
- 28:06Sometimes people get the money because they're a good defensive
- 28:08defenseman. Yeah, this.
- 28:10Is like Jacob Slavin. Exactly these those two really,
- 28:13I mean they're both on the same team.
- 28:15Perfect examples of good IRL doesn't translate for fantasy.
- 28:19This happens in fantasy sports all the time.
- 28:21Football, hockey, a lot. And this is with defensemen in
- 28:24hockey. That's the most clear example.
- 28:27I am not in any way, shape or form considering Miller must add
- 28:31Yeah, by any means. I really.
- 28:33And I think Klingberg could be fun, Especially like, it's gonna
- 28:36come in waves. Klingberg.
- 28:37Actually has outside. Yeah, I think it's way better
- 28:40than Fowler. You suck at everything.
- 28:45Keep your bad Klingberg. Better Fowler, more points by
- 28:48the end of the season. Oh, and this is an all points
- 28:54per game, by the way. This is more points.
- 28:55And this is really come on, man. OK, think about it.
- 29:02We'll revisit it in a few questions from now, but we'll
- 29:05get back. Yeah.
- 29:06Just to get on the topic of the canes in general, it's also
- 29:10compounded with the raw element of it all, you know what I mean?
- 29:13Whereas for Klingberg, his assignment is that he's kind of
- 29:17like a temporary fix on an unbecoming channels.
- 29:19A team that it's not would be super great this year, but
- 29:22they're going to need offensive output to just and that's why
- 29:25he's there. So yeah, he's gonna continuously
- 29:27be used unless there's someone else who comes along and is
- 29:29better, but I don't really see that happening.
- 29:31Miller is not getting the power play one over Nikishin or
- 29:35Gostisbehere. This would be shocked.
- 29:38So yeah, there's there's no pathway for him to be that guy.
- 29:43Yeah, OK, the Maple Leaf 6 on Reddit asked what do you think
- 29:48about Chantilly? I was very low on Chantilly
- 29:53going into this season. I was gonna say like we were all
- 29:57people were really hyped about Chantilly because they thought
- 29:59he was just going to be like the the 1C on this team and
- 30:02everybody kind of forgot about Sean Monahan.
- 30:03I don't know how people could look at last season and think
- 30:06Chantilly was gonna be the one see.
- 30:07That's what I'm saying. Like I feel like everybody has
- 30:09the too much of the upside in their head and they're
- 30:12forgetting what the realistic situation is because Monaghan
- 30:15and that top Russian line has been elite.
- 30:17Last year they were great, This year they're also great.
- 30:19Like we're seeing Marchenko and even Voronkov start off the
- 30:23season super hot and it's because Monahan is centering
- 30:26line. I think he definitely has upside
- 30:28in case there's an injury, but until he gets that first line
- 30:31deployment, his ceiling is absolutely capped.
- 30:34Yeah, honestly, like I'm not surprised at all about the not
- 30:38line 1 deployment. There's no way he was gonna bump
- 30:40Monahan. I'm a little surprised they're
- 30:41going with Jenner over Fantilli on power play one, but the fact
- 30:45is that they are. And as long as that's the case,
- 30:48what is mentally doing for you? He's lying to power play 2 on.
- 30:51I know Columbus is a fun team and they're going to, you know,
- 30:54maybe outdo expectations a bit, but it's still not like they're
- 30:57top ten team. Right?
- 30:58So line 2 power play 2 on a not 1010 team.
- 31:01Why are you grabbing him? Obviously he has the talent, he
- 31:04has the draft degree and he will break out in, you know, the next
- 31:08couple of years. He's gonna break out and be an
- 31:10elite player and I think he's gonna be great fantasy asset.
- 31:12I just don't think it's the year yet, as long as Monahan's there
- 31:14to kind of cap his ceiling. Yeah, I totally agree.
- 31:19He's roster able in a deep league.
- 31:20So if like the general idea is like what I think of him, it's
- 31:23not like he should be sitting on your waivers and you know, 200
- 31:27to 20 plus man league. You know what I mean?
- 31:30If there's a there, there is the upside.
- 31:33But Monahan's a really good player, super duper underrated
- 31:37and he fits well and really like this team.
- 31:40Runs through Marchenko's offensive output and Warenski,
- 31:43of course, but that's kind of like where they get the value
- 31:47and I don't see why they're going to screw with that line if
- 31:49it's so good already. So totally on the same page as
- 31:53you guys. Alright G0, Leafs G0 on discord
- 31:59last. Sorry, I refuse to say the
- 32:00actual Yeah actually. As a husband, we refuse.
- 32:06Yeah, exactly. Nice try, but not gonna get one
- 32:11by me that easily anyways, he asked, is Elias Pettersson
- 32:14cooked or her? Goodbye Low.
- 32:17I think he's somewhere in the middle because listen, I think
- 32:20we've seen, I think we've seen the highest of highs behind him,
- 32:23Patterson. Was out dude.
- 32:24He's not like, completely cooked.
- 32:25Yeah, yeah, he's, he's. Only yeah.
- 32:27He's, I don't think he hits 90 or 100 points.
- 32:30I don't know if that's in his back anymore.
- 32:31While Vancouver is no start for talent around him, it's
- 32:35basically just him and Quinn Hughes being like the elite guys
- 32:38on this roster. But I don't think he's like the
- 32:40guy that falls to like the 5060 point range.
- 32:42I think he's a guy that hovers between 70 to 80.
- 32:45He has he has great blocks and heads for a centre eligible guy.
- 32:50He's centre left wing. So if you're playing a face off
- 32:52win league, he's like a cheat code and leagues like that
- 32:54because there's not many guys that are eligible like get close
- 32:57to 10 face off wins the game. His shots have always been mid
- 33:01and his points, I think that's, like I said, between 70 to 80
- 33:06points in the season and I think is what you can expect.
- 33:09But I think there's better days ahead than what you're seeing
- 33:11right now. For sure.
- 33:12And that's far from cooked right where I think that.
- 33:16But he was like a second round pick last year with you thought
- 33:19you could. Get like, I hope people lost.
- 33:21The people learned their lesson after last year and got him
- 33:24fourth, fifth round this year. Yeah, I would just sell them to
- 33:28the Vancouver owner frankly. Like if if you have.
- 33:31What does no Vancouver owner in your team?
- 33:34If there's no big. There.
- 33:36Everywhere. He means like a Vancouver fan.
- 33:40You're awesome. Not like the actual owner of the
- 33:42Vancouver Canucks. Like that guy?
- 33:43Probably not in. Your family that loves Vancouver
- 33:46because like he was drafted 4th in our league.
- 33:49Deep Bangor. Court round.
- 33:52Yeah. Yeah.
- 33:54Thank you. Fourth round by the owner of the
- 33:58Vancouver Canucks. Anyway, Gigi's so good at words
- 34:03today. Yeah, exactly.
- 34:05So anyways, all this to say, I don't believe he's cooked by any
- 34:10means, and 70 to 80 points with the peripheral categories is
- 34:14quite good. It's just that the days of him
- 34:18being elite are not there this year because they're just not
- 34:21going to be as good. So that's simply what it is.
- 34:25I mean, you, you can't. There's few players that are
- 34:27gonna be super, super elite on a not good team.
- 34:31Pasternak's the one that comes to mind last year.
- 34:34He's just not in that category. And you're still happy with 70
- 34:37to 80 points. He's rostered everywhere, but
- 34:39he's not. He's not what he was, at least.
- 34:42This year, and I will say like, not that it's necessarily
- 34:44comparable because one of them is way better than the other,
- 34:46but it's not like Quinn Hughes has started off the season crazy
- 34:49hot either, right? And nobody's even remotely
- 34:52worried about him. So obviously it's not the same
- 34:54thing because Peterson has a lot of reasons why people would be
- 34:56worried about him. But assuming you got him in a
- 34:59reasonable place in your draft, I would not be panicking.
- 35:01And if someone else has him and you think they're they're
- 35:04freaking out and think it's a repeat of last year, then I
- 35:06would definitely try and buy low on him.
- 35:09Agreed. Exactly.
- 35:10OK, Jodari on discord asked what are your thoughts on hurdles,
- 35:14deployment and power play on outlook?
- 35:16It's only been a week, but the stats are underwhelming.
- 35:19I am not worried about Hurdle. I'm actually trying to buy low
- 35:22on Hurdle. Yeah, I think, yeah, I think if
- 35:26he, if he keeps that people like spot, obviously his value has
- 35:30always a certain threshold of like eliteness to it because
- 35:34he's one of the best power plays.
- 35:35If you look at the, if you look at this game, you had a great
- 35:37first game. In the few games after that,
- 35:39we're not the best, but I think he's still the second best
- 35:43centre on this team and I think it's just about finding the
- 35:46perfect linemates for him as of this recording.
- 35:49Like he might be playing with Marner tonight.
- 35:51So I think the buy low window for him might be closed after
- 35:54you hear this episode if he if he plays on Marner and he
- 35:57thrives. So we'll see how that goes.
- 35:59But I'm not too worried about her at all.
- 36:01I think you'll lack the consistency of maybe what he's
- 36:05had in the past, but I still think he's a valuable asset for
- 36:08your fantasy team. Yeah, he's always a great
- 36:11bangers guy, specifically in face off when leaks cause he's
- 36:14got that, that winger eligibility for the face off
- 36:16wins. He hits, he shoots, and I don't
- 36:18think they're messing with them. Would they mess with their play
- 36:20on right now? And it's firing on all
- 36:22cylinders. I will say it doesn't seem like
- 36:24hurdles the main piece on that power play, right?
- 36:27It seems like it's very much a goal to Marner, to Stone and
- 36:31then just get it, get it to Dora Phev snipes it.
- 36:34So it seems like hurdles, definitely.
- 36:37I think the fifth guy on the totem pill in terms of touches
- 36:40on the power play. But when you have a power play
- 36:42that good, he's gonna touch the puck and it's gonna go in.
- 36:46So I'm definitely not worried about him at all.
- 36:47I love the Bylo. It's a great buy low and just
- 36:51look, we're a few games into the season.
- 36:53This is an addition of a superstar and Mitch Marner to
- 36:57the Vegas Golden Knights. They're still figuring things
- 36:59out. So it's not going to be where
- 37:01it's going to be in a few months.
- 37:03And I think that hurdle should be there all season.
- 37:08And he's really good. So it's a good buy low window
- 37:11really. Alright, Jordan on Discord asked
- 37:15another question. Do you think Beckett Seneca is
- 37:18here to stay? Yes, he is.
- 37:23Yeah. He is absolutely here to stay.
- 37:30I will say to to to to just, you know, tamper your expectations a
- 37:34bit with Jake's hype because he has been really unreal to start
- 37:37the season and and a really fun pickup for Jakey.
- 37:40The ducks GM did say they'll be giving him the same treatment as
- 37:42Leo Carlson's first season and that means they probably won't
- 37:45play on back-to-back games. So that is a bit annoying in
- 37:48terms of a long term hold. But if he keeps performing at
- 37:51the level he's performing, then you're like, you know, it's
- 37:54fine. Take the day off.
- 37:55Another thing to note is that Strome has been injured, so
- 37:59we'll see how Seneca's appointment is affected when he
- 38:01returns. But overall, he's a high upside
- 38:03pickup because of his talent and how he started the year.
- 38:05But don't be surprised if he gets scratched here and there on
- 38:07back to backs. Think the biggest thing with him
- 38:09that's surprised me is his category coverage.
- 38:11Like, yeah, definitely peaked your interest off the bat when
- 38:14there's a guy that's shooting over 3A game and also hitting
- 38:17around two or three a game and scoring.
- 38:20Yeah. And so listen, that might be
- 38:22another banger kind of power forward to keep our eyes on.
- 38:26The thing is like, he looks like he's 15 years old.
- 38:28So it's just I can't imagine he keeps up these these like three
- 38:31hit games, but he's playing like 1719 minutes a night.
- 38:35I don't know if that holds like I don't know if you wanna go on
- 38:38your Roth, if that's going to be scratch every other game.
- 38:40It's tough to to kind of like rationalize that maybe you keep
- 38:44him until. Someone comes back if it was me
- 38:48or Jake or both of us who were on and off holding Leo Carlson
- 38:51that year where he was getting scratched on back to backs.
- 38:54But it was, it was so frustrating, honestly.
- 38:56Like it was, it was really annoying.
- 38:58You never knew if he was gonna get scratched game or not.
- 39:00But The thing is, when he would, he would put up great numbers,
- 39:02not even. And Seneca putting better
- 39:04numbers than Carlson did that year.
- 39:05So yeah, it's it's definitely tough, but it's hard to hold
- 39:08someone who might get scratched. We haven't seen it happen yet,
- 39:10right? Like the GM said that, but he
- 39:12didn't specifically say we're gonna scratch him one
- 39:14back-to-back. So he just said we're gonna give
- 39:16him the same treatment as Carlson is first year.
- 39:18That's kind of the extrapolation from that.
- 39:21So hold them for now and enjoy the games.
- 39:24And then if he gets scratched then then reassess if the value
- 39:28for when he plays is strong enough.
- 39:29To hold he's a rookie that we don't really know what is true
- 39:32value is going to be in fantasy. So we don't know if like this is
- 39:35his archetype where he's going to be shooting and hitting a lot
- 39:37or if it's gonna be end up being more one-dimensional or, or.
- 39:41Something the sample size is tiny.
- 39:43But two games that's been great. I think if you're in a deep
- 39:46league and you made the pick up, like you can be excited about
- 39:48it, but I wouldn't get ahead of myself.
- 39:50Let me tell you about my boy Beckett.
- 39:52OK. Oh God.
- 39:55You know, I I will say one thing like on a serious note, that
- 39:59sick about this is that he was so shocked when he got drafted
- 40:02third. Overall that the classic meme I
- 40:04love. It yeah, his face.
- 40:05Yeah, the what? The duck meme.
- 40:07Yeah, exactly. And, and I, I think that if you
- 40:12look at his deployment or rather his performance last year in the
- 40:17OHL, what was it like? He killed it.
- 40:20He was coming out and just like had an amazing start and he
- 40:24looked super good. He also has an NHL frame.
- 40:26He's a big, big guy and. That's all. 4.
- 40:32Classes he taught in the kitchen.
- 40:36Yeah, same height. Jackie, do you have anyone on
- 40:38your team that's like under 6/2 over this?
- 40:41Yeah. I'm like, literally the Lord
- 40:44Farquaad of fantasy. Yeah, no, but, but all kidding
- 40:51aside, the fact that that when Carlson came to the Ducks, they
- 40:56were in like a bad spot. And if he's there really helping
- 40:59them win, I don't think there's scratching him.
- 41:02You know, same treatment can mean a lot of things.
- 41:05Carlson was great loss here and they still scratched him so.
- 41:08Yeah, but the Ducks weren't great.
- 41:09The Ducks can have an opportunity to be a playoff
- 41:11team. I know you shows aren't as high
- 41:13on them as me but. Definitely have the opportunity.
- 41:15Yeah, I mean, at this point, like teams, this is not a
- 41:19rebuild and hoping for a top three overall pick anymore.
- 41:22Team like Chicago is in a wayward spot than they are.
- 41:25So are the Sharks. This team I really think can
- 41:29make a push and if he's playing the way he's playing, it's not
- 41:32sustainable. It's going to slow down.
- 41:34But he could have like swings like this and definitely would
- 41:39Rona roster him for now. So here to stay question mark.
- 41:43I would say yes. Now the rookie contract, it's 10
- 41:47games, right? So if he makes it past the 10
- 41:49games and he sticks around, that's the idea.
- 41:52So yeah, I mean, they they can't send them down if he's doing
- 41:56this. Yeah, in that sense I do agree.
- 41:58It's for me, it's more just that scratching on back to backs that
- 42:00I'm keeping an eye on. But I'd be very shocked if they
- 42:03send him down before the nine games is up.
- 42:05Yeah, exactly. All right, Camino on Discord
- 42:10asked rank the following did Dmitri Orlov, John Klingberg,
- 42:13Country Miller and Justin Faulk. All right, so last Kendra
- 42:18Miller. Yeah, top.
- 42:20I think I would go Justin Folk and then I'd have Klingberg and
- 42:24or love. That's kind of how I would rank
- 42:27them. Klingberg has the explorer that
- 42:28people once. I prefer them over Orlov.
- 42:30Orlov is just like that, like notorious, but like, he's just a
- 42:34guy who's dream for banger categories on a weekly basis
- 42:37depending on the schedule. We had that one like end of
- 42:41season when he got traded to Boston like 2 years ago where he
- 42:44was just a beast. They put him on power play.
- 42:45One always has that in the back of their mind.
- 42:47Like he can do it if they give him the chance.
- 42:49But now I fully agree. Falkenberg, Orloff, Miller.
- 42:52Folks you exposed to like the best power play.
- 42:54I would say on this because he's being exposed to either don't
- 42:57want air to 1B of Saint Louis and yeah you want.
- 43:00To test dollar spot, he thinks Fowler spot for good then he
- 43:05definitely has the highest upside.
- 43:08I'm going to leave Fowler out of this.
- 43:10I would still maybe put Klingberg over over Faulk.
- 43:16Cause if you want Klingberg over fault, you have to put Klingberg
- 43:19over Fowler. No, Fowler, No.
- 43:22Anyways, I'm. Holocaust category coverage and
- 43:25the same power deployment as Fowler.
- 43:27Yeah. OK, that you have.
- 43:31Cannot talk about compiler again.
- 43:33Yeah. She wasn't going to.
- 43:36You have my you, you have Broberg and these are guys that
- 43:39I think are just as likely to play on some sort of the power
- 43:41play as some of the power play on Saint Louis as Walk.
- 43:46I think it's Fowler has the best chance and then the other ones
- 43:50have equally as good of a chance.
- 43:52Folk is not necessarily a staple there.
- 43:54He's been in the doghouse with a coach many times, whereas
- 43:57Klingberg, like we spoke about, is just there to bring out the
- 44:00offensive prowess of the young guys on the Sharks.
- 44:03So that's why I would put him over folk.
- 44:05I mean I think clearly the top 2 is Folk Klingberg like by a tear
- 44:08break, even though it tears in such low roster guys.
- 44:11But anyways, yeah, Falcon Keeper are the clear one too.
- 44:14And then I think you can go either way.
- 44:16I think Kevin and Eileen Falk, Jelene Klingberg, but I think
- 44:19either one could be good. Yeah, for sure.
- 44:22OK Perry on Discord asked is Seth Jones worth holding on to
- 44:25or am I better off streaming? OK big.
- 44:29Obviously the biggest F is how shallow is your league right?
- 44:32Shout out zooming. It's I I remember helping Perry
- 44:35with his entire draft in the discord.
- 44:38Right before it. Started it's his first season
- 44:40doing a fantasy hockey. He's a big football guy.
- 44:43And I know for his league it was it was pretty shallow.
- 44:46It was like 6-4 words, 4D and 1 goalie and he kind of punted.
- 44:51Not punted, but like Seth Jones is I think the worst of his
- 44:54defensemen. Yeah.
- 44:57But I still think that the payment is there and like you
- 44:59gotta he's. Still, yeah, he's definitely
- 45:01been underwhelming. I won't, I won't disagree with
- 45:04that. I mean, I have Seth Jones in our
- 45:06league, so so I definitely feel that two points in four games,
- 45:08which isn't actually awful, but that's nothing it's right home
- 45:11about. And then the back cats have just
- 45:13been nonexistent. And that's kind.
- 45:15Of what's so exciting about when you draft a guy like you're
- 45:18like, I'm getting the points upside with the back hats
- 45:19guaranteed. So honestly, I'm kind of in a
- 45:22pig hole with I've got Jones and Slider on my team.
- 45:24Both guys were supposed to be back cats, beasts, and they both
- 45:27kind of have sucked. But it's it's way, way, way too
- 45:29early to be dropping a guy of this of this potential.
- 45:33Again, I don't know what defensemen are available in your
- 45:36specific league. I know it's a show on the
- 45:38shallower side. I still think, I still think you
- 45:41gotta hold Jones for for a bit longer and see what he can do.
- 45:44Yeah, I will say like knowing your league, Perry, like you
- 45:46still gotta hold. You still got a whole Seth Jones
- 45:49for the moment. But in a league of your size, I
- 45:52would not be surprised if eventually there's a guy that
- 45:54pops up that is worth more holding more so we could talk
- 45:59about it after. Alright, last question.
- 46:04Yeah, it's not gonna stay too, too defence when all year I
- 46:07don't believe, I don't. Think if there's only one
- 46:10depends, it's gonna be Seth Jones.
- 46:12That's it. And once that happens, I just
- 46:14think it makes them better. Yeah, like when Chuck gets back,
- 46:16let's say. Yeah, or even before that.
- 46:20I mean, Thomas cabbage is. Gonna say when he wants Mackie
- 46:23bum sack flat off. And if it is Jones, look,
- 46:26they're winning games guys like it's there are three and one at
- 46:29the time of this recording. It's very solid.
- 46:32But at the end of the day, I mean this, I don't believe that
- 46:36this is the best way that they can optimize their power play.
- 46:39So yeah, OK, last question for this, for this long mail bag,
- 46:44Camino on Discord asked what's your podcast set up?
- 46:47Are you all virtual or do you have all podcast in the same
- 46:50room? Wouldn't you like to know,
- 46:52Camino? Also, what is your address and
- 46:54Social Security number? With that, alright everybody,
- 46:58Yeah. I like this question.
- 47:00It's nice. It's nice.
- 47:03Some interest in us Yeah, I could take this one since I, I
- 47:08broke up the band. But yeah, last year we were all
- 47:12in person, all living in Montreal and had a nice routine
- 47:15going. We'd ordered dinner, but you
- 47:16know, do all our recordings. Was a great time.
- 47:19This year I moved to the States with my wife and baby, and so we
- 47:25are now virtual, but I'm still visiting Montreal every couple
- 47:28of months and we've already visited a few weeks ago.
- 47:31And so every time I'm in town we're doing all in person.
- 47:34And those are definitely, I think, more fun to do in person.
- 47:38But it's always fun. And also like RE are set up and
- 47:42everything like that. Like obviously right now we're
- 47:44audio only, but we're going to be starting, we're gonna start
- 47:47doing video and uploading YouTube videos probably in the
- 47:52coming weeks. So you guys are all we look.
- 47:55Like the intro and outro is now going to include YouTube and
- 47:58Discord every single episode. So you guys are doing that
- 48:02Follow us there and make sure to stay subscribed or Oh my God,
- 48:06we're saying subscribe on YouTube or is it join like
- 48:09something? I don't know, I have no like
- 48:10follow subscribe. Yeah, exactly.
- 48:12All that stuff. But yeah, you too.
- 48:16We're not there. Yet it works soon, yeah.
- 48:19Yeah, that what what they said for this Josh.
- 48:25Josh basically pulled a Yoko Ono.
- 48:28Wait, no, I wouldn't be the Yoko.
- 48:30Yeah, Ohno. Yeah, exactly.
- 48:36Eva would be the Yoko if we're throwing accusations.
- 48:42Jacques. I don't know.
- 48:46It's the band is still together. And on the note of that, you
- 48:49know, we're because it's virtual, we will be recording
- 48:53multiple times a week and bringing you more current
- 48:56content, which is great. So something to note that
- 49:01content is going to be even more contemporary and better
- 49:04throughout the year. Wow, contemporary used
- 49:06ubiquitous. Another episode this guys been
- 49:08reading his thesaurus. We're talking about selling
- 49:13Elias Pettersson to the Vancouver Canucks owner in
- 49:16fantasy hockey. Yeah, he's so his, so good at
- 49:21words that sometimes and so forth.
- 49:22I'm at other. Times.
- 49:23I know words. I know the best words.
- 49:28Do you know the words to wrapping us up?
- 49:31Oh, what a segue. I love that.
- 49:37Thank you to everybody for listening to this week's mailbag
- 49:41episode. This was a really fun one.
- 49:44Thank you to all who submitted questions all over social media.
- 49:48As we mentioned on top, join the Discord community.
- 49:51We love interacting with everybody there.

- 50:04So that's very excite as I like to say around these parts.
- 50:08And yeah, Kevin, anything to add in over there?
- 50:12Not just really excited to get some guys healthy back on my
- 50:15roster. Won't be for a while.
- 50:17So I'm gonna be put my head down and be a little trooper for
- 50:20everybody this season while hold my seems.
- 50:23Such a brave little boy. Well, my team lived on the.
- 50:25IR. Barbara Bam Bam Bang your
- 50:30management fantasy hockey podcast.
- 50:32Woo woo woo.
