- 0:00Speaker 1: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey, so we'll get to Jim Baker. Remember Jim Baker?
- 0:09Speaker 2: Did you know he was still alive? He just died.
- 0:11Speaker 2: We'll get to him. Remember this Tammy Faye Baker? Who
- 0:14Speaker 2: was the woman he got caught with? Jessica Hahn? I
- 0:17Speaker 2: think that was it. Yeah, we'll get to all of this.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Coming up, we'll get to that silly Gavin Newsom and more.
- 0:23Speaker 2: We'll take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number. 800- 321-0710.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Let's go to Bill in Idaho. Bill, how are you doing?
- 0:36Speaker 1: Hey, good morning, Mark.
- 0:38Speaker 3: What do you think of this? On Amazon, it says
- 0:42Speaker 3: customers who read.
- 0:45Speaker 2: I can't really understand what you're saying, but I have
- 0:47Speaker 2: a feeling I'm not missing anything. What time is it
- 0:49Speaker 2: in Idaho? It's pretty early there, isn't it?
- 0:52Speaker 3: It's 6.30 if you go east about a mile.
- 0:56Speaker 1: 6.30!
- 0:56Speaker 2: That's fascinating because it's 9.45 here.
- 0:58Speaker 1: So.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Anyway, on Amazon.
- 1:04Speaker 1: It says customers who bought Chuck Schumer's anti-savagism in America
- 1:10Speaker 1: also bought arsenic and razor blades.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Oh, I see. That's supposed to be a joke. All right.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Thanks for calling. Yeah, so Amazon, they recommend other things.
- 1:21Speaker 2: It's always interesting. So his joke was whoever bought Chuck
- 1:25Speaker 2: Schumer's book also ordered Arsenic and razor blades. Sick joke.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Sick joke. We know what you mean. That Chuck Schumer.
- 1:34Speaker 2: He's finished. Absolutely finished. It's great watching his career just
- 1:40Speaker 2: fizzle out and die. Let's go to Margie in the
- 1:44Speaker 2: Hudson Valley. Margie, how you doing?
- 1:47Speaker 1: Hi, Mark.
- 1:48Speaker 4: This is Margie, the college professor I call every once
- 1:50Speaker 4: in a while.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Oh, I remember you. This is a very, very, very
- 1:54Speaker 2: smart woman. She's a college professor, and you told us
- 1:57Speaker 2: once that sometimes you look out there at the class
- 2:00Speaker 2: and you think, you know, 30% of these people shouldn't
- 2:03Speaker 2: be here.
- 2:05Speaker 4: No, that's incorrect. I would say 40%.
- 2:08Speaker 2: 40% shouldn't be there.
- 2:10Speaker 1: 40%.
- 2:11Speaker 4: And Bill O'Reilly made a great point a couple of
- 2:13Speaker 4: weeks ago, and you just made a comment a few
- 2:15Speaker 4: minutes ago that I want to expand on, um, you're
- 2:19Speaker 4: absolutely right. Everything you say about the teachers unions, um,
- 2:24Speaker 4: and the way they defend ridiculousness in the classroom. And
- 2:28Speaker 4: for anybody who's never heard me before, I've been teaching
- 2:31Speaker 4: in colleges for a year. The dirty little secret Mark
- 2:35Speaker 4: is that the administrators who've escaped from the front lines
- 2:40Speaker 4: are the ones who handpick these socialist teachers and the
- 2:45Speaker 4: ones who are going to pass everybody and won't say
- 2:48Speaker 4: a word. And so that's where the problem lies. I've
- 2:52Speaker 4: heard somebody else on the radio say, well, they should
- 2:55Speaker 4: hire more conservative teachers. Well, they should. We could have
- 2:59Speaker 4: a balanced curriculum, but they don't. And the reason is
- 3:04Speaker 4: because the administrators don't want to be bothered, and this
- 3:08Speaker 4: way all the kids passed. And it's really sad. And
- 3:13Speaker 4: for anybody who thinks that it doesn't affect them going
- 3:16Speaker 4: to college, well, guess what? Suppose you are a real student.
- 3:20Speaker 4: You're sitting in a classroom next to students who don't
- 3:24Speaker 4: want to be there, who are troublemakers, who are disinterested.
- 3:27Speaker 2: No, that was me.
- 3:29Speaker 4: I had an 18-year-old girl in my class once, September semester,
- 3:34Speaker 4: and I was talking to her, and she told me
- 3:36Speaker 4: she had two children already. I said, when did you
- 3:39Speaker 4: have the last one? She said, last week. So this
- 3:42Speaker 4: girl who already had two baby daddies and one child
- 3:45Speaker 4: was one week old was in my classroom. Her head
- 3:48Speaker 4: wasn't around learning. She wanted to be out of there.
- 3:52Speaker 4: So even if you go to college and you say, well,
- 3:56Speaker 4: I'm going to sit there and study, look who you're
- 3:58Speaker 4: sitting next to. That's why I completely support Lincoln Tech
- 4:03Speaker 4: and all the other trade schools because they're taught through
- 4:06Speaker 4: the apprentice method, which is really what happens in the workforce.
- 4:10Speaker 4: And everybody gets right down to business.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Yeah. All right.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Well, Margie, you're a great caller. We always love hearing
- 4:15Speaker 2: from you. Thanks for calling. You know, the other thing
- 4:19Speaker 2: is you get a college degree. Well, you're going to
- 4:23Speaker 2: need this. I got to be honest. It's been like
- 4:25Speaker 2: 40 years, and I've gotten a number of jobs. I
- 4:29Speaker 2: got a job here. I got a job at WABC.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I got a job at WNEW. I worked at the
- 4:34Speaker 2: NBC radio network, the CBS radio. You know, in all
- 4:37Speaker 2: these times where I got hired for every job. Nobody
- 4:41Speaker 2: ever once asked me if I went to college. Nobody
- 4:43Speaker 2: ever even brought it up. It never came up once.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I have a degree. I don't know where the hell
- 4:48Speaker 2: it is. I haven't seen it in years. There are
- 4:51Speaker 2: a lot of professions where you're really not going to
- 4:53Speaker 2: need that degree. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 4:55Speaker 2: how are you doing?
- 4:56Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Yes, Mike.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I always get a kick out of the newest fake outrage,
- 5:04Speaker 3: this time about the president making a joke about L.A.,
- 5:07Speaker 3: And it'll be Republicans and their experts who will be
- 5:12Speaker 3: the most outraged, but none of them have contempt for
- 5:16Speaker 3: the Chuck Lorreys of the world. who recently said he'd
- 5:19Speaker 3: like to see Trump dead, or Springsteen headlining a concert
- 5:23Speaker 3: that basically every song is about seeing Trump dead, you know,
- 5:26Speaker 3: the Foo Fighters included, or Phil Collins saying that the
- 5:31Speaker 3: president isn't eloquent and elegant enough for his taste. Here's
- 5:35Speaker 3: a guy who was in a rock band where they're,
- 5:37Speaker 3: you know what, to underage groupies and doing drugs. But
- 5:41Speaker 3: there he's outraged that the president isn't classy enough for him.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Well, let's not forget Robert De Niro, who two days ago,
- 5:46Speaker 2: it's up on my Twitter if you want to take
- 5:48Speaker 2: a look at it, went into an unbelievable tirade calling
- 5:51Speaker 2: for the death of Donald Trump. I can't play it
- 5:54Speaker 2: on the air because it's all F-words. I can't play
- 5:57Speaker 2: it on the air.
- 5:57Speaker 3: That's right.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:00Speaker 3: And again, our side, the Republicans are going to be
- 6:03Speaker 3: the most outraged. They'll be the most vociferous about Trump
- 6:06Speaker 3: shouldn't say these things. Meanwhile, they won't say anything about
- 6:08Speaker 3: De Niro, who, by the way, has daddy issues, if
- 6:10Speaker 3: you know what I mean, knowing his background. That's why
- 6:14Speaker 3: he's so outraged at a tough guy like Trump.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:18Speaker 2: He also yells in this tirade that Trump is a...
- 6:22Speaker 2: That's the P word. It refers slang for a woman's
- 6:26Speaker 2: body part.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Yes. So.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Is that kind of sexist, he's saying, if you're like
- 6:29Speaker 2: a woman, that it means you're weak? Is that what
- 6:32Speaker 2: De Niro was saying?
- 6:33Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. He thinks he's a street guy. That's what
- 6:37Speaker 3: street guys do. You're a fake tough guy in a bar,
- 6:41Speaker 3: that's what you call each other. So, you know, a derogation.
- 6:46Speaker 2: All right, Mike, thanks for calling. Let's go to Blauvelt,
- 6:50Speaker 2: also in Florida. Blauvelt, how are you doing?
- 6:53Speaker 1: Mark Simone, good morning, sir. How are you? Good. I
- 6:56Speaker 1: think this weekend you should go out with a wicker
- 6:59Speaker 1: basket and a pair of overalls and do a photo
- 7:01Speaker 1: shoot in a strawberry patch.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Yeah, these people go strawberry picking. They go apple picking. Oh,
- 7:07Speaker 2: you know what? I am going to do that. I
- 7:09Speaker 2: did that last year. I had a picture on Instagram.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I put up a picture of me apple picking. Yeah,
- 7:14Speaker 2: it was at the Whole Foods right over there in
- 7:16Speaker 2: the Columbus Circle. You go in right in the front.
- 7:19Speaker 2: They got 27 varieties of apples. Enormous selection.
- 7:22Speaker 1: And you don't have to drive too far.
- 7:24Speaker 2: No, you go over there. You know, they even give
- 7:26Speaker 2: you a basket when you come in. You get a
- 7:28Speaker 2: little basket. You walk over there. There's every kind of
- 7:31Speaker 2: apple from all over the world. You pick whatever apples
- 7:34Speaker 2: you want. You put them in the basket. They put
- 7:36Speaker 2: it in a bag for you, and you go home.
- 7:37Speaker 2: You don't have to drive eight hours out to the
- 7:39Speaker 2: end of Long Island.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 7:41Speaker 2: One more thing, sir, if you don't mind.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Instead of mailing out checks to everybody with this tariff money,
- 7:48Speaker 1: why don't we pay down the debt?
- 7:51Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we can do that, but we never pay
- 7:54Speaker 2: down the debt. The debt's always going to be there.
- 7:56Speaker 2: The debt's always going to have this debt. Anyway, thanks
- 7:59Speaker 2: for calling. Yeah, this apple picking. You got to, I
- 8:01Speaker 2: don't know. Well, it's great. You get out in the country.
- 8:05Speaker 2: You drive for four hours. Hey, I don't even have
- 8:08Speaker 2: to go to that Whole Foods. Right next door, there's
- 8:11Speaker 2: a Morton Williams. Open 24 hours. You go in there. Again,
- 8:15Speaker 2: same thing. They give you a basket. There's 50 kinds
- 8:17Speaker 2: of apples. Pick whatever you want. You know, when you
- 8:19Speaker 2: go out to that.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Orchard to pick the apples they got like wormholes in
- 8:25Speaker 2: them they're dirty they've got bugs all you know you
- 8:28Speaker 2: go into that supermarket they shine it they polish it
- 8:31Speaker 2: they put some wax it looks beautiful much better apple
- 8:34Speaker 2: picking there you don't have to drive all the way
- 8:36Speaker 2: out there same thing with strawberries just go to any
- 8:39Speaker 2: great supermarket they got all the strawberries you want there
- 8:43Speaker 2: uh anyway i'm here nine to noon every day it's
- 8:45Speaker 2: three hours every day nine a.m till noon Then at noon,
- 8:48Speaker 2: you got Buck, Saxton, and Clay Travis, two great hosts together.
- 8:51Speaker 2: You get twice as much. Then Sean Hannity at 3 o'clock,
- 8:56Speaker 2: the most listened to radio show in America. You got
- 8:59Speaker 2: Jesse Kelly, 6 o'clock every night. And you got the
- 9:02Speaker 2: very funny Jimmy Fela, who was talking about something this morning.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Remind me to get to that in the next hour.
- 9:08Speaker 2: We'll do that coming up on 710WOR.
