- 0:00Speaker 1: Charley what he praise party. I am Sherry Mackie. It
- 0:03Speaker 1: is time right now four. Today's word freedom worth protecting,
- 0:10Speaker 1: Freedom worth protecting. Galatians five and one says it is
- 0:14Speaker 1: for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then,
- 0:18Speaker 1: and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a
- 0:21Speaker 1: yoke of slavery. As our nation celebrates two hundred and
- 0:26Speaker 1: fifty years of independence, we pause to remember the tremendous
- 0:30Speaker 1: sacrifices that made our freedoms possible. Brave men and women
- 0:34Speaker 1: answered the call to defend liberty. Many gave their lives
- 0:38Speaker 1: so future generations could live in freedom. Their courage deserves
- 0:42Speaker 1: our gratitude, our honor, and our commitment to never take
- 0:46Speaker 1: those blessings for granted. But as we celebrate America's independence,
- 0:50Speaker 1: we are reminded of an even greater freedom, the freedom
- 0:54Speaker 1: that comes through Jesus Christ. Political freedom is a precious gift,
- 0:58Speaker 1: for spiritual freedom is an eternal one. A nation can
- 1:02Speaker 1: set people free from tyranny, but only Christ can set
- 1:07Speaker 1: a heart free from the bondage of sin, fear, guilt,
- 1:11Speaker 1: and shame. Only Jesus can break the chains of addiction,
- 1:14Speaker 1: restore broken lives. Heal wounded hearts and give the hope
- 1:18Speaker 1: of everlasting life. Throughout America's history, We've experienced seasons of
- 1:23Speaker 1: great triumph and seasons of great testing. Yet through every
- 1:26Speaker 1: generation God has remained faithful. His hand has guided, protected,
- 1:31Speaker 1: and blessed this nation in ways too numerous to count.
- 1:34Speaker 1: While our strength has never been found merely in our
- 1:37Speaker 1: economy or our military, our institutions, our greatest strength has
- 1:41Speaker 1: always been our willingness to humble ourselves before Almighty God.
- 1:45Speaker 1: The scripture reminds us that blessed is the nation whose
- 1:49Speaker 1: God is the Lord. As we celebrate two hundred and
- 1:52Speaker 1: fifty years, this is a wonderful opportunity to not only
- 1:56Speaker 1: wave our flags barbecue, but also to bow our hearts,
- 2:01Speaker 1: to thank God for his faithfulness, to pray for our leaders,
- 2:04Speaker 1: to pray for unity where there is division, wisdom where
- 2:07Speaker 1: there is confusion, healing where there's brokenness, and revival where
- 2:11Speaker 1: hearts have grown cold. Freedom always carries responsibility. We have
- 2:16Speaker 1: the responsibility to love our neighbors, serve our communities, defend truth,
- 2:21Speaker 1: raise the next generation with godly values, and shine the
- 2:25Speaker 1: light of Christ wherever He's placed us. Let us never
- 2:29Speaker 1: forget that the greatest legacy we can leave is not
- 2:32Speaker 1: simply a free nation, but a nation that continues to
- 2:35Speaker 1: seek the Lord. As fireworks light up the evenings, God,
- 2:39Speaker 1: let them remind us of the light of the world
- 2:43Speaker 1: who shines in the darkness. As we celebrate our country's past,
- 2:46Speaker 1: let us also believe God for an even greater future.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Let America continue to be a land where faith is
- 2:53Speaker 1: boldly proclaimed, freedom is wisely protected in God's grace is
- 2:56Speaker 1: humbly acknowledged. Heavenly Father, thank you for the blessing of
- 3:01Speaker 1: freedom and for the men and women who sacrifice as
- 3:05Speaker 1: preserved the liberties we enjoy. As we celebrate two hundred
- 3:08Speaker 1: and fifty years as a nation, we acknowledge that every
- 3:11Speaker 1: good and perfect gift comes from You. Forgive us God
- 3:14Speaker 1: for the times we relied on our own strength instead
- 3:17Speaker 1: of seeking your faith. Pour out wisdom upon our leaders,
- 3:21Speaker 1: Protect those who serve our country, Strengthen our families, awaken
- 3:24Speaker 1: our churches with fresh passion for your truth. Let revival
- 3:28Speaker 1: begin in our hearts and spread throughout our communities. Let
- 3:31Speaker 1: America continue to be a beacon of hope, compassion, justice
- 3:35Speaker 1: and faith. And most of all, thank You for the
- 3:37Speaker 1: freedom we have through Jesus Christ, of freedom that no
- 3:40Speaker 1: earthly power can ever take away. We place our nation
- 3:43Speaker 1: in your hands and declare our hope is in you
- 3:46Speaker 1: and you alone in Jesus name. That's your word for today,
- 3:49Speaker 1: Take an apply to your everyday life and you it's
- 3:52Speaker 1: continue to be encouraged and inspired this early morning praise party.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie.
