- 0:00Speaker 1: The san francisco 49ers hosting the washington commanders the line
- 0:05Speaker 1: hasn't moved minus seven and a half for the home
- 0:09Speaker 1: team the total at 52 we're going to start at
- 0:12Speaker 1: that game we've got a big show for you guys
- 0:15Speaker 1: we're going to talk nhl we're going to talk a
- 0:17Speaker 1: little bit of baseball We're going to look at some
- 0:19Speaker 1: potential NFL and college football moves. We've got our parlay
- 0:24Speaker 1: of the day. We won our NFL parlay again two
- 0:27Speaker 1: weeks in a row. And, of course, sharp bets. I'm
- 0:29Speaker 1: Lawrence Pressman. Welcome, everybody, to the best betting show ever.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Art DeCesar and Joe Ranieri with me. Art, we'll go
- 0:37Speaker 1: right to you. We'll talk Washington-San Fran first, and then
- 0:40Speaker 1: we'll get to sharp bets and what did we learn
- 0:42Speaker 1: from the NFL week. What do you like in this game, man?
- 0:47Speaker 2: Honestly, I have nothing. I'm not in play on the game.
- 0:50Speaker 3: It's one of those games where you mentioned there's no
- 0:52Speaker 3: move as far as the side goes, and I think
- 0:55Speaker 3: that has to show you when you have a big
- 0:57Speaker 3: favorite like San Francisco on Monday night that hasn't moved,
- 1:00Speaker 3: that means the majority of your parlays and your teasers
- 1:04Speaker 3: probably got knocked out on Sunday. You don't have to
- 1:07Speaker 3: move it up a little bit to protect yourself from
- 1:10Speaker 3: more San Francisco money as a bookmaker. I've seen people
- 1:15Speaker 3: that I respect... say they like both sides. So yeah,
- 1:20Speaker 3: I think I would lean Washington Prez because it's seven
- 1:24Speaker 3: and a half and there's maybe a little bit of
- 1:26Speaker 3: letdown with San Francisco after the big Seattle win, but
- 1:29Speaker 3: I wouldn't, I wouldn't love it.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I'm in the same boat, Joe. I'm passing on this
- 1:34Speaker 1: game outright. My lean is on the Washington commanders strictly
- 1:38Speaker 1: because while seven and a half, we got a hook and,
- 1:42Speaker 1: And this is the craziest year ever. Arizona just beat
- 1:45Speaker 1: the Rams. We've seen seven-point favorites go down hard every
- 1:48Speaker 1: single week. What do you like in this game?
- 1:53Speaker 5: I would only lay it if I'm playing it.
- 1:56Speaker 4: There is nothing redeeming about this defense of the commanders.
- 2:01Speaker 4: Nothing redeeming about it. And I think the 49ers will
- 2:04Speaker 4: do exactly what the 49ers do. They'll be efficient. They'll
- 2:08Speaker 4: march down the field. They'll put up enough points and
- 2:10Speaker 4: Jaden Daniels will become one dimensional. And that's the end
- 2:12Speaker 4: of the game for the commanders. I don't care what
- 2:15Speaker 4: they did last week. This is not a good defense
- 2:18Speaker 4: in any way, shape or form. So I think the
- 2:22Speaker 4: 49ers prove once again that they are heads and tails,
- 2:25Speaker 4: the best team in the NFL right now.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Joe, with that said, I mean, look, we got to
- 2:30Speaker 1: assume on this Washington team, the 49ers could put up, say, 31,
- 2:36Speaker 1: 28 minimum points. The total is 51. If San Fran
- 2:42Speaker 1: puts up 31, we need 22 out of Washington. Is
- 2:46Speaker 1: that there? Or do you think with the one-dimensional defense, offense,
- 2:50Speaker 1: and San Fran's defense, although they're mediocre— Do you think
- 2:55Speaker 1: Washington can get us to 24 points?
- 2:58Speaker 4: Yeah, I think they'll be trailing most of the game.
- 3:01Speaker 4: So it would not shock me at all if the
- 3:03Speaker 4: fourth quarter comes and all they're doing is throwing it
- 3:07Speaker 4: around the yard. Don't forget, no Dre Greenlaw in this.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Bosa's not back until next week because he was suspended
- 3:14Speaker 4: for this game. So, yeah, I mean, I'm sure they'll
- 3:17Speaker 4: be able to put up enough points, but I have
- 3:19Speaker 4: no doubt the 49ers will also put up a bunch
- 3:22Speaker 4: of points against that defense in this one.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yeah, so Art, the over in play here for you?
- 3:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I could see it. I mean, you know, Washington
- 3:32Speaker 3: has enough offense where if they're obviously trailing the whole game,
- 3:36Speaker 3: which they should be, they could, you know, give you,
- 3:39Speaker 3: especially in the second half, some late garbage points to
- 3:42Speaker 3: push you up and over.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I lean on the over in this game as well.
- 3:46Speaker 1: That's sort of the only way I would go. I
- 3:48Speaker 1: would take Washington if a gun was held to my head,
- 3:51Speaker 1: but it isn't, so I don't. If I had to
- 3:54Speaker 1: play one play, I would take the over. That's it. Art,
- 3:57Speaker 1: have you found a prop bet for us at all
- 3:58Speaker 1: in this game?
- 4:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I put one up on my free page. I've
- 4:03Speaker 3: been doing that, obviously, throughout the football season.
- 4:07Speaker 2: What did we put up?
- 4:08Speaker 3: Oh, we put up the Washington running back, White, to
- 4:11Speaker 3: go over his receiving yards. Obviously, there are other guys
- 4:15Speaker 3: with the three names, Bill, McCroskey, Merritt, whatever.
- 4:18Speaker 2: You call that guy. He's out.
- 4:20Speaker 3: So I believe it's over 10.5, 10.5, 12.5 in that range.
- 4:25Speaker 3: So very low number.
- 4:27Speaker 5: There you go.
- 4:28Speaker 1: And you've been awesome on these prop bets. Thanks for sharing. Okay,
- 4:33Speaker 1: our sharp bets today. Look, we've got four NHL games.
- 4:38Speaker 1: We just got an opener for Cleveland. Armstrong, he's playing
- 4:45Speaker 1: against Peralta. We got baseball. And, of course, the NFL
- 4:49Speaker 1: football game. What kind of bets are being laid out there?
- 4:53Speaker 3: They laid one and a half with the Avalanche. They
- 4:56Speaker 3: pushed the Mammoth up as well. The Mammoth have been
- 4:58Speaker 3: obviously one of the, you know, they were in the
- 5:01Speaker 3: playoffs last year, but one of the early surprises in
- 5:03Speaker 3: the NHL. No surprise there's money coming in. on the
- 5:07Speaker 3: Rays' at-home closeout game, the way they've performed here the
- 5:10Speaker 3: last couple of days in that series, is going to
- 5:15Speaker 3: equate to Tampa Bay money. So that's pretty much all
- 5:18Speaker 3: you're seeing so far, Press.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Yeah, and guys, we're going to look at this Tampa
- 5:22Speaker 1: Bay Rays game a little later. Joe and Art are
- 5:25Speaker 1: going to take it apart in the MLB rundown. Joe,
- 5:30Speaker 1: let's start with you, my friend. College football, NFL behind us.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Let's talk about how we did. What did we learn?
- 5:41Speaker 1: Microphone is yours.
- 5:44Speaker 4: I think what we learned in college football is going
- 5:46Speaker 4: to a 2014 playoff eliminates what you just got on Saturday.
- 5:50Speaker 4: So enjoy it while you can because those games will
- 5:53Speaker 4: mean nothing moving forward. So congrats. First time in decades
- 6:01Speaker 4: that we've had what eight of the top 10 teams
- 6:04Speaker 4: lose on the same day, not to mention all the
- 6:07Speaker 4: big game, but that will, you know, that matters now
- 6:11Speaker 4: because the regular season matters. Well, once you go to
- 6:14Speaker 4: 24 teams, not mattering anymore, cause you're going to have
- 6:18Speaker 4: three and four loss teams. They're going to be battling
- 6:21Speaker 4: for the 20th through 24th spot. So it's not really
- 6:25Speaker 4: not going to make much of a difference. So, And
- 6:28Speaker 4: thanks for participating there, Arch Manning. I think they're already
- 6:34Speaker 4: playing the other corner, but they're already giving the reps
- 6:37Speaker 4: to the other guy during practice, the backup.
- 6:39Speaker 5: So, yeah, what a fall from grace. Unreal.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Florida State decides to show up, Art, and I say,
- 6:49Speaker 1: I bet in the last two weeks they don't show up.
- 6:50Speaker 2: They got screwed in that game. They did. They got
- 6:54Speaker 2: screwed that game.
- 6:55Speaker 4: The holding penalty was laughably bad. They still would have
- 6:59Speaker 4: needed to make a two-point conversion.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Yeah, of course.
- 7:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:03Speaker 4: But they were a lot to handle, that's for sure.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Now they'll lose the rest of the games, and that'll
- 7:07Speaker 4: be the end of that.
- 7:09Speaker 1: How good is this UCLA team, Art?
- 7:13Speaker 2: They're awesome.
- 7:13Speaker 3: And listen, Joe said it. He was spot on. I
- 7:16Speaker 3: fought with numerous people in my.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Life Saturday night. When they were, oh, what a day
- 7:21Speaker 2: for college football.
- 7:21Speaker 3: I go, yeah, enjoy it while you last because you'll
- 7:24Speaker 3: never see this again because it won't matter. Because three
- 7:27Speaker 3: and four lost teams will be getting in playoff scenarios here.
- 7:31Speaker 3: I mean, UCLA is amazing. Obviously, we want to see them.
- 7:36Speaker 3: They did what they did against Oregon, but obviously the
- 7:38Speaker 3: schedule will get a little bit harder coming.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Up, I would assume. Rivalry games in college.
- 7:46Speaker 3: You mentioned Florida State. Obviously, we got to mention Auburn.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Those were both three touchdown underdogs, and we're, you know,
- 7:52Speaker 3: 1-1 outright. Florida State was right there. It's so hard
- 7:56Speaker 3: in these college games to kind of separate these, you know,
- 8:00Speaker 3: rivalry games. It just shows you sometimes it's the most
- 8:02Speaker 3: important game on the schedule to some of these things.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Guys, hit the like button, subscribe to the channel, make
- 8:10Speaker 1: sure to comment. Lots of shows still to go. So I.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I went 2-2 in college football on Saturday.
- 8:20Speaker 5: I lost.
- 8:21Speaker 1: So I had one of those weekends, guys. I had
- 8:25Speaker 1: a 5% college football total. Memphis Tulane over. We almost
- 8:30Speaker 1: got there with a miracle ending. It fell short. Then
- 8:35Speaker 1: on Saturday, I lose Indiana by half a point. Then
- 8:39Speaker 1: on Sunday, I'm on the Indianapolis Colts. Obviously, they lost outright.
- 8:44Speaker 1: But man, oh, man. Every single score was off of
- 8:49Speaker 1: a turnover. Tennessee won on a blocked punt. I had
- 8:52Speaker 1: Indianapolis as my survivor pick. I then had the Rams
- 8:57Speaker 1: as my other survivor pick, and they couldn't get it
- 9:00Speaker 1: done at all. I also had the New York Giants
- 9:03Speaker 1: as a client play. I mean, they just dominated that
- 9:08Speaker 1: game in every manner, especially in turnovers. They owned everything.
- 9:13Speaker 1: turning the ball over. It was one of the... Right now,
- 9:16Speaker 1: for me, I've just been... It's just been one bad
- 9:20Speaker 1: turnover and one bad flag since the beginning of football.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I'm hovering, and I'm waiting for my breakout, but man,
- 9:29Speaker 1: oh man, oh man, it's just been horrible, horrible turnovers
- 9:35Speaker 1: of flags for me. I mean, the flags against the
- 9:38Speaker 1: Rams have been worse than against me. They've... They might
- 9:42Speaker 1: not even make the playoffs. But I did break even
- 9:47Speaker 1: on the whole weekend or lost one unit or so.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Sorry to all my clients. It happens. We'll get right
- 9:53Speaker 1: back on it. I got an NHL play up tonight
- 9:57Speaker 1: for all of you guys. And what did I learn?
- 10:00Speaker 1: We'll get into that after. Art, how did you do
- 10:02Speaker 1: this week? 5% play winner on the Bears, right?
- 10:06Speaker 3: Yeah, college Saturday was a good day as well. We
- 10:10Speaker 3: went 2-1 in the college. We took our Indiana closing
- 10:13Speaker 3: line value home with us and tucked that away.
- 10:16Speaker 2: So that was the one loss. Also had a nice...
- 10:20Speaker 2: I thought of you, Prez, when I put it in.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Had the Oilers in the back-to-back game against the Mammoth
- 10:25Speaker 3: getting some plus money. So that was nice. I took
- 10:28Speaker 3: them in the second spot there and had a nice
- 10:31Speaker 3: win there. And then killed it in the NFL yesterday.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Hit my 5% with the Bears. Hit my 3% with
- 10:38Speaker 3: the Saints, which was my $ 5 Tuesday play. So yeah,
- 10:42Speaker 3: it was a really, really good week. Had, I believe,
- 10:44Speaker 3: a 9-3 week across all sports. All the free props
- 10:48Speaker 3: were good. All the free plays were good. So, yeah,
- 10:51Speaker 3: I can't complain. And, Prez, you said something that's something
- 10:54Speaker 3: we should mention. The flags in the NFL, it's impossible
- 10:58Speaker 3: to watch these games, man.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I mean, every game is 20 flags.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Like, you know, I love the NFL, and it's been
- 11:06Speaker 3: there since, you know, my birth. And I'll always love it,
- 11:09Speaker 3: but it's getting hard where every 10 minutes it's, you know,
- 11:12Speaker 3: we've got to turn the mic on and.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Say, oh, you know, this, that, and the other. It's hard.
- 11:16Speaker 1: It's frustrating. What's frustrating me the most Joe, I'll go
- 11:19Speaker 1: to you is, uh, Is this goat word on fourth down?
- 11:23Speaker 1: I mean, are you? Aren't you?
- 11:25Speaker 5: Why?
- 11:25Speaker 1: Why not? I don't understand. There's no rhyme or reason
- 11:28Speaker 1: to any of it. Our overs and unders are basically
- 11:32Speaker 1: being destroyed by fourth downs that nobody understands. Half the
- 11:37Speaker 1: time they should kick and they're not. The other half
- 11:40Speaker 1: the time they should go for it and they kick.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Everybody's brain dead. A bunch of twats. Anyway, Joe, thoughts?
- 11:46Speaker 4: 22 penalties last night for 204 yards is what you had.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Not to mention three drop touchdown passes and two red
- 11:57Speaker 4: zone interceptions by one Dak Prescott. So yeah, that's the
- 12:02Speaker 4: variance and the penalties are just over the top this year.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Yeah. Joe, Joe had a 5% last night on the over.
- 12:10Speaker 1: I had a 4% on the over and, We get
- 12:14Speaker 1: it back.
- 12:14Speaker 5: We move on.
- 12:15Speaker 1: We're grinders.
- 12:16Speaker 2: This happens.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Come on, guys. Anybody thinks we're going to win every
- 12:20Speaker 1: 5% play, let me tell you something. We would not
- 12:22Speaker 1: be doing this if we were able to win every
- 12:25Speaker 1: 5% play. I would own my own golf course, and
- 12:29Speaker 1: I wouldn't have to ask Joe to move the show
- 12:33Speaker 1: up half an hour because my dad wants to golf
- 12:36Speaker 1: on the last good day of the summer. Okay, so
- 12:39Speaker 1: big news from me, everybody, and then we'll get into
- 12:43Speaker 1: some other shit. So I got married on Saturday night. Yeah,
- 12:46Speaker 1: you believe? Joe, all right, let me tell you how
- 12:50Speaker 1: the whole thing went down, dude. It was Vivian's fifth.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Vivian and I have lived together for seven years. It
- 12:56Speaker 1: was her 50th birthday party. We invited a hundred people.
- 13:01Speaker 1: We rented a banquet hall. Uh, it was an open
- 13:04Speaker 1: bar food. Uh, every, everybody, it was a disco party.
- 13:08Speaker 1: So nobody thought a thing. Everybody showed up in full
- 13:12Speaker 1: disco attire. Uh, yeah, Joe, I'll try to find you
- 13:15Speaker 1: another picture. Uh, everyone showed up in disco attire. Carmine,
- 13:20Speaker 1: I'm going to show you Carmine's outfit later on in
- 13:22Speaker 1: the show, but that one, what he won, it was unbelievable. Uh,
- 13:28Speaker 1: Long story short, everyone sits down after the recept, like
- 13:33Speaker 1: the gathering around at the beginning. I made a speech
- 13:36Speaker 1: and then I told everyone, thanks for coming to celebrate
- 13:40Speaker 1: Vivian's birthday, but it's not her birthday. Welcome to our wedding.
- 13:44Speaker 1: And the place went nuts. It was, it was actually unbelievable.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Like it was a total, no, we kept it a
- 13:53Speaker 1: secret from every single person. Nobody knew it could not
- 13:58Speaker 1: have gone any better. And it was a lot of fun. Yeah,
- 14:02Speaker 1: it was a lot of fun. So I cannot, I
- 14:05Speaker 1: cannot complain about what went down on Saturday night. That's
- 14:09Speaker 1: for sure. So other than that, yeah, it was a
- 14:11Speaker 1: fun night.
- 14:14Speaker 2: That's it.
- 14:15Speaker 1: That's my story of what happened on Saturday night.
- 14:18Speaker 5: Yeah, I gotta find that.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I gotta find the Carm picture, though. Dude, oh
- 14:22Speaker 1: my god.
- 14:24Speaker 3: You got someone 15 years younger than you?
- 14:28Speaker 1: No, she's 8 years younger than me.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Oh, I thought you were in your 60s.
- 14:34Speaker 5: Yeah, funny. Yeah.
- 14:37Speaker 1: So, the hilarity of the story, guys, is that Carmine...
- 14:43Speaker 1: Carm and another friend of mine, Brian, hate each other.
- 14:46Speaker 1: I don't want to get into why, but Carmine hates
- 14:49Speaker 1: this guy. Won't be in the same room. Pulled himself
- 14:52Speaker 1: out of all the WhatsApp groups. Won't play poker with
- 14:55Speaker 1: this guy. Had a pool party in Vegas. Invited every
- 14:59Speaker 1: single person except this guy who stayed by himself at
- 15:02Speaker 1: the baccarat table. That's how much they hate this guy.
- 15:06Speaker 1: So Carmine shows up wearing this outfit.
- 15:11Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 15:13Speaker 2: He looks like Viva Zapata.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:16Speaker 5: That's great.
- 15:17Speaker 1: And then the guy he hates.
- 15:20Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Oh, the same outfit?
- 15:23Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Look at that.
- 15:25Speaker 5: That is just hilarious. That's incredible.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Kindred spirits.
- 15:30Speaker 1: In the same outfit.
- 15:31Speaker 5: Wow. Did they kiss and make up?
- 15:35Speaker 1: We tried. They did. They put a 24-hour moratorium on
- 15:40Speaker 1: them hating on each other.
- 15:42Speaker 5: That is great.
- 15:43Speaker 1: But anyway, that was that. Fun weekend, to say the least. Okay.
- 15:49Speaker 1: What else did we learn, Art? What did we learn
- 15:51Speaker 1: about the New York Jets? What did we learn about
- 15:54Speaker 1: the Cleveland Browns? What about Dallas and Green Bay? Is
- 15:57Speaker 1: Green Bay making a comeback? What did we learn about
- 16:01Speaker 1: the Bears?
- 16:02Speaker 3: Green Bay might be off the mat. Listen, we talked
- 16:05Speaker 3: about the Bears last week. They need Caleb Williams. Without
- 16:08Speaker 3: Caleb Williams, that team is not going to be a
- 16:11Speaker 3: real team. Obviously, we all love Ben Johnson and what
- 16:15Speaker 3: he provides and all the offensive weapons the Bears can
- 16:18Speaker 3: throw out there, but Williams is what makes the engine go. Listen,
- 16:22Speaker 3: I'm not breaking any news here, but this is now
- 16:26Speaker 3: again with the Arizona win, the Titans win.
- 16:30Speaker 2: We had mentioned it on the show during the week.
- 16:32Speaker 3: The first five weeks of the season, there was a
- 16:34Speaker 3: touchdown or more underdog that won outright every week in
- 16:37Speaker 3: the NFL. And you got that again this week, right?
- 16:40Speaker 3: And then you got a chance tonight for that to happen.
- 16:43Speaker 3: So every week in the NFL, you get these big
- 16:45Speaker 3: dogs that don't just cover, they win outright.
- 16:48Speaker 2: So it's been a wacky year so far.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Joe, I'm going to throw a question at you. You've
- 16:56Speaker 1: got Green Bay, Detroit, Chicago. and Minnesota, all in the
- 17:04Speaker 1: same division. 5-0 for Minnesota, 3-2 for Detroit. If, let's say,
- 17:12Speaker 1: Seattle gets their act together and makes the playoffs, well,
- 17:16Speaker 1: one of those teams aren't. So who of those four
- 17:21Speaker 1: wins the division, and which one of those four doesn't
- 17:26Speaker 1: make the playoffs?
- 17:29Speaker 5: Well, you got.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Josh Jacobs and Micah Parsons on their way back for
- 17:34Speaker 4: the Packers. Yeah, likely next week. So, you know what
- 17:40Speaker 4: that's all about. Detroit is getting healthier on defense. What
- 17:44Speaker 4: that means, I don't know. That's funny. Minnesota's already got
- 17:50Speaker 4: five wins banked here, and I think they can only
- 17:54Speaker 4: get better on offense here, but that defense is still good.
- 17:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 17:58Speaker 4: And they've already got a couple of wins against the division.
- 18:01Speaker 4: You know, I'm not a Caleb Williams guy. So I
- 18:03Speaker 4: think the Bears ultimately are going to miss the playoffs.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Wow. And Detroit wins the division. And Detroit.
- 18:15Speaker 4: No, no. I think it's going to come down to
- 18:17Speaker 4: Green Bay and Detroit.
- 18:18Speaker 5: I think that's ultimately what it's going to come down to.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Art, what's your take on that?
- 18:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, listen, obviously, I still want to fade Minnesota,
- 18:27Speaker 3: but it's hard when they're, you know, off to this
- 18:30Speaker 3: 5-0 start.
- 18:30Speaker 1: And they got an easy matchup this week.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Yeah, and it feels like it's 6-0 because they got a,
- 18:36Speaker 3: there's no layups in the NFL, but they do have a,
- 18:39Speaker 3: you know, not a great opponent this week. You know,
- 18:42Speaker 3: Green Bay looks, and Joe's right, they're going to be
- 18:44Speaker 3: getting healthier. They're going to get some superstars back.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I'll say this.
- 18:48Speaker 3: My Super Bowl pick was Buffalo and Detroit. I think
- 18:51Speaker 3: Detroit's still going to have, despite them getting their safeties back,
- 18:54Speaker 3: getting Branch back is going to be huge.
- 18:56Speaker 2: He's a huge leader on that defense.
- 18:59Speaker 3: I just, I can't trust that defense in big spots.
- 19:02Speaker 3: So I'm going to say it's Detroit that actually misses. But,
- 19:06Speaker 3: you know, who knows when these guys come back, if
- 19:09Speaker 3: they can really help patch up that defense.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Last quick question and then we'll move on. Who is
- 19:15Speaker 1: winning the NFC East? Art, you go first.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Okay, I also saw this stat, and I don't even
- 19:23Speaker 3: know if this is real. If Washington loses tonight, it'll
- 19:28Speaker 3: be the first time since the merger that a division
- 19:31Speaker 3: has gone winless in back-to-back weeks.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Wow.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Because obviously they had a tie last week, so nobody won.
- 19:38Speaker 3: I saw that stat and I was like, that can't
- 19:41Speaker 3: be real. I think it is a real stat. So
- 19:45Speaker 3: that shows you how pathetic that division is. We said
- 19:48Speaker 3: it last week where you might as well take a
- 19:50Speaker 3: shot maybe on the Giants or Washington or one of
- 19:52Speaker 3: these lower end teams to win odds wise.
- 19:58Speaker 2: I'm going to switch. I thought it was the Giants
- 19:59Speaker 2: last week.
- 20:01Speaker 1: I hate, I think it's Dallas. I think they're still
- 20:04Speaker 1: the team. Nobody's winning the division.
- 20:06Speaker 5: I know.
- 20:08Speaker 1: I think they're the team that's still the most. They're
- 20:09Speaker 1: going to default and all lose.
- 20:11Speaker 5: It's unreal.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Joe, when did.
- 20:13Speaker 1: You ever think, when did you ever think the NFC
- 20:17Speaker 1: East would go down like this? Oh my God. And
- 20:20Speaker 1: who is going to win this division, Joe?
- 20:22Speaker 4: Well, they've been terrible for a while and there's always
- 20:25Speaker 4: been Philadelphia.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Philadelphia still in the Super Bowl. And I mean, now
- 20:30Speaker 1: it's like, They could maybe play in the CFL.
- 20:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I still think Philadelphia is going to win the
- 20:38Speaker 4: division because I think Tanner McGee is much better than
- 20:41Speaker 4: people think. Devonta Smith hopefully will remain healthy and they'll
- 20:48Speaker 4: get some guys back like Saquon and others. But that's
- 20:51Speaker 4: still a good defense. And let's face it, I mean,
- 20:55Speaker 4: you can't trust the Giants, Washington, or Dallas in any way, shape,
- 20:59Speaker 4: or form. So I think Philadelphia, by default.
- 21:03Speaker 5: I agree with you. Yep, by default.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Philadelphia wins. Okay, time to take care of some business,
- 21:09Speaker 1: and we'll get into the parlay of the day and
- 21:11Speaker 1: everything else in the show. I've got one NHL play
- 21:14Speaker 1: up tonight. My NHL has started 8-4 to start the season.
- 21:19Speaker 1: I mean, absolutely tickled pink over... the way the NHL
- 21:23Speaker 1: has begun. I love my play tonight. Grab it over
- 21:26Speaker 1: at WagerTalk.
- 21:27Speaker 2: It's only $ 15.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Art, what do you got?
- 21:31Speaker 3: Yeah, for tonight, obviously passed on the NFL game. Do
- 21:33Speaker 3: have a play up in the baseball. We've been red
- 21:35Speaker 3: hot in the MLB playoffs. Passed on the NHL tonight,
- 21:38Speaker 3: but have had a nice start there as well. Already
- 21:41Speaker 3: eyeing something for tomorrow, so keep your eye on that.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Have a free play up. Keep checking those free plays
- 21:46Speaker 3: because they've been red hot as well. And check out
- 21:48Speaker 3: everything else going on, wt.buzz.com.
- 21:52Speaker 1: There you go.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Joe, yourself?
- 21:55Speaker 5: Baseball, football, basketball.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Yeah, we got basketball starting tomorrow.
- 22:02Speaker 2: We're going to do it.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Tomorrow, we're going to do a bunch on the NBA.
- 22:06Speaker 1: We're going to do like a quick season preview, et cetera,
- 22:10Speaker 1: et cetera. So guys, stay with us for that. NBA
- 22:13Speaker 1: starts tomorrow. Okay, Art. NFL, college football, line moves tomorrow.
- 22:18Speaker 1: This is sort of your segment.
- 22:19Speaker 2: What are you seeing here? We didn't do the parlay
- 22:21Speaker 2: of the day. Let's do the parlay of the day.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Yeah, Utah on the money line for me. That's my, man,
- 22:29Speaker 1: how bad are the Pittsburgh Penguins? But I saw that coming.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Let's take Utah on the money line, minus 180 or something. Art,
- 22:37Speaker 1: what do you got?
- 22:39Speaker 2: All right, give me the abs in regulation.
- 22:42Speaker 5: You'll love it. Joe? Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay. There you go.
- 22:47Speaker 1: That's our parlay of the day. Okay, Art, NFL college
- 22:50Speaker 1: football moves. Talk to us.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Yeah, NFL, it's not as many.
- 22:55Speaker 3: You know, Steelers have seen a little bit of money,
- 22:57Speaker 3: and you've seen a little bit of money that's come
- 22:59Speaker 3: in on the Raiders. College is the more interesting side
- 23:02Speaker 3: so far. Stuff you've seen overnight and stuff you've seen
- 23:05Speaker 3: earlier in the morning. TCU, they laid six and a half.
- 23:08Speaker 3: They took five and a half with Boston College. They
- 23:10Speaker 3: took 10 with Syracuse. They took the hook in the
- 23:13Speaker 3: Michigan game against Indiana. Because once again, they're just buying
- 23:17Speaker 3: on a number. And don't get me wrong, that could
- 23:19Speaker 3: be them faking it, maybe trying to get Indiana under
- 23:22Speaker 3: the touchdown, and then they'll lay it.
- 23:24Speaker 2: But so far, Michigan plus the 7.5.
- 23:27Speaker 3: And then they took pick in the South Carolina game.
- 23:31Speaker 3: That's been pushed up all the way to 2.5 at
- 23:33Speaker 3: home against Tennessee.
- 23:35Speaker 5: All right.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Yeah, go ahead, Joe.
- 23:37Speaker 5: No, that's early on.
- 23:39Speaker 4: But I'm going to be very interested to see that
- 23:41Speaker 4: Tennessee and South Carolina line.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Yeah, 100%.
- 23:44Speaker 5: All right.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Art, 100 miles an hour, we got Carolina three and
- 23:50Speaker 1: three and a halves. We've got Detroit with three almost everywhere,
- 23:54Speaker 1: but FanDuel has a three and a half. We have
- 23:57Speaker 1: Baltimore at minus three almost everywhere, but FanDuel has two
- 24:02Speaker 1: and a half. These are all crucial, crucial numbers. And
- 24:07Speaker 1: the same in Thursday night's game, you got Chicago at
- 24:11Speaker 1: three everywhere. Is anything coming up with that number?
- 24:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, listen, you just mentioned four or five
- 24:18Speaker 3: games that are sitting on that key number of three
- 24:20Speaker 3: or hovering around it. So we'll see now what the
- 24:23Speaker 3: early movement indicates. Like I said, I really haven't seen much.
- 24:26Speaker 3: The really only one that was kind of hovering around
- 24:28Speaker 3: that was Pittsburgh's gone from two to two and a half.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Does that get pushed to three? So obviously when you're
- 24:34Speaker 3: hovering around that key number, a lot of the times
- 24:38Speaker 3: you can get booked on both sides where they lay
- 24:40Speaker 3: it early, take it late, but nothing to report so far, Prince.
- 24:44Speaker 5: Joe, anything?
- 24:46Speaker 4: No, I think that New England-Chicago game is going to
- 24:51Speaker 4: be very interesting on a short week. We've got 10
- 24:54Speaker 4: straight heading into tonight. 10 straight primetime outright winners.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:01Speaker 5: Underdogs.
- 25:03Speaker 4: Okay.
- 25:04Speaker 5: Baseball.
- 25:05Speaker 1: We've got one game tonight. Closeout game. Armstrong versus Peralta.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Tampa Bay minus 150. Six and a half is the total.
- 25:14Speaker 1: How do we bet this?
- 25:17Speaker 4: I don't know, Peralta, if he shows up like he
- 25:19Speaker 4: did last time, this series is over. This series is
- 25:21Speaker 4: already over, but it's going to be interesting. Going to
- 25:25Speaker 4: be more bullpen arms, I guess, but that didn't help
- 25:28Speaker 4: them yesterday with the extra day rest there for the Guardians.
- 25:31Speaker 4: So I just think it's too much to ask for
- 25:35Speaker 4: this Guardians team to figure it out, especially against Peralta,
- 25:38Speaker 4: who's done a pretty good job here. Seems to be
- 25:41Speaker 4: fired up to face his old team there with the
- 25:44Speaker 4: Brewers in the World Series.
- 25:47Speaker 3: Yeah, and we always talk about this in a 2-3
- 25:49Speaker 3: game scenario.
- 25:50Speaker 2: If your bats go cold, you're gone.
- 25:52Speaker 3: And that looks like what's happened here with Cleveland. Obviously,
- 25:56Speaker 3: Tampa will be energized coming off the couple of wins.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Peralta's been great. They're at home.
- 26:01Speaker 3: All the things that matter. We talked about there was
- 26:03Speaker 3: money that came in on Tampa Bay. There was no
- 26:05Speaker 3: surprise there. It's hard not to lean Tampa in this spot.
- 26:08Speaker 5: Yeah, it is.
- 26:09Speaker 4: I think it's a lot of time off, though, for
- 26:12Speaker 4: the Brewers. So that'll be interesting for us.
- 26:15Speaker 1: NHL rundown, four games tonight, guys. Anaheim on the road
- 26:19Speaker 1: playing the New York Rangers. I like the under in
- 26:23Speaker 1: this game. It is six and a half. Art, you're
- 26:27Speaker 1: a Ranger fan.
- 26:28Speaker 5: What do you think?
- 26:30Speaker 2: I love the Rangers. I would take the Ducks with
- 26:33Speaker 2: the plus money.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think the Ducks are going to be
- 26:37Speaker 1: a bet on team moving forward for a little while.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Colorado against Philadelphia. I don't want to bet Colorado here.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I think that's the right play, especially in regulation. But Philadelphia,
- 26:47Speaker 1: off of nine straight losses that they win a game,
- 26:50Speaker 1: I'm just going to sort of wait and see on
- 26:52Speaker 1: this one.
- 26:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, listen, I mentioned that they had taken
- 26:57Speaker 3: Colorado minus one and a half. The only way that
- 27:00Speaker 3: you could probably play this game is like I did
- 27:02Speaker 3: in the parlay of the day in the regulation. But yeah,
- 27:05Speaker 3: it's tough when you're waiting on that team to get
- 27:07Speaker 3: their first win.
- 27:09Speaker 1: I think the Leafs get it done tonight. You know,
- 27:12Speaker 1: the metrics of the game against the Islanders, they actually
- 27:16Speaker 1: outplayed the Islanders and just couldn't get it done. They've
- 27:18Speaker 1: lost three in a row. And I don't believe in
- 27:21Speaker 1: the San Jose team. I think we're actually going to
- 27:23Speaker 1: see a slight regression from what they were last year.
- 27:25Speaker 5: Thoughts?
- 27:27Speaker 2: Over in the game, Press?
- 27:29Speaker 1: I don't mind it either, but I think the better
- 27:32Speaker 1: look is a nice under game tonight, giving us Toronto
- 27:36Speaker 1: and Columbus over tomorrow. I'm more interested in the Columbus
- 27:40Speaker 1: over than in the San Jose over. And I think
- 27:43Speaker 1: Utah is the right play against Pittsburgh. I don't know
- 27:46Speaker 1: what to make of this Pittsburgh team. It's a shame
- 27:51Speaker 1: for them and Sid that they can't part ways.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Why doesn't he just ask for a trade?
- 28:01Speaker 1: I just, I don't think he wants to. I think
- 28:03Speaker 1: he wants to with Mario retiring there. And I think
- 28:08Speaker 1: he just, But to me, it's a shame because although
- 28:12Speaker 1: I'm not a Montreal Canadian fan, he grew up a
- 28:15Speaker 1: fan of that team. He speaks the language. Montreal loves him.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Sid Crosby away from being a real contender.
- 28:25Speaker 5: It's a bummer.
- 28:26Speaker 3: That'd be great for the NHL if he went there.
- 28:29Speaker 2: That'd be great for the sport.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Yeah, but so be it. Utah's the play there. That's
- 28:36Speaker 1: the show, everybody. Make sure to comment. We'll do a
- 28:39Speaker 1: little mailbag section tomorrow. Ralph Michaels on Wednesday. We do
- 28:42Speaker 1: the show every day, Monday to Friday. Thanks for watching.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Have a great night. Let's all kick ass together.
