- 0:00Speaker 1: He was hers Alex Garrett, all right, well, we're gonna
- 0:09Speaker 1: do one leg up on news tonight because I was
- 0:14Speaker 1: getting a little nervous that President Trump was not keeping
- 0:18Speaker 1: his eye fully on the horrible, tragic Texas flooding, but
- 0:24Speaker 1: at the same time he's talking about threats to Brazil
- 0:27Speaker 1: for fifty percent tariff and oh, by the way, thirty
- 0:30Speaker 1: five percent tariff against Canada. The fifty percent teriff against
- 0:34Speaker 1: Brazil for the treatment of former president Bolsonaro is the
- 0:39Speaker 1: second time Trump has intervened in international affairs. We need
- 0:43Speaker 1: President Trump to focus on America, not what Brazil's doing
- 0:48Speaker 1: with their ex president, not what Israel's doing with net
- 0:52Speaker 1: and Yahoo. He needs to focus on the United States
- 0:55Speaker 1: of America. He's a president of the United States of America,
- 0:58Speaker 1: which is why I'm glad he finally visited after a
- 1:02Speaker 1: few days Texas and said this to the reporters, after
- 1:07Speaker 1: surveying the awful damage, which is killed one hundred and
- 1:10Speaker 1: twenty one, one hundred and seven plus and I would
- 1:14Speaker 1: say a lot of kids still missing and have died.
- 1:18Speaker 1: He wanted a tearif Brazil fifty percent that was his
- 1:22Speaker 1: focus this week. I'm glad he shifted his focus to Texas.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Take a listen. It's hard to believe the devastation. Trees
- 1:29Speaker 1: that are one hundred years old just ripped out of
- 1:30Speaker 1: the ground. I've never seen anything like it. I've seen
- 1:33Speaker 1: a lot of bed once, I've gone to a lot
- 1:35Speaker 1: of hurricanes, a lot of tornadoes. I've never seen anything
- 1:38Speaker 1: like this. Now, what I will say is Meghan Kelly
- 1:44Speaker 1: and Chelsea Clinton got into it this week. But as
- 1:48Speaker 1: an outlet that wants to provide resources and feels strongly
- 1:52Speaker 1: about providing resources, I got to mention some of the
- 1:56Speaker 1: resources Chelsea Clinton has mentioned over the last couple of
- 2:01Speaker 1: days that are fighting to keep these people safe from
- 2:06Speaker 1: the floods and help rescue efforts as well. Because Megan
- 2:13Speaker 1: Kelly went off about the hosts that Chelsea Clinton did
- 2:18Speaker 1: a couple of days ago about how they are members
- 2:20Speaker 1: of the Clinton Global Initiative on the ground in Texas
- 2:23Speaker 1: supporting families, But then she listed a whole bunch of
- 2:26Speaker 1: other resources, Airling Flight All Hands Hearts in Kirk County,
- 2:34Speaker 1: Red Cross, of course, America Cares deploying an emergency response
- 2:39Speaker 1: team to help restore access to health poor response, coordinating
- 2:44Speaker 1: closely with Texas VOAD and local and state partners to
- 2:48Speaker 1: identify what families need most. CRF plus is connected with
- 2:56Speaker 1: their partners on the ground, who was as the needs
- 2:58Speaker 1: of local artists all so offering funding and resources to
- 3:02Speaker 1: craft artists impacted by the flooding. Direct Relief committed fifty
- 3:07Speaker 1: thousand dollars to support the deployment of emergency medical supply
- 3:12Speaker 1: and operating funds to impact the communities. And give directly,
- 3:15Speaker 1: which is sending cash directly to tax to Texas flood survivors,
- 3:20Speaker 1: give directly, and of course go fund Me and IMC worldwide.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I mean, she listed a bunch of different resources that
- 3:29Speaker 1: I think are valuable in the long run to help
- 3:31Speaker 1: these families who have lost loved ones, who are still
- 3:35Speaker 1: struggling through the floods. And I understand that there have
- 3:39Speaker 1: been fights about these alert systems for days, but now
- 3:43Speaker 1: it's not the time for debating and know what to
- 3:45Speaker 1: those who say the victims deserved it because they might
- 3:49Speaker 1: have voted maggot, because they might have shame on you, Chelsea.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Clinton's being better than that, and we got to recognize
- 3:56Speaker 1: that she's offering resources, She's not putting blame on the victims.
- 4:01Speaker 1: So he's saying, let's get help on the ground now.
- 4:04Speaker 1: And what's President Trump doing? Yes, he went to Texas, ay,
- 4:07Speaker 1: but what's he been doing all week? He's been threatening tariffs,
- 4:09Speaker 1: He's been getting involved with international affairs. It don'tly even
- 4:12Speaker 1: impact our country. Who cares if Polson Arrow got treated
- 4:16Speaker 1: like crap. Our state of Texas needs US right now.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And he's there today. Okay, he went to Texas, I
- 4:30Speaker 1: and imber mildly going. But the whole week he's been
- 4:33Speaker 1: talking about tariff threats to both Brazil and Canada, and
- 4:37Speaker 1: then of course the Epstein disaster with the closing of it,
- 4:40Speaker 1: saying there's no files. I don't know what's going on there,
- 4:44Speaker 1: but there was no focus on what matter most for
- 4:48Speaker 1: the President United States, which is which is what's happening
- 4:54Speaker 1: in Texas right now. And I applaud Chelsea Clinton for
- 4:58Speaker 1: listing all these resources which are being matched up to
- 5:04Speaker 1: one hundred thousand dollars Team Mumbican Texts, dia Per Bank,
- 5:10Speaker 1: Resilient Texas Reliefs and Recovery Campaign, creating a fund to
- 5:14Speaker 1: support those in need. There are real resources out there,
- 5:17Speaker 1: and maybe I'll take Chelsea's leading tag all these groups
- 5:21Speaker 1: because I want this pod to be a connector to
- 5:23Speaker 1: be a hub, if you will, for resources when people
- 5:28Speaker 1: need it the most, to have help them have one
- 5:31Speaker 1: leg up through the floods. That's what we need, That's
- 5:34Speaker 1: what we need. I want to also shout out the
- 5:37Speaker 1: Cowboys and the Texans and the NFL who have combined,
- 5:41Speaker 1: by the way, in a statement earlier this week to
- 5:47Speaker 1: donate one point five million dollars to provide immediate systems
- 5:51Speaker 1: and long term resources to those most impacted by the
- 5:54Speaker 1: catastrophic flooding. So to all those resources that I've been
- 5:59Speaker 1: talking about on this podcat cast that thanks to Chelsea Clinton,
- 6:02Speaker 1: thank you for stepping in. Thank you for not playing
- 6:07Speaker 1: a blame game, even if you're a liberal organization and
- 6:10Speaker 1: not saying, oh, we won't help these people because they're
- 6:13Speaker 1: Trump supporters. Remember when FEMA did that. Remember when FEMA
- 6:17Speaker 1: did that, they said, Hey, we're not going to help
- 6:19Speaker 1: these people because they're Trump supporters in North Carolina. It
- 6:22Speaker 1: was awful. So thanks to all the resources that they're saying,
- 6:25Speaker 1: we're going to step up for the people of Texas
- 6:28Speaker 1: no matter who they voted for. And I wish all
- 6:31Speaker 1: of the Public Square would act like that right now.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Not the blame game, not that they deserved it if
- 6:36Speaker 1: they voted for Trump. No, none of that. We need
- 6:41Speaker 1: to have one leg up for Texas in this horrible,
- 6:45Speaker 1: horrible situation. I feel like finally getting around to this
- 6:50Speaker 1: is localthartic for me, because I've been wanting to talk
- 6:52Speaker 1: about this. I'm wondered about the resources needed to stabilize
- 6:57Speaker 1: the region, to continue rescue efforts and to provide assistance.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I don't know why Megan Kelly wanted to take her on,
- 7:05Speaker 1: because I thought Chelsea Clinton did the right move sharing
- 7:08Speaker 1: all the different groups that are supporting those in need.
- 7:14Speaker 1: That's what we need right now. Not blame game, not
- 7:19Speaker 1: who deserve what, simply places that are supporting and rescuing
- 7:25Speaker 1: and providing in time of need to our brothers and
- 7:29Speaker 1: sisters in Texas, to the kids in Texas. And they're
- 7:34Speaker 1: doing it without any kind of bias, it seems like,
- 7:38Speaker 1: and we should applaud that. So please, President Trump, cut
- 7:42Speaker 1: the tariff nonsense for once. Focus on your country. I
- 7:49Speaker 1: don't care what Bolson Arrows got going on in uh
- 7:53Speaker 1: in Brazil. I don't even care really what Nana was
- 7:56Speaker 1: going through. I mean, it's quite something going on there
- 7:58Speaker 1: with his trials, but I really care about that. No,
- 8:02Speaker 1: you know why I care about what's going on in
- 8:04Speaker 1: our country. I care about those that are hating America
- 8:14Speaker 1: right now. We need to fix that too, because the
- 8:18Speaker 1: fabric of this country will be ripped apart and we
- 8:21Speaker 1: let the haters prevail, we let the blamers prevail, and
- 8:27Speaker 1: we let the outside influence of what's going on in
- 8:31Speaker 1: Brazil and and Israel prevail over what we need in
- 8:34Speaker 1: our country right now. So if we could stop the
- 8:38Speaker 1: tariff threats and the tariff talks and put that aside
- 8:42Speaker 1: and put the focus on real Americans right now who
- 8:47Speaker 1: are in need, I think we'd be better off. That's
- 8:49Speaker 1: how we'd have one leg up for those in need
- 8:52Speaker 1: in the United States of America. It's to shift focus
- 8:55Speaker 1: from what's going on with bolson Arrow, what's going on
- 8:57Speaker 1: with that Yahoo, and just focusing on what's going on
- 9:01Speaker 1: right here in our country. Yes, President Trump, they voted
- 9:05Speaker 1: for you, that is true, which means you should be
- 9:08Speaker 1: there even more than focusing on Bolsonaro and Nat Yahoo's
- 9:14Speaker 1: trials and Canada's tariff war. What's happening in Texas is
- 9:22Speaker 1: taking present over tariffs, and we need to refocus that
- 9:29Speaker 1: from here on out. And that's how I'll have one
- 9:33Speaker 1: leg up for America.
