- 0:00Speaker 1: If it was going to piss down, would you still
- 0:01Speaker 1: go to your batch next week?
- 0:03Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 0:04Speaker 1: And then what do you do if it's persing down?
- 0:06Speaker 3: Wow, it'll My theory is it'll be spring weather, so
- 0:10Speaker 3: it'll pass down for like ten minutes and then it'll
- 0:12Speaker 3: be fine.
- 0:13Speaker 4: For ten Yeah, you know, so you can go for.
- 0:16Speaker 2: A little wander around, a.
- 0:17Speaker 4: Bit of a tottu. Yeah, go in and out, in
- 0:21Speaker 4: and out. Yeah. Have you ever.
- 0:26Speaker 5: For all you mad bastards loving the Big Show podcast?
- 0:31Speaker 5: Get up even closer on Instagram, YouTube and tik tok
- 0:35Speaker 5: for a targets four to seven every weekday.
- 0:39Speaker 2: And the only reason, the only reason I asked that
- 0:41Speaker 2: was because I'm not going to waste my time talking
- 0:43Speaker 2: to you guys if it's not been recorded.
- 0:45Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly. Are we recording here?
- 0:47Speaker 2: Recording?
- 0:48Speaker 4: Yeah? Good shit man?
- 0:50Speaker 1: Have you ever thought about getting out there with a
- 0:52Speaker 1: metal a metal detector?
- 0:55Speaker 5: No?
- 0:56Speaker 1: There can there be some interesting stuff round there.
- 0:57Speaker 3: What I am contemplating which I haven't done before. There's
- 1:01Speaker 3: a dinghy there, Mogi, but it's a heavy old bastard
- 1:07Speaker 3: it Well, no, it's on a trailer, a little trailer
- 1:10Speaker 3: at your head just at the batch. You just wet
- 1:14Speaker 3: that there's quite a dip down in the driveway and
- 1:17Speaker 3: she's very hard to control.
- 1:18Speaker 4: But I may try and take that out.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Can you just sit up a camera for that, please.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Because you know it's going to be a disaster.
- 1:27Speaker 2: It might not be, but it would be a shame
- 1:30Speaker 2: it wasn't captured you. I sort of picture you day one.
- 1:35Speaker 2: You get out there, you're excited, you think, you know what,
- 1:37Speaker 2: it's a beautiful day. I am going to try and
- 1:38Speaker 2: get that trailer out, yes, and then you run over
- 1:41Speaker 2: by your own trailer and killed.
- 1:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Sore foot, Yeah, it's not so bad today, but it's
- 1:49Speaker 3: still quite so.
- 1:50Speaker 1: So how come when I asked about playing golf next week,
- 1:52Speaker 1: you said you've got a sore foot?
- 1:54Speaker 3: I was basing it on my foot from yesterday.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Percentage wise? How much better is it? A?
- 2:00Speaker 4: One percent? Yeah? Wow?
- 2:07Speaker 3: How I will die in that scenario out of the
- 2:10Speaker 3: batch because there's a whole wall of rocks right in
- 2:14Speaker 3: front of it, and I often when I've cast out
- 2:18Speaker 3: and I'm bringing it in again, It'll get hooked up
- 2:20Speaker 3: in the rocks and then I go okay, and then
- 2:23Speaker 3: I start sort of stumbling down the rocks trying to
- 2:26Speaker 3: free the free the line from the snag, and I
- 2:29Speaker 3: can see because they're quite loose and they rock and
- 2:32Speaker 3: they do all sorts of things. I can very much
- 2:34Speaker 3: see myself plummeting head first.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Yeah, you can take solace in the fact that that's
- 2:38Speaker 1: how my granddad died really good.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Retrieving a fishing line.
- 2:42Speaker 1: As a fishman who's at the beach and was walking
- 2:45Speaker 1: on some jagged rocks and that exact thing happened. So
- 2:48Speaker 1: take solace in that.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Well, that freaks me out of it, and he was,
- 2:52Speaker 4: you know, sprite.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Yeah, comparatively, This is because the other thing you've got
- 2:58Speaker 3: to consider is when I go for walks on the beach,
- 3:00Speaker 3: my ankles don't like the sand, and so my ankle
- 3:04Speaker 3: sees up after the first day that I'm there, and
- 3:07Speaker 3: so I tend to be very hobby.
- 3:09Speaker 4: When i'm there because my ankles are all seized up.
- 3:11Speaker 1: You need more like grease around the bearings of your ankles.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Is that right?
- 3:17Speaker 3: They're just rooted keysy basically, and I've been told they're rooted.
- 3:21Speaker 3: They don't there's stuff they don't move, so they get
- 3:24Speaker 3: very swollen.
- 3:25Speaker 1: When do you go to the badge?
- 3:26Speaker 4: Oh, probably tonight?
- 3:28Speaker 6: Really, you said you weren't going to Now you are
- 3:30Speaker 6: maybe tonight you know if you're going or not? Yeah,
- 3:33Speaker 6: I'm going tonight, maybe next week. Well it's that thing
- 3:39Speaker 6: of once again trades. Yeah going, Oh Jesus going to be.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Are they're coming on Monday? Tuesday?
- 3:47Speaker 4: Yes?
- 3:48Speaker 1: So it's like, so you go tonight, come back Monday.
- 3:51Speaker 4: Yeah, No, probably Sunday.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I feel like that's not long enough.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Well we can go back out there. There's nothing stopping true,
- 3:59Speaker 4: you know what I mean?
- 4:00Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 4:00Speaker 4: Okay, whereas you, Maggie your birthday weekend day?
- 4:03Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 4:03Speaker 4: Boy, how exciting will be?
- 4:05Speaker 3: Is he just going to be you and your wife
- 4:08Speaker 3: and my kid and my brother in law?
- 4:11Speaker 4: Right, he's down there and he's a yeah rugby league
- 4:14Speaker 4: going there?
- 4:16Speaker 2: I haven't got a rugby league.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Is your cousin or something someone you always watch rugby
- 4:19Speaker 1: league with?
- 4:20Speaker 2: No, I can't think of who that is, but will
- 4:22Speaker 2: work that out.
- 4:24Speaker 4: And the indie indie India.
- 4:27Speaker 2: He's a I think he's snowboard instructing and white water
- 4:29Speaker 2: rafting he does. Yeah, yeah, rafting must have been about
- 4:36Speaker 2: six months ago. And he got.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Snapped in half.
- 4:39Speaker 2: He got what he do. He jumped out controlling the
- 4:44Speaker 2: boat something could happen with the boat, and he braced
- 4:47Speaker 2: himself against the rocks in the river, and it exerted
- 4:50Speaker 2: an incredible amount of pressure and he ended up with
- 4:52Speaker 2: a spiral fracture up his shin got him good, said
- 4:57Speaker 2: about a year ago.
- 4:59Speaker 3: You know, they and they get on the speedboats down
- 5:01Speaker 3: the river and stuff, and they get rid of over
- 5:03Speaker 3: the shutover. I find nothing appealing about that.
- 5:06Speaker 2: The long the more I think maybe I used to
- 5:08Speaker 2: want to do it, But the more I think about
- 5:09Speaker 2: it now, I go.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Wow, that's God.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Look at That's amazing, isn't it. You know you're five
- 5:13Speaker 2: centimeters away from the rock face? Certain, what's what's good
- 5:17Speaker 2: about that?
- 5:18Speaker 4: Exactly?
- 5:18Speaker 1: That's my feeling the whole Achy Big Show wee days
- 5:22Speaker 1: from four on Radio Hurdarchy.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Remember the Warky Big Show podcast. I feel I would
- 5:31Speaker 2: feel better about pretty much everything else, like skydiving or
- 5:34Speaker 2: whatever you name it.
- 5:36Speaker 1: It's reasonably fun, oh I bet it is, but like
- 5:39Speaker 1: not fucking fun.
- 5:40Speaker 2: It's reasonable, right, it's not great?
- 5:42Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's it's it's good. But I've probably done
- 5:45Speaker 1: it about five or six times, just from different stories
- 5:47Speaker 1: I've had to do for work back in the day,
- 5:49Speaker 1: and every time I do it again, I'm late. To
- 5:52Speaker 1: make it more fun is to get even closer to
- 5:54Speaker 1: the rocks. Right'll go faster.
- 5:56Speaker 3: You're not really into being thrown around, you know what?
- 5:59Speaker 3: I Yeah, you've had and the buttoir that's different, Maggie.
- 6:05Speaker 3: But but the idea of just being sort of tossed
- 6:08Speaker 3: around and nearly dying.
- 6:10Speaker 2: I can't imagine you enjoyed anything on holiday.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I enjoy peace and quiet walk.
- 6:17Speaker 2: You go for a walk on the beach and your
- 6:19Speaker 2: your ankle sees that, ye go fishing your full head
- 6:21Speaker 2: over heels, lean on your scale, Yet you're run over
- 6:26Speaker 2: by your own dinghy.
- 6:28Speaker 1: So let's just say right me you Moggie Pugs. And
- 6:30Speaker 1: we went on holiday too Queenstown, all right. We had
- 6:33Speaker 1: three days there and I wanted to go do like
- 6:35Speaker 1: I wanted to go get boating.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Would you go on that?
- 6:38Speaker 5: No?
- 6:39Speaker 1: I wanted to Maybe Meggie wants to go up and
- 6:40Speaker 1: do the lousee would you go do that? I do
- 6:42Speaker 1: the lose okay, and the gondolas. I might want to
- 6:45Speaker 1: hire an e bike and just ride around. There's a
- 6:46Speaker 1: cool trail around the lake, okay.
- 6:49Speaker 2: So I'd say no to that, as well, it's fun.
- 6:51Speaker 2: It's kind of right. It depends how fast the e bokes.
- 6:54Speaker 1: They were real fast, and there's a trail and there's
- 6:56Speaker 1: a few craft breweries and stuff along.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Yeah, teemed. Now we got if you rephrase that and
- 7:02Speaker 2: said do you want to go to the pub then
- 7:05Speaker 2: do you want to go to lots of pubs all
- 7:07Speaker 2: in the row? Yes, and we can ride because that's
- 7:11Speaker 2: what we do.
- 7:12Speaker 1: We got back to the hotel like steamed just yeah,
- 7:15Speaker 1: that's good right there, and I do the old like
- 7:20Speaker 1: what I want to do. I would do the bungee
- 7:25Speaker 1: jump down there because would yeah, one hundred and fifteen
- 7:30Speaker 1: meters Skipper's Canyon. And the other thing I want to
- 7:33Speaker 1: do is go to that hot that spar joint what's
- 7:36Speaker 1: that the on something on the do that every bars.
- 7:40Speaker 2: You and me?
- 7:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I definitely do.
- 7:43Speaker 1: If you go there there you have to get an
- 7:45Speaker 1: Instagram photo of you, which I know what I know? Yeah,
- 7:48Speaker 1: and leaning yeah, well.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I might take my backbone budge smoke smugglers down and
- 7:54Speaker 2: can you do.
- 7:54Speaker 4: One with where you just got your hands on the
- 7:56Speaker 4: sort of edge of the pool and then you're looking
- 7:58Speaker 4: over my shoulder with my back Yeah, like a dragon. Yeah, yeah,
- 8:01Speaker 4: that would be great.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Wasn't like a dragon? Was? And your orthopedic slipper and.
- 8:06Speaker 3: My slippers and I've never done snowboarding or skiing.
- 8:10Speaker 2: I'm doing that on the Sunday. Oh, go up on
- 8:12Speaker 2: the sunday there. So I'm going to get the daughter
- 8:14Speaker 2: to learn. And the wife's never been skiing, all right, cool,
- 8:18Speaker 2: So those two are going to learn, oh with the instructor.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Brother cool, and I'm gonna, i know, I think me
- 8:23Speaker 2: and the brother again up the hill, okay, and get
- 8:27Speaker 2: a different they'll get a different instructor. It has been
- 8:29Speaker 2: I'll tell you what. It's been a while. I love it,
- 8:34Speaker 2: but it must be God, it's been a while.
- 8:37Speaker 1: It'll be it'll be over teen, it'll be over ten.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Everything is sort of a yardstick against how long I've
- 8:43Speaker 2: been with the wife there.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Well, it'd be like when Jay says I played golf
- 8:47Speaker 1: last that was like ten years ago, and then you
- 8:48Speaker 1: realized it's actually over twenty years.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Well, it was a three day three days. We went
- 8:57Speaker 2: to uh, what's it called Cooney and we were into
- 9:01Speaker 2: a house there. There's a whole bunch of us, about
- 9:03Speaker 2: ten or fifteen of us steamed and we got on it.
- 9:08Speaker 2: And on the Sunday, the third day, we should go
- 9:12Speaker 2: up because we hadn't been up at all at this point,
- 9:15Speaker 2: we've just been on the hammer. Yes, And we went
- 9:17Speaker 2: up for about an hour and a half and we're
- 9:19Speaker 2: all completely exhausted and just it is hard yeat and
- 9:23Speaker 2: just went back. Well, also because of what we've been doing.
- 9:25Speaker 2: It was a disaster. It was a great weekend, but
- 9:28Speaker 2: in terms of yeah, just shameful behavior. That is so
- 9:32Speaker 2: similar to when my mates and I was supposed to
- 9:34Speaker 2: do the time that it all crossing. Oh yeah, I've
- 9:36Speaker 2: done that.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Twelve of us gathered at a house in top Or.
- 9:39Speaker 1: We went yeah, but we went to bed at five
- 9:41Speaker 1: thirty and we're getting woke. We went to bed at five,
- 9:43Speaker 1: We're getting woken up at five point thirty for the thing.
- 9:46Speaker 1: And literally I shut my eyes because I so steamed.
- 9:50Speaker 1: And then half an hour out of our mate comes
- 9:53Speaker 1: and Damien knocks on the door and opens it and
- 9:55Speaker 1: he's just like, what do you reckon?
- 9:57Speaker 4: Tell us?
- 9:58Speaker 1: And I was just like, I don't think so, man,
- 10:04Speaker 1: And then went to prawn World where you can fish
- 10:07Speaker 1: the prawns and the little prawn like this, I do that. Yeah,
- 10:10Speaker 1: it's boring, you'd love it.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Yeah, God, definitely send us some picks, Maggie, that'd be great.
- 10:17Speaker 3: You guys some pecks too.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:19Speaker 4: What do you want picks of me doing?
- 10:22Speaker 1: Lowering the dinghy in?
- 10:23Speaker 2: Oh yeah, breaking your hand?
- 10:28Speaker 3: Having said that, Having said that, I don't know how
- 10:32Speaker 3: I'd get it back up the drive again.
- 10:33Speaker 4: That would be the problem.
- 10:34Speaker 1: It's a trailer, right, so you use a car.
- 10:37Speaker 4: I don't have a towbar.
- 10:39Speaker 2: You can just lean it up against the bat.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Because the tide comes right up to that car. Yeah, yeah,
- 10:47Speaker 4: sweets so worries.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Hey, Jas, why didn't your reply to my cool funny
- 10:52Speaker 1: picture last night?
- 10:52Speaker 2: I sent you? Oh?
- 10:54Speaker 4: What one?
- 10:55Speaker 5: Was that?
- 10:55Speaker 1: Photo of Jace's wife and an ad that I get
- 10:58Speaker 1: served every night?
- 11:00Speaker 2: Right?
- 11:01Speaker 1: And I was like, spine tangling performance this and you
- 11:03Speaker 1: just left me on scene.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Was it a boat one?
- 11:09Speaker 1: No, it was a receipts one.
- 11:10Speaker 4: I've never seen that one.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Interest.
- 11:13Speaker 3: She's got two auditions today. Incidentally, wow, far out it's
- 11:18Speaker 3: got three heads in the last you know, sort of
- 11:20Speaker 3: six months.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yeah, swings roundabout, So that isn't it?
- 11:25Speaker 1: Three and six months? That's pretty good going?
- 11:27Speaker 5: Is that?
- 11:27Speaker 1: That's good?
- 11:28Speaker 4: Three as in a year is two years is good?
- 11:32Speaker 2: Three years if you if you're doing one commercial a year,
- 11:35Speaker 2: you're doing bloody well.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Because I thought, based on my experiences that you're beginning
- 11:40Speaker 1: year no no, no no, that I'm doing really badly.
- 11:43Speaker 4: You know what you're doing really well?
- 11:45Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, because my confidence is thanks fellas. I can
- 11:48Speaker 1: always rely on you guys to pick me up. Hey,
- 11:50Speaker 1: lit'ten a hudarchy? Seven?
- 11:54Speaker 4: You sure recording this Ki?
- 11:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it's I'm probably going to delete it afterwards as well,
- 11:58Speaker 1: by accident four or even weekdays Radio Hodaki. It's a
- 12:02Speaker 1: big show.
