- 0:09Speaker 1: Ye Shooters Bice, it's time Hell no, no, no no
- 0:14Speaker 1: and nove love. Hello, Welcome to the Naughty but Night
- 0:17Speaker 1: Show and your host from Shooter. And it is Thursday,
- 0:21Speaker 1: which means our dear friend Mark Lupo joins us. Hey,
- 0:24Speaker 1: Loopy are you there?
- 0:26Speaker 2: Lupy lewis here? And a very happy birthday.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Oh you're so sweet. Thank you. Today is my birthday.
- 0:34Speaker 1: The best gift of all naughties is you this show.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Thank you for supporting us. It's really really amazing what
- 0:41Speaker 1: we've been able to do with this little podcast. We've
- 0:44Speaker 1: been doing it now about four five years and it
- 0:48Speaker 1: is finally caught on. I looked on the charts yesterday, Mark,
- 0:53Speaker 1: we're late number thirteen on the Entertainment charts of all
- 0:59Speaker 1: the big shows people TMZ. There's some really heavy hitters
- 1:04Speaker 1: in our category, and our little show holds its own nice.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Nice There's hundreds of shows. It's really impressive for millions,
- 1:11Speaker 2: six seven years of hard work and here we.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Are millions and now. I don't want to say it
- 1:17Speaker 1: runs itself, because I never want to get complacent it
- 1:20Speaker 1: or lazy, but I think we've hit astride. We know
- 1:23Speaker 1: who we are. We're naughty, we're nice, We're not mean.
- 1:27Speaker 1: The tone I think is exactly the type of show
- 1:30Speaker 1: I would listen to it. I love my celebrity gossip,
- 1:32Speaker 1: but I don't want to leave it feeling like dirty
- 1:36Speaker 1: or really cruel. Perez used to do that to me.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I used to really enjoy it, and then I felt
- 1:41Speaker 1: so guilty. I even got like that with the Real Housewives.
- 1:44Speaker 1: The house I've started to make me feel a bit dirty.
- 1:47Speaker 1: I was like, ooh, and then I stopped watching it.
- 1:49Speaker 1: So thanks for supporting us. It is my birthday. I'm
- 1:52Speaker 1: having dinner tonight with Bruce. We're going to Carbo and
- 1:55Speaker 1: the fancy restaurant. Cheryl Crowley got me. And if you're listening, Cheryl,
- 1:59Speaker 1: allow our friendship. I love that you love the best.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I love the best of Thank you for all your dms,
- 2:06Speaker 1: your emails, your wishes. Let's get into the show. Enough
- 2:08Speaker 1: about me a time?
- 2:09Speaker 3: Is it?
- 2:10Speaker 1: My friends? It is tea time. Some might say birthday time. No,
- 2:15Speaker 1: I'm not going to tease it the whole show. But
- 2:17Speaker 1: if you do understand me, gifts, No, I'm You've been
- 2:20Speaker 1: here busy enough, Okay, this story blew up yesterday Meghan
- 2:24Speaker 1: Markle is going to appear on Master Chef Australia. Now
- 2:28Speaker 1: it's not even aired yet and people are calling to
- 2:32Speaker 1: boycott it. I swear so Megan's upcoming guest appearance. She's
- 2:35Speaker 1: a guest appearance on it. We've seen these shows. We
- 2:38Speaker 1: might not have seen Master Chef Australia here in America
- 2:41Speaker 1: or outside of Australia. I know our show has listened
- 2:44Speaker 1: to around the world, which is wild and very exciting.
- 2:47Speaker 1: But every country has its version of Master Chef. We
- 2:51Speaker 1: all have cooking shows. I'd say Top Chef is probably
- 2:53Speaker 1: our version here and they always have a guest judge on,
- 2:57Speaker 1: don't they. I think Countess Luanne has been a guest judge,
- 3:00Speaker 1: So I think going down the rabbit hole of asking
- 3:03Speaker 1: if judges are qualified her competition shows on television is
- 3:09Speaker 1: a very dubious era. Is Heidi Klum really qualified to
- 3:15Speaker 1: be a judge on? Is it Britain? America's got talent?
- 3:18Speaker 1: Is that? Is that not an X factor? No, she's
- 3:20Speaker 1: a model. She's a model and she's not American. So
- 3:24Speaker 1: I think if we're going to go down that road,
- 3:26Speaker 1: I think we're going to get very, very very dodgy,
- 3:29Speaker 1: very dodgy circumstances, so she's going to serve as a
- 3:31Speaker 1: guest Rudge. Contestants are challenged to create dishes, seasonal ingredients,
- 3:36Speaker 1: personal stories.
- 3:36Speaker 3: You know.
- 3:37Speaker 1: But all these cooking shows are all the same, and
- 3:39Speaker 1: I love them. I love them, I love them. So
- 3:40Speaker 1: she accepted to do it. It's going to air, and
- 3:43Speaker 1: now people are saying she is not a chef. No,
- 3:46Speaker 1: she is not a chefer. But you're missing the point
- 3:49Speaker 1: that supporters are saying. It's another Kreer move. She's trying
- 3:52Speaker 1: to get into this genre, this Martha Stewart area, and
- 3:55Speaker 1: there's a lot of money to be made in food.
- 3:58Speaker 1: In her defense, before she married to the duke, before
- 4:01Speaker 1: she married her husband, she did have a cooking bloc,
- 4:06Speaker 1: so there is some legitimacy here. It wasn't a major
- 4:11Speaker 1: food magazine, it wasn't gourmet magazine, but she did have this,
- 4:14Speaker 1: so she's always been interested in this world of hospitality
- 4:18Speaker 1: and food. And then, just to make people even more mad,
- 4:21Speaker 1: which might be laugh her show, which was not that good,
- 4:24Speaker 1: it got canceled, Love Megan got its first Daytime Emmy nomination.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Now that has sent people into a frenzy. Two things,
- 4:34Speaker 1: Mark what do you think about her being a guest
- 4:36Speaker 1: judge on a reality cooking show in Australia. Let's be
- 4:40Speaker 1: clear here, this is not World Peace. And what do
- 4:42Speaker 1: you think about her getting an Amy nomination?
- 4:44Speaker 4: There's great questions. Okay, so starting with the Top Chef,
- 4:47Speaker 4: So I think she's pushing so Australia and.
- 4:49Speaker 2: All really hard.
- 4:50Speaker 4: You know, she was that's it on that tour and
- 4:51Speaker 4: she's making all this money there and then maybe she
- 4:53Speaker 4: thought it wouldn't be paying attention, but we are. Listen,
- 4:57Speaker 4: I don't care go on the show if you want to.
- 4:59Speaker 4: I'm used to what audience she's targeting. Are you trying
- 5:02Speaker 4: to go for the old school way of doing this,
- 5:05Speaker 4: which seems like she is, which is the legacy shows
- 5:08Speaker 4: and trying to make her path that way, or are
- 5:10Speaker 4: you trying to reach it more a younger emerging demo,
- 5:13Speaker 4: which is TikTok and other social media platforms. So I'm
- 5:16Speaker 4: just all look confused there. Either way, I'm not gonna
- 5:18Speaker 4: watch it. So you know, as far as from Daytime
- 5:22Speaker 4: Emmy Award, listen, I am a daytime Emmy voter. I'm
- 5:26Speaker 4: part of the Academy, also a two time nominee. So
- 5:29Speaker 4: I've been she's a good company apparently. I'm shocked, you know,
- 5:33Speaker 4: because these all ward shows, as we know, are all
- 5:35Speaker 4: about popularity. It's you pick the people, the names you recognize.
- 5:39Speaker 4: And in her category, I couldn't identify any show that
- 5:43Speaker 4: I've ever heard of except for her. So maybe people
- 5:46Speaker 4: just were bored and they're like, we'll pick this one.
- 5:48Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 5:50Speaker 1: That's part of it, though. It is about popularity, and
- 5:53Speaker 1: as we know from shows like Dancing with the Stars,
- 5:57Speaker 1: often the most controversial celebrity is the most popular for
- 6:01Speaker 1: the show, not in real life. But they don't really
- 6:04Speaker 1: care as much about Megan's show. They care about their shows.
- 6:08Speaker 1: We know anyone that's worked in television. It's rough. Every
- 6:12Speaker 1: season the ratings go down. These award shows, which used
- 6:15Speaker 1: to get millions of viewers, they don't get them anymore.
- 6:19Speaker 1: The Oscars is moving to YouTube, it won't be on
- 6:23Speaker 1: traditional television anymore, and so award shows always need just
- 6:28Speaker 1: a little pop of controversy, just a little pop of
- 6:32Speaker 1: people getting annoyed. Because we're all going to tune in
- 6:35Speaker 1: to see what she's wearing. We're all I don't think
- 6:37Speaker 1: she's gonna win, so they're not gonna say, oh, she's
- 6:40Speaker 1: diminished our award, which is a made up award. iiO
- 6:43Speaker 1: let me tell you it's a bunch of present company accepted. Mark,
- 6:47Speaker 1: the wars were absolutely deserved. And you are a voter.
- 6:51Speaker 1: But I know a lot of really dodgy people who
- 6:55Speaker 1: are voters on those like I really when we had
- 6:58Speaker 1: our morning show, the Gossip Table, we feel that the
- 7:00Speaker 1: paperwork to get nominated for an EMMA, and they laughed
- 7:04Speaker 1: in our face, like just like, but they're a little
- 7:06Speaker 1: snobby too. They're a little bit It's an odd bunch
- 7:09Speaker 1: when you actually look miner. When we found out that
- 7:12Speaker 1: the Hollywood Foreign Press was eighty seven people who had
- 7:15Speaker 1: not been there were they were a strange bunster vot
- 7:19Speaker 1: It wasn't like British Vogue or outlet you might have
- 7:23Speaker 1: heard of international outlets. It was blogs in Bulgaria. I
- 7:28Speaker 1: didn't know any of these people, and so I'm I've
- 7:32Speaker 1: got to be careful here in case we ever get
- 7:33Speaker 1: nominated for an EMM. Because they listened to this episode.
- 7:36Speaker 1: So Emmy, Emmy Academy, I love you. You are very smart,
- 7:40Speaker 1: you're very handsome. We will love the Award. But I
- 7:42Speaker 1: think this is actually really really smart because I wasn't
- 7:46Speaker 1: really talking about the Emmys. Having Meg and Markle there,
- 7:50Speaker 1: It's going to be a moment and you know, you
- 7:52Speaker 1: know she's going to go you know, no, I can't
- 7:55Speaker 1: wait in the dress or she bring him And as
- 7:59Speaker 1: far as the Top Chef, do we care? Let her
- 8:02Speaker 1: have a moment. I won't watch the show, but I'll
- 8:05Speaker 1: definitely watch the highlights. They'll pull the funniest couple of
- 8:08Speaker 1: minutes and so I'll watch that. But it is interesting.
- 8:11Speaker 1: It just goes to show if you like somebody, then
- 8:14Speaker 1: it's great. If Andy Cohen was a judge on Top Chef,
- 8:17Speaker 1: we'd be like, oh, fantastic, that's so great. But because
- 8:21Speaker 1: we don't like Meghan, there's nothing she can do we're
- 8:25Speaker 1: ever going to embrace, which brings us to our whole
- 8:27Speaker 1: question of the day. Megan Markle is gonna go on
- 8:31Speaker 1: Master Chef Australia. It's like Top Chef and already people
- 8:35Speaker 1: are saying we should boycott the show. Will you give
- 8:38Speaker 1: the show a chance? Will you give it a check?
- 8:41Speaker 1: What would happen mark if she's fantastic if she goes
- 8:45Speaker 1: on this show she's funny, she's witty, she whips up
- 8:49Speaker 1: a soup fla in ten minutes. She shows up. You
- 8:52Speaker 1: never know it could happen. I try not to prejudge
- 8:55Speaker 1: sometimes when I see guests guest stars on show, I
- 9:00Speaker 1: rolled my eyes. Then they turned out to be Bellrilliant.
- 9:03Speaker 1: That Kim Kardashian show. I love it. It was awful, but
- 9:06Speaker 1: I love it that that one she's with. Glenn Close said,
- 9:10Speaker 1: it's on Netflix. It's got us part two of it.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Should never know? Will you give it a chance or
- 9:16Speaker 1: are you already decided? Okay, go vote on that EXI
- 9:20Speaker 1: Twitter page at multiy nized rob Facebook page is muilty
- 9:23Speaker 1: gossip and be sure to check back to a barrow
- 9:25Speaker 1: to hear your results. Hey Loops, what are you working
- 9:28Speaker 1: on this?
- 9:28Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 9:28Speaker 4: This is big news. Shan de d Combs has sold
- 9:31Speaker 4: his Miami Star Island mansioned for fifty five million dollars.
- 9:35Speaker 4: So Sean de d Combs has cashed in on one
- 9:37Speaker 4: of his most priced real estate holdings, selling his lavish
- 9:40Speaker 4: Star Island mansion in Miami for a staggering million. The
- 9:44Speaker 4: waterfront estate was sold in an off market deal to
- 9:47Speaker 4: a Virginia based real estate holding company, with the buyer
- 9:50Speaker 4: financing part of the purchase through an eighteen point five
- 9:53Speaker 4: million dollars mortgage. The Blockbuster sale marks another financial move
- 9:57Speaker 4: for the music mogul as he continues to reship his empire,
- 10:01Speaker 4: with one of Miami's most executive and exclusive celebrity profiles
- 10:05Speaker 4: now changing hands.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been to this place. So I've been to
- 10:08Speaker 1: Diddi's home on Star Island when I was his publicist.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I worked with did Hey twenty years ago. Really interesting here.
- 10:15Speaker 1: I don't know what he's doing. I'm told he's going
- 10:17Speaker 1: to sell off a lot of his properties. This is
- 10:18Speaker 1: where all his money is now. It's not really in
- 10:21Speaker 1: the music business, although he does get royalties and all
- 10:23Speaker 1: those biggie songs, and I think Mary J. Blige when
- 10:26Speaker 1: they signed up with Diddy, he really gave them bad contracts.
- 10:29Speaker 1: He would say, he gave them a chance, and it's
- 10:31Speaker 1: because of him they became very famous and rich. But
- 10:34Speaker 1: it wasn't a contract that you would sign unless you
- 10:38Speaker 1: had to, like, if you had other offers, you'd go
- 10:41Speaker 1: to another label. So the Diddy contracts were always notoriously difficult.
- 10:45Speaker 1: So he does make royalties. However, his big money now
- 10:48Speaker 1: is real estate. That's often the case, isn't it. When
- 10:50Speaker 1: you think of your own personal wealth, it probably isn't
- 10:53Speaker 1: in the bank. It probably is in property. If you
- 10:55Speaker 1: own a home, that might be your biggest asset. I
- 10:58Speaker 1: know that's the case for most people I know who
- 11:00Speaker 1: are lucky enough to not rent and to own their
- 11:02Speaker 1: own homes. Did he selling all this for a reason?
- 11:05Speaker 1: I think he wants a fresh start. I think that
- 11:08Speaker 1: this is a man that I know pretty well. That's
- 11:10Speaker 1: why he kept changing his name. It's like starting over.
- 11:12Speaker 1: And I would imagine when he comes out of jail,
- 11:15Speaker 1: he'll never go to those homes that were raided by
- 11:17Speaker 1: the FBI ever. Again, remember Michael Jackson never went back
- 11:20Speaker 1: to Netherland. Did he think of himself as a little
- 11:22Speaker 1: bit of a Mica call? He really does. In his
- 11:24Speaker 1: own mind. He thinks he's brilliant, and he certainly has
- 11:27Speaker 1: the wealth to sort of back that up. We're talking
- 11:30Speaker 1: fifty five million. This is a major, major house. It's
- 11:33Speaker 1: one of the most luxurious homes, and so I think
- 11:36Speaker 1: he'll sell it, and I think he will then decide
- 11:40Speaker 1: what to do with potentially the hundreds of millions of
- 11:43Speaker 1: dollars he'll have in his bank account if you walk
- 11:45Speaker 1: out of prison and he's coming out. I think it's
- 11:48Speaker 1: twenty twenty seven, so he's got another year. He'll walk
- 11:51Speaker 1: out one hundred million dollars. I'm working on this story
- 11:54Speaker 1: that he's in really good shape in prison. He's been
- 11:56Speaker 1: working out. He got a bit sloppy. We all do,
- 11:59Speaker 1: don't we He dragged a little too much and then
- 12:00Speaker 1: a little too much. He's not doing that in jail.
- 12:03Speaker 1: So I think he's going to come out of jail
- 12:05Speaker 1: feeling like the king of the world. And that's what
- 12:08Speaker 1: we're going to see. If he can have a comeback.
- 12:11Speaker 1: All the money in the world won't buy him that,
- 12:13Speaker 1: but I wonder. I do wonder if there is an
- 12:15Speaker 1: audience for Diddy. I hope not, but you never ever know. Okay,
- 12:20Speaker 1: Moving along, Billy Joel is revealing one he walked away
- 12:23Speaker 1: from songwriting. So he said he stopped writing songs because
- 12:27Speaker 1: he refused to let his career fade away with not
- 12:31Speaker 1: very good albums. He said that after his nineteen ninety
- 12:34Speaker 1: three River of Dreams album, a brilliant album. If you
- 12:38Speaker 1: haven't listened to it, or if you have, try and again,
- 12:40Speaker 1: it's really really good good. He said that was great.
- 12:42Speaker 1: He loved it, he knew it was great, and he
- 12:44Speaker 1: didn't want to dilute his legacy by releasing songs that
- 12:47Speaker 1: were not as good. He admits that that creative drive
- 12:50Speaker 1: isn't there. He's got a ton of money. He doesn't
- 12:52Speaker 1: need to do this for the money. So instead of
- 12:54Speaker 1: chasing another hit, he's going to protect his legacy. I
- 12:58Speaker 1: wish more artists would do this. Some artists are still
- 13:02Speaker 1: put an our album after album after album, and Alton
- 13:05Speaker 1: and like, it's just that, Like, I just wish they
- 13:11Speaker 1: don't need the money. It's never gonna sell like the
- 13:14Speaker 1: old days albums like Madonna's gonna hit album. This week
- 13:17Speaker 1: she sold one hundred thousand coppies. She used this whole
- 13:20Speaker 1: twenty five million. So that's the difference, and that is
- 13:23Speaker 1: the record business has changed. It's like the magazine business,
- 13:26Speaker 1: the television business. It's over. And so I would only
- 13:29Speaker 1: put out an album. I'm not gonna make any money
- 13:31Speaker 1: from that album. I'd only do it if I thought
- 13:33Speaker 1: it was really amazing. And nothing Billy has done, he said,
- 13:37Speaker 1: is as good as the past. It's so refreshing to
- 13:40Speaker 1: know when to walk away? Mark, what do you.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Think it truly is?
- 13:42Speaker 1: You know?
- 13:42Speaker 4: And I saw Billy joelsg a few years ago in
- 13:45Speaker 4: a credible show.
- 13:47Speaker 2: And it's amazing. I didn't realize he stopped in ninety
- 13:49Speaker 2: three because she has so many hits songs and.
- 13:51Speaker 4: They feel they feel relevant still, they saw feel fun
- 13:54Speaker 4: and and and so yeah, I'm glad he didn't do
- 13:57Speaker 4: more and more and more and drag himself into this
- 13:59Speaker 4: like Madonna, because what's the point.
- 14:01Speaker 2: You have the money, what's the point.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Elton John, he was on two with Elton John. And
- 14:05Speaker 1: Elton keeps pumping out albums. His prerogative, it's his money.
- 14:09Speaker 1: And he said to Billy, you should record more, and
- 14:11Speaker 1: Billy said, you should record less. Okay, quickly before we
- 14:15Speaker 1: get a break. We've been following this story Teresa Judici
- 14:17Speaker 1: from the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Her daughter Milania
- 14:20Speaker 1: was arrested at the time, I reported that she slapped
- 14:24Speaker 1: her stepfather, Lewis. Now it seems like that has been confirmed.
- 14:28Speaker 1: What are we know?
- 14:29Speaker 2: That's right? So, Millennia is now facing new allegations after
- 14:32Speaker 2: a judge claimed the twenty year old punched the victim
- 14:35Speaker 2: in the face during chaotic domestic the speed that led
- 14:37Speaker 2: to her so during her virtual court appearance, prosecutors alleged
- 14:42Speaker 2: that the daughter the Real Housewives in Jersey started to
- 14:44Speaker 2: Resa judastruckt, the alleged victim with her fist, leaving a
- 14:48Speaker 2: visible redness on her forehead. Now convicted, Melania could face
- 14:52Speaker 2: up to six months in jail, probation and fines.
- 14:55Speaker 1: You can't be hitting people now. You can't be hitting
- 14:58Speaker 1: people even that's the problem there. Whole family has been
- 15:00Speaker 1: rewarded for bad behavior. We've seen this with other reality
- 15:03Speaker 1: stars Mark. They think that the behavior on TV, which
- 15:06Speaker 1: gets them a lot of attention and a lot of
- 15:08Speaker 1: money is the formula to win it life, and it's not.
- 15:11Speaker 1: When that camera is not rolling, stop doing it. We've
- 15:13Speaker 1: seen this happen. I always chuckle a little bit when
- 15:16Speaker 1: the Real Housewives turn on Brava, and I said, of
- 15:19Speaker 1: course they do. They turn on everyone. You've trained them
- 15:21Speaker 1: to do that. If you think Bethany's going to bite everybody,
- 15:24Speaker 1: but not bite Andy, you're a fool. If you're going
- 15:26Speaker 1: to bite people, you're going to bite everybody. And that
- 15:29Speaker 1: has often been the case, and it does look as
- 15:31Speaker 1: if it is Louis because in the court hearing I
- 15:35Speaker 1: was watching it very closely. The victim was referred to
- 15:39Speaker 1: as l R. His full name is Louis Louis Ruella Montyvie.
- 15:45Speaker 1: There's an LR there, Mark, I told you first. Okay,
- 15:48Speaker 1: we're going to take a quick break and we will
- 15:50Speaker 1: be right back. Welcome back to the naughty but nice
- 15:54Speaker 1: show in the house. Rob Shooter is also the birthday boy.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Thank you for very much, too. Welcome back. Let's get
- 16:01Speaker 1: to the poles. Last year we talked about Justin Beldona's
- 16:06Speaker 1: team are slamming Blake lively. They won eight million from
- 16:10Speaker 1: him in legal fees. They're saying that is excessive. Is
- 16:13Speaker 1: Blake being greedy? Eighty three percent said yes, we're over Blake.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Blake has done herself in on this. People are so
- 16:21Speaker 1: I don't know if she could come back. I don't
- 16:22Speaker 1: and I certainly know she's not gonna let go. Like,
- 16:25Speaker 1: sit down, Blake. It's over, Like this thing has ended.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I never wanted to talk about it ever again. Okay,

- 16:51Speaker 1: Oh but I have I have a.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Gift for you. Kittie Holmes has sparked a new roommance
- 16:57Speaker 2: reverse after holding hands with a dating the Hampton So
- 17:01Speaker 2: Everyone's talking after she was spotted holding hands with artist
- 17:04Speaker 2: Jason bard your Monski during a cozy night out in
- 17:07Speaker 2: the Hampton's and the pair attended a screening of Olivia
- 17:10Speaker 2: Wild's The Invite, where eyewitnesses say they looked completely spin
- 17:15Speaker 2: with her man was springing her ear. The actresses laughed
- 17:18Speaker 2: and throughout the night and even rested her head on
- 17:21Speaker 2: her shoulders.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Love. I've seen the pictures. I want Katie Holmes to
- 17:26Speaker 1: find a bit of love, don't you. It's been a
- 17:29Speaker 1: moment since Tom Cruise and her broke up, and then
- 17:31Speaker 1: we had the Jamie Fox member she was with Jamie
- 17:33Speaker 1: fraz Yeah, I know. I saw them once at a
- 17:36Speaker 1: restaurant in Midtown together their Jamie and Katie, and I
- 17:41Speaker 1: was I didn't eat, I just stopped eating instead at
- 17:43Speaker 1: them all Like Mark well, I love it. They were
- 17:46Speaker 1: together to so I wanted to find a bit of
- 17:48Speaker 1: love Katie. Were rooted for you, and he looks lovely.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Jason an artist ten years younger, very arty, farty. You
- 17:55Speaker 1: can tell by the body language, her arm. She had
- 17:59Speaker 1: her arm on his box from at one point they
- 18:00Speaker 1: were walking down the street. He's the opposite of Tom Cruise,
- 18:04Speaker 1: though I can't the person that likes Jason could not
- 18:07Speaker 1: like Tom. I don't get it. I've got a bit
- 18:09Speaker 1: of a type. I like people who are kind of
- 18:12Speaker 1: similar personality wise as well as physically. Katie Ying and Yang.
- 18:17Speaker 1: It's a big range of God okay, and now I
- 18:20Speaker 1: noticed that, Oh this made me chuckle for the worst
- 18:22Speaker 1: possible reason. It's Alec Baldwin. He did a tribute to
- 18:25Speaker 1: Sam Neil from Jurassic Park and also The Hunt of
- 18:28Speaker 1: Red October. Remember that lover The Hunt for Red October
- 18:31Speaker 1: his pastor away, and so Alec took to social media
- 18:35Speaker 1: to leave a three minute video he mentioned Sam once.
- 18:41Speaker 1: It was all about Alec about his time on that
- 18:47Speaker 1: film and how great he was on.
- 18:48Speaker 3: The film, about making the film, about what a wonderful
- 18:52Speaker 3: film is that stars Alec Baldwin, oh, and then at
- 18:55Speaker 3: the end he mentioned and my friend Sam passed just
- 18:58Speaker 3: they can't help themselves.
- 19:00Speaker 1: They just can't help themselves. Let's end with a moment
- 19:03Speaker 1: of rob We can help ourselves. You get a rub,
- 19:05Speaker 1: you gonna rub, You gona rubb your rub. Failure is
- 19:09Speaker 1: the road to success. That sounds really weird, doesn't it.
- 19:12Speaker 1: But let me explain. The people you admired the most
- 19:15Speaker 1: didn't reach the top because everything went right. No, they
- 19:18Speaker 1: got there because they kept going when everything went wrong.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Things go wrong for everybody, including people at the top.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Failure is not proof that you're not good enough. No,
- 19:29Speaker 1: it's proof that you're trying, that you're growing, that you
- 19:33Speaker 1: were getting closer. Stop seeing your mistakes as dead ends.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I used to do that. Gosh, if something didn't work out,
- 19:40Speaker 1: if I failed, I was like, well that's the end
- 19:41Speaker 1: of that.
- 19:42Speaker 4: No.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Start seeing them as stepping stones. That's what they are.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Keep moving forward, Go over those stones. The next attempt
- 19:51Speaker 1: could be the one that changes everything. I don't know
- 19:54Speaker 1: if you even know this mark. Before we did this podcast,
- 19:56Speaker 1: I had a Royal podcast. It was awful on a
- 19:59Speaker 1: different network. But I needed to do that to be
- 20:01Speaker 1: able to do this. I had a morning show for
- 20:04Speaker 1: three years, every day, live, five days a week. That's
- 20:07Speaker 1: why I'm really good on TV because I put in
- 20:10Speaker 1: the muscle mass. I learned the genre. If you do
- 20:14Speaker 1: something every day, whether it be go for a walk,
- 20:16Speaker 1: or go to the gym, or door a t EV show,
- 20:18Speaker 1: or make a TikTok video or make a podcast, I
- 20:20Speaker 1: promise you not tomorrow, maybe not next month, but next year.
- 20:25Speaker 1: You'll get better at it. If you fail, and you
- 20:28Speaker 1: will keep going. Hey, that is it for today, A
- 20:32Speaker 1: very big biblical day. I say, day Mark. I'm expecting
- 20:37Speaker 1: three wise men to knock on my door at any minute. Yes,
- 20:40Speaker 1: it's the Angel Gabriel flying in Chelsea above twenty fourth Street.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Maybe not. Hey, thank you for all your lovely comments.
- 20:47Speaker 1: It's a really exciting day. I'm so lucky to have you.
- 20:50Speaker 1: That's what makes my life of birthday every single day. Hey,
- 20:54Speaker 1: that is it. Thank you for listening. They're not even
- 20:56Speaker 1: nice with Robert Marksha, a production of Elvis Durant and iHeartRadio.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Check out myself stackropstu dot substack dot com, and also
- 21:02Speaker 1: to my my novels out right now. It started with
- 21:04Speaker 1: a whisper Pick it up if you haven't already, that'd
- 21:07Speaker 1: be a lovely birthday present. And remember, do that that's
- 21:10Speaker 1: a really good idea. Mark, I wasn't. I didn't even
- 21:12Speaker 1: think this through, but now it's just popped over one.
- 21:14Speaker 1: If you want to get me a birthday gift, you might,
- 21:16Speaker 1: thank you very much, buy my book. Take a picture
- 21:18Speaker 1: of yourself with my book and send it me. I'd
- 21:20Speaker 1: love a picture of all the naughties and this book.
- 21:23Speaker 1: And remember, if you're going to renew it, you've got
- 21:26Speaker 1: to bay. Let me tell you that not even nice
- 21:32Speaker 1: with raw
