- 0:00[SPEAKER_02]: That's where we're theness comes in.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_02]: Is like, what can you do?
- 0:03[SPEAKER_02]: Do you need to sit down and write down all the things that you know, who realize you're worthy of asking for that pay raise?
- 0:09[SPEAKER_02]: What is it going to take?
- 0:10[SPEAKER_02]: But you can't ask other people for why you're worthy.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_02]: You have to sit down and do some digging on yourself.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to the Beat till you see it podcast, where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'm also Logan, prize instructor and fitness business coach.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: I've trained thousands of people around the world, and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_02]: My friends, action brings clarity.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_02]: and it's the antidote to fear.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_02]: Each week my guess will bring bold, executable, intrinsic, and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it till you see it.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back to the beat till you see it in every recap on my co-host and life, Brad and I are going to dig into the worthwhile combo.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_02]: I had with Margo McNal in our last episode.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, also like glitter, like sparkle, like... Like a big thing.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like a seed, or a penis, worthwhile, worthwhile.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_02]: In our last episode, if you think yet, listen that interview, feel free to pause this now and listen to that one, then come back and listen this one, listen to this one, the cliff notes, and then see if you like what we like.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_02]: And listen that one, you're going to want to listen to it, that was pretty cool.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, today is... Quite interesting.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah, it's a fun episode.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_03]: Who would have thought?
- 1:30[SPEAKER_03]: Why would have that episode?
- 1:31[SPEAKER_03]: But we did.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_03]: Now people are like, what is the episode?
- 1:35[SPEAKER_02]: Anyways, so today is, so today is July, twenty-fourth, twenty-five, and it's international self-care day.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_02]: Kind of boignant topic.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it really is.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_02]: This is something I literally get every single morning when I go on a walk.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_02]: I shouldn't say everything morning because like,
- 1:51[SPEAKER_02]: with this sinus infection.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_02]: If you haven't heard it yet, you'll pick up on it a little bit.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't think I look amazing in the morning nor do I sound great.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_02]: So I haven't been like, you need to go on a walk.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_02]: But if there's something I preach about every single day, it is self care.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_02]: So this is your day.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_02]: This is your holiday.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: Just buy yourself a ring.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I mean, it's your day to self care.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_02]: Self care.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: International self-care day is celebrated on July, twenty-fourth, and I would actually call a guy in a year-self-a-ring just like a reward, or something worth doing, but self-care is actually free usually.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's the rest of the importance of self-care as a cornerstone of wellness on this day.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_02]: Individuals throughout the world are encouraged to make self-care as part of their date every day routines, entering into a priority.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_02]: It is a milestone in an opportunity to raise further awareness of the benefits and effectiveness of self-management of health.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: That's what self-care is.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_02]: Self-management of health.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: I love that.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: That is so great as opposed to like self-care, self-care, it's literally self-management of your fucking health.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_02]: My mind is blown.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_02]: Self-care has always been incredibly important, but especially now as people realize they need to take care of themselves and put themselves first.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: This is maybe people talk about and increase the interest of others to take control of their health and wellness by prioritizing themselves.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_02]: Today we urge you to practice self-care even if all you do is take a walk.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: Self-care, the reason I say it's mostly free, because most of the things you can do for self-care is prioritize your sleep, your water intake, how you fuel yourself that you're dropping food, are you giving yourself food that makes you feel really awesome, giving yourself food that makes you feel like shit.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_02]: Right, every time, and I'm not saying food is good or bad, like when we have the ambientity episode, like we talk about that, but like there are foods that aren't serving you.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_02]: Whether or not they're considered healthier and healthier, I don't care.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_02]: Whether or not serving you.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_02]: So are you feeling yourself, right?
- 3:42[SPEAKER_02]: Are you surrounding yourself with people who make you feel better about yourself?
- 3:46[SPEAKER_02]: That's self care, right?
- 3:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like literally saying no to a friend and your friend just throw back one last week.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like or not, that's self care, right?
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe it's about your phone and do not stir up that self care.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's tons of things are self-gather free.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_02]: Spodays, not self-care.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_02]: That is just something you get to do because it feels good.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: And you deserve it.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: But it's to me.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: I like that distinction because I think most of, I mean, for me, too, I've thought about like, oh, self-care.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: I gotta go do something for myself, which means spending money.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: And it doesn't necessarily have to be that way.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_02]: No, going for a walk around the block is self-care.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: Or, you know, when you're feeling that afternoon slump, go do a handstand for four seconds at the wall and get some blood flow to your head and that self-care.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: You know, getting some vitamin D by sitting in the sun in the morning.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: That self-care.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: So, doesn't have to involve spending money.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: Well, here's what we got coming up.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: Agency, many from profitable parties just closed every last couple of days.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: What an amazing event.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not gonna lie.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's a really great people.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I like that we changed it and it was shorter.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I think it for everyone because the biggest problem we have with this is like why, you know, it'd be a tell you see a podcast we talk about like you get better every time we do something.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_02]: And so agency many sort of lebath time doing it.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it evolved every single time it evolved and then the last three or four times we're like, we have it dialed in, we have it nailed down.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_02]: Everything is good.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: But the one piece of feedback that we used to get that we could never solve was like,
- 5:17[SPEAKER_02]: the overwhelm and we'd always tell people don't don't take in everything like just take in what you need.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: But the problem is as people have phoma.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we expect this in like, don't worry agency isn't like agency.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: Many agency mini was chaos in like a whirlwind and agency actually and you know, but like stuff to say that.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: So we were like, this is there's it's not aligned.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's not like so because of our new tools, we have an agency because of our new app, all these different things.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we have an app.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_02]: It made it easier for us to make agency many, many version of agency without the overwhelm, and it was super fun to help people.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: And now it went to agency members and it's just super great.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm excited for you guys.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_02]: Can't we do work with you guys?
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: And we literally leave tomorrow.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: We're going on tour, y'all.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: Are we leaving today?
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: No, we leave now.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're leaving today.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, we're leaving tonight.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: You tell me right.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have the twenty-fifth as the first one.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the tour, but.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: But we actually drive out tonight.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_02]: Clearly, we recorded this early.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_02]: We're on the road.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: We're on the road.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, we're not on the road just yet.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: Business jobs in the morning.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be up.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: Leave it to them.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_02]: They could be listening to it tonight.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_02]: So because we're on the road.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we see dot me slash tours where you can get tickets because it's not too late.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: We're having to feed it.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_02]: Some cities are too late, but it's not too late to sign up.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: You can as long as there's room.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_02]: You can sign up and also the Calgary stop is a virtual stop.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: There are two virtual workshops in Calgary.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: You go to opc.me slash Calgary for that.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I'll be seeing how many such tours all fifteen cities.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's really going quite amazing.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_02]: We've three cities in Canada.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_02]: Of course Vancouver is way sold out.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: Super.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_02]: At the time of recording this, Cam loops only has space in the workshop, and not a lot.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_02]: And Calgary has room in all of its goodness.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm including the virtual spots.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_02]: We did limit how many people could be at the virtual as well.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_02]: So just because it's virtual doesn't mean everyone can attend.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_02]: We kept it quiet, kept it small.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_02]: So you can have a great experience.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_02]: So go to opc.me, such tour, I want to see you.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_02]: And then we come home, unpack, and change out the suitcases because now and clean up the van.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: Because we're home for like a week and a half.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_02]: We can have and then we go to.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to go to Scotland.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to leave my dad in Scotland.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to head down into the into Britain.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to teach in Essex and Lee in England.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: I guess we'll call Britain.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think Great Britain is all of it.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: And England is.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's really quite complicated.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's really annoying.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say as England is correct, you're absolutely right.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_02]: I got little stuck.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_02]: I was watching the Hamilton King George thing is song and I think I just got stuck, you know.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_02]: Um, it's one of the best songs that's too bad.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's about him.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_02]: We'll be back.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_02]: You'll be back.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_02]: So anyways, so anyways, we'll go down into England.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_02]: Excuse me.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_02]: Somehow I'm supposed to drive on the opposite side of the road that I'm used to and we'll see how that goes.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: to create no one no turns please so we're gonna go to Essex we have a Tuesday at a Wednesday workshop and work out situation going on to go buy day passes or two day pass you'll save my two pass and then we're gonna go up to leads let's our second time in leads we only have a couple spots left there and then we're gonna get back up to Scotland grab my dad for his like I don't know adventures he's going on himself and fly home
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: There's a coffee shop in Leeds that I'm very excited about.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, the guy who makes a seven minute long latte.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, the guy.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the guy.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: I really hope he's still there.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think he is.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to Claire.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_02]: He still is.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: Well, very excited because that's going to be awesome.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, you guys is one of the best lattes.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: It is a small cup I have ever seen.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: have espresso and milk in it and it's like scientific coffee it took them so long I was like I need a cup of coffee made one tasted it and dumped it and started over for me I was like what was wrong with that one he's like it was it didn't it didn't settle it wasn't the right flavor it was burnt so whatever the heck it was yeah it was like no I'm not serving it we're not even a great doll because we don't even know the name of the place but you know what if you come to Leeds, Brad will take you I'll take you
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so obc.ms.uk to snag your spots there.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: Then we come home.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_02]: Our besties are visiting us from Florida.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_02]: We are going to unpack the cold weather clothes we took and put hot weather clothes back in a suitcase and be in Cambodia.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god, I can't wait for the humidity to be on the skin after all of the summer tour and UK like no offense, but like I
- 9:43[SPEAKER_02]: I live for humidity.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_02]: Like I, everyone, I love a dry heat.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_02]: You have no idea what you're talking about.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: Pumid heat is way better for your skin, for the youthfulness, for your hit.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_02]: Everything is better.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_02]: So, closeness retreats.com.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_02]: If you would like to have humidity on your skin and spend time with us in an epic place, see the temples, come to our house, do pull bodies.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: Take a break from all the chaos.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_02]: Bigger out yourself, care routine.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_02]: I will help you with that.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_02]: I will help you bring out your dream schedule.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_02]: Anyways, before we get into the amazing episode with Margot, we have an audience question.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: We should do two questions actually from Caroline on IG.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Caroline, for asking number one is, hi, can you recommend a great pair of honey, undies, for Pilates or leggings?
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: I read this before and forgot.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: I always notice a print when I get off my reformer.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: I can't, Caroline.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: I know someone who can.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, we remember when we got this question on YouTube, we're like, do we go live about this?
- 10:52[SPEAKER_02]: And like, oh my god, what weirdos are going to show up for the live?
- 10:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's like my favorite underwear for Pilates.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_02]: So here's the thing, I like Eb y. They have a type of underwear that is all the more wicking.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_02]: We have a right.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: We have a video.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know how to find it, so I just went to YouTube and I searched Leslie Logan underwear and the video comes up.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_02]: Perfect.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: Perfect.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: Perfect.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: I wish they had millions of views, it probably doesn't, but anyways, so I like those because they're nice and thin under my leggings, so they don't leave a mark.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what I'm walking around, you can't see my underwear, which is like a big deal to me.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know why we are obsessed with this, but I'm obsessed with people not seeing the outline of my underwear, probably from security culture life.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_02]: I have no idea.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_02]: Anyways, the other thing that I like it is, if ladies, you don't know this, but if you're underwork covers your butt, and then you put leggings on it, that is why you're losing your pants on stomach massage.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_02]: I like that also, you know, the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and the wits and
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: What did you say?
- 12:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're called EBY.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: And they're from EBY underwear.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's the company.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's EBY women's seamless.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_02]: That's the one I like.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to put a link in the show notes for that.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, oh, they're having a sale.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_02]: I should get some more.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks, girl.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks, Caroline.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_02]: She had another question though.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Caroline had a second question.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: She said, hey, do you have a chic plate that you recommend?
- 12:42[SPEAKER_02]: I do will put it.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: I had a feeling.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_02]: We'll put a link in the show notes because I don't know the brand name to be honest, but I love this thing.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_02]: I get on mine.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: It also wasn't like outrageously expensive.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't not.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: But it also wasn't like a million dollars.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's like it ranges from like a little over a hundred to about a hundred and fifty and I think depends on the color or the time of year.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_02]: But like honestly, it, it's something that if I'm like,
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's talk about what is a shake button and why do you do it?
- 13:13[SPEAKER_02]: So it kind of is a shake plate is kind of like a spin on the power plate.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_02]: Power plate would be the brand and power plates.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_02]: I have experienced those big metals.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: So we're looking like two and a half feet wide.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: You do a handstand on those.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_02]: You can do some great stretch of the nose.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_02]: My trainers at Equinox will like go here and do your pigeon stretch and it like would really help with my running help over my hips.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, sure.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know all this.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the you guys in all of the scientific facts around it, but like I can say that
- 13:39[SPEAKER_02]: Powerplates are really, really epic and they can like turn your muscles on and off in such a way that it's like a full workout.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, in Vegas, there's a place called vibe twenty eight.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: That's literally workouts on a power plate.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like they even do like a meditation class on them.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_02]: So you like just do different stretches on them.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's really quite cool.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_02]: I will say, they may even put a like a band, a booty band around my legs and do squats on that thing.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, oh my god, I thought I was in shape.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, it's like intense.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_02]: And you, that's, there's really like only twenty eight minutes.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: You definitely don't want to work out longer than that.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: So it can be really effective.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_02]: The reason I got one is because it can also be really good for lymphatic drainage and
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: It's really good for balance and stability.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: And so I have my ankles are really hypermobile and my muscles around my knees have been really hard for me to like turn on.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_02]: And so I got one because you can stand on it and I swear it's doing something for lymphatic drainage.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like my girlfriend's and I just like live by that.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_02]: I have another girlfriend who like
- 14:48[SPEAKER_02]: had some back stuff and she just put it on like the lowest level and sat on it and her back felt better so like that that's amazing so anyways I get on mine and I literally will like do slack for fifteen minutes or I'll read all read a book yes I can read a book while shaking I'm also very tall I could like my arms aren't shaking the rest of me is
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: I play a video game on there.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_02]: On my days where I don't want to work out, but I've got time on my hands.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: I get on there and I do it.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes I just put my legs on it, and it feels really good.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_02]: I have a literally googled multiple times.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_02]: Is standing on my shape plate at all beneficial in the answers?
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_02]: Now, of course, it's more beneficial if you do like a plank or a squat, but I play around my different foot positions, and my ankles are much more stable.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: My medial quad is actually turning on.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's been really fun for my lymphatic drainage around my center.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: So I love my shake plate.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_02]: Big fan.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, total.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so anyways, and it doesn't take a lot of space.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: One of my girlfriends lives in like a tiny like studio apartment.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_02]: My got one.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_02]: And she's like, I do it twice a day every day.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_03]: So some of us now like do like we like take pictures of ourselves and she's like I'm on my own mind.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_03]: So now it's like a little club.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's funny.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's fun.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: I've even done it too.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_00]: I do enjoy it.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: It definitely first time you do it, you're gonna be a little bit like
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: Numb getting off of it afterwards.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: Don't turn it up that high.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_02]: There's programs and literally start with the first program and also a little side note that I would do.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, Oh, every day I'm just gonna do the next program up.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_02]: That is not how you get used to it.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_02]: I recommend like doing program one for a few days and program two for a few days because I made my so as is so fucking sore.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_03]: I had a stretch.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: So, well anyway, Caroline, we'll put that link.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: in the show notes.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: So you can check it out.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, look, if you have a question at all for anything or about anything or whatever, go to beitpod.com slash questions.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, see how much it's a podcast.com slash questions and you can leave us a question or a win.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: So if you want to be featured on the FYFs for Friday's episodes, your win could be that you bought yourself a shake plate and you did your first fifteen minutes of self care on it.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: All right, we'll stick around.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk to talk about Margo McNal and just a minute.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: All right, welcome back.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: Let's talk about Margo McNal.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: Margo is the founder of store by Margo.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: A bespoke fine jewelry company born from her own journey of designing her engagement ring in India with no formal background in jewelry design.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_00]: She turned her natural eye and personal experience into a thriving business helping women create meaningful, deeply personal
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: pieces.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: Today, her work centers are on empowering women to own their worth, often through designing their own legacy jewelry that tells their story.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what most of the episode was actually about was about worth and worth in this.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, why you would buy a ring for yourself and conversations that happened in the home, you know, in a family, usually a married couple.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it was interesting.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: I, you know, I thought, I don't know, I've never really
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not really the guy that's out there trying to buy myself a ring, but if I wanted to buy a ring, I would probably save up the money and go by the ring.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, that's not how the conversation traditional goes.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_02]: No, I mean, also like, even while the ring that the beautiful ring I have, I literally told someone to tell you.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea what you said.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_02]: My engagement ring.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_02]: You got me.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_02]: I made sure people my life knew what I wanted because we well because you had said don't talk to me about getting married.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_02]: So I was like, well, how am I going to tell him about the ring I want if I don't can't talk to any Mary.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_02]: So I just made sure all of my friends who you knew knew which ring I wanted to.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember that that's how the story went.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_02]: But no, the story goes to you ask my friend for my ring size.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: He said, oh, I can tell you what rings.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because he had it from like a year before.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_02]: So anyways, I knew what I wanted.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_02]: The point is around here, we just buy the ourselves the thing we want, but I do have tons of friends who won't put a ring on their, they're wedding ring finger because they, that's saving it for that or they, they, they want something, but then they, they compromise or they don't have the, it's a whole thing.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_02]: And so she's just a big person like,
- 19:11[SPEAKER_02]: by the thing that you want and by the ring that you want and that because you're worthy of it and not waiting for a partner or waiting for external people to tell other people outside of you to tell you what what ring you should have or what your worth or things like that.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's really cool and I also she said she was observing that women often started to buy fine joy for themselves not because of money.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_02]: But because they don't feel like they're worthy of it.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_02]: Because like you said, I would just save with money and go get it.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of people will save up the money and then feel bad about like that they're not like, oh, I shouldn't have spent all that money on that thing.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_00]: This like, like, I mean, I get that, you know, like, I definitely understand that.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I saved up money for a pair of glasses.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_00]: that I was like, wow, these are really expensive.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I literally wear them every day now and I'm like proud of myself for doing it.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't feel like you feel good.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: I like them.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I love our car.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: It feels really cool to be in that car.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: I feel very worthy of that car.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like now we had to say about for it.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_02]: We had to wait like it was an expense.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_02]: But like,
- 20:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think I've waited ten fucking years.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_02]: I fucking did.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I did.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: But I I wanted to have her on because I actually feel like we have a lot of listeners who are that person who has the has saved up the money or does have it and and maybe feels a little guilty.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_02]: Like, oh, I should be spending on me.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_02]: It should be spending on the kids or I should be I should be doing X or should be doing wine.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, you know, if you say to that money one time, we probably could do it again.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_02]: And you could probably spend on them.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_02]: Then that time, but
- 20:39[SPEAKER_02]: So she, she reflected on her own deeper journey and that she, maybe like while she was wearing her business, she was going through her own journey of self-doubt and realizing of self-worth.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_02]: And so she had to go into it and realize, where do I feel like, how do I feel about my worth?
- 20:54[SPEAKER_02]: And so I also thought that this is really cool because oftentimes it doesn't have to do with the ring.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_02]: If you don't feel worthy, it's going to translate in other areas of your life.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: And nothing but the ring.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know, when she's talking about, I think the conclusion of the word, the conversation was, it was an interesting back and forth between you and her about your experience working in retail, in jewelry, and seeing how couples would come in, and obviously they influence each other, but not just couples.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_00]: like friends.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_00]: And then the person who wanted the one was doing the shopping would be influenced by the friend.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe the thing, like, and the friend might not have self worth.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: So then they're, you know, projecting their insecurity on the decision making process.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: And it could talk someone out of doing something that they were trying to do for themselves.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_00]: And so what I thought was neat about her thing was she said, you know, the only person that's going to make you feel where these
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: You.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's such a thing.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_00]: But it also makes me, you know, like, is there an exercise?
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: How do we do that?
- 22:08[SPEAKER_00]: How do we feel worthy?
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: How do we help ourselves feel worthy?
- 22:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's really interesting question.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think like also part of it is going back to like a Nicole Mitchell, you know, like it's like putting posts it around your, your house.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_02]: Like I am worthy of liking things.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_02]: I am worthy of having this.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_02]: I am worthy of
- 22:29[SPEAKER_02]: reaching the goals that I want to have.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like it doesn't have to be on worthy of the stuff I want to buy.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_02]: Put it on.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm worthy of get seven hours of sleep.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_02]: I'm worthy of hundred grams of protein.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm worthy of saying no to people coming over on Tuesday night.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'm worthy of my time.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_02]: So start with that.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_00]: So we're not having dinner with them.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_00]: just kidding.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_02]: But like I think I think it comes from actually saying it out loud and saying it around things you can't have cognitive dissonance around.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_02]: So like if buying yourself expensive sunglasses or car or whatever is feels a dissonance to you, you have stuff that you still have to unpack and work through, then start with something smaller.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'm worthy of eight glasses of water a day.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: I am worthy of a pay race.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like this is actually, you know, one of the things that that I really that resonated a lot with me is a topic that I get the chance to talk about a lot, which is money.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: And money when especially with Pilates instructors, there's this weird stigma that Pilates is expensive.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_00]: So you must be taking advantage of people when you're teaching.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: And then we shame ourselves into being like, you know, I only teach a few hours a week.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not that much money I'm making and we have this weird upside down perspective of, you know, the industry that we're in, the people that we serve, what we're doing, how much time and money we invested in getting trained, all the stuff and then we adopt this strange mindset around the income that we're making.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: And so I've had this really interesting opportunity over the last year to talk about money on a consistent basis through a webinar that I've been hosting.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: And unobashedly talk about the desire to get more money, to make more money.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: But not be weird about it, right?
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: We're not out there championing money for the sake of money.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's not the point.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: One of the things that I really enjoyed.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_00]: is in this, the webinar is actually future casting, right?
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: So take it a moment, closing our eyes and actually thinking down the road, right?
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: When we talk about money in these webinars, I actually talk about something that's like scarily
- 24:41[SPEAKER_00]: like almost like it feels scary to even be willing to dream about it.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's about doubling your money, doubling your income.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: So like let's say you're making thirty five thousand dollars a year, could you make seventy thousand dollars a year with Pilates?
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and the answer is yes, you could, but why?
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: Why would you want to do that, right?
- 24:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the glib and the obvious answer is because I can get more money, but that's not the point.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: The point is what are you going to do with that money?
- 25:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_00]: And then what are we doing with that?
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like how is that helping us shift
- 25:11[SPEAKER_02]: our life to be better and more enjoyable like we it puts us in a position to go do something else that we want to do yeah I mean like because if you I mean to go back to that the worthiness of it's like okay I want to make seventy thousand dollars because but well why so I want to be able to pay for my kid to go to summer camp I want to be able to have
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: Money and savings.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_02]: I want to be able to do X, Y and see.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_02]: I want to donate to this thing.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_02]: I want to do this thing, right?
- 25:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: So then it's not that.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: Or even it could be I want to create a life for myself that allows me.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: a breather a break.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I don't have to be going ninety miles and I think if we were all to say, I am worthy of having a life that gives me a break.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what it selfishness about that.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: So like, yeah, and the same vein, you know, let's translate that over to buying things.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_00]: Why do we buy things, right?
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: Why do we buy a nice car?
- 26:10[SPEAKER_00]: Why do we, you know,
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, put in a pool.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: Why do we buy fancy sunglasses that cost five hundred dollars?
- 26:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, which seems like absurd.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_00]: You can buy a same pair of sunglasses for twelve dollars.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: Why do we do that?
- 26:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like, like, how do we do that and justify that without, you know, feeling like an asshole, right?
- 26:29[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think the interesting word there is justified on thinking when I think that well, there's a story we tell ourselves in our head, right?
- 26:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that it's like, especially if we don't feel worthy of it,
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: then we're justified.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_00]: Then we're justified.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but if you feel where you don't have to just find anything, because it goes to the person goes, oh, it must be nice.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_02]: And the response, the only response to it must be nice is it really is.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_02]: It is.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_02]: It is.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_02]: Because we have to, we, that has been trained into people for years and years to keep you poor.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_02]: That's what it is.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_02]: Every time someone has told their kids that, but it's a grown trees.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: When you say it's paying earned, you know, you like the justification of things, that is to keep you playing small.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_02]: If you play small,
- 27:14[SPEAKER_02]: then they're then the rich can keep eating richer off of you playing small of you not demanding the pay raise of you not charging your actual worth because by the way for the plies and search for who are listening I just had a huge talk on both in AR agency office hours and the next day instead of elevate and I was like on a pedestal I couldn't get off of that and I was like you'll have to have some courage and conviction like most of the problems that
- 27:39[SPEAKER_02]: This goes for anyone to be a positive, is you don't realize all the hours.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_02]: You haven't sat down and counted all the hours.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: Of all the time you spent learning what you do, train on what you do, practicing what you do, teaching what you do.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_02]: And you're thinking, oh, I'm pricing something for the fifty-five minutes.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm teaching them.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_02]: Know you're not.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_02]: That price is based on your entire past.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_02]: building up to it and by the way, the future you're giving them.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's what that session that the present that they're paying for.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's for your expertise and what they get in the future.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's where we're doing this comes in is like, what can you do?
- 28:18[SPEAKER_02]: Do you need to sit down and write down all the things that you know?
- 28:21[SPEAKER_02]: You're realize you're worthy of asking for that pay raise.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: What is it going to take?
- 28:25[SPEAKER_02]: But you can't ask other people for why you're worthy.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_02]: You have to sit down and do some digging on yourself.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: This has to come from inside you.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: And it has and and the external stuff and the ring or the car, whatever.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: That's later because some people like material things and some people don't.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: According to my astrology signs, I like material things and I don't disagree with that.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but honestly, the thing here's the thing.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's okay to like material things.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's okay.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: We're allowed to do it.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, you know, we feel guilty about it because of for me, it was the way I was raised, right?
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: Is that, you know, the money mindset element of it.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_00]: And so like buying something really expensive was always out of the question.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_00]: It was never even considered.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_00]: Right, ever.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_00]: But like with with the ring,
- 29:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if you want, if it's like something that is going, that means something to you, it's kind of like we're talking about tattoos.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if there is a sentimental association with it, you know, and it's a goal you achieved in your life.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like we've, we've, we've a friend we've mentioned before when she wins a case.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, she buys a purse or buys the glasses or he buys the thing.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: And she says, you know, and here's ironically her dad not not shaming him, but his response is always like you still spent the money to buy the thing.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: And also, she doesn't get a pay raise when she wins.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: She's not like she's getting a pay raise.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: She could pay the same amount as she wins or loses.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: She, she, like, she's like, when I, when this case goes, when it, when the case glutes, then I get to buy the thing.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: And, and I think it's great.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, they're like milestones of her life.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: You know?
- 30:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: I, I, I really agree.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_02]: And I just want to like go on this one thing.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: When it comes to some of the material possessions, especially a piece of jewelry.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_02]: That is something that when you're wearing it every day, so it's a physical reminder of why you thought you're worthy of that.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_02]: And then too, in Margot talked about this, you do often give it to someone.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_02]: Like we don't have children, but I imagine Ella will like all of my jewelry.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_03]: If Marin has a daughter, we'll have to figure it out.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_03]: But like, I imagine that like, like, Arnie's L.S., she likes to wear pretty princess stuff.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_03]: I imagine she'll like fight.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_00]: I have a film.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure she will.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_00]: Well, thanks for going down that journey with us here.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: Stick around.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to dig into some beat action items.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_00]: that you discussed with Margo McNell.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: Right here, let's talk about those be it action items, what bold, executable intrinsic or targeted action items can we take away from your combo with Margo McNell?
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: Don't give up on yourself, she said, right?
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: To go through what you need to go through, to go through, to be that strong, that successful, that whatever, you have to go through some pretty dark valleys, right?
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just like,
- 31:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's just kind of inherently built into life.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: We all know this, right?
- 31:23[SPEAKER_00]: But don't give up.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: Don't give up on yourself.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_00]: She said, look at things in a way that other people maybe they don't want to.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's easier not to dig into these things to look at these things.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_00]: But then you're going to come out and if you give up, right, you're going to come out with a less powerful message.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, let's put some actual context into what this vagueness that we're talking about here.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_00]: Don't give up on yourself, right?
- 31:46[SPEAKER_00]: If you, you're a lot of fail.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but if you fail, let's keep going.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_00]: So for example, maybe it is going to better earlier or just getting up earlier or maybe it is
- 31:56[SPEAKER_00]: you know, eating food that is, you know, like, maybe you always skip breakfast and you're like, I want to eat breakfast because I know it's gonna jump, start my metabolism, whatever, right?
- 32:05[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like, okay, like, how do we, how do we do this?
- 32:09[SPEAKER_00]: How do we actually make this habit, create this habit?
- 32:12[SPEAKER_00]: And we could talk about habit building later, but, you know, it doesn't have to be this huge epic goal.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_00]: It can be these smaller things.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: And that's actually a great place to start to build that habit.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and if you miss a day,
- 32:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's not failure, you drink eat your breakfast later.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_02]: Start again, celebrate what you thought about it.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what about you?
- 32:30[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so this is really cool.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_02]: This made me think of Joanna, whose last name was escaping me.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_02]: But she was in the second year of the podcast was out.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_02]: And she had to be an action about wearing the shoes.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: Just like by the shoes.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: Joanna White.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_00]: Hannah White.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: Episode one, seventy one.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: nailed it.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: She, oh, I said, by the shoes and wear them, right?
- 32:51[SPEAKER_02]: And so this particular reaction makes you think of that.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_02]: She said, you can take your old jewelry and have it revamped and have it transformed.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_02]: And
- 33:02[SPEAKER_02]: And sometimes it's like the permission that a lot of us need.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, oh, we're not buying a new thing because we have these old things.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_02]: But we're not wearing the old things or we're not as proud old things.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_02]: And you can actually just revamp the old things.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_02]: And now it's new again.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_02]: And so if you have an old thing, you know, like consider revamping it because you are worthy of it.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_00]: Or maybe it was in a family heirloom that's like, you know, cool and amazing in sentimental, but not hip and fun and funky that you'd wear all the time.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you could have something tweaked on that and it would all sudden fit you personality today.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_00]: So love that.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_00]: You have our permission.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: To make changes to things.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_02]: And walk around.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_02]: I am worthy of, I'm worthy of film the blank for yourself.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'm Leslie Logan.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_00]: and I'm Brad Crowell.
