Latest / The Scene Projects / Syke on 'MONOMI', Rap Perspectives, and the Future of Music
Transcript
- 0:16Hi everyone and welcome to the Freshest Sounds podcast with me your host Ross.
- 0:21So today as you can see we've got a special guest so I'm gonna let him introduce himself so
- 0:27take it away.
- 0:28So I'm Syke, 20 year old independent artist just trying to change up the game a little bit
- 0:33for The UK.
- 0:34Nice one.
- 0:36So Syke, what got you into the music that you do?
- 0:40Funny enough it was just for me more than anything it's therapy.
- 0:44At first it all started off as a joke, know, we were all sat in the garden one day watching
- 0:49YouTube, instrumental comes on as an advert, we thought we'd have a laugh, try and get some
- 0:53freestyling out and it went on like that for two weeks and then one day I just thought this
- 0:57stuff actually makes me feel happy.
- 0:59So I started trying and trying, putting wires together, putting lines together.
- 1:03I ended up going into the name Smokey at one point, did 25 tracks there, deleted them all by
- 1:08the end.
- 1:08It was horrific, but it gave me a lot of experience going into my first professional
- 1:12step, which I've made this year.
- 1:13It was a that's where it all kind of started for me.
- 1:17Nice.
- 1:18So what made you change your name anyway?
- 1:23Like, obviously, you've you've gone from one name to another name, haven't you?
- 1:26Yeah.
- 1:27It was Smokey to me.
- 1:28It just didn't have any meaning in it.
- 1:29I just slapped on a name and fought a role with it, you know, but I didn't want to be known for
- 1:33a name I've got no attachments to.
- 1:37So what's the meaning behind your current name now?
- 1:40Well with psych it speaks for itself.
- 1:42It's like a surprise.
- 1:43It's like a shock, you know.
- 1:45It carries its own weight within my music.
- 1:47When you listen to the music itself it also has that aspect of like it's always a trick.
- 1:51There's you never know what to expect with it.
- 1:54That heavily ties into who I am as a person too.
- 1:57I like to keep things on the down low until I need to show the world what I can do, you know.
- 2:02Yeah.
- 2:02So
- 2:03I just I felt like something resonates with this name whereas the first one I just didn't
- 2:06feel like I wanted to be known by it, you know.
- 2:09Yeah, no it's quite interesting to know this as well because like obviously with music artists
- 2:16like yourself as well, obviously they've got names and it's just like where did they come up
- 2:21with the idea for this name?
- 2:22You know what I mean?
- 2:23Is there an actual deeper meaning to the name?
- 2:26Is there a connection like yours?
- 2:28You know, is it just something that they're just picked at random?
- 2:32Know, just like obviously I use I use Boxing Malone as a major reference all the time, so
- 2:38you'll probably hear it on the podcast.
- 2:40Me mention him, but it's the first person that springs to mind when I do this sort of stuff
- 2:45anyway.
- 2:46But obviously a lot of people know his real name's Aaron, but he calls himself Books Alone.
- 2:55Now I'm assuming that it's from the old gangster movies Books Him Alone because
- 3:01obviously he talks a lot about, you know, stuff like that in his music as well.
- 3:07So it's nice to hear like obviously the music artists and how they've come then.
- 3:15With your music as well yeah, like what genre of music would you class it as?
- 3:22Are you quite diverse as well aren't you?
- 3:24This is the problem I'm still trying to place myself in a definite field.
- 3:27For now I know it's definitely rap you know but you listen to the music and it kind of jumps
- 3:32into R and B a little bit it jumps into more like hip hop and a bit of trap.
- 3:36There's It's hard.
- 3:38Like, I kind of hope people can put me in a genre because I struggle, you know.
- 3:43That's open to interpretation.
- 3:44Someone could call me a rap artist, someone could call me an R and B artist.
- 3:47It's, you know, I haven't come to terms on it yet.
- 3:50I'm not sure where I want to stand exactly.
- 3:54Yeah, so I can see you obviously you've got your Spotify as your background screen as well
- 4:00here.
- 4:02So what's your most recent played track that you've got out at the moment?
- 4:09Like what's the highest played as well?
- 4:11No, at the moment the highest played is still MONOMI.
- 4:14I mean MONOMI took off a lot quicker than I thought it was.
- 4:17It was my first professional step into music after all the practice beforehand and I went
- 4:22from submitting it to live streamers on TikTok you might have seen them where you can submit
- 4:26your music and get it listened to by like producers and everything like that and they
- 4:31enjoyed what they were listening to they ended up sticking it on their playlist so on so on
- 4:34and then it kind of started going a little bit worldwide you know not in big numbers but it's
- 4:38all it was starting to get exposure around the world so it's now sat at 2.42 last time I
- 4:44checked and there's over 70 countries that have listened to it which is a big plus you know
- 4:50It's nice to see that that sound resonates with everyone no matter the language or what they
- 4:53understand, they vibe with it and that's all I ever wanted.
- 4:57Yeah.
- 4:58So with that track Moname, what inspired you for the lyrics and everything?
- 5:06Like what inspiration did you get for it?
- 5:10To be honest, I was full of love that day.
- 5:12There's no way to put it.
- 5:14There's no way to put it.
- 5:15I was feeling good and I wanted to write about a life like a high style a higher style of life
- 5:21mixed with love and loyalty so it's all met in one.
- 5:24So like everything we've ever dreamt of we can do it together, you know.
- 5:28As long as you've got my side I've got your side and we can go and do everything we ever
- 5:31wanted.
- 5:32We can go take that holiday, we can go see the sunshine, we can do whatever we want together
- 5:36as long as we stay on that vibe.
- 5:39Yeah, no it's quite interesting to know this stuff as well because I do ask this question
- 5:47quite frequently with other music artists as well, you know, what inspires them to come up
- 5:53with that, you know, these lyrics for a set track or, you know, how do they get into the
- 6:00creative mode as well because it's quite interesting and fascinating to know how the
- 6:06artists minds work as well because you know as someone who doesn't you know produce music like
- 6:13do what you do, know it's like well where do you come up with these you know words and the
- 6:21wordplay and it's just like having such a creative mind as well, do you know what I mean?
- 6:27Yeah, yeah I mean the funny thing with Muna Mia, I wrote that in one hour.
- 6:30I was just feeling cute.
- 6:33I originally had a different track in mind, I had two songs written before, I was supposed to
- 6:38go record them in the studio the next day, but I had a beat laying around that I paid for the
- 6:41full rights for and I thought well I might as well make use of it and the track that I was
- 6:46meant to record was Flipping Pages which just it's a bit of reflection of my life and
- 6:50everything like that and out of nowhere, I just felt this little burst of joy and I was like,
- 6:55alright then, I'm gonna do something a little bit different, hop into the R and B section.
- 6:58And yeah, within within a couple of hours, I was in the studio recording it with a little
- 7:03practice and it worked.
- 7:06So with your music as well, is there anyone who's been a big inspiration into getting new
- 7:15into the music sector as well?
- 7:17100%.
- 7:17So we'll start with the big giant, Santan Dave.
- 7:20I've been following his path for a long, long time and seeing what he's done to have the
- 7:24university knowledge as well as the street knowledge.
- 7:26And no matter what he's gone through, he's always shining, you know, especially now he
- 7:30dropped the new album.
- 7:31Now I've really seen a different side of him and that's pushing me even more.
- 7:34Then we've got a younger rapper who's still doing bits, Songa.
- 7:37You might know Songa?
- 7:39No.
- 7:39I've never heard of him.
- 7:40Oh, okay.
- 7:41He he started off I think it was Black Box where he really kinda went big, but you can
- 7:45hold me to that.
- 7:46I might be wrong, but that's where I found Songa.
- 7:48He was in his youth spitting freestyles and the wordplay there was intense.
- 7:52Like for someone who for me who's just started making music I just fell in love with that
- 7:57moment of how you can write a track and bounce off it you don't even need the instrumental
- 8:00when you've got the flow you know.
- 8:03Yeah.
- 8:03The thing the things them too write about, it's serious, know, it's then it's not bragging rap
- 8:08or anything like that.
- 8:08It's straight true rap and yeah, every time I need a bit of inspiration, I go back over to
- 8:13them all the time.
- 8:15No.
- 8:16Do you know what?
- 8:17It it's quite nice to hear something like that as well.
- 8:19The fact that, you know, it's it's more like truth rap than all this fake gangster wannabe
- 8:27bad boys and, you know, I say this all the time when I talk to music artists it's like I
- 8:34interviewed a music artist called CompreEnder, don't need to have heard of him before, he's
- 8:40really talented and when we was talking, I mentioned it to him.
- 8:44I said, I don't like this stuff where people rap about, you know, like 12 gauge shotguns.
- 8:51I'm gonna run you with a you know, and and the RS threes.
- 8:55And it's like, mate, you've probably never been in an RS RS3 apart from a hired one, do you
- 8:59know what mean?
- 9:00Yeah too right mate, yeah.
- 9:02I like it's just an easy way to music.
- 9:05Like if you want to make it big nowadays it's either a TikTok post or writing about gangster
- 9:10rap when you haven't lived the life, you know.
- 9:11And personally do your thing I respect it if that's the way you want to go but by mine I
- 9:17want to be known for what I feel for what I know and in all my music it's writing about how
- 9:22I feel my emotions and my mistakes and everything like that so at least when they do
- 9:27know me they know me I'm not the person I tried to be, you know.
- 9:32Well, that that's it as well because, like, you know, you're gonna get found out eventually one
- 9:36of these days and, you know, let let's say you, you know, you make it to to the big league and
- 9:44everything, and you're on you're on TV, you're on everything, you're on every single podcast
- 9:49going out there, you're on Joe Rogan's podcast, you know, you're on everything this, this, and
- 9:54that.
- 9:54And then, you know, God forbid you get sent down or something like that, something happens
- 10:01in the music industry and people inside know who you are and they know you as this big
- 10:06gangster, they're gonna step to you.
- 10:10Yeah.
- 10:10You're right.
- 10:11If you can't back what you say, then you're just gonna look like a bit of an idiot, aren't
- 10:16you?
- 10:16Do you know what I mean?
- 10:17Yeah.
- 10:17Guys have worked.
- 10:18Yeah.
- 10:18A 100%.
- 10:19And it's
- 10:20just like, why why big yourself up to be this big great ordeal about yourself when you know
- 10:27it's it's not you?
- 10:29So I really don't understand why people do this sort of stuff and it it really baffles me and
- 10:36like what I've just said then and I'll just reiterate it, it is so nice it coming from
- 10:42another music artist, you know, saying that they prefer to do true rap than all this like,
- 10:48oh, yeah.
- 10:49Bap bap bap.
- 10:50That's you know?
- 10:51Yeah.
- 10:52You're right.
- 10:52You're right.
- 10:54Yeah, and it is harder though.
- 10:56I can admit it is harder to write a true song that you actually resonate with than it is to
- 11:01just go brap brap and then you know spit about some women or cars or whatever, you know.
- 11:06That you can write all day every day, but to write a true song that not only you can feel
- 11:10but everyone around you can feel when they listen to it.
- 11:12You can be set for hours on one little, like, on one verse just trying to get it perfect.
- 11:17Whereas with the newer rap that's coming around now, it's just bang bang bang, make it sound
- 11:22good, get the ad libs on, get everything on, get it in the studio, done, you know.
- 11:26Yeah.
- 11:26It's quick money, but it's not worth it.
- 11:30No.
- 11:30So this is another conversation I had with comprehend as well because, like, you know,
- 11:36when when you're getting stuck with lyrics and stuff like that, you know, you you you can
- 11:40chuck it into AI now these days, and, you know, AI will help you generate stuff or even if you
- 11:46can't be ass writing anything, you know, you can I've done it before just just for just for
- 11:52a laugh.
- 11:53I've got AI software.
- 11:54I have just started into chat gbt.
- 11:57Make me a song about x y and zed.
- 12:00It's given me everything like the like the the hook, verse, chorus, all that stuff.
- 12:08Chuck it into the music app, and within within ten minutes, I've I've got a song there just
- 12:14like that.
- 12:14Do you know what I mean?
- 12:15Yeah.
- 12:16Of course.
- 12:16Yeah.
- 12:17And I've and I said this to Comprehend, I was like, do you not have that fear that AI will
- 12:22take over music artists?
- 12:24Next meeting, you know, we're we're just gonna be listening to the AI simulated music and it's
- 12:29not you know people like yourself and people like Comprehend who have got an absolute talent
- 12:34for the music industry and it's like do you not fear for that sort of stuff?
- 12:40In a sense, in a sense yeah, but at the same time no matter how good AI gets and no matter
- 12:44how good it sounds the human ear will always like another human voice.
- 12:48Like you can always tell the distinct things between a robot singing and a man singing or a
- 12:52woman singing, you know.
- 12:53I've listened to some of the AI music that's rolling out on Spotify and everywhere now.
- 12:57It's good in its own right and it's enjoyable to listen to, but I can always prefer when I
- 13:02hear that raw emotion that's not been programmed, you know.
- 13:05You can't program raw emotion, it's there.
- 13:07So I feel like yes, it's gonna play a major part in a couple years.
- 13:10I don't know when, but in general I don't think we will ever die out in music.
- 13:14There will always be a small community at least that people come to when they want something
- 13:18raw.
- 13:19That no robot can deliver that.
- 13:23Alright.
- 13:24You you are right in saying what you're saying, do know what I mean?
- 13:26It's just like, you know, obviously listening to that raw passionate connection as well, you
- 13:34know, and it's funny that you should say that as well because referring back to Comprehend's
- 13:40interview as well, he said to me that one of his tracks saved someone's life.
- 13:48He had a message on Facebook I think it was, said to me where a guy got in contact with him
- 13:52and said something along those lines of like keep up what you're doing, you saved my life
- 14:01and it was like I didn't think my music would be so powerful as to you know do something like
- 14:06that and it's quite nice to hear something like that do you know what I mean?
- 14:11Yeah of course.
- 14:12And I I think I think all music artists would like that sort of like hope or belief that, you
- 14:19know, whatever they've produced, you know, some sort of the lyrics or whatever it is the song's
- 14:27about, it can either save a relationship, save a marriage, save someone's life, do you know
- 14:33what I mean?
- 14:35Yeah, too right.
- 14:36So with saying that, you know, is there anything that you're currently working on at
- 14:43the moment?
- 14:44Music wise, anything upcoming?
- 14:47Music or have you got anything upcoming?
- 14:49Have you got any gigs, any features?
- 14:52No, I'm still looking for features and gigs and open mic events.
- 14:55Unfortunately I'm not taking that step just yet but I've got a new song in the works which I'm
- 14:59looking at dropping next month.
- 15:01It's gonna be on a similar vibe to one of me, similar vibe.
- 15:04I saw that people were interested I'm gonna go back in that end once more and depending on the
- 15:10outcome of that I'm gonna try my best to promote it, do my thing as I normally do and if
- 15:15the performance is well which it should be if I do it right if I go in the studio and put it
- 15:19down then next year I'm looking at dropping my first EP which will be my first big push you
- 15:24know.
- 15:24With that EP that's when I start looking at networking and collaborations and getting a
- 15:30small venue at least if I get enough reputation, a good enough audience, get a small
- 15:34venue going and start getting my voice out organically not just in front of a camera or
- 15:38microphone or always digital.
- 15:40Want to also just connect with the people that know me as well.
- 15:44Yeah.
- 15:44You know for now it's a steady process, a lot of it's on the down low and yeah, it's all in
- 15:49the planning stage for now.
- 15:51You know, next year's a good time to really push, know, really get it in there because I'm
- 15:56starting to see the hype going up and I need to seize on that now before it starts falling back
- 16:00down again.
- 16:02Yeah.
- 16:02Where is it you said that you're based again?
- 16:04Say again, well originally I'm based in The UK.
- 16:07I left The UK in December to go live in Germany for a little bit.
- 16:10So I'm currently overseas.
- 16:12I found a really good producer here, Christian Lance.
- 16:15He does bits, you know.
- 16:17He come in, yeah, he's still money man, but he's not there for your money.
- 16:22We can sit there for hours, get charged for a couple after having a chat and everything, and
- 16:26he's always about the sound.
- 16:27We can sit and do it 100 times until we're definitely sure that it's the right sound for
- 16:31the music and everything and proper patient guy.
- 16:35So I moved in for the opportunities more than anything.
- 16:38Yeah, no well that's a really good thing to have that as well on your side because you
- 16:44know, some producers will just be like, oh, screw this.
- 16:47I'm just gonna be here for his money and everything.
- 16:49Take take your money.
- 16:51You do you do one take in the studio and it's like, oh, well, if you want any more, it's,
- 16:56extra, it's going to cost extra.
- 16:58Whereas for me this person that you just mentioned then, obviously he seems more genuine
- 17:04and everything and it's just like well no I'm not happy with that and if you're not happy
- 17:09with it you can both agree or disagree with whatever and be like right let's run it again,
- 17:14let's run it again and again.
- 17:15Yeah
- 17:17well this is what music should be you know.
- 17:19Yes we've all got money to make, yes we've all got a career to start, but at the end of the
- 17:22day music's a community.
- 17:23Like even with producers, artists, no matter what it is, we've all got to stick together.
- 17:29The money will come anyway but in the meantime we just got to work around it and if you love
- 17:32what you do it shouldn't even concern money, you know, it will come.
- 17:37No yeah, again it's the stuff that you're saying I've already had conversations
- 17:43previously with other people, know, not just for obviously this podcast that we're doing
- 17:49now, but from a new podcast that I've just started doing and you know money will come in
- 17:57time if you're all about the money like what you just said then, know it's not going to
- 18:01happen, but if you're more doing it for the passion and everything and, you know, for a
- 18:08community sort of stuff, then in time the money will come when something else.
- 18:14Do you know what I mean?
- 18:14Like, you know, you've got what 100 monthly listeners obviously I can see on on your screen
- 18:21there.
- 18:22Yeah.
- 18:22You know, in time that will grow and then you'll get more and more and more recognised
- 18:27and eventually, you know, you'll get the fame building up and you'll start you'll start
- 18:33getting the gigs and open mic nights.
- 18:35You might even start someone might even get in contact with him and go listen I've heard you
- 18:39track on Spotify and everything I really like it, I want you to come do a gig We'll pay you
- 18:44£50 for a set.
- 18:45Do you know what I mean?
- 18:47That's where it all starts, really.
- 18:48Exactly.
- 18:49You know, it starts off with with the little baby steps up first and then into the big
- 18:54leagues as well.
- 18:55But it's a it's a shame that you're not over in The UK because I could have got you in contact
- 18:59with some people who I know in The UK.
- 19:01Yeah.
- 19:01But it's traveling for you, do you know what I mean?
- 19:05Because obviously I'm based in Manchester in The UK and it's like I know people in Wales,
- 19:16I've got connection called Ben Wales who's based in Wales.
- 19:22He sets up gigs and open mic nights for people like yourselves.
- 19:27And again, it's like as I said, then it's a bit of a shame really that you're in Germany.
- 19:33Obviously, it's a good thing for you.
- 19:35Yeah.
- 19:36But on the flip side, you know, it'd be it'd be better if you was all forever as well because
- 19:41you could do open mic nights, you can do these gigs.
- 19:44I know so many people from doing the podcast, it's like, No worries.
- 19:48Hear this artist.
- 19:49Go connect with them.
- 19:50You know what I mean?
- 19:51You can even connect on Facebook and stuff like that.
- 19:54Maybe, I don't know, try to do a webinar, like live gig or something through social media.
- 20:03That'd be something interesting interesting to do.
- 20:04That'll be something new.
- 20:06I haven't seen one like that before.
- 20:08I like the online cipher.
- 20:11But in general that wouldn't be a problem either.
- 20:13I do get about a lot so I am working as a chef when I'm not doing music and I'm cooking away
- 20:19all the time but throughout the year I'm always travelling back and from to England anyway so
- 20:24should I come down there I can always get in contact with you again and see what we can
- 20:27throw in the works.
- 20:28It's not a stress, you miss a 100% of the chances you don't take so if I can make it
- 20:33there, can make it there.
- 20:34I'll drop what I need to drop for it.
- 20:36Music is where I want to be.
- 20:38Yeah.
- 20:40It's quite interesting to know that as well, you know what I mean?
- 20:45Because you get quite a few artists who are upcomers as well like yourself and you know
- 20:51they'll be like oh well you know I'm just happy in my little lane and everything and not not
- 20:57really want to pursue anything as like as you know not as passionate as yourself, which is
- 21:04which is good to hear as well.
- 21:07So obviously before we do wrap up the episode and everything, I always ask this to the artist
- 21:13if you could give anyone advice who's listening, wants to be an upcoming music artist
- 21:19who's starting in the music industry, what advice would you give them?
- 21:22Okay, well don't over complicate it is what I can say.
- 21:24Take it one step at a time and if you're going feel like you're going to quit one day, it's
- 21:28gonna come.
- 21:28I've had my moments, I've had my fun where I wanted to sell absolutely everything, forget
- 21:32about it and go back to my regular life, but don't do it.
- 21:35Let it saturate, let it sit in you, feel that pain of wanting to carry on but you don't and
- 21:40keep fighting.
- 21:40If you really have the love for what you do, it will come.
- 21:43You just gotta master the craft and by doing that you gotta fail.
- 21:46You have to fail to understand what it's like to fill to win, you know.
- 21:49So any instance, any anywhere you get stuck, don't think that's the end of it and you're not
- 21:54worth it.
- 21:54Even if you make one bad song or a bad album or whatever you do in the world, just make sure
- 21:59you come back and you show up no matter how hard you get hit in the face, you've got to
- 22:03show up, you know.
- 22:04That's just the most you can do really.
- 22:06We're we're all trying to get somewhere.
- 22:08We're all trying to It's do it's really insightful, you know, what you just said then
- 22:14as well.
- 22:16Another thing as well just before we go, is there any socials or anything or any shout outs
- 22:22you'd like to do?
- 22:23Again, I don't come with any shout outs today unfortunately.
- 22:27I want to give you a shout out though for what you're doing.
- 22:29What you're doing is you're opening a portal to new artists like myself and everything like
- 22:33that and putting a voice out there that people need, you know.
- 22:37You're not looking for the biggest of big, you're not looking for the best of the best,
- 22:41you're looking for people with genuine talent.
- 22:43So for that alone, big shout out to you and I hope you get the recognition you deserve
- 22:48likewise, you know.
- 22:50No, thank you.
- 22:50It means a lot, though.
- 22:52What about your you know, your socials, Spotify, any news, any any of the songs that
- 23:00you wanna push out a little bit?
- 23:02Try try out Keep It Calm.
- 23:04Even though people are rocking with one of me, I'm always gonna say Keep It Calm will be my
- 23:08favorite for the time being.
- 23:09You know, the irony of the title as well it's called Keep It Calm but when you're listening
- 23:12to it you're doing everything but keeping calm, you know.
- 23:16If you're having a bad day or whatever or even if you just want to feel hyped that's the song
- 23:19for you or if you're feeling romantic like I said or feeling cute try out Mono Me or just
- 23:24have a listen to all of them.
- 23:25I've left three of my old tracks though.
- 23:27Deleted all the old ones but I've left three of them so even when I am further down the road
- 23:31with my music you can come and listen to those old tracks just to really see what I mean by no
- 23:35matter how hard it is and how bad you get and everything like that you can always get better.
- 23:39So check out everything, see the progress from every song going up, how it changes and for me
- 23:45it's just a constantly improving mindset.
- 23:47So yeah, try them all out.
- 23:50Give it a go.
- 23:52Right, well we'll make sure we do that and what I'll do as well is I will add Monomy into the
- 24:00episode as well so people can listen to it for you as well, yeah?
- 24:05Mashing buddy, thank you.
- 24:06It's been a really good time, thank you for your time
- 24:09Yeah take it you too, cheers.
- 24:11I hope to see you on the come up.
- 24:12Yeah thank you.
- 24:14Bye mate.
- 24:15Bye.
- 24:21And it's psych.
- 24:22Listen.
- 24:33I hope that you've got time because if you got time, what you're doing with the wrong guy?
- 24:37We can take a trip around the boat and enjoy the sunshine.
- 24:39Good vibes with you love and the life have been chased.
- 24:42Champagne toast, no
- 25:11Not even the fact that you wanted me.
- 25:14It's the calm in your chaos that's taunting me.
- 25:16Yeah.
- 25:17Monami.
- 25:18It's not just the things that you wanna see.
- 25:20Not even the fact that you wanted me.
- 25:22It's the calm in your chaos that's taunting me.
- 25:25Yeah.
- 25:25You can laugh like you know the game.
- 25:28Pass up on me and find another way.
- 25:30What should I go do today?
- 25:31Might hop on a cruise today.
- 25:33Two ticks for the shoes again.
- 25:34New drip making moves again.
- 25:36No distractions.
- 25:37I've got moves to make.
- 25:38I'm moving endlessly.
- 25:39And the playlist load got the window breeze with you next to me.
- 25:42Be my ecstasy.
- 25:43Mona me.
- 25:44It's not just the things that you wanna see.
- 25:46Not even the fact that you wanted me.
- 25:48It's the calm in your chaos that's taunting me.
- 25:51Yeah.
- 25:52Mona me.
- 25:53It's not just the things that you wanna see, not even the fact that you wanted me.
- 25:57It's the calm in your chaos that's taunting me.
- 26:00Yo.
- 26:01Say I'm too much, that's the point in it.
- 26:03And you need a man not avoiding it.
- 26:05No time for an enemy.
- 26:07Only ride if your vibe gets to be like a melody.
- 26:09No jealousy.
- 26:10I ride till I die and that's legacy.
- 26:12Cold love for the few standing next to me.
- 26:15And you do your best, there's no test in me.
- 26:18I'll give you trust, just don't break it.
- 26:20Bass from the speakers, go crazy and shake it.
- 26:22Big mood, no chat, just motion.
- 26:24Waves in my lane and I glide like an ocean.
- 26:27Keep peace, no time for commotion.
- 26:29Master my craft without drinking a potion.
- 26:31Pay the right price for Mona me.
- 26:45It's not just the brush or the chemistry, not even the heat when you're next to me.
- 26:50It's the still in your storm that feels home to me, and it's home to me.
- 26:53And it's home to me.
- 26:54And me.
- 26:55And
