- 1:18Speaker 3: and they went a whist So, yeah, it's too bad,
- 1:21Speaker 3: but what did you expect. It's a podcast call twenty
- 1:25Speaker 3: five whistles.
- 1:29Speaker 1: All right, welcome to the show. Blow the whistle. Okay.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I'm trying to order some food, okay, And I have
- 1:35Speaker 1: this Mexican restaurant that I like here in town, and
- 1:38Speaker 1: I like to order drinks. I like a lot of drinks.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I'm a big drink guy. If I'm ordering food, I'll
- 1:44Speaker 1: i'm sample in the array of drinks. And now I'm
- 1:47Speaker 1: not talking about like sodas, but if they have any
- 1:49Speaker 1: kind of specialty drink, I'm getting it.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Oh, I was Friscus what that is? You know what
- 1:54Speaker 4: that is? I was Frescos fresh fresh water. But it's like, uh,
- 1:58Speaker 4: pineapple water.
- 2:00Speaker 1: I don't ever get that strawberry water. Oh that sounds good,
- 2:03Speaker 1: like I want to chick fla the other day, or
- 2:04Speaker 1: I ordered and ordered a regular Sweet Teeth and ordered
- 2:07Speaker 1: one with strawberry syrup.
- 2:09Speaker 4: It's that good and a lot of it. Yeah, it's great.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Actually a lot of times, well it was an option.
- 2:13Speaker 1: If I don't know, I'll get it and then get
- 2:15Speaker 1: another one in case I don't like that. It's a
- 2:17Speaker 1: big drink guy. And so there's something here I'm going
- 2:20Speaker 1: to order for this Mexican restaurant. It's called a hirash.
- 2:23Speaker 1: What does that mean? Spell it h u a r
- 2:26Speaker 1: a c chi.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Everyone looks at spell it against h u A r
- 2:33Speaker 5: a c ch.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Okay, but that's a sandal.
- 2:37Speaker 6: But it's a type of food too.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Is it not a drink?
- 2:39Speaker 6: No?
- 2:40Speaker 7: Oh?
- 2:40Speaker 4: Is it under drinks?
- 2:41Speaker 6: If it's or shot, that's a that's a drink.
- 2:44Speaker 1: What's an athletic servesa?
- 2:46Speaker 4: Oh that's a beer, dude, that's athletic brand beer. That's
- 2:49Speaker 4: not alcoholic.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Oh that's a brand.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Yeah, non alcoholic.
- 2:52Speaker 6: Now you work out and you drink it.
- 2:55Speaker 1: It was like health or like if you know how
- 2:58Speaker 1: they have like a what do they call it beer?
- 3:01Speaker 6: Like Michael buld Trump.
- 3:02Speaker 1: No, no, no, they have they call it beer. It's
- 3:05Speaker 1: like a kind of like a it's not a root beer.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Oh oh, oh, like a root.
- 3:11Speaker 5: It has the word beer like a ginger beer.
- 3:12Speaker 1: It's not beer, thank you, it's not beer. I don't
- 3:15Speaker 1: know if that was like an athletics or vas. It
- 3:16Speaker 1: was like a ginger beer.
- 3:17Speaker 4: No Athletics a brand and they have all non alcoholic beer.
- 3:20Speaker 1: What about inn a bloody.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Non alcoholic bloody I don't want any of this.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Then this is all bad. This is not gonna get
- 3:27Speaker 1: a drink. If you ever had a bloody mary, virgin, no,
- 3:30Speaker 1: because I don't feel like i'd like a virgin tomato.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Really bloody marry is delicious, Like really it's too savory.
- 3:38Speaker 4: But I will even say that the vodka and the
- 3:39Speaker 4: bloody marry kind of ruins the bloody marry.
- 3:41Speaker 7: A little bit.
- 3:43Speaker 1: So I just don't like savory stuff. I don't like savory.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Don't like salty.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Salty drinks, not really. I like salt. I'll go to
- 3:48Speaker 1: Mexican places and I'll get a fruity drink and have
- 3:50Speaker 1: a salt on the rim. Then I'll just lick it
- 3:55Speaker 1: and they're judging a salty drink.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Back have you had?
- 4:00Speaker 1: I don't know what that is.
- 4:01Speaker 4: It's like a rice milk. It's almost like I think I.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Would be nervous to order it because I don't know
- 4:08Speaker 1: what it is, so I probably wouldn't order it. Or shata.
- 4:12Speaker 6: It's pretty sweet.
- 4:13Speaker 4: I mean it's I would I would classify it like
- 4:15Speaker 4: a I mean, it's like milk, but it's it's almost
- 4:18Speaker 4: like an almond milk, but a sweeter almond.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Milk, like ice cold. Okay, I made my order. What
- 4:23Speaker 1: you get a burrito?
- 4:25Speaker 4: After all that?
- 4:26Speaker 1: Well, you're not gonna try the Why not you? He
- 4:30Speaker 1: said it was a sandal.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's called a sandal, but it's really a food.
- 4:34Speaker 4: You're not ordering a sandal.
- 4:36Speaker 1: I didn't want to order a sandal. I literally took
- 4:38Speaker 1: that as a sandal. I didn't need it.
- 4:39Speaker 6: It looks it looks like a sandal, like the base
- 4:41Speaker 6: of it looks like a sandal.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Is it a fruity drink?
- 4:43Speaker 6: No, it's a food.
- 4:44Speaker 4: It's a food. You know.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I got a burrito. I thought I was on a
- 4:47Speaker 1: drinks tab.
- 4:48Speaker 4: What's in your burrito? I'm so curious about your Mexican
- 4:50Speaker 4: food order.
- 4:51Speaker 1: It's so generic and basic because I can't have cheese.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Okay, so you have meat, like protein? What's your protein?
- 4:56Speaker 7: Chicken?
- 4:57Speaker 1: Yeah, chicken and rice, beans and beans. That's it. That's all.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I can have a sala. It comes on the side.
- 5:05Speaker 1: I order the triple salsa. It's triple heat, three different
- 5:09Speaker 1: kinds of sauces and it comes with guak. So I
- 5:11Speaker 1: get the chips and triple SAUCEA there we go. Yeah,
- 5:13Speaker 1: they're good there and one's orange, ones, green, ones red.
- 5:15Speaker 1: The orange is the hottest.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Yeah, that's probably a howbniro.
- 5:19Speaker 1: It's a place we go all the time called mice
- 5:23Speaker 1: Mice More And you go on in the walls all
- 5:25Speaker 1: corn that's made the walls made of corn. It used
- 5:27Speaker 1: to be a food truck here in town and yeah,
- 5:30Speaker 1: uh what do you call it?
- 5:31Speaker 4: Brick?
- 5:31Speaker 1: And I think it's still a food truck. But also
- 5:33Speaker 1: they made it to a restaurant maybe another one. This
- 5:36Speaker 1: was like right up the road. That's awesome. I order
- 5:38Speaker 1: from there once a week. We go there once every
- 5:40Speaker 1: couple of weeks. But I'm glad you guys could experience
- 5:41Speaker 1: that with me. That was actually fun. Why doesn't know
- 5:45Speaker 1: what the drink selection was there. You may want to
- 5:48Speaker 1: think twice if you want to get a photo with
- 5:50Speaker 1: mister beast. So he says that people asking for a
- 5:54Speaker 1: photo with him feels like a death sentence.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Why he just doesn't like taking pictures of people.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Basically, he said, it's like a death sentence. If you're
- 6:03Speaker 1: not quick because you take photos in public, everybody's gonna
- 6:05Speaker 1: turn around in the lines form and then you're just
- 6:08Speaker 1: there taking pictures the whole time. Oh so he doesn't
- 6:10Speaker 1: like to take pictures with people because he knows that
- 6:12Speaker 1: will equal far more pictures with far more people. You
- 6:15Speaker 1: rold your eyes, go ahead.
- 6:16Speaker 4: Yes, it's so dumb, you can handle all that. Like,
- 6:18Speaker 4: I think theovonn does a really good job. I've seen
- 6:20Speaker 4: videos of him where he walks out. He's like, guys,
- 6:22Speaker 4: I'm just gonna be real with you. I've got to
- 6:23Speaker 4: be somewhere in two minutes. So if you want to
- 6:25Speaker 4: take a group picture, well I'll do it. And then
- 6:27Speaker 4: I got a roll, and then he does that and
- 6:28Speaker 4: then he leaves.
- 6:30Speaker 1: It's the line. Relax.
- 6:32Speaker 4: Honestly, I don't think half the people recognize mister beast.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I think you're old. I think that's a very old
- 6:39Speaker 1: person thing to say.
- 6:41Speaker 4: You're telling me I've.
- 6:42Speaker 5: Never seen one of his videos, but I know who
- 6:44Speaker 5: he is.
- 6:44Speaker 4: You know what he looks like. If you saw him
- 6:45Speaker 4: on the street.
- 6:46Speaker 5: Yeah, would I take a picture?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Probably not? But yes, you're old. By saying that, Mike.
- 6:51Speaker 6: Super old dude, he's the most followed YouTube account.
- 6:54Speaker 1: He's very famous.
- 6:55Speaker 4: I think he's dumb to think that if he took
- 6:57Speaker 4: one picture, the whole freaking street will see.
- 6:59Speaker 6: He has a young fan, so you see a bunch
- 7:01Speaker 6: of kids out there all going to know who mister
- 7:02Speaker 6: Beast is.
- 7:03Speaker 1: He says he's literally been kicked out of Walmart because
- 7:05Speaker 1: of it.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Oh he did it at Walmart, and.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I'm surprised he's at Walmart. I think that's the part
- 7:10Speaker 1: that I.
- 7:10Speaker 6: Was almost half a billion subscribers on YouTube.
- 7:14Speaker 1: No, I get it, but you don't because you were like,
- 7:17Speaker 1: he's not famous, though he's way more famous name somebody like.
- 7:20Speaker 4: Arnie TeX's the guy I follow on TikTok. He cooks
- 7:23Speaker 4: Mexican food. He's legit, right, But I and I know
- 7:26Speaker 4: I watched all his videos, but if I saw on
- 7:27Speaker 4: the street, I probably wouldn't even think that's Arnie texts.
- 7:30Speaker 1: But that's not mister Beast.
- 7:33Speaker 4: He's still pretty pretty big on TikTok, but not not huge,
- 7:35Speaker 4: I understand.
- 7:35Speaker 5: But what about uh I show speed.
- 7:38Speaker 1: I've never seen him before, so he's super famous. He's
- 7:41Speaker 1: not mister beasts famous, because mister Beasts was that famous
- 7:44Speaker 1: plus he's so big that corporations wanted to get involved
- 7:48Speaker 1: with him, and he's got food. Mister Beast is wildly famous, Paul.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I don't know, Speed is super famous, but mister Beasts
- 7:53Speaker 1: is a different level.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Logan, Jake, those dudes I get it, Like there you
- 7:57Speaker 4: can't mistake. Like, I still think mister Beast's kind of
- 8:00Speaker 4: still looks like a normal dude. That doesn't you see,
- 8:02Speaker 4: Jake Paul. You're like, oh, that's Jake Paul, no doubt.
- 8:04Speaker 1: My problem with mister Beast is he doesn't look like
- 8:06Speaker 1: a beast to have a name like mister Beast. I
- 8:09Speaker 1: always feel he should be a little more beast like
- 8:12Speaker 1: or a big dude. Yeah he's not.
- 8:14Speaker 6: Do we know how he got his name gamer tag?
- 8:16Speaker 6: He started out streaming.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Okay, what was your game? What's your gamer tag?
- 8:21Speaker 1: My gamer tag is I think it's Bobby Bones Bones
- 8:25Speaker 1: because someone had jacked my name and so I just
- 8:27Speaker 1: made that up real quick.
- 8:28Speaker 4: So that would be your mister beast, Boby Bones Bones.
- 8:30Speaker 1: No, my name, my mister beat is Bobby Bones not
- 8:32Speaker 1: even real name. Okay, that's true, that's true.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Huh Yeah, mine is smoking edo now because I had
- 8:37Speaker 4: I got hacked. I think producer Eddie was my name
- 8:40Speaker 4: and that got hacked. And then I'm smoking edo now,
- 8:43Speaker 4: but I meant by like smoking chicken. That's why I
- 8:45Speaker 4: created it. Everybody thinks you yeah, and then like you're
- 8:50Speaker 4: smoking too, dude, smoking dudes and games you know what
- 8:53Speaker 4: I mean?
- 8:54Speaker 1: Oh that too? Yeah? Complex with that story there. How
- 8:58Speaker 1: you doing. I'm good man, I'm good cold, I'm good
- 9:01Speaker 1: checking in. You're not betting?
- 9:03Speaker 4: I bet last night on way back. It was just
- 9:07Speaker 4: a late night bet.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I think, no, no, there's not a it doesn't count
- 9:10Speaker 1: as much if it's late night. It's still a bit
- 9:12Speaker 1: like the value doesn't go down.
- 9:14Speaker 4: Testing A and M Cincinnati.
- 9:16Speaker 1: But the significance was you weren't betting Arizona Cincinnati basketball
- 9:20Speaker 1: and was it? Was it an Arizona game, So it
- 9:22Speaker 1: was way later.
- 9:23Speaker 4: It is later, and it was towards the end, and
- 9:25Speaker 4: I was just like, let me just throw this five
- 9:27Speaker 4: dollars on this and see what happens. And I hit it.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Three in a row, baby, three in a row. I'm back.
- 9:34Speaker 4: And I just to me, to me, to me that
- 9:37Speaker 4: that that New England's Patriots line, that's that's too little,
- 9:41Speaker 4: like was it minus four and a half.
- 9:43Speaker 1: That's too late.
- 9:43Speaker 5: Stay away from there.
- 9:44Speaker 1: It's minus five and a half right now.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Okay, so that's what I'm saying. See, it's moving so quickly.
- 9:48Speaker 4: By the time this podcast over is gonna be minus
- 9:50Speaker 4: eight and a half. We got to get on that.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Now. You are kind of a curse.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Why though, Like, why am I a curse?
- 9:58Speaker 1: Because anytime you hop on on something, we tend to lose.
- 10:01Speaker 4: I don't disagree with that, but I don't understand why
- 10:04Speaker 4: I'm the curse.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Oh, you don't know why.
- 10:06Speaker 4: You don't understand it.
- 10:07Speaker 1: You're not arguing that you're not a curse. You just
- 10:09Speaker 1: don't know why you're curse.
- 10:10Speaker 4: I've seen it too many times, and you guys remind
- 10:12Speaker 4: me every single time. Oh great, Eddie's on this. Now
- 10:15Speaker 4: we're gonna lose it. And what do we do we
- 10:16Speaker 4: lose it?
- 10:17Speaker 1: What's the deal? So do you think you'll stay if
- 10:20Speaker 1: the Patriots win? Because we're gonna go out to San Francisco.
- 10:24Speaker 5: I'm fifty to fifty.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Now are you only fififty? Because you don't want to
- 10:28Speaker 1: say yes because if you commit to it, maybe no.
- 10:29Speaker 5: No, no no no no no no no I'm fifty
- 10:31Speaker 5: to fifty because it's gonna cost a lot of money.
- 10:34Speaker 1: That's why i'm fifty fIF on. You'll already be out
- 10:37Speaker 1: there though, paid for so the travel, but I will
- 10:40Speaker 1: have to.
- 10:41Speaker 5: Pay for two nights of myself, huh, and the game
- 10:46Speaker 5: ticket and then the drinks and the food for two
- 10:48Speaker 5: or three days, which adds up quick.
- 10:50Speaker 1: It's your own drinks, it's your own in the super.
- 10:53Speaker 4: Bowl, though, I know sacrifice, you're like the drinks man.
- 10:56Speaker 4: I want to I got little ones.
- 10:57Speaker 5: No, I got to think about my future of and everything.
- 11:02Speaker 1: And he's just like when they're like three, you have
- 11:04Speaker 1: to actually care about him.
- 11:05Speaker 5: But I got to start that now, like you know,
- 11:07Speaker 5: start putting stuff into accounts for them. You know that.
- 11:12Speaker 4: It just I never like.
- 11:13Speaker 5: It was, Yeah, how was that?
- 11:15Speaker 4: Going for paycheck to paycheck. I'm still paycheck to paycheck exactly.
- 11:18Speaker 4: You know what? But you know what, though, they're not
- 11:20Speaker 4: starving and they've eaten.
- 11:21Speaker 5: But I'm talking about college funds I'm talking about.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Yeah, he's got a point. They're not starving, they're living, dude,
- 11:28Speaker 1: they're very happy. We're going to keep it that way.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Did you know Jared Sidham was the top two recruit
- 11:33Speaker 1: behind only Kyler Murray in high school. And Kyler Murray
- 11:35Speaker 1: was legendary in high school. Uh so, Kyler Murray was
- 11:39Speaker 1: number one Texas A and M. This is a dual
- 11:40Speaker 1: threat quarterbacks Jared Stidham Baylor, but he ended up going
- 11:44Speaker 1: to Auburn. DeAndre Francois Do you remember him? No?
- 11:51Speaker 5: You would if he's all picture number twelve for Florida State.
- 11:54Speaker 1: What about him would be? Its good? Like he was good?
- 11:58Speaker 5: He started for a few years.
- 12:00Speaker 1: He was number three. Brandon Wimbush Notre Dame, Dwayne Lawson
- 12:03Speaker 1: at Virginia Tech, sherry On Jones at Tennessee. Are these
- 12:07Speaker 1: it was the only second? Is everybody else sucked Wimbush?
- 12:10Speaker 5: He was a lefty at Notre Dame.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Oh, I'm sure they all were real people. Yea, this
- 12:15Speaker 1: is twenty fifteen, but some of the Joe Burrow was nine.
- 12:19Speaker 1: It is a dual threat to Ohio State. Yeah. And
- 12:22Speaker 1: Kelly Bryan at Clemson. I remember Kelly Bryant. Lamar Jackson
- 12:25Speaker 1: was at number seventeen.
- 12:26Speaker 5: Wow in Louisville, ringings me nothing, man.
- 12:29Speaker 4: But we are we are we scraping here? Like what
- 12:32Speaker 4: do I mean? We're talking Stidham's like, did you know, like, well,
- 12:35Speaker 4: we're looking for anything to be like, guys, he could
- 12:38Speaker 4: really pull this off.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Oh, I think it's just fun fact more than.
- 12:41Speaker 5: I'm not saying that he was a top two recruit.
- 12:43Speaker 1: He's gonna win this game.
- 12:45Speaker 4: I just feel like everyone's just like, let's scrape anything
- 12:48Speaker 4: we got on him, so we could make this a game.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I don't think he can pull it off. I'm not
- 12:53Speaker 1: a Patriots fan, so I'm okay with saying that because
- 12:56Speaker 1: I don't feel like I can jinx it. I don't
- 12:58Speaker 1: think that they'll pull it off. I don't think they're
- 13:00Speaker 1: going to ask a lot of him.
- 13:02Speaker 5: The Broncos.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Yes, so I think he can probably pull off what's
- 13:05Speaker 1: being asked of him. I think the problem will be
- 13:08Speaker 1: if they get down. Yeah, if they get down ten
- 13:10Speaker 1: points or so, it's going to be on him. Yeah,
- 13:13Speaker 1: and then it's make or break by Steadham.
- 13:14Speaker 5: Do you think I think Dobbins came off the IR
- 13:17Speaker 5: he's like eligible to practice, haven't said he's playing or not.
- 13:20Speaker 5: Do you think that would be a big factor. They
- 13:21Speaker 5: have Harvey the rookie, but if they can run, obviously
- 13:24Speaker 5: that helps him.
- 13:25Speaker 1: They are going to run.
- 13:26Speaker 5: Yeah, they have to.
- 13:26Speaker 1: They're going to their line is good. Yeah, No, they're
- 13:30Speaker 1: they're good offensively, they're great defensively, but they're good to
- 13:34Speaker 1: good plus with bo Nicks. How are the Patriots against
- 13:37Speaker 1: the run.
- 13:38Speaker 5: Been a lot better since Milton Williams d tackle he
- 13:41Speaker 5: came back?
- 13:41Speaker 1: Bar and Moore?
- 13:42Speaker 5: I mean you've seen the last two games? Do they
- 13:43Speaker 5: have a lot of one touchdown the two playoff games?
- 13:45Speaker 8: Hey?
- 13:46Speaker 1: Are you lying about your shoulder? What do you mean?
- 13:48Speaker 1: So Kevin still in a sling? There have been people
- 13:53Speaker 1: there been.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Eddie, I'm that and he's not even looking at me.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I wasn't even looking at him. I just heard the
- 13:58Speaker 1: word lie and I'm like, go ahead. There have been
- 14:00Speaker 1: people saying that you're using your shoulder and how long
- 14:03Speaker 1: that you've been injured as a way to garner sympathy.
- 14:05Speaker 1: That you've been telling people at work it's going to
- 14:07Speaker 1: be seven months.
- 14:09Speaker 9: Seven months. I never said seven months, wow, seven months? No,
- 14:14Speaker 9: so that he didn't say that the physical therapy part
- 14:19Speaker 9: of it.
- 14:19Speaker 5: So I went last week when I was a physical
- 14:21Speaker 5: therapy and I'm supposed to get the swing off next week,
- 14:23Speaker 5: thank god, And I was like, hey, you know when
- 14:26Speaker 5: I get done with the sling, I got what like
- 14:28Speaker 5: a month left or something in physical therapy. He's like, dude,
- 14:30Speaker 5: you're here till like June or July.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I didn't know that.
- 14:34Speaker 5: I didn't realize the entire process of physical therapy takes
- 14:37Speaker 5: that long. But I didn't say seven months. But I
- 14:40Speaker 5: mean that is five to six six months.
- 14:41Speaker 1: So you haven't said that to any girl in the office.
- 14:43Speaker 5: I know who you're talking about.
- 14:47Speaker 1: I didn't say.
- 14:52Speaker 5: It ain't Mike, and it is not I know that. No,
- 14:57Speaker 5: I've never said seven months. I said to June or
- 14:59Speaker 5: July six months. So if you feeling good those yeah,
- 15:05Speaker 5: I'm ready to get out.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Man.
- 15:06Speaker 5: I'm I'm getting all kind of good range of motion
- 15:09Speaker 5: at physical therapy. I'm trying to be like Adrian Peterson.
- 15:11Speaker 1: It sucks. Physical therapy sucks. It hurts, Yeah it does.
- 15:14Speaker 1: You're going every week now, setting up twice a week.
- 15:16Speaker 1: You're still going too, huh twice a week. I only
- 15:19Speaker 1: I got into this thing. I forget what it's called,
- 15:21Speaker 1: but it's like an anti gravity treadmill. And they say
- 15:24Speaker 1: that because it takes thirty to forty percent of your
- 15:27Speaker 1: weight off when you run, and so I had surgery
- 15:29Speaker 1: on my ankle, and what you do is you get
- 15:30Speaker 1: in this hula hoop type thing and you zip into
- 15:34Speaker 1: to it and they blow up the air, so it
- 15:36Speaker 1: makes you hover a little bit. I'm little, and so
- 15:39Speaker 1: I'm running and they have it on five and a
- 15:41Speaker 1: half or so, and I'm doing one minute intervals and
- 15:43Speaker 1: i feel my ankle goes shock right in my ankle
- 15:46Speaker 1: and I'm like done, out done, and it hurt bad
- 15:50Speaker 1: where I thought I was done and reinjured it and
- 15:52Speaker 1: my doctor was like, no, no, no, it's going to
- 15:54Speaker 1: hurt when that happened. Stop And so I didn't get
- 15:57Speaker 1: on the treadmill again the next week. But now I
- 15:58Speaker 1: do a lot of stuff where I stand on one
- 16:00Speaker 1: foot and catch a ball because I've got to like
- 16:02Speaker 1: put weight to move in different.
- 16:03Speaker 5: Directions on the other foot or on that foot, on
- 16:06Speaker 5: that foot.
- 16:06Speaker 4: Out who's throwing you the ball? The doctor, people just.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Walking by the outside depot, physical therapist. Okay, yeah, So
- 16:14Speaker 1: I'm going twice a week. I gotta get it better,
- 16:18Speaker 1: are you. I'm like, I feel like an athlete.
- 16:20Speaker 5: I'm like motivated. I'm like, if I need to get
- 16:22Speaker 5: here in three times, let me know. I need to
- 16:23Speaker 5: get this thing better.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I've just put on probably ten pounds because I can't run,
- 16:27Speaker 1: I can't really do anything active, and so I just
- 16:31Speaker 1: don't want to be fat anymore because it feels like
- 16:33Speaker 1: I'm fat in my body because I'm not usually having
- 16:35Speaker 1: this extra ten pounds.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Shut out. Both of you do not think you're fat,
- 16:40Speaker 4: You're not hey, So is that your goal to not
- 16:44Speaker 4: be fat like right now or is it your goal
- 16:46Speaker 4: to be Like I want to get back to the
- 16:47Speaker 4: pickleball court.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I miss competing in anything. And also there have been
- 16:51Speaker 1: things that we have not done, like go to Tennessee
- 16:53Speaker 1: basketball and like do that shoot with them? Because I can't.
- 16:56Speaker 1: I'm not going to go and be on a freaking crutch.
- 16:59Speaker 1: So I just like to be back to normal. Okay,
- 17:01Speaker 1: but I got to be back to normal before my
- 17:02Speaker 1: wife has baby. Yeah that too.
- 17:05Speaker 5: Do you ever get you kind of touched on a
- 17:06Speaker 5: little bit, but like every time I feel a little
- 17:08Speaker 5: hurt in my shoulder, I'm like.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Oh no, yeah, brings screwed for another month.
- 17:12Speaker 5: But then you talk to your doctor the physical therapist
- 17:14Speaker 5: are like, no, that's totally normal, Like, okay.
- 17:16Speaker 1: What was weird? Was it's so weak because I didn't
- 17:19Speaker 1: use it for three months and it had to be
- 17:21Speaker 1: certainly repaired. So, like I'm doing calf raisesm I start
- 17:24Speaker 1: to get tired just doing calf raises. That's like the
- 17:26Speaker 1: weeniest workout you could possibly do. And so, yeah, that's
- 17:29Speaker 1: been weird.
- 17:29Speaker 4: You're like out of breath doing calf raises.
- 17:31Speaker 1: No, but I just my leg is completely fatigued.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Do you see a size difference in your legs?
- 17:37Speaker 1: No, it's it's been three months.
- 17:41Speaker 7: No.
- 17:41Speaker 1: My arms, though, I've lost a little.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Really like tone, you lost some tone on that look.
- 17:47Speaker 1: I don't have an extremely muscular body, but I had
- 17:51Speaker 1: pretty good arms for.
- 17:52Speaker 4: A minute there, dude, you got you're looking pretty.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Because I'm a pretty thin guy and my arms are
- 17:57Speaker 1: pretty good. I've kind of lost a little bit.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Yeah that's you'll get it back, man.
- 18:00Speaker 1: What about you?
- 18:01Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 18:01Speaker 5: Oh yeah, same. I mean I'm kind of the same.
- 18:04Speaker 5: Where like you know, you have your your strengths and
- 18:06Speaker 5: your weaknesses. It's like, my arms and shoulders are one
- 18:08Speaker 5: of my strengths.
- 18:09Speaker 1: And so what's your body strength?
- 18:13Speaker 4: Like, what's strongest?
- 18:14Speaker 1: No? No, what's like that if some woman you didn't
- 18:17Speaker 1: know had to look at your whole body and pick
- 18:19Speaker 1: the thing they were most attracted to. It can't be
- 18:21Speaker 1: your wife, because she knows you as a human and
- 18:23Speaker 1: she'll be kind.
- 18:25Speaker 4: You know, she would be most attracted to like any part,
- 18:28Speaker 4: not just muscle. Stop stop it, because I mean, my
- 18:33Speaker 4: my biceps are pretty good.
- 18:35Speaker 1: What's yours? What's your most attractive body part? It's easy.
- 18:38Speaker 4: My eyelashes. The women love my eyelashes. I get, dude,
- 18:43Speaker 4: I get it all the time. And they won't say like,
- 18:45Speaker 4: oh my gosh, they're so hot. What they tell me is, gosh,
- 18:48Speaker 4: you have great eyelashes, like every woman would be jealous
- 18:51Speaker 4: to have those.
- 18:53Speaker 1: I've never once thought about your eyelashes. You have big,
- 18:56Speaker 1: thick eyebrows. They never say anything my eyebrows. Maybe they're
- 18:59Speaker 1: so blown away out take your eyebrows on it? And
- 19:02Speaker 1: you kept them staring and like, oh yeah, ye eyelashes.
- 19:04Speaker 4: Why can't you just accept that they like my eyelashes.
- 19:06Speaker 1: They might I just don't notice eyelashes.
- 19:08Speaker 4: Yeah, well the girls like it.
- 19:10Speaker 5: Yeah, Kevin, you minor my eyes, the blue eyes.
- 19:17Speaker 1: I'm just saying, guys, hey, my whole family has him,
- 19:20Speaker 1: dude till this day.
- 19:20Speaker 5: My dad is sixty five years old and he still
- 19:22Speaker 5: gets compliment on him.
- 19:24Speaker 1: And they got handed down to me, my brother, my sister,
- 19:26Speaker 1: my babies.
- 19:26Speaker 4: What do they say?
- 19:27Speaker 5: Like they're like, damn, you have such beautiful eyes.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Damn you have such beautiful eye Like your eyes are
- 19:32Speaker 1: so blue.
- 19:32Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, I know all right, what you got, dude?
- 19:38Speaker 1: Don't even known't what we would I say, you don't
- 19:42Speaker 1: know what I'm gonna say. What do you think is
- 19:43Speaker 1: my best body party? Because I know what I'm gonna say.
- 19:45Speaker 4: What do I think?
- 19:45Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 19:46Speaker 1: Uh?
- 19:47Speaker 10: So it doesn't have to be external right like your brain,
- 19:50Speaker 10: my kidney, your Oh no, it's got to be somebody
- 19:53Speaker 10: that you.
- 19:53Speaker 1: They can just see physically. So yeah, because I have
- 19:58Speaker 1: what My quick answer is hair, my hair.
- 20:01Speaker 4: Yes, you get powerful, dude.
- 20:03Speaker 1: It's it's strong, it's powerful. The girl that cuts my
- 20:06Speaker 1: hair sometimes she has to cut it like three times
- 20:10Speaker 1: in a month. She's like, man's I have something to do.
- 20:13Speaker 1: She's like this, it grows like nothing else. And I
- 20:15Speaker 1: bet to her it's fun.
- 20:17Speaker 4: It's like it's a clean blanks, uh canvas, dude, and
- 20:21Speaker 4: she can just do whatever with it.
- 20:22Speaker 1: I don't give her any direction. She's like, what do
- 20:25Speaker 1: you want to do this time. Whatever you feel, that's
- 20:28Speaker 1: awesome because I know if it ain't good, it'll grow back.
- 20:31Speaker 1: All I have to do to get my hair to
- 20:32Speaker 1: grow is like this, and it grows back like I
- 20:34Speaker 1: just I just squeeze and my head. Dude, you know
- 20:37Speaker 1: what it's like, I'm poopy. Do that and my hair grows.
- 20:41Speaker 4: Well, I would get my hair cut and like I
- 20:43Speaker 4: had a little bit of hair, and don't do that too,
- 20:46Speaker 4: like do whatever you want to, like, there's only one
- 20:48Speaker 4: thing we can do to this, shrim it. It's not much,
- 20:52Speaker 4: man like. That's why I decided to shave it all.
- 20:53Speaker 5: Do you ever go to the barber for like your
- 20:55Speaker 5: beard or anything?
- 20:55Speaker 4: Never?
- 20:56Speaker 1: No, I'm done with that.
- 20:57Speaker 4: I got lacing for my eyes. Never have to go
- 20:59Speaker 4: to the eye doctor.
- 21:00Speaker 1: And so you could see that you were missing hair.
- 21:01Speaker 4: Yeah, what does just saying? I used to go to
- 21:04Speaker 4: the doctor all the time, had to go like twice
- 21:06Speaker 4: a year.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Don't have to do that anymore.
- 21:07Speaker 4: And I don't have to get my haircut anymore ever.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Bald head's a good on you, Thank you man.
- 21:12Speaker 4: I dude, I'm kind of back to the hat because
- 21:15Speaker 4: I just I don't know, I don't.
- 21:17Speaker 1: What's weird is I look in the mirror and I'm like, dang,
- 21:18Speaker 1: it look just like my dad. You do, look just
- 21:20Speaker 1: like now because you're also getting older.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm older, And what does that mean? Like because
- 21:24Speaker 4: my dad was like seventy two, yeah, but like I'm
- 21:27Speaker 4: not seventy two.
- 21:28Speaker 1: No, you're starting to get older. And my version of
- 21:31Speaker 1: him is probably from fifteen years ago when I first
- 21:34Speaker 1: met him, and you maybe longer on that now.
- 21:36Speaker 4: He was bald, right, yeah, bald.
- 21:38Speaker 5: Head and you remember him at the age of the
- 21:39Speaker 5: year at now probably you know what I mean.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Uh, when he was my age, he had hair like
- 21:44Speaker 4: he still had hair. It was like bald and circ
- 21:47Speaker 4: need a mustache. Might have had a mustache for so long.
- 21:50Speaker 4: And I've thought about, like, no.
- 21:52Speaker 1: That looks gross. Why people do it?
- 21:54Speaker 7: Dude?
- 21:54Speaker 4: Some country artists, Yeah, Morgan Wallen they.
- 22:00Speaker 7: Pull it off.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Why can't we pull it? Because they're Riley Green and
- 22:02Speaker 1: Morgan wall and fair enough green In Spanish, he'd be
- 22:06Speaker 1: Riley all right. So let's let's knock out a parley here.
- 22:14Speaker 1: We got Patriots minus five and a half at the
- 22:16Speaker 1: Broncos with DraftKings. What do you got a no brainer. Okay,
- 22:21Speaker 1: you're taking the Broncos.
- 22:21Speaker 4: You gotta take the Patriots.
- 22:23Speaker 1: So Patriots minus five and a half.
- 22:25Speaker 4: I mean, guys, it's it's like the Seahawks Niners game.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Murder row. Okay, Patriots minus five and a half, consider
- 22:35Speaker 1: it done. Rams at Seahawks, Eddie, Seahawks minus two and
- 22:38Speaker 1: a half. Let's stay it on the count of three rams.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I was going to say that to Godly. Okay, right,
- 22:45Speaker 1: so you want you're taking Rams plus two and a half.
- 22:47Speaker 4: You really want to make some scratch that money line.
- 22:51Speaker 1: You really want to make some scratch. Okay, what's you thinking?
- 22:56Speaker 4: He's scratching his head.
- 22:57Speaker 1: I like this. I'm gonna go Drake over to twenty
- 23:00Speaker 1: nine passing, So we'll do that. We'll do Patriots minus
- 23:04Speaker 1: five and a half Rams plus two and a half
- 23:08Speaker 1: Drake May plus two twenty nine passing, and you're love
- 23:11Speaker 1: in those passing yards? Yeah, because most of them. I
- 23:14Speaker 1: don't want to be the guests. Most the time I
- 23:16Speaker 1: hit because I don't. I feel pretty good. I feel
- 23:17Speaker 1: pretty confident in those. I think I hit more of those.
- 23:20Speaker 1: What's your magic number? You like? Two hundred? Around two
- 23:23Speaker 1: hundred depends if it's CJ. Stroud like eighty, but sometimes move.
- 23:29Speaker 1: I got a DraftKings and I move it back, just

- 24:26Speaker 1: All right, I want to go now to longtime NFL
- 24:28Speaker 1: center Mitch Morse, who played with Patrick Mahomes in Kansas
- 24:33Speaker 1: City with Josh Allen in Buffalo. Then he ended up
- 24:37Speaker 1: with Jacksonville that's where he retired. And in Jacksonville, Eddie,
- 24:40Speaker 1: he played with Trevor Lawrence. That is correct. So Mitch
- 24:42Speaker 1: was drafted by the Chiefs in twenty fifteen played for
- 24:44Speaker 1: ten years in the league. Also before he went on
- 24:47Speaker 1: he grew up in Austin, which is where you know,
- 24:50Speaker 1: I kind of grew up doing radio. So he was
- 24:52Speaker 1: a fan of the radio show That's Awes when he
- 24:54Speaker 1: was going to high school. So that's pretty crazy. But
- 24:56Speaker 1: you can check out his podcast, Monday Mornings with Mitch
- 24:58Speaker 1: wherever you get your podcasts. I think you'll like him.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Here there he is Mitch Morse. All right, let's bring
- 25:02Speaker 1: on Mitch Morse now, who played for the Chiefs, the Bills, Jaguars.
- 25:06Speaker 1: He's got a podcast called Monday Mornings with Mitch, and
- 25:10Speaker 1: I assume that comes out on Monday. I didn't do
- 25:12Speaker 1: the research on that. I just assume Mitch that comes
- 25:13Speaker 1: out every Monday.
- 25:14Speaker 8: It does, and it turns out Monday Mornings and NFL
- 25:18Speaker 8: season where football contents a diaper pail in regards to
- 25:22Speaker 8: people coming and checking me out. But it's been fun, dude,
- 25:24Speaker 8: And yeah, that was a safe assumption.
- 25:26Speaker 1: My friend, I want to roll through your teams at first,
- 25:29Speaker 1: because you played for three teams. The Chiefs drafted you, right,
- 25:32Speaker 1: they did, yes, sir, And so looking back at twenty
- 25:36Speaker 1: twenty five for the Chiefs, you know, they have some
- 25:39Speaker 1: decisions to make. They have some decisions to be made,
- 25:41Speaker 1: which is one is Kelsey coming back. But what are
- 25:44Speaker 1: they going to have to do to kind of get
- 25:45Speaker 1: back in the mix next year?
- 25:46Speaker 7: Wow?
- 25:46Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, great question because if you had told
- 25:49Speaker 8: me that their season went end like this and that
- 25:52Speaker 8: kind of strife, I would have told you you're crazy,
- 25:56Speaker 8: because I mean it felt like they were just gonna
- 25:58Speaker 8: reload and revamp up and get going. But you know,
- 26:01Speaker 8: it's interesting. So so you see like a guy like
- 26:03Speaker 8: Patrick Mahomes, or I assume a Josh Allen here soon,
- 26:06Speaker 8: or a Tom like so Tom Brady, He's on the
- 26:08Speaker 8: same team but had three or four different iterations of
- 26:11Speaker 8: the same team. Like, it's just going to have these
- 26:13Speaker 8: influx of core guys and players and you're gonna have
- 26:16Speaker 8: to go through the shift because from the outside looking in,
- 26:20Speaker 8: I have no idea what happened. You know, I have
- 26:23Speaker 8: the utmost respect and for coach Reid and that core
- 26:27Speaker 8: of leaders there. They've done a great job and they've
- 26:29Speaker 8: won big games in big moments, and I think this
- 26:31Speaker 8: is one of those seasons of change.
- 26:34Speaker 7: And if you if you had.
- 26:35Speaker 8: A pill that could tell you exactly what was wrong,
- 26:38Speaker 8: you'd be a billionaire because no one really knows.
- 26:40Speaker 1: You know, with the Chiefs, they've drafted pretty well except
- 26:45Speaker 1: for the receiver spot, like they've and that's the thing
- 26:48Speaker 1: that you mentioned New England they had troubled drafting receivers
- 26:51Speaker 1: as well. And you've got a draft well to consistently
- 26:54Speaker 1: be good, because that's why you're saving money, right you're
- 26:55Speaker 1: paying those rookie contracts, but you got a bunch of
- 26:58Speaker 1: money going and try Kelsey. Do you want Travis Kelcey
- 27:01Speaker 1: to retire if you're the Chiefs so you have that money?
- 27:04Speaker 8: Absolutely not. Of course I have some skin in the game.
- 27:07Speaker 8: He's a tremendous leader. I mean, talk about a rallying
- 27:11Speaker 8: cry for a team in a locker room. You can't
- 27:15Speaker 8: refute his production this year was impressive, especially when everyone
- 27:19Speaker 8: was kind of down. I'm going into this thirteenth season.
- 27:21Speaker 8: I mean, granted, you have to look at it pragmatically,
- 27:23Speaker 8: going into your fourteen year depreciating asset in the NFL.
- 27:27Speaker 8: But I mean the Kelsey brothers have a proven record
- 27:30Speaker 8: of being able to perform well into your fourteen and
- 27:34Speaker 8: fifteen if you look at his brother That being said,
- 27:37Speaker 8: I mean you could talk to a guy, you could
- 27:39Speaker 8: have canon conversations. You've garnered this relationship where you're able
- 27:43Speaker 8: to have these conversations with Travis if he wants to
- 27:46Speaker 8: take a pay cut or if not, or how he
- 27:48Speaker 8: envisions his season or his career ending rather. So you know, long,
- 27:54Speaker 8: long way of answering that question, which what I would say,
- 27:56Speaker 8: absolutely you do not want Travis Kelsey to retire.
- 27:58Speaker 1: How did you know when it was time to retire?
- 28:00Speaker 8: Oh? Man, you know, that's a great question.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I was.
- 28:05Speaker 8: First of all, we'd played overseas, because the Jags play
- 28:08Speaker 8: a bunch of overseas, and we were doing a two
- 28:11Speaker 8: week stint. We'd played the Bears, and then we were
- 28:12Speaker 8: going to play in New England and where we were
- 28:14Speaker 8: staying was called The Grove. It's this unbelievable kind of
- 28:16Speaker 8: resort golf place where a lot of actors stay because
- 28:21Speaker 8: there's a studio where they film a bunch of movies
- 28:23Speaker 8: right there. And we were staying there and we just
- 28:26Speaker 8: kind of got pounded by the Bears and I had
- 28:27Speaker 8: played a terrible game and kind of coach had kind
- 28:29Speaker 8: of put me up on a poster board and kind
- 28:31Speaker 8: of ring me, and rightfully, so I played terrible, but
- 28:34Speaker 8: I had had tickets because they it was right next
- 28:36Speaker 8: to where they had filmed Harry Potter, like literally the
- 28:40Speaker 8: a mile away. So I go to Harry Potter. I'm
- 28:42Speaker 8: walking through Harry Potter Land. I'm a platform nine three
- 28:45Speaker 8: quarters and I'm looking around. I'm like, I don't want
- 28:47Speaker 8: to play football anymore. I don't want to be a
- 28:49Speaker 8: wizard either, But like I, it's just And then you
- 28:52Speaker 8: go back and you have this conversation with your wife
- 28:55Speaker 8: and you know it's just. I had found there's two
- 29:00Speaker 8: there's two schools of thought in this, which is quit
- 29:02Speaker 8: while you're ahead, or play one more year than you think.
- 29:05Speaker 8: And I definitely went for the latter. And I appreciate
- 29:07Speaker 8: that because it gave you some clarity and some closure
- 29:10Speaker 8: on this. But that being said, you also catch yourself
- 29:13Speaker 8: on film and you're like, who the hell is that?
- 29:15Speaker 8: Because you're telling your body talk about depreciating ask, you're
- 29:17Speaker 8: telling your body a right, run this way, go this fast,
- 29:20Speaker 8: reach the linebackers, and your your legs are chugging as
- 29:23Speaker 8: fasts they can they just your body does not respond
- 29:26Speaker 8: like it used to. So that's a very humbling experience
- 29:28Speaker 8: in itself and definitely helps play a role into making
- 29:31Speaker 8: that decision.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Isn't it hard though, to give up the money? Because again,
- 29:36Speaker 1: and I do an NFL show with Matt Castle and
- 29:38Speaker 1: we talk a lot about how athletes you have a
- 29:40Speaker 1: very limited window to make that really good money. How
- 29:44Speaker 1: much does that weigh into retiring though?
- 29:47Speaker 8: Oh, I mean, the Bills probably paid me a lot
- 29:51Speaker 8: more than they should have and I got compensated. Well,
- 29:56Speaker 8: I was very fortunate in my career, and you know,
- 29:59Speaker 8: to be honest, playing for less money than I played
- 30:02Speaker 8: for since my rookie season at that point, and I'm
- 30:05Speaker 8: seeing friends, you know, go through these traumatic injuries in
- 30:08Speaker 8: the field, you know, whether it be you know, I've
- 30:11Speaker 8: already suffered six concussions, Do I want another one and
- 30:13Speaker 8: have that conversation with my family or I had a
- 30:16Speaker 8: buddy whose leg exploded on the field, severed a nerve
- 30:19Speaker 8: and has permanent drop foot like and you got to
- 30:21Speaker 8: play that into it at this point. Am I playing
- 30:23Speaker 8: football because I love the game still? Or am I
- 30:25Speaker 8: playing it because I love being a football player? And
- 30:28Speaker 8: when you when that intersection crosses and you're doing it,
- 30:31Speaker 8: you find it, you find you might be doing it
- 30:33Speaker 8: a little bit for vanity. You kind of got to
- 30:35Speaker 8: remove yourself and uh, it was, it was. It was
- 30:38Speaker 8: a it was a difficult moment for sure, because that's
- 30:40Speaker 8: your identity for as long as you can think like
- 30:42Speaker 8: I played football. People answer the phone cool, like that's
- 30:45Speaker 8: inevitably going to change. But that doesn't mean you should
- 30:48Speaker 8: keep playing the game if it's for the wrong reasons.
- 30:50Speaker 1: So you go to Buffalo, which you just mentioned, Is
- 30:53Speaker 1: it a different kind of cold because it's freaking cold
- 30:56Speaker 1: in Kansas City, but then Buffalo, it just seems like
- 30:59Speaker 1: it's a different animal up there. Do you have to
- 31:01Speaker 1: get better at playing in cold weather?
- 31:03Speaker 7: Well?
- 31:03Speaker 8: It, Uh, I would say, you know, it's interesting. It's
- 31:06Speaker 8: a great question people do on it. It gets colder
- 31:08Speaker 8: in Kansas City, but the sun's out and that plays
- 31:12Speaker 8: a role because once November first hits in beautiful Buffalo,
- 31:15Speaker 8: New York and Western New York, the sun goes on
- 31:18Speaker 8: holiday and I don't know where it goes. But that
- 31:21Speaker 8: plays a huge role on just your mentals and uh yeah,
- 31:25Speaker 8: I guess the eerie affects snow is so prominent, and
- 31:29Speaker 8: you know, it grabs the garners, the attention of the
- 31:31Speaker 8: media and yourself. I mean on twenty twenty two, we
- 31:35Speaker 8: were going to we were supposed to play at home.
- 31:37Speaker 8: We had to move the game because it snowed seven
- 31:39Speaker 8: feet and twenty four hours.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 31:42Speaker 8: Yeah, And I'll tell you what, Like the dry wall
- 31:44Speaker 8: inside the house started to crack because of the weight
- 31:47Speaker 8: on the uh on the roof, so it definitely, uh
- 31:52Speaker 8: that plays a role and having to kind of nut
- 31:55Speaker 8: up or shut up. And yeah, it's a beautiful thing.
- 31:58Speaker 7: Man.
- 31:58Speaker 8: It's a great place to be in I'll tell you what.
- 32:00Speaker 8: As much as it's cold and kind of grimy, it's
- 32:04Speaker 8: a conducive for great football, great fellowship, and just good
- 32:07Speaker 8: family lifestyle.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Yea, Sean me Darmott was fired. I feel like Buffalo
- 32:11Speaker 1: is a place where you have to get a guy
- 32:13Speaker 1: to come in and actually be a part of the culture.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Like you can't have a coach force at culture onto Buffalo.
- 32:19Speaker 1: It's almost like Nebraska football. They would try with some
- 32:22Speaker 1: of those wide open. Guys, they come in run a
- 32:24Speaker 1: wide open. It was just a little too wide open.
- 32:25Speaker 1: That's just not Nebraska football. As much as you try.
- 32:28Speaker 1: I feel like Buffalo is a bit the same. Like
- 32:30Speaker 1: if you're not from Buffalo and understand what the Bill's
- 32:32Speaker 1: mafia and Bill's culture is like, it ain't gonna fit.
- 32:35Speaker 1: And there have been talks of you know, table and
- 32:39Speaker 1: we could go through all the possibilities, but what kind
- 32:41Speaker 1: of coach does Buffalo need?
- 32:42Speaker 8: Yeah, the culture thing is interesting. I feel like you
- 32:46Speaker 8: get you know, the best way you can learn in
- 32:48Speaker 8: any fast of life is being thrown into the fire.
- 32:51Speaker 8: And there's no other way of being a coach in Buffalo,
- 32:54Speaker 8: New York than being thrown in the fire. So that
- 32:56Speaker 8: way you'll learn. I think the biggest thing for this
- 32:59Speaker 8: team is they made a decision right. You can call
- 33:01Speaker 8: it right or wrong, but there's a decision made where
- 33:04Speaker 8: they felt there was stagnancy or they just needed sometimes
- 33:08Speaker 8: just a change of scenery. You got to find a
- 33:12Speaker 8: guy who is either going to develop your quarterback, continue
- 33:17Speaker 8: pushing that guy, or you have to find another defense
- 33:22Speaker 8: in mind, it's a fascinating thing. It's another one of
- 33:25Speaker 8: those things that if you had a pill that could
- 33:26Speaker 8: tell you exactly what to do, you'd be a billionaire.
- 33:28Speaker 8: Because this is a decision. They're gonna have to solely
- 33:31Speaker 8: make it. No matter what they make, there's going to
- 33:32Speaker 8: be either criticisms or adulation for all this. It's going
- 33:36Speaker 8: to be a remarkable thing to see. And I hopefully
- 33:38Speaker 8: they'd nail it because I got a lot of vested
- 33:40Speaker 8: interest in that area.
- 33:41Speaker 1: What about the Jaguars. You go to the Jaguars, Let's
- 33:43Speaker 1: talk about them as a team. First of all, I
- 33:45Speaker 1: guess we should talk about the JUXTP position of Buffalo
- 33:48Speaker 1: versus Jacksonville. It's got to feel great to go somewhere
- 33:51Speaker 1: where you're not having to double sleeve up, right.
- 33:53Speaker 8: Yeah, it played a huge role in picking that team.
- 33:57Speaker 8: I mean, Doug Peterson was my first ever offensive coordinator
- 34:00Speaker 8: for the Chiefs. That played a role in that.
- 34:03Speaker 7: And then, you.
- 34:04Speaker 8: Know, my wife had always kind of joked if we
- 34:05Speaker 8: had played for another team that if we could make
- 34:08Speaker 8: it below a certain latitude, she'd be very happy. And
- 34:12Speaker 8: then when it actually push came to shove, she was mute.
- 34:15Speaker 8: Because the biggest player in that free agency was actually Pittsburgh.
- 34:20Speaker 8: You know, they offered more money. They were very interested,
- 34:22Speaker 8: and you know, they had brought me in and and
- 34:25Speaker 8: I was hoping I would hate it when I got there,
- 34:26Speaker 8: and I remember calling my wife and be like, I
- 34:28Speaker 8: got I got terrible news for you.
- 34:30Speaker 7: This place is awesome. Mike Tomlin's the man. This is cool.
- 34:32Speaker 8: But then as I'm there, Jacksonville calls, I go down
- 34:36Speaker 8: and that son just snatches my soul man the palm trees,
- 34:39Speaker 8: And then you kind of think outside of yourself. It's
- 34:41Speaker 8: year ten. You know, of course you want to play
- 34:45Speaker 8: for you know, you got to put yourself in the
- 34:46Speaker 8: best position, but also for your family. I mean, they've
- 34:48Speaker 8: they've been through it. Now these nine years in Kansas
- 34:51Speaker 8: City and Buffalo kind of freezing and hunkering down. For you,
- 34:55Speaker 8: it's kind of can you got to meet him halfway?
- 34:57Speaker 8: And yeah, professionally it's stunk. We weren't very good, but
- 35:00Speaker 8: it wasn't because we didn't try hard and we didn't
- 35:02Speaker 8: have a good group of dudes. It was just, you know,
- 35:04Speaker 8: whatever you want to call it just didn't work out.
- 35:05Speaker 8: But to be able to cross the inner coastal every
- 35:07Speaker 8: day on your way home and see them and they're thriving.
- 35:10Speaker 7: I mean, you do that ten times over.
- 35:12Speaker 1: If you're a Jaguars fan, you got to be pretty
- 35:14Speaker 1: excited though, right Liam Cohen comes in. Obviously, they you know,
- 35:18Speaker 1: kind of crapped out in the playoffs. But it wasn't
- 35:20Speaker 1: that it wasn't a great team. I mean, Josh Allen
- 35:22Speaker 1: basically carried that victory, snatched it from them. Trevor Lawrence
- 35:26Speaker 1: had his best season. Jaguar fans pretty pumped up.
- 35:29Speaker 8: Absolutely, it was really fun to be entrenched in a
- 35:33Speaker 8: community where everyone was kind of lit up by the team. Yeah,
- 35:36Speaker 8: talk about a total flip on the head. Liam Cohen
- 35:39Speaker 8: comes in and interjects confidence, swagger, mock see, whatever you
- 35:43Speaker 8: want to call it, and execution to a team that
- 35:47Speaker 8: I was telling folks when I was there, you know,
- 35:48Speaker 8: because when you're when you're kind of stinking it up,
- 35:51Speaker 8: people don't really take your word for a team. I'm
- 35:53Speaker 8: sitting there, I'm like, these two we got some dudes
- 35:55Speaker 8: in this team who can play football, and then they
- 35:57Speaker 8: just had the opportunity to let it fly, execute whatever
- 35:59Speaker 8: you want to call it. I don't know what happened,
- 36:01Speaker 8: but whatever happened was great. They were the most complete
- 36:03Speaker 8: team in my opinion, in the AFC and anyone talking
- 36:07Speaker 8: to folks in Buffalo and or in Jacksonville. I mean,
- 36:10Speaker 8: this was gonna be a great game, and shoot, Jacksonville's
- 36:13Speaker 8: got to going on.
- 36:14Speaker 7: Truly. It's been fun to see when.
- 36:16Speaker 1: You're playing center and you're calling whatever you're calling, you're
- 36:20Speaker 1: pointing to something. I don't know what your point. Now,
- 36:22Speaker 1: the quarterbacks also saying stuff. Do you guys ever have
- 36:24Speaker 1: to like shut each other up so you can hear
- 36:27Speaker 1: your lineman can hear you because he's also yelling at
- 36:29Speaker 1: the receivers, Like is there a role like don't talk
- 36:31Speaker 1: at the same time.
- 36:32Speaker 8: Oh, that's a really interesting question. It's I mean, I
- 36:37Speaker 8: can bore your ass off with a thirty minute thing
- 36:40Speaker 8: about this thing, but I'll give you the kind of
- 36:42Speaker 8: the quick synopsis of this is that, like each play,
- 36:44Speaker 8: whether it's a runner pass, rather as a preordained set
- 36:51Speaker 8: of things that need to be discussed about and need
- 36:54Speaker 8: to be relayed the information right now, the quarterback is
- 36:58Speaker 8: going to do eighty percent of that and he's going
- 37:00Speaker 8: to have final say on whatever. But as a center
- 37:02Speaker 8: or whoever in the offensive line's job is to identify
- 37:04Speaker 8: the certain things for a run could be like if
- 37:08Speaker 8: it's a if it's a base front or a or
- 37:10Speaker 8: a subfront, and maybe the mic linebacker. If it's a pass,
- 37:13Speaker 8: you got to go through all sorts of things as
- 37:15Speaker 8: a five or six man drop. Yes, I mean, dude,
- 37:18Speaker 8: it's time on tasks. Thousands of reps you take care of,
- 37:20Speaker 8: walk through reps, is use those as game reps. It's
- 37:24Speaker 8: all the cliche coach BSS, it rains true, like you
- 37:28Speaker 8: just got to get time on task and then in
- 37:30Speaker 8: the end you just kind of work through that and
- 37:31Speaker 8: figure it out.
- 37:32Speaker 1: If the quarterback is yelling though, and he's changing, he's
- 37:35Speaker 1: calling protect, changeing protection for some reason, are you waiting
- 37:38Speaker 1: for him to finish before you start telling your guys
- 37:39Speaker 1: what's up?
- 37:40Speaker 8: Yeah, you shut your mouth, dude, You shut your You
- 37:42Speaker 8: shut your mouth and listen to what the quarterback has
- 37:44Speaker 8: to say, because no matter what happens, that's the dude
- 37:46Speaker 8: who has to have full range of what's going on.
- 37:49Speaker 8: And then also what he's saying could determine if I
- 37:54Speaker 8: have to change what I'm saying. Like it's just a
- 37:55Speaker 8: beautiful Nancy dude between the two, and it's fun to
- 37:58Speaker 8: see when that thing's going. You kind of getting that
- 38:00Speaker 8: flow state worth communication and execution. It's it's beautiful.
- 38:05Speaker 7: Man.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Which quarterback did you have best early chemistry with?
- 38:09Speaker 8: When I got with Alex Smith, he was year twelve
- 38:11Speaker 8: or thirteen, I was a rookie and I was just
- 38:14Speaker 8: swimming out there. I was trying my best. But he
- 38:16Speaker 8: had the most grasp of what it took at the
- 38:20Speaker 8: time to be a professional, had done it for thirteen years,
- 38:23Speaker 8: really carried me along to be a pro. You know,
- 38:27Speaker 8: Pat was interesting because he stepped in and it was
- 38:30Speaker 8: just electricity from the jump. He knew exactly what he wanted.
- 38:33Speaker 8: And then Josh was the same. I mean, I think
- 38:36Speaker 8: there's more similarities than difference. And then by the time
- 38:39Speaker 8: that I got to Trevor, I'd kind of done the
- 38:40Speaker 8: inverse of what I had done with Alex, which was
- 38:43Speaker 8: I was the older guy and Trevor's going into year four,
- 38:46Speaker 8: So that was an interesting dynamic as well. But I
- 38:48Speaker 8: would probably say Alex just because he was you know,
- 38:52Speaker 8: he was not a father figure is a weird, wild
- 38:54Speaker 8: way to say that, but he was definitely the big
- 38:57Speaker 8: brother in that instance and really kind of guided me
- 38:59Speaker 8: and held my hand through a lot of the stuff
- 39:01Speaker 8: that I had no idea what I was doing.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Would you ever have a quarterback get under center center
- 39:04Speaker 1: be a little to aggressive, like they'd push a little
- 39:05Speaker 1: too hard on your ball to'd be like, dude, chill
- 39:07Speaker 1: out for a second.
- 39:07Speaker 7: That's a great question.
- 39:08Speaker 3: No.
- 39:09Speaker 8: I appreciated that you always wanted to know where they were.
- 39:12Speaker 8: You want knuckle to taint. But now the truth is
- 39:16Speaker 8: you'd like, so, I'd had a bunch of elbow stuff
- 39:18Speaker 8: and surgeries and so as my as the years progressed,
- 39:22Speaker 8: you know, under center usually you want to put that
- 39:24Speaker 8: middle knuckle right on that taint. But I couldn't really
- 39:27Speaker 8: do my full pronation or supernation whatever youone called supernation pronation. Sorry,
- 39:33Speaker 8: when I'd snap it. So like by by the end
- 39:36Speaker 8: of my career, when I got to Trevor, I'm like, dude,
- 39:37Speaker 8: put your hand on my left adductor or my left
- 39:41Speaker 8: growing because this thing is getting there. It's uh, no,
- 39:43Speaker 8: you want to know. I'd rather be almost lift lifted
- 39:45Speaker 8: off the ground by a quarterback than not knowing where
- 39:49Speaker 8: they are.
- 39:49Speaker 1: If you're running all shotgun, and I'm sure you know
- 39:53Speaker 1: during your career you had times where you were shotgun
- 39:56Speaker 1: way more than the quarterback under center. Would you have
- 39:58Speaker 1: to look back constantly to see where they were or
- 40:00Speaker 1: could you just blind snap it?
- 40:02Speaker 7: Yeah, you had to blind snap it.
- 40:03Speaker 8: I mean, yeah, that's one of those things when you
- 40:06Speaker 8: do hundreds of thousands of reps, you know you hopefully
- 40:08Speaker 8: I'll never be able to lose that right, Like I mean,
- 40:11Speaker 8: sometimes you like early in your career, when you don't
- 40:15Speaker 8: remember if it's gun or under. But if you this
- 40:18Speaker 8: is kind of be weirdly technical and boring, but you
- 40:21Speaker 8: get to also understand, like you don't want to change
- 40:23Speaker 8: the way you hold the ball from how you snap
- 40:26Speaker 8: it under center to how you snap it shotgun. So
- 40:29Speaker 8: I had to make that change because there's nothing worse
- 40:31Speaker 8: than from like a play that shifts from gun to
- 40:33Speaker 8: under where you're like messing.
- 40:35Speaker 7: With the ball.
- 40:35Speaker 8: And I have these little wapperberger junior hands in general,
- 40:38Speaker 8: so it's like really already hard to kind of hold
- 40:39Speaker 8: the ball. Now you just kind of throw that thing
- 40:43Speaker 8: back there and let it fly.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Are there times where you would miss snap it or
- 40:48Speaker 1: a bad snap but you wouldn't know because you weren't looking.
- 40:50Speaker 1: But you just have to like tell by everybody what's
- 40:52Speaker 1: happening around you.
- 40:53Speaker 8: Sometimes you know that thing just slid. But yeah, usually
- 40:56Speaker 8: hear the fans real excited. I'm like, there's no way
- 41:01Speaker 8: they got to the quarterback that fast. Or if you're
- 41:03Speaker 8: playing at home, you hear this just guttural seventy two
- 41:06Speaker 8: thousand people holding their breath usually, you know, and then
- 41:10Speaker 8: the defense is screaming ball and they're kind of doing
- 41:12Speaker 8: this weird dick dance around the ball because it's just
- 41:15Speaker 8: you know, the defense is weird. And yeah, I mean
- 41:18Speaker 8: once a year you're gonna have one. I can think
- 41:20Speaker 8: of a few that keep you up at night where
- 41:22Speaker 8: you just, oh, dude, there's nothing worse. You'd rather give
- 41:25Speaker 8: up twenty sacks and give up one bad you know, snap.
- 41:29Speaker 7: That sucks.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Who would line up against you that you were like, man,
- 41:31Speaker 1: that's gonna be a long day.
- 41:32Speaker 8: I mean, you want to know how I knew it
- 41:34Speaker 8: was time to retire. Whoever was up there, I was like, damn.
- 41:38Speaker 7: Stuff, Like that's when I knew it was trying to retire.
- 41:42Speaker 8: You know, there's there's different guys you think about in
- 41:44Speaker 8: your career. There's the anomaly, the guy who, when you
- 41:46Speaker 8: asked this question, you removed from the factor because it's
- 41:49Speaker 8: just not fair, which is Aaron Bonald. I mean, he
- 41:52Speaker 8: was such a generational talent, maybe one of the greatest,
- 41:55Speaker 8: if not the greatest defensive player to play it from
- 41:57Speaker 8: the free technique position. That being said, I mean in
- 42:01Speaker 8: the in the AFC South right where you guys are,
- 42:04Speaker 8: Jeffrey Simmons is a profound football player and he's just angry,
- 42:10Speaker 8: which kind of throws another wrench into that. You have
- 42:13Speaker 8: a guy du I mean, and also when you got
- 42:16Speaker 8: into the league, like my first start was against Vince
- 42:18Speaker 8: will Fork and JJ Watt, Like I'm a young pup
- 42:21Speaker 8: and Vince is there and you're just like, oh my god,
- 42:23Speaker 8: this is the NFL.
- 42:24Speaker 7: This is crazy.
- 42:26Speaker 8: Yeah, it just depends. There's a ton and there's loads
- 42:28Speaker 8: of them. I mean, I got my ass kick more
- 42:29Speaker 8: than I kicked anyone's ass, that's for sure. I don't
- 42:31Speaker 8: know how I stuck around that long.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Some of those guys they would move around right so
- 42:34Speaker 1: you would not you would not know where they were
- 42:36Speaker 1: lining up, and they would. If they're moving these guys around,
- 42:40Speaker 1: what would be like, Oh great, this play it's freaking
- 42:42Speaker 1: Aaron Donald.
- 42:43Speaker 8: Yeah sucks, dude, Yeah, you pray you're like, please, you
- 42:46Speaker 8: can't break the huddle fast enough and look around and
- 42:48Speaker 8: see where this guy's lying. And then like, now there's
- 42:51Speaker 8: this new deal where these day have these edge rushers
- 42:54Speaker 8: like you think of Miles Garrett or Micah Parsons or
- 42:56Speaker 8: I mean Rashan Gary did it once or twice, which
- 42:58Speaker 8: is like they want up in like a basketball stance
- 43:01Speaker 8: over the center and they do this like pretend crossover
- 43:04Speaker 8: and then they have this giant two way go and
- 43:06Speaker 8: all you think about before the snap is I cannot
- 43:09Speaker 8: give up a sack or this is going to be
- 43:10Speaker 8: everywhere all the time. It's going to follow me for
- 43:13Speaker 8: the rest of my life. My kids are going to.
- 43:15Speaker 7: See this one day.
- 43:17Speaker 8: My mom's gonna see this like so and then it's uh, yeah,
- 43:21Speaker 8: I mean you talk about it was easy to retire
- 43:23Speaker 8: by then it was nuts.
- 43:24Speaker 7: Yeah I was. I was done.
- 43:25Speaker 1: How do you end up going from Austin, Texas to Missouri?
- 43:29Speaker 8: Oh, I'll tell you how I go from Austin, Texas
- 43:33Speaker 8: to Missouri. Well, after growing up listening to ninety six
- 43:37Speaker 8: point seven Kiss FM with Bobby Bones and Lunchbox out school,
- 43:42Speaker 8: shout out to the boys, this has been kind of
- 43:43Speaker 8: a full circle moment. Of course, you've grown up in Austin.
- 43:47Speaker 8: You bleed burnt orange. And I remember I went for
- 43:50Speaker 8: a small little schools called Saint Michael's right in Barton Creek.
- 43:53Speaker 8: I commuted because we didn't have the cheese to live
- 43:55Speaker 8: around there.
- 43:55Speaker 7: But uh, I remember my.
- 43:58Speaker 8: Coach had brought like you because they little diss back then,
- 44:00Speaker 8: they weren't these huddle things or whatever. They bring it
- 44:03Speaker 8: into like the coaches clinic for the Texas Longhorns, and
- 44:06Speaker 8: they give it to Major apple White and Major apple
- 44:08Speaker 8: White looks at my my thing, and he sees where
- 44:11Speaker 8: the high school is and throws it in the trash
- 44:13Speaker 8: in front of my coaches and walks off. And then
- 44:16Speaker 8: by then I was just cool with whoever wanted to
- 44:19Speaker 8: have me like. So Missouri was the first one to offer.
- 44:21Speaker 8: I was like, sick, let's go. And yeah, the tides
- 44:24Speaker 8: had changed a little bit, And if I had to
- 44:25Speaker 8: do it over again, I'd a thousand percent do it
- 44:27Speaker 8: over again because I did enjoy my time at Missouri,
- 44:30Speaker 8: and Texas stunk cheese while I was there, so it
- 44:32Speaker 8: was cool.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Yeah I hate Texas, I'd just hate Texas in general,
- 44:35Speaker 1: like I'm a Arkansas guy, and I love Austin, but
- 44:38Speaker 1: I hated the long Horns.
- 44:40Speaker 8: Oh man, it's tough. It's tough because the thing is
- 44:42Speaker 8: as much as you love Austin and they get it's
- 44:44Speaker 8: got so much going on for it. The thing that
- 44:46Speaker 8: pisses me off is like when Texas, when the Longhorns
- 44:49Speaker 8: do well, Austin seemed to do well, and I wish
- 44:52Speaker 8: there was a disconnect because I can't stand them.
- 44:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I love Austin, It's my favorite city, but I
- 44:57Speaker 1: hate the long part of that's just being an Arkansas
- 44:59Speaker 1: guy who he's your head coach.
- 45:00Speaker 8: When you were at Missouri, a guy named Gary Pinkell.
- 45:03Speaker 8: He was there for about I want to say, thirteen
- 45:07Speaker 8: years before that was a tweedo for a bunch of years.
- 45:10Speaker 8: He was Nick Saban's roommate in college and then they
- 45:14Speaker 8: were Ga GA's together and yeah, good dude, great guy
- 45:18Speaker 8: still lives there and kind of we hang when we can.
- 45:21Speaker 1: I have become friends with Barry Odom, who came in
- 45:24Speaker 1: after who was what defensive coordinator? While Yeah, while you
- 45:29Speaker 1: were there.
- 45:29Speaker 7: When I was there, he was actually the no. He
- 45:33Speaker 7: was decent. No.
- 45:33Speaker 8: He was a linebackers coach and then went to d
- 45:36Speaker 8: C at Memphis, and then he got the defensive coording
- 45:40Speaker 8: job in Missouri during our bowl game my senior year.
- 45:43Speaker 8: So he came out and then he took over as
- 45:45Speaker 8: the head coach after. But he's a great guy. You know,
- 45:48Speaker 8: he's got his co work cut out for him at Purdue.
- 45:50Speaker 8: But they got a bunch of good dudes over there.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Let me ask you one final question. When a backup
- 45:54Speaker 1: quarterback comes in referring to what's happening in Denver this weekend,
- 45:59Speaker 1: is it up to you to have Hey's especially midgame,
- 46:04Speaker 1: like all right, calm down, I got you, Like to
- 46:05Speaker 1: let him know that you kind of got his back,
- 46:07Speaker 1: even though he's kind of rushed into this.
- 46:09Speaker 8: That is so dependent on the player, the relationship you
- 46:13Speaker 8: guys have prior. It also depends on what your relationship
- 46:18Speaker 8: is and the rest of the team. Like so say
- 46:20Speaker 8: I was a year eight or nine guy, Yeah, absolutely,
- 46:22Speaker 8: were you a captain? You have a sea on your chest?
- 46:25Speaker 8: Is this the kind of guy who already runs pretty
- 46:27Speaker 8: hot and the last thing you want to do is
- 46:29Speaker 8: get in this fed not get in his face with
- 46:30Speaker 8: like console him, because then he's feeling slighted like a babe,
- 46:33Speaker 8: or is this a guy that you need to love
- 46:35Speaker 8: up a little bit because that gets his confidence knowing.
- 46:37Speaker 8: So there's just so many factors. That being said, they
- 46:41Speaker 8: have a guy named Davis Webb who's kind of a
- 46:43Speaker 8: hot ticket name for a head coaching gig here soon
- 46:45Speaker 8: he's the quarterbacks coach there and he is the golden
- 46:49Speaker 8: ticket for the Sean Payton team to go to the
- 46:51Speaker 8: Super Bowl. He'll get Jaredson him right to roll everybody.

- 48:13Speaker 1: how it plays out. Then you have in the NFC
- 48:15Speaker 1: where the Seahawks are playing well just awesome right now.
- 48:18Speaker 1: But I think i'mouna take the Rams for no other

- 49:29Speaker 1: All right before we go, NFL records that will probably
- 49:31Speaker 1: never be broken. As we get closer to the NFL
- 49:34Speaker 1: Conference championship games. We thought it'd be nice to look
- 49:37Speaker 1: back at number one biggest comeback. I watched this one,
- 49:41Speaker 1: well some of it, so you couldn't have.
- 49:44Speaker 5: Yeah, well, year Reborn Patriots twenty eight to three in
- 49:46Speaker 5: the Super Bowl.
- 49:48Speaker 1: No, that's not the biggest, nice dude, Borne, Okay, so
- 49:53Speaker 1: you'd have been two. So I knew he was lying.
- 49:55Speaker 1: Nineteen ninety three, the Buffalo Bills found themselves trailing thirty
- 49:59Speaker 1: f I did three and the third quarter against the
- 50:01Speaker 1: Houston Oilers is a Frank Craig gaming. I was watching
- 50:05Speaker 1: remember that one and my grandma's I turned it off,
- 50:07Speaker 1: and then I turned it back on and saw the end.
- 50:08Speaker 1: You really did? Do you remember watching that?
- 50:10Speaker 7: I real?
- 50:10Speaker 1: Yep. I remember not watching all of it because it
- 50:12Speaker 1: was the game was over and I was turning the
- 50:14Speaker 1: game back on. Wow, I saw the fourth quarter.
- 50:16Speaker 5: That's good for you to turn it back on in
- 50:18Speaker 5: that day and age before, like you knew there was
- 50:20Speaker 5: a coming back.
- 50:21Speaker 1: No, the next game was about to come on. I
- 50:23Speaker 1: was gonna watch wrestling orself. It was like a noon game.
- 50:24Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, so something else was on and I was like,
- 50:26Speaker 1: wow about that fewest team rushing yards in nineteen ninety four,
- 50:30Speaker 1: the Green Bay Packers held Barry Sanders and the Detroit
- 50:33Speaker 1: Lions to minus four rushing yards. Wow. Fewest team rushing
- 50:37Speaker 1: yards in a win. The Patriots in twenty fifteen put
- 50:40Speaker 1: up fourteen rushing yards in a thirty five thirty one
- 50:43Speaker 1: win over the Baltimore Ravens.
- 50:44Speaker 5: What I'm talking about?
- 50:45Speaker 1: I remember that, hm, I was alive for that one.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Most career wins between the Patriots and Buccaneers. Tom Brady
- 50:53Speaker 1: won thirty eight postseason games. Patrick Mahomes is second with
- 50:56Speaker 1: only seventeen.
- 50:58Speaker 7: Wow.
- 50:58Speaker 1: So these are all playoff records. Yeah, okay, if I
- 51:02Speaker 1: didn't say that, I probably you didn't say that. So
- 51:04Speaker 1: did you get that? Did you get the Jet Championship
- 51:06Speaker 1: and fewest overall points? In nineteen seventy, the Dallas Cowboys
- 51:09Speaker 1: took down the Detroit Lions with a score five to zero.
- 51:12Speaker 4: Wow, there's the safety in there.
- 51:14Speaker 1: Safety and field field.
- 51:16Speaker 4: Thanks Eddie damn Man. I did the math real quick.
- 51:21Speaker 1: Biggest margin of victory This one happened back in nineteen
- 51:24Speaker 1: forty when the Chicago Bears took down the Washington team
- 51:27Speaker 1: they were the Redskins then in the playoffs, seventy three
- 51:29Speaker 1: to zero.
- 51:30Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, crazy.
- 51:33Speaker 1: Most punts. In nineteen eighty seven, the New York Jets
- 51:36Speaker 1: met Cleveland. It was a double overtime game. The Jets
- 51:39Speaker 1: punted fourteen times.
- 51:41Speaker 4: Dude, that would be a great pay awful game when
- 51:43Speaker 4: you like do the drive the drivers at the driver's
- 51:45Speaker 4: ault bets all punts? Yeah, back in eighty seven. Hard
- 51:48Speaker 4: to get your cell phone them.
- 51:51Speaker 7: That one.
- 51:52Speaker 1: It's hard to get draft kings there. Most seasons without
- 51:54Speaker 1: a playoff.
- 51:55Speaker 5: Win, most are we guessing a number of the team.
- 52:00Speaker 5: The team I'm gonna go and already I mean.
- 52:10Speaker 1: The Browns.
- 52:12Speaker 5: I'm going to say the Jets.
- 52:14Speaker 1: The Browns have won with Baker. Yeah, the Jets are
- 52:18Speaker 1: not it since it's the Miami Dolphins. Wow, they have
- 52:21Speaker 1: the longest active streak without a playoff win since the
- 52:23Speaker 1: year two thousand. Oh dang, that's well short. The longest ever. Wow,
- 52:28Speaker 1: that is the Cardinals who went fifty years. But the
- 52:31Speaker 1: longest current one is fifty years before Kurt Warner.
- 52:37Speaker 4: Is that when they went, That's when they that's when
- 52:40Speaker 4: they were.
- 52:41Speaker 1: They won with Kurt Warner, won Super Bowl and they
- 52:44Speaker 1: want to playoff game with Jake Plumber. I was watching
- 52:47Speaker 1: the Frank Craig's.
- 52:48Speaker 4: Right, that's right. Their grandma's out.
- 52:50Speaker 1: And most career receiving yards. What wide receiver has it,
- 52:54Speaker 1: Cherry Cherry Rice.
- 52:56Speaker 4: You're right, yeah, yeah.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Two and forty five receiving yards during his postseason career.
- 53:00Speaker 1: It's crazy there you go, all right, who's going to
- 53:01Speaker 1: win Game one? Patriots?
- 53:03Speaker 5: Patriots?
- 53:04Speaker 4: The Pats?
- 53:05Speaker 1: You obviously think. I think if the Patriots win, dude,
- 53:08Speaker 1: you have to go to the super Bowl. You're already
- 53:10Speaker 1: going to be out there.
- 53:11Speaker 4: It's a once in a lifetime deal.
- 53:12Speaker 5: Dude, I know guys already there.
- 53:15Speaker 1: It's a no brainer. And you want all that money
- 53:17Speaker 1: in our league?
- 53:18Speaker 4: Yes, oh, we don't remind him now he's really going
- 53:20Speaker 4: to cancel the thrill.
- 53:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I forgot about it.
- 53:22Speaker 5: Can you imagine if we won, like, you know, fifteen
- 53:24Speaker 5: hundred piece and then I'd be like, yeah, I could go,
- 53:26Speaker 5: but yeah, see I got to pay that off.
- 53:28Speaker 1: I realistic.
- 53:30Speaker 4: How much do you think you'll spend on drinks? Because
- 53:31Speaker 4: we were like that was a priority. You're like, man,
- 53:34Speaker 4: a hotel's.
- 53:34Speaker 5: Alcohol like it's in Okay, first to San Francisco, which
- 53:38Speaker 5: is super expensive, ye, Second to super Bowl weekend even
- 53:41Speaker 5: more expensive. And third, I like to drink alcohol, so
- 53:44Speaker 5: it's gonna be really expensive.
- 53:46Speaker 4: So I figured because you hear him what he says, like, Man,
- 53:49Speaker 4: I'm going to have to spend on hotels, drinks, food.
- 53:53Speaker 4: It's like that was second on the list.
- 53:54Speaker 5: Or I could just yeah, I could just pre game
- 53:56Speaker 5: a lot.
- 53:56Speaker 1: But yeah, oh you're talking about at the stadium. Both
- 54:01Speaker 1: really both because you can go to the convenience store.
- 54:04Speaker 5: That's what I was just saying. I guess I can
- 54:05Speaker 5: just go to like the seven eleven, not even seven eleven.
- 54:07Speaker 4: But have you seen those videos of people trying to
- 54:09Speaker 4: smuggle alcohol into like cruises.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Huh?
- 54:11Speaker 5: I did it once.
- 54:12Speaker 4: They use like contact solution bottles and all kinds of stuff.
- 54:15Speaker 1: You can't take alcohol into a cruise. That's part of
- 54:18Speaker 1: their money making deal. Yeah, I didn't know that if
- 54:19Speaker 1: they were like hardcore about it.
- 54:21Speaker 4: And now there's just like some videos of like the
- 54:23Speaker 4: people be like I can't bring this on this straight vodka.
- 54:27Speaker 1: They would go through their contact solutions.
- 54:28Speaker 4: Yeah, well, there was like there'd be like something metal
- 54:30Speaker 4: detector or whatever would go off and then they'd be
- 54:32Speaker 4: in their bags. The video would start with them looking
- 54:35Speaker 4: through the bags. I don't know, why are you sure?
- 54:36Speaker 10: We like AI you get fooled by every a probably
- 54:39Speaker 10: who knows, Because if you're taking in some Contact Lend
- 54:43Speaker 10: Solution bottle this big, you're not really smuggling that much
- 54:45Speaker 10: in If you show up with ten bottles of.
- 54:47Speaker 1: Contact Solution, I think that's a tip off that you're
- 54:49Speaker 1: smuggling something.
- 54:50Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I don't think they.
- 54:52Speaker 1: I guess it depends on which one you smuggled on
- 54:53Speaker 1: no cruise.
- 54:54Speaker 5: Yeah, I just it was like a six pack of
- 54:57Speaker 5: like soda or something and just three or four of
- 54:59Speaker 5: them filled with alcohol. Just retighten it. They don't check
- 55:02Speaker 5: that RD.
- 55:02Speaker 4: We used to do camelbacks like a music festival straight
- 55:06Speaker 4: back in it because they would allow water, yes, and
- 55:08Speaker 4: they wouldn't check it. Yeah, but I think now they're
- 55:10Speaker 4: onto that. Now they're probably just like.
- 55:12Speaker 1: Don't you need water?
- 55:14Speaker 4: You do, but they just like what I have to
- 55:15Speaker 4: do is smell it water.
- 55:17Speaker 1: What I'm saying, you going you buy water while you're there,
- 55:21Speaker 1: But you just smuggled in vodka.
- 55:23Speaker 5: To make sure buy more water?
- 55:26Speaker 1: What's your question? One person? Actual water? Yeah? Did somebody
- 55:31Speaker 1: have real water?
- 55:32Speaker 4: You have water there? They have like water fountains there
- 55:34Speaker 4: where you can like fill up whatever.
- 55:35Speaker 1: But they allowed the camel backs. They would when we
- 55:38Speaker 1: were going to music festivals.
- 55:39Speaker 4: They would never check them.
- 55:41Speaker 1: Yeah all right, well good story guys, Thank you smuggling.
- 55:45Speaker 1: We may have an ice storm, big snowstorm this weekend,
- 55:48Speaker 1: so we're gonna be snowed. Hopefully we have I have
- 55:51Speaker 1: phone cells, I'll be able to watch the games.
- 55:53Speaker 4: Yeah there's that. Yeah, but yeah there's no power, no
- 55:57Speaker 4: games for on the TV. And then how are you
- 56:00Speaker 4: gonna charge I guess you can go to your car
- 56:02Speaker 4: right and charge your phone.
- 56:03Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a good point.
- 56:04Speaker 4: Yeah, you gotta get gas. Make sure you have affordable charger.
- 56:07Speaker 1: I need to get gas. So do I do we
- 56:10Speaker 1: think it's gonna hit? Like predict it now? How bad
- 56:12Speaker 1: do you think the storm is going to be? Because
- 56:13Speaker 1: right now they're saying it's a once in a lifetime snowstorm.
- 56:18Speaker 5: For me, it'll be once in a lifetime because I've
- 56:21Speaker 5: never been through a big one. But yeah, I think
- 56:24Speaker 5: so what are they saying like eighteen, Well, are crazy
- 56:27Speaker 5: because I'm just like to be as crazy as they're saying.
- 56:30Speaker 5: But I do think it's gonna be crazy.
- 56:32Speaker 1: It's like six to eight inches. But it's the ice
- 56:34Speaker 1: that's way worse.
- 56:36Speaker 4: That's trouble.
- 56:36Speaker 1: Is trouble because ice knocks out power.
- 56:38Speaker 5: Then yes, and it's Nashville, so we don't clear like
- 56:40Speaker 5: they don't clear it very quick.
- 56:41Speaker 4: Or I've already driven around and they have like salt,
- 56:44Speaker 4: they've salted the roads a lot already.
- 56:46Speaker 1: That's of right now. How bad do you think it's
- 56:48Speaker 1: gonna be? Ready?
- 56:49Speaker 4: I think it's going to be moderate, Like it's not
- 56:52Speaker 4: gonna be as bad.
- 56:52Speaker 1: As they're saying. Will we lose power?
- 56:54Speaker 4: No? I say, we don't lose power. I don't think
- 56:57Speaker 4: the whole city will lose power. We'll probably have a few.
- 57:00Speaker 4: You'll probably see a few we're like, oh this this
- 57:02Speaker 4: area of town lost their power.
- 57:04Speaker 5: If you live near Eddie, then good luck.
- 57:07Speaker 1: You want us you zoom out and the only snow
- 57:11Speaker 1: and ice is over Eddie's house, then we know it's cursed.
- 57:15Speaker 1: He's like that Charlie Brown character and has a rain
- 57:17Speaker 1: cloud over there all the time. Yeah, all right, we're out,
- 57:22Speaker 1: Thank you guys. I don't know we'll see early next week.
- 57:27Speaker 1: Go patriots for you and also for us, because we
- 57:30Speaker 1: need to lessen our losses in our league. Other than that,
- 57:35Speaker 1: I hope you guys have a good, safe weekend. If
- 57:36Speaker 1: you get hit by the snowstorm, I hope you have
- 57:37Speaker 1: plenty of food. And that's it. We'll see you guys
- 57:40Speaker 1: on Monday. All right, well, Mike, all right, see you guys.
