- 1:15loss. I highly recommend hopping on
- 1:19their website. Which I'll have in the show
- 1:22notes and sign up. It will bring you so much
- 1:25comfort healing renewal and hope as Kelsey and Alison have both
- 1:31walked through the loss of a baby and they know how it feels
- 1:36and the process. It takes to heal.
- 1:39They are both going to talk about each of their experiences
- 1:42and what they saw God do and their lives through this
- 1:46tragedy. Hi Kelsey and Allison.
- 1:49Thank you for coming. Here I'm gu thank you for having
- 1:53us. Yeah.
- 1:55Well I mean, I can't imagine walking through this.
- 2:00The only thing I could say is I had a miscarriage at one month.
- 2:06I was only a month along and not was devastating.
- 2:09And I just remember it was over Christmas and that was supposed
- 2:13to be joyful and happy, and it was just full of tears for me.
- 2:18And so I just I want to say thank you for coming on here and
- 2:24sharing your story with us because it's so difficult.
- 2:29But that I'm proud of you, too. Turning such sorrow and grief
- 2:35into a Ministry, to help and support other mama's going
- 2:40through this similar experience. So Allison.
- 2:45I'm going to start out with you. If you could just share a little
- 2:48bit about yourself. And what this experience look
- 2:53like for you. Yes.
- 2:55Well, thank you. Yeah, it was January 24th of
- 3:002018 and I was two days away from being induced with my
- 3:06second daughter. Cora, I had a two-year-old at
- 3:09the time Millie. And she was, you know, like any
- 3:13sibling is elated to be a big sister and so I had a very
- 3:19normal pregnancy Everything just went so well.
- 3:22No, nothing to write home about. If you will and on the 24th, I
- 3:27woke up and realized that I was not feeling Cora move as much as
- 3:32she had been. And I wasn't concerned because
- 3:36I'm two days away from delivering her, like, there's no
- 3:39room to do anything anymore, right.
- 3:44I remember reaching out to my doctor, I just had a doctor's
- 3:46appointment and she said, you know what, I know everything's
- 3:49fine, but just go to the Federal and get checked out and many
- 3:53things going on that you will be in the right place to be taken
- 3:55care of. And so, I shot my husband, a
- 3:59text and I said, hey, I'm heading up to the hospital just
- 4:02to, you know, have a another ultrasound.
- 4:04I make sure everything's okay. I'll let you know what's going
- 4:06on because he was already at work.
- 4:08So I show up and a sweet nurse comes in and tries to find a
- 4:14heartbeat, and can't find it. And so, she said, well, let me
- 4:18call it another nurse and, you know, Sometimes this happens,
- 4:22but let's not be concerned. And I was I've repented a lot
- 4:28about this let me just say, but I remember thinking how can you
- 4:32be so bad at your job? Like I'm all baby at this way.
- 4:36How can you not find a heartbeat?
- 4:37Yeah, I'm Just Your Problem. It's writing super high on my
- 4:43horse at this point, right? This second nurse comes in and
- 4:47again she can't find a heart be either.
- 4:50And he was after trying for several minutes that she finally
- 4:54just put her hands on either side of my shoulder and said,
- 4:57I'm so sorry, but she's gone. Mmm, Yeah.
- 5:01And it's hard to describe what it feels like when your world is
- 5:07flipped upside down like that, right?
- 5:09You go from such intense joy to all of a sudden How do I even
- 5:15function anymore? And I was there alone.
- 5:18My husband was at work. And so I called him and he came
- 5:22over right away and we just began the most grueling season
- 5:27of grieving, of questioning and of just being frustrated and
- 5:32angry. And I went on to deliver a very
- 5:38healthy looking baby. Girl, who is 6 pounds and she
- 5:44Just she was such a mover when I was pregnant with her, that she
- 5:48had gotten Tangled Up and her umbilical cord, which was just
- 5:53shocking to me because I remember thinking nobody tells
- 5:57you about these things, you know, when you get pregnant
- 5:59nobody says, well here's all the things I'm gonna rock, which is
- 6:03wise. I mean they should do that but
- 6:05right? Or you hear about it and you're
- 6:09like, oh that won't ever happen to me that you know that that's
- 6:13for other people. People or you hear that, you
- 6:15know, that's like one in a million.
- 6:18Yeah, exactly. And you know the worst part is
- 6:21when the nurses come in and I say, oh this never happens.
- 6:24This never happens like well, it's happened.
- 6:27Yeah, yeah. I mean we we spent time as a
- 6:33family of four, we invited our daughter Millie to come in and
- 6:37to meet her sister and really had to For lack of a better
- 6:43term, grow up really fast, you know, as children ourselves
- 6:48having kids and then having to explain to a two-year-old that
- 6:53your sister is in heaven when we are trying to wrap our minds
- 6:57around that it was just it was devastating.
- 7:02Hmm. I am so sorry.
- 7:04I heard about that happening while you're pregnant and and
- 7:10then as you're further along, Ang that it could because it
- 7:13gets so Squishy in there that that could happen.
- 7:16And I remember constantly eating something cold, they say to do
- 7:22stuck on an ice cube. So the baby would move, right?
- 7:25And I remember that being one of my scary fears and making sure
- 7:31that they can move around. So I can't imagine other than
- 7:36one time, I did go in. I was probably, I don't know,
- 7:40four or five months pregnant with my daughter.
- 7:42And the doctor for like just briefly probably, I mean, I felt
- 7:47like, you know, a huge minute but it was probably just 10-15
- 7:52seconds and she just couldn't find the heartbeat, you know?
- 7:56And just that slight second there, your heart just drops,
- 8:00you know and you're just like, oh my gosh you know so to have
- 8:04that just come into your life and reality and have that
- 8:09happen. I'm so sorry.
- 8:11That is Got to be the most devastating news, like you're
- 8:16saying and how your life just got flipped upside down.
- 8:20Kelsey, you share your experience.
- 8:23And then I want to go into both girls, how God showed up in her
- 8:28life and the healing process with that.
- 8:32Yeah, absolutely. So, Jamie Alison and I were
- 8:36co-workers and best friends. We worked less than 10 feet away
- 8:41from each other, and we were Pregnant together Alice with her
- 8:45daughter, Cora and myself with our son Whitson.
- 8:49And so besides planning, wonderful events.
- 8:52We also had planned an arranged marriage between Korra and good
- 8:57steel. Oh yeah.
- 9:01And you know loving life and just, you know, we unfortunately
- 9:08went from planning because we say planning playdates to
- 9:11planning our babies, Funerals and less than two weeks.
- 9:14Apart from one another. Wow.
- 9:17To go back to January 24th of 2018.
- 9:22I will forever have that day just kind of ingrained in my
- 9:26memory. As I remember our boss, just
- 9:29coming through our home and saying, I need everyone in the
- 9:33Board Room right now, and I knew that I wasn't.
- 9:36As she had texted me that morning she was going to go in
- 9:39and get checked out and I started walking through that
- 9:43hallway. I just hit me and it's just like
- 9:48a ton like a truck really just hitting me.
- 9:52And I remember like having to like catch myself on a cubicle
- 9:56wall to not go down because it just hit me because I knew at
- 10:01that moment what had happened. And I know the pain that my best
- 10:06friend was experiencing and so, Knowing knowing that pain.
- 10:14As I sending that I have, unfortunately, walkthrough
- 10:17myself. I wanted to be near Allison side
- 10:22at that, at that very moment. And so, I drove to the hospital
- 10:25right away. And and then for the next week
- 10:28and a half, it was, it was a kind of a battle if you will,
- 10:33of, like just questions, like, how do I support her as I'm
- 10:37still pregnant? Can we even be friends?
- 10:40And the, I going to have to quit my job.
- 10:43You know, it would Allison quit her job.
- 10:45Would it be too difficult to see me still pregnant little?
- 10:50Did we know that God was weaving a story far greater than we
- 10:53could ever imagine. And so it was on February 9th
- 10:58that I went in for my last ultrasound, right?
- 11:02Right under 38 weeks and the same thing happened to me,
- 11:07Julie, ultrasound after ultrasound tech came in, they
- 11:12could not find a heartbeat with no reason why.
- 11:16And I went home that day to come back the very next morning for
- 11:21my rescheduled C-section, and it was then that I delivered a
- 11:278-pound, strawberry blonde, curly-haired, little boy that
- 11:32looked perfect physically that little did we know that he had a
- 11:40rare chromosome mutation. Trisomy 12.
- 11:44And so yeah, we found out about a month after he was born and
- 11:50Allison. Was one of the first people that
- 11:52knew as I called her. And I just remember her, like,
- 11:58on the phone saying, like, you've got to be kidding me like
- 12:03this, there's no way. There's no way this is
- 12:06happening. Hmm.
- 12:08So yeah, that is again, just part of that story that God was
- 12:11weaving and we spent that that spring and that summer grieving,
- 12:16and just asking those hard questions of why God, you know
- 12:20what? What is your purpose in this?
- 12:23Like what you are a good father, what could possibly, what pop,
- 12:29good could possibly come out of this.
- 12:31Hurry. Equation, right again.
- 12:35So sorry and to have you both be working in the same place
- 12:40together and have that happen like you said within two weeks,
- 12:44that's just amazing. And how you were even thinking
- 12:48Kelsey, when you are pregnant, how would Allison feel and then
- 12:53to have that happen to you too. Obviously there is a bigger
- 12:57picture here so what'd that healing Process look like I mean
- 13:03obviously grieving of course you know and I'm sure there's
- 13:09phases, I hear of the different tiers of grieving so kind of
- 13:14walk us through. How did you guys deal with those
- 13:18emotions? And when did you really start to
- 13:22see a little piece of you start to heal?
- 13:29That's a good question. I Most people would agree with
- 13:33this, if you've walked through a grieving season, it's ugly,
- 13:38yeah, it's full of ugly crying. And, you know, just throwing
- 13:44everything that you used to know, out the window and having
- 13:48to figure out how to pick yourself back up off the ground
- 13:53and continue to move forward. Not only for yourself, but for
- 13:57the people in your lives. And so God, He's so so good and
- 14:05not only were Kelsey and I blast with amazing husbands who were
- 14:10there to hold us and agree with us and vice versa.
- 14:14I mean, that grieving with your spouse is it's a whole other
- 14:20Beast because you grieve differently as men and women and
- 14:24we grieved on different days. You know I would have a hard day
- 14:28in my husband would have a good day and so he would pick me up
- 14:31on those days and And then vice versa but what was really
- 14:35special was that Kelsey and I were on that same plane as well
- 14:41where I would have a bad day and Kelsey would have a good day and
- 14:44she would say, okay we're going to sit and we're going to cry
- 14:47through this or to be a mad about it, but we're not going to
- 14:50pitch your tent here. You know, let's acknowledge the
- 14:53feelings. Let's be there in the moment and
- 14:55then I'm going to help you stand back up and we're going to move
- 14:58forward and that to this day. Is one of the greatest gifts
- 15:03that I've ever received of having a woman who I know is
- 15:07going to, always point you back to Christ.
- 15:09Yeah. Who's going to allow me to be
- 15:12broken? But say God is still good even
- 15:16in the darkness, even when we don't understand.
- 15:19And I'm going to walk through it with you, it was one of the
- 15:22greatest gifts during that season.
- 15:25Yeah, that was a long season. Oh yeah, I'm sure.
- 15:30I mean, it reminds me of that. Scripture verse two are better
- 15:34than one and you see that in marriage, like you were saying
- 15:39where one has an awful day or going through health or
- 15:43financial loss or whatever, something devastating your life
- 15:46and your marriage. And I could even see that, you
- 15:49know, my husband's having a good day and you know, and I'm down
- 15:53in the dumps and then the opposite another day and then
- 15:56just to have a girlfriend that has gone through that also to
- 16:01lean on On and support one and another and encourage each
- 16:05other. So, that's beautiful and itself
- 16:07right there. So, Kelsey, how about you?
- 16:12I think the biggest gift that God gave me and in my grieving,
- 16:15season was Allison because I mean, I vividly remember sitting
- 16:20on her couch, but multiple days just crying together.
- 16:24And like, asking these questions of, what do we do now?
- 16:27Like, where do we go from here? What is God doing?
- 16:31And You know, we knew that this story was going to be bigger
- 16:36than us, you know, because it just it was so close.
- 16:42It was so Eerie. It was so unique.
- 16:46And so I jokingly say if our, if our couches could tell the
- 16:50stories of, you know, just screaming into pillows and the
- 16:55tears that the couch is absorbed, you know, buy us a new
- 17:00couch, Being able to verbalize to them.
- 17:18Like I'm having a hard day and not staying silent.
- 17:22And saying, this is what I'm struggling with.
- 17:24I'm angry at God. I don't understand, I don't, I
- 17:28don't know where to go from here.
- 17:30But again, having that Allison said that person, that is not
- 17:34going because going to sit with you for a while, but yet
- 17:39deciding collectively that we can't stay here, that God still
- 17:44is going to, he's still at work, he's still on the throne and
- 17:49we're going to seek him out together in the midst of our
- 17:52pain and having that Community is so vitally important.
- 17:58And something that we talk about every every chance that we can
- 18:02You know, to not stay silent to share your story because when
- 18:07you share your story, it gives others permission to share
- 18:10theirs as well. So, yeah, yeah, I know it's like
- 18:15statement in the podcast and my mission statement is so that we
- 18:20don't feel like we're alone and what we go through.
- 18:23And so have you guys share your experience is going to give
- 18:28another woman that I'm not alone in this. s, you know there are
- 18:34there is a community that I can involve myself in to help me
- 18:40with this healing and even if you feel like you're on the
- 18:43other side, just to know that there's other women that are
- 18:47there to help each other and encourage each other still to
- 18:52keep going and be a mentor, I'm sure you've got mentors there
- 18:57that can help other women as well that it's been years since
- 19:03they went through it. So, I had a question.
- 19:08I know you knowing you're grieving, I know experiences
- 19:12that I've had just I'm so for just pouring out my heart to the
- 19:18Lord, and just give them all my junk and yucky stuff.
- 19:23I was wondering if you guys ever, you'd mention angry with
- 19:28God, did you ever feel like you're losing your faith?
- 19:31Where Just like, is this all fake?
- 19:34I mean is everything. I believed is it no longer like
- 19:38the truth. Absolutely.
- 19:41I wish that I could say that Woodson was the only one that I
- 19:45have in heaven. I have five children that are in
- 19:48heaven with the most recent Jamie being an April of 2020
- 19:52with our son Linux who have passed away at 18 weeks
- 19:57gestation and it was after the loss of our son.
- 20:01Linux that I battled it out with God, I remember one distinct day
- 20:10where I was so consumed with my anger.
- 20:13Jamie that I just remember, crying out to the Lord.
- 20:18I was outside in the front yard of my mom's house, and I don't
- 20:24know if I like if I actually verbalize this audibly that I
- 20:28just cried out to him saying, why is having faith worth it?
- 20:32If you are going to allow me yet again, to walk through this, I
- 20:38was like righteously angry because I'm like, God, I've been
- 20:43faithful. I helped start a Ministry that
- 20:46that helps women and men after they've gone through this.
- 20:50Why would you yet again? Allow us to go through this and
- 20:54he so sweetly met me and so gently, let me in the front yard
- 21:00of my mom's house. He offered me that the option
- 21:06and it was, it was very strange because I just felt like God was
- 21:09saying, you never really have two choices my daughter.
- 21:13You can, you can walk away. You can just no strings
- 21:17attached, you have permission to walk away and you know, and he
- 21:22showed me who I would become, which, in my head, I just saw a
- 21:27bitter old hag of a woman. Who was Is so caught up and
- 21:33shame and anger and bitterness. Surely a raging alcoholic
- 21:39single, you know, because I just I knew that that is who I would
- 21:46become. And then he said, you know,
- 21:50option two is if you allow me to walk with you through this and
- 21:56carry the weight that you are carrying right now, you will
- 22:00find Healing. You will Enjoy, you will find
- 22:04life again because I am life and it didn't end there to be
- 22:11honest. Like I decided like, yes, that's
- 22:14obviously the way that I wanted to go, but but I just remember
- 22:18that moment so specifically because it was just so gentle
- 22:22and kind of him to present the option to me and I know that
- 22:26that sounds really strange to some.
- 22:28But I think that after several more More conversations and
- 22:33battles, truly God, has really showed me just really what
- 22:37Redemption looks like. You know, a lot of people think
- 22:41that Redemption is going to come in the form of what they lost.
- 22:46And for me, it was well, if I can have another baby got I will
- 22:50find happiness. Again, I will find life again.
- 22:52It's like, no, like religion has only and will only ever come in
- 22:59the form of one baby. Jesus who died on the cross for
- 23:04us. So that way, whatever we would
- 23:08face in this life we would have the opportunity to be with him
- 23:12one day. If we accept him as our savior
- 23:16and the that truly is the hope that Allison and I clung to.
- 23:23Yeah. Oh wow.
- 23:25That's deep that is yeap. I'm, I've got so much emotion
- 23:29going on right now and I mean it just shows.
- 23:33We are here for a purpose on Earth and not let us not lose
- 23:39that. I think we lose that and we
- 23:41don't remember. And we're here to add to God's
- 23:46kingdom, to bring others to know him to be in heaven.
- 23:49This is not our home Heavens, our home, and so I could just
- 23:55see Jesus showing you that. I was just speaking to you and
- 23:59just telling you that and To continue on and sharing his
- 24:05message to those. Ladies and ladies that may not
- 24:10even know him that have gone through a loss and what an
- 24:14impact you would think like oh that would you know, evolved leg
- 24:19experiences, how would they ever come to know Jesus?
- 24:22But only he knows their hearts and only through maybe your
- 24:26ministry. You're able to save souls and
- 24:29bring women to know him. Through this experience that
- 24:34they've had here on Earth and so know that that is definitely
- 24:38something that we wrestle with when tragedy comes to our life
- 24:43and we questioned God and and then to have that happen to you
- 24:48over and over again it reminds me of Jobe and the messenger
- 24:54coming over and over again, sending those horrible messages
- 25:00and how at the very end. He's still just as like I'm
- 25:03going to still praise. You, I'll still Worship You
- 25:06Lord. So I wanted to go into your
- 25:11guys's Retreat and your wonderful Ministry called for
- 25:17known at what point when you are going through your healing
- 25:23process and stuff at one point where you like, oh wow, let's
- 25:27start something to help other women because I know we, as
- 25:31Owens here we have to get to that healing point to where
- 25:35we're able to actually serve others so take us through that
- 25:40Journey. Yeah, it was October of 2018 and
- 25:47you know, having worked together.
- 25:49We were blessed with an amazing team that you know, if we needed
- 25:54to leave at 9:00 in the morning because we were just maxed out.
- 25:58They got it and they would carry that weight for us.
- 26:01And so Kelsey. And I were having a particularly
- 26:04hard day and we left early and had Mexican food for brunch,
- 26:10which I would not recommend in Colorado, and Texas all day
- 26:16every day in Mexico, every day, not in Colorado.
- 26:22We were just sitting across the table from each other, and, you
- 26:26know, cry and and share in our hearts and I'll never forget
- 26:30looking at calcium site. Okay, this is going to be crazy
- 26:34but I keep having this vision of us speaking to women about what
- 26:40we've gone through and Kelsey looked at me and she said, I
- 26:44have had the exact same vision. Wow, he had in our amazing.
- 26:49Humanness my first response was well crap.
- 26:52I guess that means we need to do something with it now that you
- 26:55verbalize it. I guess we should do.
- 26:58Yeah, out there. It's really was where for known
- 27:08began was that Mexican brunch in October and so we started as an
- 27:14online social media platform, just Instagram and Facebook with
- 27:19posts of encouragement. That frankly were what we needed
- 27:23to hear. It was the encouragement and the
- 27:26hope that we were looking for when we were in the hospital of
- 27:30some of you to say, Hey hey it's going to be okay and we started
- 27:35there, then we branched into hosting a retreat at Glen Eyrie
- 27:40and we are actually coming up on our fourth Retreat.
- 27:44That we are going to be hosting this April, where we just invite
- 27:48women to come in and to share their stories and drop their
- 27:51burdens at the door. And we welcome them.
- 27:55We remind them of the hope that we have in Christ as Believers,
- 28:00that he didn't take our babies. That he welcomed them into
- 28:03having with open arms and he is caring for them and loving on
- 28:07them until we get there. And we just, we are so adamant
- 28:13about building Community because this grief in life is not
- 28:17something that you are called to walk through alone.
- 28:20And so we build that Community, we walk them through redefining
- 28:25Joy, the battle for your future. We do this awesome activity
- 28:31where we have. I'm right down the lies that
- 28:33they've been told about their loss and we pray over that and
- 28:36we erase it and we replace it with truth from the Lord and
- 28:41it's such a holy spirit, driven moment where we are praying over
- 28:45those women and he is giving them words and phrases to claim
- 28:50as truth over themselves and freedom freedom.
- 28:54Yeah, yeah, the chains that are broken is amazing.
- 28:59It is amazing to see that. And so, And then we invite our
- 29:03husbands and the last day. And we allow them to tell their
- 29:08story of loss from a guy's perspective, and what does it
- 29:13look like to heal? When you aren't the one who
- 29:15carried the baby, it just, it's so cool.
- 29:19And it's the highest rated session that we have, which
- 29:22drives us crazy. But it's so beautiful to see it.
- 29:27Amazing to see these women ask these guys questions.
- 29:31Like okay, what? My husband says this, this is
- 29:33what I hear, you know, interpret that for me, help me understand
- 29:36what is happening here, and just the chains and the life that is
- 29:41spoken back into marriages, and that moment is so neat.
- 29:45So, that's a little bit about every tree.
- 29:47We also have a texting Community where women can text a number
- 29:52that goes directly to our phones and we are immediately you know,
- 29:57on Ground Zero with them saying you know what resources, do you
- 30:00need? How can I For you, we invite you
- 30:05to hop on a zoom call and we will meet with you two on one
- 30:09and pray through this whatever you're going through.
- 30:12We also send out daily text of encouragement you know, some
- 30:15people aren't on social media and so this is another way where
- 30:19we can have a personalized conversation with them while
- 30:24still giving them the distance if they need it.
- 30:27Some people feel like I don't want to put myself out there
- 30:30online but a text is 0. Okay.
- 30:32Absolutely. We host free monthly Digital
- 30:35support groups where women can just log in to zoom and join
- 30:38others who understand their pain.
- 30:41Usually bring a different topic to each month or sometimes will
- 30:44feature a guest speaker that will just kind of present a
- 30:47different idea or topic. But then we allow women to just
- 30:51share what they think and how they are feeling and how they're
- 30:53doing, how they're healing and growing.
- 30:57And again, just because we know the community is Only important
- 31:02and you craving season. So good ladies.
- 31:07Wow. I mean, you just have it all
- 31:09covered. And how inspiring just in all
- 31:13Ministry to have that Personal Touch, you know, like a text up,
- 31:18just like, you know, keep going. You're doing a good job or, you
- 31:21know, having it inviting for The Other Women to share, or what's
- 31:26going on by giving them space and room too.
- 31:31Share or not share. But just, I think when you're
- 31:35going through such hard time, just to know somebody's there
- 31:39and you can reach out to somebody.
- 31:42If you need, it is sometimes enough, right to start the
- 31:48healing process. And so, what a great thing you
- 31:52guys have. And I'm so excited for your
- 31:56ministry and what God is doing and so grateful for this
- 32:01opportunity, You guys to come on here and share.
- 32:04And so, at the end of each episode, I just ask the guests
- 32:08for a takeaway just to leave with the listener something to
- 32:14ponder on. So whoever wants to go first and
- 32:17then we'll just say where you can be connected with the women
- 32:24here. Yeah, thank you, thank you Jamie
- 32:26for having us on and like we mentioned before, it's like
- 32:30every opportunity that we We can to share our story with people
- 32:35is such an honor and yeah we know that it's a part of the
- 32:40Legacy that that our kids left, you know.
- 32:44So I would say for me personally Jamie, you know, kind of like I
- 32:47mentioned earlier in the podcast.
- 32:50You know that I the battles that I had the conversations that I
- 32:53had with God I just want to remind whoever is listening like
- 32:56right now, you know, whatever battle you are walking through
- 33:00and whatever. Whether it's in loss of a child
- 33:05loss of a spouse, a job, whatever grieving looks like for
- 33:09you right now to just cry out to God.
- 33:13And they, that God not only is available but he wants to
- 33:18receive all of those emotions, you know, I think kind of it of
- 33:22the time. It's like, God, you wouldn't
- 33:24have created anger. If you wouldn't have allowed me
- 33:28to be angry with you, but he doesn't Want to stay there,
- 33:33right? Like, right.
- 33:34Be angry and not Sid. And so it's knowing that that
- 33:39God is so big enough to take your anger, your feelings of
- 33:44betrayal, your frustrations, all of your 1000 emotions that
- 33:51sometimes you experience, all at the same time, he's big enough
- 33:55and he wants to take it from you, you know, God.
- 33:59Grieves with us You know, I'm reminded often.
- 34:04It's like God you know what? It's like to lose your son.
- 34:07You know what it's like. And so just knowing that he
- 34:11Grieves with us and we're not ever alone in that process is
- 34:17good. I think for me, one of the
- 34:20biggest blessings of for known has been the community and I
- 34:24know we've said it a lot in the last 30 minutes but finding
- 34:29Community when you are walking through Through a season, any
- 34:33season is vital. I mean, God calls us to be in
- 34:38community with one another and so to find those people who are
- 34:43God-fearing that are going to speak truth and love into you
- 34:47and let you acknowledge the feelings in the season that
- 34:50you're in. But continue to push you towards
- 34:54him. We have to have those people.
- 34:57Because what Satan loves to do especially when it comes to Los
- 35:01Angeles. He loves to put shame on you.
- 35:03One of the things that Kelsey and I have said for quite a
- 35:06while now is that shame will not know my name, I refuse to feel
- 35:10shame about my loss because that's a lie from the enemy.
- 35:15And so being in community with one another and calling out
- 35:18those lies, and then speaking truth over him.
- 35:21Yeah, it will forever change you.
- 35:24So what we like to say is, you know, maybe before you met us,
- 35:29you didn't have a community. But now you do, Now you have two
- 35:32people who are here saying, I will be your sister.
- 35:35I will be there to hold your hand to pack your backpack and
- 35:38teach you how to hike that mountain and I will cheer lead
- 35:41you on all the way but you cannot stay alone.
- 35:44You can't do it alone. So let us be there for you.
- 35:49Yeah, that's right. So good.
- 35:52I love it girls. Okay.
- 35:54What's the website where can they sign up and get involved in
- 35:57this community? Absolutely.

- 36:17Community. If you have your phones on you
- 36:20right now, which probably most of us do if you're listening to
- 36:23a podcast, you can pull out. I know I do all the time hiking
- 36:28or walking my dog. Maybe you're going to do this
- 36:32right now. Okay.

- 37:21your list. There's any way we can, so so
- 37:25cool. Yep.

- 37:32simple. Just text that and then in the
- 37:35little text message, say hello heart, whatever?
- 37:39Right? It will respond and then you
- 37:43instantly get Kelsey and Allison on your phone with a message.
- 37:49So good you girls. Oh wow.
- 37:52I know we just met but wow, I just love you both and just love
- 37:57what God is doing in and through you and how you are serving the
- 38:03ladies, the moms and dads. And and just this love that,
- 38:10Jesus expects us to be loving on people.
- 38:13It's just so inspiring and amazing.
- 38:16And I just want to say thank you.
- 38:18I appreciate both of you and So glad that you are doing this for
- 38:24others. So thank you Jamie and thank you
- 38:27for sharing your story. You know, like I said, when you
- 38:30share an open up, it empowers others to be vulnerable, you
- 38:35know. And yeah, thank you so much for
- 38:38this opportunity. Thank you.
- 38:43Thank you so much for listening today.
