Latest / The Paul Barron Crypto Show / Samsung Reveals Gaming Handheld!🚨Ronin + Sky Mavis INTERVIEW🔥
Transcript
- 0:06Speaker 1: Today we're going to be diving into a little bit
- 0:07Speaker 1: of web three gaming, how this is all affecting the market,
- 0:10Speaker 1: and of course there's some interesting things happening.
- 0:12Speaker 2: My name is Paul Barre.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Welcome back into tech Pathlet's dive in and a little
- 0:15Speaker 1: bit of what's going on in the handheld gaming sector.
- 0:18Speaker 1: One thing I want to touch on, of course, is
- 0:20Speaker 1: Samsung which has unveiled a Flex device, which is a
- 0:24Speaker 1: foldible handheld console.
- 0:26Speaker 2: This was at MWC.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Pretty interesting here, I think, you know, it's kind of
- 0:29Speaker 1: interesting that it looks so much like the Flip. This
- 0:32Speaker 1: is brilliant. I think it's a good move for Samsung.
- 0:34Speaker 1: It also expands quite a bit in the market. Furthermore,
- 0:37Speaker 1: they had this device that they also talked about, the
- 0:39Speaker 1: Flex handheld, so we may hit see not only the
- 0:42Speaker 1: flip open but also the stackable screens which really do
- 0:46Speaker 1: change up the experience quite a bit. Other things that
- 0:49Speaker 1: are happening. Remember that Nintendo Direct is also coming live
- 0:52Speaker 1: on the second.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Out of April.
- 0:54Speaker 1: This possibly could be the announcement of a new switch.
- 0:58Speaker 1: We will see how things go. Switch to is being portrayed,
- 1:01Speaker 1: and if you look at something that's going on here
- 1:03Speaker 1: one from our channel partner suite. They have the sweet
- 1:07Speaker 1: Play device. And remember the ox one. Originally we did
- 1:11Speaker 1: a little design on this was this was the original
- 1:13Speaker 1: design right there, and then when you look at the
- 1:15Speaker 1: new design, very similar here to the Nintendo Switch. So
- 1:20Speaker 1: taking some design que definitely from Nintendo and starting to
- 1:24Speaker 1: move I think in the right direction for handheld gaming.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Other things that of course start to move. You have
- 1:29Speaker 1: to look at the glasses market and this is something
- 1:31Speaker 1: that Meta of course has pioneered, but now x reel
- 1:36Speaker 1: is getting a big market share fifty one percent of
- 1:38Speaker 1: markets in Q three starting to roll up on these
- 1:41Speaker 1: new ar glasses.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I want to go to a clip real quick because.
- 1:44Speaker 1: This is one that we think when you look at
- 1:46Speaker 1: devices like that could be very good for handheld gamers.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 1:51Speaker 3: I'm talking iPhones, Nintendo Switch, seam Deck, MacBooks. You just
- 1:55Speaker 3: plug it in and it's ready to.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Go and it will do all the processing inside of
- 1:58Speaker 4: the glasses instead of line on your device, which I
- 2:01Speaker 4: have to reiterate doesn't require an application to be present
- 2:04Speaker 4: on whatever device you are using the glasses with.
- 2:06Speaker 2: In anchor mode, you can turn.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Your head away from the pin screen and it will.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Not follow you.
- 2:10Speaker 4: The display stays in place like a real monitor or
- 2:12Speaker 4: television that has ultra low latency. Had three milliseconds, which
- 2:15Speaker 4: is actually four times better than the Apple Vision prow.
- 2:19Speaker 3: You could even use these with a switch with an
- 2:20Speaker 3: HDMI to DP adapter.
- 2:22Speaker 1: These have improved stabilization and no shaking, which makes for
- 2:25Speaker 1: a really great gaming experience.
- 2:27Speaker 2: It honestly feels like a luxury.
- 2:29Speaker 4: The perfect companion for handheld gaming and for that, this
- 2:34Speaker 4: is it.
- 2:35Speaker 1: All right, guys, these are going to explode. We were
- 2:37Speaker 1: over on the x real shop. We've shown this before,
- 2:39Speaker 1: this device. This is the ones you just saw on
- 2:42Speaker 1: the clip right there are kind of the first generation,
- 2:45Speaker 1: this course, being the x Real Air twos.
- 2:47Speaker 2: These are the ultras.
- 2:48Speaker 1: When these hit the market, I think this really starts
- 2:50Speaker 1: to shift a lot in the handcount gaming sector and
- 2:53Speaker 1: we could see some pretty big movements quickly. Now what
- 2:56Speaker 1: is the catalyst for potential growth? One, of course, you
- 2:59Speaker 1: have to look back all the way to two thousand
- 3:01Speaker 1: and eight when the App Store launched and we saw
- 3:03Speaker 1: a boom in handheld device games apps you name it,
- 3:08Speaker 1: core developers. Then Pokemon Go came in and that was
- 3:10Speaker 1: twenty sixteen that created this ar phenomenon. Now here we
- 3:14Speaker 1: are getting ready to kind of transition maybe further into
- 3:18Speaker 1: a combination of new devices, AR XR and really seeing
- 3:22Speaker 1: kind of next generation gaming start to become a real thing.
- 3:25Speaker 1: The Gaming Summit is being held by Suite over in
- 3:29Speaker 1: March March eighteenth, and I anticipate we're going to see
- 3:32Speaker 1: some big announcements within it. One thing I highlighted further
- 3:36Speaker 1: on down here in the page was some very key
- 3:40Speaker 1: points right here Aaron Goldsby. You guys remember him. We've
- 3:44Speaker 1: had myth go on before, but Mythical games. Are we
- 3:47Speaker 1: in a position here where maybe Mythical is going to
- 3:49Speaker 1: be moving over to Sue.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Let me know down in the comments. I always love
- 3:55Speaker 1: to get you guys's feedback. It kind of gives us
- 3:56Speaker 1: some insights. Last up here, we're going to be talking
- 3:59Speaker 1: about Row today and Ronan's Gaming Empire. This was a
- 4:03Speaker 1: good if you guys remember, Fableborn won Best Mobile Game
- 4:07Speaker 1: at the Game's GG Awards, And this is a big
- 4:09Speaker 1: deal because as you see the evolution of where gaming
- 4:13Speaker 1: is coming from, especially in Web three, you always have
- 4:16Speaker 1: to look back at the history of that and that
- 4:18Speaker 1: of course is Axie Infinity, and I wanted to bring
- 4:21Speaker 1: on Alexander coming in from sky Navis to kind of
- 4:24Speaker 1: break some of this down. Alexander, how are you.
- 4:27Speaker 4: I'm good, Paul, Thanks for having me and I think
- 4:28Speaker 4: this is the third time that I'm here, So yeah, gaming.
- 4:32Speaker 1: It's been good, well, definitely. Now we got a lot
- 4:36Speaker 1: of things happening in the market. Seems like technology is
- 4:39Speaker 1: starting to catch up with this as well. Here's a
- 4:41Speaker 1: couple of tweets I wanted to hit on you and
- 4:42Speaker 1: get your opinion on this. You look at what's happening
- 4:45Speaker 1: with the Sweetplay device and of course some of your
- 4:48Speaker 1: people out there talking about possibly a handheld gaming device
- 4:52Speaker 1: on the Ronan network.
- 4:53Speaker 2: What do you think about this? Is it possible?
- 4:55Speaker 3: Yes, I mean.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Give us one Alexander.
- 5:00Speaker 4: To spoil something like that here unfortunately. But what I
- 5:02Speaker 4: will say though, is that we are excited about all
- 5:06Speaker 4: sorts of innovation in the gaming space. I think that's
- 5:08Speaker 4: why we're building in Web three. We think that has
- 5:10Speaker 4: the best benefit for players.
- 5:12Speaker 3: We've seen what.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Has happened with Solona obviously what they did with their phone,
- 5:16Speaker 4: but I think hardware is historically really hard to do right.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure, Alex that or saw the clip on
- 5:24Speaker 1: x reel. They've got their developer SDK available, and I'm
- 5:28Speaker 1: wondering when you look at the way that they're transitioning.
- 5:31Speaker 1: If this becomes a new device that gamers can use,
- 5:35Speaker 1: why not port all of your games right into what
- 5:39Speaker 1: x reel is doing. I mean, did you see some
- 5:41Speaker 1: of the examples given there. I mean they were pretty phenomenal.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean to me, that actually looks amazing. So
- 5:46Speaker 4: it's always this question of like when are these hardware
- 5:50Speaker 4: devices actually ready for mainstream adoption? And I think we
- 5:53Speaker 4: touched on this the last time as well. When I
- 5:55Speaker 4: saw Apple Vision Pro actually get released, I was super
- 5:58Speaker 4: excited about it. Unfortunately I didn't have chance to try
- 6:00Speaker 4: it yet. But for these, you know, the x real
- 6:04Speaker 4: Air to ultras, I think for me, as kind of
- 6:07Speaker 4: how can I say it the nominative user of these
- 6:10Speaker 4: like VR type of devices, I needed to be super
- 6:14Speaker 4: light weight. I need it to be only the benefits, right,
- 6:16Speaker 4: so that I can put them on and then very
- 6:18Speaker 4: easily interact with with the.
- 6:19Speaker 2: World in front of me.
- 6:20Speaker 4: So this is now we're talking about something that that
- 6:23Speaker 4: excites me because I think when I go back and
- 6:25Speaker 4: I remember being a little bit bearish on some of
- 6:27Speaker 4: these things. But to me, this is also about like
- 6:29Speaker 4: where are we at in the technology innovation kind of cycle.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I think we have come a long way since our
- 6:36Speaker 1: original discussion about XR ar v r x are, especially
- 6:40Speaker 1: with you look at the advancement that x rel has made.
- 6:42Speaker 1: That's only going to push the market. Most likely we
- 6:44Speaker 1: see we'll see some more devices like this come on.
- 6:47Speaker 1: For sure, Ronan is now open. How has this affected
- 6:52Speaker 1: the ecosystem? I'm looking at a tweet by you guys.
- 6:55Speaker 1: This is the layer of projects in there. Obviously ready
- 6:58Speaker 1: gamer right there. How does this affect to do you
- 7:00Speaker 1: guys with an open network like this now?
- 7:02Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, I think last time I also mentioned
- 7:04Speaker 4: part of the strategy and going permissionless has kind of
- 7:07Speaker 4: always been a part of the plan. But from our side,
- 7:11Speaker 4: it's really been great to see all the demand that
- 7:14Speaker 4: has come in from developers, and you know, I think
- 7:17Speaker 4: over the past three or four years, you know, we've
- 7:19Speaker 4: been very curated, We've been very careful with the partners
- 7:22Speaker 4: that we've been able to work with, but now finally
- 7:24Speaker 4: we're at the point where we can actually welcome all
- 7:26Speaker 4: of these guys, and of course we have like strong
- 7:28Speaker 4: product market fit with gaming developers because of the tools
- 7:32Speaker 4: and the services, but also the know how that the
- 7:34Speaker 4: team has. But now I think we have some work
- 7:37Speaker 4: to do with actually attracting different type of app developers
- 7:39Speaker 4: and also particularly DeFi, which is where I'm spending a
- 7:42Speaker 4: lot of my time right now. How can we basically
- 7:45Speaker 4: make this ecosystem about something else than just gaming because
- 7:48Speaker 4: gaming has like kind of been our core, but we
- 7:50Speaker 4: have to kind of expand a little bit from there.
- 7:52Speaker 4: And the attraction, of course with these other app developers
- 7:54Speaker 4: is that the same as the game developers. They come
- 7:57Speaker 4: to us because we actually have the users in on
- 8:00Speaker 4: any given day as anything from five hundred thousand to
- 8:02Speaker 4: seven hundred and fifty thousand daily active users, and from
- 8:06Speaker 4: a monthly perspective there's anything from one point six million
- 8:09Speaker 4: to two point five million. Now that's a lot of
- 8:11Speaker 4: users for application developers that want to hit that type
- 8:15Speaker 4: of traction, and that's been the pitch that we've had
- 8:17Speaker 4: since the beginning.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I was looking at your users. Matter of fact, you
- 8:22Speaker 1: kind of hit right there. The returning users have been
- 8:25Speaker 1: pretty dynamic on Ronin, and you look at kind of
- 8:30Speaker 1: the evolution of for web through gaming has gone. To
- 8:32Speaker 1: your point is you're starting to splinter a little bit
- 8:35Speaker 1: maybe towards DeFi. How do you keep these users in
- 8:38Speaker 1: the ecosystem? Do you think it's going to be transitioning
- 8:41Speaker 1: over to other functionality within the Ronan network.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 8:45Speaker 4: So. One of the things that we saw during the
- 8:48Speaker 4: last run up of ACXI, basically in twenty twenty one,
- 8:51Speaker 4: is that a lot of the users that came in,
- 8:53Speaker 4: you know, they have never even used any sort of
- 8:55Speaker 4: crypto app before. A lot of them didn't even have
- 8:57Speaker 4: bank accounts. But when they came into act, they wanted
- 9:00Speaker 4: to explore what's beyond the AXI inside of the crypto ecosystem.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Maybe they wanted to take up loans, maybe they wanted
- 9:06Speaker 4: to do something else, And unfortunately, at that time we
- 9:08Speaker 4: didn't have all of those services and tools available on Ronin,
- 9:11Speaker 4: so they turned out of the ecosystem. And now our
- 9:14Speaker 4: focus is to ensure that since we have the place
- 9:17Speaker 4: where they come in first, basically the consumer layer, we
- 9:20Speaker 4: can now also have the retention layer at the bottom
- 9:23Speaker 4: so that they can do more things inside Ronin, take
- 9:25Speaker 4: up different type of loans, play different type of games.
- 9:28Speaker 4: Do Social Five even lost their own meme coins, so
- 9:31Speaker 4: for example, tom or don't meme on Ronan has launched
- 9:33Speaker 4: over twenty one thousand tokens since it went live a
- 9:36Speaker 4: couple of weeks ago, which is actually really good. If
- 9:38Speaker 4: you're compared to such a young ecosystem from a kind
- 9:41Speaker 4: of open perspective.
- 9:42Speaker 1: It'll be interesting to watch. I want to talk about
- 9:45Speaker 1: Apple for a minute, because when you look at Apple,
- 9:49Speaker 1: it's a closed ecosystem. There has been scenarios with Apple
- 9:53Speaker 1: that have really plugged the market. Apple prioritize to their
- 9:56Speaker 1: revenue here recently despite the legal re one of the
- 10:00Speaker 1: things they hit on was that they were continuing to
- 10:04Speaker 1: steer customers outside the app. So if they did do this,
- 10:08Speaker 1: it was going to end up with a pretty impactful
- 10:12Speaker 1: revenue hit for Apple in general.
- 10:14Speaker 4: So I think that they're going to be forced to
- 10:16Speaker 4: open up regulators around the world, but also consumers that
- 10:20Speaker 4: want to interact with different type of applications that maybe
- 10:24Speaker 4: go against the terms of use that Apple has at moments.
- 10:27Speaker 4: I think it's been a very interesting period for Apple.
- 10:30Speaker 4: But for now, let's say, you know, games like epic. Right,
- 10:33Speaker 4: they're challenging this really heavily, and even from our side,
- 10:36Speaker 4: from the crypto perspective, obviously, we believe that users to
- 10:40Speaker 4: serve to own their own data and f T assets
- 10:43Speaker 4: and trade them with other users without necessarily a middleman
- 10:47Speaker 4: like Apple in between.
- 10:48Speaker 3: There.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Well, and you know Schiller was this was a testimony
- 10:52Speaker 1: from him, and they were talking about the revenue numbers.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Let me kind of zoom in on that.
- 10:56Speaker 1: If only five percent of in app purchases from just
- 10:59Speaker 1: the top two hundre apps shifted over to web payments,
- 11:03Speaker 1: they'd lose hundreds of millions.
- 11:04Speaker 2: And this was a conservative estimate. So this is a real.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Impact on Apple, especially if we get into I think
- 11:11Speaker 1: billions in reference to revenue here. Then you have the
- 11:15Speaker 1: Justice Department, of course suing Apple from monopolizing smartphone markets.
- 11:19Speaker 1: And you've got to remember Tim Cook made a nice
- 11:22Speaker 1: little homage over to Trump's office and even down here
- 11:26Speaker 1: tomorrow lago. You think that the Trump administration is going
- 11:30Speaker 1: to let them slide on this? What are your thoughts there?
- 11:33Speaker 1: You think they get away with this?
- 11:34Speaker 4: Oh?
- 11:34Speaker 3: Wow?
- 11:36Speaker 4: I think it's very hard to pretict what the Trump
- 11:38Speaker 4: administration is going to do especially in this day and age,
- 11:41Speaker 4: they definitely want to protect American companies though, So I mean,
- 11:43Speaker 4: if we have that as a principle in place, you know,
- 11:45Speaker 4: we can say, is it more protective to keep it
- 11:47Speaker 4: closed store, is it more protective to actually open it
- 11:49Speaker 4: up for other American companies to kind of build so
- 11:52Speaker 4: that the you know, the maybe the platform can get bigger.
- 11:56Speaker 4: So this is actually a tie into why we decided
- 11:58Speaker 4: to open runin. We think that we need to increase
- 12:01Speaker 4: the pie, we need to make it bigger, so we
- 12:02Speaker 4: cannot stay closed. We need to enable other developers to
- 12:05Speaker 4: come in and build and utilize the amazing things that
- 12:08Speaker 4: we've created. And I think if Apple does the same,
- 12:10Speaker 4: there's an opportunity to grow beyond what they have today.
- 12:13Speaker 4: But the sacrifice, of course for Apple is that the
- 12:15Speaker 4: revenue numbers, as you can see, they're.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Just like incredible.
- 12:18Speaker 4: And right now even to this today, a company, big
- 12:22Speaker 4: game company out of Finland, super Cell, you might be familiar.
- 12:25Speaker 4: They are actually driving users outside of the app store
- 12:29Speaker 4: into their web shop to buy let's say gold stuff,
- 12:32Speaker 4: and they get a discount if they buy.
- 12:33Speaker 3: It there because it's actually keep for them.
- 12:35Speaker 4: So this is actually happening today already, it's just like
- 12:38Speaker 4: a very selective from Apple, which companies they're trying to
- 12:41Speaker 4: censor because they're losing money if they censor their own company.
- 12:44Speaker 4: They like super Cell because they are driving significant amounts
- 12:47Speaker 4: of revenue to that company.
- 12:49Speaker 2: So I hope you're right.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Maybe we do see an open ecosystem within Apple, and
- 12:55Speaker 1: maybe in the next decade we'll see. Listen, we got
- 12:58Speaker 1: to talk about Polygon ZAVM. Why do you think Polygon
- 13:03Speaker 1: is not getting love right now? This is one of
- 13:05Speaker 1: the changes that seemingly has a lot of opportunity, but
- 13:09Speaker 1: yet at the same time, the market, whether you're trading
- 13:12Speaker 1: Polygon or even developers not necessarily choosing Polygon.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Why right?
- 13:18Speaker 4: So, I think for Ronan, our decision to experiment with
- 13:22Speaker 4: polygon zeke EVM was made last year because we like
- 13:25Speaker 4: the tech and we respect the Polygon team as builders.
- 13:28Speaker 4: I think commercially and actually getting this to something really
- 13:31Speaker 4: viable has kind of been.
- 13:32Speaker 3: The problem for now.
- 13:33Speaker 4: So of course we are looking into what does actually
- 13:36Speaker 4: a Rolan zeke AVM look like, When can we start
- 13:39Speaker 4: to use this for our developers, And there's a lot
- 13:41Speaker 4: of pressure coming from us to the Polygon teams, and
- 13:44Speaker 4: I think that's really a part of the issue that
- 13:46Speaker 4: they're facing. For many different teams as well. This is
- 13:49Speaker 4: still very experimental tech, and when you look at something
- 13:52Speaker 4: like Base or Arbitrum or even the zke synhs, right,
- 13:55Speaker 4: there's a lot of challenge in that space for scaling solutions,
- 13:58Speaker 4: and there's a lot of opportunities or chains like Ronan
- 14:01Speaker 4: who are basically have a delegated proof of stake later on,
- 14:04Speaker 4: but then are looking what does it look like from
- 14:06Speaker 4: a scaling perspective beyond just that, right, So, I think
- 14:09Speaker 4: like Polygon has some issues there where they actually just
- 14:12Speaker 4: need to ship and actually get this to use, right,
- 14:14Speaker 4: which is always the issue for blockchain companies. But unless
- 14:19Speaker 4: they can do something really fast, and I think is
- 14:21Speaker 4: going to be quite challenging for them.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Interesting, Why do you think we're seeing so much activity
- 14:26Speaker 1: out of Base here's just some of the daily active
- 14:29Speaker 1: user addresses versus what we're seeing over here with obviously
- 14:33Speaker 1: Ronan and Polygon. Why is Base moving so so much now?
- 14:39Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 14:39Speaker 4: So, I think Base is in such an incredibly strong
- 14:43Speaker 4: position by the fact that they have this very really
- 14:46Speaker 4: tight relationship with coinbase. I mean, it is coin Base
- 14:48Speaker 4: of course, so a lot of trust is in that
- 14:51Speaker 4: chain using it right, so you know, people are probably
- 14:54Speaker 4: not afraid of any sort of acts or like less
- 14:56Speaker 4: afraid of rugs.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Et cetera.
- 14:57Speaker 4: But it's also they get a lot of kind of
- 14:59Speaker 4: free app developers that come there because they.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Want to get listed on Coinbase as well.
- 15:04Speaker 4: But actually what we've seen when it comes to AI agents,
- 15:06Speaker 4: for example, a team like Virtuals, they didn't even get
- 15:09Speaker 4: listed on Coinbase, which is incredible compared to then actually
- 15:12Speaker 4: building natively on that chain. So you know, of course
- 15:15Speaker 4: some criticism on my part for there for Coinbase, and
- 15:18Speaker 4: I think that for adapt developers there's definitely no magic
- 15:21Speaker 4: bullet to just deploying on base, to just get listed
- 15:24Speaker 4: on Coinbase, but you know it's worth a shop, I guess.
- 15:27Speaker 1: But active users are still up, so I mean you
- 15:30Speaker 1: look at yes, I mean it did happen with Virtuals.
- 15:33Speaker 4: Of course, people still believe in that. And I think
- 15:35Speaker 4: that there's a lot of usage of course, like people
- 15:37Speaker 4: want to experiment, right, they want to use the applications
- 15:41Speaker 4: that are there. I think coin based did a really
- 15:43Speaker 4: great job when it comes to the un chained Summer thing.
- 15:46Speaker 4: They did last year and then it's been like a
- 15:47Speaker 4: really great goal to market and the segue from there.
- 15:50Speaker 4: So overall, I feel like they've done a good job.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Alexander.
- 15:53Speaker 1: You look at the chains that are available right now
- 15:56Speaker 1: over on open c and you've got Avalanche in there.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Heck even blast flow. Why not Ronan getting onto open Sea?
- 16:04Speaker 1: When when will we see that happen?
- 16:10Speaker 3: You know?
- 16:11Speaker 4: I know that I know no Devin for seven years
- 16:16Speaker 4: something like that. Who from from coinbase obviously, what I
- 16:19Speaker 4: can say that we're talking to coin Base, sorry to
- 16:21Speaker 4: open see, and I think open Sea is really really
- 16:24Speaker 4: interesting to have on ronin.
- 16:26Speaker 3: So it can happen.
- 16:28Speaker 4: No guarantees, but I think it's it's it's more likely
- 16:31Speaker 4: to happen and unlikely.
- 16:32Speaker 2: More than likely to happen than unlikely. Okay, well that's
- 16:35Speaker 2: not more.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Likely than unlikely.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, gotcha. I just want to make sure I
- 16:40Speaker 1: got that right. Meme coin cycles, do you think that
- 16:43Speaker 1: has reached its end right now?
- 16:46Speaker 4: I think that there's been a little bit too much
- 16:48Speaker 4: extraction in terms of the just the the amount of
- 16:53Speaker 4: money that's flown out of the ecosystem into let's say
- 16:56Speaker 4: companies like pump Dot Fund, and also a lot of
- 16:58Speaker 4: people are getting wrecked and ruck all over the place,
- 17:01Speaker 4: right so there's very little substance being built in some
- 17:04Speaker 4: of these ecosystems, which I think is unfortunate, because the
- 17:08Speaker 4: promise of meme coins to me is actually about culture
- 17:11Speaker 4: and building community and doing something real together, which is
- 17:15Speaker 4: actually what we've seen on Ronan, where we see that
- 17:17Speaker 4: a lot of like early stage meme coins are becoming
- 17:19Speaker 4: communities and a lot of people like they Basically they
- 17:22Speaker 4: come in and they sell all the tokens immediately, and
- 17:24Speaker 4: then it becomes the lore for the future of a
- 17:27Speaker 4: meme cooin, for example, like Ronke, which is like a
- 17:29Speaker 4: blue monkey or Ronan. It's only got like four million
- 17:32Speaker 4: dollars in market CAAP right now, but there's like this
- 17:34Speaker 4: very vibrant community of believers, which I think is more
- 17:39Speaker 4: what I am attracted to when it comes to mean coins,
- 17:41Speaker 4: rather than this like massive run up and then like
- 17:43Speaker 4: someone is rugging and just like, yeah, I don't like
- 17:46Speaker 4: that at all. And I think you can see that
- 17:48Speaker 4: it's really kind of burning out when you look at
- 17:51Speaker 4: the adoption for pumptot fund and the amount of tokens
- 17:53Speaker 4: that are launched every day, so obviously the numbers don't
- 17:56Speaker 4: lie here.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I think we're just following that AI agent's on Ronan.
- 18:00Speaker 1: What about that, We've got virtuals talking about this a
- 18:03Speaker 1: little bit, bringing AI power agents over to Ronan.
- 18:07Speaker 4: So I think virtuals is actually about creating frameworks for
- 18:10Speaker 4: AI agents inside games, which to me actually make a
- 18:12Speaker 4: lot of sense. So of course we're super interested in
- 18:15Speaker 4: different type of AI agents use cases on rollin because
- 18:18Speaker 4: these you know, AI agents, they will be played by
- 18:22Speaker 4: the players, so to say, the players own any AI agents,
- 18:25Speaker 4: and I think they will play against each others in
- 18:28Speaker 4: those type of games, which then will be perhaps own
- 18:30Speaker 4: chain games. So I'm super bulish on AI agents. I'm
- 18:33Speaker 4: bullish on virtuals, I guess in the long term, but
- 18:35Speaker 4: right now it's you know, they still have some work
- 18:38Speaker 4: to do to actually get this to a sustainable level
- 18:40Speaker 4: where these AI agents actually make sense, because right now
- 18:43Speaker 4: when you look at Twitter, there's a lot of spam
- 18:46Speaker 4: from these AI accounts that actually don't really have too much.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Yeah, let's talk about on wrapping a little bit USDC
- 18:52Speaker 1: if I want to get it into run and that's
- 18:54Speaker 1: still not available.
- 18:55Speaker 4: So actually USDC is available, so it's like, I think
- 19:00Speaker 4: there's already thirty million dollars or something like that. USDC
- 19:03Speaker 4: tokens on Ronan. The easiest thing to do is you
- 19:05Speaker 4: just try to create a wallet. You can create it
- 19:07Speaker 4: using Ronan Waypoint, which is an upgrade that we have
- 19:09Speaker 4: to the Ronan wallet, where you just need your email account,
- 19:13Speaker 4: email address, and then an MPC ballet is being created.
- 19:16Speaker 4: It's actually a perfect solution for net new users to
- 19:18Speaker 4: come into crypt well.
- 19:19Speaker 1: A new user, but I think a lot of people
- 19:21Speaker 1: that are in crypto that might want to come over
- 19:23Speaker 1: would most likely come over from like a coinbase or
- 19:25Speaker 1: some sort of centralized exchange, but being able to transfer
- 19:28Speaker 1: USDC most of the time will go that route. But
- 19:32Speaker 1: what you're saying is this still has to go through
- 19:34Speaker 1: places like moonpay, et cetera.
- 19:36Speaker 4: If you're talking about the native transactions between USDC from Coinbase,
- 19:40Speaker 4: I think that's going to take some time. Because we
- 19:43Speaker 4: actually deployed the USDC contract a little bit before. You know,
- 19:49Speaker 4: there was a guideline from the USDC team on how
- 19:51Speaker 4: to do it in a very permissionless way so that
- 19:54Speaker 4: they can take it over. So Ronan in this case
- 19:58Speaker 4: has a little bit of has some to to to
- 20:01Speaker 4: talk to a circle there where they want to. We
- 20:03Speaker 4: want them then to take over the contract so that
- 20:05Speaker 4: they can have the official integration and that then will
- 20:08Speaker 4: maybe mean that a UCC can migrate directly from Coinbays
- 20:12Speaker 4: for example.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Okay, all right, let's go over I'm talking about you know,
- 20:16Speaker 1: you look at the United States now really flipping the
- 20:19Speaker 1: script on what UH is going to be accepted as
- 20:22Speaker 1: crypto the SEC has already. I mean it's a complete
- 20:25Speaker 1: opposite spin of what we've seen six months ago. We
- 20:28Speaker 1: know that there's going to be a White House summit
- 20:30Speaker 1: on crypto. Why not get I mean ron sky Mavis,
- 20:34Speaker 1: one of the biggest gaming companies out there. Why not
- 20:38Speaker 1: go in and say, hey, listen, we need to establish
- 20:41Speaker 1: a US facility or some sort of US entry for
- 20:46Speaker 1: sky Mavis instead of playing around in Singapore, you know,
- 20:48Speaker 1: just come on over here to the United States.
- 20:50Speaker 2: How about that?
- 20:51Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, I think that's a great question. And uh,
- 20:54Speaker 4: you know I I of course we're exploring all options
- 20:57Speaker 4: to see, like where does it make sense to head
- 21:00Speaker 4: quarter sky Mavis moving forward? I think, like all crypto
- 21:03Speaker 4: companies want to have a friendly regulatory environment where the
- 21:06Speaker 4: rules makes sense and where we can actually work closely
- 21:08Speaker 4: with the governments. Now on the bright side, when you
- 21:11Speaker 4: look at a company like sky Mavis, we're funded by
- 21:13Speaker 4: some of the biggest venture investors in the world. A
- 21:15Speaker 4: sixteen and z Mark, Cuban, like a lot of these people,
- 21:19Speaker 4: even Paradigm, right, they've funded us and all of these
- 21:22Speaker 4: bigger companies and even more Cuban, I guess work closely
- 21:24Speaker 4: with the governments, right, so we have direct connections in
- 21:27Speaker 4: there as well where we try to, you know, give
- 21:29Speaker 4: them feedback. And Jeffrey or Gihos, who's my American co founder,
- 21:33Speaker 4: he was actually at the inauguration, so we have some
- 21:36Speaker 4: like we're trying to make sure that we are sharing
- 21:39Speaker 4: our information or the knowledge that we have with the
- 21:43Speaker 4: people that will listen with the regulators, and I think
- 21:46Speaker 4: that's really important so that we can help shape the
- 21:48Speaker 4: future of crypto in the US and actually in the world.
- 21:52Speaker 4: We're the ones who made AXI, and we actually stuck
- 21:54Speaker 4: it around from that time when everything was going down
- 21:57Speaker 4: all the way on to this point and we've been
- 21:59Speaker 4: keeping building ever since that time. And now users are
- 22:02Speaker 4: coming back because why they actually want to interact with
- 22:05Speaker 4: the products that we have here, and to me, that
- 22:07Speaker 4: gives me a lot of faith that we're.
- 22:08Speaker 3: On the right path.
- 22:10Speaker 4: Now it's all about how do we keep executing moving forward,
- 22:13Speaker 4: make sure that retention is higher and that actually we
- 22:16Speaker 4: get the best games.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Also on Ronan moving forward.
- 22:19Speaker 4: Yeah, And for example, Fableborn, as you mentioned, best game
- 22:22Speaker 4: of the year on best Mobile Game and actually on Ronan,
- 22:25Speaker 4: it had massively successful NFT pre sale where over twenty
- 22:29Speaker 4: one million dollars was locked to buy their Kingdom NFTs.
- 22:33Speaker 4: Now that outstrips anything we've ever seen on Ronan, and
- 22:36Speaker 4: I think that's really great to see the amount of traction.
- 22:38Speaker 4: So I think it was something like, I don't know,
- 22:40Speaker 4: a couple of thousand percent over subscribe from what it
- 22:43Speaker 4: should have been. So I'm super excited about Fableborn and
- 22:46Speaker 4: mobile games in particular. Is how we will onboard the
- 22:49Speaker 4: users into crypto around the world. That's, you know, generally
- 22:53Speaker 4: what I.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Believe what would be say one or two things that
- 22:56Speaker 1: you guys have in your roadmap that for twenty twenty
- 22:59Speaker 1: five that you feel are going to be fairly significant
- 23:02Speaker 1: if you were to achieve them.
- 23:05Speaker 4: So this is probably a little bit of a leak
- 23:07Speaker 4: and something that I know a lot of the community
- 23:09Speaker 4: is waiting for. If you look at something unique that
- 23:12Speaker 4: Ronan has, we have the Ronan Protocol treasury. So basically,
- 23:16Speaker 4: whenever a user is trading on Katana Exchange, a part
- 23:20Speaker 4: of that goes back into the protocol treasury. Whenever someone
- 23:23Speaker 4: is trading on the Roman marketplace is the maybas market,
- 23:26Speaker 4: a part of that is actually going back into the
- 23:28Speaker 4: Ronan Protocol treasury. Right now now a lot of those
- 23:31Speaker 4: tokens are spread into wrapped eth Ronan and many, many
- 23:35Speaker 4: different types of tokens, And right now we are actively
- 23:38Speaker 4: exploring if there is something we can do to basically
- 23:41Speaker 4: begin a buyback of Rome tokens, and I think that's
- 23:44Speaker 4: really where the market should be headed. We need more fundamentals.
- 23:48Speaker 4: They need to get priced on usage, of course, but
- 23:50Speaker 4: also are they capturing any revenue. And on the bright side,
- 23:53Speaker 4: the Roman Protocol treasury already has three point six million
- 23:56Speaker 4: dollars in revenue inside of it, So I guess we'll
- 23:59Speaker 4: see where that leads. And then if we can do that,
- 24:01Speaker 4: that would make me really really happy, and I think
- 24:03Speaker 4: that the community was also be really excited about that.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure, Alexander It's always good catching up with you.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Thank you so much for coming in today. We love
- 24:11Speaker 1: breaking it down with you.

- 24:18Speaker 1: I guess yes, yes, absolutely, well again, thanks for coming in.
- 24:23Speaker 2: We appreciate it all right.
