- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here. And in this episode of The
- 0:43Hypnotist, you're going to be listening to a hypnosis session
- 0:46created for a an aspiring American football player.
- 0:51And this particular client was feeling hesitant to make hard
- 1:00tackles, partly because there was a feeling that it could lead
- 1:03to pain or possible injury or that it it might just go in a
- 1:09way that could be embarrassing if it didn't go to plan
- 1:12effectively. They were getting inside their
- 1:14own head. And what you're going to hear in
- 1:16this hypnosis session is to really factor in this idea that
- 1:21how does that play out? If the anticipation of either
- 1:25pain or embarrassment stays there, could that impede their
- 1:30ability to have the kind of future that they would want?
- 1:35And then contrasting that with a different timeline and that
- 1:38timeline is going all out. So framing it that if they don't
- 1:45anticipate the pain, feeling that any pain, any injuries are
- 1:48manageable because every pain and injury they'd ever had in
- 1:51their life, they came to the conclusion that it was
- 1:54manageable, undesirable, but manageable.
- 1:57And therefore, to allow themselves to be more decisive,
- 2:03more intuitive, more instinctive, more aggressive.
- 2:06And how would that timeline play out?
- 2:08And it was their evaluation that that second version of them
- 2:13would have more opportunities, would feel a greater sense of
- 2:17pride and would have less probability of having regret in
- 2:21their future. And that's really what it's
- 2:23about, that the element of those people that hold back and don't
- 2:30really pursue big life goals end up either frustrated or
- 2:36regretful, and that's not normally a good thing.
- 2:40So although this is based around this idea of tackling and
- 2:43football, it's unlikely that you are an aspiring college American
- 2:50football player. In which case, allow football or
- 2:53the game to be a metaphor because I guarantee there is one
- 2:58area in your life that you're inside your own head too much,
- 3:02that you're holding back, that you're anticipating what may or
- 3:06may not happen or being judged. In which case, you're no
- 3:10different from this client that I was working with.
- 3:12It just happens to be football for them, and it might be
- 3:15something else for you. In which case, use the football
- 3:18game as the metaphor and think of your timeline taking you on
- 3:22two different paths, what your future looks like with this
- 3:25hesitation and anticipation and what it looks like when you kind
- 3:30of go all in and, and just deal with whatever life throws at
- 3:34you. And you might find that actually
- 3:36this helps you to just be a bit more of who you really are.
- 3:40Anyway. Of course, this was created for
- 3:43an individual. So if you like the idea of a
- 3:45bespoke individual session, there will be a link in the show
- 3:48notes where you can schedule that free consultation call to
- 3:51explore working with me. For now though, find a quiet,
- 3:54comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
- 3:56Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 4:47you breathe in, breathe in a feeling of relaxation.
- 4:50And as you exhale, allow your eyelids to close.
- 4:56That's it. And when you breathe in, breathe
- 5:01in slightly deeper than you normally would.
- 5:05And as you exhale, just allow that outward breath to elongate,
- 5:12going out for longer. When you breathe in, just
- 5:17imagine breathing in a feeling of relaxation, and as you
- 5:23exhale, feel a sense of tension, stress, or worries.
- 5:29Feel like it's leaving your body in the outward breath.
- 5:40As you breathe in and breathe out, scan your body for any
- 5:45clues of tension, perhaps around your forehead, your eyelids,
- 5:53even your jaw, and give permission for this tension to
- 5:59be released, especially in that outward breath.
- 6:09As you feel your body begin to relax, notice your eyelids
- 6:15getting heavier as you find it very easy to focus on the sound
- 6:23of my voice. The deeper you breathe, the more
- 6:29relaxed you become, and the more relaxed you become, the deeper
- 6:33you breathe. As your physical body relaxes,
- 6:39your imagination awakens. I want you to use the power of
- 6:47your imagination to imagine a field, maybe a specific field or
- 6:56just a field that your imagination presents you with.
- 7:05Imagine it's a sunny day, blue skies.
- 7:10I don't want you to imagine you are barefoot on this field.
- 7:16Feel the sensation of that grass underneath the soles of your
- 7:23feet, feeling like you're grounding, connecting between
- 7:31your energy and that of the earth beneath you, which you can
- 7:38imagine the feeling of sunshine on your skin.
- 7:40And when you find what looks to be a comfortable patch of grass,
- 7:52imagine how good it would feel to lie on that grass.
- 7:59Just imagine blue skies and fluffy white clouds.
- 8:06Imagine the sensation perhaps of your hands, arms or legs just
- 8:13there on that soft grass. As you look up at the blue
- 8:18skies, I just noticed the clouds floating by.
- 8:27Moving slowly and with each breath you take, allow yourself
- 8:38to drift deeper into relaxation. Each time you exhale, feel your
- 8:47body sinking into the grass beneath you, becoming heavier
- 8:54and more relaxed, and maybe you can notice just how calm and
- 9:01peaceful it feels, as though you're becoming one with the
- 9:07earth beneath you. And now, with each cloud you see
- 9:14drifting above, I want you to imagine that you're counting
- 9:19them down. Let's start with #10 and as you
- 9:30focus on that first cloud, allow your body to relax even more
- 9:37deeply. Ten, you're watching that cloud
- 9:43slowly drift away. And then nine, another cloud
- 9:48deeper, still, feeling relaxed. 8 becoming more and more at
- 9:56ease. That's it.
- 9:59As you loosen any muscles in your jaw, 7 every muscle in your
- 10:04body unwinding, six, just releasing any tension in your
- 10:10neck and your shoulders, and five, letting go of any
- 10:15remaining tension 4 continuing to see those clouds and feeling
- 10:21peaceful and calm, and then three.
- 10:27Imagine your body feeling heavy, but in a good way, heavy and
- 10:33relaxed. Two, almost completely relaxed
- 10:39and one, deeply, deeply relaxed. So with every breath you take,
- 10:48feel yourself even more relaxed, even more open to the
- 10:53suggestions I'm about to give you.
- 11:00So now, as you lie here, imagining the sensation of the
- 11:05grass beneath you, I want you to bring your focus to your body.
- 11:13Imagine a warm wave of relaxation spreading through
- 11:16your muscles, starting off at your toes and moving up to your
- 11:22feet. That sensation comes up to your
- 11:26calves, your thighs, your hips, and all the way up to your chest
- 11:32and then your arms and then your head as you feel how deeply
- 11:36relaxed you are, calm, comfortable, and completely in
- 11:45control. I want you to get a sense that
- 11:54for the last few months, perhaps even years, you've been holding
- 12:00back from what you're truly capable of.
- 12:07Some people call it analysis paralysis.
- 12:12Some people call it hesitation. I want you to get a sense that
- 12:20for very good reasons, you've been holding back.
- 12:25Because your brain is not hardwired for success, growth,
- 12:32accomplishment, even happiness. Your brain is hard wired for
- 12:40safety and security. Your brain is trying to keep you
- 12:50safe. Those split seconds of
- 12:55hesitation, of avoidance, of not for fully committing.
- 13:05It's because your brain wants to keep you safe.
- 13:11But what if keeping you safe from very manageable pain takes
- 13:20away from you the ability to live an incredible life, to live
- 13:26your dream? I want you to get a sense then.
- 13:35Physical pain is always temporary, but regrets can echo
- 13:43for decades. I want you to get a sense then
- 13:50203040 years from now, you won't be able to recall any injuries
- 13:58or physical pain, but you might still feel a sense of
- 14:05frustration of what you missed out on.
- 14:11So let's explore two different futures.
- 14:17The first future where you hold back, and the second future
- 14:25where you give everything you've got.
- 14:36I want you to imagine up in the sky now.
- 14:41Instead of seeing clouds, just imagine seeing a ginormous
- 14:46television screen, almost like the sky is now a movie theatre.
- 14:58And I want you to imagine yourself on that screen, pitcher
- 15:04yourself standing at the edge of the football field, see yourself
- 15:10mid game preparing to make a tackle, and see yourself
- 15:17hesitating, pausing. Maybe you can see the weight of
- 15:28the moment, the decision you need to make.
- 15:35I want you to get a sense that that version of you pauses.
- 15:42That version of you either doesn't make the tackle at all
- 15:48or makes it too late and just see yourself being trucked,
- 15:54being sent flying off. I want you to get a sense then
- 16:02in this first timeline you're seeing that there is a self
- 16:09fulfilling prophecy that by hesitating you increase the risk
- 16:16of injury and any injuries give you more evidence to hold back
- 16:23even more. So see that version of you that
- 16:30hesitates, that is thinking about pain before there is any
- 16:37pain? Someone who anticipates
- 16:42undesirable outcomes, the weight of the pressure, or the anxiety
- 16:47of failure. This version of you lacks
- 16:52certainty, unsure of whether to go for the tackle, afraid of
- 16:59getting hurt or just messing up the moment in this timeline, see
- 17:10yourself backing off, letting the hesitation take hold.
- 17:15This version of you has gone very good at justifying that
- 17:23hesitation, those failed attempts.
- 17:29But I want you to imagine that others are also watching
- 17:36coaches, scouts, other players. There is a reputation that is
- 17:44being built around you, capable and competent but somehow
- 17:53holding back. I want you to see how this plays
- 18:00out, not in one game, but over a season, over a school year.
- 18:10I want you to see that this version of you has doors of
- 18:14opportunity closing that you have no idea about.
- 18:21You're not involved in those conversations.
- 18:23There is no opportunity to do things differently.
- 18:28You're being evaluated without your realisation.
- 18:33I want you to step into that version of you, game after game
- 18:43after game. Feel the hesitation, the doubt,
- 18:48the uncertainty, the frustration.
- 18:57You feel that you can't trust your intuition in this timeline
- 19:02and get a sense that certain things are happening which give
- 19:07you clues that people are losing confidence in your abilities.
- 19:17Maybe less time on the field playing, less feedback you're
- 19:25getting from certain coaches. I want you to get a sense.
- 19:33Then you're also feeling frustrated.
- 19:39Feel that because of this, some of the enthusiasm for the game
- 19:44is going. I want you to get a sense.
- 19:49Then this version of you is trapped in a cycle, cycle of
- 19:56doubt and fear, and as you continue to avoid these
- 20:01challenges, bring it to an inevitable conclusion as to what
- 20:11is to likely happen in this timeline.
- 20:17Perhaps missing a scholarship offer or perhaps just feeling
- 20:23frustrated. That you never really gave it
- 20:27your all. Feel the heaviness of this
- 20:31timeline, the weight of hesitation, and just get a sense
- 20:36of how much it is holding you back.
- 20:43If you get a sense that this is in no way desirable, let me know
- 20:47by nodding your head. That's it.
- 20:52Then just shrink that screen all the way down and create a new
- 20:55screen, even bigger this time, even more colorful.
- 20:59Let's make it 3 dimensional, filling up the whole sky.
- 21:04But now you see yourself one day, one week from now.
- 21:11But this time you can see something different in your
- 21:14facial expression. Something has changed.
- 21:20There is a fearlessness, an aura of invincibility.
- 21:27This version of you is fearless in the face of an opposition.
- 21:38See yourself intuitively making tackles, perhaps a second, even
- 21:472 earlier than you would have done in the past, and because of
- 21:51that, you're able to pick up more speed, build more momentum,
- 21:58and the laws of physics are now on your side.
- 22:03See yourself making more tackles.
- 22:06See yourself with more aggression, more dominance, more
- 22:11belief, making hard tackles. I want you to see the
- 22:20expressions of other people on your team or the coaches.
- 22:25See that you are building a reputation of fearlessness.
- 22:33See that version of you that's decisive, fearless, intuitive.
- 22:43And that intuition means that your unconscious is doing the
- 22:47thinking for you, and you can trust that your body is
- 22:52evaluating all the information possible.
- 22:58Sometimes you'll be amazed at what you did, not knowing where
- 23:01it came from, and yet you did it.
- 23:06This new version of you is not afraid of pain.
- 23:11This version of you knows that pain is simply part of the game.
- 23:15It's manageable, it's temporary, and it doesn't stop you.
- 23:22It never holds you back. This version of you makes
- 23:27decisions quickly, instinctively, without
- 23:30hesitation. See that version of you, game
- 23:35after game, trusting your body, trusting your training, and
- 23:43trusting your drive. Maybe see yourself two months
- 23:53from now. See yourself on that same field,
- 24:00but now even more committed to every tackle.
- 24:06And then step into that version of you.
- 24:10Feel that you're not watching it on a screen in the sky, but you
- 24:13are on the field. Feel the power of your legs as
- 24:18you Sprint forward, feeling like you're going faster than you've
- 24:22ever sprinted before. You'll focus sharp and clear.
- 24:29There is no thought at all about pain, the hit, or any potential
- 24:34failure. You're focused on the objective,
- 24:42the goal, the purpose. You move decisively, powerfully,
- 24:47without fear, without hesitation.
- 24:52Feel yourself making the tackle a hard tackle.
- 24:56Feel it's successful and feel a rush of pride and
- 25:01accomplishment. Feel a sense of invincibility.
- 25:08Logically, you know you're not invincible.
- 25:12You're not immune from pain, but it has no place in your mind
- 25:17here on the field. And then imagine being back on
- 25:23the grass, looking up at that huge 3 dimensional movie theatre
- 25:31in the sky and you see this version of you committing to
- 25:37your training with a new level of focus and dedication.
- 25:44See yourself pushing harder, becoming faster, stronger, more
- 25:49agile. This version of you is the
- 25:53hardest training player on the field.
- 25:59You have the goal to out train anyone else and the results of
- 26:05this hard work begin to show and soon.
- 26:09Just imagine, maybe you're training, or maybe you're
- 26:13playing a game and you catch the attention of scouts or coaches.
- 26:21And the more attention you get, the more leverage you have.
- 26:26And just travel through time until you see yourself receiving
- 26:31not one, but several scholarship offers, the kind of colleges you
- 26:37would love to attend. Imagine choosing one of those.
- 26:44And then imagine seeing yourself in college, playing football at
- 26:48an even higher level. Maybe you can imagine the
- 26:52stadium, perhaps even the name of the team, the name of the
- 26:58college, maybe the lights shining down, crowd cheering.
- 27:05And then step into it and feel the adrenaline pumping through
- 27:08your veins. Feel that all of these high
- 27:13standards, intense training and fearless tackles have prepared
- 27:20you well. Feel that you're playing your
- 27:23best game, feeling fast, strong and fearless.
- 27:28Imagine making tackle after tackle, each one more powerful
- 27:32than the last. Switch perspectives back to the
- 27:39field, looking up at this three-dimensional movie screen
- 27:43in the sky. But now imagine that you're
- 27:46watching your college highlight reel filled with the very best
- 27:52moments of your college football career.
- 27:57See those amazing tackles, the key plays, maybe celebrations
- 28:04and victories that you've achieved.
- 28:08When you see yourself in that moment of success, knowing
- 28:14you've left nothing behind, you've put everything in, your
- 28:22fearless attitude, your commitment and your instinctive
- 28:25play LED you to this place. And as you imagine that
- 28:35accomplishment and success, let's create an anchor so you
- 28:42can retrieve it. So just imagine that feeling of
- 28:46power, fearlessness and confidence in your chest.
- 28:50Right there in the centre of your body.
- 28:55Feel how strong and unstoppable you are.
- 28:58And with every breath, this feeling grows stronger.
- 29:02And I want you to imagine a glowing light in the centre of
- 29:06your chest, something like Iron Man.
- 29:10Just imagine it there, glowing, the new level of power.
- 29:16Feel the glowing sensation in your chest and feel that
- 29:21whenever you step onto the field, you can tap into that
- 29:26strength, that fearless Dr. You can imagine that glowing light
- 29:31there in your chest and when you need to make a tackle, you feel
- 29:37this amplified feeling of confidence rise up inside you.
- 29:42No need to hesitate, you'll move instinctively.
- 29:47The idea of pain doesn't enter your mind.
- 29:50You will make the play. From this moment on, you will
- 29:57feel more decisive in every situation, whether it's time to
- 30:03tackle. You will trust your body and
- 30:08your instincts. You will be fearless in the face
- 30:12of pain, knowing that it's manageable, that it's part of
- 30:16the game and you're prepared for it.
- 30:21You will no longer hesitate or shy away from challenges.
- 30:26You will embrace them with confidence and each decision you
- 30:31make will be swift, natural, and powerful.
- 30:38Every time you step onto the field, you'll carry this
- 30:44blueprint of you. This is the version you will
- 30:49activate, the version that plays with intensity, fearlessness,
- 30:55and unshakable confidence. You are ready to take on
- 31:00anything that comes your way. Or you could always choose to
- 31:07hesitate, to not fully commit. You have the choice.
- 31:16But if it feels like you're now choosing to trust your instincts
- 31:25to go all in, let me know by nodding your head.
- 31:29That's in. So just imagine shrinking this
- 31:34huge screen in the sky down to a dot, place it inside a cloud.
- 31:39And then imagine getting up off that grass and walking back.
- 31:45But you're walking back now into your own physical body, taking
- 31:49all of these new feelings and resources with you.
- 31:53A new standard, a new level of intensity, a new level of
- 32:00aggression. You almost can't wait for the
- 32:06very next tackle. It's time to return to the
- 32:09present. So take a deep breath in through
- 32:13your nose and out through your nose.
- 32:17Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes as I now count
- 32:20from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 32:24Starting to count 123 Waking up 456.
- 32:29More alert 7-8 Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910.
- 32:35Wide awake, Wide awake. Wide awake.
