- 0:00Speaker 1: For all your mad bastards Loving the Big Show podcast
- 0:05Speaker 1: Get Up even Closer on Instagram, YouTube and tictu off
- 0:09Speaker 1: for tuggets four to seven every weekday on radio.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Hello, nice part, it's kind we need Yeah, yeah, yeah, moggie,
- 0:23Speaker 2: how are you today?
- 0:23Speaker 1: Man Ship, man Ship, sang of ship today. I was
- 0:26Speaker 1: all going when I wake up. And then I had
- 0:28Speaker 1: back to back to back to back meetings in person,
- 0:33Speaker 1: and I just knew I was looked at it and
- 0:35Speaker 1: I should cancel them some of them, but I didn't.
- 0:39Speaker 1: And then in the last one, I was like, all right,
- 0:41Speaker 1: fellows on the out of here, I'm gonna go home
- 0:42Speaker 1: and have a sleep.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Nice.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Yes, I'm just fucked, that's but I definitely feel better.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I haven't got the in the sense that I don't
- 0:51Speaker 1: have the block nose or the cough sort of thing
- 0:54Speaker 1: going on at all.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Nice.
- 0:55Speaker 1: But it's like you remember when you got COVID and
- 0:57Speaker 1: your brain was just fucking just done. It's right there,
- 1:01Speaker 1: that's right there.
- 1:01Speaker 3: It's like me yesterday, wow, and me yesterday.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05Speaker 4: It's like pugs, yes, yes, hangover yesterday yeah.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:09Speaker 1: So not not one hundred percent, but I've had some
- 1:11Speaker 1: cold medicine. I went into the pharmacist and I said,
- 1:14Speaker 1: I want your most most.
- 1:17Speaker 3: What's it potent?
- 1:19Speaker 1: What's his name? There? The deputy Prime Minister. This is
- 1:22Speaker 1: where I met David. Give me your most David Seymour
- 1:25Speaker 1: flu drags. So that led to an interrogation.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Yeah, but I got.
- 1:31Speaker 1: The drugs at the end and have been smashing those.
- 1:34Speaker 3: So you were you're full of myth right now, then
- 1:35Speaker 3: full of myth?
- 1:36Speaker 1: Man myth would do the job.
- 1:39Speaker 5: Some chat fellers, imagine that, Imagine we just say, let's
- 1:43Speaker 5: just do a myth show where because Pugs you you
- 1:46Speaker 5: you were saying, you've got the hookups for myth, got
- 1:48Speaker 5: the hookups for myth, and we just do it.
- 1:50Speaker 3: How often would we need to do it, Mogan? Because
- 1:53Speaker 3: just once?
- 1:53Speaker 1: But well how much would you need to And then
- 1:55Speaker 1: how many times would you do it? Because you would
- 1:57Speaker 1: do it as often as you can get your hands
- 1:59Speaker 1: on the pipe. Right. What seems to happen when you're
- 2:01Speaker 1: in a meth circle and we've all been there, yeah,
- 2:04Speaker 1: is all you're doing is you're waiting for the guy
- 2:06Speaker 1: holding on to it to shut the fuck up and
- 2:08Speaker 1: pass it, right, because he's the guy that will be
- 2:10Speaker 1: talking the most and he'll be reluctant to pass it on.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Right, Okay, yeah, to hell of a drug.
- 2:17Speaker 1: And the great thing about it is it removes people's
- 2:19Speaker 1: sense of humor.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Oh cool, it's really good.
- 2:22Speaker 1: So the pipe, intense chat, no humor whatsoever, no laughing,
- 2:29Speaker 1: just sort of people are sort of photocopies of photocopies
- 2:34Speaker 1: of themselves, right, not quite there, right, So it's a
- 2:37Speaker 1: really good yew, especially of the person's day two, day three.
- 2:43Speaker 2: So if we did myth and then recording a show,
- 2:46Speaker 2: it would be no humor whatsoever and just nothing but
- 2:48Speaker 2: bullshit for three hours.
- 2:50Speaker 1: One hundred percent. It was real good show. It would
- 2:53Speaker 1: be worth it. I'd listened to it. I would listen
- 2:56Speaker 1: to that show.
- 2:56Speaker 2: And it sounds like a regular show. We do to
- 2:58Speaker 2: be honest through Friday Pugs, because where do you get
- 3:02Speaker 2: your myth from?
- 3:03Speaker 6: Where do I get my myth from?
- 3:04Speaker 4: I usually just buy other drugs, And because it's New Zealand,
- 3:06Speaker 4: they cut with myths, so you just have that.
- 3:08Speaker 3: It's true.
- 3:09Speaker 4: It's like you just buy anything else, you know what
- 3:12Speaker 4: I mean? Not in my experience, I don't buy drugs.
- 3:15Speaker 3: What experience?
- 3:15Speaker 6: Yeah, I was gonna say, I don't condone them either.
- 3:18Speaker 2: The whole Archy Big Show week days from four on
- 3:21Speaker 2: Radio Hurdarchy.
- 3:23Speaker 3: They Big Show Podcast.
- 3:25Speaker 2: That's what's great about the show is none of us
- 3:28Speaker 2: buy or consume or condone drugs in any way, and
- 3:31Speaker 2: if we did, If any of us did, I would
- 3:33Speaker 2: be fuman. I mean, obviously, Jase jokes about trying to
- 3:36Speaker 2: get Tramis off me, but he's just joking. He actually
- 3:38Speaker 2: took me aside the other day after that chat and
- 3:40Speaker 2: did hey, Keazy, seriously get rid of those tramies mate?
- 3:42Speaker 3: Put them in the b date and put them up
- 3:45Speaker 3: my date.
- 3:46Speaker 2: He refers to his anus as the burn. How was
- 3:56Speaker 2: the don't tell me how the movie itself was, But
- 3:59Speaker 2: how fucked were you last night?
- 4:00Speaker 6: Pretty fucked?
- 4:01Speaker 2: Because I had a bath at like seventh I've been
- 4:05Speaker 2: seven forty five. Soon as I got home, I was
- 4:06Speaker 2: freezing straight in the bath and I was sitting there thinking,
- 4:10Speaker 2: sitting there thinking about you Pugs and going fuck being
- 4:12Speaker 2: Pugs right now.
- 4:13Speaker 6: It was a similar experience to it in the movie
- 4:15Speaker 6: as well.
- 4:16Speaker 3: What's that being fucked?
- 4:19Speaker 4: I mean, I would like to say it didn't, But
- 4:22Speaker 4: at the same time, when I'm like that and when
- 4:25Speaker 4: I'm particularly tired.
- 4:26Speaker 6: Everything sort of has a shitty lens over the.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Top of it.
- 4:29Speaker 4: It certainly maybe more critical, but also we'll get into
- 4:34Speaker 4: it on the into the review later. But yeah, I
- 4:37Speaker 4: think just generally like my attitude and like you think
- 4:40Speaker 4: everybody's out to get you in.
- 4:41Speaker 3: A way, you were already sort of starting to do that.
- 4:44Speaker 6: We get like a little bit.
- 4:45Speaker 2: What yeah at the movies.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Nah, yeah, you're just sort of get in that mood
- 4:55Speaker 4: where you become slightly insecure with yourself.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I'm never like that.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Nah.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Nah, did anyone enjoy it?
- 5:05Speaker 4: Look, there were certainly moments where were all like, you know,
- 5:09Speaker 4: enjoying the experience together.
- 5:11Speaker 6: But yeah, just you know, save it for the show Man.
- 5:15Speaker 6: You'll hear all about it.
- 5:16Speaker 1: And I think I'm going to get off the I
- 5:18Speaker 1: think I'm got to get off the gram A. I
- 5:20Speaker 1: was watching a movie last night. I just got I've
- 5:22Speaker 1: got no time for the movies. Yeah, I think so.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I think it's it's really affecting my right for you
- 5:32Speaker 1: right now. What I need to do is get off
- 5:33Speaker 1: the graand the trouble I needed is I need to
- 5:35Speaker 1: do it for work, which is a real ball ache,
- 5:38Speaker 1: and I want to get rid of all of my
- 5:39Speaker 1: Netflix and all of that shit and only go to movies.
- 5:43Speaker 4: I've recently been reinvigorated. My passion for the cinema as
- 5:46Speaker 4: has come back because you.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Have to watch it. There's no phone, there's no walking away. Yeah,
- 5:54Speaker 1: that's what I should do. Good. It's forty backs apot.
- 5:58Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, I mean and we it was. It was
- 6:01Speaker 6: a giveaway ticket that we got last.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Night, so I was very grateful for that. But then, like,
- 6:06Speaker 4: but the week before when I went to Fargo, that
- 6:08Speaker 4: was a good, like fifty dollars operation for an old movie. Yeah,
- 6:13Speaker 4: but cool though, and a fantastic movie.
- 6:16Speaker 6: So work fifty I think it was like two or
- 6:19Speaker 6: three tickets.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah right, see snack Oh what for three? That
- 6:23Speaker 4: was for three and then the snacks and beers and
- 6:26Speaker 4: shitting it out being like another fifty bucks Where is
- 6:29Speaker 4: it Academy? Yeah, but they do five dollars Wednesdays, but
- 6:32Speaker 4: it wasn't Wednesdays.
- 6:33Speaker 2: The way you are feeling right now in terms of
- 6:36Speaker 2: your movie consumption. That's what the young generation is going
- 6:38Speaker 2: to be like in the future. Yeah, they're already fucking
- 6:42Speaker 2: and I you know.
- 6:43Speaker 6: Well do they make films now on Netflix?
- 6:45Speaker 3: They're designed a second screen watch.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Yeah, they're designed so that they repeat the plot every
- 6:49Speaker 4: so often so that you can like.
- 6:51Speaker 2: And swing back in if you sit down without a phone,
- 6:53Speaker 2: complete and watch it and lock in.
- 6:56Speaker 3: It is garbage.
- 6:57Speaker 6: You're like, why are you explaining this to me again?
- 6:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it's throughout the movie. If the movie is is
- 7:01Speaker 2: a bomb on a train, you've got to difuse it.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Like every thirty second, someone, We're going to defuse this
- 7:05Speaker 2: bomb on this train.
- 7:06Speaker 3: There's a bomb on this train, so that every time
- 7:09Speaker 3: you glimpse your phone.
- 7:10Speaker 1: God, it's depressing, it is. It is absolute shit.
- 7:14Speaker 3: I don't know, well it is.
- 7:16Speaker 1: It is depressing easy because filmmaking is meant to be
- 7:20Speaker 1: an art form, and the way that they make it
- 7:22Speaker 1: is it's not art anymore. There's nothing mentally like, it's
- 7:24Speaker 1: meant to be a commentary on society and politics and
- 7:27Speaker 1: all of these different things, but nobody makes them anymore
- 7:30Speaker 1: because you've got the one big corporation that buys up
- 7:32Speaker 1: all of the other corporations just to make shit so
- 7:36Speaker 1: that it's nothing challenging for the population. So it's like
- 7:40Speaker 1: nineteen eighty four, it is here is some shit to
- 7:43Speaker 1: keep them occupied. But nothing that's mentally stimulating or that
- 7:48Speaker 1: would make you have a conversation about anything deeper than
- 7:51Speaker 1: there's a bomb on the train.
- 7:52Speaker 3: That's where the big show comes in.
- 7:53Speaker 1: That's where we're coming.
- 7:54Speaker 3: So you can listen.
- 7:55Speaker 2: To our show, and I like to think that at
- 7:58Speaker 2: least every sort of two minutes will say something or
- 8:01Speaker 2: discuss something that makes you go home to.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Change the channel to news talk correct backbone.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Well, we're at the eight minute mark, but there's people
- 8:11Speaker 2: out here coming in for an interview.
- 8:12Speaker 1: They are I'm going to set out not because it's
- 8:15Speaker 1: got it, because I really want to talk to them,
- 8:17Speaker 1: but I've just got nothing. So I'm just going to
- 8:19Speaker 1: go and let these drugs kick and feelers and you
- 8:21Speaker 1: guys can because there's two of them as well, isn't it.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Yeah, sound there'll be plenty of check. Don't you worry there, MOGI.
- 8:26Speaker 2: All right, Hey, thanks for listening. With the full show
- 8:29Speaker 2: be back in full strength this coming Tuesday after ANZAC weekend.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Are you have a lovely long weekend New Zealand?
- 8:34Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 8:35Speaker 3: Okay, guys, see that.
- 8:36Speaker 6: Bye,
