- 0:00Speaker 1: Woo!
- 0:01Speaker 2: Stu Gatz.
- 0:01Speaker 1: Woo!
- 0:02Speaker 3: I gotta be honest with you, Bruce, there's a good
- 0:03Speaker 3: chance I'd be high anyway.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Woo!
- 0:05Speaker 4: And I'm wondering how the football weekend was. Were you
- 0:07Speaker 4: able to watch it? Wow, what happened? Oh, I'm tired
- 0:12Speaker 4: of him.
- 0:12Speaker 2: I'm serious.
- 0:13Speaker 4: How about that?
- 0:14Speaker 2: In company. We are mother shuckers, baby.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Woo!
- 0:17Speaker 1: Bruce, does Faison Brandon's name sound like it's on backwards?
- 0:20Speaker 4: No doubt.
- 0:21Speaker 1: It's time to get your.
- 0:23Speaker 1: It's time to get your financials. To get the all boat.
- 0:28Speaker 4: You got nothing right there.
- 0:29Speaker 1: This is not going well.
- 0:31Speaker 2: This is Stu Gotts and Company. Stu, back to you.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Taylor, put it on the poll, please, before we get
- 0:37Speaker 3: to the top five games and discuss last night's game.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Is A.J.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Brown washed?
- 0:41Speaker 4: Mikey A. just said that to me right before we
- 0:43Speaker 4: got started here.
- 0:45Speaker 3: And I think it's a fair question to ask when
- 0:47Speaker 3: you consider three catches, 46 yards, no touchdowns.
- 0:51Speaker 4: He's been an absolute disaster. thus far for the New
- 0:54Speaker 4: England Patriots.
- 0:55Speaker 1: If you took the name off the back of A.J.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Brown's jersey and judged him strictly off what he's putting
- 1:00Speaker 1: on tape right now, you'd say he's a below-average receiver.
- 1:04Speaker 1: And I'm not going as far to say that A.J.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Brown is washed or A.J. Brown suddenly forgot how to
- 1:10Speaker 1: play football. The Patriots, though, for the Patriots team to
- 1:14Speaker 1: reach their full potential this season... they're going to need A.J.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Brown to start looking like A.J. Brown again. The deep
- 1:19Speaker 1: ball that he dropped, that's a tough play for really
- 1:23Speaker 1: any receiver to make, I think. But A.J. Brown's not
- 1:26Speaker 1: supposed to be any other receiver.
- 1:28Speaker 3: A.J.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Brown's supposed to be a top-ten receiver. And then don't
- 1:31Speaker 1: even get me started on his blocking last night. His
- 1:33Speaker 1: blocking was his blocking. I'm putting blocking in quotes because
- 1:38Speaker 1: of how bad his blocking effort was. Where if he
- 1:42Speaker 1: just puts even the slightest bit of effort on that
- 1:45Speaker 1: Romandre Stevenson run in the first quarter when they're already
- 1:49Speaker 1: down 10-0... That springs him free for a touchdown. That's
- 1:53Speaker 1: the difference in these games.
- 1:54Speaker 4: It seems like I didn't have to get you started.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Yeah, don't get me started.
- 1:56Speaker 4: You said don't get me started, and then you got started.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Don't get me started.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Self-starter right there.
- 2:02Speaker 4: You started anyways.
- 2:03Speaker 3: What's the point of telling me if you're going to
- 2:05Speaker 3: start anyway?
- 2:06Speaker 1: You just look at A.J. Brown, and he looks like
- 2:09Speaker 1: a Greek god in terms of his body and what
- 2:13Speaker 1: he's supposed to be able to do in physique and
- 2:15Speaker 1: what he's supposed to be able to do on a
- 2:16Speaker 1: football field. So when I'm a 5'9, scrawny receiver who
- 2:22Speaker 1: doesn't have half the tools A.J. Brown has, seeing him
- 2:25Speaker 1: waste his potential where he was refusing to block a
- 2:29Speaker 1: defensive back, it's insulting to the game of football.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. His lack of blocking is?
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Okay, put it on the poll. Is A.J. Brown's lack
- 2:38Speaker 4: of blocking an insult to football?
- 2:40Speaker 2: If I had A.J.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Brown's physique, they would be measuring me right now for
- 2:45Speaker 1: a gold jacket.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Yes, don't think I don't notice. There are a million
- 2:48Speaker 3: poll questions I ask you to put on the poll.
- 2:50Speaker 3: I still got 790 at X that you don't put on.
- 2:53Speaker 1: We're spinning a lot of plates here.
- 2:55Speaker 4: I know, but just keep track and write them down.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Someone write them down.
- 2:58Speaker 1: There's two of you.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Just somebody write them down so we can get them
- 3:02Speaker 3: all on there. Mikey, what were your thoughts besides A.J.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Brown being washed?
- 3:07Speaker 2: No, I have more thoughts on A.J. Brown being washed.
- 3:11Speaker 2: You're absolutely right that those deep balls, like, that's what
- 3:14Speaker 2: you're there for. And for the most part, A.J. Brown
- 3:18Speaker 2: is a non-factor in this offense. Like, he had three catches,
- 3:22Speaker 2: and I think two of them came in garbage time
- 3:25Speaker 2: of the half and garbage time of the end of
- 3:27Speaker 2: the game. And they were wide open, just catch it
- 3:30Speaker 2: and fall to the ground.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Yes.
- 3:32Speaker 2: They're not even looking his way when it matters. And
- 3:35Speaker 2: he's supposed to be the player that gets them from
- 3:38Speaker 2: Super Bowl contender to Super Bowl champion. And he's not
- 3:42Speaker 2: even interested, it looks like. It looks like he's already
- 3:47Speaker 2: upset with his usage. Meanwhile, he got 10 targets last
- 3:51Speaker 2: week and dropped 15. I would say six of them.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I think officially they counted it as three. But I
- 3:57Speaker 2: think even even he'd tell you he dropped six of them.
- 4:00Speaker 3: You can't be the guy that, you know, you know,
- 4:02Speaker 3: fights his way, yells his way out of Philadelphia, wants
- 4:05Speaker 3: to be a number one wide receiver, wants to play
- 4:08Speaker 3: with a quarterback who can get him the ball down
- 4:10Speaker 3: the field, has that quarterback, is the guy in New
- 4:12Speaker 3: England and play the way he's played so far this season.
- 4:16Speaker 3: You cannot be that guy. Don't be that guy. And
- 4:19Speaker 3: he is that guy. And it's embarrassing. He's an embarrassment.
- 4:23Speaker 3: How about that?
- 4:23Speaker 1: Overall, if you're this Patriots team, I don't think there's
- 4:27Speaker 1: any shame in the Patriots losing to the Bears on
- 4:29Speaker 1: a short week.
- 4:30Speaker 4: No.
- 4:31Speaker 3: No.
- 4:31Speaker 2: In Chicago?
- 4:33Speaker 1: Yeah, in Chicago, the Mike Ditka game. I think the Bears-Patriots,
- 4:39Speaker 1: those are both.
- 4:40Speaker 4: How long ago did Ditka pass away?
- 4:42Speaker 1: It was the first home game.
- 4:43Speaker 4: I think three weeks ago Ditka passed away. Okay, the
- 4:46Speaker 4: Ditka game. Rest in peace, coach.
- 4:48Speaker 1: So I think the Patriots and the Bears, those are
- 4:51Speaker 1: both two good, two potentially great teams. And when you're
- 4:55Speaker 1: looking at the bears, like if you're starting an NFL
- 4:57Speaker 1: franchise today and you could pick any quarterback head coach combination,
- 5:01Speaker 1: people are racing to turn in that card to get
- 5:04Speaker 1: the Caleb Williams, Ben Johnson duo. But I do think
- 5:07Speaker 1: it's funny today that the narrative is that Caleb Williams
- 5:11Speaker 1: outdueled Drake may last night, but the only reason we're
- 5:14Speaker 1: not spending today killing Caleb Williams for that inexcusable decision
- 5:18Speaker 1: to take that sack on third down is because Cairo
- 5:21Speaker 1: Santos is bailed him out with a career-long 58-yard field goal.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Let me tell you something. Santos is not bailing anyone out.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Caleb Williams is bailing out the entire organization.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Are you kidding me?
- 5:32Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 5:34Speaker 1: Santos very clearly got him out.
- 5:36Speaker 3: The only reason that game was that close was because
- 5:38Speaker 3: the defense was not hustling that last play in the
- 5:41Speaker 3: first half.
- 5:42Speaker 4: Otherwise, the game's not even that close.
- 5:44Speaker 1: If Caleb Williams takes that sack on third down.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Right.
- 5:48Speaker 1: And Santos gets up there and misses the 58-yard field goal,
- 5:54Speaker 1: or say Ben Johnson decides to punt instead, and Caleb
- 5:56Speaker 1: Williams took points off the board, similar to what Drake
- 5:59Speaker 1: May did in the first half, throwing a red zone interception. Sue,
- 6:03Speaker 1: the narrative today is people crushing Caleb Williams, similar to
- 6:08Speaker 1: Jaden Daniels a couple of weeks ago, where he made
- 6:11Speaker 1: the mistake a quarterback can't make in these situations. Right.
- 6:15Speaker 2: There are moments where a quarterback has an opportunity to
- 6:19Speaker 2: make an absolutely incredible mistake, something that is simply unforgivable.
- 6:25Speaker 2: And the only good thing that happened for Caleb Williams
- 6:28Speaker 2: yesterday with that mistake is it didn't cost them the game,
- 6:31Speaker 2: like you were saying with Jaden Daniels. Jaden Daniels was
- 6:34Speaker 2: put in a position to make an unforgivable mistake, and
- 6:36Speaker 2: it cost them the win. Caleb Williams, Cairo Santos absolutely
- 6:41Speaker 2: bailed him out.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Put that aside. Is it Cairo Santos? Yeah. All right.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Put it on the poll.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Did Cairo Santos bail out Caleb Williams? Despite all of that.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Okay. I'll give you that.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Okay. He was bailed out last night. 22 of 33, 306,
- 6:59Speaker 3: two touchdowns, no interceptions. He makes plays that few quarterbacks
- 7:02Speaker 3: can make. Josh Allen comes to mind. Mahomes comes to mind.
- 7:06Speaker 3: He's in that category for me. Are you guys coming
- 7:09Speaker 3: around on Caleb Williams? being the greatest quarterback we've ever seen.
- 7:13Speaker 1: So I don't think I'm, I'm not there yet with,
- 7:15Speaker 1: in terms of Caleb Williams, the greatest quarterback you've ever seen.
- 7:18Speaker 1: But Caleb Williams' arm talent is definitely special. Like when
- 7:22Speaker 1: he's back there buying himself time, normally like when a
- 7:26Speaker 1: play is like two, three seconds, you're almost thinking, okay,
- 7:29Speaker 1: this play has got to be dead. Caleb Williams' ability
- 7:32Speaker 1: to like keep a play going and then fire off
- 7:35Speaker 1: a laser, like some of those passes to Roma Dunze
- 7:38Speaker 1: were incredible where Caleb Williams had eight 20-plus yard completions
- 7:42Speaker 1: against the Patriots. It's tied for the most by a
- 7:45Speaker 1: quarterback in a game this season. I am with you
- 7:49Speaker 1: in saying that Caleb Williams could be a generational quarterback.
- 7:54Speaker 1: I'm not there yet in saying he could be the
- 7:56Speaker 1: greatest quarterback we've ever seen.
- 8:00Speaker 2: He's in year three. Year one didn't go great. And
- 8:04Speaker 2: in year two, he got possibly, and I think even
- 8:07Speaker 2: you would agree, one of the greatest offensive minds to
- 8:11Speaker 2: lead him. I just think it's a little early to start.
- 8:16Speaker 2: He is physically gifted. There's no denying it. I just,
- 8:21Speaker 2: I need to see a lot more before I'm even
- 8:24Speaker 2: considering your.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Stu, the question I have for you.
- 8:28Speaker 4: He didn't finish.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Your moniker.
- 8:30Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Your moniker.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Stu, the question I have for you, Belichick and Brady
- 8:34Speaker 1: won six Super Bowls together in New England.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 1: If I set the over-under at five and a half,
- 8:40Speaker 1: Ben Johnson, Caleb Williams... Under.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Because you have to get to six to be considered
- 8:47Speaker 3: the greatest quarterback of all time.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Those are my rules.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Quarterback coach.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Yes.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Quarterback coach. Because I think you can make the argument
- 8:53Speaker 1: for Ben Johnson just as easily as you can make
- 8:55Speaker 1: the argument for Caleb Williams.
- 8:57Speaker 3: I know, but you guys keep falling for the coach thing.
- 8:59Speaker 3: And the second that Brady left Belichick, he won a
- 9:01Speaker 3: Super Bowl for Bruce Arians.
- 9:03Speaker 4: I mean.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Yeah, but the reverse of this is like, look at
- 9:05Speaker 1: what Caleb Williams was before Ben Johnson got to Chicago.
- 9:09Speaker 3: He was still going to be pretty good. I mean, guys,
- 9:12Speaker 3: regardless of who Caleb was, it's different with Brady. He
- 9:16Speaker 3: was a fifth or a sixth round pick. Caleb Williams
- 9:18Speaker 3: was supposed to be this. There's a reason he was
- 9:21Speaker 3: drafted number one overall. Like, he was going to make
- 9:24Speaker 3: some coach look good, and it just so happens that
- 9:26Speaker 3: it's Ben Johnson. Ben Johnson, Jared Goff was good under
- 9:30Speaker 3: Ben Johnson.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Meaning, like, I don't know.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Jared Goff is good.
- 9:34Speaker 4: What's that?
- 9:35Speaker 2: Jared Goff is good. Let's not throw shade at Jared Goff.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I get what he's saying.
- 9:40Speaker 4: No, but Jared Goff is still good, even without Ben Johnson.
- 9:44Speaker 3: You guys are assuming that Caleb Williams is only this
- 9:46Speaker 3: good because of Ben Johnson, and to me, that is absurd.
- 9:50Speaker 1: No, nobody's saying that Caleb Williams is only this because
- 9:53Speaker 1: of Ben Johnson, but a lot of being a quarterback
- 9:56Speaker 1: in the NFL is situationally. like if if caleb williams
- 10:00Speaker 1: gets drafted to chicago when matt naggy's the head coach
- 10:03Speaker 1: caleb williams isn't isn't what we're seeing today i.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Don't know some guys can overcome just about anything i
- 10:09Speaker 3: mean some guys are just that good at playing football
- 10:11Speaker 3: and playing that position they can overcome anything.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Who who is that good who's been that good josh
- 10:18Speaker 2: allen And he has how many Super Bowls?
- 10:22Speaker 4: He has none, but he's pretty good. How many appearances?
- 10:26Speaker 2: I'm not denying he's good, but we're asking over under
- 10:30Speaker 2: five and a half Super Bowls. You've got Josh Allen
- 10:32Speaker 2: as the only guy that you're putting in that name,
- 10:36Speaker 2: and he hasn't even sniffed a Super Bowl.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Yes, but you're giving Ben Johnson some sort of ability
- 10:41Speaker 3: that I don't think that he possesses. Ben Johnson, if
- 10:43Speaker 3: he was so good at doing this, he would have
- 10:44Speaker 3: gone to any team and made any offense and any
- 10:47Speaker 3: quarterback look as good as the Bears and Caleb Williams.
- 10:50Speaker 1: He could have went to any team, but I think
- 10:52Speaker 1: part of.
- 10:52Speaker 4: That— No, but he waited for Caleb Williams.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Why?
- 10:55Speaker 1: He went to Chicago because he had the opportunity to
- 10:57Speaker 1: work with Caleb Williams. If you have two options and
- 11:01Speaker 1: one quarterback is significantly better than the other, you're going
- 11:04Speaker 1: to pick the Caleb Williams option.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Okay, but who chose who? Why do you think Ben
- 11:08Speaker 3: Johnson chose Caleb Williams? Caleb Williams didn't choose Ben Johnson.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Nobody's denying Caleb Williams' talent. Nobody's denying Caleb Williams' raw talent.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Nobody's denying raw talent.
- 11:18Speaker 4: It seems like you guys want to assign it to
- 11:19Speaker 4: Ben Johnson. You do, yes.
- 11:21Speaker 1: It takes a certain level of coaching to unlock somebody's
- 11:24Speaker 1: full potential.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Does it?
- 11:29Speaker 2: Yes.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Give me the quarterback, the best quarterback with a bad
- 11:33Speaker 3: coach to win a Super Bowl.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Tom Brady, Bruce Arians. Who else?
- 11:36Speaker 2: Peyton Manning.
- 11:37Speaker 4: I mean.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Peyton Manning.
- 11:41Speaker 3: I'm just saying some quarterbacks are so special, it doesn't matter.
- 11:44Speaker 3: They'll make the situation. They walk into a great situation,
- 11:48Speaker 3: despite who the coach is, despite any of it.
- 11:51Speaker 4: Ben Johnson, okay? If Ben Johnson went to, I don't know,
- 11:55Speaker 4: the Jets, Mikey.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Jalen Hurts.
- 11:57Speaker 4: Do you think he'd be that successful?
- 12:00Speaker 2: Do I think Ben Johnson would be that successful? No.
- 12:04Speaker 4: All right.
- 12:05Speaker 1: He wouldn't be that successful because he doesn't have a
- 12:07Speaker 1: quarterback like Caleb Williams. I think we're arguing the same.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Thing, essentially. Put it on the poll and we're arguing
- 12:14Speaker 4: the same thing.
- 12:16Speaker 3: We're trying to figure out who's the reason for who
- 12:19Speaker 3: being great, and I'm telling you, the reason Ben Johnson
- 12:21Speaker 3: has been so great at this job is because of
- 12:24Speaker 3: Caleb Williams, not the other way around.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I think a great coach needs a great quarterback, and
- 12:29Speaker 1: a great quarterback needs a great coach.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Okay. Again, so Jalen Hurts is a good example.
- 12:37Speaker 1: That might not be a great coach or a great quarterback.
- 12:40Speaker 3: All right, but we're doing it just by Super Bowls.
- 12:42Speaker 3: You agree Joe Burrow is a great quarterback. He just
- 12:44Speaker 3: doesn't have a great coach, right?
- 12:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers?
- 12:49Speaker 4: Yeah. Yep.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Ricardo just said he's a bad coach.
- 12:53Speaker 4: I heard him in the background. Just firing off Salvos.
- 12:59Speaker 4: He's a bad coach. McCarthy is a bad coach.
- 13:01Speaker 3: And Aaron Rodgers was good enough to overcome how bad
- 13:04Speaker 3: of a coach he was. I will give you that
- 13:07Speaker 3: Ben Johnson is a great coach. If I had to
- 13:09Speaker 3: choose one head coach today, it'd be him or Kyle Shanahan.
- 13:13Speaker 4: Right?
- 13:14Speaker 3: But I am telling you that Caleb Williams is what,
- 13:16Speaker 3: like Kyle Shanahan to me doing it with Brock Purdy.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Ben Johnson do it with Brock Purdy. How about that?
- 13:22Speaker 4: That's all I'm saying. Is that fair?
- 13:24Speaker 1: He did it with Case Keenum for a week.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Well, that's pretty comparable. Yeah, he did.
- 13:31Speaker 3: If you hear frustration in my voice, you guys just
- 13:33Speaker 3: simply won't give me How great Kayla Williams is.
- 13:37Speaker 4: You're basing it on Super Bowl. I don't know.
- 13:39Speaker 2: You're just you're you're just so far down the road. No,
- 13:42Speaker 2: but I in your in your in your moniker that
- 13:45Speaker 2: I'm just I can't even come close to that yet.
- 13:47Speaker 3: No, I just hate when we say this guy is
- 13:49Speaker 3: great because he landed with this coach. No, he would
- 13:52Speaker 3: have been great regardless. That's all I'm saying, Mikey.
- 13:55Speaker 1: So I'll concede something to you. The Drake May, Caleb
- 13:59Speaker 1: Williams debate. I think these two quarterbacks, because of where
- 14:05Speaker 1: they were drafted, they're going to be compared their entire careers.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Both of them look like they're franchise quarterbacks at this
- 14:12Speaker 1: point through their third year now where Drake May makes
- 14:16Speaker 1: it to a Super Bowl. caleb williams and the bears
- 14:18Speaker 1: look like a legit super bowl threat this year i
- 14:21Speaker 1: will concede that right now i'm taking caleb williams 10
- 14:24Speaker 1: out of 10 times because drake may's red zone interception
- 14:28Speaker 1: last night it wound up being the difference in the
- 14:30Speaker 1: game where the margin between playoff teams is razor thin
- 14:34Speaker 1: and when you have a turnover like that it completely
- 14:37Speaker 1: swings the game it's a it looked like he predetermined
- 14:44Speaker 1: where he was going with the ball, like pre-snap, or
- 14:46Speaker 1: he might've just not seen the linebacker, but that's now
- 14:50Speaker 1: three interceptions in the end zone this season for Drake May.
- 14:54Speaker 1: No other quarterback has even two interceptions in the reds
- 14:57Speaker 1: are in the end zone.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Yep.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Uh, Ben Johnson, he inherited Jared golf. Um, he did
- 15:03Speaker 3: a good job with Jared golf, but I'll remind you,
- 15:05Speaker 3: I think this is what I'm doing here. It's the
- 15:08Speaker 3: We assign all these traits to some of these coaches.
- 15:11Speaker 3: It's Kevin O'Connell, the quarterback whisperer, even though he hasn't
- 15:14Speaker 3: gotten a single decision right as the head coach of
- 15:17Speaker 3: the Vikings as it pertains to the quarterback spot, that
- 15:19Speaker 3: the coach makes the quarterback great, not.
- 15:22Speaker 4: The other way around.
- 15:23Speaker 3: I think that's my biggest argument. All right, coming up next,
- 15:27Speaker 3: we will do top five games headed into a big
- 15:29Speaker 3: NFL weekend, a so-so college football weekend. I'm not certain
- 15:33Speaker 3: any college football game will be in my top five,

- 16:51Speaker 3: We'll get to the top five games of the weekend
- 16:54Speaker 3: coming up. Mikey has college. Taylor has NFL. I'm not
- 16:57Speaker 3: certain if I have a top five games or not.
- 16:59Speaker 3: The college slate is not that impressive to me. Field
- 17:02Speaker 3: Yates will join us on God Bless Football and hopefully
- 17:05Speaker 3: settle our debate over Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Somebody has to.
- 17:10Speaker 4: I'm not certain.
- 17:10Speaker 3: I don't know how long we've been doing this. It's
- 17:12Speaker 3: been over a year now. I don't think we've ever
- 17:15Speaker 3: had an argument. And it took Caleb Williams and Ben
- 17:17Speaker 3: Johnson for us to argue for the first time, I think,
- 17:20Speaker 3: in show history.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Is that right, Taylor?
- 17:22Speaker 1: And what it felt like is we were all arguing
- 17:24Speaker 1: the same points, but nobody wanted to get off their point.
- 17:29Speaker 3: My point is Caleb Williams is more important to the
- 17:31Speaker 3: equation than Ben Johnson.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Okay, then we're not arguing the same thing because I
- 17:34Speaker 1: flat out disagree with that.
- 17:38Speaker 2: I'm definitely disagreeing.
- 17:39Speaker 4: All right, we agree to disagree? Is that fair? All right,
- 17:42Speaker 4: let's get to the top five games.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Move on.
- 17:50Speaker 3: You guys think either the Bears or Patriots are going
- 17:56Speaker 3: to win the Super Bowl?
- 17:56Speaker 4: Just out of curiosity.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I think the Bears are more likely to win the
- 17:59Speaker 1: Super Bowl than the Patriots.
- 18:00Speaker 2: The Bears have a better shot.
- 18:02Speaker 4: It's a bet. I said I'd move away from it.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 18:06Speaker 2: You didn't.
- 18:07Speaker 4: I know.
- 18:08Speaker 2: You said you were going to.
- 18:09Speaker 4: You didn't.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Yes.
- 18:09Speaker 4: Who are we starting with here?
- 18:14Speaker 1: Mikey with the NFL.
- 18:15Speaker 4: There you go. Taylor, I know you told me in
- 18:17Speaker 4: my headset, but I wasn't listening.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Sunday before Saturday.
- 18:20Speaker 4: Wow. All right. Your fifth best game of the week here, Mike.
- 18:25Speaker 2: My fifth best game of the week. San Francisco going
- 18:29Speaker 2: to Atlanta. Atlanta has shown flashes where they could really
- 18:35Speaker 2: be a team that can contend. San Francisco is undefeated.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Trip across the country. Let's see.
- 18:43Speaker 4: All right. Let's see.
- 18:44Speaker 3: We're going to find out together if they can make
- 18:46Speaker 3: that trip across the country and beat Atlanta at home. Taylor,
- 18:51Speaker 3: number five for you.
- 18:54Speaker 1: My number five college game of the week, LSU making
- 18:57Speaker 1: the trip to Auburn. I want to see what Auburn
- 19:00Speaker 1: does after their big upset win at Georgia. And then,
- 19:04Speaker 1: of course, this LSU team. They might not be the
- 19:07Speaker 1: best team. Before the season and after week one, we
- 19:11Speaker 1: were kind of crowning them as college football's champions already,
- 19:14Speaker 1: and that has definitely been some cold water thrown on it.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Yep.
- 19:19Speaker 3: I like LSU in this spot because it's one of
- 19:21Speaker 3: those spots for Lane Kiffin where he can say, hey,
- 19:23Speaker 3: I beat the team that Alabama didn't.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Yeah, but weird things happen at Jordan Harris Stadium.
- 19:27Speaker 4: I know.
- 19:28Speaker 2: I'm aware.
- 19:29Speaker 4: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Did it get moved to Provo?
- 19:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm a hair. Look at his face. He just
- 19:38Speaker 4: drank sour milk. Anyway, you were saying, Mike, sorry.
- 19:45Speaker 2: My number four game in the NFL. Ah, there it is.
- 19:49Speaker 4: So good.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Two teams that have surprised everyone to this point, but
- 19:54Speaker 2: for different reasons. The Rams are headed to the Raiders.
- 19:59Speaker 2: The Rams are two and four. The Raiders are three
- 20:02Speaker 2: and three. Somebody is going to be probably putting themselves
- 20:06Speaker 2: out of it this week, and I'm curious to see
- 20:08Speaker 2: which one it's going to be. Yep. We're not going
- 20:11Speaker 2: to get the Devontae Adams revenge game. We thought we
- 20:13Speaker 2: would because he's on the IR with a major hamstring injury,
- 20:18Speaker 2: I believe. But, yeah, let's see.
- 20:20Speaker 4: All right. We'll see. Let's see.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I like that as you're closing.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Let's see. What else are we going to do?
- 20:30Speaker 2: Let's watch.
- 20:31Speaker 4: Watch. Number four for Taylor, college game of the week.
- 20:36Speaker 1: My number four college game of the week, Syracuse going
- 20:42Speaker 1: on the road to North Carolina. Some people are saying
- 20:45Speaker 1: the North Carolina Tar Heels are the hottest team in
- 20:47Speaker 1: the country right now, 730 slate. Who's saying that? That's
- 20:51Speaker 1: a primetime slot.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Besides you, who is saying that? I'm with Mikey.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Listen, if Carolina wins this game, This is a look-ahead
- 21:00Speaker 1: spot because Carolina plays Miami next week on Halloween.
- 21:03Speaker 4: That's right.
- 21:04Speaker 1: But if Carolina can get through this game against Syracuse
- 21:06Speaker 1: and the Orange, maybe College Game Day makes that trip
- 21:09Speaker 1: to Chapel Hill.
- 21:10Speaker 3: I've been telling you that Syracuse stinks, by the way.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Carolina's going to be fine. But no one is saying that.
- 21:14Speaker 2: No one.
- 21:15Speaker 4: Belichick's not even thinking it.
- 21:17Speaker 1: That they're one of the hottest teams in the country?
- 21:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Georgia lost last week.
- 21:21Speaker 4: Yes. Yeah.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Texas lost last week.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Notre Dame lost last week. Miami didn't. But some teams won.
- 21:29Speaker 1: I didn't say they were the hottest team in the country.
- 21:31Speaker 1: I said they're one of the hottest teams in the country.
- 21:33Speaker 2: No, I thought they were saying it, not you.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Oh, yes, correct.
- 21:36Speaker 2: They are.
- 21:38Speaker 3: All right, Mikey, let's go back to the NFL here.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Sunday before Saturday. Back to the NFL.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Yes.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:45Speaker 2: The two bottom teams in the AFC North are facing off.
- 21:48Speaker 2: The four and two Ravens are headed to the three
- 21:52Speaker 2: and two Cincinnati Bengals.
- 21:53Speaker 4: What a game.
- 21:54Speaker 2: It's AFC North football. I mean, Joe Burrow versus it
- 21:58Speaker 2: sounds like Lamar Jackson is going to play at this point.
- 22:01Speaker 2: He did get some limited reps. I'm hoping for one
- 22:04Speaker 2: of those barn burner games, but let's see.
- 22:08Speaker 4: All right. Let's see. It's amazing.
- 22:14Speaker 3: The Ravens 4-2, the Bengals 3-2, and they're in third
- 22:18Speaker 3: and fourth place in their division.
- 22:19Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 22:21Speaker 3: I mean, in a division that has the Browns and
- 22:22Speaker 3: the Steelers.
- 22:23Speaker 4: Mike McCarthy and Deshaun Watson. What a weird division. Let's see.
- 22:29Speaker 4: Let's go back to college, back to Saturday.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Taylor, your third best college football game of the week,
- 22:34Speaker 3: and what a lousy slate we have when Carolina Syracuse.
- 22:36Speaker 4: Is number four.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Whoa.
- 22:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm just saying.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Disrespectful.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Right. To who?
- 22:41Speaker 1: Carolina, hottest team. One of the hottest teams in college football.
- 22:44Speaker 4: Some would say.
- 22:45Speaker 2: That's what they're saying.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Some would say, yes. My number three game of the
- 22:48Speaker 1: college football slate this weekend, Houston traveling to Utah. It's
- 22:53Speaker 1: the only top 15 matchup of the weekend.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Wow.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Huge Big 12 implications in this one. I'm not sure
- 22:59Speaker 1: either team, though, is good.
- 23:02Speaker 4: Fair.
- 23:05Speaker 2: See, I thought you were going to say that about
- 23:06Speaker 2: the last game.
- 23:07Speaker 1: No, I know Carolina's good. I know Syracuse is bad.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I know Carolina's good.
- 23:11Speaker 4: Hottest team in the country, yes.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I don't know if Houston or Utah are good, though.
- 23:15Speaker 3: Championship good. You know they're good, like perhaps playoff good.
- 23:18Speaker 3: You just don't know if they can win a championship.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Yeah, the Big 12 gets so muddy. The only team
- 23:23Speaker 1: I feel confident right now in the Big 12 is
- 23:25Speaker 1: BYU after that.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Okay.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I guess Texas Tech, too.
- 23:27Speaker 4: All right. Yeah, Tech's good.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:30Speaker 4: Tech is good. All right, let's go back to Sunday here. Sunday.
- 23:35Speaker 2: We just did the two bottom teams in the AFC North.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Let's watch the two bottom teams in the NFC North.
- 23:41Speaker 2: The Green Bay Packers head to the Detroit Lions. Packers
- 23:45Speaker 2: at four and two. Lions at three and two. Josh
- 23:48Speaker 2: Jacobs returns this week. Is that going to be the
- 23:51Speaker 2: difference in Mike LeFleur's offense now that they might have
- 23:55Speaker 2: somewhat of a running game? Let's see. Let's see.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Please finish every sentence like that for the remainder of time.
- 24:05Speaker 4: Plant it. Plant it.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Let's see.
- 24:10Speaker 3: Back to Saturday, please. Let's get to Taylor's. Third best,
- 24:14Speaker 3: where are we?
- 24:15Speaker 1: Number two.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Number two. Second best college football game of the week.
- 24:18Speaker 1: My second best college football game of the week. Indiana
- 24:23Speaker 1: traveling to Michigan, traveling to the big house. This is
- 24:26Speaker 1: a major road test for Indiana where– Michigan has a
- 24:32Speaker 1: big chance this week to derail Indiana's season and kind
- 24:35Speaker 1: of knock some of that shine off Kirk Cignetti. They
- 24:37Speaker 1: turned to Tommy Carr last week. They might have found something.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Some people are calling him Tommy Heisman in Ann Arbor.
- 24:44Speaker 4: No one is calling him Tommy Heisman in Ann Arbor.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Not a single person.
- 24:47Speaker 1: I think I saw Dave Portnoy calling him Tommy Heisman.
- 24:50Speaker 1: That was about it. I think Adam Schefter might have
- 24:55Speaker 1: said it too.
- 24:58Speaker 4: Also went to Michigan. All right, Mikey. Back to the NFL.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Your best game of the NFL weekend.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Easily the best game of the weekend. College, NFL, whatever.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Kansas City heading to the defending champions, the Seattle Seahawks.
- 25:17Speaker 2: It's getting late a little bit early for Seattle. They're 3-3. Obviously,
- 25:21Speaker 2: the Chiefs are undefeated at 5-0. As Taylor so aptly
- 25:25Speaker 2: pointed out the other day, this is the Kenneth Walker
- 25:27Speaker 2: revenge game or the we didn't really need you game
- 25:30Speaker 2: for Seattle. I don't know. Zach Charbonnet is supposed to
- 25:34Speaker 2: be back, but is Kansas City going to get his
- 25:37Speaker 2: first loss? Let's see.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Let's see.
- 25:42Speaker 3: If Kenneth Walker, if the Chiefs win, it is a
- 25:43Speaker 3: revenge game.
- 25:44Speaker 4: If the Seahawks win, it's we didn't need you.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Right?
- 25:47Speaker 4: I mean, that's a lot at stake. There really is.
- 25:52Speaker 2: The label. The label is at stake.
- 25:54Speaker 4: Yes, but as we like to see, as we like
- 25:56Speaker 4: to say, excuse me, let's see.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Let's see. Dumb.
- 26:04Speaker 4: Not you. Just sports radio.
- 26:06Speaker 2: No, that too. That too.
- 26:08Speaker 4: You're not dumb.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Let's go back to college for Taylor's best college football
- 26:12Speaker 3: game of the weekend.
- 26:14Speaker 1: The number one game of the weekend, Ole Miss at Texas.
- 26:19Speaker 4: Love it.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Two SEC programs.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Yes.
- 26:21Speaker 1: It feels like Texas' season has slid out of their control,
- 26:25Speaker 1: but if they beat Ole Miss and get a top
- 26:27Speaker 1: ten win here, all of a sudden that train's back
- 26:30Speaker 1: on track. Trinidad Chambliss, I think people are kind of
- 26:33Speaker 1: forgetting that Trinidad Chambliss is probably the best player in
- 26:37Speaker 1: college football, so anytime– He's taking the field. I'm going
- 26:40Speaker 1: to be watching that game. And this is a chance for–
- 26:43Speaker 1: I think this is a chance for Texas to change
- 26:45Speaker 1: the narrative around their season, but this is also Ole Miss'
- 26:49Speaker 1: chance to say, we're in the national title picture, everybody.
- 26:52Speaker 4: Yeah. Do you guys think Lane Kiffin has reached out
- 26:56Speaker 4: to Arch yet? Back-channeled, yeah. Oh, yeah.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Do you think Mississippi– Trinidad, he graduates after this year, right?
- 27:06Speaker 1: Yeah, but they have Deuce Knight. So Deuce Knight came
- 27:09Speaker 1: in from Auburn last year.
- 27:10Speaker 4: Right.
- 27:10Speaker 3: But if Eli walks into the AD's office and says,
- 27:14Speaker 3: you know, my nephew's available, go get him, don't you
- 27:16Speaker 3: think Mississippi would give that some consideration?
- 27:18Speaker 1: You think they'd say deuces to Deuce?
- 27:22Speaker 2: Deuces.
- 27:23Speaker 4: We will not find a better ending than that.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Let's see.
- 27:27Speaker 4: We did!
