- 1:08Speaker 2: Welcome to Patriots Unfiltered.

- 1:17Speaker 4: Good stuff just came out Baggy squash.
- 1:21Speaker 3: About four drinks. It was over one hundred.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Dollars for four drinks. Yeah, what was it? Holy smoke? Yeah,
- 1:27Speaker 4: you expence that, right.
- 1:28Speaker 3: We can't expense. I forgot my phone in the uber ochee,
- 1:34Speaker 3: so we had to call the uber driver and he
- 1:36Speaker 3: came back. I had to greased him. So it was
- 1:39Speaker 3: an expensive night for me.
- 1:41Speaker 5: For Freddy Plastic request for the newsletter.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Well you have to email, so I'm not gonna. I
- 1:47Speaker 3: don't take dictations, so.
- 1:49Speaker 6: For better or words, Bill had his tight twenty.
- 1:51Speaker 7: Six year old mom, twenty four year old mermaids.
- 1:57Speaker 8: You heard but you weekend as you say.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah, this is Patriots Unfiltered, presented by Toyota's official website.

- 2:12Speaker 3: All right, welcome to Patriots Unfiltered.
- 2:14Speaker 4: It is.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Wednesday here at Chilette Stadium, but it's really a Thursday.
- 2:21Speaker 3: But tomorrow's Thanksgiving, So in Patriots world, today is a Thursday,
- 2:26Speaker 3: but it's really a Wednesday. But it means that we
- 2:30Speaker 3: got picks today. So that's why Alex is here, So
- 2:33Speaker 3: we gotta hurry. Paul's here, Evan Andduce will be by
- 2:36Speaker 3: later when they get done with their locker room and
- 2:39Speaker 3: practice duties. So yeah, a lot going on.
- 2:42Speaker 4: There is a busy, busy couple of days. But you know,
- 2:45Speaker 4: it's good that you get a little chance to get
- 2:47Speaker 4: the holiday off.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I'll say it right now. Happy Thanksgiving to everybody, to
- 2:53Speaker 3: you and yours. Yeah, and I know, Alex you had
- 2:56Speaker 3: a special Thanksgiving poll that will be in the newsletter tomorrow.
- 3:00Speaker 9: Yeah, it'll be cute just waiting for Evan to you know,
- 3:03Speaker 9: answer the email.
- 3:05Speaker 4: That's very high maintenance. Yeah, yeah, who was the first
- 3:08Speaker 4: one to answer?
- 3:09Speaker 3: To the Millennial.
- 3:12Speaker 9: Paul like within minutes.
- 3:13Speaker 4: She sent it. Yeah, it's a busy week. People have
- 3:16Speaker 4: a lot of things to.
- 3:17Speaker 9: Do, and I appreciated that it is a busy week.
- 3:20Speaker 4: I also I normally would have already sent the picks,
- 3:23Speaker 4: but we had a request. Alex, I'm not sure if
- 3:25Speaker 4: you're aware of this. Someone would like to make note
- 3:29Speaker 4: of the Fred kursh lock of the week. So I'm
- 3:33Speaker 4: going to wait till we get the picks, and I'm
- 3:36Speaker 4: going to put a little asterisk fred Kurshed the lock
- 3:39Speaker 4: of the week if I have.
- 3:42Speaker 3: It's a feeling.
- 3:42Speaker 4: I don't want to force it week.
- 3:45Speaker 3: It's not a good feeling from what I don't know
- 3:48Speaker 3: the numbers.
- 3:48Speaker 4: I haven't sent it to you or jewels yet, which
- 3:51Speaker 4: I normally would have by now, but I'm just waiting
- 3:54Speaker 4: to see what Fred has.
- 3:55Speaker 3: We also need to talk about my top five hated list.
- 3:59Speaker 3: If we haven't gone over, there might.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Not be a bad place. No, we we keep teasing it,
- 4:05Speaker 4: but we haven't gotten to it.
- 4:06Speaker 3: It was good, so we should talk about that. I
- 4:09Speaker 3: don't remember what it is, so does anyone have the list?
- 4:13Speaker 9: You don't remember?
- 4:14Speaker 3: I know who's on it, but I remember the order
- 4:16Speaker 3: I remember.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Just say that the one team that no one really
- 4:19Speaker 4: ever brings up that I'm a little surprised about is
- 4:21Speaker 4: your number one most hated team, and that's Cincinnati R
- 4:24Speaker 4: right know. I think that's pretty clear if you listen
- 4:27Speaker 4: to Fred his disdain for the Bengals and the organ
- 4:29Speaker 4: and it wasn't always that way, and it wasn't always
- 4:31Speaker 4: that way, but they earned it, yep. And I in
- 4:34Speaker 4: this case, I love to love to argue with Fred,
- 4:36Speaker 4: as people know, I love to to bust you.
- 4:40Speaker 3: You want me to, But that wash should we do that?
- 4:43Speaker 3: Let's let's get into the news of the day.
- 4:44Speaker 9: Okay, Okay, I'm ready with it when you're ready.
- 4:47Speaker 3: So the news of the day.
- 4:48Speaker 4: So we heard from both Alex man Pelton to Marcus Covington.
- 4:52Speaker 4: I didn't think there was anything overly pressing from either one.
- 4:56Speaker 4: One item of interest to me was something that Evan
- 5:00Speaker 4: and I and Mike talked about yesterday about the blitzing
- 5:06Speaker 4: and the routes and whatnot. And you know, I had
- 5:10Speaker 4: asked Evan about that play with Tomorrio Douglas. It was
- 5:13Speaker 4: a play that he seemed to be open cutting toward
- 5:16Speaker 4: the middle looked like May thought he was gonna either
- 5:20Speaker 4: sit in a zone or maybe continue downfield or upfield
- 5:24Speaker 4: in this case. And I think Evan had talked to
- 5:30Speaker 4: some of the players and kind of so that they're
- 5:31Speaker 4: really not like sight adjustments and the hot routes and whatnot.
- 5:36Speaker 4: They're supposed to run their route as normal. Alex vnn
- 5:39Speaker 4: Pelt did not necessarily agree with that.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Oh what did he say?
- 5:43Speaker 4: He said that, you know, I think I think on
- 5:45Speaker 4: the particular play that they were asked about, he felt
- 5:48Speaker 4: like Douglas got a little bit antsy and and over
- 5:53Speaker 4: anxious and cut off the route before he was supposed
- 5:55Speaker 4: to went went to the inside a little bit further.
- 5:58Speaker 4: I think he was supposed to be like said, yeah,
- 6:02Speaker 4: could be yeah, yeah. I think it was supposed to
- 6:04Speaker 4: be like five steps, and he cut it off at
- 6:06Speaker 4: like three, and that's what caused the timing to be off.
- 6:08Speaker 4: And and Alex talked a lot about the importance of
- 6:11Speaker 4: you know, this is not street yard football. And this
- 6:13Speaker 4: was an unrelated answer. This wasn't in related relation to
- 6:16Speaker 4: that blitz, but just the precise nature of the offense,
- 6:21Speaker 4: the timing where you're supposed to be and when is
- 6:24Speaker 4: very import and they're not just out there running routes
- 6:27Speaker 4: and trying to get open. You need to be open
- 6:29Speaker 4: where you're supposed to go.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Make sure that Evan knows that his evaluation.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Was it wasn't. But in fairness to Evan and I would,
- 6:37Speaker 4: you know, as you guys know, I would trash Evan
- 6:39Speaker 4: is going off of something that he was told by players,
- 6:42Speaker 4: not something that he observed, and we will talk about that.
- 6:47Speaker 3: A little then later. Then the players don't know what
- 6:50Speaker 3: they're doing.
- 6:51Speaker 4: I've said this to you often, and this is one
- 6:54Speaker 4: of the problems with the way it's done. Now. By it,
- 6:58Speaker 4: I mean journalism in general. Yes, when someone tells you something,
- 7:02Speaker 4: it is always taking as gospel. Players will tell you
- 7:06Speaker 4: what makes the players look in the best possible light.
- 7:10Speaker 3: YEP.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Coaches will do the same. So I'm not telling you
- 7:14Speaker 4: that Alex is right and the player was wrong. I'm
- 7:17Speaker 4: just telling you you have two different schools of thought
- 7:19Speaker 4: on what you're supposed to do on the blitz or
- 7:22Speaker 4: in a hot route or whatever the coach may be.
- 7:25Speaker 4: My point is what I'm saying. Like my point, I'll
- 7:29Speaker 4: take it in a different direction so we can get
- 7:31Speaker 4: off the Patriots Okay, all right. Do you happen to
- 7:33Speaker 4: see the thing over the weekend with Ian Rappaport talking about,
- 7:37Speaker 4: oh he got used or something like that. I don't
- 7:40Speaker 4: know the Tillarkey did him dirty. You know, when he
- 7:43Speaker 4: was about to be fired for the Titans. Rappaport had
- 7:46Speaker 4: been reporting that that was after the loss. There was
- 7:49Speaker 4: a good chance that Tennessee was going to go in
- 7:51Speaker 4: a different direction, make the move. So Malarkey ended up
- 7:55Speaker 4: picking up the phone and calling Rappaport and saying, they're
- 7:58Speaker 4: going to offer me a five year contract extension. I'm
- 8:01Speaker 4: staying he Now, Malarkey did this because he was really
- 8:05Speaker 4: annoyed with the ownership of the Titans at the time
- 8:09Speaker 4: and he wanted to sort of he said, I want
- 8:11Speaker 4: to see their faces when they see this, and blah
- 8:13Speaker 4: blah blah blah blah. He did Rappaport dirty.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not good.
- 8:18Speaker 4: It's been portrayed like what a bad guy Malarkey is
- 8:22Speaker 4: and how Rappaport did. I agree, Malarkey did him a disservice. Yeah,
- 8:31Speaker 4: one person tells you something, you don't pick up the
- 8:33Speaker 4: phone and call the Titans.
- 8:34Speaker 3: But wait a minute, now, you're right you should at least,
- 8:37Speaker 3: But this is the principle. This is the person telling
- 8:41Speaker 3: you I understand. This isn't somebody telling you I heard.
- 8:43Speaker 3: This is the.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Person I understand.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Principle.
- 8:46Speaker 4: That's why I said Malarkey did him dirty. Yeah, but
- 8:50Speaker 4: I was taught when you get information, you verify it.
- 8:54Speaker 10: Yeah, evidently that's not a big thing, because, like, I
- 8:59Speaker 10: don't know how you just automatically assume whatever everybody tells
- 9:03Speaker 10: you was the gospel.
- 9:06Speaker 4: I understand it came from the horse's mouth. Right, So
- 9:08Speaker 4: you go to Tennessee and say, hey, so you guys
- 9:10Speaker 4: are gonna stick with him? What are you talking about?
- 9:13Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, well that's what that's what If he's done that,
- 9:16Speaker 3: that's the way it's supposed to be done. He would
- 9:18Speaker 3: have saved himself with VI.
- 9:19Speaker 4: I just don't think anybody really explored that side of
- 9:22Speaker 4: that story.
- 9:23Speaker 9: Right, Yeah, Okay, it's too comfortable interesting.
- 9:26Speaker 4: So, like in other words, even when you think you're
- 9:29Speaker 4: getting it right from the person involved, it might be
- 9:32Speaker 4: his version of what happens, and not necessarily the version
- 9:36Speaker 4: that happened.
- 9:37Speaker 9: I missed the days of besides being presented and readers
- 9:41Speaker 9: decide what it is with the information in front of them.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Lost Art apologized to him.
- 9:49Speaker 4: No, he was laughing about it on the podcast. That's
- 9:51Speaker 4: how this came out.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Wow.
- 9:53Speaker 4: Yeah, Like I have no like, no respect at all
- 9:55Speaker 4: for what Malarkey did. Don't please, don't mistake this. And
- 9:58Speaker 4: and I do feel bad as a journalist. I feel
- 10:00Speaker 4: bad for Ian because you're right when you get it direct.
- 10:03Speaker 4: You know, if Bill Belichick told me last year he
- 10:05Speaker 4: was staying, I would have said, Bill Belichick says he's staying.
- 10:09Speaker 9: And now credit his credibility is in question when I
- 10:13Speaker 9: mean a little bit.
- 10:14Speaker 4: It's so I do feel bad, you know, but he
- 10:16Speaker 4: should have done more than just taking it as the
- 10:20Speaker 4: gospel truth.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Very interesting anyway, Yeah, anyway, all.
- 10:24Speaker 4: Right, So not much from Covington. Talked a lot about communication,
- 10:29Speaker 4: which we talked about a lot yesterday on the secondary.
- 10:34Speaker 4: A lot of questions about Kyle Dugger being asked both
- 10:37Speaker 4: to Mayo and to Covington today about his ankle, and
- 10:41Speaker 4: they also they both said the same thing, you know,
- 10:43Speaker 4: and if you're out there and you're cleared to go,
- 10:46Speaker 4: you're expected to play and play at a high level.
- 10:49Speaker 4: And Covington didn't say that Dougger didn't play at a
- 10:52Speaker 4: high level, but just not using an ankle injury or
- 10:56Speaker 4: potential ankle injury as an excuse.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Well, was he on the.
- 10:59Speaker 4: Well, he had missed a couple of games, but he's
- 11:01Speaker 4: been back. He's been back the last two games.
- 11:03Speaker 3: No, but was he on the report?
- 11:06Speaker 4: I don't know the most recent report.
- 11:07Speaker 3: You get in trouble if he's hurt and he's not
- 11:08Speaker 3: on the report.
- 11:09Speaker 4: So yeah, but he played the last two games.
- 11:11Speaker 3: I get it. I get it.
- 11:13Speaker 4: So whether he's hurt or not, he played, I know,
- 11:16Speaker 4: is the point? Okay, Like Dietrich Wise is on the
- 11:20Speaker 4: injury report also, but he didn't play.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Yep.
- 11:23Speaker 4: So like obviously his ankle injury or whatever his injury
- 11:27Speaker 4: is isn't as severe right now as daughters.
- 11:31Speaker 9: Yeah, I feel like something's going on there.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Well, everybody to a person said that it was a
- 11:38Speaker 3: terrible game for Kyle Duggar.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Oh he didn't play, Well, yeah didn't. He's a better
- 11:42Speaker 4: player than that, Yeah, no question.
- 11:44Speaker 3: So we got to get him. We got to get
- 11:47Speaker 3: him right, we need him. Pepper started practicing. Doubt he'll play.
- 11:54Speaker 4: This week, So I honestly have no clue. Yeah, I
- 11:59Speaker 4: don't know what to think of that I don't either. Oh,
- 12:02Speaker 4: they did make a roster move, yeah, they like we
- 12:05Speaker 4: probably should have talked about that. They let go of
- 12:07Speaker 4: a starting left guard in Michael Jordan, which I find
- 12:10Speaker 4: a little odd. Now might get they claim somebody off
- 12:13Speaker 4: Waivers Cotton. Say his name Cotton?
- 12:18Speaker 3: Yeap Ben Cotton.
- 12:19Speaker 4: No, that doesn't sound right, Dan Cotton.
- 12:24Speaker 9: It's definitely cotton.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Something was it was like three, I don't know, let's see.
- 12:29Speaker 4: I think I have it somewhere. I guess I know
- 12:34Speaker 4: it was lester less cotton less cotton, less.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Cotton, more wool.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Right, Okay, so I I they did this. This is,
- 12:44Speaker 4: in my opinion, the third time they've made a similar
- 12:46Speaker 4: kind of transaction this season. They did it with Nick Leverett,
- 12:51Speaker 4: who had started and played like every game, every snap,
- 12:55Speaker 4: didn't play well, did not play well, and then he
- 12:57Speaker 4: got cut like the following day. More recently, Marco Wilson
- 13:03Speaker 4: played a big role in the Rams game and then
- 13:07Speaker 4: was cut, you know, the following day or whatever. And
- 13:10Speaker 4: now the same thing happens with Michael Jordan. I made
- 13:14Speaker 4: a comment yesterday that I stand by. I don't think
- 13:16Speaker 4: Michael Jordan's played well, but I think he's probably been
- 13:19Speaker 4: their second best lineman behind a win.
- 13:22Speaker 3: I have no idea, but.
- 13:24Speaker 4: He struck. I mean, and I think that those guys,
- 13:27Speaker 4: the interior guys in particular, Brett Ben Brown and Michael Jordan,
- 13:31Speaker 4: really seem to struggle with those games up front, those stunts,
- 13:35Speaker 4: yep twists, and Alex van Pel talked about those a
- 13:39Speaker 4: lot today as well. So my guess is this is
- 13:43Speaker 4: to pave the way for Cole Strange to get back
- 13:45Speaker 4: on the active roster. We'll see what happens as this
- 13:48Speaker 4: week unfolds, but I think that's good news if that's
- 13:52Speaker 4: what it is, because obviously you want to see Strange play.
- 13:54Speaker 4: He's a former first round pick and you have more
- 13:57Speaker 4: invested in him than Michael Jordan. But I did find
- 13:59Speaker 4: it a little interesting that guys that are playing significant
- 14:03Speaker 4: roles are going from playing a significant role in one
- 14:05Speaker 4: gaming being released immediately. That's the third time that's happened.
- 14:08Speaker 9: That is really weird, and that's why it makes you like,
- 14:10Speaker 9: to your point, you hope that it is cold strange
- 14:13Speaker 9: coming because I know it's not going well right now,
- 14:16Speaker 9: but to blow it up all over again, put another
- 14:19Speaker 9: cast of guys in there with no real experience together,
- 14:23Speaker 9: like the continuit. We haven't had any continue all season
- 14:26Speaker 9: with the line, so it's like, hopefully it's a guy
- 14:29Speaker 9: that like Cole getting better, getting plugged in to at
- 14:33Speaker 9: least build some rapport there.
- 14:35Speaker 3: There is no best five.
- 14:36Speaker 4: They don't know, Yeah, and I do think the best
- 14:39Speaker 4: case would be what Alex said though, is have Cole
- 14:42Speaker 4: Strange play, so at least you have five games for
- 14:44Speaker 4: him to sort of Okay, what do we have here?
- 14:46Speaker 4: You know we'll be through three years. They have to
- 14:49Speaker 4: make a decision on him, you know, coming up in
- 14:52Speaker 4: the next offseason about his fifty year option. I would
- 14:54Speaker 4: think that would be a long shot. But what exactly
- 14:57Speaker 4: do we have in Cole Strange? And I know five
- 14:59Speaker 4: games after such a long absence is going to be
- 15:01Speaker 4: hard to make that determination. But it's better than no games, yep,
- 15:06Speaker 4: So that's my guess. You know, they haven't made a
- 15:08Speaker 4: corresponding move, but they released Michael Jordan, they claimed a
- 15:11Speaker 4: guard off Waivers Less Cotton. We'll see if this has
- 15:15Speaker 4: anything to do with Cole Strange.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Eventually, who's teams that the Ravens again? What team did
- 15:22Speaker 3: they claim him from when they When I heard the Miami, Miami, Right, Miami,
- 15:28Speaker 3: it was right. I knew. It's like, oh, they claimed
- 15:33Speaker 3: the team that the player from a team that from
- 15:36Speaker 3: the AFC. Okay, so we'll see what happens.
- 15:41Speaker 4: So they're still tinkering, they're still looking for you know,
- 15:43Speaker 4: and it's not surprising to me that they're bringing in
- 15:45Speaker 4: so many young offensive linemen. Just maybe they find a
- 15:49Speaker 4: diamond in the rough. You know, maybe there's some some
- 15:52Speaker 4: you know, former fourth, fifth, sixth round pick you're running
- 15:55Speaker 4: out of had a chance, but you know, just someone
- 15:57Speaker 4: because they need a lot of linemen. Yeah, they need
- 16:00Speaker 4: a lot of linemen, not just the starters. They need
- 16:02Speaker 4: a lot of them.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Let's see Eric and fort mean Maryland. A couple of things.
- 16:08Speaker 3: He says. First, I love the pick segment. In fact,
- 16:11Speaker 3: make the whole Thursday show a two hour pick segment.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Fred would absolutely shine.
- 16:15Speaker 3: And he wants to talk about the O line. So
- 16:17Speaker 3: I figured I'd read this email. Uh, if Ben Brown
- 16:20Speaker 3: goes down, who's taking the snaps for the rest.
- 16:22Speaker 4: Of the game, See my guest right now would be
- 16:25Speaker 4: cold strange. But they have to get him activated too.
- 16:28Speaker 4: That's a good question. I don't know which ones of
- 16:33Speaker 4: those guys. You know, I think one of them and
- 16:36Speaker 4: Alex she might help me with the name is Latitis Lativity,
- 16:41Speaker 4: Lativius Smith or something like that. I think he's got center.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Marcus Jones textedt a VP said he could snap.
- 16:49Speaker 4: I think one of the offensive linemen that they signed
- 16:55Speaker 4: during the course of the season, I think has experienced
- 16:57Speaker 4: at center, and I think it's it's that.
- 17:00Speaker 3: A second question. I keep hearing that a lot of
- 17:02Speaker 3: the false start penalties are on the h What exactly
- 17:07Speaker 3: can Peter's a VP and Mayo do during the week
- 17:09Speaker 3: to solve this. I've never watched a practice, so is
- 17:11Speaker 3: there some kind of drill they do or should do
- 17:14Speaker 3: that would improve the old lines awareness of the snap count.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Yeah. I don't think it's as much on the coaches
- 17:21Speaker 4: as the players, But I do think at some point,
- 17:24Speaker 4: when mistakes and problems become repetitious, something needs to be done.
- 17:30Speaker 4: I think in terms of playing time, in terms of
- 17:33Speaker 4: you know, in practice, we saw for twenty plus years
- 17:36Speaker 4: every time a guy had a false start, he was
- 17:38Speaker 4: sent for a lap that didn't. That was not the
- 17:40Speaker 4: case this summer. Sometimes they ran, sometimes they didn't. So
- 17:45Speaker 4: I do think that there's some accountability. But I don't
- 17:47Speaker 4: put that on the coaches. I don't put false starts.
- 17:50Speaker 4: I mean pre snap penalties. You need to be able
- 17:52Speaker 4: to stay on side.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Well, the question is is this thing happening in practice?
- 17:56Speaker 4: Well, they said, Alex said today it did, and it
- 17:58Speaker 4: happened a lot in practice this week. Yeah, Alex van.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Pelt, Oh, Alex, Yeah, I don't know. So Alex, what
- 18:10Speaker 3: did you say you meant you meant last week?
- 18:12Speaker 4: Last week before the Miami game, I felt like they
- 18:14Speaker 4: had happened. Yeah, okay, he said he felt like the
- 18:17Speaker 4: offense took, you know, a significant step back. He goes,
- 18:20Speaker 4: he felt like they had been building. Now we took
- 18:22Speaker 4: a step back. We need to get back to the building.
- 18:25Speaker 9: Everyone's like upset that, like, oh, in Bill's regime, he'd
- 18:29Speaker 9: be benched, But it's like, who do you bench him for?
- 18:32Speaker 9: Even back then at the beginning of the season. Never mind.
- 18:35Speaker 4: Now, See, for me, it's really not about the option
- 18:39Speaker 4: as much as it is you got to make a stand.
- 18:44Speaker 4: I need to have someone play who doesn't think, well,
- 18:48Speaker 4: he can't bench me because he has no one behind me.
- 18:50Speaker 4: You understand what I'm saying. Yeah, but I gotta put
- 18:52Speaker 4: a lesser player in now, I didn't always agree with Bill.
- 18:57Speaker 4: I'm going to be in full disclosure here when Bill
- 19:01Speaker 4: did it to ramondre Stevens and it drove me insane.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Right, you were upset about that as a rookie.
- 19:05Speaker 4: I felt like he cost the team games. I think
- 19:07Speaker 4: Bill's premise was I'm okay with losing games because in
- 19:10Speaker 4: the long run, I'm going to be better off for it.
- 19:12Speaker 4: I think that's how Bill felt about it. I disagreed
- 19:15Speaker 4: with it at the time. I think that they might
- 19:16Speaker 4: have been in a better spot had Ramondre Stevenson played
- 19:19Speaker 4: a bigger role early in the twenty one season when
- 19:23Speaker 4: he was sort of banished for the first month. Have
- 19:25Speaker 4: the frumbling in the opener, yeap, So I get both sides.
- 19:29Speaker 4: I understand what you're saying. Who do you go to?
- 19:31Speaker 9: That's a great question, al, But now you have like
- 19:34Speaker 9: it's a lot different when the protection is of a
- 19:37Speaker 9: rookie quarterback who, I mean, how much do we have
- 19:40Speaker 9: invested in.
- 19:41Speaker 4: Organization is protection? That would be my You know, you're
- 19:45Speaker 4: not taken and.
- 19:46Speaker 9: That's why I think you're look at different look at
- 19:48Speaker 9: it differently. It's no longer one guy within it like
- 19:53Speaker 9: we haven't had great old lines all through Bill's tenure.
- 19:56Speaker 9: But I don't think it was ever this bad, right,
- 19:58Speaker 9: Like this is kind of together with like rubber bands
- 20:01Speaker 9: and buttons, right, A.
- 20:02Speaker 4: Lot of different combinations, a lot of injuries. I know
- 20:05Speaker 4: we can't change.
- 20:06Speaker 3: I know we can't say anything about Drake, but could
- 20:09Speaker 3: there be something about his cadence that isn't consistent?
- 20:13Speaker 4: Well, the false stars were probably pre set too, though. Okay,
- 20:17Speaker 4: you know, like that was all summer and that was
- 20:20Speaker 4: mostly sett all right.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Finally, to all the knuckleheads I see in social media
- 20:24Speaker 3: saying discipline wouldn't be an issue if they hired Vrabel,
- 20:28Speaker 3: know that Tennessee finished fifth and sixth and penalties per
- 20:30Speaker 3: game over the last two years. Uh ps, Who cares
- 20:34Speaker 3: if it's called dressing or stuffing. Just pour some gravy
- 20:37Speaker 3: on and shower down.
- 20:38Speaker 4: So is that a Is that a thing?
- 20:39Speaker 3: Yeah? I didn't know that same thing.
- 20:41Speaker 9: I think they're two very different things.
- 20:43Speaker 4: Yeah, it's one. Is something I put on my salad.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Yeah, right, right, But I've heard some people call stuffing dressing.
- 20:51Speaker 9: I have Okay, all right, I'd like to see what
- 20:53Speaker 9: they're stuffing cooked inside the turkey.
- 20:55Speaker 4: The other one's not.
- 20:55Speaker 5: That's the difference.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Okay, good dressing.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Is stuffing that's cooked inside the turkey.
- 21:00Speaker 4: How long you been here? Six?
- 21:01Speaker 3: Ye? Right? But got the Google machine next to me.
- 21:03Speaker 3: To me, they're both stuffed.
- 21:04Speaker 4: First contribution.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Nice, good job, especially if it's cooked in the turkey.
- 21:09Speaker 4: If it's cooked in the turkey, it's stuffing. No, it's
- 21:11Speaker 4: if it's it's dressing. It's dressing.
- 21:13Speaker 1: I know, But but doesn't it make it makes more
- 21:15Speaker 1: sense because you're stuffing it in, right, And I would
- 21:18Speaker 1: like to say, Paul, that would be my first accurate contribution.
- 21:23Speaker 3: So anyway, I kid because I love I'm sure that
- 21:27Speaker 3: on a lot of your shows there's a lot of
- 21:30Speaker 3: you know, Thanksgiving debate about whether you know ham versus
- 21:33Speaker 3: turkey versus anything else, and all that stuff is there.
- 21:38Speaker 3: I don't know that's what usually the holiday fill in
- 21:42Speaker 3: host do they.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Talk about that a shot?
- 21:45Speaker 3: They talk about Okay, name your favorite Thanksgiving movies, you know,
- 21:50Speaker 3: dressing verse stuff in.
- 21:51Speaker 6: I could your favorite costume.
- 21:53Speaker 4: I could get on the movie thing. I don't really
- 21:55Speaker 4: care about the food like turkey.
- 21:56Speaker 3: Fo Yeah, I'm not a big I'm not a big
- 21:59Speaker 3: Thanksgiving food person.
- 22:00Speaker 9: Now, yeah, that's what Evan was saying all morning. He
- 22:03Speaker 9: was never a Thanksgiving food person. But then he started
- 22:07Speaker 9: eating Thanksgiving food that wasn't made by his family and
- 22:09Speaker 9: he was like, oh wait, this actually is different thing.
- 22:12Speaker 9: Maybe my family just can't.
- 22:14Speaker 4: Family must have gone to an Italian's house.
- 22:18Speaker 9: I think Evan cooks. Well, we'll save that for Evan
- 22:22Speaker 9: to come back. Evan told me he has a lot
- 22:25Speaker 9: of experience making the turkey, really, which it's baffling to
- 22:29Speaker 9: me that he would be put in charge of something
- 22:30Speaker 9: like that.
- 22:31Speaker 3: But does love limitations go to a Jersey Mike Sam.
- 22:35Speaker 4: I mean, I didn't need any time to answer that
- 22:37Speaker 4: question from you, Alex and Thanksgiving survey. You do not
- 22:40Speaker 4: want me involved in anything.
- 22:42Speaker 3: All right? Got a hurry, and I know we have
- 22:46Speaker 3: listeners that are calling in, so let's get to some
- 22:48Speaker 3: of the phone calls on the TPX hotline. Patty's an Agaam,
- 22:53Speaker 3: what's up Patty?
- 22:54Speaker 4: Patty?
- 22:55Speaker 5: Hey, good afternoon, Then happy Thanksgiving? Tall you guys and
- 22:58Speaker 5: all your family.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Sure, thank you, of course, I just thought, of course.
- 23:03Speaker 8: Thank you very much.
- 23:04Speaker 5: I had a quick question about the Marcus Covington. Now
- 23:07Speaker 5: we've heard players in the past, talk about how Belichick
- 23:11Speaker 5: made the defensive scheme easy for them to like understand
- 23:14Speaker 5: and and and you know, practically do it on the field.
- 23:21Speaker 5: Do you think in some way the Marcus Covington is like,
- 23:24Speaker 5: is the sense of scheme is a little bit too
- 23:26Speaker 5: confusing or convoluted. And I'll take it up there because
- 23:29Speaker 5: I know you guys got to hurry and happy.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Thanks in Again, I have no idea about that.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't think that they're doing things that are
- 23:36Speaker 4: markedly different than they've done in the past. I think
- 23:40Speaker 4: there is there has been some carryover on that side
- 23:42Speaker 4: of the ball with Covington, with Mayo, with Mike Pelligreen.
- 23:48Speaker 3: We're a game plan team.
- 23:50Speaker 4: So this is what I want to get at. Okay, Okay,
- 23:53Speaker 4: I know that they want to be a game plan team,
- 23:55Speaker 4: and I know that's what they've been for twenty six years.
- 23:59Speaker 4: I think maybe some of the problems of the last
- 24:01Speaker 4: three or four years and why is when your talent
- 24:04Speaker 4: isn't at a certain level, it's hard to just change
- 24:07Speaker 4: everything dramatically from week to week, right, You can't. You know,
- 24:10Speaker 4: Bill used to say, you know, we can't even get
- 24:13Speaker 4: the quarterback to center exchange, like they can't do basic yet. Yeah,
- 24:17Speaker 4: so asking them to do a different thing from one
- 24:20Speaker 4: week to the next is probably a bigger challenge than
- 24:23Speaker 4: it was, say ten years ago, with the amount of
- 24:26Speaker 4: talent that was here. So I do think that might
- 24:28Speaker 4: have something to do with it.
- 24:29Speaker 3: It's talent plus versatility.
- 24:31Speaker 4: Communication issues, Like you get some guys out there that
- 24:36Speaker 4: haven't been out there a ton. You know, there's missteps
- 24:39Speaker 4: and missed assignments and whatnot.
- 24:41Speaker 9: And then you have players that are pretty good for
- 24:43Speaker 9: you in their roles that are now asked to take
- 24:45Speaker 9: on new roles due to injuries due to missing players.
- 24:48Speaker 9: So it's like it's just a microcosm of all these
- 24:50Speaker 9: things trickling down to So I.
- 24:52Speaker 4: Don't necessarily think it's overly complicated, but I do think
- 24:55Speaker 4: they might be asked to do too much.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Yeah. Uh, Kendall in North Carolina? What's up, Kendall? Good?
- 25:06Speaker 11: Good?
- 25:07Speaker 8: This question?
- 25:07Speaker 12: Is you know this both?
- 25:08Speaker 8: Yah.
- 25:09Speaker 12: I'm seeing like a few people, a lot of people
- 25:11Speaker 12: like kind of man, your games some days to have
- 25:16Speaker 12: like and I think it's winnable. But I see a
- 25:18Speaker 12: lot of people like I think they're taking it to
- 25:20Speaker 12: your life. I actually think they have a good enough roster.
- 25:23Speaker 12: I think they're underrated thing. I think a lot of
- 25:26Speaker 12: people are just from there, like this is a game
- 25:28Speaker 12: that you shooting win for the patron and web Matt.
- 25:32Speaker 12: If you look at last year, I know it was
- 25:35Speaker 12: Lancet or whatnot, but they be going to Michigan. They
- 25:38Speaker 12: got they got a pretty good defensive line and we
- 25:40Speaker 12: got just we got pretty much the same offensive line
- 25:44Speaker 12: from last year. We got a few new pieces, but
- 25:46Speaker 12: not the same quiets balance. So my person for Paul,
- 25:49Speaker 12: like what you think about you think this coast seemed
- 25:52Speaker 12: to trying to underrated and I think it out may
- 25:53Speaker 12: I appreciate it?
- 25:54Speaker 3: Okay, thanks.
- 25:56Speaker 4: I think the Colts have some interesting pieces to work with.
- 26:00Speaker 4: I love their interior front on the defense with the
- 26:03Speaker 4: Forest Buckner and Grover Stewart. I talked about them a
- 26:05Speaker 4: little bit yesterday. I like their their trio of receivers
- 26:09Speaker 4: with Josh Downs, Michael Pittman, and Ali Pearce. I think
- 26:12Speaker 4: Tho's are three pretty good players. I think they might
- 26:15Speaker 4: be missing sort of that really alpha dog. I think
- 26:18Speaker 4: they have three good guys. I don't think they have
- 26:20Speaker 4: anybody that's great when healthy. The offensive line is good,
- 26:24Speaker 4: it hasn't been healthy. I think they might be starting
- 26:25Speaker 4: three rookies on Sunday on the offensive line, depending on
- 26:30Speaker 4: some of the injuries that they have. And I think
- 26:33Speaker 4: they have some pieces. I don't think the secondary is
- 26:36Speaker 4: very good, but they have some pieces on defense in
- 26:38Speaker 4: addition to those. You know, Zaire Franklin's a good, good,
- 26:42Speaker 4: solid inside linebacker, been doing it pretty well for a
- 26:45Speaker 4: few years now. I think that it's a good team.
- 26:48Speaker 4: It's you know, it's to me, it's like an eight
- 26:52Speaker 4: to nine, nine and eight kind of team should be
- 26:54Speaker 4: islent wise, No, because they don't have a quarterback. It's
- 26:58Speaker 4: my long way of saying, like last year, like when
- 27:02Speaker 4: Richardson got hurt, they put a veteran backup in Minshew,
- 27:05Speaker 4: who I think stinks, but he's a veteran and they
- 27:07Speaker 4: were able to squeak out nine wins. Richardson would not
- 27:11Speaker 4: have gone nine to eight in my opinion, when Flacco
- 27:14Speaker 4: was playing this year, I think they had a better
- 27:16Speaker 4: chance to.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Win I have if they had a better quarterback. I
- 27:19Speaker 3: think they would have a talent they have, would they
- 27:21Speaker 3: be they would.
- 27:21Speaker 4: They would win ten or eleven games.
- 27:23Speaker 3: If they had a good quarterback. I think I think
- 27:24Speaker 3: they've J.
- 27:25Speaker 4: Stroud was on the Colts, they'd win ten or eleven games,
- 27:28Speaker 4: and C. J. Stroud is having kind of a sophomore slump.
- 27:31Speaker 3: A little bit.
- 27:33Speaker 4: Yep, I think. I think. I think what Kendall's point
- 27:37Speaker 4: was is why are people assuming this is a win?
- 27:40Speaker 3: Who's doing that?
- 27:41Speaker 4: I think a lot of people listen around here, oh
- 27:44Speaker 4: the straw man or real piece, not the straw man.
- 27:47Speaker 3: But I haven't heard anybody say that they're going to
- 27:50Speaker 3: win this game. I've heard people say they've got shot.
- 27:54Speaker 9: I've heard say it's the last one they have a
- 27:56Speaker 9: shot at winning, but.
- 27:57Speaker 4: Not I've heard they're going to win, and I've heard
- 27:59Speaker 4: this is the last one they're going to win.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Is this on your shows?
- 28:02Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 28:02Speaker 3: Really?
- 28:03Speaker 4: Callers, emailers, you know I optimistic that Yeah. I think
- 28:08Speaker 4: that Indy is probably more talented on the roster on paper,
- 28:13Speaker 4: but you can't just ignore the fact that their quarterback
- 28:15Speaker 4: is still figuring it out. I think Drake may is
- 28:18Speaker 4: already more advanced than Anthony and he should be. He
- 28:20Speaker 4: played more, you know, he's he's more advanced than Anthony Richardson.
- 28:27Speaker 4: Anthony Richardson played one year of college and didn't play
- 28:29Speaker 4: very well, right, Like he was overdrafted.
- 28:31Speaker 3: So in this game, I think the key for the
- 28:33Speaker 3: Patriots is just don't let up the big play because
- 28:37Speaker 3: he's not accurate, but he'll get those explosive plays. So
- 28:42Speaker 3: if you if you minimize that and you take care
- 28:44Speaker 3: of Taylor.
- 28:45Speaker 4: Yeah, to me, it's Taylor. He stopped the run and
- 28:47Speaker 4: the should be able to.
- 28:48Speaker 3: You have a shot at keeping the score down. Yeah,
- 28:52Speaker 3: but now you've got a score.
- 28:53Speaker 9: Yeah, like a quarterback like that, you need to take
- 28:56Speaker 9: advantage of him being kind of a liability and that
- 28:59Speaker 9: you really need to see the defense step up in
- 29:01Speaker 9: a game like this. They need more turnovers, they need
- 29:03Speaker 9: to they need to come away with those extra possessions.
- 29:06Speaker 3: Yeah, so just.
- 29:08Speaker 4: Like looking real quick. You know, like when when Richardson played,
- 29:10Speaker 4: you know, they lose the first game twenty nine to
- 29:12Speaker 4: twenty seven. You know, they beat the Bears twenty one, sixteen,
- 29:17Speaker 4: they beat the Steelers twenty seven to twenty four. You know,
- 29:21Speaker 4: then Richardson got hurt, so in that Pittsburgh game, you
- 29:25Speaker 4: got hurt. So he comes out, but they put thirty
- 29:27Speaker 4: four on the board. The next week they lost, you know,
- 29:29Speaker 4: so this is not a great defense. But you know,
- 29:32Speaker 4: for the most part, they're putting points on the board.
- 29:34Speaker 4: With the exception of that Vikings game that Flacco play,
- 29:36Speaker 4: they didn't move the ball at all. But you know,
- 29:39Speaker 4: twenty three, twenty thirty to twenty twenty eight, twenty seven win,
- 29:42Speaker 4: and then last week they get held to six. So
- 29:46Speaker 4: I think this is a game that you if you
- 29:49Speaker 4: can keep them around twenty, you should have a chance
- 29:52Speaker 4: to win. There's no way that Colt should be shutting
- 29:55Speaker 4: you out for three quarters. Yeah, you know, like they
- 29:58Speaker 4: like they happened last week.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Travis and West Virginia says, just a quick Thanksgiving thought.
- 30:03Speaker 3: If you don't like stuffing, maybe you've just never had
- 30:06Speaker 3: good stuffing. I feel this way about a lot of
- 30:08Speaker 3: foods that people say they don't like.
- 30:10Speaker 4: Stuffing's okay, I love it. Stuffing, I love it. I
- 30:13Speaker 4: like stuffing.
- 30:14Speaker 3: No sauage, it's turkey, I don't want to Yeah, stuffing
- 30:17Speaker 3: with gravy. Yeah, and it's good stuff.
- 30:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:21Speaker 9: I agree, you've never liked turkey.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Turkey's just dry, dry, with no taste.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Turkey's like chicken.
- 30:28Speaker 9: I think that says more.
- 30:29Speaker 4: It's way better. Turkey's way better than chickens. I mean,
- 30:34Speaker 4: chickens way better than turkey. Okay, yeah, I like, like,
- 30:38Speaker 4: it's it's just not there's not there's no there there.
- 30:41Speaker 9: Mm hmm.
- 30:43Speaker 4: You could disagree, let's go.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Yeah I do.
- 30:45Speaker 9: I don't know, but my mom's an extra, so I realized,
- 30:48Speaker 9: I'm very it's hot, very.
- 30:50Speaker 4: It's hot arguing against me, he won one in a row.
- 30:52Speaker 4: Do you want a chance?
- 30:54Speaker 9: I want to bring you in my mom's turkey or
- 30:57Speaker 9: my mom's plate in general.
- 30:58Speaker 4: So let me ask you something. When you have, like,
- 31:01Speaker 4: let's just say you're carving up the turkey, you take
- 31:03Speaker 4: a few pieces, what do you do with it? What
- 31:06Speaker 4: do you mean before you eat it? Do you have
- 31:10Speaker 4: like with some gravy and you put it all there? Yeah,
- 31:16Speaker 4: it's not the turkey you like, it's all the other
- 31:18Speaker 4: stuff that goes with.
- 31:19Speaker 9: You know, it's it's it's compliments turkey. But I'm not
- 31:23Speaker 9: a person that needs to douse the turkey and gravy
- 31:26Speaker 9: to get it down my throat. Like I don't know,
- 31:29Speaker 9: you have. My mom will make the marinade that the turkey,
- 31:32Speaker 9: like the juices that the turkey's cooked in that you
- 31:34Speaker 9: pour over afterwards. But I think you do that with
- 31:36Speaker 9: any meat. No, you don't cook up a steak with
- 31:41Speaker 9: like butter and like baste it the steak in the seer.
- 31:46Speaker 4: It depends what I'm doing, Okay, Yeah, but like I'm
- 31:49Speaker 4: just getting like a film or bony.
- 31:52Speaker 9: Like a chicken a chicken dish.
- 31:55Speaker 3: You're not like I think I put chicken up there
- 31:58Speaker 3: with turkey in that it does you need to do
- 32:00Speaker 3: stuff with it.
- 32:01Speaker 4: Chicken has a lot more moisture, depends.
- 32:03Speaker 9: It all depends on how you're cooking it.
- 32:06Speaker 3: There's to this.
- 32:08Speaker 9: Yeah, but if if you have like a really good
- 32:10Speaker 9: basted over at night, and if like it's all it
- 32:13Speaker 9: all comes down to the marinad for me, you can't
- 32:15Speaker 9: just throw something in the oven and expect it to
- 32:17Speaker 9: come out good.
- 32:17Speaker 4: So okay, so we're on the same page. It's not
- 32:19Speaker 4: the turkey, it's.
- 32:20Speaker 3: The marinadrit right.
- 32:22Speaker 4: I would probably enjoy your mom's turkey.
- 32:24Speaker 9: Yeah, you have to do something with cath if you're listening,
- 32:27Speaker 9: make some more turkeys.
- 32:28Speaker 4: So the only turkey that I can eat is like
- 32:32Speaker 4: leftovers the next day, you know, little uh little sandwiches
- 32:36Speaker 4: lovely too. Maybe you put a little stuffing on the
- 32:38Speaker 4: top with Some.
- 32:39Speaker 3: People are gonna like choke when I tell them this.
- 32:42Speaker 3: But like for leftover turkey, sometimes I just put a
- 32:45Speaker 3: little mayonnaise in a plate and I dip it. I
- 32:48Speaker 3: dipped the turkey in it.
- 32:49Speaker 4: That's the sandwich. Little stuff to.
- 32:52Speaker 9: Do it like chicken fingers with Well, you're just watching
- 32:54Speaker 9: your carbs.
- 32:55Speaker 4: Because you don't want the turkey, right.
- 32:58Speaker 9: The skinny girl version, you dip it in mayo?
- 33:00Speaker 4: Yeah, very tony soprano. Well, I'll bet we're not alone, fred.
- 33:07Speaker 3: I haven't announced it. You're not alone for the Patriots Nation.
- 33:10Speaker 3: The most nail biting action film of the season, carry On?
- 33:14Speaker 3: Have you heard about this? Movie? Starring Taran Edgerton, Sophia Carson,
- 33:19Speaker 3: and Jason Bateman. Touches down on Netflix on December thirteenth,
- 33:23Speaker 3: just in time for the holidays. Only liquids allowed, Alex Blood,
- 33:28Speaker 3: Sweat and tears. Catch carry on December thirteenth, only on Netflix.
- 33:34Speaker 3: And if you're coming to the game on Sunday, you
- 33:37Speaker 3: can score an exclusive, exclusive stadium compliant Game Day carry
- 33:42Speaker 3: on bag and you can experience a larger than life
- 33:45Speaker 3: photo installation that'll be at the stadium this Sunday. But
- 33:51Speaker 3: carry on. Speaking of carrying, on Mike is back from
- 33:57Speaker 3: the locker.
- 33:58Speaker 9: Rock from the locker room?
- 33:59Speaker 3: What was the mood where the player's friendly to that
- 34:02Speaker 3: none of them look like Devin Henry Hay, Mike, what
- 34:06Speaker 3: was it like in the locker room? Halke? What was
- 34:11Speaker 3: it like?
- 34:15Speaker 9: Paul really got into that one.
- 34:16Speaker 3: So Mike, what was music? It was good?
- 34:19Speaker 7: It was good today. I think I had some interesting
- 34:23Speaker 7: insight today. Maybe maybe it's more like speculation. I okay,
- 34:27Speaker 7: but we hear from Michael WHENU and I'm sure you
- 34:29Speaker 7: guys probably discussed Michael Jordan getting released already and.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Michael Strangely, we actually did.
- 34:37Speaker 7: Michael when you was asked a little bit about cold
- 34:38Speaker 7: Strange and uh and kind of a prompt and when
- 34:42Speaker 7: you kept talking about him snapping the ball and really
- 34:44Speaker 7: referring to him as like working at center, and so
- 34:47Speaker 7: it started some speculation. Just after he talked of like
- 34:50Speaker 7: you know, I mean, I know we'll talked to you
- 34:51Speaker 7: this morning, Paul thought that, oh maybe this is Strange
- 34:55Speaker 7: is ready to go.
- 34:55Speaker 4: I do think that Strange has to be activated and
- 34:58Speaker 4: it's going to go to left guard.
- 34:59Speaker 3: But I don't know.
- 35:00Speaker 7: We were I said to Giardi in the locker room,
- 35:03Speaker 7: I said, do you think there's a chance that this
- 35:04Speaker 7: weekend it's cold Strange at center and Robinson at left guard?
- 35:08Speaker 4: Maybe or city? So maybe, Yeah, I think there is
- 35:10Speaker 4: a chance in that.
- 35:11Speaker 7: I think something which Mike Jardy was not a fan of.
- 35:14Speaker 4: I would just say as a side.
- 35:15Speaker 7: But but I think that could be some change. You know,
- 35:18Speaker 7: I don't I don't know. I really wonder if they're
- 35:20Speaker 7: really looking at Strange as a center. Now. That was
- 35:23Speaker 7: that was kind of my biggest takeaway. And you know,
- 35:25Speaker 7: Giardi's point that he was making is like you have
- 35:27Speaker 7: a guy that has played left guard, and you know
- 35:29Speaker 7: it's I know he's had his ups and downs, and
- 35:32Speaker 7: but he's a guy that you drafted to play there.
- 35:34Speaker 4: He played there, like, so you know, interesting I've.
- 35:39Speaker 3: With Strange at center was that he just doesn't have
- 35:42Speaker 3: the body type. But I might be thinking of centers
- 35:45Speaker 3: of old when you're going up against one of those
- 35:46Speaker 3: big nose tackles. There aren't a lot of those left.
- 35:49Speaker 3: Every once in a while you get them. But now
- 35:52Speaker 3: it's you know, guys are moving around and if you
- 35:55Speaker 3: know Ben Brown's having trouble with you know, the stunts
- 35:58Speaker 3: and the twists and all that stuff. To me, that's
- 36:01Speaker 3: more just getting up and being aware more than just
- 36:04Speaker 3: like immediately getting pushed back from a nose tackle. So
- 36:07Speaker 3: maybe in today's NFL a guy like Cole Strange could
- 36:10Speaker 3: play center.
- 36:11Speaker 4: Well, I don't know, but I think that he's bigger
- 36:13Speaker 4: than you think he is. But I also say that,
- 36:15Speaker 4: you know, Mike talked about this yesterday. A lot of
- 36:17Speaker 4: people felt coming out that Strange was the center. A
- 36:21Speaker 4: lot of the college.
- 36:23Speaker 7: Played there the full time as Senior Bowl. Yeah, I
- 36:27Speaker 7: I it's an interesting kind of decision. I'd love to
- 36:29Speaker 7: see Leydon Romins and get a chance again, though, I mean,
- 36:30Speaker 7: I think that's as you get to the final games,
- 36:32Speaker 7: you want to see your rookies get in get an opportunity. So,
- 36:35Speaker 7: you know, when you talked a little bit about him
- 36:37Speaker 7: to nothing exciting, just that he's working hard, that kind
- 36:40Speaker 7: of thing.
- 36:40Speaker 4: Like who would the who is the other guy on
- 36:42Speaker 4: the roster, like backup lineman that has some center experience
- 36:46Speaker 4: with the smith that was the guy I was. I
- 36:49Speaker 4: think I said.
- 36:53Speaker 9: Hands first names that.
- 36:57Speaker 4: Like, I got your quelling. Everybody else calls him Jacqueline.
- 37:03Speaker 9: I know you caught up not saying you know what
- 37:08Speaker 9: his name reminds me of is the Key and Peel.
- 37:10Speaker 7: I know, That's why I'm in my head about it exactly.
- 37:14Speaker 3: Everybody calls a ron.
- 37:17Speaker 6: It's messed me up. But I can't pronoun.
- 37:18Speaker 7: Anybody's names anymore. Yeah, so that was locker room. Nothing
- 37:22Speaker 7: not a lot going in on in the actual locker room.
- 37:24Speaker 7: But yeah, we only just when you and uh and
- 37:29Speaker 7: one other guy who I'm totally blanking on.
- 37:31Speaker 6: At the moment, Kendrick Born.
- 37:35Speaker 7: It was.
- 37:36Speaker 6: It was Kendrick.
- 37:36Speaker 7: It was Kendrick Borne. And another interesting thing with Kendrick
- 37:40Speaker 7: And I mean, I think we talked about this like
- 37:42Speaker 7: I I just think he's a little bit of a
- 37:44Speaker 7: mental error repeater. And he said it himself like, you know,
- 37:47Speaker 7: sometimes I'm getting too much depth. Other times I'm not
- 37:50Speaker 7: getting enough depth, like he you know, and he kind
- 37:52Speaker 7: of made it sound like working on developing chemistry with Drake.
- 37:54Speaker 7: But I just I'm getting to the point where it's like,
- 37:57Speaker 7: I mean, you've been here for a while, like, you know,
- 37:59Speaker 7: shouldn't this be something you should be able to get down.
- 38:01Speaker 4: I talked to Fred and Alex a little bit about
- 38:03Speaker 4: Alex Van Pelt's comments about the hot routes and the blitz,
- 38:07Speaker 4: the route, the blit, the blitz, and you know, and
- 38:10Speaker 4: sort of being in the right place and how important
- 38:12Speaker 4: it is to be precise, and you know, we talked
- 38:15Speaker 4: about that a little bit, and I think maybe Bourne's
- 38:18Speaker 4: part of that as well, because he's kind of been
- 38:21Speaker 4: considered to be one of those guys is not always
- 38:23Speaker 4: where he's supposed to be.
- 38:24Speaker 7: The other interesting part, we've talked a little bit about
- 38:26Speaker 7: how Josh's old offense where there were a lot of
- 38:28Speaker 7: sight adjustments and you know, post snap reads, which always
- 38:31Speaker 7: I thought was a part of the offense that really
- 38:33Speaker 7: made it complicated, and they've gotten rid of that, and
- 38:35Speaker 7: we've talked about them kind of locked into routes and
- 38:38Speaker 7: there's not as much mental processing that needs to go
- 38:41Speaker 7: on after the snap in this offense. So, you know,
- 38:44Speaker 7: it just makes you wonder a little bit about some
- 38:46Speaker 7: of the stuff we saw in years past, of some
- 38:48Speaker 7: of the struggles we've seen with some of these guys.
- 38:49Speaker 7: I don't know, if you know they have they have
- 38:51Speaker 7: the guys that can run that kind of offense.
- 38:53Speaker 4: You know, back in the day when we used to
- 38:54Speaker 4: have our offices in other buildings, you know, back at
- 38:57Speaker 4: the old Foxborough Raceway and then Wallpole Park South. We
- 39:00Speaker 4: used to have a lot of room to play basketball.
- 39:03Speaker 4: We used to have great footbural games. Do you remember
- 39:05Speaker 4: when we used to do the site adjustment in football?
- 39:07Speaker 4: Brian Moury had Brian Moury had a great sight adjustment.
- 39:10Speaker 4: You would get under center and would go.
- 39:14Speaker 3: Run in the middle.
- 39:15Speaker 4: That was that was a sight adjust And then.
- 39:21Speaker 7: Was this indoor Oh yeah, oh yeah, gold left at
- 39:24Speaker 7: the Yeah.
- 39:26Speaker 4: We did a lot of playing almost into change life.
- 39:29Speaker 4: I think I heard that was a very physical over
- 39:31Speaker 4: the middle lineback. You didn't come across the middle line
- 39:33Speaker 4: Ray Lewis of office football. I'm just afraid she's going
- 39:37Speaker 4: to get hurt, just like the internet.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:42Speaker 3: And then then we played baseball with the ball with
- 39:45Speaker 3: two square.
- 39:46Speaker 4: We had a lot of not enough office sports anymore.
- 39:48Speaker 3: Summer camp we had a lot of space.
- 39:51Speaker 4: Kinds have changed because they didn't let us mix with
- 39:54Speaker 4: the masses.
- 39:54Speaker 3: And you know, probably agree rightly so in one of
- 39:56Speaker 3: our graphics people, because we'd be putting out the newspaper,
- 39:59Speaker 3: the ball would land on our keyboard and it would,
- 40:01Speaker 3: you know, screw up with guys trying to work so bad.
- 40:06Speaker 4: I love you Michelle mean it, but she did not
- 40:09Speaker 4: take kindly to our office games.
- 40:11Speaker 8: Uh.
- 40:12Speaker 3: Just what do you call the breaded stuff that you
- 40:15Speaker 3: put gravy on a side? Dish?
- 40:17Speaker 4: Stuff?
- 40:18Speaker 3: Okay? You ever heard people calling it dressing?
- 40:21Speaker 7: I mean I've heard that word before, but I don't
- 40:23Speaker 7: really know what when what contests see call it dressing.
- 40:25Speaker 7: Dressing sounds like a liquid to me though, right.
- 40:28Speaker 6: That's that's yeah, oil based.
- 40:30Speaker 4: We feel you poured.
- 40:33Speaker 7: What's your what's your thing with the Italian? That's not
- 40:36Speaker 7: the sauce Bravy, that's the great It's not bravy. Right. Yeah,
- 40:41Speaker 7: I answered Alice's questions today really made me ponder all
- 40:45Speaker 7: my decisions.
- 40:47Speaker 4: What do you call the brown stuff that you put
- 40:48Speaker 4: on like your roast beef? Gravy? There's a lot of
- 40:51Speaker 4: words in this the English language that can mean multiple things.
- 40:54Speaker 3: Right, Gerald and Grimsby says, I just wanted to wish
- 40:58Speaker 3: my favorite show a happy Thanksgiving and chime in quickly
- 41:01Speaker 3: on turkey. I love it when it comes out of
- 41:03Speaker 3: the oven. I'm slicing that bad boy and picking it.
- 41:06Speaker 3: It at it even before it served lots of basting.
- 41:09Speaker 4: He gets all the good pieces.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it sounds like lots of basting, lots of butter
- 41:15Speaker 3: under the skin. Oh my goodness, that is good again,
- 41:20Speaker 3: basting butter.
- 41:24Speaker 9: Lat Smith found a recipe from our girl Martha Stewart.
- 41:27Speaker 9: He's gonna try cooking it in a cheese cloth with
- 41:31Speaker 9: like butter and all sorts of herbs and wine. I
- 41:34Speaker 9: think soaking a part of white wine.
- 41:37Speaker 7: Well, that's like frying stuff right with Like, did you
- 41:39Speaker 7: know that a fried fill in any food is good?
- 41:41Speaker 4: Like really, like a.
- 41:42Speaker 6: Fried Snickers bar is pretty good?
- 41:44Speaker 7: Like I believe it anything pretty good, fried Oreo.
- 41:47Speaker 3: Fried dough.
- 41:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:48Speaker 7: I don't love turkey, but like I just feel like
- 41:50Speaker 7: that's the protein base that you need to have as part.
- 41:53Speaker 4: Of the situation. That's I mean, I eat it basically
- 41:55Speaker 4: once a year and it'll be tomorrow.
- 41:56Speaker 7: But I e turkey sandwiches a lot.
- 41:57Speaker 4: But you know, but that's what the mayo and the Yeah,
- 42:00Speaker 4: but you like Deli turkey sandwiches right good, like Jersey
- 42:03Speaker 4: like Jersey mice.
- 42:05Speaker 3: I'll probably go to HR for this. But turkey is
- 42:07Speaker 3: like an ugly girl you gotta put makeup on.
- 42:09Speaker 9: That's true.
- 42:10Speaker 6: That's true.
- 42:13Speaker 7: We're an ugly guy.
- 42:15Speaker 6: I kind of like that.
- 42:16Speaker 4: I keep saying I need him for at least another
- 42:19Speaker 4: five years, and he keeps saying things like that, and
- 42:22Speaker 4: it worries me.
- 42:23Speaker 7: Then you cut her head off the entire like together.
- 42:25Speaker 8: And.
- 42:27Speaker 9: Well, I'm not offended, so hopefully no one else is.
- 42:30Speaker 3: Alex.
- 42:31Speaker 4: If it was just you, was the was the bar
- 42:33Speaker 4: that we had to worry about, I wouldn't be concerned.
- 42:35Speaker 9: Well, I had to take the other day that people
- 42:37Speaker 9: cracked up out. I think you might have been in
- 42:40Speaker 9: the little annex with me, but I was saying, like,
- 42:43Speaker 9: it's really hard to be like, it's hard to be
- 42:46Speaker 9: ugly as a woman in twenty twenty four because there's
- 42:49Speaker 9: so many things you can do. There's makeup, there's procedures,
- 42:52Speaker 9: like it's botox, Like I don't know if you're not trying,
- 42:57Speaker 9: you're just not have.
- 42:59Speaker 4: You're given up, honey, you're just giving Well, there's.
- 43:01Speaker 9: Like a lot of really beautiful like everywhere I go,
- 43:03Speaker 9: I'm like, Wow, that's a beautiful woman. This, that's a
- 43:05Speaker 9: really pretty girl. You know, with men, it's not the same.
- 43:09Speaker 4: No, I agree, because we don't have a lot of
- 43:10Speaker 4: things to do.
- 43:12Speaker 3: You lose your hair, adding go to Turkey.
- 43:15Speaker 9: Now you can go to Turkey. You get hair places.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Today with they do the same thing. There's men today
- 43:21Speaker 3: that where eyelin are? You know that's a much for me,
- 43:26Speaker 3: Like I'm not you know, I'm not talking about you know,
- 43:29Speaker 3: drag queens or anything. I'm talking about just guys, just guys,
- 43:34Speaker 3: like some of them are eyeliner.
- 43:36Speaker 9: I have a friend who works in sports media. He's
- 43:39Speaker 9: been preemptibly using rogue for like a decade. He has
- 43:42Speaker 9: a full head of hair, but it's preemptory.
- 43:45Speaker 3: Yeah, well like his genetics, his family loses their hair,
- 43:50Speaker 3: so getting out.
- 43:51Speaker 9: I'll have to ask and report back for you. He's
- 43:54Speaker 9: been very open about this, so I wouldn't feel bad
- 43:57Speaker 9: name dropping. But I'm gonna wait, it's.
- 44:02Speaker 3: Too late to that. Let's see. Katina says she has
- 44:07Speaker 3: some false star practice suggestions. I always assume that if
- 44:12Speaker 3: you're not a particularly talented player, you can focus on
- 44:14Speaker 3: how to improve on things that don't rely on athletic ability.
- 44:18Speaker 3: If sprinters and swimmers can practice getting off the block,
- 44:22Speaker 3: how can these guys not practice standing in their formation
- 44:25Speaker 3: in not moving. I get that oftentimes this gets viewed
- 44:27Speaker 3: as a sign of bad coaching, But how do you
- 44:29Speaker 3: coach this? Can you coach this, If my six year
- 44:32Speaker 3: old managed to win the Family Freeze dance competition by
- 44:36Speaker 3: practicing a lot, surely these professional athletes can attempt to
- 44:40Speaker 3: master not moving before they have to have they tried
- 44:43Speaker 3: practicing with music. Surely this won't count as practice time
- 44:47Speaker 3: because it's fun. They can even try it over Thanksgiving
- 44:50Speaker 3: with their families.
- 44:51Speaker 4: I get instead of eating turkey.
- 44:53Speaker 3: I get this as an oversimplification, but come on, they
- 44:55Speaker 3: need to stop beating themselves.
- 44:57Speaker 9: No, I think it might be on something.
- 44:59Speaker 7: I mean, Alex van Pelt said today this film on
- 45:02Speaker 7: Sunday from practice of them last week having a bunch
- 45:05Speaker 7: of false starts. So what you do in practice carries
- 45:07Speaker 7: over and I think you're totally right.
- 45:09Speaker 3: They need to play musical chairs.
- 45:11Speaker 9: I was thinking that too.
- 45:12Speaker 4: Again.
- 45:12Speaker 7: I just wish they tell us this before the game,
- 45:14Speaker 7: like can we do Friday where like, coach, we need
- 45:16Speaker 7: practice reportings like a lot of false starts this week,
- 45:17Speaker 7: and then we'll be like this isn't looking good, you know, like,
- 45:19Speaker 7: oh it's really clean. That may make me feel a
- 45:21Speaker 7: little more.
- 45:22Speaker 4: I know, like tell me if you suck all week
- 45:24Speaker 4: in practice and imagine when would have picked for that game,
- 45:27Speaker 4: not going in.
- 45:27Speaker 7: Yeah, like the Friday Press convers he is like, it's
- 45:29Speaker 7: not looking good this of you guys.
- 45:30Speaker 4: We're not locked in at all. Gotta be honest. Fade
- 45:35Speaker 4: would fade parlance, you know. Sorry.
- 45:41Speaker 3: Jordan in Kansas rites in what are some Thanksgiving treditions
- 45:45Speaker 3: besides watching the Cowboys lose a football game? Here are
- 45:48Speaker 3: my guesses for you all. One Evan doesn't talk much
- 45:51Speaker 3: during Thanksgiving because people are talking politics and not football.
- 45:54Speaker 3: Two Alex seems like the type to bring store bought
- 45:58Speaker 3: pies and sits at the kids table. I don't know
- 46:04Speaker 3: if he means Barthur Alex.
- 46:05Speaker 9: She's emailing and elaborate.
- 46:08Speaker 3: Three Fred buys stretchy pants so he can move around
- 46:11Speaker 3: a little. He also argues that dessert doesn't count as
- 46:14Speaker 3: a plate. Four Mike feels awful the day after and
- 46:19Speaker 3: goes to the gym for a week, then quits. And
- 46:23Speaker 3: five Paul is skipping this year's Thanksgiving because he's saving
- 46:26Speaker 3: up to buy a car because money's tight. Yep, that
- 46:31Speaker 3: is accurate.
- 46:31Speaker 9: They have the jokes, but no one started to go
- 46:33Speaker 9: fund me for you yet.
- 46:34Speaker 4: No I'm waiting, No, I'm waiting. We'll get your car now,
- 46:39Speaker 4: there's a lot of worse things in life than having
- 46:42Speaker 4: a car that's not the most reliable.
- 46:44Speaker 7: I know I'm going to take mine in on Tuesday,
- 46:46Speaker 7: so we'll hold our breath about that rear issue that
- 46:48Speaker 7: I have to.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Get mine inspected December.
- 46:51Speaker 4: But it will get inspected.
- 46:53Speaker 3: I would imagine.
- 46:54Speaker 4: I'm like mine.
- 46:55Speaker 9: By the way, no longer you can milk it out.
- 46:58Speaker 3: I thought you could do it.
- 46:59Speaker 4: I got options. It's not going to get expected.
- 47:01Speaker 7: You're aware you have a headlight out right, yes, okay, good.
- 47:04Speaker 7: I was pulling out in front of you the other
- 47:06Speaker 7: day and I was like, looking at there's another Yep,
- 47:10Speaker 7: what's the.
- 47:12Speaker 3: I'm glad you still know that car is.
- 47:14Speaker 7: Like that truck on Sandal thing was when you're riding
- 47:22Speaker 7: with your friends.
- 47:23Speaker 3: At least I don't know.
- 47:24Speaker 7: I was chiming and you see it with one headlight,
- 47:26Speaker 7: you say padidtal and then you can punch your friend.
- 47:27Speaker 4: Yep, right, Oh, I did not know that.
- 47:29Speaker 7: You didn't know that no punch your friends.
- 47:31Speaker 4: But yeah, I noticed it. I think Monday, when I
- 47:34Speaker 4: got home from work. Usually when I pull in my driveway,
- 47:36Speaker 4: I can see into the back you know, the backyard,
- 47:39Speaker 4: and I was like it looks awfully dark, and I
- 47:41Speaker 4: clicked on the high beams. I'm like, oh, yeah, now
- 47:45Speaker 4: I can see. So I have to get an oil
- 47:48Speaker 4: change anyway. I'm due this week, so I figured I'll
- 47:50Speaker 4: get them the headlight one then too, Rachel. And then
- 47:53Speaker 4: they're going to say, you know you're engine Hey, yeah,
- 47:55Speaker 4: that's been since early twenty two.
- 47:58Speaker 9: They always say that to you, like they're breaking some
- 47:59Speaker 9: news to you. I don't see my dashboard, I know,
- 48:03Speaker 9: do you know.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Oh it's a big thing. Yes, gaskets catalytic convert oh,
- 48:10Speaker 3: finish each other soon.
- 48:11Speaker 4: Anybody has a catalytic like to not only buy for me,
- 48:14Speaker 4: but install for free.
- 48:15Speaker 3: Here's a question I have for anyone. You see all
- 48:18Speaker 3: these commercials on TV and they've increase the different companies
- 48:22Speaker 3: about insurance for maintenance, you know, like car insuran.
- 48:27Speaker 4: Its a good idea, it's good, is it?
- 48:29Speaker 3: Is it a good deal?
- 48:30Speaker 7: I don't know if I do it, but I always
- 48:31Speaker 7: feel like it's I mean, I probably spent more on
- 48:33Speaker 7: my car than I would say I spent on medical expense.
- 48:36Speaker 3: Well, the advertising makes it seem like a good deal,
- 48:38Speaker 3: but to me, there has to be a catch.
- 48:41Speaker 7: Yeah, probably, But I think we all agree, like and
- 48:43Speaker 7: you're gonna take your car, and like whenever you take
- 48:45Speaker 7: your car and you're spinning like the wheel of death.
- 48:47Speaker 3: Oh're gonna be hold your brain.
- 48:48Speaker 4: Bad news.
- 48:49Speaker 7: You know, if you got more work it's gonna cost
- 48:51Speaker 7: more than the car's work.
- 48:52Speaker 3: Then you never trust them, you know, are they really
- 48:54Speaker 3: being honest?
- 48:55Speaker 9: I had to replace my battery on Monday, actually, and
- 48:59Speaker 9: just like looking into what it would have costed for
- 49:01Speaker 9: labor if I wasn't gifted to have like a really
- 49:03Speaker 9: mechanically inclined little brother, and like just men in my
- 49:06Speaker 9: life that you know that stuff, Like I had a
- 49:09Speaker 9: minimum a new battery. It's taking care of that day.
- 49:12Speaker 4: That's like eighty bucks.
- 49:13Speaker 9: Yeah, I thought it was not anymore. Inflation has battery.
- 49:19Speaker 4: Top Like if you get if you have triple A
- 49:21Speaker 4: or something like that, they'll do it. There is no
- 49:27Speaker 4: you got ale.
- 49:29Speaker 9: Seven bottle and pick it up shout did it for me?
- 49:37Speaker 3: Man?
- 49:38Speaker 9: I just dealt with it, just I just picked it
- 49:42Speaker 9: up at the store. It's the worst heavy.
- 49:44Speaker 3: I hate cars. Rachel doesn't agree with you and me,
- 49:47Speaker 3: that's okay. I'm not understanding Fred and Paul's argument here.
- 49:51Speaker 3: You can't add seasoning to something or else. You just
- 49:53Speaker 3: like the taste of the season you have the meat.
- 49:55Speaker 3: Do you guys not season a steak when you eat it?
- 49:57Speaker 3: So you like salt nottak? Poor take all around, and
- 50:01Speaker 3: it seems more like you've had poorly prepared turkey in
- 50:04Speaker 3: your life. No offense to your wives and mothers. Turkey
- 50:06Speaker 3: is the superior holiday food when compared to ham or chicken,
- 50:10Speaker 3: the most common. Okay, so here's my question for Rachel
- 50:13Speaker 3: and everybody else. How come then you only eat turkey
- 50:16Speaker 3: one day a year? Is your? God? Right? I mean?
- 50:23Speaker 3: You know, you go to a re stawant and people
- 50:26Speaker 3: order roast beef. Nobody goes to a restaurant orders turkey.
- 50:28Speaker 7: So just open face hot turkey sandwich.
- 50:30Speaker 9: I think a pretty coo go to a restaurant hand.
- 50:32Speaker 4: So open face hot turkey sandwich. What's on that gravy?
- 50:36Speaker 1: Correct tons unflavored steak versus unflavored turkey. The steak has
- 50:41Speaker 1: more flavors.
- 50:42Speaker 4: Oh God, at the point, and I just want to
- 50:46Speaker 4: a lot of people like turkey and I and I'm
- 50:48Speaker 4: probably in the minority. So I understand that Fred and
- 50:50Speaker 4: I are on probably the losing side of this in
- 50:53Speaker 4: terms of the majority. But I didn't say that I
- 50:55Speaker 4: didn't season anything. Don't confuse seasoning like seasoning is not
- 51:00Speaker 4: like marinade, basting water, you know, like all these different
- 51:04Speaker 4: things you put sauces and gravies. Like if you have
- 51:08Speaker 4: a good filet, yeah, sure you put some salt on it, salt, pepper,
- 51:12Speaker 4: but you're not dousing it. You're not giving chick chick
- 51:18Speaker 4: a one sauce.
- 51:19Speaker 6: On the same thing.
- 51:20Speaker 9: Is the same thing could be said about chicken. Are
- 51:23Speaker 9: you just having a piece of chicken breast with no sauce, nothing, but.
- 51:29Speaker 3: Saying I put chicken in turkey in the same category.
- 51:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I think chicken is slightly better than turkey, but
- 51:34Speaker 4: I would say that the problems that I have with
- 51:36Speaker 4: both are similar. They generally drop.
- 51:38Speaker 9: You should just put the tasteless gets the size like
- 51:41Speaker 9: Alex Like, yeah, I know, and people were hating on
- 51:43Speaker 9: me for that, But every chef you ask a chef
- 51:46Speaker 9: chicken thighs or chicken breast are picking thighs.
- 51:50Speaker 4: Chicken thighs are good now in full disclosure, it's better
- 51:55Speaker 4: with like either barbecue sauce or like a mao like
- 51:59Speaker 4: Beth makes a terrific, like those chicken thighs with a
- 52:02Speaker 4: maple bourbon that they're really really good. But again I
- 52:06Speaker 4: like the sauce, not the chicken.
- 52:09Speaker 7: So you go to Saint Almost would you get a
- 52:10Speaker 7: sauce on the side of your steak?
- 52:11Speaker 4: Now, straight up, what if it took You've been out
- 52:13Speaker 4: with me many times. If you get a good steak,
- 52:17Speaker 4: you don't need anything with it.
- 52:18Speaker 3: Now I'll give you an example. Okay, so prime rib
- 52:22Speaker 3: is a red you know, it's a red, but it
- 52:24Speaker 3: has a little less taste. So with prime rib, usually
- 52:28Speaker 3: have ojou with it or horse radish sauce. Eating just
- 52:32Speaker 3: prime rib, I can do it, but it's not as
- 52:35Speaker 3: good as steak, you know.
- 52:37Speaker 4: And I wouldn't get you know, like yeah, like that's
- 52:40Speaker 4: good roast beef. You get a you know, French dip.
- 52:43Speaker 4: That's you gotta dip, that's that's the name.
- 52:47Speaker 9: You should just get a red sauce and some peccorina
- 52:50Speaker 9: romano that was your turkey over it. Make it like
- 52:53Speaker 9: it's a chicken palm.
- 52:54Speaker 7: Fool yourself.
- 52:56Speaker 3: And so that it doesn't taste.
- 53:01Speaker 13: With me.
- 53:02Speaker 9: Because I grew up with my grandparents always having rabbits
- 53:06Speaker 9: I named all the rabbits. They were my pets rabbits.
- 53:09Speaker 9: And the next thing I know, my grandfather rest in
- 53:12Speaker 9: peace is skinning the rabbits from my swing set at
- 53:15Speaker 9: his house, and I'm eating the rabbits. So that traumatized.
- 53:18Speaker 9: So you can eat anything, well, yes, I've been referred
- 53:21Speaker 9: to as a human garbage as supposible before. But I
- 53:24Speaker 9: became really sensitive about rabbit. I would not eat it
- 53:28Speaker 9: for a really long time. So for years my family
- 53:30Speaker 9: told me it was chicken. I did not know the difference.
- 53:33Speaker 3: Oh really, and then rabbit would be a little bit
- 53:36Speaker 3: more gamey, gamey.
- 53:39Speaker 9: Rabbit's really good.
- 53:40Speaker 4: It's it's like TJ's room.
- 53:44Speaker 3: But you like lamb.
- 53:46Speaker 4: Lamb is good. I've had lamb tips. I don't think
- 53:50Speaker 4: I've ever had rabbit.
- 53:51Speaker 9: Really.
- 53:52Speaker 4: My dad definitely had lamb tips. They are good.
- 53:54Speaker 7: My dad went hunting rabbit once and he shot one,
- 53:57Speaker 7: and I guess, if you don't kill him, they cry
- 53:59Speaker 7: like babies.
- 53:59Speaker 4: And that was my dad went hunting.
- 54:02Speaker 7: I did my dad in for hunting out crying rabbits.
- 54:05Speaker 9: It's all my trauma stories with animals are with rabbits.
- 54:07Speaker 9: I was at a driving range with like some old
- 54:09Speaker 9: coworkers once from Nelson and Gary Streiski hit a drive
- 54:14Speaker 9: in the driving range and hit a rabbit and the
- 54:17Speaker 9: rabbit started seizing right in front of us.
- 54:19Speaker 3: And just, I just I just don't like sad people
- 54:23Speaker 3: are the animals suffer?
- 54:25Speaker 9: What he liked, He's great.
- 54:29Speaker 4: I enjoyed that. I love that's Saturday morning combination of
- 54:32Speaker 4: him and Randy Scott was here.
- 54:34Speaker 9: That's how they are in real life.
- 54:36Speaker 4: And Randy Scott was a really guy in the locker room.
- 54:38Speaker 4: I didn't know Gary at all. I don't think I've
- 54:40Speaker 4: ever met him. But Randy he's.
- 54:41Speaker 9: Exactly how you think he's going to be based on
- 54:43Speaker 9: his his on air, Like that's just him.
- 54:46Speaker 4: But I have a lot of fun I like. I
- 54:48Speaker 4: like watching him on Saturday mornings.
- 54:50Speaker 13: Uh.
- 54:50Speaker 3: Back to the tp X hotline. Danny's in Florida.
- 54:53Speaker 4: Hey, Danny, Oh, Donnie.
- 54:55Speaker 8: Hey, what's going on?
- 54:56Speaker 13: Paul Fred?
- 54:57Speaker 3: Hey?
- 54:58Speaker 9: Hey?
- 54:59Speaker 4: Happy Thanksgiving?
- 55:00Speaker 8: Hey Happy Thanksgiving to you guys. Yeah. I tried to
- 55:03Speaker 8: call him, Yes, sir, I apologize for the the sound.
- 55:07Speaker 3: You know.
- 55:07Speaker 14: I'm like biggie, I've been driving on the road with
- 55:09Speaker 14: a big trump, so I h my topic today.
- 55:12Speaker 8: There's a few topics.
- 55:13Speaker 14: I want to mention that I tried to mention yesterday,
- 55:17Speaker 14: I'm gonna agree with with your with your guys Fred
- 55:21Speaker 14: or not Paul, with Zmac and Bert Dan and those
- 55:25Speaker 14: guys on my name point five spurts of I was
- 55:29Speaker 14: listening to the Breer today.
- 55:31Speaker 8: And yesterday in the last few days, and he's.
- 55:34Speaker 14: Been saying exactly what I've been saying since the beginning
- 55:37Speaker 14: of the season.
- 55:38Speaker 8: Because I was, I was worried about it.
- 55:41Speaker 9: I didn't.
- 55:42Speaker 14: I don't the reason I don't like Elliott Wolfson, I
- 55:45Speaker 14: don't like Mayo. I just don't think for this situation
- 55:48Speaker 14: and right now the team the stated who was in.
- 55:51Speaker 14: Maybe on a good team like maybe the Chiefs or
- 55:53Speaker 14: the Jacksonville they would have been in an okay situation
- 55:56Speaker 14: because they have a decent, a good roster, but the
- 55:59Speaker 14: condition the way it is now, those two guys are
- 56:02Speaker 14: not fit for this current job. And I just think
- 56:05Speaker 14: that that's always going to be the problem, and the
- 56:08Speaker 14: craft Will just went into this approach of just being
- 56:11Speaker 14: lazy and instead of interviewing, Brier named so many Canadas
- 56:15Speaker 14: across the league from all these different hop teams that
- 56:17Speaker 14: they could have brought in and interviewed in they offer
- 56:19Speaker 14: to say, oh screw, we're not going to do that,
- 56:21Speaker 14: and then okay, so they want to keep drawing mail.
- 56:24Speaker 8: That's fine, but he has no experience.
- 56:27Speaker 14: Why not bring in They did on the offensive side,
- 56:30Speaker 14: they brought in Ben McAdoo and they had Alex van Pep,
- 56:33Speaker 14: two guys that are pretty experienced, but they didn't bring
- 56:35Speaker 14: anybody experience on the defensive side. If they want to
- 56:39Speaker 14: keep Mano as the head coach as far so, they
- 56:41Speaker 14: don't bring in no senior defensive analysts or someone that
- 56:44Speaker 14: could come in and help de Marcus coming in.
- 56:47Speaker 8: Brier made another point.
- 56:49Speaker 14: He said that if you look at across the league,
- 56:53Speaker 14: it's very rare to see a defensive line coach so
- 56:56Speaker 14: straight to becoming a coordinator and having success, and which
- 57:00Speaker 14: is true.
- 57:01Speaker 8: There was a point with you.
- 57:03Speaker 14: See, at Baltimore they had their linebackers, so he worked
- 57:06Speaker 14: on the staff for a long long time and then
- 57:08Speaker 14: he promoted up to the ranks to become the coordinator.
- 57:11Speaker 14: You see if you look at Miami, how Anthony Weaver
- 57:14Speaker 14: was a defensive line coach. He struggled in the beginning
- 57:16Speaker 14: of getting the defense right in Miami and they're just
- 57:19Speaker 14: now starting to come on de.
- 57:21Speaker 8: Marcus the struggle.
- 57:22Speaker 14: I don't really think he knows the back end of
- 57:24Speaker 14: the defense, or really the middle end of the defense.
- 57:27Speaker 8: And I think just as a defensive line coach, he
- 57:29Speaker 8: wasn't ready for this position.
- 57:31Speaker 11: He needed to go work in the.
- 57:32Speaker 14: Secondary, learn how more how the secondary operates, work in
- 57:37Speaker 14: the middle back as the linebacker's coach, and then do
- 57:40Speaker 14: what like Bryan Flores did. He started off working in
- 57:43Speaker 14: the secondary, he worked in a linebacker.
- 57:45Speaker 8: Now look what he's doing in Minnesota. Everyone's confused.
- 57:48Speaker 14: They don't even know, they don't even know.
- 57:51Speaker 8: Where the blitz is coming from.
- 57:52Speaker 14: Brian Flores is doing a fantastic job.
- 57:54Speaker 8: And I think that's just the no.
- 57:57Speaker 3: I get it, Danny. Yeah, I hear what you're saying. Yeah,
- 58:00Speaker 3: I hear what you're saying. Thanks for the call.
- 58:03Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, I mean I think there's some truth to
- 58:07Speaker 4: you know that there's some newness. We talked about this
- 58:09Speaker 4: all off season. There's a lot of guys in roles
- 58:11Speaker 4: that they've never been in before, and there's going to
- 58:13Speaker 4: be a learning curve, right.
- 58:14Speaker 3: I think this no coming to it's interesting because, like
- 58:17Speaker 3: he said, he makes a good point. Whether it's Macado
- 58:19Speaker 3: or Vampel, they've had experience, you know, they've you know,
- 58:23Speaker 3: other than calling plays, but as far as coaching offense,
- 58:26Speaker 3: they have a lot of experience coaching quarterbacks. Covington, he's
- 58:32Speaker 3: a young guy and all he's done is the line.
- 58:33Speaker 3: And I heard Brie last night, I was watching that show,
- 58:36Speaker 3: and he said, you don't normally see a line coach
- 58:39Speaker 3: go right from that to be a coordinator.
- 58:42Speaker 7: Is it usually linebackers are secondary coach.
- 58:44Speaker 3: Yeah. Usually, you know, usually they start at the line,
- 58:46Speaker 3: they move back to the linebacker they started the back,
- 58:49Speaker 3: and they move up, you know, so they get a
- 58:51Speaker 3: little bit more of a feeling of the total defense
- 58:54Speaker 3: before they get to be a coordinator. So it's it's
- 58:58Speaker 3: it is an unusual route. It is a little bit.
- 59:01Speaker 7: But I also think they kept coaches that have been
- 59:03Speaker 7: in their positions.
- 59:04Speaker 4: That's that's what I would have pushed back at, is
- 59:07Speaker 4: what Mike is talking about. We just said it. You
- 59:10Speaker 4: have Covington, you have Mayo, you have Pellegrino, you have
- 59:12Speaker 4: Brian Belichick. Like there's a lot of guys that were
- 59:15Speaker 4: in their roles. Yeah, yeah, you know, yep, So yes,
- 59:19Speaker 4: he's calling the plays. Now they don't have a defensive coordinator,
- 59:22Speaker 4: they didn't have anybody.
- 59:23Speaker 3: But who's on the rock if you want to be
- 59:25Speaker 3: the game plan team, who's coming up with that game plan?
- 59:28Speaker 4: And now that's if you ask me, it should be
- 59:30Speaker 4: Jerrod Mayo. Well that's what it was when Bill Belichick
- 59:33Speaker 4: was the coach.
- 59:33Speaker 3: That's I think a lot of people went into the
- 59:35Speaker 3: season assuming that he was going to have a role
- 59:38Speaker 3: in the defense. I don't know if he does or not,
- 59:40Speaker 3: but whatever, it's not working now unfortunately. And you know, listen,
- 59:45Speaker 3: there's other circumstances, I know, with the injuries and everything
- 59:48Speaker 3: like that.
- 59:48Speaker 4: But and what I don't know, because I don't know
- 59:50Speaker 4: enough about the schemes and whatnot, is how much of
- 59:55Speaker 4: the problems have been game plan related and how much
- 59:57Speaker 4: of them is just EXE talent related and execution. They're
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: talking a lot about execution, right, Well, that's the last
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: the last week or two, you've heard a lot about.
- 1:00:07Speaker 7: I mean, I was just not executed, I would say,
- 1:00:09Speaker 7: kind of a whole year that's been. I mean, it's
- 1:00:10Speaker 7: I think the message from DeMarcus Covington's been pretty consistent,
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: like it's always kind of pointing at that, and you know,
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: for all the things that they haven't had answers for
- 1:00:18Speaker 7: this year, He you know, says this is what we're
- 1:00:20Speaker 7: doing in practice to improve those things, but you haven't
- 1:00:22Speaker 7: seen the results.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: Right, We'll take a break. We'll come to foods here. Yeah,

- 1:02:38Speaker 18: you celebrate.
- 1:02:38Speaker 19: Sorry, but it's just a TV question, but just yeah, no, no,
- 1:02:41Speaker 19: no doubt. Yeah, I'm blessed, you, thankful a bunch of things.
- 1:02:45Speaker 19: Got a great family, you know, great you know, great
- 1:02:48Speaker 19: spot in my life. Just trying to take get into
- 1:02:50Speaker 19: the opportunities that I have. I'm grate for this team,
- 1:02:52Speaker 19: this organization, beref the Good Lord and you know, bless
- 1:02:56Speaker 19: for you know all that He's given to me and
- 1:02:58Speaker 19: you know his purpose. So just trying to live through
- 1:03:00Speaker 19: that and just you know, thankful for you know, good
- 1:03:03Speaker 19: people and un forgetting opportunity to Sunday.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: Like there were some inconsistencies or missed opportunities against the
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: Blitz in Miami. Now that you've gotten to watch the
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: film and talk to the guys, I was wondering, what
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: do you think were of the biggest issues that popped up?
- 1:03:15Speaker 13: Uh.
- 1:03:17Speaker 19: I think the biggest thing is just be on the
- 1:03:18Speaker 19: same page. I think, you know, I think you know,
- 1:03:20Speaker 19: these guys are you know, working hard during the week,
- 1:03:22Speaker 19: and I felt we're putting some good practice together. I
- 1:03:25Speaker 19: think you just gotta translate to the field. I think
- 1:03:26Speaker 19: it's different when those reps do count, and I think,
- 1:03:29Speaker 19: you know, something we'll figure out. I think we've been
- 1:03:31Speaker 19: good against the blitz you know in my time since
- 1:03:33Speaker 19: uh I kind of became the starter, So I don't
- 1:03:35Speaker 19: think it's something that we're gonna over harper about. I
- 1:03:36Speaker 19: think sometimes you catch them in some things and try
- 1:03:39Speaker 19: to exploit they're blitzes and from there to try to
- 1:03:42Speaker 19: get the ball out, and they do a better job
- 1:03:43Speaker 19: of getting the ball out and get it out faster.
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: How would you descrive your mindset after that game, which
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: obviously one of the more a couple ones you've had
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: as a starter. Is it frustrated?
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: Is it angry?
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: But how would you kind of kind of put yourself
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: in the spending place?
- 1:03:57Speaker 19: No out frustrating? You know, you're out there and you
- 1:03:59Speaker 19: got to you know, goosegg on the scoreboard for for
- 1:04:02Speaker 19: you know, most of the game, and you feel like
- 1:04:04Speaker 19: you're you're moving the ball just you're kind of hurting
- 1:04:06Speaker 19: ourselves offensively. So I think just just mindset, keep going,
- 1:04:09Speaker 19: you know, keep going, you get them. You know, we're
- 1:04:11Speaker 19: gonna you know, filter, you know, filter some things out
- 1:04:13Speaker 19: and and figure it out. And we've been moving the
- 1:04:15Speaker 19: ball this year, so I'm just gonna start hurting ourselves
- 1:04:17Speaker 19: and you know, whether it's in the red zone hurting
- 1:04:18Speaker 19: ourselves or have star possessions on first down. So I
- 1:04:22Speaker 19: think we got, you know, got the right guys in
- 1:04:24Speaker 19: there that can make the plays. And I just gotta
- 1:04:25Speaker 19: be a better job on my part of giving football
- 1:04:27Speaker 19: and you know, getting the ball out faster to help
- 1:04:30Speaker 19: you guys up.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: Front with some of the turnovers.
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: It seems like sold them are when you're trailing trying
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: to make the play.
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: Are you confident that you'll be able to curse.
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: Some of the turnovers but those aren't the situations that
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: you're at.
- 1:04:42Speaker 19: Yeah, I think I'm you know, I'm not too worried about,
- 1:04:43Speaker 19: you know terms obviously, you know, you know, putting the
- 1:04:45Speaker 19: ball and harm's way is a big emphasis for fastball
- 1:04:48Speaker 19: team as a quarterback. But I think when you're trying
- 1:04:51Speaker 19: to fight back and trying the game, you're trying to
- 1:04:52Speaker 19: make some plays, you know, some of them, some of
- 1:04:54Speaker 19: them happen. But I do think, you know, back on
- 1:04:56Speaker 19: my saving I just haven't not worried about. I am
- 1:04:58Speaker 19: worried about, you know, trying football over that's the problem.
- 1:05:00Speaker 19: But at the end of the day, you can't turn
- 1:05:02Speaker 19: the football over and especially you know, I think we're
- 1:05:04Speaker 19: losing turnover margin and most of the games, you know,
- 1:05:07Speaker 19: with with me back there, so I need something that
- 1:05:09Speaker 19: I need to prove on.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: Sure you you had that big running game against Tennessee
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: a few weeks ago, ninety five yards.
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: It seemed like teams are really taking make an effort
- 1:05:17Speaker 6: to try to take that element out of the game.
- 1:05:18Speaker 19: In the last few weeks, I have noticed too much,
- 1:05:21Speaker 19: you know. I think I just kind of based on
- 1:05:22Speaker 19: the game plan and you know, certain down of distances.
- 1:05:25Speaker 19: You know, we're kind of you know, fighting against the
- 1:05:27Speaker 19: chains and you know, backed up. It's a little hard
- 1:05:29Speaker 19: to kind of defensive sitting back in some zone and
- 1:05:32Speaker 19: little thing like that. So just try to take advantage
- 1:05:34Speaker 19: when the opportunities do come, but you know, not really
- 1:05:36Speaker 19: trying to hunt it up, just trying to take care
- 1:05:38Speaker 19: of my body at the same time, you know, when
- 1:05:40Speaker 19: they do when they are there, and I'm still not
- 1:05:41Speaker 19: afraid of you go make a play. From your first
- 1:05:44Speaker 19: two three starts to the last three weeks, how have
- 1:05:46Speaker 19: you seen defenses adjust and play you more recently? I
- 1:05:51Speaker 19: think just bringing different guys. I think kind of you know,
- 1:05:53Speaker 19: bringing guys externally, and you're trying to do some different
- 1:05:55Speaker 19: things to kind of you either make me hot or
- 1:05:58Speaker 19: you know, make you throw hot or little things like that.
- 1:06:00Speaker 19: So I think I'm just trying to you know, see
- 1:06:03Speaker 19: different experiences and and learn from them and just go about,
- 1:06:06Speaker 19: you know, the next week and hopefully not be a
- 1:06:08Speaker 19: you know, repeat defender. You know, that's what ABP preaches
- 1:06:10Speaker 19: and and coach mail. So that's my biggest thing. And
- 1:06:13Speaker 19: then from that, defensively, just gotta be able to run
- 1:06:15Speaker 19: the football. You know, like I said, you're behind the chains.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: It's hard. You know, we need to.
- 1:06:18Speaker 19: Established the run. It helps us you know, down the
- 1:06:21Speaker 19: road and play action and throw it on first down
- 1:06:23Speaker 19: and mix it up. So little things like that this
- 1:06:26Speaker 19: kind of year.
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: If you hear about the rookie Wall sometimes, is that
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: something that's talked about y'all or is that really not something.
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: You can write about?
- 1:06:33Speaker 19: Yeah, Rickie Wall for me, you know, really starting quarterback,
- 1:06:35Speaker 19: you know all the really thing of rookie Wall is
- 1:06:37Speaker 19: kind of hit me. I think, you know, by this time,
- 1:06:39Speaker 19: everybody is and you're going through some type of you know,
- 1:06:41Speaker 19: injury or tired or something like that. So you know
- 1:06:44Speaker 19: what opportunity to you'll be the starting quarterback from the
- 1:06:46Speaker 19: woman the Patriots. So I don't really know what you
- 1:06:48Speaker 19: well from me.
- 1:06:49Speaker 18: It comes again in the Rundy and Going Drake Draud said,
- 1:06:52Speaker 18: I think it was about a week ago or so,
- 1:06:54Speaker 18: you know, we're gonna start putting more on your plate
- 1:06:56Speaker 18: when he was asking about designed quarterback runs so separate
- 1:06:58Speaker 18: from the scrambles that you might do sort of on
- 1:07:00Speaker 18: the script. How would you like that if that was
- 1:07:03Speaker 18: starting to be incorporated into the Patriots offices.
- 1:07:06Speaker 8: It's something that you.
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: Would lob you for no doubt.
- 1:07:08Speaker 19: I think the time and place for I think, you know,
- 1:07:10Speaker 19: you know, third and short yardage or down in the
- 1:07:12Speaker 19: red zone or go line or maybe QB drawl or
- 1:07:15Speaker 19: something like that. I think there's definitely a place for that,
- 1:07:16Speaker 19: and you can kind of keep defenders and defenses on,
- 1:07:19Speaker 19: you know, on their toes with you know, mixing it
- 1:07:21Speaker 19: up and just gotta do my part of getting down
- 1:07:23Speaker 19: when it once. I do get the yardage, but do
- 1:07:25Speaker 19: we think there's a time and place for it. But
- 1:07:27Speaker 19: at the same time, I think, you know, getting the
- 1:07:28Speaker 19: ball in Madre and ag and Hasey's hands better than mine.
- 1:07:32Speaker 14: So take the.
- 1:07:33Speaker 7: NFFL re instated Jabrill Peppers as his teammate.
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: How do you feel about that?
- 1:07:37Speaker 19: It's glad to have him back in the build him.
- 1:07:39Speaker 19: You know, no Peppers, you know, you know a real
- 1:07:40Speaker 19: situation is you'll wait for him to you know, speak
- 1:07:43Speaker 19: on it. So I'm just glad to have him back.
- 1:07:44Speaker 19: And you know he's a great player.
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: Coach mac brownis let go this morning. Uh Helana, just
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: thought on what he meant to you your time down there.
- 1:07:55Speaker 19: You meant the world to me. He's probably probably the
- 1:07:57Speaker 19: main reason I went to North Carolina Hall of Fame coach.
- 1:08:00Speaker 19: He's done it and he's such a players coach. So
- 1:08:03Speaker 19: I saw the news and hated for him, and you know,
- 1:08:05Speaker 19: love coach and appreciated him what he did for me.
- 1:08:07Speaker 19: But I know, you know he's he left it all
- 1:08:09Speaker 19: out there and you know he's got no regrets. So
- 1:08:11Speaker 19: thank you.

- 1:09:48Speaker 3: Oh yeah, the turkey's every little They have them in
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: the hills of North Protun't you can't find a turkey.
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: You're not a good hunter.
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: You need to Oh yeah, that's all over and there
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: I would soon. They're pretty easy to shoot.
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: They're huge.
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: Now maybe it's all feathers and you miss and you
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: got to hit, you know, center of man.
- 1:10:04Speaker 7: Some of them go on the offensive, though there is
- 1:10:06Speaker 7: Oh yeah, they mark you, yeah, and they attack.
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: I could see you being made of turkey's bitch.
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: Oh and they like packet your Now, that would be
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: a great story if you were you know.
- 1:10:15Speaker 6: It would be an ironic ironic.
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: Wedded by a turkey, Like yeah, actually you were forced
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: to become the mate of a turkey.
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: The revenant that thing we're on the other day, Eric
- 1:10:26Speaker 4: would be penetrated by a turkey.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: That's another great moment from.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: I forgot that one.
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: Do you guys catch the just how many times we
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: come back from one of these breaks with Fred probabeating.
- 1:10:40Speaker 7: Oh yeah, it sounds like the opportunity, right, friend saw
- 1:10:43Speaker 7: the opportunity, so Andy dropped that line. Freend was like, interesting,
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: let's explore.
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: This a little bit. It went from you just getting
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: passed to being forced to life, Eric in a Turkey
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: well something all right back here. TPS hotline is eight
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: five to five past five hundred podcasts at patriots dot
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: com is the email address, and we've got a lot
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: of emails coming.
- 1:11:11Speaker 7: Eric.
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I started putting together the roster.
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: I thought you were going to say started the book
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: on Africa.
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: I put together the roster that Fred has tasked me with.
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: So I'm going to ask for some help here. I'm
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: going to put a call out for help. We have
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: a lot of listeners that have been with us for
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: a long time, and they have better memories than me.
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: So yes, So if you have like an obscure obviously
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: you know Andy, Eric, you know he who shall not
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: be named Mike PARENTI.
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: I have a lot of the lists that you're creating.
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: The roster, the all time roster of the people that
- 1:11:45Speaker 4: have been on the show, you know, on a fairly
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: regular basis, not just like a guest that came in.
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: But how long?
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: Yeah, like I'm not counting how how we long? Types
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: Adam Schefter when he was on his memory phone the
- 1:11:59Speaker 4: whole time you're talking to us.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: Two phones going.
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: So if you have, you know, maybe you think of
- 1:12:04Speaker 4: a guy that might be a little obscure or off
- 1:12:07Speaker 4: the beaten path, shoot an email to podcasts right plural? Yeah,
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: what else is the rest of that? Because I I
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: put together sort of a preliminary list in Fred did
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: I thought for sure you would have like a number
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: of guys. Oh you forgot this, this, this, and yeah,
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: I think you would.
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: You got it pretty well.
- 1:12:31Speaker 4: So I'm sure I missed somebody.
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: I don't want to hear what.
- 1:12:35Speaker 4: Randolph was here, Randolph Charlatan.
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: I don't think he was on the show though, Like
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: so I was coming up with those names, but I'm like,
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: I don't think they were.
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: Randolph was the King. We used to do these little
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: in the preview. We'd have like a little behind the
- 1:12:47Speaker 4: enemy lines kind of like spotlights offense defense. And they
- 1:12:50Speaker 4: were small, you know, just like little brief things. And
- 1:12:53Speaker 4: he was an intern, so we used to have him
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: do that. Brian would be like, hey, Randolph, you have
- 1:12:58Speaker 4: those spotlights yet? Yeah, I just have to finish writing them.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: But it would always be I just have to I'm like, Randolph,
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: I just have to it.
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: Was always yes, and then in five minute reason why
- 1:13:12Speaker 4: I wasn't done yet. I knew him a little bit
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: in the blogosphere.
- 1:13:15Speaker 7: I knew really, yeah, a little bit. I knew who
- 1:13:16Speaker 7: he was like a kid. Yeah, yeah, a little bit.
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: I mean never met you know, Brian always called him.
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: Are those spotlights yet? Yeah? I just have to finish
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: right now.
- 1:13:27Speaker 7: They're together in my mind.
- 1:13:28Speaker 9: That's what I sell all the time. It's written in
- 1:13:30Speaker 9: my head, just not in the physical world yet.
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: Oh boy.
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: So if you can think of someone that you think
- 1:13:37Speaker 4: might have slipped through the cracks, shoot an email. Fred
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: will read them and let me know if I miss somebody.
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: Okay, let's get back to the tpx heutline. Mike's in
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: Puerto Rico. What's up? Mike?
- 1:13:48Speaker 8: Hey doing well? How there are I doing?
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: Hey? Mike's up, Mike?
- 1:13:53Speaker 8: Happy?
- 1:13:53Speaker 13: Thanksgiving you too? So Fred, do you mind if I
- 1:13:58Speaker 13: put you on the spot for a minute.
- 1:13:59Speaker 4: Sure, Okay.
- 1:14:02Speaker 13: So I was thinking about the situation that we are
- 1:14:06Speaker 13: right now, where you had Bobcraft that made an internal
- 1:14:11Speaker 13: selection and after having basically very little bedding process for
- 1:14:18Speaker 13: outside candidates and basically succeeding or replacing one of the
- 1:14:24Speaker 13: best coaches one of the best, if not the best
- 1:14:27Speaker 13: coach of all time. Right, So I see parallels with
- 1:14:32Speaker 13: something that has happening with you. Because we used to
- 1:14:36Speaker 13: have the uh Eric as one of the best podcasts.
- 1:14:41Speaker 13: I'm kidding, I'm kidding. We used to have Hardy as
- 1:14:45Speaker 13: one of the best hosts for the post game show
- 1:14:49Speaker 13: and he he left, And you seem to have made
- 1:14:53Speaker 13: an internal selection without at least from our end, seemed
- 1:14:58Speaker 13: much more like of a vetting process because you said
- 1:15:02Speaker 13: that it was pretty early in the process that that
- 1:15:05Speaker 13: you made your decision.
- 1:15:06Speaker 8: So based on that.
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: So, Mike, it's a it's a good analogy. I have
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: to give you credit.
- 1:15:14Speaker 7: You know.
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: It came about I was on a retreat in Attleborough
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: with Matt Smith and he just showed to me that
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: he was really a leader of shows. But know, we'll see,
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: we'll see. You know, it's a learning curve and uh,
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: you know, we didn't expect him to be able to, uh,
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: you know, come right into the shoes with one of
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: the best pre game post game hosts that we've.
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: Ever had bumps.
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: But he's learning and uh, you know, we'll see what happens.
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: But that's a good one.
- 1:15:47Speaker 9: Mike.
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: I looked at him.
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: It's a good analysis.
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: It's good yet is uh.
- 1:15:54Speaker 7: He's gotten his glasses fog down, which is a good
- 1:15:56Speaker 7: you know, progress we're seeing it.
- 1:15:58Speaker 4: Also, it's been a lot better. He's gotten a lot better.
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: I still people still complain he doesn't do the good,
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: the bad, and the injured, right.
- 1:16:08Speaker 4: I think he didn't do it right this week. I
- 1:16:10Speaker 4: think he did. I think we waited too long to
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: get into.
- 1:16:13Speaker 7: There was no good list, so he was able.
- 1:16:14Speaker 4: That was a problem. That was a problem, the good
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: list consistent of individual plays, good tackle.
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: Kevin's in San Francisco. What's up, Kevin? Hey, guys, how
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: we're doing good? Are you escaping from Alcatraz?
- 1:16:32Speaker 19: Yeah?
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 1:16:32Speaker 11: I'm walking down Chesterna Street right now. It's old busy.
- 1:16:35Speaker 11: I was listening to the podcast yesterday and the conversation
- 1:16:40Speaker 11: came up about you know, the lad McCaughey and you know,
- 1:16:44Speaker 11: what's the name Pop Douglas not sitting in zones, and
- 1:16:47Speaker 11: then Evan explained that it was based on the type
- 1:16:50Speaker 11: of offense that they run. So my question is this,
- 1:16:54Speaker 11: do you think who else, what other teams are successful
- 1:16:58Speaker 11: with this offense that we're running today. And the second
- 1:17:01Speaker 11: question is do you think it's the right offense for
- 1:17:03Speaker 11: Drake and a moving forward.
- 1:17:05Speaker 8: We'll take it off there.
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: Thank you. That's a good question and I wish Evan
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: was here to answer it.
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: Yeah, that is that I mean in all series is
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: that is more of an Evan question than me.
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: Now. Evan says that the principles of the Van Pelt
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: offense is being used in a lot of offenses around
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: the league right now.
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: Well, you know the West Coast office, Well it's it's
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: got its base. Antiliah regular with them.
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: Well, yeah, it's got its bases in the West Coast offense,
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: which a lot of these tighte pants guys either came
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: from or mcarre mentor came from.
- 1:17:37Speaker 4: McVeigh and Shannahan run a version of this, but it's different,
- 1:17:40Speaker 4: but I run a more sophisticated version. But I heard
- 1:17:43Speaker 4: sort of old school.
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: But I heard like when it comes to the Shanahan offense,
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: the main principle of it is it's quarterback friendly.
- 1:17:52Speaker 4: Yeah, and I would say, you know, this isn't a
- 1:17:55Speaker 4: good year for it, but Dallas had a really good
- 1:17:57Speaker 4: offense last year and Mike McCarthy kind of runs this offense,
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: it's very similar. Again, I'm not an expert. You can
- 1:18:04Speaker 4: probably give me like seventeen different ways why what I
- 1:18:06Speaker 4: just said is wrong. But Mike McCarthy is an old
- 1:18:09Speaker 4: school West Coast offense coach, you know.
- 1:18:13Speaker 7: I just think the hard thing is that they don't
- 1:18:15Speaker 7: really have the personnel to run what they they're trying
- 1:18:17Speaker 7: to tell us that they want, so it's hard to
- 1:18:20Speaker 7: see how it fits in. But I would just hope
- 1:18:22Speaker 7: that they evolve, you know, into the know a little
- 1:18:25Speaker 7: bit over these last five games. But if everything stays
- 1:18:27Speaker 7: in place in the next year, you know, continue to
- 1:18:29Speaker 7: evolve with Drake. I don't need to see Drake running
- 1:18:31Speaker 7: in a bunch like I think this offense could be fine.
- 1:18:33Speaker 7: But I think they just need the right personality.
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: I don't need designed runs. I mean, if you want
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: to have it in the in the bag, as everyon
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: likes to say, sure, and certainly short yardage, red zone,
- 1:18:43Speaker 4: I'm all for it, but I don't want to know.
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: I don't need him running ten twelve times a game
- 1:18:47Speaker 4: by design.
- 1:18:47Speaker 7: He's got a rocket arm, let him run, let him
- 1:18:49Speaker 7: throw it.
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: Rose is writing in from Brazil. She says, listening to
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: you guys talk about food. It became clear to me
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: why every time we receive Americans in Brazil everyone eats
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: as if they've been starving for a lifetime. Anyway, you
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: will always be welcome here and Patriots Nation is huge here.
- 1:19:07Speaker 7: I heard that that steakhouse is huge in Brazil, that
- 1:19:10Speaker 7: it's like one of the most popular steakhouses is out
- 1:19:12Speaker 7: That Steakhouse in Brazil.
- 1:19:14Speaker 9: In Brazil, Brazilian steakhouses are incredible, right, It's like.
- 1:19:19Speaker 4: The place to sit here. There's a lot of Brazilians, right.
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: I read that that's like the place to be is
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: they have They have these Brazilian steakhouses here where they
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: just keep bringing you meet.
- 1:19:33Speaker 9: Bury me there.
- 1:19:36Speaker 4: Huh, she learns me something every show.
- 1:19:39Speaker 9: Have you ever been to Fogu? They're everywhere? No, you'd
- 1:19:43Speaker 9: love it.
- 1:19:44Speaker 4: Well, I know I have where like where's.
- 1:19:48Speaker 9: Like there's one in the Prudential Center. Definitely haven't been there,
- 1:19:52Speaker 9: but they're scattered across the country bougie places.
- 1:19:56Speaker 7: I just I had to confirm my take it was
- 1:19:58Speaker 7: it's The Washington Post wrote last June, why out Back
- 1:20:01Speaker 7: Steakhouse is the most popular restaurant in Brazil.
- 1:20:03Speaker 9: That's crazy.
- 1:20:04Speaker 4: A steakhouse.
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: Is it the same? Like do they do you think
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: they there?
- 1:20:10Speaker 9: Because I feel like you can just go to probably
- 1:20:12Speaker 9: any restaurant in Brazil and get a great steak.
- 1:20:14Speaker 7: So it's like, do they need to have that an
- 1:20:17Speaker 7: awesome blossom or a blue man onion?
- 1:20:19Speaker 4: Which one is that?
- 1:20:20Speaker 9: I think?
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: Yeah, it was pretty good, it's not it's not terrible.
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: I've never been to.
- 1:20:25Speaker 7: Another back steakhouse.
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: They're okay. But I'll tell you people are probably gonna
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: laugh at me because I do love steak. But Longhorn
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: is a good value.
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: There's nothing wrong with Longhorn.
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: It's it's a good value.
- 1:20:38Speaker 6: It's gonna be well, that's not.
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: You can get a bad steak and I love steak.
- 1:20:45Speaker 9: I've yet to come across one. But I believe you.
- 1:20:47Speaker 4: But those I agree with you on Longhorn underrated underrated.
- 1:20:53Speaker 4: Out back is okay, but it's more like what you're
- 1:20:55Speaker 4: talking about, shouse not bad.
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: Red Lobster had no business calling itself a food place.
- 1:21:03Speaker 4: That place was that's different.
- 1:21:07Speaker 7: Post outbacks.
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: Sorry, Red Lobster. I'll have the shrimp and they're like,
- 1:21:12Speaker 4: you know this big It's like it's awful.
- 1:21:15Speaker 9: So you can go to like, don't get seafood out.
- 1:21:17Speaker 4: She had all these places. Now you have like the
- 1:21:19Speaker 4: Fried Chicken, you know, like Chick fil a. Everybody's got
- 1:21:22Speaker 4: the Fried pop Eyes. Like it's really flip the bird huge.
- 1:21:27Speaker 4: It's like big.
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:21:28Speaker 4: You get all these different little steakhouses from high end
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: to you know, more affordable, but all the turkey houses.
- 1:21:35Speaker 3: Yeah, good point, Paul. No one likes it, right, you
- 1:21:41Speaker 3: eat it one day a year. Tom and England, Happy
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: Thanksgiving to all of you from across the pond.
- 1:21:48Speaker 14: Uh.
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: We don't have the Poddle game here, but we do
- 1:21:51Speaker 3: have the yellow car game where you can punch your friend.
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: If you see a yellow car, punch buggy. We say
- 1:21:56Speaker 3: yellow car instead of pdiddle.
- 1:21:58Speaker 7: Yea punch buggies to and only.
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: Ours is yeah, not like in the middle driving through
- 1:22:09Speaker 3: rough if you see the Volkswagen bug you say, like,
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: you know, punch buggy blue right, yeah, yeah yeah. Here's
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: an easy trivia question for Paul. The Patriots have played
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: in five Thanksgiving games. Can you name the year and
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: score it each of those games.
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: I'm not going to get the year, and I don't
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: know if I can get five. I remember they lost,
- 1:22:36Speaker 4: they lost twenty to seventeen in Dallas. I want to say,
- 1:22:39Speaker 4: like seventy.
- 1:22:40Speaker 3: Eight, eighty four, you got the score eighty four.
- 1:22:45Speaker 4: They lost thirty four to nine in Detroit. In two thousand, yes,
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: exactly right. Two thousand and two they beat Detroit. Teddy
- 1:22:58Speaker 4: Brewski picked six, kind of an odds became a linebacker
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: that day. I'll get back to that, Okay, So then
- 1:23:06Speaker 4: maybe like was it, I'm not going to get the scores.
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: They beat Detroit again like eight oh nine, ish ten ten,
- 1:23:14Speaker 4: Devin mccordy pick.
- 1:23:16Speaker 7: Butt fumble, butt fumble, they killed.
- 1:23:20Speaker 4: The butt fumble was a Thanksgiving game. That's when I
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: needed help from Mike. I would not have.
- 1:23:24Speaker 3: Gotten and then what we just did one right, so
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: twenty ten and then Minnesota forty five, twenty four, forty.
- 1:23:32Speaker 4: Five twenty four, I wouldn't have gotten the score.
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: And then twenty twelve. I guess that was the butt
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: Fromboo game. But yeah, that was like forty nine nineteen.
- 1:23:41Speaker 4: So then then Minnesota, Well he only has five six,
- 1:23:46Speaker 4: six because if there's three Detroit one, Dallas butt fumble jets,
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: this six because they played it was probably Mac Jones's
- 1:23:54Speaker 4: last good game.
- 1:23:54Speaker 7: You better get lost show you're gonna question Pp, But.
- 1:23:57Speaker 4: Am I right?
- 1:23:58Speaker 14: That was?
- 1:23:58Speaker 4: That was Thanksgiving?
- 1:23:59Speaker 3: Evans?
- 1:24:00Speaker 4: You remember at thanks at Minnesota a couple of years ago.
- 1:24:02Speaker 4: That was a Thanksgiving night game.
- 1:24:04Speaker 6: Sure was freend and I were there.
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: Yeah, guys, they.
- 1:24:10Speaker 4: I let you down, though I couldn't get those scores.
- 1:24:12Speaker 6: I do remember when they overturned Hunter Henry's touchdown. That
- 1:24:16Speaker 6: was absolutely a touchdown. Both him and I looked at
- 1:24:18Speaker 6: each other and we're not happy about that. I remember that.
- 1:24:21Speaker 3: All Right, Evans, here.
- 1:24:25Speaker 13: Has returned. Practice has returned, has returned.
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: All right, Evan, Before we get into it, did you
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: hear Alex van Pelt today disagree with you about what
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: about Pop Douglas about the route running.
- 1:24:47Speaker 6: The route running? Yeah, we've gotten three different answers about this.
- 1:24:53Speaker 6: Drake told us that he just missed the throw. Pop
- 1:24:56Speaker 6: told us that he was just running his route, and
- 1:24:58Speaker 6: now Van Pelt's telling us that Pop ran was running
- 1:25:01Speaker 6: his route, but ran the route at the wrong depth
- 1:25:03Speaker 6: and that's what led to the issue. So I'm gonna
- 1:25:07Speaker 6: just chalk this one up to you know what, they
- 1:25:10Speaker 6: just didn't hit this. Let it go, Yes, let it go,
- 1:25:13Speaker 6: exactly exactly.
- 1:25:17Speaker 4: What I was gonna let you finish, and then I
- 1:25:20Speaker 4: was going to tell him that what you were doing
- 1:25:22Speaker 4: with that smace, he was trying to that you up, yes, yes.
- 1:25:28Speaker 6: I'm over it.
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: I presented that it has nothing to do with you.
- 1:25:31Speaker 4: It was different than what players had told you.
- 1:25:35Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:25:35Speaker 4: I didn't even say the specific player that told you,
- 1:25:37Speaker 4: but it was Douglas.
- 1:25:39Speaker 6: We've got look, it's uh today again. Today somebody asked
- 1:25:44Speaker 6: Kendrick Bourne about adjusting routes to blitzes and things like that,
- 1:25:49Speaker 6: and he kind of gave a wishy washy answer. So
- 1:25:53Speaker 6: maybe they're trying to play it close to the vest
- 1:25:55Speaker 6: exactly how they deal with that kind of stuff. I'll
- 1:25:57Speaker 6: allow for that. It does concern me that they might
- 1:26:00Speaker 6: not know how they deal with it, and that piece
- 1:26:03Speaker 6: of it is concerning.
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: So and one more question. One of our callers asked
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: the question, do you think this is the right offense
- 1:26:12Speaker 3: for Drake May going forward?
- 1:26:14Speaker 6: Yeah, we're actually just talking about that a little bit
- 1:26:16Speaker 6: at practice as we were trying to just move on
- 1:26:21Speaker 6: from from Pop Douglas Slant Gate right and and move
- 1:26:24Speaker 6: on to the other things. And I think for right now,
- 1:26:29Speaker 6: I can see the benefits of Drake being in a
- 1:26:31Speaker 6: timing based offense like this, because it has helped improve
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: his footwork, whereas if he was in a more free
- 1:26:38Speaker 6: form offense that I don't know if he would have
- 1:26:40Speaker 6: gotten that structure and that regiment to get his footwork better.
- 1:26:44Speaker 6: But as time progresses, you know the fact that we're
- 1:26:46Speaker 6: talking about Douglas didn't run the route at the right
- 1:26:51Speaker 6: depth and then tied to Drake's drop, it threw off
- 1:26:54Speaker 6: the whole like all that kind of stuff. I'm not
- 1:26:56Speaker 6: sure that he's built for that ideally, Like I do
- 1:27:01Speaker 6: think there needs to be a little bit more ability
- 1:27:03Speaker 6: to color outside the lines and just kind of play
- 1:27:05Speaker 6: football then have it get bogged down in all this minutia.
- 1:27:09Speaker 6: But I do think it has been helpful for him
- 1:27:11Speaker 6: to get his footwork in order compared to what it
- 1:27:13Speaker 6: was in North Carolina.
- 1:27:14Speaker 3: Okay, all right, so now let's move on to practice.
- 1:27:18Speaker 4: What do you got?
- 1:27:19Speaker 6: Perfect attendance again on Wednesday?
- 1:27:20Speaker 3: So they're outdoors today.
- 1:27:22Speaker 6: Outdoors today, back outside pads, no shells, shells today and
- 1:27:28Speaker 6: uh practice with everybody was there, including Cold Strange, Gabriel Peppers,
- 1:27:34Speaker 6: all the particulars. So yeah, it was uneventful. I have
- 1:27:38Speaker 6: to admit other than us arguing about sans arguing. I
- 1:27:43Speaker 6: wouldn't say arguing. It was more just like everybody's kind
- 1:27:46Speaker 6: of confused, you know, like we're getting all these different
- 1:27:48Speaker 6: answers from different people, so we're just trying to make
- 1:27:51Speaker 6: straight of what's going on.
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: Okay, So whether for the game coming up is going
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: to be what chili chili?
- 1:27:59Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: So good that they practice, you know, now they're in
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: the lower field right.
- 1:28:04Speaker 6: Still, yeah, upper is off limits right now, is being reading.
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: Yeah, it's kind of tough time, you know, playing grass, right.
- 1:28:12Speaker 7: I don't know. Evan's never he's probably the wrong person.
- 1:28:15Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true. That's true.
- 1:28:16Speaker 6: That's fair, That's totally fair.
- 1:28:20Speaker 3: Any indication because you know, before you got here, we
- 1:28:23Speaker 3: had a lot of talk about Cold Strange it's center. Yeah,
- 1:28:26Speaker 3: any indications about that and yeah, or that he might
- 1:28:29Speaker 3: even play at all.
- 1:28:30Speaker 6: Yeah, I think it's trending towards Laden Robinson getting back
- 1:28:34Speaker 6: in at left guard and not Cold Strange. I thought
- 1:28:36Speaker 6: maybe Cold Strange. He's played left guard in college in
- 1:28:40Speaker 6: the pros, so it's kind of like riding a bike.
- 1:28:42Speaker 6: I would think for him to some extent to get
- 1:28:44Speaker 6: back out there and play that spot. Even though he's
- 1:28:46Speaker 6: been practicing at center. So right now, I thought Ben
- 1:28:50Speaker 6: Brown has been serviceable. He's certainly not like a standout
- 1:28:54Speaker 6: center by any means, but I don't think that he's
- 1:28:57Speaker 6: been the problem either on their offensive line. Clearly they
- 1:29:00Speaker 6: thought Michael Jordan was a big part of the problem.
- 1:29:03Speaker 6: So I look at left guard as the spot right
- 1:29:05Speaker 6: now that if they were going to make a change,
- 1:29:07Speaker 6: well they are that that's going to be, it would
- 1:29:11Speaker 6: be there, it would be not center, but we'll see.
- 1:29:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that's interesting. Mike talked about that a
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: little bit because I think we all felt Jordan's release yesterday.
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: You know, probably cold, strange we get activated, but maybe
- 1:29:27Speaker 4: even if he's activated to be at center.
- 1:29:29Speaker 6: Yeah, they really like Laden Robinson, and I think we're
- 1:29:32Speaker 6: at the point of the season now where he's gonna
- 1:29:35Speaker 6: make some rookie mistakes and he's gonna have some bad
- 1:29:37Speaker 6: reps and things like that. But you got to develop
- 1:29:40Speaker 6: some of these young players and give some of these
- 1:29:42Speaker 6: guys some opportunities, and I think that's where they're headed
- 1:29:45Speaker 6: right now with Leyden.
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: With tomorrow being off for the team, Yes, was there
- 1:29:50Speaker 3: a big sense of relief from the media.
- 1:29:54Speaker 6: No, because it was predictable. I would say in some
- 1:29:57Speaker 6: respects this is usually how it works. But a lot
- 1:30:00Speaker 6: of talk about you know, Thanksgiving today and where you're
- 1:30:04Speaker 6: going and all that kind of stuff, and it is,
- 1:30:08Speaker 6: you know, the players, it's hard for them because they
- 1:30:10Speaker 6: all their families are all scattered all over the country
- 1:30:13Speaker 6: and so a lot of those guys are are you know,
- 1:30:16Speaker 6: doing Thanksgiving together or the.
- 1:30:18Speaker 3: Past Lawrence guy would have a bunch of guys over anybody,
- 1:30:21Speaker 3: you know taking that over for the team.
- 1:30:23Speaker 6: I haven't heard that, but I I would expect, you know,
- 1:30:26Speaker 6: some pockets of you know gatherings.
- 1:30:28Speaker 9: I know there's some guys going to uh I think
- 1:30:31Speaker 9: a local shelter meals.
- 1:30:33Speaker 6: Yeah. I did hear some some community stuff potentially.
- 1:30:36Speaker 3: That's nice. Yeah, that is nice. Okay, anything else that
- 1:30:40Speaker 3: you want to uh No, Like.
- 1:30:42Speaker 6: I said, it was pretty uneventful. We got back out
- 1:30:44Speaker 6: there for one period of positional drills and uh they
- 1:30:48Speaker 6: hit the offensive line. They didn't get information or anything
- 1:30:52Speaker 6: like that to show, you know what what group they're
- 1:30:54Speaker 6: going to roll with. So maybe on Friday it.
- 1:30:56Speaker 4: Was but guard there he was not.
- 1:30:58Speaker 6: I didn't see him the other day though. What was
- 1:31:00Speaker 6: that yesterday that he was here.
- 1:31:01Speaker 3: Yeah, he said something last night that I thought was unfair. Okay,
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: did you see the early edition on the NBC Sports Boston.
- 1:31:09Speaker 6: I did not know.
- 1:31:11Speaker 3: He was talking about how Girard they're talking about, you know,
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: what's the culture, and how Girard said it's gonna I'm
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: probably not going to be able to establish a culture
- 1:31:19Speaker 3: in year one. Yeah, and he said do you think
- 1:31:21Speaker 3: Bill Parcells said that when he got here? It's like
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: he's comparing Girod Mayo to a guy who won already
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: two Super Bowls, has been you know, a head coach
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: for a while, and you know, like, yeah, Parcels can
- 1:31:33Speaker 3: establish a culture from day one because he's got credibility.
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: So I thought it was an unfair comparison.
- 1:31:40Speaker 6: That's fair. I did hear him make that comparison on
- 1:31:42Speaker 6: the radio with his shows yesterday.
- 1:31:44Speaker 3: Maybe that's where I heard it.
- 1:31:45Speaker 4: Maybe it was I agree with you, I mean, why
- 1:31:48Speaker 4: are we comparing him to Parcels?
- 1:31:49Speaker 13: Right?
- 1:31:50Speaker 4: You know, I don't necessarily understand why you can't establish
- 1:31:54Speaker 4: a culture or away the groundwork for a culture, but
- 1:31:57Speaker 4: but were comparing him to Parcels.
- 1:31:59Speaker 3: I think he was just being honest it's probably gonna
- 1:32:01Speaker 3: take me a while before I can, like, you try,
- 1:32:04Speaker 3: but it's going to take a while because you got
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: to get your guys and and all that stuff. So
- 1:32:09Speaker 3: I just thought that was unfair.
- 1:32:10Speaker 7: Are you on your shows today?
- 1:32:12Speaker 4: I am not on my show today. I'm on my
- 1:32:14Speaker 4: show on Friday with Fred will be making fun of
- 1:32:16Speaker 4: my Thanksgiving talk.
- 1:32:17Speaker 6: Evidently, Oh that was another thing from practice. No barth
- 1:32:21Speaker 6: today because he's on Paul's shows an update.
- 1:32:26Speaker 3: So you know Barthews, Yeah, I should have been on that.
- 1:32:29Speaker 6: He usually reads off the numbers and I check him
- 1:32:32Speaker 6: off on the on the roster. So I'm looking around
- 1:32:34Speaker 6: and I'm like, oh, no, he's not here. What am
- 1:32:36Speaker 6: I gonna do? So I got some help from some
- 1:32:38Speaker 6: other people that were.
- 1:32:40Speaker 3: I couldn't go off. Is that the media roster or
- 1:32:43Speaker 3: the team roster?
- 1:32:44Speaker 6: Okay, days like today, you do take note of who's
- 1:32:52Speaker 6: really the diehards?
- 1:32:53Speaker 9: You know, Well, it's the biggest drinking night of the years.
- 1:32:55Speaker 4: Wants it? Who wants Friday to Friday?
- 1:32:59Speaker 6: Here another one?
- 1:33:00Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, it's that time of the week.
- 1:33:03Speaker 19: Oh, here we go.
- 1:33:04Speaker 20: The best part of the show, the sharps. Now it's
- 1:33:08Speaker 20: really three be because the rat home. Will temper ever
- 1:33:11Speaker 20: play a game on the road, separate the boys from
- 1:33:14Speaker 20: the man.
- 1:33:15Speaker 3: We get the block of the week.
- 1:33:17Speaker 20: We again, this is the song until chill makes a
- 1:33:21Speaker 20: real one?
- 1:33:22Speaker 4: Is that up?
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: We gotta.
- 1:33:26Speaker 4: So what you do?
- 1:33:27Speaker 3: Tell a I do a green day? Looks like green day? Right,
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: I've done disco, I've done rock. You don't like those.
- 1:33:34Speaker 4: I like the disco one better, but you know I
- 1:33:36Speaker 4: like disco.
- 1:33:37Speaker 7: Let's try and do a country one next, fever guy, Paul, Yes,
- 1:33:42Speaker 7: you know that I love.
- 1:33:45Speaker 9: I love.
- 1:33:46Speaker 3: You can tell by the way I do my picks.
- 1:33:48Speaker 6: I gotta feeling.
- 1:33:49Speaker 3: I'll delete all right.
- 1:33:52Speaker 4: Thursday, A full slate on all land.
- 1:33:56Speaker 3: Thursday games.
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: Okay, hold on, that's right, Alex and Evan, we got
- 1:34:04Speaker 4: to give the flowers. Fred Yeah, Alex nine and four,
- 1:34:07Speaker 4: we're on fire, nine and FO, Paul eight and five,
- 1:34:12Speaker 4: Mike and Fred seven and six. Here's where the problems come.
- 1:34:17Speaker 4: Paul was eight and five with the spread. Alex and
- 1:34:22Speaker 4: Evan were six and seven, Mike was five and eight,
- 1:34:26Speaker 4: and Fred Freddy three and ten. Freddy's that's the leader.
- 1:34:33Speaker 3: I had a similar week to the Patriots, so the.
- 1:34:37Speaker 4: Overall leader remains Evan one, eighteen and sixty one, Alex
- 1:34:41Speaker 4: and Paul tied at one fifteen and sixty four, Fred
- 1:34:44Speaker 4: one twelve and sixty seven and Mike one ten and
- 1:34:48Speaker 4: sixty nine. You get the poop e motion. Uh. The
- 1:34:53Speaker 4: spread leader, however, and a ironic twist of fate is
- 1:34:57Speaker 4: Mike at ninety eight seventy eight and three, which still
- 1:35:01Speaker 4: makes no sense. Uh. Paul and Evan are tied at
- 1:35:04Speaker 4: ninety six eighty and three. I'm tied for second in
- 1:35:08Speaker 4: both Fred ninety five eighty one and three and Alex
- 1:35:13Speaker 4: ninety two eighty four and three.
- 1:35:16Speaker 7: Again, people making money.
- 1:35:18Speaker 3: Make all making money in making an argument for entertainment
- 1:35:22Speaker 3: purposes only, of course.
- 1:35:24Speaker 4: All right, so full slate the game all together, all
- 1:35:28Speaker 4: sixteen teams, sixteen games, only.
- 1:35:30Speaker 3: One of them good, but whatever. Twelve thirty on CBS,
- 1:35:35Speaker 3: the four and seven Bears are at the ten and
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: one Lions Dutoits by ten ten points.
- 1:35:45Speaker 7: Yeah, I think I'm gonna go with Detroit in this one.
- 1:35:47Speaker 7: Just feels like, you know, I know, Chicago's been a
- 1:35:50Speaker 7: little bit better since the change, but I'm going to
- 1:35:52Speaker 7: go Detroit blowdoors first game, kicking things off on Thanksgiving.
- 1:35:56Speaker 7: Only the points all ten of them.
- 1:35:58Speaker 9: Yeah me too. Troit at home, I like them to cover.
- 1:36:02Speaker 6: Yeah, the Bears have looked a little bit better. But
- 1:36:04Speaker 6: some of it, I would say is Caleb just making
- 1:36:07Speaker 6: plays was unbelievable. Yeah, I don't know how much of
- 1:36:11Speaker 6: that was. Like the scheme is so much better and
- 1:36:14Speaker 6: just Caleb doing Caleb things. I don't think that holds
- 1:36:16Speaker 6: up against the Lions. So I'm gonna take Lions both ways.
- 1:36:19Speaker 4: Yeah, and I did see one thing in overtime. He
- 1:36:22Speaker 4: took a horrendous sack which basically kind of ended the
- 1:36:25Speaker 4: game for them. But he is he is playing better
- 1:36:29Speaker 4: the last couple of weeks. I will lay the points
- 1:36:31Speaker 4: because I think Detroit and the National Window will look
- 1:36:34Speaker 4: to win by as many as they can.
- 1:36:35Speaker 3: Yeah, me too, Detroit both ways. Okay, four thirty on
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: Fox in Fox Deportes, the two and nine Giants are
- 1:36:44Speaker 3: at the four and seven Cowboys.
- 1:36:46Speaker 4: Nap Oh yeah, Dallas by three and a half.
- 1:36:51Speaker 7: Man, this is a tough one. Uh, two bad teams.
- 1:36:55Speaker 7: I'm gonna just I'm gonna go with the Dallas the
- 1:36:57Speaker 7: home team in this one, and I'll lay the points.
- 1:37:00Speaker 7: But I don't feel great about it.
- 1:37:03Speaker 9: Yeah, I really hope I'm eating during this game, bad turkey.
- 1:37:09Speaker 9: I'll take the Cowboys. I'm just gonna go with the
- 1:37:12Speaker 9: Sharps here.
- 1:37:14Speaker 6: There's no way we could have flexed this game out.
- 1:37:18Speaker 6: I have done something about this. I'm definitely going with Dallas.
- 1:37:22Speaker 6: I said it last week. I think the decision to
- 1:37:25Speaker 6: Janner Jones might have lost Brian Dable the locker room
- 1:37:28Speaker 6: and his job there in New York. And they played
- 1:37:30Speaker 6: like it last weekend, blown out. So I'm going to
- 1:37:32Speaker 6: go at Dallas.
- 1:37:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I am going to take the Cowboys, but I
- 1:37:36Speaker 4: will take the points. I'll take the hook. Two bad teams, Fred,
- 1:37:42Speaker 4: I'll go with the home team. So I will take
- 1:37:43Speaker 4: Dallas to win the game. But I think the Giants
- 1:37:46Speaker 4: bounce back a little bit. It sounds like Devido might
- 1:37:48Speaker 4: not be able to play, which I think works in
- 1:37:50Speaker 4: the giants favor. If Drew Locke plays, well, give me
- 1:37:53Speaker 4: the hook.
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna go with the Cowboys both ways. Jerry
- 1:37:57Speaker 3: Jones actually said he doesn't rule out an extension like MacArthur. Sure,
- 1:38:02Speaker 3: I think that GM speak, but whatever, all right, eight
- 1:38:06Speaker 3: twenty on Thanksgiving Night, NBC, Telemundo Universo, The five and
- 1:38:13Speaker 3: six Dolphins are at the eight and three Packers.
- 1:38:17Speaker 4: Green Bay by three and a half.
- 1:38:19Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:38:19Speaker 7: I was kind of mad at myself last week for
- 1:38:21Speaker 7: going away from green Bay at home as good as
- 1:38:23Speaker 7: Miami looked, I'm gonna go with the home team. A
- 1:38:27Speaker 7: little bit of weather, Lambeau. I like Miami in this
- 1:38:30Speaker 7: game is allay the points. I don't know, but it
- 1:38:32Speaker 7: seems like say that.
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: If you don't know, maybe you just assume a little
- 1:38:37Speaker 3: bit of weather.
- 1:38:37Speaker 4: Are you guys were talking about the weather last weekend
- 1:38:39Speaker 4: at Cleveland game.
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: I'm just gonna right, that was a huge factor. Yeah,
- 1:38:44Speaker 3: I mean if it's gonna.
- 1:38:45Speaker 4: St Yeah, and I just blew it off. Yep, cost
- 1:38:50Speaker 4: myself a win to Packers. Packers, uh thirty degrees, Yeah,
- 1:38:56Speaker 4: so degrees.
- 1:38:57Speaker 6: I'm gonna go with the Packers both ways too, because
- 1:39:00Speaker 6: this is the type of game that Miami has not won.
- 1:39:03Speaker 6: It's outside physical football team, like if they they have
- 1:39:08Speaker 6: not won this game since Mike McDaniel has taken over,
- 1:39:11Speaker 6: and I don't think they do.
- 1:39:12Speaker 4: Yeah, same thing they ever just said.
- 1:39:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna go with the Packers as well. All right.
- 1:39:17Speaker 3: Black Friday game, three o'clock on Prime Video. The two
- 1:39:22Speaker 3: and nine Raiders are at the ten and one Chiefs.
- 1:39:26Speaker 7: Chiefs by twelve twelve, all right, Aidan O'Connell.
- 1:39:31Speaker 6: Yeah, for the year, Yeah, right, son.
- 1:39:35Speaker 4: I don't think they've made a decision. I think it
- 1:39:36Speaker 4: could be Desmond Ritter as well.
- 1:39:39Speaker 7: I mean, I know probably what Paul's gonna do, and
- 1:39:41Speaker 7: I know Kansas City hasnt been great with covering. They
- 1:39:43Speaker 7: bit me in the butt last week for it. But
- 1:39:45Speaker 7: I just I can't do it at home in this
- 1:39:48Speaker 7: kind of situation. I'm going to take Kansas City and
- 1:39:49Speaker 7: I'm gonna lay the twelve.
- 1:39:52Speaker 6: Sounds like it's going to be O'Connell, but that's just the.
- 1:39:56Speaker 4: He beat them in this spot last year on Christmas.
- 1:40:00Speaker 7: Yea even more reason in Kansas City revenge. They're not
- 1:40:03Speaker 7: going to sleep on this kid. Chief Chiefs they know
- 1:40:06Speaker 7: take it serious.
- 1:40:07Speaker 6: They're sharps and they know I'm gonna take the Chiefs,
- 1:40:10Speaker 6: but I'm gonna take Vegas to cover that spread. The
- 1:40:12Speaker 6: Chiefs have not been covering spread. You guys were gonna
- 1:40:16Speaker 6: last week against Carolina, so you only win by a
- 1:40:18Speaker 6: field goal? I mean that, what do we do and
- 1:40:20Speaker 6: come back to us Kansas City?
- 1:40:21Speaker 4: So some of us picked it and I will be
- 1:40:24Speaker 4: with it. And again, I just the Chiefs haven't covered
- 1:40:29Speaker 4: any of these spreads all year. You know me, I'm
- 1:40:32Speaker 4: a slave to the trends, Mike. I'll take Kansas City
- 1:40:35Speaker 4: to win the game, but I will take the twelve points, folks.
- 1:40:40Speaker 4: No pause, No, I'm.
- 1:40:43Speaker 3: Gonna go with the chief Chiefs both ways in this game.
- 1:40:46Speaker 3: I just think the Raiders they don't want to win, right, Yeah,
- 1:40:51Speaker 3: so I think that's part of it too. All right,
- 1:40:53Speaker 3: Now we move on to December. Now we move on
- 1:40:56Speaker 3: to Sunday, December first.
- 1:40:58Speaker 4: I like the way you're sounding.
- 1:41:00Speaker 3: We do move on December one o'clock on CBS. The
- 1:41:05Speaker 3: seven and four Chargers are at the six and five Falcons.
- 1:41:10Speaker 4: The Lack by two and a half.
- 1:41:13Speaker 7: Two and a half tough loss there for the Lack
- 1:41:17Speaker 7: to the Ravens. You know what, I've been going all
- 1:41:19Speaker 7: home teams. I still don't believe in Atlanta. I'm gonna go.
- 1:41:22Speaker 7: I'm gonna go with the Lack on the road and
- 1:41:24Speaker 7: I'll lay the points.
- 1:41:25Speaker 9: Retweet.
- 1:41:27Speaker 6: It's a tough one. These are two teams I don't trust.
- 1:41:29Speaker 6: I don't trust either of these teams. We we did
- 1:41:31Speaker 6: get the Chargers not being up for the big dogs though.
- 1:41:34Speaker 6: We got that right, Paul So last week. So I'm
- 1:41:36Speaker 6: gonna say the Chargers win this game and they cover.
- 1:41:40Speaker 6: But I don't know what to take of either of
- 1:41:42Speaker 6: these teams right now.
- 1:41:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree. I'm going to take Atlanta at home
- 1:41:50Speaker 4: to bounce back. I just I don't think that they've
- 1:41:53Speaker 4: been great. I think Chargers are probably better, but I'm
- 1:41:58Speaker 4: gonna take the Falcons at home.
- 1:42:00Speaker 3: Yeah, folks, this is your upset of the.
- 1:42:05Speaker 4: Week, Okay, Atlanta, Atlanta wins. Okay, so I need to
- 1:42:09Speaker 4: make note of that.
- 1:42:14Speaker 3: Yeah, there's your asterisk. All right, one o'clock CBS. The
- 1:42:18Speaker 3: eight and three Steelers are at the four and seven Bengals.
- 1:42:21Speaker 4: Bengals by three.
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: You at the money line?
- 1:42:24Speaker 4: I'd you not have the money line.
- 1:42:26Speaker 3: I don't know what that is anyway, So it doesn't matter.
- 1:42:29Speaker 4: You just got the money line. You just need a winner.
- 1:42:33Speaker 6: Money line is Pittsburgh PA up.
- 1:42:36Speaker 4: Pittsburgh plus one thirty.
- 1:42:37Speaker 3: That means if Pittsburgh win thirty, I win one hundred
- 1:42:40Speaker 3: and thirty.
- 1:42:41Speaker 4: I think you've got one hundred.
- 1:42:41Speaker 3: To win one hundred win. Yeah, so what if I lose?
- 1:42:45Speaker 3: You lose?
- 1:42:47Speaker 4: I just said, you've got one hundred to one hundred
- 1:42:49Speaker 4: and thirty.
- 1:42:50Speaker 7: If you lose, you'll lose a hundred, you lose two hundred.
- 1:42:53Speaker 4: Need I need a drink?
- 1:42:55Speaker 9: Why are you even putting the pepsi away? If you
- 1:42:57Speaker 9: don't have the whole leader.
- 1:42:58Speaker 7: Breaking out of the leader like fourteen year old.
- 1:43:01Speaker 3: Kid in his like getting out of a coffee.
- 1:43:03Speaker 4: Why don't you just go your just get a big straw.
- 1:43:07Speaker 3: I need a drink.
- 1:43:08Speaker 6: He calls out a two liters. Great, that's a.
- 1:43:12Speaker 9: Good gift for Paul for a secret Santa when we
- 1:43:14Speaker 9: do it a giant straw.
- 1:43:16Speaker 8: Oh.
- 1:43:16Speaker 7: I thought you were like one of those helmets with
- 1:43:18Speaker 7: the I'm not doing Secret Santa.
- 1:43:20Speaker 4: Oh a yank Yankee swah Yankee.
- 1:43:25Speaker 6: We do yankeewis it was bringing the jersey Mike skift.
- 1:43:28Speaker 4: Mike, you saw my panic. I have to buy for
- 1:43:30Speaker 4: someone individually, No, no.
- 1:43:32Speaker 6: Right, uh, sailor.
- 1:43:34Speaker 7: You know, I think a lot of us are are
- 1:43:35Speaker 7: kind of like not believing in Pittsburgh still and and
- 1:43:38Speaker 7: kind of just want them to lose. And I'm one
- 1:43:40Speaker 7: of them. So I'm going to go with Cincy at
- 1:43:42Speaker 7: Home with Joe Burrow. I seven great statistical year at least,
- 1:43:46Speaker 7: so i'll anybody own this series.
- 1:43:49Speaker 4: Uh, I would assume Pittsburgh since they're always good and
- 1:43:53Speaker 4: Cincinnati is always bad. But I don't know you picked Cincinnati.
- 1:43:57Speaker 19: I did.
- 1:43:57Speaker 7: I'm going to lay the points.
- 1:43:59Speaker 3: What was the spread?
- 1:44:00Speaker 4: Three? Cincinnati by three.
- 1:44:02Speaker 9: I'm going to take the home team to win. I
- 1:44:05Speaker 9: think it could be a close ish game, though, so
- 1:44:07Speaker 9: I'll I'll give the Steelers the hook.
- 1:44:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:44:12Speaker 6: Yeah, So Burrow Hass lost three out of his last
- 1:44:15Speaker 6: four to Pittsburgh. I lost both games last year. I
- 1:44:20Speaker 6: picked the Steelers to win and got burned by Cleveland
- 1:44:23Speaker 6: last week. And just when I started to try rust Pittsburgh,
- 1:44:26Speaker 6: they burned me. So I'm just in the pickle. I'm
- 1:44:30Speaker 6: gonna take Pittsburgh. I think they bounce back.
- 1:44:34Speaker 4: So I do think this is an interesting spread. Four
- 1:44:36Speaker 4: and seven favored over eight and three. The Sharps know something.
- 1:44:39Speaker 4: I am gonna go with the Sharps. I'm gonna take
- 1:44:42Speaker 4: Cincinnati saying that they know something.
- 1:44:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm with you, Paul. The Sharps know something in
- 1:44:48Speaker 3: this game. I don't know what it is, but something
- 1:44:51Speaker 3: they know somebody's gonna win.
- 1:44:54Speaker 4: They know by about three.
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: There is something and they know it. Three point they
- 1:44:59Speaker 3: know it, so very very intrigued by that spread. All right,
- 1:45:04Speaker 3: one o'clock on Fox, the seven and five Texans are
- 1:45:08Speaker 3: at the two and nine Jaguars.
- 1:45:10Speaker 4: Houston by four and a half, suddenly reeling Hue, Bobby
- 1:45:14Speaker 4: Slowik on the hot seats, C. J.
- 1:45:16Speaker 7: Stroud sophomore BB killing them BB obviously.
- 1:45:21Speaker 6: Oh yeah, William, team that has talent he doesn't like.
- 1:45:25Speaker 4: I was kind of surprised because, I mean, you can
- 1:45:26Speaker 4: get a quarterback and a lot of good players and
- 1:45:28Speaker 4: get good that way if you want, but there's really
- 1:45:30Speaker 4: not much coaching involved in that.
- 1:45:32Speaker 3: Paul. The people on your shows rooting for the two
- 1:45:34Speaker 3: win teams to win.
- 1:45:36Speaker 4: On my shows, yeah, I don't know if they have
- 1:45:40Speaker 4: mean for the draft pick.
- 1:45:41Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm gonna take Houston to win, but I want
- 1:45:44Speaker 7: to take the points. I'm gonna say it's a close game.
- 1:45:46Speaker 7: I'll take Jacksonville plus four.
- 1:45:49Speaker 4: That's how much.
- 1:45:50Speaker 3: It does.
- 1:45:50Speaker 6: Sound like Trevor is back at practice, so it could
- 1:45:53Speaker 6: be his back practice, but I don't know if he's
- 1:45:57Speaker 6: playing on Sunday. But it just sounds like he's getting healthier.
- 1:46:01Speaker 6: That's it. That's all I got.
- 1:46:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I got screwed last week. If I
- 1:46:06Speaker 3: had known Perty wasn't playing, I would not have picked
- 1:46:08Speaker 3: the forty nine.
- 1:46:09Speaker 4: Me too, I got screwed on that.
- 1:46:10Speaker 3: I did too.
- 1:46:11Speaker 7: I did the same time.
- 1:46:12Speaker 3: I was thinking of calling when I heard about it
- 1:46:15Speaker 3: on Fridays.
- 1:46:17Speaker 4: But at the same time, I had no idea that
- 1:46:20Speaker 4: Perty wasn't playing and his.
- 1:46:21Speaker 6: Defense party did get hurt at practice on like Thursday.
- 1:46:24Speaker 4: Night, no idea was playing. I picked the Packers.
- 1:46:28Speaker 6: You could have just had a feel for the league.
- 1:46:30Speaker 9: Your fault will Houston Houston. I need to know for
- 1:46:34Speaker 9: sure that Trevor's playing to have any faith in the
- 1:46:36Speaker 9: Jaguars even coming close to covering. So sorry, Mac Johones.
- 1:46:42Speaker 6: There's some optimism it says for Trevor to play in
- 1:46:45Speaker 6: this game. But I'm gonna go with Houston too. I
- 1:46:47Speaker 6: do think they bounced back a little bit, kind of
- 1:46:50Speaker 6: some flukiness from that game last week. It was a
- 1:46:52Speaker 6: weird one. So I got Houston.
- 1:46:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm taking Houston both ways too. If I knew
- 1:46:56Speaker 4: that Lawrence was healthy, I would do the Mike do
- 1:46:59Speaker 4: so take the points. But if Mac Jones plays, you
- 1:47:04Speaker 4: don't believe.
- 1:47:04Speaker 7: In the Mac all of a sudden.
- 1:47:05Speaker 4: Okay, fine, yeah, I'm gonna go. Well, that's funny, he's
- 1:47:09Speaker 4: not in the Patriots anymore, so you no longer believe
- 1:47:11Speaker 4: in him.
- 1:47:12Speaker 3: Right if they didn't break them, I'm gonna go with
- 1:47:14Speaker 3: Houston as well. One o'clock on Fox, the six and
- 1:47:18Speaker 3: five Cardinals are at the nine to two Vikings. We'll
- 1:47:22Speaker 3: see if the Cardinals are looking ahead to our game too.
- 1:47:25Speaker 3: From now.
- 1:47:28Speaker 4: Minnesota by three and a half.
- 1:47:30Speaker 7: Hmmmmm, that's an interesting spread, I think too.
- 1:47:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:47:36Speaker 7: I was on the Arizona train last week and I
- 1:47:39Speaker 7: feel like I'm getting off of it pretty quick. But
- 1:47:41Speaker 7: I'll take Minnesota at home. I'll lay the points.
- 1:47:44Speaker 9: Same thing.
- 1:47:47Speaker 6: I do want to take my Cardinals. But to prevail
- 1:47:51Speaker 6: your Cardinals, oh yeah, I haven't liked that's my team.
- 1:47:55Speaker 6: But I'm gonna take the Vikings. They did. The win
- 1:47:57Speaker 6: last week for Minnesota was almost an epic loss, so
- 1:48:01Speaker 6: I'm a little worried about them. They're kind of reeling
- 1:48:03Speaker 6: a little bit there. But I'll take Minnesota.
- 1:48:07Speaker 4: I'm going to take Minnesota at home, but I will
- 1:48:11Speaker 4: take the points. If Arizona to bounce back, I'll take
- 1:48:14Speaker 4: the hook.
- 1:48:14Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I'm doing. I'm hedging my bet there.
- 1:48:16Speaker 3: I'm taking those points. But Vikings win. One o'clock on Fox.
- 1:48:21Speaker 3: The six and five Seahawks are at the three and
- 1:48:23Speaker 3: eight Jets Seattle by two.
- 1:48:28Speaker 7: Oh boy, Yeah, you know. I usually love Seattle at home,
- 1:48:32Speaker 7: but I think they'll travel. Okay, this this Jets team,
- 1:48:35Speaker 7: I just I don't believe in it. I'll take Seattle.
- 1:48:37Speaker 7: I'll lay the points and the point and a half.
- 1:48:39Speaker 4: That's all we said. One point five two.
- 1:48:43Speaker 6: This is a ten and a ten am bodyclock game,
- 1:48:46Speaker 6: which always worries me a little bit.
- 1:48:48Speaker 7: But they're they're a morning team.
- 1:48:50Speaker 6: But I'm gonna take Seattle because I think they're just better.
- 1:48:53Speaker 4: So I can't believe I'm doing it. You're gonna do
- 1:48:57Speaker 4: I'm just gonna take the Jets at home. I don't
- 1:49:03Speaker 4: think there's much difference between these two teams, and if
- 1:49:05Speaker 4: the Jets play hard, I think that they are probably
- 1:49:08Speaker 4: better than Seattle. At some point. They have to play hard,
- 1:49:11Speaker 4: don't they. Yeah, but I think that I'm gonna take
- 1:49:14Speaker 4: the Jets.
- 1:49:15Speaker 3: I hear what you're saying, but I'm not taking the
- 1:49:18Speaker 3: Seahawks because I just think Rogers can be stopped. I
- 1:49:20Speaker 3: think he's limited and whether it's just age or injury,
- 1:49:25Speaker 3: ad he just can't do it. So I'm gonna go.
- 1:49:30Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with the Seahawks. There one o'clock CBS.
- 1:49:34Speaker 3: The three and eight Titans are at the seven and
- 1:49:37Speaker 3: five Commanders, Washington by five and a half.
- 1:49:41Speaker 7: Cool Ah, It's an interesting game. I think. I'm not
- 1:49:46Speaker 7: sure I saw Levis doing what he did last week,
- 1:49:49Speaker 7: So I'm gonna take Washington to win. But I'm gonna
- 1:49:53Speaker 7: take those points for Tennessee. I think it's with Levis
- 1:49:55Speaker 7: hangs him in.
- 1:49:56Speaker 9: There, Commanders lay the points.
- 1:50:02Speaker 6: Yeah, IM gonna split it like Deuce the Commanders. The
- 1:50:05Speaker 6: Cliff Kingsbury second half of the season thing is happening
- 1:50:09Speaker 6: again with their offense that Cliff Kingsbury gets figured out
- 1:50:12Speaker 6: at this by this time of year. So I don't
- 1:50:15Speaker 6: know what's going on with with that, if it's Jaydon
- 1:50:17Speaker 6: Daniels related or what. But I'm gonna take Commanders to win,
- 1:50:21Speaker 6: Titans to cover.
- 1:50:21Speaker 4: I'm gonna take Washington both ways. I did see the
- 1:50:25Speaker 4: chart of the Kingsbury thing.
- 1:50:27Speaker 6: Like all the way back to Texas Tech.
- 1:50:29Speaker 4: This is the thing that I think this particular version
- 1:50:32Speaker 4: has more to do with Washington just doesn't really have
- 1:50:35Speaker 4: a whole lot of talent. They have McLaurin, and that's
- 1:50:37Speaker 4: kind of it in terms of his weapons.
- 1:50:40Speaker 3: But it's the Titan.
- 1:50:43Speaker 4: I'm gonna yeah, I'm gonna this is more of an
- 1:50:45Speaker 4: anti Titans pick. I'm gonna take Washington. I will talk
- 1:50:48Speaker 4: about reeling note.
- 1:50:49Speaker 3: I will I will take the points. I will take
- 1:50:52Speaker 3: the points.
- 1:50:53Speaker 6: I was thinking about that with the Commander's points. They
- 1:50:55Speaker 6: don't really have a ton of talent and they were
- 1:50:57Speaker 6: kind of overachieving. And now I wonder if it's coming.
- 1:50:59Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, Now we skip over the Patriots at
- 1:51:02Speaker 3: one o'clock and we moved to four oh five on Fox,
- 1:51:05Speaker 3: the five and six Buccaneers with Baker Mayfield against Baking
- 1:51:10Speaker 3: three and eight Panthers, Tampa by six.
- 1:51:17Speaker 7: Another interesting one. I'm gonna take Tampa to win, but
- 1:51:21Speaker 7: obviously Carolina's showing a little spark here down the end.
- 1:51:24Speaker 7: Funny happens, Bryce Young maybe putting it together. I'm gonna
- 1:51:28Speaker 7: take the points.
- 1:51:29Speaker 4: For Carolina Tampa.
- 1:51:30Speaker 7: I'm to say they play another close game in the division.
- 1:51:32Speaker 4: But they points.
- 1:51:34Speaker 9: I'm gonna split it the same way.
- 1:51:38Speaker 6: Yeah, Tampa wins Carolina covers Bryce Young. It looks like
- 1:51:42Speaker 6: he might have turned the corner here a little bit.
- 1:51:45Speaker 7: That touchdown I want to throw its like whoa mustard?
- 1:51:47Speaker 6: Looks much better.
- 1:51:48Speaker 4: He has played better, you know. I'm not sure what
- 1:51:51Speaker 4: his long term you know, ceiling is, but he has
- 1:51:54Speaker 4: played better since he came back, which is something that
- 1:51:57Speaker 4: we talked about the whole like, you can't play Drake
- 1:52:00Speaker 4: may because then you can't take him out, Like, no,
- 1:52:03Speaker 4: you can. You can play him and he can play
- 1:52:05Speaker 4: poorly and you can take him out, have a timeout.
- 1:52:07Speaker 4: Doesn't necessarily mean that this life is over. He can
- 1:52:09Speaker 4: come back.
- 1:52:10Speaker 6: I mean the Colts are doing the same thing with
- 1:52:11Speaker 6: Anthony Richardson, and I mean he didn't play well last week,
- 1:52:14Speaker 6: but he had a really good game against the Jets
- 1:52:16Speaker 6: and almost won that game.
- 1:52:17Speaker 4: So I will take Tampa. I'm gonna lay the points.
- 1:52:19Speaker 4: I think too much offense. I think they can run
- 1:52:21Speaker 4: the ball on Carolina. Too much offense.
- 1:52:24Speaker 3: I'm gonna take the Panthers both ways.
- 1:52:26Speaker 4: Wow, that's not gonna be your upset.
- 1:52:29Speaker 6: It's not a lot.
- 1:52:30Speaker 4: You're not a lot. You're not feeling about that though.
- 1:52:33Speaker 3: I see I see three interceptions in Baker may Field's future.
- 1:52:37Speaker 4: Well, that's that's because the day, end of day, that's
- 1:52:40Speaker 4: that's that's big, make.
- 1:52:41Speaker 6: The league and turnover worthy players right now.
- 1:52:43Speaker 3: So Panthers with the big upset four o five on Fox.
- 1:52:47Speaker 3: The five and six Rams are at the four and
- 1:52:50Speaker 3: seven Saints.
- 1:52:51Speaker 4: The Lar by two and a half.
- 1:52:54Speaker 7: A little disappointed last week with the Lar.
- 1:52:58Speaker 4: And you know sent yard touchdown runs bad. That is bad.
- 1:53:03Speaker 7: And you know there's just something about New Orleans a
- 1:53:05Speaker 7: little spark to them too. Ah, you know what, I'm
- 1:53:08Speaker 7: gonna just stick with the ROMs.
- 1:53:11Speaker 4: He talks himself in.
- 1:53:11Speaker 6: And some of these schemes are tough.
- 1:53:15Speaker 7: When they only have a small spread, you know, it
- 1:53:17Speaker 7: probably means it's going to be close, so you got
- 1:53:18Speaker 7: to you.
- 1:53:18Speaker 6: Gotta figure it out.
- 1:53:19Speaker 4: So you've got to cover all your brain to the use.
- 1:53:22Speaker 7: I'm I'm gonna lay the points.
- 1:53:25Speaker 4: This is the guy who's leadings.
- 1:53:30Speaker 6: Yeah. I don't know why Vegas likes the Saints. I
- 1:53:32Speaker 6: feel like every time we do this, the Saints are
- 1:53:34Speaker 6: at least in a close spread or something like that.
- 1:53:37Speaker 6: I like the Rams. I think they're good enough to
- 1:53:39Speaker 6: beat teams like the Saints, but not good enough to
- 1:53:41Speaker 6: be teams like the Eagles.
- 1:53:42Speaker 4: Evans having a really good show because he's saying things
- 1:53:44Speaker 4: you agree with a lot of things that I think the.
- 1:53:50Speaker 9: Little echo chamber on right, the black sweat.
- 1:53:57Speaker 3: So you're done, yes, okay, I'll take the Rams.
- 1:54:00Speaker 4: Don't give me attitude finished.
- 1:54:02Speaker 3: I'll take the Rams only one, four to twenty five gigs.
- 1:54:05Speaker 3: It's on CBS. It's the nine and two Eagles at
- 1:54:08Speaker 3: the eight and four Ravens.
- 1:54:11Speaker 4: Nine and two Eagles, eight and four, Baltimore by three.
- 1:54:14Speaker 6: See, like, why isn't this game?
- 1:54:15Speaker 3: This is interesting?
- 1:54:17Speaker 17: Yeah?
- 1:54:18Speaker 3: This isn't folks, this is interesting.
- 1:54:21Speaker 7: I like this game this and I don't feel like
- 1:54:24Speaker 7: I have a great feel on Baltimore. Obviously last week
- 1:54:26Speaker 7: I got Baltimore wrong. But I feel pretty good about
- 1:54:29Speaker 7: this being a Baltimore los this game. So I'm gonna
- 1:54:32Speaker 7: take Philly and I'm gonna grab those plus three points,
- 1:54:35Speaker 7: not that they're gonna need it.
- 1:54:37Speaker 9: I hope you bring that back out the Baltimore loses game.
- 1:54:42Speaker 9: I'm going to take the Ravens at home.
- 1:54:45Speaker 6: I yeah, I'm not totally sold on the Ravens either.
- 1:54:48Speaker 6: Their defense still looks they're really bad and it's like
- 1:54:51Speaker 6: kind of just Lamar being Glamar a lot of the time. Offensively,
- 1:54:55Speaker 6: I like Philly in this game. Philly's offensive line back
- 1:54:59Speaker 6: to being one of the best in football. They just
- 1:55:01Speaker 6: lean on teams and then you get into the fourth
- 1:55:02Speaker 6: quarter and Barkley's rolling and it's just like it's a
- 1:55:06Speaker 6: jumping back, runaway freight train. So I'm going Philly.
- 1:55:09Speaker 4: That has absolutely been the Eagles m over the last
- 1:55:12Speaker 4: like six weeks, dominate in the second half against Yeah,
- 1:55:17Speaker 4: I am taking the Ravens because I think too much
- 1:55:20Speaker 4: offense and if they want to play that slow starting
- 1:55:24Speaker 4: style and run the ball, I think they might fall
- 1:55:26Speaker 4: behind in this game. So I'll take the Ravens at home.
- 1:55:30Speaker 3: Yeah, this is a tough one. I mean, what Paul
- 1:55:33Speaker 3: said is probably why they're favored by three.
- 1:55:36Speaker 4: Well, they're two really good teams, and they went with
- 1:55:38Speaker 4: the home team.
- 1:55:38Speaker 3: I know, But the Ravens are having trouble, you know, defensively, yes, yes,
- 1:55:44Speaker 3: But the Eagles of it, it's so weird, you know,
- 1:55:47Speaker 3: like it doesn't seem to like have a like Barkley's great,
- 1:55:52Speaker 3: but when it comes to their passing game, it doesn't
- 1:55:54Speaker 3: seem to It's hrky and jerky and then they get
- 1:55:56Speaker 3: in third and long and Hurts runs for the first
- 1:55:59Speaker 3: You know, it's weird.
- 1:56:00Speaker 7: How we drow it up.
- 1:56:01Speaker 6: Barkley might be the MVP of the league.
- 1:56:03Speaker 3: Yeah yeah. When's the last time a running.
- 1:56:06Speaker 6: Back Adrian Pearson? Maybe? Yeah, yeah, when he had two
- 1:56:09Speaker 6: thousand Alex.
- 1:56:11Speaker 3: We're gonna have the uh, the debate about should the
- 1:56:14Speaker 3: MVP be the best player on the best team.
- 1:56:17Speaker 4: I mean we can debate anything, Fred, what would you
- 1:56:19Speaker 4: like to do?
- 1:56:20Speaker 3: I don't agree with side. I don't agree with that.
- 1:56:22Speaker 4: Okay, then yes, I'm gonna go with the Eagles.
- 1:56:25Speaker 3: Just a feeling, Just a feeling. Eight twenty Sunday Night.
- 1:56:30Speaker 4: A good red zone game for US.
- 1:56:31Speaker 3: Mike, Oh Baby Universe with Telexedos, the five and six,
- 1:56:35Speaker 3: forty nine ers at the nine and two Bills. See
- 1:56:38Speaker 3: the Bills keep coming up with these easy wins.
- 1:56:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I know, Buffalo by seven does not play the
- 1:56:45Speaker 4: most pow.
- 1:56:46Speaker 6: Doesn't seem like party is going to be in this.
- 1:56:48Speaker 7: Yeah, all right.
- 1:56:49Speaker 4: I appreciate that fifty fifty is a seven point spread,
- 1:56:52Speaker 4: which would indicate that they don't think he's gonna play.
- 1:56:54Speaker 7: Yeah, that's why I think I think Buffalo is feeling
- 1:56:57Speaker 7: pretty good about themselves, and I like them to roll.
- 1:56:59Speaker 7: I'll take Buffalo. I'll lay the points, Buffalo, Buffalo.
- 1:57:02Speaker 6: Yeah, what's happening in Buffalo is worrying me, as in
- 1:57:05Speaker 6: like they might like win a super Bowl, which would
- 1:57:07Speaker 6: be devastating.
- 1:57:09Speaker 4: So I like Josh Allen.
- 1:57:11Speaker 6: I love Josh Allen. That doesn't mean I want the
- 1:57:13Speaker 6: team to succeed. I you don't want to be happy, Yeah, No,
- 1:57:18Speaker 6: I just want him to throw bombs.
- 1:57:19Speaker 3: The Bill's not winning a super Bowl as part of
- 1:57:22Speaker 3: the NFL. You can't have that. You can't upset that.
- 1:57:25Speaker 3: The Bills must remain super Bowl winless.
- 1:57:29Speaker 6: They're a wagon. So I'm gonna take Buffalo, Buffalo.
- 1:57:35Speaker 4: Definitely taking Buffalo to win the game. Seven's a lot
- 1:57:37Speaker 4: of points, it is, Oh, just just they'll cover, you know,
- 1:57:42Speaker 4: I'm gonna I'm gonna take the points.
- 1:57:43Speaker 7: Bills keep getting these people saying Deebo looks fat.
- 1:57:46Speaker 3: Cropping out the windows. What windows should be shut? All right, Bills,
- 1:57:51Speaker 3: I'm gonna take Bills.
- 1:57:52Speaker 4: Boats really untoward that you just won't admit that you're wrong.
- 1:57:56Speaker 3: Monday Night, eight fifteen, ESPN ESPN Deportes three and eight
- 1:58:02Speaker 3: Browns against the home seven and five Broncos. You know,
- 1:58:09Speaker 3: if it's a night game, the Broncos are playing at home,
- 1:58:11Speaker 3: the networks love them. Or they like to go show
- 1:58:14Speaker 3: the mountains and talk about the high altitude. Go to
- 1:58:20Speaker 3: the night before and have a steak. The network's love
- 1:58:23Speaker 3: the sauces on that steak are just like need a point, right,
- 1:58:26Speaker 3: they won't be eating turkey. They love primetime games in Denver.
- 1:58:29Speaker 3: They just love it.
- 1:58:30Speaker 4: Denver by five and a half.
- 1:58:32Speaker 3: They could be one in fifteen, Like, uh, prime time,
- 1:58:36Speaker 3: let's go to Denver.
- 1:58:37Speaker 7: You like that Bonicks psycho eyes yelling at I forget
- 1:58:40Speaker 7: who the other defender was.
- 1:58:41Speaker 4: But seen that yet I'm not afraid of anything, like
- 1:58:44Speaker 4: he's crazy. I didn't give it like the rigs. That's perfect, Paul.
- 1:58:49Speaker 4: That's exactly what it was.
- 1:58:50Speaker 7: When you know he is the whole thing and then
- 1:58:52Speaker 7: all of sudden he's got two guys. It was like that,
- 1:58:56Speaker 7: I'm gonna take Denver at home.
- 1:58:57Speaker 4: Of course, what's spread five and a half.
- 1:59:00Speaker 7: Yeah, and I'll lay those Even though I love Jameis Winston,
- 1:59:03Speaker 7: it's Denver could.
- 1:59:06Speaker 3: Part of December eating that's a part of the alert.
- 1:59:09Speaker 3: You know, you get the Mountains Jams.
- 1:59:11Speaker 7: Winston always delivers though, Like it's just I love that guy.
- 1:59:14Speaker 7: He's just clat machines so funny.
- 1:59:16Speaker 3: I actually hate.
- 1:59:17Speaker 4: Everything about it, not gonna, I hate everything.
- 1:59:22Speaker 6: It's like, can we all calm down? Not serious about
- 1:59:24Speaker 6: football exactly.
- 1:59:26Speaker 9: Yeah, I think Cleveland comes off their high. Denver Denver.
- 1:59:32Speaker 6: I'm not sold on Denver yet as a true true
- 1:59:36Speaker 6: player in this thing, but I am going to take
- 1:59:38Speaker 6: them in this game bothways. Yes, I am less sold
- 1:59:41Speaker 6: on Jameis Winston.
- 1:59:42Speaker 4: I would agree, but I do think the Broncos are
- 1:59:44Speaker 4: going to make the playoffs and I think they're going
- 1:59:48Speaker 4: to win this game. I'll take Denver both ways.
- 1:59:50Speaker 3: Yeah, the Browns won their Super Bowl last week. Broncos
- 1:59:53Speaker 3: both ways at home. All Right, one o'clock we go
- 1:59:57Speaker 3: back to the Patriots hosting the five and seven Colts.
- 2:00:02Speaker 3: The Patriots stand at three and nine, cloak.
- 2:00:06Speaker 4: The Clots by two and a half.
- 2:00:09Speaker 6: Underdogs to the Colts at home.
- 2:00:11Speaker 7: They are I know, I call the disrespectful. On our
- 2:00:13Speaker 7: TV show, Pulse said, no, it's about what they deserve.
- 2:00:16Speaker 7: Maybe Pulse right, you know, this is probably it for
- 2:00:19Speaker 7: me picking the Patriots this season. So I am going
- 2:00:21Speaker 7: to go with the Pats. I just I want to
- 2:00:23Speaker 7: see some fight. They talked about taking a step back today.
- 2:00:26Speaker 7: Two weeks ago they talked about that, tried to take
- 2:00:28Speaker 7: a step forward. I think they can put it together.
- 2:00:31Speaker 7: But I think everybody's gonna have to come to play.
- 2:00:32Speaker 7: They're gonna have to lock in. It will not be easy.
- 2:00:36Speaker 7: I'm going to say, Patriots twenty two, nineteen.
- 2:00:41Speaker 9: Colts twenty one, Patriots twenty I can see I was
- 2:00:45Speaker 9: just getting our hearts broken on.
- 2:00:46Speaker 4: The last Colts twenty one Colts in one.
- 2:00:50Speaker 9: They're going to break my heart on the last strive.
- 2:00:54Speaker 6: I would say, you know, this game, to me is
- 2:00:56Speaker 6: a really big game for the coaching staff. I think defensively,
- 2:01:00Speaker 6: this is all about qb run and Anthony Richardson and
- 2:01:04Speaker 6: uh making him a passer first and trying to get
- 2:01:06Speaker 6: him in the drop back game. If you can do that,
- 2:01:08Speaker 6: I'd like your chances. But that's a lot of coaching,
- 2:01:11Speaker 6: you know, assignments and being as Simon sound and understanding
- 2:01:15Speaker 6: their option package and all that. And then offensively, they
- 2:01:18Speaker 6: are a zone defense. The Colts are going to play zone.
- 2:01:20Speaker 6: That's what Gus Bradley does. So that scheme like you
- 2:01:23Speaker 6: got to get guys open and zone coverage. You gotta
- 2:01:25Speaker 6: flood zones and figure out ways to do that. So
- 2:01:29Speaker 6: they don't have necessarily a giant talent gap in this game.
- 2:01:32Speaker 6: So I think coaching is going to be a big
- 2:01:34Speaker 6: one here, and I'm going to take the Patriots. I
- 2:01:37Speaker 6: think they get it done. I'm going to say twenty
- 2:01:39Speaker 6: to seventeen New England.
- 2:01:42Speaker 4: Yeah. I agree again with my boy Evan with a
- 2:01:45Speaker 4: lot of the stuff he said. I would put a
- 2:01:47Speaker 4: little bit more of the emphasis on Jonathan Taylor. I
- 2:01:49Speaker 4: think they need to stop him to get richardson in
- 2:01:52Speaker 4: the situations that he's talking about. I think they're able
- 2:01:55Speaker 4: to do that well enough, not like that game in
- 2:01:58Speaker 4: Indy that sort of ended the twenty twenty one season
- 2:02:01Speaker 4: when they couldn't stop Jonathan Taylor sixty.
- 2:02:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:02:05Speaker 4: So I'm going to take the Patriots twenty four to twenty.
- 2:02:09Speaker 3: Paul. Years from now, people will say, where were you
- 2:02:15Speaker 3: when Drake May had his breakout game.
- 2:02:18Speaker 4: I was in the press box when they lost to
- 2:02:20Speaker 4: the Rams twenty eight.
- 2:02:21Speaker 3: Answer will be, you were in the press box at
- 2:02:23Speaker 3: jill Let's Stadium. Yes, sure, it's thirty one close twenty
- 2:02:28Speaker 3: one damn it.
- 2:02:30Speaker 6: It's there to be had. Like this is predictable defense.
- 2:02:33Speaker 3: Turn over free for Drake. That's pretty so here we go,
- 2:02:37Speaker 3: Here we go, we go, Here we go, we go.
- 2:02:41Speaker 6: All right, let me know reread it.
