- 1:27Speaker 3: and of course we'll have Devin Cooper, the head football coach,
- 1:30Speaker 3: coming up here in about an hour right now. KK Aldridge,
- 1:32Speaker 3: he is the head baseball coach of the Cougars. Coach Audridge,
- 1:36Speaker 3: always great to see you, brother.
- 1:37Speaker 4: How you doing all right?
- 1:38Speaker 5: Boom Well, Jake, Appreciate you coming out, Appreciate you taking
- 1:41Speaker 5: time to stop by Northwest and highlighting our student athletes.
- 1:44Speaker 5: It's just a good way to showcase these guys here
- 1:48Speaker 5: that are on campus.
- 1:49Speaker 3: We aren't glad to be here. So let's talk some baseball.
- 1:52Speaker 3: It's one of those sports that never ends, right, it
- 1:55Speaker 3: never ends. As you know, we were talking I was
- 1:58Speaker 3: talking with I believe it was doctor McEwan about this.
- 2:03Speaker 3: We were talking social media and schools and how you know,
- 2:05Speaker 3: you guys have that element to you know, kind of
- 2:08Speaker 3: navigating I don't know if you saw the Little League
- 2:10Speaker 3: World Series going on now, and one of the teams,
- 2:13Speaker 3: I think it's one of the teams from New York,
- 2:14Speaker 3: was talking about they attributed some of their success to
- 2:17Speaker 3: when their guys get to the field and it's typically
- 2:20Speaker 3: a five hour pre game whatever they're doing, you know,
- 2:23Speaker 3: kind of get ready for the game, they have to
- 2:24Speaker 3: put all their phones in a bucket and they can't
- 2:26Speaker 3: touch it, and they said, we feel like that's really
- 2:28Speaker 3: allowed us to kind of, you know, regain some focus
- 2:32Speaker 3: on the team. How do you guys handle social media phones.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Well, I think you have to balance it out because
- 2:38Speaker 5: you know, social media, to these guys, it's kind of
- 2:40Speaker 5: like whenever we were playing back in the day, we
- 2:42Speaker 5: wanted to see our name in the paper with that
- 2:44Speaker 5: OTV beside it or something like that. So social media
- 2:46Speaker 5: has to be there to highlight your cause and stuff
- 2:48Speaker 5: like that. And fortunately for us, we have Nathan Parvis
- 2:52Speaker 5: on staff who does a phenomenal job at highlighting our
- 2:55Speaker 5: baseball athletes and our athletes across the board here at
- 2:58Speaker 5: Northwest Rank.
- 2:59Speaker 6: And but you know, you have to be able to.
- 3:01Speaker 5: Use the social media to build your platform, to build
- 3:04Speaker 5: your brand, and and I think we've we've done a
- 3:06Speaker 5: very good job of that. But at the same time,
- 3:09Speaker 5: there's so much information now with the hands of these
- 3:12Speaker 5: players that I feel like in some ways they get
- 3:15Speaker 5: caught up in analyzing so many things and all the
- 3:19Speaker 5: tools that are out there. There's always a new gadget
- 3:21Speaker 5: that can help you with your swing or or some
- 3:24Speaker 5: way to hey, if you do this, this is going
- 3:26Speaker 5: to get you to the next level. And sometimes it
- 3:29Speaker 5: causes the players to to skip out on the element
- 3:32Speaker 5: of fun and just having fun playing the game of baseball.
- 3:35Speaker 5: And uh so sometimes you want to just like take
- 3:37Speaker 5: those phones put away and just guys, let's go out here,
- 3:39Speaker 5: get after it. Let's let's give it all we got.
- 3:41Speaker 5: Let's let's control what we can control. And you know,
- 3:45Speaker 5: if the good, if the good Lord's willing, you're going
- 3:47Speaker 5: to reach your potential. And you know, that's the message
- 3:49Speaker 5: that we try to push. And you know, we we
- 3:52Speaker 5: have great families in our program. They've done a great
- 3:55Speaker 5: job raising quality young men and uh we just try
- 3:58Speaker 5: to help them, uh bring them together, put them out
- 4:01Speaker 5: there on the field, let them showcase their talents and
- 4:03Speaker 5: help them become the best person that they can be.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Kk Audridge head but baseball coach here at Northwest frank
- 4:07Speaker 3: And Tuesday edition year program. Yeah, I was talking with
- 4:10Speaker 3: a coach last year baseball coach. It was it was
- 4:13Speaker 3: on air and we he was in studio and we
- 4:15Speaker 3: were talking about he said, you know, there's as you
- 4:18Speaker 3: know this baseball's got the most acronyms. They've got the
- 4:20Speaker 3: most you know data. I mean, it's a data driven sport.
- 4:23Speaker 3: And he said it. You know, we get parents and
- 4:25Speaker 3: people come to us and talking about blow and talking
- 4:27Speaker 3: about this stat and that stat and that. It's like,
- 4:30Speaker 3: let's slow it down, like we've almost overcome. Yes, I'm
- 4:34Speaker 3: sure all of those matter to some degree of a
- 4:36Speaker 3: level of you know, just you know, kind of importance,
- 4:38Speaker 3: but let's slow it down and let's focus.
- 4:40Speaker 4: On the basics.
- 4:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:41Speaker 5: I mean, like you're saying, there's a time and place
- 4:43Speaker 5: for all of that. But you know, teaching a young
- 4:48Speaker 5: kid that's thirteen and fourteen a launch angle, well, what
- 4:51Speaker 5: are you really setting him up for? You might be
- 4:53Speaker 5: setting him up for hitting a fly out and then
- 4:55Speaker 5: not successful for his program. And so you just have
- 4:58Speaker 5: to look at that and kind of take it day
- 5:02Speaker 5: by day and just let them kind of gear everything
- 5:06Speaker 5: towards the level that they're at and not try to
- 5:09Speaker 5: rush the process. And I think, you know, you hear
- 5:11Speaker 5: all the time about you know, Nick Saban and why
- 5:14Speaker 5: he was so great. It was always trust the process,
- 5:16Speaker 5: Trust the process, and that's what I think, you know,
- 5:19Speaker 5: players have to be able to do. I got finished
- 5:21Speaker 5: talking with our guys today. You know, it was neat
- 5:24Speaker 5: Nick Monastery called and left a voice message about some
- 5:27Speaker 5: things that they're doing. And some of the things that
- 5:30Speaker 5: he was talking about was just the extra work that
- 5:32Speaker 5: they put in and the things that he realized that
- 5:36Speaker 5: maybe later on he wishes he would have done at
- 5:38Speaker 5: an earlier age, such as the nutritional part, such as
- 5:42Speaker 5: the speed and agility stuff, stuff that actually, you know,
- 5:45Speaker 5: will make a difference in their performance and help them
- 5:49Speaker 5: reach their their level. But a lot of times, you know,
- 5:52Speaker 5: the players when they're thirteen, fourteen, fifty even you know,
- 5:55Speaker 5: you know in high school, they're not paying attention to
- 5:57Speaker 5: those things, right, And so that's one part of it
- 5:59Speaker 5: that you know, we're trying to see how we can
- 6:01Speaker 5: improve just as a baseball team, a baseball program. How
- 6:04Speaker 5: can we help those guys look at those things and
- 6:08Speaker 5: make themselves a complete player by taking not only control
- 6:11Speaker 5: of their attributes as a player, but also their physical strength,
- 6:16Speaker 5: what they eat, what goes in their bodies, what they
- 6:18Speaker 5: think about those types of things as well.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Yeah, and you're right, I mean that's things that you
- 6:23Speaker 3: know twenty five thirty years ago, maybe even ten years ago.
- 6:26Speaker 3: I mean, yes, there's always been an importance on nutrition,
- 6:28Speaker 3: but just what you said, I mean, you're seeing in
- 6:31Speaker 3: all sports at an earlier age, people trying to pay
- 6:35Speaker 3: attention more to diet and exercise and you know, not
- 6:37Speaker 3: just exercise about their playing, but you know, calistenics, stretching,
- 6:42Speaker 3: you know, prehab, rehab, I mean, all that, everything that
- 6:46Speaker 3: goes into it. You're seeing that happen at all sports
- 6:48Speaker 3: at a younger age.
- 6:48Speaker 5: Now, yeah, absolutely, I mean that's just you put that
- 6:52Speaker 5: into your programs. I mean, we just got finished so
- 6:55Speaker 5: hot out here with the temperatures and stuff like that,
- 6:57Speaker 5: we're having to be careful with what we do and
- 7:00Speaker 5: can't get outside all the time whenever we want to,
- 7:03Speaker 5: and so we're in the weight room a good bit
- 7:05Speaker 5: and so just sitting down, stretching, doing those type of things,
- 7:09Speaker 5: just to try to get our bodies to where they're
- 7:11Speaker 5: ready to go whenever the season gets here.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Tell us about this group of Cougar's coming up. I
- 7:16Speaker 3: know you've probably got some guys that are gonna be
- 7:17Speaker 3: playing some other sports, but baseball is a competitive is
- 7:21Speaker 3: any sport? Right here on this campus, you guys have
- 7:23Speaker 3: one of the best programs in the State. Talk a
- 7:25Speaker 3: little bit about this group of Cougar's coming through.
- 7:28Speaker 5: Yeah, very excited about this upcoming season. You know, we
- 7:30Speaker 5: had some success last year, just didn't finish it out
- 7:33Speaker 5: the way that we would like to have. But we
- 7:36Speaker 5: have some guys that are coming back in integral parts.
- 7:39Speaker 5: One one guy, Jack Page on the mound, the Southern
- 7:41Speaker 5: miscommit he's gonna be really big for us this year.
- 7:44Speaker 5: Then we have John Merylmore at shortstop. Kim Thompson was
- 7:48Speaker 5: our third basement last year kind of hitting a three
- 7:50Speaker 5: hole four, so he's back as well. Of course, Gavin
- 7:53Speaker 5: Phillipson starting quarterback. He's he's gonna be running around in
- 7:58Speaker 5: center field, does a really good job of roll in
- 8:00Speaker 5: the outfield force. And so then we have some other
- 8:02Speaker 5: seniors that are ready to go, and also some juniors
- 8:06Speaker 5: and and and some sophomores too that are are ready
- 8:09Speaker 5: to push some guys to win some positions. And so
- 8:11Speaker 5: we're gonna get out there and find out who the
- 8:12Speaker 5: best are and put them out there and know that
- 8:14Speaker 5: we can compete against anybody.
- 8:16Speaker 3: You know, seven A is so competitive. We were talking
- 8:19Speaker 3: off the air about pedal and and this is no
- 8:21Speaker 3: disrespect to Pedal wonderful baseball program. Come out of the
- 8:24Speaker 3: four hole or you know, four slot in Region three
- 8:27Speaker 3: with you guys and Brandon and Oak Grove and then
- 8:30Speaker 3: I mean just went on a run. We've seen you
- 8:32Speaker 3: guys do that brand.
- 8:33Speaker 4: It's done that.
- 8:34Speaker 3: I mean, we've seen other teams. I think that just
- 8:36Speaker 3: goes to the level and the depth of how good
- 8:38Speaker 3: baseball is in the state.
- 8:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I think so.
- 8:41Speaker 5: But it's also it's just playing right at the right time.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:43Speaker 5: And you know that's a sports cliche, but that's what
- 8:46Speaker 5: it boils down to a lot of times. And you
- 8:48Speaker 5: don't ever want to necessarily start off your best. Uh,
- 8:50Speaker 5: you don't want to peak too early. And what you
- 8:52Speaker 5: want to do is be playing your best baseball whenever
- 8:54Speaker 5: the playoff time rolls around. And give credit to Pedal
- 8:57Speaker 5: last year, that's what they were doing well.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Coach, thank you so much for jump in. I know
- 9:00Speaker 3: it's hot out here, but thank you for making time
- 9:02Speaker 3: with us today.
- 9:02Speaker 6: Absolutely, thanks you. Thanks for having me.

- 10:45Speaker 3: Dalen Britt here is a girl soccers coach seven years
- 10:48Speaker 3: in here at Northwest Franko coach Britt.
- 10:50Speaker 6: How are you, brother, I'm good, I'm good.
- 10:51Speaker 4: How are y'all doing? Man, we're good. You said, please
- 10:54Speaker 4: excuse the weight we smell. I totally get it.
- 10:56Speaker 3: It is so hot out here, and I think you
- 10:58Speaker 3: could get out of your car if you have done
- 11:00Speaker 3: nothing all day and just walk up here.
- 11:01Speaker 4: And you be sweating. It is a scorger.
- 11:03Speaker 6: Oh, it's it's pretty bad. I'm grateful.
- 11:05Speaker 7: At least girls soccer goes first block, so we beat
- 11:08Speaker 7: the heat a little bit, but I can't escape at
- 11:10Speaker 7: the rest of the day. I mean, you're you're in it.
- 11:12Speaker 7: And I just got off the bus here short shortly
- 11:14Speaker 7: after school ended, and I'm here now. But we're here
- 11:18Speaker 7: and we're feeling good.
- 11:19Speaker 3: So obviously we've been talking to several soccer coaches. I
- 11:21Speaker 3: have to ask this, and I know it's always a yest.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Do you enjoy the world Cup this year I did.
- 11:25Speaker 7: I did, obviously not the ending the USA had, but
- 11:28Speaker 7: as a as a soccer fan, I mean it was
- 11:31Speaker 7: a big time. I mean because it kind of put
- 11:33Speaker 7: a put arrest to some stigmas of we might not
- 11:35Speaker 7: be that passionate about soccer.
- 11:37Speaker 6: And as you can saw, it was an.
- 11:39Speaker 7: Influx of it from the from the world, but also
- 11:41Speaker 7: from US. I feel like we did our fair share.
- 11:43Speaker 7: So it was really fun to watch. The events were
- 11:45Speaker 7: really good. I didn't get to go catch one, but
- 11:48Speaker 7: I thoroughly enjoyed watching just about every match I can
- 11:50Speaker 7: get my eyes on.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Yeah, and you would have to think, and I don't
- 11:52Speaker 3: I don't pretend to know how far out those events
- 11:54Speaker 3: are bid on in the future. I'm sure it's you know,
- 11:56Speaker 3: the next two or three, but that the US would
- 11:58Speaker 3: be back in the running for that again, Oh, you
- 12:00Speaker 3: would have to think.
- 12:01Speaker 7: And I believe they do it too in advance, and
- 12:03Speaker 7: so we've already got our next two set up, and
- 12:05Speaker 7: so they're gonna be voting on the third here soon.
- 12:08Speaker 7: But yeah, you would, you would have to think, and
- 12:10Speaker 7: just from I consider myself a connoisseur as best as
- 12:13Speaker 7: I can. But they've definitely from what I've read, they've
- 12:16Speaker 7: had talks of it. They've loved it, FIFA loved it,
- 12:19Speaker 7: and I mean, we can put the best show on
- 12:21Speaker 7: in the world, man, right, no.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Doubt about it.
- 12:23Speaker 3: We're visiting with Dalen Britt He is a girl socarcers
- 12:25Speaker 3: coach here at Northwest frank And it is Cougar's day
- 12:28Speaker 3: on your radio. All right, So let's talk soccer here locally.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Take us through what the last few years have been
- 12:33Speaker 3: like for you guys, and then of course about the
- 12:35Speaker 3: passion you know, obviously talking to KK Alder, which we
- 12:38Speaker 3: know baseball is real big.
- 12:39Speaker 4: We're in a football season. Soccer is real big here too.
- 12:41Speaker 6: Yeah, oh man, So I mean I grew up in it, definitely.
- 12:45Speaker 7: I'm from the area. I'm from Brecking County down the
- 12:47Speaker 7: road in Florence. But since i've been here, this is
- 12:49Speaker 7: my only teacher job I had, and all the teachers
- 12:51Speaker 7: up there tell me, do not take it for granted,
- 12:53Speaker 7: the ones that have had pit stops along the way.
- 12:55Speaker 6: But I've absolutely loved it here.
- 12:57Speaker 7: You've always known about Northwest ranking soccer, you know, since
- 13:00Speaker 7: I was growing up early two thousands, all that good stuff.
- 13:03Speaker 6: But being here and being in it.
- 13:04Speaker 7: It's just kind of a different level as far as
- 13:07Speaker 7: the players, the parents, the support that you get from
- 13:09Speaker 7: the community, the coaching that you've kind of got to
- 13:12Speaker 7: bring every day. It's a lot, but it's in a
- 13:16Speaker 7: good way, if you know what I mean. Where Like,
- 13:19Speaker 7: like you said, in recent years, we've we've been able
- 13:21Speaker 7: to find a lot of success boys and girls. Boys
- 13:24Speaker 7: made their fair sheriff state championships coming up, just shorten
- 13:27Speaker 7: a few of them, but still not for effort, not
- 13:30Speaker 7: for not belonging there. I mean, they busted their butt,
- 13:32Speaker 7: just just that's the way the coin flip that day,
- 13:35Speaker 7: and the girls were have to able to pull off
- 13:36Speaker 7: a few we just lost. We went to three in
- 13:39Speaker 7: a row and lost our third one this past year,
- 13:41Speaker 7: So it was it was a tough one. It was
- 13:42Speaker 7: a devastating one. But uh, there's there's a lot of
- 13:45Speaker 7: schools in the state that would that would love to
- 13:47Speaker 7: be in the game. And so just the constant success,
- 13:50Speaker 7: I mean, it's a it's a high demand, but you
- 13:53Speaker 7: get to reap the benefits of it at the end
- 13:55Speaker 7: of the year and it's just awesome to be part
- 13:56Speaker 7: of How.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Many girls anula do you guys have to come out
- 14:00Speaker 3: try out for the team.
- 14:01Speaker 7: So we're strange dynamic actually because we kind of have
- 14:04Speaker 7: a filter of a middle school team, and so our
- 14:06Speaker 7: high school team, we don't necessarily get a ton of
- 14:10Speaker 7: high school players that come out. We do get some,
- 14:13Speaker 7: but our big trout is actually to kind of get
- 14:15Speaker 7: onto our middle school team, and so that's where we
- 14:17Speaker 7: kind of have a filtering step before we get into
- 14:19Speaker 7: that high school team, and we try our best to
- 14:21Speaker 7: take it just as serious at those younger ages to
- 14:23Speaker 7: kind of set the precedent of, hey, this is a
- 14:26Speaker 7: prestigious program and we want you to be a part
- 14:27Speaker 7: of it. But you've got to want to be a
- 14:29Speaker 7: part of it. And so we roughly have at a
- 14:32Speaker 7: middle school try out what you deem high school. I'd
- 14:35Speaker 7: say around fifty to sixty. Sometimes some years about seventy
- 14:39Speaker 7: girls show up and we end up rostering roughly fifty total,
- 14:45Speaker 7: seven through twelveth roughly.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's excuse me, that's still that's a lot
- 14:49Speaker 3: of kids to have to manage, right, Yeah, man, it's
- 14:52Speaker 3: a lot of kids.
- 14:53Speaker 7: It's it's definitely it takes a group effort. Like I said,
- 14:56Speaker 7: our parents support is fantastic when it comes to all
- 14:58Speaker 7: of our community service. When it comes to our team
- 15:00Speaker 7: bonding events, our parents step in and take a huge
- 15:02Speaker 7: weight of that off the coaches shoulders. They're fantastic throughout
- 15:05Speaker 7: the entire year, not just the season. A great a
- 15:08Speaker 7: great staff we have this year. We've recently lost to
- 15:11Speaker 7: middle school coach, but we added a new one on
- 15:13Speaker 7: named Charlie Cooper, and she's done a great job so far.
- 15:15Speaker 7: And then my second year returning assistant, Abby Taylor, who's
- 15:18Speaker 7: just like taking the bull by the horns and she
- 15:20Speaker 7: has been awesome at managed, helping me manage the players
- 15:23Speaker 7: and kind of doing her due diligence with everything that
- 15:26Speaker 7: sometimes I forget about, which she's learned. I have a
- 15:28Speaker 7: terrible memory. But they've been fantastic. So luckily it's not
- 15:31Speaker 7: just me managing them. It's it's a group effort with it.
- 15:35Speaker 6: But it does.
- 15:35Speaker 7: I mean, it takes a village, for sure. They say
- 15:37Speaker 7: it takes a village for just one kid. I mean,
- 15:39Speaker 7: so we got fifty of them.
- 15:41Speaker 3: We're having a conversation with coach Dylon Britt Dalen brit
- 15:44Speaker 3: excuse me. He is the girl soccers coach here at
- 15:46Speaker 3: Northwest Rank and Tuesday edition of your radio show, you
- 15:49Speaker 3: said you grew up at don in Florence.
- 15:51Speaker 4: I did as well. Well, I've talked about that off the air,
- 15:52Speaker 4: so we'rend. Kendrick Spears.
- 15:54Speaker 6: Oh yeah, absolutely, I will.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Ask you this on that response on that, knowing that,
- 15:58Speaker 3: did you ever think you would see Rand County? And
- 16:00Speaker 3: I've been I've been talking about this for weeks. I
- 16:02Speaker 3: know Rod probably gets started to be saying, I am
- 16:04Speaker 3: just amazed every school in Ranking County has turf.
- 16:07Speaker 7: For you kidding me, I can't believe it, man, I'll
- 16:10Speaker 7: be honest, And it's all good. I mean, I'm sure
- 16:12Speaker 7: there will always be a negative Nancy out there that's
- 16:14Speaker 7: kind of bring up, well, well this will that, But
- 16:16Speaker 7: I mean it's just awesome. It's awesome for the smaller
- 16:19Speaker 7: schools to be able to because it's it's a struggle
- 16:21Speaker 7: for them at times, you know, to manage that grass
- 16:23Speaker 7: field to get those games in. You're talking football games,
- 16:26Speaker 7: soccer games, like you're talking a lot of sports, big
- 16:28Speaker 7: time sports, and so it's it's awesome for them and
- 16:31Speaker 7: especially you know, my grassroots over at Florence, Like that's
- 16:34Speaker 7: that's big time for them because they're they're also a
- 16:37Speaker 7: very well known soccer school, and so a lot of
- 16:39Speaker 7: these schools very deserving. But then also it just gives
- 16:42Speaker 7: these schools an opportunity that more opportunities to come in
- 16:45Speaker 7: the future that they're going to have that they would
- 16:47Speaker 7: not have had without a turf field.
- 16:49Speaker 6: So it's good.
- 16:49Speaker 3: And I'm sure you know, like some coaches have said,
- 16:52Speaker 3: i mean, obviously soccer, you guys are going to play
- 16:54Speaker 3: in the elements, but if you had a heavy, heavy
- 16:56Speaker 3: rain come through on a soccer day, I mean in
- 16:59Speaker 3: the morning, by afternoon, this thing's gonna be drought here
- 17:01Speaker 3: that you're gonna be playing.
- 17:02Speaker 7: Oh yeah, man, it's the funniest story too. We had
- 17:05Speaker 7: a semi final a couple of years back that we
- 17:07Speaker 7: played Brandon, you know, crosstown rival. It was it was
- 17:09Speaker 7: it was a big deal. It was a good game,
- 17:11Speaker 7: we had a good team. It was a twenty five
- 17:13Speaker 7: year which we went on to win it that year.
- 17:14Speaker 7: But in the semi final, it was torrential down poor,
- 17:19Speaker 7: heaviest rain, cats and dogs, whatever saying that you want.
- 17:22Speaker 6: To say, it was. It was bad. It was rough.
- 17:25Speaker 4: We were out here, we were in it.
- 17:27Speaker 7: No lightning delayed us and so we just kept on
- 17:29Speaker 7: keeping on and we ended up pulling that one out
- 17:31Speaker 7: one to oh with about one.
- 17:32Speaker 6: Second left in the game. But it was tough. But
- 17:35Speaker 6: to your point, you know we can get it in.
- 17:38Speaker 4: No, there's no doubt.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Talk about We got a couple of minutes here with
- 17:41Speaker 3: coach Daleen Britt girls Soccer's coach here at Northwest. Frank
- 17:43Speaker 3: and Chris Langer will join us in the next segment
- 17:45Speaker 3: talking college in the NFL, the growth of soccer just
- 17:50Speaker 3: as you've seen it in this state and how big
- 17:52Speaker 3: it's got.
- 17:53Speaker 7: Oh man, it's crazy because I get to see from
- 17:55Speaker 7: both sides. So I'm also a girls director over at
- 17:57Speaker 7: Ranking Soccer Club and based out of Brandon, and coach
- 18:00Speaker 7: our two oldest girls age groups over at Rush United,
- 18:03Speaker 7: which I mean numbers based. We are the biggest club
- 18:06Speaker 7: in the state of Mississippi right now. I'm pretty pretty
- 18:08Speaker 7: successful with them. We've got a great group from all
- 18:10Speaker 7: over the area, all over the state. Honestly, we get
- 18:12Speaker 7: girls traveling from Biloxi, the Ocean Springs down from Tupelo,
- 18:16Speaker 7: all over the area. So to that point, it's grown
- 18:19Speaker 7: so much just from when I was playing. There's always
- 18:23Speaker 7: good and bad with everything, but so far it's been
- 18:25Speaker 7: really really good. It's it's becoming a little bit more prominent,
- 18:28Speaker 7: and it's been fun to watch since since I was young.
- 18:31Speaker 7: You know, because you the with the with soccer growing
- 18:34Speaker 7: as a whole, you get better coaches, you get more
- 18:37Speaker 7: involvement from parents, you get better funding from people that
- 18:40Speaker 7: just want to be a part of it. So it's
- 18:41Speaker 7: it's good from all fast ends.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Well, we appreciate your time today and look best of
- 18:46Speaker 3: luck this year. Hey, yeah, thank you so much.
- 18:48Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Dalen Brett here is a girl soccer's coach here at
- 18:51Speaker 3: Northwest Franklin. So we got just a couple of minutes
- 18:54Speaker 3: left here. We'll get Chris landry on here momentarily Texas
- 18:57Speaker 3: six or one eight eight, five, three seven seven. Sake again,
- 19:01Speaker 3: let me get you caught up on a couple notes
- 19:03Speaker 3: before we move into the break.
- 19:05Speaker 4: Here.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Let's see here I do. We will get into this
- 19:09Speaker 3: deal on Brandon. What's going on over there with this probation.
- 19:13Speaker 3: I've had several people ask me about this. We'll talk
- 19:15Speaker 3: a little bit about that in hour number three. Also,
- 19:18Speaker 3: AP voters' most underrated teams in college football. Real quickly,
- 19:23Speaker 3: this is the AP voters who say the most underrated
- 19:26Speaker 3: teams BYU number one in college football this year. The
- 19:30Speaker 3: Cougar's obviously are getting a lot of love in the
- 19:32Speaker 3: Big Twelve. The coaches of the Big Twelve picked the
- 19:35Speaker 3: by you Cougar's to win the conference. Wouldn't be surprised
- 19:38Speaker 3: by that Texas Tech that was going to be the
- 19:40Speaker 3: favorite Indiana. They still feel like Indiana's undervalued. Northwestern Iowa
- 19:45Speaker 3: and Boise State, followed by Ole, miss TCU, Twulane, Cincinnati,
- 19:49Speaker 3: and how about this hail State Mississippi State as an
- 19:51Speaker 3: undervalued team. Talking to David Murray last hour and some
- 19:56Speaker 3: others here Missouri at seventeen, also Memphis at nineteen, in
- 20:01Speaker 3: Vanderbilt at twenty three. We're brought to you by Maristar Casino.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Get out and play. Get out to the Gurka cigar
- 20:05Speaker 3: lounge and of course enjoy a smoke at the cigar
- 20:08Speaker 3: lounge at a Maristar, and of course bring it to
- 20:11Speaker 3: the house and get the bet builder on your phone.
- 20:13Speaker 4: We gotta take a time out. We come back. Chris
- 20:15Speaker 4: Landry will join us for thirty minutes. Back in a bit.
- 20:17Speaker 4: It's time just kidding back in the game. See Wimberly

- 21:31Speaker 4: Chris, Welcome in, sir. How are you?
- 21:34Speaker 9: I am doing good? How are you?
- 21:36Speaker 4: Chris?
- 21:36Speaker 3: We're doing good. I mean we're we've almost made it.
- 21:38Speaker 3: We've got a lot of preseason games to watch now,
- 21:41Speaker 3: and we got Week zero coming up this week, so
- 21:44Speaker 3: I mean football is almost here, sir.
- 21:47Speaker 9: It is as hot as it is around the country.
- 21:50Speaker 9: It's almost here and the you know, practices are underway,
- 21:55Speaker 9: and you know we're going to have the old announcing
- 21:58Speaker 9: of starting quarterbacks, including one today, you know who's starting,
- 22:02Speaker 9: and all that kind of stuff that we we usually
- 22:05Speaker 9: get done this time of year.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Chris, Uh, do you get excited about Week zero? I mean,
- 22:10Speaker 3: I know, you know there's a few games out there.
- 22:13Speaker 3: I'm sure you'll probably have it on or you just
- 22:14Speaker 3: kind of like, hey, look we'll we'll check it out.
- 22:16Speaker 4: But next week's next week's to go time.
- 22:19Speaker 9: Yeah, you know, it's just you know, there's just not
- 22:22Speaker 9: much there. Sometimes there's you know, a game that's really good,
- 22:28Speaker 9: you know what I mean, North Carolina TCU, North Carolina State, Virginia.
- 22:32Speaker 9: There's only two, you know, Hawaii Standford. Just just not
- 22:35Speaker 9: much there to stick your teeth into. Uh, but yeah,
- 22:40Speaker 9: I think you know us see Florida State play as well. Yeah,
- 22:44Speaker 9: I mean, we'll see. It's a little taste, I mean
- 22:47Speaker 9: I would say that. I don't know, it's not appetizers.
- 22:51Speaker 9: Maybe it's some uh it's some chips in saufa. Let's
- 22:54Speaker 9: call that. We we gotta we gotta, we gotta waste
- 22:57Speaker 9: to go before the real meal. Comes in though.
- 23:00Speaker 3: No, you're right, no doubt, Chris Landry on your radio
- 23:02Speaker 3: talking college and of course we'll get a little NFL
- 23:04Speaker 3: as well.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Chris.
- 23:05Speaker 3: When you look at of course the AP poll is out,
- 23:09Speaker 3: it's almost like now we get too too much information
- 23:12Speaker 3: and too many polls. I mean, yes, you've got the
- 23:14Speaker 3: AP and the coaches that stood as the you know,
- 23:16Speaker 3: the main stay forever. I mean a lot of us
- 23:18Speaker 3: are old enough to remember before the College Football Playoff,
- 23:21Speaker 3: before the BCS, you had an AP champion, coaches champion.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Sometimes those would be the same teams. But now you've
- 23:28Speaker 3: got a CBS poll an on three pole, you know,
- 23:30Speaker 3: a U poll, a ME poll at that pole. It
- 23:32Speaker 3: feels like we kind of polled out here.
- 23:36Speaker 9: Yeah, and to me it's it's a well, it's much
- 23:40Speaker 9: to do about nothing, you know. But yeah, you know
- 23:43Speaker 9: a lot of people feel like it has some effect
- 23:47Speaker 9: on how people may view teams. And look, I can't
- 23:51Speaker 9: say for certain that it doesn't. We know that, you know,
- 23:56Speaker 9: the real discussions of how they rank of teams in October.
- 24:03Speaker 9: You know, I don't know, maybe there's a little bit
- 24:05Speaker 9: of perception of teams being really good, but we really
- 24:09Speaker 9: don't know, we know that they're teams that are very
- 24:12Speaker 9: talented going in who could be very good. But who's
- 24:17Speaker 9: to know that somebody that's you know, automatically top five,
- 24:24Speaker 9: top six, you know, I just don't know that that
- 24:27Speaker 9: that that's necessarily going to be the case until we
- 24:31Speaker 9: start to see him play. We'll know who the best
- 24:33Speaker 9: teams are as we go through the course of the season,
- 24:36Speaker 9: and it will change through the course of the season.
- 24:39Speaker 9: It's going to have a different look. Although I think
- 24:41Speaker 9: we'll see some some teams kind of you know, just
- 24:48Speaker 9: come to fourth through the course of the year, and
- 24:51Speaker 9: maybe they were projected to be really good and they
- 24:55Speaker 9: still are at the end of the year. But we
- 24:56Speaker 9: just don't know that's the reality of.
- 24:58Speaker 4: It looking at some of these teams.
- 25:01Speaker 3: And of course this isn't you know, anything as far
- 25:03Speaker 3: as the you know, the the AP is concerned. I mean,
- 25:06Speaker 3: you know, in reference to the AP, but just kind
- 25:08Speaker 3: of looking back at yesterday's reveal of the AP, I
- 25:11Speaker 3: just want to talk about some of these teams, and
- 25:13Speaker 3: obviously the media feel pretty high on some teams we
- 25:16Speaker 3: haven't really talked about. Let's let's go to a couple
- 25:18Speaker 3: of these teams. One let's go to Washington and what's
- 25:21Speaker 3: going on at at Washington. When we talk about the
- 25:23Speaker 3: Pack or the Big the Big Ten formerly of the
- 25:26Speaker 3: Big PAC twelve, the old PAC twelve, Washington is a
- 25:29Speaker 3: team we don't talk a whole lot about. I mean,
- 25:31Speaker 3: obviously they're in the northwest portion of the of the country.
- 25:35Speaker 3: They've had some success, Uh, not the success that Oregon
- 25:38Speaker 3: has had since they've come over. I know Oregon course
- 25:41Speaker 3: kind of leads those Pac twelve teams. But when you
- 25:43Speaker 3: read a lot of excerpts over the off season, there
- 25:46Speaker 3: are some pundits that feel pretty good about this Washington team.
- 25:48Speaker 4: What do you see them?
- 25:50Speaker 9: Yeah, no, I think, Look, it's a really good program.
- 25:53Speaker 9: We know they've had moments, you know, even recent ones.
- 25:57Speaker 9: Was the biggest reason why Caitlin R. Boorg got the
- 26:01Speaker 9: job at at Alabama. But you know they've they've had
- 26:06Speaker 9: a lot of success in over their history. Uh. And
- 26:10Speaker 9: I just I think they've got one of the better
- 26:12Speaker 9: quarterbacks in the Big Ten.
- 26:14Speaker 6: Uh.
- 26:14Speaker 9: They just got a very difficult schedule that's going to
- 26:17Speaker 9: be the biggest challenge. But but let me say this,
- 26:21Speaker 9: if they play well against that schedule, Uh, they're gonna
- 26:24Speaker 9: get a lot of notice, So you know, it's just
- 26:27Speaker 9: a little disappointing that they got to play the the
- 26:30Speaker 9: Apple Cup game in September now, but they they'll they'll
- 26:34Speaker 9: win that, I think, and then they will open up,
- 26:37Speaker 9: uh with the four wins I think, to beat Minnesota
- 26:41Speaker 9: and then they'll get into USC Iowa and then you know,
- 26:46Speaker 9: at the end of the year Penn State, Indiana, Oregon,
- 26:49Speaker 9: those are in. That Washington Oregon game is very underrated.
- 26:54Speaker 9: I think people in our part of the country don't
- 26:56Speaker 9: realize what a great rivalry that is. That's a big
- 27:00Speaker 9: rivalry game for Washington than it is Washington State. I mean,
- 27:05Speaker 9: you know, they they the Oregon. The hate between Washington
- 27:08Speaker 9: and Oregon is is big time. So it's a tough schedule,
- 27:13Speaker 9: particularly down the stretch, and they're gonna have to play
- 27:16Speaker 9: you know, Penn State in November. Then in the end
- 27:18Speaker 9: up late November, Indiana and Oregon. They'll earn their way
- 27:22Speaker 9: in if they're able to get in.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Visit with Chris Landry talking college football, and it's usually
- 27:28Speaker 3: make sure to get him meant Landry football dot com
- 27:30Speaker 3: Chris uh Michigan under I'm gonna go Michigan in Utah
- 27:33Speaker 3: because Michigan obviously now with Kyle Whittingham and as their
- 27:37Speaker 3: head coach, talk a little bit about, you know, what
- 27:39Speaker 3: he may change and what he could bring for Michigan,
- 27:42Speaker 3: and then you know, Utah flips uh, you know, finally
- 27:44Speaker 3: out of the you know, it was Dan Mullen and
- 27:46Speaker 3: then Kyle Whittingham. For a long time, Utah under a
- 27:48Speaker 3: different leadership as well.
- 27:51Speaker 9: Well. I think he's been one of the best coaches
- 27:55Speaker 9: in the country and has had one of the I
- 27:58Speaker 9: think the best developmental program in the country. I mean,
- 28:01Speaker 9: I think Iowa under Kurt Farrens would be another. And
- 28:06Speaker 9: there's been a couple of more, but but the consistency
- 28:09Speaker 9: of how good Utah has been. It's gonna get more
- 28:12Speaker 9: difficult for him though, because the conference is more challenging,
- 28:17Speaker 9: the schedule weekend and we God is going to be
- 28:19Speaker 9: more challenging. But look, the guy, I mean, tell me
- 28:22Speaker 9: if this doesn't sound like Michigan. The guy proches good
- 28:27Speaker 9: physical defense, good line of scrimmage, play, run the football,
- 28:33Speaker 9: just bring your your your lunch pale on defense. I mean,
- 28:36Speaker 9: that's Michigan football. Being able to recruit maybe a different
- 28:41Speaker 9: level of player that may be you know, and he's
- 28:44Speaker 9: doing a pretty good job thus far. But now that's
- 28:48Speaker 9: gonna be the key is can they you know, get
- 28:51Speaker 9: that maybe that next level player, because what he did
- 28:54Speaker 9: at Utah he recruited guys that that they developed him
- 28:58Speaker 9: into really good players. But if they were not the
- 29:00Speaker 9: elite players, get Oklahoma at home on in September. Then
- 29:06Speaker 9: late September they got Iowa and go to Minnesota, but
- 29:10Speaker 9: they again got Penn State, Indiana and the you have
- 29:13Speaker 9: to go to Oregon, have to go to Ohio State
- 29:16Speaker 9: this year. So it's they're more roadblocks than he had
- 29:21Speaker 9: at Utah. But he's got more resources and I think
- 29:24Speaker 9: better talent than Michigan. I think he's gonna be fine.
- 29:27Speaker 9: I think he's gonna be very, very tough and have
- 29:31Speaker 9: a lot of success. I just don't know at his
- 29:33Speaker 9: age I've known tow forard. I just I was a
- 29:36Speaker 9: little bit surprised him doing it. He obviously wanted it,
- 29:39Speaker 9: maybe a different challenge. I just don't know that this
- 29:43Speaker 9: is you know, this is not He's not gonna be
- 29:45Speaker 9: coaching there, you know, seven eight years. I mean, he's
- 29:48Speaker 9: this is not going to be a long term situation.
- 29:51Speaker 9: Brand Although I mean, what is a long term job
- 29:54Speaker 9: in college football? But nobody stays very long. But he's
- 29:57Speaker 9: up at an age where you know it's gonna be
- 29:59Speaker 9: interesting to see what he can do in the next
- 30:00Speaker 9: three years.
- 30:02Speaker 3: Make sure to get him on X and of course
- 30:04Speaker 3: you can get him on TikTok and YouTube's Chris Landry.
- 30:06Speaker 3: We'll have another segment coming back to little College, Little

- 31:19Speaker 3: dot Com Chris Landry Segment two on a Tuesday. Chris,
- 31:24Speaker 3: you know, I kind of laugh, at least at myself,
- 31:26Speaker 3: and I do that constantly at the top ten in
- 31:28Speaker 3: the AP pole. And the reason I laugh about it
- 31:29Speaker 3: is it's littered with teams that people I roll. I mean,
- 31:33Speaker 3: obviously nobody's gonna I roll Ohio State. They won a
- 31:35Speaker 3: national title here recently, Georgia, you know, but Oregon to mean,
- 31:39Speaker 3: everybody talks, Hey, if this is the year for Orgon,
- 31:41Speaker 3: everybody eye rolls, it's the year for Notre Dame. Iroll Texas,
- 31:44Speaker 3: ie roll Indiana. I don't think there's a lot of
- 31:46Speaker 3: eye rolling there. Miami, not as much. Texas A and
- 31:49Speaker 3: m I roll Ole Miss Oklahoma. I bring that up
- 31:53Speaker 3: because there's some really really good teams in the top ten,
- 31:56Speaker 3: top fifteen, top twenty, but just there's we're looking for
- 32:00Speaker 3: that next team to prove they belong and when you
- 32:03Speaker 3: say belong, that they hoist the trophy.
- 32:05Speaker 4: Be it an Oregon, A Notre Dame.
- 32:07Speaker 3: But Texas it's been a while, Texas A and m
- 32:10Speaker 3: Ole Miss Oklahoma, it's been a while. There's a lot
- 32:12Speaker 3: of teams that are spending a lot of money that
- 32:15Speaker 3: are looking for that, you know, kind of that mountaintop
- 32:17Speaker 3: performance that we have not seen from them.
- 32:20Speaker 9: Yeah, there's no question about it. I mean, so we
- 32:23Speaker 9: just take them. I mean, look, we don't know how
- 32:27Speaker 9: things are gonna come together. But let's take Notre Dame
- 32:30Speaker 9: loaded on defense. They got a really good quarterback. Did
- 32:34Speaker 9: they have enough playmakers to win that type of game?
- 32:37Speaker 9: We'll see. They certainly deserve to be mentioned among the
- 32:41Speaker 9: very best. I don't know that they mean that means
- 32:44Speaker 9: that they end up winning at all. We know that
- 32:47Speaker 9: Texas is really good, you know. You know, they had
- 32:54Speaker 9: a developing, younger quarterback with an in offensive line. Now
- 32:59Speaker 9: they're better, They've got great the special teams. Uh, they
- 33:03Speaker 9: get their toughest games at home. I think it's fair
- 33:07Speaker 9: to question whether they can get it all done. But
- 33:10Speaker 9: I mean, if you think about it, it's I mean,
- 33:13Speaker 9: if you don't make it to the championship game or
- 33:16Speaker 9: win it, they're gonna say, oh, well, well you can
- 33:19Speaker 9: name five of these teams. I mean even pretty much
- 33:22Speaker 9: not only two of them are going to get to
- 33:24Speaker 9: the championship games. So it's probably gonna be eye rolls again.
- 33:28Speaker 9: But the reality is. I think Notre Dame is good.
- 33:31Speaker 9: I think Texas is good. I don't know that that
- 33:34Speaker 9: I'm ready to put A and M in or Old
- 33:37Speaker 9: Miss in the category. Uh in Oregon. You know, Oregon
- 33:41Speaker 9: is is every bit as good as capable of getting there.
- 33:45Speaker 9: But I don't know that I would put A and
- 33:47Speaker 9: M or Old Miss quite in that category. But there's
- 33:49Speaker 9: certainly a team, two teams that can maybe make the playoffs.
- 33:52Speaker 9: And as we kind of found out last year, you
- 33:55Speaker 9: never know. Ole Miss has the look, they've got the
- 33:58Speaker 9: quarterback that they get it in the playoffs last year
- 34:01Speaker 9: that I think they were as good as Georgia. No,
- 34:04Speaker 9: and quite frankly, without spectacular play by the quarterback, they
- 34:10Speaker 9: don't win that game. But they do have that, and
- 34:13Speaker 9: if they get in, nobody want to play them. And
- 34:16Speaker 9: maybe that could happen too with A and M. With
- 34:19Speaker 9: if Reid steps up and makes big time plays, because
- 34:23Speaker 9: I think that's gonna be a really good defense. So yeah,
- 34:26Speaker 9: it will be fun to see it. Look, I mean,
- 34:28Speaker 9: Texas Tech kind of made their way there and they're
- 34:31Speaker 9: gonna be good again, although BYU is gonna be good.
- 34:34Speaker 9: So I think what's gonna happen is is you're gonna
- 34:37Speaker 9: have teams. Maybe let's use Texas Tech as an example.
- 34:41Speaker 9: Maybe it's a BYU, maybe it's an SMU, somebody that's
- 34:46Speaker 9: gonna get into the playoffs and maybe do pretty well
- 34:50Speaker 9: in there, or maybe win a game like Ole Miss
- 34:53Speaker 9: did last year beating Georgia, and all of a sudden,
- 34:56Speaker 9: there's gonna be a different profile in the eyes of fans. Hey,
- 35:02Speaker 9: look out, they're really good. And then but the big
- 35:05Speaker 9: time boys when they were gonna win at all and
- 35:08Speaker 9: all this kind of talk that they don't do it,
- 35:10Speaker 9: people are gonna always question until they do.
- 35:14Speaker 4: Chris Let's move over to the NFL. Obviously, preseason is
- 35:17Speaker 4: going on.
- 35:18Speaker 3: What's some of the storylines or teams maybe or players
- 35:21Speaker 3: that's kind of stuck out to you here in the
- 35:22Speaker 3: early going. You know, obviously it is preseason. We take
- 35:25Speaker 3: out of the context. But we've seen, you know, Fernando
- 35:27Speaker 3: men does it with a pretty nice performance. Carson Beck
- 35:30Speaker 3: has played fairly well when he's been available, Tya Simpson
- 35:33Speaker 3: in some in some makeup time as well, just kind
- 35:35Speaker 3: of some things. You kind of been pleasantly surprised within
- 35:38Speaker 3: the NFL.
- 35:39Speaker 9: Yeah, you know, I don't know about surprise, but man,
- 35:41Speaker 9: I just I love the Jeremiah love and what he's
- 35:45Speaker 9: doing thus for. And I know he's banged up a
- 35:47Speaker 9: little bit, but he's looked really good.
- 35:51Speaker 1: You know.
- 35:51Speaker 9: I think, you know, we're all kind of wondering if
- 35:53Speaker 9: Aaron Downald, I think he's gonna come back, it's gonna
- 35:56Speaker 9: put you know, the Rams in that position. I here's
- 35:59Speaker 9: what jumps out to me. I'm there's in no order.
- 36:04Speaker 9: How good will Buffalo be? Will their defense be good enough?
- 36:07Speaker 9: That the awful? If Josh Allen doesn't win the issue,
- 36:10Speaker 9: what does it mean? Uh, It'll mean that the defense
- 36:13Speaker 9: is not good enough. And you know, so that's gonna
- 36:17Speaker 9: be key there. And then I'm curious to see can
- 36:21Speaker 9: the Bengals do enough on defense. I'm curious to see
- 36:26Speaker 9: what's gonna happen at quarterbacks of Cleveland. Is Deshaun Watson
- 36:30Speaker 9: maybe gonna win that job? You know? I think Denver
- 36:36Speaker 9: is you could absolutely make them the favorite in the West.
- 36:41Speaker 9: I don't necessarily think it's Kansas City anymore. I think
- 36:44Speaker 9: Denver is that good. But you know what, Kansas City,
- 36:48Speaker 9: with their quarterback as good as Mahomes is, could he overtaken,
- 36:53Speaker 9: and then what about the charges? Then the NFC, it's like, hey,
- 36:56Speaker 9: you know, Dallas has made some intriguing moves. What about
- 36:59Speaker 9: their death? How much better will Washington get with the
- 37:04Speaker 9: Jaden Daniels back healthy? And then you know, a lot
- 37:07Speaker 9: of pressure is gonna be on Nick Sirianni and Jalen
- 37:11Speaker 9: Hurts and Philadelphia. Who's gonna win the South? I mean,
- 37:15Speaker 9: I'm gonna tell you I I can flip one through
- 37:19Speaker 9: four in the NFC South and flip four with one,
- 37:23Speaker 9: and I wouldn't flip an eigh lights. I mean, I
- 37:25Speaker 9: don't know, you know, we we're You're in and I
- 37:28Speaker 9: are in Saints Country. They can finish first, they can
- 37:31Speaker 9: finish fourth. I don't think there's much separating them. And
- 37:34Speaker 9: then I just really intrigued by the North. Can the
- 37:36Speaker 9: Bears make that jump? Is that Green Bay is at Detroit?
- 37:41Speaker 10: Uh?
- 37:41Speaker 9: And and then the West? To me, it's just that's
- 37:44Speaker 9: gonna be a dogfight. I mean, the Rams look so good,
- 37:47Speaker 9: but let's just remind everybody how good Seattle is and
- 37:50Speaker 9: will be again. It's gonna be a lot of fun,
- 37:53Speaker 9: but a lot of question marks. I kill everybody, Sit back, Uh,
- 37:58Speaker 9: you know, enjoy the first four five regular season games.
- 38:05Speaker 9: Then you start to see things settle in a little bit.
- 38:08Speaker 9: You start to see who's pretty good, and then quite frankly,
- 38:11Speaker 9: it's gonna be that that middle part that game six
- 38:15Speaker 9: through like Thanksgiving weekend, and that's when you start to
- 38:19Speaker 9: see who kind of settles in and the real teams
- 38:22Speaker 9: to beat. And then then you got to have some love.
- 38:25Speaker 9: From a health standpoint, I see I see seasons get
- 38:29Speaker 9: derilled all the time. Some things given time.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Chris Landry on your radio, talking football, get him a
- 38:35Speaker 3: Landry Football dot Com.
- 38:36Speaker 4: Chris, we got about two minutes left.
- 38:38Speaker 3: I'm seeing some more injuries are small, slight ones on
- 38:41Speaker 3: in San Francisco, Chris. There's all the jokes about nuclear
- 38:44Speaker 3: power plants and things going on. Chris, what is going
- 38:47Speaker 3: on in San Francisco? Sounds like they do have more
- 38:49Speaker 3: injuries anybody.
- 38:50Speaker 9: I don't know. And thing injuries. We always studied injuries.
- 38:57Speaker 9: We always wondered if we're doing the right things from
- 38:59Speaker 9: a ditioning standpoint, or we we're doing enough in the
- 39:03Speaker 9: off season or too much. But some of the injuries,
- 39:07Speaker 9: it really depends on the injury. If you have a
- 39:09Speaker 9: lot of poles and things like that that may be applicable,
- 39:12Speaker 9: but man, some of the stuff is just we call
- 39:15Speaker 9: them buzzer's luck. I mean it's just you just wonder
- 39:18Speaker 9: what's circling over there. It's a problem. I mean even
- 39:20Speaker 9: the head coach can't stay out of the injury fact.
- 39:23Speaker 9: I mean, it's it's and it's it's been. It's been
- 39:27Speaker 9: happening now for for a couple of years. And Ben's
- 39:30Speaker 9: over there crying in his tears. Hit listen to them.
- 39:36Speaker 9: It's at them. It's not funny, but I mean it's
- 39:38Speaker 9: just like three years, it just they were the team
- 39:42Speaker 9: and then they just injuries got them. Injuries got them,
- 39:45Speaker 9: and now you look at them and you think, Okay,
- 39:48Speaker 9: are they gonna Can the partners catch them? Can can
- 39:52Speaker 9: they stay? I still think they're gonna be a contender
- 39:55Speaker 9: for the playoffs, but they're looking up at Seattle and
- 39:58Speaker 9: the Rams at least the startcy.
