- 0:01why all the hate for laura horvat and
- 0:06jeff adler we're going to talk about that
- 0:08next
- 0:19I love the chase and the hunt,
- 0:21and I set the pace when I'm running.
- 0:22I always take what I want,
- 0:24and I always give it one hundred.
- 0:25Don't need a bank, no I'm funded.
- 0:27Play the game like it's nothing.
- 0:28I'm always thankful for something.
- 0:30Don't take for granted, stay humble.
- 0:31Now wake up!
- 0:33It's time to look at the enemy.
- 0:35Look in the mirror if he is no
- 0:37friend to me.
- 0:39What's going on everybody?
- 0:40It is, as Trent Oliver says, lunchtime!
- 0:45What's going on?
- 0:47We got clock.
- 0:47We got Ken.
- 0:48We got Vicki trained olive.
- 0:51We got Corey Leonard in the house.
- 0:54What is going on?
- 0:55Everybody.
- 0:56What a day, man.
- 0:58Meetings all freaking morning.
- 1:00I hate, hate meetings.
- 1:02I know I've said it on here a
- 1:03million times.
- 1:05I hate them.
- 1:06I hate them.
- 1:07I hate them.
- 1:09Um,
- 1:10I think we could get so much more
- 1:11accomplished if we didn't have the
- 1:13meetings.
- 1:14Um, so yeah.
- 1:19Anyway, I'm here.
- 1:20Got another meeting at one o'clock,
- 1:22so probably not going to be a super
- 1:24long show today.
- 1:25We're going to hit a couple topics and
- 1:27get on out of here.
- 1:29But off the top,
- 1:33two shows I want to talk about that
- 1:34I've been watching.
- 1:36I finished one.
- 1:37Well, it's actually three shows.
- 1:39I finished two of them to where they
- 1:41are.
- 1:42I'm caught up on the third.
- 1:44So I'm going to start with Tulsa Kings.
- 1:47I've been watching that since it started.
- 1:51Super pumped about where it's going.
- 1:57The villain they have for season three.
- 2:00I think it's, his name is Robert Patrick.
- 2:02He played the T two thousand in Terminator
- 2:06two or the T one thousand.
- 2:11He has been so good as the villain
- 2:13this season on Tulsa Kings and the turn
- 2:18in the subject matter has been really
- 2:19fascinating to me.
- 2:21And usually like in seasons one and two,
- 2:25I just kind of catch it during the
- 2:26week where I can.
- 2:28And this season is like,
- 2:29as soon as it's available,
- 2:53All right, I'm back, I think.
- 2:57Man,
- 2:57StreamYard has been acting goofy today.
- 3:03So anyway, I think we're back.
- 3:06Cheryl told me she was having trouble this
- 3:08morning with her show too,
- 3:10so I think it's a StreamYard issue.
- 3:14So yeah, Robert Patrick, great villain.
- 3:18Corey Leonard says, gosh, dang.
- 3:30It's weird,
- 3:31like I have to go out and come
- 3:32back in from the studio in.
- 3:34What is so weird?
- 3:41I hope this isn't the whole show.
- 3:46So anyway...
- 3:49It's all good.
- 3:52Really enjoying the show.
- 3:54I think Stallone is better this year.
- 3:55I think the cast of characters are
- 3:57developing more than they have in previous
- 3:59seasons.
- 4:00And I would put this season up as
- 4:02probably their best season so far.
- 4:05So that is the best show I've probably
- 4:09seen this year so far.
- 4:12The other show I've been watching,
- 4:13there's two of them,
- 4:14and I'm lumping them together because of
- 4:16what they've done to me,
- 4:18and that is I watched a show on
- 4:20Prime called Countdown,
- 4:22and it's about a bunch of misfit law
- 4:25enforcement agents from different
- 4:27entities.
- 4:27Some are from the FBI.
- 4:28Some are from LAPD.
- 4:30Some are from DEA, all over the place,
- 4:33and they kind of bring them together,
- 4:35and it's a modern version, in my opinion,
- 4:37of the Dirty Dozen.
- 4:40If you've never seen that movie,
- 4:41it's a bunch of misfits who are basically
- 4:45expendable.
- 4:47But they're very talented at what they do,
- 4:50but they're brought together and the
- 4:51government doesn't really care what
- 4:52happens to them.
- 4:55So I watched the show Countdown.
- 4:59There's a nuclear bomb in L.A.
- 5:02somewhere.
- 5:03It's going to go off,
- 5:04and the season is trying to figure out
- 5:05who it is, what their intentions are.
- 5:07Can they find it?
- 5:08Can they dismantle it before it blows up
- 5:11in L.A.? ?
- 5:12And it's awesome.
- 5:14It sucked me in right away.
- 5:16I was there for it.
- 5:17It's a thirteen episode season.
- 5:20At episode ten they solve the nuclear bomb
- 5:24thing and then you move on to a
- 5:26second story.
- 5:28three episodes into that the thirteenth
- 5:30episode it ends with one of the main
- 5:33characters running away from the villain
- 5:37and the villain has her in his sights
- 5:39with the gun and it shuts off and
- 5:44and it's been cancelled so I'm never going
- 5:47to know what happens with that second
- 5:48story if you go to watch countdown just
- 5:51stop at episode ten stop at episode ten
- 6:01Man, there's talk about, no,
- 6:03I do not need,
- 6:07I do not need an OSU shirt,
- 6:09David Reed.
- 6:14It appears that every time I pull up
- 6:16a comment or remove a comment,
- 6:18it is shutting my camera down.
- 6:22this is frustrating so i'm gonna try to
- 6:26i'm gonna this is a a hangout show
- 6:30so um i'm i'm gonna try to do
- 6:33it without pulling up comments just to
- 6:35keep this going so the second show um
- 6:38other than countdown and i highly
- 6:40recommend the first ten episodes of
- 6:41countdown because you will get to a
- 6:43conclusion
- 6:45The second show I've been watching is Chad
- 6:47Powers.
- 6:48And if people don't know,
- 6:49there was an ESPN bit where Eli Manning
- 6:51went in makeup, went to Penn State,
- 6:54and went to the tryout disguised as
- 6:56another person.
- 6:58And he fooled the coaches and the other
- 7:00players.
- 7:02And so they've made a TV show out
- 7:03of it.
- 7:08And so...
- 7:09It, that show,
- 7:11it starts off really goofy and I didn't
- 7:13really care for it at first,
- 7:15but then it grew on me as the
- 7:16season went on.
- 7:18And at the very end,
- 7:19it's coming to this big climax and it
- 7:22total cliffhanger and it's done for the
- 7:24season.
- 7:25And no reports whether there's going to be
- 7:27a season two.
- 7:29And my wife is like,
- 7:30stop picking these shows.
- 7:31I'm tired of ending like this.
- 7:34It's ridiculous.
- 7:37Vindicate says Designated Survivor did
- 7:38something similar.
- 7:40Just ended with no clue.
- 7:41Yeah, I know.
- 7:42I watched all of Designated Survivor.
- 7:44Loved the first couple seasons.
- 7:47Hated the last season.
- 7:49Hated it.
- 7:51uh joseph ramirez says house of cards was
- 7:53similar not a great ending um so yeah
- 7:58so if you're gonna watch those shows i
- 8:00would wait to see um
- 8:05I'd wait to see if Chad Powers gets
- 8:07another season before watching it.
- 8:09And if you're going to watch Countdown,
- 8:11stop at episode ten.
- 8:13Don't go on from there.
- 8:15I'm anxious to see what you guys are
- 8:16watching.
- 8:16The other show I'm anxious to get into
- 8:18is the new season of The Diplomat just
- 8:21released about a week or so ago.
- 8:23I've been watching that since its
- 8:24inception.
- 8:25I can't wait to see what that is.
- 8:27And The Landman is due up in just
- 8:28a week or two.
- 8:30So those two I'm really excited about.
- 8:34Can't wait to see where that goes.
- 8:38So with this StreamYard thing doing what
- 8:41it's doing,
- 8:41I'm going to try to share my screen.
- 8:44We'll see what happens.
- 8:47joseph ramirez says the newsroom was great
- 8:49but they also ended abruptly i love
- 8:52newsroom it's one of my favorite shows of
- 8:53all time i said this last week aaron
- 8:56sorkin who wrote that show wrote west wing
- 8:59wrote a few good men wrote studio sixty
- 9:02wrote sports night my favorite writer in
- 9:05television history uh john george i've
- 9:10decided to only watch shows with at least
- 9:12three seasons probably a safer bet
- 9:16Safer bet.
- 9:17Joseph Vermeer says he's a genius.
- 9:19Yes, Aaron Sorkin is a genius.
- 9:24Holly says the only new thing I've watched
- 9:26lately is a great British baking show.
- 9:28Never watched it.
- 9:33Kenneth DeLapp,
- 9:34I just watched Terminal List spinoff on
- 9:36Prime.
- 9:36It was all right.
- 9:38I tried to watch the first Terminal List
- 9:40season, and it was so...
- 9:43And what I mean by dark,
- 9:44I'm going to say it was dark.
- 9:47Not necessarily the subject matter,
- 9:48which was a little bit dark,
- 9:49but the screen itself was so dark,
- 9:52I have too many windows in my living
- 9:54room,
- 9:55and I could not watch it if there
- 9:58was the sun outside.
- 10:00My screen would just glare,
- 10:03and I could not see anything on the
- 10:05screen.
- 10:06It became unbearable,
- 10:10and I just had to shut it off.
- 10:14Uh, just for mirrors,
- 10:15the blacklist is a great show.
- 10:17I watched the first few seasons of that
- 10:19and enjoyed it.
- 10:20Uh,
- 10:20and then I think I just got bored
- 10:22with it a little bit.
- 10:24Um,
- 10:25or maybe life just got in the way
- 10:26and never really dove back in.
- 10:30So, all right,
- 10:31I'm going to try to share a screen
- 10:32and go to the next topic.
- 10:35Um,
- 10:35we'll see what happens with the stream
- 10:37yard thing today.
- 10:43so jenny from dense updates shared this on
- 10:47her story i'm going to try to blow
- 10:50this up a little bit and it was
- 10:54a reply to um the rogue invitational story
- 10:58list she did and this person zanzaldo
- 11:04adler and horvath winning is bad for the
- 11:06sport they rarely talk to media and when
- 11:08they do they're boring as hell
- 11:11one i i disagree with that and we'll
- 11:13get into that in a second and then
- 11:14there's a response um from
- 11:20kiara santos word especially the lady and
- 11:25i was there the entire weekend seating
- 11:28front row all athletes without exception
- 11:30stopped or came to take photos with the
- 11:33fans right when the event finished and
- 11:35then they were walking out of the
- 11:36competition floor on the last day some
- 11:38people asked her for a photo and she
- 11:40passed running saying i have two of two
- 11:43more events guys
- 11:45And really,
- 11:47everybody else had two more events and
- 11:49stopped for twenty seconds to take a
- 11:50photo.
- 11:51Why she can't.
- 11:53She is very arrogant, in my opinion.
- 11:58So first the first comment,
- 12:00I don't think anybody winning is bad for
- 12:02the sport.
- 12:03It's just a different storyline,
- 12:05whether you like them or not,
- 12:07it gives you something.
- 12:09It gives us different storyline as to who
- 12:10you want to win or not,
- 12:12or who you want to,
- 12:14to get knocked off the pedestal or not.
- 12:19And that's all that is when, when,
- 12:24I've said since I've done this show,
- 12:27villains are good in the sport.
- 12:29If you don't like Adler and Horvath,
- 12:33they're just the villain.
- 12:34They're the people you want to lose.
- 12:39Watching sports is more than just wanting
- 12:41your team to win or your person to
- 12:42win.
- 12:43It also comes with there are teams out
- 12:46there that you want to lose.
- 12:49And so that's all this is.
- 12:53They're just building up a resume of maybe
- 12:56the people that you don't want to win.
- 12:58I like Jeff Adler.
- 13:00I want him to win.
- 13:02Is he the most charismatic guy in
- 13:04interviews and stuff?
- 13:05Probably not.
- 13:07But I like him a lot as a
- 13:08person.
- 13:09He's always been kind to me.
- 13:11Carolyn Lambre has always been kind to me.
- 13:13They were one of the first people to
- 13:14ever come on my show.
- 13:16I like them a lot,
- 13:17and I like when he wins.
- 13:20As for Horvat,
- 13:21I think she's good for the sport.
- 13:22I think she's great.
- 13:24Is she my favorite person?
- 13:25Do I root for her every week?
- 13:27No.
- 13:28But I think she's great for the sport.
- 13:30And I'm just tired of the, me personally,
- 13:33I'm tired of the Tia story.
- 13:35Win, win, win, win,
- 13:36win with no competition.
- 13:38I want to see Laura and Tia go
- 13:39head to head and see if something comes
- 13:44of that.
- 13:46Um, that's what I want.
- 13:47I want a competition for one time in
- 13:49the female division against Tia.
- 13:52That's what I want is a storyline.
- 13:56John George, I want Guy to lose.
- 13:58See,
- 13:59there's just as much fun and much as
- 14:01investment is rooting for people to lose
- 14:04as there is rooting for people to win.
- 14:06So I don't think there is ever a
- 14:09bad winner of an event.
- 14:11It's just finding your reason to like or
- 14:15not like.
- 14:16Now,
- 14:16what I'm going to say about this second
- 14:17piece is I think this is a very
- 14:19unfair statement.
- 14:21I've been at a lot of events right
- 14:23off of the runway coming off the floor
- 14:25doing interviews.
- 14:27It is a very delicate thing doing those
- 14:31interviews and taking their time coming
- 14:33off the floor.
- 14:35And you have to read the room and
- 14:37you have to read the person,
- 14:39especially on Sunday of an event.
- 14:43Sunday is when it's all coming to a
- 14:45head.
- 14:46Laura has close to three hundred thousand
- 14:49dollars on the line going into those
- 14:51events on Sunday.
- 14:54The turnaround time shortened on Sunday
- 14:57from Friday and Saturday.
- 14:59So the time to get back,
- 15:00time to get cooled down,
- 15:02time to get nourished,
- 15:04time to get prepped for the next event
- 15:06becomes shorter and shorter.
- 15:09there were several athletes when I was in
- 15:13those positions that would not do
- 15:15interviews on Sunday because the
- 15:17turnaround time was too fast and they
- 15:19needed to get back to the warmup area.
- 15:22And I think the same can be said
- 15:24as for the fans and their interaction with
- 15:28the fans.
- 15:29I watched on the stream and saw Laura
- 15:31sign autographs.
- 15:32I saw Laura take selfies during the
- 15:35weekend when she was waiting at the finish
- 15:37line.
- 15:39So there are reasons why this is going
- 15:43to happen.
- 15:44And you have to be understanding of that.
- 15:46This is their job.
- 15:47This is where they're trying to make
- 15:49money.
- 15:50And the gaps between places in those first
- 15:52ten spots is massive.
- 15:57Plus, she's trying to win.
- 15:59She was in first place.
- 16:00She was trying to keep the lead.
- 16:02And she was trying to stay focused on
- 16:03all that.
- 16:05So...
- 16:08That's all I wanted to clear up with
- 16:12that.
- 16:13I think that's an unfair statement.
- 16:15I think that Laura takes a lot because
- 16:17people just don't like her.
- 16:19And that's their choice to not like her,
- 16:24right?
- 16:25But I think she is good for the
- 16:26sport.
- 16:27She does give someone for people to root
- 16:29against.
- 16:30I want her to compete so she can
- 16:32take on Tia and let's see what a
- 16:36real competition looks like.
- 16:41Holly says, I like them both.
- 16:42They just both seem stoic and focused.
- 16:46Um, John George says, agree.
- 16:49I don't know what to,
- 16:50I didn't see when it came up.
- 16:55Um,
- 16:59Vicky says, I respect that in the moment,
- 17:01but I don't like either of them,
- 17:03to be honest.
- 17:04And that's your prerogative.
- 17:05You don't have to like them.
- 17:07But I think you can understand what
- 17:10they're going through in that moment.
- 17:12I met Laura,
- 17:14I haven't seen her much in person just
- 17:17because the security at the games is so
- 17:20much tighter than it is at like in
- 17:21a regional event or a semifinal event or
- 17:24something like that.
- 17:25But she came to Columbus to do one
- 17:27of the open announcements and she was
- 17:30awesome with the fans.
- 17:31She signed autographs for forty five
- 17:34minutes after the event.
- 17:36With everybody taking selfies,
- 17:38taking pictures.
- 17:39And she went around the entire outside of
- 17:42the perimeter of the floor and signed
- 17:45everybody's autograph,
- 17:46took pictures with everybody.
- 17:49So I've seen her in spots where she's
- 17:52done more than should be asked of a
- 17:55person to do that.
- 18:00Train all of the fans can't be greedy.
- 18:02Sometimes it's just not the right time.
- 18:05It's not about the fans in that scenario.
- 18:07And I'm a fan.
- 18:08I agree.
- 18:10And I had like, honestly,
- 18:12it's really hard for me backstage to know
- 18:15when to interrupt because they're in a
- 18:18focus and I don't want to be the
- 18:20one that breaks any of that, right?
- 18:24Having full access at the games was really
- 18:27cool,
- 18:27but it's also very stressful because I
- 18:29don't want to do anything to mess with
- 18:31where they're at.
- 18:34And Lucy Campbell, I,
- 18:36we were having a talk and she's just
- 18:37like, Hey,
- 18:38if I'm on the cool down bike,
- 18:39it's a perfect time.
- 18:41And,
- 18:42and it would be cool if you knew
- 18:43that about every single athlete,
- 18:45but you just don't,
- 18:46you have to kind of read the room,
- 18:48read the body language and try to figure
- 18:50out if it's the right, right thing.
- 18:55Clock.
- 18:55Yep.
- 18:56Tia and Laura,
- 18:57as well as the hard charging up and
- 18:59comers who seem to be getting closer could
- 19:01make for a great women's games.
- 19:03We can also boo Laura at the same
- 19:05time.
- 19:05Yes.
- 19:07Yes.
- 19:07I don't care if you like Laura.
- 19:09I'm not here to advocate for her or
- 19:11to build up fans.
- 19:13I'm just here to give you an understanding
- 19:17as to where they're at.
- 19:18Sunday is the most stressful day.
- 19:21One,
- 19:22it's where they're competing for the
- 19:24finals.
- 19:25And then comes the drug testing too,
- 19:28which puts them in a different mood as
- 19:29well.
- 19:30And so it's just a different day to
- 19:32be dealing with all that stuff.
- 19:34And then if you can catch them after
- 19:36drug testing and they're leaving the
- 19:37facility,
- 19:38most of them are in a tremendous mood.
- 19:46John George,
- 19:47why do people still feel a need to
- 19:49get an autograph?
- 19:50What's the purpose?
- 19:52I think it's just a memento.
- 19:53I mean,
- 19:53I think it's shifted more to the selfie
- 19:55world than it is an autograph these days.
- 19:59But this thing I'm in,
- 20:00this studio I'm in,
- 20:02used to be a man cave and I
- 20:03used to have autographed stuff everywhere.
- 20:07And I sold it all off to get
- 20:09cameras to do this now.
- 20:14And I did it because I...
- 20:16It just was a memory.
- 20:17It's a way to track a memory.
- 20:19And I kept everything.
- 20:21Everything I had was at least twenty five
- 20:23years old when I sold it.
- 20:25And it was for my enjoyment.
- 20:28And I just it was like a memento
- 20:29and showed a moment in time to snap
- 20:32a memory for me.
- 20:36And then I have the all these shirts
- 20:37are autographed behind me.
- 20:39by the athlete who gave them to me.
- 20:42So, yeah,
- 20:44it's just a snapshot in time for me,
- 20:46I think.
- 20:55Chris Beesterfield has an autograph for
- 20:56Walter Payton Ball.
- 20:58You don't have to give that to me.
- 21:00But it was really cool,
- 21:01and it's cool that you showed me that
- 21:02on the show.
- 21:04Did anyone complain about Matt?
- 21:05Because I'm sure he was stopping for
- 21:07selfies.
- 21:08Oh, that one.
- 21:10I'm sure he wasn't stopping for selfies
- 21:13during the competition.
- 21:15I agree.
- 21:15I don't think Matt was during the
- 21:16competition.
- 21:17Matt was very focused.
- 21:20And I'm sure people complained about him
- 21:22at the time,
- 21:22but there weren't as many media outlets as
- 21:25there are today.
- 21:26So it probably didn't get the hype it's
- 21:29getting today.
- 21:31And Matt was this likable villain.
- 21:33He was the anti-rich people were looking
- 21:36for something different at the time.
- 21:38So he kind of became wildly popular
- 21:40initially.
- 21:41And I don't think people were looking to
- 21:42trash him.
- 21:45Uh, Vicki says, I get it.
- 21:46Or right after, uh,
- 21:50even sometimes can be hard because they're
- 21:52out of it.
- 21:53I think I dislike them because they're
- 21:55closed off.
- 21:56Even on the WFP docs, they either won't,
- 21:59they either won't or aren't very deep.
- 22:02I thought Laura was deeper on her WFP
- 22:05doc.
- 22:06I really enjoyed that.
- 22:08Um, but we can agree to disagree.
- 22:12I thought, um, but I, I agree.
- 22:15She's very private.
- 22:16She doesn't let much in.
- 22:18Um,
- 22:20so uh ken walters why would anyone sell
- 22:26sports memorabilia or autographs yeah ken
- 22:28has made a lifetime job of that john
- 22:36george i'll get your autograph if i ever
- 22:37get to meet you in person uh it's
- 22:40about it actually devalues whatever i sign
- 22:43so just know that um
- 22:49David Reed,
- 22:50the Mayhem team athletes do an amazing job
- 22:52of fan interaction.
- 22:55I think a lot of the athletes do
- 22:56an amazing job,
- 22:58but I will tell you that the tone
- 23:00is different on a Sunday at an event,
- 23:02especially like a big event where it's
- 23:05very, very meaningful.
- 23:09So, Joseph Ramirez,
- 23:12the biggest difference is the attitude
- 23:14Horvath gives off a negative vibe most of
- 23:16the time.
- 23:20But that's okay.
- 23:22That's okay.
- 23:22Some people, I mean,
- 23:25we talked about the Tulsa Kings off the
- 23:26top, right?
- 23:28The hero in that story is a mobster,
- 23:30a mobster who spent years and years in
- 23:32prison for things he had done.
- 23:36And we root for him.
- 23:37We root for him, right?
- 23:39There are people out there that love Laura
- 23:41and love the attitude and love the I
- 23:44don't give a shit and I'm going to
- 23:47take on all comers and I'm going to
- 23:48do what I want to do.
- 23:50And that's why the world is awesome
- 23:52because some people love that and other
- 23:54people don't.
- 23:56And that's what makes sports great.
- 24:00Somewhere in here, someone said,
- 24:01Laura's the Cowboys of CrossFit.
- 24:04And that's a really good analogy.
- 24:06I hate the Cowboys.
- 24:08I root against the Cowboys every single
- 24:10Sunday.
- 24:11Hate them.
- 24:12But there are people that are diehard
- 24:14lovers of the Dallas Cowboys.
- 24:16And that's what makes the world so
- 24:18awesome.
- 24:32Train Olive.
- 24:32I don't think she's negative.
- 24:34Maybe just more introspective or
- 24:36introverted.
- 24:37The Eastern European vibe,
- 24:38according to Corey Leonard.
- 24:44Klanda says, I hate the Cowboys,
- 24:46but I have Dak on my fantasy team.
- 24:49Yeah, me too.
- 24:52i'm with you on i have i'm in
- 24:53two leagues this year uh and i one
- 24:57i have dac and i i hate playing
- 25:00him cory says he says he should drive
- 25:05over to brandon luckett's house and video
- 25:08himself making brandon uncomfortable by
- 25:10asking him for his autograph yeah there
- 25:12are people that uh that hate the attention
- 25:15of it all um
- 25:22John George wants everybody to have a
- 25:24jazzy day.
- 25:25It's awesome.
- 25:29so the last thing I want to talk
- 25:30about,
- 25:30and I do have to run early today
- 25:32and I apologize for that, um,
- 25:34is on Dave's week in review.
- 25:37Uh, it was really cool that I,
- 25:38that Hiller was like right off camera.
- 25:41Um,
- 25:41but the thing that I learned that I'm
- 25:42really excited about is that Hiller is
- 25:45staying in Korea for a little bit longer
- 25:48than Dave.
- 25:49So he can do his documentary style with
- 25:52Shung Young Choi to do this with a
- 25:56Korean athlete.
- 25:56Who's been, um,
- 26:00a competitor at the CrossFit Games year
- 26:02over year.
- 26:05And this was a person who qualified in
- 26:08Europe, not Asia.
- 26:10She went to Europe and qualified for the
- 26:12Games because she's good enough to do
- 26:15that,
- 26:16to get an inside look at how they
- 26:18train in Korea and how she does things
- 26:20over there.
- 26:22And what that culture is like in the
- 26:24process of this thing, I think,
- 26:26could elevate Hiller to another level.
- 26:29And I'm really excited to see what the
- 26:31end product is,
- 26:32because I think Shung Young Choi actually
- 26:34speaks pretty fluent English.
- 26:37So it'll be a great documentary into the
- 26:41insights of all of that and what goes
- 26:43on.
- 26:44in those Asian countries for CrossFit and
- 26:49training for the CrossFit Games.
- 26:50It's been fun watching the stories of both
- 26:52Dave and Hiller as they visit different
- 26:55CrossFit gyms and how they look just like
- 26:59the inside of an American CrossFit gym.
- 27:03Just maybe some different lighting or
- 27:05some... But it's really like a rig,
- 27:08a mat, and...
- 27:12barbells, weights, and dumbbells.
- 27:18Um, so it's going to be fun.
- 27:26Uh,
- 27:26Corey making a pun saying that John Young
- 27:28Choi is his favorite Asian CrossFitter.
- 27:32Uh, what about, uh, isn't it?
- 27:35John, John Young or DeJong, you know,
- 27:38something like that.
- 27:39There's one that's like really close to
- 27:41the same.
- 27:42But Shung Young Choi was,
- 27:46if you remember Charlie from the show,
- 27:48and he hangs out in the chat periodically,
- 27:51he loved Shung Young Choi back in like
- 27:54the twenty two CrossFit games.
- 27:57And so we've been following her ever since
- 27:58because of that.
- 28:00He just loved how she was.
- 28:02And I just think that.
- 28:07Uh, it's going to be an,
- 28:08a really cool documentary and I can't wait
- 28:11to see what he does with this because
- 28:13not only do you have the life of
- 28:16this CrossFitter,
- 28:17but you have the cultural differences and
- 28:20all of that going on.
- 28:22Um, so that's going to be fun.
- 28:26Can't wait for that.
- 28:29Uh, Aaron Frazier says,
- 28:31Taylor is my favorite Asian CrossFitter.
- 28:34Uh,
- 28:36Uh, below, so Vaughn said at best,
- 28:39Laura is a great person.
- 28:40Just doesn't have a great personality.
- 28:44I can see that.
- 28:46Honestly,
- 28:46like when she was here for the open
- 28:48announcement,
- 28:49she was so cool with the fans.
- 28:52She was very giving of her time.
- 28:55I think it's just catching her at the
- 28:56right moment.
- 28:57And I think she really grieved a lot
- 28:59about the Lazar death at the games in
- 29:02twenty four.
- 29:03And because of that,
- 29:04it made her very angry at a lot
- 29:07of things.
- 29:08And from that point forward,
- 29:09her attitude about things changed
- 29:11dramatically.
- 29:13And I saw a lighter,
- 29:16more carefree Laura at Rogue this year
- 29:19than I've seen in years past.
- 29:26Mike DeVito says,
- 29:27I have two friends that call themselves
- 29:29the Choi boys.
- 29:31There you go.
- 29:35so um i think that's about all i
- 29:38have for today um tomorrow we will have
- 29:44uh
- 29:46Tomorrow we'll have Corey on.
- 29:47We'll have a little Cajun flavor to the
- 29:49show.
- 29:52Have some fun tomorrow with him.
- 29:54Don't forget to like and subscribe to the
- 29:56channel.
- 29:57We really appreciate that.
- 29:58It helps the algorithm so, so much.
- 30:01Tell your friends we're here every day at
- 30:04twelve fifteen p.m.
- 30:05Eastern time to brighten your day a little
- 30:09bit.
- 30:10I know, Jody.
- 30:11I have a meeting today,
- 30:12so I have to cut it short.
- 30:15It's a one-on-one with my boss,
- 30:17so I cannot miss that time because I
- 30:23want to be able to keep doing these
- 30:24shows.
- 30:26Yeah, get us to three K subscribers.
- 30:29Yeah,
- 30:29YouTube's doing some cleanup on the
- 30:30subscribers.
- 30:31So we've taken a little hit this week,
- 30:34but we're still really close to the three
- 30:38K and hopefully we can get there soon.
- 30:42With that, guys, love you all.
- 30:44Love when you're here.
- 30:45Love when we get to hang out.
- 30:50Oh, Shanna says, good luck with that.
- 30:54My boss is cool.
- 30:55I like my boss a lot,
- 30:56and we have one-on-one every two weeks.
- 30:59It's not that the meeting's going to be
- 31:00bad.
- 31:01I just cannot miss the start time.
- 31:03So with that, guys,
- 31:06have a great rest of your day,
- 31:08and we'll be back here tomorrow again for
- 31:11Lunch with Clydesdale.
- 31:12Love you all.
- 31:13See you then.
- 31:14Bye, guys.
