  Speaker 4: not favorite, but top two, top three holidays because just

  Speaker 4: the gluttonous nature of humanity now kind of caters to this.

  Speaker 4: And I've already checked with the family to make sure

  Speaker 4: that it's not just turkey. We got to, like, I
• 1:19
  Speaker 4: have to have ham on Thanksgiving, So grandma and mother
• 1:23
  Speaker 4: in law are making sure that there is a ham
• 1:26
  Speaker 4: in the oven for me while everybody else engulfs the turkey.

  Speaker 2: So it's funny, and we've probably had this discussion every
• 1:33
  Speaker 2: year we talk about this show and talk about the
• 1:35
  Speaker 2: holiday on this show. I feel like it switches at
• 1:40
  Speaker 2: some point, maybe like in my early twenties for me,
• 1:44
  Speaker 2: and I am still to this day a big Christmas guy.

  Speaker 2: Literally behind me as I record the show. We put
• 1:50
  Speaker 2: our Christmas tree up this week. But at some point,
• 1:54
  Speaker 2: as you get older, you switch from Christmas to Thanksgiving,
• 1:58
  Speaker 2: or at least I did. Were you the same way

  Speaker 2: because Thanksgiving? Like I'm super hyped for Thanksgiving right now

  Speaker 2: because I love Thursday. I love the food. We typically
• 2:09
  Speaker 2: play a football game, not sure if we're going to
• 2:11
  Speaker 2: be able to do that yet because of the weather
• 2:13
  Speaker 2: forecast it's going to be hitting us in the area.

  Speaker 2: And then I just watch football all day. My packers
• 2:19
  Speaker 2: are playing on Sunday or Thursday night, which I'm excited about.

  Speaker 2: But this at some point, Doctor Trey, unless you always
• 2:27
  Speaker 2: were a Thanksgiving guy, I feel like for most people,
• 2:30
  Speaker 2: like the older you get, this becomes the holiday.

  Speaker 4: For most of us, it shifts back and forth, especially when.

  Speaker 1: You have kids. Because good point.

  Speaker 4: Like when I was younger, when I was you know,

  Speaker 4: a kid, and even to my early teens, I love Christmas.

  Speaker 4: And then you know, once you get a certain age,

  Speaker 4: your parents have no idea what to get you anymore.

  Speaker 4: It kind of loses that luster a little bit, so

  Speaker 4: you kind of drift over to Thanksgiving because as a teenager,

  Speaker 4: dear God, I can just eat a ton of food

  Speaker 4: and not really gain any weight from it. And it
• 3:02
  Speaker 4: kind of stayed that way until the kids came along,
• 3:04
  Speaker 4: and then you kind of get that joy of Christmas

  Speaker 4: back with the kids. But like right now, like it's

  Speaker 4: funny as you bring that up, Like my nephew looked
• 3:16
  Speaker 4: at his grandma yesterday and goes, Grandma, I don't like
• 3:19
  Speaker 4: Thanksgiving because it's all about adults eating and talking and
• 3:23
  Speaker 4: that's it. And I was like, no, that's literally what
• 3:25
  Speaker 4: Thanksgiving is. Just hang out with some people that you
• 3:28
  Speaker 4: that you moderately to actually like tell stories, eat a
• 3:33
  Speaker 4: bunch of food, and hopefully pass out at home and
• 3:37
  Speaker 4: not at somebody else's house, which actually does harken back
• 3:41
  Speaker 4: to your teenage years.

  Speaker 2: Yes, very very true. This is the holiday that has
• 3:45
  Speaker 2: it's like you have a day for the holiday itself
• 3:48
  Speaker 2: and then you have a day to recover and just
• 3:52
  Speaker 2: it's an immediate four day weekend. Every other holiday unless
• 3:56
  Speaker 2: it falls like the day before a weekend. On a weekend, you,
• 4:01
  Speaker 2: I think Christmas is a Wednesday this year, So Christmas
• 4:04
  Speaker 2: is on a Wednesday, then I think, I think Thursday.

  Speaker 2: I mean, I'm working, it's it's a slow day. But
• 4:13
  Speaker 2: it's like you only get one day in the middle
• 4:15
  Speaker 2: of the week. Like it's always that the super Bowl debate.

  Speaker 2: They've always said where on super Bowl Sunday should be
• 4:23
  Speaker 2: a national holiday and the day after the super Bowl
• 4:26
  Speaker 2: should be a day off for most people. So I

  Speaker 2: guess it's like you got the main event and then

  Speaker 2: you got a day to recover. It's I don't think

  Speaker 2: that there is a better holiday, and I agree with you.

  Speaker 2: It probably will change for me when like my son

  Speaker 2: gets older, But right now, I'm I'm still I'm still

  Speaker 2: all about Thanksgiving.

  Speaker 4: My issue is with the business I'm in and being

  Speaker 4: involved in retail.

  Speaker 1: I don't get the Friday off because of.

  Speaker 4: Black Friday boom I have I have folks Now, Luckily,

  Speaker 4: you don't have to be in store when the store

  Speaker 4: is open, because look, nobody's gonna want to stop and

  Speaker 4: talk to us about gutters first thing in the morning.

  Speaker 4: We got to wait till that ten o'clock eleven o'clock.

  Speaker 4: We got wait for the people that have already hit

  Speaker 4: like three or four stores and they're just like, oh, yeah,

  Speaker 1: Some stuff to fix some stuff at the house.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, they got the Furbie the Cabbage Patch kid in

  Speaker 2: their hand and they come to you.

  Speaker 4: Yeah, they've already done that stuff. So for us, it's
• 5:23
  Speaker 4: kind of like I still gotta be out there. Luckily

  Speaker 4: right now, like you and I were talking about here,

  Speaker 4: I'm having to rebuild the division, so I only have
• 5:29
  Speaker 4: a couple of people that are gonna be on the
• 5:31
  Speaker 4: field on that day. So I just have to be

  Speaker 4: the good manager and make sure they know I am

  Speaker 4: out there too and not sitting at home relaxing.

  Speaker 1: But you know, for for most folks, like you know.

  Speaker 4: My uh, the guy who took over for me in

  Speaker 4: my old district, he's taken a four day I mean,

  Speaker 4: we built that team up, he's taking the whole four

  Speaker 4: days off. He's taken off from Wednesday until Sunday, well one, two, three, four,
• 5:55
  Speaker 4: five days off, So he's going away for the entire
• 5:57
  Speaker 4: time and going out of town. I'm like, yeah, yeah,

  Speaker 4: if the other thing is I don't really have anywhere

  Speaker 4: else to go. I could go to North Carolina, but

  Speaker 4: really for me is like this is.

  Speaker 1: Kind of my home.

  Speaker 4: But look, I gotta get back to work and get

  Speaker 4: on the grind and kind of rebuild this thing. But

  Speaker 4: for those folks to get to take the four days,

  Speaker 4: the five days, the six days, whatever it is. Man,

  Speaker 4: depending on what part of the country you're in. And

  Speaker 4: make the devil eggs out, that's fine because I'll make

  Speaker 4: a bunch for everybody who's coming to the thing, and

  Speaker 4: then I'll make another plate just to keep it home.

  Speaker 1: But those are my three goes go tos.

  Speaker 4: It's funny that back when I was traveling and I

  Speaker 4: would go to the Northeast, my friend Jordan. I would

  Speaker 4: sometimes be stuck in Massachusetts Rhode Island on Thanksgiving and

  Speaker 4: he would always invite me over to his family's house

  Speaker 4: and his mother made this like sausage onion stuffing and

  Speaker 4: it was the best thing I was having, and I
• 7:23
  Speaker 4: used to this day. I'll text him like, I know

  Speaker 4: your mom's still alive, So I'm not going to ask

  Speaker 4: for the family recipe yet, but just just reminder I

  Speaker 4: need that recipe at some point to make it down here.

  Speaker 4: I don't know if it's their family is Ukrainian, I believe,
