Newsday's Maura McDermott discusses Dept. of Ed layoffs, Separating Art from Artist (3/13/25)
Audio from Thursday, March 13th, 2025's episode of 'The Recess Bell: On Air', which airs live every Thursday evening at 9pm on 90.3 WHPC-FM. Joshua, NikiMarie, ErikSincere, and Ny (making her TRB debut) discuss the stunning news of the Federal Department of Education laying off nearly half their staff with Newsday Investigative Reporter Maura McDermott. Then they get to a commonly discussed topic -- is it feasible to "separate the art from the artist", given that so many extremely talented musicians have shown themselves to be objectively terrible people?
