- 0:02Speaker 1: And every office, every workplace, every job on Earth, not
- 0:08Speaker 1: just America, on Earth has the chatty Kathy in it. Okay,
- 0:12Speaker 1: I want you to think of that person at your
- 0:15Speaker 1: job right now.
- 0:16Speaker 2: There's always the dude joking around, chit chatting with everyone.
- 0:18Speaker 2: There's always the girl chit chatting, joking around with everyone.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Let us know who it is so we can call
- 0:23Speaker 1: him out this morning at seven oh one two eight
- 0:26Speaker 1: zero one nine eight seven. Because there's someone I need
- 0:28Speaker 1: to call out this morning and it is our very
- 0:31Speaker 1: own Angie.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Me.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I will let you know.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Not forty five minutes ago, Angie had asked me, Hey,
- 0:38Speaker 1: how much time do I have so I can run
- 0:40Speaker 1: to the bathroom?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Oh okay, It's like, oh, you got it, only four
- 0:43Speaker 2: minutes or whatever.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Angie proceeds to get up and instead of going to
- 0:48Speaker 1: the bathroom. This is the behind the scenes with Angie
- 0:51Speaker 1: that you need to start understanding and why I deserve
- 0:54Speaker 1: a medal. Okay, Angie gets up and instead of going
- 0:57Speaker 1: to the bathroom, goes to a different studio to start
- 1:00Speaker 1: chitchat someone in the studio.
- 1:04Speaker 4: And you know, okay, and Angie can't.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Just ask one quick question. Okay, there's about eighty follow ups,
- 1:11Speaker 1: which you know, you're a good friend, you're interested, you
- 1:14Speaker 1: care about people's lives.
- 1:15Speaker 2: But Angie has still yet to go to the bathroom.
- 1:18Speaker 2: And I've been hearing about this for forty five minutes.
- 1:21Speaker 4: That is true. I wow, I'm so called out right now.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Angie multiple times has come to me and been like, oh, hey,
- 1:29Speaker 1: don't let me into this prod studio or don't let
- 1:32Speaker 1: me into this part of the building with this person,
- 1:35Speaker 1: because all we do is talk for thirty minutes. I'm
- 1:37Speaker 1: starting to find a common denominator in all of these
- 1:41Speaker 1: thirty minute chit chats you're having, Angie, and it's you.
- 1:45Speaker 4: I'm the problems.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Person here eight zero one, nine eighty seven.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Who is that's the behind the scenes of Big ninety
- 1:53Speaker 1: eight point seven? Who is the Angie of your building?
- 1:57Speaker 4: I'm so how dare you?
- 2:00Speaker 3: What?
- 2:00Speaker 2: Get hit a little too on the ball for you? Yeah?
- 2:03Speaker 4: I mean, what do the kids say? You clocked me?
- 2:07Speaker 2: Exactly?
- 2:08Speaker 4: Who clocked me? The thing is, I don't want to
- 2:11Speaker 4: be rude, and so if I'm in the middle of
- 2:14Speaker 4: a conversation, who am I to let my bladder interrupt
- 2:18Speaker 4: someone answering a question that I.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Asked, Oh, you're a superhero, is what you're telling me?
- 2:24Speaker 1: Just this last friday. Here's another behind the scenes look
- 2:27Speaker 1: at Angie.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Just this last friday, Angie and I were doing some work.
- 2:30Speaker 2: We were getting some work done.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Someone comes in to talk to us about something potentially
- 2:33Speaker 1: fun with Big ninety eight point seven.
- 2:35Speaker 2: And then this.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Has nothing to do with our tiny little two minute
- 2:39Speaker 1: work meeting. Something that's brought up about the price is right,
- 2:43Speaker 1: So instead of continuing on with our chit chat about
- 2:47Speaker 1: potential fun time with Big ninety eight point seven, Angie
- 2:49Speaker 1: has seventy six questions about the prices.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Okay, you know what I want to have to do
- 2:54Speaker 2: with what we're doing right now.
- 2:55Speaker 4: It doesn't. But I'm gonna defend myself if you gonna
- 2:58Speaker 4: keep calling me out. Here's the thing I think the
- 3:00Speaker 4: great thing about me is like, this is what somebody
- 3:04Speaker 4: told me when they were hiring me a lot. When
- 3:06Speaker 4: I first got into radio and I was very first
- 3:09Speaker 4: being hired for my very first gig. The guy in
- 3:12Speaker 4: charge of hiring me, who ended up being my boss.
- 3:14Speaker 2: He said, buzzn't me.
- 3:15Speaker 4: He said what he loved about me is that I
- 3:21Speaker 4: can derail a conversation, but in a very fun way,
- 3:26Speaker 4: and that he would pair me with a coast who
- 3:29Speaker 4: could get me back on track. So it is not
- 3:31Speaker 4: my fault, Gabe, if you can't get me back on track.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I you know what, I like this one eighties spin Zonia,
- 3:37Speaker 1: turn this around back on.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Me, celebrating life's little victories victory every morning we practice
- 3:46Speaker 3: gratitude on big ninety eight point step.
- 3:48Speaker 2: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 3:50Speaker 2: basket joke busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I just really needed to win, you know.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one, two,
- 3:59Speaker 3: eight oh one, eight seven.
- 4:02Speaker 2: And we get started this morning with Marina.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Now this was from Friday, so I am stealing one
- 4:07Speaker 1: from last week. Okay, but you know what, we're starting
- 4:09Speaker 1: the day off positive anyway, Yes, all right, Marina on
- 4:13Speaker 1: Friday worked for one extra hour and then stayed within
- 4:17Speaker 1: her social media time limit. Maybe that's been a new
- 4:21Speaker 1: Year's resolution or something. Oh I like that, trying to
- 4:24Speaker 1: stay within you know, a couple minutes or an hour,
- 4:26Speaker 1: whatever it is on social media.
- 4:28Speaker 2: So good for you. I think that's kind of cool.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Let us know, is that a new year's resolution.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Marina, Or is that something you just decided to do
- 4:34Speaker 1: on a whim or what have you.
- 4:36Speaker 4: I mean, it's probably just a healthy habit to try
- 4:38Speaker 4: and you know create.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it's definitely a good one to add to the repertoire. Yes,
- 4:43Speaker 1: all right, Angie, do you have a little victory. You
- 4:45Speaker 1: have a couple of days to choose from.
- 4:47Speaker 2: I do.
- 4:48Speaker 4: I got outside in the world, like we got fresh air, Me,
- 4:53Speaker 4: Mikey and the kiddles. We went for a twenty minute
- 4:56Speaker 4: walk on Saturday. So that sounds like no long walk.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Kind of funny.
- 5:02Speaker 4: The thing is, ever since I had surgery, I feel
- 5:06Speaker 4: like my endurance is really low, and so it kind
- 5:09Speaker 4: of takes me a minute to you know whatever. But
- 5:13Speaker 4: the sun was out and I thought, no, no, no, I
- 5:15Speaker 4: can't just be inside, that's right. So we all went
- 5:18Speaker 4: on a walk and at one point we just stood
- 5:20Speaker 4: on the sidewalk looking up towards the sun with our
- 5:23Speaker 4: eyes closed, not directly at it all, kay, but soaking
- 5:26Speaker 4: up the rays of the sun. And it made me
- 5:29Speaker 4: feel like way better about life. It was so magical.
- 5:33Speaker 2: I'm happy for you. That's good.
- 5:35Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 5:35Speaker 4: Did you get out in the sunshine what's your little victory?
- 5:38Speaker 2: My little victory.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Yesterday, my wife and I right at i'd say like
- 5:42Speaker 1: two thirty three o'clock, we were both craving a milkshake
- 5:48Speaker 1: from McDonald's. Now I will say, was it a shamrock shake?
- 5:52Speaker 1: I will say, I don't need a ton of ice cream.
- 5:54Speaker 1: That's not really my jam. But once a blue moon,
- 5:57Speaker 1: I'm like, you know.
- 5:57Speaker 2: A milkshake from McDonald's sounds good.
- 6:00Speaker 1: So Corey got herself the shamrock shake nice, and I
- 6:04Speaker 1: got myself a medium chocolate shake, and then I went
- 6:07Speaker 1: and got a truck wash right after, Oh my god,
- 6:10Speaker 1: and I got to listen to the last like fifteen
- 6:13Speaker 1: minutes of the wild game. They were playing the Colorado Avalanche,
- 6:16Speaker 1: and for whatever reason, I couldn't figure out how to
- 6:18Speaker 1: watch it. They sports are impossible to find.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Now, are they on Amazon Prime? Are they on Hulu? HB?
- 6:25Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 6:26Speaker 4: You know, there's an app for that, well what it's
- 6:29Speaker 4: called sports on What? And it's like, where are they
- 6:33Speaker 4: playing this? The sport is playing on what channel? Sports
- 6:36Speaker 4: on what? It's an app.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I think you can just like search for it, to
- 6:39Speaker 2: be honest, but.
- 6:40Speaker 4: That it's easier with the app.
- 6:41Speaker 1: But I'm so confused because they're all so conjoined now
- 6:45Speaker 1: because it was on HBO plus, right, but I thought
- 6:48Speaker 1: we had that combined with Hulu.
- 6:50Speaker 2: I don't know. I couldn't figure out the game.
- 6:52Speaker 1: So either way, I got to listen to the last
- 6:54Speaker 1: little chunk of it while I ate or drank a
- 6:56Speaker 1: milkshake and got a truck wash.
- 6:58Speaker 2: That was Matt. Sounds like the perfect day, it really does.
- 7:08Speaker 5: Why Ah, you might be feeling that this morning now,
- 7:15Speaker 5: Daylight savings Time obviously occurred this weekend as we sprung
- 7:19Speaker 5: the clocks forward.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Now, a new poll shows Americans want to stop changing
- 7:26Speaker 1: the clocks for daylight saving time about sixty four percent,
- 7:30Speaker 1: So almost sixty five percent say the twice a year
- 7:35Speaker 1: time change needs to end, and only sixteen percent prefer
- 7:40Speaker 1: keeping the current system we have. If you are one
- 7:43Speaker 1: of those who wants to get rid of it, we
- 7:46Speaker 1: interviewed very special someone Yeah last week, and you can
- 7:49Speaker 1: go listen to that on the podcast That's Right.
- 7:51Speaker 4: We talked to miss Daylight Savings Time herself, and she
- 7:56Speaker 4: made a case for why we should not get rid
- 7:59Speaker 4: of her such an unserious program. In any case, I
- 8:03Speaker 4: feel like the thing is there's enough people that agree, Okay,
- 8:07Speaker 4: we don't want to do this anymore. Where the disconnect
- 8:10Speaker 4: is is which standard of time? Do we stick to
- 8:16Speaker 4: the one that that's where there's the disagreement, that's why
- 8:18Speaker 4: we can't move forward. Do we stick to the one
- 8:20Speaker 4: that it's darker longer, or do we stick to the
- 8:24Speaker 4: one that's lighter longer. I, as someone who has to
- 8:28Speaker 4: wake up at three thirty in the morning for work,
- 8:33Speaker 4: I would like it to be darker earlier.
- 8:36Speaker 1: So which one are we now? Right now we're on
- 8:39Speaker 1: daylight saving time. I'm glad we're saving the daylight. There's
- 8:43Speaker 1: more daylight. I'm glad you asked that question, Angie. If
- 8:45Speaker 1: the country had to choose one permanent time, most people
- 8:50Speaker 1: prefer the one right now three percent and only twenty
- 8:55Speaker 1: eight percent who prefer standard time.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Okay, well what are the other percentage people? They just
- 9:01Speaker 4: don't care.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Honestly, they probably didn't return the survey slip to be
- 9:05Speaker 1: honest with you, but that's a good question for you
- 9:08Speaker 1: this morning here on Big ninety eight point seven. Do
- 9:10Speaker 1: you prefer right now, okay, daylight saving time or fall
- 9:16Speaker 1: time or standard time? Where you know the extra hour
- 9:20Speaker 1: really makes it so we get more sun earlier and
- 9:22Speaker 1: not later, or do you prefer the sun later and
- 9:26Speaker 1: not earlier?
- 9:27Speaker 2: I could not disagree with Angie Moore.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I of course I want to keep it what it
- 9:32Speaker 1: is right now for all of eternity. I love watching
- 9:35Speaker 1: the sun go down at nine oh six in June.
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's wonderful.
- 9:38Speaker 4: The issue is that I try to be in bed
- 9:41Speaker 4: by seven pm, and last night it was so bright
- 9:47Speaker 4: because of daylight saving time. I obviously can't do anything
- 9:52Speaker 4: to change how it is now, So I'm sending Mikey
- 9:56Speaker 4: while we're at work right now, he's well, I guess
- 9:59Speaker 4: what time is it? As soon a store is open,
- 10:01Speaker 4: he's getting some blackout curtains for.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Us seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 10:07Speaker 1: If you had to pick, do you prefer daylight saving time,
- 10:10Speaker 1: which is what it is right now, or standard time
- 10:12Speaker 1: when we fall the clocks back in the fall. Let
- 10:15Speaker 1: us know your thoughts this morning on Big ninety eight
- 10:17Speaker 1: point seven. Also, just heads up today you probably won't
- 10:20Speaker 1: really feel that tired as you, I'm guessing got up
- 10:25Speaker 1: and get ready to go to work or whatever it
- 10:27Speaker 1: will be tomorrow. Today you look for yourself I'm tired today.
- 10:32Speaker 1: You will get through on adrenaline. Tomorrow, you'll get through
- 10:35Speaker 1: on red bull. Oh there's a new study that has
- 10:45Speaker 1: found older male humpback whales are more successful at finding
- 10:50Speaker 1: a mate than younger ones. And you might be going, oh, well,
- 10:53Speaker 1: that's kind of interesting, Gabe. How does that relate to me? Realistically?
- 10:57Speaker 1: If you look at this, Angie from a perspective, some
- 11:00Speaker 1: times things just get better with age.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Hump back whales are getting flirty and eighty.
- 11:07Speaker 1: What do you say flirting thirty?
- 11:11Speaker 2: Well, for humpback whales, it's flirty and eighty.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Okay, what are some things you have gotten better at
- 11:17Speaker 1: as you have gotten older? Let us know this morning
- 11:20Speaker 1: at seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven,
- 11:23Speaker 1: what's something you think you've gotten better at as you've
- 11:25Speaker 1: got older?
- 11:26Speaker 2: Angie? I know you don't.
- 11:27Speaker 1: You're not aging, thank you, but well you're getting older.
- 11:30Speaker 1: What have you gotten back?
- 11:31Speaker 4: Truthfully? Nothing, I'm not a real adult.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I will say that my.
- 11:37Speaker 4: Boyfriend Mikey is like a humpback whale because he got
- 11:43Speaker 4: better at picking a partner when he was older. Because
- 11:47Speaker 4: he so with me. Now that's okay, see, yeah, and
- 11:53Speaker 4: his previous two wives Bye, they were losers. No, I'm
- 11:56Speaker 4: just kidding. Look at that.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Mikey's like a humpback whale.
- 11:59Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly, and more ways than one. Anyway, let's keep
- 12:05Speaker 4: it moving.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Do you want to go to Shelley? We do have
- 12:07Speaker 1: Shelley on the phone. Shelley, what have you gotten better
- 12:09Speaker 1: at as you've gotten older?
- 12:10Speaker 2: Cooking without a recipe? In my twenties, like, i was
- 12:13Speaker 2: burning box mac and cheese, and now I'm just in
- 12:16Speaker 2: the kitchen like a wizard. Just a little garlic here,
- 12:19Speaker 2: a little lemon.
- 12:20Speaker 4: Just, oh, that feels right.
- 12:22Speaker 2: My kids think I'm a genius, but I'm really just
- 12:24Speaker 2: getting Confidently, I think.
- 12:26Speaker 4: She's a genius. I could never I need a detailed recipe,
- 12:31Speaker 4: and then I have to look at it several times
- 12:33Speaker 4: during the process just to make sure that I'm getting
- 12:36Speaker 4: it right, and then spoiler alert, I don't get it right.
- 12:40Speaker 4: So this is amazing, Shelley shocking.
- 12:42Speaker 2: What have I gotten better at as I've gotten older?
- 12:44Speaker 1: I was kind of thinking about this over the weekend
- 12:46Speaker 1: because I saw this story on Friday.
- 12:48Speaker 2: I think what I've gotten better about?
- 12:50Speaker 1: You know, when you're in your twenties, there's a phrase,
- 12:52Speaker 1: maybe even in your teens, I don't know, or maybe
- 12:54Speaker 1: your whole life. But there's this phrase where it's you
- 12:58Speaker 1: think the phone works both ways.
- 13:00Speaker 2: It's like you feel like you're the one always calling her.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I have just decided, as I've gotten old, I
- 13:07Speaker 1: couldn't care less If I'm the one who texts first
- 13:10Speaker 1: every single time, so be it.
- 13:11Speaker 2: It doesn't all, it doesn't bother.
- 13:13Speaker 5: No.
- 13:14Speaker 2: If I'm the one who calls every time, so be it.
- 13:17Speaker 1: You know, if I get to have a thirty minute
- 13:18Speaker 1: combo with a buddy I haven't talked to in a
- 13:20Speaker 1: handful of months, or whatever the case may be, I'm
- 13:23Speaker 1: just gonna call him. I got some time, I'll sit
- 13:25Speaker 1: here and make the phone call. The answers great, if
- 13:26Speaker 1: he doesn't, great. So I think I've gotten a lot
- 13:29Speaker 1: better at what would that be not being petty?
- 13:31Speaker 5: Now?
- 13:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I absolutely am not this way. This is impressive
- 13:36Speaker 4: to me. Game.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that that would be for sure what
- 13:39Speaker 1: I've gotten better at. I've gotten older and doing nothing
- 13:42Speaker 1: when I go home. I've gotten a lot better at that.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Being more of a homebody. You know, my wife's kind
- 13:46Speaker 1: of a homebody, and so I've kind of adapted some
- 13:49Speaker 1: of that, like, oh yeah, I don't feel like I
- 13:50Speaker 1: gotta go do something just because it's Friday or just
- 13:53Speaker 1: because it's Saturday. Sometimes just sitting here and doing nothing
- 13:56Speaker 1: is wonderful.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Okay. I think maybe that's what I have gotten better at,
- 14:00Speaker 4: is not having so much fomo. Yeah, yeah, I don't
- 14:03Speaker 4: have a fear of missing out anymore.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Andrew, what about you? What have you gotten better at
- 14:08Speaker 1: as you've gotten older? Like these humpback whales, I definitely
- 14:10Speaker 1: got better at two than my friends.
- 14:12Speaker 4: When I was younger, my friends were idiots, just a
- 14:14Speaker 4: bunch of punks that are always up to no good.
- 14:17Speaker 2: And today I have great friends that I would trust
- 14:19Speaker 2: with my life.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I think that's awesome if you can have just it's
- 14:22Speaker 1: what do they always say, quality over quantity?
- 14:24Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 14:24Speaker 1: Yeah, you'd rather have three besties die hards than like
- 14:29Speaker 1: fifteen okays, yeah exactly? Seven oh one two eight zero
- 14:34Speaker 1: one nine eight seven. What have you gotten better at
- 14:37Speaker 1: as you've gotten older? Let us know this morning, I'm
- 14:39Speaker 1: big ninety eight point seven.
- 14:43Speaker 2: This is am I the problem. It's me on the problem.
- 14:49Speaker 4: It's me.
- 14:50Speaker 3: We'll hear one side of the story, and with your help,
- 14:53Speaker 3: am I the problem decide if it's right or if
- 14:56Speaker 3: maybe you're the problem.
- 14:58Speaker 2: I'm hardly the problem. Ninety eight point seven.
- 15:02Speaker 4: All right, we had Adriana rite into us Hi, Angie
- 15:06Speaker 4: and Gabe. I'm Adriana. Something awkward happened at my friend's
- 15:10Speaker 4: wedding last week, and I may be overstepped, but I
- 15:13Speaker 4: felt like I had to say something. During the cake cutting,
- 15:16Speaker 4: her husband smashed cake into her face. But I know
- 15:19Speaker 4: for a fact she told him beforehand that she didn't
- 15:22Speaker 4: want that. She was super adamant, so when he did
- 15:25Speaker 4: it anyway, she was livid and they had a big
- 15:28Speaker 4: fight in the bridal suite for the rest of the reception.
- 15:32Speaker 4: When I talked to her before the honeymoon, she said
- 15:34Speaker 4: they were okay, but he didn't really apologize. This is
- 15:38Speaker 4: where I might have overstepped. I told her that this
- 15:41Speaker 4: could be a sign of a deeper problem and she
- 15:43Speaker 4: might want to seek couple's therapy, or maybe there's time
- 15:46Speaker 4: for an annulment, because it's a giant red flag for
- 15:50Speaker 4: your partner to dismiss your wishes and not even apologize.
- 15:54Speaker 4: Am I the problem for speaking up? Or am I
- 15:56Speaker 4: being a good girlfriend? Adrian h First of all, what
- 16:01Speaker 4: do you think seven oh one two eight one nine
- 16:04Speaker 4: eight seven did Adriana overstep or was this the right
- 16:07Speaker 4: thing to do? We also have this up on the
- 16:09Speaker 4: Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page. Adriana I was
- 16:13Speaker 4: with you unto you said that she maybe needs to
- 16:19Speaker 4: get an annullment. That's strong. That's strong because you're telling
- 16:23Speaker 4: your friend to quite literally leave her marriage before it's
- 16:26Speaker 4: even started. And it's not like he punched her in
- 16:30Speaker 4: the face, like he smashed cake into her face, which
- 16:34Speaker 4: is a thing that typically happens at wedding reception since
- 16:37Speaker 4: the beginning of time. And I get it. I know,
- 16:41Speaker 4: I know where you're coming from. Adriana. To me, that
- 16:44Speaker 4: does seem like a red flag. I don't love it,
- 16:45Speaker 4: But I don't know that you can tell your friend
- 16:47Speaker 4: she should get an annulment. I don't know, Gabe, what
- 16:52Speaker 4: do you think?
- 16:53Speaker 2: Annulment is crazy?
- 16:55Speaker 1: That's insane, But it's I think maybe Adriana just doun
- 16:59Speaker 1: the like this dude, and this was her chance to
- 17:02Speaker 1: like really try to stick it to him. I will say,
- 17:07Speaker 1: do not smash your wife's face with cake unless you
- 17:12Speaker 1: know that that's gonna be something at some point you
- 17:14Speaker 1: can laugh about if this is forever of all time,
- 17:17Speaker 1: you're gonna have to hear about remember that time you
- 17:20Speaker 1: smash my face with wedding care. Yeah, for the rest
- 17:22Speaker 1: of your life. You're gonna have to hear about that
- 17:24Speaker 1: at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Just don't do it. Not a good move.
- 17:27Speaker 4: Did you do that with Corey?
- 17:28Speaker 2: We didn't even have cake.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Oh oh that's right, you had donuts.
- 17:32Speaker 1: We had Yeah, we had state award winning donuts I remember, yeah,
- 17:37Speaker 1: And so not a good move by this dude. Okay,
- 17:40Speaker 1: but an a moment for a cake smash just crazy,
- 17:44Speaker 1: that's wild.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Well, you know what, maybe it depends on how expensive
- 17:48Speaker 4: the makeup was.
- 17:50Speaker 1: So if it was you know, like the five hundred
- 17:52Speaker 1: dollars makeup, no good. If it was if it was
- 17:55Speaker 1: the old at home in the mirror makeup.
- 17:57Speaker 2: No annulment?
- 17:58Speaker 1: Okay, fair enough. What do you think? One two eight
- 18:01Speaker 1: zero one nine eight seven? Should this guy have done this?
- 18:04Speaker 1: I'll say no, But like an annulment, I don't even
- 18:06Speaker 1: know if I know what an annulment is. It isn't
- 18:09Speaker 1: like you erase your marriage history books.
- 18:12Speaker 4: Yeah, basically, they've been married, never happened minutes exactly. That's
- 18:16Speaker 4: the only way you can get an annulment. Really.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Oh all right, well, let us know what you think.
- 18:20Speaker 1: This morning here on Big ninety eight point seven, we.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Had Adriana right into us and then I choked hang up.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Angie's just so caught up in emotion. She couldn't get
- 18:35Speaker 2: to the store, so Adriana ran into us.
- 18:38Speaker 4: She had a girlfriend who got married the other week.
- 18:41Speaker 4: The groom smashed cake into the bride's face when it
- 18:45Speaker 4: was cake cutting time, but the bride specifically requested that
- 18:49Speaker 4: not happened beforehand, and he did it anyway, so Adriana
- 18:53Speaker 4: and it led to a huge fight. Adriana took it
- 18:55Speaker 4: upon herself to let her friend know hate that's a
- 19:00Speaker 4: huge red flag that he didn't follow your wishes. So
- 19:03Speaker 4: you guys should go to couples therapy or get an annoment.
- 19:09Speaker 4: And she wants to know she's the problem for speaking up.
- 19:13Speaker 4: Oh brother, I think annulment is crazy, Julia said on
- 19:19Speaker 4: our Facebook page, because we have this up on there too.
- 19:22Speaker 4: Unsolicited advice is not usually well received, even if good intentioned.
- 19:27Speaker 4: I also think people can get cut up in the moment,
- 19:29Speaker 4: and telling her to get an annulment is an overreaction
- 19:32Speaker 4: to one bad moment. It doesn't mean he doesn't respect
- 19:36Speaker 4: her overall, but it definitely isn't okay that he did it.
- 19:39Speaker 4: I feel like that's where I'm at too. I think
- 19:42Speaker 4: Julia and I have the same thought process there. We've
- 19:46Speaker 4: got some texts in Yes.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Yes, we do.
- 19:49Speaker 1: This is from Tiffany in Morehead. She said, Team Adriana.
- 19:54Speaker 1: The issue isn't the cake, Angie, it's that he ignored
- 19:56Speaker 1: something she asked him not to do. I said to Angie,
- 19:59Speaker 1: by the way, I need to say that, she said,
- 20:02Speaker 1: that's a bad sign for a marriage. I think I'm
- 20:05Speaker 1: kind of somewhere in the middle here, like should this
- 20:07Speaker 1: guy have done this? Absolutely not, But annulment for a
- 20:12Speaker 1: cake in the face is crazy. We have Kelly, Kelly
- 20:16Speaker 1: from West Fargo. I think Adriana meant well, but telling
- 20:19Speaker 1: someone to consider an annulment right after their wedding is wild,
- 20:23Speaker 1: which I love reading because that's how we talked as well.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Here was a big nineteen point seven and then Ashley
- 20:28Speaker 1: out of more Head, she said, I'd be annoyed too,
- 20:30Speaker 1: but if my friend immediately started talking annulments, I'd probably
- 20:35Speaker 1: stop confiding in them.
- 20:37Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, Mandy said on Facebook. I think making
- 20:42Speaker 4: her aware of your concerns is fine, but leave it
- 20:44Speaker 4: at that. You've made your suggestion. She told you. They
- 20:47Speaker 4: talked and are fine. Adriana. I think the consensus is
- 20:51Speaker 4: that it's fine to make your you know, concerns be known,
- 20:56Speaker 4: but you gotta edit it, Okay, you gotta. You have
- 20:58Speaker 4: to think before you speak, because everyone seems to be
- 21:03Speaker 4: in agreement that, yes, maybe you should say something to
- 21:06Speaker 4: your friend if you feel that way, but annulment, that
- 21:11Speaker 4: was where you crossed the line. So if the question
- 21:14Speaker 4: is did you ever step, yeah, you did. But I
- 21:18Speaker 4: think everyone can agree that you are a thoughtful friend
- 21:21Speaker 4: that you're just you know, worried about her. I'll tell
- 21:23Speaker 4: you this right now when Mike and I get married,
- 21:25Speaker 4: because he better do put a ring on it. When
- 21:28Speaker 4: Mike and I get married, if he smashes cake into
- 21:31Speaker 4: my face, he does know that there will be an annulment,
- 21:33Speaker 4: because absolutely not.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Oh that means it's free and clear for me to
- 21:37Speaker 1: do it, all right, I will say too. I want
- 21:40Speaker 1: to know, Adriana, if you are listening this morning, which
- 21:43Speaker 1: I'm sure you are, do you not like this guy?
- 21:45Speaker 1: I want to know if there's like an underlying issue
- 21:47Speaker 1: where you just don't like him in general. Yeah, right,
- 21:50Speaker 1: send us an email back and get me like a
- 21:52Speaker 1: mini part two.
- 21:53Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, give us some more context.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Yeah, and maybe we can do a little part two tomorrow.
- 21:58Speaker 1: We'll see seven oh one two eight zero one nine
- 22:00Speaker 1: eighty seven. By the way, what do you think you
- 22:02Speaker 1: can text us, call us or let us know on Facebook?
- 22:11Speaker 1: There is this mother who has gone viral on the
- 22:14Speaker 1: internet for doing what, frankly a lot of us phone
- 22:18Speaker 1: addicts would do. Of course, her phone dropped and fell
- 22:22Speaker 1: into these freezing cold water. And what did she do, Angie?
- 22:26Speaker 1: Instead of going I'll just get a new one, no,
- 22:28Speaker 1: she went after right in after this. Yes, what is
- 22:32Speaker 1: the worst or where is the worst place you have
- 22:36Speaker 1: dropped a phone? Or maybe it could be like a
- 22:38Speaker 1: key or something else. Seven oh one two eight zero
- 22:42Speaker 1: one nine eight seven. I know you have a key
- 22:44Speaker 1: that ended up in a spot that wasn't greast.
- 22:46Speaker 4: In the sworm. Right. I'm still so mad about this
- 22:50Speaker 4: because where my mailbox is located in the neighborhood, it's.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Right above us, big yes.
- 22:59Speaker 4: And then I went to get the mail and whoop,
- 23:02Speaker 4: I dropped the key, the mail key with one of
- 23:05Speaker 4: my cars, one of the fobs for my car. Yeah,
- 23:08Speaker 4: just right down into the sore. And it took six
- 23:11Speaker 4: weeks for me to get a new mail key. I
- 23:13Speaker 4: was miserable about it, Like what an inconveniently placed? Who
- 23:17Speaker 4: chose that?
- 23:18Speaker 2: Satan?
- 23:19Speaker 1: That's what's so interesting because I don't know how like
- 23:21Speaker 1: plumbing works, but I know mailbox thing could be moved anywhay,
- 23:27Speaker 1: that could be any right.
- 23:28Speaker 4: I just don't understand where the thought process was. A
- 23:33Speaker 4: disgruntled planner of communities was like, this is where we're
- 23:37Speaker 4: putting this, Stephanie.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Where's the worst place you've dropped a phone or you
- 23:41Speaker 1: know something important?
- 23:42Speaker 5: The toilet at work?
- 23:44Speaker 4: And the worst part is it flushed automatically right when
- 23:48Speaker 4: it hit the water, so I had to explain to
- 23:50Speaker 4: it my phone was suddenly missing. That's why you act horrible.
- 23:57Speaker 1: I have the worst one of all time. And you
- 24:00Speaker 1: know what, I'm actually gonna get that to you in
- 24:01Speaker 1: a second. We do have Andrew on the phone. Andrew,
- 24:03Speaker 1: or did you drop.
- 24:04Speaker 4: Your phone a sewer?
- 24:05Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 24:06Speaker 2: It was. It was pretty bad.
- 24:07Speaker 3: I dropped it on the ground and just kicked it
- 24:09Speaker 3: right in the sewer in one motion, I had to
- 24:11Speaker 3: get on the ground and fish it out.
- 24:13Speaker 4: And let me tell you, I got rid of all
- 24:15Speaker 4: of my clothes and just got a new phone.
- 24:17Speaker 2: See that's the worst two.
- 24:19Speaker 1: When it happens in one quick, swift motion, you don't
- 24:21Speaker 1: even have a chance to react or no.
- 24:23Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like what just happened in my life?
- 24:26Speaker 1: Yeah, so I have the worst one of all time,
- 24:29Speaker 1: and I decided to just throw my whole life away
- 24:32Speaker 1: at this point. But I was at this town fair okay, okay,
- 24:38Speaker 1: in Wanona, Minnesota. You know, it's kind of like Happy
- 24:40Speaker 1: Harry's Red Fist, kind of something like that, you know,
- 24:43Speaker 1: And it was we were at the beer tent, listening
- 24:46Speaker 1: to the music, enjoying the couple of adult beverages, and
- 24:50Speaker 1: I had thrown my phone in the old back pocket, right.
- 24:53Speaker 1: But I don't know if it was like hanging on
- 24:57Speaker 1: for dear life or what happened. But I go to
- 25:01Speaker 1: go pee in this porta potty thing, and as I
- 25:05Speaker 1: turn to get the what's called sanitizer. Yeah, I don't
- 25:10Speaker 1: know if I like hit the wall. Maybe there was
- 25:12Speaker 1: some stumbling. I don't exactly know what happened. My toilet
- 25:15Speaker 1: my phone fell in the porta potty toilet, the worst
- 25:19Speaker 1: thing I've ever had. I mean had a town like
- 25:21Speaker 1: county fair kind of situation. So I decided I didn't
- 25:25Speaker 1: need a phone anymore. No, absolutely not day. And that
- 25:28Speaker 1: is to the from what I can tell, that phone
- 25:30Speaker 1: is still sitting in there, so I have no idea.
- 25:33Speaker 1: That was an absolute nightmare. There was no trying to
- 25:36Speaker 1: fish it out. There was no like any saving it
- 25:39Speaker 1: at that point. So I just didn't have a phone
- 25:42Speaker 1: for the remainder of I don't know the month until
- 25:44Speaker 1: I got paid next.
- 25:44Speaker 2: I was pretty young.
- 25:45Speaker 1: I was like twenty two, and when you're twenty two
- 25:48Speaker 1: with no phone at the beginning, it's a nightmare, you know,
- 25:51Speaker 1: you can't get out whatever. And then after a week
- 25:54Speaker 1: it's kind of liberating. You're like, oh, this is nice.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Could never be me. I need some good.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 26:09Speaker 3: good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Al and Mary Severson of Fargo, both are ninety three,
- 26:16Speaker 1: were named the first recipients of the Feggi Family Legacy
- 26:20Speaker 1: Award from United Way of cass Clay, recognizing their decades
- 26:24Speaker 1: of generosity and community involvement. Al's passion for fighting hunger
- 26:29Speaker 1: began as a child after seeing classmates bring lard and
- 26:32Speaker 1: mustard sandwiches to school, which inspired him to spend his
- 26:35Speaker 1: life helping others. The award was created by the daughters
- 26:39Speaker 1: of Noel and Judy Feggi, longtime United Watye supporters, who
- 26:43Speaker 1: donated more than one million dollars over twenty five years.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Both families share a commitment to giving back, believing that
- 26:50Speaker 1: those who are fortunate should help support their community. So
- 26:53Speaker 1: a big round of applause to Al and Mary today.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Huge congratulations to them and an awesome way to get
- 27:01Speaker 1: recognized for incredible things they're doing right here in the
- 27:04Speaker 1: FM area.
- 27:04Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, we're like United Way is very near
- 27:08Speaker 4: and dear to our hearts. That's a big ninety eight
- 27:10Speaker 4: point seven And growing up, it was the United Way
- 27:14Speaker 4: that helped my family when we were going through times
- 27:17Speaker 4: of need, and so it's really awesome to see so
- 27:19Speaker 4: many other community members do the same and.
- 27:22Speaker 1: We love to see it. Congratulations to Al and Mary.
- 27:26Speaker 1: The world is full of nice people. If you can't
- 27:28Speaker 1: find one, you gotta be one.
