Speaker C: Hey, this. When I tell you this is the place to be, is right here. Is right now. Is with us. And one of the most prolific, most dynamic, entertaining. Oh, man. We roll out the red carpet. We roll out the blue carpet. We roll out the black carpet. All three of those carpets is rolled out for this gentleman right here. If you pass him a microphone, he might do something with that.
• 1:16
  Speaker A: Yes, sir.
• 1:17
Speaker C: He might. And then he gonna make an album about it and he gonna put it out. Okay? This man is live. Undeniable. I want y'all to stand up, but this is time. We're gonna do something a little bit different. Put your phones down. Put the lighters away, right? I want y'all to stand up. And we just gonna put a l in the sky, and we're gonna turn it around because we're live. We're live. One of the most live is podcasts we got out here in the streets, right? Is can't. Can you talk to the people and let them know what it is?
• 2:05
Speaker A: Hey, what's was good? BTG Nation, it's your boy riders from the writers live podcast. I'm honored to be on this great platform with BTG for president.
• 2:17
  Speaker C: Here we go.
• 2:18
  Speaker A: What's Poppin?
• 2:19
Speaker C: Oh, man. Hey, you got it. You got it. If I'm not mistaken, I think you like, in the top ten richest podcasters, man. Is that true?
• 2:28
Speaker A: I hear that, but I don't know. Twelve cow, dolomite and King John and yourself. Y'all might have me beat.
• 2:36
Speaker C: Oh, man, they filthy rich. I don't even. I can't. Man, look, the bag that I had to send over there to be on King Germ episode. Come on, man.
• 2:46
Speaker A: Oh, yeah. I barely got King Jam. Cause I had queen jerem on there. You know, she the star. But, you know, we in rotation.
• 2:55
Speaker C: Yeah, I get it. I get it. I mean, you a busy man. You be moving.
• 3:00
Speaker A: I'm trying to be like you, Baylor.
• 3:02
Speaker C: Oh, man, I ain't doing nothing but regular stuff, but you. You keeping it. Speaking of King Jarvis, he was just on the last episode. That bag must have been crazy. You know what I'm saying? You must have to play pray, pay a pretty penny. I notice you just said it. Only half of them can make it, because clearly, Queen germ is the more expensive one to get on the show.
• 3:24
Speaker A: Oh, yeah, no doubt. But I'm recouping right now. Bail. I'm recouping.
• 3:30
Speaker C: Okay. All right. Tell us about it.
• 3:33
Speaker A: So I'm happy to get my suit kitchen funds up to be here, sir.
• 3:39
Speaker C: Okay. All right, all right.
• 3:43
Speaker A: I'm eating chili right now.
• 3:45
Speaker C: Hey, man, go ahead. Eat some cornbread with that or some bread. You know? I'm saying you'll still. You'll stay full for a minute. Hey, humble beginnings. That's all I can say. Humble beginnings. Now, man, of yourself. I don't want to. I don't want to. I don't want to make this the. I don't want to say the wrong thing, but if I'm not mistaken, south side on yours, right?
• 4:06
Speaker A: Yes, sir. South side. Wow. Hunters.
• 4:09
Speaker C: See, that's what I'm saying. That's south side meets south Central. Okay.
• 4:16
Speaker A: It don't get no better than that.
• 4:18
Speaker C: Oh, man. It's some southernness to that. Central, man. All day. You know some music. You know. You know a bit about music, don't you?
• 4:29
Speaker A: Yes, sir, I do.
• 4:31
Speaker C: Okay, so, I mean, these subjects and these questions that I sent to you was pretty much right up your alley, right?
• 4:39
Speaker A: Oh, man. Hey, these are dope. We gonna have some fun with this.
• 4:44
Speaker C: Absolutely. And we starting off with the number one. It's called check the scenario. We check in the scenario. Right? Hey, if you could change any event in history, in the history of hip hop, what new outcome would you create? Or what would you take away?
• 5:04
Speaker A: So I would take away Tupac dying. That's what I would.
• 5:09
Speaker C: We bring in Pac back, we bring.
• 5:12
Speaker A: In park back, and that would create, you know, a better game. A lot of people didn't creep through the cracks, so if Pac didn't die, Biggie would be here.
• 5:23
  Speaker C: Mm.
• 5:24
Speaker A: Jay Z wouldn't be the self proclaimed greatest rapper alive.
• 5:28
Speaker C: Mm. High take and Nipsey Hussle and my.
• 5:33
Speaker A: Man Jacka still be here.
• 5:35
Speaker C: That's a fact. That's a fact, man. That's a good one. Okay. All right. I like it. And we rolling. Cause we lie.
• 5:43
  Speaker A: We lie.
• 5:44
Speaker C: Number two, the classic collaboration, are we live with it. I need you to put together a small ep. Nothing too crazy, just a small ep. A podcast project featuring another podcaster. Who is that? A podcast.
• 6:04
Speaker A: So I took executive stance on this one.
• 6:08
  Speaker C: Okay.
• 6:09
Speaker A: So I will put together five episodes, and what I would do is I would put twelve cow with the cool out corner.
• 6:20
  Speaker C: Okay.
• 6:22
Speaker A: Because they like water and oil. You know, twelve cow can hold this on with anybody. So I would do that. I would put the cognac room and pun saved our marriage on the episode.
• 6:37
  Speaker C: That's a cold mix.
• 6:39
Speaker A: It's a good mix, you know, and I like to see how the interaction would be on that episode. Let me see. Shan and Ji. I put them on an episode together with probably some of these relationship gurus.
• 6:56
Speaker C: Shan has 62 different personalities.
• 7:00
Speaker A: I know, but she could get at these relationship gurus, you know?
• 7:04
Speaker C: Yeah, she does it. She does it.
• 7:07
Speaker A: A sister. Go. Oh, yeah, I will put you.
• 7:12
Speaker C: Okay, we talking dolomite. Okay. Westside connection.
• 7:17
Speaker A: And another west side podcast that you might not know. Max from the Wolf Pussy monologues podcast.
• 7:24
Speaker C: That's a cold podcast name I gotta tap in.
• 7:28
Speaker A: It's a good podcast. It's like. It's like listening to you or pun save thy marriage. Or dolomite. Twelve cow, same caliber.
• 7:40
  Speaker C: Okay.
• 7:40
Speaker A: All right. And. And the last episode would be Teemo. I'll explain all that later, the brunch hour part. And I'll be on there because they talk relationships and marriage and all of that. And I would like to add my perspective from the position of a real married person.
• 8:06
  Speaker C: Tell them myself.
• 8:08
Speaker A: Not none of these Internet street marriages.
• 8:11
  Speaker C: Oh, man.
• 8:12
Speaker A: Especially, you know, if you've been married before and you've been divorced for whatever reason, and it's your second time around, you know what actually works? You're not looking at everything else. You looking and paying attention at what matters right in front of you.
• 8:29
Speaker C: Yeah. That's like when the Pistons in Boston used to whoop Jordan ass back in the. Then he had to go bulk up. He had to. You know what I'm saying? And he got better. And he got the experience.
• 8:42
  Speaker A: Yeah, man.
• 8:43
Speaker C: I get it. I get it. We rolling? Cause we're live. Okay, we're live. Next. Next one. Number three, the big stepper. Are we big stepping over here? You gotta choose between the three, though. It's an option and the option, but you can only pick one. Run. Run a. Run a successful hip hop clothing brand, perform one song in front of a stadium crowd, or run any record label for a minimum of three years.
• 9:20
Speaker A: I think I run the record label for a minimum of three years.
• 9:25
Speaker C: Okay, you gonna run? And you get to pick any record label you can make your own, or you could take over one of the head honchos.
• 9:34
Speaker A: So, basically, I think. I think. I think I run Def jam. Before Hov was the CEO of that motherfucker because they was doing a lot of dick riding over their paws. They put some people on the shelf that shouldn't have been on the shelf. That's why it ain't up to par like it's supposed to be today.
• 9:59
  Speaker C: All right?
• 10:00
Speaker A: So I run def scam. That's what I do.
• 10:04
Speaker C: I need those projects. You gotta put them out. You gotta put them out. We wait.
• 10:12
Speaker A: I would have put out Cormaga testament album. I'd have put that out.
• 10:16
  Speaker C: See? See?
• 10:19
Speaker A: Let me see what else. I'd have scrapped some of them hov albums.
• 10:25
  Speaker C: Mmm. That's.
• 10:27
Speaker A: Some of them was just. Just throwaway albums. Kingdom come, Magna Carta. Uh uh. That shit wouldn't have saw the light of day.
• 10:37
Speaker C: Damn. Okay. And I think a lot of people might agree, too. That's all right. That's all right. We here to kick something up. Number four, this is the a. Now this is. This is a four piece. This is the. This is my LPD. This is the last one. I need you to really think about this one, though. This is important. This is important.
• 10:57
Speaker A: I thought about it.
• 10:58
Speaker C: Cause this is the innovative historian right here, okay? Have the ability to add hip hop to the Olympics or make it mandatory for hip hop to be taught in grade schools. Or own the rights to the word hip hop. I know that on the one that I sent you, it was a typo. Say world. So this one, what I meant was, own the rights to the word hip hop. So anybody that print up the word hip hop in anything, you getting. You getting paid off of that. They using hip hop, and they using hip hop in the lyrics. They put it on shirts. You know what it is, right?
• 11:43
  Speaker A: Culture vulture activity.
• 11:46
Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. But if you own it. If you own it, you getting paid, right?
• 11:53
Speaker A: So, so. So I wouldn't. I wouldn't want to take from everybody. So I do the. I do the Olympics, but I do it different. And I think the award shows should be like this.
• 12:04
  Speaker C: Okay?
• 12:05
Speaker A: So for each category, like best song, best mc, best group, best duo, best lyricist, you know, you know who gonna be competing. But when you get there five days, you arrive five days before the event, and all the artists have to make new material in those categories. And then you hit a new material that they made, and then you vote who win the damn category.
• 12:35
Speaker C: That way it can't be read in the Olympics, though. So. Look, here's the thing, though. Like, do you see any other other country outside of America that has a core of strong artists? Cause we talk. Remember, we talking about the Olympics. So a lot of cats that we listen to are r and b and r and b and hip hop wise, some cats is from other countries. 21 savage we had to go back to.
• 13:09
Speaker A: So I say maybe Germany or France. Those are two big hip hop countries that I've been to, but you can't understand what they saying. But far as the DJ in far as the graffiti, don't think.
• 13:23
Speaker C: You don't think will. You don't think we'll have a challenge with. With Jamaica. Jamaica guy, a vibes cartel just got released.
• 13:31
  Speaker A: I like vibes.
• 13:33
  Speaker C: Yeah, they are.
• 13:36
Speaker A: Yeah. I think every. Everybody good. And they from their area, what they do, you know, considering we can't understand, we wouldn't know what's ahead or nothing. We just hit a beat and be like, yo, this is smacking, you know.
• 13:52
Speaker C: What about little side question? If hip hop started out in the Olympics during the birth era, how many gold medals would snoop dogg have?
• 14:10
Speaker A: Oh, my God. See, he have a plethora of gold medals.
• 14:13
Speaker C: Mandy, who would be, you know, we got. We got the Michael Phelps of the world, Simone Bowes of the world, Flo Joe. Like, we got some. Like, we. We got some historians when it comes to the Olympics. If you could think of. If you give. If you can give me outside of snoop, I just. We just use snoop. If you can give me three artists that would have world records and be like, you know, known, you know, worldly, who would. Who would that three be from here? From the US? Yes.
• 14:53
  Speaker A: Dead or alive.
• 14:55
Speaker C: Dead or alive. Yeah.
• 14:58
Speaker A: Tupac, of course. Wu Tang.
• 15:05
Speaker C: Wu Tang as a group.
• 15:07
  Speaker A: That's a crew. Yeah.
• 15:08
Speaker C: Ooh wee. That's a good one. I like that one so far.
• 15:14
Speaker A: Let me see who else I say. Sean Paul. Could I use him?
• 15:21
Speaker C: You went all the way to Sean Paul?
• 15:24
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 15:25
  Speaker C: Really?
• 15:27
  Speaker A: Reggaeton's big. I get.
• 15:31
Speaker C: Yeah. You know what? So what about Daddy Yankee? Or what's the other cat name? What's the other cat name as.
• 15:40
  Speaker A: Sprague? Ben.
• 15:41
Speaker C: Not the bunny, dude.
• 15:46
  Speaker A: I don't know. I don't know.
• 15:47
Speaker C: Don't. He runs. He doesn't do anything bad. But is it called Bad Bunny or some shit like that?
• 15:53
Speaker A: You got me. I don't know about him.
• 15:56
  Speaker C: Hey, I don't need. That's crazy. I can't.
• 15:59
Speaker A: Maybe we. Maybe we could just throw hammer in there. No disrespect. No disrespect to hammer.
• 16:09
Speaker C: I think it is bad bunny.
• 16:12
  Speaker A: Okay.
• 16:13
Speaker C: Yeah, bad bunny. Probably. He gonna be up there. He gonna be up there.
• 16:20
  Speaker A: Okay.
• 16:22
Speaker C: So you going with the Olympics overall? You would be. You would, you would.
• 16:26
Speaker A: Nah, nah. I ain't going with the Olympics. I'm going with. I'm definitely going with teaching it in schools.
• 16:33
Speaker C: Okay. So they gotta learn it in grade school.
• 16:35
Speaker A: Learn it in grade school.
• 16:37
Speaker C: I think that helps. Cause I think. I think. I think hip hop. I think we lived a hip hop culture.
• 16:42
  Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
• 16:43
Speaker C: You know what I mean? And I feel like if a lot of younger kids knew they history and really. But you gotta teach it in a way where it's appealing because we got America's history out of a textbook and that shit. That shit was born. You know what I mean?
• 16:59
Speaker A: Yeah. That ain't real. That ain't real. Um. What? I take a mona. A montessorial approach to this curriculum with the hip hop. You know, I actually had djing because you could touch some records.
• 17:17
  Speaker C: Okay.
• 17:19
Speaker A: I have an MC in class up in there.
• 17:22
Speaker C: What about an a? And our class?
• 17:24
Speaker A: Yeah, and our class also publishing, you know. Oh, there you go.
• 17:30
Speaker C: Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.
• 17:33
Speaker A: Yeah. So you can have your writing and your publishing and only take it. Only take ten minutes to set that up. And people, you know, they so quick to sign it over and give it away. Hold that.
• 17:47
Speaker C: You know, it's crazy how I know we're not the one. The first ones to come up with this idea, but it's funny how no one has executed this idea. And I don't even think you need a lot of money to get that started. Like, I think the artist that's, you know, that's retired or that can. That's still good enough to tour and make money off of their catalog, I think those are the ones should be teaching. They could be making money off of this, you know what I'm saying?
• 18:16
Speaker A: And they can be. They could be strengthened in the culture because, like, it's too easy for everybody to get in, and some of these people need to sit down.
• 18:27
  Speaker C: That's a fact.
• 18:28
  Speaker A: You know?
• 18:29
Speaker C: That's a fact. Rod is live, man. I appreciate you, my brother. We did that.
• 18:38
Speaker A: We did that. I'm gonna have to have you on my show again.
• 18:41
Speaker C: I've been waiting. I've been waiting. You know what I'm saying? I know. I participated in the lost tapes. That was fun.
• 18:51
Speaker A: Yeah, the pod tapes. You blew that up.
• 18:53
Speaker C: Yeah, that was fine. But I need. I need. I need my sit down with Rashad. You know what I'm saying? Like, I. Where my interview at King James got hit. I'm still listening to y'all episode, by the way.
• 19:05
Speaker A: We gonna do it. Just let me know your availability. I'm out of coins right now, but if we can make it happen, we could get it done in the next. The next few days.
• 19:18
Speaker C: Yeah, absolutely, man. I got payment plans on this side of town. You know, you don't just have to drop the full bag. Yeah, no, you ain't gotta. No, just give me a little deposit. You know, the deposit allows me to show up, and then once I see the other two briefcases lined up. Okay, then ask away.
• 19:41
Speaker A: Hey, I'm gonna make it so sweet. You won't even have to leave the house.
• 19:44
Speaker C: Oh, man. That's what I'll. And you know what I might take? I might take a quarter. A quarter off of that. You know what I'm saying? I might take some money back off of that one, you know?
• 19:54
Speaker A: Okay. I could send you some tacos from Oceanside. Some oceanside.
• 20:00
Speaker C: Look at that. Look at that. I'm all. And we. And that's all we eat. That's all we do is eat tacos over here. That's what I'm talking about. Talking about. It's live. I appreciate you. I wanna give you this moment to share your brand, to share your entertainment, to share your platform with my people. You know what I mean? Just let them know where they could find you. Let them know what they could. You know what I'm saying? Where they could download, where they subscribe, all that. If they wanna stalk you, have at it.
• 20:33
Speaker A: Okay. First of all, Bayla, I'd like to thank you for inviting me on BTG for president. It's been an honor.
• 20:39
Speaker C: It ain't nothing. It ain't none.
• 20:41
Speaker A: And, um, everything is on writers online. Dinette, my book, my music, my podcast, wwes online.net. i got my twitter links, podcast. Everything is right there.
• 21:01
Speaker C: That's what I'm talking about. That's my guy. And y'all. And y'all go follow my guy. I don't. Hey, I'm not just having anybody on. I'm sending that bag. I'm sending a. I'm sending that bag and then vice versa. I'm gonna send that invoice. We gonna make sure we get some money around here, okay? Hey. And then it comes with the content. We got merch. Okay? We got podcasters. With merch. We got podcasters. That correct. I. If I show my shot. Until next time, riders. Hey, roddest, you stay classy and you stay live.
• 21:43
  Speaker A: Yes, sir.
• 21:44
  Speaker C: No doubt. Peace.
