  [SPEAKER_00]: I think if you all watched any of the content yesterday, you could tell this is a player that I think that complements what the Jack Wars have at receiver brings a healthy body to the room for one right now, which they don't have a ton of that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he ideally is like a mid level to high end wide receiver too, if you have a really good wide receiver one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Adam Shepter, if you're not all caught up on the injury news with the Jaguar's receivers, Adam Shepter shared that he has a low grade high ankle sprain, Brian Thomas Jr., and that it's possible he could play this weekend if not, you could probably expect him back against starters.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Ian Rappaport shared that the Jaguars are expecting him back soon, like he's going to miss the next three games, but he's not going to be out long term.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Diamy Brown is dealing with the concussion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So right now, healthy receivers in Jacksonville.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Tim Jones, that's what we're looking at right here, okay?

  [SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully you can get Brian Thomas Jr. out there, but if not, it's going to be the Jacobi Myers and Parker Washington show out there against the Texans.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's where we're at right now with the injury situation with the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Jacobi Myers doesn't bring that long speed.

  [SPEAKER_00]: What does he bring to you?

  [SPEAKER_00]: He has, I think the most noticeable thing about his game, like the one trait I really see, they're several of them honestly, but the one that I think that his innate physical skill set just gives him

  [SPEAKER_00]: the ability to win off the line at the top of his route and with the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He has sweet feet, he has really good quicks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He is slippery, he can get you going in one direction and cut back the other direction really well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He does it every single game, and he does it off the line of scrimmage, releasing off the line to create separation early in routes.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He does it again at the top of his route, where he's about to make his break.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Whether that be outrout, in route, come back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He does all of these well, creating separation at the top of his route.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then with the ball in his hands as well, he's a type of guy that can make a guy miss.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to run through a bunch of tackles or run away from a bunch of people, but he can make a guy miss and pick up some extra yards.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You see that pretty consistently on his tape.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So his weakness, his lower body twitch,

  [SPEAKER_00]: that helps him win.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And you kind of see that in his vertical jump, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Even though he's not a super fast long speed type of guy, he had a 37 inch vertical jump.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That shows some of that explosiveness we're talking about.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then you also have the fact that he's got that explosiveness

  [SPEAKER_00]: Combined with a six to 200 pound frame, not a small receiver, by any stretch of the imagination, pretty good size.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So the quickness in all areas of his game shows up, explosiveness.

  [SPEAKER_00]: 3.8% career drop rate.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That means, you know, catchable targets, you know, they drop 3.8% of them.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That is the best number that Trevor Lawrence has ever had to throw two from her receiver, bar non, but I mean, let's just look at Trevor Lawrence is the best targets he's had, receiver targets he's had throughout his career.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I was a big fan of just the way he approached the game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He had pretty reliable hands for most of his career.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He did have one season in Jacks where he dropped 10.7% of his targets.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That was basically his last season of really playing a ton.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But his first season in Jacks dropped 3.9% of his targets.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Marvin Jones career drop rate was 6.3%.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's almost double Jacobi Myers.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And again, that's not a bad number at all by Marvin Jones Jr., but it's just showing you how consistent the hands are here for Jacobi Myers.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was, you know, Trevor Lawrence is go to Guy for a little while here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: uh... calvin ridley career drop rate is nine percent okay and for all the people that are like all well these numbers are negatively impacted by the time in jacksonville uh... calvin ridley's drop rate with the jackwares in twenty twenty three was eight point four percent which is actually lower

  [SPEAKER_00]: And the last two years, 11.1% 15.8% so you can put that myth to bed pretty quickly.

  [SPEAKER_00]: One of Trevor Lawrence's top targets for three years here in Jacksonville.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence has not had guys like Jacobi Myers with their reliable hands.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and Evan Ingraham, when he was in Jacksonville, 2022, 4.5% drop rate, 2023, 5% drop rate, 2024, 2.1% drop rate, those were excellent numbers.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Outside of Jacksonville, his hands just have not been as good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's another kind of Feather in the cap of Trevor Lawrence for all the people that say he just throws an uncageable ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So those are really Trevor Lawrence's top receiving targets from his career so far and none of them have the reliable hands that Jacobi Myers brings to the table

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, his production is excellent throughout his career, despite being in some really poor passing offenses.

  [SPEAKER_00]: 2024, over a thousand yards, four touchdowns, 2023, 800 yards, eight touchdowns,

  [SPEAKER_00]: 22, 67 catches, 800, 4 yards, 6 touchdowns, 2021, 89 catches, 900 yards.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The guy has been very productive despite not being in these high volume really good passing offenses.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he has a chance to play his best football in Jacksonville.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And onboarding him might be a little bit of a challenge just due to the complex nature of Liam Cohen's offense, but he is a professional.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He has attention to detail and getting back to what he provides outside of the quickness, the six foot two frame, the length that he brings an explosiveness and the strong hands in situations where he needs to come down with the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He also has a career 61% contested catch rate, which is, again,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Very good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a tough player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He will come down with some of these 50-50 balls that a lot of guys have not really done anything in that regard for Trevor Lawrence throughout his career.

  [SPEAKER_00]: For Evan Ingraham with the Jack Wars, when he was here, he caught roughly 40-something percent of his contested catches, contested catch opportunities.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Calvin Ridley in 2023 caught 36.4 percent of his contested catch opportunities.

  [SPEAKER_00]: 28.6 and 2023 and in 2024 30 percent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he was the only one who really helped Trevor in that regard.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He caught 53.3 percent of his contestic catches in 2022, 58.8.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So Jacobi Myers gives some of that just reliable hand, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: The catch radius is good as we kind of talked about with that length and size.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then also just toughness, he will run all the routes and catch all the passes that Jack receivers have been dropping this year and beyond.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He will catch a pass where he's about to get rocked a hospital ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: In that regard, like the ability to be tough, the ability to get open, the ability to catch most of the passes thrown his way and have a nice catch radius and be tough, he's going to do that for you.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's also got just really good attention to detail, a veteran presence on the field, a receiver running a four, six.

  [SPEAKER_00]: professionalism to kind of overcome that and be a really good receiver in the NFL and he's done exactly that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He does have other traits that we've talked about that help him as well, but I think that he is a very nuanced player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that will help not only Trevor, but also the other receivers in the room with him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I like him being the veteran in the room, but yeah, he's averaged over the last five years, 75 catches a year, last four years again, 1,000 yards, 800 yards, 800 yards, 900 yards, he's consistently putting up numbers with him in the short term, it gives like short term like the next gamer too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: gives them a chance to be productive with the injuries with him and Parker Washington and the other guys.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully, VTJ can play this weekend, but that remains to be seen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Long-term this year, like over, you know, into December and January, he can be the vet presence, he can be the chain

  [SPEAKER_00]: Big money down target and he can be a piece of a passing offense that features Travis Hunter, Brian Thomas Jr., Britain Strange, don't forget about Britain Strange, Parker Washington, and of course Jacobi, that's a lot of players that you can feel good about.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter was coming on, I think Brian Thomas Jr. played well against the certainly against the Texans last time with that big

  [SPEAKER_00]: You want to keep building up his confidence and the cool thing about Jacobi and Parker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They can be the guys that really work over the middle of the field more consistently.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You allow BTJ to win where he wins, which is on the outside, which is down the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So when they get fully healthy, I think Jacobi Myers makes them such a better receiving core.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I do think, given up a fourth in a sixth, considering the fact that he might not be here next year, is a little bit concerning, but you have another fourth round pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have a ton of draft capital still, 11 draft picks still after trading, for Jacobi Myers,

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Tim Patrick, yes, he's a veteran presence, but he's not the same level of player as they Jacobi Myers.
