- 0:00Speaker 1: Eight oh five thirteen ten WIBA and ask the experts.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Hanging out this morning with Andrew Larson. Andrew comes to
- 0:07Speaker 1: us from Larsen Home Services the website Larsenhome Services dot
- 0:11Speaker 1: com that is spelled l A R s o N
- 0:14Speaker 1: Home Services dot com to I'll vhote number six oh
- 0:16Speaker 1: eight five three five forty three forty three. That's five
- 0:20Speaker 1: three five forty three forty three for Larsen Home Services. Andrew,
- 0:25Speaker 1: how you doing this Wednesday morning?
- 0:27Speaker 2: Oh? Goohod? You know up late, you know, watching the
- 0:30Speaker 2: election stuff going on?
- 0:32Speaker 1: And yes, yes, it's uh, I think a late night
- 0:37Speaker 1: for a lot of folks. And I know you're up
- 0:38Speaker 1: already moving this morning, kind of playing the role of
- 0:41Speaker 1: mister mom today.
- 0:42Speaker 2: And mister mom yeah, his wife out of town. Got
- 0:45Speaker 2: to get the kids to school. And the only reason
- 0:47Speaker 2: I'm making the show today is because I didn't actually
- 0:49Speaker 2: have to take them to school because they're both sick.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Oh g oh yeah, man, oh that's gonna be uh
- 0:54Speaker 1: they Oh, those a tough day.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Those are tough days. You know. Sometimes I like working
- 1:00Speaker 2: from home, but not when it's not by choice. From home.
- 1:04Speaker 1: You like spending time with your kids, but you don't
- 1:06Speaker 1: like spending time with your kids when you're working from
- 1:08Speaker 1: home and they're sick, right.
- 1:09Speaker 2: No, no, So so that's what we got going on today.
- 1:12Speaker 2: But luckily we are still we are still hard at
- 1:17Speaker 2: it right now, trying to you know, get stuff done
- 1:20Speaker 2: before the weather turns. And it's I mean, honestly, we
- 1:23Speaker 2: look at the extended forecast, it looks pretty good. But
- 1:27Speaker 2: but we've been getting a lot of rain here lately
- 1:29Speaker 2: and the phones have been ringing off the hook. People's
- 1:33Speaker 2: roofs leaking. You know, when you get an all day
- 1:35Speaker 2: soker like we did on Sunday, where it just kind
- 1:39Speaker 2: of rains all day long and inch well I think
- 1:42Speaker 2: the week before was what like three to five inches,
- 1:45Speaker 2: depending on where you lived. A lot of roof leaks.
- 1:49Speaker 2: We're out doing a lot of roof inspections right now
- 1:51Speaker 2: and trying to figure out why roofs are leaking, because
- 1:53Speaker 2: I talk about it all the time. That you know,
- 1:56Speaker 2: one thing we like to do is is if if
- 1:59Speaker 2: you're shingles aren't bad, a lot of times we can
- 2:02Speaker 2: do what we well a lot of people would call
- 2:04Speaker 2: a roof repair, we like to call it a roof
- 2:06Speaker 2: restore because we're not just trying to fix one little thing.
- 2:09Speaker 2: We're trying to look for the reason why something might
- 2:12Speaker 2: be leaking. And if there's if there's a pipe boot leaking,
- 2:15Speaker 2: most likely there's a few more pipe boots that should
- 2:17Speaker 2: be replaced too. If there's a little bit of flashing
- 2:19Speaker 2: that's leaking, most likely there's a lot of flashing that
- 2:22Speaker 2: wasn't done properly. You might have the best shingles in
- 2:25Speaker 2: the world, but your chimney wasn't flashed properly, or you
- 2:27Speaker 2: don't have a chimney cricket on there to divert water
- 2:30Speaker 2: away from the back of it. So we've been doing
- 2:32Speaker 2: a lot of roof restore activities now to get people
- 2:35Speaker 2: ready for the winter. And then again sometimes we get
- 2:38Speaker 2: there and people want a roof restore and the shingles
- 2:41Speaker 2: are just they're just not good enough to be you know,
- 2:45Speaker 2: to put two, three, four, five thousand dollars into that roof.
- 2:48Speaker 2: It's just time for a roof replacement. So, you know,
- 2:51Speaker 2: if you're thinking you have an issue, or you're not sure,
- 2:55Speaker 2: or you look up and the shingles don't look good,
- 2:57Speaker 2: don't hesitate to call Free seventeen point roof Inspection and
- 3:01Speaker 2: we'll let you know exactly what's going on with that roof.
- 3:03Speaker 1: And that's one of the great things you mentioned, that
- 3:05Speaker 1: that free inspection and getting that information and you'll know
- 3:09Speaker 1: will you need to replace the roof, is it Is
- 3:11Speaker 1: it something that's a perfect candidate for a roof restore
- 3:15Speaker 1: or is it everything's just absolutely fine and you've got
- 3:18Speaker 1: a few more years with that roof and nothing to
- 3:21Speaker 1: worry about this winter. But as you point out, Andrew,
- 3:23Speaker 1: as we look at kind of the forecast, we know
- 3:25Speaker 1: what inevitably happens in Wisconsin is it will start snowing soon.
- 3:29Speaker 1: We will start experiencing issues now. Large storm Services, you
- 3:33Speaker 1: guys do work a year round. You are very busy
- 3:36Speaker 1: year round. But of course there are things that are
- 3:38Speaker 1: better when they are prevented from becoming a problem. And
- 3:41Speaker 1: I know prevention is a big part of what you
- 3:43Speaker 1: guys do at Large Stome Services, and that's what makes
- 3:45Speaker 1: it so important this morning to call Andrew and the
- 3:47Speaker 1: team with that seven point inspection. Have THEO come out,
- 3:50Speaker 1: take a look at your roof, make sure everything's performing properly.
- 3:52Speaker 1: The telphon number six oh eight five three five forty
- 3:55Speaker 1: three forty three that's six oh eight five three five
- 3:58Speaker 1: forty three forty three and Andrew. One of the things
- 4:01Speaker 1: in talking with you about about people and roof issues is, unfortunately,
- 4:06Speaker 1: for most homeowners that don't get their roof inspected, they
- 4:09Speaker 1: don't realize there's a problem until there's a big problem,
- 4:12Speaker 1: and like an ongoing issue that they were completely unaware of,
- 4:15Speaker 1: and suddenly there's a wet spot on their ceiling and
- 4:17Speaker 1: they're going, what happened here?
- 4:19Speaker 2: That that's that's what we're getting a lot of calls for,
- 4:22Speaker 2: and we're getting a lot of calls for wet basements. Look,
- 4:27Speaker 2: it was super dry. It was a super dry fall
- 4:32Speaker 2: up until of recent here. And the thing is is
- 4:36Speaker 2: when it's out of sight, it's.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Out of mind.
- 4:37Speaker 2: And when it's dry, we're really not thinking about about
- 4:42Speaker 2: our gutters until we get a four inch rain, and
- 4:46Speaker 2: then we get a fifteen hour rain and the gutters
- 4:49Speaker 2: sit and they overflow and they leak into the basement. Heck,
- 4:53Speaker 2: my brother in law, he never worries about his gutters.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I'm always telling him like, hey, man, like you need
- 5:00Speaker 2: to clean these things, or we can hook you up
- 5:02Speaker 2: with some cutter shutter. And he didn't listen, and I
- 5:07Speaker 2: think they said they sucked twenty gallons of water out
- 5:10Speaker 2: of one of their kids bedrooms this weekend. It's directly
- 5:14Speaker 2: related to not clean gutters. There's a section of the
- 5:18Speaker 2: house he's never worried about. Yeah, I don't worry about
- 5:20Speaker 2: that part. Can't hurt anything over there. Well until now
- 5:24Speaker 2: you've got wet drywall and you've got wet carpet. And
- 5:28Speaker 2: so just because it's out of sight, it just because
- 5:31Speaker 2: it's not raining that much, it's gonna come. And I
- 5:34Speaker 2: preach this like it just seems like it comes more
- 5:37Speaker 2: in buckets of late, like just two three inches at
- 5:42Speaker 2: a time instead of you know, like one weekly nice
- 5:45Speaker 2: rain here and there. We just get it all at
- 5:47Speaker 2: one time. So again, if you're worried about the gutters,
- 5:51Speaker 2: if you don't think they're sloped properly, if you don't
- 5:53Speaker 2: think downs fault placement is done right. I mean a
- 5:57Speaker 2: lot of people buy houses and the gutters around there.
- 5:59Speaker 2: A lot of people build houses and they put gutters
- 6:01Speaker 2: on and they have no say in where the downce
- 6:04Speaker 2: ball placement is or anything like that. They slap them
- 6:06Speaker 2: up and go away because if they don't work, they
- 6:08Speaker 2: don't really care with us. We care, yeah, because if
- 6:11Speaker 2: they don't work, we have to come back and we're
- 6:13Speaker 2: going to fix it for free. That's our lifetime workmanship
- 6:15Speaker 2: guarantee as well as a lifetime no clock guarantee. So
- 6:18Speaker 2: when we put them up, we put them up right
- 6:20Speaker 2: because if we get a phone call that something's not
- 6:22Speaker 2: working properly, we come back and take care of it.
- 6:24Speaker 2: So that's a peace of mind that really no other
- 6:29Speaker 2: companies that I know of give a lifetime workmanship guarantee. Leaking,
- 6:33Speaker 2: overflowing ice damage, you name it.
- 6:36Speaker 1: You and you mentioned that that workmanship guarantee, and you
- 6:39Speaker 1: mentioned you know what comes along with working with your
- 6:42Speaker 1: team at large Stome Services. I think a big thing
- 6:44Speaker 1: too is people say, well, how are you able to do?
- 6:46Speaker 2: That?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Is we're talking about skilled individuals. I know you guys
- 6:49Speaker 1: do a lot of training, whether it's in the field
- 6:52Speaker 1: or literally you have a classroom at the office just
- 6:56Speaker 1: north of here where folks get it. You know, where
- 6:59Speaker 1: your team is literally doing hands on classroom stuff and
- 7:02Speaker 1: training training out in the field, which allows you, of
- 7:04Speaker 1: course to be certified. And you know when it comes
- 7:07Speaker 1: to all of the you know, the manufacturers, they're looking
- 7:10Speaker 1: to certified and installers, and you guys are our top
- 7:14Speaker 1: level on all of that stuff. And that's a great
- 7:15Speaker 1: piece of mind. As you mentioned, Andrew, for homeowners is
- 7:18Speaker 1: when it comes to protecting your house, when it comes
- 7:20Speaker 1: to whether it's gutters, roofing you're thinking about. Of course,
- 7:23Speaker 1: we think about with winter coming and keeping your energy
- 7:26Speaker 1: bills down with that home audit with with doctor Energy Saver.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Larsen Home Services has you covered. Today is the day.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Pick up phone, give Andrew and the team a call.
- 7:33Speaker 1: They would love to talk to you. They'd love to
- 7:35Speaker 1: work with you. Hit that seventeen point roof inspection. It's
- 7:38Speaker 1: not going to cost anything. Give you a peace of mind.
- 7:40Speaker 1: If something needs to be fixed and repair and take
- 7:42Speaker 1: care of before winter, you get that piece of mind.
- 7:45Speaker 1: If nothing needs to be done, everything looks great, you'll
- 7:47Speaker 1: know all I get to do this morning. Pick up
- 7:49Speaker 1: a phone, game a call six so eight five three
