- 0:00Speaker 1: Mister New York marks them upon seven to ten wor.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Well, hey, we'll get to the Grammy Awards coming up.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Scotch Shannon will be with us a little later on
- 0:12Speaker 2: this hour, and we'll get to President Trump's weekend. You know,
- 0:14Speaker 2: there's a partial government shutdown in effect right now. What
- 0:19Speaker 2: they did was they separated. They voted to fund everything
- 0:22Speaker 2: except Department of Homeland Security. Now, if you don't fund
- 0:26Speaker 2: Department of Homeland Security, well there's a lot of stuff
- 0:29Speaker 2: in there. The TSA is in that Secret Service, all
- 0:32Speaker 2: of that's in there. So the effect is all services continue,
- 0:37Speaker 2: some of the workers not getting paid. They expect to
- 0:41Speaker 2: have that settled. I don't know by Wednesday. This partial
- 0:45Speaker 2: government shutdown. Reason, you have to mention the government shutdown,
- 0:49Speaker 2: otherwise nobody would notice because nothing really really changes. The
- 0:54Speaker 2: Clintons might have a big legal problem. They are called
- 0:58Speaker 2: to testify with a subpoena. They were called to testify
- 1:01Speaker 2: in front of Congress and they didn't show up. They
- 1:04Speaker 2: refuse to answer the subpoena. That's a crime. It's criminal.
- 1:08Speaker 2: You can go to prison for it. Just ask Steve
- 1:10Speaker 2: Bannon or Peter Navarro. People have been sent to jail
- 1:13Speaker 2: for that. The Clintons didn't care. They did it, and
- 1:16Speaker 2: now they've are going to be held in contempt at Congress.
- 1:19Speaker 2: They are in contempt to Congress, but Congress has to
- 1:22Speaker 2: vote on whether to demand the Justice Department arrest the Clintons.
- 1:27Speaker 2: The vote will take place probably tomorrow. Here's the problem
- 1:31Speaker 2: for the Clintons. The Democrats will vote to go after
- 1:35Speaker 2: the Clintons. Most of these young Democrats do not have
- 1:37Speaker 2: any regard for Bill or Hillary Clinton. These are old
- 1:40Speaker 2: dinosaurs from another era. In fact, in the first round
- 1:45Speaker 2: of voting to hold them in contempt, about eight Democrats
- 1:48Speaker 2: voted to go after the Clintons. So they're going to
- 1:50Speaker 2: have the same problem. And Hakim Jeffreys refuses to get
- 1:54Speaker 2: involved in this vote. He's supposed to be the Democratic
- 1:57Speaker 2: leader in the House to try to do something to
- 2:00Speaker 2: help the Clintons, but he's kind of made it clear
- 2:02Speaker 2: he's not gonna do it. He thinks it's a losing
- 2:04Speaker 2: cause and he doesn't want to ruin his reputation losing
- 2:08Speaker 2: this battle. So it looks like the Clintons will be
- 2:10Speaker 2: in serious legal jeopardy unless they settle this negotiate some
- 2:14Speaker 2: kind of settlement. So Democrats privately urging the Clintons negotiate
- 2:21Speaker 2: something because we'll vote against you. Interesting the Democrats, many
- 2:25Speaker 2: of them, have no interest in helping Bill or Hillary
- 2:28Speaker 2: Clinton anymore. So watch for that to happen tomorrow. It's
- 2:32Speaker 2: got to happen by Wednesday, or the Clintons are in
- 2:34Speaker 2: big legal trouble. Now, why do you have ICE running
- 2:39Speaker 2: around chasing after the book, Because you've got a lot
- 2:43Speaker 2: of illegals who are dangerous criminals who if Ice doesn't
- 2:48Speaker 2: come get him, local authorities will do nothing about him.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Here's a perfect example right here in New York City.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Here's an illegal alien who's a dangerous criminal, crack smoking,
- 2:59Speaker 2: sexual predator. He's been wanted by ICE, but he gets
- 3:03Speaker 2: picked up all the time in Manhattan on all kinds
- 3:07Speaker 2: of crimes. He was taken into a Manhattan courthouse last week.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Now listen to this. Gerardo Miguel Mora, forty five years old.
- 3:16Speaker 2: He was arrested last Thursday for shoplifting, possession of stolen property,
- 3:23Speaker 2: went in and robbed a store. Now that's Thursday, but
- 3:28Speaker 2: earlier in the month he was arrested for a possession
- 3:30Speaker 2: of crack cocaine before that he was arrested for rape,
- 3:35Speaker 2: attempted rape, and strangulation. He followed a twenty one year
- 3:39Speaker 2: old woman home, choked her, tried to take a clothes off,
- 3:43Speaker 2: police got him. He was presumably deported after that, but
- 3:48Speaker 2: suddenly showed up in the country again. He's basically a
- 3:51Speaker 2: career criminal. He's a really really bad criminal, and Ice
- 3:55Speaker 2: has been after him. But he gets hauled into court
- 3:58Speaker 2: for the shoplifting he had caught robbing. This so this
- 4:01Speaker 2: is a Manhattan courtroom. It's Judge Sheridan jack Brown, a Democrat.
- 4:08Speaker 2: She won a special election in Brooklyn last year. She
- 4:11Speaker 2: decides to let the guy go. This is typical of
- 4:13Speaker 2: New York City. Criminal caught in a crime, got a big,
- 4:18Speaker 2: long record, big rap sheet. She decides just to let
- 4:21Speaker 2: him go. The get word in the courtroom that Ice
- 4:25Speaker 2: is waiting for this guy. The judge says, take him
- 4:30Speaker 2: out the back so Ice can't. The Ice is waiting
- 4:32Speaker 2: out front to grab the guy when he comes out.
- 4:35Speaker 2: So she had them open up the back door and
- 4:37Speaker 2: let him sneak out the back to avoid Ice. This
- 4:39Speaker 2: is what you're dealing with in the middle of Manhattan.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Ice figured out that they let him go out the back.
- 4:45Speaker 2: They chased the guy down. They eventually caught him. But
- 4:48Speaker 2: that's what you're dealing with. That's why you have to
- 4:50Speaker 2: have ICE do this. Local authorities will just let these
- 4:52Speaker 2: guys go. This guy would have committed another crime in
- 4:56Speaker 2: a few weeks, be back in court, be let go again.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Ice had they'll remove him, take him out of the country.
- 5:03Speaker 2: That's the good news. Now. President Trump went to Palm
- 5:07Speaker 2: Beach this weekend. Normally he leaves Friday afternoon, He's in
- 5:11Speaker 2: Palm Beach by dinnertime Friday, and he comes back on
- 5:15Speaker 2: Sunday night. This time he's only in Palm Beach for
- 5:19Speaker 2: one day, just for Sunday. It was for a wedding.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Dan Scavino, big longtime part of the Trump administration, married
- 5:26Speaker 2: at mar Lago. Everybody in the Trump administration went down
- 5:29Speaker 2: there for the wedding. But the reason the President stayed
- 5:33Speaker 2: is Saturday night, he went to something he never goes to.
- 5:37Speaker 2: You know, they got these big events every year in Washington, DC.
- 5:40Speaker 2: There's the White House Press Corps Dinner, you know that
- 5:43Speaker 2: correspondents dinner. They call that like the nerd prom that's
- 5:47Speaker 2: a big event. And there's the Kennedy Center Honors. That's
- 5:50Speaker 2: a big event. Everybody in Washington goes that every year.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Speaking to which the Kennedy Center is going to close
- 5:55Speaker 2: for two years, President Trump master Builder, after inspecting the
- 6:01Speaker 2: Kennedy Center, said it's totally dilapidated. It's in total disrepair.
- 6:07Speaker 2: It needs to be fixed top to bottom. I'm gonna
- 6:10Speaker 2: close it for two years and fix it. But getting
- 6:13Speaker 2: back to this big dinners, this is only a handful
- 6:16Speaker 2: of bit It's not like New York. In New York,
- 6:17Speaker 2: there's like three major events every night. Washington, d C.
- 6:21Speaker 2: There's like four major events a year. But the biggest
- 6:23Speaker 2: of them all and it's the least known, it's very
- 6:26Speaker 2: very quiet. It's the Alfalfa Dinner. This is actually the biggest,
- 6:31Speaker 2: most prestigious night in Washington, d C. Every year. Now
- 6:35Speaker 2: the Correspondence Dinner, it's a million people in a ballroom.
- 6:39Speaker 2: It's every idiot from it's Jim Acosta, Don Lemon type idiots.
- 6:43Speaker 2: The Alfalfa Dinner, that's the private, very very very prestigious one.
- 6:49Speaker 2: It's in the Hilton every year. The Alfalfa Club is
- 6:53Speaker 2: like the skull and Bones of Washington, DC. You can't
- 6:57Speaker 2: just join it. You have to be invited to join.
- 7:00Speaker 2: It's real, real, real inside swamp, real deep state stuff.
- 7:05Speaker 2: The bushes are in the Alfalfa Society. Very few people
- 7:10Speaker 2: make it into there. It's very very elite inside d C. Washington.
- 7:16Speaker 2: So when Trump first got elected in twenty sixteen, all
- 7:20Speaker 2: these Alfalfa people would say to me, I don't know
- 7:24Speaker 2: if we're going to like it. I don't know if
- 7:25Speaker 2: we're going to he's going to be I don't know
- 7:26Speaker 2: if he's going to get a good reception at the
- 7:27Speaker 2: Alfalfa dinner. And I used to say, Tom, I don't
- 7:30Speaker 2: think he's coming to you stupid dinner. And sure enough,
- 7:32Speaker 2: he didn't come the first year, and they're all grumbling
- 7:34Speaker 2: to me. No president has ever refused to come to it.
- 7:37Speaker 2: No president has ever not come to an Alfalfa well.
- 7:40Speaker 2: For four years, he never went because he knew what
- 7:42Speaker 2: these real old, inside elite swamp people thought of him.
- 7:46Speaker 2: But this year he decided to go. It's a whole
- 7:49Speaker 2: new world now Trump has decided to take them on.
- 7:51Speaker 2: So he showed up at the Alfalfa dinner. It's kind
- 7:54Speaker 2: of a roast. I mean, you're supposed to make jokes
- 7:57Speaker 2: there but it's a very exclusive c and he sees
- 8:00Speaker 2: Mitt Romney and he's got some great jokes about Romney.
- 8:03Speaker 2: But he mentions Mitt Romney and asked him to stand up,
- 8:09Speaker 2: and Romney gets like a standing ovation. Remember it's these
- 8:11Speaker 2: kind of people, these old kind of Ivy League, skull
- 8:15Speaker 2: and Bones type. They love Romney. They give him an
- 8:17Speaker 2: incredible ovation. So then Trump said, I guess I better
- 8:21Speaker 2: not do these jokes. Now I can see what you
- 8:22Speaker 2: think of. Well, I'm gonna have to throw out these
- 8:24Speaker 2: jokes and not do them. But he went for the
- 8:27Speaker 2: first time ever. It lasts about four hours. There's only
- 8:29Speaker 2: two hundred members of this very exclusive club. Jeb Bush
- 8:35Speaker 2: was there, George Bush was there. It's that kind of
- 8:38Speaker 2: a dinner and the marine band plays. It's not the
- 8:41Speaker 2: most exciting dinner. And actually, if you look at the
- 8:44Speaker 2: way it started, it was originally formed by a bunch
- 8:47Speaker 2: of Southerners at the Willard Hotel in Washington to celebrate
- 8:52Speaker 2: the birthday of Robert E. Lee, the Confederate General. And
- 8:57Speaker 2: in fact, remember William Rehnquist, the Chief Justice of the
- 9:00Speaker 2: Supreme Court, when he had his Senate Judiciary hearing to
- 9:07Speaker 2: get nominated to be the Chief Justice. They went after
- 9:11Speaker 2: him for being a member of the Alfalfa Club, but
- 9:15Speaker 2: he defended it in the hearings, saying, I go there
- 9:18Speaker 2: at a meet once a year, listen to patriotic music,
- 9:20Speaker 2: and hears some funny political speeches. Let's see nineteen eighty four.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Bill Clinton did boycott it once. Actually, Bill Clinton boycotted
- 9:29Speaker 2: it one year. This is such an old old world
- 9:32Speaker 2: club that women were not allowed in the club until
- 9:36Speaker 2: like nineteen ninety four. And I guess they finally let
- 9:39Speaker 2: him in because Bill Clinton refused to go until they
- 9:42Speaker 2: let women in. But it's interesting Trump decided to go
- 9:45Speaker 2: this weekend just to go into the lions Den and
- 9:49Speaker 2: talk to them. Hey, Mayor, Mom Donnie has appointed somebody
- 9:53Speaker 2: to run the Department of Corrections, an ex convict, somebody
- 9:58Speaker 2: who had been in jail. He's now charge of the jail.
- 10:01Speaker 2: That's Mom Donnie was very proud of this. Stanley Richards
- 10:05Speaker 2: will become the first formerly incarcerated person to lead the
- 10:09Speaker 2: city's Department of Corrections. Mom Donnie talking about it like
- 10:13Speaker 2: it's an incredible breakthrough. I don't know what's a breakthrough.
- 10:16Speaker 2: I mean, what's so great about that? And if a
- 10:18Speaker 2: guy came to you in a job interview and you
- 10:20Speaker 2: look at the resume. BI see here you're in prison.
- 10:24Speaker 2: That's very good. What a good resume. Normally you'd not
- 10:28Speaker 2: get a job for that. If you walk around Manhattan,
- 10:31Speaker 2: the sidewalks are pretty good. I was in the suburbs
- 10:34Speaker 2: this weekend and bad, really bad. The sidewalks are. All
- 10:38Speaker 2: they did was clear, like a little little path through
- 10:41Speaker 2: the sidewalk. Here Manhattan Roads sidewalks all totally clear. There
- 10:45Speaker 2: are snow piles at the curb. And the other problem
- 10:49Speaker 2: is there's garbage, massive piles of garbage. Sanitation department not
- 10:53Speaker 2: picking up garbage for a week. I don't know why.
- 10:56Speaker 2: I guess they're busy with snowroom or something. But it
- 10:59Speaker 2: looks pretty bad.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Mayor Mom, Donnie so I asked New Yorkers please check
- 11:03Speaker 1: in on your neighbors, especially older adults, New Yorkers with disabilities,
- 11:07Speaker 1: and those without access to reliable heat. This is one
- 11:09Speaker 1: of the longest, most sustained cold stretches our city has
- 11:13Speaker 1: endured in years, and it is showing no signs of abating.
- 11:17Speaker 2: That's what they call a code blue. Although it's going
- 11:20Speaker 2: to hit maybe thirty two today and maybe thirty three
- 11:24Speaker 2: tomorrow and Wednesday, that could start a little thawing. But
- 11:28Speaker 2: we've never had it stay this cold this long in
- 11:31Speaker 2: a million years. Mayor Mom. Donnie also getting a lot
- 11:34Speaker 2: of flak because he told all the departments, police, everybody else,
- 11:39Speaker 2: don't take the homeless off the street, don't bother them.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Unless it's a medical emergency. You're not allowed to remove
- 11:45Speaker 2: the homeless. So the deathole keeps increasing. There now fourteen dead,
- 11:52Speaker 2: fourteen dead because he left them out on the street. Fourteen.
- 11:57Speaker 2: That's a lot of dead bodies. All he had to
- 11:59Speaker 2: do was in previous administration, they would just force you
- 12:02Speaker 2: to go to the shelter when it got to you know,
- 12:04Speaker 2: windshill of minus five, they'd make you go to the shelter.
- 12:07Speaker 2: But Mom, don I don't know what he thinks that.
- 12:10Speaker 2: When ten died, you think you'd change your mind on that,
- 12:14Speaker 2: But fourteen have died. You know the problem with these
- 12:17Speaker 2: the celebrities that threaten to leave the country if Trump
- 12:20Speaker 2: is elected, they never keep the promise. He said, Well,
- 12:24Speaker 2: Rosie O'Donnell, Ellen DeGeneres moved out of the country. She's back.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Look at this, she's buying a house in California, Montecito.
- 12:35Speaker 2: She was looking at a thirty five million dollar mansion beachfront.
- 12:40Speaker 2: And you know, she already has a house in Montecito,
- 12:43Speaker 2: twenty seven million dollar house. She's buying another one down
- 12:46Speaker 2: the street, a thirty five million dollar house. So it
- 12:50Speaker 2: looks like she's coming back. Apparently you cannot get rid
- 12:52Speaker 2: of these people. Now you're saying, how does she he
- 12:54Speaker 2: have that much money? That's like sixty five million in
- 12:58Speaker 2: real estate right there. Well, the most the highest paying
- 13:01Speaker 2: thing you can do is have a daytime syndicated talk show.
- 13:06Speaker 2: You know, if you're the host of a big TV show,
- 13:09Speaker 2: if you're Johnny Carson, you can make twenty million a year.
- 13:12Speaker 2: If you're David Letterman in his heyday, you could make
- 13:14Speaker 2: twenty thirty million a year. If you got a daytime
- 13:19Speaker 2: syndicated show where you have a piece of the ownership
- 13:22Speaker 2: of the show. When you're syndicated on TV, you know,
- 13:24Speaker 2: like an Oprah, that kind of show, you can make
- 13:27Speaker 2: a couple hundred million a year, and it's the most
- 13:32Speaker 2: lucrative thing there is. That's why Oprah got to be
- 13:34Speaker 2: a billionaire. That's why Donna Hughe, who is really the
- 13:36Speaker 2: first big, big daytime syndicate show retired with like five
- 13:40Speaker 2: six hundred million, so Allan de Generes was like the
- 13:45Speaker 2: you know, the Merv Griffin Mike Douglass of the eighties
- 13:48Speaker 2: and nineties and our nineties and two thousands, but probably
- 13:52Speaker 2: retired with three four hundred million bucks as a result.
- 13:56Speaker 2: So she's back. Hey, Harry Styles coming to Madison Square Garden.
- 14:00Speaker 2: This will be the next big residency. Billy Joel once
- 14:04Speaker 2: a month for many years, but Harry Styles is gonna
- 14:06Speaker 2: do thirty shows, thirty in like a two month period. Nobody,
- 14:13Speaker 2: Nobody's ever Billy Joel was once a month. That's twelve
- 14:16Speaker 2: shows a year. This guy's so big He's going to
- 14:18Speaker 2: do thirty thirty over the summer in just two months.
- 14:23Speaker 2: And ticket I'm looking at the ticket prices three hundred
- 14:25Speaker 2: and fifty to six hundred bucks, so that's like six
- 14:29Speaker 2: million a show. They'll take in six million a show
- 14:33Speaker 2: and probably usually another five hundred thousand just in the
- 14:37Speaker 2: lobby on merchandise. Five hundred thousand and merchandise before the
- 14:41Speaker 2: show even starts. So gonna make a fortune this year. Hey,
- 14:45Speaker 2: we'll take some calls next eight hundred three to two
- 14:48Speaker 2: one zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three
- 14:52Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten now.
- 14:55Speaker 3: More marks the moon on seven tenor.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Hey, hey, a bunch of emails about this. So apparently
- 15:04Speaker 2: Andrew Cuomo now doing a radio show, and he came
- 15:08Speaker 2: up with a concept, and you got to give the
- 15:11Speaker 2: guy credit. This could revolutionize things. He came up with
- 15:14Speaker 2: a concept for a radio show. He calls it the
- 15:18Speaker 2: Pulse of the People, where he takes the pulse of
- 15:22Speaker 2: the people. The way he does this, now, listen to this.
- 15:25Speaker 2: He takes phone calls on the radio and people can
- 15:28Speaker 2: call up and give their opinion. Whoa Now this was
- 15:33Speaker 2: this is revolutionary for nineteen forty six when Barry Gray.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Barry Gray was the first guy ever to put a
- 15:40Speaker 2: phone call on the air in nineteen forty six and
- 15:42Speaker 2: let people talk. And then he went on to become
- 15:44Speaker 2: the king of talk radio, the modern day pioneer of
- 15:49Speaker 2: talk rater. But I don't know. Don't don't tell Cuomo
- 15:51Speaker 2: that everybody's been doing this for like eighty years, tell
- 15:55Speaker 2: me no, that might upset him. So but apparently a
- 15:58Speaker 2: lot of people were a little miffed. He on the
- 16:01Speaker 2: show kept blaming Curtis. It was all Curtises. He would
- 16:04Speaker 2: have been mayor. If not for Curtis, he would have won.
- 16:07Speaker 2: And he said that with many experts have said if
- 16:12Speaker 2: it wasn't for Curtis, he would have won. I don't
- 16:14Speaker 2: know one expert that says, first of all, he took
- 16:16Speaker 2: every single vote Curtis ad added to Cuomo's votes. He's
- 16:20Speaker 2: still nowhere close enough to win. But I don't listen,
- 16:24Speaker 2: I don't blame him. He got to tell himself that.
- 16:26Speaker 2: I mean, you can't say to yourself, I just was
- 16:29Speaker 2: rejected by the voters. I mean, the real reason he
- 16:32Speaker 2: lost his Democrats wouldn't vote for him. He lost the primary.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Bat he really lost the primary to Mom Donnie and
- 16:38Speaker 2: then in the general election, and he talks about how
- 16:40Speaker 2: many Republicans voted for him. Problem is he couldn't get
- 16:43Speaker 2: enough Democrats to vote for him. But you're not going
- 16:46Speaker 2: to be You're not gonna admit to yourself it's me.
- 16:47Speaker 2: They didn't like me. So you got to convince yourself
- 16:50Speaker 2: it's Curtis's fault. So let him do it. It makes
- 16:52Speaker 2: him feel better. Let's go to Kevin in Boston. Kevin,
- 16:56Speaker 2: how you doing well?
- 16:58Speaker 3: Hi, mock Pomo is such a lie. Eighty five percent
- 17:05Speaker 3: of the people who voted for mont Donnie were foreigners
- 17:08Speaker 3: who became Americans, so the sixty five Immigration Act got
- 17:11Speaker 3: him elected. Everybody's lying, they don't want to talk.
- 17:14Speaker 2: About and actually, mom Donnie did pretty well with even
- 17:17Speaker 2: homegrown Democrats. They they're into this socialism now, they like
- 17:21Speaker 2: this socialism. But well, you know, as George Will said,
- 17:25Speaker 2: you got to do this every twenty years. Every twenty years,
- 17:28Speaker 2: you got to do some socialism. So everybody can be
- 17:30Speaker 2: reminded and see for themselves. New generations can see how
- 17:33Speaker 2: bad it is, how badly at bombs, So maybe we
- 17:36Speaker 2: have to go through that. Let's go to Kenny and Basine. Kenny,
- 17:39Speaker 2: how you doing, Kenny?
- 17:44Speaker 3: Mark? What about happened? Steve from Manhattan is a guest?
- 17:46Speaker 2: Come on, may the hell Steve from Manhattan. I don't
- 17:49Speaker 2: even know who that is. Let's go to Robert in Westchester. Robert,
- 17:52Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 17:54Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark, Thanks for taking the cool Mark. Did
- 17:58Speaker 3: you see the two elections that happened Texas? One was
- 18:02Speaker 3: for congressmen and it was and the other one was
- 18:05Speaker 3: for state senator. Yeah, but the one for state senator
- 18:08Speaker 3: was a Republican district. Now they're talking about jerrymandering over there. Mark,
- 18:13Speaker 3: do the Republicans always shoot themselves on the foot.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Well, I wouldn't wory about. It's a little state senate race.
- 18:18Speaker 2: It means absolutely nothing in Texas we're talking about this,
- 18:20Speaker 2: so Howie car it means absolutely nothing. But because it's
- 18:24Speaker 2: a Republican losing, even in a totally irrelevant race, it's
- 18:27Speaker 2: front page news all over the world. All of a sudden,
- 18:30Speaker 2: let's go to Bill and Lasiete. Bill, how you doing?
- 18:34Speaker 3: Fie?
- 18:35Speaker 4: Mark Quick mentioned on this Jeffrey Epstein matter. It's amazing
- 18:40Speaker 4: that these women were contacted and they're saying, you know,
- 18:44Speaker 4: we're going to offer you a free plane ride, food
- 18:47Speaker 4: and drink, party, party, party, Come on down, bring your
- 18:51Speaker 4: small bikini with you, and if you want to, you
- 18:53Speaker 4: can bring your daughter. Now, all of a sudden, there's
- 18:56Speaker 4: survivors they went to a party.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Well, I gotta stop you there mixing all kinds of
- 19:02Speaker 2: things up. There were a lot of normal age women,
- 19:05Speaker 2: older women, that was fine, but there were underage women
- 19:07Speaker 2: that were recruited and terrible things are done to them
- 19:12Speaker 2: by Gallaine Maxwell recruiting them. They didn't go in there
- 19:15Speaker 2: with the intention of all that stuff. There were victims,
- 19:19Speaker 2: plenty of them. That's why Gallaine Maxwell went to prison.
- 19:22Speaker 2: That's why Epstein went to prison. Now, you gotta remember
- 19:25Speaker 2: if you went to I mean, I went to those
- 19:27Speaker 2: kinds of things, If you went to an Epstein event,
- 19:31Speaker 2: there were a lot of women there, and I'd say
- 19:33Speaker 2: probably ninety four percent of them were adult women of
- 19:38Speaker 2: all ages. There were a lot of young women there,
- 19:41Speaker 2: but a small percentage, and those were for Epstein. And
- 19:44Speaker 2: I'm sure there were a couple of his friends, Prince
- 19:48Speaker 2: Andrew and others who liked the young women, but most
- 19:51Speaker 2: of them, the Bill Clinton's, the Bill Gates, it was
- 19:53Speaker 2: the older women that they were interested in. Let's go
- 19:56Speaker 2: to Steve in Tennessee. Steve, how you doing, Aramberton? Do
- 20:00Speaker 2: it pretty good?
- 20:01Speaker 4: Mark?
- 20:01Speaker 3: Hey, I got a question for you.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Do you think do you think Don Lemon got a
- 20:05Speaker 3: cavity search when he went to jail.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I don't know. Maybe, In fact, if he did, he'd
- 20:12Speaker 2: probably come back a couple of times. But anyway, let's
- 20:14Speaker 2: go to Tom and Queen's Tom, how you doing?
- 20:17Speaker 4: Hey? Mark?
- 20:18Speaker 3: Speaking of Don Lemon, the guys out there before the
- 20:22Speaker 3: before the church invasion. He's out there with corffee and
- 20:25Speaker 3: donuts giving him out to all the people. I mean,
- 20:28Speaker 3: you know that's you And.
- 20:30Speaker 4: He admits the guy asked him who saw.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Do you want?
- 20:33Speaker 4: And he admits he's on their side.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Well, Don Lemon's got a couple of problems when he
- 20:38Speaker 2: goes to trial. One, uh, he was in on the
- 20:41Speaker 2: planning of it. There's video of him planning, conspiring with
- 20:44Speaker 2: these people to go in and the mission that they
- 20:47Speaker 2: went in with was to stop the service, disrupt the church.
- 20:51Speaker 2: The reason they went after this church, the pastor also
- 20:57Speaker 2: works for ICE. He's acting director of ICE in Saint Paul, Minnesota,
- 21:02Speaker 2: and he also happens to be the pastor. That's the
- 21:04Speaker 2: reason they went in. They targeted this church. They ended
- 21:07Speaker 2: up disrupting the service. It's against this specific law or
- 21:12Speaker 2: two about that you cannot go into a church and
- 21:15Speaker 2: interfere with the service in anyway. You can't. Also, there's
- 21:18Speaker 2: a law you can't go in and try to intimidate
- 21:20Speaker 2: the people in the church. That was done. There's video
- 21:24Speaker 2: of Don Lemon with the plotters and planners where he
- 21:28Speaker 2: acknowledges he was in on the planning. That's where he's
- 21:31Speaker 2: got a big legal problem. And then in the indictment
- 21:34Speaker 2: they describe certain instances where he was blocking the door,
- 21:38Speaker 2: not letting people in or out. So that's where he's
- 21:41Speaker 2: got a real problem and can get convicted. So doesn't
- 21:45Speaker 2: look good for him. Doesn't look good for him. He'll
- 21:48Speaker 2: use it to make himself relevant again. He's on Jimmy
- 21:52Speaker 2: Kimmel tonight, so hey when we come back, the Greatest
- 21:55Speaker 2: Living DJ, the legend himself, Scott Shannon will go over
- 21:58Speaker 2: the Grammys and super Bowl and a lot more coming
- 22:02Speaker 2: up next on seven to ten. WR set up pre
- 22:05Speaker 2: sat on the iHeartRadio app to WR to hear Mark Live.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Set another for Mark's podcast to Hear Him Anytime Now.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Back to Mark Simone on wor.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Well with us now, The Greatest Living DJ, the legend himself,
- 22:23Speaker 2: the legendary Scott Shannon is with us. Of course you
- 22:27Speaker 2: know him for a million years from radio, but he's
- 22:29Speaker 2: also runs the true Oldies channel, which you should be
- 22:32Speaker 2: listening to, and he's with us now. Scotch Shannon, how
- 22:36Speaker 2: you doing?
- 22:38Speaker 3: I am fantastic good Martin from the frozen tundra of
- 22:44Speaker 3: South Florida. We're not used to this kind of weather.
- 22:47Speaker 3: But it's very cold.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Well how cold is.
- 22:49Speaker 3: It it's been? It has been down to thirty thirty
- 22:53Speaker 3: two at night. Got their flowers covered up? Yeah, I
- 22:59Speaker 3: give you a too. You know, I was watching the
- 23:02Speaker 3: local news on the ABC affiliate here in South Florida,
- 23:07Speaker 3: and you know how they made the announcements about school
- 23:09Speaker 3: closings and oh something such a school is going to
- 23:12Speaker 3: open up late. Ye, well, I'm watching it. I swear
- 23:16Speaker 3: this is a true story. They come on to announce
- 23:20Speaker 3: across the bottom of the screen that the message said
- 23:24Speaker 3: two hour delays in the opening of the pickle bowel courts.
- 23:32Speaker 3: You got to delay those man, you can't get out
- 23:34Speaker 3: there for two hours.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Wow. Did you watch the Grammys last night?
- 23:40Speaker 3: Well? I watched them because I did it so you
- 23:45Speaker 3: wouldn't have to. But I'm kind of interesting because besides
- 23:51Speaker 3: the Grammys, you had a great Knicks game on last
- 23:55Speaker 3: night where they knocked out the Lakers. That was interesting.
- 23:59Speaker 3: You also had American Idol, who's had pretty good numbers
- 24:03Speaker 3: in the last couple of seasons, and the new season
- 24:06Speaker 3: of Bridgerton kicked off last night too.
- 24:09Speaker 2: And I gotta be honest, I don't even know what Bridgerton.
- 24:12Speaker 2: I've never watched Bridgerton.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Oh I don't either, but I got someone in the
- 24:17Speaker 3: house that does, so she was all excited. I watched
- 24:23Speaker 3: as much as I could take it. It wasn't as
- 24:28Speaker 3: much you know, uh Trump banging as usually you'll see
- 24:35Speaker 3: him do. And there was a few little stabs and jabs,
- 24:38Speaker 3: but it wasn't as bad as normal. Trevor Noah, who
- 24:44Speaker 3: thinks he's funny and occasionally touches on funny, but he
- 24:52Speaker 3: they just see him. They just see him sit down
- 24:55Speaker 3: and have a little chit chat with the bad Bunny guy.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Uh Mad Bunny wanted nothing to do with his.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Crap what Trevor Noah is. He's a political commentator, shouldn't
- 25:10Speaker 2: you have an actual comedian to host the Grammy's not
- 25:12Speaker 2: a political guy?
- 25:14Speaker 3: I think so well. Like I said, I think he
- 25:18Speaker 3: likes to identify as funny. I'm not sure that he is.
- 25:24Speaker 3: I keep waiting for it, and he did it. He
- 25:27Speaker 3: did a pretty decent job. And I know this is
- 25:30Speaker 3: going to sound weird, but I kind of like mister
- 25:32Speaker 3: bad Bunny. I thought I thought he was very sincere,
- 25:37Speaker 3: seemed like a nice guy. He doesn't speak English very well,
- 25:41Speaker 3: you know, he's a Spanish guy. And then did you
- 25:45Speaker 3: see the line where Trevor Noah said, I don't like
- 25:49Speaker 3: what's going on in this country? Can I move in
- 25:51Speaker 3: with you in Puerto Rico? Bad? Bunny said, No, it's
- 25:56Speaker 3: worse there.
- 25:58Speaker 2: I don't know. Bunny looks a little weird too. You
- 26:00Speaker 2: know when he when he won, did you see him
- 26:01Speaker 2: cover his face for like thirty seconds like he was crying.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Well, I think do you think he was emotional or something?
- 26:08Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know. And it's just a
- 26:10Speaker 2: weird guy. He's kind of creepy looking, isn't he?
- 26:14Speaker 3: Yeah, a little bit, But I thought, like I said,
- 26:16Speaker 3: I didn't think it was that bad. I thought he
- 26:19Speaker 3: was okay. I mean he didn't he didn't reach as
- 26:22Speaker 3: hard as uh as Trevor did. Yeah, did you did?
- 26:27Speaker 3: I'm sure you didn't watch the Red Carpet. No, you
- 26:31Speaker 3: didn't see that girl? Uh chapel erone she is Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 26:37Speaker 3: she's she wanted she won a big award last year.
- 26:42Speaker 3: She's uh, she does a pink pony song.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Well I saw her coming in and she had this
- 26:50Speaker 3: dress on and and I'm pretty sure it was supported
- 26:56Speaker 3: by nipple clamps on her. I'm not kidding you. The
- 27:03Speaker 3: whole dress was suspended by the nipples. I don't think
- 27:09Speaker 3: she had the nerve to wear it when she went
- 27:11Speaker 3: on television, but she definitely came in like that. And
- 27:16Speaker 3: you know, they had something for everyone last night. The
- 27:19Speaker 3: worst thing. Remember last season, they caught a lot of
- 27:22Speaker 3: heat for not doing tributes for all the full all
- 27:27Speaker 3: the people who had passed away during the year.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Yeah, they always missed people. But what happened last night.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Well, last night they went the other way. They honored
- 27:37Speaker 3: everybody that went I was the worst part of the show.
- 27:42Speaker 3: I mean they God blessed Weba mcindar. They had her
- 27:46Speaker 3: sing a song for about ten minutes and the names
- 27:49Speaker 3: would be behind her, you know who passed away, and
- 27:53Speaker 3: they named every attorney and producer, anyone ever connected with
- 27:58Speaker 3: the music business. And then on came I guess they
- 28:04Speaker 3: separated the It looked like they separated white from black.
- 28:09Speaker 3: And then all the rappers came up and then they
- 28:14Speaker 3: played and sang while they had the names go up
- 28:18Speaker 3: in the back. Same deal. It's kind of crazy, but
- 28:22Speaker 3: they had something for everybody. If you're over the age
- 28:25Speaker 3: of fifty, they had Reba McIntyre. You know, Joni Mitchell
- 28:31Speaker 3: was there. Oh Carol, Yeah, she was there. She didn't
- 28:37Speaker 3: get her. She didn't bounce around much. She was pretty
- 28:39Speaker 3: much confined. I think she was in a wheelchair. And
- 28:43Speaker 3: Carol King was a presenter. Now you know her. She
- 28:46Speaker 3: didn't like to go anywhere. Yeah, so hey, yeah, she
- 28:52Speaker 3: only showed up one time for her own Broadway play.
- 28:57Speaker 3: Oh don't forget cheer. She was there.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah, No, who's the oldest person in the room?
- 29:01Speaker 2: Share with? I think when that right, she's older than the.
- 29:07Speaker 3: I think it would be a toss up with her
- 29:09Speaker 3: and Joni.
- 29:11Speaker 2: What's the deal with Justin Bieber? Why was he up
- 29:13Speaker 2: there in his underwear doing that song?
- 29:16Speaker 3: But I know he was. Now, that wasn't the worst
- 29:20Speaker 3: I happened to. I happened to appreciate Lady Gaga. But
- 29:25Speaker 3: she came out there with a bird cage on her
- 29:28Speaker 3: head or I'm not sure it was a bird cage
- 29:33Speaker 3: without a bottom, because she had a bird cage over
- 29:36Speaker 3: her head so you couldn't see her face. Well, that
- 29:40Speaker 3: might have not been That might have not It might
- 29:42Speaker 3: have not been the worst thing that could happen, though,
- 29:46Speaker 3: So she had that song. She did that song Abracadaver
- 29:49Speaker 3: if you know that one.
- 29:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:51Speaker 2: No, I love all the music, but there's no reason
- 29:53Speaker 2: to look at these people. You can just listen to
- 29:54Speaker 2: it on the radio. You don't need to see them,
- 29:56Speaker 2: do you.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Well. They had a pretty good uh tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.
- 30:01Speaker 3: It was a little, you know, a little rocky, but
- 30:03Speaker 3: it was nice. Post Malone was a good singer. They
- 30:06Speaker 3: had Slash on guitar and the and the drummer from
- 30:10Speaker 3: Chili Peppers.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey. Speaking of Bad Bunny, he's going to be
- 30:14Speaker 2: a halftime entertainment at the super Bowl. Uh. Donald Trump
- 30:18Speaker 2: has announced he will not go to the super Bowl.
- 30:19Speaker 2: He said it's just too far. It's California. But a
- 30:22Speaker 2: lot of people think it's because it's Bad Bunny, who's
- 30:24Speaker 2: going to attack him some point during the halftime show.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Have you have you ever? Can you tell me one
- 30:31Speaker 3: song by Bad Bunny? Uh?
- 30:33Speaker 2: No? Is he any good?
- 30:37Speaker 3: I guess he's good for Spanish speaking people. I mean
- 30:40Speaker 3: it seems to me. You know the other thing about
- 30:44Speaker 3: the super Bowl? Are you have you seen the Buttweiser
- 30:47Speaker 3: commercial yet?
- 30:48Speaker 1: No?
- 30:49Speaker 3: The one there there's a preview going on and it's
- 30:53Speaker 3: really really good. Might be one of the best commercials
- 30:57Speaker 3: I've ever seen for the Super Bowl. And they have
- 31:00Speaker 3: good commercials, but this one, it's really interesting. They have
- 31:05Speaker 3: a Clydesdale horse when he's young, he's the little baby
- 31:09Speaker 3: Clydesdale horse and he's outside and you see a little
- 31:12Speaker 3: bird sitting there in the rain or the snow or something,
- 31:16Speaker 3: and he adopts this little bird turns out to be
- 31:20Speaker 3: a baby eagle, and it shows them growing up together
- 31:24Speaker 3: and hanging out. It's really heartwarming. They grow up again.
- 31:29Speaker 3: They're playing Leonard Skinner Free Bird, you know that song
- 31:32Speaker 3: in the background, and then finally the eagle grows up
- 31:39Speaker 3: and he's perched on the horse's back and he takes
- 31:43Speaker 3: off with that big wingspan and they're playing free Bird.
- 31:48Speaker 3: But and the weird thing about it and not weird,
- 31:50Speaker 3: but they hire that kid Lincoln. You know, the eagle
- 31:55Speaker 3: from Philadelphia. He's the he's the bald eagle that flies
- 32:02Speaker 3: around during the national anthem at their home games at
- 32:06Speaker 3: Lincoln Financial Field. So that's pretty cool.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Yeah, we were talking to Scott Shannon. Hey, the Super
- 32:11Speaker 2: Bowl commercials this year all time record ten million for
- 32:14Speaker 2: a spot on the Super bowl pretty good.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Did they really pay that or not? Do you think?
- 32:20Speaker 2: Well, listen, you're in the broadcasting visits, it's ten million. Yeah,
- 32:23Speaker 2: most people. But you know, if it's a big, big, big, big,
- 32:26Speaker 2: big sponsor, regular all year long spot, maybe you discounted
- 32:30Speaker 2: a little or you're throwing a lot of bonus spots
- 32:32Speaker 2: somewhere else.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Yeah. You know, I heard you mentioned this this morning,
- 32:36Speaker 3: and I'm glad you did, because the liberal press did
- 32:41Speaker 3: everything they could to destroy that millennium movie. Yeah, milagnacuse me.
- 32:47Speaker 3: And they, oh, this isn't going to go anywhere. Who's
- 32:50Speaker 3: going to buy tickets for that? Blah blah the worst thing,
- 32:53Speaker 3: you know, And if you read, I saw a collection
- 32:56Speaker 3: of the horrible reviews, and they came up with every
- 33:00Speaker 3: insult they could possibly put together. And then at the
- 33:05Speaker 3: end of the weekend, she came in third overall for
- 33:10Speaker 3: the other all the movies out she had the she
- 33:14Speaker 3: had the third most tickets sold that weekend. Yeah, and
- 33:19Speaker 3: it made what almost eight million dollars.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Yeah, like an all time record for the last thirty
- 33:25Speaker 2: years for a documentary. And the reviews of the public,
- 33:30Speaker 2: Rotten Tomatoes and all that, very high on the movie.
- 33:32Speaker 2: They loved the movie, So.
- 33:34Speaker 3: What about the critics? They didn't seem to care for much. Well, wait,
- 33:39Speaker 3: you know you said between seven and eight million. That
- 33:43Speaker 3: was what they were expecting. They thought in the industry,
- 33:46Speaker 3: they thought it would be greater that she did between
- 33:49Speaker 3: three and five.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Yeah, a big, big hit. It's going to have and
- 33:52Speaker 2: it's got a lot of publicity. Don't have an even
- 33:54Speaker 2: bigger weekend coming up. Hey, before we run out of time,
- 33:57Speaker 2: what's the deal with Bruce Springsteen with this new protest song?
- 34:00Speaker 2: Is he really is just on principle or is he
- 34:02Speaker 2: trying to get back in the charts.
- 34:06Speaker 3: I believe that. I believe in his principles. I mean,
- 34:10Speaker 3: I think I was shocked that they didn't open up
- 34:15Speaker 3: the show last night at the Grammys with him sitting
- 34:19Speaker 3: there with their guitars singing that song. Yeah, yeah, that
- 34:24Speaker 3: he did show up, But it was in a clip
- 34:28Speaker 3: when they did a tribute to Brian Wilson and he
- 34:33Speaker 3: said he you know, he said he learned a lot
- 34:35Speaker 3: about songwriting from Brian Wilson. But I mean, you listen
- 34:39Speaker 3: to that song. Oh my god? What did he say?
- 34:43Speaker 3: He said, I wrote the song on Saturday, recorded it
- 34:46Speaker 3: on Sunday and you can really tell that.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's pretty catchy. The melody, the arrangement, it's peppy,
- 34:52Speaker 2: it's life. But why is it so catchy if it's
- 34:54Speaker 2: a protest song it's about dying, but it's such a
- 34:57Speaker 2: happy melody. It didn't make much sense.
- 35:01Speaker 3: I just really believe in the Johnny Carson theory about
- 35:06Speaker 3: being a public person. You know, I just don't think
- 35:10Speaker 3: you should lean heavily in anyone. Is that our job?
- 35:15Speaker 3: The people sit around and want to know what Bruce
- 35:17Speaker 3: Springsteen thinks or or me or you.
- 35:24Speaker 2: I don't think so I don't even want to know
- 35:26Speaker 2: what I think. I agree with you. So, hey, we're
- 35:28Speaker 2: out of time. But Scott Shannon runs the True Oldies channel.
- 35:32Speaker 2: Where should people go to hear it?
- 35:34Speaker 3: Well, well, now you can hear something on iHeart Radio
- 35:38Speaker 3: and it's just you go on iHeart Radio on your computer,
- 35:42Speaker 3: your phone, your laptop, whatever, and just say play Scott
- 35:45Speaker 3: Channon's True Oldies Chadel on iHeart Radio. Or if you're
- 35:49Speaker 3: driving around. If you're driving around you have to have
- 35:52Speaker 3: an HD radio in your car. You just go to
- 35:56Speaker 3: you go to ninety three to two. I'm sorry, ninety
- 35:59Speaker 3: two to three HD three and you got it right
- 36:02Speaker 3: there in your car with I think we've got two
- 36:05Speaker 3: commercials an hour. If you like commercials, that's the wrong
- 36:08Speaker 3: place for you.
- 36:09Speaker 2: It's the true Oldiest channel. Actually, I have it as
- 36:11Speaker 2: a preset on my iHeart app and also on my
- 36:15Speaker 2: car as an HD channel. Or just go to True old.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Yeah, Trueoldies Channel dot com. And the thing about it
- 36:23Speaker 3: is is oldies now around the country they consider them
- 36:28Speaker 3: eighties and nineties. Yeah, this is and for many people
- 36:32Speaker 3: that's not an oldie, and we do sixties and seventies.
- 36:36Speaker 2: It's true oldie. So just go to True Oldies Channel
- 36:40Speaker 2: on iHeart, or let's go to True Oldieschannel dot com too,
- 36:44Speaker 2: Scott Shannon, that'll do it. Thanks for being with us.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Have a great week.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Bye bye, Mark, all right, talk to you soon. Take
- 36:50Speaker 2: care the great Scott Shannon. Hey, coming up at noon,
- 36:53Speaker 2: Buck and Clay. Don't forget tonight at nine. I love
- 36:57Speaker 2: this show, Jimmy Fail. It's very funny, interesting every night
- 37:00Speaker 2: at nine it's here on seven ten WR sevent tenrs.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Mark Simon, Well, Hey, Nick Shirley. This is the guy,
- 37:13Speaker 2: the kid. He's like a kid. He's a kid journalist.
- 37:16Speaker 2: But he's the guy that uncovered all the Somalia daycare
- 37:19Speaker 2: fraud alliver Minnesota turned out to be about nineteen million
