Sorrow over sin opens the door to grace instead of leaving you in despair. When your heart breaks under the weight of failure, God is drawing you toward the cross, where every sin has already been answered. Your grief over sin is itself evidence that grace is alive in you, and it leads to the joyful freedom of a forgiven child of God.
