- 0:08Speaker 1: Podcast.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Welcome to Meet Eater Trivia, the only game show where
- 0:13Speaker 2: conservation always wins. I'm your host, Spencer new Warth and
- 0:16Speaker 2: today we're joined by cal Brodie Randall, Carrine, Colin Mackenzie
- 0:21Speaker 2: and Brad Leone. Brad, this is your first time on
- 0:24Speaker 2: the show. How do you feel about your chances at
- 0:26Speaker 2: winning Meat Eater Trivia?
- 0:29Speaker 3: It's probably not very high, Okay, not the best trivia person.
- 0:35Speaker 3: I feel like you guys got a lot more experience
- 0:36Speaker 3: under your belt. Maybe do you guys have like repetitive
- 0:39Speaker 3: questions here?
- 0:40Speaker 4: Well, it's it's basically you.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Guys might know the answers already.
- 0:44Speaker 2: No, no, no, these are all new questions. What would
- 0:46Speaker 2: you say, like a trivia strength and a trivia weakness
- 0:49Speaker 2: is for you?
- 0:50Speaker 1: Yeah? I don't really have any strengths.
- 0:51Speaker 2: And okay, dude, you have.
- 0:57Speaker 5: I can tell you his weakness. He told us yesterday
- 0:59Speaker 5: he doesn't remember the names or words for anything.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Well, I forgot that guy's name yesterday. I felt so bad.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Oh what was the guy? Let's make you feel bad.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I don't remember his name, but it was like he
- 1:12Speaker 1: came in like a second time. I was.
- 1:14Speaker 3: I shook his hands like nice to meet you. He's like,
- 1:16Speaker 3: I met you two hours ago. Oh no, I felt dug.
- 1:20Speaker 4: His grave even deeper. He's like, were you wearing something different?
- 1:25Speaker 2: No, great for you, before asking if they were wearing
- 1:29Speaker 2: something different.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Yeah, well, some guy came in and he was wearing
- 1:32Speaker 1: like a snow outfit. I thought that was him. I
- 1:35Speaker 1: thought he had glasses on. Maybe he took him off.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Uh huh. Now, in a few weeks, Brad is gonna
- 1:40Speaker 2: be on an episode of the Meat Eater podcast. And
- 1:42Speaker 2: yesterday you were messing around with Cal and our Meat
- 1:45Speaker 2: Eater kitchen. What were you guys working on.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Yeah, we were messing around, all right, we're wrenching Spencer.
- 1:49Speaker 1: We were wrenching with some mystery meat. It was a
- 1:52Speaker 1: real whirlwind of of happy accidents. Oh, we were gonna
- 1:56Speaker 1: make bear chili.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Uh huh.
- 1:59Speaker 1: But the bear turned out to be a beaver. And
- 2:02Speaker 1: how does that happen? Yes, question, I was wondering the
- 2:06Speaker 1: same thing.
- 2:06Speaker 3: I'll tell you how it happens. It was poorly wrapped.
- 2:10Speaker 3: It wasn't wrapped at all. It was just shoved in
- 2:12Speaker 3: a bag. It looked like a murder.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Scene and it had no labeling, no date, no label.
- 2:17Speaker 4: It was a bag full of frost and.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Blood and dirt and pine needles, and it was real.
- 2:24Speaker 5: It was his trapping bait.
- 2:29Speaker 1: This It was like someone did a real fourth quarter.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I don't have time for this right now. Let me
- 2:35Speaker 1: just shove it in the freezer. Yeah, and we ate it.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Yeah, what point the process? At what point the process
- 2:43Speaker 2: did you learn it was beaver and not bear.
- 2:46Speaker 4: When we finally got it thought out yesterday morning, and
- 2:50Speaker 4: I didn't. I thought it looked like a busted femur.
- 2:54Speaker 4: And I was like, maybe Randall whacked his bear a
- 2:57Speaker 4: second time. And you know, he was using a three
- 3:00Speaker 4: thirty eight rpm big bullet travels real fast, so I
- 3:05Speaker 4: was like, oh, it's a broken bone, like top of
- 3:10Speaker 4: a tibia or something.
- 3:12Speaker 5: Yeah, And it was sounding more and more like trapping
- 3:15Speaker 5: bait because I've seen Steve chotting those things up with
- 3:18Speaker 5: a hand, two little little beaver thighs.
- 3:21Speaker 6: If it was in that back freezer on the right
- 3:23Speaker 6: by the door, it was definitely trapping bait.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Well, I would didn't say that on on camera because
- 3:29Speaker 4: I was like, no.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Matter what, I feel a lot better about that.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Not that we ate it, but like that's that's how
- 3:37Speaker 3: someone treated it, because I was I was judging kind
- 3:39Speaker 3: of should I did not expect this kind of trash.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Freezer job from the meat eater crew.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I want to tell you a Slack message that came
- 3:49Speaker 2: through at noon yesterday to the company. It said, if
- 3:51Speaker 2: you're smelling something burning in your office, you're not having
- 3:54Speaker 2: a stroke. Cal is burning some beaver in the kitchen.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Well, that was an inaccurate description of what was happening
- 4:01Speaker 3: because we didn't burn anything, and what we did do
- 4:03Speaker 3: is turn that beaver bait into a phenomenal dish.
- 4:07Speaker 5: Smelled fantastic.
- 4:09Speaker 2: All right.
- 4:10Speaker 5: My favorite Slack message from yesterday was if your dog
- 4:13Speaker 5: has been wondering wandering around the office, please come up
- 4:16Speaker 5: the piss on my carpet. Did I say that correctly?
- 4:19Speaker 5: Please come clean up the piss from my carpet?
- 4:22Speaker 2: Which which dog was it? Corinne, did you know?
- 4:24Speaker 4: Okay, did you guys use the recipe from the new cookbook?
- 4:29Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 4:29Speaker 4: So that that was we use the turkey chili verde recipe?
- 4:33Speaker 1: Good?
- 4:33Speaker 4: And then I got it. I just I'll come clean
- 4:36Speaker 4: right now. Like another, Brad and I are the two
- 4:41Speaker 4: worst people in the world to combine and like follow
- 4:46Speaker 4: a recipely distracted. Oh yeah, plus like you just look
- 4:51Speaker 4: and you're like, oh yeah, I got it, Like, yeah,
- 4:54Speaker 4: I don't.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I don't understand at all, hardly can read.
- 4:58Speaker 2: As we won't be seeing a cookbook from you.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Not a second one anytime.
- 5:02Speaker 3: I did one, and I still got a little PTSD
- 5:05Speaker 3: from it.
- 5:06Speaker 1: But uh no, I mean all jokes aside. I don't
- 5:08Speaker 1: really cook for mesipes.
- 5:09Speaker 3: I think they're fun inspiration and it's almost like you
- 5:12Speaker 3: see the picture, you know, I've it's kind I've done
- 5:14Speaker 3: it a thousand times.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I don't really need to read it anymore. We tweaked
- 5:18Speaker 1: a couple of things. It said, the strain something that
- 5:20Speaker 1: seems a little unnecessary, But I'll tell you why. It
- 5:23Speaker 1: came out real great, oh delicious.
- 5:25Speaker 2: That video with cal and Brad will be out later
- 5:28Speaker 2: this year on meat Eater's YouTube channel.
- 5:30Speaker 6: Now, Brad, this is actually be it'll be out on May.
- 5:36Speaker 4: Quick called Wrench Them with Calm Brad.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Yeah, we even played a little ping pong.
- 5:40Speaker 4: Yeah we're shopping that that title around because it can
- 5:43Speaker 4: mean anything.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Right, A lot going on in the med Eater kitchen yesterday.
- 5:47Speaker 1: It was good.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Yeah, Now, Brad, this is a ten round quiz show
- 5:50Speaker 2: with questions from meat Eater's four verticals, which are hunting, fishing,
- 5:54Speaker 2: conservation and cooking. And there is a prize. Meat Eater
- 5:57Speaker 2: will donate five hundred dollars to the conservation organization of
- 6:00Speaker 2: the winners choosing. And because this episode is brought to
- 6:03Speaker 2: you by Athletic Brewing, they're matching our five hundred dollars
- 6:07Speaker 2: donation as well as sponsoring a moneyball question of the week.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Thanks to Athletic Brewing, today's game has the potential for
- 6:14Speaker 2: a fifteen hundred dollars conservation donation. Now we've got a
- 6:19Speaker 2: lot of request Randall to knock it off with the
- 6:22Speaker 2: slurping in the mic.
- 6:23Speaker 5: I saw those requests.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Okay, here we are Randall Fleeds the comun.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Now for the stat of the week this week, we're
- 6:31Speaker 2: looking at player performance in tie breakers. The highest overtime
- 6:36Speaker 2: win percentage belongs to Steve, who has won sixty percent
- 6:41Speaker 2: of the tie breaking rounds he's been part of. That's
- 6:43Speaker 2: followed by Giannis at fifty percent, Brody at forty two percent,
- 6:47Speaker 2: Randall at twenty five percent, and Cal at zero percent.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Thank you, Brad, Cal. What do you think it is
- 6:56Speaker 2: that happens in overtime. You're zero for five lifetime the
- 7:00Speaker 2: overtime round. They're a numerical question. What do you think
- 7:04Speaker 2: happens there that you just don't win any of those?
- 7:06Speaker 4: It's a numerical question, Okay. I like, I remember the
- 7:08Speaker 4: very first round of trivia. It was down to Brody
- 7:10Speaker 4: and I and I felt very confident and then I
- 7:14Speaker 4: literally just remember that that was how long is the gestation?
- 7:18Speaker 7: Right?
- 7:19Speaker 5: Right?
- 7:19Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 7:20Speaker 4: And I was like, oh, yeah, no problem. And then
- 7:23Speaker 4: I was like, oh, I just can't do math.
- 7:25Speaker 5: Okay, how many tiebreaker rounds have we played?
- 7:29Speaker 2: I can't tell you off top of my head. It's
- 7:31Speaker 2: been like twenty five ish. I think it's about a
- 7:33Speaker 2: quarter of our games and in a tie break. But
- 7:36Speaker 2: we're on kind of a drought right now. We haven't
- 7:37Speaker 2: had a tiebreaker in a little bit. Now here's our
- 7:40Speaker 2: Infrequently Asked Question segment. If you have a trivia related
- 7:43Speaker 2: question for our crew, send it to Trivia at the
- 7:46Speaker 2: medeater dot com with the subject line I FAQ. Phil
- 7:49Speaker 2: Owen wants to know. I've always wondered what the logistical
- 7:53Speaker 2: side of things look like for scheduling trivia. I can
- 7:56Speaker 2: sort of imagine how it goes down. I picture there's
- 7:59Speaker 2: a company Why channel in Slack and someone posts to
- 8:02Speaker 2: it something like recording tribut today at one pm in
- 8:04Speaker 2: the podcast studio, we have room for two more. What's
- 8:07Speaker 2: it really like? Well, I make it a priority to
- 8:09Speaker 2: have our trivia heavy hitters on, cal Randall Brody, Steve Jannis.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Sometimes I try to piggyback off a regular episode of
- 8:18Speaker 2: a Meet Eater if there's a guest here I'm really
- 8:19Speaker 2: excited about, like Brad Leoni, We'll move heaven and earth
- 8:23Speaker 2: to make that happen, even if it means Steve can't
- 8:25Speaker 2: be here. Brad, we only a few times in the
- 8:27Speaker 2: history of med Eater Trivia had a guest on without
- 8:29Speaker 2: Steve being here. I think you're the second time now.
- 8:32Speaker 2: So we try to get the guests on if we're
- 8:35Speaker 2: excited about them. I'll send out calendar invites. Usually get
- 8:37Speaker 2: some rejections. For today's episode, to get seven people here,
- 8:41Speaker 2: I had to invite twelve players. It's a Friday, it's
- 8:44Speaker 2: Turkey season, so we got a lot of rejections. But
- 8:47Speaker 2: you know who's never turned down an invite filled the engineer.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Every time I send out a trivia engine invite. Phil
- 8:54Speaker 2: is here. He's like usps man rain sleeper snow. He'll
- 8:59Speaker 2: make it to trivia.
- 9:01Speaker 8: It's kind of my job. I don't really have a
- 9:02Speaker 8: choice on these snows in the room.
- 9:06Speaker 2: You could, Phil, there was even the vacation week you
- 9:08Speaker 2: came in. Anyway, you made it happen.
- 9:10Speaker 5: That's right, You're right.
- 9:11Speaker 8: I'm gonna start sticking up for myself, Spencer with Phil,
- 9:13Speaker 8: Can I walk out right now?
- 9:14Speaker 1: Is that okay?
- 9:14Speaker 2: You've earned it?
- 9:15Speaker 5: I'd say I haven't turned down one either. I've in
- 9:18Speaker 5: fact invited myself to several games that I've heard about.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I get I'll get an email from Randall if
- 9:23Speaker 2: he gets word of a trivia game happened.
- 9:25Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm wasn't involved with There is one when I
- 9:28Speaker 5: accused you of leaving me out and he said, I
- 9:30Speaker 5: just haven't sent the invitation. It'll be forthcoming in three
- 9:33Speaker 5: or four minutes.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Here we are now for the housekeeping this week. We'd
- 9:38Speaker 2: like to let you know that the Meat Eater trivia
- 9:40Speaker 2: board game is back in stock. We sold out of
- 9:42Speaker 2: it within five weeks back in twenty twenty three, but
- 9:45Speaker 2: we just got another run of them in the Meat
- 9:47Speaker 2: Eater store. The game is twenty five dollars and is
- 9:49Speaker 2: nineteen reviews for an average of four point eight four stars.
- 9:53Speaker 2: These won't last long, though, so get your copy of
- 9:56Speaker 2: the Only board game where conservation Always wins at store
- 9:59Speaker 2: dot com, the meadeater dot com, now the Shelby indexpert.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Today's round is a four point five, so our winner
- 10:06Speaker 2: should get nine correct answers, and with that we're onto
- 10:09Speaker 2: the game of trivia. Play the drop, Phil, Look, I
- 10:15Speaker 2: need to know what I stand to win everything?
- 10:19Speaker 5: How's that?
- 10:20Speaker 1: Just tend to win everything?
- 10:28Speaker 4: Game on Suckers.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Question one. The topic is biology, and as always, this
- 10:34Speaker 2: will be multiple choice. Which of these animals is not
- 10:39Speaker 2: native to Florida? Is it bison, flamingo, cayman, or crappy? Brad?
- 10:48Speaker 2: If you need to see the question again, it's on
- 10:50Speaker 2: the screen behind you. Which of these animals is not
- 10:53Speaker 2: native to Florida? Bison, flamingo, cayman, or crop? I don't know?
- 11:04Speaker 1: Like it? Yeah? It does? It seems like the obvious one,
- 11:07Speaker 1: isn't it. Yeah, but I'm kinda have to stick with
- 11:09Speaker 1: the obvious.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Okay, Brad, I don't want to offend you, but you
- 11:13Speaker 2: kind of look like a Florida man today.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Anyone ever told you you're not wrong?
- 11:17Speaker 2: Man?
- 11:18Speaker 3: I look like I could be possibly roofing your house
- 11:20Speaker 3: in Florida.
- 11:22Speaker 1: There's no doubt about it. That a T shirt sleever, is
- 11:24Speaker 1: it like a neck gate? It's like a net gator
- 11:27Speaker 1: that I kind of wear. Is like a head thing.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Love it. But I bet you wore T shirt sleeves
- 11:31Speaker 2: on your head back in the day.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Right, No, No, I've tied a couple of T shirts
- 11:35Speaker 3: on my head, but not a sleep I didn't know.
- 11:38Speaker 3: I've never even thought of that.
- 11:39Speaker 1: That's not a bad back in the day.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Here's another fashion question for you. Have you ever cut
- 11:42Speaker 2: the sleeves off of hoodie? Brad? This is like the
- 11:45Speaker 2: that as soon as you walk in perfect springtime garment,
- 11:48Speaker 2: like a real belichick of you.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Bill.
- 11:50Speaker 2: He inspired me to do it. I figure if Bill
- 11:53Speaker 2: does it, it can't be wrong.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Well, I wouldn't stick to that, which you might get
- 12:00Speaker 1: caught camera get canceled there by.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Which of these animals is not native to Florida? Bison, flamingo,
- 12:10Speaker 2: cayman or croppy? Is everybody ready? Wait a minute, got
- 12:15Speaker 2: Brody making a last second change? Bison, flamingo, Cayman Croppy.
- 12:19Speaker 7: Something just happened over in this corner because both wowe.
- 12:24Speaker 2: It seems like three of them are native to Florida.
- 12:27Speaker 2: One of them is not. Is everybody ready A way?
- 12:29Speaker 1: Is a bison from Florida?
- 12:32Speaker 2: Okay, Brad is telling us his answer before.
- 12:36Speaker 1: You're gonna want to write that a little bigger?
- 12:37Speaker 4: Is everybody ready?
- 12:39Speaker 1: Yep?
- 12:39Speaker 2: No making last second change, Go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 12:46Speaker 2: We have cal saying Cayman. Corrienn crossed out bison.
- 12:50Speaker 4: Crapy held it wrong, even though it's up on the board.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Randall says Cayman. Mackenzie says flamingo. Colin says came in.
- 12:58Speaker 2: He crossed out flamingo. Brody says Cayman. He crossed out flamingo.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Brad says Cayman, the correct dance. He crossed out bison.
- 13:08Speaker 2: The correct answer is Cayman. The room did very well.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Bison are native to northern Florida, Flamingos are native to
- 13:17Speaker 2: southern Florida, and crappy are native statewide. Although came in
- 13:21Speaker 2: are found in the southern and eastern part of Florida,
- 13:24Speaker 2: they're actually native to South America and Central America came
- 13:27Speaker 2: in are considered one of the state's worst invaders because
- 13:30Speaker 2: of how they outcompete native alligators and crocodiles. Question two,
- 13:35Speaker 2: The topic is cooking. A cable network with cooking content
- 13:40Speaker 2: is named after this tree, which has flowers that taste
- 13:44Speaker 2: like ginger and jasmine.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Easy one.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Brad says, this is an easy one. The topic is cooking.
- 13:55Speaker 2: A cable network with cooking content is named after this tree,
- 14:00Speaker 2: which has flowers that taste like ginger jasmine.
- 14:04Speaker 8: Who else cable anymore?
- 14:06Speaker 2: We can we can talk about that after bread. It is,
- 14:09Speaker 2: in fact a cable network. Cable network with cooking content
- 14:13Speaker 2: is named after this tree, which has flowers that taste
- 14:16Speaker 2: like ginger and jasmine. We have Brad who is very confident.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Krinn thinks she knows that Cal has not picked up
- 14:21Speaker 2: his board quite yet. What he got?
- 14:23Speaker 5: Randalls, I think I have the answer, but I I
- 14:27Speaker 5: would have never called it a cable network.
- 14:29Speaker 9: Okay, yeah, like a show a network?
- 14:33Speaker 1: Right?
- 14:34Speaker 8: Yeah, the place with Steve today?
- 14:38Speaker 9: Uh huh, you know people do people make tea or Regular's.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Not going to give you any hints, karenn Now what
- 14:44Speaker 2: are we doing? Yeah, we can talk about it.
- 14:46Speaker 1: After friend too.
- 14:49Speaker 5: You were I'll point out you you were were engaging
- 14:52Speaker 5: in a lot of verbal thought on the previous question.
- 14:56Speaker 3: So he's trying to immediately and now listen, I'm doing
- 15:02Speaker 3: good here.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Colin, you have this one right, No chance? Okay. He
- 15:08Speaker 2: also wants to shut down the.
- 15:10Speaker 4: Hinting named after this tree.
- 15:13Speaker 2: A cable network with cooking content is named after this tree,
- 15:18Speaker 2: which has flowers that taste like ginger and jasmine. What
- 15:21Speaker 2: do you got, Mackenzie?
- 15:23Speaker 7: I don't like the notebooks because I can't. You guys
- 15:25Speaker 7: still have to see my answers that I got wrong.
- 15:28Speaker 2: You can just cross them out. We have whiteboards here
- 15:33Speaker 2: in the mediator studios.
- 15:34Speaker 4: So subjective to one's palette. I think it should be
- 15:37Speaker 4: thrown out.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Nope, we're accurate. Question.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Is everybody ready?
- 15:44Speaker 2: Go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Cal saying magnolia,
- 15:49Speaker 2: Karen saying magnolia, Randall the same answer, Mackenzie with the
- 15:53Speaker 2: same answer, Colin without an answer, Brody with no answer.
- 15:57Speaker 2: You're just not gonna show us your answer. No, I
- 15:59Speaker 2: don't know answer, Brad saying magnolia. They got it. The
- 16:02Speaker 2: correct answer is magnolia. The Magnolia Network was originally called
- 16:07Speaker 2: the DIY Network, but was rebranded in twenty twenty two
- 16:11Speaker 2: when Chip and Joanna Gaines left HGTV to go to Discovery.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Magnolia flowers can be eaten, fresh, fried, dried, or pickled.
- 16:19Speaker 2: To learn how to pickle him, go to Bradleyoni's YouTube
- 16:22Speaker 2: channel and watch his video called Pickled Magnolia Pedals on
- 16:25Speaker 2: Fresh Sushi. They identify as a cable network and satellite
- 16:30Speaker 2: network and I think streaming service as well, so on
- 16:32Speaker 2: their own website they call themselves a cable network. Brad,
- 16:37Speaker 2: do you cook with Magnolia pedals a lot? Or was
- 16:40Speaker 2: that rarity?
- 16:41Speaker 6: No?
- 16:42Speaker 3: I mean I have one in my yard, so it's
- 16:43Speaker 3: just something that I'm on the fool around. It's a
- 16:46Speaker 3: beautiful flower. When you put it in the vinegar, it
- 16:49Speaker 3: it does it kind of really tastes like and even
- 16:52Speaker 3: looks like when you go to like a like a
- 16:54Speaker 3: sushi takeout place and they have that little pickled.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Ginger little thing. It's very very similar, great in a cocktail.
- 17:00Speaker 3: And then if you squeeze the the pedal that you pickle,
- 17:05Speaker 3: this like really vibrant, almost like Col's little book there.
- 17:10Speaker 1: This brilliant vinegar comes.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Out and they pickle very quickly.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, a couple of days, not even day. Yeah.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Question three, the topic is conservation. This next great question
- 17:21Speaker 2: comes to us via Jay Rizzo. Located in Grand Teton,
- 17:26Speaker 2: this mountain town's airport is the only commercial airport that's
- 17:30Speaker 2: inside of a national park. His question three, The topic
- 17:35Speaker 2: is conservation. Located in Grand Teton, this mountain town's airport
- 17:40Speaker 2: is the only commercial airport that's inside of a national park.
- 17:45Speaker 4: I don't want to be a real buzzkill. Here is
- 17:47Speaker 4: a terrible question. Oh why is that?
- 17:50Speaker 1: Cal?
- 17:51Speaker 4: I'm ready to do some arguing with this one.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a conservation public lands question.
- 17:59Speaker 5: It's one of the great anomalies of our national park system.
- 18:02Speaker 5: I think it's ripe for trivia.
- 18:04Speaker 2: The only.
- 18:08Speaker 4: You want the name of the town, tell me the town,
- 18:10Speaker 4: private jet traffic?
- 18:14Speaker 1: Cal?
- 18:14Speaker 2: Is it all related to conservation?
- 18:16Speaker 7: Is that?
- 18:16Speaker 5: Though I was working.
- 18:18Speaker 1: In this area, and I remember when it was it was.
- 18:23Speaker 5: It would have been when Clinton was running and it
- 18:27Speaker 5: was a big deal because he flew into this airport.
- 18:31Speaker 5: Oh really, mm hmmm mmmm.
- 18:33Speaker 4: Interesting one like one of the smaller airports. Air Force
- 18:37Speaker 4: one is ever, probably.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Located in Grand Teta on this mountain. Town's airport is
- 18:43Speaker 2: the only commercial airport that's inside of a national park.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Despite what Cal says, this is a great question, Jay Rizzo,
- 18:50Speaker 2: We appreciate you writing in.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Oh, I thought.
- 18:52Speaker 4: It was the Riza and then I was excited.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Does everybody have an answer?
- 18:58Speaker 4: Oh, I can't wait to see people's answer.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Cal saying
- 19:05Speaker 2: Jackson hole, Karin saying Jackson Hole, Randall says Jackson Wyoming,
- 19:09Speaker 2: Mackenzie says Jackson hole, Colin says Jackson, Brody says Jackson,
- 19:15Speaker 2: Brad says Jackson Jackson hole. Ain't We're gonna give it
- 19:18Speaker 2: to you if you had Jackson, because I believe it's
- 19:20Speaker 2: jack it's the Jackson Hole Airport. We'll give it to
- 19:24Speaker 2: you if you said Jackson hole. I want to point
- 19:26Speaker 2: out that Karin crossed off what the hole? Oh okay,
- 19:35Speaker 2: she got it extra right there. Grant Teton National Park
- 19:38Speaker 2: was established in the nineteen twenties and the Jackson Hole
- 19:42Speaker 2: Airport was built in the nineteen thirties. Initially, the airport
- 19:46Speaker 2: wasn't part of the park, but when the Grand Tetons
- 19:49Speaker 2: expanded in the nineteen fifties, the airstrip got swallowed up
- 19:52Speaker 2: by the Department of the Interior. Today, the airport serves
- 19:55Speaker 2: as a popular mating ground for sage grouse, even though
- 19:58Speaker 2: it's the busiest air strip in all of Wyoming.
- 20:01Speaker 4: So there you go.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Cal another ingredient for why that's a good conservation question.
- 20:08Speaker 2: I believe there is.
- 20:09Speaker 5: I believe there is some controversy about whether or not
- 20:13Speaker 5: to allow jet traffic in there.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:15Speaker 2: I think it's it's been a battle for a while
- 20:18Speaker 2: and they just gave up. And like I said, it's
- 20:19Speaker 2: the busiest airport now and all of Wyoming.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Question four, they're like, but look at the money coming out.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Question for the topic is fishing. This next great question
- 20:29Speaker 2: is via Joshua Wallace. Fishing organizations often promote the practice
- 20:34Speaker 2: of CPR, which stands for what is question four? Fishing
- 20:42Speaker 2: organizations often promote the practice of CPR, which stands for what.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Brad has a perfect game going so far, but he
- 20:52Speaker 2: doesn't look as confident on this one.
- 20:54Speaker 1: No, I'm really gonna We're gonna need a miracle here.
- 20:56Speaker 2: But what does CPR stand for? Practice that? Fishing organizations
- 21:03Speaker 2: often promote Brody has this one right. He appears to
- 21:08Speaker 2: have thrown his notebook down with some confidence.
- 21:11Speaker 9: He also seems pissed.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Hmmm, he's not happy about the Jacksonville they call jackson
- 21:17Speaker 2: They call it the Jackson Hole Airport. I'll give it
- 21:20Speaker 2: to you. If you said jackson Hole, you said what
- 21:23Speaker 2: I did, say what Mountain Town I did. I'm gonna
- 21:27Speaker 2: be a little lenient today.
- 21:28Speaker 4: I feel bad for Brad here because his nickname is
- 21:31Speaker 4: Brad is commercial Carl on the water, and I don't
- 21:35Speaker 4: think this acronym really fat commercial.
- 21:38Speaker 2: There's a hint for Brad, cal is offered up. Fishing
- 21:42Speaker 2: organizations often promote the practice of c p R, which
- 21:47Speaker 2: stands for what.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Yeah, Carl's definitely banned from these organizations.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Again, Brodie is the only one who appears to be confident. Randall,
- 21:56Speaker 2: do you have this one right?
- 21:58Speaker 5: I don't think so.
- 22:02Speaker 2: We are using notebooks today, the whiteboards we normally use.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Got to what fish organization you're talking about? You think
- 22:10Speaker 2: there's organizations that have a different definition of CPR. Maybe
- 22:16Speaker 2: maybe Brad will make one, all.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Right, seems like a real I don't know, I might
- 22:22Speaker 1: made mine up. We'll see if kids, if it's not it.
- 22:24Speaker 2: It should be. Is everybody ready? No, what do you
- 22:28Speaker 2: got there? Randall? I mean, yeah, right, gotta be, gotta
- 22:34Speaker 2: be okay. Brody likes Brad's answer.
- 22:37Speaker 5: Randall, I just think they probably also promote the practice
- 22:41Speaker 5: of normal CPR. So I'm wondering if there's a loophole.
- 22:46Speaker 2: There if you want to try to write down because
- 22:48Speaker 2: I looked up what the normal CPR is like, if
- 22:52Speaker 2: you know, we need to give it to Cal over
- 22:53Speaker 2: here for if you want to write down that one. No,
- 22:58Speaker 2: I'm just.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Kidding, not gonna get you like I'm out of shape.
- 23:01Speaker 2: No, no, no, just giveing an example if we had
- 23:03Speaker 2: to do CPR. That's a hard accrodent. I think that's my.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Blood pressure against anybody in this room.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Is everybody ready? Go ahead and reveal your answers. We
- 23:14Speaker 2: have Cal saying cut, put release, Corinn without an answer.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Randall says, catch photography, photograph, photogra relief. Mackenzie says concern
- 23:27Speaker 2: protect return, Colin says catch photography, release, Brody says catch
- 23:35Speaker 2: photo release, Brad says catch picture release.
- 23:39Speaker 4: Wow, the correct.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Answer is photo or picture or photography and release. So
- 23:47Speaker 2: about half of you take that.
- 23:48Speaker 5: Right, pulmonary resuscitation.
- 23:51Speaker 4: There you go.
- 23:52Speaker 2: I believe that's what the real CPR I saw.
- 23:55Speaker 4: It would be like cut the line if the hook's
- 23:58Speaker 4: too deep.
- 24:00Speaker 2: CPR has become especially popular in the bass, trout and
- 24:04Speaker 2: tournament fishing communities. Tournaments that you CPR will have the
- 24:08Speaker 2: angler take a picture of the fish on an approved
- 24:11Speaker 2: measuring board with the fish's value being placed on length
- 24:14Speaker 2: instead of weight.
- 24:16Speaker 3: We used to do a tournament to tournament with belly
- 24:19Speaker 3: support and wet hands.
- 24:20Speaker 2: There you go, Yeah, they'll say CPR. I feel like
- 24:26Speaker 2: that's that's quite common, Like I said in the bass
- 24:28Speaker 2: and trout communities.
- 24:29Speaker 4: Question five, that's a good question, Spencer.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Way to go, Thank you, Thank you, Brad. Question five.
- 24:35Speaker 2: The topic is hunting. This is the Athletic Brewing money
- 24:38Speaker 2: Ball question of the week. For every correct answer provided,
- 24:42Speaker 2: Athletic Brewing is going to make a one hundred dollars
- 24:44Speaker 2: donation that's capped at five hundred dollars. This week, Athletic
- 24:47Speaker 2: Brewing is giving to the National Wild Turkey Federation. Here
- 24:52Speaker 2: is your moneyball question. This company, which used to be
- 24:56Speaker 2: named Maltoid, has the best selling dog treat at Amazon,
- 25:00Speaker 2: Target and Chewy.
- 25:02Speaker 9: What what how is this?
- 25:05Speaker 2: The topic is hunting. This is all of our hunting
- 25:09Speaker 2: dog owners. This company, which used to be named Maltoid,
- 25:13Speaker 2: has the best selling dog treat at Amazon, Target and Chewy.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Brody is confident in so confident. Okay, Brody's got this
- 25:24Speaker 2: one right. He's quite sure of it. Randall has not
- 25:28Speaker 2: joined him with an answer. They're the only ones.
- 25:30Speaker 4: Oh and were you like around when they made the
- 25:33Speaker 4: company name change?
- 25:34Speaker 5: Does that?
- 25:35Speaker 1: I have no idea.
- 25:36Speaker 4: If you're just going with like the most popular.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Thing, Brody's not going to give you any hints. Again,
- 25:44Speaker 2: it's uh this company which.
- 25:47Speaker 4: For sticking little hints in the question.
- 25:49Speaker 2: This company, which used to be named Maltoid has the
- 25:52Speaker 2: best selling dog treat and Amazon, Target and Chewy. Reminder,
- 25:56Speaker 2: this is our athletic brewing moneyball question. So for every
- 25:59Speaker 2: correct answer, provided they're donating one hundred dollars to n
- 26:03Speaker 2: W t F.
- 26:04Speaker 4: You know what I get for dog treats? Those if
- 26:08Speaker 4: you go to the what's the new grocery store that
- 26:11Speaker 4: don't doesn't take credit cards? That one is pretty sweet.
- 26:13Speaker 5: Wink.
- 26:14Speaker 4: Yeah, you go to wincot and you get that giant
- 26:16Speaker 4: thing of cheese puffs. There's there's like no calories, the.
- 26:23Speaker 5: Ball and the big.
- 26:28Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not the answer.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Also, didn't know that they don't take credit cards. They
- 26:34Speaker 2: take debit cards. So strange.
- 26:36Speaker 5: It's like, well, that's how Costco used to be sketchy.
- 26:39Speaker 4: Yeah, there's dragged an entire dead buck out.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Of the gallat and the other day.
- 26:45Speaker 4: One they have good antlers.
- 26:48Speaker 2: On it, just like, Brad, do you own any dogs?
- 26:51Speaker 1: No? Not yet?
- 26:52Speaker 2: Okay, I think me and you were the only non
- 26:54Speaker 2: dog owners in here.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Terrible, No, this was this, This question is not good
- 27:00Speaker 1: for me here.
- 27:01Speaker 2: This company, which used to be named Maltoyd has the
- 27:03Speaker 2: best selling dog treat at Amazon, Target and Chewy. This
- 27:07Speaker 2: is question five. We'll get a scoreboard update from Philly
- 27:10Speaker 2: engineer after this.
- 27:11Speaker 9: You get a half a point for getting the treat right.
- 27:14Speaker 2: No, it's everybody ready, That's.
- 27:16Speaker 9: What I'm wondering. I think I know the treat, but
- 27:18Speaker 9: I don't know if I know this.
- 27:20Speaker 1: I didn't think about that.
- 27:21Speaker 2: It's we're looking for it, says this company ever to
- 27:25Speaker 2: be named Maltoid. Everybody ready, go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 27:30Speaker 2: With cal saying milk bone Coaren is saying.
- 27:33Speaker 5: Net bone Rand Papperoni.
- 27:37Speaker 2: But Randall sang milk bone. Mackenzie sang milk bone, Colin
- 27:41Speaker 2: sang milk bone. Brody says milk bone. Brad without an answer.
- 27:47Speaker 2: The correct answer is milk bone. Five of you got
- 27:51Speaker 2: that right. That means Athletic Brewing is making an extra
- 27:54Speaker 2: five hundred dollars donation the NWTF and I.
- 27:58Speaker 4: Just got me the we're even Steven Brad. Yeah.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Milk Bone was created by New York City's F. H.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Bennett Biscuit Company in nineteen oh eight. It started out
- 28:11Speaker 2: as a small bakery in the Lower east Side and
- 28:14Speaker 2: grew to a two hundred person factory in Buffalo, New York.
- 28:17Speaker 2: The company has since been acquired by Nabisco, Del Monte
- 28:20Speaker 2: Foods and most recently Smuckers.
- 28:22Speaker 4: And the small bakery was like, man, you know dogs
- 28:26Speaker 4: love this.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Do you want to hear a kind of a a
- 28:28Speaker 3: little bit of an odd story about it? So I
- 28:30Speaker 3: should have known this answer. I used to when I
- 28:33Speaker 3: was younger, my neighbors across the street when they went.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Away, I would watch their dogs and they had like
- 28:37Speaker 1: a big box of milk bones, and they oddly smell
- 28:41Speaker 1: like Graham crackers. And I may or may not have
- 28:45Speaker 1: nibbled on one. Okay, I'm just tasted. Uh huh.
- 28:47Speaker 2: And can you recommend them.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Way better than the little carboard A little dry ingredient list,
- 28:54Speaker 1: little sketch, but definitely a little bit you could you
- 28:57Speaker 1: could see the Nibisco influence.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Now only by smuckers.
- 29:03Speaker 7: All kids eat a little bit of dog dog trees
- 29:07Speaker 7: for sure, remember doing that.
- 29:11Speaker 6: We have a box of them upstairs.
- 29:15Speaker 1: I just want to smell.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Reward an extra point if you eat a milk bow
- 29:22Speaker 2: in forest today, Fell we're halfway through the game of trivia.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Give us a scoreboard update.
- 29:27Speaker 8: It's pretty close game today. Corinn, you were in last
- 29:29Speaker 8: place with two points. Mackenzie's up next to three, and
- 29:32Speaker 8: then we've got a four way tie for second place. Colin, Brody,
- 29:36Speaker 8: Cal and Brad all have four points in a first
- 29:39Speaker 8: place with a perfect game. It's Doc tor Randall Williams.
- 29:44Speaker 5: Thanks Phil.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Good.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Question six. The topic is woodsmanship. This next great question
- 29:59Speaker 2: is via C. Jay Emerson. Merriam Webster defines this two
- 30:03Speaker 2: word term as quote a region of reduced rainfall on
- 30:08Speaker 2: the lee side of high mountains.
- 30:10Speaker 9: Stop writing so fast?
- 30:12Speaker 1: What was the category?
- 30:13Speaker 2: This is woodsmanship? Merriam Webster defines this two word term
- 30:18Speaker 2: as quote a region of reduced rainfall on the lee
- 30:22Speaker 2: side of high mountains. Mackenzie did not appreciate how Cockley
- 30:28Speaker 2: Randall wrote his answer.
- 30:29Speaker 5: I don't think I wrote it Cockley at all.
- 30:33Speaker 1: What's what's the lee side of a mountain?
- 30:36Speaker 4: I know I'm getting that's that's I'm trying to remember
- 30:40Speaker 4: the two word for the windward side.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Does anybody want to tell him about the lee side
- 30:45Speaker 2: of a hot of high mountains?
- 30:49Speaker 1: Now, okay, my scoreboard is just gonna plummet. I feel
- 30:53Speaker 1: in the second half of this game.
- 30:54Speaker 2: A lot of game left. Randall thinks he's got the
- 30:57Speaker 2: perfect game still going on question six year for the
- 31:00Speaker 2: two word term that's a region of reduced rainfall on
- 31:04Speaker 2: the least side of high mountain.
- 31:06Speaker 4: Do we know statistically where doctor Randall's weaknesses I could category.
- 31:13Speaker 2: I would guess it is fishing. I can't confirm that, Dorranda,
- 31:17Speaker 2: what would you say? Which of the four verticals?
- 31:20Speaker 5: Uh, I know conservation is the best. I would guess fishing.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Perhaps we've got a fishing question saying about that whopper
- 31:31Speaker 2: popper in this round. If the fishing especially is on
- 31:35Speaker 2: the east side of the Missouri River. Maybe that's that's
- 31:39Speaker 2: specifically his weakness.
- 31:41Speaker 4: You know what I'd get reminded of all the time.
- 31:44Speaker 4: My work bench, my garage, I have a bunch of
- 31:47Speaker 4: salvaged fishing lures from dive in fresh water, and one
- 31:51Speaker 4: of which is a giant Daredevil and it hangs on
- 31:57Speaker 4: my work work banch. Show me how John with You know,
- 32:01Speaker 4: it's like a big pipe and it hangs with the
- 32:05Speaker 4: underside facing me, so it reads the Daredevil brands right there.
- 32:10Speaker 4: And that's one of the fishing ones that has haunted
- 32:12Speaker 4: me because I missed.
- 32:13Speaker 5: It and you'll never You'll never misspell it.
- 32:16Speaker 4: Devil is spelled wrong because the people who founded the
- 32:19Speaker 4: company didn't want to hurt Jesus.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't want to offend the religious anglers. That
- 32:23Speaker 2: was a trivia question probably a year or two ago.
- 32:26Speaker 5: But they were really hung up on the name Daredevil.
- 32:29Speaker 2: That that was the most complimentary Cal had ever been
- 32:33Speaker 2: of a question. He said he really liked it. It
- 32:35Speaker 2: was like very Americana, and he brought it up a
- 32:37Speaker 2: few years later. Cal liked that one. Does everyone have
- 32:41Speaker 2: an answer?
- 32:41Speaker 4: Makes me real self conscious that Spencer's paying this close
- 32:44Speaker 4: attention of me being nice. Wrote it in my diary.
- 32:50Speaker 5: A short checklist. It's one of those notebooks that fits
- 32:54Speaker 5: in your pocket.
- 32:55Speaker 2: A region of reduced rainfall on the lea side of
- 32:59Speaker 2: high minds. Is everybody ready, Go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 33:04Speaker 2: We have Cal saying rain shadow Corin without an answer.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Randall says rain shadow Mackenzie without an answer, say I
- 33:17Speaker 2: got no answer for Colin. We have Brody, who says
- 33:21Speaker 2: alpine desert from the Brad who says, I got nothing.
- 33:26Speaker 2: The correct answer is rain shadow. That means Cal and
- 33:29Speaker 2: Randall got it right. According to National Geographic a rain
- 33:34Speaker 2: shadow region often turns to desert because there isn't enough
- 33:38Speaker 2: precipitation there to support plant growth. Some real world examples
- 33:43Speaker 2: of this are the Great Basin Desert that has a
- 33:45Speaker 2: rain shadow from the Sierra Nevadas and Asheville, North Carolina,
- 33:49Speaker 2: that has a rain shadow from the Smoky and Blue
- 33:52Speaker 2: Ridge Mountains. Question seven, the topic is cooking. Jimmy Buffett
- 33:58Speaker 2: says he wants this semi soft cheese with an orange
- 34:02Speaker 2: rind on his cheeseburger in Paradise.
- 34:07Speaker 1: I hate Jimmy Buffett.
- 34:08Speaker 2: You hate him i'd peg you as a regular old
- 34:11Speaker 2: parrot head.
- 34:11Speaker 9: You look like you.
- 34:14Speaker 2: And a dead head. It's a dead parrot head.
- 34:17Speaker 5: I you look like a pirate.
- 34:20Speaker 1: I am. I dressed like a senior citizen pirate. I got.
- 34:23Speaker 3: I got shoes in the laces, elastic waistband, got a sock,
- 34:29Speaker 3: I got a book sock on my head.
- 34:30Speaker 2: So not not a parrot head. But are you a
- 34:33Speaker 2: dead head?
- 34:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I would definitely got come.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Those are certainly more of my people than i'd gone
- 34:38Speaker 3: dead parrot head tires.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Jimmy Buffett says he wants this semi soft cheese with
- 34:45Speaker 2: an orange rind on his cheeseburger in Paradise.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Orange cheese, orange, It's right.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Jimmy Buffett says he wants this semi soft cheese with
- 34:55Speaker 2: an orange grind on his cheeseburger in Paradise.
- 35:00Speaker 7: The song is so easy to get stuck in your head,
- 35:02Speaker 7: But when you actually need to remember.
- 35:04Speaker 1: How's that song going? I don't know.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Potato you go, cal is walking you up to the answer.
- 35:14Speaker 1: I don't think i've ever heard the song.
- 35:16Speaker 9: You heard it?
- 35:17Speaker 5: He just says, cheese burger, and rhythmically.
- 35:26Speaker 2: I've given you another hint in the question. It says
- 35:28Speaker 2: it's a semi soft cheese with an orange rind, and
- 35:31Speaker 2: it's what Jimmy Buffett wants on his cheeseburger in Paradise.
- 35:35Speaker 2: So you've got two opportunities there to find the answer
- 35:38Speaker 2: in this question.
- 35:39Speaker 5: I just picked something that would make a fun song lyric,
- 35:42Speaker 5: just just a word that sounds okay.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Is it a semi soft cheese with an orange rind?
- 35:48Speaker 2: I think so okay. Jimmy Buffett says he wants to
- 35:54Speaker 2: soft cheese with an orange rind on his cheeseburger in Paradise.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Shouldn't we say?
- 35:58Speaker 4: He used to say he did.
- 36:01Speaker 3: If my answer is correct, I'm not sure it's actually
- 36:03Speaker 3: a orange.
- 36:05Speaker 2: We'll play a song for you after we revealed.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Red and yellow.
- 36:09Speaker 9: I guess, like I said, an essential audio a little.
- 36:14Speaker 5: Is the superfluous audio that you mentioned?
- 36:17Speaker 2: Is everybody ready?
- 36:19Speaker 1: I'm not sure it's a rind either. It's more of
- 36:21Speaker 1: a yea.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Go ahead and reveal your answers. We have cow sang Monster.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Well doesn't have an orange yellow.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Randall, says Guda. Mackenzie says Guda, Colin says, Swiss Brody
- 36:39Speaker 2: says it says Monster. The correct answer is monster. A
- 36:48Speaker 2: few of you, I will google it right now. Everyone
- 36:52Speaker 2: says it's a semi soft cheese and has an orange
- 36:55Speaker 2: or red rind.
- 36:56Speaker 1: But it's not wrong. Great burger cheese wonderfully.
- 37:00Speaker 2: This lyric is one of the most scrutinized in Buffett's
- 37:03Speaker 2: history because some listeners think he says mustard instead of monster,
- 37:08Speaker 2: but journalist Ken Hoffman set the record straight when he
- 37:11Speaker 2: interviewed in the late nineteen seventies. Hoffman asked Buffett, quote,
- 37:16Speaker 2: who puts mustard on a hamburger? Buffett responded, not me.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Why would you even ask me that? Uff Hoffman told
- 37:24Speaker 2: Buffett it's because in the song he sings, quote medium
- 37:27Speaker 2: rare with mustard be nice. That's when Buffett corrected him,
- 37:31Speaker 2: saying the lyrics are monster, not mustard. Played the song Phil,
- 37:37Speaker 2: Oh my.
- 37:38Speaker 4: God, had it ruined my day with this?
- 37:41Speaker 1: I don't know what skipping?
- 37:43Speaker 8: Sorry, guys, double the extras.
- 37:47Speaker 4: Next time we do karaoke. I want Phil to sing though,
- 37:52Speaker 4: Oh could raise that?
- 37:55Speaker 9: Dad?
- 37:55Speaker 4: It margerite holiday, dude.
- 37:59Speaker 1: We were Buffett.
- 38:00Speaker 4: Family growing up. Yeah, all the ants and uncles, Yeah, nonstops.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Maybe I'm like a closet buffet guy.
- 38:08Speaker 10: Can I Oh, I like the little backup where it
- 38:20Speaker 10: was medium rare with monster.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Mustard don't sound bad here.
- 38:26Speaker 4: Ain't go live.
- 38:29Speaker 9: Of a deal to put mustard on a burger though,
- 38:31Speaker 9: like I've done that. Yeah, I feel like that's normal.
- 38:33Speaker 2: I mean, if you put it in a song lyric,
- 38:35Speaker 2: then it seems like you're like very passionate that mustard
- 38:38Speaker 2: should be on a cheeseburger. But it's it's no weirder
- 38:41Speaker 2: than monster you write, Mackenzie, It's.
- 38:42Speaker 5: No weirder than writing a song about a cheeseburger, Yeah.
- 38:46Speaker 4: And printing gold gold records off of it.
- 38:51Speaker 3: Did you know there was actually I don't know which university,
- 38:54Speaker 3: but there was like a college course to study like
- 38:57Speaker 3: the philosophy behind what was that other big song you
- 39:00Speaker 3: had that like Margariteville, Yeah, something stupid thing like that,
- 39:04Speaker 3: And it was like a whole college credited course where
- 39:07Speaker 3: you like studied like the like the deep meaning and
- 39:10Speaker 3: like philosophical application to life from it.
- 39:13Speaker 1: And it's just wow.
- 39:14Speaker 4: But then you zoom out and you're like, oh, the
- 39:17Speaker 4: merch sales and the fact that he's got like planned
- 39:22Speaker 4: retirement communities based around parrot heeads retiring like there was
- 39:27Speaker 4: a deep philosophical meaning.
- 39:29Speaker 1: It's called money.
- 39:30Speaker 5: Money.
- 39:32Speaker 2: We are on to question eight, damn. The topic is wildlife.
- 39:37Speaker 2: This African animal that escaped a trailer in Washington last
- 39:41Speaker 2: week became a social media darling while on the run
- 39:44Speaker 2: for six days.
- 39:46Speaker 4: Washington State, Washington State.
- 39:49Speaker 2: This African animal that escaped a trailer in Washington last
- 39:53Speaker 2: week became a social media darling while on the run
- 39:58Speaker 2: for six days.
- 39:59Speaker 4: Unfortunately, he's becoming just like so common. That is not
- 40:03Speaker 4: that big of a news.
- 40:05Speaker 5: I guided a guy who lived in Louisiana and he
- 40:08Speaker 5: previously operated a hunting operation in Africa, and he had
- 40:11Speaker 5: a small menagerie at his house, and he talked about
- 40:14Speaker 5: the time that his ostriches got away. And then weeks
- 40:17Speaker 5: later he saw an Ostrich on the news and I'll
- 40:21Speaker 5: always remember him saying, that was my damn Ostrich.
- 40:26Speaker 4: Did he get it back? No, probably didn't want to.
- 40:30Speaker 5: I don't think get meant that much to him.
- 40:33Speaker 1: You know.
- 40:34Speaker 8: One time Jimmy Buffett let Bono borrow his private plane
- 40:38Speaker 8: and they were flying over Jamaica and the Jamaican government
- 40:41Speaker 8: didn't didn't know what they were, so they shot at it.
- 40:44Speaker 8: No way, Yeah, I got like several bowl of holes
- 40:46Speaker 8: in it before they were able to contact YouTube.
- 40:49Speaker 4: Plane bono was.
- 40:55Speaker 3: Jamaicans, you gotta aim better, you gotta leave the plane
- 40:57Speaker 3: a little anyway.
- 40:58Speaker 8: It led to Jimmy Buffett writing the Jamaica me crazy.
- 41:01Speaker 8: Wait no that's not no, no, no Jamaica mistake of
- 41:04Speaker 8: that's way better, so much more interesting.
- 41:10Speaker 1: God, that would have been the best thing to happen.
- 41:13Speaker 2: This is question ate. This African animal that escaped a
- 41:16Speaker 2: trailer in Washington last week became a social media darling
- 41:20Speaker 2: while on the run for six days. Now Corinne tasting
- 41:23Speaker 2: table they say that monster cheese is white with a
- 41:27Speaker 2: red orange rind. You still don't think it has a rind,
- 41:30Speaker 2: isn't it.
- 41:31Speaker 1: I think it's a wash.
- 41:33Speaker 7: It's like that very thin.
- 41:36Speaker 2: Now Cook's Info says it's.
- 41:39Speaker 1: A washed rind.
- 41:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I call that the rind the outside part. It's
- 41:44Speaker 4: like it's not the inside that paper thin.
- 41:49Speaker 8: When you say trailer, what do you mean by trailer?
- 41:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean a trailer.
- 41:54Speaker 1: What's coat trailer?
- 41:56Speaker 4: To give you any hints some of us in Fifth Wheel.
- 42:01Speaker 2: I'm not going to give you any more hints about
- 42:03Speaker 2: this African animal that escaped a trailer in Washington last
- 42:08Speaker 2: week and became a social media darling while on the run.
- 42:12Speaker 4: People for the Way I live type of sound bite?
- 42:14Speaker 5: Is that what you're saying, darling?
- 42:17Speaker 1: So it's got to be kind of cute and people
- 42:19Speaker 1: like rooting for it.
- 42:21Speaker 9: An African animal child enough to be on the run
- 42:24Speaker 9: for six to.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Be a problem. It's not a monkey.
- 42:30Speaker 4: Shot that thing.
- 42:32Speaker 9: It's not a giraffe because they can't fit in trailers.
- 42:34Speaker 1: It might be a giraft because people really like them.
- 42:37Speaker 9: They're not.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Oh yeah, man, we're going to hit things with their
- 42:41Speaker 1: head and ship. Don't sleep on the giraffe.
- 42:45Speaker 9: Did it kill any domestic.
- 42:47Speaker 2: We're not going to tell you anymore.
- 42:49Speaker 1: I think it's a giraffe. Now got my head. They
- 42:54Speaker 1: can't they can they get them here, break your neck?
- 42:57Speaker 4: They just maybe they ran you strap giraffe eggs.
- 43:01Speaker 5: They bring him over here as babies.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Okay, smart with me, doctor, they steal them in they're babies.
- 43:07Speaker 1: You're right?
- 43:09Speaker 2: Does everybody have an answer for the African animal that
- 43:13Speaker 2: was on the run for six days came a social
- 43:16Speaker 2: media zar.
- 43:17Speaker 9: I can't say it and then not write it down tonight.
- 43:19Speaker 2: Do you have an answer Brad wonder, is everybody ready,
- 43:22Speaker 2: go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Cal saying zebra,
- 43:27Speaker 2: says elephant. Randall says zebra.
- 43:30Speaker 1: It was a fucking zebra.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Mackenzie says giraffe, Colin says little hippo it was.
- 43:36Speaker 1: It was a little story.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Brody says chimpanze and Brad says, what's that scond Elephant
- 43:43Speaker 2: says elephant. The correct answer is zebra. Cal and Randall
- 43:50Speaker 2: that one that was in Montana.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Sugar.
- 43:57Speaker 2: The zebra was being transported from Washington to Montana when
- 44:01Speaker 2: it escaped along a ninety The mayor was on the
- 44:04Speaker 2: run for six days before it was captured near the
- 44:07Speaker 2: Boxley Creek Natural area. While on the lamb, it was
- 44:10Speaker 2: caught on trail cameras and seen by hikers. Sugar has
- 44:13Speaker 2: since been taken to its new home in Montana, where
- 44:16Speaker 2: it'll live in a petting zoo for Sugar. I don't
- 44:21Speaker 2: know what petting zoo it went to, but they catch it.
- 44:24Speaker 2: But you're right, well, they were putting out the food
- 44:27Speaker 2: stations for it, and they described it as a rescue.
- 44:31Speaker 2: But like Twitter and the rest of social media was
- 44:34Speaker 2: like no, they were like that wasn't a rescue at
- 44:36Speaker 2: all that they wanted to be there. Yeah, so Sugar.
- 44:40Speaker 5: But it didn't know was going to a petting zoo.
- 44:43Speaker 4: Right, if only it did, it could have gone to
- 44:47Speaker 4: a barbecue.
- 44:48Speaker 2: And then folks were showing up to try to see
- 44:50Speaker 2: it and thus scared it more so.
- 44:52Speaker 4: Sugar lasted sex days.
- 44:54Speaker 2: It escaped from a trailer. The person who was transporting
- 44:58Speaker 2: it pulled over on the side of the interstate on
- 45:00Speaker 2: an exit. They were adjusting I think the the trailer
- 45:03Speaker 2: door and four z break and they all came back
- 45:07Speaker 2: except for Sugar.
- 45:08Speaker 4: Sugar, Sugar, Where were they tremendous screw up?
- 45:12Speaker 1: I mean, oh, that guy, that guy messed up big time.
- 45:16Speaker 1: He should get his Where were they going to?
- 45:19Speaker 2: Montana? And I've heard they've now made it here, so
- 45:21Speaker 2: Sugar is now at her They were in route to
- 45:25Speaker 2: to the petting zoo.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Oh so he doesn't want to be They should have
- 45:27Speaker 1: after like day three, it all right. Then it just
- 45:31Speaker 1: goes a mountain lion or something.
- 45:34Speaker 2: Bill, we have two questions left. Give us a leader
- 45:36Speaker 2: board update.
- 45:37Speaker 8: Corrin, Mackenzie and Colin. You're too far behind to catch
- 45:40Speaker 8: up for the victory.
- 45:42Speaker 4: But we've got.
- 45:42Speaker 8: Brody Henderson, Bradleyoni and Randall Williams. Nope, sorry, take that
- 45:47Speaker 8: back rewind and it's been a long life tour. Brody
- 45:49Speaker 8: and Brad you have five points. You can still technically
- 45:52Speaker 8: catch up. If Randall and cow slip up. They're tied
- 45:55Speaker 8: up with seven points in first place.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Cal has seven. Is this potentially cows first?
- 46:01Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a big, big change there. On the monster
- 46:03Speaker 4: question killer over in the court the monster gimme. People
- 46:05Speaker 4: will call it question.

- 47:29Speaker 2: was wondering that sucks two of the three states.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Aren't they all just.
- 47:35Speaker 4: Big impoundment reservoir pond?
- 47:39Speaker 9: I never heard of the first one?
- 47:41Speaker 4: Impoundment impoundment?

- 48:27Speaker 1: Maine's got to be a close fourth. Man.
- 48:29Speaker 2: Alaska has the country at three million. That's that's followed

- 49:01Speaker 4: nervous eyes, right.
- 49:02Speaker 5: That is like, yeah, physiologically.
- 49:10Speaker 4: Live for it.
