- 0:03Speaker 1: the team today?
- 0:03Speaker 2: It was the new game day scratches from the California
- 0:06Speaker 2: Lottery players everything.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Those games sent the team's energy through the roof.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Are you saying it was the off field play that
- 0:11Speaker 1: made the difference on the field.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Hey, little play makes your day, and today it made
- 0:15Speaker 3: the game. That's all for now, coach, One more question.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Play the new Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco forty nine
- 0:21Speaker 1: Ers and Los Angeles Rams scratchers from the California Lottery.
- 0:25Speaker 1: A little play can make your day. Peace made responsibil
- 0:28Speaker 1: must be eighteen years or older to purchase late or claim.
- 0:30Speaker 4: All right, guys, welcome back.
- 0:32Speaker 5: We got a very special edition today man Alsia Podcast,
- 0:36Speaker 5: So shout out to New Orleans Day and no sure
- 0:41Speaker 5: for sure, I'm looking for me and yeah.
- 0:45Speaker 4: Boys, yeah.
- 0:48Speaker 5: One of the best things about the podcast is that
- 0:50Speaker 5: we get to travel, and we even put out traveling.
- 0:52Speaker 5: We get to meet people from all different parts of
- 0:55Speaker 5: the world right in, different coaches and different dialects and
- 0:59Speaker 5: just different coaches. Is just it's really dope. So yeah,
- 1:03Speaker 5: we we we got my gy wall Street travel here today.
- 1:05Speaker 5: He's going to tell his story. He going to educate
- 1:07Speaker 5: us on the stock market, all kinds of stuff. But
- 1:09Speaker 5: once again, I wanted to give a shout out to
- 1:11Speaker 5: New Orleans because I always say, like New Orleans they
- 1:13Speaker 5: got every Every place in America has different accents, right,
- 1:19Speaker 5: depending on where you're at, but some places just you
- 1:22Speaker 5: can't miss, like right Baltimore and in New Orleans, they
- 1:26Speaker 5: got their own, especially New Orleans.
- 1:28Speaker 4: New York might have the strongest accent. Can't hear me,
- 1:34Speaker 4: what what does that mean?
- 1:36Speaker 3: Guy? My young friend, my guy, it's like saying, we
- 1:40Speaker 3: don't even use that.
- 1:44Speaker 6: When we heard you talking. I heard son, I heard
- 1:46Speaker 6: you kept saying, sound like I got a little New
- 1:48Speaker 6: York and them.
- 1:49Speaker 2: But you know I came out hand well, I was
- 1:51Speaker 2: in Delaware. I got some trouble.
- 1:58Speaker 5: So yeah, so yeah, So this is this is an
- 2:01Speaker 5: exciting episode because we covered stocks before, but we're more
- 2:05Speaker 5: more on a surface level, like it's like one on
- 2:07Speaker 5: one education. So I think this would be a little
- 2:09Speaker 5: bit more of advanced conversation. And the guests they have
- 2:15Speaker 5: different backgrounds. Everybody's everybody's past is different, and that's one
- 2:18Speaker 5: of the things that we really like to highlight with
- 2:19Speaker 5: the Legion podcast too, is that it's so crazy because
- 2:23Speaker 5: we have people that graduated from Harvard, We got people that.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Come off the street corner right school.
- 2:32Speaker 5: The beauty of it is that education can't be measured
- 2:37Speaker 5: in just one particular way.
- 2:38Speaker 6: It's limitless.
- 2:39Speaker 4: There's no walls to.
- 2:40Speaker 5: It, exactly exactly. Some of Man Wall Street travel is
- 2:43Speaker 5: a perfect example of this. So I give the people
- 2:45Speaker 5: a background. So you you learned about the stock market
- 2:48Speaker 5: while you was incarcerated, right, and then you came out
- 2:51Speaker 5: and you was telling me that you was actually working
- 2:53Speaker 5: as not a foreman is it an iron iron iron
- 2:57Speaker 5: iron worker at the time you was like saving like
- 3:00Speaker 5: seventy percent of your income and he was invested in
- 3:03Speaker 5: the stock market. And from there you just you know,
- 3:06Speaker 5: developed a system that you put in place and you
- 3:09Speaker 5: were able to quit your job and now you you
- 3:13Speaker 5: you're a full time investor as well as you have
- 3:14Speaker 5: an educational platform. It's while to teach people to invest.
- 3:17Speaker 5: So it's an inspirational story for sure. Sure, So yeah,
- 3:22Speaker 5: can we we talked about that. So how did you
- 3:24Speaker 5: all right, how did you get involved in the stock
- 3:27Speaker 5: market and how did you learn about stocks?
- 3:30Speaker 2: So I was in prison for like ten years, right,
- 3:32Speaker 2: I did ten years for a ten murder or river right,
- 3:35Speaker 2: that's sixteen.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I was sixteen. Yeah, I went that was sixteen,
- 3:39Speaker 3: charged me as an adult.
- 3:41Speaker 2: So I got in a fight with these three dudes
- 3:44Speaker 2: in a sale with me, and they did what's called uh,
- 3:48Speaker 2: they ran a train on me. So that's when you
- 3:50Speaker 2: fight three. That's when you fight people back to back
- 3:53Speaker 2: without a break. And I didn't win. It's three against one,
- 3:58Speaker 2: but I fought time. Had nothing in me to the
- 4:01Speaker 2: storage come right, So I was busted up, but they
- 4:03Speaker 2: were bust up, right. So I go to the hole,
- 4:06Speaker 2: which is solitary confinement, and I'm in a hole with
- 4:09Speaker 2: this white guy, right, And I guess it just was
- 4:12Speaker 2: like on his brain because he just saw so many
- 4:15Speaker 2: black people there.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Like real talk.
- 4:17Speaker 2: He must have was just bothering him. And he's like
- 4:20Speaker 2: when I come to sell it, I'm like furious. I'm like, mama,
- 4:23Speaker 2: you know, like I'm just I mean, I'm still in
- 4:25Speaker 2: that moment, and he like, hey, bro, uh.
- 4:33Speaker 3: He was like y'all, y'all are playing the wrong game.
- 4:36Speaker 3: And I'm like, you think it's a game, bro, say
- 4:39Speaker 3: no game?
- 4:40Speaker 2: Man?
- 4:41Speaker 3: You see what we got going on here? But he
- 4:43Speaker 3: was like, I don't mean no disrespect by it.
- 4:45Speaker 2: But I'm like, well you've really been disrespectful right now, man,
- 4:48Speaker 2: Like I ain't trying to hear that man like, you know.
- 4:50Speaker 2: But I calmed down, you know, and he was like
- 4:55Speaker 2: I indulged in that conversation with him. I was like, so,
- 4:58Speaker 2: so what do you mean? And so he just told me,
- 5:01Speaker 2: he was like, you in here for you know, shooting somebody.
- 5:06Speaker 3: The average person.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Who's in here is on some drugs or shooting somebody
- 5:11Speaker 2: something like that. Y'all playing the wrong game. So I'm like, well,
- 5:14Speaker 2: you ain't here with me, so what game you're playing?
- 5:17Speaker 2: So you can tell what kind of charge somebody on
- 5:20Speaker 2: body risk band. So if it's if you're a if
- 5:22Speaker 2: you're on a capitol of fence or a violent crime
- 5:25Speaker 2: like I was on, you'll have a red band.
- 5:27Speaker 3: That's a murder of tim murder, carjack and kidnapping.
- 5:30Speaker 2: If you have a drug charge, it'll be an orange band.
- 5:33Speaker 2: If you have a misdemeanor charge, it's a yellow band.
- 5:36Speaker 2: And if you're a federal offense, it'll be a white
- 5:39Speaker 2: and red band.
- 5:40Speaker 3: In New Orleans, so he had a white and red band.
- 5:42Speaker 3: So I knew. I'm like, well, what you're in here for?
- 5:44Speaker 6: That?
- 5:45Speaker 2: So he was enough for embezzling some money from his
- 5:48Speaker 2: business two point eight million dollars.
- 5:50Speaker 6: Those are the white collar crime you did.
- 5:53Speaker 2: So he kept eight hundred thousand. No, he paid restitution
- 5:57Speaker 2: to eight hundred thousand and kept two million.
- 6:00Speaker 3: So I'm thinking he lies.
- 6:01Speaker 2: I'm like, well, one thing about prison is if I
- 6:03Speaker 2: see your paperwork, it'll tell me.
- 6:05Speaker 3: What you're in here for.
- 6:06Speaker 2: So he showed me a paperwork and I was like, oh,
- 6:08Speaker 2: like that got my attention. And so he just told
- 6:11Speaker 2: me three things that wealthy people do is they stop
- 6:15Speaker 2: trading time for money. They give value to people, and
- 6:19Speaker 2: they let their money work for them. And the best
- 6:22Speaker 2: ways for you to make money is through the stock market,
- 6:25Speaker 2: through real estate.
- 6:26Speaker 3: And through a business. And that's me paraphrasing it.
- 6:29Speaker 2: And because he taught me the stock market first, that's
- 6:32Speaker 2: what I went with.
- 6:33Speaker 3: And so through the remainder.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Of my prison sentence, I just educated myself about it
- 6:40Speaker 2: because I don't know how.
- 6:41Speaker 3: This is gonna sound, but I just saw a whole
- 6:43Speaker 3: bunch of white people.
- 6:43Speaker 2: On TV talking about millions of dollars all the time,
- 6:46Speaker 2: foreign language.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Yeah, like I was like, yo, what is this family?
- 6:49Speaker 2: And so in prison, it's crazy because a bunch of
- 6:53Speaker 2: grown men love to watch like the young and the wrestlers.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Br right, it's just crazy, like God in light and
- 6:58Speaker 2: stuff like this. But they he loved to watch that.
- 7:01Speaker 3: So instead of making that a fight, I would get
- 7:05Speaker 3: up before.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Them and watch the stock market early at like eight
- 7:09Speaker 2: o'clock in the morning.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:11Speaker 2: I would watch and be seeing like early in the morning,
- 7:14Speaker 2: and I would be like, I just used to watch.
- 7:15Speaker 3: It was painful because I didn't understand it.
- 7:17Speaker 6: A lot of umber.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I was like, what is this?
- 7:20Speaker 6: A lot of colors had.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Another dude was from Connecticut and he used to get
- 7:25Speaker 2: the USA Today, and so he used to let me
- 7:29Speaker 2: look at his USA Today and I would use that
- 7:31Speaker 2: and look at the stock market back and forth. That's
- 7:34Speaker 2: how I got the language started making sense to me
- 7:38Speaker 2: because whether than reading the interviews, I got to read
- 7:41Speaker 2: the actual business.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Section of the USA Today.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I got to actually see, you know, without trying to
- 7:46Speaker 2: record it in my brain.
- 7:48Speaker 3: I would see it in the newspaper.
- 7:50Speaker 2: And so once it became like regular, I started reading
- 7:55Speaker 2: rich Dad, Poor Dad, which I got introduced to by.
- 7:58Speaker 3: My home and he was doing a twenty years for manslaughter.
- 8:03Speaker 2: So once I got into rich that poor dad, it
- 8:05Speaker 2: was a mindset shift more than an investment book.
- 8:09Speaker 3: And so the two aligned.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Because I understood at that point, this is how we
- 8:14Speaker 2: play the wrong game.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Everybody I know, I know how to sell a dope.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Everybody everybody that I don't know, that's what they do.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Even with my moms.
- 8:22Speaker 2: You know, I saw my moms get shot, you know,
- 8:23Speaker 2: when I was young, When I was about nine, I
- 8:25Speaker 2: saw my moms get shot. And then like right the
- 8:27Speaker 2: next year, I saw my cousin get shot in the chest.
- 8:30Speaker 2: So everybody I knew was in the same circle. And
- 8:33Speaker 2: here are these people talking about stocks, ownership millions, billions,
- 8:37Speaker 2: and that just blew my brain. So I just stayed
- 8:41Speaker 2: with it and I got it, understood it. So that
- 8:43Speaker 2: was me just getting into the stock market right there.
- 8:46Speaker 5: And then I guess you from there, you just consumed
- 8:48Speaker 5: as much information as you could.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Well, in prison, you know you can. You got time,
- 8:53Speaker 2: Well you got times. You don't got time because you
- 8:56Speaker 2: got time because I ain't going to no club or nothing.
- 8:59Speaker 2: But I still gotta work every day, you know. So
- 9:02Speaker 2: I worked in New Orleans is not to cut you
- 9:03Speaker 2: off with.
- 9:04Speaker 5: In New Orleans, you you actually work right like like
- 9:08Speaker 5: I don't want to say chain gang, but like.
- 9:09Speaker 4: You work outside.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:11Speaker 2: So I got transferred to prison. I went there for
- 9:15Speaker 2: a little while to help them with some sandbags. That's
- 9:18Speaker 2: the penitentiary. Yeah, that's the penitential. Yeah, that's the penitentiary.
- 9:22Speaker 2: But I was in. I was in two spots, one
- 9:24Speaker 2: called DCI, not dc I Felps Correctional Center. And then
- 9:30Speaker 2: they transferred me for smoking weed. So they made me
- 9:33Speaker 2: a high security risk. And so when I went to
- 9:36Speaker 2: a maximum security prison, that's when I got in a
- 9:39Speaker 2: chain and when they got to work and cell block.
- 9:41Speaker 4: So they got a real chain game.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Still yeah, yeah, they probably don't have it no more.
- 9:46Speaker 2: But when you're on the work and cell block, that's
- 9:48Speaker 2: what you're doing. You I cut trees down for about
- 9:52Speaker 2: one hundred and ninety days. How about you got paid,
- 9:56Speaker 2: uh a cent? Yeah, no, it's in an hour, in
- 10:03Speaker 2: an hour. Yeah, but when you're in this, you don't
- 10:07Speaker 2: get no paid. You don't get no paid. That's punishment.
- 10:11Speaker 2: That's like, that's the jail within the jail, and.
- 10:14Speaker 5: That's something that this is a little off topic. But
- 10:15Speaker 5: it's really not because it all comes down to finances.
- 10:17Speaker 5: But that's something that a lot of times people don't
- 10:18Speaker 5: fully understand, like when they make these documentaries the thirteenth
- 10:21Speaker 5: Year when they talk about like free label and stuff
- 10:24Speaker 5: like that. There it's a billion dollar industry as far
- 10:27Speaker 5: as prisoners working, but they're not getting it's free labor.
- 10:31Speaker 3: That's what that's that's the newer, that's the yo. Check
- 10:35Speaker 3: this out.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Just imagine just imagines driving on the highway and you
- 10:41Speaker 2: see acres of land. Now you see machines doing that.
- 10:49Speaker 2: So just imagine I'm the machine. So every day, three
- 10:55Speaker 2: of us, it's take four of us to cut a
- 10:56Speaker 2: tree down because three two of us gonna chop it
- 10:59Speaker 2: down and two of is gonna de root it, you
- 11:02Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, Like it may take us a
- 11:04Speaker 2: week to do that.
- 11:05Speaker 3: But just imagine they.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Got a hundred of us out there, two hundred of us,
- 11:09Speaker 2: like in the year's time, we're gonna run through that bitch,
- 11:13Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. And then they're just going, Okay, well,
- 11:15Speaker 2: since we got eighteen million acres of land, let's just
- 11:18Speaker 2: go to the next passion. Okay, we don't got no
- 11:20Speaker 2: more trees right now. Okay, Well, y'all gonna plant mustard greens.
- 11:25Speaker 2: You're gonna pick daisies, whatever we got, y'all. You know
- 11:28Speaker 2: what I'm saying. Whatever, y'all gonna do it, You know
- 11:33Speaker 2: what I'm saying. So that that in itself, you gotta
- 11:36Speaker 2: do that.
- 11:38Speaker 6: One of the things about learning is that becomes very
- 11:40Speaker 6: exciting and you can feel it in yourself when you
- 11:43Speaker 6: grab something. So I'm just envisioned as you're learning about
- 11:46Speaker 6: stops right. Yeah, get in the environment where it's like
- 11:50Speaker 6: this dude's really trying to learn, and are you trying
- 11:52Speaker 6: to teach at that point? Right? Like how do you
- 11:54Speaker 6: share like all this wealth of knowledge? Are people like
- 11:58Speaker 6: I ain't trying to hear that right now? Right?
- 12:00Speaker 2: So, the thing about prison is so dope, bro, Like
- 12:03Speaker 2: it's because some of the smartest people you'll ever meet.
- 12:06Speaker 3: As though, like I'm talking, I say smart.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Like I got all my A lot of my tattoos
- 12:12Speaker 2: are done in prison, but they're done with an actual
- 12:16Speaker 2: like done like a real tattoo gun that they made.
- 12:21Speaker 2: So your mind, the mindset of people in prison, are
- 12:26Speaker 2: they with it? You just got to present it to them.
- 12:29Speaker 2: So for me, I wasn't in the teaching phase yet.
- 12:33Speaker 3: I was learned. I was a sponge for it.
- 12:36Speaker 2: But because everybody, like everybody is reading something, like you
- 12:40Speaker 2: got dudes reading on metaphysics, you got dudes reading on Islam,
- 12:44Speaker 2: you got dudes reading on Christianity, you got dudes reading on.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Five percent Nation.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Like everybody trying to tap into something, you know what
- 12:51Speaker 2: I'm saying. So for me, I was tapping it. Not
- 12:54Speaker 2: real estate is something a lot of dudes in prison
- 12:56Speaker 2: tap into a lot of dudes into prison tapping a
- 13:00Speaker 2: real estate because it's what you see and rich Dad,
- 13:03Speaker 2: Poor Dad is like it runs through prison, like his
- 13:07Speaker 2: run through prison. So for me, when I was reading
- 13:10Speaker 2: stocks it was like way different. I was like by
- 13:12Speaker 2: myself and it was like what you're reading free, Like, man,
- 13:15Speaker 2: I'm reading the stock Mark, but it's just serious right here.
- 13:17Speaker 3: And I would but I would actually get the paper
- 13:19Speaker 3: and read it.
- 13:20Speaker 2: So I didn't really get into the teaching aspect of
- 13:23Speaker 2: it until I came home.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Like once I came home.
- 13:27Speaker 2: They were recepted to it because again not saying like
- 13:30Speaker 2: I was just John Gotti or something in the streets.
- 13:33Speaker 3: I was just a regular dude in the hood. Just
- 13:35Speaker 3: getting it out.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Everybody else get it out the hood, you know what
- 13:37Speaker 2: I'm saying. So, but my perspective was different, So we
- 13:42Speaker 2: learned from who we can relate to and who can
- 13:46Speaker 2: break the message down the best.
- 13:48Speaker 3: So for me, it was simple, bruh. We like to
- 13:53Speaker 3: wear design to clothes.
- 13:56Speaker 2: I love Louis Baton, I love Gucci, I love I
- 14:02Speaker 2: love Findy, like love Findy, and all my homies drank him.
- 14:07Speaker 2: They're all owned well, most of them are owned by
- 14:10Speaker 2: a business called LVMH, which the guy is like in
- 14:15Speaker 2: the top three richest people in the world. So if
- 14:19Speaker 2: Louis Baton, mot Hennessy on why a cell and they're
- 14:24Speaker 2: on Louis Vaton and they on Hennessy and they're on
- 14:28Speaker 2: Mowet and this is what we're buying in the club.
- 14:31Speaker 3: It feel different when you own it.
- 14:34Speaker 2: So I a still tell my partners, if we're gonna
- 14:36Speaker 2: go to the club, why not just own it? And
- 14:40Speaker 2: now we're flexing different, we're stunning different because now we
- 14:44Speaker 2: own Hennessy. So everybody you pop is your own business.
- 14:48Speaker 2: That was intriguing to you know, like damns like.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Real got them, now you got me.
- 14:54Speaker 2: And then it was with Thams like this company VFC,
- 15:00Speaker 2: like they own Dickies, they own Timberland, they own Vans.
- 15:05Speaker 2: So I would tell my homies like, Bro, we were
- 15:06Speaker 2: a teams every day. We were at Dickies every day. Bro,
- 15:09Speaker 2: let's own it. And they were like on my own.
- 15:12Speaker 2: I'm like, yo, Like, if you buy a stock in
- 15:13Speaker 2: the business, you are literally a shareholder.
- 15:16Speaker 3: You got a piece of the pie.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Bro. So they bought into it. And so once they
- 15:22Speaker 2: bought into that, the next thing.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Was, Yo, check this out. If you go to prison.
- 15:31Speaker 2: And you come home, you don't have no money. So
- 15:35Speaker 2: now you're scrambling again. You're taking the chances again. But
- 15:39Speaker 2: what if everything we hustled for we put a portion
- 15:42Speaker 2: of it in the stock market.
- 15:43Speaker 6: Because that was the initial purpose, right, let me help
- 15:46Speaker 6: let me money clean the money, clean the money.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Because we always looking for a way to clean money.
- 15:51Speaker 2: And they're looking for us to have a laundromat, or
- 15:54Speaker 2: they're looking for us to have a call wash or
- 15:55Speaker 2: a barber shop. They're not playing us to be small enough.
- 15:59Speaker 2: And I probably be explosed. Was in the game right
- 16:00Speaker 2: now you feel me like, yeah, I said, But for.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Me, it was if they don't think we're that smart.
- 16:10Speaker 2: We have the advantage, right, they're not expecting it even
- 16:14Speaker 2: when they great great situation when they when they kicked
- 16:19Speaker 2: my door in a twenty ten, my door got kicked in.
- 16:22Speaker 3: They ramshacked my house.
- 16:24Speaker 2: They even took my escalator, but they couldn't take it
- 16:26Speaker 2: because I still was paying a note on it. They
- 16:30Speaker 2: looked at all my bank accounts, but they never looked
- 16:32Speaker 2: at what I had invested.
- 16:34Speaker 3: That was never even an option. I thought it wasn't
- 16:37Speaker 3: even he not that smart. You feel what I'm saying.
- 16:40Speaker 2: So the initial goals to me, bro, this's how we
- 16:42Speaker 2: clean money. This is how we can you know, get
- 16:45Speaker 2: advantage in the game. That part resonated and also it
- 16:51Speaker 2: was like, okay, let's say we got because we run it.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Nobody runs through more money than the dough ball and
- 16:54Speaker 2: a strip of yo.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Nobody. Fact, fact, nobody, nobody.
- 16:59Speaker 4: Maybe a rapper, probably a rather athlete.
- 17:02Speaker 2: No, but see, he gotta get a check. Were talking
- 17:05Speaker 2: every day, hand in hand. He got to get a
- 17:07Speaker 2: check every week. We talking every day, hand in hand,
- 17:10Speaker 2: like you're not touching it like that, but he's oh
- 17:13Speaker 2: he blows it. Oh he blows the same principle even saying,
- 17:16Speaker 2: but it was because we touching money every day, because
- 17:20Speaker 2: we touching it every day all day like yo. Like
- 17:24Speaker 2: for me, it was nothing. I can easily star. I
- 17:26Speaker 2: was making about two thousand dollars a day.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Easy.
- 17:29Speaker 2: It's nothing for me to take. Okay, let me take
- 17:31Speaker 2: seve hundred dollars, put that in a stock market right quick,
- 17:33Speaker 2: like it's nothing. It's just it's just that quick. Now
- 17:36Speaker 2: it's even easier. So it's like, okay, let's say you
- 17:41Speaker 2: go do a ten year bid and you got you done,
- 17:45Speaker 2: accumulated twelve thirteen, fifteen thousand dollars before you got popped.
- 17:51Speaker 2: If you go do a ten year bid, and your
- 17:54Speaker 2: money in a stock market when you come home, depending
- 17:57Speaker 2: on how to stock performing, the market going averages nine
- 18:01Speaker 2: to ten percent, so your ten bands are your twenty
- 18:05Speaker 2: bands can easily be an extra ten thousand dollars over
- 18:07Speaker 2: a ten year times man. And you because you ain't
- 18:09Speaker 2: do nothing with it and you reinvested everything. Now you
- 18:12Speaker 2: ain't gotta come home and scramble.
- 18:15Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. You don't have to come
- 18:16Speaker 3: home and scramble no more. You you up. You you
- 18:19Speaker 3: literally beat the game.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Or if you gotta lay down for a long time
- 18:24Speaker 2: or you get killed.
- 18:26Speaker 3: You left your people something.
- 18:29Speaker 6: At the peak of it, how many how many people
- 18:32Speaker 6: did you have?
- 18:32Speaker 3: Everybody in my.
- 18:33Speaker 6: Hood, everybody the whole hood where you from?
- 18:35Speaker 4: What part?
- 18:36Speaker 2: I'm from mid City says, right across the track from
- 18:39Speaker 2: the seventeen Well, you know.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Everybody, see I'm right across the track from that, right
- 18:45Speaker 3: across your track from that.
- 18:46Speaker 2: So like my hood kind of like we like, oh,
- 18:50Speaker 2: we're from the seventeen too, you.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Know what, I know what I'm saying. That's that's two
- 18:54Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying.
- 18:55Speaker 2: But because everybody in that from that part, like we
- 18:58Speaker 2: went to school together, they came on the track, they
- 19:00Speaker 2: dealt with our people.
- 19:02Speaker 3: It was it was a good thing.
- 19:03Speaker 2: But then right across it on this side is like
- 19:06Speaker 2: the third ward.
- 19:07Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Yeah, so it was like it's complex, but if we understand.
- 19:12Speaker 3: It, you know what I'm saying.
- 19:13Speaker 2: But I was right across the track from right across
- 19:15Speaker 2: track from how they wrote. So like like everybody in
- 19:19Speaker 2: when I came home, everybody who I dealt with in
- 19:22Speaker 2: that circle, we was with it. It was with it,
- 19:25Speaker 2: and they're still with it. Dope that they're still with it.
- 19:28Speaker 6: So you changed the narrative for real.
- 19:29Speaker 3: That's what for me, that's what it was about. It
- 19:31Speaker 3: was about me.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Like one of my partners told me this, He said, Bro,
- 19:37Speaker 2: y'all probably blurred this out. He said, Bro, you a
- 19:39Speaker 2: squeat nigga in the street, nigga bout it? And I
- 19:42Speaker 2: was like what he was like, because you think different,
- 19:47Speaker 2: Like we would have never thought of that in our mind.
- 19:49Speaker 2: We like, Okay, how can we take this money go
- 19:51Speaker 2: get a business? And you're thinking about buying the whole
- 19:53Speaker 2: damn business like that's some next level ship.
- 19:56Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean you talk about that a lot. That,
- 19:58Speaker 6: the feeling of ownership, the power of ownership. What was
- 20:02Speaker 6: it like when you got to see your partners actually
- 20:04Speaker 6: have that feeling for themselves.
- 20:05Speaker 2: That was better than anything that was a euphoric because
- 20:09Speaker 2: I knew at that point we touched something that nobody
- 20:11Speaker 2: never taught us.
- 20:13Speaker 3: Nobody never taught us about investing.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Everybody teaches us how to blow money, work for it,
- 20:19Speaker 2: blow it, work for it. That's the way the system designed.
- 20:23Speaker 2: It's designed for us to make money and spend money.
- 20:25Speaker 2: That's why they that's why companies spend billions of dollars
- 20:28Speaker 2: on market, and it adds because that's why people spend
- 20:31Speaker 2: two million dollars to have the supermowl commercial for sixty seconds.
- 20:34Speaker 3: I need to be in your face.
- 20:35Speaker 2: It's the same reason why we listen to it some
- 20:37Speaker 2: on one time. I don't like it, but you listen
- 20:39Speaker 2: to it three full time on the radio.
- 20:40Speaker 3: You love it nothing, you know the words to it.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Same thing I'm.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Gonna put in your face enough, you're going to buy it.
- 20:47Speaker 2: And even with this, I learned that colors, like every
- 20:53Speaker 2: fast food place, if you think about it, what color
- 20:56Speaker 2: is their logo?
- 20:57Speaker 4: Right?
- 20:57Speaker 3: Red? Red, sick?
- 21:00Speaker 2: It makes you hungry. Red makes you hungry. That's this
- 21:03Speaker 2: whole psychological game. And we don't know about like red.
- 21:06Speaker 2: I studied that, like red is a color that makes
- 21:09Speaker 2: you say, man, I'm hungry. Think about them, like majority
- 21:13Speaker 2: of them are red. So I was just like, yo,
- 21:16Speaker 2: were just playing. We're just not playing this game to win,
- 21:19Speaker 2: like it's not in our favor. But I'm not mad
- 21:22Speaker 2: at the system though. You just got to find a
- 21:24Speaker 2: way to be a way to play the game. You
- 21:26Speaker 2: can't even beat it, you gotta find way to play it.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Playing the wrong game, you playing the wrong game. So
- 21:30Speaker 2: for me, when once my partners tapped into it, I
- 21:33Speaker 2: was like, oh yeah, we winning.
- 21:34Speaker 3: We're doing something. You know, we're doing something.
- 21:36Speaker 4: All right.
- 21:37Speaker 5: So in the next said we're gonna talk about how
- 21:38Speaker 5: to play the game. We're gonna bring up the d
- 21:41Speaker 5: on the stock market, all right, So now we're going
- 21:42Speaker 5: to talk about all right, so you you made the
- 21:44Speaker 5: transition from the street well prison to helping educating brothers
- 21:51Speaker 5: on the street corner, and then you were working. And
- 21:53Speaker 5: then but as you were working, you were still saving investing.
- 21:57Speaker 5: Then you made that journey to be in a full
- 21:59Speaker 5: time invest the entrepreneur educator. So all right, we're going
- 22:03Speaker 5: to talk about some some some some concepts as far
- 22:05Speaker 5: as so stocks. If anybody's not familiar, that's something that
- 22:09Speaker 5: is very near and dead in my heart because that
- 22:12Speaker 5: was like one of my first passions.
- 22:14Speaker 4: And like I did, I.
- 22:16Speaker 5: Was in love with the stock mark when I was
- 22:17Speaker 5: like eleven years old, Like every it was very I
- 22:20Speaker 5: look back on it now and it's very strange, but
- 22:22Speaker 5: it was like my favorite movies was like Wall Street
- 22:26Speaker 5: and like you know, Barbarians at the Gate, and I
- 22:29Speaker 5: wanted to be a corporate takeover and that was the
- 22:30Speaker 5: first career I wanted to do. When I was twelve
- 22:32Speaker 5: years old, people will be like, what do you want
- 22:33Speaker 5: to do with average kid is like, you know, basketball player,
- 22:35Speaker 5: firefight might want to be a corporate takeover. It was
- 22:41Speaker 5: just intriguing to me. It was just really intriguing to me.
- 22:43Speaker 5: I went to Wall Street. My dad took me to
- 22:44Speaker 5: Wall Street when I was a kid, and I just
- 22:47Speaker 5: I was always just intrigued by how fast it was
- 22:50Speaker 5: moving and.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Finance.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So it was just intriguing.
- 22:54Speaker 5: So so I say that to say, yeah, this, this
- 22:58Speaker 5: is something I definitely was looking forward to having this
- 22:59Speaker 5: kindversation because, like I said, real estate, everybody's in real estate,
- 23:03Speaker 5: and real estate is important. It's extremely important to own
- 23:07Speaker 5: the land and to owned buildings and to own stores.
- 23:09Speaker 5: But I think stock stocks don't really get enough light,
- 23:15Speaker 5: especially in our community, because they feel like it's something
- 23:17Speaker 5: that's too complicated over their heads, or it moves at
- 23:19Speaker 5: a slower pace than something even though real estate can
- 23:23Speaker 5: move in a slow pace too, But people are, like
- 23:25Speaker 5: we said off camera, they're fascinated with the quick flips,
- 23:29Speaker 5: you know what I mean. So it's like people if
- 23:31Speaker 5: they do get involved in investing trading, they want to
- 23:35Speaker 5: go like crypto, like they're saying with even.
- 23:40Speaker 6: Not that word again.
- 23:41Speaker 2: So also because it's not tangible, right that they don't
- 23:45Speaker 2: see the tangible.
- 23:46Speaker 4: As they don't they don't fully understand it. People still
- 23:48Speaker 4: don't fully understand it.
- 23:49Speaker 5: So all right, stock market investing, right, talk about what
- 23:53Speaker 5: is your theory? But from buying and holding and day trading,
- 23:59Speaker 5: because that's kind of like the two trains of thought
- 24:01Speaker 5: and investing. It's like day trading. Anybody's not familiar with
- 24:03Speaker 5: da trading. That's when you're actually buying a stock and
- 24:05Speaker 5: you're trading it in today sometimes like within a couple
- 24:08Speaker 5: of minutes, and you're getting your profits. Whereas buying hole
- 24:12Speaker 5: there's more you're buying and you're you're holding long term.
- 24:15Speaker 5: That long term could be six months, a year, ten years,
- 24:17Speaker 5: twenty five years, but you're not looking to make quick decisions.
- 24:21Speaker 5: So what's your theory between buying long term and day trading?
- 24:28Speaker 3: Alright? So with buying long term, that's what.
- 24:32Speaker 2: The wealth is at because when you buy a long
- 24:37Speaker 2: term you're not affected by the short term plivities that.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Go on in the market, and you can't control that.
- 24:46Speaker 2: So because I can't control that, I want to say
- 24:52Speaker 2: I'm willing to wait that out right, Whereas with day trading,
- 24:59Speaker 2: it's a high.
- 25:01Speaker 3: It's like, yo, this just went.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Up some about to get this bread and I'm gonna
- 25:09Speaker 2: get out. But what people don't tell you about day
- 25:13Speaker 2: tree and I have nothing against because the money in it,
- 25:15Speaker 2: but those capital gains taxes that come with it gonna
- 25:19Speaker 2: eat away.
- 25:19Speaker 3: At your profit.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Right with stock marked with the way that I invest,
- 25:26Speaker 2: my goal is.
- 25:27Speaker 3: To just hold it at least for a year and
- 25:29Speaker 3: a day.
- 25:29Speaker 4: So all right, let's talk about that.
- 25:31Speaker 5: So capital gains for most people, it's like fifteen person.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Nah, twenty twenty nine, twenty eight.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Short term capital gains, oh yeah, you go, you're gonna
- 25:41Speaker 2: go with eighteen.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Yeah, because long term capital gain is fifteen percent, so yeah,
- 25:45Speaker 5: so short term capital gains, yeah, it's higher. So capital
- 25:48Speaker 5: gains is when you sell a stock, you gotta pay
- 25:50Speaker 5: taxes on that. And I ask you said, and the
- 25:54Speaker 5: short term capital gains is more than long term capital gains,
- 25:58Speaker 5: which is an incentive to hold it in ang term
- 26:00Speaker 5: capital game started a year, right.
- 26:01Speaker 6: All right, So if I got I bought a stock
- 26:03Speaker 6: one hundred dollars, I made one hundred and fifty. I'm
- 26:05Speaker 6: paying a tax on the fifty.
- 26:06Speaker 3: You're gonna pay a tax on a fifty.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Now, if you hold it for a year and a day,
- 26:10Speaker 2: you're only gonna pay about twelve percent.
- 26:13Speaker 3: If you hold it for six months, you'll pay about
- 26:15Speaker 3: twenty two.
- 26:17Speaker 2: So the goal is just and so the goal in
- 26:20Speaker 2: building wealth, and it's simply this. It's not about how
- 26:23Speaker 2: much money you make, it's about how much you keep.
- 26:26Speaker 4: That's the fact.
- 26:27Speaker 2: So for me, I want to keep as much as
- 26:30Speaker 2: I can. And so if I got to hold it
- 26:33Speaker 2: for a year and a day, I'm cool with that.
- 26:36Speaker 2: I'm cool with it because I've gained equity in it.
- 26:39Speaker 2: And if they're paying dividends, I don't got some. I
- 26:40Speaker 2: don't got full quarters with the dividends, and I made
- 26:44Speaker 2: my bread.
- 26:45Speaker 3: I'm good. And see that's the part of like trading
- 26:48Speaker 3: that people don't talk about.
- 26:50Speaker 6: Right.
- 26:50Speaker 4: It's like you said, it's not sexy.
- 26:51Speaker 5: It ain't sexy, and they want they want short term
- 26:55Speaker 5: gratification without you know, being in it for the long haul.
- 26:59Speaker 4: Right.
- 27:00Speaker 5: And the thing about it is that nothing happens overnight nothing,
- 27:04Speaker 5: and you don't. You don't build wealth overnight as well,
- 27:07Speaker 5: And it's important. I always tell my climate financial advisor.
- 27:10Speaker 5: I tell my clients whole time, you have to you
- 27:12Speaker 5: have to diversify, like you can't put all your eggs
- 27:14Speaker 5: in any one basket. Right, you got diversified, so you
- 27:16Speaker 5: might have real estate, but it doesn't. It's not healthy
- 27:20Speaker 5: to just put every dollar that you have into me now, right,
- 27:23Speaker 5: it does. It's common sense for a lot of different reasons.
- 27:26Speaker 5: But stocks is a key wealth building tool and it
- 27:30Speaker 5: should definitely be part of somebody. Most people are invested
- 27:33Speaker 5: in stock market without them even knowing it because of
- 27:34Speaker 5: the four one K plan.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Right.
- 27:37Speaker 5: So dividends, right, because this is something that we haven't
- 27:40Speaker 5: covered and a lot of people have heard of dividends,
- 27:42Speaker 5: but they don't fully understand what a dividend is.
- 27:44Speaker 6: So what is a dividend? You said, that's one of
- 27:46Speaker 6: the strategies you use.
- 27:49Speaker 3: So it happens.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Is dividends are a portion of the profit that companies
- 27:54Speaker 2: pay to people who are invested in a business.
- 27:57Speaker 3: Not the revenue, but the profit.
- 27:59Speaker 2: So if I have a business that brings in ten
- 28:02Speaker 2: thousand dollars a month and I profit five thousand dollars
- 28:07Speaker 2: a month. Then out of that five thousand dollars, I'll
- 28:11Speaker 2: take a percentage of that, which is called the dividend yield,
- 28:14Speaker 2: and I'll pay it to my investors as a part
- 28:18Speaker 2: of saying hey, thank you for investing in my business.
- 28:21Speaker 6: Is it paid equally or obviously depending on how many
- 28:24Speaker 6: shares you have, you get more.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Now.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Yeah, well, the dividend is the same. So if I
- 28:29Speaker 2: pay fifty cent a ship, everybody, which is two dollars
- 28:31Speaker 2: a year, everybody gets that depending on how much you have.
- 28:36Speaker 3: If you got five, I have ten, you have fifteen,
- 28:39Speaker 3: and we will all get a different amount.
- 28:40Speaker 2: But the underlying asset value is the same.
- 28:44Speaker 5: So what are what are what are some top companies
- 28:46Speaker 5: as far as dividends these days?
- 28:47Speaker 4: What are they at?
- 28:49Speaker 2: And T pays seven six percent? That's major now, so
- 28:57Speaker 2: this is a dupe part. So we talk about real
- 28:59Speaker 2: estate right, the real estate aspect of the stock market,
- 29:04Speaker 2: which is called real estate investment trust, which is a
- 29:08Speaker 2: rep which is saying I can own Walmart as a business,
- 29:14Speaker 2: and I can own the people who Walmart pay rent
- 29:17Speaker 2: to because they don't own the building, they just own
- 29:21Speaker 2: the name. Like Amazon, has a warehouse. I can own Amazon,
- 29:28Speaker 2: and I can also own the warehouse. Who pay who
- 29:32Speaker 2: Amazon pays the rent to rates? Pay higher dividends. We
- 29:37Speaker 2: talking twelve percent, nine percent, seven percent, So individual stocks
- 29:44Speaker 2: at and T, Macy's, Century Li. Now that's a bad business,
- 29:53Speaker 2: but they pay a high dividend. That's what's called a
- 29:56Speaker 2: dividend trap. We're not going to get into that.
- 29:58Speaker 6: How they disperse quarter how this person.
- 30:00Speaker 3: So every business is different.
- 30:02Speaker 2: So with a lot of the ates they come out,
- 30:06Speaker 2: some of them pay monthly and some Rember I was
- 30:07Speaker 2: telling you that I have businesses. One of my businesses
- 30:11Speaker 2: is Apple Reality. They own one hundred and twenty eight
- 30:14Speaker 2: Chatons and the Hilton's and two hundred and something Marriotts.
- 30:21Speaker 3: They're not going out of business in his armes Zoom,
- 30:24Speaker 3: but they pay me, I.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Think at a nine percent rate on their rates, and
- 30:27Speaker 2: they pay that monthly.
- 30:29Speaker 3: So every month they're paying me.
- 30:31Speaker 4: So that that's nine percent on the money that you
- 30:33Speaker 4: have invested.
- 30:33Speaker 2: No, that's nine percent of the stock price. Okay, right,
- 30:36Speaker 2: So that's all a dividend yield is. So a dividend
- 30:39Speaker 2: yield is this If the stock price is one hundred
- 30:42Speaker 2: dollars and a dividend yield is five percent, then your
- 30:45Speaker 2: dividend is five percent of that one hundred dollars.
- 30:48Speaker 3: That's what you're getting paid. OK. That makes sense.
- 30:51Speaker 4: It's passive, superpass passive.
- 30:54Speaker 5: But you do have to have large amount for it
- 30:56Speaker 5: to This is true, But you were saying that you
- 31:00Speaker 5: have to start looking at it like, okay, just to
- 31:03Speaker 5: pay my cell phone bill?
- 31:04Speaker 3: What's your freedom? Part?
- 31:06Speaker 6: You talk about AT and T, but you got tore
- 31:07Speaker 6: at and So.
- 31:08Speaker 2: What happened to me was I started asking myself how
- 31:12Speaker 2: do I buy back my freedom?
- 31:15Speaker 3: Right? Like, how do I buy it back? Right?
- 31:18Speaker 2: Because it's not given to you, just like you know
- 31:21Speaker 2: shadow slavery, Like I'm not going to give it to you.
- 31:23Speaker 2: You gotta buy it back, you gotta fight for it.
- 31:26Speaker 2: So I was like, how do I buy back my
- 31:28Speaker 2: freedom with the stock market?
- 31:31Speaker 3: Because you can't save to investigate it back?
- 31:34Speaker 6: Right.
- 31:34Speaker 2: We know that you can't work a bunch of hours
- 31:36Speaker 2: to get it back. So the next best thing for
- 31:39Speaker 2: me was dividends. So I was like, Okay, what do
- 31:45Speaker 2: I use every day? My phone bill? AT and T
- 31:51Speaker 2: and I have Apple product. So because AT and T
- 31:55Speaker 2: pays a five percent six percent dividend year. I was like, okay,
- 31:59Speaker 2: I need this this many shares of this business.
- 32:04Speaker 3: To pay off my phone bill every four.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Months because AT and T pays quarterly, which is every
- 32:13Speaker 2: three months, Disney pays semi annually, which is twice a year,
- 32:18Speaker 2: and then you have some businesses that pay every month. Right,
- 32:22Speaker 2: So I was like, Okay, if I can get AT
- 32:24Speaker 2: and T to pay my phone bill through their dividends
- 32:30Speaker 2: full times a year, then I have essentially bought back
- 32:35Speaker 2: my freedom because I no longer have to work to
- 32:37Speaker 2: pay for that phone bill.
- 32:38Speaker 3: AT and T paying for me. And so you can
- 32:42Speaker 3: do that with your If you're in.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Georgia, you can use Southern Company, which is another great
- 32:48Speaker 2: dividend business. How much is your phone bill and your
- 32:51Speaker 2: light bill eighty one hundred dollars they pay like three
- 32:56Speaker 2: four percent dividend. Figure out how much the diffiden than
- 33:00Speaker 2: is per quarter, how many shares your need of that business,
- 33:05Speaker 2: and then let that.
- 33:06Speaker 3: Pay your light build.
- 33:07Speaker 2: So if you can give your dividends from a business
- 33:09Speaker 2: to pay your light build and your phone bill, you've
- 33:11Speaker 2: bought back some of your freedom because now you can
- 33:14Speaker 2: take that money and invest it and do something else
- 33:17Speaker 2: with it.
- 33:18Speaker 3: That's optimizing your money. The money is just a tool.
- 33:22Speaker 3: We know that much.
- 33:23Speaker 2: So if we can use the tool to do that's
- 33:25Speaker 2: supposed to do, then we get maximum value for it.
- 33:29Speaker 5: And that's so once you fully understand investing, you start
- 33:32Speaker 5: to understand that it's like Spanish. Right, So I don't know,
- 33:37Speaker 5: I mean, spend people in New Orleans, but they got
- 33:39Speaker 5: a few half like seventy percent of New York is spanding.
- 33:43Speaker 5: Maybe not, Yeah, New York spent a lot. So I say,
- 33:48Speaker 5: I have to say, when you're around Spanish enough, you
- 33:51Speaker 5: start to understand it a little bit better.
- 33:53Speaker 4: You might not be able to speak it, but you
- 33:54Speaker 4: can kind of have a general understanding. Right.
- 33:57Speaker 5: The same thing with investing. When you're around the language
- 34:00Speaker 5: of investing, it starts to make sense and you realize
- 34:03Speaker 5: that they're all kind of similar. It's just like actually
- 34:07Speaker 5: when you learn foreign languages, like Spanish is similar to French.
- 34:11Speaker 5: They all come.
- 34:12Speaker 6: From like a Spanish Portuguese.
- 34:13Speaker 4: Yeah, they're all.
- 34:14Speaker 5: Kind of similar. I forget where they actually the route
- 34:16Speaker 5: came from. But long story short of it is that
- 34:20Speaker 5: what you just explained was the same theory that dj
- 34:23Speaker 5: MVY explained to us when he says that he doesn't
- 34:25Speaker 5: buy any liability until he has an asset to pay for.
- 34:28Speaker 5: His thing is real estate, so he buys a home
- 34:30Speaker 5: and now he has a home to actually pay rental
- 34:36Speaker 5: for his Lamborghini ORF like that, Like I'm saying, so
- 34:39Speaker 5: you just bring it down a small level.
- 34:41Speaker 6: But because I mean, and that's key though, right if
- 34:43Speaker 6: you break it out a small level, like.
- 34:44Speaker 4: Well, yeah, well and then and then also people have
- 34:46Speaker 4: to understand too.
- 34:47Speaker 5: Is that so people might say, okay, well I got
- 34:49Speaker 5: to put two thousand dollars into a stock to get
- 34:52Speaker 5: one hundred dollars dividend, it's not worth it. But the
- 34:55Speaker 5: thing about it is that it's not like you're paying
- 34:58Speaker 5: for something. You're investing so that two thousands gonna grow
- 35:00Speaker 5: over the course of time while you're getting your diffidends.
- 35:03Speaker 5: So it's not like you just putting your money into
- 35:06Speaker 5: never ever Land. It's actually going to an investment that
- 35:08Speaker 5: will probably gain value over the court of time. But
- 35:10Speaker 5: in the meantime, you're actually gaining income that you can
- 35:14Speaker 5: use via the dividend, and now you can actually use
- 35:17Speaker 5: that to support your life, because, like you said, you
- 35:19Speaker 5: gotta find a way to actually make money while you're sleep.
- 35:24Speaker 5: That's what Warren Buffet said, right said it said, if
- 35:26Speaker 5: you don't make money while you're sleeping, work, So by
- 35:30Speaker 5: doing that, now you're actually Okay. Now I can, like
- 35:33Speaker 5: you said, you can focus on Okay, now I did that.
- 35:35Speaker 5: Now I gotta do something to pay all right, to
- 35:37Speaker 5: pay my mortgage, and I gotta do something to pay
- 35:39Speaker 5: my card bill. And then before you know it, you're
- 35:42Speaker 5: not actually paying anything yourself. It's all being paid for you,
- 35:45Speaker 5: which leaves you more money because that two hundred dep
- 35:49Speaker 5: now you can actually reinvest and do other things and
- 35:52Speaker 5: just kind of like a domino fest.
- 35:53Speaker 6: Like Lord said, it was like, yo, I treat money
- 35:55Speaker 6: like little soldiers. They have to go work.
- 35:57Speaker 3: Listen.
- 35:58Speaker 2: But also also you're forgetting something that's major, the ownership.
- 36:05Speaker 3: M Ye you feel me.
- 36:07Speaker 2: So while your money is working for you through the dividends,
- 36:11Speaker 2: your ownership your equity is also increasing. Yeah, so that's
- 36:16Speaker 2: how you like you leverage the game with that.
- 36:19Speaker 5: And that's something that people don't understand either. It's like
- 36:21Speaker 5: people it's like, well, everybody's not an entrepreneur. I don't
- 36:24Speaker 5: want to own a business. There's a lot that comes
- 36:26Speaker 5: from owning a business. But there's more than one way
- 36:28Speaker 5: to own a business. If you buy a stock, you're
- 36:30Speaker 5: an owner in that company. That's one that's probably the
- 36:34Speaker 5: easiest way to own a business. Now you're not going
- 36:37Speaker 5: to be the majority owner, but it doesn't matter.
- 36:41Speaker 6: It doesn't you're still an owner.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Warren Buffett owns six percent of Coca Cola, right, so
- 36:50Speaker 2: he's still not a majority owner, but he still has
- 36:54Speaker 2: say sol And this is the one thing about the
- 36:57Speaker 2: stock market that I love. I can vote on every
- 37:02Speaker 2: business that I own, and they have to acknowledge me,
- 37:06Speaker 2: like I literally bought three shares of Breakshot have the
- 37:08Speaker 2: way b Let's make sure I say that be what's.
- 37:11Speaker 4: What's the aig something go up to one.
- 37:15Speaker 3: Hundred, three hundred and some thousand.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Please, there's a difference. It's a big difference. So let
- 37:19Speaker 2: me say, because I don't nobody to be like.
- 37:21Speaker 3: Man, you gotta you ain't got no man. I heard that.
- 37:26Speaker 2: So I literally bought three shares of Berkshaw b.
- 37:31Speaker 4: Which is which is Warren Buffer's company.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Yes, I bought my daughter. That's another thing.
- 37:35Speaker 2: So at three years old, my daughter has five thousand
- 37:38Speaker 2: dollars invested in the stock.
- 37:39Speaker 4: I want to talk about that.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Yeah, finished, But I bought uh three shares of berkship
- 37:46Speaker 2: Be so I could go.
- 37:47Speaker 3: To the Warren Buffett Annual meeting and I had right.
- 37:52Speaker 2: To vote on anything in Omaha. Yeah, I went to
- 37:56Speaker 2: NIPS That's when everything happened. But I'm going next year
- 37:59Speaker 2: for show for and the only way you can go
- 38:00Speaker 2: is if you own at least one share, right. So
- 38:04Speaker 2: I was like, okay, cool, and you actually get to.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Talk to this man.
- 38:07Speaker 5: So I'm glad you said that about your daughter because
- 38:09Speaker 5: speaking of NIP. Actually, when we I posted about NIP,
- 38:13Speaker 5: you commented on that post for sure about and you
- 38:16Speaker 5: was talking about a custodian on account for your daughter.
- 38:19Speaker 5: So I had put a post up that like, if
- 38:21Speaker 5: you celebrate Christmas or for kids' birthdays, a suggestion is
- 38:25Speaker 5: that you know, if you're going to spend two hundred
- 38:27Speaker 5: dollars on gifts, maybe spend one hundred dollars on the
- 38:29Speaker 5: gifts and one hundred dollars on an investment. Right, And
- 38:31Speaker 5: he was like, well, how do I do that?
- 38:33Speaker 3: So I walk you through that.
- 38:35Speaker 4: Yeah, it exactly.
- 38:37Speaker 2: So it's basically I don't buy my daughter toys at all.
- 38:43Speaker 2: I told her mom, and I'm like, listen, I'll buy clothes,
- 38:46Speaker 2: I'll buy food, I'll buy necessities.
- 38:50Speaker 3: Ernest, what's up.

- 41:39Speaker 2: Everything else on byastocks. So just walking. It's called a
- 41:44Speaker 2: ugmme a cone. It's a custolial com I use td amemoratory.
- 41:48Speaker 2: And all you're doing is just like opening up a
- 41:50Speaker 2: bank account and you'll just add your kid to it.
- 41:54Speaker 2: And what happens is you have actual control of the
- 41:59Speaker 2: cone until the kid is eighteen. Once the kid makes eighteen,
- 42:05Speaker 2: then they have control. My thing is simple, and so
- 42:09Speaker 2: this is how we shift the dynamics. Like this ownership
- 42:13Speaker 2: stuff is real powerful to me. My daughters three and
- 42:18Speaker 2: I invest money for her monthly weekly Right right now,
- 42:23Speaker 2: my daughter at three can tell you what assets and
- 42:24Speaker 2: liabilities are. These is a conversation that we have right
- 42:28Speaker 2: she knows, I say, what dividends come from.
- 42:30Speaker 3: She'll say, dividends come from Shell. She'll say that.
- 42:33Speaker 2: By the time she's eighteen, she will already be six
- 42:38Speaker 2: figures her own network. That's powerful. That's a whole nother dynamic.
- 42:45Speaker 2: We've put her in position to have privileged opportunities.
- 42:50Speaker 6: Right.
- 42:51Speaker 2: Also, we've now established to her the importance of ownership. Right,
- 43:00Speaker 2: So what happened with us when we was kids? I
- 43:01Speaker 2: don't know about y'all. When I was kids, money was
- 43:03Speaker 2: always scarce, Like we ain't going no money for that.
- 43:06Speaker 2: We got bills, right, you know? But now at three,
- 43:12Speaker 2: she can talk to me about Disney stuff, you know
- 43:15Speaker 2: what I'm saying.
- 43:16Speaker 3: So for me, that's what I do.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Everything we do right now, her account, I think she
- 43:20Speaker 2: had like fifty five hundred because I've been buying these
- 43:22Speaker 2: weed stocks since they've been on sale, and I bought
- 43:24Speaker 2: some for her.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Can it be growth?
- 43:27Speaker 6: What was the name of the account at the bank,
- 43:30Speaker 6: the type of account.
- 43:30Speaker 2: It's called a custodio account, But when you look it
- 43:33Speaker 2: up on the TD Amelitrade, it's goning to be called U.
- 43:35Speaker 3: G and me.
- 43:36Speaker 6: Can it go through? I know you said TD Melitrade,
- 43:38Speaker 6: but through? Is it all but through other banks as well.
- 43:40Speaker 2: Well, I went through you can go through Fidelity Charles Swab.
- 43:45Speaker 4: Most of them have yeah, and have accounts.
- 43:49Speaker 5: They have five twenty nine, which is a college savings
- 43:51Speaker 5: plan a couple of different ways.
- 43:52Speaker 2: I don't like the five twenty non why not because
- 43:54Speaker 2: it's boxed in, it's Boxton just you have to use vocal.
- 43:58Speaker 5: Well they actually change with the new tax law and
- 44:01Speaker 5: now you can any form of education.
- 44:03Speaker 4: Okay, it's yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you get penalized.
- 44:06Speaker 2: And so with the with the custodia account she used
- 44:10Speaker 2: for whatever she wants at eighteen.
- 44:12Speaker 3: So that's why it's good for you. Now you can
- 44:14Speaker 3: build that conversation.
- 44:16Speaker 2: That's why it's good for us to learn how to invest,
- 44:18Speaker 2: because our kids are going to do what they see
- 44:21Speaker 2: us doing. That's just a natural fact. We all are
- 44:24Speaker 2: creatures of our environment.
- 44:26Speaker 3: It is what it is.
- 44:27Speaker 2: So we start having these conversations with them at a
- 44:29Speaker 2: young age. Like her favorite book right now is a
- 44:32Speaker 2: book called The Evolution of Money. Right, She'd be like that,
- 44:35Speaker 2: let's read the Evolution of Money, right and.
- 44:38Speaker 3: Three you know what I'm trying to read, yeah, yeah,
- 44:41Speaker 3: trying to figure out we walked.
- 44:43Speaker 6: Through this as a parent, I'm in educator. My son
- 44:49Speaker 6: is thest five and just learn how to read what.
- 44:52Speaker 2: I mean, she reads, she she I'll say this, she
- 44:55Speaker 2: identifies words, all right, Okay, so I'm not gonna say
- 44:58Speaker 2: like she likes that's fair.
- 44:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna say like she on some dougie she
- 45:03Speaker 3: identifies words.
- 45:04Speaker 5: Now, But that's e stremely be powerful, like you said,
- 45:06Speaker 5: because the parents have to leave it by example. If
- 45:09Speaker 5: you don't have an example for your kids, then they're
- 45:11Speaker 5: going to get the example just from pop culture music,
- 45:14Speaker 5: the world streams, you know what I mean. So it's
- 45:17Speaker 5: extremely important. And like I said, it's just seeing different
- 45:21Speaker 5: people in different conversations and it's like that's one of
- 45:25Speaker 5: the cool things about this podcast. It's like we have
- 45:28Speaker 5: these conversations and if it's like we could be like
- 45:33Speaker 5: people on the basketball court or you know what I mean, like,
- 45:35Speaker 5: but we're actually talking about things that are really important,
- 45:38Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying.
- 45:39Speaker 4: So it's like a.
- 45:40Speaker 5: Cool feel because it's not stuck up, it's not fake,
- 45:43Speaker 5: it's not phony, it's natural and a lot of times
- 45:45Speaker 5: until people feel like they have to like dumb themselves
- 45:48Speaker 5: down to be accepted or you can't. You gotta watch
- 45:52Speaker 5: how you speak because you don't want to sound too intelligent.
- 45:56Speaker 5: These things is real. I'm glad that that. I think
- 46:00Speaker 5: that the tide is starting to turn on.
- 46:02Speaker 4: That it is.
- 46:04Speaker 2: I actually like I love the the temperature that's going
- 46:08Speaker 2: on right now, just.
- 46:10Speaker 3: With even with you all. You know, I'm like, bro,
- 46:12Speaker 3: like y'all, y'all shifting the culture with this.
- 46:15Speaker 2: I appreciate it, you know what I'm saying, because there
- 46:18Speaker 2: are a lot of podcasts out there right everybody. Everybody
- 46:21Speaker 2: has something to say, right, Everybody has something to say,
- 46:26Speaker 2: and they want to say it in their own unique way.
- 46:30Speaker 3: What I love about y'all have is however.
- 46:33Speaker 2: You're gonna come speak speak it fact you feel what
- 46:37Speaker 2: I'm saying Like, there is no Hey, we can't like
- 46:40Speaker 2: whatever you want to speak about, but it's all about
- 46:44Speaker 2: the improvement of the culture. As far as you know
- 46:47Speaker 2: financial literacy, and I didn't know you was in the finance.
- 46:50Speaker 6: Bro, so that's a whole nother life next right to
- 46:53Speaker 6: the ownership ownership right, nobody's telling us make sure y'all
- 46:57Speaker 6: cover this, yo. We're gonna put the cameras werena speaking,
- 47:02Speaker 6: right it's problem, man.
- 47:03Speaker 3: I remember you posted something.
- 47:05Speaker 2: You said something about ownership, something to be posted like recently.
- 47:09Speaker 3: And I love when you post certain stuff because I
- 47:13Speaker 3: can come in there and just go harder.
- 47:15Speaker 2: Right, I'll be like, come on, man with it. So,
- 47:18Speaker 2: and somebody complained about you talk. It was about taxes,
- 47:24Speaker 2: and I said, the problem is that because somebody said,
- 47:28Speaker 2: why don't they teach the people? Yeah, And so I
- 47:33Speaker 2: was like, yo, why would they teach us this in school?
- 47:38Speaker 2: It's not that they should teach us. Why would they?
- 47:41Speaker 5: Right?
- 47:43Speaker 3: So this is a dope analogy that I always use.
- 47:47Speaker 2: So we know that the lion is at the top
- 47:50Speaker 2: of the food chain, right, So he's not the king
- 47:53Speaker 2: of the jungle, like we feel like that's some bullshit,
- 47:55Speaker 2: right so.
- 47:56Speaker 3: Faris I'm not gonna say that ship.
- 47:58Speaker 2: But he's at the top of the food chain. The
- 48:02Speaker 2: lion cannot tell the zebra, the impiler, or the water
- 48:08Speaker 2: buffalo how.
- 48:09Speaker 3: To get away. He can't.
- 48:12Speaker 2: If I tell you how to get away? What do
- 48:15Speaker 2: I eat? What do I eat? Either I become a
- 48:19Speaker 2: vegetarian or.
- 48:20Speaker 3: I eat my own kind?
- 48:23Speaker 2: Right, So he can't and if he did, they would
- 48:27Speaker 2: tell one another how to get away. Same thing with
- 48:31Speaker 2: this the upper echelon or the financial predators.
- 48:37Speaker 3: We are the financial prey.
- 48:40Speaker 2: I can't teach you how to get away, but if
- 48:42Speaker 2: you learn, I can't stop you.
- 48:46Speaker 3: I can't stop you.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Wealthy people don't make wealthy people rich. Poor people do, right,
- 48:53Speaker 2: because we have no relationship with money.
- 48:56Speaker 3: So I can't teach you how to get away. Then
- 48:58Speaker 3: what I'm gonna do.
- 48:59Speaker 2: But I'm gonna teach my kids how to be predators.
- 49:01Speaker 2: And I'm teaching my daughter how to be a predator,
- 49:03Speaker 2: not on people, but just how to have ownership.
- 49:06Speaker 3: They can't teach you that in school.
- 49:08Speaker 4: What they Yeah, it's like, yeah, that's what.
- 49:11Speaker 5: That's what the five percenters say, like eighty five percent
- 49:14Speaker 5: by ten percent, which is like the bloodsuckers are the
- 49:16Speaker 5: poor the five percent of the poor, right is teachers teach,
- 49:20Speaker 5: but we're not poor. But facts were gonna liberate that.
- 49:26Speaker 5: We're gonna take the poor part out, liberate that because
- 49:28Speaker 5: we're gonna be even pay the full like that, you know,
- 49:32Speaker 5: because yeah, we're gonna We're gonna liberate the people from
- 49:34Speaker 5: the bloodsuckers of the.
- 49:35Speaker 6: Poor here for the facts.
- 49:37Speaker 3: Appreciate that.
- 49:38Speaker 6: Can we just talk about investing in ETFs. Let's talk
- 49:40Speaker 6: about so explain. Can you explain what the ETF is
- 49:43Speaker 6: and then how to be invested.
- 49:45Speaker 3: So ETF is an exchange traded fund, So.
- 49:48Speaker 2: It's basically this is this is so all my people
- 49:51Speaker 2: tell me, like, I just had the dopest analogies. Bro,
- 49:53Speaker 2: Like I come up with them because I love to
- 49:54Speaker 2: relate to people. Right, So ETF is like saying this
- 49:57Speaker 2: without even getting technical. Let's say you're going walm Right,
- 50:01Speaker 2: you go on Walmart and you don't know what you
- 50:04Speaker 2: want to buy, so you buy the whole store.
- 50:07Speaker 3: That's an index fund.
- 50:09Speaker 2: Let's say you go to Walmart and you want to
- 50:11Speaker 2: buy a specific kind of pop tarts, right, So you
- 50:15Speaker 2: go to the pop tart oil and you see so
- 50:17Speaker 2: many flavors of pop tarts.
- 50:19Speaker 3: You're like, you know what, I just want this whole
- 50:20Speaker 3: out of pop tarts. So you buy the whole out
- 50:23Speaker 3: of pop tarts. That's the ETF. Doesn't make sense. So
- 50:27Speaker 3: what the ETF is.
- 50:28Speaker 2: It's a group of businesses that operate the same or
- 50:31Speaker 2: sell similar products. Example, you want to invest in marijuana,
- 50:35Speaker 2: but you don't know which marijuana stock to buy. You
- 50:38Speaker 2: buy either a marijuana ETF called YOLO or you buy
- 50:42Speaker 2: MJ And now at this point you have.
- 50:43Speaker 6: All the marijuana stocks, they're all inside that's the ETFTCHA.
- 50:47Speaker 2: A trick to that is this, you can buy ETF
- 50:51Speaker 2: and because they've already done the homework, because they're gonna
- 50:53Speaker 2: have the best performance stocks in the ETF. At that point,
- 50:56Speaker 2: you can see you can go to what's called ETF dB,
- 50:59Speaker 2: which ETF database.
- 51:00Speaker 3: I'm giving y'all some game right quick. Like, you go to.
- 51:03Speaker 2: ETF database, you put that ETF in and they'll tell
- 51:06Speaker 2: you every ETF that's in the ETF, and then they'll
- 51:10Speaker 2: tell you how much of a percentage of that ETF
- 51:13Speaker 2: is holding that business. So it'll say this ETF has
- 51:18Speaker 2: fifteen percent of cannopy growth. That mean for every dollar
- 51:21Speaker 2: you put enough, fifteen percent of that is going to
- 51:23Speaker 2: cannopy growth. It may have ten percent of uror cannabis.
- 51:26Speaker 2: They may have five percent of chromes. So you can
- 51:29Speaker 2: literally say, Okay, I don't want do the homework. I
- 51:31Speaker 2: want to be lazy. I'll go to the ETF, see
- 51:33Speaker 2: what's one they hold, and just pick the top companies
- 51:35Speaker 2: in the ETF. And at that point you went Now
- 51:38Speaker 2: you don't know the value of it. That's that's what
- 51:40Speaker 2: I teach people about value, how to value it. But
- 51:42Speaker 2: if you just want to be a lazy investor, you
- 51:44Speaker 2: can all you can just do that because ETF is
- 51:46Speaker 2: gonna have the top performing businesses in that sector inside
- 51:49Speaker 2: the ETF and you.
- 51:50Speaker 4: Just picked that and indexed funds.
- 51:53Speaker 2: So index funds would be you buying a whole market.
- 51:56Speaker 2: Now they are broken down different ways. So you can
- 52:00Speaker 2: buy the doll Jones, you can buy the S and
- 52:04Speaker 2: P five hundred, these are index.
- 52:06Speaker 6: And as well.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Yeah, you can buy a Nastak, you can buy the
- 52:09Speaker 2: rust of two thousand, which are the full majors.
- 52:12Speaker 3: Then you can break it.
- 52:14Speaker 2: Down and say, okay, I just want to get a
- 52:16Speaker 2: large cap ETF.
- 52:17Speaker 3: So that's all.
- 52:19Speaker 2: Businesses that have one billion, two billion are better, right,
- 52:25Speaker 2: so every business in here is going to be two
- 52:26Speaker 2: billion dollars or better ten billion. I'm sorry, ten billion
- 52:29Speaker 2: are better. Then you can buy a mid cap, which
- 52:33Speaker 2: businesses that stop at two billion. And then you can
- 52:35Speaker 2: buy a small cap, which is businesses under two billion,
- 52:39Speaker 2: two billion dollars worth under two billion dollars market cap.
- 52:41Speaker 5: Yeah, the market cap, so market capitalization, that's kind of
- 52:45Speaker 5: how they categorize stop. Yeah, And I always like the
- 52:49Speaker 5: analogy that I use. It's like you have giant cap,
- 52:52Speaker 5: large cap, those who are like, you know, giant.
- 52:55Speaker 3: Companies one hundred billions are better. Yeah.
- 52:57Speaker 5: Then you have you know, mid cap. Then you have
- 53:00Speaker 5: a small cap, and you have micro cap. So the
- 53:02Speaker 5: thing is that usually, and correct me if I'm wrong,
- 53:06Speaker 5: the larger to cap, the less volatile. Like it's almost
- 53:09Speaker 5: impossible for Apple to just fall apart overnight. It's they're
- 53:12Speaker 5: also not going to quad duple over night either, where
- 53:14Speaker 5: a smaller company, good news can send their stocks skyrocketing,
- 53:18Speaker 5: but then bad news can bankrupt them.
- 53:20Speaker 4: So it's kind of like a speedboat and.
- 53:23Speaker 6: A cruise ship, like a wee work situation.
- 53:26Speaker 4: We gotta talk about we work, talk about work.
- 53:30Speaker 2: But that's called beta. What you're talking about the volatility.
- 53:34Speaker 2: So if you're gonna invest in the stock, you can
- 53:36Speaker 2: look at the beta of it. A low beta means
- 53:38Speaker 2: it is not volatile. A high beta means like Tesla,
- 53:42Speaker 2: high beta, high risk, high reward.
- 53:45Speaker 6: Right.
- 53:45Speaker 2: But McDonald's probably a beta of zero point nine, right,
- 53:50Speaker 2: So it's not gonna you know, it's not like you're
- 53:52Speaker 2: not about the week up to dam McDonald's is at
- 53:54Speaker 2: two thirty and tomorrow tomorrow is at one fifty.
- 53:57Speaker 3: That's not by app. But with Tesla you're a wake
- 53:59Speaker 3: up to is that to fifty tomorrow you can wake up?
- 54:02Speaker 3: Is that one eighty? Easy? Right? So high beta in
- 54:06Speaker 3: the market cap is just simply this.
- 54:09Speaker 2: If I have ten shares of my business on the
- 54:12Speaker 2: stock market, and there were ten dollars a share at
- 54:15Speaker 2: that point, I have one hundred dollars market cap. So
- 54:18Speaker 2: it's how many outstanding shares on the market times of
- 54:21Speaker 2: stock price, that's how much.
- 54:23Speaker 3: That's how you can tell what the market cap is
- 54:25Speaker 3: of a business.
- 54:25Speaker 4: Can we talk about that? We work situation.
- 54:27Speaker 3: Let's talk about it.
- 54:28Speaker 5: So if anybody's not familiar, we worked was the talk
- 54:32Speaker 5: of Wall Street. Right, it was IPO. They were the
- 54:34Speaker 5: most valuable.
- 54:36Speaker 3: Forty five billion, coming in at forty.
- 54:38Speaker 4: Five something.
- 54:41Speaker 5: And they fell apart and now they had to withdraw
- 54:45Speaker 5: their IPO. The CEO got fired, step down, step down,
- 54:50Speaker 5: he lost his billionaire status. Yes, so today in a day,
- 54:55Speaker 5: So a lot of times people see these stories they
- 54:57Speaker 5: don't fully understand, like how is this possible?
- 54:59Speaker 4: Like what's your take on that?
- 55:01Speaker 2: Well, so shout my people house hunder two one six.
- 55:05Speaker 2: She had me one day, cousin Nita, she hit me
- 55:08Speaker 2: and she.
- 55:08Speaker 3: Was like, travel my heart right there. She hit me
- 55:12Speaker 3: up on that.
- 55:13Speaker 2: She was like, trapper, man, I won't invest in we
- 55:15Speaker 2: were I said, oh no, you not.
- 55:18Speaker 3: Know you not? She was like why.
- 55:20Speaker 2: I was like, man, these people don't make money. So
- 55:23Speaker 2: one of the things I love about the stock market
- 55:25Speaker 2: is it literally teaches you how to be a businessman
- 55:29Speaker 2: or a woman because you look at businesses all day. Right,
- 55:33Speaker 2: so they're not profitable. Well, a lot of companies aren't
- 55:37Speaker 2: finished off, so they aren't profitable and they don't have
- 55:43Speaker 2: the revenue to back it up. So like, not only
- 55:46Speaker 2: aren't they so you can actually not be profitable but
- 55:49Speaker 2: still have a lot of revenue Netflix, you know what
- 55:52Speaker 2: I'm saying. But Uber or Uber, but they aren't profitable
- 55:56Speaker 2: and they don't have the revenue coming in. And it's
- 56:01Speaker 2: so when I invest in the business, I look at this.
- 56:04Speaker 2: I always look at the inverse, meaning if something bad happens,
- 56:09Speaker 2: how likely is it for this stock to fall?
- 56:13Speaker 3: So we know we work it's based.
- 56:14Speaker 2: Off of entrepreneurial space, right, so they rent space to entrepreneurs.
- 56:19Speaker 2: So I looked at it like this, they already are
- 56:21Speaker 2: not profitable if something happens as far as recession wise,
- 56:27Speaker 2: when entrepreneurs rather come sit in the room at their
- 56:30Speaker 2: own house in the table and do work and not
- 56:32Speaker 2: pay that rent, or would they still pay that rent,
- 56:35Speaker 2: they probably would cut that rent out. So that business
- 56:37Speaker 2: model isn't to me. It wasn't something that has a
- 56:41Speaker 2: lot of longevity in it.
- 56:42Speaker 3: Now.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Dude was a bad seal with a great idea, though,
- 56:49Speaker 2: but when he got the bread, he just was on.
- 56:54Speaker 3: He was he was some party city woof of Wall
- 56:58Speaker 3: Street all the but I envisioned the lamb.
- 57:06Speaker 2: Yeah, he had a lot going on, and he didn't
- 57:09Speaker 2: want he didn't want up it.
- 57:11Speaker 3: But once, so this is the thing.
- 57:13Speaker 2: Once somebody who's a major investor said, Yo, I'm pulling
- 57:16Speaker 2: my bread soft bank, which is up. Once they're like,
- 57:20Speaker 2: I'm pulling my bread, you know, like do it on
- 57:22Speaker 2: the wrong level. He living his life wrong.
- 57:24Speaker 3: Now other major infestors are like, wait a minute, I'm
- 57:29Speaker 3: gonna pull my bread to even that ship.
- 57:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and so now the people nobody wants to get
- 57:34Speaker 2: stuck hold in the bag. So the next biggest thing
- 57:36Speaker 2: is do you gotta go. We don't want you to go,
- 57:39Speaker 2: but you gotta step down because we need another face, right,
- 57:43Speaker 2: And so he was stubborn for a while, like nah,
- 57:45Speaker 2: because he made the business. You know, it's harf you
- 57:48Speaker 2: let your baby go because even if you step down,
- 57:51Speaker 2: you know what's.
- 57:51Speaker 6: Coming next the ship be thinking.
- 57:56Speaker 2: So I just thought it was a bad business as
- 57:58Speaker 2: a whole out what you do sing about.
- 58:01Speaker 5: I think that it has potential because there's a lot
- 58:05Speaker 5: of coworking one yeahs like actually speaking back the night,
- 58:15Speaker 5: it's interesting what you said as far as economic downturn,
- 58:19Speaker 5: because I was gonna ask you about the recession or
- 58:20Speaker 5: people saying it's going to be a recession. It's interesting.
- 58:23Speaker 5: I never really thought about that from that standpoint. But
- 58:25Speaker 5: it makes a lot of sense as far as to say, Okay,
- 58:27Speaker 5: if if worst comes the worst, I'll just stay in
- 58:30Speaker 5: my living room. I don't have to you know, if
- 58:33Speaker 5: you go into off, you don't have to have an
- 58:34Speaker 5: office if you're doing that, because other than like holding meetings,
- 58:39Speaker 5: which you just pay zoom.
- 58:42Speaker 6: Yeah, it's just not sustainable, right, Like I might not
- 58:46Speaker 6: have meetings every day of every month.
- 58:49Speaker 5: I think people are working differently now too. It's kind
- 58:52Speaker 5: of my old business model to actually go and like
- 58:53Speaker 5: I have an office I probably go to like once
- 58:55Speaker 5: a week.
- 58:55Speaker 6: Exactly.
- 58:56Speaker 4: You don't need to physically go into an.
- 58:58Speaker 6: Office and there once a week. You know what I'm saying, Like,
- 59:02Speaker 6: what's the point.
- 59:02Speaker 2: It's not you may go just to clear your mind.
- 59:06Speaker 2: I'm just going, yeah, let me go ahead, but you
- 59:09Speaker 2: don't need it. So that's what that's what I thought
- 59:12Speaker 2: about it. Now the bad part.
- 59:16Speaker 3: Some of some of them are actually profitable.
- 59:19Speaker 2: So at that point, the whole dynamic of the business
- 59:21Speaker 2: changes because if you're a profitable.
- 59:24Speaker 3: Business in an economic downturn.
- 59:27Speaker 2: So now we're gonna tap into something that's deeper called
- 59:28Speaker 2: free cast flow. Right, So this is the money that
- 59:32Speaker 2: a business has that's not attached to anything. After they
- 59:36Speaker 2: pay their bills and after they pay everything, they still
- 59:38Speaker 2: have this or Apple is like one of them has
- 59:40Speaker 2: the biggest, Like yo, they free cast was like crazy, it's.
- 59:46Speaker 3: Like one hundred and ninety billion.
- 59:49Speaker 2: So what happens is in case of an economic downturn,
- 59:54Speaker 2: they still have money to keep the business going. If
- 59:59Speaker 2: you are profitable business and you have a good free
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: cash flow, you can still sustain for a given amount
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: of time. But if you're negative all around the board,
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: you're gonna collapse. And so for me, that's something I
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: look for in a business. I need you to have
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: a mote, which is a competitive advantage, and I need
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: you to have a good like free cash flow.
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: I need that to be positive.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: So when you look at a business, what are you
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: looking at? You're looking at their earning report? Do you like?
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: What do you what do you actually look and how
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: do you evaluate whether.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: Your So I look for a few things like so
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: it's like me looking at a woman.
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: No, no to nobody.
- 1:00:38Speaker 6: Like, I don't want get the notepads out there, right,
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: So you.
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: Have what you look for, and then you have what's
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: there right, and then you ask yourself, how does this
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: fit to what I want?
- 1:00:53Speaker 6: Right?
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: So what I do is I look at The first
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: thing I look at is this.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: I never look at the stock price because the stock
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: price is only based on how you and I feel
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: about it, right, So first thing I look at who
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: running a business? And I put this on my page
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: all the time. How a person runs a business tells
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: me a lot about the business. Because if you can't man,
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: if you can't run the business. I can't make no money.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: So I'm gonna look at when did you get into
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: a position of the CEO, How did the business run
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: before you? And what have you done since you got
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: taken control of the business. That's first and foremost, So
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: I won't look at management first. The next thing I'm
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: gonna look at is do you have a competitive ad right? So,
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: like what makes you better than everybody else? What makes
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: you sustainable? So, for instance, if you bought Coca Cola,
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: so you have to ask yourself this. If you are
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: a retail business, what does your shelf domination look like?
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: How do you dominate the shells? So if you go
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: into sodas, Coca Cola dominates. But if you look at
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: the overall business, Pepsi does. Pepsi has more products. But
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: if you look in that sheer beverages, Coca Cola dominates.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: Even when you go to a fast food store, they're
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: predominantly coke products.
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: One of those things where they coined the names like coke.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: Coke, and Bingo. When your name becomes synonymous with something,
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: you have a competitive EDG.
- 1:02:29Speaker 6: We have that conversation. It's like bandid.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Bingo's It's like polo bingo, that style of shirts, even
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: if it's a cost shirt, it's a polo shirt exactly.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: So I'm looking for that doable competitive edge. And now
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: we're going to tap into earnings. So I want to
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: see me, what have you done the last eight quarters?
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: Have you beat ernest the last eight quarters? Meaning have
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: you made profits the last eight quarters? And then I
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: want to look at your free cash flow. I want
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: to look at work in capital, which is current assets
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: and current liabilities meanings what you have in these next
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: twelve months. So something happening in the next twelve months,
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: is that money positive? If it's negative, we got an issue.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: It's not bad, but we got an issue. If it's positive,
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: then I know you can hold it down.
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: It's like having money and sale accounty.
- 1:03:17Speaker 6: So when you're looking at all these things, are we
- 1:03:19Speaker 6: looking what are we looking through publications? Are we going
- 1:03:22Speaker 6: to a site like.
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: So face value.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: You can go to Yahoo finance, just face value. You
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: go to Yahoo finance and you can do the numbers.
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: If you want to dig deep, you go to that
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: company's quarterly report an annual report. So what happens is
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: it's another thing like while I love the stock market,
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: if you're a public company, you have to tell.
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: People what you're doing.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: Information has to be public, it has to be so
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: even your competitors get to see what you're doing.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: So that's what I do.
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: Like if I like a business, I won't see what
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: the competitors doing, and I won't see how are you
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: at matching up to what they're doing?
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: Are you shifting that way?
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: Right?
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: So I won't see are they how are they move
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: into all the future? Because we know every two years
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: the business cycle changes.
- 1:04:12Speaker 6: That's why when you hear like on CNBC, it's like
- 1:04:14Speaker 6: all their quartery reports coming in every too.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: Everybody has to do it.
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: And so if it's a dividend paying company, are you
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: increasing those? If you increase from those, that mean you
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: have some profitability because no business can consistently increase paying
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: me more money if they don't have money.
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: So education, Am I going to d right now?
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: No? Man?
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: Perfect?
- 1:04:39Speaker 5: So all right? So the education, right, you got to
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: on your own platform? So what what made you? What
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: made you want to want to do that and educate
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: other people?
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: Uh?
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: With knowlge that that you have.
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: So what happened for me was it got me out
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: the trap?
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: YEA literally like hustling. Stop selling weed, stopped robbing, stopped
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: selling coke. I started putting all my money in stock market.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: And at that point I wasn't worrying about nobody shooting me.
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: I got shot. I shot twice in my leg, once in.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: My ass, and I almost got kidnapped when I was fifteen,
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: Like I was halfway inside the trump. For me, it
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: was like, damn, I can make money doing this shit.
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: Excuse my naguage, and I ain't got to worry about nothing.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: It was it was synonymous with hustling for me. So
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: that's another reason why I love it so much, is
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: because me actually breaking down a business.
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: It's like me breaking down a pack.
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: Yeah, that's like one of the things that I heard
- 1:05:47Speaker 6: you say and one of your videos was like, Yo,
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: this is comparable to the streets. I wish people would
- 1:05:52Speaker 6: have known. Yeah, this whole time, this is like comparable.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: To they're the biggest gangsters. So once I learned that again,
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: my whole movement started. And this ain't nothing against nobody.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: Shout out to all my trappers. That's rocking with me, right,
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: But my moving wasn't for everybody. I'm not for everybody.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: I don't relate to everybody. Everybody won't relate to me,
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: and that's cool. I was straight for people from the
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: streets because I felt like I could teach you something
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: that nobody taught you, and I gave us the leverage.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: And so a friend of mine was like, Yo, you
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: need to put that on like Instagram.
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: Now, mind you. Like I'm not even much.
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: I wasn't the Instagram person like, yo, I'm not about
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: to be taking these pictures.
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: Talking to these people like that.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: But once I realized how powerful it was, like the
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: courage was like, yay, let's talk about it. And so
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: once people started telling me, yo, I'm investing in stocks
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: because of you, it was bigger than me at that
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: point and the greatest way for us to grow real talk.
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: I've learned this.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: You'll get stagnant in your knowledge, even though you can learn,
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: you can read.
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: You learn more when you teach other people.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: Absolutely, absolutely, you learn more when you teach other people.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: And so people have unique questions and in order to
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: be a good teacher, you have to have these prolific answers,
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: but they have to make sense. So it makes you,
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: I don't want to say dumb it down, but it
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: makes you like dig deeple into your your mental forward
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: text and like.
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: How can I make this sound like apples and oranges?
- 1:07:28Speaker 6: Even if they're not grasping, Like how can I modify
- 1:07:31Speaker 6: it to make.
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: Sure that they get it?
- 1:07:33Speaker 6: Like when I first went into education, like they had
- 1:07:36Speaker 6: me teaching health, I never wanted to be in a
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: classroom straight and it was a challenge every day, Like
- 1:07:42Speaker 6: kids would come with questions and I'm like, damn, do
- 1:07:44Speaker 6: I really do I even.
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: Know this exactly appropriate?
- 1:07:46Speaker 6: Exactly I have to go learn now this exactly So
- 1:07:49Speaker 6: the next day I come all right, there you go.
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: So that's the best way.
- 1:07:53Speaker 4: So once that happened, So what do you So what
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: are you teaching people that you're working with?
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: Are you teaching them like step by step like how
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: to get into the game, how to evaluate stocks, like
- 1:08:05Speaker 5: all of the above.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: So I actually have different I have different levels what
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: I get into, so I meet people at their level.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: There is no like one size of his at So
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: I actually have.
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: I have three e books.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: So the Wall Street Trap one on one, Wash Street
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: Trap one or two was shret Trap one O three.
- 1:08:24Speaker 6: Falling Away.
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: The name one of four is trapped doing numbers.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: Moti supply the street dog motivation and I actually have
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: Trap of flash cards and.
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: This was a project that I used. I used them
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: on my daughter's mother.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: I was like, look, teach her these It's been about
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: twenty minutes a day just teaching her these cards. It's digital,
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: and in about three months she was like, hey, I
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: won't open up an account. So at that point I
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: knew it was suitable for kids and adults, you know
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: what I'm saying. So one of my courses is called
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: Jumping off the Porch. Everything I do is related to
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: the streets. I was going to say, like everything you
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: do is.
- 1:09:04Speaker 6: Synonymous with street, right, like from even Wall Street Trap.
- 1:09:08Speaker 6: We et even get into obviously trapping. We know it is,
- 1:09:13Speaker 6: like you say, it is like synonymous with somebody doing
- 1:09:16Speaker 6: illegal things in the area. Wall Street is synonymous with
- 1:09:19Speaker 6: people who come from wealth. Right, So when you think that, like,
- 1:09:22Speaker 6: let's converse together and now like that's it. We're gonna
- 1:09:26Speaker 6: play on that.
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: And that was the name of the businesses from the
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: Trap of Wall Street. That's the name of my business.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: So my first it's called Jumping off the Porch. And
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: what that does is we don't even talk about stocks
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: in there. I literally because one of the things is
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: people want to just jump into the stock market. You
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: can't jump into a fight if you don't have a strategy.
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: You don't have a game plan. So what the jumping
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: off the porch course is. We talk about finding your
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: style of investing. So I map out three or four
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: different styles of investing and you can figure out which
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: one fits you. Then we go into why equity is
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: better than cash, and then we go into three different
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: strategies that are real simple on how you can put
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: your portfolio together. So once you take that cause, now
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: you have an understanding of Okay, now I know how
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: to get in the game. You have a strategy. The
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: next thing I have is called Welcome to the trap.
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: That's the beginner's course. We just go with the basics,
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: how to stock market works, how to set up your
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: account in next funds, ETFs, things like that. We go
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: into some other things and then there's Wall Street trapping,
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: Wall Street trapping. We go through the basics and then
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: we tap into like what to research, how to research
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: a CEO, what activities are he doing that puts us
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: on alert? How to follow big investors to see what
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: they're doing so every so often. Every month, big investors
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: like Warren Buffett, they have to report with their buying.
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: So I teach them how to look at that that's
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: a good gauge. I teach them what to research the
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: fundamentals balance sheets, as income statements, cast flow statements, where
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: ratios to use to find the actual valuation of a business.
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: Like I walk you through the process. So when you
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: finish that, you know, you felt like you met the plug.
- 1:11:21Speaker 6: That was was like, let's talk about the plug because
- 1:11:25Speaker 6: the plug package just something that's very unique that no
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: one's really doing.
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: Nah.
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: So I looked at the game and I was just like, okay,
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: like what are people doing?
- 1:11:33Speaker 6: Right?
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: And so with me, I know that people have bought
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: into me, right they cool. I want to learn stocks,
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: but I've bought into trapper Like so that's a connection
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: right there. And because everybody learns different, even if you
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: buy the course, you still might need somebody to walk
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: you through the course because even though it's listen, we
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: all learned different. Some people are visual and some people
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: just need to like look, hold my hand and just
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: do if you hold my hand and walk me through it,
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: like yo, I'm gonna kill it. So I was like,
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: all right, I'm gonna go to people like I'm gonna
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: literally fly out to you.
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: So that's what the meat the Plug is.
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: It's literally you get the Wall Street trapping course and
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: then I come to your city and I walk you
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: through the course, and then I walk you through whatever
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: questions you have about the course, about investing. If you
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: already have an account, we're gonna audit the account. We're
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: gonna make sure your ship is set up right.
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: So if I live in Detroit, the plug is coming
- 1:12:35Speaker 6: to Detroit.
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: Coming to Detroit.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: Not the only thing about that is if you live
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: in like the back was, I'm not coming to the
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: back was.
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: We're gonna go to.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: Where the airport is and we're gonna meet up at
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: a we work, like, give me something wrong. But but
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: that's what the meat the Plug is.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: It's actually me coming to.
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: You and then I give you four phone calls right
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: there to me after that. So we have this, we
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: do lunch, my treat with the Meat the Plug. We
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: walked through the court. It's a full day. We do
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: like a few hours. Then we eat lunch. We go
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: through it like you're going to because what happens is
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: and I've learned this with a mastermind I just did
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: with my big Brotherhood of States. Is once you start
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: talking to people in person, you know, you never know where.
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: That conversation goes. And so now when I.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: See you on the ground, you're like, oh, it's good trap,
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: Oh it's good tim because we've made a connection. Now
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: it's not just you bought the court. I mean you
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: bought the course. I love the support, and I'm you know,
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: I've rock with my travelers. But once we have that connection,
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: it's like it's a relationship now because I literally.
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: Flew out to talk to you. We talked, we ate lunch,
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: and all kinds of stuff that happened at that point.
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: So now it's powerful.
- 1:13:47Speaker 5: Man, thank you, thank you for joining us. I'm glad
- 1:13:51Speaker 5: that it's crazy because, like you said, you didn't reach
- 1:13:54Speaker 5: out to me. I just heard shout out to my
- 1:13:56Speaker 5: man Matt. I don't know who told me he was
- 1:13:57Speaker 5: going to be in New York, right, I think Matt
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: said he was going to be in New Hit you up.
- 1:14:00Speaker 5: You're interested in coming in the podcast. People A lot
- 1:14:03Speaker 5: of people ask like, what's the process to be on
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: the podcast? Most of the time, it's my intuition. It's
- 1:14:09Speaker 5: a genuine process, right and Troy, have I failed yet?
- 1:14:13Speaker 6: Yo? Man? We are one hundred one hundred. They said,
- 1:14:15Speaker 6: we like bad Boy in the nineties. Yo, y'all none
- 1:14:17Speaker 6: but his none but his nothing.
- 1:14:20Speaker 5: But I think this is definitely gonna be some some
- 1:14:24Speaker 5: episode that's gonna live forever.
- 1:14:25Speaker 6: Yeah, bro and shout out to Q he introduced stocks
- 1:14:29Speaker 6: on our podcast episode fifteen. Checked that out. Yeah, I
- 1:14:33Speaker 6: was thinking, and this is like, now, this is a
- 1:14:36Speaker 6: full circle of the stock market for sure.
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: Y'all got heavy hitters. Come on, y'all. I kind of
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: was like, yo, yo, they got heavy hit and you
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: made it.
- 1:14:44Speaker 6: To the green room, right, So we're back in.
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: We're back in the We're in a trap.
- 1:14:51Speaker 4: I haven't been here for a while, but I appreciate it.
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: It's just the information was extremely valuable, but just the
- 1:14:58Speaker 5: story too. I think it's extreme, inspirational, motivational, and I
- 1:15:02Speaker 5: think that you know, it's it's it's bigger like they say,
- 1:15:06Speaker 5: it's bigger than rap. You know, it's bigger than just
- 1:15:08Speaker 5: business like, it's real people. I mean, everybody's got their
- 1:15:12Speaker 5: own personal journey and to see people overcome adversity and
- 1:15:16Speaker 5: to see people, you know, put their minds to something
- 1:15:18Speaker 5: into you know. Like I said, it doesn't matter where
- 1:15:20Speaker 5: you come from.
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: The game is the game.
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: The game is the game.
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: It ain't going no well, it's not going well. So
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: we just got to play it. Make sure you're playing
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: the right one. We gotta play it.
- 1:15:31Speaker 4: That's a fact.
