Speaker 1: Question did you know anything about him prior to meeting him? Answer? No,
• 3:13
Speaker 1: mister Grant, And you said you thought he was off putting.
• 3:17
Speaker 1: What made you think that he was off putting? Answer?
• 3:20
Speaker 1: It was just well, he was introduced to me as
• 3:23
Speaker 1: they were flying on his plane, the delegation, the group
• 3:26
Speaker 1: on a tour through Asia. I think the way he
• 3:28
Speaker 1: carried himself and a few comments. It was a group.
• 3:31
Speaker 1: I don't remember having a one on one conversation with him.
• 3:34
Speaker 1: It was just kind of a large group there. You
• 3:35
Speaker 1: know the table, it's probably this size, mister Grant, And
• 3:40
Speaker 1: you would say it was roughly the same feeling as
• 3:42
Speaker 1: to why you thought he was arrogant as well, Miss Callen,
• 3:45
Speaker 1: do you want to clarify the question a bit, mister Grant. Yeah,
• 3:48
Speaker 1: so you said he was off putting an arrogant. You
• 3:51
Speaker 1: just described what made him seem off putting. Would that
• 3:55
Speaker 1: same description fit on why you thought he was arrogant
• 3:57
Speaker 1: as well, mister Waite, Yeah, just kind of the way
• 4:00
Speaker 1: he carried himself. Maybe. Question did mister Epstein have a

• 4:25
Speaker 1: I don't know for sure. Mister Spector, how do you
• 4:27
Speaker 1: know he was aware of the relationship? Then, mister Waite.
• 4:31
Speaker 1: I did meet him at one point in Miss Maxwell's
• 4:33
Speaker 1: residence early in our relationship. Miss Cathay. Can you describe
• 4:38
Speaker 1: more about the circumstances of that meeting and how that
• 4:41
Speaker 1: conversation went. Answer mister Waite. Miss Maxwell was hosting a
• 4:45
Speaker 1: dinner event. We were getting ready and then she announced
• 4:47
Speaker 1: that Jeffrey you wanted to meet me and he'd be
• 4:49
Speaker 1: there shortly, and he kind of appeared. It was quite odd.
• 4:53
Speaker 1: I felt and uncomfortable since he was our ex boyfriend.
• 4:57
Speaker 1: Miss Cathay. Did she give you any information about him
• 4:59
Speaker 1: in prepper for meeting him? Mister Waite, No, not really,
• 5:03
Speaker 1: mister Spector, so you knew that he was her ex boyfriend.
• 5:06
Speaker 1: So was that from conversation that you had with Miss
• 5:09
Speaker 1: Maxwell or someone else? Answer yes question with Miss Maxwell.
• 5:14
Speaker 1: Answer yes. Question what did she tell you about him? Answer?
• 5:18
Speaker 1: She told me that he was like a brilliant investor
• 5:20
Speaker 1: money manager. Question So she only told you positive things
• 5:24
Speaker 1: about her ex boyfriend? Answer yes, and that they ended
• 5:27
Speaker 1: their relationship. I think it was on her fortieth birthday.
• 5:31
Speaker 1: Question by Miss Cathay. You mentioned this briefly earlier, but
• 5:36
Speaker 1: how often did you see or interact with mister Epstein
• 5:38
Speaker 1: through the course of your relationship with Miss Maxwell. Answer
• 5:43
Speaker 1: there was only two other times after that meeting at
• 5:45
Speaker 1: the sixty fifth Street residence, and those were both literally
• 5:49
Speaker 1: running into him like on the street. Question these were
• 5:53
Speaker 1: brief conversations then, answer very brief. Question. Do you happen
• 5:57
Speaker 1: to know what you were talking about with them? Answer? No,
• 6:00
Speaker 1: I do not recall. Question was he particularly interested in
• 6:04
Speaker 1: your business or anything else? Answer the meeting at sixty
• 6:07
Speaker 1: fifth Street, he asked a lot about what I was
• 6:09
Speaker 1: investing in, you know that type of thing. Question Did
• 6:13
Speaker 1: you get the impression that he was after information about
• 6:15
Speaker 1: your company specifically? Answer? It was quite odd. I couldn't
• 6:19
Speaker 1: really figure it out, frankly. Question so no, you were
• 6:22
Speaker 1: just unclear on why he was asking or what he
• 6:25
Speaker 1: was asking about. Answer yeah, I got more of the
• 6:28
Speaker 1: sense he was filling me out. Question in retrospect, do
• 6:32
Speaker 1: you have any idea what he might have been about? Answer?
• 6:34
Speaker 1: No question. Did Miss Maxwell ever express concerns that mister
• 6:38
Speaker 1: Epstein would have had a negative reaction to the two
• 6:41
Speaker 1: of you dating mister Waite? No question. Did the nature
• 6:45
Speaker 1: of your relationship with mister Epstein change at any point
• 6:48
Speaker 1: while you were dating Miss Maxwell. Answer no, I never
• 6:52
Speaker 1: really had a relationship with mister Epstein. Mister spector, did
• 6:56
Speaker 1: you ever communicate with mister Ebstein over the phone or
• 6:59
Speaker 1: email or anything, mister wait no, specter besides the in
• 7:04
Speaker 1: person interactions that you described, Ted wait no, not that
• 7:07
Speaker 1: I know of, Miss Catay. Could you please go into
• 7:11
Speaker 1: a little bit more detail about Miss Maxwell's occupation. Answer sure,
• 7:15
Speaker 1: I'll try to speak up for those in the back.
• 7:17
Speaker 1: I can only go based on what she told me.
• 7:19
Speaker 1: She told me that she was after the romantic relationship
• 7:23
Speaker 1: with mister Epstein ended. You know, prior to that, she
• 7:25
Speaker 1: had managed his properties and his staff, and you know,
• 7:28
Speaker 1: acted like kind of a wife would. She then transitioned
• 7:32
Speaker 1: to an employee status as an estate manager after we
• 7:36
Speaker 1: began dating. She minimized those activities and was moving out
• 7:39
Speaker 1: of that out of that role, and she was always
• 7:42
Speaker 1: busy investing in other things, small businesses. She was very entrepreneurial,
• 7:47
Speaker 1: and you know, she claimed she paid for her residence
• 7:49
Speaker 1: with some Internet investment. Question. Couple things to follow up
• 7:54
Speaker 1: on there, but first, so she was still employed by
• 7:57
Speaker 1: mister Epstein while you were dating. Can you clarify the
• 7:59
Speaker 1: time forrame of that. When did she stop working for Epstein?
• 8:03
Speaker 1: Or excuse me, let me rephrase, did she ever stop
• 8:05
Speaker 1: working for mister Epstein while you were together? Answer? I
• 8:09
Speaker 1: don't know that for sure. Question but you said she
• 8:11
Speaker 1: cut back her time working for him. Answer that's what
• 8:14
Speaker 1: she told me. Question Well you didn't know that for sure?
• 8:17
Speaker 1: Answer I didn't know that for sure. Question because you
• 8:20
Speaker 1: did live in different cities and no verbal response. Question
• 8:25
Speaker 1: do you know how often she was going into the office?
• 8:27
Speaker 1: Answer I don't know. Question do you know how often
• 8:30
Speaker 1: she was communicating with mister Ebstein on a daily basis?
• 8:33
Speaker 1: Answer I don't know. Question did you ever visit miss
• 8:36
Speaker 1: Maxwell at the office where she worked for mister Epstein?
• 8:39
Speaker 1: Answer no, not that I recall. Question did she ever
• 8:42
Speaker 1: talk to you about mister Ebstein in the context of
• 8:44
Speaker 1: being her employer? Answer not in that context. Question she
• 8:48
Speaker 1: never complained about work? Answer no, not that I recall.
• 8:52
Speaker 1: Question did she ever complain about any aspect of her job,
• 8:55
Speaker 1: even things that maybe were unrelated to mister Epstein? Answer
• 9:00
Speaker 1: she didn't get into a lot of details about it. Now,
• 9:03
Speaker 1: mister Spector, is asking a question you didn't have questions
• 9:06
Speaker 1: for given that she was working you were dating someone
• 9:09
Speaker 1: that was working for her ex boyfriend. You didn't have
• 9:11
Speaker 1: any questions about that, mister Waite. I was under the
• 9:15
Speaker 1: impression that she moved on from that. She talked a
• 9:17
Speaker 1: lot about investment ideas and she had other activities, but
• 9:20
Speaker 1: very little about I don't recall any conversations about the
• 9:24
Speaker 1: day to day activity with mister Epstein's affairs. Miss Cathay
• 9:28
Speaker 1: doing the questioning. Now, you were her boyfriend for seven years,
• 9:31
Speaker 1: so in your opinion the things that you observed, did
• 9:34
Speaker 1: mister Epstein ever manipulate Miss Maxwell into continuing working for him?
• 9:40
Speaker 1: Miss Callen, if you have an opinion, mister Waite, yeah,
• 9:43
Speaker 1: you're asking me to give an opinion, Miss Cathay, I
• 9:45
Speaker 1: am as a long term boyfriend and what you observed
• 9:49
Speaker 1: about her, Mister Waite, I could sum it up to say,
• 9:52
Speaker 1: he seemed like there was a presence and it was
• 9:54
Speaker 1: always there. Miss Cathay. Do you feel like there was
• 9:57
Speaker 1: a consequence of the fact that they used to date
• 10:00
Speaker 1: mister Wade. I don't know, Mister Spector. It did seem
• 10:04
Speaker 1: like mister Epstein knew something about Miss Maxwell that she
• 10:06
Speaker 1: was afraid about. Mister Wade. I never got that impression,
• 10:10
Speaker 1: Miss Cathay. Question did mister Epstein abuse Miss Maxwell? Answer again,
• 10:15
Speaker 1: I don't know. I never never would have witnessed anything directly.
• 10:19
Speaker 1: Question did mister Epstein ever ask her coercial or force
• 10:22
Speaker 1: her to absect with other people? Answer again, I don't know.
• 10:26
Speaker 1: Question she never brought up anything about that, anything about
• 10:29
Speaker 1: their previous relationship that ever made you feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
• 10:34
Speaker 1: Miss Callen, do you want to chat? They go off
• 10:39
Speaker 1: the record, They come back on, Miss Cathay, We'll go

Speaker 1: back on the record. Question did miss Maxwell, in the
• 10:44
Speaker 1: course of dating her and getting close to her, did
• 10:47
Speaker 1: she ever mention that anything happened in her relationship with
• 10:49
Speaker 1: mister Epstein that made her feel uncomfortable or unsafe? Answer
• 10:53
Speaker 1: not that I can recall. Question did she talk about
• 10:57
Speaker 1: anything ever occurring that she regrets? Answer again nothing, nothing
• 11:01
Speaker 1: comes to mind. Question was your relationship with Miss Maxwell monogamous? Answer?
• 11:07
Speaker 1: I was under the impression it was. Question and what
• 11:10
Speaker 1: is miss Maxwell's sexual orientation? Answer She's gets cut off
• 11:14
Speaker 1: by his lawyer. Want to go off the record, They

• 11:19
Speaker 1: was miss Maxwell's sexual orientation? Mister Waite heterosexual. Mister spector,
• 11:25
Speaker 1: do you have any reason to believe that she had
• 11:27
Speaker 1: any sexual encounters with females? Ted Waite I no, Miss Cathay.
• 11:33
Speaker 1: Question during your relationship with Miss Maxwell, did you have
