  to

  our

• 2:17
  out
• 2:17
  there,
• 2:18
  I
• 2:18
  am
• 2:18
  glad
• 2:18
  you
• 2:19
  chose
• 2:19
  to
• 2:20
  click
• 2:20
  whether
• 2:21
  you're
• 2:21
  on
• 2:21
  YouTube
• 2:22
  or
• 2:22
  on
• 2:22
  whatever,
• 2:23
  wherever
• 2:24
  your
• 2:24
  podcast
• 2:25
  you
• 2:25
  clicked,
• 2:26

  we
• 2:27
  are

  grateful
• 2:28
  for
• 2:28
  you
• 2:28
  all
• 2:29
  here.
• 2:30
  Well,
• 2:30
  before
• 2:30
  we
• 2:30
  get
• 2:31
  started,
• 2:31
  I
• 2:32
  want
• 2:32
  to
• 2:32
  hear
• 2:32
  what
• 2:32
  you
• 2:32
  guys
• 2:33
  are
• 2:33
  geeking
• 2:33
  out
• 2:33
  on.
• 2:34
  So,
• 2:34
  Jill,
• 2:34
  we'll
• 2:35
  start
• 2:35
  with
• 2:35
  you.
• 2:35
  What's.
• 2:36
  What's
• 2:36
  one
• 2:36
  thing
• 2:37
  lately
• 2:37
  a
• 2:38
  book,
• 2:38
  A.
• 2:38
  World
• 2:38
  Appears
• 2:39
  by
• 2:39
  Michael
• 2:40
  Pollan.
• 2:40
  It's
• 2:40
  a
• 2:40
  journey
• 2:41
  into
• 2:41
  consciousness.
• 2:42
  A
• 2:43
  little
• 2:43
  bit
• 2:43
  of
• 2:43
  a
• 2:43
  neuroscience
• 2:44
  nerd.
• 2:44
  And
• 2:45
  this
• 2:45
  is
• 2:45
  about
• 2:46
  the
• 2:46
  neuroscience
• 2:47
  of
• 2:47
  like
• 2:48
  plants
• 2:49
  and
• 2:49
  animals
• 2:50
  and
• 2:50
  what
• 2:51
  exactly
• 2:51
  defines
• 2:52
  consciousness?
• 2:52
  It
• 2:53
  sort
• 2:53
  of
• 2:53
  follows
• 2:53
  along
• 2:53
  this
• 2:54
  question
• 2:54
  that
• 2:54
  we're
• 2:54
  always
• 2:54
  asking
• 2:55
  here.
• 2:56
  What
• 2:56
  exactly
• 2:56
  does
• 2:56
  it
• 2:57
  mean
• 2:57
  to
• 2:57
  be
• 2:57
  human
• 2:57
  and
• 2:58
  what
• 2:58
  does
• 2:58
  it
• 2:58
  mean
• 2:58
  to
• 2:58
  be
• 2:58
  alive?
• 2:59
  It's
• 2:59
  a
• 2:59
  fascinating
• 3:00
  read.
• 3:01
  Nice.
• 3:01
  That
• 3:01
  sounds
• 3:02
  nice.
• 3:02
  Yeah.
• 3:04
  Right
• 3:05
  on.
• 3:05
  Will,
• 3:05
  what
• 3:06
  about
• 3:06
  you?
• 3:07
  Yeah,
• 3:07
  I
• 3:07
  actually
• 3:08
  went
• 3:08
  and
• 3:08
  saw
• 3:08
  Project
• 3:09
  Hail
• 3:09
  Mary
• 3:09
  for
• 3:09
  a
• 3:10
  second
• 3:10
  time,
• 3:10
  y'.
• 3:11
  All.
• 3:11
  And
• 3:13
  now
• 3:13
  that
• 3:13
  I
• 3:13
  knew
• 3:13
  it
• 3:14
  was
• 3:14
  gonna
• 3:14
  happen
• 3:14
  was
• 3:15
  going
• 3:15
  on,
• 3:15
  I
• 3:15
  can
• 3:15
  just
• 3:15
  settle
• 3:15
  into
• 3:16
  the
• 3:16
  details
• 3:16
  and
• 3:16
  the
• 3:16
  storytelling
• 3:17
  and
• 3:17
  I
• 3:18
  really
• 3:18
  paid
• 3:18
  attention
• 3:18
  to
• 3:19
  the
• 3:19
  soundtrack
• 3:19
  and
• 3:20
  how
• 3:20
  they
• 3:20
  were
• 3:20
  manipulating
• 3:21
  me
• 3:21
  with
• 3:22
  songs
• 3:22
  and
• 3:23
  scores.
• 3:23
  And
• 3:24
  they
• 3:24
  do
• 3:24
  such
• 3:25
  a
• 3:25
  good
• 3:25
  job.
• 3:25
  They
• 3:26
  do
• 3:26
  such
• 3:26
  a
• 3:26
  good
• 3:27
  job.
• 3:27
  I
• 3:27
  loved
• 3:27
  every
• 3:28
  second
• 3:28
  of
• 3:28
  it.
• 3:28
  And
• 3:29
  I
• 3:29
  think
• 3:29
  the
• 3:29
  music,
• 3:29
  like
• 3:30
  even
• 3:30
  the
• 3:30
  very
• 3:30
  beginning
• 3:31
  when
• 3:31
  you
• 3:31
  start
• 3:31
  off
• 3:32
  and
• 3:32
  you
• 3:32
  like,
• 3:32
  he
• 3:33
  finds
• 3:33
  he's
• 3:33
  the
• 3:33
  only
• 3:34
  one
• 3:34
  on
• 3:34
  the
• 3:34
  ship
• 3:34
  and
• 3:35
  people
• 3:35
  he'
• 3:36
  trying
• 3:36
  to
• 3:36
  figure
• 3:36
  out
• 3:36
  who
• 3:36
  he
• 3:36
  is.
• 3:36
  But
• 3:37
  there's
• 3:37
  a
• 3:37
  light
• 3:37
  hearted
• 3:38
  music
• 3:38
  kind
• 3:38
  of
• 3:38
  playing
• 3:39
  in
• 3:39
  the
• 3:39
  background,
• 3:40
  so
• 3:40
  you
• 3:40
  know
• 3:40
  that
• 3:40
  he's
• 3:40
  going
• 3:41
  to
• 3:41
  kind
• 3:41
  of
• 3:41
  be
• 3:41
  okay.
• 3:41
  Like,
• 3:42
  I
• 3:42
  was
• 3:42
  like
• 3:42
  noticing
• 3:43
  the
• 3:43
  choice
• 3:43
  of
• 3:44
  music
• 3:44
  and
• 3:44
  sounds
• 3:45
  and,
• 3:45
  and
• 3:45
  things
• 3:46
  like
• 3:46
  that
• 3:46
  and,
• 3:47
  and
• 3:47
  that.
• 3:47
  That
• 3:48
  was
• 3:48
  a
• 3:48
  lot
• 3:48
  of
• 3:48
  fun.
• 3:48
  So,
• 3:49
  yeah,
• 3:50
  that's
• 3:50
  what
• 3:50
  I'm
• 3:50
  geeking
• 3:50
  out
• 3:51
  on.
• 3:51
  Absolutely.
• 3:52
  I
• 3:52
  love
• 3:53
  it.
• 3:53
  Andy,
• 3:54
  how
• 3:54
  many
• 3:54
  times
• 3:54
  have
• 3:54
  you
• 3:54
  seen
• 3:55
  it
• 3:55
  now?
• 3:55
  I'm
• 3:55
  curious.
• 3:56
  I've
• 3:57
  only
• 3:57
  seen
• 3:57
  it
• 3:57
  the
• 3:57
  once.
• 3:58
  We're
• 3:58
  waiting
• 3:58
  for
• 3:59
  my
• 3:59
  son
• 3:59
  to
• 3:59
  come
• 3:59
  home
• 4:00
  to
• 4:00
  go
• 4:00
  again
• 4:01
  because
• 4:01
  he
• 4:02
  hasn't
• 4:02
  been
• 4:02
  able
• 4:02
  to
• 4:02
  see
• 4:02
  it
• 4:02
  up
• 4:03
  at
• 4:03
  college.
• 4:03
  But
• 4:03
  yeah,
• 4:04
  I
• 4:04
  just.
• 4:05
  Life.
• 4:05
  I
• 4:05
  generally
• 4:06
  don't
• 4:06
  get
• 4:06
  to
• 4:06
  the
• 4:06
  movie
• 4:06
  theater
• 4:07
  for
• 4:07
  multiple
• 4:07
  showings
• 4:08
  of
• 4:08
  a
• 4:08
  movie
• 4:08
  that.
• 4:08
  That
• 4:09
  often.
• 4:10
  Yeah,
• 4:11
  it's
• 4:11
  that.
• 4:11
  Yeah,
• 4:11
  that
• 4:12
  one
• 4:12
  I.
• 4:12
  I've
• 4:12
  seen
• 4:12
  twice
• 4:13
  as
• 4:13
  well.
• 4:13
  But.
• 4:14
  But
• 4:14
  yeah,
• 4:14
  I,
• 4:15
  I
• 4:15
  just
• 4:15
  know
• 4:15
  because
• 4:15
  again,
• 4:16
  that
• 4:16
  if.
• 4:16
  Yeah.
• 4:17
  A
• 4:17
  plug
• 4:18
  here
• 4:18
  for
• 4:18
  listeners
• 4:19
  out
• 4:19
  there.
• 4:19
  Go
• 4:19
  back
• 4:20
  and
• 4:20
  listen
• 4:20
  to
• 4:20
  our
• 4:20
  what's
• 4:21
  News
• 4:21
  episode
• 4:21
  where
• 4:21
  we
• 4:21
  covered
• 4:22
  Hail
• 4:22
  Mary
• 4:22
  because
• 4:23
  especially
• 4:23
  Andy's
• 4:24
  thoughts
• 4:24
  on
• 4:24
  that.
• 4:24
  It's
• 4:24
  fascinating.
• 4:25
  Bringing
• 4:26
  the
• 4:26
  scientific
• 4:27
  background.
• 4:27
  But
• 4:27
  yeah,
• 4:28
  yeah,
• 4:28
  for
• 4:28
  me,
• 4:29
  my
• 4:29
  daughter.
• 4:29
  Was
• 4:29
  taking
• 4:30
  a
• 4:30
  friend
• 4:30
  who
• 4:30
  hadn't
• 4:30
  seen
• 4:31
  yet,
• 4:31
  but
• 4:31
  she
• 4:31
  had
• 4:31
  seen
• 4:32
  it,
• 4:32
  and
• 4:32
  then
• 4:32
  we
• 4:32
  were
• 4:32
  like,
• 4:32
  we'll
• 4:33
  go
• 4:33
  see
• 4:33
  it
• 4:33
  with
• 4:33
  you.
• 4:33
  We
• 4:33
  don't
• 4:33
  have
• 4:33
  anything
• 4:34
  to
• 4:34
  do.
• 4:34
  So
• 4:34
  we,
• 4:34
  we
• 4:35
  went
• 4:35
  and.
• 4:35
  And
• 4:36
  it
• 4:36
  was
• 4:36
  great.
• 4:36
  And
• 4:36
  some
• 4:36
  of
• 4:36
  the
• 4:37
  trailers
• 4:37
  with
• 4:37
  that
• 4:37
  movie
• 4:38
  were
• 4:38
  pretty
• 4:38
  good
• 4:38
  too.
• 4:38
  And
• 4:39
  I'm
• 4:39
  pretty,
• 4:39
  pretty
• 4:40
  excited
• 4:40
  about
• 4:40
  Mando
• 4:41
  coming
• 4:41
  up
• 4:41
  right
• 4:41
  around
• 4:42
  the
• 4:42
  corner.
• 4:42
  So
• 4:43
  I
• 4:43
  don't
• 4:43
  know
• 4:43
  when
• 4:43
  tickets
• 4:44
  go
• 4:44
  on
• 4:44
  side.
• 4:44
  I
• 4:44
  don't
• 4:44
  know
• 4:45
  when
• 4:45
  ticket
• 4:45
  tickets
• 4:45
  go
• 4:46
  on
• 4:46
  sale,
• 4:46
  but
• 4:46
  I'm
• 4:46
  keeping
• 4:47
  my
• 4:47
  lookout.
• 4:47
  It's
• 4:48
  got
• 4:48
  to
• 4:48
  be
• 4:48
  soon
• 4:48
  because
• 4:49
  we're
• 4:49
  approaching
• 4:49
  one
• 4:49
  month
• 4:50
  away.
• 4:50
  But
• 4:50
  yeah.
• 4:51
  Yep.
• 4:51
  Been
• 4:51
  an
• 4:51
  hour.
• 4:53
  All
• 4:53
  right.
• 4:53
  How
• 4:53
  about
• 4:54
  you?
• 4:54
  Yeah,
• 4:55
  yeah,
• 4:55
  yeah.
• 4:55
  So
• 4:55
  on
• 4:56
  my
• 4:56
  end,
• 4:56
  I
• 4:56
  mean,
• 4:57
  obviously
• 4:57
  Born
• 4:57
  Again
• 4:58
  in
• 4:58
  conjunction
• 4:59
  with
• 4:59
  this
• 4:59
  epis.
• 5:01
  I
• 5:01
  mean,
• 5:01
  everyone
• 5:01
  knows
• 5:01
  how
• 5:02
  much
• 5:02
  I
• 5:02
  love
• 5:02
  Daredevil.
• 5:02
  That's
• 5:03
  why
• 5:03
  I'm
• 5:03
  glad
• 5:03
  to
• 5:03
  be
• 5:03
  here.
• 5:04
  But
• 5:04
  I've
• 5:04
  also
• 5:04
  been
• 5:05
  watching
• 5:05
  the
• 5:05
  Born
• 5:05
  Again
• 5:06
  podcast,
• 5:07
  like
• 5:07
  the
• 5:07
  right
• 5:07
  after
• 5:08
  each
• 5:08
  episode.
• 5:08
  I'm
• 5:09
  really
• 5:09
  enjoying
• 5:09
  that.
• 5:09
  Like,
• 5:10
  I.
• 5:10
  And
• 5:10
  that's
• 5:10
  the
• 5:10
  thing
• 5:11
  now
• 5:11
  the
• 5:11
  trend
• 5:11
  is
• 5:12
  like
• 5:12
  every
• 5:12
  TV
• 5:13
  show
• 5:13
  now
• 5:13
  has
• 5:14
  an
• 5:14
  official
• 5:14
  podcast
• 5:15
  that
• 5:16
  goes
• 5:16
  out
• 5:16
  and
• 5:16
  like,
• 5:16
  it's
• 5:17
  impossible
• 5:17
  to
• 5:17
  keep
• 5:17
  up
• 5:17
  with
• 5:17
  all
• 5:18
  of
• 5:18
  them.
• 5:18
  But
• 5:18
  that
• 5:18
  one
• 5:19
  I've
• 5:19
  really
• 5:19
  been
• 5:19
  enjoying.
• 5:19
  I
• 5:19
  like
• 5:20
  that
• 5:20
  it's
• 5:20
  not
• 5:20
  the
• 5:21
  same
• 5:21
  people
• 5:21
  on
• 5:21
  everyone.
• 5:22
  So
• 5:22
  they
• 5:22
  have
• 5:22
  like
• 5:23
  all.
• 5:23
  They've
• 5:23
  kind
• 5:23
  of
• 5:23
  gone
• 5:24
  through
• 5:24
  all
• 5:24
  the
• 5:25
  cast.
• 5:26
  A
• 5:26
  Darius
• 5:26
  Gardapain,
• 5:27
  the
• 5:27
  executive
• 5:28
  producer,
• 5:28
  another
• 5:28
  producer
• 5:29
  on
• 5:29
  there.
• 5:30
  So
• 5:30
  I
• 5:30
  like
• 5:30
  that
• 5:30
  it's
• 5:31
  a
• 5:31
  good
• 5:31
  variety
• 5:31
  instead
• 5:32
  of
• 5:32
  like
• 5:32
  one
• 5:33
  person
• 5:33
  on
• 5:33
  a
• 5:34
  time
• 5:34
  they've,
• 5:34
  you
• 5:34
  know,
• 5:34
  they've
• 5:35
  had
• 5:35
  Charlie
• 5:35
  Cox
• 5:35
  and
• 5:35
  Vincent
• 5:36
  d',
• 5:36
  Onofrio,
• 5:37
  Deborah
• 5:37
  Wool,
• 5:38
  Michael
• 5:39
  Gandolfini,
• 5:40
  Nikki
• 5:40
  M.
• 5:40
  James.
• 5:41
  So
• 5:41
  like,
• 5:41
  I
• 5:42
  like
• 5:42
  that
• 5:42
  it
• 5:42
  mixes
• 5:43
  it
• 5:43
  up
• 5:43
  and
• 5:43
  you
• 5:43
  get
• 5:44
  different
• 5:44
  perspectives
• 5:45
  from
• 5:45
  the
• 5:46
  cast
• 5:46
  and
• 5:46
  crew.
• 5:47
  So
• 5:47
  I've
• 5:47
  really
• 5:47
  enjoyed
• 5:48
  that.
• 5:48
  But
• 5:48
  yeah,
• 5:48
  nice.
• 5:50
  Andy,
• 5:50
  what
• 5:50
  about
• 5:50
  you?
• 5:51
  Yeah,
• 5:52
  we
• 5:52
  just
• 5:52
  caught
• 5:53
  up
• 5:53
  on
• 5:53
  the
• 5:53
  second
• 5:54
  season
• 5:54
  of
• 5:54
  the
• 5:54
  show,
• 5:55
  Paradise.
• 5:56
  I
• 5:56
  don't
• 5:56
  know
• 5:56
  how
• 5:56
  many
• 5:56
  folks
• 5:59
  have
• 5:59
  watched
• 5:59
  that.
• 6:00
  The
• 6:00
  first
• 6:01
  season
• 6:01
  I
• 6:01
  really
• 6:01
  enjoyed
• 6:02
  kind
• 6:02
  of
• 6:02
  the
• 6:03
  unraveling
• 6:04
  mystery
• 6:04
  and
• 6:04
  the
• 6:05
  sci
• 6:05
  fi
• 6:05
  of
• 6:05
  it
• 6:05
  all.
• 6:06
  The
• 6:07
  second
• 6:07
  season
• 6:08
  I
• 6:08
  was
• 6:08
  less
• 6:08
  in
• 6:09
  on.
• 6:09
  They
• 6:09
  kind
• 6:09
  of
• 6:10
  shifted
• 6:11
  to
• 6:11
  focusing
• 6:11
  on
• 6:11
  a
• 6:12
  bunch
• 6:12
  of
• 6:12
  different
• 6:12
  characters
• 6:12
  primarily,
• 6:14
  and
• 6:15
  I
• 6:15
  wasn't
• 6:15
  that
• 6:15
  into
• 6:15
  it.
• 6:15
  But
• 6:16
  then
• 6:16
  the
• 6:16
  final
• 6:16
  episode,
• 6:17
  man,
• 6:17
  they
• 6:17
  threw
• 6:17
  in
• 6:18
  an
• 6:18
  extra
• 6:18
  layer
• 6:18
  of
• 6:18
  sci
• 6:19
  fi
• 6:19
  premise
• 6:19
  and
• 6:20
  now
• 6:20
  I'm
• 6:21
  hooked
• 6:21
  for
• 6:21
  season
• 6:21
  three.
• 6:22
  I'm
• 6:22
  like,
• 6:22
  why
• 6:22
  couldn't
• 6:22
  that
• 6:22
  have
• 6:23
  been
• 6:23
  more.
• 6:24
  Season
• 6:24
  two
• 6:24
  been
• 6:24
  about
• 6:25
  that.
• 6:25
  And
• 6:25
  instead
• 6:25
  of
• 6:26
  making
• 6:26
  me
• 6:26
  wait
• 6:26
  a
• 6:26
  whole
• 6:26
  other,
• 6:27
  I
• 6:27
  don't
• 6:27
  know,
• 6:27
  year
• 6:27
  two
• 6:28
  years
• 6:28
  with
• 6:28
  how
• 6:28
  TV
• 6:28
  goes
• 6:29
  anymore.
• 6:31
  So
• 6:31
  funny.
• 6:32
  It's
• 6:32
  like
• 6:32
  a
• 6:33
  good
• 6:33
  comic
• 6:33
  book,
• 6:33
  Andy.
• 6:33
  It's
• 6:34
  like
• 6:34
  halfway
• 6:34
  through
• 6:34
  comics
• 6:35
  like,
• 6:35
  do
• 6:35
  I
• 6:35
  really
• 6:35
  want
• 6:35
  to
• 6:35
  keep
• 6:36
  reading
• 6:36
  this?
• 6:36
  And
• 6:36
  then
• 6:36
  they
• 6:37
  get
• 6:37
  me
• 6:37
  on
• 6:37
  the
• 6:37
  final
• 6:37
  page,
• 6:37
  I'm
• 6:38
  like,
• 6:38
  ah,
• 6:38
  I
• 6:38
  got
• 6:39
  to
• 6:39
  see
• 6:39
  what
• 6:39
  happens
• 6:39
  next.
• 6:39
  That's
• 6:40
  when
• 6:40
  I
• 6:40
  think
• 6:40
  I'm
• 6:40
  out.
• 6:40
  They
• 6:41
  pull
• 6:41
  me
• 6:41
  back
• 6:41
  in.
• 6:42
  Yeah,
• 6:42
  that's
• 6:43
  it.
• 6:43
  That's
• 6:43
  it.
• 6:44
  I
• 6:44
  love
• 6:44
  it.
• 6:44
  And
• 6:45
  also
• 6:45
  a
• 6:46
  quick
• 6:46
  shout
• 6:46
  out
• 6:46
  for
• 6:47
  a
• 6:48
  science,
• 6:48
  math
• 6:48
  and
• 6:49
  science
• 6:49
  paper
• 6:49
  that
• 6:50
  came
• 6:50
  out
• 6:51
  about
• 6:52
  building
• 6:53
  element
• 6:54
  all
• 6:54
  elementary
• 6:55
  functions
• 6:55
  from
• 6:55
  a
• 6:56
  single
• 6:56
  operator.
• 6:57
  It's
• 6:58
  a
• 6:58
  really
• 6:58
  cool
• 6:58
  thing.
• 6:58
  So
• 6:59
  it's
• 6:59
  kind
• 6:59
  of
• 6:59
  analogous
• 7:00
  in
• 7:00
  computers.
• 7:01
  You
• 7:02
  can
• 7:02
  do
• 7:02
  all
• 7:02
  logical
• 7:03
  operations
• 7:03
  by
• 7:03
  combinations
• 7:04
  of
• 7:04
  a
• 7:04
  single
• 7:05
  single
• 7:05
  logical
• 7:05
  gate,
• 7:06
  the
• 7:06
  NAND
• 7:06
  gate.
• 7:07
  And
• 7:07
  so
• 7:08
  now
• 7:08
  they've
• 7:08
  found
• 7:08
  a
• 7:08
  way
• 7:09
  to
• 7:09
  build
• 7:10
  basically
• 7:11
  all
• 7:11
  the
• 7:11
  interesting
• 7:12
  mathematical
• 7:12
  functions
• 7:13
  from
• 7:14
  iterations
• 7:14
  of
• 7:15
  a
• 7:15
  single
• 7:15
  mathematical
• 7:16
  function.
• 7:17
  So
• 7:17
  it
• 7:18
  was
• 7:18
  pretty,
• 7:18
  pretty
• 7:18
  cool.
• 7:19
  Unexpected
• 7:19
  result
• 7:19
  and
• 7:20
  could
• 7:20
  be
• 7:21
  interesting
• 7:21
  for
• 7:22
  building
• 7:22
  new
• 7:23
  kinds
• 7:23
  of
• 7:23
  computer
• 7:23
  chips
• 7:24
  or
• 7:24
  other
• 7:24
  kinds
• 7:24
  of
• 7:25
  numerical
• 7:26
  analysis.
• 7:26
  It's
• 7:27
  not
• 7:27
  going
• 7:27
  to
• 7:27
  change
• 7:27
  how
• 7:27
  you
• 7:27
  teach
• 7:27
  math
• 7:28
  in
• 7:28
  third
• 7:28
  grade
• 7:28
  or
• 7:28
  even
• 7:29
  in
• 7:29
  high
• 7:29
  school,
• 7:29
  anything
• 7:29
  like
• 7:30
  that,
• 7:30
  but
• 7:30
  it
• 7:30
  could,
• 7:30
  it
• 7:31
  could
• 7:31
  change
• 7:31
  how
• 7:31
  we
• 7:32
  compute
• 7:32
  math
• 7:33
  in
• 7:33
  interesting
• 7:34
  ways.
• 7:34
  Man,
• 7:35
  I
• 7:35
  like
• 7:35
  Annie.
• 7:36
  Annie
• 7:36
  you
• 7:36
  recommended
• 7:37
  when
• 7:37
  it
• 7:37
  was
• 7:37
  our
• 7:37
  interstellar
• 7:38
  conversation
• 7:39
  about
• 7:40
  the.
• 7:41
  The
• 7:41
  book
• 7:41
  that
• 7:41
  they
• 7:41
  kind
• 7:41
  of
• 7:42
  based
• 7:42
  it
• 7:42
  on.
• 7:42
  Was
• 7:42
  it
• 7:42
  like
• 7:43
  Time
• 7:43
  Warp
• 7:44
  by
• 7:44
  Kip
• 7:44
  Thorne?
• 7:45
  I.
• 7:45
  I
• 7:45
  saw
• 7:46
  that
• 7:46
  in
• 7:46
  your
• 7:46
  sabbatical
• 7:47
  stack.
• 7:48
  Yeah,
• 7:48
  I
• 7:48
  made
• 7:48
  like
• 7:49
  a
• 7:49
  big
• 7:49
  stack
• 7:49
  and
• 7:49
  book
• 7:50
  list
• 7:50
  for
• 7:50
  my
• 7:50
  sabbatical
• 7:51
  this
• 7:51
  summer.
• 7:51
  And
• 7:51
  that
• 7:52
  is.
• 7:52
  It's
• 7:52
  in
• 7:52
  there.
• 7:52
  I
• 7:53
  don't
• 7:53
  know
• 7:53
  if
• 7:53
  it's
• 7:53
  going
• 7:53
  to
• 7:53
  go
• 7:54
  away
• 7:54
  in
• 7:54
  my
• 7:54
  head
• 7:54
  or
• 7:54
  how
• 7:54
  many
• 7:54
  times
• 7:54
  I
• 7:55
  have
• 7:55
  to
• 7:55
  read
• 7:55
  it
• 7:55
  or
• 7:55
  how
• 7:55
  much
• 7:56
  I
• 7:56
  have
• 7:56
  to
• 7:56
  Google
• 7:57
  while
• 7:57
  I'm
• 7:57
  reading
• 7:57
  it,
• 7:58
  but
• 7:58
  I'm
• 7:58
  gonna.
• 7:58
  I'm
• 7:59
  gonna
• 7:59
  give
• 7:59
  it
• 7:59
  a
• 7:59
  shot.
• 8:00
  Excellent.
• 8:01
  I
• 8:01
  love
• 8:01
  it.
• 8:02
  Oh,
• 8:02
  and
• 8:02
  also
• 8:02
  one
• 8:03
  I'll
• 8:03
  throw
• 8:03
  out
• 8:03
  real
• 8:03
  quick
• 8:04
  that
• 8:04
  we
• 8:04
  may
• 8:04
  have
• 8:04
  to
• 8:04
  do
• 8:05
  an
• 8:05
  episode
• 8:05
  on
• 8:05
  if
• 8:05
  I
• 8:05
  can
• 8:05
  find
• 8:06
  out
• 8:06
  which
• 8:06
  other
• 8:06
  hosts
• 8:06
  are
• 8:07
  into
• 8:07
  it.
• 8:07
  But
• 8:07
  I
• 8:08
  just
• 8:08
  finished
• 8:08
  season
• 8:08
  one
• 8:09
  of
• 8:09
  Monarch
• 8:09
  Legacy
• 8:10
  of
• 8:10
  Monsters,
• 8:10
  and
• 8:11
  I'm
• 8:11
  gonna
• 8:11
  get
• 8:11
  a
• 8:11
  season
• 8:12
  two.
• 8:12
  But
• 8:12
  that
• 8:13
  one's.
• 8:13
  If
• 8:13
  you
• 8:13
  like
• 8:13
  the
• 8:14
  Kong
• 8:14
  Godzilla
• 8:15
  movies,
• 8:15
  like
• 8:15
  up
• 8:15
  the
• 8:15
  last
• 8:16
  10
• 8:16
  year,
• 8:16
  like,
• 8:17
  it's
• 8:17
  a
• 8:17
  really
• 8:17
  fun
• 8:17
  series
• 8:18
  and
• 8:18
  like,
• 8:18
  it's.
• 8:19
  It's
• 8:19
  basically
• 8:19
  like
• 8:19
  a
• 8:20
  long
• 8:20
  movie.
• 8:20
  I
• 8:20
  mean,
• 8:20
  it's
• 8:20
  got
• 8:21
  movie
• 8:21
  level
• 8:21
  effects
• 8:22
  there.
• 8:22
  And
• 8:23
  Kurt
• 8:23
  and
• 8:23
  Wyatt
• 8:23
  Russell
• 8:24
  play
• 8:24
  older
• 8:25
  and
• 8:25
  younger
• 8:25
  versions
• 8:25
  of
• 8:26
  the
• 8:26
  same
• 8:26
  character
• 8:26
  in
• 8:27
  different
• 8:27
  timelines.
• 8:27
  So
• 8:28
  it's
• 8:28
  a
• 8:28
  ton
• 8:28
  of
• 8:28
  great.
• 8:28
  The
• 8:29
  rest
• 8:29
  of
• 8:29
  the
• 8:29
  cast
• 8:29
  is
• 8:29
  really
• 8:29
  good
• 8:29
  too.
• 8:30
  That's
• 8:30
  a
• 8:30
  ton
• 8:30
  of
• 8:30
  fun.
• 8:31
  So
• 8:31
  I.
• 8:31
  I
• 8:31
  definitely
• 8:31
  want
• 8:32
  to
• 8:32
  talk
• 8:32
  about
• 8:32
  that
• 8:32
  with
• 8:32
  other
• 8:32
  hosts
• 8:33
  here
• 8:33
  at
• 8:33
  some
• 8:33
  point,
• 8:34
  but,
• 8:34
  yeah,
• 8:34
  cool.
• 8:35
  Awesome.
• 8:35
  Well,
• 8:36
  thank
• 8:37
  you
• 8:37
  all
• 8:37
  for
• 8:37
  being
• 8:37
  here
• 8:37
  tonight
• 8:38
  or
• 8:39
  wherever,
• 8:39
  whenever
• 8:39
  you're
• 8:39
  listening
• 8:40
  to
• 8:40
  this.
• 8:40
  And
• 8:41
  if
• 8:41
  you
• 8:41
  get
• 8:41
  a
• 8:42
  chance,
• 8:42
  please
• 8:42
  rate
• 8:43
  and
• 8:43
  review
• 8:44
  the
• 8:44
  show.
• 8:45
  It
• 8:45
  really
• 8:45
  helps
• 8:45
  us
• 8:45
  out.
• 8:46
  Tell
• 8:46
  your
• 8:47
  friends
• 8:47
  about
• 8:47
  it
• 8:47
  if
• 8:47
  you
• 8:48
  like
• 8:48
  us.
• 8:49
  And
• 8:49
  if
• 8:49
  you
• 8:49
  don't
• 8:49
  like
• 8:50
  us,
• 8:50
  I
• 8:50
  mean,
• 8:51
  you
• 8:51
  know,
• 8:52
  send
• 8:52
  us,
• 8:53
  like,
• 8:53
  direct
• 8:54
  all
• 8:54
  complaints
• 8:54
  to
• 8:55
  Joshua
• 8:55
  Noel,
• 8:56
  you
• 8:57
  know,
• 8:57
  and
• 8:57
  then,
• 8:58
  you
• 8:58
  know,
• 8:59
  we'll
• 8:59
  see.
• 8:59
  We'll
• 9:00
  maybe
• 9:00
  take
• 9:00
  them
• 9:00
  into
• 9:00
  effect
• 9:01
  or
• 9:01
  not.
• 9:01
  But.
• 9:01
  But
• 9:02
  I
• 9:02
  do
• 9:02
  hope
• 9:02
  you
• 9:02
  do
• 9:03
  enjoy
• 9:03
  listening
• 9:03
  to
• 9:03
  us.
• 9:04
  And
• 9:04
  if
• 9:04
  you
• 9:05
  want
• 9:05
  a
• 9:05
  shout
• 9:05
  out
• 9:05
  on
• 9:05
  the
• 9:06
  show,
• 9:07
  you
• 9:07
  find.
• 9:07
  Click
• 9:07
  on
• 9:08
  the
• 9:08
  links
• 9:08
  in
• 9:08
  the
• 9:08
  description
• 9:09
  to
• 9:09
  find
• 9:09
  out
• 9:09
  how
• 9:10
  you
• 9:10
  can
• 9:11
  support
• 9:11
  us.
• 9:11
  And
• 9:12
  tonight
• 9:12
  I
• 9:12
  want
• 9:12
  to
• 9:13
  give
• 9:13
  a
• 9:13
  shout
• 9:13
  out
• 9:14
  to
• 9:14
  Jonathan
• 9:15
  Augustine.
• 9:15
  Thank
• 9:16
  you
• 9:16
  so
• 9:16
  much.
• 9:16
  You
• 9:16
  rock.
• 9:18
  And
• 9:18
  yeah,
• 9:18
  it's
• 9:19
  very
• 9:19
  easy
• 9:19
  to
• 9:19
  become
• 9:19
  a
• 9:20
  supporter
• 9:20
  of
• 9:20
  the
• 9:20
  show
• 9:21
  and
• 9:21
  you
• 9:22
  get
• 9:22
  a
• 9:22
  lot
• 9:22
  of
• 9:22
  perks
• 9:23
  that
• 9:23
  way
• 9:23
  and
• 9:23
  you
• 9:23
  get
• 9:23
  a
• 9:24
  shout
• 9:24
  out
• 9:24
  right
• 9:25
  here.
• 9:25
  So,
• 9:26
  yeah,
• 9:26
  as
• 9:26
  I
• 9:27
  said,
• 9:27
  so
• 9:27
  in
• 9:27
  this
• 9:27
  series,
• 9:29
  what
• 9:29
  we're
• 9:29
  kind
• 9:29
  of
• 9:29
  doing
• 9:30
  with
• 9:30
  the
• 9:30
  faces
• 9:31
  behind
• 9:31
  us
• 9:31
  is
• 9:31
  looking
• 9:32
  at.
• 9:32
  Thinking
• 9:33
  about
• 9:33
  our
• 9:33
  favorite
• 9:33
  characters,
• 9:34
  our
• 9:34
  favorite
• 9:34
  stories,
• 9:35
  and
• 9:35
  looking
• 9:35
  at
• 9:35
  the
• 9:36
  people
• 9:37
  and
• 9:37
  events
• 9:38
  that
• 9:38
  influence
• 9:38
  them
• 9:38
  the
• 9:39
  most.
• 9:40
  And
• 9:40
  so,
• 9:41
  you
• 9:41
  know,
• 9:41
  with
• 9:41
  Daredevil's
• 9:42
  origin,
• 9:42
  we've
• 9:43
  got
• 9:43
  a
• 9:43
  lot
• 9:43
  to
• 9:43
  look
• 9:43
  at,
• 9:44
  but
• 9:45
  one
• 9:45
  kind
• 9:45
  of
• 9:45
  like
• 9:46
  really
• 9:46
  fun
• 9:46
  Easter
• 9:47
  egg
• 9:47
  in
• 9:47
  the
• 9:47
  MCU
• 9:48
  not
• 9:48
  so
• 9:48
  really
• 9:49
  in
• 9:49
  the
• 9:49
  comics
• 9:50
  is
• 9:50
  that
• 9:51
  Iron
• 9:51
  Fist
• 9:53
  has
• 9:53
  a
• 9:54
  connection
• 9:55
  to
• 9:55
  Daredevil's
• 9:56
  origin.
• 9:57
  So,
• 9:57
  you
• 9:58
  know,
• 9:58
  for
• 9:58
  those
• 9:58
  who
• 9:58
  don't
• 9:59
  know,
• 9:59
  Matt
• 9:59
  Murdock
• 10:00
  is
• 10:00
  blinded
• 10:02
  as
• 10:02
  a
• 10:02
  kid
• 10:02
  when
• 10:03
  he
• 10:04
  saves
• 10:04
  someone
• 10:05
  from
• 10:07
  getting
• 10:07
  hit
• 10:07
  by
• 10:07
  a
• 10:07
  truck
• 10:08
  and
• 10:09
  he
• 10:09
  gets
• 10:09
  knocked
• 10:09
  over
• 10:10
  and
• 10:11
  the
• 10:11
  truck
• 10:11
  spills
• 10:12
  out
• 10:12
  a
• 10:12
  vat
• 10:12
  of
• 10:13
  chemicals
• 10:13
  which
• 10:14
  then
• 10:14
  blinds
• 10:14
  him.
• 10:15
  And
• 10:15
  again,
• 10:16
  not
• 10:16
  in
• 10:16
  the
• 10:16
  comics,
• 10:16
  but
• 10:17
  in
• 10:17
  the
• 10:17
  mcu,
• 10:18
  this
• 10:19
  was
• 10:19
  during
• 10:19
  the
• 10:19
  Netflix
• 10:20
  era.
• 10:20
  Now
• 10:21
  those
• 10:21
  shows
• 10:21
  are
• 10:21
  all
• 10:21
  on
• 10:22
  Disney
• 10:22
  plus,
• 10:22
  but
• 10:23
  during
• 10:23
  that
• 10:23
  era,
• 10:24
  the
• 10:25
  chemicals
• 10:25
  and
• 10:26
  the
• 10:26
  truck
• 10:26
  that,
• 10:27
  that
• 10:27
  hits
• 10:27
  Matt
• 10:28
  and
• 10:29
  his
• 10:29
  blindness,
• 10:30
  the.
• 10:30
  That
• 10:31
  truck
• 10:31
  comes
• 10:31
  from
• 10:32
  Rand
• 10:33
  Enterprises,
• 10:34
  which
• 10:34
  is
• 10:34
  the
• 10:34
  company
• 10:35
  from.
• 10:36
  Of
• 10:36
  Danny
• 10:36
  Rand,
• 10:37
  who
• 10:37
  becomes
• 10:38
  Iron
• 10:38
  Fist.
• 10:39
  So
• 10:39
  we're
• 10:40
  going
• 10:40
  to
• 10:40
  be
• 10:40
  looking
• 10:40
  at
• 10:40
  that
• 10:41
  for
• 10:41
  this
• 10:42
  episode.
• 10:42
  And
• 10:42
  also,
• 10:43
  I
• 10:43
  think,
• 10:44
  you
• 10:44
  know,
• 10:44
  we
• 10:44
  were
• 10:44
  talking
• 10:45
  about
• 10:45
  this
• 10:46
  with
• 10:46
  our
• 10:46
  host
• 10:46
  right
• 10:47
  before
• 10:48
  looking
• 10:48
  at
• 10:48
  also
• 10:49
  kind
• 10:49
  of
• 10:49
  the
• 10:49
  characters
• 10:50
  that
• 10:50
  are
• 10:50
  essential
• 10:51
  to
• 10:51
  Daredevil's
• 10:52
  origin.
• 10:52
  So
• 10:53
  stick.
• 10:54
  And
• 10:54
  then
• 10:55
  really,
• 10:55
  you
• 10:55
  know,
• 10:56
  his
• 10:56
  Catholic
• 10:56
  upbringing.
• 10:57
  There's
• 10:58
  a
• 10:58
  lot
• 10:58
  there
• 10:58
  to
• 10:58
  explore,
• 10:58
  so
• 10:59
  we're
• 10:59
  going
• 10:59
  to
• 10:59
  touch
• 10:59
  on
• 10:59
  other
• 10:59
  things
• 11:00
  as
• 11:00
  well.
• 11:00
  But
• 11:01
  I'm
• 11:01
  really
• 11:01
  excited
• 11:02
  for
• 11:02
  this.
• 11:02
  I
• 11:02
  mean,
• 11:02
  anyone
• 11:03
  who
• 11:03
  knows
• 11:03
  me
• 11:04
  knows
• 11:04
  I'm
• 11:04
  a
• 11:04
  big
• 11:05
  fan
• 11:05
  of
• 11:05
  the
• 11:05
  character
• 11:06
  both
• 11:06
  from
• 11:06
  the
• 11:06
  comics
• 11:07
  and
• 11:07
  then
• 11:08
  both
• 11:08
  iterations
• 11:09
  of
• 11:09
  the
• 11:09
  TV
• 11:09
  show
• 11:09
  from
• 11:10
  the
• 11:10
  Netflix
• 11:10
  era
• 11:11
  to
• 11:12
  the
• 11:13
  current
• 11:14
  Disney
• 11:14
  plus
• 11:15
  run
• 11:15
  with
• 11:16
  Born
• 11:16
  Again.
• 11:16
  But
• 11:17
  let's
• 11:18
  just
• 11:18
  go
• 11:18
  around
• 11:18
  what.
• 11:19
  So,
• 11:19
  Jill,
• 11:20
  we'll
• 11:20
  start
• 11:20
  with
• 11:20
  you.
• 11:20
  What's
• 11:21
  kind
• 11:21
  of
• 11:21
  your
• 11:21
  background
• 11:22
  with
• 11:22
  Daredevil?
• 11:23
  Be
• 11:23
  it
• 11:23
  in
• 11:24
  comics
• 11:24
  and
• 11:24
  tv,
• 11:26
  it's
• 11:26
  kind
• 11:26
  of
• 11:26
  your
• 11:26
  background
• 11:27
  of
• 11:27
  the
• 11:27
  character.
• 11:28
  First
• 11:28
  experience
• 11:29
  with
• 11:29
  Daredevil
• 11:30
  was
• 11:30
  that
• 11:30
  Netflix
• 11:31
  series,
• 11:31
  the
• 11:31
  first
• 11:32
  one?
• 11:32
  Well,
• 11:32
  no,
• 11:33
  my
• 11:33
  first
• 11:33
  experience
• 11:34
  was
• 11:35
  Ben
• 11:35
  Affleck
• 11:36
  as
• 11:36
  Daredevil
• 11:38
  in
• 11:39
  the
• 11:39
  movie.
• 11:40
  And
• 11:41
  I
• 11:41
  loved
• 11:42
  it,
• 11:42
  which
• 11:42
  is
• 11:43
  not
• 11:43
  a
• 11:43
  popular
• 11:43
  opinion,
• 11:44
  but
• 11:44
  I
• 11:45
  was
• 11:45
  young
• 11:45
  and
• 11:46
  it
• 11:46
  was
• 11:46
  great.
• 11:46
  And
• 11:47
  then
• 11:47
  when
• 11:47
  the
• 11:47
  TV
• 11:47
  show
• 11:48
  came
• 11:48
  out,
• 11:48
  the
• 11:48
  Netflix
• 11:49
  show,
• 11:49
  I
• 11:49
  was
• 11:50
  really
• 11:50
  excited
• 11:50
  to
• 11:51
  explore
• 11:51
  Daredevil
• 11:53
  a
• 11:53
  little
• 11:53
  deeper.
• 11:54
  And
• 11:55
  I
• 11:55
  actually
• 11:56
  haven't
• 11:56
  read
• 11:56
  a
• 11:56
  ton
• 11:56
  of
• 11:57
  the
• 11:57
  comics.
• 11:57
  I
• 11:57
  just
• 11:58
  know
• 11:58
  him
• 11:58
  from
• 11:59
  the
• 11:59
  TV
• 11:59
  show
• 11:59
  and
• 12:00
  then
• 12:00
  mcu
• 12:01
  and
• 12:01
  he
• 12:01
  is
• 12:02
  one
• 12:02
  of
• 12:02
  my
• 12:02
  favorite
• 12:02
  characters.
• 12:03
  Oh,
• 12:03
  he's
• 12:03
  the
• 12:04
  best.
• 12:04
  I,
• 12:04
  I.
• 12:05
  And
• 12:05
  yeah,
• 12:05
  I
• 12:05
  mean,
• 12:06
  the,
• 12:06
  the
• 12:06
  Ben
• 12:06
  Affleck
• 12:07
  movie
• 12:07
  I
• 12:07
  also
• 12:07
  saw
• 12:08
  like
• 12:08
  when
• 12:08
  I
• 12:09
  was
• 12:09
  younger
• 12:09
  too.
• 12:09
  So
• 12:10
  I
• 12:10
  think
• 12:10
  I
• 12:10
  liked
• 12:10
  it
• 12:10
  more
• 12:10
  than
• 12:11
  as
• 12:11
  well.
• 12:11
  I
• 12:11
  mean,
• 12:11
  like,
• 12:12
  yeah,
• 12:12
  if
• 12:12
  you
• 12:12
  watch
• 12:13
  it
• 12:13
  now,
• 12:13
  probably
• 12:14
  hasn't
• 12:14
  aged
• 12:14
  as
• 12:15
  well,
• 12:15
  but
• 12:16
  I
• 12:16
  mean,
• 12:16
  at
• 12:17
  the
• 12:17
  time,
• 12:17
  hey,
• 12:18
  it
• 12:18
  kind
• 12:18
  of
• 12:18
  fit.
• 12:19
  I
• 12:19
  mean,
• 12:19
  that
• 12:19
  and
• 12:19
  the
• 12:19
  Thomas
• 12:20
  Jane
• 12:20
  Punisher
• 12:20
  and
• 12:21
  some
• 12:21
  of
• 12:21
  those,
• 12:21
  like,
• 12:22
  they
• 12:22
  were,
• 12:22
  yeah,
• 12:22
  they're
• 12:22
  of
• 12:23
  their
• 12:23
  time,
• 12:23
  but
• 12:23
  they,
• 12:24
  they
• 12:24
  were
• 12:24
  fun
• 12:24
  back
• 12:25
  then.
• 12:25
  Yeah,
• 12:26
  very.
• 12:27
  Yeah.
• 12:28
  Awesome.
• 12:28
  Well,
• 12:29
  what
• 12:29
  about
• 12:29
  you?
• 12:30
  Yeah,
• 12:31
  I'm,
• 12:31
  I
• 12:31
  was
• 12:32
  a
• 12:32
  Marvel
• 12:32
  geek,
• 12:32
  Marvel
• 12:33
  head
• 12:33
  as
• 12:33
  a
• 12:34
  kid.
• 12:34
  And
• 12:34
  so
• 12:34
  when
• 12:34
  I
• 12:34
  was
• 12:35
  grabbing
• 12:36
  X
• 12:36
  Men
• 12:36
  comics
• 12:37
  and
• 12:37
  Avengers
• 12:37
  comics
• 12:38
  and
• 12:39
  I
• 12:39
  never
• 12:39
  grabbed
• 12:40
  Daredevil
• 12:41
  comics,
• 12:41
  but
• 12:41
  he
• 12:42
  was
• 12:42
  always,
• 12:43
  he
• 12:44
  was
• 12:44
  always
• 12:44
  great
• 12:44
  when
• 12:44
  he
• 12:44
  showed
• 12:45
  up
• 12:45
  as
• 12:45
  a
• 12:45
  cameo
• 12:45
  like
• 12:45
  a
• 12:46
  Spider
• 12:46
  man
• 12:46
  or
• 12:46
  the
• 12:47
  Avengers
• 12:47
  or
• 12:47
  X
• 12:48
  Men
• 12:48
  or
• 12:48
  whatever.
• 12:48
  And
• 12:49
  so
• 12:49
  I
• 12:49
  really,
• 12:50
  of
• 12:50
  course,
• 12:51
  liked
• 12:51
  him.
• 12:51
  Thought
• 12:51
  it
• 12:51
  was
• 12:51
  a
• 12:52
  neat,
• 12:52
  neat
• 12:52
  hero.
• 12:52
  And
• 12:53
  then
• 12:53
  of
• 12:53
  course,
• 12:53
  all
• 12:53
  the
• 12:54
  cartoons
• 12:54
  that
• 12:54
  were
• 12:54
  coming
• 12:54
  out
• 12:55
  when
• 12:55
  he'd
• 12:55
  ever
• 12:55
  make
• 12:55
  a
• 12:56
  cameo
• 12:57
  and
• 12:58
  was
• 12:58
  a
• 12:58
  fan
• 12:59
  in
• 12:59
  that
• 12:59
  way,
• 13:00
  so
• 13:00
  wasn't
• 13:01
  necessarily
• 13:01
  a
• 13:01
  collector.
• 13:01
  But
• 13:02
  I
• 13:02
  will
• 13:02
  say
• 13:02
  that
• 13:02
  when
• 13:03
  I
• 13:03
  started
• 13:04
  my
• 13:04
  kind
• 13:05
  of
• 13:05
  second
• 13:05
  or
• 13:05
  third
• 13:06
  era
• 13:06
  of
• 13:06
  collecting
• 13:07
  comics
• 13:07
  in
• 13:07
  the
• 13:07
  early
• 13:08
  2000s
• 13:09
  is,
• 13:10
  I
• 13:10
  guess
• 13:10
  when
• 13:10
  that.
• 13:10
  That
• 13:11
  Ben
• 13:12
  Affleck
• 13:12
  movie
• 13:12
  came
• 13:12
  out.
• 13:13
  Right.
• 13:13
  Didn't
• 13:13
  it
• 13:13
  come
• 13:14
  around
• 13:14
  there?
• 13:14
  Or
• 13:15
  they
• 13:15
  were.
• 13:16
  They
• 13:16
  were
• 13:16
  chasing
• 13:17
  2,000.
• 13:18
  Yeah,
• 13:18
  they're
• 13:18
  chasing
• 13:18
  superhero
• 13:19
  money.
• 13:19
  After
• 13:19
  the
• 13:20
  Spider
• 13:20
  man
• 13:20
  movies
• 13:20
  were
• 13:21
  doing
• 13:21
  great,
• 13:21
  and
• 13:21
  there
• 13:21
  was
• 13:22
  not
• 13:22
  the
• 13:22
  kind
• 13:22
  of
• 13:23
  the
• 13:23
  Sony
• 13:23
  verse,
• 13:23
  not
• 13:23
  necessarily
• 13:24
  the
• 13:25
  mcu.
• 13:26
  But
• 13:26
  I
• 13:26
  started
• 13:26
  collecting
• 13:27
  comics
• 13:27
  again.
• 13:27
  I
• 13:27
  remember
• 13:27
  that
• 13:28
  movie
• 13:28
  came
• 13:28
  out,
• 13:28
  and
• 13:28
  I
• 13:28
  remember
• 13:28
  grabbing
• 13:29
  some
• 13:29
  comics
• 13:29
  and
• 13:30
  exploring
• 13:31
  what
• 13:31
  were
• 13:31
  kind
• 13:32
  of
• 13:32
  the
• 13:32
  legendary
• 13:32
  runs
• 13:33
  of
• 13:33
  Daredevil.
• 13:34
  So
• 13:34
  you
• 13:34
  had
• 13:34
  the
• 13:34
  Frank
• 13:34
  Miller
• 13:35
  and
• 13:35
  all
• 13:35
  those
• 13:35
  kinds
• 13:35
  of
• 13:35
  things,
• 13:36
  and
• 13:36
  so
• 13:36
  went
• 13:37
  back
• 13:37
  and
• 13:38
  consumed
• 13:39
  all
• 13:39
  that.
• 13:39
  But,
• 13:40
  yeah,
• 13:40
  he's
• 13:40
  Up
• 13:40
  There.
• 13:41
  He's
• 13:41
  Up
• 13:41
  There
• 13:41
  is
• 13:41
  one
• 13:42
  of
• 13:42
  my
• 13:42
  favorites.
• 13:42
  And
• 13:43
  I
• 13:43
  think
• 13:43
  the
• 13:43
  show
• 13:44
  and
• 13:44
  way
• 13:44
  he's
• 13:45
  been
• 13:45
  portrayed,
• 13:46
  not
• 13:46
  just
• 13:46
  the
• 13:46
  Netflix
• 13:48
  but
• 13:49
  the
• 13:49
  Disney
• 13:49
  plus
• 13:50
  re
• 13:50
  MCU
• 13:51
  version
• 13:51
  of
• 13:51
  Of
• 13:51
  Time
• 13:52
  Back
• 13:52
  in,
• 13:52
  is
• 13:53
  pretty
• 13:53
  smart.
• 13:53
  And
• 13:53
  I.
• 13:53
  And
• 13:53
  I
• 13:54
  like
• 13:54
  how
• 13:54
  he's
• 13:54
  done.
• 13:55
  He's
• 13:55
  a.
• 13:55
  He's
• 13:55
  a
• 13:55
  great
• 13:55
  character.
• 13:56
  So,
• 13:56
  yeah,
• 13:56
  I'm
• 13:57
  a
• 13:57
  fan.
• 13:57
  I
• 13:57
  also,
• 13:58
  I.
• 13:58
  I
• 13:58
  did
• 13:59
  have
• 13:59
  the
• 13:59
  Ben
• 13:59
  Affleck
• 14:00
  Daredevil
• 14:00
  action
• 14:00
  figure
• 14:01
  when
• 14:01
  I
• 14:01
  was
• 14:01
  a
• 14:01
  kid
• 14:01
  too.
• 14:01
  So
• 14:02
  that
• 14:02
  was.
• 14:02
  Yeah,
• 14:03
  it
• 14:03
  was.
• 14:03
  Again,
• 14:04
  that
• 14:04
  was
• 14:04
  there.
• 14:05
  So,
• 14:05
  yeah.
• 14:05
  Andy,
• 14:06
  what
• 14:06
  about
• 14:06
  you?
• 14:06
  I
• 14:07
  know
• 14:07
  also
• 14:07
  you
• 14:08
  have
• 14:08
  a
• 14:08
  big
• 14:08
  comics
• 14:08
  background.
• 14:09
  Yeah,
• 14:09
  I
• 14:09
  think
• 14:10
  one
• 14:10
  of
• 14:10
  the
• 14:10
  very
• 14:10
  first,
• 14:10
  if
• 14:11
  not
• 14:11
  the
• 14:11
  first
• 14:12
  single
• 14:12
  issue
• 14:12
  comics
• 14:13
  that
• 14:13
  I
• 14:13
  bought
• 14:13
  for
• 14:13
  myself
• 14:13
  was
• 14:14
  a
• 14:14
  random
• 14:14
  issue
• 14:15
  of
• 14:15
  Daredevil,
• 14:16
  you
• 14:16
  know,
• 14:17
  300
• 14:17
  and
• 14:17
  something
• 14:18
  with
• 14:18
  the
• 14:18
  owl.
• 14:19
  You
• 14:19
  know,
• 14:20
  it
• 14:20
  was
• 14:20
  probably
• 14:20
  part
• 14:20
  three
• 14:21
  of
• 14:21
  five
• 14:21
  of
• 14:21
  some
• 14:21
  ongoing
• 14:22
  storyline
• 14:23
  or
• 14:23
  whatever.
• 14:23
  You
• 14:24
  know,
• 14:24
  I
• 14:24
  only
• 14:24
  kind
• 14:24
  of
• 14:24
  understood
• 14:25
  what
• 14:25
  I
• 14:25
  was.
• 14:25
  What
• 14:25
  I
• 14:26
  was
• 14:26
  looking
• 14:26
  at.
• 14:27
  But,
• 14:27
  yeah,
• 14:27
  that
• 14:27
  was.
• 14:28
  That
• 14:28
  was
• 14:28
  an
• 14:28
  early
• 14:28
  introduction.
• 14:28
  Didn't.
• 14:29
  Didn't
• 14:29
  stick
• 14:30
  with
• 14:30
  the
• 14:31
  character
• 14:31
  for
• 14:31
  too
• 14:31
  much.
• 14:32
  Then
• 14:32
  there
• 14:32
  were
• 14:32
  a
• 14:33
  lot
• 14:33
  of
• 14:33
  X
• 14:33
  Men
• 14:33
  comics
• 14:33
  in
• 14:33
  the
• 14:34
  90s,
• 14:34
  and
• 14:34
  I
• 14:34
  had,
• 14:35
  you
• 14:35
  know,
• 14:35
  a
• 14:35
  teenager's
• 14:36
  source
• 14:37
  of
• 14:37
  income.
• 14:37
  So.
• 14:39
  But,
• 14:39
  you
• 14:39
  know,
• 14:40
  he
• 14:40
  was.
• 14:40
  He
• 14:40
  was
• 14:40
  an
• 14:41
  intriguing
• 14:41
  character.
• 14:41
  And
• 14:42
  then,
• 14:42
  you
• 14:42
  know,
• 14:43
  since
• 14:44
  more
• 14:44
  recently
• 14:44
  kind
• 14:45
  of
• 14:45
  gone
• 14:45
  back,
• 14:45
  you
• 14:45
  know,
• 14:46
  everybody
• 14:46
  talks
• 14:46
  about,
• 14:47
  oh,
• 14:47
  this.
• 14:47
  This
• 14:47
  run
• 14:47
  on
• 14:48
  Daredevil
• 14:48
  is
• 14:49
  legendary
• 14:49
  and
• 14:49
  this
• 14:49
  run
• 14:49
  in
• 14:50
  Daredevil
• 14:50
  is
• 14:50
  legendary
• 14:50
  and
• 14:51
  so
• 14:51
  forth.
• 14:51
  And
• 14:51
  so
• 14:52
  probably
• 14:52
  read
• 14:52
  Most
• 14:53
  of
• 14:53
  the
• 14:53
  21st
• 14:54
  century
• 14:54
  Daredevil
• 14:55
  comics
• 14:56
  just
• 14:56
  because,
• 14:56
  you
• 14:57
  know,
• 14:57
  all
• 14:57
  of
• 14:57
  them
• 14:57
  just
• 14:57
  kind
• 14:58
  of
• 14:58
  get
• 14:58
  recommended
• 14:58
  as,
• 14:59
  oh,
• 14:59
  this
• 14:59
  is,
• 14:59
  you
• 14:59
  know,
• 15:00
  an
• 15:00
  important
• 15:00
  one.
• 15:02
  Especially,
• 15:02
  you
• 15:02
  know,
• 15:02
  I
• 15:03
  think
• 15:03
  for
• 15:03
  me,
• 15:03
  the
• 15:03
  standout
• 15:04
  is
• 15:04
  the
• 15:04
  Mark
• 15:04
  Waid
• 15:05
  and
• 15:05
  Chris
• 15:05
  Stamney
• 15:06
  run.
• 15:07
  I
• 15:07
  love
• 15:07
  that
• 15:08
  one.
• 15:08
  But
• 15:08
  there
• 15:08
  are,
• 15:09
  you
• 15:09
  know,
• 15:09
  Lots
• 15:09
  of,
• 15:10
  lots
• 15:10
  of
• 15:10
  good
• 15:10
  Daredevil
• 15:11
  comics
• 15:11
  over
• 15:11
  the
• 15:12
  years
• 15:12
  from
• 15:12
  a
• 15:12
  bunch
• 15:12
  of
• 15:12
  different
• 15:12
  creators.
• 15:13
  And
• 15:14
  then,
• 15:14
  yeah,
• 15:14
  you
• 15:15
  know,
• 15:15
  I
• 15:15
  watched
• 15:15
  the.
• 15:16
  I
• 15:16
  watched
• 15:16
  the
• 15:16
  show
• 15:17
  for
• 15:17
  a
• 15:17
  while
• 15:17
  when
• 15:17
  it
• 15:17
  came
• 15:18
  out,
• 15:18
  the
• 15:18
  Netflix
• 15:18
  show
• 15:20
  fell
• 15:20
  off
• 15:20
  of
• 15:20
  it
• 15:20
  a
• 15:21
  little
• 15:21
  bit,
• 15:21
  went
• 15:22
  back
• 15:22
  to
• 15:22
  and
• 15:23
  picked
• 15:23
  up
• 15:23
  the
• 15:23
  rest
• 15:23
  of
• 15:23
  it
• 15:24
  before
• 15:24
  Born
• 15:25
  Again.
• 15:25
  And
• 15:25
  then
• 15:25
  I've
• 15:25
  been
• 15:26
  following
• 15:26
  along
• 15:26
  with
• 15:27
  that.
• 15:27
  And
• 15:28
  the,
• 15:28
  the
• 15:29
  director's
• 15:29
  cut
• 15:29
  of
• 15:30
  the.
• 15:30
  The
• 15:30
  Affleck
• 15:31
  Fox
• 15:31
  movie
• 15:32
  is
• 15:33
  definitely,
• 15:33
  if
• 15:34
  you
• 15:34
  going
• 15:34
  to
• 15:34
  give
• 15:34
  it
• 15:35
  a
• 15:35
  try,
• 15:35
  see
• 15:36
  if
• 15:36
  you
• 15:36
  can
• 15:36
  watch
• 15:36
  the
• 15:36
  director's
• 15:37
  cut
• 15:37
  because
• 15:37
  it
• 15:37
  is.
• 15:37
  It
• 15:38
  is
• 15:38
  better
• 15:38
  and
• 15:38
  gives
• 15:38
  more
• 15:38
  attention
• 15:39
  to
• 15:39
  Matt
• 15:39
  as.
• 15:40
  And
• 15:41
  Coolio
• 15:42
  gets
• 15:43
  a
• 15:43
  extended
• 15:44
  appearance,
• 15:45
  placing
• 15:45
  it
• 15:46
  very
• 15:46
  firmly
• 15:46
  in
• 15:47
  timeline.
• 15:48
  It
• 15:48
  is,
• 15:48
  right?
• 15:48
  Yeah,
• 15:49
  no,
• 15:49
  that
• 15:49
  one's.
• 15:49
  And,
• 15:50
  well,
• 15:50
  I
• 15:50
  also
• 15:51
  was
• 15:51
  listening
• 15:51
  to
• 15:51
  a
• 15:52
  podcast
• 15:52
  about
• 15:53
  a
• 15:53
  week
• 15:53
  ago
• 15:53
  with
• 15:53
  Drew
• 15:53
  Goddard,
• 15:54
  who's
• 15:54
  the
• 15:55
  longtime
• 15:56
  screenwriter,
• 15:56
  and
• 15:57
  like,
• 15:57
  he
• 15:57
  wrote
• 15:58
  the
• 15:58
  screenplays
• 15:58
  for
• 15:59
  project
• 15:59
  Hail
• 16:00
  Mary
• 16:00
  and
• 16:00
  the
• 16:00
  Martian,
• 16:00
  but
• 16:01
  he
• 16:01
  developed
• 16:02
  the
• 16:02
  Netflix
• 16:03
  show
• 16:04
  and
• 16:04
  originally
• 16:05
  he
• 16:05
  pitched
• 16:05
  it
• 16:05
  as
• 16:05
  a
• 16:05
  movie.
• 16:06
  So,
• 16:06
  like,
• 16:06
  he
• 16:06
  was
• 16:07
  a.
• 16:07
  He
• 16:07
  was
• 16:07
  talking
• 16:08
  about
• 16:08
  the
• 16:08
  origins
• 16:08
  of
• 16:09
  it
• 16:09
  there.
• 16:10
  But
• 16:10
  yeah,
• 16:10
  so.
• 16:11
  And
• 16:11
  I,
• 16:12
  I
• 16:12
  think
• 16:12
  for
• 16:12
  me,
• 16:13
  one
• 16:13
  of
• 16:13
  the
• 16:13
  things
• 16:14
  I
• 16:14
  love
• 16:14
  about
• 16:14
  Daredevil
• 16:15
  the
• 16:15
  most
• 16:15
  is
• 16:15
  really
• 16:15
  there's.
• 16:16
  To
• 16:16
  me,
• 16:17
  there's
• 16:17
  three
• 16:17
  main
• 16:17
  layers
• 16:18
  to
• 16:18
  his
• 16:18
  character
• 16:19
  beyond
• 16:19
  the.
• 16:19
  I'm
• 16:20
  not
• 16:20
  even
• 16:20
  talking
• 16:20
  just
• 16:20
  the
• 16:21
  vigilante
• 16:22
  superhero
• 16:22
  aspect,
• 16:22
  but
• 16:23
  three
• 16:23
  kind
• 16:23
  of
• 16:24
  aspects
• 16:24
  of
• 16:24
  Matt
• 16:24
  Murdock
• 16:25
  to
• 16:25
  make
• 16:25
  him
• 16:25
  central
• 16:25
  to
• 16:26
  who
• 16:26
  he
• 16:26
  is.
• 16:26
  There's
• 16:26
  the
• 16:26
  disability
• 16:27
  element,
• 16:27
  where,
• 16:28
  again,
• 16:28
  he's
• 16:28
  blinded
• 16:29
  as
• 16:29
  a
• 16:29
  kid.
• 16:30
  There's
• 16:30
  the
• 16:30
  Catholicism,
• 16:31
  which
• 16:31
  is
• 16:31
  very
• 16:32
  central
• 16:32
  to
• 16:33
  his
• 16:33
  character
• 16:34
  and
• 16:34
  a
• 16:34
  big
• 16:34
  source
• 16:35
  of
• 16:35
  motivation
• 16:35
  for
• 16:36
  why
• 16:36
  he
• 16:36
  wants
• 16:37
  to
• 16:37
  go
• 16:38
  and
• 16:38
  fight
• 16:38
  crime.
• 16:38
  And
• 16:39
  then
• 16:39
  the
• 16:39
  lawyer
• 16:39
  element
• 16:40
  is
• 16:40
  like,
• 16:40
  you
• 16:40
  know,
• 16:40
  he's
• 16:41
  trying
• 16:41
  to
• 16:41
  bridge
• 16:42
  both
• 16:42
  sides
• 16:43
  of,
• 16:43
  you
• 16:43
  know,
• 16:44
  like,
• 16:44
  abiding
• 16:45
  by
• 16:45
  the
• 16:45
  law
• 16:45
  during
• 16:46
  the
• 16:46
  day
• 16:46
  and
• 16:46
  then
• 16:47
  literally
• 16:47
  breaking
• 16:47
  it
• 16:48
  at
• 16:48
  night
• 16:48
  to
• 16:48
  enact
• 16:49
  his
• 16:49
  own
• 16:49
  form
• 16:49
  of
• 16:49
  justice.
• 16:50
  And
• 16:50
  I
• 16:50
  find
• 16:51
  all
• 16:51
  of
• 16:51
  those
• 16:51
  elements
• 16:52
  fascinating.
• 16:52
  And
• 16:53
  Andy,
• 16:53
  like
• 16:53
  you
• 16:53
  were
• 16:54
  saying,
• 16:54
  I
• 16:54
  think
• 16:54
  the
• 16:54
  reason
• 16:55
  that
• 16:55
  there
• 16:55
  are
• 16:55
  so
• 16:56
  many
• 16:56
  great
• 16:56
  runs
• 16:56
  of
• 16:57
  this
• 16:57
  character
• 16:57
  is
• 16:58
  different
• 16:58
  writers
• 16:59
  kind
• 16:59
  of
• 16:59
  add
• 16:59
  their
• 17:00
  own
• 17:00
  flair
• 17:00
  to
• 17:01
  the
• 17:01
  character
• 17:01
  and
• 17:01
  add
• 17:01
  their
• 17:01
  own
• 17:02
  identity.
• 17:02
  So,
• 17:02
  like
• 17:03
  the
• 17:03
  Mark
• 17:03
  Wade
• 17:03
  run,
• 17:04
  which
• 17:04
  I
• 17:04
  love
• 17:05
  is
• 17:05
  a
• 17:05
  little.
• 17:06
  Has
• 17:06
  more
• 17:06
  levity
• 17:07
  to
• 17:07
  it
• 17:07
  than
• 17:08
  some
• 17:08
  of
• 17:08
  the
• 17:08
  others
• 17:08
  and
• 17:10
  really
• 17:10
  great
• 17:10
  storytelling
• 17:11
  there.
• 17:11
  I
• 17:12
  think
• 17:12
  the
• 17:12
  Charles
• 17:12
  Soule
• 17:13
  one
• 17:13
  brings
• 17:14
  a
• 17:14
  lot
• 17:14
  of
• 17:14
  Soul's
• 17:15
  background
• 17:15
  as
• 17:15
  an
• 17:16
  attorney,
• 17:16
  and
• 17:16
  he's
• 17:17
  able
• 17:17
  to
• 17:17
  bring
• 17:17
  that
• 17:17
  into
• 17:17
  it.
• 17:18
  And.
• 17:18
  And
• 17:19
  that
• 17:19
  run
• 17:19
  was
• 17:19
  this
• 17:20
  big
• 17:20
  source
• 17:20
  of
• 17:20
  inspiration
• 17:21
  for
• 17:21
  the
• 17:21
  Born
• 17:22
  Again
• 17:22
  series.
• 17:23
  And
• 17:23
  then
• 17:23
  ones
• 17:23
  like
• 17:24
  Chip
• 17:24
  Zdarsky
• 17:25
  incorporates
• 17:26
  a
• 17:26
  lot
• 17:26
  more
• 17:26
  of
• 17:27
  the
• 17:27
  Catholicism
• 17:27
  elements
• 17:28
  into
• 17:28
  it.
• 17:29
  So
• 17:29
  I
• 17:29
  just,
• 17:29
  you
• 17:29
  know,
• 17:30
  he's
• 17:30
  such
• 17:30
  a
• 17:30
  fascinating
• 17:31
  character
• 17:31
  that
• 17:31
  you
• 17:31
  can
• 17:32
  really
• 17:33
  take
• 17:33
  him
• 17:33
  in
• 17:33
  different
• 17:33
  directions
• 17:34
  and
• 17:35
  focus
• 17:35
  on
• 17:35
  different
• 17:35
  themes.
• 17:36
  So.
• 17:37
  So
• 17:37
  yeah,
• 17:37
  looking
• 17:37
  at
• 17:37
  his
• 17:38
  origin.
• 17:38
  Well,
• 17:39
  first,
• 17:39
  is
• 17:39
  anyone
• 17:40
  want.
• 17:40
  Because
• 17:40
  you
• 17:40
  know,
• 17:41
  we
• 17:41
  were
• 17:41
  talking
• 17:41
  about
• 17:41
  this.
• 17:41
  The.
• 17:42
  The
• 17:42
  Iron
• 17:42
  Fist
• 17:43
  connection
• 17:44
  with
• 17:45
  that
• 17:45
  again
• 17:46
  is
• 17:46
  specifically
• 17:47
  in
• 17:47
  the
• 17:47
  mcu,
• 17:48
  not
• 17:48
  in
• 17:48
  the
• 17:48
  comics.
• 17:49
  But
• 17:50
  now
• 17:50
  admittedly,
• 17:51
  I
• 17:51
  did
• 17:52
  not
• 17:52
  watch
• 17:52
  a
• 17:52
  lot
• 17:52
  of
• 17:53
  Iron
• 17:53
  Fist.
• 17:53
  I'm
• 17:53
  sorry
• 17:54
  to
• 17:54
  Finn
• 17:55
  Jones
• 17:55
  and
• 17:55
  company,
• 17:55
  but
• 17:56
  it
• 17:56
  wasn't
• 17:57
  really
• 17:57
  my
• 17:57
  favorite
• 17:58
  of
• 17:58
  the.
• 17:58
  I
• 17:58
  did
• 17:59
  watch
• 17:59
  Defenders,
• 17:59
  so
• 18:00
  I
• 18:00
  saw.
• 18:01
  But
• 18:01
  does
• 18:01
  anyone
• 18:01
  want
• 18:01
  to
• 18:02
  add
• 18:02
  anything
• 18:02
  to
• 18:03
  that
• 18:03
  aspect
• 18:04
  of
• 18:04
  how.
• 18:05
  What
• 18:05
  Rand
• 18:05
  Enterprises
• 18:06
  is.
• 18:07
  And
• 18:08
  again,
• 18:08
  you
• 18:08
  know
• 18:09
  how
• 18:09
  that
• 18:09
  relates
• 18:09
  to
• 18:10
  Matt's
• 18:11
  accident
• 18:11
  that
• 18:11
  anyone
• 18:12
  wants
• 18:12
  to
• 18:12
  add
• 18:12
  to
• 18:12
  that?
• 18:13
  I
• 18:13
  just
• 18:13
  hear
• 18:14
  that
• 18:14
  I
• 18:14
  like
• 18:14
  Iron
• 18:14
  Fist
• 18:15
  as
• 18:15
  a.
• 18:15
  As
• 18:15
  a
• 18:15
  character
• 18:16
  in
• 18:16
  the
• 18:16
  comics.
• 18:16
  Like
• 18:17
  the
• 18:17
  whole
• 18:17
  run
• 18:17
  with
• 18:17
  him
• 18:18
  and
• 18:18
  Luke
• 18:18
  Cage
• 18:19
  as
• 18:19
  heroes
• 18:19
  for
• 18:20
  hire
• 18:20
  and
• 18:20
  having
• 18:20
  their.
• 18:21
  Their
• 18:21
  kind
• 18:21
  of
• 18:21
  team
• 18:22
  up.
• 18:22
  You
• 18:22
  know,
• 18:23
  you
• 18:23
  have
• 18:23
  this
• 18:23
  kind
• 18:23
  of
• 18:24
  white
• 18:24
  boy
• 18:24
  kung
• 18:25
  fu
• 18:25
  guy
• 18:25
  with
• 18:26
  like
• 18:26
  strong
• 18:26
  man
• 18:27
  Luke
• 18:28
  Cage,
• 18:28
  former
• 18:29
  prisoner,
• 18:29
  who
• 18:29
  are
• 18:29
  out
• 18:30
  and
• 18:30
  they
• 18:31
  are.
• 18:31
  They're
• 18:31
  involved
• 18:31
  in.
• 18:32
  In
• 18:32
  Hell's
• 18:33
  Kitchen
• 18:33
  too,
• 18:33
  right?
• 18:33
  Aren't
• 18:34
  they
• 18:34
  like
• 18:34
  neighborhoods
• 18:35
  around
• 18:36
  Daredevil
• 18:37
  in
• 18:37
  the
• 18:37
  comics.
• 18:37
  And
• 18:37
  that's
• 18:38
  why
• 18:38
  they
• 18:38
  kind
• 18:38
  of
• 18:38
  brought
• 18:38
  him
• 18:38
  in
• 18:39
  with
• 18:39
  the
• 18:39
  Defenders.
• 18:39
  And
• 18:40
  I've
• 18:40
  always
• 18:40
  kind
• 18:40
  of
• 18:41
  enjoyed
• 18:42
  Iron
• 18:42
  Fist
• 18:42
  as
• 18:42
  a
• 18:43
  character.
• 18:43
  I
• 18:43
  know
• 18:43
  Netflix
• 18:44
  was
• 18:44
  kind
• 18:44
  of
• 18:44
  the
• 18:44
  weak
• 18:44
  link
• 18:45
  that
• 18:46
  kind
• 18:46
  of
• 18:47
  kind
• 18:47
  of
• 18:47
  definitely
• 18:48
  tore
• 18:48
  down
• 18:49
  superhero
• 18:50
  fatigue
• 18:51
  or
• 18:51
  was
• 18:51
  right
• 18:51
  there
• 18:51
  amidst
• 18:52
  of
• 18:52
  all
• 18:52
  of
• 18:52
  it.
• 18:52
  But.
• 18:53
  But
• 18:53
  in
• 18:53
  the
• 18:53
  comics
• 18:54
  as
• 18:54
  a
• 18:54
  character
• 18:56
  is
• 18:56
  really
• 18:57
  neat.
• 18:57
  And
• 18:57
  I
• 18:57
  think
• 18:57
  Matt
• 18:57
  Fraction
• 18:58
  and
• 18:59
  Rimeters
• 19:00
  run
• 19:01
  back
• 19:01
  with
• 19:02
  David
• 19:02
  Aja
• 19:02
  is
• 19:03
  how
• 19:03
  you
• 19:03
  say
• 19:03
  it,
• 19:05
  J
• 19:05
  A
• 19:05
  David
• 19:06
  Aja.
• 19:08
  They.
• 19:08
  Their
• 19:09
  run
• 19:09
  on
• 19:09
  Iron
• 19:10
  Fist
• 19:10
  is
• 19:10
  just
• 19:10
  super
• 19:10
  good.
• 19:11
  And
• 19:11
  it
• 19:11
  kind
• 19:12
  of
• 19:12
  talks
• 19:12
  about
• 19:12
  his
• 19:13
  as
• 19:14
  a
• 19:14
  superhero.
• 19:14
  He
• 19:15
  just.
• 19:15
  He
• 19:15
  wrestles
• 19:16
  with
• 19:16
  attention
• 19:17
  of
• 19:17
  being
• 19:17
  a
• 19:17
  CEO
• 19:18
  of
• 19:18
  a.
• 19:19
  Of
• 19:19
  a
• 19:19
  corporation
• 19:20
  that
• 19:20
  he's
• 19:20
  inherited
• 19:21
  with
• 19:21
  wanting
• 19:22
  to
• 19:22
  be
• 19:22
  a
• 19:22
  superhero
• 19:22
  and
• 19:22
  do
• 19:23
  justice
• 19:23
  as
• 19:23
  well.
• 19:23
  So
• 19:24
  you
• 19:24
  have
• 19:24
  that
• 19:25
  kind
• 19:25
  of
• 19:25
  dynamic
• 19:26
  of
• 19:26
  how
• 19:27
  do
• 19:27
  you
• 19:27
  become
• 19:28
  like
• 19:28
  a
• 19:29
  benevolent
• 19:29
  CEO
• 19:30
  of
• 19:30
  a
• 19:30
  big
• 19:30
  company
• 19:31
  and
• 19:32
  a
• 19:32
  superhero
• 19:32
  during.
• 19:34
  During
• 19:34
  the
• 19:34
  day,
• 19:35
  you
• 19:35
  know.
• 19:36
  Anyway,
• 19:37
  I
• 19:37
  just
• 19:37
  find
• 19:37
  his.
• 19:38
  I
• 19:38
  like
• 19:39
  his
• 19:39
  character,
• 19:39
  I
• 19:40
  like
• 19:40
  his
• 19:40
  origin
• 19:40
  and
• 19:41
  then
• 19:41
  how
• 19:41
  he
• 19:42
  plays
• 19:42
  out
• 19:42
  with
• 19:42
  those
• 19:43
  others
• 19:43
  in
• 19:43
  New
• 19:44
  York
• 19:44
  are
• 19:44
  trying
• 19:44
  to
• 19:45
  bring
• 19:45
  justice
• 19:46
  to
• 19:46
  be
• 19:46
  superheroes.
• 19:47
  And
• 19:47
  so
• 19:47
  how
• 19:47
  they
• 19:48
  try
• 19:48
  to
• 19:48
  pull
• 19:48
  them
• 19:48
  in
• 19:48
  together
• 19:49
  in
• 19:49
  Netflix
• 19:49
  and
• 19:50
  then
• 19:50
  what
• 19:50
  happens
• 19:50
  later,
• 19:51
  I
• 19:51
  don't
• 19:51
  know.
• 19:51
  But
• 19:51
  the
• 19:52
  comics.
• 19:52
  The
• 19:52
  comics
• 19:52
  are
• 19:53
  really
• 19:53
  a
• 19:53
  lot
• 19:53
  of
• 19:53
  fun.
• 19:54
  Yeah.
• 19:54
  And
• 19:54
  I
• 19:55
  like
• 19:55
  that
• 19:55
  was.
• 19:55
  I
• 19:56
  think
• 19:56
  one
• 19:56
  thing
• 19:56
  that,
• 19:56
  yeah,
• 19:57
  they
• 19:57
  could
• 19:57
  have
• 19:57
  done
• 19:57
  a
• 19:57
  bit
• 19:57
  and
• 19:57
  I.
• 19:58
  They
• 19:58
  could
• 19:58
  still
• 19:58
  do
• 19:58
  in
• 19:59
  the
• 19:59
  future
• 19:59
  is
• 19:59
  like
• 19:59
  do
• 20:00
  more
• 20:00
  with
• 20:00
  Iron
• 20:00
  Fist
• 20:00
  and
• 20:01
  Luke
• 20:01
  Cage
• 20:01
  together
• 20:01
  because
• 20:01
  they
• 20:02
  are
• 20:02
  a
• 20:02
  great
• 20:02
  team
• 20:02
  up.
• 20:03
  You
• 20:03
  know,
• 20:03
  like,
• 20:04
  I
• 20:04
  thought
• 20:04
  the
• 20:04
  Defenders
• 20:04
  was
• 20:05
  decent,
• 20:05
  but
• 20:06
  you
• 20:06
  know,
• 20:07
  so,
• 20:08
  you
• 20:08
  know
• 20:08
  Somewhat
• 20:08
  forgettable
• 20:09
  in
• 20:09
  relation
• 20:09
  to
• 20:09
  the
• 20:09
  others,
• 20:10
  but.
• 20:11
  Jill,
• 20:11
  did
• 20:12
  you
• 20:12
  watch
• 20:12
  all
• 20:12
  of
• 20:12
  the
• 20:13
  Netflix
• 20:13
  series
• 20:14
  at
• 20:14
  the
• 20:14
  time
• 20:14
  or
• 20:14
  which.
• 20:14
  Were
• 20:15
  there
• 20:15
  any
• 20:15
  that
• 20:15
  you
• 20:16
  were,
• 20:16
  like,
• 20:16
  really
• 20:17
  into?
• 20:17
  No,
• 20:18
  I
• 20:18
  didn't
• 20:18
  watch
• 20:18
  all
• 20:18
  of
• 20:19
  them.
• 20:19
  I
• 20:19
  watched
• 20:20
  Daredevil
• 20:21
  because,
• 20:21
  you
• 20:21
  know,
• 20:22
  my
• 20:22
  whole
• 20:22
  access
• 20:23
  point
• 20:23
  to
• 20:23
  these
• 20:23
  comics
• 20:24
  is
• 20:24
  my
• 20:24
  son,
• 20:24
  and
• 20:25
  that
• 20:25
  was
• 20:25
  one
• 20:25
  that
• 20:25
  he
• 20:25
  watched
• 20:26
  and
• 20:26
  liked.
• 20:27
  And
• 20:27
  then
• 20:27
  Punisher
• 20:28
  we
• 20:28
  watched.
• 20:29
  I
• 20:29
  didn't
• 20:29
  finish
• 20:30
  it,
• 20:30
  but
• 20:30
  he
• 20:30
  finished
• 20:30
  that
• 20:31
  series.
• 20:31
  Yeah,
• 20:31
  but
• 20:32
  I
• 20:32
  didn't
• 20:32
  really
• 20:32
  know.
• 20:32
  Yeah,
• 20:33
  yeah,
• 20:34
  it's.
• 20:34
  I
• 20:34
  mean,
• 20:34
  like,
• 20:35
  it
• 20:35
  was
• 20:35
  just.
• 20:36
  I
• 20:36
  watched
• 20:36
  a
• 20:36
  little
• 20:36
  bit
• 20:36
  of
• 20:37
  it,
• 20:37
  but.
• 20:38
  Yeah.
• 20:38
  And
• 20:38
  then
• 20:38
  by
• 20:39
  the
• 20:39
  time,
• 20:39
  like,
• 20:39
  I.
• 20:40
  I
• 20:40
  already,
• 20:40
  like,
• 20:40
  I
• 20:41
  think
• 20:41
  I
• 20:41
  heard
• 20:41
  season
• 20:41
  two
• 20:42
  got
• 20:42
  a
• 20:42
  little
• 20:42
  better,
• 20:42
  but
• 20:42
  then,
• 20:42
  of
• 20:42
  course,
• 20:43
  got
• 20:43
  canceled
• 20:43
  after
• 20:43
  that.
• 20:44
  But
• 20:44
  I'm.
• 20:45
  I'm
• 20:45
  curious
• 20:45
  where
• 20:45
  they'll
• 20:46
  go
• 20:46
  now.
• 20:46
  I
• 20:47
  mean,
• 20:47
  it's
• 20:47
  very
• 20:47
  clear.
• 20:48
  We're
• 20:48
  getting
• 20:48
  Jessica
• 20:49
  Jones
• 20:50
  later
• 20:51
  in
• 20:51
  this
• 20:51
  season
• 20:51
  of
• 20:51
  Born
• 20:52
  Again.
• 20:52
  I'm
• 20:52
  pretty
• 20:52
  sure
• 20:53
  we're
• 20:53
  gonna
• 20:53
  see
• 20:53
  Blue
• 20:53
  Cage
• 20:54
  again
• 20:54
  soon.
• 20:54
  So
• 20:54
  it
• 20:55
  sounds
• 20:55
  like
• 20:55
  they're
• 20:55
  getting
• 20:55
  the
• 20:56
  gang
• 20:56
  back
• 20:56
  together.
• 20:56
  Obviously,
• 20:57
  Punisher
• 20:57
  has
• 20:57
  this
• 20:58
  one
• 20:58
  shot
• 20:58
  coming
• 20:58
  soon,
• 20:59
  so
• 20:59
  it'll
• 20:59
  be
• 20:59
  cool
• 21:00
  to
• 21:00
  see
• 21:00
  all
• 21:00
  those
• 21:00
  characters
• 21:01
  come
• 21:01
  together.
• 21:02
  But
• 21:03
  getting
• 21:03
  back
• 21:04
  to.
• 21:04
  So
• 21:05
  the
• 21:05
  origin
• 21:06
  here,
• 21:06
  I
• 21:06
  mean,
• 21:07
  you
• 21:07
  know,
• 21:07
  it's
• 21:08
  iconic
• 21:08
  of
• 21:09
  like
• 21:09
  a
• 21:10
  superhero
• 21:10
  element.
• 21:11
  With
• 21:11
  Norton,
• 21:12
  it's
• 21:12
  either
• 21:13
  particular
• 21:13
  in
• 21:13
  the
• 21:13
  Marvel
• 21:13
  Universe,
• 21:14
  it's
• 21:14
  either,
• 21:15
  you
• 21:15
  know,
• 21:15
  an
• 21:15
  accident
• 21:16
  or,
• 21:17
  you
• 21:18
  know,
• 21:18
  something
• 21:18
  giving
• 21:18
  ordinary
• 21:19
  human
• 21:19
  strange
• 21:20
  powers.
• 21:20
  Right.
• 21:21
  And
• 21:21
  anyway,
• 21:22
  Daredevil
• 21:22
  is
• 21:22
  no
• 21:23
  different.
• 21:23
  Granted,
• 21:24
  I
• 21:24
  think
• 21:25
  his
• 21:26
  stands
• 21:26
  out
• 21:26
  because
• 21:26
  it's
• 21:26
  very
• 21:26
  much
• 21:27
  rooted
• 21:28
  in
• 21:28
  tragedy
• 21:28
  here.
• 21:29
  But
• 21:29
  at
• 21:29
  the
• 21:29
  same
• 21:30
  time,
• 21:31
  the.
• 21:31
  It
• 21:32
  gives
• 21:32
  him
• 21:32
  a
• 21:33
  different
• 21:33
  kind
• 21:33
  of
• 21:33
  enhanced
• 21:34
  powers.
• 21:34
  He's
• 21:35
  able
• 21:35
  to.
• 21:35
  All
• 21:36
  his
• 21:36
  other
• 21:36
  senses
• 21:37
  are
• 21:37
  heightened
• 21:37
  here.
• 21:37
  And
• 21:38
  so.
• 21:39
  So
• 21:39
  looking
• 21:39
  at
• 21:39
  just
• 21:40
  the
• 21:40
  accident,
• 21:41
  the
• 21:41
  origin
• 21:42
  of
• 21:42
  Matt
• 21:42
  Murdock,
• 21:43
  what
• 21:44
  are
• 21:44
  some
• 21:44
  elements
• 21:45
  of
• 21:45
  it
• 21:45
  that
• 21:45
  really
• 21:45
  stand
• 21:45
  out
• 21:46
  to
• 21:46
  you
• 21:46
  and
• 21:46
  that,
• 21:47
  you
• 21:47
  know,
• 21:48
  how
• 21:48
  this
• 21:48
  accident.
• 21:49
  Because
• 21:49
  obviously
• 21:49
  it's
• 21:50
  not,
• 21:50
  you
• 21:50
  know,
• 21:50
  this
• 21:51
  happens
• 21:51
  when
• 21:51
  he's
• 21:51
  a
• 21:51
  kid.
• 21:51
  Obviously,
• 21:52
  he
• 21:52
  doesn't
• 21:52
  start
• 21:52
  fighting
• 21:53
  crime
• 21:53
  right
• 21:53
  away
• 21:53
  after
• 21:54
  that.
• 21:55
  That's
• 21:55
  what
• 21:55
  I
• 21:55
  think
• 21:55
  separates,
• 21:56
  you
• 21:56
  know,
• 21:56
  like,
• 21:56
  Spider
• 21:57
  man
• 21:57
  gets
• 21:57
  the
• 21:57
  spider
• 21:57
  bite.
• 21:58
  You
• 21:58
  know,
• 21:58
  he
• 21:59
  starts
• 21:59
  fighting
• 21:59
  crime
• 22:00
  not
• 22:00
  too
• 22:00
  long
• 22:00
  after
• 22:01
  that.
• 22:01
  Right.
• 22:01
  Matt
• 22:02
  is
• 22:02
  a
• 22:02
  kid
• 22:02
  when
• 22:02
  this
• 22:03
  happens.
• 22:03
  It's
• 22:04
  going
• 22:04
  to
• 22:04
  be
• 22:04
  a
• 22:04
  while
• 22:04
  before
• 22:05
  he
• 22:05
  actually
• 22:05
  becomes
• 22:06
  Daredevil.
• 22:06
  But
• 22:07
  what
• 22:08
  do
• 22:08
  you
• 22:08
  think
• 22:08
  really?
• 22:09
  You
• 22:10
  know,
• 22:10
  how
• 22:11
  is
• 22:11
  this
• 22:12
  point
• 22:12
  in
• 22:12
  his
• 22:12
  life
• 22:13
  a
• 22:13
  turning
• 22:13
  point
• 22:14
  that
• 22:14
  sets
• 22:15
  him
• 22:15
  on
• 22:15
  the
• 22:15
  road
• 22:16
  to
• 22:16
  becoming
• 22:17
  a
• 22:17
  superhero
• 22:18
  for
• 22:18
  anyone?
• 22:19
  Oh,
• 22:19
  you
• 22:19
  mentioned.
• 22:20
  Mentioned
• 22:20
  Spider
• 22:20
  Man.
• 22:21
  You
• 22:21
  know,
• 22:21
  the.
• 22:22
  The
• 22:22
  big
• 22:22
  contrast
• 22:23
  there
• 22:23
  is
• 22:23
  that,
• 22:24
  you
• 22:24
  know,
• 22:24
  Matt
• 22:25
  Murdock
• 22:25
  already
• 22:25
  feels
• 22:26
  a
• 22:26
  heavy
• 22:27
  burden
• 22:27
  of
• 22:27
  responsibility
• 22:29
  before
• 22:29
  he
• 22:29
  has
• 22:30
  great
• 22:30
  power.
• 22:31
  And
• 22:32
  that's
• 22:32
  how
• 22:32
  he.
• 22:33
  That's
• 22:33
  how
• 22:33
  the
• 22:33
  Accident
• 22:34
  occurs,
• 22:34
  he
• 22:35
  feels
• 22:35
  obliged
• 22:35
  to
• 22:36
  intervene
• 22:37
  on
• 22:37
  behalf
• 22:37
  of
• 22:38
  this
• 22:38
  other
• 22:38
  person.
• 22:40
  So,
• 22:40
  you
• 22:40
  know,
• 22:41
  he.
• 22:42
  He's
• 22:42
  not
• 22:42
  learning
• 22:44
  lessons
• 22:45
  as
• 22:45
  a,
• 22:45
  you
• 22:45
  know,
• 22:46
  after.
• 22:46
  As
• 22:46
  a
• 22:46
  consequence
• 22:47
  of.
• 22:47
  Of
• 22:48
  developing
• 22:48
  superpowers,
• 22:49
  but
• 22:49
  really
• 22:49
  he's.
• 22:50
  He's
• 22:51
  figuring
• 22:51
  out
• 22:51
  how
• 22:52
  to
• 22:52
  incorporate
• 22:54
  what
• 22:56
  his
• 22:56
  newfound
• 22:56
  abilities
• 22:57
  and
• 22:57
  disabilities,
• 22:58
  how
• 22:59
  they
• 22:59
  factor
• 22:59
  into
• 22:59
  his
• 22:59
  already
• 23:00
  strong
• 23:00
  sense
• 23:01
  of
• 23:01
  right
• 23:02
  and
• 23:02
  wrong
• 23:02
  and
• 23:02
  strong
• 23:03
  sense
• 23:03
  of
• 23:03
  personal
• 23:03
  responsibility.
• 23:04
  It's
• 23:05
  like
• 23:05
  the
• 23:05
  accident
• 23:06
  heightens
• 23:07
  all
• 23:07
  of
• 23:07
  his
• 23:08
  other
• 23:08
  senses,
• 23:08
  including
• 23:10
  his
• 23:10
  internal
• 23:11
  drive
• 23:11
  to
• 23:12
  do
• 23:12
  good
• 23:13
  and
• 23:13
  to
• 23:13
  do
• 23:14
  right
• 23:14
  by
• 23:14
  humanity.
• 23:16
  And
• 23:17
  he
• 23:17
  could
• 23:17
  never
• 23:18
  have
• 23:18
  been
• 23:18
  Daredevil
• 23:19
  without
• 23:19
  that
• 23:19
  accident.
• 23:20
  But
• 23:20
  I
• 23:20
  actually
• 23:20
  think
• 23:20
  it's
• 23:20
  the
• 23:21
  two
• 23:21
  tragedies
• 23:21
  that.
• 23:22
  That
• 23:22
  make
• 23:22
  him.
• 23:22
  First,
• 23:23
  it's
• 23:23
  the
• 23:23
  chemical
• 23:24
  spill,
• 23:25
  and
• 23:25
  then
• 23:25
  it's
• 23:26
  the
• 23:26
  death
• 23:26
  of
• 23:26
  his
• 23:26
  dad.
• 23:27
  And
• 23:27
  I
• 23:27
  think
• 23:27
  if
• 23:27
  there
• 23:28
  were
• 23:28
  just
• 23:28
  one
• 23:28
  or
• 23:29
  the
• 23:29
  other,
• 23:29
  he,
• 23:30
  Matt
• 23:30
  Murdock,
• 23:30
  would
• 23:30
  not
• 23:31
  become
• 23:31
  Daredevil.
• 23:31
  But
• 23:32
  it
• 23:32
  actually
• 23:32
  needs
• 23:32
  both
• 23:33
  of
• 23:33
  those
• 23:33
  tragedies
• 23:34
  to
• 23:34
  cause
• 23:35
  him
• 23:35
  to
• 23:35
  become
• 23:35
  who.
• 23:36
  He
• 23:36
  is
• 23:37
  now
• 23:37
  in
• 23:37
  the.
• 23:38
  In
• 23:38
  the
• 23:38
  comics
• 23:38
  and
• 23:39
  origin.
• 23:39
  What
• 23:39
  came
• 23:40
  first,
• 23:40
  him
• 23:40
  going
• 23:40
  to
• 23:41
  law
• 23:41
  school
• 23:41
  and
• 23:41
  then
• 23:41
  become
• 23:41
  a
• 23:42
  Daredevil?
• 23:42
  Or
• 23:42
  is
• 23:42
  he
• 23:42
  Daredevil
• 23:43
  and
• 23:43
  they
• 23:43
  go
• 23:43
  to
• 23:43
  law
• 23:43
  school?
• 23:44
  Do
• 23:44
  we
• 23:44
  know
• 23:45
  what
• 23:45
  came
• 23:45
  first
• 23:45
  with
• 23:45
  that?
• 23:46
  Was
• 23:46
  it
• 23:46
  like
• 23:46
  he
• 23:47
  was
• 23:47
  a
• 23:47
  lawyer
• 23:47
  and
• 23:47
  he
• 23:47
  felt
• 23:48
  compelled
• 23:48
  to
• 23:49
  be
• 23:49
  Daredevil
• 23:50
  at
• 23:50
  night
• 23:50
  to
• 23:50
  help
• 23:51
  and
• 23:51
  supplement
• 23:51
  the
• 23:52
  justice
• 23:52
  that
• 23:52
  isn't
• 23:53
  being
• 23:53
  done
• 23:53
  and
• 23:54
  courtroom
• 23:54
  that
• 23:54
  he's
• 23:56
  doing
• 23:57
  or.
• 23:57
  Or
• 23:57
  that.
• 23:58
  I.
• 23:58
  I'm
• 23:58
  not.
• 23:58
  I'm
• 23:59
  not
• 23:59
  sure
• 23:59
  because
• 23:59
  I
• 23:59
  would
• 23:59
  find
• 24:00
  that.
• 24:00
  That
• 24:00
  interesting.
• 24:01
  What
• 24:01
  came
• 24:01
  first?
• 24:03
  So
• 24:03
  he
• 24:03
  trains
• 24:04
  with
• 24:04
  Stick
• 24:05
  when
• 24:05
  he's
• 24:05
  pretty
• 24:06
  young.
• 24:06
  Like,
• 24:06
  it's
• 24:07
  like.
• 24:08
  It's
• 24:08
  like
• 24:08
  the
• 24:08
  accident,
• 24:09
  then
• 24:10
  battling
• 24:10
  Jack
• 24:11
  Murdoch.
• 24:11
  Yeah,
• 24:12
  we'll
• 24:12
  talk
• 24:12
  about
• 24:12
  Jack
• 24:12
  Murdock
• 24:13
  in
• 24:13
  a
• 24:13
  sec.
• 24:14
  And
• 24:14
  then
• 24:14
  he
• 24:14
  trains
• 24:15
  with
• 24:15
  stick
• 24:15
  for
• 24:15
  a
• 24:15
  long
• 24:15
  time.
• 24:16
  And
• 24:16
  then,
• 24:17
  because
• 24:18
  I'm
• 24:18
  basing
• 24:18
  this
• 24:18
  off
• 24:19
  the
• 24:19
  Man
• 24:19
  Without
• 24:19
  Fear,
• 24:20
  which
• 24:20
  is
• 24:21
  kind
• 24:21
  of
• 24:21
  the
• 24:21
  definitive
• 24:21
  origin
• 24:23
  comic,
• 24:23
  but
• 24:24
  then
• 24:25
  it
• 24:25
  was
• 24:25
  a
• 24:25
  law
• 24:25
  school,
• 24:26
  and
• 24:26
  then.
• 24:26
  Yeah,
• 24:26
  it's
• 24:27
  around
• 24:27
  that
• 24:27
  time
• 24:27
  when
• 24:27
  he
• 24:28
  first,
• 24:28
  like,
• 24:28
  suits
• 24:29
  up.
• 24:29
  But
• 24:29
  it.
• 24:29
  It
• 24:29
  sort
• 24:30
  of.
• 24:30
  It
• 24:30
  kind
• 24:30
  of
• 24:30
  parallels
• 24:31
  Batman
• 24:31
  in
• 24:31
  a
• 24:31
  way
• 24:32
  of,
• 24:32
  like,
• 24:32
  I
• 24:33
  would
• 24:33
  say
• 24:34
  he's
• 24:34
  training
• 24:35
  to
• 24:35
  be,
• 24:35
  like,
• 24:36
  to
• 24:36
  become
• 24:37
  that.
• 24:37
  That
• 24:38
  character
• 24:38
  for
• 24:39
  a
• 24:39
  long
• 24:39
  time.
• 24:40
  But
• 24:40
  then
• 24:41
  he,
• 24:41
  like,
• 24:41
  actually.
• 24:42
  And
• 24:43
  he.
• 24:43
  Correct
• 24:43
  me,
• 24:43
  right,
• 24:43
  but
• 24:44
  he
• 24:44
  actually,
• 24:44
  like,
• 24:44
  you
• 24:44
  know,
• 24:45
  puts
• 24:45
  on
• 24:45
  the
• 24:45
  suit,
• 24:45
  the
• 24:45
  black
• 24:46
  suit,
• 24:46
  the
• 24:46
  first
• 24:46
  time,
• 24:47
  you
• 24:47
  know,
• 24:47
  like,
• 24:48
  after
• 24:48
  law
• 24:49
  school.
• 24:50
  Well,
• 24:50
  it's
• 24:51
  a
• 24:51
  red
• 24:52
  and
• 24:52
  yellow
• 24:52
  suit.
• 24:52
  It's
• 24:52
  a
• 24:53
  primarily
• 24:53
  yellow
• 24:53
  suit,
• 24:54
  actually.
• 24:55
  Yeah,
• 24:55
  that's
• 24:55
  right.
• 24:55
  In
• 24:56
  the
• 24:56
  comics,
• 24:57
  the
• 24:57
  black
• 24:57
  suit
• 24:57
  is.
• 24:59
  The
• 24:59
  TV
• 24:59
  show
• 25:00
  and
• 25:01
  some
• 25:01
  other
• 25:01
  versions.
• 25:02
  But
• 25:02
  yeah,
• 25:04
  he
• 25:05
  has
• 25:05
  the
• 25:05
  training,
• 25:05
  like
• 25:06
  you
• 25:06
  said.
• 25:06
  But
• 25:08
  as
• 25:08
  Will
• 25:08
  noted,
• 25:09
  it's
• 25:09
  the.
• 25:09
  Seeing
• 25:10
  that
• 25:11
  the
• 25:11
  justice
• 25:12
  system
• 25:12
  has
• 25:13
  holes,
• 25:14
  is
• 25:14
  failing.
• 25:15
  Can
• 25:16
  Be
• 25:16
  corrupt.
• 25:17
  That
• 25:17
  motivates
• 25:18
  him
• 25:18
  to
• 25:19
  engage
• 25:20
  in
• 25:20
  extralegal
• 25:21
  activities.
• 25:23
  And
• 25:23
  you
• 25:23
  think
• 25:23
  about
• 25:23
  like
• 25:24
  comics
• 25:24
  or
• 25:24
  superhero
• 25:25
  origins
• 25:26
  or
• 25:26
  in
• 25:26
  the
• 25:26
  movies,
• 25:27
  that
• 25:27
  there's
• 25:27
  like
• 25:27
  a
• 25:28
  handful
• 25:28
  of
• 25:28
  ways
• 25:29
  you
• 25:29
  can
• 25:29
  acquire
• 25:30
  superhuman
• 25:30
  abilities,
• 25:31
  right?
• 25:31
  You
• 25:32
  are
• 25:32
  a
• 25:32
  mutant.
• 25:33
  You're
• 25:33
  born
• 25:33
  that
• 25:34
  way.
• 25:35
  You're
• 25:35
  gifted
• 25:36
  something
• 25:36
  from
• 25:36
  outside
• 25:37
  of
• 25:37
  you,
• 25:37
  like
• 25:38
  a
• 25:38
  magic
• 25:39
  ring
• 25:39
  or
• 25:39
  some
• 25:39
  power
• 25:40
  source
• 25:40
  or
• 25:40
  something
• 25:41
  that
• 25:41
  gifts
• 25:41
  you
• 25:41
  with
• 25:41
  some
• 25:42
  ability.
• 25:42
  And
• 25:42
  then
• 25:43
  there's
• 25:43
  like
• 25:44
  an
• 25:44
  accident
• 25:44
  or
• 25:44
  something's
• 25:45
  gone
• 25:45
  wrong,
• 25:46
  whether
• 25:46
  you're
• 25:47
  the
• 25:47
  Hulk
• 25:47
  or
• 25:48
  you're
• 25:48
  Spider
• 25:48
  man
• 25:48
  or
• 25:48
  you're
• 25:49
  Daredevil.
• 25:49
  And
• 25:50
  some
• 25:50
  of
• 25:50
  this
• 25:50
  is
• 25:51
  Stan
• 25:51
  Lee
• 25:51
  and
• 25:51
  Jack
• 25:52
  Kirby
• 25:52
  trying
• 25:52
  to
• 25:53
  think
• 25:53
  of
• 25:53
  origins
• 25:53
  and
• 25:54
  what
• 25:54
  could
• 25:54
  give
• 25:54
  this
• 25:55
  person
• 25:55
  some
• 25:55
  powers.
• 25:56
  And
• 25:56
  oh,
• 25:56
  you
• 25:57
  know,
• 25:57
  a
• 25:57
  radiated
• 25:58
  truck,
• 25:58
  you
• 25:58
  know,
• 25:59
  with
• 25:59
  toxins
• 26:00
  in
• 26:00
  it,
• 26:00
  you
• 26:00
  know,
• 26:00
  that
• 26:01
  may
• 26:01
  have
• 26:01
  gone
• 26:01
  down
• 26:01
  in
• 26:02
  the
• 26:02
  sewers
• 26:02
  and
• 26:02
  given
• 26:02
  some
• 26:03
  turtles
• 26:03
  some
• 26:03
  superpowers
• 26:04
  too.
• 26:04
  I
• 26:04
  don't
• 26:04
  know.
• 26:04
  That's
• 26:05
  out
• 26:05
  there
• 26:05
  somewhere.
• 26:06
  I
• 26:06
  don't
• 26:06
  know
• 26:06
  if
• 26:06
  that
• 26:06
  happened
• 26:07
  or
• 26:07
  if
• 26:07
  that's
• 26:07
  canon
• 26:08
  or
• 26:08
  not.
• 26:09
  Whether
• 26:09
  the
• 26:09
  same
• 26:09
  spill
• 26:10
  that
• 26:10
  gave
• 26:10
  Daredevil
• 26:11
  his
• 26:11
  powers
• 26:11
  gave
• 26:11
  the
• 26:11
  Mutant
• 26:12
  Ninja
• 26:12
  Turtles
• 26:13
  theirs.
• 26:13
  I
• 26:13
  think
• 26:13
  that's
• 26:13
  somewhere.
• 26:14
  But
• 26:14
  anyway,
• 26:15
  but,
• 26:16
  but
• 26:16
  there's
• 26:16
  a
• 26:16
  handful
• 26:16
  of
• 26:16
  ways
• 26:17
  to
• 26:17
  do
• 26:17
  it.
• 26:17
  So
• 26:17
  what
• 26:17
  do
• 26:17
  you
• 26:17
  do
• 26:18
  with
• 26:18
  your
• 26:19
  power
• 26:19
  once
• 26:19
  you're
• 26:19
  given
• 26:19
  it?
• 26:21
  And
• 26:21
  we've
• 26:21
  talked
• 26:21
  about
• 26:21
  the
• 26:22
  four
• 26:22
  before
• 26:22
  of
• 26:23
  like,
• 26:23
  you
• 26:23
  know,
• 26:24
  do
• 26:24
  I
• 26:24
  use
• 26:24
  this
• 26:24
  as,
• 26:25
  as
• 26:25
  a
• 26:25
  self
• 26:26
  centered
• 26:26
  thing
• 26:27
  or
• 26:27
  for
• 26:27
  villainy
• 26:28
  or
• 26:28
  to
• 26:29
  wreak
• 26:29
  havoc
• 26:30
  on
• 26:30
  others
• 26:30
  because
• 26:30
  I
• 26:30
  experience
• 26:31
  or
• 26:31
  do
• 26:31
  I
• 26:31
  use
• 26:31
  it
• 26:31
  for,
• 26:32
  for
• 26:32
  good?
• 26:32
  And
• 26:33
  so
• 26:33
  this
• 26:34
  accident,
• 26:34
  I
• 26:34
  think,
• 26:35
  you
• 26:35
  know,
• 26:35
  yes,
• 26:36
  it's
• 26:36
  tragic,
• 26:37
  it's
• 26:37
  horrible.
• 26:38
  And
• 26:38
  yet
• 26:39
  he
• 26:39
  uses
• 26:40
  this
• 26:40
  gift
• 26:40
  in
• 26:40
  a
• 26:41
  way
• 26:41
  that
• 26:42
  heightens
• 26:44
  the
• 26:44
  way
• 26:44
  he
• 26:44
  sees
• 26:45
  justice
• 26:46
  or
• 26:47
  wants
• 26:48
  to
• 26:50
  give
• 26:50
  justice
• 26:50
  to
• 26:50
  the
• 26:50
  world
• 26:51
  through
• 26:51
  his
• 26:51
  gifts
• 26:51
  of
• 26:52
  being
• 26:52
  a
• 26:52
  lawyer.
• 26:53
  So,
• 26:53
  yeah,
• 26:54
  it's
• 26:54
  all
• 26:54
  tied
• 26:55
  together.
• 26:55
  It's
• 26:55
  really
• 26:55
  interesting
• 26:56
  how
• 26:56
  to
• 26:56
  play
• 26:56
  on
• 26:56
  that.
• 26:57
  And
• 26:57
  I
• 26:57
  think,
• 26:58
  you
• 26:58
  know,
• 26:58
  like
• 26:59
  it.
• 27:00
  Joe,
• 27:00
  like
• 27:00
  you
• 27:00
  said,
• 27:00
  it's.
• 27:01
  I
• 27:01
  think
• 27:02
  the,
• 27:02
  the
• 27:02
  two
• 27:03
  defining
• 27:04
  incidents
• 27:04
  are
• 27:05
  the
• 27:06
  accident
• 27:06
  that
• 27:06
  blinds
• 27:07
  him
• 27:07
  and
• 27:07
  then
• 27:07
  the
• 27:08
  death
• 27:08
  of
• 27:08
  his
• 27:08
  father,
• 27:09
  Jack
• 27:09
  Murdock.
• 27:10
  But
• 27:10
  I
• 27:10
  think,
• 27:10
  you
• 27:11
  know,
• 27:11
  Jack
• 27:11
  is
• 27:12
  one
• 27:12
  we
• 27:12
  can
• 27:12
  particularly
• 27:12
  look
• 27:13
  at
• 27:13
  in
• 27:13
  terms
• 27:13
  of
• 27:14
  the
• 27:14
  faces
• 27:14
  behind
• 27:14
  us
• 27:15
  and
• 27:15
  like
• 27:15
  the
• 27:15
  characters
• 27:15
  who
• 27:16
  really
• 27:16
  influence
• 27:17
  Matt
• 27:17
  Murdock.
• 27:17
  But
• 27:17
  there
• 27:18
  are
• 27:18
  really
• 27:18
  several
• 27:18
  because
• 27:18
  you
• 27:19
  have,
• 27:19
  you
• 27:19
  have
• 27:19
  Jack
• 27:19
  Murdock,
• 27:20
  you
• 27:20
  have
• 27:20
  Stick,
• 27:21
  you
• 27:21
  have
• 27:21
  Foggy
• 27:21
  Nelson.
• 27:22
  And
• 27:22
  actually
• 27:22
  the
• 27:23
  series
• 27:23
  right
• 27:24
  now
• 27:24
  has
• 27:25
  done
• 27:25
  a
• 27:25
  really,
• 27:25
  did
• 27:26
  a
• 27:26
  really
• 27:26
  interesting
• 27:26
  thing
• 27:27
  in
• 27:27
  this
• 27:28
  week's
• 27:28
  episode
• 27:28
  with
• 27:29
  how.
• 27:30
  Just
• 27:30
  how
• 27:30
  much
• 27:30
  Foggy
• 27:31
  influences
• 27:32
  Matt's
• 27:32
  moral
• 27:33
  compass.
• 27:33
  So
• 27:33
  I
• 27:33
  mean,
• 27:33
  that's
• 27:34
  something
• 27:34
  we
• 27:34
  could
• 27:34
  do
• 27:34
  a
• 27:34
  whole
• 27:35
  episode
• 27:35
  on.
• 27:35
  But.
• 27:36
  But
• 27:36
  yeah,
• 27:37
  I,
• 27:37
  I
• 27:37
  really
• 27:38
  love
• 27:38
  the
• 27:38
  relationship
• 27:39
  between
• 27:39
  Matt
• 27:40
  and
• 27:40
  Jack
• 27:40
  Murdoch.
• 27:41
  As,
• 27:42
  you
• 27:42
  know,
• 27:42
  like
• 27:43
  I.
• 27:43
  Like
• 27:43
  you
• 27:43
  were
• 27:43
  saying,
• 27:44
  Jill,
• 27:44
  it's
• 27:44
  like
• 27:45
  Matt
• 27:45
  is
• 27:45
  already
• 27:46
  infused
• 27:46
  with
• 27:46
  responsibility
• 27:47
  and
• 27:47
  kind
• 27:48
  of
• 27:48
  a
• 27:48
  moral
• 27:48
  compass,
• 27:49
  and
• 27:50
  the
• 27:50
  circumstances
• 27:53
  to
• 27:54
  you
• 27:54
  only
• 27:54
  heighten
• 27:55
  all
• 27:55
  of
• 27:55
  that.
• 27:57
  Love
• 27:57
  it.
• 27:57
  Love
• 27:57
  it.
• 27:58
  Yeah.
• 27:58
  Yep.
• 27:59
  It's
• 27:59
  like
• 27:59
  the
• 27:59
  circumstances
• 28:00
  that
• 28:00
  happen
• 28:00
  to
• 28:01
  you
• 28:02
  reveal
• 28:03
  your
• 28:03
  true
• 28:03
  character.
• 28:04
  Right.
• 28:05
  Which
• 28:05
  way
• 28:06
  you're
• 28:06
  gonna
• 28:06
  go.
• 28:07
  Yeah,
• 28:08
  yeah,
• 28:08
  absolutely.
• 28:09
  Yeah.
• 28:10
  And
• 28:10
  then
• 28:10
  you
• 28:11
  go
• 28:11
  for.
• 28:11
  And
• 28:11
  it's
• 28:11
  like,
• 28:12
  Jack
• 28:12
  was
• 28:12
  the,
• 28:13
  you
• 28:13
  know,
• 28:13
  very
• 28:13
  much
• 28:13
  a
• 28:14
  fighter,
• 28:14
  but
• 28:14
  also,
• 28:15
  you
• 28:15
  know,
• 28:15
  a
• 28:16
  compassionate
• 28:16
  father.
• 28:17
  They
• 28:17
  had,
• 28:17
  you
• 28:17
  know,
• 28:17
  this
• 28:17
  relationship,
• 28:18
  and
• 28:18
  then,
• 28:19
  you
• 28:19
  know,
• 28:19
  his
• 28:19
  next,
• 28:20
  like,
• 28:20
  I
• 28:21
  hesitate
• 28:21
  to
• 28:21
  even
• 28:21
  say
• 28:22
  father
• 28:22
  figure,
• 28:22
  but,
• 28:23
  you
• 28:23
  know,
• 28:23
  like.
• 28:23
  But
• 28:24
  his
• 28:24
  next
• 28:24
  mentor
• 28:25
  is
• 28:25
  Stick,
• 28:25
  who
• 28:26
  is,
• 28:26
  you
• 28:26
  know,
• 28:27
  really
• 28:27
  without
• 28:28
  any
• 28:28
  kind
• 28:28
  of
• 28:28
  softness
• 28:29
  or
• 28:29
  compassion,
• 28:29
  is
• 28:29
  a
• 28:30
  very
• 28:30
  hard
• 28:30
  edge,
• 28:31
  grizzly,
• 28:32
  you
• 28:32
  know,
• 28:32
  Eastwood
• 28:33
  type
• 28:33
  figure
• 28:33
  who,
• 28:35
  like,
• 28:35
  is
• 28:36
  also
• 28:36
  blind
• 28:37
  and,
• 28:37
  you
• 28:38
  know,
• 28:38
  becomes
• 28:38
  the
• 28:38
  mentor
• 28:39
  that
• 28:39
  trains
• 28:40
  Matt
• 28:40
  how
• 28:40
  to
• 28:40
  fight.
• 28:41
  But
• 28:41
  he
• 28:42
  does
• 28:42
  so
• 28:42
  through
• 28:43
  a
• 28:43
  grueling,
• 28:45
  you
• 28:45
  know,
• 28:45
  almost
• 28:45
  villainous
• 28:46
  manner.
• 28:47
  So
• 28:47
  I.
• 28:48
  Stick
• 28:48
  is
• 28:48
  always
• 28:48
  a
• 28:49
  really
• 28:49
  fascinating
• 28:50
  character,
• 28:51
  Jill.
• 28:51
  Guys,
• 28:51
  especially,
• 28:52
  you
• 28:52
  know,
• 28:52
  you
• 28:52
  watching
• 28:53
  just
• 28:53
  like
• 28:53
  the
• 28:53
  Netflix
• 28:53
  series,
• 28:54
  like,
• 28:54
  what
• 28:54
  were
• 28:55
  your
• 28:55
  thoughts
• 28:55
  on
• 28:55
  that
• 28:56
  character?
• 28:57
  Especially,
• 28:57
  like,
• 28:57
  Scott
• 28:58
  Glenn
• 28:58
  playing
• 28:58
  him?
• 28:58
  Oh,
• 28:59
  perfection
• 28:59
  there.
• 29:00
  Yes.
• 29:00
  And
• 29:01
  like
• 29:01
  you
• 29:01
  said,
• 29:01
  like,
• 29:02
  relentless.
• 29:02
  It's
• 29:03
  funny,
• 29:03
  I
• 29:04
  never
• 29:04
  thought
• 29:04
  about
• 29:04
  this
• 29:05
  analogy
• 29:06
  until
• 29:06
  right
• 29:06
  now.
• 29:06
  When
• 29:07
  you're
• 29:07
  saying
• 29:07
  it,
• 29:08
  it
• 29:08
  kind
• 29:08
  of
• 29:08
  reminds
• 29:09
  me
• 29:09
  of
• 29:09
  Mike
• 29:09
  Tyson,
• 29:10
  who's
• 29:10
  also
• 29:10
  from
• 29:10
  New
• 29:11
  York,
• 29:11
  and
• 29:12
  like,
• 29:13
  his
• 29:13
  father
• 29:14
  figure
• 29:14
  was
• 29:14
  Casamotto,
• 29:15
  who
• 29:16
  just.
• 29:17
  He
• 29:17
  wasn't
• 29:18
  the
• 29:18
  trainer,
• 29:18
  but
• 29:18
  he
• 29:19
  was
• 29:19
  like
• 29:19
  the.
• 29:19
  Well,
• 29:19
  I
• 29:19
  guess,
• 29:20
  yeah,
• 29:20
  he
• 29:20
  was
• 29:20
  the
• 29:20
  trainer
• 29:21
  and
• 29:21
  the
• 29:21
  man
• 29:21
  that
• 29:21
  Mike
• 29:22
  Tyson
• 29:22
  lived
• 29:22
  with
• 29:22
  that
• 29:22
  taught
• 29:23
  him
• 29:23
  to
• 29:23
  become
• 29:24
  such
• 29:24
  a
• 29:25
  brutal
• 29:26
  fighter.
• 29:27
  But
• 29:27
  what
• 29:27
  Mike
• 29:28
  Tyson
• 29:28
  didn't
• 29:28
  have
• 29:29
  was
• 29:29
  his
• 29:29
  first
• 29:29
  father
• 29:30
  figure
• 29:30
  wasn't
• 29:31
  compassionate
• 29:31
  and
• 29:31
  loving
• 29:32
  the
• 29:32
  way
• 29:32
  that
• 29:32
  Daredevils
• 29:33
  was.
• 29:33
  It
• 29:34
  just,
• 29:34
  like
• 29:34
  popped
• 29:34
  in
• 29:34
  my
• 29:35
  head
• 29:35
  right
• 29:35
  now
• 29:35
  as
• 29:36
  you
• 29:36
  were
• 29:36
  talking.
• 29:37
  I
• 29:37
  love
• 29:37
  it.
• 29:38
  That's
• 29:38
  a
• 29:38
  great
• 29:38
  comparison
• 29:38
  there.
• 29:39
  Yeah.
• 29:40
  Yeah.
• 29:41
  The
• 29:41
  way,
• 29:41
  like,
• 29:42
  people
• 29:42
  influence,
• 29:43
  again,
• 29:43
  it
• 29:44
  has,
• 29:44
  you
• 29:44
  know,
• 29:44
  it
• 29:45
  does
• 29:45
  so
• 29:45
  much
• 29:45
  to
• 29:46
  who
• 29:46
  they
• 29:46
  become.
• 29:47
  Yeah,
• 29:48
  well,
• 29:48
  and
• 29:49
  that
• 29:49
  brings
• 29:49
  me
• 29:49
  to
• 29:49
  this
• 29:49
  question,
• 29:50
  because
• 29:50
  I'm
• 29:50
  thinking
• 29:50
  about
• 29:50
  this
• 29:51
  and,
• 29:51
  like,
• 29:51
  you
• 29:51
  know,
• 29:51
  obviously
• 29:52
  the
• 29:52
  accident
• 29:53
  is
• 29:53
  a
• 29:53
  defining
• 29:54
  part
• 29:54
  of
• 29:55
  the
• 29:55
  origin,
• 29:56
  but,
• 29:56
  like,
• 29:57
  I
• 29:57
  wonder,
• 29:57
  you
• 29:58
  know,
• 29:58
  it.
• 29:58
  Like,
• 29:58
  imagine
• 29:59
  if
• 29:59
  that
• 29:59
  had
• 30:00
  not
• 30:00
  happened.
• 30:00
  Let's
• 30:01
  take
• 30:01
  it
• 30:01
  out
• 30:01
  of
• 30:01
  the
• 30:01
  equation
• 30:02
  for
• 30:02
  just
• 30:02
  that.
• 30:03
  Do
• 30:04
  you
• 30:04
  think
• 30:04
  that,
• 30:05
  you
• 30:05
  know,
• 30:05
  Matt
• 30:06
  Murdock
• 30:06
  still
• 30:06
  would
• 30:06
  have
• 30:07
  become
• 30:07
  Daredevil?
• 30:07
  I
• 30:07
  mean,
• 30:08
  obviously,
• 30:08
  would
• 30:08
  it
• 30:08
  be
• 30:08
  a
• 30:09
  blind
• 30:09
  career?
• 30:09
  But,
• 30:10
  like,
• 30:10
  what
• 30:10
  path
• 30:11
  would
• 30:11
  he
• 30:11
  have
• 30:11
  gone
• 30:11
  on
• 30:11
  if
• 30:12
  he
• 30:12
  hadn't
• 30:12
  had
• 30:12
  that?
• 30:13
  But
• 30:13
  let's
• 30:13
  say
• 30:13
  still
• 30:14
  had,
• 30:14
  you
• 30:14
  know,
• 30:15
  Jack
• 30:15
  Murdoch
• 30:16
  die,
• 30:16
  is
• 30:16
  killed
• 30:17
  by
• 30:17
  gangsters,
• 30:17
  all
• 30:18
  of
• 30:18
  that
• 30:19
  still
• 30:19
  happens.
• 30:20
  He
• 30:20
  still
• 30:20
  infused
• 30:21
  with
• 30:21
  Catholic
• 30:22
  morality.
• 30:22
  He
• 30:23
  still
• 30:23
  proceeds
• 30:23
  justice.
• 30:24
  Like,
• 30:24
  I
• 30:24
  wonder,
• 30:25
  do
• 30:25
  you
• 30:26
  have
• 30:26
  any
• 30:26
  thoughts
• 30:27
  on
• 30:28
  where
• 30:28
  Matt
• 30:29
  Murdock's
• 30:29
  life
• 30:29
  might
• 30:30
  have
• 30:30
  gone
• 30:30
  without
• 30:31
  the
• 30:31
  accident?
• 30:32
  Joe,
• 30:33
  I'd
• 30:33
  love
• 30:33
  to
• 30:33
  hear
• 30:33
  your
• 30:33
  answer,
• 30:34
  because
• 30:34
  I
• 30:34
  like
• 30:34
  your
• 30:34
  thoughts
• 30:35
  on
• 30:35
  the
• 30:35
  accident
• 30:36
  or
• 30:37
  accidents
• 30:37
  or
• 30:38
  things
• 30:38
  that
• 30:39
  occur
• 30:39
  to
• 30:40
  us
• 30:40
  in
• 30:40
  our
• 30:40
  life
• 30:40
  journey
• 30:41
  reveals
• 30:41
  our
• 30:41
  true
• 30:42
  character
• 30:42
  and
• 30:42
  how
• 30:42
  we
• 30:44
  react
• 30:44
  to
• 30:44
  that.
• 30:44
  So
• 30:45
  if
• 30:45
  this
• 30:45
  hadn't
• 30:45
  happened
• 30:45
  to
• 30:46
  him,
• 30:46
  what,
• 30:47
  is
• 30:47
  there
• 30:47
  a
• 30:47
  catalyst?
• 30:48
  Is
• 30:48
  there
• 30:48
  something
• 30:48
  else
• 30:48
  that
• 30:49
  would
• 30:49
  have
• 30:49
  sparked
• 30:50
  something
• 30:50
  else
• 30:50
  or
• 30:51
  just
• 30:51
  been
• 30:51
  the
• 30:51
  best,
• 30:51
  best
• 30:52
  lawyer
• 30:52
  in
• 30:52
  town
• 30:53
  kind
• 30:53
  of
• 30:53
  thing?
• 30:54
  That's
• 30:54
  exactly
• 30:54
  what
• 30:55
  I
• 30:55
  think.
• 30:55
  I
• 30:55
  think
• 30:55
  he
• 30:55
  would
• 30:56
  have
• 30:56
  continued
• 30:57
  on
• 30:57
  his
• 30:57
  education
• 30:58
  trajectory
• 30:58
  and
• 30:59
  have
• 30:59
  been
• 30:59
  an
• 30:59
  attorney.
• 31:00
  But,
• 31:01
  you
• 31:02
  know,
• 31:02
  the
• 31:02
  open
• 31:03
  and
• 31:03
  relational
• 31:04
  theologian
• 31:04
  in
• 31:05
  me
• 31:05
  says
• 31:06
  that
• 31:07
  God
• 31:07
  doesn't
• 31:08
  cause
• 31:09
  awful
• 31:09
  things
• 31:10
  to
• 31:10
  happen,
• 31:10
  doesn't
• 31:11
  cause
• 31:11
  disasters
• 31:12
  to
• 31:12
  happen
• 31:13
  to
• 31:13
  us.
• 31:13
  However,
• 31:14
  like
• 31:15
  God
• 31:15
  or
• 31:16
  the
• 31:16
  universe
• 31:16
  will
• 31:16
  use
• 31:17
  all
• 31:17
  of
• 31:17
  those
• 31:17
  things
• 31:18
  to
• 31:18
  work
• 31:18
  for
• 31:19
  the
• 31:19
  our
• 31:19
  best.
• 31:20
  Always.
• 31:21
  Yeah.
• 31:22
  And
• 31:22
  so
• 31:22
  I
• 31:22
  think
• 31:23
  without
• 31:23
  that
• 31:24
  accident,
• 31:24
  we
• 31:24
  just
• 31:24
  get
• 31:25
  like,
• 31:25
  maybe
• 31:25
  a
• 31:25
  great
• 31:26
  public
• 31:26
  defender,
• 31:27
  maybe
• 31:27
  a
• 31:27
  great
• 31:27
  attorney,
• 31:28
  Matt
• 31:28
  Murdock.
• 31:29
  But
• 31:31
  I'm
• 31:31
  trying
• 31:31
  to
• 31:32
  think
• 31:32
  how
• 31:32
  to
• 31:32
  say
• 31:32
  this.
• 31:32
  Well,
• 31:34
  you
• 31:34
  know,
• 31:34
  Will,
• 31:35
  when
• 31:35
  you
• 31:35
  did
• 31:36
  the
• 31:36
  podcast
• 31:37
  about
• 31:38
  sinners,
• 31:38
  and
• 31:39
  they
• 31:39
  talked
• 31:39
  about,
• 31:39
  like,
• 31:40
  the
• 31:40
  importance
• 31:41
  of.
• 31:41
  In
• 31:41
  the
• 31:41
  Mississippi
• 31:42
  Delta,
• 31:42
  like
• 31:43
  the
• 31:43
  black
• 31:43
  church
• 31:44
  needed
• 31:45
  the
• 31:45
  blues
• 31:46
  juke
• 31:46
  joint
• 31:47
  to
• 31:47
  exist
• 31:48
  side
• 31:48
  by
• 31:49
  side.
• 31:49
  Like,
• 31:49
  they
• 31:49
  both
• 31:50
  needed
• 31:50
  each
• 31:50
  other.
• 31:52
  And
• 31:52
  one
• 31:53
  without
• 31:53
  the
• 31:53
  other
• 31:53
  doesn't
• 31:54
  give
• 31:54
  you,
• 31:54
  like,
• 31:55
  full
• 31:55
  humanity.
• 31:55
  And
• 31:55
  I
• 31:56
  almost
• 31:56
  feel
• 31:56
  the
• 31:56
  same
• 31:56
  way.
• 31:57
  Like,
• 31:57
  Matt
• 31:58
  Murdock,
• 31:58
  with
• 31:59
  the
• 31:59
  accident
• 31:59
  of
• 32:00
  his
• 32:00
  dad
• 32:00
  would
• 32:00
  give
• 32:01
  him
• 32:01
  some
• 32:01
  motivation
• 32:02
  to
• 32:02
  do
• 32:02
  good
• 32:03
  and
• 32:03
  to
• 32:04
  like,
• 32:04
  maybe
• 32:05
  put,
• 32:05
  like,
• 32:05
  the
• 32:05
  gangsters
• 32:06
  of
• 32:06
  the
• 32:06
  world
• 32:06
  in
• 32:07
  their
• 32:07
  place,
• 32:08
  but
• 32:08
  without
• 32:09
  that
• 32:09
  other
• 32:10
  incident,
• 32:10
  that
• 32:11
  other
• 32:11
  great
• 32:11
  thing,
• 32:12
  horrible
• 32:13
  thing
• 32:13
  that
• 32:13
  happened
• 32:13
  to
• 32:14
  him,
• 32:14
  that
• 32:14
  he
• 32:14
  needed
• 32:15
  both
• 32:15
  to
• 32:15
  become
• 32:15
  who
• 32:16
  he
• 32:16
  is.
• 32:16
  I
• 32:16
  love
• 32:17
  that.
• 32:17
  Yeah.
• 32:17
  I
• 32:17
  had
• 32:17
  a
• 32:18
  counselor
• 32:18
  once
• 32:18
  when
• 32:18
  I
• 32:18
  was
• 32:18
  wrestling
• 32:19
  with
• 32:19
  a
• 32:19
  hard
• 32:19
  decision,
• 32:19
  and
• 32:20
  I
• 32:20
  was
• 32:20
  really
• 32:20
  kind
• 32:20
  of
• 32:20
  torn
• 32:21
  between
• 32:22
  two
• 32:22
  different
• 32:22
  kind
• 32:22
  of
• 32:22
  forks
• 32:23
  in
• 32:23
  the
• 32:23
  road
• 32:23
  kind
• 32:24
  of
• 32:24
  thing.
• 32:24
  And
• 32:24
  it
• 32:24
  would
• 32:25
  have
• 32:25
  been
• 32:25
  an
• 32:25
  alternate
• 32:25
  timeline,
• 32:26
  a
• 32:26
  big
• 32:26
  alternate
• 32:27
  timeline
• 32:27
  if
• 32:27
  I
• 32:27
  chose
• 32:27
  one
• 32:28
  or
• 32:28
  the
• 32:28
  other,
• 32:28
  you
• 32:29
  know,
• 32:29
  kind
• 32:29
  of
• 32:29
  kind
• 32:29
  of
• 32:29
  thing.
• 32:30
  And
• 32:30
  she
• 32:30
  looked
• 32:30
  at
• 32:30
  me
• 32:31
  and
• 32:31
  she's
• 32:31
  like,
• 32:31
  look,
• 32:32
  you
• 32:32
  know,
• 32:32
  maybe
• 32:32
  take
• 32:33
  the
• 32:33
  pressure
• 32:33
  off
• 32:33
  of
• 32:33
  it
• 32:33
  and
• 32:34
  say
• 32:34
  that
• 32:34
  whatever,
• 32:34
  whatever
• 32:35
  you
• 32:35
  decide
• 32:36
  to
• 32:36
  do,
• 32:36
  whatever
• 32:36
  road
• 32:36
  you
• 32:36
  decide
• 32:37
  to
• 32:37
  go
• 32:37
  down,
• 32:37
  God
• 32:37
  will
• 32:37
  bless
• 32:37
  it
• 32:38
  or
• 32:38
  redeem
• 32:38
  it.
• 32:39
  And.
• 32:39
  And
• 32:39
  that
• 32:39
  kind
• 32:40
  of
• 32:40
  took
• 32:40
  the
• 32:40
  pressure
• 32:40
  off.
• 32:41
  Off
• 32:41
  me.
• 32:42
  Now,
• 32:42
  of
• 32:42
  course,
• 32:42
  my
• 32:43
  actions,
• 32:43
  my
• 32:44
  decisions,
• 32:45
  matters,
• 32:46
  but
• 32:47
  it
• 32:47
  also
• 32:48
  takes
• 32:48
  off,
• 32:48
  like,
• 32:48
  you
• 32:48
  know,
• 32:49
  there.
• 32:49
  I'm
• 32:49
  not
• 32:49
  alone
• 32:50
  in
• 32:50
  this,
• 32:50
  and
• 32:51
  there.
• 32:51
  There's
• 32:52
  a
• 32:52
  cooperation
• 32:53
  that
• 32:53
  goes
• 32:53
  along
• 32:54
  with
• 32:54
  me
• 32:54
  in
• 32:54
  terms
• 32:55
  of
• 32:55
  the.
• 32:55
  The
• 32:55
  divine
• 32:55
  and
• 32:56
  my
• 32:56
  friends
• 32:56
  and
• 32:56
  community.
• 32:56
  That's
• 32:57
  a
• 32:57
  part
• 32:57
  of
• 32:57
  me.
• 32:57
  And
• 32:57
  so
• 32:58
  I
• 32:58
  think,
• 32:58
  like,
• 32:59
  yeah,
• 32:59
  his
• 32:59
  true
• 33:00
  nature
• 33:00
  would
• 33:00
  have
• 33:00
  been.
• 33:01
  I'm
• 33:01
  Going
• 33:01
  to
• 33:01
  be
• 33:01
  the
• 33:02
  best
• 33:02
  lawyer
• 33:02
  I
• 33:03
  can
• 33:03
  be
• 33:04
  and
• 33:04
  stand
• 33:04
  up
• 33:04
  for
• 33:05
  justice.
• 33:05
  But
• 33:05
  this
• 33:06
  extraordinary
• 33:07
  gift
• 33:08
  of
• 33:08
  heightened
• 33:09
  senses
• 33:09
  and
• 33:10
  this
• 33:10
  kind
• 33:10
  of
• 33:10
  radar.
• 33:12
  Radar
• 33:13
  ability
• 33:14
  to
• 33:14
  perceive
• 33:15
  life
• 33:16
  deeper,
• 33:16
  you
• 33:16
  know.
• 33:17
  Yeah.
• 33:18
  That
• 33:18
  kind
• 33:18
  of
• 33:18
  blind
• 33:19
  justice.
• 33:19
  You
• 33:19
  know,
• 33:19
  it's
• 33:20
  interesting
• 33:20
  that
• 33:20
  there's
• 33:20
  a
• 33:20
  lawyer
• 33:21
  who's
• 33:21
  blind,
• 33:22
  but
• 33:22
  yet
• 33:23
  there's
• 33:23
  other
• 33:23
  ways
• 33:24
  he
• 33:24
  experiences
• 33:24
  the
• 33:25
  world
• 33:25
  that
• 33:25
  are
• 33:25
  gifts
• 33:26
  to
• 33:26
  those
• 33:27
  around
• 33:27
  him.
• 33:29
  And
• 33:29
  yeah,
• 33:29
  maybe,
• 33:30
  Kevin,
• 33:31
  you
• 33:31
  can
• 33:31
  speak
• 33:31
  to
• 33:31
  that
• 33:31
  as
• 33:31
  someone
• 33:31
  who,
• 33:32
  you
• 33:32
  know,
• 33:33
  is
• 33:33
  in
• 33:33
  the
• 33:33
  disability
• 33:33
  world
• 33:34
  and
• 33:35
  has
• 33:35
  experienced
• 33:35
  ableism
• 33:36
  and
• 33:36
  all
• 33:36
  those
• 33:36
  things.
• 33:36
  Like,
• 33:37
  you
• 33:37
  know,
• 33:38
  would
• 33:38
  you
• 33:38
  be
• 33:38
  who
• 33:39
  you
• 33:39
  are
• 33:39
  without
• 33:40
  how
• 33:40
  you
• 33:40
  experience
• 33:41
  the
• 33:41
  world?
• 33:42
  Oh,
• 33:42
  and
• 33:43
  that's
• 33:43
  one
• 33:43
  of
• 33:43
  the
• 33:43
  reasons,
• 33:44
  like,
• 33:44
  Daredevil
• 33:44
  is
• 33:44
  one
• 33:44
  of
• 33:45
  my
• 33:45
  favorite
• 33:45
  characters
• 33:45
  is
• 33:45
  like,
• 33:46
  I,
• 33:46
  I
• 33:46
  always
• 33:46
  like
• 33:47
  the.
• 33:48
  How
• 33:49
  they
• 33:49
  handle
• 33:49
  that
• 33:49
  aspect,
• 33:50
  but
• 33:50
  I
• 33:51
  dance
• 33:51
  to
• 33:51
  that
• 33:52
  for
• 33:52
  myself
• 33:52
  personally.
• 33:53
  Yeah,
• 33:53
  I,
• 33:54
  you
• 33:54
  know,
• 33:54
  I
• 33:54
  talk
• 33:55
  about
• 33:55
  that
• 33:55
  all
• 33:55
  the
• 33:55
  time
• 33:55
  in
• 33:55
  my
• 33:56
  column.
• 33:56
  Like,
• 33:56
  I
• 33:56
  mean,
• 33:57
  you
• 33:57
  know,
• 33:57
  SMA
• 33:58
  is
• 33:58
  very
• 33:58
  intrinsic
• 33:59
  to
• 33:59
  my
• 33:59
  identity
• 34:00
  and
• 34:00
  like,
• 34:00
  I
• 34:01
  definitely
• 34:01
  would
• 34:01
  not
• 34:01
  trade
• 34:02
  it
• 34:02
  for,
• 34:02
  you
• 34:02
  know,
• 34:02
  if
• 34:02
  I,
• 34:03
  like,
• 34:03
  was
• 34:03
  given.
• 34:03
  If
• 34:04
  I
• 34:04
  was
• 34:04
  given
• 34:04
  somewhere
• 34:04
  about,
• 34:04
  like,
• 34:05
  oh,
• 34:05
  if
• 34:05
  you
• 34:05
  could
• 34:05
  live
• 34:06
  like,
• 34:06
  able
• 34:06
  bodied,
• 34:07
  I'm
• 34:07
  like,
• 34:07
  no,
• 34:08
  I
• 34:08
  wouldn't
• 34:08
  because
• 34:09
  there
• 34:09
  are
• 34:09
  so
• 34:09
  many
• 34:09
  people
• 34:10
  in
• 34:10
  my
• 34:10
  life
• 34:10
  I
• 34:10
  would
• 34:10
  have
• 34:11
  never
• 34:11
  met,
• 34:11
  you
• 34:11
  know,
• 34:11
  like,
• 34:11
  I
• 34:11
  mean,
• 34:12
  like,
• 34:13
  caregivers,
• 34:13
  including,
• 34:14
  I
• 34:14
  mean,
• 34:14
  but
• 34:14
  like,
• 34:14
  so,
• 34:14
  you
• 34:14
  know,
• 34:15
  some
• 34:15
  of
• 34:15
  my
• 34:15
  best
• 34:15
  friends,
• 34:15
  like,
• 34:16
  I,
• 34:16
  you
• 34:16
  know,
• 34:17
  it's
• 34:17
  very
• 34:17
  much
• 34:18
  been
• 34:18
  a
• 34:18
  part
• 34:18
  of
• 34:18
  it.
• 34:18
  And
• 34:19
  I
• 34:19
  like
• 34:19
  Joe.
• 34:20
  I
• 34:20
  very
• 34:20
  much
• 34:20
  agree.
• 34:20
  It's
• 34:21
  like,
• 34:21
  you
• 34:21
  know,
• 34:23
  it's
• 34:23
  like
• 34:23
  circumstances
• 34:24
  happen
• 34:24
  and
• 34:24
  then
• 34:25
  you
• 34:25
  still
• 34:25
  have
• 34:25
  this
• 34:26
  choice
• 34:26
  of,
• 34:26
  you
• 34:27
  know,
• 34:27
  how
• 34:27
  you
• 34:28
  want
• 34:28
  to
• 34:28
  respond
• 34:28
  and
• 34:28
  you're
• 34:29
  going
• 34:29
  to
• 34:29
  be.
• 34:29
  But,
• 34:30
  but,
• 34:30
  yeah,
• 34:31
  no,
• 34:31
  for
• 34:31
  me,
• 34:31
  I,
• 34:32
  like,
• 34:32
  I,
• 34:32
  I
• 34:32
  think
• 34:32
  that
• 34:33
  that's
• 34:33
  why
• 34:33
  I
• 34:33
  like,
• 34:34
  you
• 34:34
  know,
• 34:35
  Daredevil
• 34:35
  story
• 34:35
  so
• 34:36
  much.
• 34:36
  I
• 34:36
  think,
• 34:36
  you
• 34:37
  know,
• 34:37
  it
• 34:37
  very
• 34:37
  much
• 34:38
  speaks
• 34:38
  to
• 34:38
  disability
• 34:39
  community
• 34:39
  in
• 34:39
  that
• 34:40
  respect.
• 34:41
  Yeah,
• 34:41
  love
• 34:42
  that.
• 34:42
  Thanks,
• 34:42
  Kevin.
• 34:43
  Yeah.
• 34:43
  But,
• 34:44
  Andy,
• 34:45
  what.
• 34:45
  Do
• 34:45
  you
• 34:45
  have
• 34:45
  any
• 34:45
  thoughts
• 34:46
  on
• 34:46
  this?
• 34:46
  I
• 34:46
  know
• 34:46
  we're
• 34:46
  throwing
• 34:47
  out,
• 34:47
  like,
• 34:47
  a
• 34:47
  lot
• 34:47
  of
• 34:47
  topics
• 34:48
  on
• 34:48
  here,
• 34:48
  and
• 34:48
  again,
• 34:48
  there
• 34:48
  are
• 34:49
  like
• 34:49
  multiple
• 34:50
  people
• 34:50
  behind
• 34:51
  there.
• 34:51
  So,
• 34:51
  like,
• 34:52
  are
• 34:52
  there
• 34:52
  any
• 34:52
  of
• 34:52
  like
• 34:53
  Stick
• 34:53
  or
• 34:54
  Foggy
• 34:54
  or
• 34:55
  Jack
• 34:55
  Murdoch
• 34:55
  or
• 34:56
  anyone?
• 34:56
  Or
• 34:57
  is
• 34:57
  there
• 34:57
  anyone
• 34:57
  that
• 34:58
  really
• 34:58
  stands
• 34:58
  out
• 34:58
  to
• 34:59
  you
• 34:59
  in
• 34:59
  particular
• 34:59
  that
• 35:00
  resonates
• 35:00
  with
• 35:00
  you?
• 35:02
  I
• 35:02
  don't
• 35:02
  think
• 35:02
  necessarily,
• 35:03
  you
• 35:03
  know,
• 35:03
  his
• 35:04
  life
• 35:04
  is.
• 35:04
  His
• 35:05
  life
• 35:05
  story
• 35:05
  is
• 35:05
  a
• 35:05
  very
• 35:05
  different
• 35:06
  one
• 35:06
  from.
• 35:06
  From
• 35:06
  my
• 35:07
  own.
• 35:07
  And
• 35:07
  so,
• 35:07
  like,
• 35:08
  those
• 35:08
  kinds
• 35:08
  of
• 35:08
  relationships
• 35:09
  don't
• 35:09
  necessarily
• 35:11
  land
• 35:11
  in.
• 35:11
  In
• 35:12
  the
• 35:12
  same
• 35:12
  way.
• 35:13
  You
• 35:13
  know,
• 35:14
  I,
• 35:14
  I
• 35:14
  do.
• 35:14
  You
• 35:15
  know,
• 35:15
  I
• 35:15
  would
• 35:15
  echo
• 35:15
  that.
• 35:15
  You
• 35:16
  know,
• 35:16
  I
• 35:16
  think
• 35:16
  it
• 35:16
  makes
• 35:16
  a
• 35:16
  lot
• 35:17
  of
• 35:17
  sense
• 35:17
  that,
• 35:17
  that,
• 35:17
  that,
• 35:18
  you
• 35:18
  know,
• 35:18
  Matt
• 35:18
  Murdock
• 35:19
  was
• 35:19
  already
• 35:19
  on
• 35:19
  a
• 35:19
  trajectory
• 35:20
  to
• 35:20
  be
• 35:20
  some
• 35:20
  kind
• 35:20
  of
• 35:21
  champion
• 35:22
  for
• 35:23
  the
• 35:23
  less
• 35:24
  fortunate.
• 35:24
  And
• 35:24
  so,
• 35:25
  you
• 35:25
  know,
• 35:26
  that
• 35:26
  seems
• 35:26
  plausible.
• 35:28
  And,
• 35:29
  you
• 35:29
  know,
• 35:29
  as.
• 35:29
  As
• 35:30
  a.
• 35:31
  You
• 35:31
  know,
• 35:31
  he
• 35:31
  probably.
• 35:31
  You
• 35:32
  know,
• 35:32
  obviously
• 35:32
  the.
• 35:32
  The
• 35:33
  radar
• 35:33
  sense
• 35:33
  and
• 35:33
  all
• 35:34
  that
• 35:34
  is,
• 35:34
  you
• 35:34
  know,
• 35:34
  is
• 35:35
  a
• 35:35
  specific
• 35:35
  feature
• 35:36
  of
• 35:37
  how
• 35:37
  he
• 35:38
  got
• 35:39
  his
• 35:39
  powers
• 35:39
  or
• 35:39
  whatever.
• 35:39
  But
• 35:40
  it
• 35:40
  turns
• 35:40
  out
• 35:41
  that
• 35:41
  there
• 35:41
  are
• 35:41
  actually
• 35:42
  human
• 35:42
  beings
• 35:42
  that
• 35:43
  have
• 35:43
  taught
• 35:43
  themselves
• 35:43
  how
• 35:43
  to
• 35:43
  echolocate.
• 35:44
  So,
• 35:45
  you
• 35:45
  know,
• 35:45
  it's
• 35:45
  possible
• 35:45
  that
• 35:46
  if
• 35:46
  he
• 35:46
  was
• 35:46
  properly
• 35:47
  motivated,
• 35:47
  he
• 35:47
  could
• 35:47
  have
• 35:48
  even
• 35:48
  developed
• 35:49
  some
• 35:49
  level
• 35:50
  of
• 35:50
  that
• 35:51
  kind
• 35:51
  of
• 35:51
  way
• 35:51
  of
• 35:51
  navigating
• 35:52
  the
• 35:52
  world.
• 35:52
  But,
• 35:53
  yeah,
• 35:53
  that
• 35:53
  was
• 35:53
  kind
• 35:53
  of
• 35:54
  my
• 35:54
  only
• 35:54
  other
• 35:54
  thought
• 35:54
  from
• 35:55
  trying
• 35:55
  to
• 35:55
  bring
• 35:55
  in
• 35:55
  a
• 35:55
  little
• 35:56
  bit
• 35:56
  more
• 35:56
  science
• 35:56
  flavor.
• 35:57
  Yeah.
• 35:58
  Like,
• 35:58
  to
• 35:58
  have
• 35:58
  that
• 35:58
  ability
• 35:59
  as
• 35:59
  a
• 35:59
  lawyer
• 35:59
  to
• 35:59
  hear
• 36:00
  whether
• 36:00
  somebody's
• 36:00
  heartbeat
• 36:01
  goes
• 36:01
  up
• 36:01
  because
• 36:01
  they're
• 36:01
  lying.
• 36:02
  Like,
• 36:02
  you're
• 36:02
  a
• 36:03
  human
• 36:03
  lie
• 36:03
  detector.
• 36:04
  You
• 36:04
  know,
• 36:04
  you
• 36:04
  can
• 36:05
  walk
• 36:05
  around,
• 36:06
  tell.
• 36:06
  It
• 36:07
  gives
• 36:07
  you
• 36:07
  an
• 36:07
  upper
• 36:07
  hand
• 36:08
  in
• 36:08
  the
• 36:08
  courtroom,
• 36:08
  for
• 36:09
  sure.
• 36:09
  And
• 36:10
  the
• 36:10
  art
• 36:10
  you've
• 36:10
  thrown
• 36:10
  up
• 36:11
  here
• 36:11
  is.
• 36:11
  That's
• 36:11
  Samney,
• 36:12
  right.
• 36:12
  That's
• 36:12
  part
• 36:13
  of
• 36:13
  Sammy's
• 36:13
  run
• 36:13
  with
• 36:15
  Mark
• 36:15
  Wade.
• 36:16
  I
• 36:16
  think
• 36:17
  definitely
• 36:17
  that.
• 36:18
  That
• 36:18
  center
• 36:18
  panel,
• 36:19
  some
• 36:19
  of
• 36:19
  the
• 36:19
  other
• 36:20
  ones
• 36:20
  may
• 36:20
  have
• 36:20
  come
• 36:20
  from
• 36:20
  other
• 36:20
  places,
• 36:21
  but.
• 36:22
  But,
• 36:22
  man,
• 36:23
  find.
• 36:23
  Find
• 36:23
  Mark
• 36:23
  Wave.
• 36:24
  Sam
• 36:24
  Knee,
• 36:24
  like
• 36:25
  one
• 36:25
  of
• 36:25
  the
• 36:25
  best
• 36:25
  artists
• 36:26
  in
• 36:26
  the
• 36:26
  game
• 36:26
  of
• 36:27
  comics,
• 36:27
  and
• 36:27
  I'm
• 36:28
  gonna
• 36:28
  go
• 36:28
  hunt
• 36:28
  that
• 36:28
  down
• 36:29
  after
• 36:29
  this
• 36:29
  episode
• 36:30
  for
• 36:30
  sure.
• 36:30
  But,
• 36:31
  man,
• 36:32
  so,
• 36:32
  so
• 36:32
  good.
• 36:33
  So
• 36:33
  good.
• 36:33
  Yeah.
• 36:34
  Yeah.
• 36:35
  I
• 36:35
  mean,
• 36:35
  that's
• 36:35
  the
• 36:35
  thing.
• 36:36
  I
• 36:36
  just
• 36:36
  love
• 36:36
  that
• 36:36
  there.
• 36:37
  I
• 36:37
  mean,
• 36:37
  there's
• 36:37
  so
• 36:37
  many
• 36:38
  layers,
• 36:38
  both.
• 36:38
  It's
• 36:38
  like
• 36:39
  his
• 36:39
  powers,
• 36:40
  all
• 36:40
  the
• 36:40
  aspects
• 36:40
  of
• 36:40
  his
• 36:40
  origin,
• 36:41
  the
• 36:41
  people
• 36:41
  around
• 36:41
  him.
• 36:43
  Yeah.
• 36:43
  You
• 36:44
  know,
• 36:44
  and,
• 36:45
  you
• 36:46
  know,
• 36:46
  I.
• 36:46
  Andy,
• 36:47
  is
• 36:47
  there
• 36:47
  anything
• 36:47
  else
• 36:47
  you
• 36:47
  want
• 36:47
  to.
• 36:48
  Because
• 36:48
  do
• 36:48
  you
• 36:48
  watch
• 36:48
  all
• 36:49
  of
• 36:49
  the
• 36:49
  Netflix
• 36:50
  shows?
• 36:50
  I
• 36:50
  know,
• 36:50
  again,
• 36:50
  this
• 36:51
  episode
• 36:51
  started
• 36:51
  with,
• 36:52
  like,
• 36:52
  the
• 36:53
  connection
• 36:53
  of
• 36:53
  Iron
• 36:54
  Fist
• 36:54
  Daredevil,
• 36:55
  but
• 36:55
  is
• 36:55
  there
• 36:55
  anything
• 36:56
  else
• 36:56
  you
• 36:56
  want
• 36:56
  to
• 36:56
  say
• 36:56
  to
• 36:57
  that?
• 36:57
  Yeah,
• 36:57
  I
• 36:58
  mean,
• 36:58
  it
• 36:58
  really
• 36:59
  is
• 36:59
  more
• 37:00
  on
• 37:00
  the
• 37:00
  level
• 37:00
  of
• 37:00
  kind
• 37:01
  of
• 37:01
  an
• 37:01
  Easter
• 37:01
  egg.
• 37:01
  I.
• 37:02
  I
• 37:02
  don't
• 37:02
  recall
• 37:03
  from
• 37:04
  the.
• 37:05
  The
• 37:06
  Iron
• 37:06
  Fist
• 37:06
  series
• 37:07
  that
• 37:07
  anything
• 37:08
  really
• 37:08
  more
• 37:09
  was
• 37:09
  made
• 37:09
  of
• 37:09
  that.
• 37:11
  You
• 37:11
  know,
• 37:11
  certainly
• 37:11
  there
• 37:12
  was
• 37:12
  a.
• 37:12
  There
• 37:12
  was
• 37:12
  a
• 37:13
  storyline
• 37:13
  in.
• 37:14
  In
• 37:14
  that
• 37:14
  show
• 37:14
  of
• 37:15
  the
• 37:16
  malfeasance
• 37:16
  of
• 37:17
  the
• 37:17
  earlier
• 37:17
  generation
• 37:18
  of
• 37:18
  brand
• 37:19
  enterprise
• 37:20
  stewards
• 37:21
  and
• 37:21
  the
• 37:21
  ways
• 37:21
  in
• 37:21
  which
• 37:22
  they,
• 37:22
  you
• 37:22
  know,
• 37:23
  misused
• 37:24
  company
• 37:25
  resources
• 37:27
  and,
• 37:27
  you
• 37:27
  know,
• 37:27
  so
• 37:27
  that
• 37:28
  there's
• 37:28
  a.
• 37:28
  There's
• 37:29
  an
• 37:29
  arc,
• 37:29
  you
• 37:29
  know,
• 37:29
  a
• 37:30
  big
• 37:30
  part
• 37:30
  of
• 37:30
  the.
• 37:31
  The
• 37:31
  show
• 37:31
  and,
• 37:32
  you
• 37:32
  know,
• 37:32
  especially
• 37:32
  the
• 37:32
  first
• 37:32
  season.
• 37:32
  And
• 37:33
  I
• 37:33
  think
• 37:33
  part
• 37:33
  of
• 37:33
  why
• 37:33
  people
• 37:34
  were
• 37:34
  a
• 37:34
  little
• 37:34
  underwhelmed
• 37:35
  is
• 37:35
  that
• 37:35
  it
• 37:35
  was
• 37:35
  a
• 37:35
  lot
• 37:35
  more
• 37:37
  corporate
• 37:37
  business
• 37:37
  room
• 37:38
  dealing
• 37:38
  and
• 37:38
  less
• 37:39
  kung
• 37:40
  fu
• 37:41
  action.
• 37:43
  As,
• 37:44
  you
• 37:44
  know,
• 37:44
  Danny
• 37:45
  Rand
• 37:45
  wrestles
• 37:45
  with
• 37:46
  how
• 37:46
  to,
• 37:46
  you
• 37:47
  know,
• 37:47
  the
• 37:48
  legacy
• 37:48
  of
• 37:49
  being.
• 37:49
  Of
• 37:50
  inheriting
• 37:50
  this
• 37:50
  company
• 37:51
  after
• 37:51
  having
• 37:52
  spent
• 37:53
  many
• 37:53
  years
• 37:54
  in
• 37:54
  the
• 37:54
  east,
• 37:55
  sort
• 37:55
  of
• 37:56
  disconnected
• 37:56
  from
• 37:57
  all
• 37:57
  of,
• 37:57
  all
• 37:57
  of
• 37:57
  the
• 37:58
  wealth
• 37:58
  and
• 37:59
  the
• 37:59
  privilege
• 37:59
  and
• 37:59
  so
• 37:59
  forth
• 37:59
  that
• 38:00
  came
• 38:00
  with
• 38:00
  it.
• 38:02
  And
• 38:02
  so,
• 38:02
  yeah,
• 38:02
  but
• 38:03
  there
• 38:03
  isn't
• 38:03
  a
• 38:03
  specific
• 38:04
  moment
• 38:05
  in
• 38:05
  the
• 38:05
  snow
• 38:05
  where
• 38:06
  they
• 38:06
  go,
• 38:06
  oh,
• 38:06
  and
• 38:07
  we
• 38:07
  were
• 38:07
  up
• 38:07
  to
• 38:07
  this
• 38:07
  specific
• 38:08
  no
• 38:08
  good
• 38:09
  activity.
• 38:09
  And
• 38:09
  that's
• 38:10
  why
• 38:10
  there
• 38:10
  was
• 38:10
  a
• 38:10
  truck
• 38:12
  laden
• 38:13
  with
• 38:13
  toxic
• 38:14
  chemicals
• 38:14
  hurtling
• 38:14
  down
• 38:15
  the
• 38:15
  street
• 38:15
  in
• 38:15
  Manhattan
• 38:16
  or
• 38:16
  anything
• 38:16
  like
• 38:16
  that.
• 38:18
  But
• 38:18
  there's
• 38:19
  certainly,
• 38:19
  yeah,
• 38:19
  like
• 38:20
  I
• 38:20
  said,
• 38:20
  there's
• 38:21
  a
• 38:21
  general
• 38:21
  theme
• 38:21
  of
• 38:23
  we
• 38:24
  don't
• 38:24
  have
• 38:24
  the
• 38:24
  best
• 38:24
  interests
• 38:25
  of
• 38:25
  the
• 38:25
  public
• 38:26
  at
• 38:26
  heart.
• 38:27
  And
• 38:27
  so
• 38:28
  you
• 38:29
  can
• 38:29
  believe
• 38:29
  that
• 38:29
  perhaps
• 38:30
  there
• 38:30
  was
• 38:30
  something
• 38:31
  your
• 38:31
  corners
• 38:32
  were
• 38:32
  cut
• 38:32
  there,
• 38:34
  if
• 38:34
  nothing
• 38:34
  else,
• 38:36
  that
• 38:36
  led
• 38:36
  to
• 38:37
  Daredevil's
• 38:38
  situation.
• 38:39
  And
• 38:39
  that's
• 38:39
  why
• 38:40
  I
• 38:40
  love
• 38:40
  this
• 38:40
  series
• 38:41
  that
• 38:41
  we're
• 38:41
  doing
• 38:41
  about
• 38:42
  the
• 38:42
  Faces
• 38:42
  behind
• 38:42
  us,
• 38:42
  because
• 38:43
  it's
• 38:43
  so
• 38:43
  layered.
• 38:44
  Every
• 38:44
  one
• 38:44
  of
• 38:44
  us
• 38:45
  have
• 38:45
  that
• 38:45
  kind
• 38:45
  of
• 38:46
  layered
• 38:48
  influence
• 38:48
  in
• 38:48
  terms
• 38:49
  of
• 38:50
  experiences
• 38:50
  and
• 38:51
  people
• 38:51
  and
• 38:51
  situations
• 38:52
  and
• 38:52
  communities.
• 38:54
  The
• 38:54
  blessings
• 38:55
  and
• 38:55
  the
• 38:56
  challenges
• 38:56
  and
• 38:56
  the
• 38:57
  tragedies
• 38:58
  shape
• 38:58
  us
• 38:58
  who
• 38:58
  we
• 38:59
  are.
• 38:59
  So
• 38:59
  I
• 39:00
  really
• 39:00
  love
• 39:00
  examining
• 39:03
  are
• 39:03
  these
• 39:04
  heroes
• 39:04
  or
• 39:04
  these
• 39:05
  IPs
• 39:05
  that
• 39:05
  we
• 39:05
  really
• 39:06
  love
• 39:06
  to
• 39:06
  be
• 39:06
  entertained
• 39:07
  by
• 39:08
  and
• 39:08
  then
• 39:09
  reflect
• 39:09
  on
• 39:09
  our
• 39:09
  own
• 39:10
  lives
• 39:10
  to
• 39:10
  see
• 39:10
  the
• 39:10
  face
• 39:10
  behind
• 39:11
  us.
• 39:11
  So,
• 39:11
  yeah,
• 39:11
  I
• 39:12
  love
• 39:12
  this
• 39:12
  exercise
• 39:12
  and
• 39:13
  I
• 39:13
  love
• 39:13
  what
• 39:13
  this
• 39:14
  thought
• 39:14
  experiment
• 39:15
  and
• 39:15
  things
• 39:15
  we're
• 39:15
  doing
• 39:16
  with
• 39:16
  the
• 39:16
  series.
• 39:16
  So,
• 39:16
  yeah,
• 39:17
  well
• 39:17
  done.
• 39:18
  It's
• 39:18
  a
• 39:18
  blast.
• 39:18
  And
• 39:19
  yeah,
• 39:19
  I
• 39:20
  know
• 39:21
  there's
• 39:21
  a
• 39:21
  lot
• 39:21
  of
• 39:21
  great
• 39:22
  ones
• 39:22
  in
• 39:22
  this
• 39:22
  series.
• 39:23
  And
• 39:24
  speaking
• 39:24
  of
• 39:25
  that,
• 39:25
  again,
• 39:25
  you
• 39:25
  can
• 39:25
  check
• 39:26
  out
• 39:26
  the
• 39:27
  show
• 39:27
  notes
• 39:27
  here
• 39:28
  and
• 39:29
  see
• 39:30
  for
• 39:30
  the
• 39:30
  other
• 39:30
  episodes
• 39:31
  in
• 39:31
  the
• 39:31
  series.
• 39:31
  And
• 39:32
  Joshua
• 39:32
  wanted
• 39:32
  me
• 39:33
  to
• 39:33
  plug
• 39:33
  that.
• 39:33
  The
• 39:33
  next
• 39:34
  one
• 39:34
  will
• 39:35
  be
• 39:35
  him
• 39:35
  and
• 39:37
  regular
• 39:38
  systematic
• 39:38
  ecology
• 39:39
  Tolkien
• 39:40
  expert
• 39:40
  Nick
• 39:41
  Polk.
• 39:41
  The
• 39:42
  Joshua
• 39:43
  Nick
• 39:43
  will
• 39:43
  be
• 39:43
  doing
• 39:43
  another
• 39:44
  Tolkien
• 39:45
  themed
• 39:45
  episode
• 39:45
  on
• 39:46
  the
• 39:46
  Faces
• 39:46
  Behind
• 39:46
  Us.
• 39:46
  So
• 39:47
  you
• 39:47
  don't
• 39:47
  want
• 39:47
  to
• 39:47
  miss
• 39:47
  that.
• 39:48
  It'll
• 39:48
  be
• 39:48
  really
• 39:49
  good.
• 39:49
  And
• 39:50
  well,
• 39:50
  guys,
• 39:51
  I
• 39:51
  also,
• 39:51
  I
• 39:51
  forgot
• 39:52
  to
• 39:52
  come
• 39:52
  up
• 39:52
  with
• 39:52
  a
• 39:53
  bonus
• 39:53
  question,
• 39:54
  but
• 39:54
  I
• 39:54
  just
• 39:54
  thought
• 39:55
  of
• 39:55
  one.
• 39:55
  So
• 39:56
  we'll
• 39:56
  do
• 39:56
  after
• 39:57
  the
• 39:57
  main
• 39:57
  regard.
• 39:58
  But
• 39:58
  the
• 39:58
  bonus
• 39:59
  question,
• 39:59
  if
• 39:59
  you
• 39:59
  want
• 39:59
  to
• 39:59
  stick
• 40:00
  around
• 40:00
  after
• 40:00
  we'll
• 40:01
  be
• 40:02
  if
• 40:02
  you
• 40:02
  could
• 40:02
  pair
• 40:03
  Daredevil
• 40:03
  with
• 40:03
  any
• 40:04
  MCU
• 40:04
  character,
• 40:05
  put
• 40:05
  him
• 40:05
  in
• 40:05
  another
• 40:06
  movie
• 40:06
  TV
• 40:07
  show
• 40:07
  for
• 40:08
  an
• 40:08
  appearance,
• 40:08
  who
• 40:09
  would
• 40:09
  that
• 40:09
  be?
• 40:10
  So
• 40:10
  we're
• 40:10
  gonna
• 40:11
  be
• 40:11
  talking
• 40:11
  about
• 40:11
  that
• 40:12
  in
• 40:12
  a
• 40:12
  minute.
• 40:12
  But.
• 40:13
  But
• 40:13
  yeah,
• 40:14
  guys,
• 40:14
  this
• 40:14
  has
• 40:14
  been
• 40:14
  a
• 40:14
  blast.
• 40:15
  I
• 40:15
  always,
• 40:15
  you
• 40:15
  know,
• 40:16
  I,
• 40:16
  I
• 40:16
  could
• 40:16
  keep
• 40:17
  going
• 40:17
  on,
• 40:18
  especially
• 40:18
  on
• 40:18
  this
• 40:18
  topic
• 40:19
  for
• 40:19
  hours.
• 40:20
  Daredevil's
• 40:21
  my
• 40:21
  favorite
• 40:21
  Marvel
• 40:21
  character.
• 40:22
  So
• 40:23
  this
• 40:23
  is
• 40:23
  a
• 40:23
  ton
• 40:23
  of
• 40:24
  fun.
• 40:25
  And
• 40:25
  before
• 40:25
  we
• 40:25
  go
• 40:25
  to
• 40:27
  any
• 40:27
  recommendations
• 40:28
  y'
• 40:28
  all
• 40:28
  want
• 40:28
  to
• 40:28
  throw
• 40:29
  out
• 40:29
  either
• 40:29
  related
• 40:29
  to
• 40:30
  this
• 40:30
  topic
• 40:30
  or
• 40:31
  something
• 40:31
  totally
• 40:31
  different.
• 40:32
  Yeah,
• 40:33
  I'll,
• 40:33
  I'll
• 40:33
  recommend
• 40:34
  since
• 40:34
  we
• 40:34
  haven't
• 40:34
  talked
• 40:34
  about
• 40:35
  Iron
• 40:35
  Fist
• 40:35
  a
• 40:35
  lot,
• 40:35
  but
• 40:36
  that
• 40:36
  Matt
• 40:37
  Fraction
• 40:37
  run
• 40:38
  on
• 40:38
  Iron
• 40:38
  Fist
• 40:40
  back
• 40:40
  in
• 40:40
  the
• 40:41
  early
• 40:42
  2000s
• 40:43
  with
• 40:43
  David
• 40:43
  Aja
• 40:44
  as
• 40:44
  artist
• 40:45
  is
• 40:45
  really
• 40:45
  one
• 40:46
  of
• 40:46
  my
• 40:46
  favorite
• 40:46
  graphic
• 40:46
  novels
• 40:47
  and
• 40:47
  comic
• 40:48
  book
• 40:48
  runs
• 40:48
  of
• 40:49
  all
• 40:49
  time.
• 40:49
  And
• 40:49
  it
• 40:50
  was
• 40:50
  right
• 40:50
  when
• 40:50
  I
• 40:50
  was
• 40:50
  getting
• 40:51
  into
• 40:51
  comics
• 40:51
  and
• 40:51
  so
• 40:52
  and
• 40:52
  Matt
• 40:52
  Fraction's
• 40:53
  kind
• 40:53
  of
• 40:53
  debut
• 40:53
  into
• 40:54
  comics
• 40:55
  and
• 40:56
  yeah,
• 40:56
  I
• 40:57
  love
• 40:57
  it.
• 40:57
  I
• 40:57
  highly
• 40:58
  recommend
• 40:58
  reading
• 40:58
  that.
• 40:58
  And
• 40:59
  it
• 40:59
  goes
• 41:00
  into
• 41:00
  the
• 41:00
  origin
• 41:01
  story
• 41:01
  and
• 41:01
  other
• 41:02
  perhaps
• 41:02
  other
• 41:02
  iron
• 41:03
  Fists
• 41:03
  out
• 41:03
  there
• 41:03
  and
• 41:04
  this
• 41:04
  kind
• 41:04
  of
• 41:04
  legacy
• 41:04
  character
• 41:05
  of
• 41:05
  an
• 41:05
  iron
• 41:06
  fist
• 41:06
  that's
• 41:06
  been
• 41:06
  passed
• 41:07
  on
• 41:07
  one
• 41:07
  to
• 41:07
  the
• 41:07
  other,
• 41:08
  not
• 41:08
  just
• 41:08
  one.
• 41:08
  And
• 41:09
  then
• 41:10
  the
• 41:10
  art
• 41:10
  and
• 41:11
  it
• 41:11
  goes
• 41:11
  into
• 41:11
  the
• 41:12
  Rand
• 41:12
  Corporation,
• 41:12
  the
• 41:12
  responsibilities
• 41:13
  he
• 41:13
  has
• 41:13
  to
• 41:14
  jug
• 41:14
  around.
• 41:15
  So
• 41:15
  really
• 41:15
  good
• 41:15
  stuff.
• 41:16
  Very
• 41:17
  cool.
• 41:17
  Jill,
• 41:18
  what
• 41:18
  about
• 41:18
  you?
• 41:19
  We've
• 41:19
  said
• 41:19
  it
• 41:20
  already,
• 41:20
  but
• 41:20
  the
• 41:21
  Born
• 41:21
  Again
• 41:21
  series,
• 41:22
  I
• 41:22
  just
• 41:22
  really
• 41:22
  recommend
• 41:23
  it.
• 41:23
  I
• 41:23
  think
• 41:23
  it's
• 41:24
  fantastic.
• 41:24
  I
• 41:25
  finally
• 41:25
  just
• 41:25
  started
• 41:26
  the
• 41:26
  second
• 41:26
  season,
• 41:26
  so
• 41:27
  I'm
• 41:27
  a
• 41:27
  little
• 41:27
  behind
• 41:27
  where
• 41:28
  you're
• 41:28
  at,
• 41:28
  Kevin,
• 41:29
  but
• 41:29
  I'm
• 41:29
  loving
• 41:29
  it.
• 41:30
  Oh,
• 41:30
  let
• 41:31
  me
• 41:31
  know
• 41:31
  when
• 41:31
  you
• 41:31
  caught
• 41:32
  up
• 41:32
  because
• 41:32
  it's
• 41:33
  like
• 41:33
  there
• 41:33
  was
• 41:34
  a
• 41:34
  lot
• 41:34
  of
• 41:34
  big
• 41:35
  stuff
• 41:35
  happening
• 41:35
  in
• 41:35
  the
• 41:35
  last
• 41:36
  two
• 41:36
  episodes
• 41:36
  especially.
• 41:37
  Okay.
• 41:37
  But
• 41:38
  yeah,
• 41:38
  but
• 41:38
  it's
• 41:39
  been
• 41:39
  great.
• 41:39
  Yeah,
• 41:40
  awesome.
• 41:40
  Andy,
• 41:41
  what
• 41:41
  about
• 41:41
  you?
• 41:43
  Just
• 41:43
  for
• 41:43
  folks
• 41:44
  looking
• 41:44
  for
• 41:44
  Will's
• 41:44
  recommendation,
• 41:45
  which
• 41:45
  I
• 41:45
  would
• 41:45
  second,
• 41:46
  that
• 41:46
  book
• 41:46
  was

  because
• 42:44
  it
• 42:44
  is
• 42:45
  really,
• 42:45
  it's
• 42:46
  quite
• 42:46
  eye
• 42:46
  opening
• 42:47
  to
• 42:47
  see
• 42:47
  how
• 42:48
  those
• 42:49
  early
• 42:49
  stories
• 42:50
  contrast
• 42:50
  with
• 42:50
  kind
• 42:51
  of
• 42:51
  the
• 42:51
  modern
• 42:51
  conception
• 42:51
  of
• 42:52
  Daredevil.
• 42:52
  Daredevil.
• 42:53
  You
• 42:53
  know,
• 42:53
  you
• 42:53
  talked
• 42:53
  about
• 42:53
  all
• 42:53
  the
• 42:53
  layers
• 42:54
  to
• 42:54
  that
• 42:54
  character,
• 42:55
  but
• 42:55
  they
• 42:55
  were
• 42:55
  definitely
• 42:55
  added
• 42:56
  over
• 42:56
  time.
• 42:58
  He's
• 42:59
  been
• 43:00
  sort
• 43:00
  of
• 43:00
  built
• 43:00
  up
• 43:01
  over
• 43:01
  the
• 43:02
  many
• 43:02
  years
• 43:03
  and
• 43:03
  so
• 43:04
  yeah,
• 43:04
  to
• 43:04
  get
• 43:05
  a
• 43:05
  sense
• 43:05
  of
• 43:05
  the
• 43:06
  contrast
• 43:06
  between
• 43:07
  what
• 43:07
  early
• 43:07
  Daredevil
• 43:08
  comics
• 43:08
  were
• 43:08
  like
• 43:08
  versus
• 43:09
  the
• 43:09
  modern
• 43:10
  interpretations
• 43:10
  and
• 43:11
  the
• 43:11
  modern
• 43:12
  adaptations
• 43:13
  is
• 43:13
  interesting.
• 43:14
  Plus,
• 43:14
  there's
• 43:14
  just
• 43:14
  lots
• 43:15
  of
• 43:15
  goofy
• 43:15
  villain
• 43:16
  concepts
• 43:16
  to
• 43:17
  be
• 43:17
  amused
• 43:17
  by.
• 43:18
  Oh,
• 43:18
  I
• 43:18
  like
• 43:18
  that.
• 43:20
  That
• 43:20
  I'm
• 43:20
  definitely
• 43:20
  going
• 43:20
  to
• 43:20
  check
• 43:21
  out.
• 43:21
  But
• 43:21
  yeah.
• 43:21
  And
• 43:22
  then
• 43:22
  for
• 43:22
  me,
• 43:22
  actually.
• 43:23
  Well,
• 43:23
  since
• 43:23
  you
• 43:23
  brought
• 43:23
  up
• 43:24
  Matt
• 43:24
  Fraction,
• 43:24
  I'm
• 43:24
  actually.
• 43:25
  So
• 43:25
  I'm
• 43:25
  gonna
• 43:25
  recommend
• 43:26
  Monarch
• 43:26
  because
• 43:26
  I.
• 43:27
  I
• 43:27
  didn't
• 43:27
  know
• 43:27
  until
• 43:28
  I
• 43:28
  started
• 43:28
  watching
• 43:28
  it,
• 43:28
  but
• 43:29
  Mad
• 43:29
  Fraction
• 43:29
  is
• 43:29
  the
• 43:29
  co.
• 43:30
  Creator
• 43:30
  of
• 43:30
  the
• 43:30
  series.
• 43:32
  Yeah,
• 43:33
  yeah,
• 43:33
  yeah.
• 43:34
  He's
• 43:34
  one
• 43:34
  of
• 43:34
  the
• 43:35
  first
• 43:36
  creators
• 43:36
  that
• 43:37
  I
• 43:37
  met
• 43:37
  at
• 43:38
  a
• 43:38
  Comic
• 43:38
  Con
• 43:38
  when
• 43:38
  I
• 43:38
  went
• 43:38
  to
• 43:39
  Hero
• 43:39
  Con
• 43:39
  in
• 43:39
  Charlotte
• 43:40
  because
• 43:40
  he
• 43:40
  used
• 43:40
  to
• 43:40
  work
• 43:40
  for
• 43:40
  Heroes
• 43:41
  aren't
• 43:41
  hard
• 43:41
  to
• 43:41
  find
• 43:42
  in
• 43:42
  Charlotte.
• 43:42
  He's
• 43:42
  a
• 43:42
  North
• 43:43
  Carolina
• 43:43
  native
• 43:43
  and
• 43:44
  did
• 43:44
  that.
• 43:44
  And
• 43:44
  his
• 43:45
  new
• 43:45
  run
• 43:45
  on.
• 43:45
  On
• 43:46
  Batman
• 43:47
  is.
• 43:47
  Is
• 43:47
  outstanding.
• 43:48
  He
• 43:48
  was
• 43:48
  in.
• 43:48
  He
• 43:49
  was
• 43:49
  a
• 43:49
  big
• 43:49
  thing
• 43:49
  in
• 43:49
  Marvel
• 43:49
  for
• 43:50
  a
• 43:50
  while
• 43:50
  and
• 43:50
  I
• 43:50
  think
• 43:50
  they
• 43:50
  kind
• 43:50
  of
• 43:51
  chewed
• 43:51
  him
• 43:51
  up
• 43:51
  and
• 43:51
  spit
• 43:52
  him
• 43:52
  out.
• 43:52
  And
• 43:52
  then
• 43:53
  he
• 43:53
  went
• 43:53
  some
• 43:53
  indie
• 43:54
  route
• 43:54
  and
• 43:54
  then
• 43:54
  he's
• 43:55
  done
• 43:55
  a
• 43:55
  few
• 43:55
  things
• 43:55
  here
• 43:56
  and
• 43:56
  there.
• 43:56
  But
• 43:56
  his
• 43:56
  newest
• 43:57
  Batman
• 43:57
  is
• 43:57
  just
• 43:57
  outstanding.
• 43:58
  I
• 43:58
  read
• 43:58
  one
• 43:58
  of
• 43:58
  his
• 43:59
  Batman
• 43:59
  comics
• 43:59
  where
• 43:59
  he's
• 44:00
  having
• 44:00
  a
• 44:00
  conversation
• 44:00
  with
• 44:00
  the.
• 44:01
  The
• 44:01
  Joker
• 44:02
  and
• 44:02
  I,
• 44:02
  I
• 44:03
  just
• 44:03
  looked
• 44:03
  up
• 44:03
  and
• 44:03
  looked
• 44:04
  at
• 44:04
  my
• 44:04
  wife
• 44:04
  and
• 44:04
  said,
• 44:04
  I
• 44:04
  think
• 44:05
  that
• 44:05
  was
• 44:05
  one
• 44:05
  of
• 44:05
  the
• 44:05
  best
• 44:05
  comics
• 44:06
  I've
• 44:06
  ever
• 44:06
  read.
• 44:06
  And
• 44:06
  she
• 44:07
  was
• 44:07
  like,
• 44:07
  what?
• 44:07
  And
• 44:08
  I
• 44:08
  was
• 44:08
  like,
• 44:08
  I.
• 44:08
  I
• 44:09
  think
• 44:09
  that.
• 44:09
  Thanks.
• 44:10
  I
• 44:10
  think,
• 44:10
  I
• 44:10
  think,
• 44:11
  I
• 44:11
  think
• 44:11
  it.
• 44:11
  This
• 44:12
  is,
• 44:12
  this
• 44:12
  is
• 44:12
  up
• 44:12
  there.
• 44:13
  So
• 44:13
  anyway,
• 44:14
  I
• 44:14
  didn't
• 44:14
  know
• 44:15
  he
• 44:15
  was
• 44:15
  a
• 44:15
  writer
• 44:15
  on.
• 44:15
  On
• 44:15
  Mark.
• 44:16
  That's
• 44:16
  good.
• 44:16
  I'm
• 44:16
  glad
• 44:16
  he's
• 44:16
  getting
• 44:16
  gigs
• 44:17
  like
• 44:17
  that.
• 44:17
  Yeah,
• 44:17
  he's
• 44:17
  good
• 44:18
  because
• 44:18
  like.
• 44:18
  Yeah,
• 44:19
  yeah.
• 44:19
  And
• 44:19
  I
• 44:19
  remember
• 44:19
  like
• 44:20
  when
• 44:20
  they
• 44:20
  did
• 44:21
  the
• 44:21
  Hawkeye
• 44:21
  series,
• 44:22
  like
• 44:22
  that
• 44:23
  intro
• 44:23
  was
• 44:23
  taken
• 44:24
  straight
• 44:24
  from
• 44:25
  his
• 44:25
  work
• 44:25
  and
• 44:25
  they
• 44:26
  never
• 44:26
  credited
• 44:26
  him
• 44:26
  or
• 44:27
  anything.
• 44:27
  So.
• 44:27
  Yeah,
• 44:27
  I
• 44:28
  mean,
• 44:28
  yeah,
• 44:28
  it's
• 44:28
  a.
• 44:29
  It's
• 44:29
  the
• 44:29
  unfortunate
• 44:30
  side
• 44:30
  of.
• 44:31
  Of
• 44:31
  the
• 44:31
  business
• 44:31
  side
• 44:32
  of
• 44:32
  like
• 44:32
  the
• 44:32
  big
• 44:32
  two
• 44:33
  and
• 44:33
  all
• 44:33
  that,
• 44:33
  but.
• 44:34
  Yeah,
• 44:34
  yeah,
• 44:35
  yeah.
• 44:36
  Nice.
• 44:37
  Awesome.
• 44:37
  Well,
• 44:38
  everyone,
• 44:38
  thank
• 44:38
  you
