- 2:34Speaker 1: In now, before we get into this recap, I do
- 2:40Speaker 1: have to ask you, my darling, whether you had to
- 2:42Speaker 1: take away after this third installment the tell nothings.
- 2:48Speaker 2: I don't want to be negative, but I kind of
- 2:50Speaker 2: hate everybody, but especially like Janelle. This episode she made
- 2:54Speaker 2: me really upset because she's like thinking Cody's apologies not
- 2:58Speaker 2: only to her but to marry were genuine and sincere,
- 3:03Speaker 2: and then she's like dogging on David for his polygamy thing,
- 3:07Speaker 2: and I'm like, you're not even in it anymore. I'm
- 3:09Speaker 2: just like, you knowe. She's calling Mary sharp because of
- 3:13Speaker 2: how she reacted to Cody and her apology, and I'm
- 3:17Speaker 2: just like, Jenelle.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Go away. She's behaving like a woman under the constraints
- 3:22Speaker 1: of an nda is Yeah, a little bit. Yeah, I
- 3:25Speaker 1: think so as well.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Well.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I actually have two takeaways.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 3:28Speaker 1: My first takeaway concerns the actual one on one Tail
- 3:32Speaker 1: Nothing's because I just didn't feel the vibration that we
- 3:36Speaker 1: were actually concluding it next week with our fourth installment,
- 3:39Speaker 1: and it kind of just felt a little bit like
- 3:42Speaker 1: we might have a fifth stop it episode of the
- 3:45Speaker 1: Tail Nothing. I'm probably wrong. They did mention the catfish. Yeah,
- 3:49Speaker 1: in the preview, but they didn't give it a whole
- 3:51Speaker 1: lot of energy, and I thought we would. I just
- 3:55Speaker 1: suspect that we might have two more, not just yes, yes, yes,
- 4:01Speaker 1: that's my first thought. What do y'all think? And my
- 4:04Speaker 1: second thought kind of intersects a little bit with your
- 4:07Speaker 1: Janelle observation as it concerns David. I'm annoyed with David
- 4:13Speaker 1: why because he's coming across as a clout goblin, somebody
- 4:19Speaker 1: who really cannot wait to insert himself into the conversation
- 4:24Speaker 1: and for some reason does consider himself an expert on polygamy.
- 4:28Speaker 1: And granted, yes, he went to Mexico when he was
- 4:30Speaker 1: two and he saw some terrible things when he was
- 4:34Speaker 1: down there visiting his family or whatever, but the fact remains,
- 4:38Speaker 1: you were never a polygamist. You're hearing secondhand information from
- 4:43Speaker 1: your wife who obviously had a terrible experience. And I
- 4:45Speaker 1: think polygamy is bad. Yeah, I think it should be
- 4:47Speaker 1: a crime, and maybe I think it is a crime. Whatever,
- 4:51Speaker 1: it's wrong, and I think it's bad for women and children.
- 4:54Speaker 1: But like just the way he keeps needing to talk
- 4:57Speaker 1: about Cody's ego, which is fair, but like he needs
- 5:01Speaker 1: to be the one to make all of these points.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And I'm like, sit down, boomer geriatric person, no offense,
- 5:10Speaker 1: I'm a boomer geriatric person, but like, sit down, let
- 5:12Speaker 1: your wife talk. She's the one who has the lived experience.
- 5:17Speaker 1: We don't need to hear your interpretation of a lived
- 5:20Speaker 1: experience that you weren't even there to observe. I an't
- 5:22Speaker 1: always bothering me. He's bothering all week, stuck in the ice,
- 5:27Speaker 1: just frozen like Hans Solo to think about it, and
- 5:31Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know that I like him. I
- 5:32Speaker 1: don't like Christine either. Yeah, And somebody asked on the
- 5:35Speaker 1: Rudd It's like, why is she on the show?
- 5:37Speaker 2: I mean.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Point to see them in their airbnb's in the basement
- 5:44Speaker 1: having chats about polygamy, doing their boring things. I don't
- 5:49Speaker 1: care about you guys at all, unless you're going to
- 5:52Speaker 1: talk about like some details with specificity. Yeah, I don't.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I don't care about you. I don't care about you.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I don't care about you. Oh, bien, get it, get
- 6:02Speaker 1: a move on now, keep it moving. That's me take away, Sorry,
- 6:06Speaker 1: hot take, Sorry about it? Wow, sorry about it. That's
- 6:09Speaker 1: how I feel.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Well, let us know what y'all think in the comments
- 6:11Speaker 2: below about that.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Yes, absolutely, Now, without any further ado, let's get into
- 6:18Speaker 1: a Sister Wives season twenty pause, honey, pause right here,
- 6:24Speaker 1: because I do have to just say that I was
- 6:26Speaker 1: watching just a little snippet of the Sarah Fraser podcast
- 6:30Speaker 1: in which she was interviewing our very own Sukiana sou Kanya.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I saw clips of this, and Sukanya said
- 6:40Speaker 1: that she thinks there is going to be another wife
- 6:44Speaker 1: introduced with Cody and Robin.
- 6:47Speaker 2: That's wild.
- 6:48Speaker 1: It's sou Kanya's opinion that they actually love polygamy and
- 6:53Speaker 1: they're going to start looking for another partner. And I
- 6:58Speaker 1: just thought that was wild, because of course we've got
- 7:00Speaker 1: Cody just frothing at the mouth about how much she
- 7:02Speaker 1: hates polygamy and he wants to be a monogamist. But
- 7:06Speaker 1: I do think they're interpreting the writing on the wall
- 7:10Speaker 1: and they realize unless they do something with some drama
- 7:15Speaker 1: and impact people other than us because it's our Yeah,
- 7:19Speaker 1: people are gonna stop watching this show.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Oh my god. So they're just gonna like fake court
- 7:24Speaker 2: or whatever.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Conye say that with a lot of confidence. By the way,
- 7:27Speaker 1: it's not like she said it like, yeah, I think
- 7:30Speaker 1: maybe I think they could. She said, I think they will.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Well, but she's also I mean, are we gonna take
- 7:35Speaker 2: her seriously? Because she also thinks that like Cody's apologies
- 7:38Speaker 2: were somewhat sincere as well, and she kind of cops
- 7:42Speaker 2: for him a bit. Well.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Why though, Maybe it's because they've kind of brought her
- 7:46Speaker 1: into their little inner circle or whatever. Maybe she's privy
- 7:51Speaker 1: to information that maybe she's heard some chatter, some Mormon
- 7:55Speaker 1: chatter about an additional woman coming into the family. Listen,
- 8:00Speaker 1: if that happened, I would die. I would ship into
- 8:03Speaker 1: this room every week and sit my fat ass down
- 8:07Speaker 1: and talk about it. I would live, I would laugh,
- 8:10Speaker 1: and I would love that.
- 8:11Speaker 2: It would be pretty great to watch Robin get all
- 8:13Speaker 2: jealous too. I would love.
- 8:15Speaker 1: There's very few things I can think of that I
- 8:17Speaker 1: would love.
- 8:17Speaker 2: More than that.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I would love that we would eat the juicy treasure
- 8:22Speaker 1: the dumpster. Anyway, I had to say that. So now
- 8:25Speaker 1: back to our recap of Sister Wife Season twenty. Bitchhitch,
- 8:30Speaker 1: episode eighteen. I don't know of the one on one tail,
- 8:34Speaker 1: Nothing's take it away, boltros.
- 8:37Speaker 2: This was probably my least favorite one on one so
- 8:39Speaker 2: far because we didn't really get in. I mean, we
- 8:41Speaker 2: got into some stuff, but it was a lot of
- 8:43Speaker 2: like rehashing the past and like watching clips that we
- 8:46Speaker 2: why but we recap last week's conversation about Christine's apology,
- 8:52Speaker 2: and this is where David's like going on his little
- 8:54Speaker 2: rant about Cody and how he shouldn't have said he
- 8:58Speaker 2: loved her and also says it wasn't appropriate. She said specifically,
- 9:05Speaker 2: Cody should have just came there, I apologized for my
- 9:08Speaker 2: actions and then left. He shouldn't have said, oh so
- 9:11Speaker 2: I love too, because that was inappropriate. And you know,
- 9:14Speaker 2: I mean, I kind of agree with that sentiment because
- 9:16Speaker 2: if Cody was really wanting to apologize, he should have
- 9:19Speaker 2: just said, I'm sorry for being a major piece of shit,
- 9:22Speaker 2: asshole demon. Okay, bye.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Yeah. But I stand by what I said previously, which
- 9:30Speaker 1: was if you said it in a public fashion on
- 9:34Speaker 1: a national platform, if I said I didn't love her,
- 9:37Speaker 1: I never loved her, I wasn't attracted to her, then
- 9:39Speaker 1: on that same public platform and in front of the
- 9:42Speaker 1: same people, I'm going to take that back if it
- 9:44Speaker 1: was a lie. And I kind of decided with hard
- 9:48Speaker 1: face Robin about this when Well, when she was talking
- 9:52Speaker 1: about David actually be there, like Cody thought about it
- 9:56Speaker 1: and wanted to be appropriate, and so it was an
- 9:58Speaker 1: interesting take on something that they I found so terribly
- 10:01Speaker 1: inappropriate with something he did. In order to keep it appropriate,
- 10:05Speaker 1: I could see that it makes sense. But mainly my
- 10:08Speaker 1: thought is, who fucking cares? Who fucky cares well that
- 10:12Speaker 1: he apologized in the way that he did. You just
- 10:15Speaker 1: sat there, you took it, you went speed car racing,
- 10:17Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. Why are you so upset David Well?
- 10:20Speaker 2: And I'm like, why are we stretching it out over
- 10:22Speaker 2: to tell as Like we could have just finished that
- 10:25Speaker 2: last week and been done with it and gotten to
- 10:28Speaker 2: some more interesting conversations, but like, no, we had to
- 10:31Speaker 2: continue on this whole, like we're offended. I think it's
- 10:34Speaker 2: because Christine and David had nothing else to talk about.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Mm hm.
- 10:38Speaker 2: I feel like there was nothing else. There was no
- 10:40Speaker 2: other clips to like rehash with them, and so they
- 10:42Speaker 2: needed some kind of talking point, maybe to get their
- 10:45Speaker 2: bag or something. I don't know. I thought it was
- 10:48Speaker 2: interesting how Robin seemed a little I don't know, like
- 10:52Speaker 2: defensive over the fact that Christine was offended by it.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Because I think Robin wrote Cody's apology script, and so
- 11:00Speaker 2: I feel like she felt a little like personally offended,
- 11:03Speaker 2: Like I get it, Yeah, what do you mean my apology?
- 11:05Speaker 2: I mean Cody's apology was really great and thoughtful, and like,
- 11:09Speaker 2: what the hell Christine? I thought that was kind of interesting.
- 11:12Speaker 2: And then Suki asks Cody like, could you ever be
- 11:15Speaker 2: friends with Christine? And he kind of like walks around
- 11:19Speaker 2: this a little. He's like, well, I mean we could.
- 11:22Speaker 2: We should be friends, We should be friendly, but only
- 11:25Speaker 2: if trust can be resurrected.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, what about your pardon?
- 11:30Speaker 2: Hello?
- 11:31Speaker 1: What about all the things that you did? What about
- 11:33Speaker 1: all the things that you allegedly stole from this family,
- 11:36Speaker 1: including Christine? What about all the things that you put
- 11:38Speaker 1: her through? How are you going to resurrect the trust? Cody?
- 11:43Speaker 1: But it's never a conversation about that ever, is It's
- 11:45Speaker 1: always a conversation about what everybody else has to do
- 11:49Speaker 1: in order for the relationship to be healed.
- 11:51Speaker 2: He's just such a bitch.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Is such an eep bitchhit bitch, such a little bitch.
- 11:57Speaker 2: And then he also says that the reason and why
- 12:00Speaker 2: he chose Janelle first was because he knew that she
- 12:03Speaker 2: would be the safest one to apologize to, she'd be
- 12:05Speaker 2: the most receptive, and she'd be the kindest. And then
- 12:08Speaker 2: this kind of segues into a flashback of Janelle's apology
- 12:12Speaker 2: to Cody. I'm just like, why do we have to
- 12:14Speaker 2: like watch we already watched everythingle apology. Anyway, we flashed
- 12:19Speaker 2: back to Janelle's apology where Janelle was totally making goo
- 12:23Speaker 2: google guys to Cody.
- 12:25Speaker 1: She was googling those eyes.
- 12:26Speaker 2: She was googling them eyes hardcore. And we talk about it,
- 12:32Speaker 2: and this is Cody reflecting on the early years about
- 12:34Speaker 2: how he didn't protect Janelle from Mary's rass and the
- 12:39Speaker 2: unsafe environment that they were in because they were all
- 12:42Speaker 2: nude to believe, I.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Did appreciate his turn of phrase when he said that
- 12:49Speaker 1: it was Janelle who wanted to be a safe space
- 12:53Speaker 1: for him. That was interesting because that made me think
- 12:56Speaker 1: that Mary was just off her ever loving rocker. Yeah,
- 13:00Speaker 1: screaming and yelling and being emotionally unregulated. And so not
- 13:05Speaker 1: only does Cody have regrets about not protecting Janelle, but
- 13:08Speaker 1: Janelle also at the time was like, come to my bedroom. Yeah,
- 13:12Speaker 1: put your head on my bus side a little bit
- 13:17Speaker 1: while you're here. But let me comfort you because it
- 13:19Speaker 1: was a weird, toxic and of volatile environment is what
- 13:24Speaker 1: it sounds like. And you know what, just to skip
- 13:26Speaker 1: ahead for a second. Yeah, when Mary was talking about
- 13:30Speaker 1: those days, I don't think she took enough responsibility. I agree. Yes,
- 13:35Speaker 1: I mean sometimes I cry, and I'm sure it was
- 13:37Speaker 1: my reaction because I was emotional. I'm like, but did
- 13:41Speaker 1: sometimes you did? Sometimes you hit?
- 13:43Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 13:43Speaker 1: Did? Sometimes you scream? Did sometimes you scare people? Did
- 13:47Speaker 1: sometimes you emotionally abuse children? Yeah? Why don't we talk
- 13:51Speaker 1: about that, Mary? Why don't we worthy up in that regard? Yeah?
- 13:54Speaker 2: I thought that was kind of interesting because she definitely
- 13:56Speaker 2: danced around her responsibility with that. But I will say
- 14:00Speaker 2: I do agree with her in the sense of Cody
- 14:02Speaker 2: and Janelle probably weren't as empathetic to her and how
- 14:06Speaker 2: she was feeling, or that the fact that she would
- 14:08Speaker 2: have an array of emotions. She did say at one
- 14:11Speaker 2: point like I wasn't it wasn't okay and how I reacted,
- 14:16Speaker 2: So she had admitted to that, but then she justified
- 14:19Speaker 2: it by saying, but I had a lot of emotions.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Though I had a lot of fiefees and they were hurt,
- 14:24Speaker 2: and I.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Was wrong to have fiefees, right, I don't know. What
- 14:28Speaker 1: I'm like, was that you were wrong. It sounds like
- 14:30Speaker 1: you were crazy.
- 14:31Speaker 2: And that's like the thing. It's like it's a it's
- 14:33Speaker 2: a double edged sword because it's like, yeah, you are okay,
- 14:36Speaker 2: Like you're valid to have the feelings of betrayal because
- 14:41Speaker 2: Janelle broke up with her your brother to get with
- 14:44Speaker 2: yo man and was making these inappropriate comments.
- 14:47Speaker 1: About my kids to have his bill ewa ewa.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Yeah, Like that's weird and awkward, shady. So like I
- 14:55Speaker 2: agree with Mary on that. I understand that it would
- 14:57Speaker 2: have been a really tense, awkward time. And and then
- 15:00Speaker 2: watching Cody and Janelle just pump out those babies one
- 15:03Speaker 2: after the other and she couldn't have a kid of
- 15:06Speaker 2: her own for many years after that, Like I get it,
- 15:09Speaker 2: But that doesn't mean that you can be an abusive, volatile,
- 15:13Speaker 2: emotionally unregulated person. Correct, That's like that's the thing. But
- 15:16Speaker 2: like this whole conversation to me, like it was interesting,
- 15:20Speaker 2: but it was kind of annoying because I'm just like, man,
- 15:22Speaker 2: this is just stuff in the past. Why can't we
- 15:25Speaker 2: talk about stuff that happened.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Because there's nothing happening, but like.
- 15:27Speaker 2: We could talk about what happened like a couple of
- 15:29Speaker 2: years ago, or like what happened with Garrison.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Or Cody doesn't want to talk about that. So that's
- 15:34Speaker 1: the stuff that I think is under the purview of
- 15:37Speaker 1: the NDA. He doesn't want to talk about the children
- 15:40Speaker 1: at all. He doesn't want to talk about the money
- 15:41Speaker 1: at all. I mean he did a little bit like
- 15:43Speaker 1: the last episode, and I was, you know, TRN sixed
- 15:46Speaker 1: was trying to get information, but they have but beyond that,
- 15:50Speaker 1: they've gotten nothing going on other than they're scripted. I
- 15:54Speaker 1: get produced and manufactured scenes that are boring af well,
- 15:58Speaker 1: And like.
- 15:58Speaker 2: What was annoying for me and this whole Janelle apology thing,
- 16:02Speaker 2: Like Janelle said, the most healing part for her with
- 16:05Speaker 2: Cody's apology was him apologizing for their early years. And
- 16:08Speaker 2: I'm like, what about your kids? Though I don't know
- 16:11Speaker 2: the stuff that thirty years ago was the most healing
- 16:13Speaker 2: for you. I mean I understand, like there was probably
- 16:16Speaker 2: a lot of hurt and a lot of trauma. Obviously,
- 16:18Speaker 2: like they were failed from the start. I get it,
- 16:21Speaker 2: but like that was the most healing part for you,
- 16:23Speaker 2: not anything else. I don't know.
- 16:25Speaker 1: It makes me wonder if she for some reason can't
- 16:28Speaker 1: talk about the kids, if maybe that was a part
- 16:30Speaker 1: of the NDA, because like, why isn't that your primary
- 16:35Speaker 1: your chief complaint as it concerns Cody and Robin is
- 16:38Speaker 1: like the mental health and the struggles of your children.
- 16:41Speaker 1: And if you did sign an NDA that is keeping
- 16:45Speaker 1: you from talking about your kids, then why did you
- 16:49Speaker 1: do that? Right? What mother, having witnessed the devastation of
- 16:54Speaker 1: a situation like this, would agree, Okay, well, if you
- 16:56Speaker 1: give me like one hundred thousand dollars, I won't talk
- 16:58Speaker 1: about and take up for my own kids. Right either
- 17:01Speaker 1: way you look at it, it's problematic on Janelle's part.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Definitely, and that was what was frustrating for me. But
- 17:07Speaker 2: it was interesting to hear them talk about, like the
- 17:09Speaker 2: conflicts between her and Mary and like how Cody did
- 17:13Speaker 2: a terrible job at being a referee. I mean he think,
- 17:16Speaker 2: I think he says something like I should have been
- 17:17Speaker 2: a referee, but I'm a terrible referee. And there was
- 17:21Speaker 2: so much conflict, like between introducing a new wife and
- 17:25Speaker 2: having to share these two relationships and then our money
- 17:29Speaker 2: and blah blah blah, Like, I get it, it was hard.
- 17:32Speaker 2: He does admit that he should have done better, which
- 17:34Speaker 2: I thought was interesting. He said something though, like I
- 17:37Speaker 2: don't know what I could have done, but I'm sorry
- 17:39Speaker 2: that I didn't do it.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, and I hate that.
- 17:43Speaker 2: You could have reflected on it.
- 17:45Speaker 1: You could have thought about it. Yeah, you've had thirty
- 17:47Speaker 1: some odd years. Yeah, to take your own inventory if
- 17:50Speaker 1: you actually want to be a better person on the planet. Yeah,
- 17:53Speaker 1: especially when you're putting yourself out there on this show.
- 17:56Speaker 1: But he doesn't want to actually go into the details.
- 17:59Speaker 1: He doesn't want to expose the things that he did wrong,
- 18:01Speaker 1: so he just sweeps with this really broad brush and
- 18:06Speaker 1: that's what makes his apologies kind of ring hollow to me,
- 18:10Speaker 1: because I'm not willing, though, to hear everything Mary might
- 18:14Speaker 1: have to say, Like, if I've done something to you,
- 18:17Speaker 1: for real, I have to be willing to sit in
- 18:20Speaker 1: the space of that and let you feel however you
- 18:22Speaker 1: feel respond if I'm initiating a conversation, ye, and then
- 18:26Speaker 1: respect your decision whether you're gonna forgive me or not.
- 18:29Speaker 1: But like, you have space in that conversation, but there's
- 18:32Speaker 1: no space for anybody else, because he's really not interested
- 18:36Speaker 1: in forgiveness or even the apology.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Yeah, and what was kind of annoying for me is
- 18:41Speaker 2: like watching Janelle's apology back, like she just kind of
- 18:44Speaker 2: gives in to that dynamic with Cody. I think there
- 18:47Speaker 2: were parts, like little colonels where he was kind of
- 18:49Speaker 2: genuine or whatever, but he does kind of gloss over things.
- 18:52Speaker 2: He doesn't take real accountability for a lot of it,
- 18:55Speaker 2: and Janelle just kind of is like, oh, that's so nice,
- 18:58Speaker 2: it's so healing, Like she just gives in to it
- 19:01Speaker 2: instead of pushing him on it, which was what Mary
- 19:03Speaker 2: did in her apology a little bit.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Thank god.
- 19:06Speaker 2: I know.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Before we move on, we do have to talk about
- 19:09Speaker 1: Mary and Janelle and their little war of.
- 19:13Speaker 2: The rose with the dishes and stuff.
- 19:14Speaker 1: What did you think when Janelle said that Mary didn't
- 19:18Speaker 1: like when she put food down the disposal, and so
- 19:22Speaker 1: then she put more food down the disposal.
- 19:24Speaker 2: See, this is what I'm saying. It's like both of
- 19:27Speaker 2: them were going at each other, So it was maybe
- 19:30Speaker 2: it wasn't always Mary, and maybe Mary got pissed the
- 19:33Speaker 2: fuck off because Janelle was being passive aggressive like that
- 19:36Speaker 2: and doing things to get back at her. But I
- 19:39Speaker 2: mean they both kind of talk about it like that
- 19:41Speaker 2: was stupid stuff that we thought was so important back
- 19:43Speaker 2: then and now it's not important anymore. But I'm like,
- 19:48Speaker 2: but you talk about your past as if it's like
- 19:50Speaker 2: two different things. Either it's stupid childish issues that don't matter,
- 19:55Speaker 2: or it was volatile abuse, Like what is it? Don't know.
- 20:00Speaker 2: I think Mary was probably nitpicky as fuck.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Yes, Well, what did you think about her requirement that
- 20:06Speaker 1: the dishes get done the night before versus Janelle wanting
- 20:08Speaker 1: to do them in the morning.
- 20:10Speaker 2: I mean, what's the context of that. Was Janelle always
- 20:14Speaker 2: wanted to leave the dishes just sitting there rotten in
- 20:16Speaker 2: the sink at night?
- 20:18Speaker 1: Well, it sounds like that was her predisposition, Like she
- 20:20Speaker 1: didn't mind. She'd rather wake up fresh, lots of energy
- 20:23Speaker 1: do the dishes than for a huge ass family.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, And was Janelle working at the time,
- 20:28Speaker 2: Like that's the question too, Like that's true. Was she
- 20:31Speaker 2: coming home after a long day of work and like
- 20:33Speaker 2: just didn't want to do the dishes.
- 20:35Speaker 1: I think back in the early days, Mary was working too,
- 20:38Speaker 1: so I think maybe. But to me, I'm just going
- 20:41Speaker 1: to stand on this particular business, like, I am not
- 20:44Speaker 1: shutting down my kitchen for the night with a whole
- 20:46Speaker 1: bunch of bullshit. Yes, say in my kitchen, I don't
- 20:49Speaker 1: even want to see one grain of rice on my counter.
- 20:52Speaker 1: And so, of course, my big baboos of a husband
- 20:57Speaker 1: drinking whiskey on a Friday night at one am while
- 21:00Speaker 1: I'm sleeping, We'll go in there and just start rummaging
- 21:02Speaker 1: through the cheetos.
- 21:03Speaker 2: And a mess. And so then you're like Mary Brown
- 21:07Speaker 2: and You're.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Like, I'm seething. I'm seething. Sometimes I'll catch him and
- 21:11Speaker 1: I'm like, are you going to clean this up?
- 21:12Speaker 2: Though? That's an Earth sign thing?
- 21:14Speaker 1: Is it?
- 21:14Speaker 2: Because I get it?
- 21:15Speaker 1: And Mary's an Earth sign, but so's Janelle jal To Torris.
- 21:18Speaker 1: She's probably in April Tourus.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Though probably totally.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I don't even know the attributes of an April. I'm
- 21:27Speaker 1: a Tourus. We're awesome. But I mean Mary's a Capricorn,
- 21:31Speaker 1: also an Earth sign and definitely said in her ways yeah.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, And I mean I could see like that
- 21:40Speaker 2: happening quite frequently, because Janelle does strike me as a
- 21:43Speaker 2: little bit lazy, and that would probably get annoying after
- 21:46Speaker 2: a while when you're living with somebody in a small
- 21:48Speaker 2: trailer and you're like constantly watching them make a mess
- 21:52Speaker 2: and not pick up after themselves, like that would get frustrated.
- 21:54Speaker 1: And she's the one like pumping out all the kids,
- 21:56Speaker 1: so there are a lot of bottles. They're all hers.
- 21:58Speaker 1: I'm infertile and stop over here, like clean up your mess, bitch,
- 22:02Speaker 1: No exactly.
- 22:03Speaker 2: And I think Janelle kind of talks about this, and
- 22:06Speaker 2: I do like the way that she articulated it. She said,
- 22:09Speaker 2: all this stuff was kind of stupid. It was more
- 22:11Speaker 2: of an expression of a symptom. It was like an
- 22:14Speaker 2: expression of the conflict that was happening in their relationships
- 22:18Speaker 2: with each other. Like it wasn't even about the dishes.
- 22:21Speaker 2: It wasn't even about the drain and food going down.
- 22:24Speaker 2: It like it was about, Oh, Mary's hurt because I
- 22:29Speaker 2: fucked her brother and now I'm fucking her husband. I've
- 22:32Speaker 2: got all.
- 22:32Speaker 1: These kids curio period period and six seven.
- 22:36Speaker 2: That is like that was the symptom of it, and
- 22:39Speaker 2: Mary's bitter about it, rightfully. So I mean, can we
- 22:43Speaker 2: talk about like Janelle coming into the family and what
- 22:47Speaker 2: that meant, because Janelle also talked out of two sides
- 22:51Speaker 2: of her mouth with this. At one point she says
- 22:54Speaker 2: Mary and Cody pursued her, and then later in the
- 22:57Speaker 2: episode she says, oh, I actually pursue. Then they didn't
- 23:00Speaker 2: come after me like I wanted to join the family.
- 23:03Speaker 2: I'm like, so, what was it?
- 23:04Speaker 1: Then, conspiracy theory Cody kind of pursued her and probably yeah, like, oh,
- 23:10Speaker 1: Cody hurt that Janelle became available because he happens to
- 23:14Speaker 1: be married to Janelle's husband's sister. Yeah, and so maybe
- 23:17Speaker 1: he made some googling eyes at Janelle and she fell
- 23:22Speaker 1: for him. So maybe there was like a little some
- 23:24Speaker 1: sum that's I'm thinking on on the side.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Whoever called a couple of weeks ago, I forget the name.
- 23:28Speaker 2: I'm so sorry, but they had said that Janelle was
- 23:30Speaker 2: the first Robin. I'm kind of seeing it a little bit. Yes,
- 23:33Speaker 2: I'm kind of seeing it a little bit because when
- 23:34Speaker 2: Mary says that Janelle and Cody wanted to get married
- 23:38Speaker 2: on her birthday, I was surprised by that. Was that
- 23:41Speaker 2: in the book somewhere and I just forgot about it? Yeah,
- 23:43Speaker 2: and dumb it's.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Wait, no, you're not dumb, but it's something we've known
- 23:47Speaker 1: for a long time.
- 23:48Speaker 2: I was shocked again to hear that. I'm like, wow,
- 23:51Speaker 2: that's some dirty shit, right.
- 23:53Speaker 1: And when Mary was talking about them saying, well, we'll
- 23:57Speaker 1: just celebrate it on another day, yeah, I was asking myself, Will, like,
- 24:01Speaker 1: who has to celebrate on the other day? Are you
- 24:03Speaker 1: going to make me Mary celebrate my birthday on another day? Yeah?
- 24:07Speaker 1: Or are you talking about just moving your aniver? It
- 24:10Speaker 1: was cunty, Yes, it was twatty, super tawty even presumed
- 24:13Speaker 1: that that would be okay, yep. So there is something
- 24:16Speaker 1: wrong from the very beginning with the audacity of Janelle.
- 24:20Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. And so like, I can understand
- 24:22Speaker 2: why Mary would be so upset. I don't agree with
- 24:26Speaker 2: if she was actually volatile and verbally and maybe physically abusive,
- 24:30Speaker 2: because Cody says that she was a scrapper and she
- 24:32Speaker 2: would get in your face in front of anybody, in
- 24:34Speaker 2: front of anyone and just scream at you.
- 24:36Speaker 1: And I'm like, can you imagine young Mary was about it?
- 24:41Speaker 2: It was a bitch shit. So like, I don't agree
- 24:45Speaker 2: with that, but I can understand being upset and being
- 24:48Speaker 2: jealous and being intimidated by this new hot woman coming
- 24:51Speaker 2: over and banging your husband and popping out all these kids. Yes, like,
- 24:54Speaker 2: I get it, and it would have been nice to have, Suki,
- 24:57Speaker 2: I don't know, ask Janelle about that.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I would love to know that.
- 25:01Speaker 2: I would have loved to have that.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Ask a riveting clarifying question.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Hey, Janelle, Mary said that you wanted to get married
- 25:08Speaker 2: on her birthday? Do you want to talk about that? No,
- 25:11Speaker 2: we're not going to ask Janelle or Cody follow up
- 25:14Speaker 2: questions about things that are actually interesting. We're just gonna
- 25:17Speaker 2: ask Cody about why he thinks Mary's high maintenance, because
- 25:21Speaker 2: we get into that too.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Which he doesn't even explain. He literally doesn't.
- 25:26Speaker 2: He also says something like Mary was more emotionally open
- 25:31Speaker 2: to him, but then he doesn't elaborate on what that
- 25:33Speaker 2: means at all, even though Suki asks him about it,
- 25:36Speaker 2: he just goes on to something else.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Salad, I just I don't know.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Cody does say something interesting though, where he says if
- 25:43Speaker 2: he wasn't ridiculously optimistic in the early years, like they
- 25:46Speaker 2: would have never made it, which I thought was kind
- 25:48Speaker 2: of I don't know, nice to hear from him, to admit, like,
- 25:53Speaker 2: because I think Mary and Janelle hated each other from
- 25:56Speaker 2: the gut from the jump.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Absolutely yeah, And I can kind of see that in
- 26:02Speaker 1: the early seasons and sister Wripes, I can see this
- 26:05Speaker 1: kind of dare I say, innocence about Cody, like really
- 26:09Speaker 1: wanting to be a good father, trying to maybe. I
- 26:12Speaker 1: mean by the time we get to him in twenty
- 26:15Speaker 1: ten or whatever, it was like he's burning out and
- 26:18Speaker 1: he can't wait to meet his soul me. But you
- 26:21Speaker 1: can kind of see that exuberancing Cody in those early years.
- 26:24Speaker 1: So I can see when he marries Mary, what is he?
- 26:28Speaker 1: How old is he again?
- 26:28Speaker 2: Like two, she's nineteen nineteen.
- 26:31Speaker 1: They're so young. And then they marry Janelle and she's
- 26:35Speaker 1: what twenty three, twenty four. They're all so very young.
- 26:38Speaker 1: They're indoctrinated into a cult system.
- 26:41Speaker 2: YEP.
- 26:42Speaker 1: They're trying to do their best for the Lord and
- 26:45Speaker 1: for the family, and so I can see him really
- 26:47Speaker 1: trying to work it out, but also not having any
- 26:49Speaker 1: tools because remember he's the son of Wynn Right, who's
- 26:52Speaker 1: the ultimate stoic, alpha male, alpha hole rancher, who was
- 26:57Speaker 1: not expressive with his love for Cody, like the most
- 27:02Speaker 1: endearing thing that he ever did for Cody was give
- 27:04Speaker 1: him like a letterman jacket or something, and Cody was
- 27:06Speaker 1: like so gobsmacked because his father never expressed that. So
- 27:09Speaker 1: he had to figure out for himself how to be
- 27:12Speaker 1: a dad like that. Obviously, he got a lot of
- 27:14Speaker 1: things wrong, and he just couldn't manage these two turbo
- 27:18Speaker 1: bitches fighting all the time about the disposal and the dishes.
- 27:22Speaker 2: I kind of feel like he never even tried to
- 27:24Speaker 2: manage it. I feel like he probably told Mary to
- 27:27Speaker 2: just suck it up and endure till the end, and
- 27:30Speaker 2: she does kind of talk about that, and I feel
- 27:32Speaker 2: like he went to go to Janelle's room to bang
- 27:35Speaker 2: her and eat her pussy out and then complain about Mary.
- 27:38Speaker 1: That's too much. I'm just saying, get bridge too.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Far, you know. That's what it was, though, Like he
- 27:44Speaker 2: probably got tired of Mary.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Cody eats the box.
- 27:47Speaker 2: I don't think he probably ate Janelle's.
- 27:49Speaker 1: But I don't think he ate the box.
- 27:50Speaker 2: I think he probably did maybe once or twice with Robin.
- 27:54Speaker 1: He was Guba muff diving, he was busy, Guba Muff died.
- 28:00Speaker 2: I don't think he ate Janelle's box. With how much
- 28:02Speaker 2: he's been in love with her and making googly eyes
- 28:04Speaker 2: to her.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Take personally, I don't, I feel like, do we see
- 28:07Speaker 1: as a collective dumpster Cody being the kind of lover
- 28:11Speaker 1: who's generous, well no and can even perform gunny lingo.
- 28:15Speaker 2: I didn't say he had to be good at eating
- 28:17Speaker 2: the box.
- 28:17Speaker 1: I'm just saying I just can't work. I'm sorry. I
- 28:19Speaker 1: didn't mean to take us down into a very dark corner,
- 28:22Speaker 1: dark alley of awfulness.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Pussy eating you said it. I can't even remember what
- 28:28Speaker 2: my original point I remember now. I think Cody didn't
- 28:33Speaker 2: try to manage at all. I don't even think he
- 28:34Speaker 2: even tried to like sit them all down in a
- 28:37Speaker 2: room and be like, look, I love you both equally. Like,
- 28:40Speaker 2: I don't think he cared at all. I think he
- 28:42Speaker 2: was like, I'm just gonna go work, y'all figure it out.
- 28:46Speaker 2: I'm gonna come home, watch you guys fight. Can you
- 28:48Speaker 2: make me some eggs with some white pepper? And then
- 28:50Speaker 2: I'm gonna go to bed, and Janelle, will you come
- 28:52Speaker 2: in here and stuck my big Like that's what he did.
- 28:54Speaker 2: I think probably probably, And I do think that, like
- 28:57Speaker 2: when Mary was talking about how she couldn't have feel.
- 29:00Speaker 2: I think she was meaning like she wasn't even allowed
- 29:03Speaker 2: to express them. I think every time she tried to
- 29:06Speaker 2: Cody was like, deal with it.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Or maybe she came in too hot and true. I
- 29:12Speaker 1: think she put the target on her own back. I
- 29:14Speaker 1: think all of her emotions and perspectives are valid, and
- 29:18Speaker 1: I would probably share them, but she probably communicated them
- 29:22Speaker 1: in such a terrible way that people can't can't even
- 29:24Speaker 1: hear you when you're speaking, Henney, because you're screaming good point,
- 29:27Speaker 1: you're kicking dogs. Oh sorry that was Robin.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Oh true dog kicker. Yikes. And then we go into
- 29:37Speaker 2: like a whole conversation. It was basically the rest of
- 29:39Speaker 2: the episode of Christina David talking about how polygamy is bad.
- 29:44Speaker 1: I'm going astrol I'm flipping into another dimension where they
- 29:49Speaker 1: got something going on that's more exciting than this shit conversation.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I'm just like from the mouth of David.
- 29:55Speaker 2: And also we know, like, we know polygamy is bad,
- 29:59Speaker 2: we know Cody fucked up it polygamy, we know it's
- 30:03Speaker 2: not good for women.
- 30:04Speaker 1: We don't need David No to go on mouthpiece. I
- 30:08Speaker 1: know our new principal voice, our new anti no. I
- 30:13Speaker 1: don't want it at all. But then I was thinking
- 30:16Speaker 1: to myself as I was watching it in a complete rage,
- 30:20Speaker 1: that they keep talking about it season after season because
- 30:25Speaker 1: it is their entire identity. It is the thing that
- 30:30Speaker 1: their popularity, their fame, and therefore their money hinges on
- 30:34Speaker 1: is the fact that they are now former polygamists. Without this,
- 30:38Speaker 1: who are they true? Why would we care? So every
- 30:42Speaker 1: season we have to dredge up from the fucking, stinking
- 30:46Speaker 1: well the polygamy conversation. Don't they know that the only
- 30:51Speaker 1: people watching in season twenty have been watching since season one,
- 30:54Speaker 1: because there's nobody in the right mind who would pick
- 30:56Speaker 1: up at season eighteen and stay with it. No, for
- 30:59Speaker 1: it's us. It's the raccoon. We know about polygamy. Bitch.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Yeah, we do.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Shut up, Sit down, shut up, David, like.
- 31:07Speaker 2: We get it, And I will say again, I know
- 31:09Speaker 2: we've said it a million times before. I'm like, but
- 31:11Speaker 2: it would be so much more interesting to hear Christine
- 31:14Speaker 2: talk about, like, oh, how did you come to the
- 31:16Speaker 2: conclusion that polygamy was bad? How did you come to
- 31:19Speaker 2: the conclusion that you wanted to deconstruct your religion?
- 31:21Speaker 1: Yeah, what was the crisis of faith? Exactly that pivoted
- 31:25Speaker 1: you onto a new past, right and was there fear involved?
- 31:28Speaker 1: Were you excited like all of those so much making
- 31:32Speaker 1: a great conversation, But these people are but polygamy, it
- 31:36Speaker 1: was very bad. It's exploitative. Everybody's sad. Every time we look,
- 31:40Speaker 1: it's sad. Okay, thanks, we get it for this enlightened convo.
- 31:44Speaker 2: I will say I thought it was kind of annoying
- 31:46Speaker 2: that Janelle was seemingly offended that David was talking from
- 31:51Speaker 2: his experience.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Her stomach fell, I mean, chill.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Out, and Christina and David seemed kind of surprised by
- 31:58Speaker 2: that when Suki brought it up, saying that Janelle was
- 32:00Speaker 2: offended by David talking about it, Like.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Dude, last season or the season before, wasn't it Janelle
- 32:07Speaker 1: who was saying polygamy is bad? Ye? Wives, Yeah, and
- 32:10Speaker 1: she really believed it and she thought it would never
- 32:11Speaker 1: happen to her, and now look at her situation. But
- 32:14Speaker 1: because Christina and David are saying it, and now you're
- 32:17Speaker 1: under the constraints of an NDA and that I might be sued,
- 32:20Speaker 1: now you're all of a sudden like, who is he
- 32:22Speaker 1: to comment on polygamy?
- 32:23Speaker 2: It's so pretentious and self righteous. I'm like, shut up, Janelle,
- 32:26Speaker 2: you don't even believe in it anymore, So why are
- 32:29Speaker 2: you even offended?
- 32:30Speaker 1: Maybe she wants to get back with Cody. Ew maybe
- 32:33Speaker 1: she wants to get back with Cody.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Dude. If Janelle was my mom and she wanted to
- 32:39Speaker 2: get back with Cody, I would disown her. I would
- 32:42Speaker 2: go no contact. I'd be like, fuck you mom, you ho.
- 32:46Speaker 2: I'd be so mad.
- 32:48Speaker 1: I just get further and further entrenched, embedded, like a
- 32:53Speaker 1: tick in my position that Janelle's I hate to say
- 32:57Speaker 1: this about another mom, but like, she's not a great mom.
- 33:00Speaker 2: I don't think she's a great mom.
- 33:02Speaker 1: She puts her own self interests before everything else. She
- 33:06Speaker 1: gets off of work when she has five children that
- 33:09Speaker 1: are young that Christina's taking care of in a basement. Yep,
- 33:12Speaker 1: she gets off of work and she goes to the
- 33:13Speaker 1: fucking movies. Yeah, Christina is the one cooking the meals.
- 33:17Speaker 2: For the most, homeschooling all of them and being around
- 33:20Speaker 2: them and being an actual mom.
- 33:21Speaker 1: And then in the era of COVID the pan demic,
- 33:26Speaker 1: Cody's out in a mountain having this incendiary conversation with
- 33:30Speaker 1: Gaban Garrison and he's he's on television that season calling
- 33:35Speaker 1: them assholes and narcissists. Yep, And you're gonna sit on
- 33:40Speaker 1: the set in the Year of Our Lord twenty twenty five,
- 33:42Speaker 1: twenty twenty six, and you're gonna be like, oh no,
- 33:44Speaker 1: You're like, he's totally entitled to feel that way, and yeah,
- 33:46Speaker 1: he's completely sincere after your son has gone. I feel
- 33:51Speaker 1: like I'm being terrible, But like, the more we do this,
- 33:55Speaker 1: the less I like Janelle. I already can't stand Cody
- 33:58Speaker 1: and Robin obviously very dubious about Mary, and I'm side
- 34:02Speaker 1: eyeing Christine for sure, But Janelle, you're falling from Grace.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Definitely, so fast, so fast, And that's how I felt too.
- 34:09Speaker 2: And I was on the Reddit, so I was doing
- 34:10Speaker 2: my investigative journalism, and I guess people were saying episodes
- 34:15Speaker 2: of Sister Wives that were released internationally had extra scenes,
- 34:20Speaker 2: and I think we probably talked about this, like when
- 34:23Speaker 2: like season seventeen eighteen nineteen was coming out, but apparently
- 34:27Speaker 2: when Cody was going on as tirade about Janelle's older boys,
- 34:31Speaker 2: Garrison and Gabe, like being at home and leaving the
- 34:35Speaker 2: home periodically to work and like go kiss their girlfriends
- 34:37Speaker 2: and stuff during COVID, like Cody was telling Janelle they
- 34:40Speaker 2: need to leave or else I'm not going to come
- 34:43Speaker 2: visit you. And apparently, according to people on Reddit, the
- 34:47Speaker 2: international episodes had extra scenes where Janelle straight up told
- 34:52Speaker 2: no the older boys Garrison and Gabe, Yeah, so your
- 34:55Speaker 2: dad can't come over unless you guys move out. So
- 34:57Speaker 2: y'all need to move out, and so she kicked him
- 34:59Speaker 2: out because she wanted Cody to come over and eat
- 35:02Speaker 2: her pussy. No, yes, the extra scenes. We didn't get
- 35:06Speaker 2: those scenes in the US. I'm gonna start fakes.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Shadow boxing over the fact that some international people high internationals.
- 35:15Speaker 1: We have nothing but love for you, but like that,
- 35:16Speaker 1: y'all get content that we don't get in America. Yeah,
- 35:22Speaker 1: the original country of Oras it's supposed to be. We
- 35:27Speaker 1: don't see that. We would have been going for days,
- 35:31Speaker 1: I know, for weeks and months if we had seen
- 35:34Speaker 1: Janelle say something like.
- 35:35Speaker 2: That, and so I believe that. Yeah, it had a
- 35:38Speaker 2: lot of up dudes and stuff on Reddit, and so
- 35:40Speaker 2: people were like, yeah, that's what happened.
- 35:42Speaker 1: I have a fury inside of me. I don't know
- 35:45Speaker 1: that I can contain if that's true.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Yeah, And so I was reading that, I'm like, are
- 35:48Speaker 2: you fucking kidding me? So?
- 35:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:50Speaker 2: So after seeing that and after seeing this one on
- 35:53Speaker 2: one with Janelle, I'm just like, you know, I don't
- 35:56Speaker 2: like you, Janelle. I'm sorry, but you simp for Cody
- 35:59Speaker 2: too much. Yeah, And I just don't understand how you
- 36:03Speaker 2: can still have any ounce of grace or love for
- 36:07Speaker 2: a man who calls his own children his flesh and
- 36:10Speaker 2: blood narcissistic assholes on National TV, goes on to be
- 36:15Speaker 2: a total piece of shit to not only you, but
- 36:19Speaker 2: to Christine and Mary, and you're still gonna like sen
- 36:23Speaker 2: for him. You're still gonna give him the benefit of
- 36:25Speaker 2: the dow. I just don't get it.
- 36:26Speaker 1: This is the woman who went on a birthday date
- 36:29Speaker 1: with Cody during the pandemic to that fancy restaurant or
- 36:33Speaker 1: whatever in his convertible when Savannah, their daughter, hadn't heard
- 36:40Speaker 1: from Cody in several months. Right, he has just left
- 36:44Speaker 1: her on red He's ghosting your daughter, But you think
- 36:47Speaker 1: it's okay to get in the convertible and go have
- 36:50Speaker 1: a nacemeal in the Dona or whatever. Like that's who
- 36:54Speaker 1: Janelle is, that's her loyalty. It's not to her kids,
- 36:57Speaker 1: it's to Cody, And like, why I think that's where
- 37:00Speaker 1: we're gonna land on him. Yeah, that's the conclusion I'm
- 37:03Speaker 1: coming to. Yeah, are we crazy? What do you guys think?
- 37:06Speaker 2: Let us know. Maybe we're being too harsh, but I'm
- 37:09Speaker 2: just like, okay, suck huge, you know, bitch, and so
- 37:13Speaker 2: Playamy's bad. Okay. And David wants everybody to know that
- 37:17Speaker 2: he went to Mexico when he was two, and I
- 37:20Speaker 2: snory and this is his experience. And he's not talking
- 37:24Speaker 2: like he's an expert. He's just seen it time and
- 37:26Speaker 2: time again. And Cody's got a.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Big he can't talk at all.
- 37:31Speaker 2: No, he can't.
- 37:32Speaker 1: I can have a baby. But by my what did
- 37:34Speaker 1: he say?
- 37:35Speaker 2: He said?
- 37:36Speaker 1: What did he say?
- 37:36Speaker 2: He said? I don't have to have a baby to
- 37:39Speaker 2: know that it's hard to have a baby.
- 37:41Speaker 1: That's not what he said, though he sucked it up
- 37:43Speaker 1: when he's.
- 37:43Speaker 2: He did suck it up. But that's me.
- 37:45Speaker 1: I'm just like he's These aren't the intelligentsia of America.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Trying to sound like Cody Brown's people are not.
- 37:53Speaker 1: I know I'm saying, sound like construction workers pigs. I
- 37:57Speaker 1: couldn't believe he said that he brought it up again.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Construction Workers of Utah Unite. Yeah, Arizona Unite, because this
- 38:05Speaker 1: guy is putting on airs. You come from absolute poverty
- 38:09Speaker 1: until this show. You were in your thirties, you were
- 38:12Speaker 1: broke ass you were bankrupt, you were frauding the system
- 38:17Speaker 1: with your welfare and everything. And now all of a sudden,
- 38:20Speaker 1: you've got ten years of money and people are just
- 38:23Speaker 1: construction workers out here.
- 38:26Speaker 2: I think he's jealous because I think he's jealous because
- 38:32Speaker 2: David has an actual successful business and like they make
- 38:35Speaker 2: enough money to have a nice home in Utah, to
- 38:38Speaker 2: have several Airbnbs, and to have nice cars and stuff
- 38:42Speaker 2: and to travel. And Cody is living debt to debt financing.
- 38:47Speaker 1: House of Cards, House of Cards. Wind is blowing.
- 38:50Speaker 2: And he's broken. I think that's why he keeps making
- 38:54Speaker 2: like the construction worker did, because he's not even a construction.
- 38:57Speaker 1: That in front of America. And they're doing that at
- 39:00Speaker 1: a time when our economy is so fucking bad. I mean,
- 39:03Speaker 1: it's not the Great Depression, but it kind of feels
- 39:05Speaker 1: like it is just getting there, and you're gonna sit
- 39:07Speaker 1: up on national television and just kind of talk down
- 39:11Speaker 1: in a pejorative way to blue collar people. Yeah, fuck you,
- 39:14Speaker 1: dudeuck you forever. I can't wait you up and you
- 39:18Speaker 1: down sideways on.
- 39:19Speaker 2: The sideways, I can't wait, just waiting with my popcorn.
- 39:24Speaker 1: It's bad for you. It's bad for you to have
- 39:26Speaker 1: to hold that vibration. How is it bad when you're
- 39:29Speaker 1: holding that vibration inside of you, you're also attracting it
- 39:32Speaker 1: to you. Again, the Japanese call this botch.
- 39:34Speaker 2: I rebuke that and the name of well, okay, but
- 39:36Speaker 2: I rebuke.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Like, you're don't be like wishing for bad. It'll wishing,
- 39:39Speaker 1: don't you worry. Somebody's up there watching, and God has
- 39:43Speaker 1: his eyes and.
- 39:44Speaker 2: God is also there being like, yeah, Beatrice, I'm waiting
- 39:47Speaker 2: with my popcorn. Two, I'm kidding, And okay, polygamy is bad.
- 39:55Speaker 2: It's all about competing, countpeting, count peting. Mary says that
- 40:00Speaker 2: there was a lot of cunt peting in their family,
- 40:03Speaker 2: emphasis on content, and then Robin also has to bring
- 40:08Speaker 2: up how everybody in the family had to go talk
- 40:11Speaker 2: to Mary privately when they got pregnant to ease her feelings.
- 40:15Speaker 1: Okay, so that just made me wonder who, Yeah, because
- 40:20Speaker 1: how would you know that what babies came into being
- 40:23Speaker 1: other than your other And so that means it was
- 40:26Speaker 1: Robin who skipped her way over across the cul de
- 40:29Speaker 1: sac or whatever every time to tell Mary obey the
- 40:32Speaker 1: way in Pregos silbot. I'm sure that would be great,
- 40:40Speaker 1: got a nice fertile womb, nobody else had babies. But
- 40:43Speaker 1: you do you see what I'm saying.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Yes, she's a dumb old bitch. And I also think
- 40:50Speaker 2: I forgot to say this at the top of the episode.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Is my takeaway. But I think Robin's like over all
- 40:54Speaker 2: of this. I think she's been over it. I think
- 40:57Speaker 2: she's been tired of doing these tell alls and everything,
- 40:59Speaker 2: Like she's like, just leave you, old bets. Let me
- 41:02Speaker 2: live in my fucking mansion with all of your money, Like,
- 41:06Speaker 2: just shut the fuck up. I think she's tired of it.
- 41:09Speaker 2: And you can kind of see like glimpses of like
- 41:11Speaker 2: her real viper tongue coming out a little bit her
- 41:15Speaker 2: whole face. And during Janelle's apology, did you notice her face?
- 41:19Speaker 2: She looked constipated, She looked uncomfortable because Cody was saying,
- 41:23Speaker 2: like I did love you and I still love you.
- 41:27Speaker 2: Anything Robn was like, I didn't tell you to say that.
- 41:31Speaker 1: That wasn't in our script. Yeah. No, she looked angry
- 41:36Speaker 1: the entire time. She definitely did, and there were some
- 41:40Speaker 1: questions she just refused to answer. She's like, I don't care,
- 41:44Speaker 1: Like it's not my issue anymore.
- 41:46Speaker 2: That's them.
- 41:46Speaker 1: I don't care what they think. But you never cared
- 41:48Speaker 1: what they think though, And.
- 41:50Speaker 2: That's the real truth right there. And then we watch
- 41:53Speaker 2: a flashback of Cody's apology to Mary, like that wasn't
- 41:57Speaker 2: the last episode before these Tilna things, And Cody says
- 42:01Speaker 2: something like Mary was just coming in hot and wanted
- 42:05Speaker 2: to talk about why she was hurt. And I didn't
- 42:09Speaker 2: get that at all, Like Mary was like, why am
- 42:10Speaker 2: I even here on this park bench? But Cody's perception
- 42:14Speaker 2: was that Mary wanted to fight and Mary wanted to
- 42:17Speaker 2: talk about her past pain and I'm just like, you're
- 42:20Speaker 2: so delusional man.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, but that just kind of underscores that he
- 42:26Speaker 1: wasn't showing up to give her an actual apology. He
- 42:30Speaker 1: wanted to have a monologue. He wanted to just fill
- 42:34Speaker 1: a buster and say the things that he wanted to
- 42:37Speaker 1: say for the camera. Yeah, And there was no space
- 42:40Speaker 1: whatsoever for Mary to process any of it, and I
- 42:42Speaker 1: would agree, like she wasn't there to talk about all
- 42:44Speaker 1: the things that went wrong. In fact, she didn't bring
- 42:47Speaker 1: anything up. I mean, she tried to bring up the kids,
- 42:49Speaker 1: but you shut her down immediately. She was largely just
- 42:52Speaker 1: reacting to the fuck shit you were saying exactly, and
- 42:56Speaker 1: her reactions were completely normative and reasonable given the fact
- 43:00Speaker 1: that you are diabolical, yeah, an evil person yeah, and
- 43:05Speaker 1: you're taunting her across the picnic table.
- 43:07Speaker 2: He was totally taunting her. It was interesting to have
- 43:10Speaker 2: everybody else's reactions to the apology, so like Christine was like, yes, Queen,
- 43:15Speaker 2: I love this, this is awesome. And then you have
- 43:17Speaker 2: Robin saying something like this was just indicative of how
- 43:21Speaker 2: Cody and Mary's relationship always was. There were firecrackers just
- 43:24Speaker 2: always setting each other off, which I thought was interesting.
- 43:27Speaker 1: And I think that's true totally.
- 43:28Speaker 2: I think they definitely triggered each other constantly. But then
- 43:31Speaker 2: we have Janelle's bitch ass who says Cody's apology to
- 43:36Speaker 2: Mary was sincere. Then she says Mary was being too sharp,
- 43:41Speaker 2: but that's just how they always were. And I'm just like,
- 43:44Speaker 2: at what point, do you think Cody was sincere in
- 43:46Speaker 2: his apology to Mary? And why are you even giving
- 43:50Speaker 2: him that grace?
- 43:53Speaker 1: Out of all of the apologies, and they were all dogshit. Yep,
- 43:57Speaker 1: her apology was the most disingenuous and the most insincere.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 44:02Speaker 1: It's so clear to see from like people just watching
- 44:06Speaker 1: on the internet or on television, And I think Janelle
- 44:09Speaker 1: knows full well that Cody wasn't sincere. And I think
- 44:13Speaker 1: it's very telling that she couldn't just have Mary's back
- 44:16Speaker 1: in that situation and say something like, well, you know, yeah,
- 44:19Speaker 1: she's got some angry energy, but she has every right
- 44:23Speaker 1: to feel that way, you know, and he should not.
- 44:25Speaker 1: I mean, all of the things she could have said
- 44:27Speaker 1: in defense of just another woman who has to deal
- 44:30Speaker 1: with Cody Brown, like would have been great, but she's
- 44:34Speaker 1: not doing it for whatever reason. I just don't get
- 44:37Speaker 1: it what she's giving us.
- 44:39Speaker 2: And then she also says Cody had a right to
- 44:42Speaker 2: say his opinions about what Mary's friends say about him,
- 44:46Speaker 2: because Mary's friends are talking about him or something. So
- 44:49Speaker 2: I'm like, Okay, you're corroborating this whole thing. Like people
- 44:52Speaker 2: are allowed to say whatever they want to say about
- 44:55Speaker 2: Cody the Brown. But Janelle was like trying to justify
- 45:00Speaker 2: Cody bringing up Mary's friends in his apology and trying
- 45:04Speaker 2: to justify like, yeah, he's allowed to, he's allowed to
- 45:06Speaker 2: bring that up. He's allowed to.
- 45:08Speaker 1: What about you know, all of your weird friends and
- 45:10Speaker 1: Nolin's and stuff, asking about whether he's wearing a visor
- 45:13Speaker 1: and stuff and making fun of his hair and all
- 45:15Speaker 1: right that, Like, I mean, I would imagine she would
- 45:18Speaker 1: keep the same energy if he called out her friends,
- 45:21Speaker 1: which he did not, I mean, on its face, she's correct,
- 45:25Speaker 1: like they said it publicly so he can respond or whatever,
- 45:29Speaker 1: Like you don't need to do that. You can kind
- 45:31Speaker 1: of just be a girl's girl and be like, well,
- 45:33Speaker 1: we have friends, and our friends are going to stick
- 45:35Speaker 1: up for us. And like, I'm sorry, Cody, but this
- 45:37Speaker 1: is based on your own behavior. Like just don't listen
- 45:41Speaker 1: to it. You don't have to respond to it. That's
- 45:43Speaker 1: what I would have said. I agree with that, But
- 45:46Speaker 1: but not our girl Janelle, No.
- 45:48Speaker 2: Because obviously she's not a girl's girl. She was Cody's girl,
- 45:51Speaker 2: and that's how she's gonna Maybe.
- 45:53Speaker 1: She's still Cody's girl. Maybe that's why Robin looks so
- 45:56Speaker 1: angry because Robin knows that she's still Cody girl. Because
- 46:00Speaker 1: remember first episode of The Tell Nothings, he said I
- 46:05Speaker 1: loved her and maybe I still love her or I
- 46:07Speaker 1: love her, and however he phrased it, it was in
- 46:10Speaker 1: the present tense, first person.
- 46:13Speaker 2: You're right, declaring his love for Joe. You're right. Maybe
- 46:17Speaker 2: she's the new wife. Maybe they bring her back. That'd
- 46:20Speaker 2: be crazy.
- 46:21Speaker 1: I would love that too, though.
- 46:22Speaker 2: That would be wild.
- 46:24Speaker 1: That would be like a left field X factor that
- 46:27Speaker 1: I could get behind.
- 46:28Speaker 2: Maybe Tieta Arms fails and Janelle goes back to Flagstaff
- 46:32Speaker 2: and it's like.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Daddy, do you remember our renaissance in Las Vegas in
- 46:38Speaker 1: the cul de Sac?
- 46:40Speaker 2: Oh my god, I would pass away. And then at
- 46:44Speaker 2: the end of this whole flashback to Mary's apology, Cody
- 46:48Speaker 2: says he doesn't want Mary's friends going on the internets
- 46:53Speaker 2: and going on TV saying that he was an asshole
- 46:55Speaker 2: and that he was insincere because he was sincere in
- 46:58Speaker 2: his apology to Mary. But that's the root of it.
- 47:01Speaker 2: He just doesn't want people talking shit about him, which
- 47:04Speaker 2: I just think is funny. And then he I think
- 47:06Speaker 2: Suki asks him, like, well, what went wrong between you
- 47:09Speaker 2: and Mary? Between you know you moving her out and
- 47:12Speaker 2: then this park apology and Cody says that after he
- 47:18Speaker 2: moved her out, they started talking through lawyers and one
- 47:23Speaker 2: of them thought the other drew first blood, and so
- 47:26Speaker 2: then they just went for the jugular. And then that's
- 47:28Speaker 2: how we end the episode.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Right with Suki asking him basically, what did Mary do
- 47:34Speaker 1: to offend you?
- 47:35Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 47:35Speaker 1: Right, and that's it. He's not going to answer that. No,
- 47:38Speaker 1: he's going to dance around that, and so is Mary.
- 47:40Speaker 2: So definitely. So let me get to the preview, and
- 47:43Speaker 2: we have Jen coming back and she says that there's
- 47:45Speaker 2: times when something will happen and Cody will call her
- 47:49Speaker 2: text Mary, and this is where his true colors come out,
- 47:52Speaker 2: and so it comes out off camera, behind the scenes,
- 47:55Speaker 2: so nobody gets to see the real Cody.
- 47:57Speaker 1: Brown and it's just not okay mm hmm.
- 48:00Speaker 2: And then Cody says Jen had some influence over Mary
- 48:04Speaker 2: leaving the family, so he thinks that that was the
- 48:06Speaker 2: recent why Mary wanted to come okay delusional. Then we
- 48:10Speaker 2: have Janelle also kind of corroborating this, saying that Jen
- 48:14Speaker 2: at one point came up to her and told her
- 48:17Speaker 2: that she told Mary to take all the money and
- 48:21Speaker 2: run away. And at this point in time, Jen and
- 48:25Speaker 2: Mary or Jenina Janelle had some kind of professional relationship,
- 48:28Speaker 2: so after she made that comment to her, which she
- 48:30Speaker 2: found very inappropriate and uncomfortable, she ended the professional relationship.
- 48:34Speaker 2: And I'm just like, fuck you.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Shady boots the house down, Janelle.
- 48:39Speaker 2: I'm just like, what is this? And then Christine says
- 48:42Speaker 2: that this story about jen saying this to Mary is
- 48:47Speaker 2: probably sarcastic. It probably wasn't even anything serious. And then
- 48:51Speaker 2: Mary says that this story to her seems recently fabricated,
- 48:56Speaker 2: so she thinks it's all complete bullshit. And we have
- 49:00Speaker 2: Suki asking Robin if Mary could ever have a reason
- 49:03Speaker 2: to distrust her, and Robin's like, no, absolutely not, I'm
- 49:06Speaker 2: so trustworthy, and then we have Cody crashing out about
- 49:10Speaker 2: the affair and a catfish.
- 49:11Speaker 1: And that's really all I want to talk about, is
- 49:13Speaker 1: the catfish same because based on previous previews, it seemed
- 49:19Speaker 1: to be that somebody was implying that Robin had a
- 49:23Speaker 1: hand in it.
- 49:23Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 49:24Speaker 1: Which is the scene where Cody starts crashing out because
- 49:27Speaker 1: he's entitled to know whether he's got a wife cheating
- 49:29Speaker 1: on him or whatever.
- 49:30Speaker 2: Yep.
- 49:31Speaker 1: So I just I'm I'm very interested to see whether
- 49:34Speaker 1: we're going to get some additional details. Of course, we
- 49:36Speaker 1: already know what happened and the role that Robin played
- 49:39Speaker 1: in it, and Kendra and all of that stuff, but
- 49:43Speaker 1: nobody's ever talked about it on the show proper. So
- 49:45Speaker 1: I am excited to see them absolutely deliver nothing next time.
- 49:50Speaker 1: It's gonna be great.
- 49:52Speaker 2: I feel like they're just dangling the carrot like they
- 49:54Speaker 2: always do. But I just really want to see him
- 49:56Speaker 2: crash out. Is that terrible? No, I'm a terrible person,
- 49:58Speaker 2: but not a terrible person. Lose your cool, Cody. I
- 50:02Speaker 2: want to see it. Yeah, that's it.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, that installment was kind of super repetitives mid
- 50:13Speaker 1: very much a nothing burger. Didn't get much out of it. Yeah,
- 50:17Speaker 1: you know. My takeaway is I'm done with Christine. My
- 50:21Speaker 1: ending of the episode takeaways, I'm done with Christine and
- 50:24Speaker 1: David Chanel. You're awful Countyhood. Did Mary? I mean, keep
- 50:28Speaker 1: it up, honey, Because there was rumors or something like
- 50:31Speaker 1: somebody mentioned that Mary made a comment that she's writing
- 50:35Speaker 1: a book. Did you see that somewhere?
- 50:38Speaker 2: Yeah? I saw it. I thought she said she wasn't.
- 50:40Speaker 1: She's well, I didn't say it was going to be
- 50:44Speaker 1: a petty book, or she didn't say it was going
- 50:45Speaker 1: to be a petty book. She said, this is what
- 50:48Speaker 1: I'm saying. She said she's writing a book, and she
- 50:52Speaker 1: kind of said it as a throwaway comment. Somebody heard
- 50:55Speaker 1: it and then we talked about it on Reddit or whatever.
- 50:58Speaker 1: But the question is, what kind of book are we
- 51:00Speaker 1: going to get this milk toast, watered down worthy up
- 51:05Speaker 1: version like we got with Christine with like a little
- 51:08Speaker 1: bit of breadcrumbs but hardly anything at all, Or are
- 51:12Speaker 1: you going to tell the truth? Is the truth in you?
- 51:15Speaker 1: Does it live in you anywhere?
- 51:17Speaker 2: Mary?
- 51:18Speaker 1: Because it's not in the hair.
- 51:19Speaker 2: No, it's not on the hair.
- 51:21Speaker 1: And another thing I saw regarding Mary and the hair,
- 51:24Speaker 1: somebody posted a picture of an AI generated Mary with
- 51:28Speaker 1: like bangs that kind of swooped and then like a
- 51:31Speaker 1: long oh like abe kind of like a longer hair
- 51:36Speaker 1: with some highlights. Definitely not you know, yeah, straight iron crispy,
- 51:42Speaker 1: or a little bit of some facelift action, not that
- 51:46Speaker 1: I would recommend. She doesn't necessarily, she doesn't need that
- 51:49Speaker 1: or anything, Like I'm not saying that at all, but
- 51:50Speaker 1: they looked like they smoothed the things and every She
- 51:53Speaker 1: looked good though. Yea, even with everything as it is,
- 51:56Speaker 1: with just longer hair, a little bit more natural, we've.
- 52:00Speaker 2: Got some movement.
- 52:01Speaker 1: The love that we're going out with Ron where I
- 52:05Speaker 1: getting Zion with some hair. It would be so great.
- 52:09Speaker 2: I would love that for her. Yeah, she would have
- 52:11Speaker 2: to like not straight iron her hair and let it
- 52:14Speaker 2: grow and be healthy. Some women just get really stuck
- 52:18Speaker 2: in the loop of how they looked years ago.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Yeah, and they stick with memute. Am I doing that
- 52:24Speaker 1: right now? In my life?
- 52:26Speaker 2: No?
- 52:26Speaker 1: No, my hair has never been this long in my home. No,
- 52:28Speaker 1: it has life. But I mean, she might be stuck
- 52:31Speaker 1: in a tw tens version of Mary Kan that she
- 52:35Speaker 1: idealized for herself.
- 52:36Speaker 2: It's so bad. It's giving Alice from Twilight.
- 52:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's I mean, but Mary, if you're gonna
- 52:42Speaker 1: write a book, tell the truth, come on, give us
- 52:46Speaker 1: something like I swear to.
- 52:48Speaker 2: It's probably gonna be tost bullshit.
- 52:50Speaker 1: It's gonna be a money grab. Yeah, she's gonna have
- 52:52Speaker 1: a traditional publisher, which I hate.
- 52:55Speaker 2: Well, she's gonna have somebody ghost write it for her.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Probably, of course, otherwise it's just gonna be alliterate. I
- 53:02Speaker 1: felt sad and I didn't like it, and I can't
- 53:05Speaker 1: be me.
- 53:07Speaker 2: We need more and this is how I learned to
- 53:09Speaker 2: worthy up.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Yeah, we need to turn a phrase. We need somebody
- 53:12Speaker 1: to help you, HEDI, Yeah, for sure. Well, Beatrice riveting
- 53:16Speaker 1: commentary as usual. Is there anything else that we need
- 53:19Speaker 1: to say to these beautiful raccoons before we get up
- 53:21Speaker 1: on at a here girl?

- 53:37Speaker 1: because of the ice storm, sorry about all that. We
- 53:41Speaker 1: are going to immediately start recording for Suddenly Amish and
- 53:44Speaker 1: we're going to release that probably the same day as this.
- 53:48Speaker 1: I might release this tonight. Yeah, and then really Suddenly.
