Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: A wolf pack is not an accidental gathering of hunters.
- 0:16Speaker 2: I tend to think of myself as a one-man wolf pack.
- 0:21Speaker 2: But when my sister brought Doug home, I knew he
- 0:23Speaker 2: was one of my own. And my wolf pack, it
- 0:28Speaker 2: grew by one.
- 0:46Speaker 1: The date is October 13th, 2026. And you are listening

- 1:46Speaker 1: Anything on the Instagram side before I get into it?
- 1:48Speaker 3: You know our usual, you know our usual Jeff Fortes?
- 1:51Speaker 4: He.
- 1:52Speaker 3: He was under the weather last week. That's why he
- 1:54Speaker 3: didn't send me for episode three. So he put it
- 1:56Speaker 3: together for episode three and four. So I appreciate him
- 2:01Speaker 3: always listening and sending us his feedback. Anthony Veloz, always
- 2:06Speaker 3: liking our stories, our posts. And always Cousin BC for
- 2:09Speaker 3: always reposting. My sister-in-law, Evan, she reposted our stuff. Obviously,
- 2:15Speaker 3: the wife. And my other sister-in-law, Jordan, reposting, liking our stuff.
- 2:20Speaker 3: We appreciate that.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I appreciate your family, man. Your family is... That's
- 2:24Speaker 1: why I had a question for your wife because I
- 2:28Speaker 1: was like, do you have family in Anchorage, Alaska? So,
- 2:35Speaker 1: shout out to whoever is listening in Anchorage, Alaska because
- 2:38Speaker 1: she told me no. We don't know anybody from Anchorage, Alaska.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I don't think it's just one person. I think it's
- 2:45Speaker 1: multiple people because we have 12 downloads. We only have
- 2:47Speaker 1: four episodes out. This is the fifth one.
- 2:49Speaker 4: So.
- 2:52Speaker 1: we have 12 downloads from Anchorage, Alaska.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Damn. Yeah.
- 2:56Speaker 1: So I think it might be multiple people. Like I said, if,
- 2:58Speaker 1: if we would love to hear from you, how you
- 3:01Speaker 1: found us out, why you're listening to us. Uh, if
- 3:04Speaker 1: you want to, if you don't want to shoot us on, um,
- 3:07Speaker 1: our social, like I said, email us Wolfpack, DFW, 1310
- 3:11Speaker 1: at gmail.com. We'd love to hear from you. I mean,
- 3:14Speaker 1: we've got, besides our listeners here in Texas, um, We
- 3:19Speaker 1: had a couple in Florida from Orlando and Palatka, some
- 3:23Speaker 1: city called Palatka. Okay. We got one from New York,
- 3:27Speaker 1: I'm guessing, because you're Yankees.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Yeah. We got one from Seattle, and we are now
- 3:33Speaker 1: international as we have one from Tel Aviv, one from Islamabad,
- 3:41Speaker 1: and I think this is a family member of mine
- 3:44Speaker 1: because I have family down there. Coahuila.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Mexico, Coahuila. Coahuila.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Yeah. I haven't heard, nobody's, my mother hasn't said anything
- 3:51Speaker 1: about a family member listening to us, but yeah.
- 3:55Speaker 3: But I don't know, we do have friends in New York, so,
- 3:57Speaker 3: I mean, it could have been that, not just the
- 3:59Speaker 3: Yankee stuff, but.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Yeah. So. Well, I figured they wouldn't have been listening
- 4:02Speaker 1: from the start, because I was like, oh, man. But yeah,
- 4:05Speaker 1: the Anchorage, Alaska thing.
- 4:06Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 4:07Speaker 1: 12.
- 4:07Speaker 3: 12 of them?
- 4:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I mean, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if, if my
- 4:12Speaker 3: wife's family knew somebody there, but apparently they don't, so
- 4:15Speaker 3: I don't... It never surprises me, because everywhere we go,
- 4:17Speaker 3: it's always, oh, I know them from this and this,
- 4:19Speaker 3: so there's always saying hi to everybody. Yeah.
- 4:23Speaker 1: The other thing, so this past weekend, I was in
- 4:26Speaker 1: Sherman up north. My nephew got married. Congratulations to Andy
- 4:31Speaker 1: and Juliet. It was a beautiful wedding. It was pretty cool.
- 4:37Speaker 1: He was more Mexican than I thought, because... I was like, man,
- 4:40Speaker 1: what the hell is all this Mexican music you're playing?
- 4:42Speaker 3: He's your brother's son. Come on, man.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Yeah, but he's also half white. His mom is white.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 4:48Speaker 1: And he was raised really redneck. And yeah, they had
- 4:55Speaker 1: dancing horses, dancing to Sinaloa music. And I was like,
- 4:58Speaker 1: what the hell? And I told him himself, like, when
- 5:01Speaker 1: did you get so Mexican? And I was like, I'm
- 5:04Speaker 1: not even this Mexican.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:06Speaker 1: It was pretty good.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Congrats to them.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Yeah, congrats to them. So yeah, I was staying over there.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I got a hotel room because I didn't want to
- 5:13Speaker 1: drive all the way back with the kid and my wife.
- 5:17Speaker 1: So we went out to eat the next morning in
- 5:20Speaker 1: Allen by the outlets with my brother and his family.
- 5:24Speaker 1: And after that, my wife was like, hey, we're by
- 5:27Speaker 1: the outlets. She was like, oh, there's a Spirit Halloween.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I don't know if you've noticed, Spirit Halloweens aren't really
- 5:34Speaker 1: around anymore. They're like, Very few now. Are they? Yeah. Like,
- 5:39Speaker 1: there's not one in Irving.
- 5:41Speaker 3: There's always a meme with Spirit of Halloween. Like, especially
- 5:45Speaker 3: in sports sometimes, whenever they get eliminated or they lose
- 5:47Speaker 3: or whatever, they're like, Spirit of Halloween.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. So, they had one across the street, and
- 5:54Speaker 1: she was like, can we go to that one? Please
- 5:56Speaker 1: check it out. So, like, cool. So, I'm there, and
- 5:59Speaker 1: my daughter's, you know, busy with the animatronics. She's going, ah,
- 6:03Speaker 1: I'm scared of this. I'm scared of that. But she
- 6:05Speaker 1: keeps pressing the button. over and over and over so
- 6:08Speaker 1: as we're doing that i'm wearing my longhorn cap and
- 6:11Speaker 1: my longhorn shirt and i'm just there and this gentleman
- 6:15Speaker 1: older gentleman comes up to me and says hey man
- 6:17Speaker 1: he goes he goes i think arch is overrated and
- 6:20Speaker 1: he starts immediately just the that's his opening statement to
- 6:22Speaker 1: me i think arch is overrated what do you think
- 6:25Speaker 1: so we start conversating he's an lsu fan he's from
- 6:28Speaker 1: new orleans and uh he's normally he was originally from
- 6:32Speaker 1: new orleans and uh I'm just talking to him and
- 6:35Speaker 1: we're talking and through conversation, I told him, well, uh,
- 6:39Speaker 1: he was, we're talking about the game. And I basically
- 6:41Speaker 1: said what I said on the pod, uh, last episode.
- 6:44Speaker 1: And I told him that I was like, yeah, on
- 6:45Speaker 1: my podcast, I said this. And he goes, he goes, Oh,
- 6:48Speaker 1: you're one of them. You're a podcaster. And I just said, well, yeah,
- 6:52Speaker 1: I said, I said, but, uh, over the summer I was, um,
- 6:56Speaker 1: doing a radio show on the ticket. And he goes,
- 6:59Speaker 1: you're doing a radio show on the ticket. And I said,
- 7:02Speaker 1: I said, yeah, I said, you know what he goes?
- 7:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I listened to the ticket. So he started naming shows.
- 7:06Speaker 1: He started naming people like, are you? And I was like, no, no, no, no.
- 7:08Speaker 1: So I told him my name. He didn't recognize it.
- 7:10Speaker 1: And I said, yeah, we were doing 12 to 2
- 7:13Speaker 1: on Sundays. And he goes, oh, you're the new guys,
- 7:16Speaker 1: the Wolves, right? I said, yeah.
- 7:18Speaker 3: He said, OK.
- 7:19Speaker 1: He goes, yeah. He goes, I listened to you a
- 7:20Speaker 1: few times. I was like, man. And then now he goes,
- 7:23Speaker 1: I haven't seen y'all. I haven't heard y'all on. So
- 7:25Speaker 1: I was like, huh, I wonder what happened with those guys.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I said, yeah. So I told him, yeah, we're off
- 7:30Speaker 1: the air right now during football. I think, like, this
- 7:33Speaker 1: weekend I got the run sheet for this weekend, this Sunday.
- 7:38Speaker 1: There's only just one show on, and that's it.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:41Speaker 1: And Saturday is the same thing. There's only one show on,
- 7:43Speaker 1: and then SMU and stars and all that.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Yeah, so.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I was telling Mia, I said, we're probably going to
- 7:49Speaker 1: get back on the air. Yeah, so about that. We're
- 7:52Speaker 1: probably going to get back on the air coming up
- 7:55Speaker 1: soon in the next couple months. Talked to the powers
- 7:59Speaker 1: that be, and they said, yeah, like, we got some
- 8:01Speaker 1: opportunities coming up. We would like you all to fill
- 8:04Speaker 1: in and do some stuff. So I was telling him,
- 8:06Speaker 1: and then I showed him the pod. He's an older gentleman.
- 8:08Speaker 1: He doesn't listen to podcasts. So I said, you got
- 8:10Speaker 1: an iPhone, right? He's like, yeah, it's right here. So
- 8:13Speaker 1: I set it up for him. He's like, okay, cool, man.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I'll start listening. So shout out to Phil and Fairview.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Hopefully you're listening to this episode. But it was pretty
- 8:20Speaker 1: cool to me. I was telling my brother, I knew
- 8:24Speaker 1: how big the ticket was. I didn't know how big.
- 8:29Speaker 1: You don't really know how big it is until you're
- 8:31Speaker 1: a part of it. And then people, like, know you. Like, oh, yeah,
- 8:36Speaker 1: I've heard you.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 1: And they're like, yeah, yeah. For the fact that he said,
- 8:40Speaker 1: the wolves, right?
- 8:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:42Speaker 1: And I said, yeah.
- 8:43Speaker 3: I said, the wolf pack.
- 8:44Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, yeah, that's it.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Yeah, what I was going to say, because you said
- 8:47Speaker 3: he's from New Orleans. And I was like, well, then
- 8:49Speaker 3: you said he's originally from New Orleans. Yeah. I'm like,
- 8:52Speaker 3: how did he find out about Ticket living over there?
- 8:54Speaker 1: No, he lives here in Fairview. Yeah, Fairview.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:57Speaker 1: He was with his son and... Daughter-in-law and his two grandkids.
- 9:03Speaker 1: He was just hanging out with them. So he was
- 9:04Speaker 1: like bored and he saw me and he's like, hey, man.
- 9:06Speaker 1: He goes, yeah, he tried to make conversation to pass
- 9:09Speaker 1: the time. And yeah, that's how it happens, man. And
- 9:12Speaker 1: it just, it floors me still that we're a part
- 9:15Speaker 1: of that world.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it does. It does. That's why I asked,
- 9:19Speaker 3: how do you meet these people? Like, did you bring
- 9:21Speaker 3: it up? You bring it up that you were on
- 9:23Speaker 3: the ticket and kind of stuff. And yeah, because I
- 9:25Speaker 3: had a conversation. I was watching the game at a bar,
- 9:28Speaker 3: local bar here. And I met a couple, and their
- 9:31Speaker 3: kids go to Texas, so they were in Texas. But
- 9:36Speaker 3: I never mentioned it. I was just like, you know,
- 9:38Speaker 3: we were just talking and making conversation, and that was cool.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Well, I was mentioning that what I said is basically
- 9:45Speaker 1: what happened. We'll get into that later. And he was like, oh,
- 9:49Speaker 1: you're one of those podcasters, because he was an older guy.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You're one of those podcasters. I was like, yeah, but
- 9:53Speaker 1: I was on the radio. And he was like, oh,
- 9:54Speaker 1: you were on the radio. And that's the difference, man.
- 9:57Speaker 1: The podcast, we're on the radio. Radio still, people are still, oh, crap, radio.
- 10:03Speaker 1: You know, you were on, somebody actually hired.
- 10:06Speaker 3: You, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. Yeah, yeah.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Good to hear, though.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Yeah, that's good to hear. So we'll have a really
- 10:12Speaker 1: good sports attention show. I know some people want us
- 10:15Speaker 1: to do What Are We Watching? It's kind of hard
- 10:18Speaker 1: with everything going on in October. You know, you got NFL.
- 10:22Speaker 1: You got the college football in full gear. You got
- 10:25Speaker 1: the MLB postseason right now. They're both in the championship series.
- 10:29Speaker 1: And we'll get to the World Series pretty soon. You
- 10:31Speaker 1: got hockey. You got basketball starting. So I think once
- 10:34Speaker 1: MLB is done, the World Series is done, we can
- 10:37Speaker 1: get into what are we watching back in November. Right
- 10:39Speaker 1: now there's just too much going on that we got
- 10:41Speaker 1: to comment. We'll do a little hit it and quit it.
- 10:44Speaker 1: We'll get into the stars. And Patrick Dumont, the governor
- 10:49Speaker 1: of the Mavericks, had an interview with The Athletic that
- 10:51Speaker 1: I thought was interesting. We'll get into that. We'll talk
- 10:55Speaker 1: MLB playoffs. Oh, my God, did the MLBPA order the
- 11:00Speaker 1: code red for the Dodgers and tell them, we need
- 11:02Speaker 1: you guys to lose. We need you to lose. If
- 11:05Speaker 1: you're ever going to lose, this is the time to
- 11:06Speaker 1: lose now. It'll really help us out. We'll get into
- 11:10Speaker 1: college football week six and seven.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Red River. What happened? We'll get into that. We'll also
- 11:19Speaker 1: stroll around the NFL week five. But we begin with.
- 11:22Speaker 3: We sending out love. Everybody have a happy football.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Yes, indeed. It ain't happy again. All I can say
- 11:44Speaker 1: is it was embarrassing, Dak. Yes, embarrassing. I don't care
- 11:50Speaker 1: if you're in your feels.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Take it like it is.
- 11:53Speaker 1: You're the highest paid player in the NFL. And if
- 11:58Speaker 1: you can't take somebody saying it was embarrassing, you got
- 12:03Speaker 1: to look at yourself in the mirror, man, because that
- 12:05Speaker 1: was embarrassing. 16 to 24. The Tampa Bay Bucks with
- 12:11Speaker 1: an undrafted quarterback. making his first road start in the
- 12:16Speaker 1: NFL came in and just whipped your ass.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, like you said, they made him look
- 12:22Speaker 3: like a pro bowler. And I feel like that's, that's
- 12:25Speaker 3: starting to be a trend where we make, or this
- 12:29Speaker 3: defense starting to make this team at make any other
- 12:34Speaker 3: quarterback that comes in. I mean, it was JJ McCarthy,
- 12:36Speaker 3: Kyler Murray, always Jacoby Brissett. And now Jalen, uh, It
- 12:44Speaker 3: was Jalen Daniels.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Jalen Daniels.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Jalen Daniels as well, yeah. I mean, come on, man.
- 12:49Speaker 3: That wasn't embarrassing. It was embarrassing. It was embarrassing. I
- 12:54Speaker 3: almost turned it off, but then I thought the comeback
- 12:56Speaker 3: was going to– we're about to come back, and then nope,
- 12:58Speaker 3: never mind.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Dude, there's plenty of blame to go around. I say
- 13:03Speaker 1: the biggest blame has to be on your gaudy offense,
- 13:08Speaker 1: the so-called gaudy offense, because I'll say this, the defense
- 13:14Speaker 1: was bad. But they were pretty good in that first half.
- 13:18Speaker 1: After that first drive, which was 15 plays, 73 yards,
- 13:21Speaker 1: 10-51 in time of possession, the opening drive Tampa scores.
- 13:27Speaker 1: They went three and out. They forced a punt. They
- 13:29Speaker 1: went a three and out on the next three. What
- 13:32Speaker 1: does the offense do? Punt, punt, three and out. And
- 13:35Speaker 1: then field goal. 10-7 half. You could have put that
- 13:38Speaker 1: game away very early if you were the greatest offense
- 13:42Speaker 1: there is.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Well, I don't know about early. I don't know about
- 13:45Speaker 3: early because, yes, coming out of the first drive, you
- 13:49Speaker 3: get the ball. You go down there and score quick.
- 13:51Speaker 3: It was a quick score, too. It was, what, two
- 13:53Speaker 3: and a half minutes, three minutes maybe?
- 13:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Three and a half minutes.
- 13:56Speaker 1: But then you go punt, punt, three and out, field goal.
- 13:58Speaker 3: No, I understand that. But when you say early, your
- 14:02Speaker 3: defense let the Bucs offense take that 10-51, you said,
- 14:07Speaker 3: the time of possession?
- 14:08Speaker 4: 10-51.
- 14:10Speaker 3: And that was three penalties on there that kept the
- 14:12Speaker 3: drives alive.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Yeah, but then you get a three and out. You
- 14:15Speaker 1: get a punt. You get a three and out. That's
- 14:16Speaker 1: the next three in the first half.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Yeah, but the fact that you let this offense, the
- 14:21Speaker 3: Tampa Bay offense, stay on the field for 10 minutes
- 14:25Speaker 3: and 51 seconds. I get that.
- 14:27Speaker 1: They dimed them to death.
- 14:28Speaker 3: That's a problem. And it was not. It was the penalties.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:33Speaker 3: The Ron Bland. The Ron Bland needs to get off
- 14:36Speaker 3: the field. Once Kobe Durant is healthy enough, let's come back.
- 14:41Speaker 3: He needs to be benched. It's got to be Joey
- 14:44Speaker 3: Porter Jr. and Kobe Durant. And, yeah, Joey Porter Jr.,
- 14:48Speaker 3: you know, the people were like, well, why did he
- 14:49Speaker 3: come to the field? Why did he come to the
- 14:51Speaker 3: game if he's sick or whatever? It's like, dude, he
- 14:54Speaker 3: started throwing up when he got to the game, to
- 14:57Speaker 3: the stadium. And people were always overreacting. I don't know
- 15:01Speaker 3: if it was Richard Sherman or somebody was like, well,
- 15:05Speaker 3: is he doing the same thing he did to the Steelers? Like,
- 15:09Speaker 3: now he's doing whatever. And I'm like, dude. The guy's sick.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Richard Sherman is just, he's trying to be Stephen A.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Smith on Amazon Prime. He's like, if you want to
- 15:24Speaker 1: go to buy a version of Stephen A. Smith, well,
- 15:27Speaker 1: we got the Richard Sherman version on Amazon Prime. That's
- 15:30Speaker 1: what we got. And yeah, I didn't buy any of that.
- 15:34Speaker 1: But I still think 10 to 7 at the first half,
- 15:38Speaker 1: they left meat on the bone.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Oh, for sure.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Dak was terrible.
- 15:42Speaker 3: It was.
- 15:43Speaker 1: And then, so the second half starts. A two fucking
- 15:47Speaker 1: play drive.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Two plays, dude. Two plays. 74 to Buckeye. Two plays. Yes.
- 15:52Speaker 1: And then a 19 to Buckeye. And they couldn't stop him.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Like, you missed tackle, whatever it was.
- 15:56Speaker 1: An end around to Buckeye.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 15:58Speaker 1: And I was pissed because I didn't even. I was like, okay, well,
- 16:03Speaker 1: they're playing with an undrafted quarterback. He ain't going to
- 16:06Speaker 1: do anything. I'll take him off my fantasy. He had
- 16:08Speaker 1: 19 points in that.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Dude, that was crazy. It just adds up to the embarrassment.
- 16:16Speaker 1: So it's 14-10. The Cowboys are driving. They're driving. And
- 16:21Speaker 1: then they have a third and three at the Tampa
- 16:25Speaker 1: Bay 27. Dak hits Flanoy right in the hands.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Popped up.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Ferguson tips it up even more. And then it gets intercepted.
- 16:36Speaker 1: And Tampa Bay has a 24. They stroll down. Make
- 16:39Speaker 1: it a 21-10 game. Huge swing, dude. Even if you
- 16:43Speaker 1: were to kick a field goal there, it's 14-3. If
- 16:45Speaker 1: they score a touchdown, it's a one-possession game. Now it's
- 16:49Speaker 1: two possessions. And I thought, man, in a game where
- 16:54Speaker 1: your defense is now getting shredded, you can't afford that.
- 16:58Speaker 1: And I just thought it was terrible. Right after that pick, five-play,
- 17:04Speaker 1: 75-yard drive, touchdown drive.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Yeah, but I don't think, you know, because we kind
- 17:07Speaker 3: of had a back and forth about it. I don't
- 17:10Speaker 3: think that's a momentum swing right there. The momentum swing
- 17:13Speaker 3: started from way early when your defense was playing like crap.
- 17:15Speaker 3: I think it was after that first drive.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Yeah, but, dude, that's a huge possession. You were about
- 17:19Speaker 1: to score. It didn't matter if you're scoring a field goal.
- 17:21Speaker 1: That's a possession. You lost the possession. And now you're
- 17:25Speaker 1: down two possessions.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Are we dismissing all the three and outs and the
- 17:27Speaker 3: puns that they did?
- 17:28Speaker 2: No.
- 17:29Speaker 3: You're dismissing everything that happened in.
- 17:31Speaker 1: The first half.
- 17:31Speaker 3: No, no, no. And you literally said.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Yes, but at the moment, at that moment, it's 14-10.
- 17:37Speaker 1: You're driving. You're driving. You're going well. Because they started
- 17:41Speaker 1: at the 35.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Right.
- 17:43Speaker 1: You're now at their 27th.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Yeah, but you already established that Gotti wasn't happening. So
- 17:48Speaker 3: it was already done. Gotti wasn't happening. Even if you
- 17:51Speaker 3: don't turn it over, you can get the field goal.
- 17:53Speaker 3: And it doesn't guarantee you, though. It doesn't guarantee you.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Especially right now with all the blocked field goals that
- 17:59Speaker 3: Aubrey has had. That doesn't guarantee you're going to kick
- 18:01Speaker 3: a field goal or even score. You can keep the
- 18:03Speaker 3: drive alive.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I'm just saying, to turn over at that point, and
- 18:06Speaker 1: then it's 21-10, it all starts snowballing on you.
- 18:10Speaker 3: To me, it had already started after the second half
- 18:13Speaker 3: when they did the two points.
- 18:16Speaker 1: After they score, chirping fumbles, the kickoff return.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Exactly. So there's another one.
- 18:22Speaker 1: And then it leads to a field goal. It's 24
- 18:24Speaker 1: to 10 now. You're down 10. It's a 17-point swing
- 18:28Speaker 1: in the third. Then you have a third and 21
- 18:32Speaker 1: on that field goal drive. On that field goal drive,
- 18:34Speaker 1: you have a third and 21. You can get out
- 18:36Speaker 1: of it. They converted.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 18:38Speaker 1: They converted. Undrafted quarterback.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Second start. Rookie. Second start.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Second start on the road. His first NFL start on
- 18:46Speaker 1: the road, and he converts a third and 21.
- 18:49Speaker 3: And again, I mean, you could say that it was
- 18:53Speaker 3: the Flournoy fumble. I mean, interception, tipped interception. I think
- 18:59Speaker 3: it was the defense from the get-go already. I thought
- 19:01Speaker 3: we were about to crush these guys from the first drive.
- 19:04Speaker 3: I mean, we looked really good in that one. It
- 19:05Speaker 3: was like boom, boom, boom. And then 10 minutes, bro.
- 19:08Speaker 3: I'm like, 10 minutes? Nah, man. I thought the game
- 19:12Speaker 3: was over when you let that happen. The Ron Bland
- 19:17Speaker 3: and the Colin Iser Ferguson need to be out of here, man.
- 19:20Speaker 3: You need to put Braving Spawn forward and just start
- 19:22Speaker 3: having some better reps with the first team and more
- 19:26Speaker 3: catching opportunities.
- 19:29Speaker 1: And then you have a fourth and three on the 43,
- 19:32Speaker 1: turnover on downs. You give it back to them. And, dude,
- 19:37Speaker 1: I don't know what's up with these coaches, man. Do
- 19:39Speaker 1: they not know math? Do they not know what the
- 19:41Speaker 1: fuck's going on? I don't know why Todd Bowles went
- 19:46Speaker 1: for it on fourth and down. when if he kicks
- 19:48Speaker 1: a field goal they're out three possession the game's over
- 19:49Speaker 1: yeah instead he gets stuffed the cowboys go down score
- 19:53Speaker 1: touchdown and talk about doing math why the fuck do
- 19:57Speaker 1: you go for two when and i get this whole
- 20:00Speaker 1: oh and dude i'm gonna tell you this right now
- 20:03Speaker 1: analytics is the ruining of fucking sports everybody fucking going
- 20:07Speaker 1: with numbers that's why these uh uh batting averages in
- 20:12Speaker 1: baseball are in the 220s because it's all analytics. We
- 20:15Speaker 1: need to hit it up.
- 20:16Speaker 3: And you're good if you hit 250.
- 20:18Speaker 1: People are too much relied on analytics that they do
- 20:21Speaker 1: stupid things. And we saw it twice there. Tampa going
- 20:26Speaker 1: for it on fourth down when all they need is
- 20:28Speaker 1: to kick a field goal, go up 17 and ice
- 20:32Speaker 1: the game. And then here you are. You just scored
- 20:35Speaker 1: a touchdown. You kicked the extra point You're down seven.
- 20:41Speaker 1: You go for two. You miss the two. You're down eight.
- 20:43Speaker 1: So now you've got to score again and try to
- 20:45Speaker 1: go for two.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:46Speaker 1: It's just ridiculous.
- 20:47Speaker 3: I think there's a time and place for analytics and
- 20:50Speaker 3: when it should happen. But now you shouldn't rely on
- 20:52Speaker 3: it for the full time. You've got to go with
- 20:54Speaker 3: your gut at some point. You've got to go with your.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Gut at some point. You just had a 10-play 99-yard
- 20:59Speaker 1: drive with 530 left. And you decide, oh, let's go
- 21:02Speaker 1: for two, guys. Let's go for two. Why? It just
- 21:05Speaker 1: makes no sense. Then you actually get a three and out,
- 21:10Speaker 1: and Deron Bland's dumbass drops a sure thing pick six
- 21:16Speaker 1: with three minutes left.
- 21:17Speaker 3: He could redeem himself for the whole game just with
- 21:20Speaker 3: that play.
- 21:20Speaker 1: And that's what he's known for. He jumped it, and
- 21:23Speaker 1: he just dropped it.
- 21:25Speaker 3: I mean, that's the reason why he got that contract.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Yes.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Because he had that record-setting pick sixes and everything. I remember,
- 21:30Speaker 3: and it was Thanksgiving when it happened against the Washington Commanders.
- 21:34Speaker 3: I remember that game was yesterday. Okay. But he dropped it.
- 21:37Speaker 3: I mean, talk about it was in your hands with Illinois.
- 21:41Speaker 3: That was in your hands.
- 21:42Speaker 1: That was in his hands.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Nobody in front of you. Green turf. I was going
- 21:46Speaker 3: to say green grass, but it's green turf in front
- 21:49Speaker 3: of you to score, and you didn't.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Yeah, so then you get it back. They punt it away.
- 21:55Speaker 1: You're driving. You're almost in the red zone. And then
- 22:02Speaker 1: a Ferguson tip ball hits him right in his hands,
- 22:05Speaker 1: right in his face mask. Goes up in the air.
- 22:08Speaker 1: It's intercepted at the Tampa Bay 24 again with 122 left.
- 22:13Speaker 1: You have all your three timeouts, right? All they're going
- 22:16Speaker 1: to try to do is run the ball, right? All
- 22:18Speaker 1: you got to do is stop the run, call your timeouts.
- 22:21Speaker 1: The first down, negative two-yard rushing. Negative two-yard rush. It's
- 22:25Speaker 1: second and 12, right? The next play is a fucking
- 22:29Speaker 1: 22-yard rush. To pull the game away, ball game. It
- 22:34Speaker 1: is a laugher, dude. I can't believe it was one
- 22:39Speaker 1: of the embarrassing. That's all I can say. It was embarrassing.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Speaking of Ferguson. So, Sexton made some posts on Twitter.
- 22:48Speaker 3: He put up some stats about Ferguson. Since 2024, he's
- 22:53Speaker 3: had seven recorded drops. And he led the league with
- 22:59Speaker 3: eight fumbles since 2024.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:03Speaker 3: And he brought in Derrick Henry, B. John Robinson, Brees Hall,
- 23:06Speaker 3: James Cook. They all have around the same number since
- 23:09Speaker 3: then with fumbles and drops. The difference, he said, because
- 23:15Speaker 3: the running backs have so many more touches than pass
- 23:19Speaker 3: catchers because they catch the ball, they run the ball.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Jake Ferguson averages about four to five touches per game
- 23:30Speaker 3: Four to five touches per game in the same time span.
- 23:34Speaker 3: I mean, running backs are getting so many hundreds. And
- 23:39Speaker 3: this is what he put on it. Fumble to touches
- 23:42Speaker 3: rate per player. B. John Robinson, one fumble per 118 touches.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Derrick Henry, one fumble per 108 touches. Brees Hall, one
- 23:52Speaker 3: fumble per 175 touches. James Cook, one fumble per 73 touches.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Jake Ferguson... One touch, one fumble per 19 touches. That's
- 24:03Speaker 3: a 42% rate. And he also has a 45% drop
- 24:08Speaker 3: pass rate. And that is crazy. And you gave him
- 24:12Speaker 3: a $ 52 million contract. What kind of shit is that?
- 24:16Speaker 3: He needs to go. He needs to be the motor
- 24:18Speaker 3: to be two. And Brevin Spanford needs to go on.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I do think you need to get Spanford some
- 24:24Speaker 1: more touches. Yeah, well, I don't know what's going on
- 24:27Speaker 1: with Ferguson, man. He's dropping a lot of balls. He
- 24:30Speaker 1: had to fumble in Rio. When they were driving, too,
- 24:33Speaker 1: same thing. They were driving, and then the fumble just
- 24:38Speaker 1: stops everything.
- 24:39Speaker 3: It's not even fumbling and everything, but Brevin Spanford can block, too.
- 24:43Speaker 3: He's a big guy. He plays special teams.
- 24:46Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying. If you can't block, you've
- 24:48Speaker 1: got to catch your catches. You can't be having fumbles.
- 24:51Speaker 1: You can't be having drops, crucial drops. You have to
- 24:54Speaker 1: do that if that's who you're– That's why you were paid.
- 24:57Speaker 1: You have to do that, and he's not doing it.
- 24:59Speaker 3: And back to the Rombland drop pick six. This team
- 25:04Speaker 3: still has not have had a pick this season through
- 25:08Speaker 3: five games.
- 25:10Speaker 1: No. They're not even close. That was the closest they came.
- 25:13Speaker 3: I think we've only had one turnover, wasn't it? Or
- 25:16Speaker 3: maybe two?
- 25:16Speaker 1: One with the Giants.
- 25:21Speaker 3: And then I think the second one was the D.
- 25:23Speaker 3: Winters when Jayshon Barham popped it out and then D.
- 25:27Speaker 3: Winters picked it up.
- 25:28Speaker 1: I think it was a commander game.
- 25:29Speaker 3: That was it.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:31Speaker 3: That I can remember. I mean, defensive line is struggling.
- 25:36Speaker 3: I thought they looked better in the first half of
- 25:38Speaker 3: this game against Tampa Bay. But I think in the
- 25:44Speaker 3: second half, they weren't nowhere to be found. I think
- 25:46Speaker 3: Jayshon Barham was having a great first half. Obviously, it
- 25:49Speaker 3: was overshadowed by the by the penalties in that long
- 25:52Speaker 3: drive but in the second half i didn't really hear
- 25:58Speaker 3: from him i was like where is he i think
- 26:00Speaker 3: the winters had a good game but man they were
- 26:03Speaker 3: missing they're missing joey porter jr in that game yeah um.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I mean does he make a i mean normally he'll
- 26:14Speaker 1: trail somebody we get some book of the book of
- 26:16Speaker 1: it didn't have that big of a game he had
- 26:18Speaker 1: that He had an okay game. He had the render
- 26:21Speaker 1: round touchdown. But Bucky Irvin was just running all over him, dude.
- 26:26Speaker 1: He ran all over him.
- 26:27Speaker 3: I mean, missed tackles. You had him with a two,
- 26:30Speaker 3: three-yard gain, and all of a sudden he broke out
- 26:32Speaker 3: to go more. That 74-yarder in the starting second half
- 26:36Speaker 3: was one of them. I'm like, dude, what are we doing?
- 26:39Speaker 1: You know they're running it. It's second and 12. You
- 26:43Speaker 1: know they're running it. They're trying to kill the clock.
- 26:46Speaker 1: They're trying to make you waste all your timeouts. And
- 26:49Speaker 1: how does he get free for 22 yards?
- 26:52Speaker 3: Time management is another problem with this team too, man.
- 26:55Speaker 3: Time management. I think there was a timeout where it
- 26:57Speaker 3: was like, Dak was like, snap it, snap it. And
- 26:59Speaker 3: then they didn't. So they had to kill timeout. I
- 27:04Speaker 3: don't know, man. It's, it's looking ugly.
- 27:07Speaker 1: And now the question is shoddy. Uh, Christian Parker is
- 27:14Speaker 1: under the gun. They hired Mike Patin today. Uh, former
- 27:20Speaker 1: Green Bay defensive coordinator. He's going to be a D.C. assistant.
- 27:25Speaker 1: And Christian Parker is going to the booth.
- 27:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:28Speaker 3: I don't know what difference that makes.
- 27:30Speaker 1: And Shadi said something about you're going to notice some
- 27:33Speaker 1: personnel changes.
- 27:34Speaker 3: He said that, yeah.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Some will be really noticeable. Does it begin and start
- 27:41Speaker 1: with Vaughn Miller being waived? Because through five games, yeah,
- 27:46Speaker 1: the experiment has not worked. Von Miller looks old. He
- 27:49Speaker 1: does not look like he... I don't think he's gotten
- 27:52Speaker 1: close to a sack that I've noticed.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:57Speaker 1: He's never appeared on screen where I'm like, oh, there's
- 28:00Speaker 1: Von Miller rushing.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Yeah, there you go.
- 28:01Speaker 1: I haven't seen him. I'm like, he's nowhere to be found.
- 28:04Speaker 1: And this whole thing that I can get out of
- 28:06Speaker 1: bed and get eight sacks. You're five games in. You
- 28:09Speaker 1: haven't sniffed one.
- 28:09Speaker 3: You should have at least two or three.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Yeah, you haven't sniffed one.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Are you going to have eight in the last 11 games?
- 28:14Speaker 1: And maybe.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Or 12 games?
- 28:16Speaker 1: Maybe it's just time to get, hey, we tried it,
- 28:19Speaker 1: didn't work. Next man up. James Houston will come back.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Let's do something.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Yeah, or if you're going to go for it, do
- 28:28Speaker 3: the trade. Make the trade. I think right now Josh
- 28:30Speaker 3: Sweat is the hot name right now in the market.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Well, the Cards lost again to a good deal back.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Yeah, Josh Sweat. I don't know. I think Max Crosby
- 28:40Speaker 3: is already kind of already done.
- 28:42Speaker 1: I don't know. They've lost two in a row. We'll see.
- 28:45Speaker 1: We'll see. But, yeah, I don't know how this is
- 28:50Speaker 1: going to play out. But, man, right now, we were
- 28:53Speaker 1: so optimistic after the Texans game. We're like, okay, they've
- 28:56Speaker 1: got the Bucs, the wounded Bucs, no Baker Mayfield, rookie
- 29:01Speaker 1: undrafted quarterback starting. Well, that's an easy win. We look
- 29:04Speaker 1: toward Green Bay, and Green Bay's having troubles. We can
- 29:09Speaker 1: probably get a win up there in Lambeau, come back,
- 29:12Speaker 1: play the Eagles. The Eagles are a disaster. Yeah, they're
- 29:16Speaker 1: a disaster as well. They're going back. They're like, maybe
- 29:19Speaker 1: this is a win. And now it's like, holy crap.
- 29:22Speaker 1: I'm not picking them to win this weekend, man. Jordan,
- 29:25Speaker 1: if a rookie undrafted quarterback looked like that against them,
- 29:30Speaker 1: what is Jordan Love going to look like?
- 29:33Speaker 3: Yeah, and Jordan Love has kind of been your, your
- 29:35Speaker 3: your uh what do you call it uh he's always
- 29:40Speaker 3: had good games against you your kryptonite he's been a
- 29:43Speaker 3: little bit of a kryptonite to the cowboys for for
- 29:45Speaker 3: a little bit for a couple games but also what
- 29:48Speaker 3: are you gonna do uh uh watson he had a
- 29:51Speaker 3: hell of a game the other day what.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Are you gonna do with golden tape looks like they
- 29:54Speaker 1: finally figured out golden.
- 29:55Speaker 3: Tape exactly yeah Not Golden Tate, Matthew Golden.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Matthew Golden, my bad.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Yeah, who's going to cover him? Who has the speed? Dude,
- 30:02Speaker 3: I don't know. Yeah, I'm not picking him to win.
- 30:04Speaker 3: And I thought, I was kind of, I was like, man,
- 30:08Speaker 3: I got to eat my words right now because I
- 30:09Speaker 3: said that, I thought that Howell was going to be
- 30:12Speaker 3: playing in the second half.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Yeah. Nah. Nah, that's, man, it's just not good, bro.
- 30:19Speaker 1: I just, I'm hoping for the best. Well, hopefully, maybe
- 30:24Speaker 1: this guy and, You know what's funny is that over
- 30:27Speaker 1: the past few weeks, former defensive coordinators have said on
- 30:33Speaker 1: podcasts and different than that that Christian Parker is overwhelmed,
- 30:37Speaker 1: that he doesn't know what he's doing because some of
- 30:40Speaker 1: these things are very simple and he's not doing them.
- 30:43Speaker 3: And like.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Martin Wingdale said that. I know Rex Ryan said it.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I saw Wade Phillips on Twitter saying that. And so
- 30:54Speaker 1: maybe that's why– Apparently they tried to– Tried to hire
- 30:59Speaker 1: Mike Patin. Yeah, tried to hire Mike Patin, but he
- 31:01Speaker 1: wanted to spend time with his family. And I think
- 31:04Speaker 1: they gave him more money. They said, all right, this
- 31:05Speaker 1: is the money. There's more money here. Do you want
- 31:08Speaker 1: to come help?
- 31:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:10Speaker 1: So I thought, yeah. I was like, we'll see, man.
- 31:13Speaker 1: With Christian Parker in the booth, what changes are we
- 31:16Speaker 1: going to get? But it's clear. If the offense doesn't
- 31:21Speaker 1: show up, if you have a bad offensive day, you're
- 31:23Speaker 1: not winning the game.
- 31:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Clear as that. The offense cannot have shortcomings. You've already
- 31:30Speaker 1: had three, one with the Giants, you had one with
- 31:33Speaker 1: the Ravens at the very end, and now this game.
- 31:38Speaker 1: You can't have these kind of shortcomings if you're going
- 31:44Speaker 1: to do something in this division. Simple as that.

- 32:24Speaker 1: Let's take a stroll to the NFL Boulevard. Man, oh man,
- 32:35Speaker 1: oh man. Let's talk about Mike Ditka first, man. He
- 32:38Speaker 1: passed away Friday. We get the news that the former Cowboy,
- 32:43Speaker 1: the first tight end inducted to the Hall of Fame,
- 32:46Speaker 1: the famous Bears head coach. Brought them to the championship
- 32:51Speaker 1: in 85 with that incredible D and Walter Payton.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Yeah. Rip, one of the greatest tight ends ever.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Yeah. Immediately, the first thing, I remember when I was
- 33:04Speaker 1: a kid, I was like, okay, he's a large in
- 33:06Speaker 1: life figure. He's Mike Ditka for the Bears. And then
- 33:09Speaker 1: I found out he used to be a cowboy. He
- 33:12Speaker 1: played for Tom Leonard. He won the first Super Bowl
- 33:13Speaker 1: with the Cowboys.
- 33:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:15Speaker 1: And he was a tight end. I was like, oh, man,
- 33:17Speaker 1: I had no idea that was that. So that's where–
- 33:19Speaker 1: he's from the Landry Croaching Tree. Everybody knew he was
- 33:21Speaker 1: going to be a head coach apparently because he was
- 33:24Speaker 1: part of– he learned from Tom Landry.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Sweater vest wearing all the time.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Sweater vest. Him on Saturday Night Live was one of
- 33:34Speaker 1: the funniest– the funniest thing to me when I think
- 33:36Speaker 1: of Mike Ditka is have you ever seen him sing
- 33:41Speaker 1: Take Me Out to the Ballgame to Chicago Cubs? Have
- 33:44Speaker 1: you ever seen him do that? No. So, yeah, I
- 33:47Speaker 1: think they did– I think ESPN did like a mini
- 33:53Speaker 1: 10-minute segment on what it is to sing. Take me
- 33:58Speaker 1: out to the ballgame at the Cubs. And they talk
- 34:03Speaker 1: about all the people. They're Aussie, mumbling. And they talked
- 34:07Speaker 1: about who they've had. And then the Oregon player who
- 34:11Speaker 1: was back then, he was like... He said the funniest
- 34:15Speaker 1: one was Mike Ditka. He said because first of all,
- 34:18Speaker 1: he said... He was supposed to be in the booth.
- 34:21Speaker 1: He wasn't. And we're like, oh, man, we can't find him.
- 34:25Speaker 1: I guess I'll sing it. And then he comes rushing in.
- 34:28Speaker 1: And we had gone over it. He goes, okay, this
- 34:30Speaker 1: is how it's going to be. We practiced it earlier.
- 34:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:33Speaker 1: And he goes, he walks in and immediately starts doing
- 34:37Speaker 1: like a polka. Take me out to the ball game.
- 34:40Speaker 3: Take me out.
- 34:41Speaker 1: And it's just, he's screaming the whole time.
- 34:45Speaker 3: That's funny, dude. No, I've never seen it.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Dude, I'm going to show it to you because it's hilarious.
- 34:51Speaker 1: And that's all I think about. And when he goes, Behold, ball, game!
- 34:55Speaker 1: And it's like, I'm exhausted.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I bet. It's hilarious.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Yeah, Mike Ditka, man. He passed away.
- 35:01Speaker 3: It was 76?
- 35:03Speaker 1: Yeah, crazy the people that have passed away lately, man.
- 35:06Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh, man, he passed away. Like, Dolly Parton.
- 35:09Speaker 3: Yeah, it's crazy to see. I mean, because I think,
- 35:12Speaker 3: at least for me, I think people that I kind
- 35:15Speaker 3: of grew up watching, I was a child, now you're
- 35:17Speaker 3: getting older. And it was like, oh, damn, they're older too. So, yeah,
- 35:22Speaker 3: it's their time.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Yeah, it's funny when people die and I'm like, wait,
- 35:26Speaker 1: he was still alive? Yeah. Like that Reverend Jimmy Swagger,
- 35:32Speaker 1: he died, I believe, like a year ago. And I
- 35:34Speaker 1: was like, he was still alive? Like that guy? He
- 35:38Speaker 1: was a big televangelist. So the NFC East, man. Had
- 35:43Speaker 1: no wins last weekend. And two of the teams played
- 35:47Speaker 1: against each other as the Giants and Washington do a tie.
- 35:52Speaker 1: What the hell was Jaden Daniels thinking?
- 35:56Speaker 3: He was thinking that the clock was going to stop
- 35:57Speaker 3: at five to honor him.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Okay, that's great. I was like, where are you going
- 36:04Speaker 1: with this? Wow. Okay, that's hilarious.
- 36:07Speaker 3: I can't take credit for that joke. I saw it
- 36:09Speaker 3: on Twitter or something. Like a few people had it already.
- 36:12Speaker 3: But yeah, when I heard that, I was like, that's hilarious, dude.
- 36:16Speaker 1: What was he doing? Why did he?
- 36:18Speaker 3: He was thinking that the ball was going to stop.
- 36:19Speaker 3: I think the club was going to stop.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Did he think it was college rules or something? I
- 36:23Speaker 1: don't know.
- 36:23Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Even in college, I would have ran out. They had
- 36:26Speaker 1: no timeouts.
- 36:27Speaker 3: But even then.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Throw it away.
- 36:29Speaker 3: It should have been a delay game on the Giants
- 36:32Speaker 3: because they kicked the ball or they stomped on it
- 36:34Speaker 3: whenever they were trying to line up. I think they
- 36:36Speaker 3: kicked the ball or something.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Well, the ref was right there. He didn't call it.
- 36:38Speaker 1: He was trying to grab it.
- 36:40Speaker 3: And then the Giants, they left some, I don't know
- 36:42Speaker 3: what happened with the Giants. I didn't even watch the game, but.
- 36:44Speaker 1: From what I've seen. Didn't Scataboo fumble or something like
- 36:48Speaker 1: that at the very end?
- 36:49Speaker 3: Probably.
- 36:50Speaker 1: In overtime? Something like that.
- 36:53Speaker 3: I mean, this is the AL West of the NFL.
- 36:56Speaker 3: No team wants to win it. It's wide open. I
- 36:59Speaker 3: know the Giants are 3-1-1, but.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Yeah, the tie helped the Giants.
- 37:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:05Speaker 1: They were about to lose.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Then they would have been tied at the top with
- 37:10Speaker 3: the commanders. The Eagles are 3-2. No, no, no.
- 37:16Speaker 1: They're 2-3 as well. Let's get to them. Boy, what
- 37:20Speaker 1: the hell. I mean, I forgot it was a London game. So,
- 37:23Speaker 1: you know, I woke up late because of the wedding
- 37:25Speaker 1: and everything. I was checking out of my hotel. And
- 37:28Speaker 1: I see my phone and it says, Eagles go up late.
- 37:35Speaker 1: It says Eagles go up late with like, and it
- 37:39Speaker 1: said 17 seconds left. So I'm like, oh, 17 seconds left.
- 37:42Speaker 1: That sounds cool. Like 17 seconds left. It looks like
- 37:46Speaker 1: they're going to win, right? And then like I'm driving
- 37:51Speaker 1: to go eat. And then when I get to the restaurant,
- 37:56Speaker 1: I look at my phone and said, you will not
- 37:58Speaker 1: believe how the London game ended with the Jaguars kicking
- 38:03Speaker 1: a field goal to win.
- 38:03Speaker 3: I'm like.
- 38:04Speaker 1: They had 17 seconds? How the fuck? And then when
- 38:07Speaker 1: I see it, it's hilarious. And when I see all
- 38:10Speaker 1: the Eagles, TikTokers.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Reactions. Reactions.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Trying to go live. Go live at the moment. Gilly
- 38:22Speaker 1: looked like he wanted to die. He looked like he
- 38:23Speaker 1: wanted to have a stroke. He was like, oh, man,
- 38:26Speaker 1: I don't feel well. Somebody call the ambulance.
- 38:28Speaker 3: And the one chick that I showed, I forgot her name, man.
- 38:30Speaker 3: I can't stand her face, though. And she was like, oh, yeah,
- 38:33Speaker 3: we're looking. And then she's like, every time she posts something.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Shady McCoy.
- 38:38Speaker 3: Him too.
- 38:38Speaker 1: He tweeted. He tweeted, that's game, baby. And then that's
- 38:42Speaker 1: why I don't take my black ass to London, he said.
- 38:46Speaker 3: That's great.
- 38:46Speaker 1: I was like, well, that's hilarious.
- 38:48Speaker 3: But, man, you know, I think for me right now
- 38:50Speaker 3: who's looking really good is now Trevor Lawrence. He's starting
- 38:54Speaker 3: to kind of come up, kind of come to that.
- 38:56Speaker 1: He's finally developing, man. Yeah. I mean, they had that
- 38:59Speaker 1: one game against the Broncos. That's it.
- 39:01Speaker 3: But. Shout out to Cohen, though, the coach. Cohen, I mean,
- 39:05Speaker 3: when he came, that's when he was starting. He was
- 39:07Speaker 3: the one that did that Duval. But, yeah, shout out
- 39:11Speaker 3: to the Jaguars, man. They're playing really, really good football
- 39:15Speaker 3: right now.
- 39:16Speaker 1: No else is playing really good football, and it looks
- 39:19Speaker 1: like they've got the division in their hands, and that
- 39:23Speaker 1: is the 49ers are five and oh dude they're in
- 39:25Speaker 1: the driver's seat they got a win over the rams
- 39:27Speaker 1: week one they got a win over the seahawks now
- 39:31Speaker 1: the champion seahawks they're all they got to do is
- 39:35Speaker 1: make sure they win one of the one of the
- 39:37Speaker 1: next two games between those two teams and they got
- 39:40Speaker 1: it wrapped up i think.
- 39:41Speaker 3: Yeah i saw i saw today on espn while i
- 39:45Speaker 3: was at work i saw the power rankings they had
- 39:48Speaker 3: they had the 49ers up there At number one. And
- 39:52Speaker 3: they're 5-0. And I heard, I didn't watch the game,
- 39:54Speaker 3: but I heard that game was a really good game. Like,
- 39:56Speaker 3: this is what you wanted to see. That was a
- 39:58Speaker 3: football game. And the Cowboys see both of them this year, right?
- 40:03Speaker 3: Seattle and the 49ers?
- 40:05Speaker 1: I believe so, yeah.
- 40:06Speaker 3: I mean, there's no way that you can think and
- 40:09Speaker 3: look at this team, at the Cowboys, and think we're
- 40:12Speaker 3: as good as them. Because you're not. You're not even close.
- 40:18Speaker 1: No, you're not close at all.
- 40:19Speaker 3: Even though, I think even to this day, the Cowboys
- 40:21Speaker 3: have the number one scoring offense, but they have the
- 40:25Speaker 3: 32nd scoring defense. Not scoring defense, but points against. So, yeah,
- 40:32Speaker 3: that game was good. I can't stand the 49ers, but, hey,
- 40:36Speaker 3: you got to credit what creditors do.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Kyle Shanahan is a good coach. He just has those
- 40:41Speaker 1: moments when nut-up time, put-up or shut-up time, where he
- 40:46Speaker 1: makes some bad mistakes, like with the– 28-3 with the Patriots.
- 40:52Speaker 3: I mean, the funny thing, one of the funny things
- 40:53Speaker 3: in that game, did you see Mike Evans?
- 40:57Speaker 1: Mike Evans and Trayvon Diggs, yes.
- 40:59Speaker 3: He turned them around to see who he was? Who
- 41:02Speaker 3: are you?
- 41:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that happens a lot in hockey, dude. In hockey,
- 41:07Speaker 1: when people are chipping, normally the star, the... the goon
- 41:11Speaker 1: will be like, wait, who are you again?
- 41:13Speaker 3: I've seen that.
- 41:14Speaker 1: I've seen Brian Reeves do that to the stars before.
- 41:16Speaker 3: I've seen some videos, like Mic'd Up videos, and they're like,
- 41:20Speaker 3: you know, they're chirping to each other on the sideline
- 41:22Speaker 3: on the bench. They're like, who are you? You're not
- 41:24Speaker 3: going to last three seasons in this league, three years.
- 41:26Speaker 3: I'll give you three years and you're done. But yeah,
- 41:29Speaker 3: the 49ers, they're at the top of the food chain
- 41:33Speaker 3: right now.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Guess who else is 5-0? Man, I'm wondering, when is
- 41:35Speaker 1: it going to crash down for them? Minnesota.
- 41:37Speaker 3: They're 5-0.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I mean, they've had a favorable schedule, man.
- 41:43Speaker 1: They're getting these ugly wins. They're winning. They're ugly, but
- 41:46Speaker 1: they're winning.
- 41:47Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. Honestly, I think it was last night that
- 41:50Speaker 3: actually I was on the radio, listening on the radio,
- 41:53Speaker 3: and they said the Vikings were 5-0. I was like, what?
- 41:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:57Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 41:58Speaker 1: That's a quiet 5-0.
- 42:00Speaker 3: And Jada has been kind of hurt still. He's in
- 42:03Speaker 3: and out of the lineup. So, yeah, shout out to them, too.
- 42:07Speaker 3: Aaron Jones has been playing pretty well, too, because I
- 42:08Speaker 3: have him in fantasy, and he's been– He's been getting
- 42:10Speaker 3: me some points.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Let's talk about the teams at the bottom and who
- 42:16Speaker 1: is going to get the number one pick because, man,
- 42:19Speaker 1: that Chargers pick of mine is basically done with. They're 0-5.
- 42:24Speaker 1: The Titans are 0-5. The Texans are 1-4 because they
- 42:28Speaker 1: beat the Titans. And the Cardinals are 1-4 as well.
- 42:34Speaker 1: And I'm very interested to see who's the number one because,
- 42:38Speaker 1: If the Chargers land the number one pick, I know
- 42:41Speaker 1: where they're going. They're going Jeremiah Smith. They're going Jeremiah Smith.
- 42:45Speaker 1: If the Titans get the number one pick, do they
- 42:48Speaker 1: go Jeremiah Smith or do they replace Cam Ward? Because
- 42:52Speaker 1: Cam Ward does not look good, man.
- 42:54Speaker 3: He does not. He doesn't.
- 42:55Speaker 1: He looks overwhelmed. He looks like he's not the part.
- 43:00Speaker 1: He looks like he just doesn't know what the hell
- 43:02Speaker 1: he's doing out there.
- 43:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I bet they were thinking that. Now they were thinking,
- 43:06Speaker 3: should we have taken– Old boy from Colorado.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Shador?
- 43:11Speaker 3: No, not Shador. The quarterback.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Travis Hunter?
- 43:14Speaker 3: Yeah. He's playing pretty well, too. Yeah. So, I don't know.
- 43:19Speaker 3: Do you give up? What is his second year, third year?
- 43:21Speaker 1: This is his second year, man. But, man, at some point,
- 43:24Speaker 1: you have to show some progression, and he's not. He's
- 43:27Speaker 1: not showing anything.
- 43:28Speaker 3: I mean, the Cardinals already gave up on Marvin Harrison.
- 43:30Speaker 1: They took a Carnell Tate, the Ohio State wide receiver. Dude,
- 43:34Speaker 1: he had him wide open, and he just completely missed
- 43:37Speaker 1: him on the touchdown. And he just is not very good.
- 43:43Speaker 1: I'm wondering when the hell the Cardinals are going to
- 43:45Speaker 1: go to Carson Beck. I'm wondering when that's going to
- 43:47Speaker 1: happen because what's the point of playing Brissette if you're 1-4,
- 43:51Speaker 1: if you're not going to be competitive?
- 43:53Speaker 3: And speaking of the Titans, I thought Tyler Goodson was
- 43:56Speaker 3: going to be RB2. He didn't look good last game.
- 43:59Speaker 3: Did we bring in Tony Pollard? Did we bring him
- 44:03Speaker 3: back in? On the trade?
- 44:07Speaker 1: Seventh rounder?
- 44:08Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't ask anything less than a sixth for him.
- 44:12Speaker 3: But I would bring him back in. He's like the
- 44:16Speaker 3: Marco Murray. All his success has been here. Actually, the
- 44:18Speaker 3: first season with Tennessee, he was pretty good. But I
- 44:21Speaker 3: don't think he's looked good as of late.
- 44:25Speaker 1: So the Texans make a trade for Marvin Harrison Jr.
- 44:28Speaker 1: And why did Adam Scheffner report? Yeah, the Cardinals are
- 44:32Speaker 1: going to trade Marvin Harrison.
- 44:34Speaker 3: Somebody. Somebody.
- 44:35Speaker 1: And then everybody was like, okay, well, who? Who's he
- 44:38Speaker 1: training them to? And then I had to look, and
- 44:41Speaker 1: I saw some other insider say, hey, yeah, it looks
- 44:44Speaker 1: like the Texans are going.
- 44:45Speaker 3: To be the ones. It was the Texans and somebody else.
- 44:50Speaker 1: I didn't see anybody else. I just saw somebody else
- 44:52Speaker 1: because I was like.
- 44:53Speaker 3: No, the speculations. I'm saying the speculations were like the
- 44:55Speaker 3: Texans and somebody else. I forgot who.
- 44:59Speaker 1: I think I saw Colts maybe because I saw somebody
- 45:02Speaker 1: saying bring them home maybe.
- 45:03Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 45:05Speaker 1: And, yeah, so I was like, but the fact that
- 45:09Speaker 1: Scheffner goes, yeah, he's getting traded, and he'll be inactive.
- 45:17Speaker 1: And I'm like, okay, well, who's he getting traded to?
- 45:20Speaker 1: He never said anything. Then a few hours later, oh,
- 45:23Speaker 1: the trade has been finalized. He's going to the Texans.
- 45:25Speaker 1: I'm like, you couldn't have told us that beforehand?
- 45:28Speaker 3: Right, yeah.
- 45:29Speaker 1: It's like, yeah, he's getting traded. Wouldn't you like to
- 45:32Speaker 1: know who he's getting traded to?
- 45:33Speaker 3: Wouldn't you like to know whether, boy? But he's going
- 45:36Speaker 3: back to his college quarterback.
- 45:39Speaker 1: We'll see if it makes a difference, man. It didn't
- 45:41Speaker 1: make a difference for Devontae Adams when he went to
- 45:44Speaker 1: Derek Carr.
- 45:44Speaker 3: Isn't it the same thing, though? They happened, the Cardinals
- 45:46Speaker 3: saved Devontae, DeAndre Hopkins to Houston? Or was that the
- 45:52Speaker 3: other way around? Am I mistaken?
- 45:54Speaker 1: Yeah, DeAndre Hopkins and Deshaun Watson. They were both Clemson guys.
- 45:59Speaker 3: No, no, no. I'm saying, hasn't this happened before with
- 46:02Speaker 3: DeAndre Hopkins going from the Cardinals to To Houston for
- 46:07Speaker 3: the running back. The running back.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I know what you're talking about. Man, I can't
- 46:12Speaker 1: think of his name, though.
- 46:13Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 46:14Speaker 1: I know what you're talking about.
- 46:17Speaker 3: And I think they've had that happen before already. Let
- 46:19Speaker 3: me get this.
- 46:21Speaker 1: What do you think about that game last night, man,
- 46:23Speaker 1: that was supposed to be the Super Bowl preview? I
- 46:25Speaker 1: don't know if it's going to be the Super Bowl
- 46:27Speaker 1: preview now because the Rams are in trouble. The Rams
- 46:30Speaker 1: are now 2-4. They're like Cowboys. They're 2-3. They can't
- 46:32Speaker 1: beat the Super Bowl. Yeah, and the Bills are.
- 46:37Speaker 3: Oh, it was the Bills.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Yeah. The Bills are now 4-1. That was a great game, dude.
- 46:42Speaker 1: I missed the first half, but in the second half,
- 46:44Speaker 1: I was like, oh, crap.
- 46:45Speaker 3: That was great. Dude, I was.
- 46:49Speaker 3: I got off work. I was like, all right, I'm
- 46:52Speaker 3: going to go get something for dinner. As I'm leaving
- 46:55Speaker 3: the spot, my sister and my brother call me, and
- 46:58Speaker 3: then I call my sister and say, hey, what's up?
- 47:00Speaker 3: It was a game. Your brother just called me and
- 47:04Speaker 3: said he locked his keys in his car and they're
- 47:06Speaker 3: at Target. I was like, oh, my God. I had
- 47:11Speaker 3: some food in the car. I was like, I'm going
- 47:12Speaker 3: to go home and get a wire hanger. I spent
- 47:15Speaker 3: like 45 minutes trying to help him. Finally got it.
- 47:18Speaker 3: So I think I only caught the end. But that was, yeah.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:23Speaker 3: So I kind of missed it. I missed it.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a great game, dude. The final two
- 47:30Speaker 1: minutes of it was incredible.
- 47:32Speaker 4: I mean.
- 47:33Speaker 1: The Bills score, and you could tell that Joe Brady,
- 47:36Speaker 1: the coach, was like, you left too much time on
- 47:38Speaker 1: the clock because there's 1.40 left. And, dude, they didn't
- 47:43Speaker 1: even have to take a timeout. They just kept going.
- 47:45Speaker 1: They had one timeout left, and they didn't even have
- 47:48Speaker 1: to use it, and they scored with four seconds left
- 47:50Speaker 1: to tie the game. And everybody was wondering, do you
- 47:55Speaker 1: go for two in the win? And then Joe Buck
- 47:59Speaker 1: threw out the stat that they have been 0-4. They're
- 48:04Speaker 1: 0-4 in two-point tries the last two years, including they
- 48:10Speaker 1: had one earlier tonight. The Rams don't convert two-point conversions.
- 48:15Speaker 3: How weird is that, man? This is incredibly weird. I
- 48:19Speaker 3: just thought it was so weird. Yeah, I mean, that's
- 48:21Speaker 3: a weird stat. But, I mean, the only reason why
- 48:23Speaker 3: I was keeping up with it is because I have
- 48:27Speaker 3: Stafford in one of my fantasies. And then I had
- 48:30Speaker 3: James Cook in another one.
- 48:31Speaker 1: Dude, the crazy thing about the overtime, the Bills open up.
- 48:36Speaker 1: They're driving. They're driving. Then James Cook fumbles, gets the
- 48:39Speaker 1: ball punched out for the second time that night. He
- 48:42Speaker 1: had one earlier. And it was the same guy. Same
- 48:44Speaker 1: linebacker punched it out. And then they drive down. They
- 48:50Speaker 1: get down to a field goal. It looks like they're
- 48:52Speaker 1: going to win it. And it's barely tipped and blocked
- 48:54Speaker 1: enough where it doesn't go in. And the Bills get it.
- 48:58Speaker 1: drive down, kick a field goal, win the game. And
- 49:02Speaker 1: it was funny on that field goal winning drive, the
- 49:06Speaker 1: linebacker again tried to punch the ball out on James
- 49:11Speaker 1: Cook and punched him in the head instead. So, yeah,
- 49:14Speaker 1: I was like, man, like that it's a crazy but
- 49:17Speaker 1: yeah the rams uh i hope all those people put
- 49:21Speaker 1: money on the rams and.
- 49:23Speaker 3: I don't give them i don't i'm not taking him
- 49:25Speaker 3: out i think he's i think it's still good enough
- 49:26Speaker 3: and to do like i mean puka do somebody i
- 49:29Speaker 3: think i saw somebody call him.
- 49:31Speaker 1: Well here's the thing they're pretty much the division is
- 49:34Speaker 1: pretty much out of reach for them they're way behind
- 49:38Speaker 1: And I don't know if you saw the stat that
- 49:40Speaker 1: there has only been like three non-division winners who won
- 49:46Speaker 1: the Super Bowl in the past 20 years. There's only three.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Mostly all of them who win the Super Bowl are
- 49:53Speaker 1: division winners. So if you don't win your division, you're
- 49:56Speaker 1: probably not going to win the Super Bowl. The last
- 49:58Speaker 1: one was Brady in 2020 with the Buccaneers. And then
- 50:02Speaker 1: the one before that was Aaron Rodgers and the Packers here.
- 50:07Speaker 1: In Cowboys. They didn't win the division. So, yeah, division winners,
- 50:12Speaker 1: if you're winning in your division, if you're a wild card,
- 50:15Speaker 1: it's rare when you win a Super Bowl as a
- 50:19Speaker 1: wild card team.
- 50:19Speaker 3: So, are you saying that the Cowboys' chances are over?
- 50:22Speaker 3: I mean, I think the division is wide open.
- 50:24Speaker 1: The division is wide open for us.
- 50:26Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, they got to get their shit together. They
- 50:31Speaker 3: won't even chance.
- 50:34Speaker 1: Need to get your car geared up for the fall
- 50:37Speaker 1: or winter? Go see American Auto Masters today. American Auto

- 51:07Speaker 1: is 972-438-8859, 972-438-8859. Tell them the White Wolf, Rene DeLeon,
- 51:15Speaker 1: sent you American Auto Masters serving DFW since 1985. Well,
- 51:24Speaker 1: let's get to the other big game here in DFW
- 51:27Speaker 1: that happened over the weekend, the Red River rivalry as usual.
- 51:34Speaker 3: It happened.
- 51:35Speaker 1: I didn't think it was going to happen. But it happened.
- 51:38Speaker 1: The Oklahoma Sooners pull off the upset. And it happened
- 51:44Speaker 1: basically the way I said. It's the only way it
- 51:47Speaker 1: can happen. They got two non-offensive touchdowns. A blocked punt.
- 51:54Speaker 1: And a pick six. For touchdowns. And 27-24. The final scores.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Sooners walk it off with a field goal after Arch
- 52:07Speaker 1: throws a bad pick. He threw a bad pick before
- 52:10Speaker 1: with a pick six. And I think where we got
- 52:15Speaker 1: to start, man, is we got to start with, I
- 52:21Speaker 1: think Sark is very, very, very, very average coach. He's
- 52:28Speaker 1: three and three in Red River, and he's lost him
- 52:31Speaker 1: two semifinals with play-calling And, you know, just decisions.
- 52:37Speaker 3: Decisions.
- 52:39Speaker 1: The first one that I went to, they had a
- 52:47Speaker 1: 21-point lead on the Sooners. And the Sooners went from
- 52:52Speaker 1: Spencer Rattler. They benched him, put Caleb Williams in. They
- 52:57Speaker 1: had a huge comeback and won that game. And I
- 53:00Speaker 1: was like, wow, I can't believe that happened. And then
- 53:03Speaker 1: they won the very next game, the very next year. Cool.
- 53:06Speaker 1: Then the year after that, in 24, yeah, 24, we
- 53:15Speaker 1: lost on, barely lost, one with the touchdown, I believe,
- 53:23Speaker 1: with like 17 seconds left. But we had a fourth
- 53:27Speaker 1: and goal in the fourth quarter and four tries from
- 53:32Speaker 1: the one Sarge just tried to ram it in with
- 53:35Speaker 1: Jonathan Brooks.
- 53:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 53:37Speaker 1: Instead of no play action, no nothing, no here, let's
- 53:41Speaker 1: try this, no RPO, no nothing. Straight up dive. Straight
- 53:44Speaker 1: up dive, straight up dive, straight up dive, and got
- 53:47Speaker 1: stopped all the time. There was just no imagination to it.
- 53:51Speaker 1: And same thing with the semifinals, you know, the loss
- 53:57Speaker 1: to Washington. We were driving. We had a chance to
- 54:00Speaker 1: win the game, and with, like, 37 seconds, he caused
- 54:04Speaker 1: a wide receiver bubble screen.
- 54:06Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 54:06Speaker 1: And I'm like, you're going forward. He caught it.
- 54:09Speaker 3: I remember that.
- 54:10Speaker 1: He got down. He got tackled. Time's running. I'm like,
- 54:13Speaker 1: what the hell was that?
- 54:15Speaker 3: And he did it twice, didn't he?
- 54:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I was like, what the hell? And then at
- 54:20Speaker 1: the Cotton Bowl two years ago, you know, semifinal, you're
- 54:25Speaker 1: about to score. You're inside the five. You're at the
- 54:29Speaker 1: two-yard line. All you need to get is two yards.
- 54:32Speaker 1: He throws a pitch back to Jaden Blue for a
- 54:38Speaker 1: five-yard loss, and now you need seven yards. And then,
- 54:42Speaker 1: of course, Quinn Ewers got sacked, fumbled, and the fumble
- 54:45Speaker 1: got returned all the way. And, dude, it's just stuff
- 54:49Speaker 1: like this. So I go back to the Ohio State game.
- 54:55Speaker 1: This year? Yeah, this year. He went for it three times.
- 55:02Speaker 1: On fourth down. He converted all of them. And afterwards,
- 55:07Speaker 1: in the press conference, he said, they don't pay me
- 55:12Speaker 1: to play it safe on fourth down.
- 55:14Speaker 3: I know where you're going with this.
- 55:16Speaker 1: Two-minute warning. You're at the OU 35. Fourth and two.
- 55:22Speaker 1: And what does Stark decide to do? Let's go try
- 55:25Speaker 1: a 53-yard field goal.
- 55:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:27Speaker 1: A 53-yard field goal.
- 55:29Speaker 3: That's what I was going to say. You know what?
- 55:31Speaker 3: I think, I don't know if that's what you, but
- 55:37Speaker 3: I don't think he's an average coach. I think he's
- 55:39Speaker 3: an average play caller. And I think he needs to go,
- 55:43Speaker 3: he needs to humble himself and do what Saban did.
- 55:47Speaker 3: Get yourself an offensive coordinator and start calling the plays.
- 55:50Speaker 1: Well, he was Saban's offensive coordinator, and they ran great offense,
- 55:53Speaker 1: but the Thing is, the buck did not stop with him.
- 55:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:57Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. He makes some bad decisions at
- 56:00Speaker 1: nut crunch time.
- 56:01Speaker 3: He does. On that 14-2, I'm like, this is your
- 56:04Speaker 3: golden boy quarterback. This is the golden boy quarterback that
- 56:07Speaker 3: you wanted and that everybody's like, oh, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning.
- 56:14Speaker 1: If you miss the kick, you're going to give him
- 56:15Speaker 1: that ball anyway. Go for it. Try to win the game.
- 56:20Speaker 3: So, yeah, that was a stupid thing to do. Your
- 56:24Speaker 3: defense was playing really well until the second half. I
- 56:27Speaker 3: feel like the second half.
- 56:28Speaker 1: Dude, they only gave you 10 points. I don't even
- 56:31Speaker 1: count the game winning field goal because that was off
- 56:34Speaker 1: the pick. They had great field position.
- 56:36Speaker 3: That was terrible.
- 56:37Speaker 1: So, yeah, they only gave up 10 points and then.
- 56:40Speaker 1: They did have a pick that was called back. I
- 56:43Speaker 1: don't know what you're expecting that kid to do. He
- 56:46Speaker 1: leaped three yards away to try to tip the ball,
- 56:50Speaker 1: and his momentum is taking him forward. What is he
- 56:53Speaker 1: supposed to do?
- 56:55Speaker 3: But also, I mean, is it time that we start
- 56:57Speaker 3: having the conversation about Arch? He's just an average quarterback
- 57:01Speaker 3: with a big name?
- 57:02Speaker 1: Man, I don't know because, like, I've seen stuff today, like,
- 57:06Speaker 1: I've seen some scouts say, man, he does. You see
- 57:09Speaker 1: it there. Oh, you see it. But then you wonder
- 57:12Speaker 1: about play calling. And he doesn't put it. And I
- 57:16Speaker 1: think it's the plays. Look, I saw somebody like, okay,
- 57:20Speaker 1: they're trying to speed up his clock. They're trying to
- 57:22Speaker 1: tell him, hey, speed up a clock.
- 57:24Speaker 3: Throw it.
- 57:25Speaker 1: Do you see any quick slants being called? Do you
- 57:28Speaker 1: see any– when's the last time you saw a running
- 57:31Speaker 1: back screen?
- 57:31Speaker 3: You don't.
- 57:32Speaker 1: His fast is a wide receiver screen, those stupid wide
- 57:37Speaker 1: receiver screens that I hate that Sark calls. I hate those.
- 57:40Speaker 3: But is that just this season or previous seasons as well?
- 57:42Speaker 1: Because now we're going to– Where is the Jaden Blue
- 57:46Speaker 1: wheel routes that he hit, that Quinn Ewers hit twice?
- 57:50Speaker 1: Where is that? I haven't seen that from play call.
- 57:52Speaker 1: I don't see the running backs running wheel routes. You
- 57:55Speaker 1: don't see these different plays. And, like, somebody put some
- 58:00Speaker 1: of the plays they ran with Quinn Ewers. Like, where
- 58:02Speaker 1: did these plays go?
- 58:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:04Speaker 1: Where did they go? So that's what I'm wondering. Like,
- 58:08Speaker 1: where has this gone?
- 58:09Speaker 3: But, yeah, I mean, you do see, because we talk
- 58:11Speaker 3: about it, and we watch a few games together, and
- 58:13Speaker 3: we all, like, that's the NFL throw right there. That's
- 58:16Speaker 3: the throw. But then he goes and does stupid shit
- 58:18Speaker 3: like he did against Tennessee. He crosses the line of
- 58:21Speaker 3: scrimmage and throws the ball. That would happen twice in that.
- 58:24Speaker 1: That happened three weeks in a row. They did it
- 58:26Speaker 1: against UTSA. They did it against Ohio State.
- 58:29Speaker 3: And the thing is, this team, they were ranked number one,
- 58:34Speaker 3: but I don't think they should have been number one.
- 58:36Speaker 3: Because Georgia's killing it.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Well, they were ranked number one because you got wins
- 58:40Speaker 1: against Ohio State and Tennessee. Right. And that's, I think,
- 58:42Speaker 1: for me, when we were talking about it on Sunday, like,
- 58:45Speaker 1: what do you think they're going to be ranked? And
- 58:47Speaker 1: I said, man, I think 10, at least 10. I
- 58:49Speaker 1: was surprised they were seven, but then I thought about it, like, Well,
- 58:53Speaker 1: that's probably cause they have the bullets in the chamber that, Hey,
- 58:56Speaker 1: we beat Ohio state. We beat Tennessee.
- 58:59Speaker 3: So there's, and then we're going into a gauntlet right now.
- 59:03Speaker 3: Is it a gauntlet? though? I mean, not with Florida loss,
- 59:06Speaker 3: but they lost twice already.
- 59:07Speaker 1: I will say this though. Uh, I didn't think the
- 59:11Speaker 1: first half was bad. The first half was good.
- 59:12Speaker 3: Except for that dumb block punt where they just let
- 59:17Speaker 3: the middle guy just ramp right through them. And the
- 59:20Speaker 3: defense was playing lights out. I mean, Colin Simmons was
- 59:23Speaker 3: playing lights out. I thought he was going to piss
- 59:26Speaker 3: on everybody and shit. And then the second half came
- 59:28Speaker 3: and he got shut down.
- 59:29Speaker 1: Give Brent Venables his credit. He made great adjustments in
- 59:32Speaker 1: the second half. Disrupted arch. But I'm telling you, I mean,
- 59:36Speaker 1: the blitzing and.
- 59:37Speaker 3: The running game's not there.
- 59:39Speaker 1: Yeah, the protection's not there. But also, I mean, if
- 59:42Speaker 1: there's no wider... You know how you beat a blitz,
- 59:46Speaker 1: quick slant, or running back screen?
- 59:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:48Speaker 1: That's how you... And you don't call those. You don't...
- 59:51Speaker 1: Seems like Sark doesn't have... Yeah, seems like Sark doesn't
- 59:54Speaker 1: have that.
- 59:55Speaker 3: Well, that's what I'm saying. I don't think he's an
- 59:57Speaker 3: average coach. I think he's just an average play caller.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: But now, like last year when you lost to Florida,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: I think this is the same type of... No disrespect
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: to the Sooners. I know some Sooners fans are going
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: to be saying, you're calling us that. It was a
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: loss not expected.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: Seriously.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: I did not expect it. I had it down as
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: a win. So now, you can only afford to lose
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: one more. You've got Florida. Florida's off of two losses.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: They got embarrassed at home by South Carolina, 1938. And Arkansas.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: You got that.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: You got... Arkansas is not that big, but you've got
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Mississippi State. I don't know what his health is going
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: to be like during that game. I know the Ole
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: Miss game in two weeks is a night game now.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: That's going to be a very important game. Ole Miss
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: and the Missouri game, because Missouri is on the road.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Those are the two games where I'm like, those might
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: be losses. You're now going to have to win one
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: of those.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: You have to.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: You have to win one of those. You have to
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: win Florida. You have to beat Mississippi State. You're going
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: to have to win because if you're a three-loss team,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: I don't know if you get in.
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: No, I don't think so. Especially with the expanded playoff.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: For Oklahoma, this was their season win. They're not going anywhere.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: They're going to lose a few more games.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: Yeah. Somebody at work, she's like, I don't care how
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: the season goes anymore. The season's over for me. Beat
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: the Longhorns. And that's it.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: Yeah. Because they know where they're at. They only got
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: 10 points from their offense. They know it.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: But I think for the Longhorns, I've heard people like,
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: I think they're going to lose three. Then that's out.
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: They lose two, they're still in. I think they still
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: make the playoff view good. But you don't want to, though.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Yeah. You're now going to have to beat either Ole
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Miss or Missouri. You have to take care of Florida.
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: You do have LSU, too.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: That's another one, and you're going to have to win
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: some games, and this offense better get better because that
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: loss right there is probably going to keep you out
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: of the playoffs if you lose two more. I didn't
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: think that was going to be there, too. I thought
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: they were going to have two losses. I didn't expect
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: the OU one.
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: To be a loss. And don't let Moxer Reed have
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: the game of a season against you. You don't have
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: to worry about that. I mean, he sucks. He sucks.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: I don't know how you're not benching him already. He
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: should have been benched two games ago when they lost
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: to Kentucky.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: All right, so let's get to that one, man. 27-6,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Missouri just takes it. They was terrible, and then the
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: big story was what happened after.
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: Speaking of Missouri, that's going to be a problem for Texas, too. Well,
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: that's what I'm saying. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I'll
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: be at that game, but ooh. Yeah, that's going to
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: be interesting because I had them down. I thought The
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: LSU game, I thought the Missouri game, I thought the
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: Tennessee game, those were three games that you'll probably have
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: a chance of losing. I thought you have to win
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: a couple of those games because the Ole Miss one
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: is a toss-up to me with Chambliss.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Let's see how that goes. You've got to think that
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: you have to win one of those games. Missouri, Texas
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: A & M, 27-6. But the big fireworks were after as, man,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: I think Mike Elko lost his freaking mind.
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: And I think you're probably going to see Mike Elko
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: fired here pretty soon because here's the thing about those
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: Texas Ags, that message board. Those are the donors, though.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: Those are the donors. Those are the season ticket holders.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: It's not some just fan service. It's people who are
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: actually doing the money. Yeah. And the fact that he
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: took a shot, he walked it back yesterday immediately. He
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: was like, oh, yeah, I answered that. He called Billy Lucci,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Billy Suspo.
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: Billy Suspo, yeah.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: So I listened to his podcast with Amanda Atwill, Moving Goalposts,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: where they're both talking about both teams. And they just
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: talk about their weeks and stuff. That guy there is
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: your biggest freaking supporter. He's your biggest freaking supporter. So
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: for you to go off and call him Billy Cesspool,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: and even Billy Lucci was on with the Barstool guys
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: on Monday morning, and he was like, man, I've never
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: had a problem with him. And he was like, I
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: don't think he was taking a shot at me. And
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: then immediately, Dave Portnoy says, he said Billy Cesspool.
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: He said your name.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: It was directed at you. What are you talking about? But, man,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: they're the most loyal fans there are. I mean, as
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: much as we make fun of Aggies, They are the
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: most loyal fans, and the fact that you took a
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: shot at them when your team is sucking, when you
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: refuse to bench your quarterback who is playing the worst
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: and has regressed. He threw two more picks.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: I think he threw like 138 yards. That was it.
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I watched the beginning of it, I think, or
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: halfway through it, and I was like, man, they suck.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not good, and that offense is terrible. And,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: you know, I've said recently that I predict we're going
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: to lose four games this year. Dude, it might be
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: five or six.
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Because they have some games where they have an Alabama game.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: They have a South Carolina game. In South Carolina, they
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: have Texas. You know, they have all these games. They
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: might lose a few more.
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: Yeah, man. It's a bad situation out there for now.
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: And Like you said, I think Mike Elko might get
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: fired here pretty soon, and they'll be the same as.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Dude, they just gave him an extension. Now, apparently.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: What was it? I think what I heard was that
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: the ink's not dry yet. Apparently, they can still get
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: out of it. Because apparently, they were worried. They extended
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: him at the end of the year, last year, because
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: apparently Penn State... kept kept sniffing around him yeah so
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: they were like oh we can't let his coach go
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: away so they gave him the big bag but uh
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: from what i've heard from people down there like yeah
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: it's not really set in stone yet it's not really
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: the ink dry.
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: There has to be like some sort of things like
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: if you don't do this and you won't get it.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: Well i don't know if he's if he's signed it
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: or if apparently the board has to ratify it or
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: something so maybe now but yeah i i don't think
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: he's long to be the aggie coach man i i
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: just don't see it i don't see it at all
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: george is the new number one beat alabama 2017 they
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: got away with a big pass in their friend yeah.
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: I heard about that i think i was that was
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: after the texas game yeah by that time i was already.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: Yeah i saw a little bit of it and Went back,
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: watched highlights. I thought they got away with one, and
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: it was pretty much, it was kind of funny because
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: the exact same play happened the reverse, and Georgia got
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: the call. Georgia got flagged on. Georgia got the call
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: from Alabama. This time around, they don't get the call,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: and Georgia escapes 20-17. Talk about escaping also Indiana and Nebraska.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: I thought they were going to lose, and then when
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: I saw they came back and won 20-17, I was like, oh, crap. But, yeah,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: we had a couple of upsets. LSU's are now upset.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: I don't think LSU's as good as everybody thought they
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: were going to be. That's two losses. Yeah. They can't
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: afford to lose another man.
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: No, because they're out.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: They're out.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: I mean, they lost to Ole Miss, right? They lost
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: to Ole Miss. They now lost to Kentucky. Kentucky is again.
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: Kentucky is for real.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: You need to.
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: 35 to 20, 34. Stein is a good coach, man.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: He's a good coach. When they beat A & M,
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: and he's what? He's a 34-year-old head coach?
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: They didn't just beat him. They took the woodshed.
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: He's good.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: That's how this ball got rolling down in A & M. UCLA,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: 17 to 15, man. They upset Oregon. They're undefeated. Yeah.
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: That's another problem, but also speaking of Oregon, I mean,
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: they were supposed to be, I thought they were like
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: the champion favorites.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: They're out, dude.
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: No, they're out.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: They had Dante Moore coming back. That talent they have.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: They did not look right in that first week against Boise.
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: And you had so many players coming back that could
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: have gone to the NFL in the first round, maybe
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: second round, and they decided to come back for the season.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: So they've now lost. What the Oregon, what they need
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: to happen, they need to win out. But I don't
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: know if they can win out because they play Ohio State.
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: Yeah. And that means that we'll put Ohio State at
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: two losses. Do they want to go down two and out?
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: I mean, two losses?
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Nah. Oregon needs to win out, and they need UCLA
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: to keep winning. They need Oklahoma State to win the
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Big 12. They need to show that, oh, yeah, well,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: we lost to these great teams. But, dude, I don't
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: see it. I think UCLA's going to slip up here
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: and there. I don't know what to make of them yet.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Oklahoma State, I think they're going to win the Big 12,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: but they might have a loss. They lost to Tulsa.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: They might have another loss.
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: Who knows?
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: But, yeah, I think Oregon's done for. I think they're
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: going to lose. They're going to lose definitely to Ohio State.
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:09:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: And then with Oklahoma State, I mean, the quarterback's playing.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: He's playing lights out, too. He might be the first
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: quarterback taken in next year's draft.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I think so. The way he's playing. He might
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: be Mendoza all over again where he just rises, shoots
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: up the draft boards, you know. North Carolina upset Pitt.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: I thought that was huge for Belichick.
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: It was.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: He needed that. He's now got two wins that he
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: wasn't supposed to get, one against TCU and one against Pitt.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: That was really surprising. I mean, I don't know. I
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: don't think they're going to do anything in the ACC because,
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: you know, you got Miami. You got SMU. So, yeah,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: I don't know how they're going to do it. But, yeah,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: North Carolina, man, that's a very good win for Belichick.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: He needed that big time.
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Week 7, dude, is going to be crazy. Because in
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: the morning, we got OSU and Indiana, Ohio State and Indiana,
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: Texas at Florida. Then we have Mississippi State, LSU, Alabama, Tennessee, Missouri,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: Ole Miss. Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee. Whoever wins that game,
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: whoever loses that game is probably out of the playoffs.
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: If they both have one loss.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: They both have one loss.
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: I don't think it's going to be Missouri, dude. Missouri,
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: I've watched them twice.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: It's a no-miss, though. That's the thing. So we'll see.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: We'll see how they travel. They didn't travel well against
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: Mississippi State. So Notre Dame, BYU, Oklahoma State, Houston. Man,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: that's some fantastic matchups.
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: Yeah, that's going to be a busy Saturday.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: But I'm starting to think, though, man, can you get
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: in with three losses? Because there's a lot of teams
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: playing each other.
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I guess it's just this might be
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: the week that decides that.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: That's why those non-conference wins, man, are so huge now.
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: Because now Texas has that win against Ohio State. Oklahoma
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: State has that win against Oregon. You know, those– matter
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: but and i think that's why they're going to go
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: away because people are don't want to the universities and
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: the programs just they don't want to risk it like
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: i'm not risking i'm not risking doing this man i'm
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: not risking uh putting my uh putting my program in
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: jeopardy losing these big games especially when you you're gonna
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: have big games already in conference yeah regardless So what
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: game are you looking forward to the most besides Texas?
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: I'm liking one of the early games as well. I mean,
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: that Ohio State-Indiana is going to be.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: … That's right at the same time, man. You're going
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: to have to do a dual screen or something. Go
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: somewhere and watch it.
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: The only reason I think is the Missouri Ole Miss.
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: One of the main reasons is because my niece's boyfriend
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: goes there and … I want to see what they
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: are before we go because I'm going to that game,
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: Texas-Missouri game, and Columbia. So I want to see what
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: they are. If they're for real, they're going to be
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: a real threat to the Longhorns. Yeah, that's the one
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: I'm looking for. And I want to see Chamblee because
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: I thought at some point he was the best player
- 1:12:53Speaker 3: in college football. And Keewon Lacey. Keewon Lacey is so entertaining, dude.
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: He runs so hard. Yeah, I love watching him play.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Man, Mississippi State and LSU and Alabama-Tennessee. The Alabama-Tennessee game now,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: that's a knockout game because the losers got two losses now.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: And we're in week seven, dude. Week eight is the
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: playoff projections. After week eight, that's when the playoff projection
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: comes out. I'm pretty sure about that. That's normally week eight.
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: That's the first.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: The first one, yeah. So, yeah, that's going to be huge.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: But that's crazy that we got three games at 11 o'clock.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: Florida State, Florida, Texas, Ohio State, Indiana, Mississippi, LSU.
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: That had big implications for the team. I mean, at
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: least in the Florida State and in the Florida-Texas game,
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: I don't think that's Texas. Not both teams, I feel like.
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: But the other two, yeah, both. Those four teams, whoever loses,
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: like you said, they're probably going to be out.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: And then at 2.30, we've got the Alabama-Tennessee game. Missouri
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Ole Miss, man, is going to be dual screen watching
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: pretty much the whole time. And even at night, you
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: got Notre Dame, BYU, ABC, and you got Oklahoma State
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: and Houston on Fox. So, man, just every window, the
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: three-game windows, you're going to have to watch multiple games
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: or go back and watch some of these games.
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: Good thing for multi-view.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: Multi-view. Well, well, well, we are in the championship series
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: in baseball. And I find this fascinating because, to me,
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: we're on our verge for a lockout. Nobody disagrees. And
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: right now it appears that baseball is rooting for one
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: team and the Players Association is rooting for three teams because.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: In a year where the Players Association needs the Dodgers
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: to lose, the Dodgers are losing. They're down 0-2. The
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Brewers are two games from going to the World Series.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: Can they pull it off? Can they finish them off?
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: And if they do, I expect right away the MLB
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: Players Association to put out a statement that said, you see,
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: there's no need for a salary cap. Three teams are in.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: are going that are way.
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: Below yeah the payroll the payrolls i mean those three
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: teams that you mentioned is cleveland and brewers yeah those
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: three combined payrolls don't even equal the dodgers yeah don't
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: even get close to the payroll not.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Even close and that's why i find it fascinating and
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: i'm telling you i was kind of half joking but
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: i was like the more i watched it i was
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: like You know, I saw them play against the Braves.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: They look like the Dodgers. They look like the Dodgers
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: of last year. And that's why I said last episode, man,
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: having Scooble is unfair because you got Yamamoto, you got Snell, and,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: you know, now I'm like, wait, Scooble didn't pitch well
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: game one? Yamamoto, who's lights out, who's practically unhittable, did
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: not pitch well? He pitched awful. He was missing, and
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: I'm like, Did the Code Red get ordered? He's like,
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: come on, guys. You got to lose this one for baseball.
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: Credit to the Brewers, though.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: You got to lose this one for the cause. Yeah.
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: Credit to the Brewers for playing small ball. So, yeah.
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: And then this series right now that we're watching, Cleveland
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: Indians and Tampa Bay, not the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Guardians.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: They're out, man. I don't even call them the Guardians.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: I just call them Cleveland because I get you needed
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: to change the name. Why couldn't you go to the
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: Cleveland Tribe? Why couldn't you just call them the Tribe?
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: That's what they were known as, the tribe. Go call
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: them the tribe. What's wrong with that? I don't like
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: the Guardians. Why did they get called the Guardians?
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: I thought it was because they have this.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: Some bridge or something? Yeah, but people that I've met
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: from Cleveland, they're like, yeah, we have no idea why
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: they did that. We don't even pay attention to that.
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: And now the Dodgers are talking about benching Otani.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: Apparently they're not. It came down earlier that he's going
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: to play tomorrow. They're going to stick with him. that
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: yeah ken rosenthal said that they are going to stick
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: with otani that he's not he's not uh he's gonna
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: he's gonna play all right man yeah i just i
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: find this fascinating i'm like in the year that we're
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: gonna get the lockout the players association they need the
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: lodgers to lose simple as that if the if they
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: win at all mob is gonna be like see We
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: need a salary cap.
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: But there's also a little bit of a bad thing
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: for MLB, though, because I don't care who wins in
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: the AL. I don't care who wins.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:17:58Speaker 3: But if you get a Brewers, Cleveland, Brewers, Tampa Bay
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: World Series, the viewership is going to be bad.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it's going to be like Rangers Dimebacks. Rangers Dimebacks
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: was one of the lowest rated. We cared about it,
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: but nobody else did.
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: So, yeah, I mean, they wouldn't sacrifice viewership. for them
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: hopefully to be able to work out a deal so
- 1:18:21Speaker 3: that way we don't you know we don't miss any
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: baseball next year we'll see they did have that one
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: that one proposal they're going from 162.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: To 154 and i like that i'm okay with that
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: what i don't like is uh the top seed can
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: choose who they.
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: Want to face what the hell is that a little
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: bit like oh where am i playing am i playing
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: in the Oh, you know the, what do you call
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: it in the, the Sandlot? Isn't it like, I'm the winner,
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: so I get to choose my opponent? Nah, I think it's,
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: I think it's just too. go by seating. One thing
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: that does bother me is this current seating right now
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: with having, you know, the top, obviously the winners, they
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: get the one, two, three seat. But then you have the,
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: especially in the AL, what happened with the Yankees, they
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: had the second best record in the AL, ended up
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: having to be the fourth seat. So, I don't know.
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: It's just kind of weird. They've got to figure something out.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: Yeah, they've got to figure something out. Also, I think
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: they need to change the ABS, dude, because these guys
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: are holding on to these ABS challenges like, damn, I
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: can't challenge there yet. We've got to hold on to it.
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: I get regular season, they don't want it, but I
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: think for the postseason, they need to add more.
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: Add more?
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: Yeah, because it's too important, man. Some of these calls,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: I'm like, I saw one where I was like, man,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: that's borderline. Why didn't you... And the catcher's like... And
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: I saw one where the hitter was like... Looked back
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: and goes, really? Where was that? And now the umpires
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: are saying... The umpires aren't telling them it's low or high.
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: They're saying challenge it. They're saying challenge it. That's what
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: they're telling them.
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: Which I would do the same thing. If you have
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: that option in your back pocket, use it. But again...
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: I think for me it's a little bit of both
- 1:20:13Speaker 3: because I don't think– and it also depends on the situation.
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: But in the first three to four innings, I don't
- 1:20:18Speaker 3: think it really matters that much if you challenge it
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: or not. Obviously, if you have men on base, if
- 1:20:22Speaker 3: you have somebody that you get a chance to score
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: or whatever, that kind of thing, yes, challenge it. But
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: if it's going– if the game is flowing, it's going one, two, three, one, two, three,
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: maybe a man on first here and there. And nobody's scoring.
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: I get why you're not challenging. Like, you know, don't
- 1:20:37Speaker 3: fucking challenge him. Why not? Maybe later on, if we
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: score it, we're in a tight situation. But at the
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: same time, like you said, yeah, give him maybe two
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: or three more. No, not two. Maybe one or two more.
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: Then we have four challenges.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: I mean, I like my proposal. I mean, I think
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: everybody should have four.
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: One appearance.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: One per plate appearance.
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: One per plate?
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: One per plate appearance.
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: Like each player?
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: Each player should have one per plate appearance.
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: So that's 27.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: Yeah. It's three seconds. What's three seconds?
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: Well, I don't think it's about the time.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: No, it is about the time. They say it's about
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: the time. They're like, oh, well, it'll take too long.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: You just told me it takes three seconds to do it.
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: But it's crazy, though, because we had some two-hour games
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: in the season just by adding that.
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. It doesn't take anything. It's three seconds.
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: Shorten the game even more.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: Shorten the game even more.
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: I mean, football games are three hours, three and a
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: half hours. Basketball game, same. Why do we want to
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: shorten the baseball? It's the best sport.
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: So right now we got Tampa Bay up 3-0 on Cleveland.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: Of course, Cleveland won the first game. We got the
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: Dodgers 0-2. So as we sit here next week when
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: we record... Do you think the Dodgers are done? Yeah.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: You think the Dodgers are done?
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: I do, too, because you lost the Scooble and the
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: Yamamoto game.
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: Yeah, you had two best pitchers. Now you have Blake
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: Snell and what's his name?
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: Blake Snell, he's good in the postseason.
- 1:22:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm saying, yeah.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: He's good, but I just, man, you've got to win.
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: But I think also, I mean, the Dodgers have depth. Like,
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: the superstar depth they have is crazy.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: They're keeping Ohtani in for Dave Roberts announced that Otani's
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: going to be in.
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: And I think Otani's just, he can't wait to just
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: break out. It's going to take one at-bath to turn
- 1:22:29Speaker 3: that switch on, and he's like, all right, I'm about
- 1:22:31Speaker 3: to take over. But then you've got Fred Freeman, Mookie Betts,
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: Kyle Tucker, Will Smith. I mean, come on, man. That
- 1:22:39Speaker 3: team is loaded.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: Yeah, we know who the starters are for our next game.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: We don't know for game four.
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: I'd probably be with the Mets.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: Game four, I don't know. Short rest? I don't know.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: Game five, it's probably Skubal and Miz. Mizorowski, yeah.
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: Are we going back three to L.A. or three to Milwaukee?
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: Three L.A., yeah. Three in L.A.? Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
- 1:23:03Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know. Shit, now I don't know
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: if it's going to be done, but I think it
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: will only take one for Milwaukee to win one game
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: in L.A., and then that's it.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: Man, I think the Dodgers need to win three games
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: in L.A.
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: Well, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: I think they need to win all three games. They
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: need to win Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and go back to
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: Milwaukee knowing, okay, we just.
- 1:23:24Speaker 3: Got to get one.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: If you lose one, I think that's it.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: Yeah. I think if you go down three games and
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: you go back to Milwaukee, I don't think they'll win.
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: I think that's the mentality for Milwaukee right now. They're like,
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: we have to win one. I don't care which one
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: it is. Win one.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: Dude, if they win tomorrow night, so long.
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: Yeah. Now, if you win, if you win one, if they.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: Win tomorrow night, the MLB PA is starting to type
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: up their response immediately.
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: Here we go. This is what we need.
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: And they're going to be like, see, the playoffs have
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: proven once again, we do not need a salary cap.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: They're going to be all up in there. That's what
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: I find so fascinating about this is like, man, like
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: the time they needed the Dodgers to lose the Dodgers
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: are losing and they don't look like themselves. And it's just,
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: it's maddening, man, that, Baseball must be like, are you
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: freaking kidding me?
- 1:24:13Speaker 3: Please don't make me watch the bananas. Do not make
- 1:24:16Speaker 3: me watch the bananas.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: Do not make me watch the bananas. That's funny, bro.
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: That's really funny.
- 1:24:24Speaker 4: I hit it and quit it. Then I move on
- 1:24:26Speaker 4: to the next. And with the next, I hit it
- 1:24:30Speaker 4: and quit it. And what do I do with the
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: next one? I hit it and quit it.
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: I want you to hit it.
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: Hit it and quit it time. This is where we
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: do our quick hits. Our version of it. Got four.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: Let's start with the Stars week. Hey, man, they played great.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: When we recorded our show last week, they got their
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: first win. And then they went to Buffalo and got
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: another win, too. Went to Pittsburgh, got a point. Right
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: now they're 1-1 with the Avalanche. I believe who scored
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: for them. Tyler Sagan scored on the power play.
- 1:25:23Speaker 3: He did. I saw that.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: I did see that one.
- 1:25:27Speaker 3: They're 2-2-1.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: Avalanche are 3-2.
- 1:25:29Speaker 3: Miko's doing Miko things. Yeah, of course he is. But
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: he had four points against Buffalo.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: Yeah, four points, dude.
- 1:25:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: And he had that amazing goal.
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: Odinger had two back-to-back shutouts.
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: Robbo looking pretty good. Yeah, I mean, Robbo right now
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: has a. 7 goals against,. 74 goals against, and a 9.63
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: save percentage. He's been amazing. He's doing auto things.
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: Yeah, we got Colorado tonight. We got Colorado tomorrow, which
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: is weird. They're going to Colorado as soon as the
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: game ends. Both teams to play tomorrow. In Colorado. And
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: then they got the Blackhawks on Saturday in Chicago. And
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: then next Tuesday, they're back here playing the Boston Bruins.
- 1:26:12Speaker 3: Yeah. Matt Duchesne.
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: Matt Duchesne, dude. You know, it's funny that they had
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: their media day, and Jim Ngo now says, yeah, everybody's good, man.
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: Nobody has injuries from the offseason. Everybody's healthy. And Matt
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: Duchesne plays one preseason game. And that's it. He's out
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: three months.
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: Three months, yep.
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: Core injury. They're not saying what it is. It's a
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: core injury.
- 1:26:36Speaker 3: But hockey, they don't really say what it is.
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: Yeah, they don't really say.
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: What it is. Core injury, lower body, upper body injury, yeah. Yeah,
- 1:26:43Speaker 3: that kind of sucks for him. But, I mean, this team,
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: I think now, like I said, you know, the first
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: two games, I was like, these motherfuckers forgot that it
- 1:26:51Speaker 3: was an 84-game season. They forgot about it.
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: I told my buddy who's a Stars holder, like, yeah,
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: I forgot it was 84-game season. He started laughing. He goes, man,
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: I hadn't thought about that.
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: Yeah, they fucking forgot.
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: I said, yeah, they just forgot, dude. It is what
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: it is. Did you see Corey Seager had a bone
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: spur in an elbow, and he got surgery. He's apparently
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: dealt with it for months.
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: Okay, so they're just looking for excuses why he's kind
- 1:27:19Speaker 3: of sucked.
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: Apparently, but, yeah, that's what it was. That came out,
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: and I was like, well, okay. So that explains why
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: he was pretty bad this year. He couldn't swing the
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: bat the way he normally swings it.
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and I was like, okay, I guess. I guess
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: that's what it is. Do you see Patrick Dumont had
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: an interview with the Athletic Exclusive.
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: I did not see that.
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's been three years since he basically came
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: to controlling interest, and apparently during the transition, So I
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: was wondering, okay, so how is this money going to
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: come out? Are they paying for it out of their
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: pocket for this new arena? And apparently it's going to
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: be the Sands Corporation, the actual casino. They're paying it,
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: but they're not putting a casino in. And when asked
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: about that, you know, he said they had the idea
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: at one time, but he said that, you know, I
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: think a lot of people think, gee, if you build
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: a home for the Mavericks, won't you build a casino
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: next to it? The answer is no. To build what
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: we want to build, there's not enough space, they won't fit,
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: and they are on a different scale. timeline anyway, meaning
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: the Mavs, the state's gambling issue.
- 1:28:47Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: That Sports gambling. It's on a different timeline. So he's like, yeah,
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: I just, I think that basically he's admitting that it
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: killed us.
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: They thought, okay, well, we're down here. We gave money
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: to Patrick. We give money to Abbott. It'll change. And
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: it hasn't.
- 1:29:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: That they're big donors to them and they're like, no,
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: has not happened.
- 1:29:12Speaker 3: Well, we know the Addison family was, they were very,
- 1:29:15Speaker 3: very far right leaning anyhow. So now they just, playing
- 1:29:19Speaker 3: they're playing themselves.
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: So on the fans and how much criticism they've gotten
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: since the lucca trade he said it's a part of
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: life the important thing is the future you do and
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: to keep trying to do the right thing and keep
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: trying to move forward that's what we are doing now
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: that's his reply to you know we yeah we did
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: lucca and he says we feel good about our future
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: we're going to keep pushing our goal is to build
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: a winner our goal is to win a championship and
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: have the best franchise in the nba that's what we're
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: investing towards so yeah he said i think we have
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: the best fans of sports they love the city sports
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: unbelievable matters unbelievably to everyone there it's been super exciting
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: our family loves the team we love being dallas mavericks
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: we are very excited about this upcoming game there is
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: obviously been a lot of change but it's fantastic.
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: All right yeah all right bro And speaking of arenas,
- 1:30:11Speaker 3: did you see the Plano School District gave it up
- 1:30:17Speaker 3: to $ 250 million?
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: Because we've been following this arena mess for the past
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: couple of years. When I saw that, I started laughing.
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: The Plano ISD, the Independent School District, has agreed to
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: put $ 250 million of their own money into the Dallas
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: Stars' new arena. And apparently it will assure them that
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: they can use the arena for their events, graduations, and
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: what such. What other arenas, what other things can you
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: do there?
- 1:30:50Speaker 3: Well, I mean, in the arena, I don't know, concerts
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: and stuff. I mean, for the Plano ASD.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: For the Plano ASD, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: I mean, can you do, like, state championships, like, games, like,
- 1:31:00Speaker 3: basketball events?
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: In that arena for that?
- 1:31:04Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know. I don't know, dude. I'm
- 1:31:05Speaker 3: trying to come up with something.
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: I mean, it's in the 20,000 people, right? 20,000 people arena.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: That's what an arena normally is, 20,000. Prom?
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: Prom, 20,000 proms.
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: They're going to let. Let's put all the proms together.
- 1:31:19Speaker 3: All at once. I don't know what else. I don't
- 1:31:23Speaker 3: know what else you could do. I mean, concerts, but
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: that has nothing to do with the ISD. So, yeah,
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: I know you're excited about seeing your fellow countryman, Canelo Alvarez,
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: fight on Halloween. But the question is, will it take
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: place on Halloween and will it take place in Saudi
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: and Riyadh? I don't know if you've seen what's going
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: on with the Riyadh mess.
- 1:31:44Speaker 3: I have not, no.
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: Their airport got hit with a drone strike from, I
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: don't know, from Yemen or from the Yemen war or what.
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: They've got like, they had 13 people dead and like 300.
- 1:31:57Speaker 3: Dang.
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: And this is... Canelo fights there in two weeks. And,
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: you know, the U.S. travel advisory has already said, hey,
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: we recommend you not going over there. Mexico has now advised,
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: we recommend our citizens not travel over there. And Turkey Al-Sheikh,
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: the guy who's funding it, he's saying, he put out
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: a statement, I believe, on Sunday or Saturday saying, I
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: just spoke to Canelo. He has no reservations about fighting here.
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: In Saudi, the show will go on despite what everybody thinks.
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: So right after, a week after that, the WWE is
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: supposed to have a pay-per-view there. They've already moved it.
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: As of today, they moved it. They said, we will
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: not be doing it in Riyadh. We're going to move
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: it somewhere else.
- 1:32:48Speaker 3: I mean, it's two weeks away, right?
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: It's two weeks away, dude.
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: Oh, shit.
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: The airport just got bombed.
- 1:32:55Speaker 3: Man, where the fuck are you going to land? Private
- 1:32:57Speaker 3: airports like the rich?
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: So the thing that everybody's saying is that this is
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: basically a game of chicken to see who cancels first.
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: Because if Canelo pulls out, it's basically they don't pay
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: him the money. The Saudis don't pay him the $ 40 million,
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: $ 50 million, whatever. I've even heard that it might be
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: $ 80 million that they're paying him for this fight. So
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: everybody's saying that they're thinking that's the case, that he's
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: not pulling out because if he does... They don't have
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: to pay him. But if they cancel it or move it,
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: they got to pay him his money.
- 1:33:35Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, I guess that's interesting right there.
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's a mess, dude. I'm like, every day
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: when you hear something going, man, like a hotel was
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: struck too. I'm like, what the fuck's going on over there?
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: How are they going to have this big abandoned fight?
- 1:33:50Speaker 3: Exactly. I mean, you're just going to have the fucking
- 1:33:52Speaker 3: rich guys just there? The people that already live there
- 1:33:54Speaker 3: and they're like, that's everything?
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: Well, at the very beginning, those fights with Fury and Usyk,
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: it was just Saudi princes there.
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: It was a bunch of Saudi princes just sitting up front.
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: You couldn't tell who was who because they all dressed
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: the same.
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: Yeah. Shit. I don't know, man. What do you think?
- 1:34:09Speaker 3: You think they'll move it?
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: Dude, I.
- 1:34:12Speaker 3: Who folds first?
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: That's the thing. Who folds first? And, you know, I
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: know it's money to Canelo, but, you know.
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: If he were.
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: But he made so much money already. If he were
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: to come out and say, hey, Yeah, it's just not
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: worth my Mexicano fans to travel over there. If he
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: were to come out, he would be a hero. Because
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: I'm telling you, there's Mexicano fans who are upset that
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: he's fighting over there. He should not be fighting over there.
- 1:34:37Speaker 3: They were upset also about during the World Cup or
- 1:34:40Speaker 3: something with him. I forgot exactly what was going on,
- 1:34:42Speaker 3: but they had the fans kind of like, what are
- 1:34:45Speaker 3: you doing? I forgot what that was.
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: Well, he was the ambassador. He was always there. They
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: were putting him on the mic during halftimes and stuff.
- 1:34:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: I mean, he's all Mexicano, man. He's a proud patriot. Yeah.
- 1:35:00Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, I guess.
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: He's the face of Mexico.
- 1:35:02Speaker 3: It all comes down.
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: In sports.
- 1:35:04Speaker 3: It all comes down to see who pulls out first.
- 1:35:07Speaker 3: Who falls.
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: Who pulls out first, man.
- 1:35:10Speaker 3: We'll see. I did want to get... Real quick. Ronald
- 1:35:15Speaker 3: Acuna signed with Kalshi? Kalshi?
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: That, to me, is crazy because... They've been since the
- 1:35:30Speaker 3: Black Sox scandal back in the 1910s or whatever it was.
- 1:35:35Speaker 3: Back to Pete Rose. And now you got these guys
- 1:35:39Speaker 3: signing contracts.
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: Signing contracts, dude.
- 1:35:42Speaker 3: And they play like, oh, it's not a gambling. You're
- 1:35:45Speaker 3: playing against other people. But it's still, in a way.
- 1:35:52Speaker 3: It's still gambling in a way. Now you got these
- 1:35:55Speaker 3: motherfuckers signing with gambling sites and all that. Pete Rose
- 1:35:58Speaker 3: did not die for that shit.
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: Yeah, Jake Paul owns that better, and he had a commercial,
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: and there was a bunch of guys, a bunch of
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: basketball stars, a bunch of football stars on it.
- 1:36:13Speaker 3: Where are we heading now? Are we heading back to that,
- 1:36:15Speaker 3: like now players throwing the game? I don't know, dude.
- 1:36:21Speaker 3: I mean, we already have, even though, like, these players
- 1:36:24Speaker 3: are not, you know, they're not involved with any of
- 1:36:27Speaker 3: the gambling. I mean, we assume that, that they get
- 1:36:30Speaker 3: debt threats for losing a game like that, kicker missing
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: a field goal at the end of the game. You know,
- 1:36:35Speaker 3: somebody striking out in the night with the bases loaded,
- 1:36:37Speaker 3: that kind of shit. And now you're giving them the
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: powers to say, oh, well.
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: And didn't they just come out like a joint statement
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: of all the athletes of all the leagues saying that, hey,
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: we need to tone down this gambling?
- 1:36:49Speaker 3: That's about as hypocritical as the NFL fining with the
- 1:36:52Speaker 3: original fines to Ferguson and uh the beer juice check
- 1:36:57Speaker 3: with the beer thing when after after that after that
- 1:37:00Speaker 3: touch i happened the next commercial is butt light or
- 1:37:02Speaker 3: middle of the light like what are you doing you're
- 1:37:05Speaker 3: you're a bunch of hypocrites and now you kept pete
- 1:37:08Speaker 3: rose out of the out of the hall of fame
- 1:37:10Speaker 3: because of the gambling situation when he was even better
- 1:37:12Speaker 3: on his team and now you're like oh yeah roland
- 1:37:15Speaker 3: lacuna come on sign in with this and we're good
- 1:37:17Speaker 3: with that yeah.
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: It's an insane world we live in. And that's why
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: I said, go back to Dumont, what he said, that
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: he didn't realize that it was going to be this
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: slow trying to get the gambling laws to change here
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: in Texas and the Bible thumping country. He was like, yeah,
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: we give these guys money. The Adelsons give these guys money. Well,
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: those guys are like, yeah, but my constituency doesn't want
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: to do it.
- 1:37:46Speaker 3: It's a sin.
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: It's a sin. It's a sin. That's the way they
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: say it.
- 1:37:51Speaker 3: Hypocrisy.
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: Yeah. Hypocrisy. That'll do it for us for episode five.
