- 0:27You frank me down? Do? Comes comes to pet, it comes
- 0:32to Mark? Is it just doing? I'm gonna do it again. I'm
- 0:39gonna go on the way you began. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. Let
- 0:46me listening to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports Shock Wayne Candy.
- 0:50Good morning to you out there and listening land. We are winding down the
- 0:56month of February twenty twenty four, last Monday, we're running into leap Year.
- 1:07Now. I'm an honest man, I don't really know how leap year
- 1:14originated. So without googling it, maybe you out there, No, Big
- 1:23Kenny will theorize and be wrong. Command Gie Greg will sneak and google,
- 1:34and then he has that cunning ability to be able to sell it as though
- 1:40he already knew. But the Sports Shock is just gonna be honest with you.
- 1:46I don't really think about it much, but for you to haven't paying
- 1:51attention this year. February comes with an extra day, so and I guess
- 1:56those people celebrate their birthdays every four years, is how leapyear works, if
- 2:02I remember correctly. So you know some people are just turning ten, but
- 2:10they're forty, right, you know something some system like that that's like,
- 2:15it's we're coming up with Tyrese Halliburton a lot because he was born in a
- 2:20leap year. So he's really five. Okay, okay, okay, okay,
- 2:24he's five, got you? So he shouldn't be driving or drinking?
- 2:29Right? Oh okay? And something tells me he's doing both of those right.
- 2:34I could have sworn him in the red light the other day in a
- 2:36lambo we might need to exist, said actually said it on the tag,
- 2:40right, Tyrese Hallenburg written out his tag got got. But the month of
- 2:50February winding out Black History Month, a lot going on. Uh sports Shock
- 2:54had a funeral too of ten to two this weekend, driving back from Florida,
- 3:00was in that spring training traffic down in that Orlando corridor of I four
- 3:07light. Nice long drive back ran into the traffic here for Atlanta Motor Speedway
- 3:14with the race yesterday kind of drifting off my partner. He was in and
- 3:21out of sleep most of the ride from the long night he had of drinking
- 3:25and debauchery. So his co host his his his co pilot skills, skills
- 3:32were down yesterday. But I expected it wasn't you know, you know your
- 3:37personnel. It wasn't selling selling burger. You know your personality, you do
- 3:42you know what a certain person STEFPHF going to figure out how to get to
- 3:46the three point line. That's that's not questionable certain co pilots, you know,
- 3:51you piloted by yourself basically. But you know, I was getting a
- 3:53little early morning kind of that weave where you start, you know it in
- 4:00the window for you that's ever driven, trying to catch some of that cool
- 4:04cold win on your face. And then I was blessed with a text,
- 4:15just blessed you know house. You know they say, you know, God
- 4:17comes on time. I know we don't know what y'all celebrate out there in
- 4:23the TP, but yeah, I got a text that gave me that energy,
- 4:33yes for the last three hours, and it was provided by mister war
- 4:41Ego himself, Cameron Newton. No, what woke me right up? Let
- 4:48me read it. I've been trying to do his voice. Hey, good
- 5:00morning. No it wasn't him, it was someone sent me the video of
- 5:05him fighting and that up Cam Newton like strapping, yeah, in a brawl
- 5:15at a seven on seven tournament here in the Atlanta area recently recently. Yeah,
- 5:21I'm saying it was just like yesterday, yesterday, yesterday, I'm talking
- 5:28about he was in the witch hat and everything. Well, he well he
- 5:39has the locks pulled through the hat. For those that don't know, he
- 5:44has like a couple of holes where he pulls the locks through the hat.
- 5:47Uh So the hat did stay on different camera angles or recorded you see on
- 5:54social media. We don't really know the breakdown of how some reports seem like
- 6:01in some angles looked like Cam got attacked. Some articles of writing that Cam
- 6:08was trying to break up a fight, but he was in the melee.
- 6:13He was holding his own showing flashes of John Wick. For you out there
- 6:18that don't know, Cam Newton is a big man. He stands about six
- 6:27' five two fifty five to six kind of cut up too, so whatever
- 6:33your sensibilities of thinking, because he wears floral onesie vasace short sleeve shorts on
- 6:45club, you know, because you know, sometimes you see that on a
- 6:48guy and you be thinking, oh, I can try him. Oh and
- 6:51now does that's not right? Comanche? He has wear he's wearing suspenders with
- 7:03no shirt, and he's barefoot, and he's in Whole Foods like way in
- 7:08the back, I'm a jumping I just that's me. And and then you
- 7:13find out that he's a four hundred pounds venture Yeah, yeah, and now
- 7:16I'm like brand. But Cam Newton in a in a little swabble they have
- 7:25they have it listed as Cam fights all three cowardly attackers. Well, it's
- 7:30written in a different a lot of different ways. Cam, I'm quite sure
- 7:34whatever his next he has a podcast or his nets, visit the club,
- 7:40Chasha, he will explain what happened. Uh. But you know, in
- 7:44these situations, I think sometimes Cam Newton's vibe fine kind of invites people to
- 7:56maybe think you can kind of step to him in that way. Some people's
- 8:03vibe, some people's vibe make you feel like you stay out the way,
- 8:07right. Some people, you know, Mike Tyson walked through the room,
- 8:11don't look like a good option, right. But some people give off that
- 8:16vibe like they're gonna be you can try them, they're gonna fight back.
- 8:24Kevin Durant. You see a lot of the same guys where the fans can
- 8:28antagonize them to get them and and it's some people that's just their nature.
- 8:33It's not necessarily one of those things like oh they they just it's a trigger
- 8:39to them. You can say that same thing the Kawhi Leonard, he doesn't
- 8:43even turn his head. He just stay him. Tim Duncan them guys just
- 8:48stay this way? You say certain things to somebody like a Russell Westbrook,
- 8:54Kevin Durant, it seems to send them right to get him out of here
- 9:00on a stage. So Pam gives that vibe of you can come over and
- 9:05talk to him in any kind of way. It was interesting in watching the
- 9:09video from the Ankles that I saw there was obviously a fight going on,
- 9:16and then when the police showed up, they just sort of calmed them down,
- 9:20like had it been a different athlete a Steph Curry, and you're putting
- 9:24a two piece on him, handcuffs coming out, people getting slammed to the
- 9:28ground. This is an NBA emergency, you know what I mean. Cam,
- 9:35They just kind of all right, guys, Calm down, Calm now.
- 9:37Your reputation precedes you. Yeah. Yeah, the cops can come,
- 9:41the law enforcement, security can come and have in their mind maybe you did
- 9:46start it. Yeah, you probably did. But you know a Stephen Jackson,
- 9:52remember Steven Jackson in the NBA, He always gave that vibe that he
- 9:56might have thrown the first punch. Matt Barne, we talked about him last
- 10:01week being thrown out of the off the broadcast because of an incident he had
- 10:05at a high school he has. He seems to be one of those trigger
- 10:07guys that he might be okay saying something to you, but if you say
- 10:13something back, now, we got to take it to the next level.
- 10:16And you know, once you become part of that usual suspect, as you're
- 10:22saying, Big Kenny, some people who really can protect themselves security covers because
- 10:28their whole reputation comes off as though they can't. But then the guys that
- 10:33come off where they'd love to run their miles. You know, I would
- 10:37protect command, see commandchie greg I would maybe put the handcuffs on you,
- 10:43big Kenny, because obviously you I don't know, you'd be like we go
- 10:48back and exactly exactly. That's why you got the cups make decade. You
- 10:56punched that eight year old, didn't you define punch? I'm saying now I
- 11:03would think like mister big Ny punched me first. I'm saying mister mc n
- 11:09would not like I drew back and like playing at my lead foot of nothing.
- 11:15It was like a little jazz. So Cam Newton waking me up on
- 11:18my drive back gave us something to start off the show with. We will
- 11:22let this breathe a little bit because, as we're saying, there's different reports
- 11:26from some angles that looked like Cam was doing what like kind of being the
- 11:30referee. And then sometimes that does That's why some people don't break up fights
- 11:35because you get pulled in you Sometimes they don't let you be Switzerland, where
- 11:39you just get in there and spread your hands and let's stop this tomfoolery.
- 11:46Sometimes you will get the spicy two piece and then you now you want to
- 11:50be Russian. But we got a great show for you today. We're gonna
- 11:56talk about the No Bulls Tour once again. Scottie Pippen and his teammates can't
- 12:01live. Cherish Wright says that he was assaulted in high school airby Enemy out
- 12:07at U c l A. Donald Trump. We rarely talk about Donald Trump,
- 12:13but he got some four hundred dollars sneakers the DT. These the ones
- 12:18I'm wearing masks are the orange. We'll talk about that and much more.
- 12:22Donald Trump selling sneakers at eighty. I haven't seen eighty old sales sneakers.
- 12:26We'll be back right after this with more than Sports Jock Show a shot come

- 15:26dot com The leek you deserve at a price you can afford. No,
- 15:30no, no, no, Now it's time to present the Jock of the
- 15:33Day on the Sports Jock Shows. Taken it to a completely different level this
- 15:37year where we highlight an accolade that has taken their game to the next level.
- 16:06What right to this boy? Shock? Shock? I'm this one?
- 16:07Shock? Wayne can't it big Kenny's in the building. Command you, Greg
- 16:11is in the building. The bad producer is out. You know his boy
- 16:17Cam Newton, He's probably somewhere was making some picket signs. Free Cam,
- 16:22Free Cam Newton. That's his boy. Cam could could be actually guilty of
- 16:30slapping some eight year olds and the bad producer with fine reason we see man
- 16:34sometimes you know how eight year olds? Have you ever been around some eight
- 16:41year old and you know how they can a lot of hiring and firing going
- 16:48around NFL and college football after the season was over. Interesting that Eric by
- 16:56Enemy who was at the Washington Commander's and I's just start right here because when
- 17:00I read stories, I always like to throw out to people just something that
- 17:03it seems like they bypass. And a lot of people are very interested in
- 17:07why Eric b Enemy, who won championships with the Chiefs. A lot of
- 17:15people thought that he would instantly become a head coach. He became the offensive
- 17:21coordinator for the Washington Commanders last year. But I see a lot of articles,
- 17:26read a lot of different clips of people questioning why he now will become
- 17:30the UCLA offensive coordinator and not a college head coach or a NFL head coach,
- 17:40and all I could say because I don't know Eric B Enemy, but
- 17:45maybe it's not the program, college program. Maybe it's not the NFL teams.
- 17:53Maybe it's just Eric B Enemy. Maybe the powers that be when they
- 18:02interview him. I don't know the man. I do know there was it
- 18:06didn't seem like he had the leadership hat on in Kansas City. I do
- 18:11know last year with the Commanders there was a couple of articles where it seemed
- 18:15like the offensive players on an average team didn't seem to align with how he
- 18:22wanted them to perform or practice or whatever. It was some friction, but
- 18:29it can be sometimes Big Kenny, maybe Greg that you know what, when
- 18:34we bring you in, you just don't win us over interview, Well,
- 18:40you just don't interview. How you doing not a thing? Yes, Hey,
- 18:42you're doing this morning? Eric? Can we call you Eric? No?
- 18:45Okay? Well how are things going? You called me? All right?
- 18:56Thanks very much? And most likely and I'm I'm not saying that maybe,
- 19:03but sometimes you have to start thinking why because you want to put it
- 19:07on. We'll put it on everything from raised to economics to somebody else's bad
- 19:15mouthing. We'll find other reasons other than maybe Eric, when he takes these
- 19:22interviews he might not interview well, or maybe he thinks he should have more
- 19:26authority then a team might be willing to give his right. What is a
- 19:34writer? Yes, when artists form and stuff or what listen the things that
- 19:41they want in the back right, Maybe his writer is just too long.
- 19:47Like we were cool with the first seven things. Yeah, he had the
- 19:49command just like I want some Kansas City chiefs colored eminems. And I don't
- 19:57know, we will see. He might just be a great offensive coordinator and
- 20:04don't have that. And I'm quite sure other people throughout coaching, you see
- 20:10some guys that seem like they just stayed as career assistance and you wonder why,
- 20:18And it could either they chose to stay there. I don't think Eric
- 20:22is necessarily choosing as much as what people might be looking for in a head
- 20:30guy. He's too full of himself. And that's what I'm saying. It
- 20:34might not be an economic thing. It might be the other things that he
- 20:41acting like he's already won. He's coming in here like he's Bill Belichick,
- 20:47Phil Jackson kind of. I'm trying to know Eric, give us a minute.
- 20:53Let us talk and then we'll get right back with you. Hey,
- 20:56I don't think we should do it automatically. Look, man, this dude's
- 21:00off the rails. Let's not. I don't know that's making my offensive coordinator
- 21:04or something. I don't think we can do head coach. I just saw
- 21:07that, and I kept seeing people and I'm like, well, put that
- 21:11on your list too now as possibilities that it is not the NFL teams,
- 21:17it's not the CoP's Maybe he his personality doesn't make people want to push in
- 21:23on that. Eric, how does being head coach sound like three hundred and
- 21:27fifty five million dollars a year? That's how it sound to Eric? You
- 21:30had what were you about to say this? Starting about yesterday? That is,
- 21:34as he chose not to stay with the Commanders for that to have been
- 21:42out for a week or however long ago that the Commanders hired Dan Quinn.
- 21:48I mean, normally I would see that when a team brings in a new
- 21:52head coach, they want their own staff like coordinators, no matter how good
- 21:56or bad they are are staying on. He's going to bring in his own
- 22:00guys. So maybe that's a saving face kind of statement, but it's hard
- 22:07to It has been hard to tell, like what what has it been about
- 22:11him that he hasn't been hired. I've heard that he doesn't interview well,
- 22:17or that he coaches the players too hard and he's too mean to them or
- 22:19something like that. So it's still a mystery because we don't know what it
- 22:26is. Like we feel like he has the resume to be a head coach
- 22:32or at least to get an opportunity and just hasn't happened. And also I
- 22:36don't know. That's why I say I don't know, Eric, I do
- 22:37know. Not only are you interviewing for the job for who and what you
- 22:42have done. Remember, especially in football, you are being hired for who
- 22:51you can get to come coach with you as well. You have to give
- 22:56this team kind of an idea of who you have as a because you have
- 23:03to create your own staff a lot of times, unless you go to places
- 23:07like there's a couple of maybe like Dallas is famously the Raiders Back in the
- 23:11day under Al Davis, it was more you just come be the head coach.
- 23:18I hire the rest of the coaches, but most as commanding. Craig
- 23:22is alluding to you kind of Okay, if hypothetically we give you the job,
- 23:27well who you got kind of in line for your coordinators? If running
- 23:34back coach things like that, it's gonna be me Ghana. So that's all.
- 23:41I just wanted to touch on that early on in the show because I
- 23:45think Eric has been given some opportunities. Colorado wanted him to come a couple
- 23:51of years ago to be the head coach they did, and he passed on
- 23:55it to stay in the NFL, thinking he was going to go to something
- 23:56else. So don't don't just slap it on. There hasn't been any opportunity.
- 24:02It could be something he has walked by. And I didn't even know
- 24:06that Comanche, the part that you said that it's kind of been out there
- 24:10that he's a bad interviewer until you just said I didn't know that was even
- 24:14in the in the wing. I've heard that a few times, but I
- 24:17don't know how true that it is. Just it just seemed like something someone
- 24:19says, but then no one like ads can verify or bay back up.
- 24:26I can see that we'll be back with more of the Sports Jock Show right
- 24:29after this. You don't want to and him down, and you don't want
- 24:36to pay them my hand. Jn't go away. More of the Sports John
- 24:42Show with Wayne Dandy is coming up next. Attention homeowners, Now is the

- 28:38I don't know what you're playing in they face, you know? And
- 28:42this is why I remember a couple of shows maybe late last year. I
- 28:47was like, you know what, we got to apologize because we'll just make
- 28:52up a college. We'll be like, oh, yeah, Michigan was playing
- 28:55so and so and so and so and so and so. Yeah, And
- 28:57now I'm starting to find out some of these places might exist. We haven't
- 29:04been giving them credit. They got a whole they got a mascot and everything,
- 29:08the University of Antelope Valley University, and that's what stood out. I
- 29:14have to help them out by mentioning them because I know whoever is listening,
- 29:19and the three guys on this panel all be lyne if they say they ever
- 29:23have heard of this university. But the coach is trying to get some money.

- 30:12be canceled without outside help. So just for you people that have a couple
- 30:18of dollars rallying in you. I would send it, but I don't have
- 30:22a GoFundMe page. I send it to them. I'm so so glad I
- 30:27turned down that scholarship offer a University of Analoe Valley because they recruited me.
- 30:33You know, they saw the skills and they was like, hey, man,
- 30:37you want to And I was like, is that a real thing?
- 30:40University of a valley And they were like, yeah, it's the school.
- 30:42I'm like, no, it's not. But we are running into that now.
- 30:45This is like the third time in the calendar year we've come up with
- 30:49some schools that we really that's kind of oh Michigan blew out University of Antelope
- 30:56Valley and thinking that is a mythical school, just stowing it out there and
- 31:02it actually exists. Wait, well, I'm saying just because they showed up,
- 31:07don't really mean they're actually a school. How do you quality uniforms?
- 31:11Uniforms? And that a school? Seal Bishop Sycamore, Sycamore, I don't
- 31:18know if they had to seal allowed know what kind of animal they They didn't
- 31:22have a building, but in a little valley got a build. They have
- 31:25a building, but it's close. They're they're closing now. But it didn't
- 31:29exist. They did have one. It did exist, Dick Kenny, Bishop
- 31:33Sycamore did exist. Okay, all I'm saying. All I'm saying is you
- 31:41think that it would there would be a few more details ironed out before you
- 31:47open up a full whole university. Storming the court is come back in the
- 31:53picture. Over the last decade, colleges have tried to do their best to
- 32:01bring down sanctions and rules to minimize these moments. We've seen just as recently
- 32:09as last week when the LSU basketball team beat Alabama, they stormed. They
- 32:19were in Botton Rouge, they stormed the court. I want to say sec
- 32:23finding like one hundred thousand dollars for that infraction. The school gets penalized when
- 32:31the students rush the field or the court. A lot of this started back
- 32:37for football when the people started pulling down the goal post. They were just
- 32:45hang and yank on it, and it started becoming a fear that the goal
- 32:50post would fall things like that and hit people, fall on people. I
- 32:54think they even started and created the breakaway goal post or something where it was
- 33:00just and they pulled the pin it would fall easier. But this week wake
- 33:05Forest defeating Duke, and the wake Forest crowd running onto the court. One
- 33:13of the Duke star players, Philipowski, Kyle Philipowski, got caught in the
- 33:22traffic of the students and looks like the seven footer twisted his ankle. And
- 33:30this has brought this back to the acc the NCAA on how to handle this
- 33:38situation. Now, I've always felt like you threatening the school has nothing to
- 33:49do with the student. The student is not going to be oh man,
- 33:54they find our school one hundred grand students don't things happening to me? Why
- 34:01would I You know, you're thinking, oh no, you don't want to
- 34:05cost your college one hundred thousand dollars. I've been to front party bragging.
- 34:09It was me that costs the school one hundred thousand dollars. So in this
- 34:15situation, I would imagine that all you can do. You're not going to
- 34:21command you, greg, You're not going to put, like in hockey,
- 34:24some clear panels around the field, and all you could do is put I
- 34:30guess more security officers or some kind of way bracket the stands so that you
- 34:42can't just come down. But then you can't sell those high priced tickets.
- 34:46But the floor, how do you how do you stop the fans? Well,
- 34:51and I'm asking, if you really want to stop the fans, what
- 34:55is the problem with clear glass around the court or the field. They do
- 35:04it in hockey and they say it's to protect Well, well, that's just
- 35:07because the speed of the skating in the puck. Yeah, I know,
- 35:13if you hit the pucket to come off and hit the crowd, yeah I
- 35:16know. And and that will cost money. So that's gonna know, that's
- 35:21gonna cause injury. Yeah, maybe some life that hit somebody right, which
- 35:25which eventually costs money. And that's what. Now. I don't know what
- 35:30this gentleman's condition is today, but in watching the video, he looked not
- 35:36only to have twisted his ankle, but uh, someone kind of shouldered or
- 35:42elbowed him in the head. And if he's injured, if he's out for
- 35:47a season, if he's out for a game, that that's significant in sports.
- 35:52And if you really wanted to stop them, you would have something in
- 35:55place that completely prevented it. I don't think that adding seven or eight more
- 36:01officers is going to help. We're talking about tens of thousands of people rushing
- 36:07forward at one time. And the truth of the matter is it's legendary in
- 36:14sports programs that time we beat them and we rushed the field or we rush
- 36:20the court. So I don't think it'll ever stop. I just hope he
- 36:22gets better. Commagine what you got for a deterrent. There wouldn't need to
- 36:29be more security. You see with at least on the pro level, when
- 36:36there's a championship, they rope off the rope off the court and add security.
- 36:43I know that would they're going to look at that as well, that
- 36:45costs more money or you know, they don't have the manpower for that kind
- 36:50of thing on the college campus, but it would take something to that effect,
- 36:57or have security, like help the posing team off the courts as quickly
- 37:01as possible to protect them, because it's I think with them storming the court,
- 37:12then the players can't just like comfortably walk off the court. It's like
- 37:15they have to run off and I think if there was some protection in that
- 37:20regard that might help. Well. It'll be interesting to see how they can
- 37:23address it. I don't think money or increasing the find ever was the the
- 37:30solve, unless it was one of those things if we catch you on camera
- 37:35on the court and you attend wake Force, we're going to find you.
- 37:42It would have to be something like that, but it can't be one of
- 37:45those things where we're to find on the court, you know what I mean.
- 37:50Find Now, I wasn't the first person on the court, but hopefully
- 37:54kle will be okay for Duke and maybe it just a quick strain and it's
- 38:02nothing you can do because somebody has to be on the court, right,
- 38:06So one of those things, well, oh we'll put our start, but
- 38:08you still have to have until the buzzer rings. You have to have five
- 38:14people on the court, and the second it rings, they rush. So
- 38:16there's no all right, let us go stand over here, all right,
- 38:21zero go. It's it's almost inevitable. But that is the situation with wake
- 38:29Forward and Duke after that game, and we've seen it and it's I think
- 38:32it. It's easier to get football players off because of the padding and the
- 38:38helmet and there's typically a distance that you got to cover in football basketball you
- 38:46are really about five steps from hitting somebody on a on a basketball court.
- 38:53When we come back, though, we'll talk about the Pelicans trolling Stephen A.
- 38:58Smith. Donald Trump still got to talk about those four hundred dollars sneakers
- 39:02and KD getting a fan escorted out before the game. Oh like a date.
- 39:09We'll be back with more to Sports Jock Show right after this John Bowl
- 39:27Wayne. More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Dandidias coming up next.

- 42:17Atlanta star Tray Young tear in his finger, had finger surgery tear a ligament
- 42:25tear in his finger. He is expected to be out four weeks. The
- 42:31Hawks did when last night beating the Orlando Magic without Tray Young, but four
- 42:40weeks. Basically, the season is only about seven regular season. That's about
- 42:47seven weeks left, six weeks, kind of like that second week of April
- 42:53regular season end. So we're talking about whatever push the Hawks were going to
- 42:59make his to be tough without Trey Young, and we'll put them in that
- 43:04situation where when he does get back, they might have eight ten games where
- 43:10he can play. So let's see how that works without the star player of
- 43:15the Atlanta Hawks. We talked about the Phoenix Sun star Kevin Durant had a
- 43:21pre game exchange with two fans a couple of days ago when they were getting
- 43:27ready to play the Mavericks. As he came out for pre games, some
- 43:30choice words by some fans that were already in the arena, calling k D
- 43:38a choice word that he didn't like. He went back and talked to the
- 43:45fans, command you, Greg informed is doing the break, that KD as
- 43:50security and not to kick them out. And it could have been. Once
- 43:57he got over there, he saw that they were just genuine Maverick fans that
- 44:04were drunk. When I call it necessarily some kind of uh, the B
- 44:12word, the B word basketball player, Yeah, something like that. Hey
- 44:17KD, Katy KD. His name's not Katie, it's k D oh KD.
- 44:27Yeah, he could have got That's what I'm saying. It seems like
- 44:29because the picture I saw they both were holding twenty they steal drinking and hey,
- 44:35bro, listen, let me little something. Bro yep by crossover.
- 44:39I know you're a NBA I know, but my crossoverer. You asked somebody
- 44:45about it, and if they were sober and he ran over there, he
- 44:49probably asked them get him out of here. But they had on Maverick's jerseys,
- 44:52they had the twenty ounce beer in their hand, the faces were already
- 44:58flush red, and it looks like he just took all that into account like
- 45:02a good judge should and gave him a pass. I've always thought that way.
- 45:08You see me drunk, just let it slide. I've always felt that
- 45:14way. But you know, KD. He's a pioneer. He might not
- 45:19be much of a leader with his teammates in the locker room, but he's
- 45:22a pioneer in justice, I tell you that. So that is KD and
- 45:29dealing with the fans, and we've seen him this year years past. As
- 45:32we talked about early in the show, with someone like a KD, it
- 45:36seems to be a lot of times the usual suspects of that. In the
- 45:40NBA, it's the same three or four guys, which is usually Russell Westbrook,
- 45:47Kevin Durant, Chris Paul. He can be that way that the fan
- 45:54seems like they know they can push that anyone I'm missing. Lebron has his
- 46:00come and go. Some days he you know, whatever, your mama,
- 46:06But and then some days he's stop it, stop saying those things. They're
- 46:10hurtful. So I think sometimes that fans, knowing they can get you,
- 46:19go out of their way to get there early, just because you know,
- 46:22as soon as KD come by me, I'm gonna just say the B word,
- 46:25whatever the B word is that they have insulted him with last time,
- 46:29and that's going to if that only, if that keeps him from scoring four
- 46:34points out of the night, then I've done my job. I'll go viral.
- 46:38Then the camera will flash to me and he'll take the bait. It's
- 46:45like, like you said, usual suspects. We can do something to him,
- 46:49and he's nine out of ten times gonna take the bait. Yeah,
- 46:52you recognize those guys. Yeah, And it happens even in the world of
- 46:57the players, right a certain guy, you know, you can go out,
- 47:00you can get them caught up into conversation, you can get them talk
- 47:05caught up into and try to get that as a distraction. Some guys you
- 47:09can say that same stuff. They don't give you any recognition that you're even
- 47:14talking to them. They end up being like Robert Downey Jr. In Traffic
- 47:19Thunder you talking you well, I was just talking to whoever was listening.
- 47:25So that is KD in that incident right there where we're gonna move to.
- 47:32Now come cheek, Greg, I wanted to ask you do you think that
- 47:37do you think they should be policing trash talk? Didn't Nobody throw nothing to
- 47:42KD. Didn't nobody try and trip him, and nobody violate their seat space.
- 47:46I mean, we paid for these seats. We got the twenty ounce
- 47:50beers. You keep selling them. I'm gonna keep drinking them. And I'm
- 47:52talking trash. It's sports. Hey you're slow, Hey, you you're ugly.
- 48:00You know you know, and and and maybe I say a word that
- 48:02offends you, but it's trash talk. And now you can actually go get
- 48:07somebody to say, hey, man, I didn't like what he said.
- 48:10It's not like I didn't like what he did. He endangered us on the
- 48:15field of play. I don't like what he's saying, and he should be
- 48:21removed or she should be removed from this venue. The new athlete is hyper
- 48:30sensitive? Is that politically correct for soft? So they Yes, you can't
- 48:36say soft anymore because that's insulting. Bully and how you have to say it?
- 48:40You have hyper sensitive? Yes, bullying, that's bullying. Yes,
- 48:46that's bullying. So can I can I say? Can I say warm butter?
- 48:52Can I say warm butter? The modern athlete is warm butter? That
- 48:57sounds kind of nice. No, they're gonna in some kind of way that
- 49:01that's probably slang for saying it's for soft. But you said I couldn't say
- 49:09soft, So I'm going to say hyperitive, hyper sensitive. Well no hyper
- 49:15clinical, yes yet than if it's slang hyper soft. No, you can't
- 49:21use the word soft at all. I'm saying sensitive sounds like too much light
- 49:25gives me a headache. If you touch my skin with We'll be back with

- 52:37Caitlyn Clark of Iowa triple double yesterday, only scoring twenty four points with
- 52:45the triple double, fifteen rebounds, ten assists, just still doing her things.
- 52:52She's been kind of off her last two games, only scoring twenty four
- 52:55points in each of those contests. So slowing down here, and what's going
- 53:01on with Caitlyn with only her twenty's. It's some teams don't score twenty four.
- 53:07There are some teams that, like the University of the Valley, where's
- 53:12that we're university, They can't even get a squad on the court. And
- 53:17this woman shooting twenty four points by herself, and that's an off night.
- 53:22The pressure getting to it, you know, I know, I know it's
- 53:23hard. It's hard being twenty four points, fifteen rebounds, ten assists,
- 53:28you know, pressing getting to it. Let me I heard a statistic the
- 53:34John T. Murray for the Hawks. They shouted him out on another show
- 53:38this morning because he almost got a tripling. What have you had? One
- 53:45more assists? It's been a triple double. But he was close, and
- 53:50so that's how difficult that is. They're giving people props for getting close to
- 53:55doing it. Clark is close to passing Pistol Pepe where she would be just
- 54:00the number one score in college basketball completely. I think she might be thirty
- 54:08five points away from passing Kansas Lynette Woodard. We talked about that last week
- 54:15for the sensibilities of the bad producer who wanted to try not to give Caitlyn
- 54:23Clark her flowers by saying the NC double A and NC double A hasn't done
- 54:30anything. And people that keep reading writing those papers, that's what people do.
- 54:35They start counting things from when they take over something. That's what they're
- 54:40responsible for. If I take over Coca Cola today, I'm responsible for what
- 54:46Coca Cola does from today forward until you fire me, not for what they
- 54:52did yesterday. Y'all remember when we read it three now that wasn't you know
- 55:00I'm saying, but I'm here now, and so I'm kind of it's kind
- 55:01of like I did it. And that's what I Oh. The NCAA trying
- 55:06to know, they're not suppressing anything. They're saying when they started counting,
- 55:10right, this is how it worked. Isn't that just how? That's the
- 55:16most reasonable thing. When I got there, it was this way, and
- 55:23these are the improvements I made. I can't take credit for the improvements before
- 55:28me. I can't add that on. No, I didn't put the coffee
- 55:32maker in. That was put in two years before me. Why is that
- 55:36in your report? Like you the one put the coffee maker in. You
- 55:38didn't even have the job then, So we thought that why not diet coke?
- 55:47They do that with with college football stats, where it used to be
- 55:52the bull games don't those stats don't count, and now that and now they
- 55:58do so hypersensitive with like Barry Sanders that one year he would have had like
- 56:05three thousand yards rushing and in twelve games and it would have completely out of
- 56:08reach, but that bowl game didn't count. But now that bowl game and
- 56:14conference championships that does. It's just how they changed it correct, And it's
- 56:17one of the reasons why I tell you have to comparison is the wrong way
- 56:24to prove that someone is better or worse if they're not in the same era,
- 56:37right because everything once that era has passed and the rules have changed.
- 56:44Right. So a receiver in the sixties and the seventies, well, the
- 56:51defender could grab and hit and different. You know, the dB didn't have
- 56:57all these these rules, so he only got forty catches, but he had
- 57:02to work through nine people to catch the ball. Nowadays, one little bump
- 57:07is past in appearance, so you played different. So that's why I say,
- 57:12you know, that's what you can't compare Lebron and Jordan in a real
- 57:16way because they never played at the same time and the league changed, so
- 57:25you can hold it to a certainness like that. Some people they didn't have
- 57:29the three point shot, right, so they had to get their points a
- 57:34different way. So it's just a thing with Caitlyn Clark, she's about the
- 57:38pass and that woodard that doesn't dominions the net wood. She is just as
- 57:43great as she was because then you know, if I'm in that era I
- 57:49might sailor net woodard. Why well, she playing in arenas that didn't have
- 57:53air conditioner or lights or you know, only one light bulb play in the
- 58:00afternoon, or hyper sectivity playing the afternoon. Because by about four point thirty,
- 58:05so exactly, there's all kind of different ways of advantages of she had
- 58:10vice versa of each other. You know, Lynette wouldn't have been on TV
- 58:15to maybe have the whole world looking at her like Caitlin, right, their
- 58:20girls team had to work the concession stand exactly. So, but she's about
- 58:25thirty three thirty five points from passing her, which would be all times regardless
- 58:31of women, and then about sixty eighty points. But piece to Peek did
- 58:36whatever he did in so many fewer games that it almost like it looks fake.
- 58:46He did it in three years. Yeah, forty five, Yeah,
- 58:50it was a whole nother kind of he didn't like fifty less game. It
- 58:53was something stat where I was like, well, maybe I need to refresh
- 58:55the button because I know that it can't be the actual that Now, like
- 59:00Commander Greg, you're saying that that would have meant he was scoring forty five
- 59:05points a game, So that must be wrong because I don't. I don't
- 59:07remember that forty five point see it? So forty five points a game?
- 59:12No three point line? Hold on what's going on? Pistol pete. But
- 59:15we'll be back more to Sports Jock Show right after this Don't Go Away board
- 59:37of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gambias coming up next. And now let's
- 59:43talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage
- 59:46represents a critical piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 59:52life insurance. When I was twenty five, me and my wife were just
- 59:54getting started with our family and thought we lived forever. Life insurance was the
- 59:59last thing on my mind. What about you? Will you be leaving benefits
- 1:00:01or bills? When I was forty, with a kid in college and bills
- 1:00:05piling up, I was worried how my family will survive without me. That's
- 1:00:07why I made an appointment with the insurance informants. Information gives you power,
- 1:00:10and life insurance gives your family security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:00:15Now that I'm molder, I don't worry about whether I leave my family
- 1:00:19that bills their benefits. The answer is easy. Whether you're twenty five or
- 1:00:22fifty, Whether you earn a little or a lot, all you need is
- 1:00:24the insurance informant to help you build a foundation of security, because without you,

- 1:00:44the day because they teach students important life lessons like teamwork, accountability, and
- 1:00:49perseverance. School sports are so much more than a game. They're about developing
- 1:00:53the whole person. That's why they're an essential part of every student's education.
- 1:01:00Your student to participate in the last classroom of the day interscholastic sports in Georgia.

- 1:01:40That consul comes comes to bark. Is it just I'm gonna do it.
- 1:01:51I'm gonna go on the way you make. Vegan, Welcome back to this
- 1:01:54Why Shock shop. I'm this worshock. Wayne Candy, Good morning, tell
- 1:02:00you out there in this thing land. Glad to be here with you,
- 1:02:02Big Kenny Kamanchi, Greg riding with me today we are winding down the month
- 1:02:07of February. Black History Month is coming to a close, and I like
- 1:02:14how it hasn't been overly thrown in your face. It's been gently this year
- 1:02:23at least the things I've seen massage then like you know, more of a
- 1:02:30add into the show, make the topics black history now smushing it in your
- 1:02:36face, just serving it on a plate. Right today with the NBA,
- 1:02:42we recognize the contribution of African Americans everywhere this Black History Month, and it's
- 1:02:49not being cut the commercial McDonald's a Black History got an extra day this year,
- 1:02:58leap. Can you peep the culture right? You see the difference.
- 1:03:06I'm serious, it could be mean, but years before it was more like
- 1:03:12that. This year has been where giving it that. I'll listen. It's
- 1:03:17the difference between talking to someone and screaming at them. You're more like likely
- 1:03:23to listen and absorb, not here. That's why I used to word listen.
- 1:03:30Listen means that I'm taking in what you're saying. Hearing. I hear
- 1:03:34you because my ears work, but I am not absorbing. Yeah, I've
- 1:03:39been watching the NBA games. It's been nicely just giving you the fact instead
- 1:03:45of the old way. Lows wants you to know that he support where black
- 1:03:53history up who you put Like if you go into Target and they have the
- 1:04:02black History shirts, cups, napkins at the front of the store, right
- 1:04:08at the door, where would you put that? As far as if that's
- 1:04:11too much or oh, that's just called capitalism. Yeah, because they do
- 1:04:15that for whatever season. You tell them that area is just for whatever's hot
- 1:04:20today. Because March is coming, you'll see that black history stuff right next
- 1:04:26to Saint Patrick. I about to say, Irish stuff will be up there
- 1:04:29next week. They'll be selling some Irish beer. Kiss me, I'm Irish
- 1:04:33bro Oh god, Yeah, that's just capitalism right there. That has nothing
- 1:04:41to do with supporting black history. That's supporting bottom line. Right you want
- 1:04:46it, We're gonna be selling it right up front. And then as soon
- 1:04:49as Irish Day over we'll show you East Eastern Easter whatever you say. Eight.
- 1:04:58That's they designated section. They got somebody they hired specifically to make sure
- 1:05:03that section is always represented for the next thing, whatever that next thing is,
- 1:05:10that's what that is. So EA Sports is introducing a new video game
- 1:05:15this year, is they do every year, but this year on the college
- 1:05:19level, they are offering each around eleven thousand college football players six hundred dollars
- 1:05:30and a copy of the game free. Now, remember EA Sports has been
- 1:05:41out in and out of court all the way back to Ed O'Bannon. I
- 1:05:44think Ed O'Bannon and a couple of guys from the late nineties was suing them.
- 1:05:53As you see the EA Sports machine behind you right there, they were
- 1:05:57suing for copyright and when basically the same thing there are finally coming to an
- 1:06:04idea of this is what Ed O'Bannon was kind of why we never got compensated
- 1:06:11for the usage of our name or life life then. But the rules change,
- 1:06:16as I said, and now EA Sports is so brilliant because this is
- 1:06:21the tap agree generation. So there's probably eight or nine pages of agreement,
- 1:06:31but nobody reads it. So they'll tap agree, they'll get their six hundred
- 1:06:34dollars in their copy, but you can't get anything else after that. And
- 1:06:41all of those Ed O'Bannon was looking for some sort of equal sharing type of
- 1:06:45profit. This is an easy way out. You get a flat rate six
- 1:06:48hundred dollars, You get a copy of a game, you can sign your
- 1:06:51copy, you could sell it, you could do whatever you want to,
- 1:06:55but don't come back in ten years talking about you cheated me. But if
- 1:06:58you're on the game next year, because this year you're a sophomore, next
- 1:07:02year you're a junior, you get another six hundred dollars. Yes, it
- 1:07:06would be a year to year thing. You would have to sign up for
- 1:07:10year to year. And it's the same thing as I was saying. If
- 1:07:12you look at the video game behind, it's a EA Sports Madden behind Big
- 1:07:16Kenny that says Players Inc. In the corner that's the Players Association, And
- 1:07:25we all members of the NFL each year got part of our licensing check included
- 1:07:31whatever EA Sports would pay that year per player that we all equally got.
- 1:07:38Now you still can go out independently like someone like whoever's the next Shade or
- 1:07:43Sanders or something, Travis Hunter, next year and make individual deals on top
- 1:07:50of the six hundred dollars that maybe you'll do commercials, maybe you'll be on
- 1:07:54the cover. But this is just kind of almost like up in a way
- 1:08:00of thinking of it as a union. Their addressing this as they do the
- 1:08:03NFL, and which comes up about eleven thousand, it's like six million dollars.
- 1:08:13Yeah. Yeah, if say eleven thousand college football players, except that
- 1:08:18the six hundred, it would come up, and you know they make a
- 1:08:20lot more money, but it's a start. Yeah, yeah, you have
- 1:08:25to look at that. It in this hole. You can't look at everybody's
- 1:08:28getting a little piece of whatever that means that And this is the way I
- 1:08:31wanted NIL to work, where there was something in place regardless of fame,
- 1:08:39stardom, position, everybody got a dollar. Right now, we talk about
- 1:08:45the four people on the team is getting paid, but the other eighty arn't.
- 1:08:49In this scenario, everybody a starter or not. Everybody got who wants
- 1:08:57to can get this six hundred dollars. And you hope that more of these
- 1:09:02things if this stays around. As I keep telling everybody, we saw an
- 1:09:06injunction by the judge out of Tennessee that's kind of putting a halt to the
- 1:09:12nil for a second, because a lot of coaches, a lot of ads
- 1:09:16are saying it's getting out a hand and basically, you're mixing pro sports into
- 1:09:20college and the balance of college has disappeared. Part the component of education is
- 1:09:29completely gone. It's completely gone. So if you remove that, what do
- 1:09:31you have? I mean, and was hanging on by a thread even Yeah,
- 1:09:33pro football, right, yeah, pro basketball it's a lesser than the
- 1:09:40Pro pro. But you have an overtime elite, you have a semi pro
- 1:09:45league, you have the UFL. Basically, yes, that's exactly what it
- 1:09:49is, because that's what they're doing. They're paying players. Those players basically
- 1:09:55can make money off of their image and likeness and they just don't go to
- 1:10:01class. I mean, but whoever spoke about about the g p A.
- 1:10:05What the last time we focused on? It's hectic though, it's hectic on
- 1:10:11the class, you know. And I'm not saying and think about the sports,
- 1:10:15jock, I'm not. I'm not being selfish saying it's hectic for me.
- 1:10:18My presence make it hectic for you to learn because I'm such a distraction
- 1:10:25when I'm around because everybody, all my fans, you know they be wanting
- 1:10:29and not going to class. You're actually helping. Yeah, that's what I'm
- 1:10:32saying. So your learning environment be less stressful if I just if I just
- 1:10:39stayed Yeah, if I just stayed in my condo, who knew? So
- 1:10:44I did for class? That's right. It come because I knew that it
- 1:10:51would help you. But we will see how the chaos of this n I
- 1:10:56l And I'm quite sure this injunction probably is not gonna last long. But
- 1:11:00it's good to see people are recognizing that this is kind of getting out of
- 1:11:05hand. We've heard coaches from basketball. Rick Patino was like, there needs
- 1:11:11to be some kind of cap I think the NIL situation is probably what pushed
- 1:11:16off the power broker Nick Saban out because it's just kind of wide open.
- 1:11:23Different conversations I've had with different coaches in college has been just how there is
- 1:11:32They have no idea of what's going on. I don't know because Big Kenny
- 1:11:40had a big season, he was team MVP, he was conference MVP.
- 1:11:45He's a sophomore. Surely he's coming back. Yeah, Well, well about
- 1:11:54that, Yeah, your team memory voted your team and if you gave the
- 1:11:59trophy, right, hooked you up with the forward. Yeah, we had
- 1:12:03to pick up truck right, right. But the guys who played, they've
- 1:12:06got to deal with with Cadillac. So but you're all your all time leading
- 1:12:17score, I know, I know. So I'm going to go somewhere else
- 1:12:21and do it. And I'm going to go and try and break my record.
- 1:12:25No, we remember, we were saying, you know, one more
- 1:12:28year like that, we're gonna put a statue outside. Yeah, I know,
- 1:12:30And but they said they put up a statue down. So but you
- 1:12:33haven't even played there yet, I know. But it's I got to get
- 1:12:36there for the pictures because they're going to take the picture to do the actual
- 1:12:42statue. So and I got a Cadillac coming to three. I'll come back
- 1:12:46and get it. But thanks. And that's how it really is, and
- 1:12:50that's how it is now. So it's not the it's not the backup as
- 1:12:55I tell people when I when I put it in a perspective, for him,
- 1:12:59it was always at it might be there year or two and never got
- 1:13:01on the field and got an opportunity to find another school to get to and
- 1:13:04start. But rarely did the starter lead just to go across town. But
- 1:13:11that's how the nil works. They have a Lamborghini deal, y'all. Y'all
- 1:13:16are only over here with Kia. I'm going over here to Lamborghini. Yeah,
- 1:13:20it's a nice little deal. We'll be back with more to Sports Joke
- 1:13:25Show right after this every Day Don't Bowl, Wayne Board of the Sports John
- 1:13:40Hill with Wayne Gandy Yes coming up next. Have you noticed bad behavior has
- 1:13:47become normalized at interscholastic athletic events. Some fans seem angry, They lacks civility
- 1:13:54towards one another. Some even get aggressive and unruly. Time out. What
- 1:14:00is going on? This has to stop. Let's not forget school sports aren't
- 1:14:06just about winning, and they're definitely not an excuse to take your frustrations out
- 1:14:11on the official or the opponent. They're about teaching lessons like perseverance, respect,
- 1:14:16and empathy so students can learn and grow as people, not just as
- 1:14:20players. We all have a role to play in setting a good example for
- 1:14:26our students and teaching them these important values. So fans, it's time to

- 1:16:00David won't sit the tag. It's Shiversday, and you know we don't
- 1:16:03give up because that's your birthday. What back to this shock show? A
- 1:16:08couple of birthdays here coming from yesterday and today. ESPN Great reporter Andrea Kramer
- 1:16:16is sixty five years of age. Korean Bailey Ray the Songstress is forty five.
- 1:16:25Erica Baidu is fifty three years of the legend The legendary Marshall Falk is
- 1:16:35fifty one years of age. Big time money if he was in around college
- 1:16:42now, oh, out of San Diego State. Bow Knicks from Oregon,
- 1:16:49the quarterback twenty four years old and twenty four. Remember with COVID, people
- 1:16:58like bow Knicks ended up with six because you had Originally they were just going
- 1:17:06to make it one year. After it was over, they declare that if
- 1:17:11you played the COVID year, it didn't count and you got an extra year.
- 1:17:15That's how the six come in. So you have your four that you
- 1:17:20were allotted. You had the COVID year that if you played you just played
- 1:17:28it. You had an extra year for the COVID and That's how six years
- 1:17:33ended up for bold Knicks. Four at Auburn to at Oregon, and now
- 1:17:39it's getting ready to be drafted. Probably could be a late first round pick
- 1:17:45in their early second round pick. Show a lot of potential of being able,
- 1:17:49and it made the right move. I was not mad. I thought
- 1:17:54he I played with his dad, Patrick Nicks. Great move if you felt
- 1:18:00like you were trying to get out of that Tim Tebow kind of frame,
- 1:18:05right, But that's where bo Knicks. Bo Dix was like the modern day
- 1:18:09Tim Tebow and needed to go somewhere where he could learn to throw show people
- 1:18:14he could throw the ball. That's what Oregon did for Did it did for
- 1:18:17him? Yes, Auburn just had him in that scramble mode you showing him
- 1:18:24as a hard nose, feisty like tvo that could run the ball, make
- 1:18:28some plays, but had no polish of throwing the ball. So twenty four
- 1:18:31years old definitely increased his stock by going to Oregon. Sally Jesse Rafael,

- 1:19:05he started, I don't know. You know, he's been out in the
- 1:19:10league. I know at least five six years. I was going to say
- 1:19:15seven, but yeah, it's been a while, so you know, you
- 1:19:17thought he had a little longer window to play in kind of like an Alhoffer
- 1:19:24him in the Al I think went to Florida together. Yeah. I think
- 1:19:29they're the same age. Oh yeah, close to it, because al Haffer

- 1:21:46I know two reasons this sound made up. One because I brought you

- 1:22:09You know what I'm saying. You never heard of none of this stuff,
- 1:22:11So we got to just assume it exists. It's Canada. Is something
- 1:22:15you've heard of, right, and so this is inside of Canada, so
- 1:22:17we don't really want to discredit Canada. The University of Waterloo has removed some
- 1:22:23vending machine that had facial recognition technology installed in them. Wrongfully is not wrongfully
- 1:22:33missed? Yes, I mean and the students were kind of like, why
- 1:22:39is there facial recognition technology in the vending machine? And then what are you
- 1:22:43doing with this information? And uh, I'm trying to figure out which kind
- 1:22:47of snacks to keep in the in the vending machine. Well you could do
- 1:22:50that by coming and b six which was Cheetos, is empty. They're like,
- 1:22:56the only wayness I used to do it, B six was Cheetos.
- 1:22:59It's empty like grcinos. But the mars Eminem's candy company is saying that they're

- 1:26:36the player's lounge on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy. Welcome back to
- 1:27:08this swor Shock show. I'm the sparshock Wing Candy. Good morning to you.
- 1:27:12Glad to be here with you, Big Kenny Comanchi Greg as I said
- 1:27:15earlier, if you missed any of the show. As we go off the
- 1:27:17air, commanche will upload us to Apple Podcasts, Amazon Podcasts, Spotify,
- 1:27:24Audible, Deezer, or iHeartRadio or your choices for replay of the show.
- 1:27:30To day All Day. Adrian Peterson, the Hall of Famer to be still
- 1:27:35showing signs, so maybe early ct E speaking that he's still up for playing
- 1:27:44football again. Now, not sure why all day, who should be about
- 1:27:50twelve months from Hall of Fame conduction consideration. How long he's been retired because
- 1:28:00he's not retired, but I think twenty played. I think it's three.
- 1:28:06I think it's two. It might it might be too. I know he
- 1:28:10played for the Seahawks and I think last Yeah, he last played for the
- 1:28:15Seahawks and they were in the I know they played the Rams and they were
- 1:28:18in that new stadium, so that might have been twies. Okay, we
- 1:28:21have to be five years off of the field before you can be inducted into
- 1:28:27the Hall of Fame. So all day you got two in let it,
- 1:28:29Let it ride. Man, It's okay, all day, Adrian Peterson.
- 1:28:32Unless there's something we would have to google to see what it is that you're
- 1:28:36trying to get into. He might be a couple of yards short of something
- 1:28:42and be one of those record be one of those people who just won't let
- 1:28:45it go, whereas someone like a Barry Sanders you mentioned him earlier. Man,
- 1:28:50I ain't got time for this. He just said he very if an
- 1:28:55argue with you like eight yards from all time. If they don't catch me,
- 1:29:00I ain't gonna get him because I'm heading. You just need to come
- 1:29:02back from one game though, that's the problem. I ain't coming back for
- 1:29:05normal game. There was a record that there's some of his items are being
- 1:29:14sold, like his awards or jerseys without his permission, and some people are
- 1:29:21saying that he's that he's broke now, that he blew through all the money.
- 1:29:29So that's why he's considering playing again. Okay, well that'd be perfect
- 1:29:34now that kind of stuff. I can't sit here and argue with him if
- 1:29:38he thinks he can get out there and then get league minimum, especially if
- 1:29:42a team picked him up. Remember with his advanced years, his minimum would
- 1:29:45be about eight hundred grand or something, and then he can get back into
- 1:29:49the commercials and all that. So if he's found himself on bad times,
- 1:29:55that is a great ways. He's fifth all time. I mean, he's
- 1:29:59three hundred yard behind Barry Sanders. But I don't think anyone's gonna like pass
- 1:30:03him anytime soon. No, that's why I say, maybe somebody's in front
- 1:30:08of him. He thinks that even if I just get about twenty thirty yards
- 1:30:12a game. If I could get a season in, I could pass on
- 1:30:16the list with a seventeen game season if I got twenty five yards a game,
- 1:30:23right, and then I got twenty five yards. I mean, I'm
- 1:30:26sure I got twenty five yards. Yeah, because remember he's not in his
- 1:30:30last four or five years. He was very okay being the backup. Yes
- 1:30:33he was, and getting whatever a little tough yardage he could get, so
- 1:30:38it could be something where he could see himself passing someone easily, and a
- 1:30:44lot it's hard for a lot of people. That's what fascinated That's why I
- 1:30:46used Barry Sanders. It was fascinating that he walked away. He walked away
- 1:30:53being so close because most times when people were sitting on him that close to
- 1:30:57a record, they have more of a why not, Yeah, you know
- 1:31:00we've seen we can. You need to tell three more jokes. Okay,
- 1:31:05I'm gonna do seven jokes just to show y'all it's real. But it's four
- 1:31:11am in your ninety six. Hold on, I wanted to talk about the
- 1:31:15because you said being broke for Adrian Peterson, and I don't know his financial
- 1:31:21situation. I was as I was coming back up the road, I was
- 1:31:27reading about Scottie Pippen and the No Bulls tour and how people are criticizing and
- 1:31:33trying to make it seem like Scottie Pippen, Luke Lonely and Churs Grant had
- 1:31:42no right to have come to some kind of way of monetarizing their side.
- 1:31:50Yeah, that's important of what was said and monetarizing. Maybe they didn't get
- 1:31:57anything out of the last dance. I don't. I don't know how and
- 1:32:00who got paid, but I do know why wouldn't I be able to go
- 1:32:08do something? You started it right right? The last dance was where viral
- 1:32:12or selfer got all this money, got virus and everybody wanted to watch it.
- 1:32:16I got shy. Wouldn't I come up with some of the friends that
- 1:32:19started and be like, hey man, we go they saying they willing to
- 1:32:24pay us X amount of dollars because we got six hundred dollars and a copy
- 1:32:29of the last dance that was it. Yeah. I couldn't see why it
- 1:32:32was wrong for Scotty and those guys that maybe want to set their side.
- 1:32:38That doesn't mean that they are going on tour to necessarily bash Michael Jordan's or
- 1:32:44anybody. No, we just hey, I know y'all saw the last dance.
- 1:32:49I was on that team. You probably don't remember me, and then
- 1:32:53tell their side. It doesn't always have to be discrediting or bashing Michael Jordan,
- 1:32:58even if it's a bad thing people say it like as far as like
- 1:33:00from Scottie Pippens's perspective, specifically, that is to bash Michael Jordan, especially
- 1:33:06with the book that he just came out with. That's how it's that how
- 1:33:12how is how it looks on the surface. But what's the book called.
- 1:33:15It's called Unguarded Michael Jordan's book or Scotottie Pippens book. And it had things
- 1:33:20where he talked about Michael. Yes, okay, is he what he's saying
- 1:33:25about Michael bashing or he's just telling his side of the story and things about
- 1:33:30Michael that you didn't know both. Okay, give us an example of bashing.
- 1:33:40Well, you tell him that he says that he was like a bad
- 1:33:45teammate or he's one of the worst, most selfish players he ever played with.
- 1:33:50And but is that bashing or is that the truth? To him?
- 1:33:56It's the truth. I can only make him at his word. That's how
- 1:34:00he feels as I can want it. I'm saying that doesn't removed that Michael
- 1:34:08Jordan is still the greatest player to play, right. He just wasn't a
- 1:34:13good teammate. Remember last week when I was saying, some people are leaders
- 1:34:18and some people are just being followed because the other people are scared. And
- 1:34:25then Big Kenny was like he felt like Michael Jordan was and Kobe were the
- 1:34:30guys that guys followed more out of fear than that they were leaders. So
- 1:34:39it's the thing that I think Scotty gets to tell his story. I think
- 1:34:43Scotty gets to sit there, good or bad, and explain, since you
- 1:34:46brought it back up, why he didn't go in the game, and maybe
- 1:34:50you will be surprised, maybe he will own it. Like I was immature,
- 1:34:56I was, you know, feeling myself. I did have regret that
- 1:35:00I didn't do it, you know, but in the last dance it was
- 1:35:03painted this way, but nobody gave me an opportunity to ever come back and
- 1:35:10realize. By the time I got to my car, I told myself,
- 1:35:15man, you know you don't messed up right, right, You sure should
- 1:35:17have not done it. Should I tried to call him. I tried to
- 1:35:20call him. He knew it was me, you know, so you know,
- 1:35:25so I just didn't get that. If I could see that, if
- 1:35:29they just went on this tour without the last dance kind of thing in the
- 1:35:33air, I could see the criticism. But big Kenny, since you brought
- 1:35:38it up, right you, I thought we was gonna be I thought we
- 1:35:42were just gonna leave. But since you want to go back, and you
- 1:35:46brought up Southern miss and so here it is. Don't be mad that your
- 1:35:51wife now now now she know everything. Old, No, man, you
- 1:35:56ain't have to do it. You know what brought it up. Remember you
- 1:35:58wrote the book, you had the little document call Golden Eagle Fly, and
- 1:36:03now and now you talking about you should have kept for this and trying to
- 1:36:06make it seem like I was the only one right doing it, that was
- 1:36:10doing it, and skipped over the part where you had just did it.
- 1:36:14And now we got a whole new documentary, right and so yeah, remember
- 1:36:19the girl you paid? Hey, that was that wasn't then my documentary.
- 1:36:26See that's the problem with these licensed documents. That's that's all I was saying.
- 1:36:30Command you that whoever the powers that be, whether it's Michael Jordan and
- 1:36:34Last Dance people. You opened this up and we see that people are very
- 1:36:41interested. And we got these promoters who have come here and we don't know
- 1:36:46that Horace Grant or Scottie Pippen have their financial situations. Yeah, Luke lonely,
- 1:36:55he might have been over there and back in Australia buying up too many
- 1:36:57surfboards. I mean, and even if something somebody somebody, hey man,
- 1:37:01we got eight dates for five million dollars, can you make them? I
- 1:37:05mean, And even if you're financially straight, eight days in Australia and five
- 1:37:11million dollars, why not get away from the house, you know what I
- 1:37:15mean, work on my tan. It was something that my mother in law
- 1:37:18was saying about something. But I'll figure that out when I get back,
- 1:37:21you know what I mean. Man Like with Luke Lungley, he wasn't in
- 1:37:26the Last Dance, but in Australia he's kind of he's a national hero.
- 1:37:30He's one of the first Australian players. Correct, That's what I'm saying.
- 1:37:32So this is a man. But if he was on that team he saw
- 1:37:38the last dance, people probably been questioning, hey man, why you wasn't
- 1:37:41on the last dance. I was on the side of the story. I
- 1:37:45was on the Last Dance Part two, so I didn't. I just didn't
- 1:37:47see. I do see. Maybe if these three guys got together and just
- 1:37:53decided to bring this stuff back up, I don't see what's wrong with them
- 1:37:58capitalizing on that you brought this up. We'll be back more to Sportstock Show
- 1:38:04right after this Don't Go Away, or of the Sports Jos Show with Wayne

- 1:40:50now back to the sports job, Wayne Gandysing London say you can see the
- 1:41:16sports jain't I'll sing even Jenny, welcome back to this what shock John?
- 1:41:23This what shock wing kind Stephen A. Smith, one of the biggest names
- 1:41:29in sports reporting, UH, had some choice words about Zion Williamson UH,
- 1:41:34the star power forward for the New Orleans Pelicans last week UH, where he
- 1:41:42went in about really the only thing important to Zion is Hamburgers really going in
- 1:41:47about Zion and his weight, criticizing him. But the Pelicans as a team
- 1:41:54decided to go back at Stephen a going back to his days at was It
- 1:42:00Wisdom Sailing State and showing that he averaged one point one and a half points
- 1:42:08a game. Wait, now that sounded like I showed the University of the
- 1:42:15Valley in a low valley university. Does sound like that's statistic and this is
- 1:42:24one of those things. And Stephen, they tried to come back that,
- 1:42:26oh, well I hurt my knee and that my career. Well, first
- 1:42:30of all, you were at no discredit, but obviously your talent was only
- 1:42:36D two level two. If that's where you were. As I said,
- 1:42:43there's no knock. Plenty of people have found themselves at one level and made
- 1:42:47themselves into some of the greatest players ever to play. But that's all your
- 1:42:51talent got. And then these guys showed it you only and I think it
- 1:42:56was the ninety ninety one season something like that, you average one point five
- 1:43:01points a game. Go ahead. It was actually what he always comes back
- 1:43:06with is it was actually zero, Like he didn't play because of his knee
- 1:43:11injury, and then he didn't play, So basically as the players and then
- 1:43:15as players, because people never really seem to want to accept how players view
- 1:43:26commentators right, They want to skip over that, like the player's view of
- 1:43:30the commentator. He's supposed to be able to call me fat and not just
- 1:43:33go go serve that's unfair. Well, I might Well, player is always
- 1:43:39going to want to know what you do, what it is, what qualifies
- 1:43:45you to assess me? That's what a player wants to know. What qualifies
- 1:43:56you to assess me and evaluate me correct? Who are you to tell me
- 1:44:06how many points I should be scoring? And that's the part where Stephen A.
- 1:44:15Smith in his career has been able to do the Barry Sanders. He's
- 1:44:20been able to get away and dodge that. What is your credential? We
- 1:44:25know what Shay Shay's credential is, Channon Shark. We know what JJ Reddick,
- 1:44:31whether you like JJ Reddick or not, what you thought of JJ Reddick
- 1:44:35put in twelve, thirteen, fourteen years on the court, whether you thought
- 1:44:41he deserved it or not, he was out there. He was a superstar
- 1:44:44duke player. But what are your credentials of criticism, Well, were you
- 1:44:53the head coach? You paid? I didn't have to coach. I played,
- 1:44:58thank you, and I scored forward one and a half points for the
- 1:45:03season. Oh and with some sandem state kind I kind of scored because I
- 1:45:10didn't really play. But well, did you coach like Mike Tomlin sort of?
- 1:45:17Well, I said some stuff like a coach. So and that's where
- 1:45:26player, That's where guys like when you be trying to figure out why,
- 1:45:29like somebody like a Kevin Durant has always had this kind of riff with someone
- 1:45:34like a stephen A Because in the world of athletics, we are looking for
- 1:45:41credentials. Other places I can't speak for and I'm not saying you have to
- 1:45:48be Hall of Fame, but you have to have reached the level. Each
- 1:45:55level has to go up. So if you had never been in the pros,
- 1:46:02how would you be evaluating me. One of the listeners, Chris Michael,
- 1:46:08says that stephen A. Smith's greatest basketball knowledge is he played for Big
- 1:46:12House games? Is that games or games games games Big House? Right?
- 1:46:16That was the coach that same which is a story coach, very well respected.
- 1:46:25But I mean that in coach games. No can tell Zion fat boy
- 1:46:32that he is that. Yes, lay off the cheese, That's what I'm
- 1:46:36saying. You did you coach? Did you did you go g M?
- 1:46:41Were you the head of player personnel? No? But like we're in the
- 1:46:46world, when we're in the sports world, were you doing oh you was
- 1:46:50head scout? No? No, no, but I did coin the phrase
- 1:46:55but lebraun but love broad Nobody says it better than me, but love broad
- 1:47:04see and now I'm Stephen, they don't hate it. And all I can
- 1:47:09say because I try to find examples where people, Uh, there is your
- 1:47:15uncle Bob, who's a mechanic, telling you your son is great basketball.
- 1:47:26And then there's Michael Jordan walking by you telling you, hey, that boy,
- 1:47:31Hey, sir, is that your son? Yeah, that's that's my
- 1:47:34boy. You're a bad boy. And my uncle told me that uncle already
- 1:47:43put in which one of them? Two are you holding? Uh? Michael
- 1:47:48Jordans, I'm sure would make me go. Look now it ain't like don't
- 1:47:51know what he's talking about, but maybe we ought to hold off on track
- 1:47:57and field and you just play some bas basketball? Why we play basketball this
- 1:48:01year? Just this year? Right? And he's the same with someone of
- 1:48:06your industry recognition. Yes, it's gonna hold more weight if you're a chef.
- 1:48:13Other chef's opinion, Mannings would carry more than just the regular customer.
- 1:48:20And now let me ask you this, knowing Stephen A. Smith and how
- 1:48:24he presents himself, do you think sometimes he does this stuff to get this
- 1:48:29kind of visibility in social media and across these media platforms, because I mean,
- 1:48:38you know your credentials before you start going to somebody like a Zion And
- 1:48:42maybe you think it's gonna be easy because other people are frustrated with him too.
- 1:48:47But you know you're talking about this team defending their teammate. Yeah,
- 1:48:54the team I'm talking about the Pelican team showing him. He probably thought it
- 1:48:58was gonna be suing as much you might be talking to the people that make
- 1:49:01you money, the public. We value what you're saying at zero enzioned by
- 1:49:08us all cheese bogus. Now we'll be back more to Sports Jock Show right

- 1:50:06life insurance. Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:50:12of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have life insurance. When
- 1:50:16I was twenty five, me and my wife were just getting started with our
- 1:50:18family and thought we live forever. Life insurance was the last thing on my
- 1:50:23mind. What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills? When
- 1:50:26I was forty, with a kid in college and bills piling up, I
- 1:50:29was worried how my family will survive without me. That's when I'm in an
- 1:50:31appointment with the insurance informant. Information gives you power, and life insurance gives
- 1:50:35your family security no matter what stage of life you're in. Now that I'm
- 1:50:39older, I don't worry about whether I leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:50:43The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty, whether you
- 1:50:45earn a little or a lot, all you need is the insurance informant to
- 1:50:49help you build a foundation of security, because without you, your family will
- 1:50:54have two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?

- 1:51:46time for the school board. Can we put a spin on life and sports
- 1:51:51and how they intermingle on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy? What My
- 1:52:12Tennis Boy Shock Show? This Boy Shock Wing KNDy. Former NFL player Seres
- 1:52:17Wright has identified himself publicly as one of twelve anonymous plaintiffs who have accused a
- 1:52:25former high school athletic trainer of sexually assaulting them while they were miners attending a
- 1:52:33southern California high school. Cherise Wright played a couple of years NFL. The
- 1:52:41thirty six year old one of six former Colton High School football players who originally
- 1:52:50sued Colton Joint Unified School District and former athletic trainer Tiffany House Gordon in September.
- 1:53:02So twelve plaintiffs are now to start off as a six, it's twelve.
- 1:53:08They are saying that Tiffany, who was the daughter of the head football
- 1:53:13coach at the time, right, is saying that he carried on a relationship
- 1:53:19with her. So this is more of a statutory rate kind of sexual assault.
- 1:53:30Where Tiffany Strauss Gordon I was like twenty one, twenty two years old,
- 1:53:35fresh out of college. She had became an athletic trainer at the school
- 1:53:40for a dad, and Wright, who has come forward, says that it
- 1:53:45started when he was a sophomore, carried on for three years. Now,
- 1:53:50only thing out of the story, I can't say he would know two things
- 1:53:55I always wish in these cases because the person says they come forward because they
- 1:54:00don't want anyone else to go down that road. Well, I wish you
- 1:54:04would have done this years ago. Now, hey, it's easy to say
- 1:54:08that when you're not the person, but you just wish the person had the
- 1:54:12courage years ago, because now that's been an eighteen year gap between when you
- 1:54:16graduated high school until now for that predator to continue and now what they're doing.
- 1:54:24You know, but I'm not saying he should because you have to deal
- 1:54:27with how that worked in your life. You just wish that person, at
- 1:54:31any point in eighteen years that came forward to stop it. And the second
- 1:54:36is the part where they sue the school district. I think the school district
- 1:54:44and companies get on the hook for things that if you didn't make me aware
- 1:54:48of it, how was I supposed to take care of it? And and
- 1:54:54you participated? Right now, this is not and and this is the and
- 1:54:59that don't mean to malign or diminish the impact of acts like this on the
- 1:55:05people who are victimized bisexual assault. But there was probably a time when some
- 1:55:14of these alleged victims bragged about having the coach's older daughter and she trains us,
- 1:55:23and she really trains us. And we laugh about it now, but
- 1:55:26then we go on a little further down the line and we see where the
- 1:55:30wording of the law could make it possible for us to benefit financially by suing
- 1:55:35the school district, because I wonder is she even there now? Is there's
- 1:55:42no statute of limitations on this, so it just seems quite questionable that it
- 1:55:47would come up all of these years later, and that there would be so
- 1:55:51many It's like they went and found or did they seek him out and say,
- 1:55:56hey, man, do the right thing and add your name to the
- 1:56:00list. Well, you know, and maybe he found courage in the other
- 1:56:02guys coming forward about it. That's why I said, you just would hope
- 1:56:11whoever would come out a little sooner so that that predator does not continue to
- 1:56:16have time to do it to others. And I just know sometimes they say,
- 1:56:20oh, we're going to school, sue the school, and it's like,
- 1:56:24but if you didn't tell the school, the school is responsible. Once
- 1:56:27you tell them that this is going on, that's the only way that they
- 1:56:30would, you know, to jump in, because otherwise, other than that,
- 1:56:34they didn't know anything. A lot of times, so Donald Trump has
- 1:56:39a sneaker. Command you, Greg big Kinney. He says that it's like
- 1:56:44a four hundred dollars goal sneaker, right, and you said it's different names
- 1:56:51to the shoe. It has an American it's gold, It has an American
- 1:56:55flag on the heel of it. If it was it Donald Trump's shoe.
- 1:57:03Do you like the shoe enough to wear it? But it's better than this
- 1:57:06Steph Curry. No, I mean, but you know, black folks wear
- 1:57:12some crazy stuff, so I think that it would fly anywhere else. Why
- 1:57:15did you say black folks because I've seen them wear some odd sneakers. Okay
- 1:57:23I don't, but so white folks don't wear odd sneakers. Now, they
- 1:57:28wear sneakers that nobody knows about. They just put on the sneaker brands that
- 1:57:33no one's really familiar with. But they might be a good sneaker. But
- 1:57:36I'm saying a goal sneaker, a metallic goal sneaker with an American flag on
- 1:57:45it is a little much for anybody. Uh, Gramanche, did you see
- 1:57:48the shoe? Uh kind of high? Well? Can you remove because it's
- 1:57:55Donald Trump? So of course, Well, I have some gold. I
- 1:57:57have some gold ewings. I bring them over here year I and you're brave
- 1:58:05for even being willing. It's not surprising that the shoes are gold. Well,
- 1:58:10when I first saw them, the first thing I thought was these look
- 1:58:13like the gold pat ewings now I have in my closet. In the coverage
- 1:58:16of this shoe, they have shown other shoes that are similar to this.
- 1:58:20Do you think he'll face some sort of copyright infringement because this isn't new.
- 1:58:26This design is nothing, That's what I'm saying. I've seen shoes that look
- 1:58:30like this or worse. So do you think that he just went saw someone's
- 1:58:33design and thought nobody will confront me. I'm Donald Trump, and now he's
- 1:58:38trying to sell them like that? And so do you think that maybe another
- 1:58:42sneaker brand will come and say something about it. No, because the shoe
- 1:58:45looks like a typical high top shoe that everybody makes, Okay, so there
- 1:58:50is no uniqueness to it. Well, I love the American flag on the
- 1:58:56top heel of the shoe. I like the T on the side of the
- 1:59:01shoe. It's a hot shoe. Now it's gold my flare of it.
- 1:59:10No, but I could see a lot of people buying this shoe if it
- 1:59:14had a Nike sign on it. And that's the part I'm looking at.
- 1:59:18It's getting hated on because it's Trump shoe or maybe what he said to introduce
- 1:59:24the shoe. But I'm looking at the shoe and I see multiple people at
- 1:59:29the game wearing this shoe. If I went to a basketball game and if
- 1:59:34it didn't say Trump, if it said Louis, if that tea was an
- 1:59:41l V or vasace and it would fly off the ship. It looked like
- 1:59:45it would fly off the shelf, even with the American flag on the back
- 1:59:48of it. He's got a couple of other pairs that He's got a red
- 1:59:51pair, not the same style. He's got a red pair and a white
- 1:59:58pair with the with the tea on it. Because I've been looking for those
- 2:00:00old school mid eighties, uh white red and gold Adidas high top. They
- 2:00:11made'em in three different colors. There was white, red and gold,
- 2:00:14there was black, silver and white, and there was a baby blue silver
- 2:00:20and white. It was an addition. They will not make the shoe again.
- 2:00:25I have no idea why, and it reminded me of that shoe.
- 2:00:30But I'll bring the ewings and let y'all see'em. I've never worn'em.
- 2:00:33I think they were given to me by the Hawks or something, back
- 2:00:36when I first became a pat Ewings. I even when I get to the
- 2:00:42house, I'll send y'all a picture of'em. Do that? Do that?
- 2:00:45Yeah? And we are. I knows the truth is he will throw
- 2:00:51YO to the ocean. It's time to rap things. So on the Sports
- 2:00:57Judge Show with Wayne Gandy, when it decide an ocean that gives usport,
- 2:01:18shout jest a minute to Vin. We'd like to thank you for tuning in

- 2:01:44I hate to do this again, but I hate hypocrisy. I just
- 2:01:49hated today. It might be my top three things. I just be you.
- 2:01:54I'm not against you being you. Just don't be a hypocrite. Did
- 2:01:59you really old Malcolm Dandridge out of the game from Memphis the other day?
- 2:02:04Do the eligibility are you joking? People don't go to what do you eligibility?
- 2:02:15Y'all are investigating his eligibility. What did he go to the Supermax out
- 2:02:20in Colorado? What happened? Because other than that, unless she was saying,
- 2:02:26he down in that dungeon in the sale next to L Choppo, we
- 2:02:29don't do school eligibility. Don't well L Choppo missed pre col too. I
- 2:02:35mean, so class, Come on now, don't be a hypocrite. Now,
- 2:02:41ain't nobody went to class? Were going, we were gonna go.
- 2:02:45Andrewese was in Dubai and liiving Nun wasn't even on the planet. She had
- 2:02:51went to the moon with Elon Musk. But they coming back to class.
- 2:02:58It was a secretous class. I'm on n clea, don't be hypocrites.
- 2:03:01Now nobody's doing school anymore. They're doing nil and commercials, billboards. You
- 2:03:11can't say you held this man out of a game because you was investigating his
- 2:03:14eligibility. I have no clue, but throw them in the ocean. We
- 2:03:18don't even do school no more. We don't do background checks. What's going
- 2:03:23on. It's a serious investigation. We had some twenty eight year old quarterbacks,
- 2:03:31so it couldn't have been dam We went out to his lake house to
- 2:03:35talk to him about it. We hope you have a great day as it
- 2:03:42continues. VIC Kenny command you Greg. Peace.
