- 0:00Speaker 1: Run run out of songs. Okay, yeah, we've got a
- 0:03Speaker 1: real test for you this week. We have you got
- 0:07Speaker 1: them loaded up.
- 0:08Speaker 2: They are loaded and ready to go. The first two.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Okay, well I've been after I made a big era
- 0:15Speaker 1: of one of the teams.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Was it Brentford?
- 0:17Speaker 1: Wasn't it that hate uh Burley Burnley. Yeah. Anyway, I've
- 0:26Speaker 1: been doing some lots of homework. So I've got three
- 0:28Speaker 1: songs for you this week. And the first song is
- 0:31Speaker 1: played for a team that if the spit crafted this one.
- 0:36Speaker 1: If they win a home match, they play this song
- 0:40Speaker 1: at the end of the game. They don't play it
- 0:42Speaker 1: if they lose the song that yeah, okay, we're just
- 0:47Speaker 1: done a little bit of sign language there or there. Yeah,
- 0:49Speaker 1: we've got that one queued up. And the second song
- 0:52Speaker 1: is a team plays this when they run out at halftime.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Okay yeah, and so yeah, we've got that one queued up.
- 1:02Speaker 1: So we play those two. I think start with I'm
- 1:04Speaker 1: not going to tell you the answers because I have
- 1:06Speaker 1: actually got a run This is a premiere runout song
- 1:10Speaker 1: to play you later on.
- 1:11Speaker 3: But these two are the tests first.
- 1:14Speaker 1: So this first one is when this their crafty they
- 1:18Speaker 1: only played this song at the end of a game
- 1:21Speaker 1: if they's won.
- 1:22Speaker 4: So hear that bab right? Okay, well the first one,
- 1:25Speaker 4: this one is Andy Williams. I like Andy Williams. Yeah,
- 1:28Speaker 4: And this is Can't take My Eyes off of You.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Folkston's radio station one oh five point nine Radio Folkstone.
- 1:43Speaker 1: You're just a good.
- 1:47Speaker 4: This is my.
- 1:51Speaker 2: You'd be like.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Line Radio Folks.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Then there you go. That's the fantastic Clash and London
- 2:25Speaker 4: called in. Okay, those two were in the can there now.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Just to remind the listeners if you just tuned in,
- 2:32Speaker 1: I'm giving adi a little test today. We're doing this
- 2:35Speaker 1: runout song every week, but I dropped a bit of
- 2:38Speaker 1: a klanger last week. So I've been doing a lot
- 2:40Speaker 1: of research and I hope I've got it right. So
- 2:43Speaker 1: the first song we played was Andy Williams and that's
- 2:47Speaker 1: a great song. And you know, I think that if
- 2:51Speaker 1: you kind of switch it from Andy Williams to a
- 2:54Speaker 1: big crowd of blokes in a pub watching football, you
- 2:57Speaker 1: can just imagine them singing that song. And this particular
- 3:00Speaker 1: club only play that song when they win a home match.
- 3:03Speaker 1: They don't play it if they lose a home match.
- 3:06Speaker 1: And the other song a London calling by the Clash. Well,
- 3:10Speaker 1: that is a halftime runout song, and there's a little
- 3:13Speaker 1: bit of a clue in the title there, so that
- 3:16Speaker 1: might narrow it down. But don't tell me just yet,
- 3:18Speaker 1: made because you've got one more to go. This song
- 3:22Speaker 1: is actually the runout song of a premiere club. It
- 3:27Speaker 1: is a very very different song. But they only play
- 3:31Speaker 1: they only play if you like the back half of
- 3:34Speaker 1: the song. We're going to listen to the whole thing.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Watch it build up. It's a bit of a slow
- 3:38Speaker 1: build up. But on the day when they play this
- 3:40Speaker 1: song at a premiere ground, they kind of play the
- 3:43Speaker 1: back half of it, which is quite a crowd arousing certainly.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Okay, this is okay, okay, it is.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Esque girl, a bit of culture for you.
- 3:57Speaker 4: Okay, first time I've ever heard this, I think, here
- 4:00Speaker 4: we go. Sure it's not yours? Did you know I
- 4:46Speaker 4: wrote the words for that one?
- 4:48Speaker 1: You know, you can see what I mean. It kind
- 4:50Speaker 1: of builds up in the second half. By the way,
- 4:54Speaker 1: if you think you've just tuned into classic f M,
- 4:57Speaker 1: you're this is the Saturday's Books show that we're having
- 5:00Speaker 1: a little bit of a test today. And that was
- 5:03Speaker 1: Palladio by Escala. Now you might remember Escala. They were
- 5:07Speaker 1: a little group of beautiful ladies that wore very short
- 5:10Speaker 1: skirts and played the violin in front and Simon CAW's
- 5:14Speaker 1: eyes were popping out of his ears.
- 5:16Speaker 3: He's got talent.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Yeah. I think it was Brittain or one of one
- 5:21Speaker 2: of them. Yeah.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Do you know what year it was? I don't actually know.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I guess well.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I think the tune has been going for Fulham for
- 5:28Speaker 1: quite a long time, so I know I must be
- 5:32Speaker 1: going twelve years.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Ago, two thousand and nine?
- 5:34Speaker 3: Was it nine?
- 5:35Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:36Speaker 3: Right?
- 5:36Speaker 4: Yeah, right, Okay, I'm going to try and give you
- 5:40Speaker 4: the answers.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Okay, So the first one is an Andy Williams song.
- 5:44Speaker 1: This club only play it when they win a home match.
- 5:48Speaker 1: At the end of the game.
- 5:50Speaker 2: I am going to say, all the empt and wanderers.
- 5:54Speaker 1: No, I'm afraid you're wrong. There's a good guess. I'll
- 5:57Speaker 1: give you the answer. It's Fulham.
- 5:59Speaker 2: How was it full of? Okay?
- 6:00Speaker 1: Right?
- 6:01Speaker 3: The second song is London Cooling.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Now this is the halftime runout song, and there's a
- 6:06Speaker 1: little clue in the in the in the title there.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Must be a London club man U nite. No, I'm
- 6:14Speaker 2: going to say Crystal Palace.
- 6:15Speaker 1: No, I'm sorry, you're wrong, or Brentford. No, Fulham, it
- 6:22Speaker 1: would be one of them, right, okay. And the actual
- 6:25Speaker 1: runout song, this song is played every time that this
- 6:28Speaker 1: particular Premier club takes to the pitch before the game palladio.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Uh.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Well, two have been Fulham, so I'm going to say
- 6:38Speaker 4: for them again. A little trick question there. I was
- 6:44Speaker 4: going to say not on Forest, but after the first
- 6:47Speaker 4: two were I thought perhaps.
- 6:48Speaker 3: It's well, I'll tell you what.
- 6:50Speaker 1: There was a little story there because I've been chatting
- 6:52Speaker 1: with my friend Cliff Cliffy Munger again is an old
- 6:55Speaker 1: I told you this story last week, but I've got
- 6:58Speaker 1: a bit more in depth out of him. He's a
- 7:00Speaker 1: Fulham season ticket holder and the other day, after we
- 7:03Speaker 1: had a little reunion up in London, he went to
- 7:05Speaker 1: watch Fulham play Brentford and I've got me facts right
- 7:08Speaker 1: now because he had to get the last train home.
- 7:11Speaker 1: He left the game on eighty nine minutes and Brentford
- 7:15Speaker 1: were winning one meal. They's got two goals in the
- 7:19Speaker 1: ninety second and the ninety seventh minute and the full
- 7:23Speaker 1: of one two one, so we're talking about music, and
- 7:26Speaker 1: I said, what's the runout song? And he came back
- 7:28Speaker 1: straight away Palladio escala always by someone else, but it's
- 7:32Speaker 1: the same song. So then he told me he backed
- 7:34Speaker 1: it up with a London calling and Andy Williams. So
- 7:37Speaker 1: I thought, oh, we've got to test on Saturday. So
- 7:41Speaker 1: well you were you got the gist of it. Anyway,
- 7:43Speaker 1: we're done to you. Okay, Well that was that was good. Yeah,
- 7:48Speaker 1: And three different totally track, totally random tracks for me
- 7:51Speaker 1: that well, don't get played on Academy of M. I've
- 7:54Speaker 1: done if they get played on Classic FM.
- 7:57Speaker 4: No, no, that's very true. Be any run out of
- 8:01Speaker 4: songs next week because you're not here mate.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Well, if you get a football and gist and you
- 8:06Speaker 1: perhaps you'd better test them.
- 8:07Speaker 2: You know, that's a good idea. I might.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I might send one in an email from the beach
- 8:13Speaker 1: on side pers.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Just sitting down there beer in this. Okay, I'm going
- 8:20Speaker 4: to stick you on another tune. We'll be got on
- 8:23Speaker 4: the next time. We've got kings on what waste a
- 8:26Speaker 4: moment and then after that one we'll be having a
- 8:29Speaker 4: look at the Rugby England and Folkston. This is kings
- 8:35Speaker 4: Leon and waste a moment
