- 3:36Carter. Today's story starts in Nick's office. Says Nick and Patsy are interviewing
- 3:42a stranger, a young man who has just called to consult Nick. How
- 3:45did you happen to come here? Well, I ask a policeman where I
- 3:47could find a good detective, and he gave me your name. Does you
- 3:50tell us what's bothering you? Well? Three mornings ago I woke up in
- 3:53a strange bed in a strange apartment until the young lady whose apartment it was
- 3:58told me I had no idea where I was. Judge, I'd rather bandage
- 4:00around your head. You must have had an accident. Was that before or
- 4:03after you woke up in this strange bed? It must have been before.
- 4:06I don't remember anything about it. The girl whose apartment it was told me
- 4:11she found me on the steps of her apartment house last Friday night or other
- 4:15Saturday morning, as she returned from a party where she saw I was injured.
- 4:17So she managed to get me up to her place and called her doctor.
- 4:21Well, he said my injury wasn't serious, but I had to be
- 4:24quiet for a few days. So she let me stay there for the night.
- 4:27But the next morning, even though I was able to answer her questions,
- 4:30I knew nothing about myself. I had to tell her something, so
- 4:33I invented a name, and I told her some story about being from out
- 4:38of town, having had a bad fall, and so on. What name
- 4:40did you give it? John Powell? That name doesn't mean anything to you.
- 4:43No, I just picked it out of the air. What makes you
- 4:45think you may be a criminal? This look good, grief and it cook
- 4:48At all that money? Yes, there's over ten thousand dollars there, And
- 4:53look at this well diamond levlire one like that, even though it's pretty old
- 4:58fashioned, must be worth at least five or six thousand. And those diamond
- 5:00eardrops are pretty special too. Did you find anything in your pockets that might
- 5:04help you establish your identity? No? The suit I was wearing the night
- 5:08she found it was bloodstained. So I bought this suit and hat this morning
- 5:12at a small store I passed. I left the other suit at the cleaners,
- 5:15but I went over thoroughly. First, all I found was this calling
- 5:18god, Warren McAllister. No address or anything, just mean anything to you,
- 5:24not a thing. I looked in the telephone book and found there is
- 5:27a Warren McCallister on East eighty first Street. I thought maybe I was he,
- 5:30so I called up and asked for him. But whoever answered said mister
- 5:34McAllister was just leaving for the country and couldn't come to the phone. What
- 5:38do you want me to do? Find out who I am if you can,
- 5:41and especially find out whether or not I'm a criminal? Come on,
- 5:45Nick, we've got nothing better to do. Why don't you help him out?
- 5:48All right? First, what's the girl's name and address? Her name
- 5:53is Lara David. She lives at seventy six eighty four Windsor Road. And
- 5:57what about the doctor, Well, Miss David called him doctor Boom and that's
- 6:00all I know about him. And where'd you leave your other suit? To
- 6:01be clean? Here's the claim check for ed. I'm sure he won't find
- 6:05anything. You never can tell where are you going to be? I don't
- 6:09know that. I'll let you know as soon as I get settled. Very
- 6:11well, mister Powell. Meanwhile, Patsy and I'll start by calling on miss
- 6:15Laura David, Apartment three d David. He told us the truth about this
- 6:29anyway. Oh yeah, Riley, what are you doing here? He was
- 6:35just gonna ask you that what do you know about her? About who the
- 6:40dame who rents this apartment? Wise, guys, you never even heard of
- 6:43her until half an hour ago, lieutenant were you doing? See? You
- 6:46just jumped him to pass the time of day? I said, we came
- 6:48to see her about a client of hour. Ook. Hey, Riley,
- 6:50what's this all about? And why are you here? Right now? I
- 6:54am asking the questions. What's the name of this client of yours? He
- 6:57told us his name was John Powell. What did he want you to do
- 7:00for him? He wanted us to find out who he is. He has
- 7:02amnesia from a thought on the head. So that's what that move meant?
- 7:05What not's that rally? We found it on the table here one hundred dollars
- 7:09Bill pion to it. Yea, it is day, Miss David. Thanks
- 7:14for all you've done and impose in your hospitality no longer. Please reimburse both
- 7:18the doctor and yourself for an expense you've been put to on my account.
- 7:23Waitfully, John Howell, I doesn't say much the David girl and tell us
- 7:28what it means once we start working on her. Is she in the jug?
- 7:31A cup on the bead? Found her trying to hide a gun in
- 7:33a nice canon a way to work this morning? He brought her and the
- 7:36gun down the headquarters. She claims she found it on his steps last Friday
- 7:41night and was trying to get rid of it. Maybe she's telling the truth,
- 7:44Riley, People do that you know anything wrong with the gun plenty?
- 7:48In the first place, it was a Swedish gun a boat for his thirty
- 7:50two caliber. Now you just don't find them on your doorstep. In the
- 7:55second place, we checked it and found it was the gun used to knock
- 7:58off a stiff who was killed near the water front last Friday night. So
- 8:03so you better kick in with what you know about this so called client who
- 8:07yourse. Well, I'll be glad to that you talk with him, Raley,
- 8:09But I don't know where to find him. But the love you got
- 8:13a client and you don't know where to find him. Just as soon as
- 8:15he gets in touch with us, we'll let you know. In the meantime,
- 8:18how about letting us talk to the David girl. Oh sure, anything
- 8:22I can do for you, mister Carton will be a pleasure, even though
- 8:24you won't do nothing for me. Come on, well, Patsy, we
- 8:41certainly didn't get much out of that David girl. No, she just told
- 8:43us the same thing she told Rally. Yes, please, we want to
- 8:48see the suit this check calls for Oh yes, sure, just a minute,
- 8:52I'll get it for you. I ain't changed it out yet. I
- 8:56knew that step On it was blood. Shaddy had an accident. If it
- 9:01is, thanks, h oh, pocket's all empty, just as he said
- 9:11they were, no labels it. Oh well, here, Patsy, a
- 9:18hole right through pocket lining cloth and everything smells the powder to me. Yes,
- 9:24if I had the gun right through the pocket, didn't have time to
- 9:26draw it. Is this part of the lining of the jacket or is it
- 9:30something in the lining? Let me see. It feels like something in the
- 9:33lining. I should say, yes, there's a hole in the pocket.
- 9:37Here the second Ah, here it is, But what is it? Nick?
- 9:43It's one of these small labels you paste on your baggage showing the ship
- 9:48you sail down. This one came from the Ebercrombie. Does that help it?
- 9:52May? We'll find out later. Well, that's all we can do
- 9:54here. Now, let's call on mister McAllister here. Lieutenant is expecting you're
- 10:11in the library, Nick, find out. Fascinating what took you so long?
- 10:16Nick? Did you get a flat tire? Maybe? Thanks for the
- 10:18welcome rally? What's going on here? Is? If you didn't know?
- 10:22But I don't, Well, Riley, what is it? Oh? Is
- 10:26that McAllister? Yes, it's McAllister, and Denn's a door nail. And
- 10:31don't tell me you don't know nothing about it because I wouldn't believe it.
- 10:39Well, so McAllister is dead too. How is this going to affect Nick's
- 10:43efforts to learn who John Powell really is? Or does John Powell know more
- 10:48about this? And he's told Nick? We'll see in just a moment.
- 10:52Folks have a habit of forgetting to use the door mat, whether they come
- 10:56home through winter snow, in spring rain or from summertime. Swimming rules and
- 11:00the water they track in certainly spoils the appearance of shining freshly cleaned floors.

- 12:01all three great Linax Home Bright News and kem Tone, the Miracle wall finish
- 12:07at hardware paint and department stores everywhere. And now back to our story.
- 12:18We left Nick and Patsy facing an angry Lieutenant Raleigh, who was accusing them
- 12:22of knowing more about the murder of mister McAllister than they pretended. Yes,
- 12:24it's McAllister, and did as adore Neil, And don't tell me you don't
- 12:28know nothing about it, because I wouldn't believe it. But we doubt,
- 12:31Lieutenant Army. Of course we don't now what happened, Riley. He was
- 12:35just about to learn the details when you drove up, so we waited for
- 12:37you to join us. Thank you, Riley. I knew I could count
- 12:39on you to do the right thing. Why watch your blood pressure, Lieutenant,
- 12:43I ought to throw you both in the click for ninety nine years.
- 12:46All right, all right, now, how about finding out what happened to
- 12:48McAllister? All right? All right now, you you chauffeur, Yes,
- 12:54sir, what's your name? Barry? Sir? All right, Barry,
- 12:56tell us what you know about this, and don't leave nothing out. Well,
- 13:00I was driving mister McAllister home from the bank, and I stopped in
- 13:03front of the house, same as always. I was just going to get
- 13:05out and open the door. For him. When a man came up to
- 13:07me with a gun in his hand. He told me to keep my hands
- 13:11on the wheel and it look straight ahead, not to pay any attention to
- 13:15what I heard. You go on? What happened? Then? Well?
- 13:18I heard the car door open behind me. Mister McAllister started to say something,
- 13:22and then I heard a shot. Then I heard a man say,
- 13:26come on, Mike, and they ran up the street. I turned around
- 13:28saw mister McAllister slump down in the back seat and two men running toward a
- 13:33car. Where was the other car in the middle of the block on the
- 13:35other side of the street. The men got in and it drove off.
- 13:39You got any idea who the men were what it was after? No,
- 13:41sir, all right, Berry, it's off for you for now, but
- 13:46don't go away. We may watch you again in a few minutes. Oh,
- 13:48Charlot Tenant a stick around now you what's your name? Well, what
- 13:52do you know about this? The name is Stu the Lieutenant. I'm I
- 13:56was mister Mcallis's butler. Stover. Did a man named John Powell call here
- 14:03today? Yes he did, just as mister McAllister was leaving, Sir,
- 14:07But mister McAllister said he didn't know anyone by that name, so he didn't
- 14:11speak to him. Did you recognize the voice? And no, sir,
- 14:15But I'm almost sure it was the same person who called about an hour ago
- 14:18and asked if mister McAllister had returned it. I told him I expected him
- 14:22in about half an hour. I asked him his names here, but he
- 14:26hung up. So, mister, Detective Carter, this guy Powell didn't just
- 14:30happen to call you two up and tell you he knocked off this guy too,
- 14:33now, did he? He couldn't have called us, Lieutenant, We
- 14:35haven't been back to the office since we left you. Then, how did
- 14:37you happen to show up here just when you did that? We found McAllister's
- 14:39card and Powell's wallet. That's right, Lieutenant Al asked us to say if
- 14:43Mcallison knew anything about him, who he might really be. I'd sure like
- 14:48to get a look at this client of yours. He seems to have a
- 14:50finger in every murder that goes on around here. You wouldn't let me just
- 14:54take a little pea cat and would you just for the sake of our long
- 14:58and lovely friendship. Finally, I mean it. I haven't say why what's
- 15:01going mc? I told that guy to stick around here. He'll be right
- 15:05back, sir. He's just taking the car round to the garage on the
- 15:07next avenue, the same as he always does when it's not being used,
- 15:11and we gotta go over that car for a fingerprints. As soon as my
- 15:13men get here, cal Goo get him. I'll even back here before I
- 15:16can say, John ruck, Michael right scover. What do you know about
- 15:22that chauffeur Barry? I not much, sir. He came to work here
- 15:26about three months ago, as mister McAllister hired him himself. Did you see
- 15:31any part of what happened when mister McAllister was shut just the ind sir.
- 15:35I heard the car drive up and I went to open the door. Just
- 15:39as I did, I heard a shot and saw the two men start toward
- 15:41the other car, and Barry was sitting in the front seat the way He
- 15:46said, yes, sir, he was sitting there with his hands on the
- 15:48wheel. As soon as the men started running, he called me and I
- 15:52went to see how badly mister McAllister was hurt. I see by the waist
- 15:56over. Do you happy to know whether the chauffeur Barry Lives. I think
- 16:00he has a room over in the next avenue, sir, at number seven
- 16:03six one two. I believe it is. It's over a bakery. Thank
- 16:07you well, Patty. I think that's all for us here. Where do
- 16:11you Nannik? I think we'll take a trip down to the waterfront. I
- 16:14want to call on the purser of the Abercrombie. Did you say the Ebber
- 16:18Crombie, sir? Why? Yes? Why it's probably only a coincidencer,
- 16:22But mister McAllister was very much worried last Friday night because of men he was
- 16:26expecting on the Ebber Crombie failed to show up. That's so who was this
- 16:33shepherd didn't show up? I don't know, sir. And mister McAllister was
- 16:36looking forward to seeing him. He was bringing him something important. I believe
- 16:41he sent his car down to the pier to meet him, but very reported
- 16:44that he wasn't on the boat. Why is mister McAllister interested in anything besides
- 16:48his bank? Oh yes, sir. He was the head of several committees
- 16:51which were acting against enemy propaganda in this country. Combatting enemy propaganda, huh
- 16:56ah, This thing is beginning to make sense, Patsy. Now I'm more
- 17:00anxious than ever to talk to the purser of the Abercrombie. Will you tell
- 17:14the purser who I'd like to see him? Please? This doesn't look like
- 17:15an American ship, Nick, Even though it is named the Abercrombie, isn't,
- 17:19Patsy. It was originally the Prince knot a d any special. I
- 17:23was taken over by the English when Hitler rolled over Denmark, now sails for
- 17:26Sweden. I believe you think that the label we found in John Powell's clothes
- 17:30may mean that he came in on this bout. I hope so, Patsy.
- 17:33And that's another thing makes me think that may be true. The gun
- 17:36that miss David found, the one that Powell must have dropped on the steps
- 17:37of her apartment house, was a Swedish gun. Remember, yes, a
- 17:41Beauforst thirty two. Mister Carter, you want to talk to me? Yes?
- 17:45Yes, was there a passenger on your boat this last trip by the
- 17:48name of John Powell, Jan Powell? And no, we have only three
- 17:53young gentlemen traveling alone. I remember well, one Swedish American, mister Lars
- 18:00Joust from from Michigan one Norwegian mister Harveson and the young South American mister Richard
- 18:07Vallen. Richard Wallen done so much like Colinx? You are from the police.
- 18:12Maybe, well, yes, in a way? Why then I think
- 18:18maybe this mister Vallen could be the one you are looking for. We had
- 18:22trouble with him on the way. What kind of trouble, Oh, it
- 18:26was not serious, just his room steward report to me that he was armed,
- 18:32that he had seen pistol on his dresser. So I call on him
- 18:36and ask him to give me pistol for the trip. It is les,
- 18:41you know, yes, I understand, But he did not want to give
- 18:44it to me. He talked about it for a long time. Then at
- 18:48last he gave it to me and I put it in safe then we dark
- 18:52I give it back to him. Very interesting. Did you notice the make
- 18:56of it? Oh? Yes it was, Bofer started to calibove thirty two.
- 19:00Could you describe this Richard Vallin for me? Hey? He was young
- 19:03man, slender, good looking, a blonde hair, about my size.
- 19:10That's pawel all right, nick, Oh pursua. Did you happen to notice
- 19:12of a car met him at the dock. But yes, when he leaves
- 19:15the boat, he get into big black limousine. They start away, and
- 19:19then how about the block from the dock the car stop again. It was
- 19:25too dark to see what was happening. I think maybe there was trouble with
- 19:29the engine because I hear a backfire and then the car go on again.
- 19:33But that wy same place where police find dead man next morning. Nick.
- 19:38It all adds up, doesn't it. Yes, Patsy, I think it
- 19:41does well. Thanks for your trouble, Pressure, It's no trouble, thank
- 19:45you, Patsy. I think we'll have a look at this room where mister
- 19:48McAllister's chauffeur lives. Do you expect to find Barry here, Nick, I'd
- 20:00rather hope not. I'd like to get a look at his room without his
- 20:03knowing it. Are you looking for someone? Yes, we have an appointment
- 20:07with the barrier, mister Mcallis's chauffeur. He told us to come here and
- 20:11wait for him. Said you'd unlock his door so we could wait inside.
- 20:14I don't unlock no rumor's door for no strangers. Oh yes, you do
- 20:18see this, Oh sure, sure, sure, I'll open it for you.
- 20:22You don't have to act like that about it, though. Go ahead,
- 20:23open up, get on this floor. Yeah, right over here here
- 20:30you are. Hurry up? Will you sit down inside here where I can
- 20:33see you? Okay, I said, all right, bed to shut the
- 20:37Doorkay, now let's see what we can find here. Hey, look,
- 20:52hurry up, will you. I got work to do. I can't sit
- 20:55here forever. You'll sit there till we finish the search. In this little
- 21:00can, I can't open it, hey, Petsy, let me have that.
- 21:03Yes, as the cover is sound pretty tight. But that's movie film,
- 21:08isn't it? Certainly is. Let's see. Oh I look at that?
- 21:15Well, what is it? Nig? Looks like pictures of German atrocities
- 21:18and destruction in some of the conquered countries. Oh, these are brutal.
- 21:22What did you find this, Petsy? In the bottom drawer, wrapped up
- 21:25in some long underwear. There's a briefcase there too, briefcase. I'll see
- 21:29it here it is, Yes, that's it all right, Come on,
- 21:36Patsy, but Nick, no time to lose. We're gonna take this stuff
- 21:37down to Riley. If you turned over to the FBI, they'll be very
- 21:41happy to get it. Maybe they would but they ain't gonna now, Carter,
- 21:44take a look at this gun of mine, and then hand over the
- 21:45film and the briefcase. I'll take care of them myself. Very I'd like
- 21:52to make a deal with you. Yeah, what kind of a deal I
- 21:55would? Excuse me? Do you mind if I get my handkerchief? Never
- 22:00mind the funny business, give me the stuff you found here? Very well?
- 22:03Here, may I get my hairdkerchief? All right? But I'm watching
- 22:11you, so don't try anything. I don't carry any guns in my breast
- 22:15pocket. I just want my handkerchief. Hey, what was that? Why
- 22:23you you? Oh? All right, Patty, you can stop pulling your
- 22:34breath. Now, we get out of your fast find a cop and bring
- 22:37him back quick, right, Nick, Jim. I'm glad I realized what
- 22:40you were doing in time, so I didn't get knocked out too. A
- 22:42little flask of quick acting knockout gas comes in handy sometimes. Now, my
- 22:47unconscious friend, I'll just collect the film and the briefcase and turn them over
- 22:51to Riley to be forwarded to the FBI. They'll be glad to get evidence
- 22:53like this. To Berry was only working for McAllister so he could keep an
- 23:08eye on him. Yes, Rally. McAllister was very active and combatting enemy
- 23:11propaganda, and Barry was on the other side. I believe that as soon
- 23:15as he Barry found out the names of the men McAllister was working with,
- 23:19he had him killed. Well with the pictures another date on that briefcase,
- 23:23the FBI should be able to make short work of the whole crew. H
- 23:29Lieutenant Rarey homicide speaking who Shoe Shoe Centerbraton something interesting Rally could be well,
- 23:37Shultz, I was on mcbeachen night when the big car goes around the corner
- 23:40fast and the guy falls out plans with these head up against one of the
- 23:44l pillars, out cold. I got an ambulance and took him to the
- 23:47hospital. Well, I found these things only, Lieutenant, That's why I
- 23:51come direct to you. Nick Howl's lavalier and eardrops. Yes, and that's
- 23:56McAllister's card and all the money. You mean that guy could be John Powells
- 24:00and they could be Rally. So he wasn't no crooked Well, this show
- 24:03looks like it. I'm sure he wasn't. Right. I am going to
- 24:06the hospital and have a look at that guy. You want to come right
- 24:10you are. Grab your hats to Patsy. Let's get going. I was
- 24:22wonderful neck. When you're ride with the police department, you don't have to
- 24:26watch up the traffic or red line or anything that's slayer safe gads or if
- 24:30you don't use your own car, that's not Lieutenant Riley, Headquarters. Lieutenant
- 24:34that calls for me, hold everything shoots shows. This is Lieutenant Randy.
- 24:40Go ahead. We just got a call from the guy we took to the
- 24:44hospital last night. Lieutenant. He says he saw a car used by McAllister's
- 24:48killers. Says car licenses k X five six NASH seven D. I checked
- 24:56that number and the belongs to Gussie line. He length chus send out some
- 25:00minute once and pick up Cushy and his gang and bring him in and hold
- 25:03them for question and get going fast. That's all right, Lieutenant, take
- 25:07care of him fast enough. Well, step on it, race. What's
- 25:11holding your back? So, Paul, you actually saw McAllister killed last night?
- 25:22Y as plain as I see you now. I was waiting for him
- 25:26to come home in hopes that he could identify me. When the killers started
- 25:30off, I jumped on the rear bumper of their car, but when they
- 25:32went around the corner, I got thrown off hit something. I guess you
- 25:36hit your head and a nail pillar. Best here in the world for amnesia
- 25:40practically never fails. Mister Valen Valin, how do you know my name?
- 25:45I only know it myself. A few minutes ago. We find out things.
- 25:48Now, suppose you tell us what happened when you landed off the Abercrombie
- 25:52last Friday night, That is, if you can remember now. I remember
- 25:55all right. I got off the boat and McAllister's show for met me.
- 25:57We drove a block or so from the doc and he stopped. Two men
- 26:02opened the car door and started to get in. I saw they had gun,
- 26:04so I fired at one of them. Then something hit me on the
- 26:07head, and that's the last I know. Now, look here, Powell
- 26:11or Vallin or whatever your name is. Won't you get all that money we've
- 26:15found on you? Them sparkless? They don't look honest to me. The
- 26:18jewels belonged to my great aunt Miriam. I took them across to have them
- 26:22recut in Amsterdam. Then the Germans took Amsterdam, so I had to bring
- 26:26them back. The money belonged to a refugee I met who asked me to
- 26:30deposit to my account until he could get over here. But I still don't
- 26:33see why those men tried to hold me up. Nobody knew I had the
- 26:37jewels with me. Wasn't the jewels they wanted, Vallain, It was the
- 26:41role of film on the envelope of documents you had on your briefcase. Were
- 26:44they important? Where did you get them? Well, a friend of my
- 26:48father's gave them to me, asked me to give them to mister mc allister
- 26:51when I got over here. But what were they, mister Connor? The
- 26:53film showed, not se atrocities and conquered countries, the documents for pictures,
- 26:57descriptions and names of active workers and anti American activities here in this country.
- 27:03McAllister's show for Barry was one of the head workers. When you prevented those
- 27:07men from getting what they wanted, Barry dumped you out of the car and
- 27:10took the film and the papers to his room to hold mto legal dispos of
- 27:12them safely. But we got there first. Well, lieutenant, are you
- 27:15satisfied that mister Powell, or I should say, mister Vallen, is innocent?
- 27:22H Come on Raley. Cheer up. You've got the film and the
- 27:26anti American data, You've got McAllister's murderers, and you're going to get all
- 27:29the credit for solving the case. What more do you want? In just

- 29:07himself. Well, Nick, how about a peek into next week's story?
- 29:11Got a few hints for us Our next week's story, Ken is about one
- 29:14of the wildest and most exciting nights Patsy and I ever spent. I should
- 29:18say it was what happened, Nick, Four ritual tories during the Revolution buried
- 29:22all their valuables in a small rocky island. Their heirs had found a clue
- 29:26to the burial place of the treasure and called me in to solve the clue.
- 29:29It was in code, but they didn't figure on the one man who
- 29:32wanted it all for himself and who was willing to kill to be sure he
- 29:34got it. What do you call a story, Nick, It's called four
- 29:37Rings of Death or the Mystery of the Tory Island Murders. I hope he'll
- 29:41be with us next week. So long for now, So long to all
- 29:45of you, see you soon, and so long to both of you,
- 29:47Nick and Patsy. We'll be here waiting for you next week. Next week.
- 30:06At the same time, listen to another curious experience of Nick Carter Master
- 30:10Detective entitled for Range of Death for Nick Carter and the Mystery of the Tory
- 30:18Island Murders. Nick Carter Master Detective is featured in Street and Smith magazines.
- 30:27Lawn Clark is starred as Nick, with Helen Chot as Patsy. Original music
- 30:32is played by Lou White, and the programs are written and directed by Jack
- 30:36McGregor. Nick Carter Master Detective is presented at this time and over these same
- 30:41stations each week by the three great Linax Home Bright News, Linux Clear Gloss
- 30:47Varnish, Linux Cream Polish and Linax Self Polishing Wax created by ACME America's great
- 30:53producer of ACME Fine Quality Paints. This is Ken Powell speaking for the thousands
- 30:59of Linux dealers all over America and saying, so long until next week.
- 31:03This is mutual welcome back. Sometimes I think Nick Carter carries around more weapons
- 31:30and handy items than Batman and without even the benefit of a utility belt.
- 31:34Overall, this is a great story. Definitely having writing this stuff during World
- 31:41War Two is always a pretty handy thing, just because there are a variety
- 31:47of different villains that can fit into a lot of pieces that you generally wouldn't
- 31:52see in either post war or pre war stories. And that does lead into
- 31:56a pretty good opportunity to incur to check out the war Great Detectives dot net
- 32:04slash the War for great World War two stories, we turned to some listener
- 32:10comments and feedback. Now Lone Wolf says, great app best money I ever
- 32:15spent love old time radio and detectives. Ken writ's a shout out from Toronto,
- 32:22Canada. Your show is great. You do a wonderful job as hosts.
- 32:27I listen to you every day. Thank you so much. Who knew
- 32:29the iPad would be used for radio programs my age? Well, thanks so
- 32:35much. And then we did have a comment on Homicide o'caine, which we
- 32:38only had one episode from episode twelve twenty. I'm addicted to this comes from
- 32:45Daniel. I'm addicted to the Greatest Detectives. Wear my headphones to bed every
- 32:49night and listen to one or two episodes. As a retired cop, I
- 32:52wish that the leads had developed that quick and easy when I was a commander
- 32:57of the detective Bureau. Some of the episode remind me of past cases.
- 33:00Keep up the good work and the on the point commentaries. Thank you very
- 33:07much on that, Daniel. I actually have a friend who's police officer here
- 33:13in the Treasure Valley area, and he said that sometimes media presentations, obviously
- 33:22not thinking of old time radio, but on television as well, where he's
- 33:29been before Grand jurys and they've asked him about the results of test, you
- 33:32know, the type of thing where you get instantaneous results if you're watching it
- 33:37on TV. But he had to inform them very gently that they would not
- 33:43actually have the results of said tests back for another month. I definitely think
- 33:47that there are many police officers who would love to be able to wrap up
- 33:52their cases in half an hour to an hour. That's the magic of drama.
- 33:58And then we have a comment from my tale. Thank you for your
- 34:00show. I truly enjoy it. It is my relaxation, my escape from
- 34:05the day. Well, I'm so glad to be able to assist and provide
- 34:09that for you that will actually do it for today. We will be back
- 34:15tomorrow with Part five of the Phantom Chase Matter and an episode of Manhunt,
- 34:20and then join us back here next Thursday for another episode of Nick Carter.
- 34:24In the meantime, I send your comments to Box thirteen at Great Detectives dot
- 34:29net, follow us on Twitter Radio Detectives, and become one of our friends
