- Liam: What's up? Fourth and T podcast. It is the week for preview show hosted by myself, Liam, and my fellow host, Jamie. How you doing, mate? 4th&Tea: I'm okay. Obviously we're still recovering from illnesses. Liam: I actually think I'm on the downturn. I think I'm on the downturn, mate. 4th&Tea: I feel it, I'm nursing myself with some home remedies. Liam: Nice. 4th&Tea: with with the name with guy called johnny walker and so Liam: nice. 4th&Tea: he's he's giving me a good helping hand but Liam: N no witchcraft then, no witchcraft. 4th&Tea: no witchcraft there but apart from that good new week of NFL football we can forget panthers losing to the browns we can forget your bux losing your seahawks losing it's a fresh new week and should be nice and positive yeah Liam: Should be no so positive. I mean, one little thing. It's been a crazy season, I'm actually quite up for it. Like how it's been going so far, I am up for the the upheaval, the ripping up the narrative. Like, and this is what this is why we love the NFL, right? You you anybody can actually beat anybody. 4th&Tea: yeah week four we've got no idea who's good is bad yet well we Liam: I mean our s 4th&Tea: know who's good we know who's really bad but we don't know who's gonna probably make the playoffs here or there with their divisions aside from the odd couple Liam: Exactly. And I mean, if you look at our predictions, they are looking shocking. But because of the upheaval, I'm keeping the Russell Wilson jersey up on the wall for the video because I've got nothing else noteworthy in the league currently to pull out of the draw. I'm gonna have to get a new jersey, mate. 4th&Tea: Just do what I do, just have a photo of just an NFL ball with no branding on it so it's fun to see it feel a lot better. Liam: Jamie loves the product even without the badge. There we go. Awesome. 4th&Tea: product placement. Liam: So, this is our landmark game preview show. It's one of our two weekly podcasts, and we'll say this every time until we're not new, we're gonna do the rundown. On the preview show, we do Monday night football recap. We then do a quick fire. Preview of all of this weekend's games. We then do a wild take of the week each, which we're accountable for in the review show. We then pick players to avoid in fantasy. Then we go on to a couple of little novel sections. We do a forkum where we pick another team to add to the pile every week who are guaranteed not gonna make the playoffs. We'll cover who we've got in there already. And then we finally end with our survivor pick of the week. So, without further ado, Jamie, Monday night football, let's get into it. 4th&Tea: Yeah, well, wow. I mean, we did, I think, I think we might both have to be, well, especially me. Hold my hands up, so Fairplay, Case, Keenum. I've always thought he was a brilliant quarterback. Should be, the league should be starting in the league, let alone being a... Liam: V P Case Keenum. 4th&Tea: could be envy but what what game by and so that there's one twenty seven seven case kingdom twenty four thirty four two hundred and almost twenty fifty are two passing touchdowns escaped every sack possible think in sector it clean on the game and here well case came off as a disaster couple times already today but also from a number of other case came down as more positive options and drake made us on the season So that is shameful from drank my firing shots as much as I can. Liam: Yeah. And firing shot and you are happy as a pig in mud about this Drake A business. You love a downfall. 4th&Tea: I do quite enjoy it. I do enjoy it. I do, I do, but as I made a earlier, you know, they've got a backup called Tom, who's going to apparently take them to a dynasty. Liam: Drake May. Yeah, they love a they love a Tom a Tom quarterback, don't they? Tommy Cutlitz, Tommy DeVito, Tommy the Italian. That's it. 4th&Tea: Yeah, yeah, not sure Devito's... I don't think he's got it in him, but... Liam: The New Jersey man who's Yeah, mate, it doesn't work outside of New Jersey, I don't think. I think he should have stayed at the Giants or maybe gone to the Jets. But 4th&Tea: Yeah, I think so. But a great win. Annoyingly, I have on pretty much every fancy, I've got Jayden Hertz, I've got Saigon Barkley, and I've got Devonta Smith. Devonta Smith. So I absolutely failed. It was nice though, seeing Andy Dalton back on the field as well. One pass attempt, one interception. It was flashbacks to watching him in the Panthers jersey. it was nice to see the old man out there. The ginger, the red rifle, rifling an interception. Liam: The red the red rifle, you know. So, couple of quick notes from me. Well done, Chicago. They're running up the score as much as they can. Interesting to do a recap in a few weeks on this highest scoring team of all time and where they're at with that. Don't think they're on track, but we'll see. On the Eagles, though, two things. As don't fact check me. But as far as I understand, it is the first time that Nick Siriani has punted on a fourth and one since he's been head coach. Which is a great yeah. It's Jamie, it's true. I promise you. Pinky promise. What could be good? What 4th&Tea: That's a great stat, feel that's true. It's true, what a great stat that is that you just come up with. Liam: I wouldn't lie. The other one, they've they might have to look at this as a rule change. You cannot have an illegal hit on a quarterback on that first drive of the Eagles. On the goal line to then have him in the tent, then bring in your backup while Saquon's off as well. So you know that he's got to pass it. And all of a sudden, miraculously, he's intercepted. There's no timeout, there's no, there's not much penalty. It's actually quite wild, right? Like, just pay a player to go punch a quarterback in the head and then be like, now your backup's got to throw a pass. Like, you could do that. And I know Jalen Hurts came out looking all crazy, the social media clip saying, call the timeout, what you're doing, and like classic Eagles style, all arguing. But the the the rules aren't protecting the team there. Yeah, they could have called timeout, but yeah. Anyway, great win by the Bears. Are the Bears rolling, Jamie? Are we are we believing the Bears this year? 4th&Tea: No, I don't believe in the bears. Liam: Jor Jory's out. Jay Jamie doesn't believe in bears. Fantastic. 4th&Tea: you Liam: Right. So on to the game previews of the week. This is what week four is gonna look like. So we're gonna start with the Thursday night football. And that's gonna be the Steelers at the Browns. the Steelers who they've got a little bit more life than I think we gave them credit for leading up to this week. They proved it last week. The Browns are also showing more fight than we gave them credit for. Denzel Boston, Concepcion, Harold Fannon. Both of these offences are actually doing something, which is which is I don't know. Definitely leading into week two. I didn't I didn't expect to be saying this leading into week four. I think the big difference for the Steelers last week, they found their running game. I don't think they had 50, even 50 yards in the first two games from their running backs, you know. And there's a lot of talk about Warren and Dowdall going into. Going into the beginning of the season. And they they showed up a little bit last week. And I think Aaron Rodgers needs that balanced game. On the other hand, the Browns have a defense. They've got Verse, they've got Graham, they've got a back end that can cover. I'm not saying it's special, but I don't know if this Tealers Steelers team is special either. So, all said, I think. Quite a tasty game in Cleveland, but wanna hear your thoughts before I give out my prediction. 4th&Tea: I think the Browns scraped through against the banged up Carolina Panthers and I mean Deshaun Watson tried to give the Panthers another chance to win the game. Or at least take it to overtime with just not running the ball or just poor time management. At home Thursday night football the crowd was loud against the Panthers and that last two minutes it was proper. They've waited a long time to actually win games. Actually do what was random about the Browns? I found out that since the original PlayStation came out 30 years ago, the Cleveland Browns are the only NFL team not to win five in a row. There you go. Liam: Fantastic. Fant I've also I also saw a stat that the Cleveland Browns it's really random this one. They haven't started a season two and Not that they've started this season two and since Nick Saban and Bill Belichick were the coaching stuff. 4th&Tea: Wow. Yeah, Liam: Wow. Okay. 4th&Tea: there's two random stats. That all being said, I am... Yeah, go on. Liam: Mm That all being said, who you I'll I'll go with me I'll go first, Jamie. It's my game that I'm talking on. I am gonna go with the Pittsburgh Steelers. 4th&Tea: I'm also going Pittsburgh Steelers. Locked. Locked in. Liam: Perfect. Locked up. Colts at the Commanders in the very early window in London. like I mentioned at the end of the last pod, I don't think anyone thought that with the two teams coming into this game were going to be one and two. And whoever comes away from this London game being at a 50% win rate, looking like they've got some sort of a fighting chance. The commanders have got a bit of a conundrum. They're taking Jaden Daniels and his training. But Marcus Mariota obviously just put up that. I'm not going to say amazing performance, but competent to the point of winning performance against the Super Bowl winning. Seattle Seahawks. That is something to consider. I'm not sure who's going to start. On the Colts side, they showed some fight. They beat a division rival. They got a bit of running game going. They've got the passing game going. They got Keelan Allen involved. You know, good fantasy pickup for the week. In my humble opinion. I think that this is going to be. In London, it's always funny. They're actually training down the road for me at the Grove. Big up the Grove. Is that that sounds like Grand Theft Auto, you remember the Grove Street boys? anyway, I'm gonna go with the Colts beating the commanders because I can't see Mariota being a surprise package enough for the Colts who don't have any defense, but the Colts do have A bit of fire and a good head coach. 4th&Tea: I am going commanders. I thought you I thought you're to join me. I think you're go commanders as well. I can't see anything from the Colts that I've seen to be like, I know they took chiefs basically all the way, but every dog has their day. And I think that was probably theirs and they still lost. So I think the commanders have just got enough and I think they showed against the greatest defensive of any of Hell history. You know, they slapped, Liam: And it 4th&Tea: they slapped the hawks. Liam: Yeah, you know what? I think I just don't think that Mariota's gonna be able to they he's put a bit more film down now and they've got time to prepare. And it's a funny game in the London window. These Americans they don't like the travel. However, again 4th&Tea: Mariotta had about 10 years of film for the Seahawks to look at. Liam: Nah, they that was complacency. Let's be real. That is like a punch in the nuts, and you don't know what just happened. Colts, however, they've had a mad game with the Chiefs, took them all away, and then now they just beat the Texans, who are a good defense. They've shown that they can actually move and score. However, they've got there, don't know how convincing it is, but they've just done it on two good defenses. So, anyway, we're split on that one. I'm going with the Colts. You'll go with the commanders. Cool. On to the next one. the Titans at the Ravens. 4th&Tea: This could be the quickest preview ever for us. Ravens at home, 2-1. They're about to be 3-1. Titans lost a way to a banged up, put together Giants with James Winston throwing under, what, way under 200 yards. Running game wasn't efficient either for the Giants. They still found a way to win, just on field goals. So I'm going Ravens to... This could be a big score, but... They're gonna be, they're gonna smash them. Liam: Rough and tumble ravens. Let's go. Jam. For the tea. And Jamie, 4th&Tea: Our fourth and team too. You know, I didn't back them last week. They proved me wrong. I'll back them this week. Liam: you stepped away from the faith and look what happened. 4th&Tea: I know, I'm sorry. Liam: Mate, King Derek. running. Mate, running downhill all day on his old team. Bosh. You don't want that. So I'm gonna again, not much to say. Ravens look good. I know the Cowboys could have managed a clock better. Ravens look good. They they do look good. And I'm locking up the Ravens with you, Jamie. We're locked. it's the Jaguars at the Cincinnati Bengals. great game. Both teams, two and one, both had a good schedule. I think the Bengals started a lot better than they have in a lot of seasons. However, that last week, division match against the Steelers. I don't know. I think the Steelers have lost a lot of their games against them recently and they really wanted that win. So division games can go, you know, they're competitive games no matter what. So whatever. I think the Bengals have been good. The defence couldn't bail them out this time. Still think they're good. The Jaguars, however, I think are looking so good. I'm loving every part of that running game. Horse boy Trevor Lawrence running it. I just want to see that man gallop. I love the memes. I love everything about him. I love the passing game. Travis Hunter's getting interceptions now. You know, the Jets still haven't got an interception since he's been in the league. We're not going to talk about that. However. Jacksonville just look they look so good and the most well-rounded team to me. Solid, solid, solid. I think I want all bits of fantasy on both sides, to be honest. Except for maybe I think the Jags running game might struggle a little bit more than it has been, but they're gonna be able to pass on the Bengals. So I'm gonna pick the Jags to pip the Bengals away. 4th&Tea: I've gone the same. I've gone Jags to win as well. Pretty much what you said, think Trevor Lawrence is going have a really good game. think the Bengals' secondary isn't up to scratch and I think Trevor Lawrence is have a good one. Along with Jacobi Myers as well. yeah, back the Jags on the road to Cincinnati. Liam: Nice. And Beijing Tootin. He was one of the big risks of fantasy, I think. The one of the question marks like is Christian Regas gonna take up a lot of the time in the backfield? And turns out no, Beijil Tutin's the man. the Cowboys at the Texans. 4th&Tea: I like this, this is a good one I think. A 1 and 2 come against a 0 and 3, who would thought that start of season. Every single time obviously Texans bottom of the AFC South looking dreadful. They've got nothing on offense, lots of injuries, CJ Stroud has not really been protected that well again despite the investment. Defensively they don't look the same as they did last season, we discussed it in the last show as well but... They don't get to the quarterback as quickly as possible. think Dak, Dak being Dak, his weapons that he's got. I can't see anything but a Dallas Cowboys win on the road in Houston. It should be a one though. It's a nice red zone game to watch. think it could be a Dallas highscorer in 30 pluser again. Liam: Lock it up, Jamie. I'm with ya. Little comment, I think you know, Cowboys' offense is their strength, Texans defence 4th&Tea: Yeah. Liam: is their strength. How good both those units are. Like in terms of like, are they top one, two, three, five, ten? We don't know. It's strength on strength, weakness on weakness. Interested to see. But I'm locking up the Cowboys with you. the New England Patriots. Again up in the new high mark stadium. Buffalo being treated to three non-snow matches in a row. Although I think those guys won the snow matches to see if it actually gets into that new stadium. Anyway, Drake May going up north to the new the actual New York team. And like you say, he's he's had six interceptions and a fumble this year, not looking good. not looking confident. I mean, w there's not much to say. His weapons are injured. The running game's not there. The Bills looking good though. The Bills have they've been looking good. And Josh Allen has looked like a megastar. I wonder if they've got enough. There's something that's making me nervous about this game there, Jamie. There's something making me nervous. Like The Buffalo don't think is the the Buffalo defence I don't think is a threat. And there's something making me nervous about this game. 4th&Tea: What the Drake may is not gonna fumble it not not turn the ball over more than three times or He do it he does it himself if they pay no one has to be near him Yeah, the Liam: I don't think they're going to force him to turn over the ball. He might throw interceptions, but he doesn't. Well, he does it. He did he lets that ball fall out of his hand, doesn't he? Like, the Kenny Pickett hands. I don't know. It does make me nervous. Just I think it's just the Bills putting in that performance at home against the Chargers of all teams. So I don't know. Tell you what, I'm still gonna do it. It's not even hard, actually. I'm actually gonna just lock up. I'm locking up the Bills. 4th&Tea: I'm also locking up the bills. think that this will be won if the Patriots can force... I think the difference between the Patriots and the Chargers, even though the Chargers look like they're better on offense than the Patriots, but I trust the Patriots. If they had a turnover differential of 6 to 1 or 5 to 1, I'd expect the Patriots to win that game. They might be able to know what to do to win that game. as they have done in the last year as well against weaker teams in that lovely schedule of But if Christian Gonzalez can make plays, many of them, against Josh Allen, then maybe the Patriots have got a chance. That's all I can give them. Liam: Yeah, I mean Donald Guncaid, he's been helping out this year. You know what? Love to see it. We've we've probably just been doubters. I'm not being I'm not being a hater on Josh Allen and the Bills, 'cause God, what a lovable bunch. On to the next one then. Jamie is the Jets at the Bears. 4th&Tea: I get this quite good. Do you know what? The red zone six o'clock this week is pretty good. It's going to there's a couple more good games. Well, maybe one more good game. We get to the other two. But it's an interesting one. The Jets have looked good, you know, they should have beat the Packers. They had the chance to get into the Lions defensively. They were just a little bit weak as they have been like since I mean, since anyone can remember, really. So, I don't know, do you know what? If Case Keenan plays, I mean he has to keep it unless Kay Williams, know, his little boo boo like might have healed by then. So he could be, he's probably not back, but like obviously Badgant, you know, is he gonna play? Because he's number two, he's passed concussion protocol, will he start? Obviously during the week Ben Johnson come out and said that he's our quarterback too for a reason. So then do they just Cheers, Case. Off you go. See you later if you've got another injury. Or do they start with Case Keenum at home again against the Jets? Bears, megastars. My head says bears, my heart says jets. So I'm gonna have to go with the bears. Liam: Okay. Who who do you think's gonna start at quarterback? 4th&Tea: It's gotta be Cays Kingdom. Has to be. Liam: Not the other guy. 4th&Tea: Who'd you... Liam: Bay yeah, Baja Baj. I don't it's one of those names I think doesn't translate as well when English people say it. Bay Bayan. 4th&Tea: Bajant Tyson Bajant. Yeah Liam: If Beijing starts, I think the Jets win, and I think they get their first interception of the fucking excuse my language of the last three years. no. 4th&Tea: Yep. Yeah. That's our first swing. Come on! Liam: no. Hang on, five pounds in the jar. 4th&Tea: Yes. Liam: Jamie, you're going a w you're straying from the faith. I'm going with the New York Jets. 4th&Tea: I want to. I want to. Joe that Tyson Bajor has been there since 2023. Liam: Yeah, you know what? Until I looked him up, I thought he was like a I thought he was like a rookie. Yeah. 4th&Tea: I thought he was a rookie. I've never heard of him before. Liam: And no. Do you know what I love though? I I my pick's discretionary. We're gonna go with the Jets, because I think that he Beijan's gonna start. If Keenum starts, I I I mu I morally want the Bears to win because I'm all for these old man not old man Rogers. But old man Case Keenum 4th&Tea: Yeah, not too old. Liam: he said he said he never he didn't have kids at games and his kids are there watching him win. He's f like he's what do you know what mean? He is like 4th&Tea: Yeah. Liam: he is unlocking that Blair Blair's. He is unlocking that Blair's playbook. Like he is just playing Ben Johnson's full range of skills. It's just his execution that's the question. But I'm just gonna I'm just gonna go with Gino. Just gonna go with Gino. I'm gonna go with that running game. I'm assuming the Breeze Horse playing as well. There's a lot of caveats to this, Jamie, but I'm going with the 4th&Tea: Yeah, there's a lot of caveats there. Liam: No, no, I'm gonna have to flip to the bears. Lock it up, Jamie. Lock it up. I'm sorry. I can't. I've convinced yourself otherwise. 4th&Tea: So I was just about to say Bruce Hall did not practice today. Liam: yeah, can't do it. Cannot do it. Okay. Jets. Sorry, not a Jets. Bears times two. Lock it up. Packers at my beloved Buccaneers. And what a spectacle we have on the cards here. I don't think anybody knows what's going to be happening with the Bucks offense. It's obviously not Baker. It is this rookie, undrafted free agent quarterback starting the play for Kansas. And then he's still got some of the weapons that obviously that Baker's not been using and just trying to use K Dotten. Like, let's stop that. This guy needs to come in and just throw to Igbuka. That's it. Bucky Irving's a question mark. Don't do anything else. Just throw it to Amika Egbuka and just have a day. That is all you need to think about. Green Bay Packers, they are struggling even more than the Books, who have lost their starting quarterback. They haven't got an offensive line. I mean, the they haven't got a running game look at all, and they haven't got an offensive line. Josh Jacobs obviously out of the league for the year. We're parking that bus. But 4th&Tea: Yeah. Liam: they have not been like they backed the in-house running backs. Not worked. Jordan Love has got no protection and struggling to find his wide receivers. Golden is doing turning up quite nicely in fantasy, however. Okay, cool. Actually, I think, I think Watson might be the wide receiver one. Weirdly enough, 4th&Tea: Mm-hmm, I think so. Liam: on fantasy, which is That's when fantasy doesn't translate to watching the game. So, I don't know. The Bucks defense looks quite good. So, call me crazy. Let's get this rookie chucking it to a Buka. Books defence are gonna get it done in a big spot. They're not going 0 and 4. I'm going with the Bucks. 4th&Tea: I don't know, I was also going to go Bucks but I thought you were going to Packers. When I was having a little wander around town I'm pretty sure you said it's going to be the Packers. Who are they going to be? I'm like, they're going to be the Packers obviously. So I thought you were all in on Green Bay. Liam: You did say that to me. Yeah. I can't predict that it's definitely gonna happen, Jamie, but I'm gonna back the books and I feel it with my heart. 4th&Tea: I've seen that they've just added Brett Ripen Liam: Rippin'. 4th&Tea: Rippon. Is he going to be ripping them on Sunday? Or is he going to be... Liam: He's gonna be ripping him. You know what? It's gonna if it's done to fail quickly, they're gonna really they're gonna pull him out there. He's an undrafted free agent at the end of the day. They just they really value you based on your draft pick. So 4th&Tea: I mean he had a great, he had a really good three attempts on last Sunday, he, at Jalen Daniels. Liam: I to be f to be fair, Jalen Jalen. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is it Jay is it Jalen? Is it Jalen? Jalen? J Lone? Come on, J Lone. I 4th&Tea: Jalen, yeah, Jalen, L-O-N, Jalon! Liam: love it. So Jalen J-Lone's the main. He looked good in preseason. I am seeing loads of books and social media chat going on about honestly, going on about tanking to get Archman. Which I just never thought was on the cards. But if they don't win this, if they 4th&Tea: No. You're one game off the NFC South. Come on. Liam: don't win this w game, I mean, I don't know. I don't want that. You can't give back to be fair, at least you could trade Baker with this contract potentially. Anyway, I don't want that. I like I like Baker, I promise. But I'm I'm back in 4th&Tea: Hahaha Liam: the books. 4th&Tea: Me too. Liam: lock it up, Jamie. Lock it up. On the Rams at mediocre success themselves, the Eagles. 4th&Tea: This is fascinating. the Rams and Eagles going to be 2-2 after this? Or are they going to be Rams 1-3, Eagles 3-1? This is actually quite difficult because we've not seen the best. We've probably potentially seen the worst from both teams already. We obviously saw the Rams worse against 49ers. They were unlucky probably. A decision, one decision, a correct decision away from winning in Denver. You think the Eagles are going to fight back after their embarrassing loss against the backup, not even backup, backup, backup bears. So I am going to go Rams to win this one. Nice and easy. I believe more in Matt Stafford than I do Jaylen Hurts. Probably harsh. I believe in the weapons more than Rams. I for the Rams more than the Eagles. I think the Rams, this is controversial. I think the Rams. running game is better than what Saquon's currently doing this season. Not my greatest RB1 pick so far this season in fantasy, Mr. Saquon Barkley. So Liam: Oof. 4th&Tea: I am going to back the Rams to beat the Philadelphia Eagles. Liam: Lock it up, Jamie. I'm gonna back the Rams as well. you know that pains me. he hates Rams, but he's backing them. it's the running game for me. The Rams have the a good running game. I mean, I'm gonna say it later, but I'm not really the passing game for the Rams looks solid. Obviously, Puka, I'm not sure what's going on there. So I just don't know what this Eagles team is. After losing that game as well to the Bears in the way that they did, I like it's not like this rumbling ball that isn't it's that's not gonna stop. It's that it's it's obviously stoppable. So yeah, I think I cannot get behind the Eagles right now. And the Rams have got something to prove. I also think it's quite funny if the Rams win and you're gonna have the Rams, the Eagles, and either of the commanders or the Colts all on two and two. So I quite like that narrative. So yeah, lock it up. We're both on the rams. Who would've thought it? it's the Cardinals at the Giants. Jamie, I'm gonna just say two things. Big blue. 4th&Tea: Yeah Liam: Let's go. I'm backing them. I loved it. I know it was a storm bowl, right? But they've won their two and one. Jameis Winston's still recover recovering from the summer of love affairs with other sports and social media and TV presenting. He orchestrated a game that he won when he had a week of practice. He's got another week under the belt. And I think that this is a tough team that just sort of believes in itself. They're playing at home. I just kind of like it. The Cardinals will say they are, they're they're not. They're no schmucks. Like they're no pushovers. They're one and two. Which is worse than the Giants. But they have showed up. Ultimately, though. I'm not sure where these true splash blades are coming from, especially if the Giants could throw in a scatterboo run, like a neighbour's catch and run. They can just throw in like a bit of a turnover. They've got all of the they've got all the injuries, but they've got all the belief and the brotherhood. So I'm back in big blue. Let's go, Giants. 4th&Tea: We are not locked in this game. I'm back in Jacobi Brissette Trey McBride Marvin Harrison might catch a ball this week, you know, it's only been three weeks zero catches He might catch a ball, you know, Liam: Ha ha ha. 4th&Tea: it could happen in New York as you say the big blue and Jacobi Brissette loves those lights, baby get me in the Arizona Cardinals. I'm gonna have so many teams on two and two this week It's going to set up the NFL perfectly for the next 14 odd weeks. Yeah. Liam: Which everyone two and two. Yeah. I mean, do you know what? It's gonna be interesting to see what they with this quarterback situation, signing JJ. A lot of people saying he's got promise. But I think he's also on like a list with like people that have performed that have been drafted that high of like Josh Rosen, Zach Wilson. Yeah. 4th&Tea: I'm sorry, I was about to say he is Josh Rosen. Liam: I mean, not the l not the list you wanna be on. 4th&Tea: Hehehehehe Liam: So yeah, I think. Let's see what happens. I think stick with Jameis until it fails, but let's go big blue. So, to summarize our early picks, we've gone with we're both backing the Steelers to beat the Browns. I'm backing the Colts and Jamie's backing the Commanders in London. We're both backing the Ravens to beat the Titans. Both backing the Jags, the Cowboys, the Bills, the Bears, and the Bucks all to win. sorry, as well as the Rams. And we're differing on the New York Giants at home against the Cardinals. Myself going with the Giants. Jamie going with the Cardinals. On to the late slate, those four games. And that's Jamie. It's the Dolphins at the Minnesota Vikings. 4th&Tea: 3-0 means Norton free in Minnesota. I said the earlier review could be the quickest one. Dolphins haven't obviously got A-chan, they've only got Malik Willis. We've told you to, if you haven't got Olive already, if he's still, you know, you're missing out. I think he's going to be just handed the rock. I think this Vikings defense are going to stifle anything the Dolphins can do. They stifled the best offense known to NFL. the Chicago Bears. So at home against Miami, it's easy. It's Kyler Murray running around. Hopefully because that's when he actually plays well. So it's the Vikings who are going to win this game. Liam: Lock it up, Jamie. I'm going with the Vikings. I think not much to say. That defense is just the best defense in the NFL at the minute. Awesome. Brian Flores can't give that man any more flowers. And it's going to be another week for the offense to just discover itself. Like the more time that this defense is by for that offense, the closer it's going to catch up. One thing on the Dolphins, because I was listening to another podcast. And they're just saying, you know, I know he's hate about get Oli Ollie Gordon and Jaden Wright and some of these other players. But it's just funny, there's like A-chan was like the biggest piece, I think he's the second most used player in the NFL, and they've lost him. And it's like, yes, you could pick up these players, but the warning is, yes, you might have had, you know, the it's the worst tasting pie on the shelf. And you used to have the biggest piece of that terrible 4th&Tea: you Liam: tasting pie. Now do you want to split up? That big piece into some small pieces and have it. I don't know. 4th&Tea: Do you know what it's like? When you go into Gregg's and you order like the last sausage roll and it's cold. Liam: Yeah, you forget to ask what's warm at Gregg's and they say, Here's a cold vegan sausage roll. Nah, it's a cold, you know what that's the do this is the cold vegan sausage roll at Gregg's 4th&Tea: That's all that's left. You know. Yeah, you can wait till next season. We've got some hot fresh ones in the back for 2027. But for now, you've got this cold vegan sausage. Liam: Yes, perfect. Right. On to the next one. And it is the Chargers at my angry dark side led Seattle Seahawks. And this is gonna be a short one, Jamie. Chargers are unorganized talent. And I'm d I'm questioning the talent. 4th&Tea: Yeah. Liam: End. Seattle, they've got something to prove. We all have a slip upon a little banana in Mario Kart every now and again, but you can still be the leader of the pack. Right? And 4th&Tea: Where'd you find that? Did you just pluck that out of your head? was that? Liam: Mate, just plug that out of my head. Second place, then you know, sometimes that blue shell comes for you. And you know what? You're so 4th&Tea: Yeah, yeah. Liam: far ahead. You're still first after it. Someone throws that banana. The red shell comes. You're still first. The dark side are coming. That is it. Let's get that Darth Vader music. We don't have it, by the way. We we don't endorse 4th&Tea: Yeah. Liam: that. Dark side, they've got something to prove. The charges are the perfect team to bounce back against. I'm locking up. And going with the Seattle Seahawks. 4th&Tea: Yeah, locked. Sea Orcs are me too. My mate sent me a start. I've got to read this out about the Chargers before we move on. But since 2013, teams with five turnovers and a minus four turnover margin of 381 and one, right? The three wins for these teams are Bills over the Chargers, obviously up in on last Sunday, the Jaguars over the Chargers when they were 30-0 up in the playoffs, and the Broncos over the Chargers also in the playoffs as well. So well done to the Chargers making more NFL history. Liam: Ow. record's a record. Right. On to the next one. Jamie, it's the Chiefs at the Raiders. 4th&Tea: an AFC West early title decider in Las Vegas of all places. What a game. Chiefs on the road. Max Crosby loves playing against these. he? He always makes plays, finds a way to do something. It's a tasty match up. It's worth staying up. mean, I say staying up. It's only 9.25 in the UK. So please do stay up guys. It's a good game, almost swore. I pulled it. I pulled it in. But at the the Allegiant. Liam: It's just lame in the swear jar. 4th&Tea: Yeah, for now, it's close. Last time in this fixture last season, the Raiders won it 14-12. I think it's going be a lot more high scoring. I'm really trying convince myself to go Raiders. Kirk Cousins, he's got more passing touchdowns than Patrick Mahomes does on the season, 9-7. Kenneth Walker's too good, isn't he? Trey Tucker's looking good, but Kelsey's looking good. I'm going Chiefs. It's boring, I know. Travis Kelsey is probably going to get another touchdown. Kenneth Walker, the best running back. Probably right now in the NFL is going to get either... he's going get another one for the Chiefs. I think the Chiefs are to win. I the Raiders. I don't particularly like the Chiefs. I want something different, but I'm going to have to back Kansas City. Liam: You know, I think you're right. Kenneth Walker, I think, is the best running back in the league right now. He's gone to a system that wants to use him and is using him right. Travis Kelsey looks reborn. Loving it. But we're gonna get to it later. I'm going with the Raiders, Jamie. I can't do it. I wanna see Kirko Chains go all the way. Mate, 4th&Tea: I love Kerco. Liam: this guy. This rookie getting all his interceptions in the backfield as well. That just looks prime. He's just jumping everything. The Crosby coming up the edge, crashing down into Mahomes. Mate, I'm having a bit of that. And I think there's gonna be two interceptions by this. He's not gonna just have one, is he? He's gonna have two on Mahomes. I'm going with the Raiders, mate. 4th&Tea: Wow. I want to, but I just, I don't know. Don't think they've got it in them. Liam: What's holding you back from loving this Raiders team? 4th&Tea: Chiefs look good. The Chiefs just... I think it's gonna be really... You know when... It's like Man United... English soccer... Man United... I see football, sorry. When soccer for American people. Listen to the pod. But like... The... People hated them when they really successful. And it's the same with the Kansas City Chiefs. A lot of bandwagon fans in the UK jump on them because they were winning. Stuff like that. And know, NFL was pretty much just blowing up again when the Chiefs were really good. Chiefs again... just look really good. And I think they're going to take some stopping this season. Maybe Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson's got, you know, they've got to do it. So, but my home's looks good. Liam: I agree with you, but I think I've just gotta I think this is gonna be their Seahawks commanders game. I just think in Las Vegas it's gonna be raucous. Like people are hyped. This is the first time that the Raiders have been good in that stadium. And I think, you know, this 4th&Tea: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Liam: is the first time you've got hope in this stadium playing a big team. I think it's this is an exciting game. Anyway, you're go Chiefs. I'm wearing Raiders. On to the next one. And it's with me, and it's the Broncos. At the fine wine 49ers. So 49ers have been everything you wanted them more this year. Jamie hates Brock Purdy. I love me some Brock Purdy. He's the MVP at the minute. He's last year's Baker Mayfield. We won't spoil anything from last season. Go watch that movie. It doesn't end well. But they're battling more injuries. But left tackle, Trent Williams. Mike Evans and the name has just slipped from my head. 4th&Tea: Boses out. Liam: No. The other 49ers defender that's been out. Anyway, they're all week. They're all looking like they might be back. Also, I mean, sorry, on names, the Raiders quarterback was masses. So it's all it all comes back to me a game a game post. But a lot of the people look like they actually avoided big injuries in their week to week and they might even be all playing in this game. So On the other side, the Broncos weird. Bo Nicks is just Bo Nixing, and Bonexing means it's going to be a one score game. And what's Bo Nicks going to do to cause upset and try and climb back out of? I think the big difference is they're not at home. If this was in Denver, I would be going with the Denver Broncos, but no running game, no much ability to control the clock in the way that I would expect. Not playing at home, undefeated, confident forty niners, that's who I'm going with. 4th&Tea: Was it Drury- Greenlaw? Greenlaw? Liam: Drake Greenlaw, that's the one. What a player. I can't 4th&Tea: That's the one. There you go. Liam: remember. X Panther, mate. Surprise you forgot. 4th&Tea: I'm going for the OAPs. It's the 49ers, got a back-em. The only thing they're lacking is just I don't like the 49ers defense. I don't think they've been tested enough yet, but they're not creating any case of interception on turnovers. I think they've got one on the season. Sax-wise, I don't think they're very high. think, yeah, they're 20th in the NFL right now. Liam: They've had a nice they've had a nice schedule. They've had a nice schedule. The Cardinals are just 4th&Tea: Yeah. Yeah. Liam: scary because of what they've become, not because of what you expected them to be. 4th&Tea: Yeah, then like, yeah, time possessions down as well. But on offense, they are red hot. They're creating stuff and McAfee's looking back to his best. Liam: TB Samuels looking alive again. 4th&Tea: D.Va Samuel was rapid. would love to know how fast that man was running but damn he was on fire. Liam: He's another he's another hope for us getting old. 4th&Tea: Yeah I he could do it. He's probably the same age as us. That's what I said he's probably the same age as Liam: I mate, I'm older than Debo, like 4th&Tea: us. Trying to help you out there bastard. You put yourself in it. Liam: Debo is younger than me, spoiler alert. 4th&Tea: What reckon you could beat in the race? do reckon? Liam: Yeah, one hundred percent. 4th&Tea: You would beat Demosamu in the race? Liam: Yeah. A hundred percent. I would be Debo Samuel in a race. He can fly me out and he can test me out. 4th&Tea: offseason when there's not much we could definitely do a combine. Liam: Debo wants me to come out and race him, he Okay, cool. 4th&Tea: on devosamuels Liam: Cool. So on that note, I think we're locked, aren't we, Jamie? Both on the forty niners. 4th&Tea: both on the OAPs, yeah. Liam: Again, just because it's not in Denver, but I'm I'm locking it. to Sunday night football. We've got America's real team, the Lions versus Jamie's Beautiful little kittens. The Carolina Panthers. 4th&Tea: well, where do I start? At start of the season I really believed again I could do every single season you you make signings especially on defence then they get injured you make signings in your O-line every single one them gets an injury both your cornerbacks have just been put on injury reserve earlier today Mike Jackson, JC Horn, wide receivers got nothing left running game can't run through anything looks like you're running in mud heavy mud on a plastic pitch Liam: Jubat. he is a strange running back. I won't go into it too much. He's he just gets things done, but you just don't expect it. Then he's doing the minimum he needs to get done. But he's not exciting. 4th&Tea: When you need him the most, he's not there. When you don't expect him to play well, he turns up. Liam: I'm gonna race Juba Hubbard. That's it. I'll race Juba Hubbard. 4th&Tea: You could... I could take two by one I think. Liam: Th yeah, three way race. Me, you, tuba, what's happening? 4th&Tea: you I reckon over 2 yards I could do Tyreek kill. Liam: Me, you, Chuba, Tyreek, Debo, that's it. Five lanes, that's it. 4th&Tea: Do you know what? I've got Brock Purdy. I reckon lifting... I reckon if we're doing weights, I'll bench more than Brock Purdy. Liam: I think he's bigger than you as well. Anyway, that's do right, back to the game. Back to the pamphlets. 4th&Tea: Yeah, so the Panthers, it's rather depressing right now. We've got 16 first team players, like starting, well start, well as I call, starters out. Last time we actually hosted the Lions, we smashed them in the math. We run down, we put them, we had like 300 plus rushing yards. We kicked, as Dan Campbell said to Steve Wilkes, you just kicked the shit out of us. Five pound in the jar. That was Liam: Five fan in the jail. 4th&Tea: live. On red zone as well, you can hear him clear as day, was sensational, I loved it. We're not being the same obviously, we didn't hide, we hided Frank Reich and it was all downhill and rather depressing from there. But we turned it around, but we're not going turn it around, we're going be 1-3, it's rather depressing, Detroit Lions are going to win. any, get JMo Williams, put him in the team because we have got nothing in the backfield defensively. We're done. Liam: That's a shame. I think you both don't, but the Lions have got an offense. Look at look at Gibbs last week. Amon Ra. You know, you've got J-Mo, he's not even being used yet. I'm backing the Lions as well. Lock it up. Monday night football, last game of week four. And it is the Falcons, Atlanta Falcons at the New Orleans Saints with me. Exciting game. Tyler Shook. Brought back down to earth a little bit by the Raiders defense last week, but they still look like a good team. This Saints team is here this year. You don't really want to play them. And hello, Atlanta. We've turned up the game plan of using your best players. Worked away. wow. 4th&Tea: I worked! yeah! Wow! Liam: You know, these good players we've got, let's use them. And let's see if they're gonna use them against the Saints. I don't know if I love the matchup for Atlanta, Atlanta's offense against the Saints D. That the Saints D is looking hound and they're getting after people and they're being physical. not low to say. It's an exciting in division game. Me and Jamie obviously got a lot of skin in this one. Not a big one though. In like let's see what happens again now. I think Tyler Shook's just showed quite a lot. The Falcons. I think Penix Jr. needs to show it against a better team before we start backing them. So I'm going with the New Orleans Saints. 4th&Tea: Can both teams lose? That is the question. It's... I don't know, I love... People say the NFC South, but three of the four teams on Sunday night, Monday night prime time, NFC South, baby. Love it. Proper Division of Watch. It's going to be a bloodbath. It's going to be a scrap. I think I'm going to back the Falcons because I think they've probably got better weapons. everywhere than the saints. Liam: Yeah. I mean one for one for the Saints in fantasy. A Chan, formerly known as Etienne, doesn't look gonna play. And you've obviously got Kamara and Kendra Miller in the backfield. Let's see if they can fill that hole. we differ. Awesome. No lock. So just to sum up the late games and our predictions, we're both locking up. The Vikings were both locking up. Seattle. We're both looking up the 49ers, and we're both looking up the Lions. I've got the Raiders to beat the Chiefs at home, and Jamie is backing Mahomes and those Chiefs to go in and beat the Raiders in the new black hole. Do they call it that anymore? I don't know. Anyway, 4th&Tea: I'm sorry. Liam: does it the black hole? And then I'm backing the Saints. beat the falcons jamie is backing his secret love affair team the Atlanta Falcons we are not allowed to say it publicly 4th&Tea: Whoa. Whoa. Liam: but i've said it awesome our wild predictions of the week jamie what have you got 4th&Tea: We're gonna get a tyre this week. We're gonna get a tyre. It's gonna happen, Liam: That 4th&Tea: right? Liam: sorry by the way, that whistle that I've just done is definitely not making the audio. 4th&Tea: In my head I heard it. It sounded good. It sounded good and clean that I can't whistle as a fact. That's not a wild take. That's just true and I as I said in the Monday night preview I want both teams to lose I'll take a tie and I want a Falcon Saints Monday primetime tie When I'm up at five, they're still playing Half five still playing. We're gonna get a tie. Come on Liam: Nice. Okay, my wild take of the week is that, and I mentioned it before, the Raiders are gonna smash up the Chiefs and 4th&Tea: Smash. Liam: you know what? They're gonna beat the spread. They're gonna win by more than 10 points. Masses to get two interceptions. Raiders by ten or more with masses on two interceptions. Bosh, that's my wild take of the week. On to our next segment. Jamie, we're avoiding some fantasy players of the week. Who have you got to avoid in fantasy week four? 4th&Tea: Here you go, London game this week. I'm picking a player playing in London to avoid... It's Jonathan Taylor. Running back for the Colts. You look at this Washington defence. They probably had one of the worst Russian defence last season. This season though, last week gave up only 44 yards against Seattle's Seahawks running game. Before that against Dallas, 66 yards. This defence that they're getting, that they've got, is tough on defence. I don't see... Jonathan Taylor getting more than 50 yards so he is my fantasy player to avoid this week. Liam: Big, I love that. So my fantasy player to avoid this week is Keaton Mitchell. He's one of these hot waiver wire pickups for the for the Chargers, and I think that's the problem. I like Keaton Mitchell. He looks like he is the first round pick, Nottamaran Hampton. He is looking good and he's got a good size of the pie down for the Chargers. The problem for me is you've picked him up probably because you need some running back help. However, Keaton Mitchell's next three matches are Seattle, Denver, Chiefs. Terrible, terrible, terrible for running backs. Then you've got a bye week. So you're probably not going to see a good week out of Keaton Mitchell until what's that? Five, four, five, six, seven. Till like week eight. Quick math. Come on. So 4th&Tea: Very good. Liam: counting out loud with my fingers. So Keaton Mitchell is my avoid player of the week. I personally, if you're desperate for a running back and need someone like that, I'd be picking up Kendra Miller for the Saints, who Alvin Kamara is old. I don't think he's gonna have a mad amount of burst. Kendra Miller can explode and he can take off in this offense quite well. Another team I've got to avoid as well. I am not picking up any of these fantasy assets from the Rams. Devontae Adams, yes. When Puka Nuka Nukua comes back, yes. The running backs, you want I'm not starting Blake Corum, but I do want him on my bench in case something happens. And Kyron Williams, 100% yes, that looks great. However, I think people thought that one of these tight ends was going to stand out for the Rams. One of these wide receivers is going to stand out, but you've got Higby scoring touchdowns, Mumfield scoring touchdowns are not loads of snap like pass attempt domination. So realistically You know, there's n I'm not picking up anyone from the Rams. On to the next segment, then Jamie. One before last. It's our forkum section. This is where me and Jamie pick another team to go onto the forkham pile. They're not making the playoffs. We're predicting it early. It's just starting to get spicy. So far on the pile, we've put the Cleveland Browns, we've put the Miami Dolphins, and we've put the Tennessee Titans. On to the pile. Remember, we're gonna say they're not making the playoffs. Jamie, who are you going with? 4th&Tea: Houston Texans. Liam: Oof! 4th&Tea: okay. Elite defense, just close. Top 32. Offense, Liam: Yeah. 4th&Tea: offense, they got nothing. They are struggling. Running games don't exist and Montgomery's not doing it. You need a running game to get close to the playoffs and they just don't have it. I don't think they're gonna, I think we can falcon. Liam: One stat, they obviously made the playoffs last year, going and three to start the season. However, so you might think it's still possible. There's not as far as I'm aware, there has not been a team that has gone and three two years on the bounce and made the playoffs both years. So I don't think that's a bad shout. My nomination's gonna be the LA Chargers. They just they've got some talent. 4th&Tea: Yeah. Liam: They just don't look they just look terrible, mate. I don't know what to say. 4th&Tea: They don't look good on defense either do they? Even though you've got Khalil Mat, you've got Derwin James, you've got Pieces. But that's their problem isn't it? As you said in the preview, they've got Pieces, they've got talents there. Just for some reason, he's just not... Liam: Yeah. No cohesion. 4th&Tea: yeah nothing. Liam: They've got the play callers as well, but no cohesion. so yeah, I don't know. Has anything I've said persuaded you? You know what, Jamie? I think I like 4th&Tea: It's a division, isn't it? Liam: my O and three my starting O and three. I think I kinda like the fact that the Texans are just not gonna do it. It's a bit spicy. I think there's worse teams, but we're pinning that flag to the Mast early. 4th&Tea: Do know why you might have persuaded me? It's the fact that look at the divisions that these two teams are in right? The Chargers are already three games back off the Raiders and the Chiefs who meet this week. So the Chargers are to lose at Seattle, then they're to four, they're guaranteed to be four games back. Liam: And are you picking them to win at the chart the Broncos who are like third in that division? No. You know what? 4th&Tea: No, no. So I'm swayed. I'm happy with the with the charges. Liam: Okay, forking those chargers in the bin. On to our last segment of the week. And it is our Fantasy Survivor series. We had to restart. It was game week one for the Fourth and D podcast because Jamie lost our first one. Week one, I chose the 49ers. I'm through. Jamie chose the Chiefs. Who are you going with this week, Jamie? 4th&Tea: I'm gonna back the Bills to beat the Patriots. Liam: Spice ay? 4th&Tea: I've just changed my mind. Liam: See yeah. 4th&Tea: divisional game at home, Patriots on the ropes, Josh Schallon's gonna make him beg for the count. Liam: Not that there's not that there's any safe fix this year, but ooh that could I think, you know, there could be a little heated rivalry there. Not to quote the film, but I don't know. If any two guys, maybe it's them. Anyway, that's a bit of rogue one. You know, I think there's an easy one on the schedule. 4th&Tea: Go on. Liam: The Vikings to beat Miami. 4th&Tea: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it could be. But do know what? thought Bucks Browns... Yeah, exactly. Liam: Do it for the pod, mate. Do it for the pod. 4th&Tea: I'm going, yeah, I'm going to be able I thought when I lost I picked the Bucks against the Browns, obviously. The Bucks could be the new Browns this season. So... I had to get that in. Liam: gosh. Mate, they could be the worst team in the NFL. No, Miami is. Miami's in the NFL. What am I about? They could be the worst 4th&Tea: there. Liam: NFL team in the NFL. There you go. Awesome. So I'll go with the Vikings. Jamie's going with the Buffalo Bills. Jamie, another week. Another one in the bag. I'm at a blast. Thank you again. Anything to close the pod with. 4th&Tea: got a lot, we've got some training to do to beat Devo Samuel and it's brought Purdy in some weights. Liam: Mate, gonna have to get the spik gonna have to get the spikes on, mate, but for for the off season combine, mate. We're gonna just have to have to clock some time. So yeah. Anyway, 4th&Tea: Yeah. Liam: come on the book books one and four. I'm back in mate. Let's go. Thank you for listening. Please like, please subscribe.
