Mega Edition: The USVI And The Serious Allegations Leveled By JP Morgan (8/13/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
• 0:04
Speaker 1: The lawsuit between the US Virgin Islands and JP Morgan
• 0:08
Speaker 1: has evolved into an absolute backyard brawl, with both sides
• 0:13
Speaker 1: lobbing salvo after salvo at the other side, hoping to
• 0:18
Speaker 1: damage the credibility of their opponent in this high stakes lawsuit.
• 0:23
Speaker 1: And if the US Virgin Islands thought that JP Morgan
• 0:26
Speaker 1: wasn't going to fight back, they made a critical mistake
• 0:29
Speaker 1: because JP Morgan is not going to write a check
• 0:33
Speaker 1: to the US Virgin Islands without at the very least
• 0:36
Speaker 1: exacting their price in blood, if you will, meaning they're
• 0:40
Speaker 1: going to expose everything that they say the Virgin Islands
• 0:44
Speaker 1: was involved in in hopes to destroy their credibility inside
• 0:47
Speaker 1: of that courtroom. And that's what it comes down to.
• 0:51
Speaker 1: JP Morgan understands that they're already on the hook for
• 0:54
Speaker 1: two hundred and ninety million dollars. You really think they
• 0:57
Speaker 1: want to have another payout here? Of course not. So
• 1:00
Speaker 1: they're looking at all of the facts, and their high
• 1:02
Speaker 1: profile lawyers are certainly looking at all of the facts.
• 1:06
Speaker 1: And if we can find this information, do you really
• 1:08
Speaker 1: think that the JP Morgan legal teams can't come up
• 1:12
Speaker 1: with it. Not only have they turned up this information,
• 1:16
Speaker 1: I'm guessing that they've turned up a whole bunch more.
• 1:19
Speaker 1: And it looks to me that JP Morgan plans to
• 1:21
Speaker 1: release each one of these dumps in a calculated strike.
• 1:26
Speaker 1: Today we have an article from lawn crime dot com
• 1:30
Speaker 1: and the headline will it work for you?
• 1:33
  Speaker 2: Ex?
• 1:33
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands first lady allegedly ran suggested language for sex
• 1:37
Speaker 1: offender law by Jeffrey Epstein. This article was authored by
• 1:42
Speaker 1: Adam Klasfeld. So that's nice, Huh. You're in charge of
• 1:47
Speaker 1: writing the sex offender's law for the US Virgin Islands,
• 1:50
Speaker 1: and before you write the law, you're like self, you
• 1:53
Speaker 1: know what I need to do. I need to get
• 1:55
Speaker 1: in contact with Jeffrey Epstein and see what he has
• 1:58
Speaker 1: to say about the language in this law. How could
• 2:02
Speaker 1: you not sue the US Virgin Islands knowing all of this?
• 2:05
Speaker 1: If I was a survivor of Jeffrey Epstein, I would
• 2:08
Speaker 1: be out a lawyer yesterday trying to get a lawsuit
• 2:11
Speaker 1: going against the US Virgin Islands using the same principles
• 2:15
Speaker 1: and basics that were used against JP Morgan. Especially learning
• 2:19
Speaker 1: stuff like this, If you have somebody who is the
• 2:23
Speaker 1: first Lady of the US Virgin Islands and she's also
• 2:27
Speaker 1: working for Epstein and then at the very same time
• 2:30
Speaker 1: manipulating language in the sex offender's law. You mean to
• 2:34
Speaker 1: tell me that somebody shouldn't be held culpable for that,
• 2:37
Speaker 1: because that law itself, right there is a big deal.
• 2:40
Speaker 1: Right if you're writing a favorable law for sex offenders,
• 2:44
Speaker 1: how can you tell me that you're a victim, meaning
• 2:46
Speaker 1: the island When it comes to somebody like Epstein setting
• 2:50
Speaker 1: up shop in a place that's favorable to them. You
• 2:54
Speaker 1: set the tone, you set the scenario, You set the stage,
• 2:57
Speaker 1: and Epstein just swooped in. So before you start coming
• 3:01
Speaker 1: with your hand out talking about your ode anything else.
• 3:05
Speaker 1: The whole entire US Virgin Islands leadership structure, and anyone
• 3:09
Speaker 1: thinking that they should get some money should sit down
• 3:12
Speaker 1: and reevaluate their strategy, because I think the gravy train
• 3:16
Speaker 1: is about to come off the tracks. Three years after
• 3:18
Speaker 1: pleading guilty to soliciting prostitution of a minor, Jeffrey Epstein
• 3:23
Speaker 1: had the ear of the wife of the then Virgin
• 3:25
Speaker 1: Islands governor in attempting to craft sex offender legislation that
• 3:30
Speaker 1: wouldn't put too much of a crimp in his lifestyle.
• 3:33
Speaker 1: Another reason why he chose New Mexico as well. Remember
• 3:36
Speaker 1: everything that Epstein did, he was thinking a few steps ahead,
• 3:40
Speaker 1: especially when we're talking about the legal system, and he
• 3:43
Speaker 1: had all of this set up in a manner where
• 3:46
Speaker 1: it was beneficial to him if he ever got caught.
• 3:49
Speaker 1: Grease the right palms now, so later on down the
• 3:51
Speaker 1: road they owe me a favor. That's one of the
• 3:54
Speaker 1: latest scorching allegations in a legal brief filed by JP
• 3:58
Speaker 1: Morgan Chase, which is trying to turn and the tables
• 4:00
Speaker 1: on the Virgin Islands government. And I am here for it.
• 4:04
Speaker 1: It is about time that the US Virgin Islands government
• 4:07
Speaker 1: was called out. I feel like I'm the only person
• 4:10
Speaker 1: that's been doing this for a few years now. And look,
• 4:14
Speaker 1: it's not because I have a bone to pick with
• 4:16
Speaker 1: the US Virgin Islands in general, but wrong is wrong,
• 4:20
Speaker 1: and until you start holding some people accountable in your
• 4:22
Speaker 1: own backyard, I don't want to hear about how you're
• 4:25
Speaker 1: a victim or how restitution needs to be paid to
• 4:28
Speaker 1: the US Virgin Islands. In fact, I think it's the
• 4:31
Speaker 1: other way around. If anyone's getting restitution, it should be
• 4:34
Speaker 1: those survivors from the US Virgin Islands. Since late last year,
• 4:39
Speaker 1: the Virgin Islands has tried to hold the behemoth financial
• 4:43
Speaker 1: institution liable for knowingly profiting from Epstein sex trafficking conspiracy.
• 4:49
Speaker 1: JP Morgan's most potent defense against the allegations has been
• 4:52
Speaker 1: a counter offensive, the latest of which reveals alleged communications
• 4:57
Speaker 1: between Epstein and former Virgin Island First Lady Cecil DeJong
• 5:02
Speaker 1: from twenty and eleven. Look, they were close, There's no doubt.
• 5:06
Speaker 1: This is all documented stuff that we've been talking about
• 5:09
Speaker 1: four years now. The only question is what is inside
• 5:14
Speaker 1: of those documents. We've never had access to the emails.
• 5:17
Speaker 1: We knew they existed, and we knew that the conversations
• 5:20
Speaker 1: were had. This just confirms it with some receipts. And
• 5:23
Speaker 1: that's because JP Morgan, like the article says here, is
• 5:26
Speaker 1: on accounter offensive and the US Virgin Islands, for their part,
• 5:30
Speaker 1: are used to steamrolling people when it comes to the
• 5:32
Speaker 1: Epstein situation, especially with the way they were handling the estate.
• 5:37
  Speaker 2: Well.
• 5:38
Speaker 1: JP Morgan is in Epstein's estate and the legal team
• 5:41
Speaker 1: that JP Morgan has on hand is a lot more
• 5:44
Speaker 1: powerful than anything the Epstein Estate could ever imagine of deploying.
• 5:50
Speaker 1: And that's why you see this insane amount of pushback
• 5:52
Speaker 1: from JP Morgan, Whereas the estate they just took it
• 5:56
Speaker 1: in the pants and said, you know what, let's settle
• 5:58
Speaker 1: and keep it moving. They knew they were going to
• 6:00
Speaker 1: pay that money out one way or the other, and
• 6:03
Speaker 1: the estate didn't care if they paid the US Virgin
• 6:05
Speaker 1: Islands or those survivors, as long as they were off
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: the hook.
• 6:09
  Speaker 2: That may.
• 6:10
Speaker 1: The Virgin Islands legislature considered amending sex offender monitoring laws,
• 6:15
Speaker 1: and the Bank quoted DeJong running the proposed language by Epstein.
• 6:20
Speaker 1: This is the suggested language. Will it work for you?
• 6:22
Speaker 1: DeJong wrote, According to the brief, we should add out
• 6:26
Speaker 1: of the country for more than seven days. Otherwise I
• 6:29
Speaker 1: could not go for a day trip to Tortola. At
• 6:32
Speaker 1: the last minute, the sex offender allegedly replied, referring to
• 6:35
Speaker 1: the largest isle on the British Virgin Islands. Imagine that's
• 6:39
Speaker 1: what he's worried about. I can't go to Tortola after
• 6:42
Speaker 1: decades of raping and ruining people's lives. This is what
• 6:45
Speaker 1: is paled down in the US Virgin Islands and him
• 6:48
Speaker 1: or chatting about and we're not talking about just some lady.
• 6:50
Speaker 1: We're talking about somebody who was at the very levers
• 6:53
Speaker 1: of power. And this person thinks it's a good idea
• 6:56
Speaker 1: to ask a convicted sex offender what they think about
• 6:59
Speaker 1: the new sex offender law or the language within that law.
• 7:03
Speaker 1: Epstein also fretted the statute's transparency provisions could make certain
• 7:07
Speaker 1: information accessible by the press. According to the filing, well,
• 7:11
Speaker 1: no worries there. The press wasn't interested in covering what
• 7:14
Speaker 1: Epstein was doing at the time. Althy'll go back now
• 7:17
Speaker 1: and there'll be some revisionist history and these outlets act
• 7:20
Speaker 1: like they've been at the forefront. But I'm here to
• 7:22
Speaker 1: tell you they haven't been. DeJong allegedly responded that she
• 7:27
Speaker 1: didn't want to email back and forth before describing the
• 7:30
Speaker 1: hurried timetable for the legislation. And you know why she
• 7:33
Speaker 1: didn't want to email, right, she didn't want a paper trail.
• 7:36
Speaker 1: Of course, she didn't want to email back and forth.
• 7:38
Speaker 1: She's smart enough to know that the person she's talking
• 7:41
Speaker 1: to is not exactly the citizen of the year. JP
• 7:44
Speaker 1: Morgan claims that the then Virgin Island's first Lady wasn't
• 7:48
Speaker 1: just an ally of Epstein, but a paid manager of
• 7:51
Speaker 1: his Virgin Island companies, receiving a salary, bonuses and other benefits.
• 7:57
Speaker 1: Epstein and his then personal attorney, Marie Ya Hodge also
• 8:01
Speaker 1: lobbied the Virgin Islands Department of Justice and the Attorney
• 8:05
Speaker 1: General's Office, with apparently disappointing results for the wealthy sex offender.
• 8:10
Speaker 1: According to the filing, So even though Epstein had a
• 8:13
Speaker 1: lot of people working on his behalf down in the
• 8:16
Speaker 1: US Virgin Islands, not everybody was in on it. Not
• 8:19
Speaker 1: every politician was willing to just give this guy a
• 8:23
Speaker 1: blank pass to do whatever he wanted. But unfortunately there
• 8:27
Speaker 1: were enough down there who were willing to do that,
• 8:29
Speaker 1: and that in turn led to Jeffrey Epstein being able
• 8:32
Speaker 1: to pretty much do whatever he wanted within the territory.
• 8:36
Speaker 1: I know this was a horrible week and I'm really
• 8:39
Speaker 1: sorry about how things panned out, DeJong apologized to Epstein
• 8:43
Speaker 1: after the law's passage in June of twenty eleven. Not
• 8:47
Speaker 1: being able to take someone at their word is incredibly frustrating. However,
• 8:51
Speaker 1: all is not lost and we will figure something out
• 8:54
Speaker 1: by coming up with a game plan to get around
• 8:57
Speaker 1: these obstacles. So she's basically saying, we're gonna come up
• 9:00
Speaker 1: with a game plan to get around these new sex
• 9:02
Speaker 1: offender laws here on the island. That way they don't
• 9:05
Speaker 1: apply to you. And keep in mind while we're talking
• 9:08
Speaker 1: about this, that this island that these people represented ended
• 9:12
Speaker 1: up with one hundred and five million dollars after this
• 9:15
Speaker 1: woman was here talking about we're gonna come up with
• 9:17
Speaker 1: a plan to avoid the sex offender laws. You really
• 9:21
Speaker 1: think that the US Virgin Islands should get one single dollar?
• 9:24
Speaker 1: And if the answer is yes to that, please shoot
• 9:26
Speaker 1: me some email and explain to me why they shouldn't
• 9:29
Speaker 1: be liable and instead why they should be collecting another bag.
• 9:33
Speaker 1: That plan, JP Morgan says involved getting then Virgin Island
• 9:37
Speaker 1: senators involved to facilitate Epstein's easy travel too and from
• 9:42
Speaker 1: the territory. Huh, Senators. I wonder Stacy Plas get involved
• 9:47
Speaker 1: in that. Is anyone ever gonna call her out either?
• 9:50
Speaker 1: I doubt it, but somebody should considering her ties to
• 9:54
Speaker 1: Epstein and then the BS response we got from her,
• 9:58
Speaker 1: I would love to see JP Morgan really push the
• 10:00
Speaker 1: envelope here and take them to court all the way
• 10:03
Speaker 1: to discovery and then call everybody in that way. Everybody
• 10:06
Speaker 1: has to go under oath, and if people are lying,
• 10:09
Speaker 1: perhaps there'll be some consequences. JP Morgan has fought tenaciously
• 10:14
Speaker 1: to rid itself of liabilities and the torrent of bad
• 10:16
Speaker 1: press that came with it associated with Epstein's name. The
• 10:21
Speaker 1: bank reached a two hundred and ninety million dollars settlement
• 10:24
Speaker 1: to resolve a class action lawsuit filed anonymously by an
• 10:28
Speaker 1: Epstein survivor, averting a potentially embarrassing trial that would have
• 10:32
Speaker 1: put the alleged conduct of JP Morgan executives under the
• 10:36
Speaker 1: public layer. Attorney Brad Edwards, known for his representation of
• 10:41
Speaker 1: Epstein's survivors, credited assistance from the Virgin Islands government for
• 10:45
Speaker 1: helping to reach that deal. Okay, that's fine and well,
• 10:48
  Speaker 1: but I still don't trust them and I don't understand
• 10:51
Speaker 1: how Brad Edwards doesn't see the forest through the trees here.
• 10:54
Speaker 1: You would think that a lawyer would be all over this, right,
• 10:57
Speaker 1: let me get another bag, let me secure some more due. Oh,
• 11:01
Speaker 1: the information and support the US Virgin Islands and its
• 11:04
Speaker 1: legal team provided to the survivors was enormously valuable, and
• 11:08
Speaker 1: we recognize the importance of the government's continued litigation against
• 11:13
Speaker 1: JP Morgan Chase to prevent future crimes. Edward said in
• 11:17
Speaker 1: a statement, Yeah, that doesn't hit too well for me.
• 11:19
Speaker 1: In fact, I find that statement a bit ridiculous. Honestly,
• 11:23
Speaker 1: there's no way that anyone's going to stop doing what
• 11:25
Speaker 1: they're doing because they have to pay a fine. How
• 11:28
Speaker 1: about sending some people to jail. How about holding these
• 11:31
Speaker 1: politicians accountable for the decision they made to get into
• 11:35
Speaker 1: bed with a slimy ass snake like Jeffrey Epstein. Instead,
• 11:38
Speaker 1: it seems like people are just willing to let them
• 11:41
Speaker 1: get off. Well, I'm here to tell you that's never
• 11:43
Speaker 1: gonna happen on this podcast. I'm never gonna sit here
• 11:45
Speaker 1: and tell you that the US Virgin Islands has the
• 11:48
Speaker 1: right of it, because they do not. What they're doing
• 11:51
Speaker 1: here is absolutely wrong and disgusting. Now, look, I'm all
• 11:55
Speaker 1: for going after the bank and holding them liable, but
• 11:59
Speaker 1: the fact that they're trying to do it for financial
• 12:02
Speaker 1: benefit and financial benefit alone is really gross, especially considering
• 12:07
Speaker 1: what they were up to themselves, And for me, that
• 12:10
Speaker 1: seals the deal as them being liable and as a institution,
• 12:15
Speaker 1: if you will, that played a crucial role in Jeffrey
• 12:18
Speaker 1: Epstein's criminal enterprise, keeping it moving for decades. The Virgin
• 12:24
Speaker 1: Islands Attorney General's Office, for its part, has held firm
• 12:27
Speaker 1: and has announced no intention to settle its case before
• 12:30
Speaker 1: a trial in October. The government has described the bank's
• 12:34
Speaker 1: hyperbolic conspiracy theories about the Virgin Islands as an effort
• 12:38
Speaker 1: to distract and deflect, asking Senior US District Judge Jed
• 12:43
Speaker 1: Rakoff to strike the intimations of hypocrisy as an affirmative defense.
• 12:49
Speaker 1: Venetia of Alasquez, a spokesperson for the Virgin Islands AG,
• 12:53
Speaker 1: sounded a similar note in a statement. JP Morgan Chase
• 12:57
Speaker 1: has cherry picked and mischaracterized Epstein's interactions with US Virgin
• 13:02
Speaker 1: Island officials and residents in an attempt to distract and
• 13:06
Speaker 1: shift blame away from its role in facilitating Jeffrey Epstein's
• 13:10
Speaker 1: Hanus crimes. Velasquez said, and while there's truth to that,
• 13:14
Speaker 1: that doesn't do away with the fact that what they're
• 13:17
Speaker 1: saying is true. How many times do we have to
• 13:19
Speaker 1: go back in the time machine and pull up an
• 13:21
Speaker 1: article from twenty twenty or twenty nineteen talking about the
• 13:25
Speaker 1: complicity of the US Virgin Islands with Jeffrey Epstein. JP
• 13:31
Speaker 1: Morgan Chase seeks to attack the people of the Virgin
• 13:34
Speaker 1: Islands for not discovering the very information that bank executives
• 13:38
Speaker 1: refuse to share. Nobody's attacking the people of the US
• 13:41
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands. The elected officials, don't try and conflate the issue.
• 13:46
Speaker 1: JP Morgan Chase had a legal responsibility to report the
• 13:49
Speaker 1: evidence in its possession of Epstein's human trafficking. It failed
• 13:54
Speaker 1: to do so, and it should be held accountable for
• 13:56
Speaker 1: violating the law. Correct me if I'm wrong, But does
• 13:59
Speaker 1: in the USA US Virgin Islands have subpoena power? Don't
• 14:03
Speaker 1: they have the power to enter or not enter into
• 14:06
Speaker 1: any deal with anybody they choose to. Well, what's the
• 14:09
Speaker 1: answer for their behavior?
• 14:11
  Speaker 2: Then?
• 14:11
Speaker 1: If JP Morgan could have stopped Jeffrey Epstein and they
• 14:15
Speaker 1: could have, well what does that say about the US
• 14:17
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands who had the power of the law and
• 14:20
Speaker 1: the United States government on their side and they fail
• 14:23
Speaker 1: to act. So save the what about ism and get
• 14:25
Speaker 1: ready to feel the pain. JP Morgan insists that its
• 14:29
Speaker 1: arguments are legitimate telling. Lee usvi's motion seeks to strike
• 14:34
Speaker 1: only those specific defenses that threaten to expose its relationship
• 14:38
Speaker 1: with Epstein. The Bank's attorney, Felicia Ellsworth noted in her
• 14:42
Speaker 1: brief the former governor's first lady is hardly the only
• 14:46
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands official identified in JP Morgan's brief. The bank
• 14:51
Speaker 1: is also alleged that Epstein had close ties with current
• 14:54
Speaker 1: Governor Albert Bryan, who fired ex Virgin Island's Attorney General
• 14:58
Speaker 1: Denise George, the prosecut who first filed the case against
• 15:02
Speaker 1: JP Morgan. Former sex trafficking prosecutor Mitchell Epner suspects that
• 15:07
Speaker 1: if a federal judge finds JP Morgan's claims about the
• 15:11
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands fair game for trial, the Bank will use
• 15:14
Speaker 1: the information to draw the government to the negotiation table.
• 15:18
Speaker 1: It's a standard in litigation to use the process to
• 15:21
Speaker 1: disincentivize the opponent to continue, said Epner, who's now a
• 15:25
Speaker 1: partner at Rottenberg Littmann Rich PC. If unsuccessful in that effort,
• 15:30
Speaker 1: the trial will begin on October twenty third, twenty twenty three.
• 15:34
Speaker 1: And I think the wildcard here is going to be
• 15:37
Speaker 1: if one of the survivors or several of the survivors
• 15:40
Speaker 1: decide that they want to get involved and sue the
• 15:43
Speaker 1: US Virgin Islands on top of it, because I think
• 15:46
Speaker 1: that's certainly a possibility, especially considering we haven't heard from
• 15:50
Speaker 1: anywhere near all of the survivors yet, so I won't
• 15:54
Speaker 1: be shocked if moving on in the future, we hear
• 15:57
Speaker 1: that the survivors or a survivor has sued the US
• 16:01
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands as well, And if that happens, the US
• 16:04
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands has nobody to blame but themselves. They should
• 16:07
Speaker 1: have took their one hundred and five million and kept
• 16:09
Speaker 1: it moving, but no, they needed more, and now that
• 16:13
Speaker 1: greed threatens to expose them for what JP Morgan's asserting
• 16:17
Speaker 1: is their role in Jeffrey Epstein's criminal enterprise. All right, folks,
• 16:22
Speaker 1: that's gonna do it for this one. All of the
• 16:24
Speaker 1: information that goes with the episode can be found in
• 16:27
Speaker 1: the description box Cash Fevers. What's up, everyone, and Welcome
• 16:32
Speaker 1: back to the Epstein Chronicles. As the battle between JP
• 16:37
Speaker 1: Morgan and the US Virgin Islands continues to rage, JP
• 16:42
Speaker 1: Morgan is now blasting the US Virgin Islands and saying
• 16:45
Speaker 1: that they were complicit in helping Jeffrey Epstein facilitate his
• 16:49
Speaker 1: criminal enterprise. And guess what, JP Morgan is not wrong
• 16:54
Speaker 1: here as bad as the sins of the financial sector
• 16:57
Speaker 1: were and are. You had government officials down in the
• 17:02
Speaker 1: US Virgin Islands taken all kinds of money from Epstein,
• 17:05
Speaker 1: taken all kinds of favors from Epstein, and then after
• 17:08
Speaker 1: those favors are done, Epstein turns around and gets all
• 17:12
Speaker 1: kinds of tax breaks, all sorts of benefits, and the
• 17:15
Speaker 1: key he gets privacy because he knows that nobody's gonna
• 17:19
Speaker 1: check in on him. Nobody down there gives a shit,
• 17:22
Speaker 1: So why would anyone in a position of power have
• 17:25
Speaker 1: anything to say about what Epstein's doing, especially if he's
• 17:28
Speaker 1: buttering everybody's bread. So JP Morgan, they're calling the US
• 17:33
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands out on their bullshit, and honestly, I think
• 17:36
Speaker 1: it's a good idea. I've said it from the very beginning.
• 17:39
Speaker 1: If I was one of these girls who was assaulted
• 17:41
Speaker 1: by Epstein on this island, I would sue the US
• 17:44
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands for negligence as well. Didn't they get one
• 17:47
Speaker 1: hundred and twenty five million dollars already from the estate Meanwhile,
• 17:51
Speaker 1: you have girls out here who were abused who didn't
• 17:54
Speaker 1: get one single dollar. And while the US Virgin Islands
• 17:57
Speaker 1: is pilfering this money and pillaging all the funds that
• 18:00
Speaker 1: should be going to girls who were abused, they're wrapping
• 18:03
Speaker 1: it in the flag of justice. Meanwhile, not one single
• 18:08
Speaker 1: criminal complaint has been filed in the US Virgin Islands.
• 18:13
Speaker 1: Today's article is from CNBC and the headline JP Morgan
• 18:18
Speaker 1: Chase blast US Virgin Islands as complicit in Jeffrey Epstein's
• 18:22
Speaker 1: sex trafficking. This article was authored by Dan Mangen. JP
• 18:29
Speaker 1: Morgan Chase, in a court filing on Tuesday, called the
• 18:32
Speaker 1: US Virgin Islands complicit in the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein,
• 18:36
Speaker 1: saying the sex predator gave high ranking officials their money,
• 18:40
Speaker 1: advice and favors in exchange for looking the other way
• 18:44
Speaker 1: when he trafficked young women to be abused on his
• 18:46
Speaker 1: island get away. Pretty powerful accusations, right. The sad part
• 18:51
Speaker 1: is these accusations are true, and it's all documented. We
• 18:55
Speaker 1: know about the relationships that Jeffrey Epstein had on this island.
• 18:59
Speaker 1: We know oh that he was donating money and spreading
• 19:02
Speaker 1: it around and we also know because of these donations,
• 19:06
Speaker 1: because of him spreading around money, he was given preferential
• 19:10
Speaker 1: treatment on the island, including all sorts of tax breaks.
• 19:15
Speaker 1: And if the US Virgin Islands is so gung ho
• 19:18
Speaker 1: on getting money, why would they be giving people like
• 19:20
Speaker 1: Epstein billionaires and millionaires tax breaks in the first place.
• 19:24
Speaker 1: For two decades and for long after JPMC exited Epstein
• 19:29
Speaker 1: as a client, the entity that most directly failed to
• 19:32
Speaker 1: protect public safety and most actively facilitated and benefited from
• 19:38
Speaker 1: Epstein's continued criminal activity was the plaintiff in this case,
• 19:43
Speaker 1: the USVII government itself. The bank said in the Manhattan
• 19:47
Speaker 1: Federal Court filing, you know two things can be true
• 19:50
Speaker 1: at once, right, and in this case, that's certainly what
• 19:54
Speaker 1: we're seeing. A the bank facilitated Epstein, no doubt about it,
• 19:58
Speaker 1: zero doubts about the fact that the financial sector was
• 20:02
Speaker 1: holding Epstein's dick throughout this whole entire thing. And there's
• 20:06
Speaker 1: also no doubt that the US Virgin Islands also filed
• 20:09
Speaker 1: these girls. And now they're over here with their hands
• 20:13
Speaker 1: in the cookie jar, hoping to extract some more sweets.
• 20:16
Speaker 1: I mean, one hundred and twenty five million wasn't enough.
• 20:20
Speaker 1: Let's just keep going and let's take every last dollar
• 20:23
Speaker 1: that's in that estate so that we can do what
• 20:26
Speaker 1: with it. Give it to the government of the USVII
• 20:29
Speaker 1: so they can waste it on bullshit. Meanwhile, like I said,
• 20:33
Speaker 1: how many girls that are nameless, that never came out
• 20:36
Speaker 1: in public, that have never talked about what happened aren't
• 20:40
Speaker 1: gonna get one single dollar in restitution for what they
• 20:43
Speaker 1: went through. That number is literally in the hundreds. Rather
• 20:47
Speaker 1: than stop him, they helped them, JP Morgan said, citing
• 20:51
Speaker 1: millions of dollars in tax incentives and other benefits the
• 20:54
Speaker 1: territory gave Epstein. That claim comes as JP Morgan defends
• 20:59
Speaker 1: itself against a civil lawsuit by the Virgin Islands, which
• 21:02
Speaker 1: alleges that the bank knowingly enabled Epstein sex trafficking and
• 21:07
Speaker 1: benefited from it when he was a customer from nineteen
• 21:10
Speaker 1: ninety eight through twenty thirteen. They all benefited from it.
• 21:15
Speaker 1: And now that it's time to answer before the man, Well,
• 21:19
Speaker 1: it's everybody else's fault, and everybody else was the one
• 21:23
Speaker 1: who was a key component for what Epstein had going on.
• 21:27
Speaker 1: But the reality is all of these people were key components,
• 21:31
Speaker 1: and none of this could have taken place if people
• 21:34
Speaker 1: like this didn't play ball. But the fact is people
• 21:37
Speaker 1: are greedy, The fact is government officials and bureaucrats are corrupt,
• 21:42
Speaker 1: And the fact is people like Jeffrey Epstein know that
• 21:45
Speaker 1: and utilize it to their benefit. A spokesman for the
• 21:49
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands Attorney General's Office told CNBC on Tuesday, JP
• 21:53
Speaker 1: Morgan Chase facilitated Jeffrey Epstein's abuse and should be held
• 21:57
Speaker 1: accountable for violating the law. They should, and so should you.
• 22:02
Speaker 1: But here's the thing. You're not holding anyone accountable. You're
• 22:05
Speaker 1: holding people financially accountable. But how many of these people
• 22:09
Speaker 1: are going to jail? How many criminal cases has the
• 22:13
Speaker 1: USBI brought against any of these people? Oh, I can
• 22:16
Speaker 1: tell you the answer is zero. So all of the
• 22:19
Speaker 1: grand standing and the whoing and the hawing about justice,
• 22:23
Speaker 1: it's all bs. It's just nothing more than a vehicle
• 22:27
Speaker 1: for them to use to further their own ambitions of
• 22:30
Speaker 1: getting a few more bucks. This is an obvious attempt
• 22:34
Speaker 1: to shift blame away from JP Morgan Chase, which had
• 22:37
Speaker 1: a legal responsibility to report the evidence in its possession
• 22:41
Speaker 1: of Epstein's human trafficking and failed to do so. The
• 22:44
Speaker 1: spokesman said, you know what's so crazy about that that
• 22:48
Speaker 1: all the way up until Jeffrey Epstein's arrest, he was
• 22:51
Speaker 1: bringing girls into the Virgin Islands.
• 22:53
Speaker 2: How do we know that?
• 22:54
Speaker 1: Well, people who worked at the airport talked about it.
• 22:57
Speaker 1: They were very candid about what Epstein was up too,
• 23:00
Speaker 1: and the fact that little girls were getting off those planes.
• 23:03
Speaker 1: So where were all the customs agents down in the
• 23:05
Speaker 1: US Virgin Islands? Where was the police force, Where was
• 23:09
Speaker 1: the Special Task Force to deal with human trafficking? Oh,
• 23:13
Speaker 1: that's right, there were nowhere to be found. And they're
• 23:15
Speaker 1: the ones who have subpoena power. They're the ones who
• 23:17
Speaker 1: can arrescue. So all of the claims about anyone else
• 23:21
Speaker 1: stepping up and stopping Jeffrey Epstein, that's a bunch of
• 23:24
Speaker 1: bullshit in my opinion. The bank's filing on Tuesday asked
• 23:28
Speaker 1: Judge Jed Raykoff to deny a motion by the US
• 23:32
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands that would preclude JP Morgan from raising certain
• 23:36
Speaker 1: so called affirmative defenses to the lawsuit. Usvii's motion seeks
• 23:41
Speaker 1: to strike only those specific defenses that threatened to expose
• 23:46
Speaker 1: its relationship with Epstein. The filing said, look, they're not
• 23:49
Speaker 1: wrong here, and I'll tell you what the USVII is
• 23:52
Speaker 1: playing with fire. If I was one of these survivors,
• 23:55
Speaker 1: I'd be starting a lawsuit against the US Virgin Islands
• 23:58
Speaker 1: to get restitution, especially if I got abused there. So
• 24:02
Speaker 1: you mean to tell me I get abused on your
• 24:04
Speaker 1: island under your watch, but somehow you pocket one hundred
• 24:08
Speaker 1: and twenty five million and I get un goats. Yeah, okay,
• 24:11
Speaker 1: that's gonna go over well. In a footnote, the filing
• 24:14
Speaker 1: said the Virgin Islands had three governors over the past
• 24:18
Speaker 1: sixteen years, John DeJong, Kenneth Mapp, and current Governor Albert
• 24:23
Speaker 1: Bryan Jr. As detailed here in Epstein had close ties
• 24:28
Speaker 1: to each of them. That footnote said, and that is
• 24:31
Speaker 1: not a lie either. All of those people had ties
• 24:33
Speaker 1: to Epstein, money connections, the whole thing. And all of
• 24:37
Speaker 1: these local bureaucrats that are now showing up to the
• 24:41
Speaker 1: party talking about justice needs to be served after they've
• 24:44
Speaker 1: been filling their pockets with Epstein's plunder.
• 24:47
Speaker 2: Are some of the biggest goofballs.
• 24:49
Speaker 1: Going and they should be exposed for their bullshit Earlier Tuesday,
• 24:53
Speaker 1: another court filing for the first time revealed that Brian
• 24:56
Speaker 1: is scheduled to be deposed June sixth for the lawsuit.
• 25:00
Speaker 1: A source familiar with the situation told CNBC that JP
• 25:04
Speaker 1: Morgan requested the deposition of Brian, who has been governor
• 25:08
Speaker 1: since twenty nineteen. Well, this is a trap from mister Bryan,
• 25:13
Speaker 1: no doubt about it, and he better be very, very
• 25:15
Speaker 1: careful he doesn't talk himself straight into a perjury charge. J. P. Morgan,
• 25:20
Speaker 1: CEO of Jamie Diamond, is scheduled to be deposed in
• 25:23
Speaker 1: the suit Friday. In New York, Raykoff last week authorized
• 25:28
Speaker 1: the Virgin Islands to serve as subpoena for Tesla's CEO
• 25:31
Speaker 1: Elon Musk on his electric car company, seeking documents that
• 25:35
Speaker 1: Musk may have showing any communications involving him, Epstein and
• 25:40
Speaker 1: JP Morgan. That subpoena is based on suspicion by the
• 25:44
Speaker 1: territory that Epstein may have referred Musk or tried to
• 25:48
Speaker 1: refer him to the bank as a client. Epstein, a
• 25:51
Speaker 1: former friend of Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, maintained a
• 25:55
Speaker 1: home on a private island in the territory where he
• 25:58
Speaker 1: sexually abused many young women over the years, he used
• 26:02
Speaker 1: money from his JP Morgan accounts to pay women and
• 26:05
Speaker 1: fly them there. In its filing Tuesday, JP Morgan noted
• 26:09
Speaker 1: that when Epstein was released from a Florida jail after
• 26:13
Speaker 1: pleading guilty to procuring a minor for sex, he tried
• 26:17
Speaker 1: to arrange for his parole to be transferred from the
• 26:20
Speaker 1: state to the Virgin Islands, where he registered as a
• 26:23
Speaker 1: sex offender. He also maintained his primary residence in the territory,
• 26:28
Speaker 1: which put him under USVII law enforcements, direct jurisdiction and supervision.
• 26:33
Speaker 1: The filing said, remember, as bad as JP Morgan is,
• 26:38
Speaker 1: and they're bad as hell, they didn't have the power
• 26:41
Speaker 1: to arrest Jeffrey Epstein. They didn't have the power to
• 26:43
Speaker 1: seize his bank account. They didn't have the power to
• 26:46
Speaker 1: step in and drop some RICO indictments on them. But
• 26:50
Speaker 1: the US Virgin Islands did. Why didn't they do that?
• 26:53
Speaker 1: Why didn't they step up and stop Jeffrey Epstein from
• 26:56
Speaker 1: doing what he was doing. That's really the only question
• 27:00
Speaker 1: that should be asked. I don't care about all of
• 27:02
Speaker 1: the other bullshit. I don't care about them whitewashing it
• 27:05
Speaker 1: and I don't care about them trying to make excuses.
• 27:07
Speaker 1: The fact is they helped Epstein, they furthered his criminal enterprise,
• 27:12
Speaker 1: and not only that, they profited from it. So now
• 27:15
Speaker 1: not only did they profit from the crimes, they're going
• 27:18
Speaker 1: to profit when it's time for restitution, even though they
• 27:22
Speaker 1: never held anyone responsible. So how in the hell is
• 27:25
Speaker 1: the US Virgin Islands entitled to any money here whatsoever?
• 27:29
Speaker 1: Can somebody please explain that to me? The bank alleges
• 27:33
Speaker 1: there was a decades long quid pro quo between Epstein
• 27:36
Speaker 1: and the USVII government that took three forms. Yes yes, yes, First,
• 27:43
Speaker 1: high ranking USVII officials spent years courting and gladly accepting
• 27:48
Speaker 1: Epstein's influence in the forms of gifts, favors, and political donations,
• 27:53
Speaker 1: the filing said. Second, in exchange, USVII granted Epstein preferential
• 27:59
Speaker 1: treatment in the form of more than redacted amount million
• 28:03
Speaker 1: in tax incentives, among other benefits. Third, and most troubling,
• 28:08
Speaker 1: USVII protected Epstein, fostering the perfect conditions for Epstein's criminal
• 28:13
Speaker 1: conduct to continue undetected. The problem is it wasn't undetected.
• 28:18
Speaker 1: You knew about it too. JP Morgan don't act like
• 28:20
Speaker 1: you had no idea. You're both culpable. So it's like
• 28:24
Speaker 1: watching the Taliban and al Qaeda argue about.
• 28:27
  Speaker 2: Who's right here.
• 28:28
Speaker 1: Basically, specifically, the filing says, Epstein supported the candidacy of
• 28:32
Speaker 1: Stacy Plaskett, the Virgin Islands delegate to the US House
• 28:36
Speaker 1: of Representatives, after she worked for the USVII Economic Development Authority,
• 28:42
Speaker 1: which awarded Epstein massive tax benefits. Plaskett also worked at
• 28:47
Speaker 1: a law firm that represented him in business affairs, The
• 28:51
Speaker 1: filing says, and keep in mind, Stacey Plaskett, she had
• 28:54
Speaker 1: a very prominent position during the January sixth committee. Right,
• 28:59
Speaker 1: So how is it that all like this who had
• 29:01
Speaker 1: such ties to Epstein is getting such a prominent position. Well,
• 29:05
Speaker 1: I'll tell you why, because nobody in the Congress or
• 29:08
Speaker 1: the Senate gives one single fuck about what Epstein did
• 29:11
Speaker 1: not unless they can use it politically to hit one
• 29:14
Speaker 1: of their enemies over the head with Besides that, the
• 29:17
Speaker 1: people who were affected, the fact that they were laundering money,
• 29:20
Speaker 1: the fact that the most powerful people in our society
• 29:24
Speaker 1: were hanging out with this dude, none of that matters.
• 29:27
Speaker 1: Epstein and his employees donated more than thirty thousand dollars
• 29:30
Speaker 1: to Plaskets congressional races, according to the Bank.
• 29:33
Speaker 2: So no Julie K.
• 29:35
Speaker 1: Brown article no hard charging journalist wants to dive in
• 29:39
Speaker 1: to Stacey Plaskett and her relationship with Epstein. Oh I
• 29:43
Speaker 1: wonder why could that have something to do with Once again,
• 29:47
Speaker 1: circling back to the comment made by Nancy Pelosi's daughter,
• 29:50
Speaker 1: some of our faives are going to get caught up
• 29:53
Speaker 1: in this. I feel like the same kind of dive
• 29:56
Speaker 1: that was done on Acosta should be done here. And
• 29:59
Speaker 1: if the legac media was serious about their shit, they'd
• 30:02
  Speaker 1: be doing it.
• 30:03
  Speaker 2: But they're not.
• 30:04
Speaker 1: They're more interested in dividing you with carefully curated and
• 30:08
Speaker 1: crafted wedge issues. The filing said that Epstein's primary conduit
• 30:14
Speaker 1: for spreading the money and influence through Virgin Island's government
• 30:18
Speaker 1: was then First Lady Cecialed du Jong, the wife of
• 30:21
Speaker 1: former Governor de Jong, who served from two thousand and
• 30:24
Speaker 1: seven through twenty fifteen, and despite her public role and
• 30:28
Speaker 1: official duties, First Lady de Jong managed Epstein's USVII based companies,
• 30:34
Speaker 1: receiving from Epstein a salary, bonuses and other benefits. The
• 30:39
Speaker 1: filing said Now, remember this is the first lady of
• 30:43
Speaker 1: the island. Okay, her dude was the governor, the man,
• 30:47
Speaker 1: the top dog on the island, and she was packing
• 30:51
Speaker 1: her purse full of Epstein's money. And the USVII wants
• 30:55
Speaker 1: to talk about other people being complicit. Take a look
• 30:58
Speaker 1: in the mirror. Much of the details of the claims
• 31:03
Speaker 1: related to Cecile DeJong are redacted in the filing, but
• 31:06
Speaker 1: in one section, the bank says that in addition to
• 31:09
Speaker 1: working for his companies, she extensively lobbied on his behalf
• 31:13
Speaker 1: with government officials, including the governor. Yeah, there's no conflict
• 31:17
Speaker 1: of interest there. Everything's on the up and up. In
• 31:21
Speaker 1: another heavily redacted section, the filing says the Virgin Islands
• 31:25
Speaker 1: aided Epstein's criminal activity. The specific allegations as to how
• 31:29
Speaker 1: the government did that is blacked out. Well, by letting
• 31:32
Speaker 1: them operate taking money to look the other way. We
• 31:36
Speaker 1: all know how this scam works, and it's been going
• 31:38
Speaker 1: on forever. You go to an impoverished nation or a
• 31:42
Speaker 1: nation that's having some issues financially, you bring a bunch
• 31:45
Speaker 1: of money and you start spreading that money around to
• 31:48
Speaker 1: the local officials, and before you know it. Everybody wants
• 31:51
Speaker 1: to play ball, and now you have a bunch of
• 31:53
Speaker 1: government officials on the payroll who are corrupt, and you
• 31:56
Speaker 1: can do whatever you want. And that's basically what Epstein
• 31:59
Speaker 1: had going on down here. In another heavily redacted section,
• 32:03
Speaker 1: the filing says the Virgin Islands aided Epstein's criminal activity.
• 32:07
Speaker 1: The specific allegations as to how the government did that
• 32:11
Speaker 1: is blacked out, almost completely redacted. Is a section of
• 32:15
Speaker 1: the filing entitled, Epstein exerted influence over usvis sex offender
• 32:20
Speaker 1: legislation and received lax monitoring. And unfortunately that was the story.
• 32:27
Speaker 1: Wherever Epstein was right lax monitoring, he caught a deal.
• 32:31
Speaker 1: Everybody hooked them up. You had sy Vance's office, the
• 32:35
Speaker 1: Prosecutor's office in New York arguing that Jeffrey Epstein shouldn't
• 32:39
Speaker 1: be classified as a dangerous pedophile. So that just tells
• 32:42
Speaker 1: you everything you need to know about the connections this
• 32:45
Speaker 1: idiot had. In one redacted section, the bank's lawyers wrote,
• 32:50
Speaker 1: while the USVII did conduct site visits of Epstein's residences,
• 32:54
  Speaker 1: those inspections.
• 32:56
Speaker 2: Were cursory at best.
• 32:58
Speaker 1: Despite the direct infusions of lucrative tax incentives redacted and
• 33:03
Speaker 1: lacks enforcement. Epstein still could not freely transport and exploit
• 33:08
Speaker 1: young women without assistance from the USVI government officials. Look,
• 33:13
Speaker 1: these are very very serious allegations, but allegations that I
• 33:18
Speaker 1: think have legs. There's no way Epstein could do this
• 33:21
Speaker 1: without the help of these corrupt officials on the island
• 33:24
Speaker 1: point blank period. In exchange for Epstein's cash and gifts,
• 33:29
Speaker 1: USVII made life easy for him. The filing said. The
• 33:32
Speaker 1: government mitigated any burdens from his sex offender status, and
• 33:37
Speaker 1: it made sure that no one asked too many questions
• 33:40
Speaker 1: about his transport and keeping of young girls on his island.
• 33:44
Speaker 1: The lawsuit against J. P. Morgan was filed in late
• 33:47
Speaker 1: December by then Virgin Island's Attorney General Denise George, who
• 33:52
Speaker 1: a month earlier had obtained a one hundred and five
• 33:54
Speaker 1: million dollar settlement from Epstein's estate. It is absurd, its obscene,
• 33:59
Speaker 1: and and they should be forced to pay all that
• 34:01
Speaker 1: money back, but pay it to these survivors, and not
• 34:04
Speaker 1: only pay that money back, but compounded with interest as well,
• 34:08
Speaker 1: because they basically stole from girls that were abused by Epstein.
• 34:12
Speaker 1: You really think the USVII had damages done to it.
• 34:16
Speaker 1: They were the ones helping this dude out, so I
• 34:18
Speaker 1: don't want to hear shit from them. And I've been
• 34:20
Speaker 1: saying this for how long now. I'm shocked that took
• 34:23
Speaker 1: this long for JP Morgan and their lawyers to jump
• 34:27
Speaker 1: on board and start pointing the finger at the US
• 34:30
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands because these dudes are culpable and they're certainly complicit.
• 34:36
Speaker 1: Days after she filed that suit, Brian fire George, who
• 34:40
Speaker 1: had been Attorney General for four years. The governor fired George,
• 34:44
Speaker 1: reportedly because she failed to alert him that she planned
• 34:47
Speaker 1: to sue JP Morgan, which is the largest bank in
• 34:50
Speaker 1: the United States. Despite George's firing, the Virgin Islands has
• 34:55
Speaker 1: continued to aggressively pursue its litigation against the bank. On Tuesday,
• 35:00
Speaker 1: there was another in a series of private telephone conferences
• 35:04
Speaker 1: with Raykoff over the case. A public docket entry summarized
• 35:08
Speaker 1: the outcome of that conference, which included lawyers for the
• 35:12
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands, JP Morgan, former JP Morgan executives, Jess Staley,
• 35:17
Speaker 1: and an Epstein accuser who has a separate, similar lawsuit
• 35:21
Speaker 1: pending against the bank. JP Morgan is trying to shift
• 35:25
Speaker 1: any legal liability it may have in the suit to Staley,
• 35:28
Speaker 1: who was a point of contact for Epstein at the bank,
• 35:31
Speaker 1: and that's bullshit as well, JP Morgan. They have to
• 35:34
Speaker 1: suffer Jess Staley. He has to pay the price, and
• 35:38
Speaker 1: so should the US Virgin Islands. But instead all the
• 35:41
Speaker 1: USVII has done here is profit. The deposition of Albert
• 35:46
Speaker 1: Bryant Junior is ordered to proceed on June sixth, the
• 35:49
Speaker 1: docket entry says. The entry also says that all parties
• 35:54
Speaker 1: other than JP Morgan are ordered to contact former officers
• 35:58
Speaker 1: and directors of JP Morgan only through council. CNBC requested
• 36:03
Speaker 1: comment from lawyers for the Virgin Islands and from JP
• 36:06
Speaker 1: Morgan about the conference on Tuesday. Epstein, sixty six, died
• 36:11
Speaker 1: by suicide, apparently in a Manhattan jail in August of
• 36:15
Speaker 1: twenty nineteen, a month after he was arrested and charged
• 36:18
Speaker 1: in Manhattan federal court with child sex trafficking. Epstein pleaded
• 36:23
Speaker 1: guilty in two thousand and eight to a Florida state
• 36:26
Speaker 1: charge of soliciting sex from an underage girl and was
• 36:29
Speaker 1: sentenced to thirteen months in jail. His prior criminal case
• 36:33
Speaker 1: and Stinton jail which were known to JP Morgan at
• 36:35
Speaker 1: the time, came in the middle of his tenure as
• 36:38
Speaker 1: a customer of the bank, where he maintained accounts from
• 36:41
Speaker 1: nineteen ninety eight until the bank severed its relationship with
• 36:44
Speaker 1: him in twenty thirteen. Epstein became a customer of Deutsche
• 36:48
Speaker 1: Bank after that. Deutsche Bank last week agreed to settle
• 36:53
Speaker 1: a Manhattan federal court lawsuit filed by another Epstein accuser
• 36:57
Speaker 1: who alleged that bank enabled and benefit from his sex trafficking.
• 37:02
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank will pay Epstein victims seventy five million in
• 37:05
Speaker 1: that deal. Now, seventy five million dollars. That's a lot
• 37:09
Speaker 1: of money, isn't it. Well, how is it that the
• 37:11
Speaker 1: US Virgin Islands gets more than that? Nobody can explain
• 37:15
Speaker 1: that to me. Deutsche Bank in twenty twenty agreed to
• 37:19
Speaker 1: pay one hundred and fifty million dollar fine to New
• 37:22
Speaker 1: York's financial regulators for its dealings with Epstein and other issues.
• 37:27
Speaker 1: We acknowledge our error onboarding Epstein in twenty thirteen and
• 37:31
Speaker 1: the weaknesses in our processes, and have learned from our
• 37:34
Speaker 1: mistakes and our shortcomings, bank spokesman Dylan Riddle said last week. Yeah, Okay, sure,
• 37:41
Speaker 1: I'm sure you guys learned a real hard lesson considering
• 37:44
Speaker 1: nobody ever went to jail and not one dollar came
• 37:47
Speaker 1: out of your own pocket. But the whole USVII thing
• 37:50
Speaker 1: from the jump has been laughable to me. As you
• 37:53
Speaker 1: all know, it's well documented. How many episodes do I
• 37:56
Speaker 1: have in the catalog where I'm going on and on
• 37:58
Speaker 1: and on about the read shown by the US Virgin
• 38:01
Speaker 1: Islands And it's not in the pursuit of justice. They've
• 38:04
Speaker 1: wrapped it in that flag, but it's not in the
• 38:06
Speaker 1: pursuit of justice. It's in the pursuit of greed. Mass
• 38:10
Speaker 1: is justice, and it's about time somebody called them out
• 38:13
Speaker 1: on it. All right, folks, that's gonna do it for
• 38:16
Speaker 1: this one. All of the information that goes with the
• 38:18
Speaker 1: episode can be found in the description box.
• 38:22
Speaker 2: Dude, you have a rive.
• 38:24
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
• 38:28
Speaker 1: As the lawsuit between JP Morgan and the United States
• 38:32
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands continues to work its way through the system,
• 38:36
Speaker 1: there have been a lot of allegations fired off from
• 38:39
Speaker 1: both sides, and in the latest salvo, JP Morgan's really
• 38:43
Speaker 1: taking off the gloves and letting loose as far as
• 38:47
Speaker 1: the allegations that they're making, and these allegations that they're
• 38:51
Speaker 1: making for those of you who might not have been
• 38:53
Speaker 1: following this story for a while, they're all true and
• 38:56
Speaker 1: there are years and years of receipts that back.
• 38:59
  Speaker 2: It all up.
• 39:00
Speaker 1: So today we have an article from lawn Crime talking
• 39:02
Speaker 1: more about the corruption down in the US Virgin Islands
• 39:06
Speaker 1: and how the US Virgin Islands is now being called
• 39:10
Speaker 1: on the carpet for their hypocrisy. Today's article is from
• 39:13
Speaker 1: lawn Crime and the headline Jeffrey Epstein had close ties
• 39:17
Speaker 1: to Virgin Islands governor who fired crusading attorney general behind
• 39:22
Speaker 1: JP Morgan's suit. According to documents, this article was authored
• 39:28
Speaker 1: by Adam Klasfeld and the crusading ag that was fired
• 39:34
Speaker 1: none other than Denise George, the architect of the one
• 39:37
Speaker 1: hundred and five million dollar pilfering from the Epstein estate.
• 39:40
Speaker 1: So I don't know about crusading ag, more like another
• 39:44
Speaker 1: ag who's trying to enrich her buddies, because if she
• 39:48
Speaker 1: was worried about justice, she would have went after all
• 39:51
Speaker 1: of these people in the Virgin Islands who were helping
• 39:54
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein, who were complicit in setting them up with charities,
• 39:58
Speaker 1: setting them up with all this other bullshit. But no,
• 40:01
Speaker 1: they didn't do that, did they. It was all civil.
• 40:04
Speaker 1: It was all about trying to get some money. And
• 40:06
Speaker 1: if things were as vile down here in the Virgin
• 40:09
Speaker 1: Islands as the US Virgin Islands is contending, don't you
• 40:12
Speaker 1: think that some people that helped Epstein down here at
• 40:16
Speaker 1: the metal level setting up businesses and whatnot should go
• 40:19
Speaker 1: to jail or go to prison. But we didn't hear
• 40:21
Speaker 1: that from Denise George, not once, so you can spare
• 40:25
Speaker 1: me with the whole crusading Attorney general nonsense. I don't
• 40:28
Speaker 1: buy that for a minute. Jeffrey Epstein had close ties
• 40:33
Speaker 1: to the sitting US Virgin Islands governor who fired the
• 40:36
Speaker 1: crusading Attorney general behind a lawsuit accusing JP Morgan Chase
• 40:41
Speaker 1: of knowingly profiting from sex trafficking. A court filing alleges
• 40:45
Speaker 1: JP Morgan has tried to deflect claims that it was
• 40:49
Speaker 1: complicit in Epstein's crimes by pointing the finger back at
• 40:53
Speaker 1: one of its accusers, the Virgin Islands government. And look,
• 40:57
Speaker 1: two things can be right at the same time. I'm
• 41:00
Speaker 1: not sitting here saying that JP Morgan shouldn't be held responsible.
• 41:03
  Speaker 2: They should.
• 41:04
Speaker 1: But for the US Virgin Islands to play this game
• 41:07
Speaker 1: of everybody else's culpable and where not is just looney
• 41:11
Speaker 1: tunes to me, considering that this was all taking place
• 41:15
Speaker 1: at least this part of the conversation in their territory.
• 41:19
Speaker 1: Who had subpoena power down there, who could go and
• 41:22
Speaker 1: arrest people, who could draw a warrant and kicking a door?
• 41:26
Speaker 1: Certainly not JP Morgan. So where was the US Virgin
• 41:29
Speaker 1: Island government when all of this was going down. Oh,
• 41:32
Speaker 1: that's right, there were profiting on the backside of Epstein's bullshit.
• 41:37
Speaker 1: Earlier this week, JP Morgan filed a heavily redacted document
• 41:41
Speaker 1: claiming the Virgin Islands government actively facilitated and benefited from
• 41:46
Speaker 1: Epstein's continued criminal activity. Look, there is nothing incorrect about that,
• 41:51
Speaker 1: And as you all know, I hate JP Morgan, I
• 41:54
Speaker 1: hate the financial sector overall. So I'm not sitting here
• 41:57
Speaker 1: and trying to prop them up. But the facts, the facts,
• 42:00
Speaker 1: two things can be right at once, and in this
• 42:03
Speaker 1: case I see them as both being right, and that
• 42:05
Speaker 1: means JP Morgan and the US Virgin Islands are culpable,
• 42:10
Speaker 1: pretty simple. From where I'm sitting. On Thursday, broad swaths
• 42:14
Speaker 1: of redactions were lifted from the document, including black lines
• 42:18
Speaker 1: shielding passages about sitting Governor Albert Bryan. The USVII had
• 42:23
Speaker 1: three governors over the last sixteen years, John DeJong two
• 42:27
Speaker 1: thousand and seven to twenty fifteen, Kenneth Mapp twenty fifteen
• 42:32
Speaker 1: to twenty nineteen, and Albert Bryan twenty nineteen to the present.
• 42:37
Speaker 1: A footnote of the document notes, as detailed here in
• 42:41
Speaker 1: Epstein had close ties to each of them. So how
• 42:44
Speaker 1: do you get away from that? Right, every single one
• 42:46
Speaker 1: of these governors, every one of these big time politicians
• 42:50
Speaker 1: down in the US Virgin Islands was connected to Jeffrey Epstein.
• 42:54
Speaker 1: And now when the rug gets pulled out from underneath
• 42:56
Speaker 1: everybody and it's time to pay the price, all of
• 43:00
Speaker 1: a sudden, the US Virgin Islands is also crying about
• 43:03
Speaker 1: being a victim. Because if you break it down, what's
• 43:07
Speaker 1: happening here with the US Virgin Islands is they've profited
• 43:11
Speaker 1: on both ends. They profited on the criminal conduct of
• 43:14
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein, and then on the back end of that
• 43:17
Speaker 1: they set themselves up as a victim, and they profited
• 43:22
Speaker 1: from the estate money that should have went to the survivors.
• 43:25
Speaker 1: Money that should have went to survivors that haven't even
• 43:27
Speaker 1: come forward yet. But here we are with the US
• 43:31
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands pocketing one hundred and five million dollars and
• 43:34
Speaker 1: for what facilitating Jeffrey Epstein's bullshit. Boy, that's a nice reward.
• 43:41
Speaker 1: Certain unsealed passages describe donations either solicited by or to Brian.
• 43:46
Speaker 1: In twenty eighteen, the now current USVII Governor Albert Bryant
• 43:51
Speaker 1: facilitated donations by Epstein to usvii's schools and little leagues
• 43:56
Speaker 1: one of those line states. And remember Stacy Plaskett still
• 44:00
Speaker 1: going to visit Epstein all the way up to twenty
• 44:02
Speaker 1: eighteen at the townhouse. She's confirmed that herself. So she
• 44:07
Speaker 1: was there obviously to try and get these funds for
• 44:09
Speaker 1: the US Virgin Islands. And they didn't care that Jeffrey
• 44:12
Speaker 1: Epstein was a registered sex offender.
• 44:14
Speaker 2: What do they care? Nobody cared?
• 44:16
Speaker 1: And you know how I know that because their actions
• 44:19
Speaker 1: speak much louder than their words ever could. Before being
• 44:24
Speaker 1: arrested for sex trafficking, Epstein routinely placed donations to cultivate
• 44:28
Speaker 1: an image of a wealthy philanthropist and often, prosecutors say,
• 44:33
Speaker 1: to gain access to young victims. Is now convicted accomplice
• 44:36
Speaker 1: Glene Maxwell's trial turned up evidence of Epstein's donation to
• 44:41
Speaker 1: Interlocan School of the Arts, a summer camp where Epstein
• 44:45
Speaker 1: met an anonymous fourteen year old victim who testified under
• 44:48
Speaker 1: the pseudonym Jane. And I don't think Maxwell's trial is
• 44:52
Speaker 1: the one that revealed that we were all talking about
• 44:54
Speaker 1: Interlocan School for quite some time. And you have to
• 44:58
Speaker 1: remember that even before Maxwell's trial popped up, there was
• 45:01
Speaker 1: a bunch of court documents out there floating around. There
• 45:04
Speaker 1: was a bunch of commentary from these survivors that just
• 45:09
Speaker 1: hadn't hit the mainstream legacy media, and once the survivors
• 45:13
Speaker 1: took their story to social media, well we see what
• 45:16
Speaker 1: happened in the aftermath of that. JP Morgan's filing contains
• 45:21
Speaker 1: few details about the charitable causes in which Brian allegedly
• 45:25
Speaker 1: sought to insert Epstein, but there are a few clues.
• 45:28
Speaker 1: One exhibit is described as showing Governor Bryan's suggestions for
• 45:33
Speaker 1: which schools Epstein should donate fifty thousand dollars. Another exhibit
• 45:37
Speaker 1: states Albert Bryan asked that the thirty thousand dollars go
• 45:41
Speaker 1: to VI Little League, and this is what they do,
• 45:44
Speaker 1: and this is what they've always done. And remember this
• 45:46
Speaker 1: was all after Epstein was already a registered sex offender.
• 45:50
Speaker 1: So none of these people have that excuse to fall
• 45:52
Speaker 1: back on, and certainly not Stacy Plaski. You would think
• 45:55
Speaker 1: that she'd be under way more pressure here for her
• 45:58
Speaker 1: relationship with Epstein, considering all of her nonsense, all of
• 46:02
Speaker 1: her carrying on. I would think that at some point
• 46:05
Speaker 1: this lady's going to have to answer some hard questions
• 46:08
Speaker 1: about her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. But unfortunately, like we know,
• 46:13
Speaker 1: the legacy media loves to protect their faves. A third
• 46:17
Speaker 1: describes a discussion of a twenty five thousand dollars private
• 46:21
Speaker 1: gift to current Governor Bryan's inaugural committee.
• 46:24
Speaker 2: Oh well, isn't that nice?
• 46:25
Speaker 1: And I'm sure Epstein was just doing it out of
• 46:27
Speaker 1: the kindness of his hard folks. It had nothing to
• 46:30
Speaker 1: do with quid pro quo, It had nothing to do
• 46:32
Speaker 1: with hooking up these politicians down in the US Virgin
• 46:36
Speaker 1: Islands hoping that on the backside, he gets something in return,
• 46:40
Speaker 1: and what did he get in return? Protection able to
• 46:44
Speaker 1: maneuver financially basically, however, he wants tax breaks out the wazoo.
• 46:50
Speaker 1: But yeah, the US Virgin Islands, they're a victim here.
• 46:54
Speaker 1: Days after ex Virgin Islands Attorney General Denise George sue
• 46:58
Speaker 1: JP Morgan over its relatetionationship with Epstein, Brian fired her
• 47:02
Speaker 1: without explanation. Local press reported that George hadn't informed Brian
• 47:07
Speaker 1: about the lawsuit before filing it, but the Governor's office
• 47:11
Speaker 1: downplayed any connection between the two events. George was replaced
• 47:16
Speaker 1: by her deputy, Carol Thomas Jacobs, and the AG's post
• 47:20
Speaker 1: is currently under the stewardship of Ariel K. Smith, whom
• 47:25
Speaker 1: Brian nominated in April. Gives you confidence down there, huh.
• 47:29
Speaker 1: There is zero oversight in places like this, and when
• 47:32
Speaker 1: you have all of these people complicit the way we
• 47:34
Speaker 1: see them complicit here, very easy for a guy like
• 47:37
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein to operate, and not only operate, but the flourish.
• 47:42
Speaker 1: A spokesperson for the governor didn't immediately respond to an
• 47:45
Speaker 1: email requesting comment. Another part of the document details former
• 47:50
Speaker 1: First Lady cecialed Dejong's alleged role in tweaking the Virgin
• 47:54
Speaker 1: Island sex offender legislation to Epstein's liking. Not only do
• 47:59
Speaker 1: you have this happen happening with her working towards getting
• 48:02
Speaker 1: the sex offender registry buttoned up for Epstein, you had
• 48:06
Speaker 1: the New York prosecutors and I'll keep saying this, arguing
• 48:10
Speaker 1: on Epstein's behalf that he wasn't going to be a
• 48:12
Speaker 1: repeat offender, that he was a level one offender, not
• 48:16
Speaker 1: a Level three offender. Can anyone explain that? Has anyone
• 48:19
Speaker 1: really asked the New York Prosecutor's office what they were
• 48:22
Speaker 1: up to and why they were making that argument considering
• 48:25
Speaker 1: who we were dealing with, of course not Let's hear
• 48:28
  Speaker 1: some more about.
• 48:29
Speaker 2: Alex Acosta airline credit.
• 48:31
Speaker 1: Is there anything you want me to do at the
• 48:33
Speaker 1: hearing tomorrow? Dejen wrote to Epstein before the passage of
• 48:36
Speaker 1: the legislation. According to the document, I am going to
• 48:40
Speaker 1: try to find out if anyone from Justice has been
• 48:43
Speaker 1: asked to testify again on Monday. JP Morgan claims that
• 48:47
Speaker 1: Epstein's personal attorney, Maria Hodge, exchanged emails and phone calls
• 48:52
Speaker 1: with the Territory's Department of Justice and Attorney General about
• 48:56
Speaker 1: changes to the bill, which ultimately weren't to with satisfaction.
• 49:01
Speaker 1: Imagine being a child molester, a sex offender and still
• 49:04
Speaker 1: calling the shots down here the way he was. So
• 49:07
Speaker 1: don't tell me about the US Virgin Islands getting any
• 49:10
Speaker 1: more money. One hundred and five million isn't enough, I
• 49:13
Speaker 1: guess not, because their greed is once again showing here,
• 49:17
Speaker 1: but this time they might pay for it first, Lady DeJong,
• 49:21
Speaker 1: the bank says, offered Epstein comfort. I know this was
• 49:24
Speaker 1: a horrible week, and I'm really sorry about how things
• 49:27
Speaker 1: panned out, she allegedly wrote. Not being able to take
• 49:31
Speaker 1: someone out their word is incredibly frustrating. However, all is
• 49:35
Speaker 1: not lost, and we will figure something out by coming
• 49:37
Speaker 1: up with a game plan to get around these obstacles.
• 49:40
Speaker 1: In other words, we'll come up with a game plan
• 49:42
Speaker 1: to get around the laws that were put on the
• 49:44
  Speaker 1: books because you're a child molester. But don't worry, we'll
• 49:47
Speaker 1: get around that because I'm married to mister DeJong here
• 49:51
Speaker 1: and I can do whatever I want. So my question is,
• 49:53
Speaker 1: where's the rage brigade?
• 49:55
  Speaker 2: Oh? That's right.
• 49:56
Speaker 1: They only show up when it's convenient to them and
• 49:58
Speaker 1: their political narratives. JP Morgan claims that DeJong delivered by
• 50:04
Speaker 1: crafting a plan to travel from and to the Virgin
• 50:07
Speaker 1: Islands with the help of then local politicians. So here's
• 50:12
Speaker 1: the facts, folks. Okay, they're all culpable, JP Morgan, Virgin Islands,
• 50:18
Speaker 1: all of those politicians that were in office, that were
• 50:22
Speaker 1: in bed with Epstein, all of them, they're all culpable.
• 50:25
Speaker 1: So I'm going to be interested to see how this
• 50:27
Speaker 1: gets responded to by the US Virgin Islands moving forward
• 50:31
Speaker 1: here with their next court filing, because you know they're
• 50:34
Speaker 1: going to respond to this. And honestly, the US Virgin Islands,
• 50:38
Speaker 1: in my opinion, has really stepped in it here. I
• 50:41
Speaker 1: don't think they expected a full frontal as salt the
• 50:43
Speaker 1: way they're getting it from JP Morgan. I don't think
• 50:46
Speaker 1: they expected them to turn the tables the way they have.
• 50:49
Speaker 1: And I think that the US Virgin Islands has now
• 50:52
Speaker 1: been caught flat foot because for years their buddies in
• 50:56
Speaker 1: the legacy media didn't really dig into this story. I mean,
• 50:59
Speaker 1: a mad and stacy plasket up there yelling and screaming
• 51:03
Speaker 1: from an ivory tower about this that or the other thing. Meanwhile,
• 51:06
Speaker 1: she's paling around with Jeffrey Epstein. Give me a break already.
• 51:10
Speaker 1: So now the ball's in the court of the legacy media.
• 51:14
Speaker 1: Are they going to do their job or are they
• 51:16
Speaker 1: going to continue to whitewash their faves participation in Jeffrey
• 51:21
Speaker 1: Epstein's criminal enterprise? All right, folks, that's going to do
• 51:25
Speaker 1: it for this one. All of the information that goes
• 51:27
Speaker 1: with the episode can be found in the description box.
