DC Kids Walk the World Cup Field | Washington DC News
Seventeen young D.C. soccer stars, ages 10 and under, got a World Cup thrill ride—walking the field with pros in Philly, even though the main event wasn’t in their city. Part of the Open Goal Project, these kids from underserved communities were chosen for a special program to bring global soccer magic home. With a grant and fundraising, they traveled with parents, donned custom jerseys, and held hands with legends as they stood for anthems.
