And today we're doing a little review of shapes we've covered before — but with a twist. Luna: Oh, I love a twist. What is it? Lucas: We're going to talk about the crescent and the star again, but this time we'll use them in full sentences describing the moon and stars. Luna: Ooh, I remember those shapes. 新月形 is crescent, and 星形 is star. Lucas: Exactly. And today's phrases: 呢個係新月形 — this is a crescent shape. 呢個係星形 — this is a star shape. And then we have 個月亮係新月形 — the moon is crescent-shaped. And 粒星係星形 — the star is star-shaped. Luna: Let me try. 呢個係新月形. 呢個係星形. Lucas: Perfect. Your tones are getting really solid. Now, 個月亮係新月形 — say it with me: 個月亮係新月形. Luna: 個月亮係新月形. Lucas: Great. And 粒星係星形. Luna: 粒星係星形. That one feels natural. Lucas: It should. You've been practicing. So imagine we're looking at the night sky. The moon is a crescent. How would you say that? Luna: 個月亮係新月形. Lucas: Beautiful. And a star is star-shaped. 粒星係星形. Luna: 粒星係星形. I'll say: 今晚個月亮係咩形狀? What shape is the moon tonight? You answer. Luna: 個月亮係新月形. Lucas: Perfect. And if I ask: 粒星係咩形狀? Luna: 粒星係星形. Lucas: You nailed it.
