- 0:00Welcome to the Guitar Jet Podcast, where you'll skyrocket your knowledge of theory,
- 0:05techniques, and fundamentals for guitar. Hey, and welcome to the guitar Jet
- 0:10Podcast. I'm your host Miles, and in today's episode, we're going to
- 0:14talk about triad arpeggios. If you like what you hear in today's episode,
- 0:17then go ahead and subscribe to the Guitar Jet Podcast. Okay, I recently
- 0:21made a YouTube video titled five Easy Tapping our Peggios and in that video,
- 0:25all the arpeggios I teach our triad our peggios or suspended our peggios. To
- 0:30understand this, I'll define three terms for you triads, suspended, and our
- 0:34peggios. I'll tell you the coord formulas for triads and suspended chords after I've
- 0:39defined them. Now, let's start with triads. Triads are three note chords
- 0:44and there are four types major, minor, diminished, and augmented. The
- 0:48important thing to remember about triads is the fact that they're all constructed with a
- 0:53root note and a variation of a third and a fifth. Now I'll tell
- 0:57you about suspended chords. Suspended chords, also called sus chords, are also
- 1:03three note chords, and there are two types SUS two and Sus four.
- 1:07They're generally not considered tryabs because they lack a third interval. Now, I'll
- 1:11define our peggios our peggios simply put our chords that are played one note at
- 1:15a time. So when I talk about triad and suspended our peggios, I'm
- 1:19referring to those chord types being played one notte at a time, rather than
- 1:23in harmony. For example, in my video about tapping our peggios, I
- 1:26broke down these five chords and showed how to play them with tapping a minor,
- 1:30a major, a diminished, augmented ass two. You're able to tap
- 1:36these ar peggios by identifying the notes and interval structures of these chords and applying
- 1:41them to a single string. And like I told you earlier, i'll give
- 1:44you those chord formulas now. The major R peggio formula is one three five.
- 1:49The minor R peggio formula is one flat three five. The diminished our
- 1:55pegio formula is one flat three flat five. The augmented our peggie formula is
- 2:00one three sharp five. The SUS two our peggio formula is one two five.
- 2:07The sus four our peggio formula is one four five. When remembering the
- 2:13suspended our peggio formulas, just remember that every sess chord has a root and
- 2:16a fifth, and if it's sus two, it has a second, and
- 2:20if it's sus four it has a fourth. Pretty simple, right overall,
- 2:24learning single string tryad our peggios is one of the best ways to improve your
- 2:28phrasing and level up your technique. Thanks for listening to the guitar Jet podcast
