• 0:55
SPEAKER_02: It's so bad that my daughter has now bought a portable AC unit and she is living in the future while I am living in the past.
• 1:04
SPEAKER_04: So your daughter's living her best life, and you're like, you're like, honey, may I come into your room, please, and so get some of your AC.
• 1:13
SPEAKER_02: Also, may I come to your house?
• 1:15
SPEAKER_02: Because she doesn't live with us anymore.
• 1:16
SPEAKER_02: So I've got to go there.
• 1:18
SPEAKER_04: Why don't I come over and share some of that nice cool air, please?
• 1:21
SPEAKER_02: Wow, it is uh it is hot over here, but short-lived, I hope.
• 1:26
SPEAKER_05: Um, but yes, uh You know what you gotta do in these situations, you gotta go to guitar stores every day where it's air conditioned.
• 1:33
SPEAKER_04: And again, just bring your laptop with you.
• 1:36
SPEAKER_02: I need to bring you to the UK so you can see what our guitar stores are like, Bri.
• 1:41
SPEAKER_02: I'm not sure that they're air conditioned.
• 1:43
SPEAKER_02: I mean, some of them may be the posher ones, but definitely not my local.
• 1:52
SPEAKER_01: Tell me there was technology that could fix this, right?
• 1:56
  SPEAKER_05: It's it'll get problem again soon.
• 1:58
SPEAKER_05: You know what to do for next year.
• 1:59
SPEAKER_05: You need to buy like a hundred AC units, and that's your job next year.
• 2:02
  SPEAKER_05: That's right.
• 2:03
  SPEAKER_02: Tell them, flipping them.
• 2:04
SPEAKER_02: I he know I'm not gonna say that I haven't thought about that this weekend, okay?
• 2:11
SPEAKER_01: So uh yeah, it's it's definitely on those things for a little bit, but you know, it's probably better better money in dog collars.
• 2:20
SPEAKER_02: Uh no, there definitely isn't better money in in in dog collars.
• 2:24
SPEAKER_02: Uh no, better money than dog collars.
• 2:26
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, right, dude.
• 2:28
SPEAKER_02: Delivering newspapers is better money than dog collars.
• 2:32
SPEAKER_02: And no one reads newspapers anymore.
• 2:34
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 2:34
SPEAKER_02: Who delivers newspapers in 2026?
• 2:37
  SPEAKER_02: Nobody.
• 2:38
SPEAKER_02: Uh, but also apparently nobody buys dog collars uh or boutique guitar pedals from Oliver FX.
• 2:43
SPEAKER_02: Come on, get your wallets out.
• 2:45
  SPEAKER_02: No, I'm joking.
• 2:46
SPEAKER_05: Um, you know what you need to do?
• 2:49
SPEAKER_05: You need you need to call everybody, like on the internet, one at a time.
• 2:54
SPEAKER_05: Say, hi, this is Richard from Oliver Guitar Pedal FX.
• 2:57
SPEAKER_05: And uh we're having a special today.
• 3:00
SPEAKER_05: And we're while we're doing it, we're selling tone for 20% off.
• 3:04
SPEAKER_01: Oliver guitar pedals and effects.
• 3:06
SPEAKER_02: We have to register that domain now as well.
• 3:09
SPEAKER_02: Well, that'd be the next thing, Brian makes me spend my hard earned money.
• 3:13
SPEAKER_05: You could become a guitar pedal telemarketer.
• 3:16
  SPEAKER_02: There you go.
• 3:17
SPEAKER_02: That has always been my dream, Brian.
• 3:19
SPEAKER_02: Uh, thank you for moving me one step closer.
• 3:21
SPEAKER_02: You know what would make a lot of sense?
• 3:23
SPEAKER_02: Integrated uh air conditioning unit and wireless amplifier.
• 3:30
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because when you're on stage, it could like blow on you.
• 3:32
SPEAKER_02: No, no, for home practice.
• 3:34
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay.
• 3:35
SPEAKER_02: Oh no, also for stage practice.
• 3:37
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 3:38
SPEAKER_02: Free Leslie Rotary Simulator built in.
• 3:41
  SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
• 3:41
  SPEAKER_02: And extra fuzz.
• 3:43
  SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
• 3:44
  SPEAKER_02: Yep.
• 3:44
  SPEAKER_02: Everyone needs extra fuzz.
• 3:46
  SPEAKER_02: And drone tones.
• 3:49
SPEAKER_00: I do love a good drone tone.
• 3:51
SPEAKER_02: Uh anyway, how have we been?
• 3:53
  SPEAKER_02: It's it's been a weekend.
• 3:54
SPEAKER_02: Let me ask you, Bright, how was your weekend?
• 3:56
  SPEAKER_02: Was it good?
• 3:57
SPEAKER_02: Did you do all the right things?
• 4:00
  SPEAKER_02: It was good.
• 4:01
  SPEAKER_02: Yes, it was.
• 4:02
SPEAKER_02: That means you did all the right things.
• 4:04
SPEAKER_02: I did all the right things, yes.
• 4:05
  SPEAKER_02: That's good.
• 4:05
SPEAKER_05: Uh I think so, anyways.
• 4:07
SPEAKER_05: I did the best of my ability, we'll put it that way.
• 4:09
SPEAKER_05: So I'm sure someone more capable could do better.
• 4:14
SPEAKER_02: Without giving anything away, uh, Brian's good lady wife shares a birthday with me.
• 4:20
SPEAKER_02: So this weekend we both had cake, I'm guessing.
• 4:24
SPEAKER_02: Um, some more than others, probably.
• 4:27
SPEAKER_02: Uh, I am struggling with my waistline after this weekend, but yeah, I have uh advanced another year.
• 4:35
SPEAKER_02: Um and uh 23 years old.
• 4:38
  SPEAKER_02: This is great.
• 4:39
SPEAKER_02: It is it was an interesting one.
• 4:42
SPEAKER_02: I got the most wonderful gift, though, from my wife.
• 4:45
SPEAKER_02: She picked me out like a handcrafted British-made guitar strap.
• 4:50
SPEAKER_02: I showed it to to Blake beforehand, and you know what?
• 4:54
SPEAKER_02: That's the thing I love about guitars, is there are so many accessories you can buy for them.
• 5:01
SPEAKER_02: And I've kind of moved away from the plain leather straps to the like fancy jackard type, like kind of vintage y vibed ones.
• 5:10
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I I think there's a there's there's a thing about that that's that's doing it for me, right?
• 5:14
SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm a leather strap guy, as you know.
• 5:16
SPEAKER_01: My grandpa made me leather man, yeah, yeah.
• 5:19
  SPEAKER_01: I'm a leather man.
• 5:20
SPEAKER_01: Um, but I'm starting to kind of get into the that style myself, and um the numbers don't lie.
• 5:27
SPEAKER_01: We sell way more of those than any other style.
• 5:30
SPEAKER_01: People obviously like them quite a lot.
• 5:31
  SPEAKER_05: Interest.
• 5:32
  SPEAKER_05: Mm-hmm.
• 5:33
  SPEAKER_05: Okay, yeah, yeah.
• 5:34
SPEAKER_05: Straight up leather for me, boys.
• 5:36
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I I have read that on a specialist website for sure.
• 5:42
  SPEAKER_05: Yes.
• 5:44
SPEAKER_02: Bright, I was with you.
• 5:46
SPEAKER_02: Like I've got two Levi's padded or Levi's, I don't know how we say it.
• 5:50
SPEAKER_02: I don't know how we spell it.
• 5:52
  SPEAKER_02: Levi's, Levi's, Levi's, whatever.
• 5:54
SPEAKER_02: Uh, I've got two of their like padded three-inch straps, and they're great, but they're kind of a little bit stiff, and they're kind of a little bit like hard work sometimes.
• 6:08
SPEAKER_02: You just want something lightweight that will be.
• 6:10
SPEAKER_05: But the problem is like if it has stretch to it and you do bender stuff, it complicates things.
• 6:16
SPEAKER_02: Well, what what's nice about this uh strap, Bryce, is the back is suede, so it's very grippy on the shoulder.
• 6:22
SPEAKER_02: Once it's in place, it doesn't move.
• 6:24
  SPEAKER_02: But does it stretch?
• 6:26
  SPEAKER_02: No, it doesn't stretch.
• 6:27
SPEAKER_02: It doesn't stretch at all, okay.
• 6:28
SPEAKER_02: No, but it's well, it's made out of non-stretchy material.
• 6:33
SPEAKER_02: It's not like one of those Ernie Ball straps that are like the finger things that kind of stretch forever.
• 6:39
SPEAKER_05: Why don't why don't you just get either the tape measure guitar strap or um what's the other one I've seen?
• 6:46
SPEAKER_05: Uh a chain of bullets.
• 6:49
SPEAKER_05: I've seen the chain of bullets, yeah.
• 6:50
SPEAKER_05: Oh, the warning sign, the the warning uh tape.
• 6:53
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, yeah.
• 6:54
  SPEAKER_02: The police yeah.
• 6:55
SPEAKER_02: I'm not quite punk rock enough to pull that off, but maybe I will uh if you know I get in a new band, which I may or may not do.
• 7:03
SPEAKER_01: Has the police line thing though?
• 7:04
  SPEAKER_01: Has it crossed over?
• 7:05
SPEAKER_01: I feel like that's like it was kind of punk rock when it first came out, and now it's kind of kind of lame.
• 7:12
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 7:14
SPEAKER_05: I want like a pal Perolta guitar uh uh uh strap.
• 7:18
SPEAKER_05: You know what I mean?
• 7:18
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it'd be cool, like some skateboarding stuff, or you know, it'd be a little dark, but you could do I I'm like, I got a thing for the gator graphic.
• 7:26
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
• 7:28
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean the graphic itself is cool, yeah.
• 7:30
SPEAKER_01: The graphic's pretty freaking cool.
• 7:32
  SPEAKER_01: Can't argue with that.
• 7:34
SPEAKER_05: Ah, there's a business there for sure.
• 7:36
  SPEAKER_05: Skateboard guitar straps.
• 7:38
SPEAKER_05: And we know some professional skaters, we just need to make the connection.
• 7:41
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, Steve.
• 7:44
  SPEAKER_05: Yes, Steve.
• 7:46
  SPEAKER_05: Steve Oh, yes.
• 7:49
SPEAKER_02: Uh but yeah, that was a nice unexpected gift that uh made me smile.
• 7:54
SPEAKER_02: Um I don't want to ask what unexpected gift you gave Amanda that made her smile, broy.
• 7:59
SPEAKER_05: Uh that is for our other podcasts.
• 8:02
SPEAKER_02: Uh I can't talk about that on here.
• 8:04
SPEAKER_02: But yes, it was uh, you know, uh another rotation around the sun, uh, earth, whatever you want to do.
• 8:12
SPEAKER_02: Uh but it was good.
• 8:13
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, if that was real.
• 8:14
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, rotation around the earth.
• 8:16
SPEAKER_01: Yes, that's what you did.
• 8:18
  SPEAKER_01: Good.
• 8:19
  SPEAKER_01: It was real good.
• 8:20
SPEAKER_01: Rotate around this disc we're on.
• 8:23
  SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
• 8:25
SPEAKER_05: Uh everybody knows the sun moves, dumbass.
• 8:30
SPEAKER_02: Speaking of uh punk rock, uh, did you guys see this new uh Billy Joe Armstrong Lespool Jr.?
• 8:39
SPEAKER_05: How can you miss it?
• 8:40
SPEAKER_05: How many videos can we make about this amp, boys?
• 8:43
  SPEAKER_05: No, it's the guitar.
• 8:44
SPEAKER_05: Uh oh, I'm talking about the Dookie Amp.
• 8:46
SPEAKER_05: I thought you were talking about the.
• 8:46
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, yeah, no, no.
• 8:47
SPEAKER_02: That also well, we I think we touched on that last week, didn't we?
• 8:51
  SPEAKER_05: Good lord, it's like 45.
• 8:53
SPEAKER_05: Oh man, it's the fender guitar all over again.
• 8:56
  SPEAKER_05: Meaning.
• 8:57
SPEAKER_02: Which people are still talking about Did you say Fender guitar Oliver?
• 9:00
SPEAKER_02: Is that another domain I'm gonna have to register?
• 9:03
SPEAKER_05: F the fender guitar issue, I mean, like the whole fender debacle.
• 9:07
SPEAKER_05: Like that's still going on.
• 9:08
  SPEAKER_05: I'm like, stop.
• 9:09
  SPEAKER_02: That's not going anywhere.
• 9:10
SPEAKER_02: I think Henning is now on video 12 of a season of 36, just about season of 36.
• 9:20
SPEAKER_05: I just uh I moved on with life, boys.
• 9:22
  SPEAKER_05: What have you?
• 9:26
SPEAKER_01: I mean the reason it keeps going though is what we've talked about it, is because stuff keeps coming out.
• 9:31
  SPEAKER_01: No, I get it.
• 9:32
  SPEAKER_01: We have more stuff.
• 9:34
SPEAKER_05: I just I've already been to the point where like, all right, so no more of that.
• 9:37
SPEAKER_05: I'm just gonna not do buy that anymore.
• 9:40
SPEAKER_05: And then I just moved on.
• 9:41
SPEAKER_05: Like I made a decision and moved on.
• 9:44
SPEAKER_01: You have to continually be outraged.
• 9:46
SPEAKER_02: But I think there is a Simpsons-based meme where it's like Ralph like pointing at something and saying, Stop it, it's already dead.
• 9:55
SPEAKER_02: I feel that is Fender's current legal approach.
• 9:58
SPEAKER_02: They're like literally just beating everybody.
• 10:02
SPEAKER_02: Even if they submit, they'll carry on beating them.
• 10:04
SPEAKER_02: And even if everyone tells them it's a bad idea, we're gonna carry on beating somebody.
• 10:08
  SPEAKER_02: Keep doing it.
• 10:10
  SPEAKER_02: We got to.
• 10:10
  SPEAKER_02: Wow.
• 10:11
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so um I don't I don't know how that resolves.
• 10:14
SPEAKER_02: No, the limited edition Billy Joe Armstrong Les Paul Jr.
• 10:18
SPEAKER_02: in radiant red, or as you would call it, Bri, hot pink.
• 10:23
SPEAKER_05: Oh, is that is it actually hot pink?
• 10:25
  SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's close.
• 10:27
  SPEAKER_05: I mean it's close, isn't it?
• 10:29
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that's I like the colour for sure.
• 10:31
  SPEAKER_05: It's a sexual guitar.
• 10:32
SPEAKER_05: I think if it was me, I'd put a different humbucker in the bridge, I'd put a humbucker near the neck, I'd probably put two controls.
• 10:41
SPEAKER_02: Okay, so you're going to turn it into a lespool standard, is what you're really telling me, Brian.
• 10:48
  SPEAKER_02: Okay, Mr.
• 10:50
  SPEAKER_02: Wombler.
• 10:51
  SPEAKER_02: It's a lovely colour though.
• 10:52
  SPEAKER_02: That's the literally Oh, it's fantastic.
• 10:55
SPEAKER_02: It's a lovely colour, and actually, I've been playing my telecaster this weekend, which has a uh uh Mighty Might P90 and a sur bridge pickup in it, and you know what?
• 11:07
  SPEAKER_02: I really like it.
• 11:09
SPEAKER_02: I I haven't picked this guitar up for a little while, and I've I'm using this for all my down tune songs, it's only downtuned half a step.
• 11:17
  SPEAKER_02: I love it.
• 11:17
  SPEAKER_02: That's not good.
• 11:18
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, sorry, D sharp.
• 11:19
  SPEAKER_02: Sorry.
• 11:20
  SPEAKER_02: Go for it.
• 11:20
SPEAKER_02: Uh, yeah, well, maybe lower.
• 11:24
SPEAKER_02: I saw you reference drop q in one of your posts the other day, Blake.
• 11:28
SPEAKER_02: I need to have uh I need to I need to copyright my statements, I need to monetize you.
• 11:33
SPEAKER_01: I've been talking about drop q for long before I knew you.
• 11:37
SPEAKER_02: Lizard Richard over here talking about I'm the one who invented that.
• 11:41
SPEAKER_02: I invented drop q, and I'll have you know it's on on record.
• 11:47
  SPEAKER_02: Or 8-track.
• 11:49
SPEAKER_00: Or uh I said true bypass, I own it.
• 11:53
  SPEAKER_00: Ultimate bypass.
• 11:55
SPEAKER_02: I am the inventor of transparency.
• 11:59
  SPEAKER_01: Hello, uh, excuse me.
• 12:01
SPEAKER_02: I'm the governor of transparency, and uh I own it, so but so I I mentioned this because I was cruising the grams, I saw the most wonderful amp cover that I've ever seen, and I shared it with you guys.
• 12:16
SPEAKER_02: Oh there's a company out there that's making these kind of custom amp covers, and they did one with UFOs on it, and I really want that now.
• 12:23
  SPEAKER_02: That is Amplified Nation.
• 12:24
SPEAKER_01: Amplified Nation is uh one of the uh it's like them and two rock, I would say, are like the Dumble carrier honors of our generation.
• 12:35
SPEAKER_01: Like they they they're kind of known as making the best Dumble clones as far as I am aware right now.
• 12:41
SPEAKER_02: Well, now they make the best UFO themed Dumble clone, and I want it doubly as much.
• 12:47
SPEAKER_02: Bri, can you get me one?
• 12:48
  SPEAKER_02: Can you?
• 12:49
  SPEAKER_02: Can you um yeah?
• 12:50
SPEAKER_02: Let me just put it on this credit card here.
• 12:52
  SPEAKER_05: Perfect.
• 12:53
  SPEAKER_05: That's Richard's credit card.
• 12:54
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, why is that why does that credit card say Blake Wyland?
• 12:58
SPEAKER_02: And why is it made of rubber?
• 13:01
SPEAKER_01: Um, that one's gonna get declined.
• 13:04
  SPEAKER_01: Don't ask questions.
• 13:07
SPEAKER_02: Uh I tell you what else has been happening this week.
• 13:10
SPEAKER_02: We're not gonna avoid this one.
• 13:12
SPEAKER_02: D Adario have got in a little bit of hot water for their use of AI, or did they?
• 13:24
SPEAKER_02: Have you not seen it?
• 13:25
  SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
• 13:26
SPEAKER_02: So I think they put an advert out or a post with like some AI-generated music in it.
• 13:33
  SPEAKER_02: Is that right, Blake?
• 13:34
SPEAKER_02: You're probably closer to this than me.
• 13:36
SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, everybody and their dog sent this to me while I was away this weekend.
• 13:40
  SPEAKER_01: Hold on, Rio.
• 13:41
SPEAKER_01: I told you, don't send him things.
• 13:43
SPEAKER_01: He's been he's been sending me all the stuff.
• 13:45
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
• 13:45
SPEAKER_01: You should see some of the sneaky photos he took.
• 13:47
SPEAKER_01: Oh no, he hasn't, has he?
• 13:48
  SPEAKER_01: Yes, he has.
• 13:50
SPEAKER_01: Uh it uh appears to some people that DiDario made an ad and that the music in it was AI-based.
• 13:59
SPEAKER_01: Now, that's a little weird to me, because I'll be honest, like I'm not 100% convinced.
• 14:06
  SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
• 14:07
SPEAKER_01: I haven't dove into this to the level that some people have, so I've only spent a little bit of time with it.
• 14:11
  SPEAKER_01: Grain of salt there.
• 14:13
SPEAKER_01: Um but I'm not a hundred percent convinced that they did use AI in it because there is there's a guy playing, and it's possible they used AI music and then he's miming along.
• 14:22
SPEAKER_01: It's definitely possible that that happened.
• 14:26
SPEAKER_01: But I'm kind of looking at it and going, like, I don't know.
• 14:29
SPEAKER_01: It's not like I've never heard anything like this before.
• 14:31
SPEAKER_01: I definitely have heard this style of music before, and they definitely have the resources to pay a guy to sit down in front of a camera and make this.
• 14:42
SPEAKER_01: This is not like a crazy piece of content, you know.
• 14:45
SPEAKER_02: They're one of the bigger manufacturers in the guitar accessories world.
• 14:49
SPEAKER_05: Well, you know, my question is did they use neural modeling on the guitars?
• 14:52
SPEAKER_05: Because if so, I'm angry.
• 14:56
SPEAKER_05: You used much pivot there, Bri.
• 14:58
  SPEAKER_05: Uh-huh.
• 14:59
  SPEAKER_05: Machines?
• 15:00
  SPEAKER_05: So generate the tones?
• 15:02
SPEAKER_05: Well, I mean, machine learning, you know, neural nets.
• 15:05
  SPEAKER_05: You know?
• 15:05
  SPEAKER_01: Learning?
• 15:06
  SPEAKER_01: The machines are learning.
• 15:08
SPEAKER_05: It's kind of like imagine if you imagine if you had a piece of artwork and you took another machine to recreate that artwork completely, and then you sold that recreation.
• 15:19
  SPEAKER_05: Is that fair?
• 15:21
SPEAKER_02: Is the artwork delicious and icy?
• 15:24
SPEAKER_02: Oh no, that's sorry, I'm confusing artwork and ice cream again.
• 15:27
  SPEAKER_02: That happens, sorry.
• 15:28
  SPEAKER_02: I mean it's so hot, that's all I can do.
• 15:30
SPEAKER_05: Imagine, you know, imagine you wrote a great song or you painted a great picture.
• 15:35
SPEAKER_05: You know, and you had a machine and you had some sort of you know, machine that was able to recreate that completely and then you sold that.
• 15:46
  SPEAKER_02: Is it okay?
• 15:47
SPEAKER_02: I mean, yes, it is.
• 15:48
SPEAKER_01: It's kind of kind of at the heart of the potential issue with this whole thing, right?
• 15:53
  SPEAKER_01: It's like, huh?
• 15:54
SPEAKER_01: Did they or didn't they?
• 15:56
SPEAKER_05: So not okay for music, okay for guitar gear.
• 16:00
  SPEAKER_05: Got got it.
• 16:01
SPEAKER_02: Okay, just just making sure.
• 16:03
  SPEAKER_02: Just making sure.
• 16:04
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 16:05
  SPEAKER_02: You know what?
• 16:05
SPEAKER_02: The world was a better place when the photocopier didn't exist, and your school had to use one of those spirit duplicators.
• 16:12
SPEAKER_02: Do you remember those, Brian?
• 16:13
  SPEAKER_02: Spirit duplicators?
• 16:15
SPEAKER_05: Is that the is that the windy thing with the smell, the purple ink?
• 16:19
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, the purple ink.
• 16:20
SPEAKER_02: Everything came up and it faded and it was on cheap paper, and it smelled so good.
• 16:25
  SPEAKER_02: Everyone has.
• 16:25
SPEAKER_02: I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
• 16:27
  SPEAKER_05: Well, you're you you're you're young.
• 16:30
SPEAKER_05: You wouldn't know these things.
• 16:31
SPEAKER_01: I don't um usually when you say that, I do know these things, but I don't know this one.
• 16:36
SPEAKER_05: This is I don't know if they did this past the 80s, though.
• 16:40
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it was like the way that you photocopied things back then.
• 16:43
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 16:44
SPEAKER_02: Like elementary school for us?
• 16:46
SPEAKER_02: If they wanted to photocopy something, they wouldn't.
• 16:49
SPEAKER_02: They put it in the space.
• 16:50
SPEAKER_02: But you would have a seance and someone roll it.
• 16:53
SPEAKER_02: And there was triple ink involved?
• 16:55
  SPEAKER_02: That's it.
• 16:56
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 16:57
  SPEAKER_02: No, it's like a hundred percent.
• 16:59
SPEAKER_05: It's like uh think of like I don't even know what you would call it.
• 17:01
SPEAKER_05: It's like a wind up a winding thing on a crankhandle brain.
• 17:05
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, crankhandle.
• 17:06
  SPEAKER_02: Crankhandle rollers.
• 17:08
SPEAKER_05: It would make prints of uh of a document in this really very good smelling purple ink.
• 17:14
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you know, and you'd as a kid you'd get these papers and you go, you know, like that's why you guys are the way you are.
• 17:21
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 17:22
SPEAKER_02: And that explains so much about our generation.
• 17:25
  SPEAKER_02: That's right.
• 17:29
  SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
• 17:29
  SPEAKER_02: Yes.
• 17:30
SPEAKER_02: I I I propose that the value of artwork of all forms alters.
• 17:40
SPEAKER_02: No, sorry, the value of work of all forms alters when replicating it perfectly is easy.
• 17:48
SPEAKER_02: Because vinyl used to be like for forget about the modern hipster revival of buying hundred pound records because they're three times as heavy.
• 17:58
SPEAKER_02: But in the olden days, vinyl was the primary source you could get, and a cassette was basically slightly worse than vinyl.
• 18:06
SPEAKER_02: And if you copied that cassette, it was slightly worse.
• 18:09
SPEAKER_02: So the vinyl retained its quality.
• 18:13
  SPEAKER_02: Same with books.
• 18:14
SPEAKER_02: Books used to be worth something.
• 18:16
SPEAKER_02: Then Jeff Bezos invented Kindle, and every single book got put on his website digitally, enabling people in foreign parts of the world to rip off your work and re-spout it out instantly using AI.
• 18:32
SPEAKER_02: So it's the commoditization of every copying vehicle has made it so that all of these things are worthless now.
• 18:40
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you know.
• 18:42
SPEAKER_02: Why would I spend money on a CD, Bri?
• 18:44
SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm a huge Bowie fan, and I bought the first four or five Bowie box sets of vinyl after he died, and they were like significant amounts of money, like 300 pounds each, right?
• 18:56
SPEAKER_02: And then like the the last two came out, it wasn't his best stuff.
• 19:01
SPEAKER_02: And I was like, you know what?
• 19:02
SPEAKER_02: I could buy these for 300 pounds, or I could just download them from the iTunes store for free.
• 19:08
SPEAKER_02: And I'm am I any the worse off for it?
• 19:10
SPEAKER_02: No, you know, can I look at them?
• 19:12
SPEAKER_02: No, it kind of says more about you as a person, though, really.
• 19:16
SPEAKER_02: I don't think it does, Bud, but I like the way you're trying to frame that as a personal attack on me.
• 19:20
SPEAKER_02: But I think I think I think it's true of everything, and I and I think what we're seeing with AI now, and listeners, record this, keep keep this recording for the future.
• 19:35
SPEAKER_02: Software and apps will become far less valuable moving forward.
• 19:40
  SPEAKER_03: Oh, thousand percent.
• 19:41
  SPEAKER_02: Absolutely, it's already happening.
• 19:42
  SPEAKER_02: Thousand percent.
• 19:43
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, hold on.
• 19:44
SPEAKER_02: I'm making a prediction, it can't already be happening, otherwise, I look like a bigger idiot than I am.
• 19:49
SPEAKER_01: Well, um, no, it's it's no, because most people don't know this yet.
• 19:53
SPEAKER_01: Let's let me let me use an example uh without being too specific.
• 19:58
SPEAKER_01: And I you guys already know about this, but I'm gonna be more general here.
• 20:01
SPEAKER_01: So basically, we have a software that we use that's very important to our process um in our manufacturing outlook.
• 20:11
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's it's called Minesweeper, it's called what was that Facebook game?
• 20:17
  SPEAKER_01: Farm Farm Farmville.
• 20:19
  SPEAKER_01: Farmville, yeah.
• 20:21
  SPEAKER_01: It's called Farmville.
• 20:21
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 20:22
SPEAKER_02: I nearly swore very badly then.
• 20:26
SPEAKER_01: But we have something that is very important to our operation.
• 20:31
SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna call what they're trying to do now extortion because they know that, like, okay, now that they've been using this for several years, we got them and we can do whatever we want with them.
• 20:44
SPEAKER_05: So is this what we call the Adobe model?
• 20:47
SPEAKER_02: Kind of I actually I've come up with uh a new phrase for it, Bright.
• 20:50
  SPEAKER_02: It's the ecosystem trap.
• 20:52
SPEAKER_02: They get you in their ecosystem and you're trapped because it's so hard to get out of that ecosystem.
• 20:57
  SPEAKER_02: Right.
• 20:57
SPEAKER_01: And to redo it would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, in theory, right?
• 21:02
SPEAKER_01: Uh, except that uh you have people uh who are really smart with doing things, and we'll just leave it at that, that can basically recreate the whole system in a weekend.
• 21:12
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, thanks for calling me smart.
• 21:14
  SPEAKER_02: I appreciate that.
• 21:16
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
• 21:17
SPEAKER_01: Um, so then you go then go back and say, we don't need you anymore.
• 21:21
SPEAKER_01: And they're like, wait, wait, wait, what?
• 21:23
  SPEAKER_01: What?
• 21:23
SPEAKER_01: I thought we could just extort you for unlimited funds until the end of time.
• 21:27
SPEAKER_01: It's like, no, dog, this is the wrong time for you to be trying to do that as your software company.
• 21:33
SPEAKER_01: Yeah and uh if Mr.
• 21:35
SPEAKER_02: QuickBooks is listening, you're next.
• 21:38
SPEAKER_02: I'm just gonna let you know, you're next.
• 21:40
SPEAKER_05: Well, I mean, I you say that, but I know people that have made like their own version of QuickBooks specifically for their niche.
• 21:47
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know what I mean?
• 21:48
SPEAKER_05: Not all the junk, just yeah.
• 21:50
  SPEAKER_02: I don't need any of that.
• 21:51
SPEAKER_02: I just need it to run payroll.
• 21:53
  SPEAKER_01: That's all I want.
• 21:54
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, anything else.
• 21:55
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so you know, AI is going to bestow humanity.
• 22:00
SPEAKER_02: With all of these great capabilities, and like it is going to make other things worth less, and that is playing out in music, and we're seeing a lot more of the kind of wiping out of AI-generated music off Spotify and stuff like that, which you know it is a good thing.
• 22:17
SPEAKER_02: And then you've got that guy in Martinsville who keeps changing the theme tune every week.
• 22:22
SPEAKER_05: I changed it back, I changed it back.
• 22:25
SPEAKER_02: So, yeah, in interesting times.
• 22:28
SPEAKER_02: Um, did you see uh there's a brand new PRS Birds of a Feather special edition guitar that has come out?
• 22:36
  SPEAKER_05: Are they flocking?
• 22:37
SPEAKER_02: Well, I mean, for UK listeners, there isn't a graphic of Pauline Quirk or Linda Robson.
• 22:43
  SPEAKER_02: Very niche, very niche.
• 22:45
  SPEAKER_02: I apologize.
• 22:46
SPEAKER_05: Uh but you know what kid sorry, I just realized something that I forgot to mention.
• 22:51
SPEAKER_05: Can I back up like just like eight minutes or so?
• 22:54
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, the Dario the Diodario thing, they posted a Instagram that showed all the tracks in their logic.
• 23:03
SPEAKER_01: And some people said that's not the track.
• 23:05
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, okay.
• 23:06
  SPEAKER_05: All right.
• 23:06
  SPEAKER_05: I haven't listened.
• 23:07
  SPEAKER_05: I haven't listened to it.
• 23:08
SPEAKER_02: I'm just like, I think this is solved, but um, but then I just go ahead.
• 23:13
SPEAKER_02: Uh can I just say that the entire source of my knowledge is from Chibson's post, and I love Chibson, and they are basically my source of the truth.
• 23:22
  SPEAKER_01: That's right.
• 23:22
SPEAKER_01: And they should be chips everywhere.
• 23:24
SPEAKER_01: And they should be, yes.
• 23:25
  SPEAKER_01: Yep.
• 23:26
SPEAKER_01: They definitely have never made a mockery of anything.
• 23:29
SPEAKER_05: Note it is complete serious media all the time.
• 23:34
  SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
• 23:34
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 23:35
SPEAKER_01: Up there with the likes of Mad magazine.
• 23:37
  SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
• 23:38
  SPEAKER_01: Whoa, there.
• 23:39
  SPEAKER_01: Don't knock mad.
• 23:41
  SPEAKER_02: I didn't.
• 23:42
SPEAKER_01: I compared them to the great chips.
• 23:44
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, exactly.
• 23:46
SPEAKER_02: Did you know that Mad was originally published by EC Comics, who found foul of the 1950s horror comic laws?
• 23:53
SPEAKER_05: Wow, things that I never needed to know.
• 23:55
  SPEAKER_01: Interesting.
• 23:58
SPEAKER_01: All I know is them spies are still trying to kill each other.
• 24:00
  SPEAKER_01: That's all I know.
• 24:01
SPEAKER_01: Dude, I loved Spy versus Spy.
• 24:03
SPEAKER_04: Well, welcome to the I have no idea what we're talking.
• 24:06
SPEAKER_04: What are we talking about here?
• 24:08
SPEAKER_02: Brian, did you never play the computer game Spy versus Spy on your Commodore 64?
• 24:13
  SPEAKER_02: Nope.
• 24:13
SPEAKER_02: Oh, you missed one of the all-time classics.
• 24:16
  SPEAKER_05: Absolute classic.
• 24:17
SPEAKER_05: See, unlike you privileged people, I didn't have a computer growing up, so you probably just made one.
• 24:26
SPEAKER_02: Put it in your space shuttle.
• 24:28
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
• 24:28
SPEAKER_02: Unlike you privileged people who don't have a space shuttle.
• 24:32
SPEAKER_02: Um I mean, it wasn't a real space shuttle.
• 24:35
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, sure.
• 24:36
  SPEAKER_02: You say that.
• 24:37
SPEAKER_02: It only got me to like low earth orbit, not like full earth orbit.
• 24:41
SPEAKER_05: No, we tried pushing it down a hill and it did not fly.
• 24:44
SPEAKER_05: In fact, it just broke the it just broke the landing legs.
• 24:47
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, it did.
• 24:47
SPEAKER_02: I hope you said uh it had broken up on re-entry.
• 24:51
SPEAKER_02: Um where was I going?
• 24:53
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, dudes.
• 24:55
  SPEAKER_02: I played.
• 24:56
SPEAKER_02: Do you remember the game Outrun Bry?
• 24:58
SPEAKER_02: I do remember that, yes.
• 24:59
  SPEAKER_02: Right.
• 25:00
SPEAKER_02: So I you can get like a web version of it and it's perfect.
• 25:03
SPEAKER_02: The music in that is so good for its time.
• 25:06
SPEAKER_02: The music was so, so good.
• 25:08
  SPEAKER_02: Blake, that's your homework.
• 25:09
SPEAKER_02: Go and listen to Outrun music until you go insane.
• 25:12
  SPEAKER_01: I don't think I want to, but alright.
• 25:15
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 25:16
SPEAKER_01: If it can't compete with the X-Men, the uh X-Men theme song from the animated series, then I'm not.
• 25:21
  SPEAKER_05: I don't recall the music.
• 25:22
SPEAKER_05: Was it popularized music or was it just soundtrack music that they had someone make for them?
• 25:27
SPEAKER_02: It was soundtrack music, but it was great.
• 25:29
SPEAKER_02: Why do I want to why when you said that thing about the X-Men, did my brain go, you know something about this?
• 25:36
SPEAKER_02: Something about the X-Men music has happened recently.
• 25:38
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, I don't know.
• 25:40
SPEAKER_01: I just know that it's like one of the all-time great theme songs.
• 25:43
  SPEAKER_01: It it is.
• 25:43
SPEAKER_01: Somebody famous has just done a version of it, I think.
• 25:46
SPEAKER_02: Oh, well, I've got to Google that later.
• 25:49
SPEAKER_02: Or I might have dreamt that.
• 25:50
SPEAKER_02: I've dreamt a lot over the last four days.
• 25:52
SPEAKER_02: So yeah, I saw it the other day.
• 25:58
SPEAKER_02: I was like, this slaps, and I didn't know they did a version.
• 26:01
  SPEAKER_02: So good.
• 26:02
  SPEAKER_02: So, yeah, okay.
• 26:04
SPEAKER_05: Brian is completely lost at this point.
• 26:06
SPEAKER_05: Oh, I was looking to see who actually wrote the music for Outrun.
• 26:09
  SPEAKER_05: Sorry.
• 26:09
SPEAKER_01: Oh, who wrote the music for Outrun?
• 26:11
SPEAKER_05: Hiroshi Kawaguchi, who was uh sound team composer for so cool, cool, it's it's classic stuff.
• 26:20
  SPEAKER_05: That's a that's a great job back then.
• 26:22
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, cool music.
• 26:24
SPEAKER_05: Here's the game, have fun.
• 26:26
SPEAKER_05: We'll see you in six months.
• 26:27
SPEAKER_02: Okay, we're not gonna dive uh too much into this.
• 26:31
SPEAKER_02: Uh, but let me just say if you could have asked me age 14 what my dream job would have been, it would have been composing music for computer games.
• 26:39
SPEAKER_05: Oh man, how awesome would that be?
• 26:41
  SPEAKER_05: Yes, that'd be fantastic.
• 26:43
SPEAKER_02: When you had four channels to play with, so literally four tracks was the most you ever had to worry about.
• 26:50
SPEAKER_02: Like, you could do some really, really cool stuff back then.
• 26:53
  SPEAKER_02: I loved early uh 8-bit and 16-bit music.
• 26:56
SPEAKER_05: Oh yeah, I had a lot of fun with four tracks.
• 26:58
SPEAKER_05: I mean, especially as an introverted person, like the idea of just being locked in a room for months and telling to create something, that's just a that's the dream.
• 27:08
SPEAKER_05: I still remember to this day.
• 27:10
SPEAKER_05: Which is why I work in a barn, by the way.
• 27:12
SPEAKER_02: He he is a listener of this show.
• 27:15
SPEAKER_02: My my awesome friend Dan SJ, who made me uh one of the pedals behind me there, that yellow one in the middle.
• 27:22
SPEAKER_02: Listeners, you can't hear it, but uh it's yellow.
• 27:25
SPEAKER_05: Um if you could hear it, it'd go like that.
• 27:28
SPEAKER_02: I remember when he came around to my house, and we must have been about 16, and I showed him the first kind of music software that I had on my Commodore Amiga.
• 27:37
SPEAKER_02: He was like, How come you ever leave your room?
• 27:40
SPEAKER_02: Like, if I had this, I would literally never ever leave my room.
• 27:44
SPEAKER_02: I'm like, well, I you know, I try not to, but people ask me out all the time.
• 27:49
SPEAKER_02: But yeah, like early music exploration with computers was so much fun.
• 27:54
  SPEAKER_02: So much fun.
• 27:56
SPEAKER_02: And it again, like now you can do everything, just feels a little bit less fun.
• 28:00
SPEAKER_05: I got a feeling if I was like 14 now these days, I probably would never speak to anyone.
• 28:06
SPEAKER_05: I I would just probably never shower.
• 28:09
SPEAKER_05: Just sit in the corner of a room just making stuff.
• 28:13
SPEAKER_05: Sounds like what the kids are doing right now.
• 28:15
SPEAKER_02: It's exactly what the kids are doing.
• 28:16
SPEAKER_02: That's why we've got so many societal issues because they're quote unquote making stuff, Bri.
• 28:23
SPEAKER_01: I don't know what they're making, and I'm not sure it's like watching some girls stream video games on Twitch.
• 28:28
  SPEAKER_05: I don't get that though.
• 28:29
SPEAKER_05: I I mean that's not for me, but whatever.
• 28:32
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, see, that's the grandad moment for me.
• 28:35
SPEAKER_01: Like I've never been into granddad moment for me, too.
• 28:39
SPEAKER_01: I don't understand watching people stream anything.
• 28:41
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 28:42
SPEAKER_01: Maybe some uh like a live performance.
• 28:44
  SPEAKER_02: Maybe a performance, sure.
• 28:46
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but actually I'm playing a computer game and I'm gonna give you my witty commentary.
• 28:51
  SPEAKER_02: You suck.
• 28:52
  SPEAKER_02: Oh lol.
• 28:53
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, I've I poned you.
• 28:55
  SPEAKER_02: Come on.
• 28:57
  SPEAKER_02: No one needs that.
• 28:58
SPEAKER_02: T bag, teabag, teabag, teabag.
• 29:00
SPEAKER_01: I think I've said this a million years ago on this very podcast, but when I knew that the video game life was not appealing to me anymore, was we would, you know, we would all get together at friends' houses and we'd be hanging out, and they'd be like, hey, let's let's play some video games.
• 29:16
SPEAKER_01: And I'm thinking that means play some video games.
• 29:19
SPEAKER_01: No, what that meant in the context of my friend group was one guy is gonna play the video game and everyone else is gonna watch him do it.
• 29:26
SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I'm gonna go home.
• 29:28
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 29:29
SPEAKER_01: This is like this is boring.
• 29:31
SPEAKER_01: And then fast forward to now, people do that at scale.
• 29:35
SPEAKER_01: They don't just do it in the living room, they'll sit around and watch one person play a video game, and I'm like, I don't get it.
• 29:40
SPEAKER_01: I'm glad you like it, but I don't get it.
• 29:43
SPEAKER_05: But I mean, so imagine you're like, you know, 21 years old or something.
• 29:47
SPEAKER_05: You there happens to be a lot of alcoholic beverages around or something.
• 29:52
SPEAKER_05: You know, maybe you could just hang out and party and watch.
• 29:55
SPEAKER_05: I can understand that, but not.
• 29:58
  SPEAKER_05: Again, I don't think I would.
• 30:00
  SPEAKER_05: I'm going home.
• 30:01
  SPEAKER_02: I drink more alcohol until I couldn't watch.
• 30:03
  SPEAKER_02: That was my thing.
• 30:06
  SPEAKER_05: I don't I mean, I don't know.
• 30:08
SPEAKER_05: I I I'm probably weird here because I see the benefit a little bit, but not in the way that you're probably thinking.
• 30:13
SPEAKER_05: Like to me, so for example, one of the things I like to do when I'm just relaxing, like getting ready to go to bed.
• 30:19
  SPEAKER_05: Careful.
• 30:20
SPEAKER_05: As I like to turn on a computer.
• 30:22
  SPEAKER_05: No, I'm kidding.
• 30:23
SPEAKER_05: Um, I like to uh watch camping videos.
• 30:26
SPEAKER_05: Like, and I mean uh I forget the guy's name, but it's just a couple different people.
• 30:33
SPEAKER_05: No, no, no, no, like this is a person with a tent, and they don't talk at all for like an hour and a half.
• 30:38
SPEAKER_05: It's just you're just watching them camp.
• 30:41
SPEAKER_05: They're just cooking, they're making coffee, they're relaxing, the dogs running around like there is nothing but just camping for an hour and a half.
• 30:49
SPEAKER_05: And I watch this almost every night before I go to bed.
• 30:51
  SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
• 30:52
  SPEAKER_05: Because it's just relaxing.
• 30:54
SPEAKER_01: This will be shocking to literally no one within earshot right now.
• 30:57
SPEAKER_01: I don't know if I go an hour and a half without saying words.
• 31:01
  SPEAKER_01: I don't think that ever happens.
• 31:02
SPEAKER_05: I I think the pro I have such a hard time turning my work brain off.
• 31:06
SPEAKER_05: I have to have something like that.
• 31:07
SPEAKER_01: It kind of that kind of makes me.
• 31:09
  SPEAKER_02: Which I get.
• 31:09
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 31:10
SPEAKER_02: Um and for me, actually, I think it's the guitar.
• 31:13
SPEAKER_02: I've noticed that after I've finished playing the guitar, I get really tired.
• 31:18
SPEAKER_02: If I if it's the last thing I'm doing at the end of a day, I'll fit my practice in.
• 31:23
SPEAKER_02: By the end of the practice, I can barely see the strings my eyes have got so bleary.
• 31:28
SPEAKER_02: I think I save that last bit of energy for that, and that transitions me between upset angry boy to sleepy, happy bye-bye boy.
• 31:38
SPEAKER_02: I wish you did me.
• 31:39
  SPEAKER_01: Sleepy, happy bye bye.
• 31:40
SPEAKER_02: Well, I think part of the problem is, and and I I definitely have related to this, Bryce, is because you've been working in the industry for so long, it feels like work now.
• 31:48
SPEAKER_02: Like picking up a guitar feels like work.
• 31:51
SPEAKER_05: I I'll think of something a million things that I could be doing, like like if I pick up the guitar, then maybe I'm playing through an am like, oh, that's a cool tone.
• 31:58
SPEAKER_05: Wonder if I can do that with MOSFETs.
• 32:00
SPEAKER_05: I wonder, yeah, I mean, like it just like it my mind doesn't just play guitar.
• 32:06
  SPEAKER_05: That makes sense.
• 32:07
SPEAKER_02: If you start a camping channel, it needs to be called You Can't Do This With MOSFETs.
• 32:11
SPEAKER_02: That's that's your brand new camping channel.
• 32:15
SPEAKER_02: That's your catchphrase at the end of every episode.
• 32:18
  SPEAKER_02: That's bright.
• 32:19
  SPEAKER_02: I love that brand.
• 32:20
SPEAKER_02: I think I think that's kind of endearing that you watch silent camping videos.
• 32:25
SPEAKER_02: You should just watch silent movies from the 1920s.
• 32:27
SPEAKER_05: Well, I mean, there's like there's like noises that like rain.
• 32:30
SPEAKER_05: It's always raining, for example.
• 32:31
  SPEAKER_05: So it's just relaxing.
• 32:33
SPEAKER_05: I think it's like go four by four or something like that scenario.
• 32:37
SPEAKER_01: The thing is, I could never make this video because they'd just be like, well, there he is.
• 32:41
SPEAKER_01: He's eating another hot dog.
• 32:42
  SPEAKER_01: Yep.
• 32:43
SPEAKER_01: Oh, oh, another hot dog.
• 32:46
SPEAKER_05: How is he eating so much hamburger?
• 32:49
SPEAKER_01: So it looks like he's done with the fire.
• 32:51
SPEAKER_01: Now he's going over to the portable grill.
• 32:54
  SPEAKER_01: There he goes again.
• 32:56
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, yep, cooking camp.
• 32:58
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, yep.
• 32:58
SPEAKER_01: He's left all the bacon grease in the pan and now is cracking an egg into it.
• 33:02
SPEAKER_02: Yes, cooking camp is a different channel.
• 33:04
SPEAKER_02: Let me just tell you, that is a whole different channel.
• 33:07
SPEAKER_02: Now, it's interesting though, because we clearly all have our own like go-to outside of the guitar world, like streaming preferences.
• 33:18
  SPEAKER_02: So Brian likes camping.
• 33:20
SPEAKER_02: You probably like, I don't know, farming, cars.
• 33:23
SPEAKER_02: What what what do you watch when you're not watching guitar content?
• 33:28
  SPEAKER_02: Uh horror movies.
• 33:30
SPEAKER_05: Blake Blake's like Blake likes dismemberment.
• 33:34
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
• 33:35
  SPEAKER_02: Chilling.
• 33:36
  SPEAKER_02: Dismemberment and gore.
• 33:37
  SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
• 33:37
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 33:38
SPEAKER_02: I mean, I I kind of like watching people paint.
• 33:41
  SPEAKER_02: That's my confession.
• 33:42
  SPEAKER_02: I like watching painting.
• 33:44
SPEAKER_02: No, not like Bob uh pictures and figures.
• 33:47
  SPEAKER_02: Bob Ross.
• 33:48
SPEAKER_01: Now that I get I get Bob Ross, I love it.
• 33:50
SPEAKER_01: Because you're kind of watching something start to form.
• 33:52
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and learning.
• 33:53
  SPEAKER_02: I I like to learn.
• 33:54
SPEAKER_02: And that's I think that is the key in life is to continue.
• 33:58
SPEAKER_05: So, what you're saying is I need to make a YouTube channel where I'm just breadboarding for like three hours.
• 34:02
SPEAKER_02: Apparently, like I bet you're just gonna watch it.
• 34:04
SPEAKER_05: You're gonna put a little friendly little JFA right here, just like that.
• 34:08
SPEAKER_02: I bet people would watch that.
• 34:09
  SPEAKER_02: People would watch it.
• 34:10
  SPEAKER_05: People would watch it.
• 34:11
SPEAKER_05: Oh yeah you know what?
• 34:12
SPEAKER_05: I want to hear from somebody if they if they would watch that, I want to hear it.
• 34:15
SPEAKER_01: And you just gotta get the right voice.
• 34:16
SPEAKER_01: And now we're just gonna put a little nice little resistor right in there.
• 34:20
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 34:20
  SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
• 34:20
SPEAKER_01: Oh, I think 2K will do it.
• 34:22
SPEAKER_01: That should roll off the eyes just right.
• 34:24
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 34:24
SPEAKER_01: A friendly little resistor is what he is.
• 34:27
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 34:27
SPEAKER_01: And this little circuit block here is one of my go-to's when I'm trying to really accentuate bass frequencies.
• 34:33
  SPEAKER_01: The needle nose pliers.
• 34:34
SPEAKER_02: And just get a happy little op amp and just him straight into those sockets, right?
• 34:41
SPEAKER_02: This is what you call a feedback loop.
• 34:44
SPEAKER_02: I would I would watch this, Brian.
• 34:47
SPEAKER_05: I'm not gonna lie, I would watch this.
• 34:49
SPEAKER_05: I honestly have thought about doing a channel that's nothing but that.
• 34:52
SPEAKER_01: I mean, we really did this.
• 34:54
  SPEAKER_01: Here you go.
• 34:55
SPEAKER_01: What if you just said, hey, everybody, I'm gonna go live on this day at this time, and I'm gonna breadboard a circuit out right in front of you guys, see how many people show up for the live, and then just publish that video.
• 35:09
SPEAKER_02: What you need to what what you you've missed a key point could missed a key point of of motivating Brian here.
• 35:15
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, be shirtless.
• 35:16
SPEAKER_02: And then what you do, no, no, not be shirtless.
• 35:19
SPEAKER_02: In fact, wear two shirts.
• 35:20
SPEAKER_02: Um Brian, two shirts wampler.
• 35:23
SPEAKER_02: No, that's what I was about to say.
• 35:26
SPEAKER_02: No, what you need to do, Brian, is say, I'm gonna build a circuit, and if enough of you like it, I'm gonna sell you the pedal kit at the end, and you turn it into a marketing vehicle for guitarpedalcourse.com, the one-stop shop for guitar pedal courses on the internet.
• 35:42
  SPEAKER_05: I probably should.
• 35:43
SPEAKER_05: The thing is, it with me it'd be like a 1 a.m.
• 35:46
  SPEAKER_05: sort of thing.
• 35:48
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but perfect for the UK.
• 35:49
  SPEAKER_02: It's like six o'clock our time.
• 35:51
  SPEAKER_02: I'm like waking up.
• 35:52
SPEAKER_02: Oh, look, Brian's making something wacky again.
• 35:57
  SPEAKER_02: And I think it'd be better when you're at 1 a.m.
• 35:59
SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm putting three LEDs on this.
• 36:01
  SPEAKER_02: No, I'm putting seven.
• 36:02
SPEAKER_02: It would be so much more interesting.
• 36:04
  SPEAKER_01: You know, 1 a.m.
• 36:05
SPEAKER_01: is the perfect time for a harmonic percolator circuit to shine in this.
• 36:08
  SPEAKER_01: It really is.
• 36:08
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 36:09
  SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
• 36:11
  SPEAKER_01: Brian.
• 36:12
SPEAKER_05: I definitely thought about it.
• 36:13
SPEAKER_05: I just the thing I don't want to do is if I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna do a hundred of them.
• 36:18
SPEAKER_05: I don't want to do like three and test it.
• 36:20
  SPEAKER_05: And like I don't know, and plus, that's a big commitment.
• 36:24
SPEAKER_05: It is a big commitment.
• 36:25
SPEAKER_01: It is, but it would be a lot less editing.
• 36:28
  SPEAKER_05: A lot less editing.
• 36:30
SPEAKER_05: And I just wonder if like 10 people would watch it.
• 36:34
SPEAKER_02: So I've been reading a lot about TikTok live sales recently, and a lot of companies are killing it with TikTok live sales.
• 36:42
SPEAKER_02: And I I I think, and again, I'll take feedback from listeners on this.
• 36:46
SPEAKER_02: I think I should do TikTok live sales for some of my pedals.
• 36:49
  SPEAKER_02: I think I should.
• 36:50
SPEAKER_05: I thought you had to sell something from their store.
• 36:52
SPEAKER_05: I don't know how it works, Bri.
• 36:55
SPEAKER_05: I just thought you did.
• 36:55
  SPEAKER_05: Maybe I'm wrong.
• 36:56
SPEAKER_05: I thought you had to sell something from their store.
• 36:58
  SPEAKER_05: From whose store?
• 36:59
SPEAKER_05: From the TikTok store, so to speak.
• 37:02
SPEAKER_02: I think you just put your stuff on the ticket.
• 37:04
SPEAKER_02: I think you can put your stuff in it.
• 37:05
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 37:05
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 37:06
SPEAKER_02: I I want to do like a live, like purple on, where like people can see the pedal, and I'm like doodling on it, and then like, I want that one, I'll pay you less because you've drawn on it.
• 37:16
SPEAKER_02: I'll be like, that sounds like a good deal to me, sir.
• 37:19
SPEAKER_05: Like, whoops, spilled my coffee or spilled my tea in that one.
• 37:22
SPEAKER_05: Uh this one's half price.
• 37:25
SPEAKER_01: I heard Richard was on TikTok spilling the tea.
• 37:29
SPEAKER_02: That is how civil wars start, my friend.
• 37:32
SPEAKER_02: I'm just gonna let you know.
• 37:34
SPEAKER_02: Uh did you guys see the uh speaking of civil wars?
• 37:38
SPEAKER_02: No, did you guys see the new um Jack White third man hardware pedal drop?
• 37:43
  SPEAKER_02: There's another one.
• 37:45
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, this one this one got me.
• 37:47
  SPEAKER_02: It's with B-tronics, and it's for like a special tuna fuzz.
• 37:52
SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, B-tronics have risen out of nowhere pretty quickly to be now like collaborating with Jack White.
• 38:01
SPEAKER_02: The old school lion meat.
• 38:04
  SPEAKER_02: Old zoo lion meat.
• 38:05
SPEAKER_02: And again, I wouldn't ever buy this pedal, but I dig it, and I know a lot of people that would.
• 38:11
SPEAKER_02: Right, isn't it time Jack White called you?
• 38:14
  SPEAKER_02: I don't know, Jack, actually.
• 38:16
  SPEAKER_02: I mean, I'm not being funny.
• 38:18
SPEAKER_02: A third man tumness sounds exactly what the world needs.
• 38:22
  SPEAKER_02: I agree.
• 38:23
  SPEAKER_02: That'd be cool.
• 38:24
SPEAKER_02: It would be cool in black and yellow.
• 38:26
SPEAKER_02: What would you call it though?
• 38:27
SPEAKER_02: How would it have a Jack White flavour?
• 38:29
  unknown: Hmm.
• 38:30
  SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
• 38:31
SPEAKER_05: I mean, oddly enough, I don't know much about Jack White, actually.
• 38:35
SPEAKER_01: Jack White is uh responsible for a lot of m people my age getting into guitar pedals.
• 38:41
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 38:41
SPEAKER_05: Does does he uh does he play any lynch mob stuff?
• 38:45
SPEAKER_05: He is a bipedal human of about 37 years old.
• 38:49
  SPEAKER_02: I don't know how he's gonna be.
• 38:51
  SPEAKER_02: He can't be 30.
• 38:52
SPEAKER_02: He's not the same age as me.
• 38:53
  SPEAKER_02: I made that up.
• 38:54
SPEAKER_02: I completely made that up.
• 38:55
SPEAKER_02: No, he's not in Docken, Brian.
• 38:58
SPEAKER_02: You know he's not in Docken.
• 39:00
SPEAKER_01: You know who's in Docken.
• 39:02
  SPEAKER_02: Yes.
• 39:02
  SPEAKER_02: I know, I'm just teasing.
• 39:03
  SPEAKER_02: I'm just teasing.
• 39:04
SPEAKER_02: You regularly talk to the members of Docken.
• 39:07
SPEAKER_02: You probably Black White is 51.
• 39:10
  SPEAKER_02: Is he really?
• 39:10
  SPEAKER_02: Is he my age?
• 39:12
  SPEAKER_02: I had no idea.
• 39:13
SPEAKER_02: What a fantastic age to be.
• 39:16
SPEAKER_02: Well, it's it's the right age to be.
• 39:18
SPEAKER_02: Uh, have you guys ever been part of a musician's fan club?
• 39:25
  SPEAKER_02: Dead silence.
• 39:27
  SPEAKER_02: What is that?
• 39:27
  SPEAKER_01: I feel like I have, but I can't remember.
• 39:30
SPEAKER_02: That's something from the 70s and 80s, where you would send a letter and 90s, a letter and a postal order or check to an address, and then once a quarter you get sent a really badly put together fanzine and maybe some button lapel badge type things.
• 39:47
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, sounds about right.
• 39:47
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I used to buy it.
• 39:51
SPEAKER_01: Sounds like something I would have done as a young child.
• 39:54
SPEAKER_05: Is that like buying uh, you know, records and tapes from a company where you cinema?
• 40:00
SPEAKER_02: I mean, I tried to join the David Bowie fan club in about 1987.
• 40:04
SPEAKER_02: I think it had been disbanded for about five years when I tried to join it, but you know, that was the speed of information flow back then.
• 40:11
SPEAKER_02: I got a book, it had been written five years prior, and I wrote off in it.
• 40:16
SPEAKER_02: Uh, but it was a big scene in the UK, like clubs and fanzines were massive in the music scene over here, probably probably still are in some sort of more punky circles.
• 40:28
SPEAKER_02: Was that never a thing at your high school, Bri?
• 40:31
SPEAKER_02: I does it ring a bell, huh?
• 40:35
SPEAKER_02: Surely in the the punk wilds of Oregon, oh yeah, surely fanzines are a big thing.
• 40:41
SPEAKER_01: They're not as big as they were, but they're still a thing, for sure.
• 40:44
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 40:45
SPEAKER_02: Now see, you could make a fanzine on a spirit duplicator, Bri.
• 40:49
SPEAKER_01: That's the thing about a good fanzine.
• 40:52
SPEAKER_01: A lot of the the limited technology uh that people had to re replicate media and create media in the DIY punk scene, like informed so much of the aesthetics of like the hardcore scene.
• 41:06
SPEAKER_01: Like just like the way fans look and everything.
• 41:08
  SPEAKER_02: And of design entirely.
• 41:10
SPEAKER_02: And again, there was a value to a fanzine when it was made by some guy spending three hours photocopying different cutout pictures in order to make a kind of montage.
• 41:21
SPEAKER_02: Now, everybody and their dog has a Substack, a blog, a you know, a LinkedIn and posts content generated by robots till the cows come home.
• 41:32
SPEAKER_05: Oh, can I ask a question about LinkedIn real quick?
• 41:34
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 41:36
SPEAKER_05: Is it just me or is that the most virtue signaling platform ever?
• 41:40
SPEAKER_01: It really is the worst.
• 41:42
SPEAKER_01: Is it virtue signaling or is it accomplishment signaling?
• 41:45
SPEAKER_05: I it seems like it's kind of the same thing.
• 41:48
SPEAKER_05: It's always like someone saying, you know, you should do X to get Y.
• 41:52
SPEAKER_05: And everyone's like, Oh, that's so brilliant.
• 41:54
SPEAKER_05: I never thought about selling anything to make a dollar.
• 41:57
  SPEAKER_03: That's crazy.
• 41:59
  SPEAKER_05: You're so brilliant.
• 42:00
SPEAKER_05: And I'm like, guys, this is just everyone saying the obvious and everyone agreeing.
• 42:05
  SPEAKER_05: I don't get it.
• 42:06
SPEAKER_01: When I lost my father, that's what this taught me about sales, is you got to seize the moment.
• 42:11
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it does, it does remind me a little bit.
• 42:14
SPEAKER_02: I mean, you've characterized it pr pretty well there.
• 42:17
SPEAKER_02: It is a little bit kind of yeah, um, up up its own arse.
• 42:22
SPEAKER_02: That said, I have been posting a little bit more on LinkedIn because I'm trying to- I saw you on there.
• 42:27
SPEAKER_05: I was wondering like why.
• 42:30
SPEAKER_01: Or did you think, man, that's brilliant?
• 42:32
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, thanks for thanks for supporting me, Brian.
• 42:35
SPEAKER_02: I mean, the reason why is I'm trying to get I'm trying to sell pedals, bro.
• 42:40
  SPEAKER_05: No, I I I mean I get it's it's the place to get business.
• 42:42
  SPEAKER_05: I just um I hate it.
• 42:44
SPEAKER_05: I really do hate it.
• 42:45
SPEAKER_05: I have tried like tried to like it, and I j maybe I just am not following the right people.
• 42:52
SPEAKER_05: Because it just seems like very obvious statements and everyone agreeing with the obvious statement.
• 42:57
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 42:58
SPEAKER_05: It's uh it's it's like if you want to make money, you can't sleep all day.
• 43:03
  SPEAKER_02: That's brilliant.
• 43:04
SPEAKER_05: I never thought of that.
• 43:06
SPEAKER_05: You said that better than anyone ever.

SPEAKER_02: I I actually had a moment today in a conversation where I came up with like one of those kind of emotional, not emotional, you know, those kind of like inspirational quotes that like Facebook just used to be filled with landscapes that said, you know, the the longest journey takes the life's number of yeah.
• 43:31
SPEAKER_02: But I I came up with one today, but I'm not gonna tell you what it is, it's a secret.
• 43:35
SPEAKER_02: I I need to monetize it first.
• 43:38
SPEAKER_02: You should put it on shirts.
• 43:39
SPEAKER_01: When I whisper to the devil, I am the storm.
• 43:42
SPEAKER_02: Or something something like that.
• 43:44
  SPEAKER_02: Grass clibbins, brother.
• 43:47
  SPEAKER_02: Oh wow, yeah.
• 43:48
SPEAKER_02: I'm glad you don't like LinkedIn, Bri, because I feel dirty when I post on it.
• 43:52
SPEAKER_05: And I'm trying, I just uh can't do it.
• 43:54
SPEAKER_02: To be clear, I've posted every podcast we've done for about 300 episodes on there, because I never post any.
• 44:00
SPEAKER_02: Content on LinkedIn, I thought, well, this is free.
• 44:02
SPEAKER_02: I I may as well just post this.
• 44:04
SPEAKER_02: And you know, it's got a few followers.
• 44:06
SPEAKER_02: And interestingly, I have met a few people through LinkedIn that that was their channel to reach out to me and talk to me about.
• 44:14
SPEAKER_01: I will say that that if not the posts that I've never seen, well, that's not true.
• 44:19
SPEAKER_01: There's been a handful of useful posts I've seen there.
• 44:21
SPEAKER_01: I've I spend very little time there, but uh we've made some good connections with people through LinkedIn.
• 44:28
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 44:29
  SPEAKER_01: Yep.
• 44:29
SPEAKER_01: But less from like a content and more from like somebody actively finding us or we actively finding somebody, you know, that that's where the value is, I think.
• 44:39
SPEAKER_02: And and sometimes you can forget about people's interests.
• 44:42
SPEAKER_02: Like I work with a guy 15 years ago, uh, and his name's uh Dave, and he's a really nice guy, and he ran marketing for one of the companies that we owned.
• 44:52
SPEAKER_02: Uh, the the company I work for, not my family, that would have been much better.
• 44:57
SPEAKER_02: And uh he was a big guitar fan.
• 44:59
SPEAKER_02: I remember talking to him about guitars, and I'd kind of forgotten that.
• 45:02
SPEAKER_02: And then when I started posting chasing tone stuff, he was like, Oh yeah, love this.
• 45:07
SPEAKER_02: Oh gosh, yeah, you were really into your guitar.
• 45:09
  SPEAKER_02: I remember that now.
• 45:10
SPEAKER_02: And uh it's nice to kind of be reminded of those things and make those connections.
• 45:15
SPEAKER_02: But generally, it is people going, uh, I don't mean to boast, but you see this Lamborghini here?
• 45:20
SPEAKER_02: I made it with one morning's hard work.
• 45:23
SPEAKER_02: You two can uh make a load of money simply by sending me money on my book on how to make money.
• 45:29
  SPEAKER_02: Right.
• 45:30
  SPEAKER_02: And you know what?
• 45:30
SPEAKER_01: What do you mean by rental rental time's over?
• 45:32
SPEAKER_01: Uh we gotta we gotta cut this short.
• 45:34
SPEAKER_01: And you know, I'm serious because I have a Lamborghini.
• 45:38
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm gonna go.
• 45:38
SPEAKER_01: Definitely rent it from somebody.
• 45:40
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and that's definitely gonna make me think that you're that you're successful.
• 45:44
  SPEAKER_05: Okay.
• 45:44
SPEAKER_01: All right, all the most successful people I know definitely do that.
• 45:48
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, every one of them.
• 45:50
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 45:50
SPEAKER_01: All right, I'm gonna since we're talking crap on people, here we go.
• 45:54
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, let's drop it.
• 45:56
SPEAKER_01: I have made this statement multiple times, and I've yet to see it be untrue, though I'm sure that there are many cases where it's not true.
• 46:03
SPEAKER_01: But when I see a small business owner start having some success and it's going well for them, as soon as I see them buy a G Wagon, I know that their business is going to fail.
• 46:18
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 46:20
SPEAKER_01: Every single time I've seen it happen, somebody buys it, they're like, oh, cool, we're expanding location, and this is gonna go great.
• 46:27
  SPEAKER_01: They buy a G-Wagon.
• 46:28
SPEAKER_01: And what does a G-Wagon retail for?
• 46:31
SPEAKER_01: I think the US I think they're around 150 grand or something.
• 46:34
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think they're more than that now.
• 46:36
  SPEAKER_01: Maybe 200.
• 46:37
  SPEAKER_01: I'm not sure.
• 46:37
SPEAKER_02: And and there's a few around here, and you look at the people driving them and you're thinking, did you win the lottery?
• 46:43
SPEAKER_02: Because you do not look like a successful person who would drive one.
• 46:46
SPEAKER_02: And also, can I just say anybody that's I don't care how wealthy you are, there is no vehicle worth$150,000, pounds, whatever.
• 46:58
SPEAKER_05: Unless it has like 120 in cash in the backseat or something.
• 47:01
  unknown: Yeah.
• 47:01
SPEAKER_01: If you can move it, it's a giant boat.
• 47:04
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 47:04
SPEAKER_01: But I mean, then I know there are other vehicles that fit this category, but it's just funny to me.
• 47:10
SPEAKER_01: Uh I mean, I've even said it to some friends.
• 47:12
SPEAKER_01: I'm like, dude bought a G-Wagon, his business has got like eight months.
• 47:16
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 47:16
SPEAKER_01: And and it's like, yep, it's over.
• 47:18
SPEAKER_01: It it something falls apart.
• 47:20
SPEAKER_01: Because I think what it's an indicator of is like, oh, you're bad at managing your cash flow.
• 47:26
SPEAKER_05: That's what exactly I was gonna say.
• 47:27
SPEAKER_05: So that it seems like an indicator that that person just doesn't know what to do with cash.
• 47:31
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and priority.
• 47:36
SPEAKER_02: All the richest people I know drive regular cars.
• 47:41
  SPEAKER_02: Look, nice regular cars.
• 47:42
SPEAKER_02: I'm not talking, you know, they're not driving a$300 Ford Pinto, but they are driving like a you know, middle of the road BMW or an Audi or it or a Honda or something like that, because they know that cars that are in 90% of cases just depreciating assets.
• 48:02
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, just gotta really be able to afford it.
• 48:05
SPEAKER_01: Don't kind of be able to afford it.
• 48:07
SPEAKER_01: You gotta really be able to afford it.
• 48:09
SPEAKER_02: You gotta be able to afford two of them before you buy one.
• 48:11
SPEAKER_02: That's the rule with any luxury car.
• 48:13
SPEAKER_02: If you can't afford to buy two, you can't afford to buy one.
• 48:16
  SPEAKER_02: It's that simple.
• 48:17
  SPEAKER_01: That's a good rule of thumb.
• 48:18
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 48:19
SPEAKER_02: And I I like to apply that to guitar pedals.
• 48:22
SPEAKER_02: I would say if you can only afford to buy one, you should borrow money to buy three.
• 48:28
  SPEAKER_02: That's that's my rule.
• 48:30
  SPEAKER_02: That's exactly right.
• 48:31
  SPEAKER_01: That's a different kind of math.
• 48:32
SPEAKER_01: That's the right kind of math.
• 48:33
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's musical math.
• 48:34
  SPEAKER_01: Musical, yeah.
• 48:36
  SPEAKER_01: It's three-fourths.
• 48:37
SPEAKER_01: Because those the more pedals, the thing is, the more pedals you have, the more likely you are to be successful in life.
• 48:44
SPEAKER_02: I mean, yeah, that is literally a straight line correlation.
• 48:48
  SPEAKER_02: That's right.
• 48:48
SPEAKER_05: All right, I think there's scientific proof on that.
• 48:51
  SPEAKER_05: I think there is.
• 48:51
  SPEAKER_05: I think it's pretty sure I said peer-reviewed document somewhere.
• 48:54
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
• 48:54
SPEAKER_05: I mean, I sorry, did you say bear reviewed document?
• 48:58
  SPEAKER_02: A bear reviewed document.
• 49:00
SPEAKER_02: Just open up going, uh, pedal.
• 49:02
  SPEAKER_05: I said beer reviewed.
• 49:05
  SPEAKER_05: I tell you what, that's good.
• 49:07
  SPEAKER_05: That's yeah, it's gotta be right.
• 49:10
  SPEAKER_00: Listen to me.
• 49:10
  SPEAKER_00: I reviewed the data.
• 49:12
SPEAKER_00: I reviewed the data closely.
• 49:16
SPEAKER_00: These numbers are mashed up with what I can see right there.
• 49:20
SPEAKER_00: And I can see I'm having another beer.
• 49:26
  SPEAKER_02: I mean, I'm I'm not against it.
• 49:28
  SPEAKER_02: Uh, yeah.
• 49:29
SPEAKER_02: So I think in summary today, uh, spend more money on pedals, spend less money on cars.
• 49:38
SPEAKER_02: I think is that all we we actually said?
• 49:41
  SPEAKER_02: I think so.
• 49:42
SPEAKER_02: I saw the new He-Man in the Master of the Universe film, Bri.
• 49:45
SPEAKER_02: Uh, do you remember the cartoon?
• 49:48
  SPEAKER_02: Uh no.
• 49:50
SPEAKER_02: And then do not watch the film.
• 49:52
SPEAKER_02: Then, Blake, you should watch the film.
• 49:54
  SPEAKER_02: Okay, sounds good.
• 49:55
SPEAKER_02: If you enjoyed the cartoon as a child, you will enjoy the film.
• 49:59
SPEAKER_05: And if you enjoyed the film, you may enjoy our executive producers.
• 50:02
