- 3:59Speaker 3: how many returning viewers we have every week. So if
- 4:02Speaker 3: you guys can just make sure take a quick ten
- 4:04Speaker 3: seconds make sure you subscribe to the episode. Make sure
- 4:07Speaker 3: you subscribe to the Boys. That really helps us out.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Let's start off the episode check Mate, your boy has
- 4:17Speaker 3: the key to the city Bonter, Missouri. You want you
- 4:22Speaker 3: want to get a quick photo. Here, hang on just
- 4:24Speaker 3: one second, everybody, Hey unlocked, Yeah, I'll get a little
- 4:38Speaker 3: We activated bonterr. Over the weekend, my daughter Rue and
- 4:42Speaker 3: I we took a road trip down to Missouri. Uh yes,
- 4:46Speaker 3: I will move the mic. We took a trip down
- 4:49Speaker 3: to Bonta, Missouri to will your boy, will your boy,
- 4:54Speaker 3: Willie see. I had a little ceremony. I had a
- 4:57Speaker 3: little ceremony. I thought it was just going to be
- 4:59Speaker 3: like they said that they were doing unveiling, like a
- 5:03Speaker 3: photo that's going to be behind the bleachers, is what
- 5:06Speaker 3: my brother Wyatt said. And when I got there, they
- 5:08Speaker 3: had these chairs sitting up in the middle of the
- 5:10Speaker 3: fifty yard line on the track. Family was there, the
- 5:14Speaker 3: mayor was there, and little to my knowledge, I got
- 5:19Speaker 3: the key to the city. They retired your boys jersey
- 5:23Speaker 3: and the unveiling of the photo up top it's hanging
- 5:27Speaker 3: on the press box. Great photo, great photo. Jersey number
- 5:30Speaker 3: twenty eight. Your boy got his number retired. And it
- 5:34Speaker 3: was an all time night. And then the next day
- 5:36Speaker 3: we went to the RJFL Fields, which is Raider Junior
- 5:38Speaker 3: Football League, our community league that I grew up playing.
- 5:41Speaker 3: They had their pump passing kicker. I think they call
- 5:43Speaker 3: it pump passing field now because they do a lot
- 5:45Speaker 3: of field activities. And it was all time because full
- 5:49Speaker 3: circle moment. My number twenty eight came from. If you
- 5:52Speaker 3: go back to that last photo. Sure, I'm talking to
- 5:57Speaker 3: everybody that showed up, but to my left is Dave Gibson.
- 6:01Speaker 3: He is the guy who runs the Raider Junior Football League.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Dave Gibson was a stud running back in high school.
- 6:06Speaker 3: He was my very first RJFL coach for the Patriots,
- 6:09Speaker 3: the nineteen ninety nine Patriots. We went six and zero.
- 6:11Speaker 3: We killed everybody, and he wanted me to wear his
- 6:15Speaker 3: jersey number, which was twenty eight, and his number was
- 6:18Speaker 3: twenty eight high school, and so I was twenty eight
- 6:20Speaker 3: throughout my entire childhood, all the way uprough high school.
- 6:22Speaker 3: That jersey's now that jersey number is now retired with
- 6:24Speaker 3: the Raiders. Your boys fired up. I had an incredible weekend.
- 6:28Speaker 3: And yeah, I'm feeling I'm feeling pretty good. I'm feeling
- 6:32Speaker 3: pretty solid. It is really cool. Yes, that's you. Next,
- 6:39Speaker 3: going back to listening to Dave speak to the RGFL.
- 6:42Speaker 3: They raised over sixty thousand dollars. My very first year,
- 6:46Speaker 3: I think I was in second grade flag football. We
- 6:49Speaker 3: raised around four thousand dollars and that same fundraisers. Now
- 6:53Speaker 3: they had the record year last year at forty thousand.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Now jumped up to sixty thousand. A lot more kids
- 6:57Speaker 3: are coming out in the Raider Junior Football League. It
- 7:00Speaker 3: was really cool to kind of see everybody there because
- 7:03Speaker 3: when I was playing, it was like there were four
- 7:04Speaker 3: teams per grade. Now I want to say they're in
- 7:06Speaker 3: between like six to eight. And all that money goes
- 7:09Speaker 3: into all their equipment. They get all like the cool
- 7:11Speaker 3: stuff and everything else. They have like NFL looking jerseys,
- 7:15Speaker 3: not like the netted you know what I mean. Like
- 7:17Speaker 3: when I was on the Patriots, it was just blue
- 7:19Speaker 3: and it just said our JFL on the front. Now
- 7:21Speaker 3: they have like Patriot uniforms. So it was really cool, man,
- 7:26Speaker 3: it truly was. I had a really good time. They've
- 7:29Speaker 3: put me on the spot. I had to give like
- 7:30Speaker 3: a speech. When he introduced me. He's like, hey, do
- 7:32Speaker 3: you mind talking kind of about you coming from here
- 7:34Speaker 3: and say a few things at peels and you want
- 7:36Speaker 3: me to give a speech, Dave, I'm not gonna lie.
- 7:39Speaker 3: I'm not prepared, and so I got to talk. I
- 7:43Speaker 3: got to speak a little bit and it was cool. Man.
- 7:46Speaker 3: The kids loved it. I loved it. It was it
- 7:50Speaker 3: was a fun time. I feel very uncomfortable kind of
- 7:52Speaker 3: talking about myself on the mic without Taylor here. You
- 7:56Speaker 3: bring up that I don't know. Is that the clip
- 7:59Speaker 3: that I posted or is this the highlight film? So
- 8:03Speaker 3: the night Friday night Lights before the game started, when
- 8:06Speaker 3: they retired everything and I got the key to the city,
- 8:09Speaker 3: they played this highlight tape. The very first clip. They
- 8:12Speaker 3: had like one or two clips of me and the
- 8:13Speaker 3: RGFL to start it off, and it was either it
- 8:16Speaker 3: was my dad or Coach Jones, the head coach of
- 8:17Speaker 3: the Raiders, like filming it on his TV. So we're
- 8:20Speaker 3: just we're like geeking out the whole time watching this
- 8:22Speaker 3: highlight tape. Pretty good highlight tape.
- 8:25Speaker 5: Your pose has reached new new fame, bro, it really has.
- 8:31Speaker 3: And it fires me up because I'll be like smiling
- 8:35Speaker 3: our post. I'll like try to post for the photo
- 8:37Speaker 3: and smile. Most of the time, I just do that.
- 8:39Speaker 3: I just hit I just hit my pose, and people
- 8:43Speaker 3: are like, hey, I want you to hit the post.
- 8:44Speaker 3: We gotta hit the pose, which fires me up because
- 8:47Speaker 3: that pose is simply so I don't have to smile
- 8:50Speaker 3: or feel like I'm kind of like, you know, whether
- 8:52Speaker 3: you're putting your arms around people or you want to
- 8:54Speaker 3: do a thumbs up or number one too, whatever it is,
- 8:57Speaker 3: it just helps kind of like have a goofy post
- 8:58Speaker 3: so you don't have to worry about is my smile
- 9:01Speaker 3: good in this photo? You kind of zoom in on
- 9:03Speaker 3: your face, like I look kind of dumb in this photo.
- 9:05Speaker 3: I need to figure out my post. No, we just
- 9:07Speaker 3: hit the Willie C. I see Chiefs Kingdom Kansas City
- 9:11Speaker 3: Chiefs fans tagging me hitting the pose. So hey, if
- 9:14Speaker 3: you hit the if you hit that pose and you
- 9:16Speaker 3: tag me and I come across it, I promise you
- 9:18Speaker 3: I will share it with whether on my story or
- 9:19Speaker 3: on Twitter. It's so fun. But it is bro. The
- 9:23Speaker 3: kids wanted to come up. They're like, hey, uh, do
- 9:26Speaker 3: you want to hit the do you want to do
- 9:28Speaker 3: I'm like, bro, yes, like everybody, everybody lene up, like,
- 9:30Speaker 3: let's hit the post. We zoom out. We take an
- 9:32Speaker 3: awesome photo. But it is cool that that pose is hit.
- 9:35Speaker 3: When it killed.
- 9:36Speaker 5: HiT's different too, I know, man, because they're like extra
- 9:40Speaker 5: stokes because when you're older, it's like you're being funny
- 9:43Speaker 5: and doing it. When you're a little kid, it's like
- 9:45Speaker 5: it's super fun to have an excuse to flex.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 9:49Speaker 1: You can see it in.
- 9:50Speaker 5: Their face or they're just like, like so exciting because
- 9:53Speaker 5: as I would do it, like you know, in like
- 9:55Speaker 5: recent years, you feel goofy doing it around a group
- 9:58Speaker 5: of people that have no clue what you're even doing,
- 10:01Speaker 5: and they kind of just like chuckle.
- 10:02Speaker 3: But now since it's kind of known a little bit,
- 10:04Speaker 3: everybody's like, oh yeah, let's go. But it does. It
- 10:07Speaker 3: fires me up. It fires me up. Hitting that post
- 10:10Speaker 3: the year ten playoff Willie Pose Yeah, rank the Poses. Yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 3: that needs to be the trophy, like you just get
- 10:19Speaker 3: hit the pose going. We give out that award will
- 10:22Speaker 3: Confident Award, Yeah, the will Comfortent Award. But it was awesome, man.
- 10:26Speaker 3: It was a really good weekend. We went back to
- 10:27Speaker 3: the farm. We had like family and friends over to
- 10:29Speaker 3: watch the Huskers. We watched ball all day Saturday. Shout
- 10:33Speaker 3: out rue. She pooped in the potty twice. I have
- 10:35Speaker 3: a little potty trainee in the making right now, and
- 10:39Speaker 3: she's really only wetting herself at naptime and bedtime, just
- 10:42Speaker 3: like her old man did up until he was about fourteen.
- 10:44Speaker 3: But she crushed it. It was a great time. I
- 10:47Speaker 3: didn't know how it would be since I was writing solo.
- 10:49Speaker 3: The wife had to hang back for a Bar three
- 10:50Speaker 3: event on Saturday that she had to be at. But
- 10:54Speaker 3: it was an awesome weekend. Man, it was an awesome
- 10:56Speaker 3: weekend rue getting to be at the old Zimbie Grounds.
- 10:59Speaker 3: I try to tell her she has no clue what's
- 11:00Speaker 3: going on. She just wants to play and jump around
- 11:03Speaker 3: and dance around and stuff.
- 11:04Speaker 6: Top five adorable video.
- 11:06Speaker 5: Yeah girls. When they helped her up, yeah, they started
- 11:09Speaker 5: going crazy.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yo, I was. We had a long ride
- 11:16Speaker 3: back home and I was trying to she she wanted music.
- 11:20Speaker 3: She didn't want music, and then when we do listen
- 11:22Speaker 3: to music, it's gotta be the same song on repeat
- 11:24Speaker 3: essentially the entire time. Fortunately I got her on the
- 11:27Speaker 3: Lonely Road with MGK and Jelly Roll, but I was
- 11:30Speaker 3: on the Frozen soundtrack for the majority of the weekend,
- 11:34Speaker 3: and so when she didn't want music, we were just
- 11:37Speaker 3: sitting there and she was just talking, and you gotta
- 11:40Speaker 3: like you're trying to she wants you to repeat what
- 11:43Speaker 3: she says pretty much every time, and so I got
- 11:47Speaker 3: her in to go big Red, Like, hey, Rue, we
- 11:48Speaker 3: got to get you into this, go big red, Tan,
- 11:50Speaker 3: go big red chance. So I tried teaching it to
- 11:53Speaker 3: her over and over and over, and eventually she got it.
- 11:55Speaker 3: She's got it down now. I was trying to get
- 11:57Speaker 3: to where I'm saying, go big red, and then she
- 11:59Speaker 3: says go big but she doesn't quite understand that yet,
- 12:02Speaker 3: so she just does both of them together. But she's
- 12:05Speaker 3: got to go big red. Chan On Lock. By the way,
- 12:07Speaker 3: the Huskers, we took care of business defense. We did
- 12:12Speaker 3: hold in the three points, but they were kind of
- 12:15Speaker 3: running it. They were kind of moving the ball at will.
- 12:18Speaker 3: At some point. We just did a good job of
- 12:20Speaker 3: being like a ben don't break defense. But I'm sure
- 12:23Speaker 3: it'll be one of those weeks of practice to where
- 12:24Speaker 3: it's all about physicality because we got a tough fighting
- 12:27Speaker 3: Alaini ball club coming to town, and Illinois is not
- 12:31Speaker 3: a team to sleep on. Brett Bilma, as I say
- 12:34Speaker 3: later in the episode with Mike Chandler, he is my
- 12:36Speaker 3: number one enemy this week. I mean, they took everything
- 12:41Speaker 3: from us in the big ten championship with Wisconsin. That's
- 12:44Speaker 3: when they had like over seven hundred yards of offense
- 12:46Speaker 3: on us.
- 12:48Speaker 5: The buzz will be back too, because they're ranked.
- 12:51Speaker 3: And this is the first ranked game where Nebraska's ranked
- 12:55Speaker 3: and another team's ranked in over a decade, so it
- 12:58Speaker 3: will be buzzing. And it's the four four one hundredth
- 13:00Speaker 3: consecutive sellout, so it's gonna be a massive game Friday
- 13:04Speaker 3: Night under the lights, and we beat their ass last year.
- 13:08Speaker 3: It's Friday. We beat their ass last year because we
- 13:12Speaker 3: were coming off of that. We just got stomped by
- 13:14Speaker 3: Michigan and rule went full pass the next day on
- 13:18Speaker 3: a Sunday, and we we mopped them last year. So
- 13:21Speaker 3: I know they're gonna they're gonna come hungry, like we're
- 13:24Speaker 3: gonna get Illinois best. So it's a big week. It's
- 13:27Speaker 3: a big week for US. I feel like we've had
- 13:28Speaker 3: a good three first games where you can kind of
- 13:32Speaker 3: see it as like a preseason, and now you're facing
- 13:34Speaker 3: a team that's not like a juggernaut, but like a
- 13:36Speaker 3: salty ball club that's built in the trenches, run game
- 13:39Speaker 3: and everything else. They have a competent quarterback, but like
- 13:41Speaker 3: a good test for where we are at right now
- 13:43Speaker 3: to see kind of who we who we really are,
- 13:46Speaker 3: Because Illinois, I think is sneaky tough. I think Indiana
- 13:49Speaker 3: is sneaky tough. They went out to UCLA and beat them.
- 13:52Speaker 3: And the reason I say that is James Madison University
- 13:55Speaker 3: had a really good team last year. That staff is
- 13:58Speaker 3: now with Indiana, and they took a lot of their
- 14:00Speaker 3: best They're better players from JMU. Not saying like they're
- 14:03Speaker 3: world beaters, but still good, good football players. And so
- 14:07Speaker 3: Indiana that's why they're undefeated right now. They're kind of
- 14:09Speaker 3: a sneaky They're a good play in the gambling space,
- 14:12Speaker 3: kind of like a dark corse the way Kansas was
- 14:14Speaker 3: last year. Kansas lost again.
- 14:17Speaker 5: Man Sharon put me on game it's I'll let him
- 14:19Speaker 5: talk about it. Similar to the coach at Nebraska that's
- 14:23Speaker 5: no longer calm plays, but he is there. I won't
- 14:24Speaker 5: say his name. And when I told you, hey, your
- 14:27Speaker 5: offense is in for it. Same situation is happening to Kansas.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Yeah, what what's going on with Kansas? And I know
- 14:32Speaker 3: we have a massive Kansas fan base.
- 14:35Speaker 7: Oft falls this podcast, here's a little bit of lore
- 14:38Speaker 7: uh JP and I were both huge on Kansas going
- 14:40Speaker 7: into the season. Unbeknnst to me, Kansas during this offseason
- 14:44Speaker 7: hired a man by the name of Jeff Grimes as
- 14:47Speaker 7: their offensive coordinator. Grimes comes from BYU the twenty twenty
- 14:52Speaker 7: COVID season where Zach Wilson went off. They were still
- 14:55Speaker 7: independent though, so they're playing nobody. Zach wills soonds a
- 14:59Speaker 7: great season. Jeff Grimes gets hired by Baylor. Uh with
- 15:03Speaker 7: David Randa's crew runs our offense into the ground. We
- 15:07Speaker 7: have like five quarterbacks transfer, running backs transfer. I mean,
- 15:13Speaker 7: it's terrible. Each year, our offensive numbers just got worse
- 15:16Speaker 7: and worse. We fire him and Kansas hires them. But
- 15:20Speaker 7: I have no idea why. And the same stuff that
- 15:23Speaker 7: was happening at Baylor it's happening in Kansas now. It
- 15:26Speaker 7: breaks my heart.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Yeah, because they have good players on that offense.
- 15:29Speaker 7: Great players, And now everybody's coming for Jalen Daniel's head
- 15:33Speaker 7: and I'm like, dum dog, it's not him that oc is.
- 15:38Speaker 7: I call him Grimes against humanity because he is the vote.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Yeah. That's good information to know, because I know we
- 15:46Speaker 3: were high on Kansas kind of coming into this year.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Our boys yeah, yeah, yeah, maybe pivot, maybe pivot to Indiana. Yes,
- 15:53Speaker 3: Arizona State coach Dailly down there getting those boys going Alabama, Garrett,
- 15:58Speaker 3: Alabama looked tough. They just they look tough. Man. Obviously
- 16:03Speaker 3: Wisconsin is not. Doesn't seem like they're that good of
- 16:05Speaker 3: a team this year. They could turn around. I'm surprised
- 16:07Speaker 3: that Fikel doesn't have like sort of a progression him
- 16:13Speaker 3: coming out of Cincinnati. He was kind of a hot
- 16:15Speaker 3: candidate to hire. I know he he was definitely on
- 16:17Speaker 3: my short list with Nebraska hoping that we would hire him.
- 16:19Speaker 3: I'm so happy we have for coach rule.
- 16:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I beat the ass. Yeah, handle business in Madison.
- 16:26Speaker 4: Madison is a great place to visit for a game.
- 16:30Speaker 4: It does suck that Van Dyke went down early. Not
- 16:32Speaker 4: saying that it would have changed much, but the morale
- 16:35Speaker 4: in the stadium just dropped. I kind of expect a
- 16:39Speaker 4: big cat to be up there. That whole situation was
- 16:41Speaker 4: hilarious with the gun dying on him and him just
- 16:44Speaker 4: chucking it. I want to know shoulder fields today. But
- 16:47Speaker 4: the one thing that I wanted to see is less
- 16:50Speaker 4: penalties on offense, which we did a week before against
- 16:54Speaker 4: South Florida. We had like one hundred and thirty yards
- 16:57Speaker 4: of penalties, so cut that back, got back to just
- 17:01Speaker 4: discipline ball and it was disappointing. Jump around was cool,
- 17:07Speaker 4: but the student section emptied immediately after.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean you got Yeah, I mean.
- 17:11Speaker 4: It's it's a tough situation.
- 17:12Speaker 3: It's a tough early they got up for it. Yeah,
- 17:15Speaker 3: and Big Cat too. What's funny about the Big Cat
- 17:17Speaker 3: stuff is he gave me shit for going on the
- 17:20Speaker 3: T shirt cannon Michigan last year. They're like, hey, I
- 17:23Speaker 3: was like, first series of the second quarter, do you
- 17:25Speaker 3: want to do the T shirt canon? Just before the
- 17:26Speaker 3: Michigan game started, and so I'm like, oh yeah, and
- 17:29Speaker 3: I'm thinking early enough, we'll be solid. We're down like
- 17:35Speaker 3: twenty one oh when Jack and I are standing kind
- 17:38Speaker 3: of in the back waiting for this gun cannon and
- 17:40Speaker 3: you just feel ridiculous that you're about to go out
- 17:42Speaker 3: there getting your ass whooped, and Big Cat texted me like, hey,
- 17:46Speaker 3: are we in the trust tree. I was like, yeah,
- 17:48Speaker 3: what's up. He's like, they're asking me to do the
- 17:51Speaker 3: T shirt cannon. And they were down like either twenty
- 17:53Speaker 3: one three or fourteen three at the time, He's like,
- 17:55Speaker 3: I know how you feel, but we're just kind of
- 17:56Speaker 3: like laughing back and forth. And then they have the
- 17:58Speaker 3: audacity to bring them out to the K T shirt
- 18:00Speaker 3: cannon doesn't work. It malfunctions like the Wisconsin football is
- 18:04Speaker 3: doing right now, and he's just throwing T shirts. So
- 18:07Speaker 3: heads off to BC going out there, do what you need.
- 18:10Speaker 3: I did tell him. I'm like, hey, that's it's just
- 18:12Speaker 3: part of the process that was us last year. Look
- 18:14Speaker 3: at us now. You got to get in the trenches.
- 18:17Speaker 3: You gotta eat quarterback. Yeah, yeah, gotta get a quarterback, bro.
- 18:20Speaker 3: You have to have a quarterback just at at all levels,
- 18:25Speaker 3: all levels, at all levels of ball. I will say
- 18:27Speaker 3: a surprising one over the weekend was uh in North
- 18:32Speaker 3: County High School, Deshaun Watson and the Browns beating Jacksonville.
- 18:38Speaker 3: I thought Jacksonville was gonna be solid this year, but
- 18:41Speaker 3: then you see Miami get their ass beat by the
- 18:44Speaker 3: Bills at home. So it's like, Okay, was Miami even
- 18:48Speaker 3: a tough team and beat tough situation there? But you
- 18:52Speaker 3: think about how Jacksonville was in it and they had
- 18:54Speaker 3: a great first half against Miami. Miami kind of just
- 18:56Speaker 3: turned it on in the second half, you think Jacksonville,
- 18:58Speaker 3: Trevor looks better, like he's gonna go up and they're
- 19:00Speaker 3: gonna dust the Browns. But it's truly like any given Sunday.
- 19:04Speaker 3: I mean, the Raiders nine and a half point underdogs
- 19:06Speaker 3: going across the country with their first round draft pick
- 19:10Speaker 3: last year out and Max Minshew looked fucking awesome. We
- 19:16Speaker 3: tried getting them on the pod today for a call in.
- 19:18Speaker 3: We did get turned down, so that was tough, but
- 19:22Speaker 3: he was like thirty to thirty five. I mean, they
- 19:25Speaker 3: look the Raiders look tough. Man are the two.
- 19:27Speaker 4: Best quarterbacks in the league, Sam Darnold and Derek Carr.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Bro Hey, what's crazy? I booked marked this too, Derek Carr,

- 20:27Speaker 3: here's the post. The year. Hang on, let me make
- 20:32Speaker 3: sure I give Davin Oakland. The year is twenty twenty four.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Derek Carr is statistically the best passer in the league.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Gardner Minshew has the highest completion percentage. The longest touchdown
- 20:43Speaker 3: of the season is thrown by Sam Darnold. Baker Mayfield
- 20:46Speaker 3: is undefeated and just barely behind car Kyler m Kyler
- 20:49Speaker 3: Murray through a perfect one fifty eight pass rating game.
- 20:54Speaker 3: I mean that's nuts. Man. A Cardinals do look tough.
- 20:58Speaker 3: I mean they demolish to very beaten down Rams team
- 21:02Speaker 3: who have who are without like four of their starting
- 21:04Speaker 3: offensive linemen. They lost Pooka Nukua Cooper Cup gets hurt
- 21:07Speaker 3: in the middle of the game. I mean, they're just
- 21:11Speaker 3: basically a band aid team out there right now, which
- 21:13Speaker 3: sucks because the Rams could have been a good football
- 21:14Speaker 3: team this year. They still can be because again, any
- 21:17Speaker 3: given Sunday, you still gotta line it up, bro, just
- 21:21Speaker 3: to touch on the local the local team, the Titans. Man.
- 21:27Speaker 3: And here here because I was watching that game. And
- 21:30Speaker 3: here's what sucks about it is without and I'm gonna
- 21:34Speaker 3: sound a little bit Nebraska stylish in years past, but
- 21:37Speaker 3: this is true. If you don't give up a blocked punt,
- 21:41Speaker 3: like when you when a team blocks a punt, their
- 21:43Speaker 3: chances of winning the game is like north of eighty percent.
- 21:45Speaker 3: But if you don't get a blocked punt and Willie
- 21:50Speaker 3: Mayo just takes care of the football, they're fine. They
- 21:54Speaker 3: are they are. They were moving the ball well, Calvin
- 21:56Speaker 3: Ridley looks good. They ran the ball, They ran the
- 22:00Speaker 3: ball solid, their defense gets after it, man. And it's
- 22:04Speaker 3: truly what sucks is that it was repeat things. Obviously
- 22:08Speaker 3: different situations, but repeat things from week one to week two.
- 22:11Speaker 3: And the wild thing about that punk block because your
- 22:13Speaker 3: boy put a special team seat on and watch that
- 22:16Speaker 3: punt get blocked, like losing on an up and under
- 22:19Speaker 3: to a five man box, really four because one guy
- 22:22Speaker 3: was just kind of standing up. You knew he wasn't
- 22:23Speaker 3: coming after it. But a four man box is crazy.
- 22:30Speaker 3: You got seven in there blocking. You're sitting here when
- 22:33Speaker 3: you got a four or five man protection. You're all
- 22:35Speaker 3: thinking about getting out and covering the ball and covering
- 22:38Speaker 3: the return. That is what that wing was thinking, is like,
- 22:41Speaker 3: all right, it's a four man box that the punt block.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Though the punk return team is building a return, they're
- 22:47Speaker 3: not coming after you when you're getting When a punk
- 22:50Speaker 3: return team is coming after you to block a kick,
- 22:52Speaker 3: it's a seven or eight, seven or eight man box
- 22:55Speaker 3: every time unless they overload one side in a six
- 22:57Speaker 3: man box. But you he just had two guys on
- 23:01Speaker 3: that surface on that right side, two guys on the
- 23:03Speaker 3: left side, like the guard and tackler looking at chipping
- 23:05Speaker 3: to kind of get out, help each other get out
- 23:07Speaker 3: so you can cover the punt. But a wings card number,
- 23:11Speaker 3: the worst thing you can do is get beat on
- 23:13Speaker 3: an up and under in any situation, but a four
- 23:16Speaker 3: man box.
- 23:17Speaker 4: He didn't even touch him.
- 23:18Speaker 3: He didn't even touch him. You can see he's like
- 23:20Speaker 3: looking to get out, which I get that that is
- 23:23Speaker 3: what you're doing. But your number one thing is protecting
- 23:25Speaker 3: the inside. And getting beat on an ump and under
- 23:29Speaker 3: in a four man box is so brutal. I wouldn't
- 23:33Speaker 3: be surprised. I don't know where he is on the roster.
- 23:35Speaker 4: It's like our number three running back.
- 23:37Speaker 3: He could be somebody that has to turn into playbook
- 23:40Speaker 3: this week. That like, those are things that happen We've talked,
- 23:43Speaker 3: I've talked about before my time on Washington. We had
- 23:46Speaker 3: a Thursday night game to where we're just doing walkthrough, so, uh,
- 23:49Speaker 3: my man on the wing didn't really get a good
- 23:50Speaker 3: look at everything. But he gets beat on it up
- 23:52Speaker 3: and under and he's cut the next day. And what
- 23:55Speaker 3: was disheartening is watching I forget his name is Chestnut
- 24:00Speaker 3: is his last name. But he's in this the postgame
- 24:04Speaker 3: interview with Paul Kaharski, and obviously Paul's scene as kind
- 24:07Speaker 3: of like a villain in the locker room. No, guys
- 24:08Speaker 3: don't really want to mess with him or talk to him,
- 24:11Speaker 3: but he just didn't the answers. He was giving the
- 24:14Speaker 3: body language kind of like smiling, like knowing that p
- 24:16Speaker 3: K's asking him question tough, hard questions about it, I guess,
- 24:20Speaker 3: but to not like me, Bro, if I gave up
- 24:23Speaker 3: a pump block, I would be on suicide watch. I
- 24:27Speaker 3: would be feeling not only am I letting not only
- 24:29Speaker 3: did I let my team down and not do my job,
- 24:32Speaker 3: but I'm thinking my career is now in jeopardy because
- 24:35Speaker 3: you are what you put on film. Like now, if
- 24:38Speaker 3: you're any team watching that, you're any team, any opponent
- 24:41Speaker 3: watching that film. Every Special Teams unit is dialing up
- 24:44Speaker 3: how they can get you in and up and under
- 24:46Speaker 3: or how they can pick on you. That's ultimately that.
- 24:48Speaker 3: But that kid's gonna be facing the rest of the
- 24:50Speaker 3: year if he's still on the roster. But that is, like,
- 24:53Speaker 3: that is the worst thing that could have happened in
- 24:55Speaker 3: that situation. And the way he kind of handled that
- 24:57Speaker 3: interview is like, you know, if I'm a team kind
- 25:00Speaker 3: of watching that, you understand that you're trying to get
- 25:02Speaker 3: out and it's on you and everything else, but you're
- 25:04Speaker 3: kind of thinking, like, Bro, you have to show a
- 25:07Speaker 3: little bit more emotion than that, you know what I mean?
- 25:10Speaker 3: If you're a captain on that Special Teams unit. Yeah,
- 25:13Speaker 3: I don't know, or you don't know, or you're the.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Guy behind him thinking, Okay, now here's my chance.
- 25:18Speaker 3: For sure, for sure, Like I don't know how those
- 25:20Speaker 3: shuffled around again. Who knows if he's gonna get cut
- 25:22Speaker 3: or not. But that is one of those that's the
- 25:25Speaker 3: type of an offense that you have to where that
- 25:27Speaker 3: is deemed cuttable and if he's still on it, he
- 25:30Speaker 3: gets another shot at redemption. But at the same time,
- 25:33Speaker 3: your assholes should be so tight, bro, Like I like,
- 25:37Speaker 3: I wouldn't want to talk to the media, but you would.
- 25:39Speaker 3: You'd be able to read in most people's faces that
- 25:42Speaker 3: you gave up such a massive play. Obviously, will Levis
- 25:46Speaker 3: had his turnover. They had their own issues just across
- 25:49Speaker 3: the board throughout the game, because no one player like
- 25:51Speaker 3: loses a game. But I'm feeling like I just lost
- 25:54Speaker 3: that entire game because you give up a block punt.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Yeah that's I mean, the defense looks consistent, like they
- 26:02Speaker 4: look good, they get to the quarterback, they play with
- 26:04Speaker 4: their hair on fire, so that part there's confidence there.
- 26:09Speaker 4: I think CALLI said it best. What the fuck are
- 26:13Speaker 4: you doing? Like that's tough?
- 26:14Speaker 3: Yeah, Like it sucks.
- 26:15Speaker 4: You're inside the tin, so just go down. There's three points.
- 26:19Speaker 3: Leaven the week. Yeah, so close in the week before,
- 26:22Speaker 3: Like Bill Belichick broke it down on one of those
- 26:24Speaker 3: shows he was on it. Maybe it was McAfee. Yeah,
- 26:27Speaker 3: but he's just saying how him and Tom kind of
- 26:29Speaker 3: talked through situations like that and say that's like a
- 26:32Speaker 3: learning thing for the next week. You're sitting there talking
- 26:34Speaker 3: about it in the film where I'm like, hey, I understand,
- 26:36Speaker 3: you're trying to make a play. You're trying to be
- 26:38Speaker 3: superman here and keep it in the game. But let's
- 26:40Speaker 3: just say this doesn't happen and we punt the ball
- 26:43Speaker 3: like we're still alive and still playing, like we're in
- 26:46Speaker 3: the game. We're not giving up nothing, Like right there
- 26:48Speaker 3: when he gave it up there, it's like, hey, even
- 26:50Speaker 3: if you eat that, I know again you're trying to Will,
- 26:52Speaker 3: trying to figure out how to play his game because
- 26:55Speaker 3: he has great ability. But you just eat that and
- 26:59Speaker 3: go down, Like we have three points on the board. Yeah,
- 27:02Speaker 3: I mean, you're not changing them.
- 27:03Speaker 4: It's back to back weeks of that.
- 27:05Speaker 3: I know, man, I know a pick six the other way, I.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Think I don't know if it was that play specifically,
- 27:11Speaker 4: but also Taj gets hurt. So if it is on
- 27:13Speaker 4: that play, then it's like turn the ball over. Your
- 27:17Speaker 4: running back gets hurt, could have had three points, like
- 27:20Speaker 4: Belichick the quote about that is the main point is
- 27:23Speaker 4: Tom Brady took care of the football no matter what
- 27:26Speaker 4: if it was a bad series, take care.
- 27:28Speaker 3: Of the football.
- 27:29Speaker 4: And because he sucks because Will was on here, like yeah,
- 27:32Speaker 4: of course I look at Tom Brady, it's.
- 27:33Speaker 5: Like yeah, But like in Will Levis defense, when you
- 27:40Speaker 5: really look at his career, he has probably started how
- 27:44Speaker 5: many games did he start last year? So he's probably
- 27:47Speaker 5: played twenty five games as a starting quarterback in his
- 27:51Speaker 5: from college NFL, which is like not a lot, right, And.
- 27:56Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. He's like figuring out how he
- 28:00Speaker 3: can he can balance his ability because you can't get
- 28:02Speaker 3: away with stuff like I'm sure he can get away
- 28:04Speaker 3: with stuff like that in college, you're not. Defenses in
- 28:07Speaker 3: this league are gonna make you pay when you make
- 28:09Speaker 3: bad decisions like that, And everybody's in if you just
- 28:12Speaker 3: take care of the football. Every team in the league
- 28:15Speaker 3: is in the game in the fourth quarter. Yeah, Carolina.
- 28:20Speaker 8: Also, I guess to Will's defense because I feel like
- 28:25Speaker 8: I might be the reason that Titans are losing because
- 28:28Speaker 8: if I was publicly hating Will Levis, I think we
- 28:31Speaker 8: continue to win, and now that I have, I might
- 28:36Speaker 8: have to be a hater, but I'm not. But to
- 28:38Speaker 8: Will's defense, the Titans oh line collectively is giving up
- 28:42Speaker 8: the most pressures through two weeks in the entire NFL.
- 28:46Speaker 8: So I bet he's furious about it. But I mean,
- 28:50Speaker 8: we've We've got we got young guys out there right now,
- 28:53Speaker 8: you know, a couple of rookies to three year guys,
- 28:56Speaker 8: so in.
- 28:57Speaker 3: A completely new staff, like, there's gonna be growing pains.
- 29:00Speaker 3: I kind of hate how everybody's you know, you see
- 29:03Speaker 3: people saying like Will levi Is, he's not the guy,
- 29:05Speaker 3: blah blah, like it now is not the time to
- 29:07Speaker 3: hit a panted butt Like he's he's got time. He's
- 29:10Speaker 3: just got to figure out, like, hey, man, just take
- 29:12Speaker 3: care of the football, because again, if he doesn't do that,
- 29:15Speaker 3: they're putting at least three points on the board and
- 29:17Speaker 3: you don't block a punt Like those are two insane
- 29:21Speaker 3: momentum shifts for a team.
- 29:23Speaker 8: Yeah. Also, Malik Willis revenge game next week, Packers come
- 29:29Speaker 8: to town.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Yeah, and if Malik Willis got to win.
- 29:32Speaker 8: If Malik Willis beats us in Nissan, I'll kill myself.
- 29:38Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's gonna be Josh Jacobs suching the rock
- 29:45Speaker 3: thirty times, like the guy that show up to stop
- 29:46Speaker 3: the run.
- 29:48Speaker 8: I didn't catch a lot of the Packers game, but
- 29:50Speaker 8: he looked sound in the highlight, so it looked way
- 29:54Speaker 8: more sound than he ever did with the Titans.
- 29:56Speaker 3: You know, well, and you I was gonna say, you know,
- 29:59Speaker 3: lafleur is gonna have him right. They're gonna have a
- 30:01Speaker 3: simple game play like they fed the rock to Josh
- 30:03Speaker 3: Jacobs like over thirty times and he had a good
- 30:06Speaker 3: day on the ground. But they, you know, Lafleur is
- 30:08Speaker 3: gonna do a good job of kind of like having
- 30:11Speaker 3: his confidence there, playing within the playbook that he's given.
- 30:14Speaker 3: And I mean they will battle.
- 30:16Speaker 8: The Titans defense is nice right now. We are that
- 30:20Speaker 8: D line is is solid.
- 30:22Speaker 3: But D line is gonna be a problem for everybody.
- 30:24Speaker 8: Yeah it was, but that yeah, it was tough man tough.
- 30:28Speaker 3: That was a tough loss for the boys. And in Blue, Yeah,
- 30:32Speaker 3: Malik Willis, you saw where the sinner threw up on
- 30:35Speaker 3: the ball wild hed he played, Yeah, puke and rally,
- 30:39Speaker 3: puke and rally.
- 30:41Speaker 5: But disaster.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Snap it. Yeah, South Carolina, we obviously get into it
- 30:50Speaker 3: with during the Chaindler interview. But South Carolina, man, I,
- 30:53Speaker 3: I man, my heart goes out.
- 30:55Speaker 5: To your No, you just broke my heart again. What
- 30:57Speaker 5: was the stat you said, when you block a punt.
- 31:00Speaker 3: It goes up north of eighty percent. Yes, and epic
- 31:05Speaker 3: I said, two pick six is called back? Two pick
- 31:08Speaker 3: six is called back in an OPI that should not
- 31:11Speaker 3: have been an OPI. Oh, how do they bailing out Lsu?
- 31:16Speaker 3: Very similar to the way the rest bail out the Chiefs.
- 31:19Speaker 3: We need to start seeing prop bets on the DraftKings
- 31:21Speaker 3: sportsbook for referees.
- 31:23Speaker 5: Referees need to start doing press conferences after the game,
- 31:25Speaker 5: and the fans need to be the ones asking the questions.
- 31:28Speaker 5: They can put all the security you want, but I
- 31:31Speaker 5: gotta be in their front row. They took they took
- 31:34Speaker 5: something away from our program.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Yeah, because that you were saying it too like that.
- 31:40Speaker 3: It sets a tone for the program for not only
- 31:42Speaker 3: the season, but what's to come next year the years
- 31:45Speaker 3: after that.
- 31:45Speaker 5: We would have been if we beat Acron, never sleep
- 31:48Speaker 5: on any teams. We would have been four and oh
- 31:50Speaker 5: coming off of bye week and going into number five
- 31:53Speaker 5: ole Miss at home. Juice wells it back in our stadium.
- 31:58Speaker 5: Both teams ranked opportunity to take down a number five team.
- 32:02Speaker 5: Ole Miss was the first top five team we beat back,
- 32:05Speaker 5: like with maybe it was even Garcia. We beat him
- 32:08Speaker 5: when they were number four and they had Bo Wallace
- 32:10Speaker 5: in Columbia. They could come back.
- 32:13Speaker 3: They would have come back.
- 32:16Speaker 5: Freaking Brian Kelly, Bryce swear, I'm pulling up the baton
- 32:19Speaker 5: rouge they coach Kelly. Never mind we had him on
- 32:22Speaker 5: the podcast. Your team doesn't rep you, man, so don't
- 32:28Speaker 5: even try your your row ross beaches.
- 32:30Speaker 3: They don't care. They want you out to.
- 32:36Speaker 5: The Southern accent.
- 32:37Speaker 8: Man.
- 32:37Speaker 3: I mean that truly at heartbreaker. People watching this right now,
- 32:41Speaker 3: you're seeing real time a true heartbreaking loss. They have
- 32:45Speaker 3: to know the most diehard South Carolina.
- 32:47Speaker 5: For one of the reasons I disliked Tennessee so much
- 32:49Speaker 5: is because they gave me the same pain. Like back
- 32:51Speaker 5: when I was in elementary school, I was at home
- 32:54Speaker 5: by myself and either we missed a field goal or
- 32:57Speaker 5: they blocked it and we lost the game. And I
- 33:00Speaker 5: was like ten years old, punching my parents' bed, and
- 33:04Speaker 5: I just said, why does this always happen to us?
- 33:08Speaker 6: And I leave back.
- 33:10Speaker 5: I say, I don't know if we'll ever go to win.
- 33:13Speaker 5: And that's how I felt after LSU. And now I'm
- 33:16Speaker 5: twenty eight. I felt the same way when I was eleven.
- 33:21Speaker 3: So I'm sick.
- 33:22Speaker 5: But the last thing I'll say, I was telling Shirm
- 33:26Speaker 5: on the phone, I look at our schedule. It's hard, yeah,
- 33:29Speaker 5: but I see old miss Alabama, Missouri? Who at Oklahoma.
- 33:34Speaker 5: What's the first word that comes to your mind when
- 33:36Speaker 5: you see that opportunity?
- 33:40Speaker 3: Because we can.
- 33:41Speaker 5: Get it right back after this LSU, whatever we want
- 33:45Speaker 5: to call that, we can get it right back with
- 33:46Speaker 5: a win over you guys have the cats.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean why you're up there at you heartbreaking loss?
- 33:51Speaker 3: But you watch the film like you can't tell me
- 33:53Speaker 3: we can't play with anybody.
- 33:54Speaker 5: We finally have back, and if you're a South Carolina fan,
- 33:58Speaker 5: it will make sense. We have back in undisciplined, disciplined
- 34:01Speaker 5: defense where like DJ swearingers are running around out there
- 34:06Speaker 5: popping dudes in the head.
- 34:07Speaker 3: Not sorry about swag.
- 34:10Speaker 5: And we're built from the D line out which is
- 34:13Speaker 5: so key you'll always have a chance in the game.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm glad we have a space and a platform.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Yeah that felt good.
- 34:20Speaker 5: I was just scrolling Twitter looking for validation all weekend.
- 34:22Speaker 5: Luckily I was getting it.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Because I didn't.
- 34:28Speaker 8: Yeah. Also, to go back to the Titans game. I
- 34:32Speaker 8: know I mentioned this earlier in the preseason, but we're
- 34:35Speaker 8: making a difference. The O G paintrain video is back.
- 34:40Speaker 3: But literally, I just gonna say we're making a difference
- 34:43Speaker 3: in the community. We are.
- 34:46Speaker 8: But they've played it and I stood up out of
- 34:49Speaker 8: my seat and I'm going nuts. And there's like a
- 34:51Speaker 8: guy who sits his name Sam two down for me,
- 34:53Speaker 8: and he's like a fan of the show and cool.
- 34:55Speaker 8: And they didn't play it right the fourth quarter, which
- 34:58Speaker 8: they always have traditionally, they played it on the first
- 35:00Speaker 8: defensive drive. And so they start playing it and I
- 35:03Speaker 8: get on my seat going nuts. You could hear a
- 35:06Speaker 8: pin drop in this fucking stadium, no one standing, almost
- 35:10Speaker 8: like people got quieter when they turned it on. So
- 35:12Speaker 8: this is a call to action the city of Nashville.
- 35:14Speaker 8: Next week, in the fourth quarter, when Malik Willis is
- 35:17Speaker 8: getting Donkey kicked in the nuts, I need everyone on
- 35:20Speaker 8: their fucking feet and we need to get loud for
- 35:22Speaker 8: the boys or else I'm gonna have to start hating
- 35:25Speaker 8: Will Levis again.
- 35:26Speaker 3: I don't know. Well, you'll be dead. Yeah, hey, you'll
- 35:30Speaker 3: you'll be dead. You gotta kill yourself.
- 35:31Speaker 8: So we get loud.
- 35:34Speaker 3: Yeah, start getting them.
- 35:37Speaker 8: Yeah, shout just in case, shout out in Nabane. I
- 35:41Speaker 8: know he made this possible. He was really whispering in
- 35:44Speaker 8: some people's ears, and I don't think it was the
- 35:47Speaker 8: best showing for the front of or the front office,
- 35:51Speaker 8: seeing how quiet it was during that video when they
- 35:53Speaker 8: were like, dude, y'all gott to bring it back. It's
- 35:55Speaker 8: gonna be awesome. And then they were like, this is
- 35:57Speaker 8: why we don't do this stuff. But they also had
- 36:00Speaker 8: a couple of weird videos, but doesn't everybody.
- 36:03Speaker 3: How was how was Vegas? Do you come out profitable?
- 36:05Speaker 8: Yeah? Vegas was good. I don't know if you want
- 36:07Speaker 8: me to wait for Taylor to tell you about his weekend,
- 36:10Speaker 8: but I mean, it'll make you sick. Best one ever
- 36:16Speaker 8: by far.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:21Speaker 8: I don't know if I.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Let's talk something because it'll be like two weeks before back.
- 36:25Speaker 3: Because again, everybody listening on next week, we're gonna be
- 36:27Speaker 3: at Surviving Barsoo, we're trying to figure out what the
- 36:29Speaker 3: episode situation is going to be, like, uh, but we
- 36:32Speaker 3: will be in the middle of Surviving next week, so
- 36:35Speaker 3: we're we're kind of figuring out we're what we're gonna
- 36:38Speaker 3: be doing uh with as it pertains a bust with
- 36:40Speaker 3: the boys in the locker room, but it could be
- 36:42Speaker 3: two weeks for we're all back together. Yeah, we got it.
- 36:46Speaker 3: We need to have something because it sucks too that
- 36:48Speaker 3: Michigan twenty eight eighteen. That was a tough game. Yeah,
- 36:55Speaker 3: watch the game, didn't watch the.
- 36:57Speaker 8: Game, didn't watch a single second of the game. Yeah,
- 37:01Speaker 8: Taylor's not a fan. We know that. We told him
- 37:03Speaker 8: last week. The reason that you're a fan is because
- 37:06Speaker 8: what JP's talking about, it's heartbreak. It's That's what being
- 37:09Speaker 8: a fan is is letting a team dictate your mental
- 37:12Speaker 8: health week in and week out and not changing anything
- 37:14Speaker 8: about it.
- 37:15Speaker 3: Yeah. Like, my wife's trying to put together a birthday
- 37:17Speaker 3: party on Friday, and I'm like, I don't want to
- 37:19Speaker 3: go back and forth, like, hey, the Huskers play on Friday,
- 37:23Speaker 3: And she has the audacity to say, they don't need
- 37:26Speaker 3: you to watch the game, And I'm thinking it's not
- 37:30Speaker 3: even fucking about that, it's I want to watch the game,
- 37:35Speaker 3: like this is my favorite time of the year with
- 37:39Speaker 3: my favorite team and it's Husker football, and it just
- 37:43Speaker 3: blows my mind that, Okay, we're planning my birthday party
- 37:49Speaker 3: and it sounds like I want to watch Husker football. Yeah,
- 37:57Speaker 3: I say, hey, that's fine. I just know I'm going
- 37:58Speaker 3: to be on my phone. It's not I'm watching the
- 38:02Speaker 3: Huskers in the fighting alni because we got a tough
- 38:05Speaker 3: team coming to Lincoln.
- 38:06Speaker 8: That's a beast of a team.
- 38:07Speaker 3: But sorry, Jack, I apologize for interrupting.
- 38:09Speaker 8: Oh, you're good, I get it. I don't ever schedule
- 38:12Speaker 8: a birthday party with.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Everything's good at home. Everything's great at home. She's eight
- 38:16Speaker 3: eight months pregnant, Like we're figuring out Yeah.
- 38:20Speaker 8: Uh, but Vegas. Taylor got in there Thursday. I flew
- 38:23Speaker 8: in Friday morning. When I show up on Friday, he's like, yeah,
- 38:28Speaker 8: I was, I'm up three hundred and eighty thousand dollars
- 38:31Speaker 8: on one night and I was like what he was
- 38:34Speaker 8: just playing bakara with this dude Cody, who's uh. I
- 38:37Speaker 8: forget his Like, yeah, is it is it exposed? Yeah?
- 38:42Speaker 8: So they really profitable. First night Friday, we gambled in
- 38:46Speaker 8: the morning, and he's still doing very well. Friday night
- 38:49Speaker 8: rolls around and Robbie Fox from Barstool, he's in town.
- 38:53Speaker 8: He broke that Connor news, which was awesome for him.
- 38:57Speaker 8: He comes with the Red Rock and Dana had told him,
- 39:00Speaker 8: I'm going to pay for your wedding, but you.
- 39:02Speaker 3: Just kind of I saw that video.
- 39:04Speaker 8: Yeah, so we go in there and you can check
- 39:07Speaker 8: out the vog. It's gonna come out here in the
- 39:09Speaker 8: next few weeks. But I'm getting all the like inside
- 39:12Speaker 8: scoop from Robbie. I'm like, how you feeling. Have you
- 39:15Speaker 8: ever gambled? He's never gambled before in his life. He
- 39:17Speaker 8: says the most he's ever bet on a sports game
- 39:19Speaker 8: is five dollars. So he's like, this already is making
- 39:21Speaker 8: me nervous being in here, and I was like, I
- 39:23Speaker 8: was like, you know, best case scenario, Dana gets in here,
- 39:26Speaker 8: wins like three hands, hands you a bunch of chips,
- 39:29Speaker 8: and you're good and you walk. Four hours later, we're
- 39:32Speaker 8: sitting there still and it's it's four am. I'm so upset.
- 39:37Speaker 8: I'm like, I just want to go to bed, but
- 39:39Speaker 8: I'm not allowed to go to bed ever until Taylor
- 39:42Speaker 8: walks out. So, but Dana is down the two point
- 39:46Speaker 8: three million dollars two point three million, and I'm sitting
- 39:50Speaker 8: there like I I'm gonna die in this room, truly,
- 39:53Speaker 8: I'm never gonna leave. What does he do? Dana comes
- 39:56Speaker 8: back from two point three million, so and the reason
- 40:00Speaker 8: and I'm like giving this away from the VAUG because
- 40:01Speaker 8: Robbie already posted the clip. Dana gives him money for
- 40:04Speaker 8: the wedding. It's awesome, But Taylor has two hundred thousand
- 40:08Speaker 8: dollars in markers on the table and every like the
- 40:10Speaker 8: dust settles and we're about to leave, and Taylor's like, Dana, yeah,
- 40:14Speaker 8: I got I got these things, like I gotta play
- 40:16Speaker 8: some more. So Dana goes back in two point eight million.
- 40:20Speaker 8: In the next hour, he's down.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Taylor or Dana, so he went so Dana's trying to
- 40:26Speaker 3: play to get Taylor out. Dana ends up going down
- 40:28Speaker 3: two point eight million dout.
- 40:29Speaker 8: After he was just down two point three and then
- 40:31Speaker 8: paid Robbie and then he's completely clean and then goes
- 40:35Speaker 8: in and then from zero dollars not only anything, goes
- 40:38Speaker 8: back down to two point eight million, and then it
- 40:40Speaker 8: was like four thirty am and Dana just like I've
- 40:43Speaker 8: never even seen it happen. He just walks out like
- 40:45Speaker 8: with his boys, like we're going because I mean this
- 40:47Speaker 8: was Friday night before the spear, so it's late and
- 40:50Speaker 8: he's got to be up.
- 40:51Speaker 3: And I mean Saturday, Saturday morning, Saturday.
- 40:53Speaker 8: Saturday morning, and so he he goes out, and because
- 40:58Speaker 8: he's Dane, why the day want to In fact, he
- 41:00Speaker 8: can just leave his markers there legally, if you're not Dana,
- 41:03Speaker 8: why you have to sign a check that says I
- 41:06Speaker 8: am liable for paying this money. So the chips were
- 41:09Speaker 8: there the rest of the weekend. He hadn't come back,
- 41:11Speaker 8: so like Saturday, they were still there and all of
- 41:13Speaker 8: his markers. So I don't know exactly what happened there,
- 41:17Speaker 8: but it is the vlog will be crazy. There's a
- 41:19Speaker 8: lot of ups and downs, and then all the sphere
- 41:22Speaker 8: content will be awesome. It's just one of the coolest
- 41:24Speaker 8: fights just experiences ever and UFC everyone's just so nice.
- 41:30Speaker 8: I just don't understand, like why we are getting placed
- 41:35Speaker 8: like in the seats we are when there's like a
- 41:39Speaker 8: plus list celebrities like sitting three rows behind us, and
- 41:43Speaker 8: I'm like, yeah.
- 41:44Speaker 5: It was.
- 41:46Speaker 3: He takes care of the boys.
- 41:48Speaker 8: They really do, and Dana does an awesome job. But
- 41:51Speaker 8: if we could do it for anything, and not even
- 41:54Speaker 8: just a fight, we should try and go to the
- 41:57Speaker 8: sphere for something they have like interactive movies, or they'll
- 41:59Speaker 8: have like like what Michael was saying, like a Safari
- 42:02Speaker 8: or it's like a journey through the Cosmos type thing,
- 42:04Speaker 8: and it's like an hour and a half movie. It
- 42:07Speaker 8: is well worth going. I know Garretts were there for
- 42:09Speaker 8: Dead and Co. But I mean it's just like I
- 42:12Speaker 8: feel like it is truly the eighth Wonder of the world.
- 42:15Speaker 8: Like you go in there and you're like this, this
- 42:17Speaker 8: is God's house. So it's cool. I love it.
- 42:20Speaker 3: So hang on, hang on, hang on. Taylor's down a
- 42:23Speaker 3: couple hundred thousand. Dana takes over for Taylor down two
- 42:27Speaker 3: point eight.
- 42:30Speaker 8: Yes, but yeah, I mean, we can talk about more,
- 42:33Speaker 8: or I can tell you it.
- 42:36Speaker 3: Should should should we not? Say? Some people watch the blog.
- 42:38Speaker 8: I say, watched the blog because there is some storylines
- 42:40Speaker 8: in there that okay, all right, I can tell you
- 42:42Speaker 8: off the bus.
- 42:43Speaker 3: Okay, because now I am insanely curious how you get
- 42:46Speaker 3: out of a hole like that.
- 42:47Speaker 8: And Robbie's sitting there when he was on two point three,
- 42:51Speaker 8: and I kept going back up to him with the
- 42:53Speaker 8: camera because I wanted to get like his perspective, and
- 42:55Speaker 8: you can just see it in his face that he's
- 42:57Speaker 8: like he feels like he's losing this money because it's
- 43:00Speaker 8: like kind of like him and he's just like pacing
- 43:04Speaker 8: and like ghost white and like you can just feel it,
- 43:08Speaker 8: like stress in the air. It sucks being in those rooms.
- 43:11Speaker 8: No one's having fun. Taylor's like, hey, let's get some
- 43:14Speaker 8: collaps in your ear, like, come on, let's get the
- 43:16Speaker 8: vibes up. And it's like, dude, that that's like, you know,
- 43:19Speaker 8: one hundred people's salaries right there on the table in
- 43:23Speaker 8: four chips.
- 43:24Speaker 3: But yeah, Vegas, well yeah, watch the vlog.
- 43:29Speaker 8: Yeah, watch the vlog, Watch the vlog.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Anything else? Boys talk to Husker football the main thing
- 43:39Speaker 3: save Will's birthday party. Yeah, that'll that'll get figured out.
- 43:42Speaker 3: Your boy's gonna be watching the Huskers on Friday, whether
- 43:44Speaker 3: with people without people locked in a room so low.
- 43:47Speaker 8: That I have a question for you go because I
- 43:50Speaker 8: saw this on Twitter and I want to answer from
- 43:52Speaker 8: everybody do you prefer to watch your sports team alone?
- 43:57Speaker 3: Yes, A thousand, Yeah, because even when we were watching
- 44:02Speaker 3: it on Saturday, like there we have people over and
- 44:04Speaker 3: stuff like that, and it's awesome, but I can't like
- 44:06Speaker 3: hear the TV very well. I like to just be
- 44:09Speaker 3: locked in and dialed in. I want to I want
- 44:12Speaker 3: to understand everything going on. I want to hear what's
- 44:14Speaker 3: being said. I love the commentating, and I just like
- 44:18Speaker 3: to be alone, you know what I mean, because then
- 44:19Speaker 3: you're you can't get off track on any side conversations
- 44:22Speaker 3: anywhere else.
- 44:23Speaker 8: I feel like all those two were like all perpetually
- 44:26Speaker 8: on Twitter, and I love being like dialed into the
- 44:28Speaker 8: narratives there, whether it's.
- 44:29Speaker 3: Saying yeah yeah, and to be watching the game scrolling
- 44:32Speaker 3: my phone like I want to be in it.
- 44:34Speaker 8: Yeah, make watching football alone cool again.
- 44:38Speaker 3: Yeah, we're just great. Maybe maybe that's yeah. Yeah, if
- 44:47Speaker 3: you can go to the game, Yeah, yeah, you can
- 44:49Speaker 3: go to the game. Yeah, absolutely, all right, sounds good fellas.
- 44:52Speaker 3: Hey shut up Bonte Missouri again. The Key to the
- 44:57Speaker 3: City Spectacular retired Jersey. They said they were taking it
- 45:03Speaker 3: out of the rotation after this year. Your Boy was

- 46:42Speaker 3: Enjoy this Michael Chandler episode. All right, Michael Chandler, we
- 46:46Speaker 3: are fucking back brow. How are you feeling since the announcement?
- 46:52Speaker 3: Good man?
- 46:52Speaker 6: I feel like I made this decision like four weeks ago,
- 46:56Speaker 6: so I've known for a while, and it's always hard
- 46:58Speaker 6: because you know, you know what you're training for, you know,
- 47:01Speaker 6: you know, my management new, my wife knew, a couple
- 47:04Speaker 6: of the select the boys knew. But like now that
- 47:07Speaker 6: the whole world knows, it's it's good because now we
- 47:09Speaker 6: can finally this one, especially because it's not just announcing
- 47:12Speaker 6: a fight, it is foregoing the Connor fight for now.
- 47:16Speaker 3: At least from that for yeah, for now.
- 47:17Speaker 6: Moving on from that from now, and uh, you know,
- 47:20Speaker 6: I'm happy with my decision. I'm happy with the opponent,
- 47:22Speaker 6: number one contender fight five round comane event underneath John
- 47:26Speaker 6: Jones versus Stipe at MSG, which will be my fourth
- 47:29Speaker 6: time at the world's most iconic arena.
- 47:31Speaker 3: I mean that, Yeah, it's gonna be insane. John Jones
- 47:33Speaker 3: coming back, Yeah, it's gonna be It's gonna be big.
- 47:36Speaker 6: I and I actually because we were waffling back and forth,
- 47:38Speaker 6: like I knew the Connor Sorry, I knew we were
- 47:41Speaker 6: moving on from Connor for now, and I knew we
- 47:43Speaker 6: were gonna fight Charles, but I was trying to get
- 47:45Speaker 6: it at MSG, and my my text to uh to
- 47:48Speaker 6: Hunter Campbell whenever he was like waffling back and forth
- 47:50Speaker 6: or was, I was like, hey, twenty twenty one Chandler
- 47:52Speaker 6: versus Gechee Fight of the Night and Fight of the
- 47:54Speaker 6: Year at Madison Square Guarden, twenty twenty two Chandler versus Pourier,
- 47:58Speaker 6: candidate for Fight of the Year, Fight of the night.
- 48:01Speaker 6: Every single time I step inside of MSG, I blow
- 48:03Speaker 6: the roof off the place. And it was actually funny.
- 48:05Speaker 6: I saw John Jones at the fight since last week
- 48:07Speaker 6: and he's like, hey, I know you're the comain, but
- 48:10Speaker 6: could you save some excitement for me, and in the
- 48:12Speaker 6: main event, I was like, Nah, probably not, man, I'm
- 48:14Speaker 6: going to try to steal the show.
- 48:15Speaker 3: Are you fighting up that it's at MSG? I am,
- 48:17Speaker 3: you know.
- 48:18Speaker 6: I Actually it's bittersweet because I've kept saying this. I fought,
- 48:22Speaker 6: and I've now fought in the UFC. This would be
- 48:24Speaker 6: my sixth fight, and I have never fought in Vegas.
- 48:28Speaker 6: So I've always wanted to fight in Vegas. That was
- 48:30Speaker 6: one of the stings of this Connor.
- 48:32Speaker 3: Fight falling through.
- 48:32Speaker 6: It was going to be at Vegas in Vegas, and
- 48:35Speaker 6: I'll fight in Vegas eventually, but I'm just the boys
- 48:37Speaker 6: are ready to fight in Vegas. Man. I want I
- 48:38Speaker 6: want to enjoy a a and take in a Vegas
- 48:41Speaker 6: fight week, you.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Know, outside of just sitting in the stands watching it happen.
- 48:45Speaker 6: Yeah, I've watched a ton of fights in Vegas, and
- 48:47Speaker 6: so it's just different because you know, the uf the
- 48:50Speaker 6: UFC takes over the entire city, which if you have,
- 48:54Speaker 6: if you had a second best city like MSG, New York,
- 48:57Speaker 6: the media ESPN, like all all of the barstool, like
- 49:02Speaker 6: all of the big media companies are there with a
- 49:04Speaker 6: huge presence in New York. So you always end up
- 49:07Speaker 6: with a ton of X ton of extra media, which
- 49:09Speaker 6: is a ton of extra exposure. So that's a good thing,
- 49:11Speaker 6: and it's MSG. Someday I'll be speaking from a stage
- 49:13Speaker 6: or writing a book or something and be able to
- 49:15Speaker 6: talk about how I fought at MSG, the world's most
- 49:18Speaker 6: iconic arena four times, which to me, I just told
- 49:21Speaker 6: you I'd rather fight in Vegas. But someday, when it's
- 49:24Speaker 6: a story and where you're creating, you know, making people
- 49:28Speaker 6: feel something, they're like, dang, this dude fought in the
- 49:30Speaker 6: same vicinity as Muhammad Ali freaking Tyson and Dale Hooya
- 49:34Speaker 6: and and all those.
- 49:36Speaker 3: Madison Square guards got like that historic pull to it.
- 49:39Speaker 3: Or like Vegas it's like any us if you're a
- 49:41Speaker 3: UFC fighter, like you want you want the big pay
- 49:44Speaker 3: per view in Vegas, Yeah, because it's city.
- 49:46Speaker 6: Yeah, but MSU's Yeah, MSG is iconic.
- 49:48Speaker 3: It's when you said you made the decision four weeks ago.
- 49:51Speaker 3: How long had that offer been on the table or
- 49:54Speaker 3: did it all did it all come into fruition really quickly,
- 49:56Speaker 3: because obviously you've had everyone knows it's been the two
- 50:00Speaker 3: years in the making with Connor, that kind of falls through.
- 50:04Speaker 3: Walk us through that about how that offer kind of
- 50:06Speaker 3: came to you. So we when the fight fell through
- 50:10Speaker 3: two weeks before June twenty ninth, it was like, you know,
- 50:13Speaker 3: June fifteenth or whatever it was.
- 50:16Speaker 6: Immediately you start thinking, okay, it's a broken pinky toe.
- 50:20Speaker 6: We found out that, so it's like, hey, broken pinky toe,
- 50:22Speaker 6: we should be able to fight in six weeks, eight weeks.
- 50:24Speaker 6: So immediately we're like, hey, no big deal, and Connor's
- 50:27Speaker 6: camp was saying, it's gonna be quick. We're gonna hopefully
- 50:30Speaker 6: schedule it for August September. You know, then you start
- 50:33Speaker 6: talking about the sphere, you start talking about you know,
- 50:35Speaker 6: Salt Lake City was thrown out there.
- 50:37Speaker 3: Let me let me interrupt you before you learn that
- 50:39Speaker 3: it was like a broken pinky toe, and then like, hey,
- 50:41Speaker 3: this could be quick and everything else. Wasn't there a
- 50:43Speaker 3: moment where you still might have fought on that June
- 50:45Speaker 3: twenty ninth weekend?
- 50:46Speaker 6: There was, So they actually offered it to Max Holloway,
- 50:50Speaker 6: which he was on vacation and he wasn't in camp.
- 50:53Speaker 6: I mean to go to put your BMF belt up,
- 50:56Speaker 6: you know, with having no training camp short notice UFC
- 50:59Speaker 6: will throw a lot of money you, but is it
- 51:00Speaker 6: the smartest thing for your career In the position that
- 51:02Speaker 6: Max is in, Max is already the BMF champ, and
- 51:06Speaker 6: he's already number one contender to go fight for the
- 51:08Speaker 6: one forty five title, and he was steadfast and focused
- 51:11Speaker 6: on going to win the one forty five title. And
- 51:13Speaker 6: in this sport, the sport moves fast in a very
- 51:16Speaker 6: good way and sometimes in a very bad way. So
- 51:18Speaker 6: if you're ever in a position where you can become
- 51:20Speaker 6: the number one contender, you don't want to pass that
- 51:22Speaker 6: up because you know, just like justin Gaigie situation, justin
- 51:25Speaker 6: Gai Chee probably would have been talking about fighting for
- 51:28Speaker 6: the lightweight title, but now he lost to Max, So
- 51:31Speaker 6: now he doesn't have the steam to go fight for
- 51:33Speaker 6: the title.
- 51:33Speaker 3: He's got to go get another win. Yeah.
- 51:36Speaker 6: And then also obviously that was June twenty ninth, and
- 51:39Speaker 6: now we just had this past weekend UFC three zero
- 51:41Speaker 6: six at the Sphere. Morob versus O'Malley hadn't been announced yet,
- 51:46Speaker 6: and there was talks of me and Max. They actually
- 51:48Speaker 6: offered it to Max fighting me for the BMF belt
- 51:52Speaker 6: at the Sphere, and rightfully so he turned it down
- 51:54Speaker 6: because he wants to go win the title and he
- 51:56Speaker 6: can go defend the BMF belt whenever. So there was
- 51:59Speaker 6: a lot of different moving art's going, but Charles Olivera's
- 52:01Speaker 6: name had gotten brought in up, and it's a fight
- 52:04Speaker 6: I want to run back. It's a vengeance fight, it's
- 52:06Speaker 6: a number one contender fight. It puts me right back
- 52:08Speaker 6: into the title contention. Obviously, the last year and a half,
- 52:11Speaker 6: I've focused on doing The Ultimate Fighter, which is really
- 52:13Speaker 6: really awesome promotion on ESPN twelve weeks, and then fighting
- 52:17Speaker 6: the sport's biggest star, which doesn't exactly do great things
- 52:20Speaker 6: for you athletically to move toward the title. So now
- 52:24Speaker 6: I'm going to get back to my main thing, which
- 52:26Speaker 6: is coming into the UFC, and I've always been wanting
- 52:30Speaker 6: to be the number one guy in the world and
- 52:31Speaker 6: fight for the world title, win the world title.
- 52:33Speaker 3: So now that's where we're at.
- 52:34Speaker 6: Fight Charles Olivera, Madison Square Garden, beat him, become the
- 52:37Speaker 6: number one contender, and then I have an option to
- 52:39Speaker 6: go fight Islam, who I think is going to be
- 52:42Speaker 6: still the champ by then, or Connor.
- 52:44Speaker 3: If Connor can get his house in order yeah. Man,
- 52:47Speaker 3: it's been the photome mic right there. Yeah, it's been
- 52:51Speaker 3: such a roller coaster with the mcgregors. When did Olivera's
- 52:55Speaker 3: name come up to you? Because I would assume that,
- 52:57Speaker 3: all right, whenever you realize that the Connor fights getting punted,
- 53:02Speaker 3: maybe hopefully just a few extra weeks, you're looking at September,
- 53:06Speaker 3: and then you start to feel that, okay, he might
- 53:08Speaker 3: not be prepared for way longer than that, because I'm
- 53:12Speaker 3: almost assuming that when Olivera's name gets brought up, it's
- 53:14Speaker 3: almost like a no, like, how do we get this
- 53:17Speaker 3: Connor one? Going?
- 53:18Speaker 6: Yeah, it's definitely you want to exhaust. We wanted to
- 53:21Speaker 6: exhaust all the options to fight Connor at a realistic
- 53:26Speaker 6: date before we made a pivot. But then it just
- 53:29Speaker 6: seemed as though it was going to keep getting pushed off.
- 53:31Speaker 6: I mean it was like, hey, okay, if we could fight,
- 53:32Speaker 6: if I could fight Connor in December, I'm not going
- 53:34Speaker 6: to say yes to Olivera. But as soon as that
- 53:36Speaker 6: became a no for whatever reason, I'm like, man, boys,
- 53:39Speaker 6: I'm not I'm not.
- 53:40Speaker 3: Waiting any longer. Let's let me go bet on myself.
- 53:42Speaker 6: And this is what I it's been my brand obviously,
- 53:46Speaker 6: you know the walk on mentality, betting on yourself, because
- 53:48Speaker 6: back in two thousand and four, a young kid from
- 53:50Speaker 6: Saint Louis, Missouri bet on himself to go walk on
- 53:53Speaker 6: to missou when everybody around me said, don't do it,
- 53:56Speaker 6: You're crazy.
- 53:56Speaker 3: What do you think?
- 53:57Speaker 6: And you're just going to be a punching bag for
- 53:58Speaker 6: five years, end up becoming in all of my and
- 54:00Speaker 6: a four year national qualifier and a three year team captain.
- 54:03Speaker 3: Let's go, you know.
- 54:04Speaker 6: And then so I bet on myself and it worked out.
- 54:06Speaker 6: And then I also the thirty four year old me
- 54:08Speaker 6: in twenty twenty, the thirty four year old me in
- 54:11Speaker 6: twenty twenty bet on himself to say, you know what,
- 54:14Speaker 6: I love what I've done in Belatour. I'm the biggest
- 54:16Speaker 6: name in Bellatour. I know it's a smaller organization, but
- 54:20Speaker 6: I have financial security, I have a career security. But
- 54:24Speaker 6: I want to go bet on myself. And I told
- 54:26Speaker 6: Hunter Campbell that I said, hey, throw me into the
- 54:28Speaker 6: fire right away. I'm going to come over to UFC.
- 54:29Speaker 6: I want to be a good thing for your organization.
- 54:31Speaker 6: I want to fight the toughest guys right away. And
- 54:33Speaker 6: if I go zero and two and you guys cut me.
- 54:35Speaker 6: I can at least know that I tried to bet
- 54:38Speaker 6: on myself and take the biggest risk possible. And now
- 54:41Speaker 6: obviously coming into the UFC here, I am fighting for
- 54:44Speaker 6: the number one contender spot again, Fights of the Year,
- 54:46Speaker 6: fought for a world title, going to end up fighting
- 54:48Speaker 6: for a world title in twenty twenty five with this win.
- 54:51Speaker 3: Betting on myself has always worked out.
- 54:53Speaker 6: So in this scenario where I have a contract with
- 54:56Speaker 6: Connor that was already signed, all the fighters in the
- 54:59Speaker 6: world who of crapped on me and said I'm waiting
- 55:01Speaker 6: and wasting my time and all the different things that
- 55:03Speaker 6: they've said behind closed doors, in their heart of hearts,
- 55:07Speaker 6: they know that they would not have bet on themselves
- 55:09Speaker 6: and left this this matching up with Connor. They would
- 55:12Speaker 6: have waited as long as possible. But I'm done waiting
- 55:14Speaker 6: and I'm ready to go out there, take a chance
- 55:16Speaker 6: to let it fly, and by to myself.
- 55:17Speaker 3: How weird was it for you? Because obviously the last
- 55:20Speaker 3: year and a half has been kind of a new
- 55:21Speaker 3: process where you talk about like betting on yourself. Like
- 55:24Speaker 3: even when you came into the UFC, you're you're flying
- 55:26Speaker 3: and making sure you're prepared, making wait in case you're
- 55:29Speaker 3: a backup fight. Hey, throw me against whoever you face
- 55:31Speaker 3: Hooker coming out, have a big win there. You're facing
- 55:34Speaker 3: all these all these badasses along the way as fast
- 55:37Speaker 3: as possible. How new was it for you to kind
- 55:40Speaker 3: of like sit, be patient and the world speculates and talks.
- 55:44Speaker 3: I mean, you talk about Connor being the biggest name.
- 55:45Speaker 3: He's also like a like a public like favorite too,
- 55:49Speaker 3: So anything that comes up and gets pushed back, you
- 55:52Speaker 3: try to call him out, you get you got people
- 55:54Speaker 3: pushing every which way on, Like why you know Mike's
- 55:57Speaker 3: gonna wait for Connor, He's gonna do all this stuff.
- 55:59Speaker 3: How hard was it for you to kind of wait
- 56:00Speaker 3: this last year and a half, especially what you knew
- 56:02Speaker 3: behind closed doors. Yeah, because you're thinking, you're thinking that
- 56:06Speaker 3: it's going to make right at some point, but for
- 56:09Speaker 3: whatever reason, it didn't come into fruition right now. How
- 56:13Speaker 3: tough was it for you to kind of sit in
- 56:14Speaker 3: the batter's box this last year and a half and
- 56:16Speaker 3: not go out there and do what you normally do. Yeah,
- 56:18Speaker 3: it was. I had my days where I struggled.
- 56:21Speaker 6: You know, we've had conversations where it's like everything's good,
- 56:23Speaker 6: and then the next time it's like, dude, I don't
- 56:24Speaker 6: know what's happening. Connor tweeted this. The whole world ran
- 56:27Speaker 6: with it. This guy's talking.
- 56:29Speaker 3: You know.
- 56:30Speaker 6: There was the whole drug testing thing at the very beginning,
- 56:32Speaker 6: had to be inside the usadapool and all that kind
- 56:34Speaker 6: of stuff. There was just so many different layers, and
- 56:37Speaker 6: that's what.
- 56:37Speaker 3: Hunter Campbell said. To the very beginning.
- 56:38Speaker 6: It was like, Hey, we're gonna do this ultimate fighter thing,
- 56:41Speaker 6: but just I want you to be prepared. Booking a
- 56:43Speaker 6: fight with Connor Gregor is like nothing you've ever done before.
- 56:46Speaker 3: It's not normal. And I, you know, I held on,
- 56:50Speaker 3: you know, held on tight.
- 56:51Speaker 6: And I also enjoyed the time off. Excuse me, I
- 56:56Speaker 6: also enjoyed the time off. Honestly, I think I no
- 57:00Speaker 6: matter how much you love a sport, it can cheer
- 57:01Speaker 6: you up and spit you out and chip away at
- 57:04Speaker 6: your spirit and your soul, as you know, like today
- 57:06Speaker 6: I leave and go to Florida.
- 57:07Speaker 3: I'm gonna leave my family for the next.
- 57:09Speaker 6: Eight weeks, right, and doing that every couple of months
- 57:12Speaker 6: non stop, watching my sons grow, missing, missing, bedtimes and
- 57:16Speaker 6: missing missing dinners with them, and missing sporting events and
- 57:21Speaker 6: missing all these things. You do it so much and
- 57:24Speaker 6: you're constantly going and you're very happy because you know
- 57:26Speaker 6: God has called you to do something, but you also
- 57:27Speaker 6: are constantly dealing with the am I always making the
- 57:30Speaker 6: right decision, dealing with the dad guilt, dealing with the
- 57:33Speaker 6: husband guilt.
- 57:35Speaker 3: So I needed a little bit of time off.
- 57:37Speaker 6: So I spent the last year and a half serving
- 57:39Speaker 6: my family, loving all my family, working on my business
- 57:41Speaker 6: businesses outside of just fighting, setting myself up for after.
- 57:45Speaker 6: I laid the gloves down eventually, and it was good
- 57:48Speaker 6: for my soul. And obviously I had a litmus test
- 57:51Speaker 6: May and or April, May and June to go train
- 57:54Speaker 6: for Connor and it fell through. But it was the
- 57:56Speaker 6: best training camp of my life because I fell back
- 57:59Speaker 6: in love with the sport.
- 58:00Speaker 3: You know, as cliche as it.
- 58:02Speaker 6: Sounds, you know, you don't know how much you love
- 58:03Speaker 6: something until it's taken away from you. So being away
- 58:06Speaker 6: from the sport for a year and a half, I
- 58:08Speaker 6: was happy. I needed a little bit of time off,
- 58:10Speaker 6: but it also made me love the sport more, made
- 58:12Speaker 6: me love my coaches more, made me love the process more,
- 58:14Speaker 6: made me love what I get to do more. So
- 58:17Speaker 6: I grew as an individual in that time. And then
- 58:20Speaker 6: now now I get to go let it fly and
- 58:22Speaker 6: fight one of the scariest dudes on the planet and
- 58:24Speaker 6: Charles olivera most submission wins in the UFC history. And
- 58:29Speaker 6: it was an interesting process like nobody else would have
- 58:32Speaker 6: gone through, you know. Even speaking to my manager, he's like, Dude,
- 58:34Speaker 6: I've been doing this for twenty something years and I've
- 58:36Speaker 6: never been in a situation like this. I sometimes don't
- 58:39Speaker 6: even know how to advise you because I don't know
- 58:43Speaker 6: what the right answer is, you know, So you kind
- 58:45Speaker 6: of get stuck in a scenario where you don't know
- 58:47Speaker 6: what the right answer is. But sometimes if you have patients,
- 58:50Speaker 6: the right answer will reveal itself to you in due time.
- 58:53Speaker 6: And here we are and now November sixteenth, we get
- 58:56Speaker 6: after it.
- 58:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I have so many different rasago, but you just
- 59:00Speaker 3: mentioned OLIVERA. What do you feel like you've learned since
- 59:02Speaker 3: the last time you fought him, because that was a
- 59:04Speaker 3: you know, it'll be essentially a few years ago since you.
- 59:07Speaker 6: For Yeah, and also just the maturation process of who
- 59:10Speaker 6: I am as an individual.
- 59:11Speaker 3: And fighter.
- 59:12Speaker 6: You know, I for for better or worse. You know,
- 59:15Speaker 6: I needed to come into the UFC and stake my
- 59:18Speaker 6: claim and prove myself right. And now I have proven myself.
- 59:21Speaker 6: So Chandler one point oh was come into the UFC
- 59:25Speaker 6: prove the doubters wrong that this bellator dude can't come
- 59:28Speaker 6: in and compete with the best guys in the world. Right,
- 59:30Speaker 6: Obviously I have done that, win loser draw. It's a
- 59:32Speaker 6: great fight, win loser draw. I've hurt everybody that I fought,
- 59:35Speaker 6: win loser draw, I'm getting fight of the night, wind
- 59:37Speaker 6: loser draw. You're on the edge of your seat when
- 59:39Speaker 6: Michael Chandler steps inside the octagon, right and now Chandler
- 59:43Speaker 6: two point oh is okay. I had I had an
- 59:45Speaker 6: opportunity to step back, fall back in love with the sport,
- 59:48Speaker 6: and now I truly believe now more than ever, that
- 59:50Speaker 6: it's time for me to go win the title. So
- 59:52Speaker 6: fighting OLIVERA puts me in that position, and then Islam
- 59:56Speaker 6: is next, then maybe Max or if Connor at any
- 59:59Speaker 6: given time I can get his stuff together, I'll fight him.
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: So I'm just excited to fight differently. I know the
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: mistakes I made. I was still it was my second
- 1:00:08Speaker 6: fight in the UFC, just had a crazy knockout of
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: Dan Hooker a couple months before that, I got thrown
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: into that training camp. I essentially had three weeks off
- 1:00:17Speaker 6: between training camps when Hunter called me and said, hey,
- 1:00:19Speaker 6: you're fighting OLIVERA in Houston for the title. So I
- 1:00:22Speaker 6: went right back into training camp, and I was just
- 1:00:24Speaker 6: going and going and going, and I didn't have a
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: lot of time to fill up my cup enough and
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: fill up my mental enough to really fight the way
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: that I needed to fight to win. I needed to
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: go out there and just try to put a beating
- 1:00:38Speaker 6: on somebody. And that's been a lot of fun thus far.
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: But Chandler two point oh was coming for not just
- 1:00:42Speaker 6: for blood, but coming for the title.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: And so is there a different Chandler two point zero,
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: a different kind of maybe strategy. I guess about it
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: because if you look at like a Chandler Getchee, you
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: know it's going to be explosive, Chandler Pourier, you know
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: it's gonna be explosive on their feet, Chandler McGregor, you
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: know it's gonna probably be on the feet and explosive
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: like Olivera's kind of an unorthodox, kind of a weirder fighter,
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: like is are you you know you've been on the
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: bus before and we've talked about, Hey, you know you're
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: pretty good at wrestling too. Are the whole world more
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: of a heady yeah? More yeah, more of a heady chandler.
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: Is that what you're saying? Yeah?
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: I mean, but it's still, even even at my most strategic,
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: and even at my most veteran, and even at my
- 1:01:22Speaker 6: most smart, I'm still going to be I'm still going
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: to be the.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: Most violent guy who does.
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: It that way, right, Yeah, Because I love the violence.
- 1:01:32Speaker 6: I have the explosiveness, I have the skills, and I
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: know I can go out there and finish anybody in
- 1:01:36Speaker 6: the first round so immediately, just like I always do,
- 1:01:38Speaker 6: I'm still going to put pressure right away. I'm still
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: going to be in your face for twenty five minutes.
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: I'm still going to make you second guess yourself and
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: fight off of your back foot because I want to
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: be in control.
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: I'm always going to be in control.
- 1:01:48Speaker 6: But I think there's just been a different set of
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: decision making and a different set of of a game
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: plan that I looked at on this in this last
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: training camp because I realized the opportunity. I'm the best
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: position in the sport of mixed martial arts right now
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: if you look at it, the fighting, this number one
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: contender fight, having a contract already signed and connected to
- 1:02:09Speaker 6: with Connor McGregor for the Ultimate Fighter, So I've got
- 1:02:12Speaker 6: these I have nothing but huge fights coming up. So yeah,
- 1:02:15Speaker 6: that it gets me excited to go out there and entertain,
- 1:02:16Speaker 6: but it also gets me excited to show, go out
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: and show and prove that I'm the best fighter in
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: the world at one hundred and fifty five pounds, So
- 1:02:22Speaker 6: I'm gonna show that on November sixteenth. But it's still
- 1:02:26Speaker 6: gonna be violent and it's still gonna be fun, so
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: you guys better buy the pay per viewer.
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: We interrupt this episode to bring you something near and
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: dear to our hearts. That is Mountain Dew, and you
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: know we all need to get more of off of
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: our asses. With both flavors and a refreshing citrus kick,
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: Mountain Dew will get you off your ass and have
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: you feeling like you're an actual mountain, a mountain where
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: the weather is always perfect. Your friends are ready to
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: hang in a day of epic proportions awaits. Nothing is
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: better than beating your boys ass, whether it be washers,
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: you guys played washers, cornhole, whatever in between. Get outside,
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: I'd beat your boys ass with the refreshing mountain dew.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: The mountain is calling and you should answer, Grab your friends,
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: grab an ice cold mountain dew wherever refreshing beverages are sold,
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: and do the dow. Back to the episode, do you
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: ever think about the roster being pissed off that you
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: get a number one contender? Yep, Like you get this fight,
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: you win, you're the number one contender. Yeah, then you
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: could essentially either go for the belt, going for connor
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: do you ever think about the roster kind of being
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: getting pissed off about stuff like that? The fighters think
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: about that stuff.
- 1:03:27Speaker 6: I don't, because people can have their opinions all they
- 1:03:30Speaker 6: want and everybody can everybody can play the O Woe
- 1:03:33Speaker 6: is Me game? But just why don't you show up
- 1:03:34Speaker 6: and become a person of value? And when you show
- 1:03:37Speaker 6: up and become person of value and not worry about
- 1:03:39Speaker 6: the people trying to pull people down and just try
- 1:03:41Speaker 6: to elevate yourself, it doesn't really doesn't really bother me
- 1:03:45Speaker 6: because I know I'm in the position that I'm in,
- 1:03:46Speaker 6: whether it be happenstance, luck, good relationships, good favor, whatever
- 1:03:50Speaker 6: it may be. But it's funny, the harder I work,
- 1:03:52Speaker 6: and the better of a human being I am, the.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: Luckier I get. You know.
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: It's funny how it always works out that way. And yeah,
- 1:04:00Speaker 6: now we're in this position and the UFC doesn't care either.
- 1:04:03Speaker 6: It's like, hey, this this fight makes sense for us.
- 1:04:05Speaker 6: This is a rematch, This is a vengeance fight. Charles
- 1:04:09Speaker 6: Olivera versus Chandler one was a huge fight, a lot
- 1:04:12Speaker 6: of parody. Almost finished him in the first round. He
- 1:04:14Speaker 6: comes back and beats me in the second round because
- 1:04:16Speaker 6: I made some mistakes that I will not make again.
- 1:04:18Speaker 6: And uh, it's a fight that everyone wants to see.
- 1:04:20Speaker 6: And it's a dangerous fight. It scares the hell out
- 1:04:22Speaker 6: of me. Man Like Charles Alavera can choke all seven
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: of us out right now.
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: Uh, if you make the wrong decision, you know.
- 1:04:30Speaker 6: So it's like it's a scary fight. And those are
- 1:04:32Speaker 6: the type of uh, those are the type of circumstances
- 1:04:35Speaker 6: I like.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: I like.
- 1:04:35Speaker 6: I like opportunities in which the likelihood of failure is
- 1:04:39Speaker 6: higher than I am comfortable with and those are the
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: type of Those are the type of fights I want,
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: not just in the octagon, but in life because I
- 1:04:45Speaker 6: like to throw myself into the fire. And you know
- 1:04:48Speaker 6: that's a that's the difference between me and a lot
- 1:04:50Speaker 6: of fighters, and that's why I keep getting rewarded because
- 1:04:52Speaker 6: of it.
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: When backing up, and you're alluding to falling out of
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: love like with the sport, with the game and everything else,
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: like what what plays in that? Obviously you talked about
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: your dad guilt, husband guilt earlier on. Do you think
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: about the wear and tereri just with your age too, Like,
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: what are the things that goes on to kind of
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: make you fall out of love with the with the sport.
- 1:05:11Speaker 6: I think it's just the time, It's just the you know,
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: it's it's such a funny thing too write well football
- 1:05:16Speaker 6: and just in sports in general, every sport, like people
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: will just crap on you, not realizing that you're a
- 1:05:21Speaker 6: human being, not realizing the sacrifices that you make day
- 1:05:24Speaker 6: in and day out, and you have the same doubts
- 1:05:26Speaker 6: and fears and insecurities as everybody else, right, So we're
- 1:05:30Speaker 6: human beings. But with me, I take I take it
- 1:05:32Speaker 6: so seriously and I pour myself so fully into it
- 1:05:35Speaker 6: that I become a different human being for a couple
- 1:05:37Speaker 6: month period. And I love being that person. I love
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: that that God created me that way, and then I
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: have also created myself into that type of man.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: But it takes a toll.
- 1:05:47Speaker 6: On you because you're you're you feel like you're missing
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: out on life sometimes, and then when you bring children
- 1:05:52Speaker 6: into it, and a wife and and all these things,
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: you feel like it's the constant tug and pool between
- 1:05:58Speaker 6: doing what you need to do but also doing what
- 1:06:00Speaker 6: you want to do. And I feel like when you're
- 1:06:03Speaker 6: constantly grinding. I mean, in a twenty five month period,
- 1:06:05Speaker 6: I had six training camps, five fights. Every single fight
- 1:06:09Speaker 6: was do or die, every single fight was huge, every
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: single fight was a main event or a co main event.
- 1:06:13Speaker 6: And you're fighting the toughest, scariest guys in the world.
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: So get you can get.
- 1:06:18Speaker 6: You can become jaded by it because you look back
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: and you think, man, it's been two years and all
- 1:06:24Speaker 6: I've done is pour myself into this, so it can
- 1:06:28Speaker 6: just chip away at your passion for the sport, and
- 1:06:31Speaker 6: you know, just constantly being away from my family down
- 1:06:33Speaker 6: in Florida. I love my team and I know it's
- 1:06:35Speaker 6: the best team ever.
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: And thank god.
- 1:06:36Speaker 6: I love my coaches, I love my training partners, I
- 1:06:38Speaker 6: love our facility.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: But that two.
- 1:06:41Speaker 6: Training camps ago, when I walked in there, I was like, Man,
- 1:06:45Speaker 6: here we go again, these four walls and these guys
- 1:06:47Speaker 6: and this, and I got four hours of training today
- 1:06:52Speaker 6: and then I got to do it six days this week.
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: And do you ever think too I appreciate you, sure,
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: do you ever think too like I don't want it
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: as bad as I used to? And I asked that,
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: And I'm not putting you in a spot like to
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: you saying like, no, I don't want it, but even
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: perspective for myself, like going through it like when we
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: were you know, it was like year eight, year nine,
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: year ten, like having the fun with it that I
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: was having, but just showing up into again those same
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: four walls and just kind of knowing in the back
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: of my mind, I really just don't want this as
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: bad as as my young self did. And I know,
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: sacrificing for this sport, sacrificing for like the character and
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: the individual and the person that I wanted to create
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: in this sport. You almost feel like you're doing yourself
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: a disservice by feeling that way. You feel a little
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: I felt a little guilt when I would go about
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: it like that, knowing that I was you know, I
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: still like love playing the game, but I didn't love
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: it the same way. I didn't want to, like grip
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: my teeth. I didn't want to have to like make
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: a fifty three man roster, like throw myself at the
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: bottom of a depth chart try to become a starter.
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: I just I kind of like lost that mentality. But
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: at the same time, I was also able to relieve
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: myself of all that expectation and pressure because I was
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: getting these chances later in my career, and so I
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: to like just enjoy playing the game that I grew
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: up loving, versus all that business on top of it.
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: So that's kind of like while I was asking you,
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: like you show up and you're like, do I really
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: want this?
- 1:08:08Speaker 6: Is like I used to, Yeah, Well, and that's where
- 1:08:12Speaker 6: And I think for me now, having the clarity of
- 1:08:15Speaker 6: having a year away from it and enjoying things outside
- 1:08:19Speaker 6: of just fighting, spending more time with friends and family
- 1:08:22Speaker 6: and loved ones, but also still always staying in shape.
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: Yeah, you can start the question.
- 1:08:27Speaker 6: I think like, man, Well, when I was twenty five,
- 1:08:29Speaker 6: I used to come into a training camp and be
- 1:08:31Speaker 6: all pumped up, and I am pumped up still, like yeah,
- 1:08:33Speaker 6: crazy good pumped up at thirty.
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: Eight years old. I leave for Florida today. Crazy.
- 1:08:37Speaker 6: I don't tell anybody, but I feel like I'm twenty eight.
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: That's the thing. I definitely feel like I still have it.
- 1:08:43Speaker 6: I definitely feel like I'm the best guy in the world.
- 1:08:45Speaker 6: I definitely feel like I'm gonna beat Charles olivera because
- 1:08:49Speaker 6: this is a game of millimeters, man, and any of
- 1:08:51Speaker 6: us can beat each other on any given night, and.
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: You can't step in that octagon second guessing or half
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: passing anything because it's you versus somebody else. Any fucking yeah.
- 1:09:00Speaker 6: Well, And that's the good thing that I always am
- 1:09:02Speaker 6: able to rely upon is I know I do the
- 1:09:05Speaker 6: right things. I leave no stone unturned. I have I
- 1:09:08Speaker 6: flex my discipline muscle every single day, and I do
- 1:09:11Speaker 6: things by the book and do it as perfectly as
- 1:09:13Speaker 6: I possibly can. So I know when it's time to
- 1:09:15Speaker 6: show up and start training camp, I know I'm going
- 1:09:18Speaker 6: to show up. So there was moments where I questioned
- 1:09:20Speaker 6: it and thought, man, you used to love this more
- 1:09:22Speaker 6: than you did. But really, I think it was just
- 1:09:23Speaker 6: the wear and tear of the non stop, the mental
- 1:09:26Speaker 6: wear and terror of non stoffeah and just the non
- 1:09:30Speaker 6: stop every like, man, I just need a break.
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: I need a break. And then finally I was almost
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: forced to get a break.
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: Which is really funny because Brian Smith, our head coach
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: at Miszoo, tells a story about how I was. I
- 1:09:40Speaker 6: was one of the one of the first guys that
- 1:09:42Speaker 6: he finally had to actually pull out of practice and
- 1:09:45Speaker 6: kick out a practice and say no, you can't train
- 1:09:47Speaker 6: today and we need you.
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:09:50Speaker 6: It was like, man, he would notice that my my
- 1:09:54Speaker 6: performances would suffer, but it was because I was overtraining,
- 1:09:58Speaker 6: or I was going too hard, or I would show
- 1:10:00Speaker 6: up and do extra things that I was not asked
- 1:10:02Speaker 6: to do. But I'm like, hey, coach, I was a
- 1:10:04Speaker 6: walk on kid. I'm still that walk on kid. I
- 1:10:06Speaker 6: still I have to do more or else I'm not
- 1:10:08Speaker 6: going to be able to beat these guys. You know,
- 1:10:10Speaker 6: I'm wrestling against Jordan Burrows and Mike Poeta and Jordan Leean,
- 1:10:12Speaker 6: these top top guys. I have to do extra or else,
- 1:10:16Speaker 6: and he's like, no, man, you are. You're taking two
- 1:10:18Speaker 6: days off this week. And I'm like, wait, so that
- 1:10:19Speaker 6: everyone's going to be at practice and I'm not going
- 1:10:21Speaker 6: to be at practice and he's like, no, yes, you're
- 1:10:23Speaker 6: going to be off Wednesday and Thursday because we need
- 1:10:25Speaker 6: you to rest up. So it's kind of awesome how
- 1:10:27Speaker 6: the sport pulled me out of it. The court the sport,
- 1:10:29Speaker 6: Brian Smith me pulled me out to make me love
- 1:10:33Speaker 6: the sport even more. And I've got a new lease
- 1:10:37Speaker 6: on life and i have a new passion. So I'm
- 1:10:39Speaker 6: excited to go into this training camp. As much as
- 1:10:41Speaker 6: it sucks the first week where you it's a new
- 1:10:44Speaker 6: transition and you're missing the family and I cried this
- 1:10:46Speaker 6: morning freaking dropping half off at school. It's just like,
- 1:10:48Speaker 6: you know, it's just a part of it all.
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: You were talking about, like getting back into it. Was
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: there like a moment where you started to gain more
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: clarity in falling back in love with the sport, Like
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: the process, was it the people you're around. Was this
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: something maybe your wife said, Was it something that allowed
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: you It's like the Rocky two moment where he's there
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: having the baby, he's he's kind of half assed training,
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: but they have the baby, and his wife looks at him,
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: She's like, go do it, and then all of a sudden,
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: the Rocky montage goes off. Yeah, was there like a
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: moment for you of that clarity of like falling back
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: in love with the grind and the sport.
- 1:11:20Speaker 6: I think I think it was just when I got
- 1:11:22Speaker 6: back to this, this last training camp that ended ended
- 1:11:25Speaker 6: in not the reward I did. I did all the
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: work but didn't get the reward. Yet I still look
- 1:11:30Speaker 6: back and think, man, every single day, I couldn't wait
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: to wake up. I was getting to practice an hour early,
- 1:11:36Speaker 6: to just work on little things or just to be
- 1:11:37Speaker 6: there and watch other guys. You know, It's like, it's
- 1:11:40Speaker 6: funny how as a thirty eight year old veteran and
- 1:11:45Speaker 6: team captain down in Florida, I'm the guy who's looked
- 1:11:47Speaker 6: at as I'm the highest, the highest ranked guy, the
- 1:11:50Speaker 6: biggest name on our team roster.
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: Right, so I'm looked at like that guy.
- 1:11:56Speaker 6: So the last couple of training camps, it was just like, hey,
- 1:11:58Speaker 6: everybody looked at me that way, but I didn't look
- 1:12:00Speaker 6: at other guys that way. And excited about watching this
- 1:12:03Speaker 6: twenty two year old kid chasing his dream and watching
- 1:12:06Speaker 6: this twenty five year old kid fighting for the title
- 1:12:09Speaker 6: in this other organization and this so I got. I
- 1:12:12Speaker 6: was just so focused on myself because I had to
- 1:12:14Speaker 6: go do it, and do it and do it. But
- 1:12:16Speaker 6: then this last training camp, I found myself getting to
- 1:12:18Speaker 6: practice early watching the younger guys helping out the younger
- 1:12:20Speaker 6: guys being a part of the PENI feeling that hung yeah,
- 1:12:23Speaker 6: being a part of more, being a part of more,
- 1:12:24Speaker 6: and they're thinking, man lost the I lost a little
- 1:12:28Speaker 6: bit of the passion for all of that and the
- 1:12:31Speaker 6: love of the sport, and then just pouring into people
- 1:12:34Speaker 6: more too.
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:12:35Speaker 6: Zig Zigler says, you can have everything you want in
- 1:12:37Speaker 6: life if you're helping enough other people get what they
- 1:12:38Speaker 6: want in life. So I was of service more this
- 1:12:41Speaker 6: last training camp. But I'm excited to go down there
- 1:12:43Speaker 6: and do that this week and then get back to
- 1:12:46Speaker 6: it and be the guy there and continue to show
- 1:12:48Speaker 6: the young guys that hey, yes, I have accomplished more
- 1:12:51Speaker 6: than maybe you'll ever accomplish in your entire career. But
- 1:12:55Speaker 6: it still always goes back to the hard work and
- 1:12:57Speaker 6: the discipline and doing things right and showing up early
- 1:13:00Speaker 6: and doing more than it was asked of you and
- 1:13:01Speaker 6: being of service. So I think it was just this
- 1:13:04Speaker 6: last training camp, the entire process every single day, Yeah,
- 1:13:07Speaker 6: working out three times a day and uh, working on
- 1:13:11Speaker 6: things more, watching more film and fully immersing myself.
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: In it and doing the media and you know, having.
- 1:13:17Speaker 6: Time to still FaceTime the family and doing stuff so well,
- 1:13:19Speaker 6: you were also flying.
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: You guys were flying out there too. Like one thing
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: that you were doing in the last training camp not
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: to flex with also flex it's flying private. So that
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: way you you gain those hours in time with the
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: family when you were present with.
- 1:13:31Speaker 6: The forty seven extra waking hours I got last camp
- 1:13:33Speaker 6: with my family, so almost two full days with my
- 1:13:36Speaker 6: family to get there, a couple extra hours home on
- 1:13:39Speaker 6: Friday and be able to leave a couple extra hours
- 1:13:42Speaker 6: late on Sunday, and uh yeah, just because those are
- 1:13:45Speaker 6: times you can ever get back, man. And yeah, and
- 1:13:48Speaker 6: it's and it's a it's a it's a weird tug
- 1:13:50Speaker 6: and pool of if I can do it, I want
- 1:13:53Speaker 6: to do it. If I can make it happen, I
- 1:13:54Speaker 6: want to make it happen because I know that I
- 1:13:57Speaker 6: will perform better if I know I did as much
- 1:14:00Speaker 6: as I possibly could as.
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: With the family, Yeah, yeah, I know I will perform better.
- 1:14:05Speaker 6: And it's almost just like, Okay, all I gotta do
- 1:14:08Speaker 6: Monday morning, I wake up, I hit the ground running,
- 1:14:10Speaker 6: go hard Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. By Thursday, I'm excited
- 1:14:13Speaker 6: that I get to one more practice, train really hard,
- 1:14:16Speaker 6: get home, see the family. Maybe do one session on
- 1:14:18Speaker 6: the weekends or a recovery session. But yeah, not not
- 1:14:22Speaker 6: the flex, but the flex that was That was a
- 1:14:24Speaker 6: good That was a good situation. But we got the
- 1:14:26Speaker 6: peak a couple of weeks ago with the Nebraska. It's
- 1:14:30Speaker 6: a time machine, man, you know, and it's time in
- 1:14:32Speaker 6: this season of my life. It's it's it's time that
- 1:14:35Speaker 6: I won't ever be able to get back. And uh
- 1:14:37Speaker 6: it made me love the sport even more so this uh,
- 1:14:41Speaker 6: this camp will be no different.
- 1:14:42Speaker 3: Let's play the game. You win this fight, which one
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: would you rather say? Say? They're both there for you.
- 1:14:48Speaker 6: Yeah, we sat on the bus and I sat right there.
- 1:14:50Speaker 6: We had this same question title.
- 1:14:52Speaker 9: Yeah, well, because there's there's clearly and just to like
- 1:14:57Speaker 9: call the elephant in the room as well, it's like
- 1:14:59Speaker 9: you face somebody like like, that's different style of that's
- 1:15:02Speaker 9: a different type of money that you can that you
- 1:15:04Speaker 9: can go after.
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: The title is a different time. You know, all of
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: those factors play in your mind. But you beat Ali Vera.
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: Now Connor now realizes the machine goes on without him.
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: So whatever he's got to get going on in his
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: house that the game's not gonna wait on him, he's
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: got to figure out so hopefully force his hand to
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: fight you. Yeah, but which one.
- 1:15:24Speaker 6: He's definitely realized that the sport will continue to move
- 1:15:27Speaker 6: on without him, And I think he never thought I
- 1:15:29Speaker 6: would move on. I think he always thought while challenge.
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: You could tell by his presser the other night, by
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: him saying, I'm kind of out of the loop. It's
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: like in my mind the stuff that just I know
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: and have watched him afar as well, It's almost like, no, bro,
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: you are in the loop. You do know, like if anything,
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: you hold the key, You've held the key the whole
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: time to do it. Everybody knows that. And you kind
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: of see that he felt some type of way that
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: you are taking this fight and that he's kind of
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: watching it. Him trying to say that the UFC kind
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: of left him out of the loop. It's like, no,
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: you're just upset to see that it's going to go on,
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: no matter if you want to or not. You want
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: it to or not.
- 1:16:03Speaker 6: The UFC needs nobody. The UFC will continue to build stars,
- 1:16:07Speaker 6: continue to put on shows every single week, and continue
- 1:16:09Speaker 6: to keep pushing the envelope and growing, whether they have
- 1:16:12Speaker 6: Connor me or anybody else. And there's a freedom in
- 1:16:15Speaker 6: knowing that you're you're a you're disposable. You know, there's
- 1:16:18Speaker 6: a freedom in that knowing that you don't get too
- 1:16:21Speaker 6: high on yourself because success is rented every single day,
- 1:16:23Speaker 6: and that rent is due every single day. Talk to him, man,
- 1:16:26Speaker 6: and that's that's that's in our industry, your industry, or
- 1:16:29Speaker 6: everybody else's industry.
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: That's listening.
- 1:16:31Speaker 6: But I think I think the funny thing is I
- 1:16:33Speaker 6: don't He definitely did not know, because ultimately he's not
- 1:16:37Speaker 6: a trusted individual with information. If if if they called
- 1:16:41Speaker 6: him two weeks ago and said, hey, just so you know,
- 1:16:43Speaker 6: we're going to announce Chaander versus ala Vera, he's moving on.
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: It would have leaked.
- 1:16:46Speaker 6: He would have done his own video, you know, like
- 1:16:48Speaker 6: the swirling of the wine whenever he announced that me
- 1:16:51Speaker 6: and him we're gonna fight June twenty ninth, and I
- 1:16:53Speaker 6: called Hunter and I was like, hey, dude, do you
- 1:16:55Speaker 6: want me to corroborate this and like go come out
- 1:16:57Speaker 6: and say you know this is true? And he's like, no, dude,
- 1:16:59Speaker 6: that's it's just Connor being Connor. I effin told this
- 1:17:02Speaker 6: guy to shut his mouth and not say anything, So
- 1:17:04Speaker 6: you know, it's and Connor has earned that position. If
- 1:17:08Speaker 6: that's the way Connor wants to be and how he
- 1:17:09Speaker 6: wants to do it, that's fine. I'm completely different. I've
- 1:17:12Speaker 6: known for four weeks and haven't said anything because that's
- 1:17:16Speaker 6: I would do my job. I have a job to
- 1:17:18Speaker 6: do and if I my word is my bond, and
- 1:17:20Speaker 6: if your word is no good, then eventually you are
- 1:17:22Speaker 6: no good. So I think, like you said, Connor is
- 1:17:25Speaker 6: now a breast to the situation. I'm fighting OLIVERA if
- 1:17:31Speaker 6: I had the option, I do have that unfinished business
- 1:17:34Speaker 6: with Connor. It's it's the fight that I want. It's
- 1:17:37Speaker 6: a fight that needs to happen. Chandler versus Connor happens
- 1:17:40Speaker 6: in twenty twenty five, whether you know it's the first
- 1:17:42Speaker 6: quarter of twenty twenty five, and if it's if it
- 1:17:44Speaker 6: gets pushed off any further, I'm definitely fighting for the
- 1:17:47Speaker 6: title next.
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: That's what I want anyway.
- 1:17:49Speaker 6: The way I look at it is, I'm not gonna
- 1:17:51Speaker 6: say the Connor fight is always going to be there,
- 1:17:52Speaker 6: but the Connor fight is always in limbo. So even
- 1:17:55Speaker 6: if they would have said, hey, you can fight Connor
- 1:17:57Speaker 6: in February or January or whatever, I probably still would
- 1:18:00Speaker 6: have just fought Olive Air because the last thing I
- 1:18:01Speaker 6: want is twelve weeks before they call me and say, hey,
- 1:18:04Speaker 6: never mind, we're pushing at the international fight. We're pushing
- 1:18:06Speaker 6: it into this. We're pushing because that's how it was
- 1:18:07Speaker 6: over the last year and a half. So I deserve security,
- 1:18:10Speaker 6: or I deserve concrete, concrete dates and a concrete opponent.
- 1:18:14Speaker 6: That's what Charles Oliver is. That's what most of the
- 1:18:16Speaker 6: other guys are.
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: On the roster. Connor is not that right now.
- 1:18:19Speaker 6: He's a little bit too unreliable when it comes to
- 1:18:21Speaker 6: when he's coming back, and maybe that's the position he
- 1:18:23Speaker 6: wants to be in. That's fine, but I got a
- 1:18:26Speaker 6: job to do, and I got a title to win,
- 1:18:27Speaker 6: and I do believe I beat Islam Mahachev first quarter
- 1:18:30Speaker 6: of twenty twenty five, and I'll probably make that decision
- 1:18:32Speaker 6: to go make that fight happen unless Connor can show
- 1:18:35Speaker 6: that he's got his house over.
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: We interrupt this episode to bring you DraftKings TD Tuddy

- 1:19:40Speaker 3: even you taken the olive verified too, it sounds like
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: nothing was still even close to end of the year
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: with Connor early in twenty twenty five.
- 1:19:47Speaker 6: I don't think so well they said early twenty twenty five,
- 1:19:51Speaker 6: was you know the the target and to me on.
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: My man, for what reasoning? Like what's the especially like
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: in the beginning when you hear like when the June
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: twenty ninth they gets punted to, hey, this could be
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: like a six to ten week thing, like this could
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: be a quick recovery. Like what is taking in your brain?
- 1:20:09Speaker 3: Obviously you don't know all the perfect information on that end,
- 1:20:12Speaker 3: but in your brain, like what is taking so long?
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: Is it finding some certain date with the UFC on
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: a big pay per view? Is it him trying to
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: leverage something business wise? Money wise?
- 1:20:24Speaker 6: All of that stuff is in play, I think. And yes,
- 1:20:26Speaker 6: it's widely known. There's only twelve months in a year,
- 1:20:29Speaker 6: which is twelve to maybe thirteen pay per views they
- 1:20:32Speaker 6: do per year of those thirteen, only five or six
- 1:20:36Speaker 6: of them are in Vegas, maybe eight of them are
- 1:20:38Speaker 6: in Vegas. He needs to fight in Vegas or Madison
- 1:20:40Speaker 6: Square Garden. Those are usually the two kind of locations
- 1:20:43Speaker 6: that he fights at. So you just whittle it all
- 1:20:45Speaker 6: down to the options that you have, and all of
- 1:20:47Speaker 6: a sudden things get pushed. So that's part of it.
- 1:20:50Speaker 6: The other big question is is Connor ever going to
- 1:20:54Speaker 6: come back? Is he ever going to come back? Does
- 1:20:56Speaker 6: he still have it? Does he believe that he can
- 1:20:58Speaker 6: still do it? I think he does, But does he
- 1:21:01Speaker 6: actually care enough and love the sport enough. It's one
- 1:21:04Speaker 6: thing to sign a contract. It's one thing to say
- 1:21:06Speaker 6: you're coming back, the greatest comeback in combat sports history.
- 1:21:09Speaker 6: It's another thing to go through the grind. It's another
- 1:21:11Speaker 6: thing to put a twelve week training camp together. It's
- 1:21:15Speaker 6: another thing to actually show up to practice every single day.
- 1:21:18Speaker 6: And then even if you do, then you got to
- 1:21:21Speaker 6: look at you know, checking the blocks, the boxes, the
- 1:21:24Speaker 6: pros and cons of man, how well did I do today?
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: Are my legs working well? Am I still fast?
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: Am I?
- 1:21:30Speaker 6: I stand firm in my conviction that if Connor McGregor
- 1:21:33Speaker 6: was lined up against anybody else June twenty ninth not
- 1:21:36Speaker 6: named Michael Chandler, he would have fought with a broken
- 1:21:38Speaker 6: pinky toe. I think I bring something different to the octagon.
- 1:21:41Speaker 6: I think he signed a check in January of twenty
- 1:21:44Speaker 6: twenty three that his ass couldn't cash because he's I
- 1:21:46Speaker 6: think he just thought, I don't want to fight this guy.
- 1:21:48Speaker 6: He might beat me, but you're gonna come. You're gonna
- 1:21:50Speaker 6: you're gonna leave the octagon hurt.
- 1:21:52Speaker 3: No matter what. That's the thing.
- 1:21:54Speaker 6: You fight me. You might beat me, but it's gonna
- 1:21:57Speaker 6: be a hard, hard fought battle, and you are going
- 1:22:00Speaker 6: to leave limping, and you're gonna leave with a busted
- 1:22:02Speaker 6: lip and a black eye and some stitches. Yeah, you
- 1:22:04Speaker 6: know you're gonna get hurt. So that's uh, that's my
- 1:22:08Speaker 6: take on it. But I think it's a couple of
- 1:22:09Speaker 6: those things. The lack of the lack of dates that
- 1:22:12Speaker 6: Connor can actually fight, and his propensity and willingness to
- 1:22:15Speaker 6: actually show that he wants to put together a training camp.
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: And over all the other things that he has going
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: in the.
- 1:22:21Speaker 6: UFC, and the UFC losing a ton of money on
- 1:22:23Speaker 6: that last fight and we broke the gate record and
- 1:22:25Speaker 6: then they had to issue refunds and probably got sued
- 1:22:28Speaker 6: a couple of times because of hotels and this and
- 1:22:30Speaker 6: that and all these other things, you know, like the UFC,
- 1:22:33Speaker 6: who is a publican trading company, t.
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: KO Group, endeavor, all these guys.
- 1:22:37Speaker 6: It's like, hey, we have a we got to look
- 1:22:38Speaker 6: at this. Yes, Connor brings a lot of eyeballs and
- 1:22:42Speaker 6: probably make we make a lot of money when Connor fights,
- 1:22:44Speaker 6: but we'll do just fine without him, So he better
- 1:22:47Speaker 6: show us that he's gonna show up. And same thing
- 1:22:49Speaker 6: with me when you ask who you want to fight Islam.
- 1:22:51Speaker 6: Islam will always show up. OLIVERA will always show up,
- 1:22:54Speaker 6: Poorier will always show up. Gates, you will always show up.
- 1:22:57Speaker 6: Unless these guys cannot physically walk to the octagon. They
- 1:23:00Speaker 6: are fighters. We are fighters. We will show up. Is
- 1:23:03Speaker 6: Connor that guy anymore?
- 1:23:04Speaker 3: We don't know. Yeah, have you ever had a broken
- 1:23:07Speaker 3: peaky toe? I'm not having I shattered my big toe
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: not too long.
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: Oh we got to talk about that, dude, is did it?
- 1:23:13Speaker 3: Was it broken? I mean it was something.
- 1:23:15Speaker 6: It was black and blue within a day.
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: And I would say if Connor had anything like that,
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: I can understand and empathize a little bit with that.
- 1:23:22Speaker 3: I still showed up the next day and performed at
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: a very high level level. But yeah, that was that
- 1:23:29Speaker 3: was a that was a painful one. I just walked
- 1:23:32Speaker 3: in a shout out ethan roast, by the way, no
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: free shout out.
- 1:23:37Speaker 6: Shout out ethan roast, and a c's that go back
- 1:23:41Speaker 6: to the bus. At the very beginning, we had no
- 1:23:43Speaker 6: a C.
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: That's right, No, nothing, dude, was there. We ripped the
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: shooter right before we came on the bus. You remember
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: that the truck. We ripped the shooter. Yeah, I want
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: to say that was seanp. I want to say that
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: was Shop. Oh yeah, it was fire balls.
- 1:23:58Speaker 6: Right before we got on the bus, I shout out,
- 1:24:00Speaker 6: no free, shot out, I got Shop on the bus.
- 1:24:02Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, shot out.
- 1:24:05Speaker 6: Oh but yeah, that was back in the That was
- 1:24:07Speaker 6: back in the gritty days. Back dude, just a couple
- 1:24:09Speaker 6: of kids with the dream.
- 1:24:10Speaker 3: Man. Now you guys are all sitting pretty man. You
- 1:24:11Speaker 3: guy should see out here.
- 1:24:12Speaker 8: Man.
- 1:24:12Speaker 6: It looks like a mansion.
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: Man, it looks like a.
- 1:24:16Speaker 6: Beautiful, grow awesome sick.
- 1:24:20Speaker 3: That set is sick, bro, but you guys deserve it. Man,
- 1:24:23Speaker 3: You guys are freaking kicking. I appreciate that, man. You know,
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: how sick was how sick was the sphere. The Sphere
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: was cool.
- 1:24:29Speaker 6: It was different, you know, I'm not going to say
- 1:24:33Speaker 6: it was like it was really really cool being inside
- 1:24:35Speaker 6: of it. The you know, Mexican Independence Day. I was
- 1:24:39Speaker 6: almost too close to the screen, like if you were in.
- 1:24:41Speaker 3: Everybody pretty much too close. Well, that thing's just well
- 1:24:45Speaker 3: I was.
- 1:24:45Speaker 6: I was sitting here looking at the octagon and behind
- 1:24:48Speaker 6: the screen was behind me, so the scream was on
- 1:24:50Speaker 6: like fifteen feet behind me, so I had to like
- 1:24:51Speaker 6: turn around and look all the way up. I almost
- 1:24:54Speaker 6: fell backwards off the railing one day, or one part
- 1:24:57Speaker 6: of it, when I was trying to get a full
- 1:24:59Speaker 6: glimpse of the promos that they were doing.
- 1:25:01Speaker 3: It was really cool.
- 1:25:03Speaker 6: It was very light in there, so it felt different.
- 1:25:06Speaker 6: But it was a really really freaking cool show.
- 1:25:08Speaker 8: Man.
- 1:25:08Speaker 6: There's no way Dan's not going back to the Sphere.
- 1:25:10Speaker 6: He'll probably go back to the Sphere.
- 1:25:12Speaker 3: You think it will kind of be like an annual thing.
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: I would think so if.
- 1:25:16Speaker 6: I mean, it's all based on dates and stuff. You know,
- 1:25:18Speaker 6: there was a big, big dispute this last time because
- 1:25:20Speaker 6: Canelo fought the same night right down the road, and
- 1:25:24Speaker 6: you know.
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: It's did he win? Canelo win?
- 1:25:29Speaker 6: He had to and he had to have won or
- 1:25:31Speaker 6: else we probably all would have heard about it, because
- 1:25:33Speaker 6: Canelo is the most ridiculous boxer on the planet. But
- 1:25:37Speaker 6: it was it was fun, man, it was cool.
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:25:40Speaker 6: I think Sean O'Malley losing was was very interesting what
- 1:25:43Speaker 6: happened there s.
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: I mean, I wish I could have want the Huskers
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: play now your boys on dead duty. I was asleep
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: after the Husker game was over shot at the Skirts. Yeah,
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: uh so uh.
- 1:25:53Speaker 6: I think O'Malley just couldn't get anything done man. As
- 1:25:57Speaker 6: I said before we started recording, I think Morob's style
- 1:25:59Speaker 6: is hardest to fight in the entire world, unlimited gas tank.
- 1:26:04Speaker 6: He's not a great striker, he's not a really really
- 1:26:07Speaker 6: great grappler from a getting submissions type of guy. But
- 1:26:10Speaker 6: he will he will pick you up and put you down.
- 1:26:12Speaker 3: He will wear you out.
- 1:26:14Speaker 6: And there's nothing harder to fight than a guy, you know,
- 1:26:17Speaker 6: wrestling or fighting where a guy just won't will not
- 1:26:21Speaker 6: stop coming forward, will not stop putting pressure on you.
- 1:26:24Speaker 6: And O'Malley just wasn't able to get things done, whether
- 1:26:27Speaker 6: he had a bad night or it was flat or
- 1:26:30Speaker 6: he was flat, or it was just Morob not ever
- 1:26:32Speaker 6: letting him plant his feet, not ever be able to
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: see stuff. You could you could see that that Sean
- 1:26:38Speaker 6: was was visibly rattled. But Morob's a hard style.
- 1:26:43Speaker 3: It sounds like it was a boring fight because I
- 1:26:44Speaker 3: saw the boy Dana come out on the presser talking
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: like it seemed like every fan had a great time.
- 1:26:48Speaker 3: But I hope everybody watching they got new fans up
- 1:26:50Speaker 3: until that CO made event. He's like, oh, up until
- 1:26:53Speaker 3: the coming Yeah, I think everybody had a great time. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:26:57Speaker 3: I hope they turn their tea tough.
- 1:27:01Speaker 6: The co main event, yeah, I mean chef Chenko, which
- 1:27:03Speaker 6: I had her.
- 1:27:05Speaker 3: I had her winning.
- 1:27:05Speaker 6: She's one of my favorite girl fighters. Alexa Grosso didn't
- 1:27:11Speaker 6: didn't look bad. I think chef Chenko just it was
- 1:27:13Speaker 6: time for her to get.
- 1:27:14Speaker 3: That belt back.
- 1:27:15Speaker 6: She's she's a woman possessed. And then the rest of
- 1:27:18Speaker 6: the car is really I mean Ortega versus Diego Lopez.
- 1:27:20Speaker 6: Diego Lopez now has cemented himself inside the top five,
- 1:27:24Speaker 6: top three, probably get end up fighting for the title
- 1:27:26Speaker 6: in the next two fights, so it was.
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: It was fun good.
- 1:27:31Speaker 3: As a fighter. You hear your you hear Dana say
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: something like that, does anything go through your mind. Dana's
- 1:27:37Speaker 3: kind of just like fuck, like you know, it is
- 1:27:40Speaker 3: what it is. I kind of just I kind of
- 1:27:42Speaker 3: performed with what I was given. Yeah.
- 1:27:44Speaker 6: Yeah, Luckily, Dana has never said anything like that about
- 1:27:46Speaker 6: my fights. If anything, he's like Chandler's the arturro Gotti
- 1:27:49Speaker 6: of UFC. He's crazy. I've got some good ones, but
- 1:27:52Speaker 6: I earned it. But also, yeah, I mean that's that's
- 1:27:55Speaker 6: a tough spot, you know, because Dana's opinion is not
- 1:27:58Speaker 6: the end all be all necessarily, but it's no different
- 1:28:01Speaker 6: than if it was freaking you know, your head coach
- 1:28:03Speaker 6: comes out and says something about the defense or the
- 1:28:06Speaker 6: offense or whatever. You're like, well, damn coach, Like I'm
- 1:28:08Speaker 6: trying the best I can. But still we're all fallible
- 1:28:12Speaker 6: human beings and we have bad nights, we have bad performances.
- 1:28:14Speaker 6: As long as you as long as you look like
- 1:28:17Speaker 6: you fight fought hard. You can have a bad performance
- 1:28:20Speaker 6: but still fight hard, still lose. You know, It's all
- 1:28:22Speaker 6: about effort, just like anything in life, because the entertainment
- 1:28:26Speaker 6: value and just the the effort is so much more
- 1:28:29Speaker 6: important than the x's and the o's sometimes, But yeah,
- 1:28:32Speaker 6: I mean it was still fun for me. I thought
- 1:28:35Speaker 6: it was still a great card. I think the fans
- 1:28:36Speaker 6: got what they what they paid for, whether you were
- 1:28:39Speaker 6: inside the sphere or outside the sphere. Inside the sphere
- 1:28:42Speaker 6: was ridiculous walking in from our perspective, I think you know,
- 1:28:45Speaker 6: you guys saw the video that Taylor posted as he
- 1:28:49Speaker 6: like walked out and it just it's almost like it
- 1:28:51Speaker 6: just engulfs you, you know.
- 1:28:53Speaker 3: So the sphere is cool.
- 1:28:54Speaker 6: And I've also heard you can bring kids there and
- 1:28:57Speaker 6: do like they do, like cool Safari looking you know,
- 1:29:00Speaker 6: outer space thing. I was like, oh, I didn't know
- 1:29:02Speaker 6: you could do that because my kids would love that.
- 1:29:04Speaker 6: Rue would freaking eat it up.
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:29:06Speaker 6: Yeah, as long as she can handle the sensory overload.
- 1:29:09Speaker 6: I don't know if right it might be too much,
- 1:29:11Speaker 6: you know, like and.
- 1:29:12Speaker 3: It feels like it's too much walking in there. I
- 1:29:14Speaker 3: would have loved to been a Jack Jack was there. Yeah,
- 1:29:17Speaker 3: what was it like your experience walking into the sphere
- 1:29:21Speaker 3: From a fan experience standpoint, I'm sure it's awesome. Like
- 1:29:23Speaker 3: I talk about how different it is watching a fight
- 1:29:26Speaker 3: in Vegas versus like having the sphere just on top
- 1:29:29Speaker 3: of you the whole time.
- 1:29:30Speaker 8: Yeah, I didn't know exactly how it was going to
- 1:29:31Speaker 8: pan out while the fights were going on, like if
- 1:29:34Speaker 8: there's gonna be activations going on, but they did a
- 1:29:37Speaker 8: really good job between each fight. It was almost like
- 1:29:39Speaker 8: a Mortal Kombat style like background. Each fight had its
- 1:29:43Speaker 8: own different backdrop, and it was obviously on Mexican theme,
- 1:29:46Speaker 8: so like some would be in the jungle and then
- 1:29:48Speaker 8: others would be like ruined cities. But what, like Mike said,
- 1:29:51Speaker 8: when you just walk in onto the floor, it's just
- 1:29:54Speaker 8: like everything is all around you and it's hard to
- 1:29:57Speaker 8: take in at first, but it's it's be beautiful. That's
- 1:30:01Speaker 8: the only way to describe it. It is beautiful.
- 1:30:03Speaker 6: The clarity, Yeah, I mean the clarity that you can
- 1:30:05Speaker 6: have those screens that are a thousand foot tall and
- 1:30:08Speaker 6: freaking it looks like it's your LCD screen in your
- 1:30:13Speaker 6: living room.
- 1:30:13Speaker 3: It's it's pretty pretty cool.
- 1:30:14Speaker 8: And before they jumped into the full activations of like
- 1:30:18Speaker 8: the backgrounds, they had this kind of like cage style
- 1:30:21Speaker 8: like view where it almost looked real. It was like
- 1:30:24Speaker 8: these uh, steel bars and then all of a sudden,
- 1:30:27Speaker 8: it all opened up into like the actual atmosphere of
- 1:30:30Speaker 8: it all. But yeah, I guess from a Vegas fight
- 1:30:33Speaker 8: a T Mobile arena to the sphere, it's so big
- 1:30:37Speaker 8: and open that maybe some of that noise gets pumped
- 1:30:40Speaker 8: out of it or it just kind of travels it.
- 1:30:43Speaker 6: Did It did audibly sound a lot quieter.
- 1:30:45Speaker 8: Yeah, especially in that Sean Fi and uh chef Chenko
- 1:30:49Speaker 8: fight when they were on the ground, it was just like,
- 1:30:52Speaker 8: for a few minutes, it just felt like you could
- 1:30:54Speaker 8: hear a pin drop. But yeah, compared to T Mobile,
- 1:30:57Speaker 8: yeah definitely. But yeah, I mean in any time we
- 1:31:00Speaker 8: have an opportunity to go back to the sphere, I
- 1:31:02Speaker 8: will drop everything I can to be there.
- 1:31:04Speaker 3: Were you on the side where the spheres behind the
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: octagon or where.
- 1:31:07Speaker 8: It was, Yeah, I was like those screen dead on
- 1:31:10Speaker 8: the center of the ring or the octagon, Like I
- 1:31:13Speaker 8: had the best seat I could have possibly had. So
- 1:31:17Speaker 8: it was cool. I thought they did every You never
- 1:31:20Speaker 8: know what those kind of things. You know, Dana wants
- 1:31:22Speaker 8: to be the greatest promoter on Earth, and he very
- 1:31:24Speaker 8: well is, but you don't know if it's going to
- 1:31:26Speaker 8: be a flop or not. And from an entertainment perspective.
- 1:31:31Speaker 8: I thought that I fans got all their money's worth
- 1:31:34Speaker 8: just from the experience of all the Mexican independent stuff,
- 1:31:38Speaker 8: and so I thought it was an awesome thing to experience.
- 1:31:42Speaker 8: I don't know if they'll do another one, just because
- 1:31:44Speaker 8: I know how much money it costs. I think Dana
- 1:31:46Speaker 8: said it was like twenty million dollars and who knows
- 1:31:48Speaker 8: if they broke over that.
- 1:31:49Speaker 3: But yeah, just say I wonder how the hopefully the
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: bottom line worked out for him to where they feel
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: good about that.
- 1:31:55Speaker 8: Yeah, they said they were trying to hit like twenty
- 1:31:56Speaker 8: two five, but I don't.
- 1:31:58Speaker 6: Yeah, And that picture was where I was sitting. I
- 1:32:00Speaker 6: was up on that that first little rafter, which was probably,
- 1:32:04Speaker 6: in my opinion, the best fight because I was probably
- 1:32:06Speaker 6: a little bit further away than you guys were, but
- 1:32:09Speaker 6: I was elevated, so I was like eye level with
- 1:32:12Speaker 6: the fighter. So it was it was it was cool,
- 1:32:16Speaker 6: but I was also so close to the screen that
- 1:32:17Speaker 6: it was kind of like the screen wasn't as much
- 1:32:20Speaker 6: in play for me because I was just it was
- 1:32:22Speaker 6: behind me.
- 1:32:23Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Working with working with Hunter and Dana
- 1:32:26Speaker 3: throughout the entire process, how were they with you throughout
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: McGregor Chan are going to poor art, not for you, OLIVERA.
- 1:32:33Speaker 6: They were awesome, man, I mean they I still.
- 1:32:35Speaker 3: Took it just as frustrated as you were at times.
- 1:32:37Speaker 6: Yeah, And and there's and we have such a good
- 1:32:39Speaker 6: relationship where it's like, hey, listen, I wish we could
- 1:32:43Speaker 6: do this, but we can't, or that this is not
- 1:32:45Speaker 6: just doesn't make sense for us as a company.
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: You know, you're my guy.
- 1:32:48Speaker 6: I want to make this happen, but we can't do this.
- 1:32:50Speaker 6: But then when I asked for something and then they're like, oh,
- 1:32:52Speaker 6: you know what, forget it, man, We'll make it happen.
- 1:32:54Speaker 3: We're gonna make it happen for you.
- 1:32:55Speaker 6: You know, Like we we've had a really good relationship
- 1:32:58Speaker 6: and I think it's a testament to they know they
- 1:33:00Speaker 6: can trust me to be a good dude. You know,
- 1:33:02Speaker 6: they know they can trust me to show up, and
- 1:33:03Speaker 6: they know they can trust me to show up when
- 1:33:05Speaker 6: the lights come on and put on a great fight.
- 1:33:07Speaker 6: So when you have that kind of relationship, that kind
- 1:33:09Speaker 6: of asset inside of the company, then it's very easy
- 1:33:13Speaker 6: to get things done. It's not always the right, it's
- 1:33:15Speaker 6: not always the answer you want to hear, but it's
- 1:33:17Speaker 6: it's portrayed in a way like, hey, if we can,
- 1:33:19Speaker 6: if we can make it something happened for you, We're
- 1:33:21Speaker 6: going to make it happen. And they were always in
- 1:33:22Speaker 6: constant contact. As you alluded to earlier, I had enough
- 1:33:26Speaker 6: reassurances behind the scenes that the fight was going to
- 1:33:29Speaker 6: eventually get booked up until finally it got booked, and
- 1:33:31Speaker 6: then obviously it ultimately fell through. But they they were
- 1:33:34Speaker 6: always in constant contact with me, and we always made
- 1:33:38Speaker 6: it happen, even though you know, sometimes it'd be weeks,
- 1:33:41Speaker 6: weeks that would go by without us talking, and I
- 1:33:43Speaker 6: just got my job to do, which is stay in
- 1:33:45Speaker 6: shape and get ready for the fight whenever it did happen.
- 1:33:47Speaker 3: Yeah, you have some pune with with a twist question, JP,
- 1:33:50Speaker 3: do you do you have anything? I know you're you're
- 1:33:52Speaker 3: our UFC expert, are UFC analysts? Yeah, I don't know
- 1:33:57Speaker 3: if I miss anything. I know you're You're deep. You're
- 1:33:59Speaker 3: deep in the cut when it comes.
- 1:34:00Speaker 6: To uf You deepen the cut, dude, all right?
- 1:34:04Speaker 3: Twisted tea, refreshing, twisted tea. Do we have the uh?
- 1:34:11Speaker 3: I love it all right? Refreshing, hard eyes teammatee with
- 1:34:16Speaker 3: ruberw T and five percent alcohol, full of flavor and
- 1:34:18Speaker 3: very refreshing. It goes down smooth and there's zero carbonation,
- 1:34:22Speaker 3: which makes it easy to drink all day long. It
- 1:34:24Speaker 3: was Chandler's favorite when he was at Missoo H. It
- 1:34:26Speaker 3: is the perfect beverage or alcohol for game day, whether
- 1:34:28Speaker 3: tailgating in the parking lot, watching at a bar, watching
- 1:34:30Speaker 3: at home with your friends. Twisted T is there to
- 1:34:32Speaker 3: turn up your game day. Keep it twisted with the
- 1:34:34Speaker 3: with the boys and grab a refreshing twisted tea today. Mike,
- 1:34:39Speaker 3: This twisted question for you is number one? Do you
- 1:34:42Speaker 3: have do you have enemies? Like? Do you have somebody
- 1:34:44Speaker 3: you hate? If I say do you have somebody who hate?
- 1:34:46Speaker 3: Did somebody flash in your mind? You have to say who? Sure? Yeah?
- 1:34:50Speaker 3: All right? You receive The twisted question is you receive
- 1:34:54Speaker 3: one million dollars but your worst enemy would receive five
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: million dollars. Do you take the money? Yes? Let's say
- 1:35:02Speaker 3: it's you receive five hundred thousand dollars and they receive
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: five million. Because I'm with you on the one million dollars,
- 1:35:10Speaker 3: I think you get a chance to get a million
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: domes you take a million.
- 1:35:12Speaker 6: Dollars because it's it's free money, and it's free money.
- 1:35:14Speaker 6: And one of the craziest things about money too, you
- 1:35:17Speaker 6: got to put your mindset around it is like there's
- 1:35:19Speaker 6: enough to go around, and just because you make money
- 1:35:21Speaker 6: doesn't mean that I can't make money unless we're directly
- 1:35:24Speaker 6: competing for one certain thing. Right, So I'm like, I'll
- 1:35:26Speaker 6: take money all day long because I don't care first
- 1:35:28Speaker 6: of all, that person if I if I don't like
- 1:35:31Speaker 6: them that much, they're probably not that great. They're probably
- 1:35:32Speaker 6: gonna squander it and have bad luck before them anyway.
- 1:35:35Speaker 6: And I'm a good dude, so good things are gonna
- 1:35:37Speaker 6: keep happening to me. So I'll take the one million
- 1:35:38Speaker 6: dollars and let them have five and probably end up
- 1:35:40Speaker 6: losing it all.
- 1:35:41Speaker 3: What about the two hundred and fifty thousand dollars?
- 1:35:43Speaker 6: Oh shoot, yeah, I'll probably still take it. Hundred one
- 1:35:46Speaker 6: hundred bucks, one hundred thousand, Yes, might as well.
- 1:35:52Speaker 3: Too, Yeah, fiftyk they get two hunder k. Well, he's
- 1:35:56Speaker 3: he's saying.
- 1:35:56Speaker 6: Yeah with I think I say yeah, no matter what,
- 1:35:59Speaker 6: because I'm like, I think it's a good it's a
- 1:36:01Speaker 6: good exercise in confident expectancy and like the law of
- 1:36:06Speaker 6: attraction or whatever to be like, hey, I'll take what
- 1:36:09Speaker 6: I can get, and I'll take something good even if
- 1:36:11Speaker 6: it means someone else gets something, because I'm not worried
- 1:36:13Speaker 6: about anything else anybody else has.
- 1:36:16Speaker 3: Yeah, but it would be tough, and if your enemy
- 1:36:18Speaker 3: was listening, it's more one of those things, like they
- 1:36:20Speaker 3: probably need it more than I do. Yeah, I've Yeah,
- 1:36:27Speaker 3: I can't tell you what are y'all doing. Everybody's taking it.
- 1:36:31Speaker 3: I assume mitched you get ten thousand dollars, your worst
- 1:36:36Speaker 3: enemy gets one hundred thousand dollars.
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: I don't know if I hate anybody that.
- 1:36:40Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying when Taylor was asking me, I
- 1:36:42Speaker 3: think we did this question too, or something similar, like
- 1:36:44Speaker 3: on the plane when we did our twisted adventure with
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: Nebraska Michigan. But I was like, I don't really have
- 1:36:50Speaker 3: anybody I hate like that to where I wouldn't.
- 1:36:53Speaker 6: That's kind of how I wouldn't necessarily care.
- 1:36:55Speaker 8: Who is your biggest enemy I don't know and say
- 1:36:59Speaker 8: their full name.
- 1:37:00Speaker 3: Brett BioMA, head coach of Illinois. Yeah, it changes every week, man. Yeah,
- 1:37:07Speaker 3: Brett Brett Beoma is enemy number one, not only is
- 1:37:11Speaker 3: he playing the Huskers, but he and he not only
- 1:37:14Speaker 3: took the Big Ten title from us, he shoved it
- 1:37:17Speaker 3: up our asses when he took that Big Ten title
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: from today because he's the head coach of Wisconsin when
- 1:37:21Speaker 3: we played the Big Ten.
- 1:37:22Speaker 5: Will you get a million dollars but Nebraska loses the
- 1:37:26Speaker 5: national championship? Do you take the million dollars?
- 1:37:35Speaker 3: This is like the live stream during Michigan. There's always
- 1:37:42Speaker 3: next time. I'd pass on the million dollars because you
- 1:37:47Speaker 3: could look at it as you're paying a million dollars
- 1:37:49Speaker 3: for national title, but I'm not paying for it. This
- 1:37:50Speaker 3: is like this is just a like, hey, we'll give
- 1:37:53Speaker 3: you a million dollars, but Nebraska loses the national championship,
- 1:37:56Speaker 3: Like we're solid, Like I'm in a good spot to
- 1:38:01Speaker 3: where I would say I'll forego the a million dollars
- 1:38:04Speaker 3: for Nebraska ab a national title, dud. What would your
- 1:38:07Speaker 3: number be to take? Yeah, I mean five jumps in
- 1:38:13Speaker 3: my head, but I'm sure I would take less than.
- 1:38:15Speaker 6: Five one point one and then anybody and then anybody
- 1:38:21Speaker 6: who was mad at you, you just give him, give
- 1:38:22Speaker 6: him an n IL deal in Nebraska. Yeah, with the
- 1:38:25Speaker 6: money you didn't win a million. You didn't, you didn't
- 1:38:27Speaker 6: win the national title, but I got five mil.
- 1:38:29Speaker 3: I can you know? I love spin. I love that spin.
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: And then then it's like two.
- 1:38:36Speaker 6: The bus and then then Nebraska wears the bus logo
- 1:38:40Speaker 6: and a bunch of a bunch of different things.
- 1:38:43Speaker 3: Yes, go take two million by Dylan Stewart from US.
- 1:38:47Speaker 6: Yeah start, yeah, yeah, number six.
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: I saw that. We got correct on that. He's number six,
- 1:38:52Speaker 3: not number five from South Carolina. Crazy monster, but yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:38:59Speaker 6: That's like when when they asked Taylor, he's like, hey,
- 1:39:03Speaker 6: Michigan wins tonight, but Chandler gets knocked out by McGregor.
- 1:39:07Speaker 6: He's like, we're taking that national title, buddy, Sorry, it's crazy.
- 1:39:11Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 1:39:12Speaker 6: I'm like, I'm right here, bro, yeah, live on live stream.
- 1:39:15Speaker 3: Right, Taylor. I think his fandom should be in a
- 1:39:19Speaker 3: little bit of question. We're gonna have to call him
- 1:39:21Speaker 3: to the stand. I think we got to call him
- 1:39:23Speaker 3: to the stand. He should be I don't even know.
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: I'll just wait to say that.
- 1:39:26Speaker 6: How was that though, you guys went to Nebra Was
- 1:39:28Speaker 6: it Michigan first then Nebraska?
- 1:39:30Speaker 3: Yeah, so in the same day left at like six am.
- 1:39:33Speaker 3: We flew out at six am from Nashville to go
- 1:39:35Speaker 3: to ann Arbor, do Anne Arbor, and then to make
- 1:39:39Speaker 3: the Nebraska game to land at four thirty. We had
- 1:39:42Speaker 3: to leave right after like a series or two after
- 1:39:45Speaker 3: halftime from the Michigan game. Then we get to the
- 1:39:48Speaker 3: plane fly to Lincoln.
- 1:39:51Speaker 6: Greatest day, greatest day ever, greatest day ever, greatest day
- 1:39:53Speaker 6: of my life.
- 1:39:55Speaker 3: Tough man. That's thinking about both the way to beat
- 1:39:58Speaker 3: his birth, tough to beat. We had mcflurry's waiting on us.
- 1:40:02Speaker 3: That the land in Nebraska clutch. I mean, they truly
- 1:40:07Speaker 3: could not have gone any better. For myself and if
- 1:40:10Speaker 3: I'm thinking me personally personally, that day went as good
- 1:40:17Speaker 3: as it could have for sure.
- 1:40:19Speaker 10: Well, and it's just a gross secretly, don't tell anybody
- 1:40:26Speaker 10: the entire day could not have win any better.
- 1:40:30Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, you see what we're saying. No, the
- 1:40:35Speaker 3: whole what what was the bad part of the day, Yeah,
- 1:40:38Speaker 3: if something, if something you Michigan lost, Yeah, badly it
- 1:40:42Speaker 3: was at day. It was a great day. It's a
- 1:40:45Speaker 3: day for you. It was a great day for you.
- 1:40:50Speaker 6: I mean it also just the testament, even in his sorrow,
- 1:40:55Speaker 6: you know, even in the sorrow of maybe losing a game.
- 1:40:57Speaker 3: It's still the bus is winning, man, the bus, the.
- 1:41:00Speaker 6: Buses, the boys, the boys are winning. And in the
- 1:41:02Speaker 6: moments that game, and.
- 1:41:04Speaker 3: He's starting to he's starting to process what it feels
- 1:41:06Speaker 3: like to lose, especially they got whooped by Texas pretty bad.
- 1:41:09Speaker 3: Yeah bad, And so you know you start to like, hey,
- 1:41:13Speaker 3: this is fandom. But then you get this. Last weekend,
- 1:41:16Speaker 3: I saw him tweet talking about he missed the game.
- 1:41:18Speaker 3: He slept through the Michigan game. And to me, that
- 1:41:21Speaker 3: calls in the question like how big of a fan
- 1:41:24Speaker 3: are you?
- 1:41:24Speaker 8: Bro?
- 1:41:25Speaker 3: That's true, you know what I mean. But got away
- 1:41:27Speaker 3: till we all get back on the bus.
- 1:41:29Speaker 6: Sometimes you got Sometimes you gotta feel that though, you know,
- 1:41:33Speaker 6: you gotta feel the sting, you know, and maybe even
- 1:41:36Speaker 6: fall out of love with it a little bit, and
- 1:41:37Speaker 6: to come back as the best fan.
- 1:41:38Speaker 3: He can't afford that because his fanom just started last
- 1:41:41Speaker 3: year and just should just be a fan. Win the
- 1:41:43Speaker 3: national title and then just off you.
- 1:41:46Speaker 6: Set up for failure right away. Man, you want to
- 1:41:47Speaker 6: win the national titles.
- 1:41:49Speaker 3: The fans in general, like, I hated seeing that from
- 1:41:51Speaker 3: the boy Taylor, but I sent out a tweet a
- 1:41:54Speaker 3: little bit after kind of like, hey, their fans are
- 1:41:57Speaker 3: kind of just in question, like they won a national title.
- 1:41:59Speaker 3: Like half the stadium left at halftime. How about port
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: what's Portnoy doing these days? He was at pizza fest,
- 1:42:06Speaker 3: so he wasn't catching the game.
- 1:42:07Speaker 6: Oh man, see this and this is why, this is
- 1:42:10Speaker 6: why it's gonna be Missoo versus the Huskers in the
- 1:42:11Speaker 6: national title.
- 1:42:12Speaker 3: That she might both be in the collegetwall playoff this year.
- 1:42:14Speaker 3: See it's not. You know, we got a tough one
- 1:42:17Speaker 3: this week against Illinois. You met Matthew McConaughey too.
- 1:42:20Speaker 6: Yeah, did he say he was coming on the bus.
- 1:42:22Speaker 3: No, he has not, but Jack identified him. We didn't
- 1:42:25Speaker 3: ask him, but Jack identified him as the next guy
- 1:42:27Speaker 3: to He's gotta be days until he comes on the bus.
- 1:42:30Speaker 3: Tweeting a photo of him until he comes on the bus.
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: I like that.
- 1:42:33Speaker 3: He would be awesome, though. I think McConaughey would be
- 1:42:35Speaker 3: all time.
- 1:42:35Speaker 6: There's enough pictures and screenshots to him out there.
- 1:42:38Speaker 3: Yeah, all his movies he's been in. That'll work in Michigan.
- 1:42:42Speaker 3: Also twenty eight eighteen against Arkansas State, thirty picks the
- 1:42:45Speaker 3: quarterbacks picks Man.
- 1:42:47Speaker 6: Twenty eight to eighteen Arkansas State.
- 1:42:49Speaker 3: Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how Michigan does this
- 1:42:52Speaker 3: year after, you know, after winning the Natty last year.
- 1:42:57Speaker 3: Real high on themselves, aren't they. Yeah, they are high
- 1:43:00Speaker 3: on themselves. Alabama looked really good, Tennessee. But also you
- 1:43:06Speaker 3: guys put who Kent State.
- 1:43:09Speaker 6: I mean, shout out Jillian Edelman, no doubt the first.
- 1:43:14Speaker 3: You guys put thirty throughout an onside kick, right.
- 1:43:17Speaker 8: Yeah, But apparently I've been hearing because my my cousin
- 1:43:22Speaker 8: was a GA jack and apparently that onside kick was
- 1:43:28Speaker 8: to give them better field position. So we were like
- 1:43:31Speaker 8: trying to give them a handout because in the second
- 1:43:34Speaker 8: half we also they offered to make it a running
- 1:43:37Speaker 8: clock for the second half and Kent State denied and
- 1:43:40Speaker 8: they were like, I saw that so apparently, which regardless,
- 1:43:44Speaker 8: even if I honestly love that we did an onside
- 1:43:47Speaker 8: kick and I wanted to be because we were just
- 1:43:48Speaker 8: like foot on the throat type mentality, but apparently it
- 1:43:51Speaker 8: was to try and give them better field position.
- 1:43:53Speaker 3: That's also and mass disrespect. Yeah, I know.
- 1:43:57Speaker 8: But here we are this week though, is the test
- 1:44:00Speaker 8: kick off just stands there. It's Tennessee Oklahoma, and they
- 1:44:03Speaker 8: said it's game day, so it's at Oklahoma. So this
- 1:44:06Speaker 8: would be our big first test.
- 1:44:08Speaker 3: Do we know what the opening line is? I know,
- 1:44:10Speaker 3: but I'm sure, bro, I think Tennessee could whip their ass.
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:44:16Speaker 8: I'm I just hope everyone.
- 1:44:20Speaker 3: I always love college football. It's all good. Missoo's got
- 1:44:23Speaker 3: a little bit of a squad. Now. I will say
- 1:44:25Speaker 3: I did call Boston College plus sixteen and a half,
- 1:44:28Speaker 3: but Missoo's got a tough team.
- 1:44:30Speaker 8: Tennessee opened his six and a half point favorite.
- 1:44:32Speaker 3: I'm hammering that. I gotta get on that right now
- 1:44:35Speaker 3: because you know it's gonna move. Yeah. Brady Cook first
- 1:44:38Speaker 3: form athlete, dude, do what Brady Cook? First? He's a
- 1:44:42Speaker 3: first form athlete. Oh good for him, dude. I'm trying
- 1:44:45Speaker 3: to be a first form athlete, dude, you gotta be
- 1:44:47Speaker 3: a first form athlete. Come on up, hook the Saint
- 1:44:50Speaker 3: Louis boy up, dude. Yeah, I went on because what
- 1:44:54Speaker 3: is what is it called? Now? What's this podcast called? Now?
- 1:44:57Speaker 3: Real as fuck? Really? And he uh he he did
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: just bring back the m f CEO Piles say you boy, yeah,
- 1:45:04Speaker 3: you had an appearance on the m F co like
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: twenty fourteen or fifteen.
- 1:45:08Speaker 6: Maybe yeah, I need to do that yeah again now
- 1:45:11Speaker 6: that he brought it back.
- 1:45:11Speaker 3: Dude, shout out out. Is this brought to us by somebody,
- 1:45:17Speaker 3: sport Clips, Oh, sport Clips, and I have a good
- 1:45:23Speaker 3: I have a good shout out this week. Just stay put, Mike.

- 1:46:01Speaker 3: No free shot out this week, Mike, I hope you
- 1:46:04Speaker 3: have one. Is going to go to flickering when people
- 1:46:09Speaker 3: flicker their lights, no letting you know that there's a
- 1:46:13Speaker 3: cop waiting down the highway. Happened a couple of times
- 1:46:17Speaker 3: on the drive to Missouri and back. I got to
- 1:46:19Speaker 3: do one as well. I'm just letting the whole other
- 1:46:21Speaker 3: side of the highway know. Hey, you got there were
- 1:46:23Speaker 3: two sitting there was one you go over hill and
- 1:46:25Speaker 3: then there was another one. So they were out to
- 1:46:27Speaker 3: get people's speed. But when people are flickering their lights
- 1:46:30Speaker 3: tell letting you know that they hey there's a cop
- 1:46:31Speaker 3: down here. Make sure you control your speed, get your
- 1:46:34Speaker 3: shit in order. But that's my shout out, no free
- 1:46:37Speaker 3: shout out.
- 1:46:37Speaker 6: So yeah, I think you're yeah, you might be able
- 1:46:41Speaker 6: to get in trouble with you.
- 1:46:42Speaker 3: I think you do, actually, but you should. Maybe I
- 1:46:44Speaker 3: didn't do it. People would go help for me.
- 1:46:46Speaker 6: People helping people, man, So we believe, we believe in humanity, right,
- 1:46:49Speaker 6: So my shout out for no free shoutouts goes to
- 1:46:51Speaker 6: people who put their shopping cart away.
- 1:46:55Speaker 3: Nice in a world where.
- 1:46:56Speaker 6: Laziness continues to win. The people who will walk to
- 1:47:01Speaker 6: their car and then walk it all the way back
- 1:47:04Speaker 6: through receptacle and not leave.
- 1:47:05Speaker 3: It on a curb. Try And that's my shout out.
- 1:47:10Speaker 3: Does anybody here put their card away? Sure? I can
- 1:47:13Speaker 3: see you being a guy who doesn't put their card away.
- 1:47:17Speaker 7: There's a guy actually the cart ark cart narks Yeah, yeah,
- 1:47:20Speaker 7: the Cartnark completely changed the game. Ever since I saw
- 1:47:23Speaker 7: carton Arks on TikTok. He goes around the country, he
- 1:47:26Speaker 7: finds people that don't put their carts away. It scared
- 1:47:29Speaker 7: the shit out of me, so I always put.
- 1:47:31Speaker 6: My follow I follow cart Narks. It's actually hilarious. Yeah,
- 1:47:33Speaker 6: he wears GoPro. He'll put a sticker on your car
- 1:47:35Speaker 6: that says I'm the lazy Bones. So like, he made
- 1:47:38Speaker 6: a really cool brand out of it. But even when
- 1:47:40Speaker 6: people aren't looking, it's the things that you do right
- 1:47:42Speaker 6: when people aren't looking you don't get any credit for
- 1:47:44Speaker 6: that will then release the positive karma that good things
- 1:47:47Speaker 6: that will happen to you.
- 1:47:48Speaker 3: Because I truly believe that.
- 1:47:49Speaker 6: You can't be successful in life if you're one of
- 1:47:50Speaker 6: those people who just doesn't put their shopping card away.
- 1:47:53Speaker 3: It's the little things. It's a little bit of details,
- 1:47:55Speaker 3: it's a little thing.
- 1:47:56Speaker 6: So shout out to all those people who do it,
- 1:47:58Speaker 6: and they stand firm in their convictions that they just
- 1:48:01Speaker 6: because it's someone else's job to do it doesn't mean
- 1:48:03Speaker 6: that you can be lazy and not put it away.
- 1:48:05Speaker 3: One thing that I like to do because usually the
- 1:48:07Speaker 3: parking spot right next to the uh right next to
- 1:48:10Speaker 3: putting your carts always open because people are like, why
- 1:48:12Speaker 3: would you park next to it? Because you risk it
- 1:48:14Speaker 3: in it.
- 1:48:15Speaker 6: But I'll just park right next now, see this that way,
- 1:48:17Speaker 6: whenever I get done, I just see it now. Some
- 1:48:20Speaker 6: people would say, oh, well, that's really easy to do that.
- 1:48:22Speaker 6: But it's like, it's okay to make decisions that make
- 1:48:26Speaker 6: doing the right thing easier. It's okay to make you know,
- 1:48:29Speaker 6: I'm not saying I'm not saying I'm any better because
- 1:48:32Speaker 6: I will push it a thousand yards and all that,
- 1:48:34Speaker 6: but like, yeah, if I park next one, no matter what,
- 1:48:37Speaker 6: it just it's a non negotiable that needs to be done.
- 1:48:38Speaker 6: So there's nothing wrong with parking next.
- 1:48:40Speaker 3: You got to as long as you.
- 1:48:40Speaker 6: Put it away.
- 1:48:41Speaker 3: Yeah, you got to build around your laziness. I'm like
- 1:48:43Speaker 3: the most I'm like the laziest person that I know,
- 1:48:45Speaker 3: So I got to set myself up. That's efficient, that's
- 1:48:47Speaker 3: just efficiency, little successes, that's efficiency.
- 1:48:50Speaker 5: Man.
- 1:48:50Speaker 6: As long as you do the right thing, whether doing
- 1:48:52Speaker 6: the right thing was harder for you than it was
- 1:48:54Speaker 6: for me, as long as you do the right thing,
- 1:48:55Speaker 6: that's all that matters.
- 1:48:56Speaker 3: Amen to go back to yours.
- 1:48:59Speaker 5: There is like a rumor conspiracy out there, and this
- 1:49:02Speaker 5: is why I have stopped flashing people going the opposite way.
- 1:49:05Speaker 5: If I see a cop is in gangs, it's alleged
- 1:49:10Speaker 5: to be an initiation when you they have to kill
- 1:49:13Speaker 5: somebody that flashes their lights at them.
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: On the road.
- 1:49:15Speaker 3: Dude, I see gang. I've heard that. I can't believe
- 1:49:18Speaker 3: that's freaking.
- 1:49:21Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:49:23Speaker 3: They got to go kill you.
- 1:49:24Speaker 6: I've heard that since like high school.
- 1:49:26Speaker 3: I had to stop. I don't know if it was
- 1:49:30Speaker 3: on the highway, Like, let's just keep it clean on
- 1:49:31Speaker 3: the highway out there. Boys. You guys are listening to
- 1:49:33Speaker 3: this and that rumor is Drew. Be careful in cities
- 1:49:36Speaker 3: and towns. Yes, flash at your own risks. Yeah, flash
- 1:49:39Speaker 3: at your own risk. And I was thinking too, I
- 1:49:41Speaker 3: was like, I wonder if that's like an illegal thing
- 1:49:44Speaker 3: to like tip people off. Okay, there's a copack, but
- 1:49:46Speaker 3: at the end of the day, we're all trying to
- 1:49:47Speaker 3: get each other, right, yeah man, Oh yeah. Somebody said
- 1:49:54Speaker 3: that my brides weren't working, so I was just trying
- 1:49:55Speaker 3: to feel them out, like oh it's one in the afternoon,
- 1:49:59Speaker 3: or I try to try see the light on the end,
- 1:50:00Speaker 3: try to put my blinker on and you actually flip it.
- 1:50:03Speaker 3: Flipp it.
- 1:50:03Speaker 6: You always said that because I've done that before. You
- 1:50:05Speaker 6: actually flip it, and you're like.
- 1:50:06Speaker 3: Oh, shoot, that's a good call too. It's like, sir,
- 1:50:09Speaker 3: you can't prove that I did not accidentally. Yeah, yes,
- 1:50:12Speaker 3: I know you were sitting there any more shoutouts in
- 1:50:14Speaker 3: the back.
- 1:50:16Speaker 1: Okay, Mitch, I moved this weekend and that feeling of
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: finally getting everything like in your house and sort of settled.
- 1:50:27Speaker 3: Haven't you already said this one?
- 1:50:29Speaker 1: Yeah, but I just I need to do it again
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: because he said.
- 1:50:32Speaker 3: This one like a couple so important.
- 1:50:34Speaker 6: It's so important that every time you move.
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: I moved like three months ago, and I just did
- 1:50:38Speaker 1: it again and it sucked.
- 1:50:40Speaker 11: But like we the new house has like a it
- 1:50:44Speaker 11: has like a projector, and me and me and my
- 1:50:48Speaker 11: roommate Foul were just literally like your stereotypical pick you
- 1:50:52Speaker 11: and Foul.
- 1:50:52Speaker 3: It's you guys every time too. Yeah, I mean, it's
- 1:50:56Speaker 3: just moving everywhere. Shout out the boys, man shout out
- 1:51:00Speaker 3: one month leases.
- 1:51:02Speaker 11: Yeah no, and we were doing we were doing our
- 1:51:04Speaker 11: other buddies a solid to kind of match up our leases.
- 1:51:07Speaker 11: So we can all move in together. But like it
- 1:51:09Speaker 11: was literally your stereotypicals, like what guys need to be happy.
- 1:51:13Speaker 11: It was a chair, two chairs, a little foot rest,
- 1:51:16Speaker 11: and like we had red zone going and like just
- 1:51:19Speaker 11: sitting there and me and him maybe said it like
- 1:51:21Speaker 11: six times, like bro, this.
- 1:51:22Speaker 3: Is so sick.
- 1:51:23Speaker 1: We are so happy to be here.
- 1:51:24Speaker 11: And like once it's over, settled and done with all
- 1:51:28Speaker 11: of that ship but again, shout out that feeling.
- 1:51:31Speaker 1: It's a good feeling.
- 1:51:32Speaker 3: It's a good feeling, Mitch, Like I got one. I
- 1:51:35Speaker 3: got a great one.
- 1:51:36Speaker 6: You guys have never heard this before.
- 1:51:38Speaker 3: By shout out.
- 1:51:39Speaker 7: Every shout out goes to birthday weeks. When I was
- 1:51:42Speaker 7: growing up, it was just the birthday. You'd celebrate the birthday.
- 1:51:48Speaker 3: Birthday weeks because it's my birthday week.
- 1:51:51Speaker 7: Hey, birthday weeks are awesome and birthday.
- 1:51:57Speaker 3: Special.
- 1:51:57Speaker 7: Dude, Will's is nineteenth, my wife's is eighteenth. She grew
- 1:52:03Speaker 7: up doing birthday weeks, and they would make like a
- 1:52:06Speaker 7: big deal, just like starting on that Monday or Sunday.
- 1:52:09Speaker 7: You just like celebrate every single day. It's been fun.
- 1:52:12Speaker 7: She does it for me, it's going to do it.
- 1:52:16Speaker 7: What's up with all the l's what's up with all
- 1:52:18Speaker 7: the eye rolls?
- 1:52:18Speaker 3: What's going on?
- 1:52:20Speaker 7: All right, let's hear let's hear it.
- 1:52:23Speaker 5: For me personally, my birthday is on Christmas, so just
- 1:52:27Speaker 5: forget that. My birthday is barely celebrated anyway. So when
- 1:52:31Speaker 5: people are talking about, oh, it's my birthday month, it's
- 1:52:33Speaker 5: my birthday week, Like, hey, honestly, nobody cares so except
- 1:52:41Speaker 5: for Jill. Jill shares the same birthday as my brother. Yeah,
- 1:52:45Speaker 5: so we'll let this birthday, this can be the birthday week.
- 1:52:47Speaker 1: I'll celebrate.
- 1:52:50Speaker 6: Birthday weeks birthday week.
- 1:52:55Speaker 3: I can know. I'm not going to shout out. Finally
- 1:52:57Speaker 3: get into my apartment.
- 1:52:58Speaker 5: I will the last thing I'll do is give them praise,
- 1:53:02Speaker 5: but I'll shout out. As sad as it was, I
- 1:53:06Speaker 5: have to shout out the fans at South Carolina and
- 1:53:08Speaker 5: Williams Brice. We went through one of the worst feelings,
- 1:53:14Speaker 5: worst experiences you could ever have. But game day and
- 1:53:18Speaker 5: in the stadium, they showed out. We have not seen
- 1:53:21Speaker 5: a crowd like that.
- 1:53:23Speaker 3: Man, I don't even know.
- 1:53:24Speaker 5: Like the Tennessee game was epic, but there was something
- 1:53:27Speaker 5: different where like we had some swagger about us, and
- 1:53:30Speaker 5: the fans just like they truly made a difference in
- 1:53:33Speaker 5: the game. And nothing fires me up more as a
- 1:53:36Speaker 5: fan than seeing other fans make a difference. I bought
- 1:53:39Speaker 5: my ticket to the Old Miss game. During the LSU game,
- 1:53:43Speaker 5: I'm like, I have to be there for our next war. Yeah,
- 1:53:46Speaker 5: because I promise you if I'm there that's not happening.
- 1:53:49Speaker 3: I will go on the field I had I would have.
- 1:53:52Speaker 5: Maybe we'll get into all this stuff later. But shout
- 1:53:55Speaker 5: out to the fans in Columbia, South Carolina.
- 1:53:57Speaker 3: Y'all showed up. Keep showing up in my game. Cocks Chandler. Bro, Hey, Jack,
- 1:54:03Speaker 3: I hate to cut you off. We got to get
- 1:54:04Speaker 3: boy rolling. I gotta get rolling. No, no, we'll get it.
- 1:54:07Speaker 3: We'll get you one when we do the intro, when
- 1:54:09Speaker 3: we do the intro. But Bro, thank you for coming on,
- 1:54:11Speaker 3: Thank you for talking about everything. Good luck in your camp. Boys.
- 1:54:15Speaker 3: We're going to camp dude.
- 1:54:16Speaker 6: Back to war, back to war today, back in the foxhole,
- 1:54:19Speaker 6: back in the fox hole.
- 1:54:21Speaker 3: And I can tell, like, you know, Mike's a good
- 1:54:23Speaker 3: friend of mine. Clearly he doesn't feel the same about
- 1:54:25Speaker 3: me because he's leaving before my birthday. He's going to
- 1:54:28Speaker 3: be gone, and his fight is on November seventeenth, like
- 1:54:31Speaker 3: our second one is due in mid November, so he
- 1:54:35Speaker 3: clearly doesn't think about being able to get to the fight.
- 1:54:39Speaker 6: I didn't plan my entire career around here. You're right,
- 1:54:42Speaker 6: you're right, But I am here on the bus for
- 1:54:44Speaker 6: your birthday week, so I mean that's right.
- 1:54:45Speaker 3: That does mean something. I appreciate you, man, because they did.
- 1:54:48Speaker 3: I know it leaked over the weekend. We kind of
- 1:54:50Speaker 3: texted about and talked about it. And you're on the bus.
- 1:54:52Speaker 3: You're a literally always you always come on when something
- 1:54:54Speaker 3: pops off with you. I appreciate it.
- 1:54:55Speaker 6: And Monday after the fight, November eighteenth, I'll be here
- 1:54:58Speaker 6: on the bus, win loser, no matter what.
- 1:55:00Speaker 3: I'm here on the bus. So let's do it. I
