Welcome to Nate's daily wager. I ain't picking winners, but I
• 0:10
am making wagers. Time to put my money where my
• 0:13
mouth is. This is Nate's daily wager for
• 0:27
  July 4th. 4th of July 2024, America's birthday.
• 0:34
Hope you celebrate by going out there and blowing a little piece
• 0:38
of her up. All right, so we all know 4th of
• 0:42
July means basically the greatest sporting event of the
• 0:47
year. We got the Nathan's Hot Dog
• 0:51
eating contest. Coney Island, normally in the
• 0:57
past decade and change this has just been a runaway with the two
• 1:01
dominant players, Kobayashi and Joey Chestnut.
• 1:06
But today they ain't showing up. Apparently they're going to have
• 1:10
a little square off a little later, but today it's an open
• 1:14
field, man. This is going to be great.
• 1:17
On the women's side, it's pretty easy.
• 1:18
You know, you just take Miki, Pseudo, pseudo and you know,
• 1:24
pocket the money. You got to lay some points, but
• 1:26
that's easy on the men's side. Like I said, it's wide open.
• 1:31
We got Esper, he's pretty much the favorite.
• 1:34
He's sitting around -131 fifty. And it's easy to go with him.
• 1:42
But I think, I think he's going to get pushed.
• 1:45
And I think the guy that's going to push him is James.
• 1:49
No relation to the telescope web.
• 1:52
And he's right now you can get him about plus 150.
• 1:57
And look, these guys, if you look at their totals, they're
• 2:00
both of their totals are sitting at 49 1/2.
• 2:05
So I mean, right there, the totals are telling you that
• 2:07
these guys are neck and neck. And I mean, I've also seen that
• 2:11
you can, you can grab web with, you know, plus 3 1/2 hot dogs.
• 2:15
So I mean, I think for my money that's easy.
• 2:18
But I like him straight up on the on the money line.
• 2:22
You know, if you want to take the dog line, take the dog line,
• 2:24
take the 3 1/2 dogs. But me today officially, I'm
• 2:28
going to take him on the money line.
• 2:30
So we're going to go James Webb at plus 1:50 to take it all in
• 2:37
the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating contest.
• 2:40
See anything better than that? Found it.
• 2:42
That's my pick and I'm sticking to it.
