• 2:20
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.

  SPEAKER_04: It's all good.
• 2:32
  SPEAKER_04: It's all good.

  SPEAKER_04: A lot of notes.
• 2:34
  SPEAKER_04: All right.
• 2:35
SPEAKER_04: Uh coming up on this, are we still live?
• 2:37
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, okay.
• 2:38
  SPEAKER_04: Okay.
• 2:39
SPEAKER_04: Uh coming up on this week's show, we're just gonna jump right into it.
• 2:42
SPEAKER_04: Uh, first of all, we'll we'll have our bonfire kind of discussion, like hanging out at the bar in the fire, the bar or whatever.
• 2:49
SPEAKER_04: Having a couple drinks with your friends and just gonna tell some stories.
• 2:53
SPEAKER_04: Uh, we've got one of those coming up.
• 2:55
SPEAKER_04: Um, we're going to, I, you know, as I was updating the webpage, I forgot how much I enjoyed the history.
• 3:01
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 3:02
SPEAKER_04: So we're, I think we're gonna start doing history again.
• 3:05
  SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
• 3:05
SPEAKER_04: Just not no French Indian Wars.
• 3:07
SPEAKER_04: No French, it's gonna be fun shit.
• 3:09
SPEAKER_02: This week see how stupid Gibler is.
• 3:12
SPEAKER_04: No, Jeremy will be here too.
• 3:15
SPEAKER_04: Um this week is kind of interesting.
• 3:18
SPEAKER_04: AJ and I were watching this video on Netflix.
• 3:22
SPEAKER_04: I think Netflix has become the new 48 hours.
• 3:24
SPEAKER_04: I used to love it.
• 3:25
SPEAKER_04: Oh, I do believe that, yeah.
• 3:26
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah, really good.
• 3:27
SPEAKER_04: And there's a uh documentary on there right now.
• 3:30
SPEAKER_04: It's called uh Maternal Instinct.
• 3:33
SPEAKER_02: I've heard about it, but I have not watched it.
• 3:35
SPEAKER_04: Oh, no spoilers, but it is good one.
• 3:37
  SPEAKER_04: Oh my god, man.
• 3:38
SPEAKER_04: People are just you know, you watch it and there's this there's a point in your life where you realize that there are people out there that are just crazy.
• 3:46
  SPEAKER_04: Right.
• 3:46
  SPEAKER_04: They're just crazy.
• 3:47
  SPEAKER_04: Absolutely, right?
• 3:48
SPEAKER_04: Absolutely, and it's not for fault of their own, it's just how they were born.
• 3:53
SPEAKER_04: Their brain just is not manufactured at the same, you know.
• 3:57
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, sometimes you buy something and it's it's not factory, you know, factory set on it.
• 4:01
SPEAKER_05: Not the sharpest crown in the yeah, you know what I'm saying?
• 4:03
  SPEAKER_04: Marble box.
• 4:04
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
• 4:04
SPEAKER_04: Well, this lady's weed, she's out there.
• 4:06
SPEAKER_04: Oh okay, she's out there, and uh, but anyway, it kind of spurred me into wanting to do the history this week.
• 4:13
SPEAKER_04: And it's it kind of you I know what you know the history is, and you're like, what the fuck is he talking about?
• 4:19
SPEAKER_04: This way, we are this lady, not no spoilers, but uh she's gonna she's on death row.
• 4:25
  unknown: Yeah.
• 4:26
SPEAKER_02: And um I'm guessing she didn't really have that good of a maternal instinct.
• 4:31
SPEAKER_04: No, well, no, actually see, it's way deeper than that.
• 4:35
  SPEAKER_04: You gotta watch it.
• 4:36
  SPEAKER_04: It's actually pretty interesting.
• 4:38
SPEAKER_04: Uh, but anyway, it made me think about the people that actually have to kill people at death row.
• 4:44
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that does for a living.
• 4:46
SPEAKER_03: Yes, it's gotta be totally.
• 4:48
SPEAKER_04: Somebody has to turn the volts on, or somebody has to inject the met I think the machine does that.
• 4:53
SPEAKER_04: They just somebody's gotta tell the machine to do it, though.
• 4:56
  SPEAKER_04: I mean, that's like it's still the deal.
• 4:58
SPEAKER_04: It's still the deal, right?
• 4:59
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and we've talked about uh Richmond had an infamous moment here when it comes to public executions.
• 5:06
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so uh tonight we're gonna talk about hangmen in the history, and the people that in even in England, you can go back.
• 5:13
SPEAKER_04: Uh people that would travel around, these travel execution that was their job.
• 5:17
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, because nobody else wanted to do it, they couldn't get it.
• 5:20
SPEAKER_05: Who would want to do that job?
• 5:21
  SPEAKER_05: Well, that's the thing.
• 5:22
SPEAKER_05: You know, from studying it and looking at it, people were shunned.
• 5:25
SPEAKER_05: They a lot of people said they were shunned, and then some of you say they were popular, but and then it got passed down.
• 5:31
SPEAKER_05: Well, this one father got can you imagine?
• 5:34
SPEAKER_02: Well, and some of them thought that they were doing the Lord's work.
• 5:37
SPEAKER_04: Well, some of them said they were doing the the law.
• 5:40
SPEAKER_04: I mean, they were acting out anyway.
• 5:42
  SPEAKER_04: We'll talk about that.
• 5:43
  SPEAKER_04: It's coming up.
• 5:43
SPEAKER_04: Look, see, she's already excited.
• 5:45
SPEAKER_04: I am good to go.
• 5:47
SPEAKER_04: Uh, then we've go into our after two beers news.
• 5:50
SPEAKER_04: Uh, only three stories tonight, uh, but I think they're all three pretty solid.
• 5:54
SPEAKER_04: Plus, we got a lot of stuff up front.
• 5:55
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 5:56
SPEAKER_04: The uh the first story is the lady that was trying to a 21-year-old in Brazil that wanted to go bungee jumping.
• 6:03
  SPEAKER_06: Oh.
• 6:04
SPEAKER_04: And uh, I'm sure Kevin can pull the video up for that later.
• 6:07
SPEAKER_04: I forgot to hook her up.
• 6:08
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's well, I mean, when you buy cheap, right?
• 6:13
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, there are certain things you shouldn't buy on Groupons.
• 6:16
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, time and time.
• 6:17
  SPEAKER_05: I'm double checking everything.
• 6:19
SPEAKER_04: And uh, so we'll talk about that.
• 6:21
SPEAKER_04: And then we have it's funny because these two stories are gonna be polar opposites of each other.
• 6:27
SPEAKER_04: The first one is about how America is America, and their uh last Sunday, I believe it was, was um National Lemonade Day.
• 6:36
  SPEAKER_04: Okay.
• 6:36
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 6:37
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 6:37
SPEAKER_04: And I've got a story about a 12-year-old in Detroit that was selling lemonade.
• 6:41
  SPEAKER_01: Oh shit.
• 6:42
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 6:42
SPEAKER_04: It's it's sad that you both know already.
• 6:47
  SPEAKER_04: I'm guessing.
• 6:48
SPEAKER_05: Anybody say uh lemonade stand in Detroit.
• 6:51
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
• 6:52
SPEAKER_04: You must have got rich.
• 6:53
SPEAKER_04: Is that why we're talking about it?
• 6:54
SPEAKER_04: And then the third thing we're gonna talk about in the news, it is my new passion, at least for the next few weeks.
• 7:00
SPEAKER_04: It is watching uh Europeans come to the United States.
• 7:03
SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh, I absolutely love it.
• 7:06
  SPEAKER_02: Actually, feel good.
• 7:07
  SPEAKER_02: I love it.
• 7:07
SPEAKER_04: Oh, it is it does.
• 7:08
  SPEAKER_04: It kind of does.
• 7:10
SPEAKER_02: It does because they just expected the worst, and they're like, This news is awesome.
• 7:14
SPEAKER_05: What's even better is the shit treatment they're getting in Canada from everybody.
• 7:18
  SPEAKER_05: Are they really?
• 7:19
SPEAKER_05: Oh, Canada's treating everybody like trash.
• 7:22
  SPEAKER_05: Really?
• 7:22
SPEAKER_02: They're like, oh, come and see us, come and see us, and they're like, nah, we're good.
• 7:26
  SPEAKER_05: Toronto mainly.
• 7:27
  SPEAKER_05: Really?
• 7:27
SPEAKER_05: Which is pretty much what everybody thought that how we were going to treat everybody is how Canada's treating everybody.
• 7:32
SPEAKER_04: I want to hear about it.
• 7:33
SPEAKER_04: We're gonna bring that up.
• 7:34
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 7:34
  SPEAKER_04: All right.
• 7:35
SPEAKER_04: Well, it has taken 15 minutes, but it is finally time to start this week show.
• 7:40
  SPEAKER_01: Let's do it.
• 7:41
  SPEAKER_04: All right.
• 7:42
SPEAKER_04: Uh the first story I want to talk about.
• 7:43
SPEAKER_04: This is our um bonfire discussion.
• 7:46
SPEAKER_04: It was an interesting week last weekend.
• 7:49
SPEAKER_04: Uh my uh my wife, Amanda, I call her my wife.
• 7:52
SPEAKER_04: We're not legally married, but I actually think it adds kind of a coolness to it that uh we're I guess back in the day we'd be common law by now.
• 8:00
  SPEAKER_04: Right.
• 8:00
  SPEAKER_04: We've been together a long time.
• 8:02
  SPEAKER_02: Minute.
• 8:02
  SPEAKER_04: Right.
• 8:03
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah, a minute.
• 8:04
  SPEAKER_02: Seven?
• 8:04
  SPEAKER_02: Seven?
• 8:05
  SPEAKER_04: Eight.
• 8:05
  SPEAKER_02: Eight.
• 8:06
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 8:07
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah, working towards nine.
• 8:08
  SPEAKER_02: Good lord.
• 8:09
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 8:10
  SPEAKER_04: Right?
• 8:10
SPEAKER_02: She's put up with you for this long.
• 8:12
  SPEAKER_04: No shit.
• 8:12
  SPEAKER_04: That's a hell of a run.
• 8:14
SPEAKER_04: That is a hell of a run.
• 8:15
  SPEAKER_04: I think it's my right now, it's it's a new Chris Dalton record.
• 8:18
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, damn.
• 8:20
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 8:20
SPEAKER_04: Don't but anyway, uh good knowing you, Manda.
• 8:25
SPEAKER_04: Back in a previous life, AJ in Indianapolis was a uh Oh, was she from Indianapolis?
• 8:30
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, she's talking about it a lot.
• 8:32
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, not so much anymore.
• 8:33
SPEAKER_04: It took her a while, but uh, she was a big supporter of the uh LGBT LGBTQ plus community.
• 8:41
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and uh my daughter is uh another individual that is a big supporter of that community, and uh they talked me into going last weekend to become a um a pride parade marcher.
• 8:57
  SPEAKER_06: Okay, okay.
• 8:58
SPEAKER_04: So my brother-in-law has a company, he works for PNC there, and they uh they walk in the Pride Parade.
• 9:04
SPEAKER_04: And I'm yeah, and uh take that down for a second, Kevin.
• 9:08
SPEAKER_04: That's that'll come up at the end.
• 9:11
SPEAKER_04: This is classic comedy to me.
• 9:13
SPEAKER_04: So, anyway, um, you know, the thing about being a dad is it's not just about the things that you believe in, but it's also what your children believe in and what your spouse believes in.
• 9:26
SPEAKER_04: And and they're both big supporters.
• 9:28
SPEAKER_04: And my ex-brother-in-law was going and my niece, and I was like, you know what, I'll go with you guys.
• 9:33
SPEAKER_04: And when I got over there, I was blown away by how it was the most exciting parade I've ever.
• 9:40
SPEAKER_04: And now, I well, I've been to Mardi Gras in uh New Orleans, but I mean, everyone was so excited early.
• 9:47
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, drinking Bloody Marys, and everybody was just having a good old time.
• 9:51
SPEAKER_04: I almost said gay old time.
• 9:53
SPEAKER_04: I understand now why they're called gay because gay came from being happy.
• 9:57
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, this is the happiest group of people I've ever been around in my whole life, right?
• 10:01
SPEAKER_04: The other cool part uh that I thought was really cool was there was a lot of professions there that um you wouldn't normally think of as being pro-LGBTQ.
• 10:11
SPEAKER_04: Okay, like uh the electrical union was there, the um, I think the the wood, uh the carpenters were there.
• 10:19
SPEAKER_04: Nice, but then all the sports teams, it was just it was kind of a neat thing.
• 10:23
SPEAKER_04: And I had never been, and me being the supporter, I said, I want to sit up here at the front and I want to watch a little of this before the parade actually starts, right?
• 10:34
SPEAKER_04: And so I'm watching it, and I'm gonna tell you right now, some of the stereotypes that gay men have are 100% true.
• 10:40
SPEAKER_04: These were some of the fittest, they look like professional wrestlers, right?
• 10:44
SPEAKER_04: But they're so happy and dressed well and everything, and they're having a good old time, and people are throwing shit into the there's little kids, there were so many little kids there, right?
• 10:54
SPEAKER_04: Right, and I'm just enjoying it.
• 10:56
SPEAKER_04: And so our moment comes up for us to be in the parade.
• 11:00
SPEAKER_04: It was like uh three streets were feeding into Mass Avenue, and we would walk down Mass Ave, right?
• 11:05
SPEAKER_04: Yep, we walked down Mass Ave, right?
• 11:07
  SPEAKER_04: Yep.
• 11:08
SPEAKER_04: So um when our street came up, I got in the parade, and now I'm officially in an Indianapolis Pride Parade, right?
• 11:16
SPEAKER_04: I'm doing this for my daughter, and I'm doing it for my spouse, and I am out there doing it for everybody else, you know.
• 11:22
SPEAKER_04: And uh, so we're walking along, and P and C had like this lady that had a wagon, and the wagon had swag in it, like tchotchke stuff, you know, like you would get a train out.
• 11:33
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, there was pride flags, and there was ducks, and there was little bracelets, and we're having a good old time, and we're about four or five blocks into it.
• 11:41
SPEAKER_04: Now, I don't know if you guys know this, but I'm short of stature.
• 11:44
  SPEAKER_06: What?
• 11:45
  SPEAKER_06: Yes, you are?
• 11:46
SPEAKER_04: I'm a little short, so I'm not a guy that walks the fastest idiots.
• 11:50
SPEAKER_04: Got tiny legs, and so at a certain point, I turn around because I've run out of Tchotskis to throw into this crowd of just some of the happiest people I've ever been around.
• 12:00
  SPEAKER_04: Right?
• 12:00
  SPEAKER_04: Just happy, right?
• 12:01
SPEAKER_04: So I turn around and I go and I I go back to the lady with the wagon and I offered up to pull it, even though I didn't know if that was like a man's planning.
• 12:10
SPEAKER_04: I kind of felt weird about it.
• 12:12
  SPEAKER_04: I'm not gonna lie.
• 12:13
SPEAKER_04: Felt a little weird about it.
• 12:15
SPEAKER_04: But uh, she's like, No, I got it.
• 12:16
SPEAKER_04: And I'm like, all right.
• 12:17
SPEAKER_04: And so then I turn around.
• 12:20
SPEAKER_04: And the group now that I was with is about a block in front of me.
• 12:26
  SPEAKER_04: Okay.
• 12:26
SPEAKER_04: I mentioned there was Bloody Mary's and there might have been a pen involved.
• 12:29
SPEAKER_04: Might have been a yeah, okay.
• 12:31
SPEAKER_04: And so that's I want Jeremy pull that or uh Kevin, pull that picture up now.
• 12:35
SPEAKER_04: I took this picture because I'm like, no one is gonna believe this unless I I show this to them.
• 12:41
  SPEAKER_04: Okay.
• 12:42
SPEAKER_04: Now, this is the Indian, which was a huge parade.
• 12:45
SPEAKER_04: There was tons of people there.
• 12:47
SPEAKER_04: I took this with my phone.
• 12:49
SPEAKER_04: So me and this lady with the wagon for about You guys are like a block behind.
• 12:53
SPEAKER_04: We are the grand marshals of the Indianapolis Pride Parade at this point.
• 13:00
  SPEAKER_04: Look at it.
• 13:01
SPEAKER_04: It's just the two, and I got ahead of her because she's pulling the wagon, right?
• 13:05
SPEAKER_04: And I'm walking down probably three blocks.
• 13:08
SPEAKER_04: I would have loved to have seen that.
• 13:09
SPEAKER_04: Oh, it was just me.
• 13:11
  SPEAKER_04: Okay.
• 13:12
SPEAKER_04: And what was wild is everyone was so nice, everybody was cheering me like I had like I was in the Boston marathon or something.
• 13:20
  SPEAKER_04: Like you were.
• 13:20
SPEAKER_00: You should have gotten the wagon.
• 13:22
SPEAKER_04: Oh, you know, and and I remember I was telling AJ, I'm like, I'm clearly not a gay guy.
• 13:29
SPEAKER_04: It when when you looked at the stereotypes, I told her, I said, I'm built more like a lesbian.
• 13:34
SPEAKER_04: I'm like, I look like somebody's dad that was trying to cross the street to get a soda.
• 13:41
SPEAKER_04: Now I'm stuck because they have gates, it's barricaded, it's barricaded on both sides.
• 13:46
  SPEAKER_04: I can't get out.
• 13:48
SPEAKER_04: There's nothing I can do except walking.
• 13:50
  SPEAKER_04: You're the longest.
• 13:51
SPEAKER_04: You've got to get stuck in it because you can't get out of it.
• 13:53
SPEAKER_04: You just like I never wished in my life that I knew how to break dance more than right then because I'm along.
• 14:00
SPEAKER_04: And this, these people were so nice.
• 14:02
SPEAKER_02: There's Chris doing the work.
• 14:04
SPEAKER_04: Oh, and you know, and again, and it made me realize uh when we got done and uh how cool of an experience it was.
• 14:11
  SPEAKER_04: Literally, that's the pit.
• 14:13
  SPEAKER_04: Look at that.
• 14:13
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that is just me and 50,000 of my new gayest friends, and I loved every minute of it.
• 14:20
  SPEAKER_04: That's awesome.
• 14:21
SPEAKER_04: Just in the middle of mass half.
• 14:22
SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah, just me hanging out.
• 14:24
SPEAKER_04: I told uh I was golfing with my buddy Brad tonight, and I said it made me realize that we need to get some uh LGBTQ Pro After Two Beer shirts.
• 14:34
SPEAKER_04: I'm like, I missed out on a great opportunity for some marketing there.
• 14:37
SPEAKER_04: But you know, stickers, yeah, missed out.
• 14:41
SPEAKER_04: But the thing that that struck me about the whole thing, and and this is how I want to kind of pull it all together, was uh, you know, I went and I'm I'm pretty much when it comes to voting, you know.
• 14:55
SPEAKER_04: But I lean left when it comes to social issues, but I I'm really pretty fiscally Republican on a lot of things, right?
• 15:02
SPEAKER_04: So I kind of dance this balance, but I am very pro, anyone should love anybody they want to love.
• 15:07
  SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
• 15:08
SPEAKER_04: And my daughter wanted to do it, and my wife wanted to do it, and I was gonna be 100% supportive of said event.
• 15:15
SPEAKER_04: And the whole idea of the Ven is these are individuals that they're especially not so much as much today, but I'm sure a lot of them do.
• 15:22
SPEAKER_04: They have to live in, you know, like they're held back, they're afraid.
• 15:26
SPEAKER_02: They're well many moons ago, like it was legal.
• 15:30
SPEAKER_02: Like it was illegal for them to be who they wanted to be.
• 15:34
  SPEAKER_04: Right.
• 15:34
SPEAKER_04: And and I I love the idea of this now that people feel so open that they can be proud of who they are, and that's what this whole festival is about.
• 15:42
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, this whole parade in the festival is about individuals that are not afraid to be who they want to be.
• 15:48
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and that's where it started.
• 15:50
SPEAKER_04: But then I realized at the end of that parade that it's not even just about that.
• 15:56
SPEAKER_04: It was about a guy like me who was just there to support his wife and daughter, and he ends up being the grand marshal of the bride parade.
• 16:07
SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
• 16:08
SPEAKER_04: I don't have any tattoos of like rainbows or anything.
• 16:12
SPEAKER_02: They were like, oh, here comes that after two beers.
• 16:14
SPEAKER_04: Oh my god, I'm just walking down the and people were cheering.
• 16:17
SPEAKER_04: I at one point I was like, this is must be what it's like to be a celebrity, right?
• 16:21
SPEAKER_04: You know, like, and I'm like, I'm like, and I'm like I said, there were bloody Marys and uh and pens involved.
• 16:28
SPEAKER_04: And look, that's what it was.
• 16:29
SPEAKER_04: It's just me just waving, just having a gay old time.
• 16:34
  SPEAKER_04: That's awesome, though.
• 16:35
SPEAKER_04: Well, at least I'm glad you had fun.
• 16:36
  SPEAKER_05: That's awesome.
• 16:37
SPEAKER_04: Oh, it was you know what's in a lifetime.
• 16:39
SPEAKER_04: And and I told Amanda on the way home, I said, you know, I don't know what it's gonna come from this, but at the very least, this has to be one of those um core memories for my dad.
• 16:52
SPEAKER_04: You know, like I mean, I don't know how I can be more supportive than grand marshaling a gay parade in the capital city of Indiana.
• 17:00
  SPEAKER_04: I mean, I I don't know.
• 17:02
  SPEAKER_04: I feel like I I uh I earned some stripes there.
• 17:04
SPEAKER_04: You earned some points there, Dan.
• 17:06
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I think so.
• 17:07
  SPEAKER_04: All right.
• 17:08
SPEAKER_04: So that was my story.
• 17:10
  SPEAKER_02: That's awesome.
• 17:11
  SPEAKER_02: I love it.
• 17:12
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah, uh, you guys.
• 17:14
SPEAKER_02: I actually was I I almost would have rather been doing that than when I was doing what were you doing?
• 17:18
  SPEAKER_02: I was golfing.
• 17:19
SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah, I was gonna go.
• 17:21
SPEAKER_02: But it was a long day, it was a long week of golfing, so like I played pretty crazy.
• 17:27
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 17:29
SPEAKER_02: It was a bad day Saturday.
• 17:30
  SPEAKER_04: Oh well.
• 17:31
  SPEAKER_04: You know what?
• 17:32
  SPEAKER_02: But you know what?
• 17:33
SPEAKER_04: You know what I've come to love about golf, and now we're playing bingo together.
• 17:38
  SPEAKER_02: That we owned.
• 17:40
SPEAKER_04: Well, I think it's more about taking the time of putting your phone down for four hours.
• 17:46
  SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah.
• 17:47
SPEAKER_04: Or at least in bingo, it's a couple hours, but it's uh it's like unfocused time or you know, uh for the phone.
• 17:54
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
• 17:54
SPEAKER_04: And it's just like letting go and being in the moment.
• 17:57
SPEAKER_04: And I think that's why I have become more of a fan of God.
• 18:00
SPEAKER_04: I can see why people love to fish or hunt.
• 18:02
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 18:03
SPEAKER_04: I mean, you think about you're just sitting in the woods for, you know, I just can't do it because you got to get up early.
• 18:08
  SPEAKER_04: I'm not a fan.
• 18:10
  SPEAKER_04: I think it's cold.
• 18:11
SPEAKER_04: And I hate being cold, man.
• 18:13
SPEAKER_04: Oh, I you know, they could tell me right now I could live to be 125 if I did cold plunge every day.
• 18:19
SPEAKER_04: And I'll be like, man, I feel bad when you guys have to bury me in 20 to 30.
• 18:23
  SPEAKER_04: I hope 20 to 30.
• 18:25
  SPEAKER_04: 20 to 30, yeah.
• 18:27
  SPEAKER_05: No, no, thanks.
• 18:28
SPEAKER_04: Uh so anyway, all right, let's move into After Two Beers History.
• 18:33
SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna need your help on this one.
• 18:34
  SPEAKER_04: Okay.
• 18:34
  SPEAKER_05: Uh oh.
• 18:35
  SPEAKER_05: What do you got?
• 18:35
SPEAKER_04: Well, I mean, you're just gonna have to help add to the uh the ambiance of the situation here.
• 18:41
SPEAKER_04: Um, you know, we were talking about um uh earlier about the show uh that uh AJ and I were watching on Netflix and it involved this lady going on to death row.
• 18:54
SPEAKER_04: And I got to thinking, I'm like, it's gotta be a weird job to be an executioner.
• 19:00
  SPEAKER_04: Right.
• 19:01
SPEAKER_04: And there are people that like that was their profession all throughout the medieval times.
• 19:06
SPEAKER_04: And yeah, and uh do you know?
• 19:08
  SPEAKER_04: I didn't know this.
• 19:09
  SPEAKER_02: Did you know?
• 19:10
  SPEAKER_04: Did you know?
• 19:11
SPEAKER_04: Uh the last public execution in the United States was like in the 1930s.
• 19:17
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 19:19
  SPEAKER_02: Is that here?
• 19:19
SPEAKER_02: Like, was it in Texas?
• 19:20
SPEAKER_04: I think it was in Kentucky.
• 19:22
  SPEAKER_02: Really?
• 19:23
  SPEAKER_04: It was a hanging.
• 19:24
  SPEAKER_04: I think 20,000 people showed up.
• 19:26
  SPEAKER_04: Oh wow.
• 19:27
  SPEAKER_04: And then the 1930s.
• 19:29
SPEAKER_05: Well, I told you that one stat, the last uh guillotine guillotine in France was in 1977.
• 19:38
SPEAKER_02: That was a year before we were born.
• 19:40
SPEAKER_05: It was finally outlawed in 81.
• 19:44
SPEAKER_02: Well, we were still like a little bit of a lot of people.
• 19:47
  SPEAKER_05: So September.
• 19:48
SPEAKER_05: It happened in September of 77.
• 19:50
SPEAKER_05: So that's the year before I was born in a little league.
• 19:53
SPEAKER_05: I was born a couple months later.
• 19:54
  SPEAKER_04: That's wild.
• 19:55
SPEAKER_04: As I was looking through it, I uh I wanted to understand.
• 20:00
SPEAKER_04: It's just wild to me how people got so excited for these executions.
• 20:05
SPEAKER_04: Now we talked about it with Richmond on a previous podcast, and uh, we'll have to look that up.
• 20:10
SPEAKER_04: If you go to our webpage, the history section has been completely updated, and we're creating some little posters and stuff, and maybe we can do some stickers or magnets or something, trading cards or something.
• 20:20
SPEAKER_04: Those would be kind of cool, yeah.
• 20:22
  unknown: Yeah.
• 20:22
SPEAKER_04: Uh but anyway, check those out.
• 20:24
SPEAKER_04: But there was a story where Richmond, Indiana basically ruined public executions for the entire state of Indiana.
• 20:30
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
• 20:30
SPEAKER_04: And uh because it went wrong.
• 20:32
SPEAKER_04: And as I was researching this, it happened a lot.
• 20:36
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 20:37
SPEAKER_04: That people screwed this stuff up.
• 20:38
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, very much so.
• 20:40
SPEAKER_04: But uh, let's talk about first of all, it's basically like a fair in Wayne County now.
• 20:46
SPEAKER_04: Like when I say this, like they were talking about businesses would close down, yeah, and people would travel in, families attended, they would have picnics at the hanging.
• 20:56
  SPEAKER_04: There's a little Scarpetty.
• 20:58
  SPEAKER_04: There he is.
• 20:58
SPEAKER_02: Hey, you want to fill in for a second?
• 21:00
SPEAKER_04: You got a pee already?
• 21:02
  unknown: We already know it.
• 21:03
  SPEAKER_04: Uh we'll take a second.
• 21:04
SPEAKER_04: We'll pause for the cause here.
• 21:06
SPEAKER_04: Actually, I'm kind of excited about this.
• 21:07
SPEAKER_05: Oh, what do you got there?
• 21:08
  SPEAKER_05: Little raptor?
• 21:09
  SPEAKER_05: The predator.
• 21:10
  SPEAKER_04: The predator.
• 21:12
  SPEAKER_05: Huh?
• 21:13
  SPEAKER_04: Nice 250th anniversary firecracker.
• 21:19
SPEAKER_04: This is the most American table ever.
• 21:22
SPEAKER_04: I told Jeremy earlier, I'm like, if you're bringing fireworks, we're gonna have fireworks and alcohol on this table.
• 21:27
SPEAKER_04: The only thing that we need now is a handgun and a bowl of biscuits and gravy.
• 21:35
unknown: This has got the 250.
• 21:37
SPEAKER_04: So uh these are all things that you can buy from Jeremy.
• 21:40
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 21:40
SPEAKER_04: Um, Jeremy's got a webpage that we're working on as well.
• 21:43
  SPEAKER_04: Uh, Indiana Fireworks Shows.com.
• 21:48
SPEAKER_04: And uh you've got uh all of his contact information right there on that page, and you can order this kind of stuff.
• 21:55
  SPEAKER_00: Yep.
• 21:56
SPEAKER_04: And what's cool is I told Jeremy, I'm like, the one cool thing about being A dad is you're expected to show this kind of shit to your kids.
• 22:04
SPEAKER_04: And so when my kids were little, we used to do little fireworks shows out in front of the house all the time.
• 22:11
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 22:11
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 22:11
SPEAKER_04: And so I told Jeremy, I said, you know what would be cool is if somebody could call you up and say, Hey, me and another uh family, like we're getting together with our kids, we want to do a nice show, we're gonna throw in like$250 a piece.
• 22:24
SPEAKER_04: Can you put together a$500 box of like cool stuff?
• 22:28
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
• 22:28
SPEAKER_04: Not like that box you get at Meyer, and maybe that's cool stuff too.
• 22:31
SPEAKER_04: But this is high call caliber, like real shit, right?
• 22:35
  SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
• 22:35
  SPEAKER_00: That's good stuff, baby.
• 22:37
SPEAKER_04: So you can do that.
• 22:38
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 22:38
  SPEAKER_00: We do anything.
• 22:40
SPEAKER_00: I build them, I can make them.
• 22:41
  SPEAKER_00: I get it.
• 22:42
SPEAKER_00: You say you want a$200 package, I'll get you a$200 package and have enough fun to last you for the night, man.
• 22:48
SPEAKER_04: So what is the minimum that someone should reach out to you for?
• 22:51
  SPEAKER_04: $50.
• 22:51
  SPEAKER_04: $50?
• 22:52
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 22:52
  SPEAKER_00: That's awesome.
• 22:53
SPEAKER_00: I'll take care of them, man.
• 22:54
  SPEAKER_00: There you go.
• 22:55
SPEAKER_00: You take care of kids and everything.
• 22:56
SPEAKER_04: Here, Kim, y'all go in the Yeah, because nothing says America, like little kids shooting awesome bottle rock.
• 23:01
SPEAKER_00: I will tell you that's Snakes and Sparklers, baby.
• 23:03
SPEAKER_00: But that's how I got started doing this.
• 23:05
  SPEAKER_00: That's the whole reason.
• 23:06
SPEAKER_00: Like when I was a kid, uh, 4th of July was it.
• 23:09
  SPEAKER_00: Well, that's bad.
• 23:10
  SPEAKER_00: I begged my dad.
• 23:11
SPEAKER_05: Fourth of July is my grandmother's birthday.
• 23:13
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 23:13
SPEAKER_05: So all my uncles would go to Kentucky by the illegal shit and then come back up here, and they'd open up the trunk, and it was just like heaven.
• 23:21
SPEAKER_04: When does the World Cup end?
• 23:23
  SPEAKER_04: July 19th?
• 23:25
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, that's freaking awesome.
• 23:26
SPEAKER_04: All these Europeans are gonna be around during our fleet.
• 23:28
SPEAKER_05: When did you see the soccer match, the match that might happen on July 4th?
• 23:32
  SPEAKER_05: The U.S.
• 23:33
  SPEAKER_05: against England.
• 23:34
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, really?
• 23:35
  SPEAKER_05: On July 4th.
• 23:35
  SPEAKER_05: Oh my gosh.
• 23:36
  SPEAKER_05: In Philadelphia.
• 23:37
  SPEAKER_05: Oh my god.
• 23:39
  SPEAKER_04: Talk about a party.
• 23:41
SPEAKER_04: We're gonna talk about that.
• 23:43
  SPEAKER_04: Uh all right.
• 23:44
SPEAKER_04: Let's get back to execution.
• 23:46
  SPEAKER_04: Execution us.
• 23:47
SPEAKER_04: Uh so basically these things were a big deal.
• 23:50
SPEAKER_04: Uh the last one in Richmond still drew thousands of people, which is wild to me.
• 23:55
SPEAKER_04: And so some of our family members, like great-grandparents and great aunts and uncles, they had to have been there.
• 24:02
  SPEAKER_04: Right.
• 24:02
  SPEAKER_04: Right?
• 24:03
SPEAKER_04: My question to you if given the option to witness a live execution, would you watch it?
• 24:12
SPEAKER_05: I mean, honestly, after all the shit I've seen on online now, I mean, yeah, probably.
• 24:16
  SPEAKER_04: Would you?
• 24:16
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 24:17
SPEAKER_04: Would you make a day of it?
• 24:19
SPEAKER_04: Like if we're gonna have a picture of the page.
• 24:20
SPEAKER_04: Hold on, I need to figure out PTO for this.
• 24:23
  SPEAKER_06: Right?
• 24:24
SPEAKER_04: Well, surely they'd schedule it on a weekend.
• 24:26
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, well, I don't know.
• 24:27
SPEAKER_05: If it's like at Wednesday at one, probably.
• 24:29
SPEAKER_04: Would you watch it on TV?
• 24:31
  SPEAKER_05: No, that's boring.
• 24:32
  SPEAKER_05: I wouldn't do that.
• 24:33
SPEAKER_05: I'd probably go watch it.
• 24:34
  SPEAKER_04: Really?
• 24:34
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 24:35
  SPEAKER_02: We already did.
• 24:36
SPEAKER_02: Remember in the 80s when we watched uh that was an accident.
• 24:40
  SPEAKER_02: That was an accident.
• 24:41
SPEAKER_04: You're telling me that if they executed someone on live television, that it would be boring for you.
• 24:48
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 24:49
  SPEAKER_04: Man, that's fucked up.
• 24:50
SPEAKER_05: I mean, how look at us.
• 24:51
SPEAKER_05: We grew up with the internet and all this shit.
• 24:53
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we grew up with faces of death.
• 24:54
  SPEAKER_05: I've been watching bones.
• 24:56
  SPEAKER_04: All them, yeah.
• 24:57
SPEAKER_04: Well, I watched a lady get thrown off a bridge earlier this week.
• 25:00
  SPEAKER_04: What?
• 25:00
SPEAKER_04: You did that the you haven't heard that story yet?
• 25:03
  SPEAKER_02: No.
• 25:04
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
• 25:04
SPEAKER_04: That's our first news story.
• 25:06
  SPEAKER_02: Like live?
• 25:07
  SPEAKER_04: It's a big deal.
• 25:08
  SPEAKER_02: Or on the internet.
• 25:10
SPEAKER_04: No, I I thought it was AI.
• 25:11
SPEAKER_04: She was supposed to bungee jump.
• 25:12
  SPEAKER_04: It's a big deal.
• 25:13
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we'll talk about it.
• 25:14
SPEAKER_04: They didn't look her up.
• 25:15
SPEAKER_00: Speaking of people that are gonna get killed.
• 25:16
  SPEAKER_00: She jumped.
• 25:17
SPEAKER_00: Well, hey, did are you gonna tell that in a story?
• 25:19
  SPEAKER_00: Why?
• 25:19
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 25:20
  SPEAKER_00: We'll get there.
• 25:20
  SPEAKER_00: We'll get there.
• 25:21
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 25:22
SPEAKER_04: Uh my qu so, Rich, how many people do you think would show up?
• 25:26
  SPEAKER_04: Jeremy, would you go?
• 25:27
  SPEAKER_04: To what?
• 25:28
SPEAKER_04: To watch a uh public execution.
• 25:30
  SPEAKER_04: Depends who it is.
• 25:31
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 25:33
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 25:35
  SPEAKER_04: Wow.
• 25:35
SPEAKER_04: Well, there's at least if I can kill them with fireworks, then I'll fight you.
• 25:42
  SPEAKER_00: Do I know them?
• 25:42
SPEAKER_00: I think that if you set the stage for what they did and maybe like hate them even more, like if they were child molesters or pedophiles or something really, really bad.
• 25:55
SPEAKER_05: Well, back then, I mean, they just went for the fun of it.
• 25:57
SPEAKER_05: Everybody would get drunk and throw stuff at them.
• 26:00
SPEAKER_05: Well, they didn't have anything else to do back then.
• 26:02
  SPEAKER_05: No, so that's what I think.
• 26:03
SPEAKER_02: Well, and they thought that it was just uh an act of redemption.
• 26:07
SPEAKER_04: No, these people didn't think that.
• 26:08
SPEAKER_04: They just like watching people die.
• 26:10
SPEAKER_05: This is all for this is not it wasn't redemption.
• 26:13
SPEAKER_05: This is people that said, hey, the king sucks.
• 26:17
  SPEAKER_04: Off with his head.
• 26:18
  SPEAKER_05: He said it.
• 26:18
  SPEAKER_05: Off with his head.
• 26:20
SPEAKER_04: And we'll talk about um Putin and I will go through some of the different ways that people have been executed.
• 26:25
SPEAKER_05: At one point, they weren't executed.
• 26:27
SPEAKER_05: They didn't have enough nooses, so they built a triple one that had three arms that came off of it, so you could hang eight people at one time.
• 26:36
SPEAKER_01: You know, for official mass casualty.
• 26:42
SPEAKER_04: I wonder how many people would show.
• 26:44
SPEAKER_00: If you had one in I would probably show just because I'd like to see what happens.
• 26:48
  SPEAKER_00: I'd bring a food truck.
• 26:49
SPEAKER_00: Oh if I'd like it or not.
• 26:51
  SPEAKER_00: He said I'd bring a truck.
• 26:52
  SPEAKER_00: I'd bring a food truck.
• 26:53
SPEAKER_02: They do eat a pony dog.
• 26:56
SPEAKER_04: That's why I said it was like a fair.
• 26:58
SPEAKER_04: Because they would throw fruit.
• 26:59
SPEAKER_04: So the the the most prominent one has been public hangings.
• 27:04
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 27:04
SPEAKER_04: Of all the different execution top ways that uh hangings were a big deal.
• 27:09
  SPEAKER_02: Uh hanging, maybe.
• 27:10
SPEAKER_02: I don't know if I could watch a guillotine and like be able to it's over in seconds.
• 27:15
SPEAKER_04: I mean head in the back.
• 27:17
SPEAKER_04: Here's the problem with the hanging.
• 27:18
SPEAKER_04: You say this, some people survive.
• 27:21
  SPEAKER_04: Well, there's somehow they're gonna switch.
• 27:24
SPEAKER_04: So the biggest thing on that, they said, is uh is the length of the rope.
• 27:29
  unknown: Yeah.
• 27:29
SPEAKER_04: So when the person falls, ideally, if the rope is long enough, it'll snap their spine immediately and they're done.
• 27:37
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah, right?
• 27:38
SPEAKER_04: If not, if it's too long, which happened on occasion, yeah, it would decapitate the person.
• 27:44
  SPEAKER_04: Yep.
• 27:45
SPEAKER_04: So you're sitting there watching it, and the body drops and the head pops like a dandelion.
• 27:49
SPEAKER_04: Oh you know, like that.
• 27:51
SPEAKER_04: And if it's not long enough, which is which is what happened in Richmond.
• 27:56
SPEAKER_04: It took them 12 minutes of that dude hanging there before he was dead.
• 28:01
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 28:02
SPEAKER_04: And they said the worst part is every now and then there was one guy that I think he hung 12 people.
• 28:08
SPEAKER_04: This was in England, and he forgot to that's the Richmond, Indiana one right there.
• 28:12
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 28:13
  SPEAKER_04: We talk about this.
• 28:14
SPEAKER_04: We did a whole podcast on this one.
• 28:16
SPEAKER_04: And uh what's wild about it, they said the um he forgot to put the masks on.
• 28:21
SPEAKER_04: And the reason they do the mask, first of all, so you don't see their eyes bulging out and such.
• 28:26
SPEAKER_04: Their eyes come out of their face.
• 28:28
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 28:28
SPEAKER_04: And their tongue swells up and comes out their mouth.
• 28:32
SPEAKER_04: And then they're hanging there and they're alive for a little bit.
• 28:36
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 28:37
SPEAKER_04: Oh my god, it's freaking crazy.
• 28:39
SPEAKER_04: But what's wild to me is like we say like we're evolved human beings, and this this was a hundred years ago.
• 28:46
SPEAKER_04: This isn't that long ago.
• 28:48
SPEAKER_05: No, it's now close enough that they took a picture of it.
• 28:51
  SPEAKER_06: Right.
• 28:52
SPEAKER_00: But now they're doing firing squad, like death by firing squad.
• 28:56
SPEAKER_05: Well, yeah, so the firing squads, too.
• 28:58
SPEAKER_05: You don't know who has the bullet.
• 29:00
SPEAKER_05: Everybody gets Oh, fake ones?
• 29:02
  SPEAKER_05: Yes.
• 29:02
SPEAKER_05: They're however many people are in the line to shoot.
• 29:05
SPEAKER_05: Is that to make them feel better about it?
• 29:07
SPEAKER_05: So nobody knows who actually shot them.
• 29:09
  SPEAKER_05: Okay.
• 29:10
SPEAKER_05: So a lot of them get blanks, and the one person will get a real bullet.
• 29:14
  SPEAKER_02: Okay, so hands down.
• 29:17
SPEAKER_02: Say that you did something jacked up, whatever.
• 29:21
  SPEAKER_04: Okay.
• 29:22
SPEAKER_02: What would be your method?
• 29:23
SPEAKER_04: I have thought about this.
• 29:25
SPEAKER_02: What would be your preferred method?
• 29:27
SPEAKER_02: Do you want the injection?
• 29:28
SPEAKER_02: Do you want just shot?
• 29:29
  SPEAKER_02: Do you want hung?
• 29:30
  SPEAKER_02: Do you want electrocuted?
• 29:34
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, oh my god.
• 29:38
SPEAKER_04: It's probably why he's on death row.
• 29:41
SPEAKER_00: They call him the hammer.
• 29:42
  SPEAKER_00: How would you pick?
• 29:45
SPEAKER_02: I think I'd just you know what ideally I'd be like, just go ahead and shoot me.
• 29:51
SPEAKER_02: But like, what if they being shot?
• 29:53
SPEAKER_02: What if they weren't a good shot?
• 29:54
SPEAKER_00: They're gonna shoot you in the head.
• 29:55
SPEAKER_05: Oh no, all these are marksmen.
• 29:57
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're gonna shoot you in the head.
• 29:58
SPEAKER_02: If it's a marksman, just shoot me.
• 29:59
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, because you're picking shooting.
• 30:01
  SPEAKER_02: I'm picking shooting.
• 30:02
  SPEAKER_04: What would you pick?
• 30:03
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, shooting me.
• 30:04
SPEAKER_04: What if you can't pick shooting?
• 30:07
  SPEAKER_00: Lethal injection.
• 30:08
  SPEAKER_00: I don't want, yeah, I want I don't want hanged.
• 30:10
SPEAKER_00: So just give me a lethal injection.
• 30:12
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 30:13
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 30:14
  SPEAKER_00: Because it's a two.
• 30:15
  SPEAKER_00: Probably electric.
• 30:16
SPEAKER_00: Artillery shell up the bubble.
• 30:20
  SPEAKER_00: Jeremy would.
• 30:21
SPEAKER_04: Uh can you order that?
• 30:24
  SPEAKER_04: The electric chair.
• 30:26
SPEAKER_02: Electric chair, I think, probably.
• 30:27
SPEAKER_04: Well, the electric chair is supposed to like you're not I don't want to be electric.
• 30:32
SPEAKER_04: It's supposed to knock you unconscious immediately.
• 30:34
  SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
• 30:35
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 30:35
SPEAKER_04: But there have been times they've had to hit that switch too much.
• 30:40
  SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
• 30:42
  SPEAKER_04: We talked about that.
• 30:43
  SPEAKER_00: No part of that.
• 30:44
SPEAKER_04: There have been instances where they've shocked somebody and they stayed alive and they took them back to their cell and then shocked them again.
• 30:53
  SPEAKER_04: Like days later.
• 30:55
SPEAKER_04: And had to be had to do it.
• 30:57
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 30:57
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 30:57
SPEAKER_04: So here are some of the uh examples of executions that have taken place in the past.
• 31:03
  SPEAKER_04: Hanging.
• 31:04
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 31:05
  SPEAKER_04: Beheading.
• 31:06
SPEAKER_04: Which um this was popular for like uh English.
• 31:10
  SPEAKER_04: Swords.
• 31:10
  SPEAKER_04: Like what yeah, swords.
• 31:13
SPEAKER_04: Uh it was uh nobility.
• 31:15
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 31:16
SPEAKER_04: To get hanged was like being lesser of a human.
• 31:19
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 31:19
SPEAKER_02: Oh, if somebody could take a sword and just off other hands.
• 31:24
SPEAKER_00: The guillotine and the axe were mainly for nobility.
• 31:27
SPEAKER_00: What if you had to jump off a building or something?
• 31:28
SPEAKER_00: Like you had to walk the plank.
• 31:30
SPEAKER_01: You'd have to push me.
• 31:31
SPEAKER_05: Well, there's some like that.
• 31:32
SPEAKER_05: There's another one I'd have to look.
• 31:33
  SPEAKER_05: It's called keeling, I think.
• 31:35
SPEAKER_05: If you're on a ship, is it where they would tie one line to you, the other one goes under the boat.
• 31:41
  SPEAKER_05: No way.
• 31:42
  SPEAKER_05: And they drown you.
• 31:44
SPEAKER_00: Drowning would be the worst.
• 31:45
  SPEAKER_05: Under the boat.
• 31:45
SPEAKER_05: And so you're like hitting all them barnacles and everything with your body.
• 31:48
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 31:49
SPEAKER_04: I think being burned alive, burned at the stake.
• 31:52
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, that nigga.
• 31:53
  SPEAKER_02: That'd be the worst.
• 31:53
SPEAKER_02: And then they used to remember back in 1800.
• 31:56
  SPEAKER_02: Boiling.
• 31:56
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 31:57
  SPEAKER_02: Boiling.
• 31:57
  SPEAKER_02: Boil you?
• 31:58
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 31:59
SPEAKER_04: There was one that was popular where they had made a uh giant uh like a bull.
• 32:04
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 32:05
SPEAKER_04: And they cooked you inside the bull.
• 32:07
SPEAKER_04: Like they'd put you in this metal bowl.
• 32:09
SPEAKER_05: They no, there's no historical evidence.
• 32:11
  SPEAKER_05: They did it.
• 32:12
SPEAKER_05: It's called the brazen bull.
• 32:13
SPEAKER_05: But and they had acoustics, so when you're screaming in there, it sounds like a bull.
• 32:17
SPEAKER_05: They said there is some.
• 32:21
SPEAKER_04: The guy that invented it, actually, he was the first person that got put in it.
• 32:24
  SPEAKER_04: He might have.
• 32:26
SPEAKER_04: There'd be some good stuff.
• 32:26
SPEAKER_04: The Comanches, I wrote a I read a book, uh, the Comanches.
• 32:29
SPEAKER_04: It was Killers of the Summer Moon, I think.
• 32:32
SPEAKER_04: Uh it's something like that.
• 32:34
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, if you want to look it up.
• 32:35
SPEAKER_04: But uh they used to torture people as they caught them, yeah, so that people wouldn't want to come back.
• 32:41
SPEAKER_04: So one of their was uh they skinned a guy.
• 32:44
SPEAKER_02: Oh god, that would be the worst.
• 32:46
SPEAKER_04: The bottom of his feet.
• 32:47
SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah, just the feet, and then made him walk for miles before they finally killed him on with no skin on the desert.
• 32:55
SPEAKER_04: And no, is this bad?
• 32:57
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, is it bad?
• 32:59
  SPEAKER_04: What happened?
• 33:01
SPEAKER_04: No, is this interesting, or is he played the cricket?
• 33:04
  SPEAKER_04: That was my cricket.
• 33:06
  SPEAKER_02: Somebody said boring?
• 33:08
SPEAKER_04: I thought Shook was like this.
• 33:10
  SPEAKER_04: Move on.
• 33:11
  SPEAKER_02: Move on, move on.
• 33:14
  SPEAKER_04: I'm like, that's my ringtone.
• 33:16
SPEAKER_04: Man, I thought we were at the polo.
• 33:18
SPEAKER_04: Somebody just rang the gong.
• 33:20
  SPEAKER_02: We just got gongs.
• 33:21
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, there are several.
• 33:25
SPEAKER_04: They used to do a deal, the Comanches, where they would take a person, they would cut their arms and legs off, and then while they're still alive, and throw them on a fire just to watch them hop around on the fire.
• 33:38
SPEAKER_04: Like bouncing around on it.
• 33:39
SPEAKER_02: Without arms and legs, how are you hopping?
• 33:41
SPEAKER_04: You roll like you're just burning to death.
• 33:43
  SPEAKER_04: Bouncing.
• 33:44
  SPEAKER_04: Oh my god.
• 33:45
  SPEAKER_04: Anyway.
• 33:45
SPEAKER_04: Uh, firing squad, we mentioned guillotine, which was popular in France.
• 33:50
SPEAKER_04: Uh, the electric chair, the gas chamber, which uh I bet that sucked.
• 33:56
SPEAKER_04: Basically, they said people would hold their breath as long as they can.
• 33:59
SPEAKER_04: And then if it was depending on what they used, um the one, I can't remember what chemical it was, it literally would singe your lungs the moment you inhaled.
• 34:09
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 34:09
SPEAKER_04: And so basically you choked to death on like you know, your lungs bleeding out.
• 34:16
  SPEAKER_02: Just chop monogan off.
• 34:17
SPEAKER_05: Uh, the breaking wheel was one.
• 34:20
SPEAKER_05: I heard, yeah, that was a fun one.
• 34:21
  SPEAKER_05: There's several variations.
• 34:22
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, it was fun.
• 34:23
SPEAKER_05: It's like they'd either tie you to it and then roll you down a hill that wasn't even, so you're just bound well, they'd tie you to you, you'd break your arms and ankles.
• 34:33
SPEAKER_05: And so you're just rolling down this hill.
• 34:35
SPEAKER_04: They had one where they would take your body and put you on this wheel and they'd break your arms and legs, and they would intertwine you in spokes, yeah, and you're still alive.
• 34:44
SPEAKER_04: And then they would leave you on the wheel for people to look at you.
• 34:48
SPEAKER_02: So, what did you do to deserve this?
• 34:51
  SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
• 34:51
SPEAKER_04: You just said the king sucked, or they thought you were a witch.
• 34:54
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
• 34:55
  SPEAKER_02: Well, I was a witch.
• 34:56
  SPEAKER_05: There, yeah.
• 34:57
SPEAKER_04: A lot of horrible dudes.
• 34:59
  SPEAKER_02: There's a lot of people.
• 35:00
SPEAKER_00: There's still there's a lot of people in the world.
• 35:02
SPEAKER_05: Do you have the scavenger's daughter?
• 35:03
  SPEAKER_04: No, what's that one?
• 35:04
SPEAKER_05: The scavenger's daughter, it's this metal rack that they put you in, but it keeps you folded up like this, and so people could just come by and kick you or throw stuff at you.
• 35:15
  SPEAKER_00: That's for adultery.
• 35:16
SPEAKER_05: It just keeps you bounded up.
• 35:17
SPEAKER_05: Well, some people like that.
• 35:20
  SPEAKER_05: Right.
• 35:21
SPEAKER_04: Well, it's because they know they're getting out of it.
• 35:22
SPEAKER_02: Did you say bound up?
• 35:23
  SPEAKER_02: The pair of anguish.
• 35:25
  SPEAKER_04: Yes.
• 35:27
SPEAKER_04: Have you guys heard of this one?
• 35:28
SPEAKER_04: I heard the pair of anguish, which was it was a metal contraption that would go in your mouth or your or your ass.
• 35:35
  SPEAKER_04: Or Vijay.
• 35:36
  SPEAKER_04: Or Vija JJ.
• 35:37
SPEAKER_04: They would put it whatever the hole they wanted.
• 35:39
SPEAKER_04: And then as they turn the screw, it would expand to the point where it would be this reminds me of the movie I saw, Saul.
• 35:47
  SPEAKER_00: Saul.
• 35:48
SPEAKER_00: Maybe they should be like uh on the movies of Saul.
• 35:52
SPEAKER_00: Like if you you could save your life if you do what they say, you know, like you gotta rip your tongue out and you can survive.
• 35:59
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 36:00
SPEAKER_04: Another one that is still practiced today, especially in the Middle East, is stoning.
• 36:04
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 36:05
SPEAKER_04: And I never understood what stoning was.
• 36:07
  SPEAKER_04: I mean, I obviously I assume it's a different kind of stoning.
• 36:11
  SPEAKER_04: That's a different stoning.
• 36:12
SPEAKER_04: That's how you end up leading a parade parade.
• 36:14
SPEAKER_02: That's how you end up getting killed by Willie Nelson.
• 36:17
SPEAKER_04: Uh no, this one have you guys know how the stoning process works?
• 36:21
SPEAKER_04: No, they just throw stones at you, right?
• 36:22
SPEAKER_04: But they bury these people up to their chest.
• 36:27
SPEAKER_04: And they hold rocks about the size of a baseball.
• 36:31
SPEAKER_04: And you just keep getting belted.
• 36:35
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 36:37
SPEAKER_02: And that's why they always that's why that term is used of the don't cast the first stone.
• 36:43
  unknown: Yeah.
• 36:44
  SPEAKER_00: In a glass house.
• 36:45
  SPEAKER_04: Oh well.
• 36:46
SPEAKER_04: And then the last one was uh drawing and quartering.
• 36:50
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 36:51
SPEAKER_04: Where they would just tie you to four different horses and then just let the horses go.
• 36:55
SPEAKER_05: There are several other ones.
• 36:56
SPEAKER_01: Just drag your ass out.
• 36:57
SPEAKER_05: There's other ones I've seen where they uh the rack.
• 37:00
  SPEAKER_05: The rack.
• 37:00
SPEAKER_05: They uh I forget the name of it, I had to look it up, but they bend two trees down and then tie your legs to them and then cut it, just make it split you in half.
• 37:10
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, so the trees would come up.
• 37:11
SPEAKER_05: That was popular in people would gamble on that.
• 37:13
  SPEAKER_05: At least.
• 37:14
SPEAKER_04: Oh left side, left tree looks stronger.
• 37:18
SPEAKER_04: I'm going with the left.
• 37:19
SPEAKER_02: I bet it's like more on the left than on the right.
• 37:22
SPEAKER_05: You know, it's all this people.
• 37:25
SPEAKER_05: We did some crazy shit back then.
• 37:27
SPEAKER_04: Well, it's not even back then.
• 37:29
SPEAKER_04: If you go and and I'm not trying to do that.
• 37:31
SPEAKER_02: But did people lose but but did people learn their lesson?
• 37:34
  SPEAKER_05: No, no, everybody died.
• 37:36
SPEAKER_05: No, because apparently they had to use it a lot because.
• 37:38
SPEAKER_02: No, but like like back in the day when it was like, oh, you stole you had some phalanges stole like cut off of you.
• 37:44
  SPEAKER_05: There's one.
• 37:45
  SPEAKER_02: Did people lose it?
• 37:46
SPEAKER_05: Like that they only did the women.
• 37:49
SPEAKER_05: It's called the breast ripper.
• 37:51
SPEAKER_04: Oh, I don't even want to hear about it.
• 37:53
  SPEAKER_05: Flees.
• 37:54
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 37:56
  SPEAKER_04: You know what?
• 37:57
SPEAKER_04: There's guys you could do that to now, though.
• 37:59
  unknown: Me.
• 38:01
SPEAKER_04: Give them the old breast ripper.
• 38:03
  SPEAKER_04: Sounds like a firework.
• 38:04
SPEAKER_00: Sounds like a titty twister.
• 38:05
SPEAKER_00: Sounds like a breast ripper.
• 38:07
  SPEAKER_04: Titty.
• 38:07
SPEAKER_04: All right, before we move on to the uh let's talk about these individuals.
• 38:12
SPEAKER_04: Uh now, most towns couldn't justify hiring a full-time executioner.
• 38:16
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 38:17
SPEAKER_04: So they would hire people from other towns.
• 38:19
SPEAKER_04: And uh, some of these people, this is what they did.
• 38:22
SPEAKER_04: They literally just traveled from community to community, town to town, county to county.
• 38:27
SPEAKER_02: The Waffle House, the next top.
• 38:29
SPEAKER_04: Can you imagine watching this guy walk into town just like this guy is here to kill?
• 38:33
SPEAKER_04: He knew what he's for.
• 38:34
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 38:35
SPEAKER_04: Now, what was wild, and I got to thinking about this, some of these people were talking about how these executioners were treated like shit.
• 38:41
SPEAKER_04: And they didn't understand it.
• 38:43
SPEAKER_04: Like they uh some examples that were given were if somebody goes off to war and kills, they're looked at as heroes.
• 38:50
SPEAKER_04: But if they come here in Vietnam.
• 38:53
SPEAKER_04: Well, damn, girl, look at you with your political views.
• 38:57
SPEAKER_04: Look at she getting sassy.
• 38:59
  SPEAKER_04: Get her another beer.
• 39:01
SPEAKER_04: Uh what they were saying was, you know, I go do this in the name of the country, and I'm considered a hero.
• 39:08
SPEAKER_04: But I do this in the name of the law, and I'm not.
• 39:11
SPEAKER_04: And I thought about it, and I think it it really goes back to that Cat Williams like little skitty dear or the little uh um what is it called those things?
• 39:23
SPEAKER_04: Uh no, yeah, the little bit.
• 39:25
  SPEAKER_04: The bit.
• 39:26
  SPEAKER_04: Okay.
• 39:26
SPEAKER_04: And it was talking about killing insurgents.
• 39:29
  SPEAKER_02: And I don't know a single insurgent.
• 39:32
  SPEAKER_02: Right.
• 39:32
SPEAKER_04: When you don't know the people, it's not that big of a deal.
• 39:35
SPEAKER_04: This guy's killing people that live in the town.
• 39:38
  SPEAKER_04: Right.
• 39:38
  SPEAKER_04: That's somebody's uncle, that's somebody's brother, that's somebody's son.
• 39:42
SPEAKER_04: And there are people, no matter how bad they do, they can't see the fault in their family a lot of times.
• 39:47
  SPEAKER_04: Right, right.
• 39:48
  SPEAKER_04: Right?
• 39:48
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 39:48
SPEAKER_04: No wonder these people were going to be hated.
• 39:50
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 39:51
SPEAKER_04: Now, what was interesting, they said these people were also hated because they were a lot of them were alcoholics.
• 39:56
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, they had to be because they were half drunk half the time.
• 39:59
  SPEAKER_04: Well, I can't imagine that.
• 40:00
SPEAKER_02: Would you need you would need to be.
• 40:03
SPEAKER_04: Some of these people killed hundreds of individuals.
• 40:07
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 40:07
SPEAKER_05: And sometimes there was one it got to a point where some of these guys were so drunk they had a three-strike rule, basically.
• 40:13
SPEAKER_05: If it took you more than three whacks, you were done.
• 40:15
  SPEAKER_04: They would kill you.
• 40:16
SPEAKER_04: They would put you under the axe.
• 40:18
SPEAKER_04: That was the beheading issue.
• 40:20
SPEAKER_04: There were people that they would just chop and chop and chop, and the head's still on.
• 40:26
  SPEAKER_02: Oh.
• 40:27
SPEAKER_05: So it's an even worse death.
• 40:29
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 40:30
SPEAKER_02: Who's in charge of sharpening my sword?
• 40:33
  SPEAKER_04: You are.
• 40:35
  SPEAKER_04: No, I if I offered you a samurai.
• 40:42
  SPEAKER_04: Let me ask Jeremy.
• 40:42
SPEAKER_04: Jeremy probably would be the one that would be the most.
• 40:45
  SPEAKER_04: Well, I don't know.
• 40:45
  SPEAKER_04: I've listened to Putin's answers.
• 40:47
  SPEAKER_04: Let me ask Pudding.
• 40:48
SPEAKER_04: If I offered you five million dollars a year to b you said my number.
• 40:57
  SPEAKER_02: That's my number.
• 40:58
  SPEAKER_04: Is that mean executioner?
• 40:59
  SPEAKER_04: Did you say million?
• 41:01
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 41:02
  SPEAKER_04: Could you do it?
• 41:06
  SPEAKER_04: Drunk?
• 41:07
SPEAKER_04: What if you were sober?
• 41:10
SPEAKER_04: Could you guys do it?
• 41:11
  SPEAKER_04: I could do it.
• 41:12
  SPEAKER_04: You could do it?
• 41:13
  SPEAKER_04: Just casually.
• 41:14
SPEAKER_04: How many times a year?
• 41:15
SPEAKER_04: Let's say uh six times a year for five million bucks a year.
• 41:19
  SPEAKER_04: Okay.
• 41:20
  SPEAKER_04: Sign me up.
• 41:21
  SPEAKER_04: You would do it?
• 41:22
SPEAKER_00: What if it was a hundred?
• 41:23
  SPEAKER_04: No, I'm serious.
• 41:26
  SPEAKER_04: Ooh, can I wear a mask?
• 41:27
  SPEAKER_04: I'm shocked.
• 41:28
  SPEAKER_04: I'm actually I mean, seriously.
• 41:32
SPEAKER_04: I think Pudding would do it.
• 41:33
SPEAKER_04: I honestly do my kiddie.
• 41:34
  SPEAKER_04: You know I would.
• 41:35
  SPEAKER_04: Oh man.
• 41:37
  SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna watch.
• 41:38
SPEAKER_02: Like, I feel bad if I don't say hi to someone that said hi to me.
• 41:42
SPEAKER_02: So no, we do it.
• 41:43
SPEAKER_05: I should be like, damn, where'd Pudding get all this money at?
• 41:48
  SPEAKER_04: I can't say it.
• 41:49
SPEAKER_04: He works for the courts.
• 41:51
  SPEAKER_04: I'm not saying that.
• 41:52
SPEAKER_04: No, I would you can't say that and then not say it.
• 41:58
  SPEAKER_00: He said White Hood.
• 41:59
  SPEAKER_00: You're already hanging.
• 42:00
  SPEAKER_00: I said, that's not good.
• 42:01
  SPEAKER_00: What?
• 42:02
  SPEAKER_00: Oh man.
• 42:02
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's bad.
• 42:03
  SPEAKER_03: What the hell, Kevin?
• 42:07
  SPEAKER_05: This is my mask.
• 42:09
SPEAKER_01: This is not their kind of podcast.
• 42:11
  SPEAKER_05: No.
• 42:15
  SPEAKER_02: Holly.
• 42:17
  SPEAKER_02: All right.
• 42:18
  SPEAKER_02: Next, next, next topic.
• 42:20
SPEAKER_04: Not everyone's opinions and views necessarily represent the after two beating program.
• 42:26
SPEAKER_04: Please do not sue us.
• 42:27
SPEAKER_04: Hey, I just mentioned I love everybody.
• 42:31
  SPEAKER_04: Good lord.
• 42:34
SPEAKER_04: It took a hard right turn.
• 42:35
  SPEAKER_04: Oh my God.
• 42:36
SPEAKER_04: I don't even know how to react to it.
• 42:38
SPEAKER_04: It's like getting kicked in the junk.
• 42:42
  SPEAKER_02: I don't know what that's like.
• 42:43
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 42:45
SPEAKER_04: You remember a little clam slam?
• 42:47
  SPEAKER_04: Do what?
• 42:47
  SPEAKER_04: Little clam slam?
• 42:50
  SPEAKER_05: What is that?
• 42:51
  SPEAKER_05: Getting kicked in a woman's junk.
• 42:52
SPEAKER_04: Oh, that's the clam slam.
• 42:55
  SPEAKER_04: That's funny.
• 42:56
SPEAKER_04: Boy, this show just fell off the wagon.
• 42:58
SPEAKER_04: Hey, speaking of which, do we have you guys today?
• 43:00
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 43:02
SPEAKER_04: If you get a chance, go back.
• 43:04
SPEAKER_04: Check out episode 104 where we talk about Richmond's capital punishment blunder.
• 43:09
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
• 43:10
SPEAKER_05: Pretty much ruined it for the state of Indiana.
• 43:12
SPEAKER_04: Literally, after it was done, this thing got broadcast all the way out by the New York Times, I believe.
• 43:17
SPEAKER_04: They picked it up and everything.
• 43:19
SPEAKER_04: Just uh, it was people made a big spectacle of killing people.
• 43:24
SPEAKER_04: And you guys seem cool with it.
• 43:25
SPEAKER_04: You're like, fuck, sign me up.
• 43:27
  SPEAKER_02: You said five million.
• 43:29
SPEAKER_04: Would you would you would and I'm not hating on you for that.
• 43:32
  SPEAKER_02: Four times a year.
• 43:34
SPEAKER_00: If they're bad people, then why not?
• 43:35
  SPEAKER_00: Every couple months.
• 43:36
SPEAKER_00: Like if they're not, if they're supposed to be killed, yeah.
• 43:38
SPEAKER_05: Like how do you know if they're on a death row?
• 43:41
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
• 43:44
SPEAKER_02: It's not like I'm taking out innocent people between me or a guard doing it.
• 43:47
SPEAKER_05: Well, how do you know they're all guilty?
• 43:49
  SPEAKER_05: Well, that's a hard thing.
• 43:51
SPEAKER_05: As long as they've gone through the court of law.
• 43:53
  SPEAKER_04: Well, that shit's funny.
• 43:54
SPEAKER_04: But you know, I say that it's funny that I I react so harshly to you, Kimmy, and you're exactly right.
• 43:59
SPEAKER_04: And I Apologize for that.
• 44:01
SPEAKER_02: They've already gone through all the due diligence.
• 44:03
SPEAKER_04: Well, I guess it's not any different than just like what I was saying earlier, where the military, these are people that they've got to do it.
• 44:11
  SPEAKER_04: I mean, that's and I can't hate on them for that.
• 44:13
SPEAKER_02: And they make way less.
• 44:15
SPEAKER_04: Well, I wouldn't even talk about the money of it.
• 44:17
  SPEAKER_02: No, but I that's what I'm saying.
• 44:18
SPEAKER_04: I would just think you would have a conscience about you.
• 44:21
SPEAKER_04: Like I totally understand where these people come back with PTSD and not just the explosions, but deal oh man.
• 44:29
SPEAKER_04: You know, and the wildest part, and maybe this is why this country is so amazing.
• 44:33
SPEAKER_04: If you really look at World War II, what really developed this country, the boomers, these were 18-year-old kids.
• 44:40
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
• 44:41
  SPEAKER_05: 16 my grandpa's.
• 44:42
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 44:43
SPEAKER_05: He had to have his well, his parents had died when he was young, so his sister had to sign him up.
• 44:47
SPEAKER_04: These were kids committing suicide if they weren't able to serve.
• 44:51
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 44:52
SPEAKER_04: They thought that highly of being able to do it.
• 44:54
SPEAKER_04: And that's the wildest part about D Day.
• 44:56
SPEAKER_04: I hear these stories of these planes were just lined up.
• 45:00
SPEAKER_04: It like the sky was just blanketed with these planes, right?
• 45:03
SPEAKER_04: You could every way you looked, you couldn't see anything but airplanes.
• 45:06
SPEAKER_04: And these are 18, 19, 20 year olds flying these planes.
• 45:10
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
• 45:10
SPEAKER_04: And uh just you know.
• 45:13
SPEAKER_02: Would you trust any of these 18, 19, 20 year olds this day?
• 45:16
SPEAKER_00: That's why so many people are messed up from war over there.
• 45:20
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 45:20
SPEAKER_00: Oh, which I want to talk to you.
• 45:23
SPEAKER_04: That's the hard part for you.
• 45:25
  unknown: What?
• 45:25
  SPEAKER_04: With fireworks.
• 45:27
SPEAKER_04: I feel for a lot of people that actually have legitimate PTSD.
• 45:30
SPEAKER_00: It happened Friday at the Mummies game.
• 45:33
  SPEAKER_04: Explain.
• 45:34
SPEAKER_00: Um, so it was like the eighth inning.
• 45:37
SPEAKER_00: They were doing their little skits, and you know, no one was playing.
• 45:41
SPEAKER_00: And I wanted to shoot one of the bombs, you know, just to test to see.
• 45:45
SPEAKER_00: You know, just have fun.
• 45:46
SPEAKER_00: I shot one and blew up, and I got a phone call right away.
• 45:49
SPEAKER_00: And it was the general manager.
• 45:52
SPEAKER_00: And he goes, Hey, was that you?
• 45:53
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Yeah, I shot a salute.
• 45:55
SPEAKER_00: And he goes, Don't do that.
• 45:58
SPEAKER_00: And at first I thought he was being a dick.
• 46:00
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, fireworks, dude.
• 46:03
SPEAKER_00: Like you hired me and she fire.
• 46:04
SPEAKER_00: He's like, No, we have an umpire that has PTSD.
• 46:08
  SPEAKER_01: Oh wow.
• 46:09
SPEAKER_00: And they don't appreciate it.
• 46:10
SPEAKER_00: And I said, My bad.
• 46:12
  SPEAKER_00: I get it, you're totally right.
• 46:13
  SPEAKER_00: I said, I had no idea.
• 46:14
SPEAKER_02: I mean, they're probably fine if it's announced that hey, here it's about to happen, but that was unexpected.
• 46:20
SPEAKER_00: So then I was like, no problem.
• 46:22
SPEAKER_00: So then when we were getting ready to shoot the show, he calls me and he goes, Hey, I need 15 minutes to get the umpire out um for PTSD.
• 46:29
SPEAKER_00: And I said, No problem.
• 46:31
SPEAKER_00: You know, so as long as we know about it, I mean, we're real sensitive to that, um, because it's a big deal.
• 46:36
SPEAKER_00: And we try and make sure we accommodate that.
• 46:39
SPEAKER_00: So um that is a big thing.
• 46:41
SPEAKER_04: So I you know, that's uh I love fireworks, it's one of my favorite things in the world, and I mean that sincerely.
• 46:49
SPEAKER_04: And uh yeah, that's the thing, like you know, people have gone through shit that you don't know or realize, or and uh I can totally understand PTA.
• 46:58
SPEAKER_04: And then animals, there's animals that just and I love animals, and they don't know what the hell's going on.
• 47:03
SPEAKER_02: I mean, they just I have two of them that are scared to death, and the other one was like wanting to fight it.
• 47:08
SPEAKER_00: Did you like what I sent you guys today?
• 47:10
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's hilarious, it's bad.
• 47:14
SPEAKER_02: Jolene wants to fight thunder and fireworks.
• 47:16
SPEAKER_02: She's like, bitch, come on!
• 47:18
SPEAKER_04: So that's our uh our morbid jump back into After Two Beers history.
• 47:22
SPEAKER_04: Uh we'll see how that goes next week.
• 47:24
  SPEAKER_04: We'll pick something else.
• 47:25
SPEAKER_04: Something a little less uh speaking of death, here's an interesting story.
• 47:29
  SPEAKER_04: Came out of Brazil.
• 47:31
  SPEAKER_04: A uh 21-year-old woman there.
• 47:33
SPEAKER_04: Uh, she went to the skeleton bridge.
• 47:36
SPEAKER_04: And this should have been their first right.
• 47:38
  SPEAKER_02: That's your first thing.
• 47:40
  SPEAKER_04: People paid approximately$50.
• 47:43
  unknown: Oh.
• 47:44
  SPEAKER_04: American.
• 47:45
SPEAKER_04: That's what she paid to jump off this thing.
• 47:47
  SPEAKER_06: Okay.
• 47:48
SPEAKER_04: They get harnessed up, they jump off, and they're supposed to swing, get lowered down.
• 47:52
SPEAKER_04: It's pretty simple, except uh, well, authorities believe the instructors forgot to touch the rope.
• 47:58
  SPEAKER_04: It wasn't a uh I hope it was a forgot.
• 48:01
SPEAKER_04: Look at oh my god.
• 48:02
SPEAKER_04: I didn't know you were gonna show that one.
• 48:03
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, tootaloo.
• 48:05
  SPEAKER_04: Too much.
• 48:06
  SPEAKER_04: Oh my god.
• 48:08
SPEAKER_02: Oh, they strike like catapult on it.
• 48:11
SPEAKER_04: Oh, you didn't see this.
• 48:12
SPEAKER_02: No, why would I have seen this?
• 48:14
SPEAKER_04: You know the fucked up part.
• 48:15
SPEAKER_04: She lived and she died on the way to the hospital.
• 48:19
  SPEAKER_04: Yes.
• 48:20
  SPEAKER_01: Oh no.
• 48:22
SPEAKER_04: Her fiance was with her, and he's at the top of the skeleton bridge.
• 48:27
SPEAKER_04: And apparently, this bridge has been closed down, and the authorities in the area have tried to lock this thing down.
• 48:33
SPEAKER_04: They didn't want people doing it.
• 48:34
SPEAKER_04: And it's not the first time somebody's died, clearly, when you're paying$50.
• 48:39
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but literally sketchy ass bridge.
• 48:42
SPEAKER_04: When I saw the the video of it the first time, it was up top, and it just showed them like literally just throwing her off.
• 48:49
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah with no rope.
• 48:50
SPEAKER_04: And I thought, fuck, AI out here ruining everything.
• 48:53
  SPEAKER_05: Right.
• 48:54
SPEAKER_05: Or I thought she had one of them wing suits on.
• 48:56
  SPEAKER_00: There's a conspiracy to this, though.
• 48:58
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, come on now.
• 49:00
  SPEAKER_01: Come on, Jeremy.
• 49:02
SPEAKER_00: Um I I you know what's that conspiracy to this that the the guys that threw her that they had an affair or they were sleeping with her, they knew who she was and they didn't want her to tell or something.
• 49:13
SPEAKER_00: And so Where did you read this story?
• 49:15
  SPEAKER_00: It's just what they're saying, dude.
• 49:16
  SPEAKER_00: Who's they?
• 49:17
  SPEAKER_00: I I I'm not revealing my sources.
• 49:19
SPEAKER_04: Oh, no, it's funny you say that though.
• 49:22
SPEAKER_00: But they are they are getting looked at for six people were arrested.
• 49:26
SPEAKER_04: Three uh at the top are facing um landslaughter.
• 49:32
  SPEAKER_05: It was involuntary.
• 49:33
SPEAKER_04: No, it was uh like basically they did it on not on purpose, but right um they're gonna go they're they're looking at like long-term prison sentences, and uh I I read it.
• 49:47
SPEAKER_02: What did she even have the outfit on and just not the hook or what?
• 49:51
SPEAKER_04: No, they had so she there they um the video I saw it wasn't as nearly as graphic.
• 49:58
SPEAKER_00: How the hell do those people standing beside her not say, hey dumbfuck, put the fucking rope on her.
• 50:03
SPEAKER_04: Somebody said it the moment they threw her.
• 50:04
SPEAKER_04: They're like, hey, what about the rope or something like that?
• 50:06
SPEAKER_04: One of the the people that were watching it.
• 50:09
  SPEAKER_00: What about her fiance?
• 50:10
SPEAKER_04: If he's standing there and he They had to take him to the hospital, but anyway, to your point, Jeremy, I'm not saying that the version you heard isn't real, but that was where my mind first went.
• 50:21
SPEAKER_04: I'm like, this seems fucking phony.
• 50:23
SPEAKER_04: This seems like this was set up.
• 50:25
  SPEAKER_04: Right?
• 50:25
SPEAKER_04: How do you just forget to put the rope on them?
• 50:28
  SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm saying.
• 50:28
SPEAKER_04: Something's up, like something just something sketchy about it, you know.
• 50:32
  SPEAKER_04: Were they rich?
• 50:33
SPEAKER_02: Well, normally, like too much.
• 50:34
  SPEAKER_02: You paid$50, apparently not.
• 50:36
SPEAKER_00: I just wonder if there's like some type of uh even King's Island.
• 50:39
SPEAKER_02: When you get onto a ride, you're like click, click, click, click, click, click.
• 50:42
SPEAKER_00: You have I want to look and see what that dude does.
• 50:45
  SPEAKER_02: You have quality measures.
• 50:46
SPEAKER_00: We need to do some deep diving and see what his dad does and what his bank account looks like and stuff.
• 50:51
SPEAKER_02: Maybe it was like what's her life insurance policy?
• 50:53
SPEAKER_00: They'll have a whole podcast just like gambling debt, no doubt.
• 50:56
SPEAKER_00: Maybe he had gambling debt, and then he's like, Hey, motherfucker, I'm gonna throw your girlfriend over.
• 51:00
SPEAKER_04: Show her, throw her off, and I'll pay you guys.
• 51:03
  SPEAKER_04: Oh.
• 51:04
SPEAKER_04: Do you guys become our chair?
• 51:06
SPEAKER_04: Like, basically, what Jeremy's saying is you become like an armchair detective.
• 51:11

• 51:20
  SPEAKER_04: I can do a better job.
• 51:21
  SPEAKER_04: These podcasters.
• 51:22

• 51:50
  SPEAKER_04: Yep.
• 51:51
SPEAKER_04: Let's move away from that one.
• 51:53
SPEAKER_04: The next two stories both come from Boston.
• 51:56
  SPEAKER_04: I said Detroit earlier.
• 51:58
SPEAKER_04: It wasn't Detroit, it was Boston.
• 52:00
  SPEAKER_01: Boston.
• 52:01
  SPEAKER_04: It was Boston.
• 52:02
SPEAKER_04: I feel bad now given Detroit that kind of hate.
• 52:05
  SPEAKER_04: No, it's all right.
• 52:05
SPEAKER_02: Did you lose your khakis or your khakis?
• 52:08
SPEAKER_04: Apparently, there was a 12-year-old that was selling lemonade, you know, normal summer stuff, you know.
• 52:14
SPEAKER_04: But a guy walks up, shows a gun, and steals the money.
• 52:20
  SPEAKER_02: What'd you get like 20 bucks?
• 52:22
  SPEAKER_02: The suspect was erected.
• 52:25
  SPEAKER_02: Did you say erected?
• 52:26
  SPEAKER_02: Arrested.
• 52:28
SPEAKER_04: But and the kid was unharmed.
• 52:29
SPEAKER_04: But I kind of what kind of human being are you to rob a 12-year-old that's selling lemonade with a gun?
• 52:36
SPEAKER_02: The kind that goes and robs a milkhouse.
• 52:40
SPEAKER_05: See, see, and you wonder why I would take the job for five million dollars.
• 52:43
  SPEAKER_04: That's funny.
• 52:45
  SPEAKER_04: Hoodaloo, mother funny.
• 52:46
SPEAKER_04: Oh, I'm not surprised they caught the guy that too.
• 52:48
SPEAKER_00: How much did he get away with?
• 52:50
SPEAKER_04: You know, I didn't dive that deep into it.
• 52:53
  SPEAKER_00: Poor kid.
• 52:54
SPEAKER_04: I mean, what yeah, what the kid having.
• 52:55
SPEAKER_04: Then you talk about PTSD.
• 52:56
SPEAKER_02: When life hands you lemons, you take the lemonade stand.
• 52:59
SPEAKER_04: Oh shit, they have video of it?
• 53:02
  unknown: Oh shit.
• 53:03
SPEAKER_04: This is why I love this podcast.
• 53:05
  SPEAKER_04: This is great.
• 53:06
  SPEAKER_04: It's a briefcase of money.
• 53:07
  SPEAKER_04: It was.
• 53:08
SPEAKER_00: What kind of kid was this?
• 53:10
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 53:11
  SPEAKER_00: This wasn't lemonade.
• 53:13
  SPEAKER_00: This is an upscale.
• 53:14
  SPEAKER_00: This is upscale, bro.
• 53:15
  SPEAKER_00: They're selling drugs.
• 53:17
  SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
• 53:17
SPEAKER_01: Are you serious right here?
• 53:19
SPEAKER_00: There he is, right there.
• 53:21
  SPEAKER_00: Little Robbie.
• 53:22
  SPEAKER_00: Poor Robbie.
• 53:22
  SPEAKER_00: What is he doing?
• 53:23
SPEAKER_05: What is he doing now?
• 53:24
  SPEAKER_05: Painting the green.
• 53:25
  SPEAKER_00: He's trying to be a lemon.
• 53:27
  SPEAKER_00: What is he doing?
• 53:28
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, they're painting.
• 53:29
SPEAKER_00: They're painting their lemonade stand, guys.
• 53:31
SPEAKER_05: You guys are doing too much.
• 53:32
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's too much.
• 53:33
  SPEAKER_04: Oh shit.
• 53:34
  SPEAKER_04: There they go.
• 53:35
  SPEAKER_04: Robbing him.
• 53:36
SPEAKER_04: Why do they keep showing the pink?
• 53:40
  SPEAKER_00: Catch us.
• 53:48
SPEAKER_04: At least they call it the guys.
• 53:49
  SPEAKER_04: Right.
• 53:50
SPEAKER_04: At least they call it to guys.
• 53:51
SPEAKER_04: What the hell is good?
• 53:53
SPEAKER_04: How did they paint shit in South Boston?
• 53:56
SPEAKER_04: Look how nice it looks like that.
• 53:58
  SPEAKER_04: It's beautiful.
• 53:59
SPEAKER_04: Apparently, they need to put some of that protective glass on it.
• 54:06
SPEAKER_04: Like it's some neighborhoods in Indy where you go buy gas.
• 54:09
SPEAKER_04: You gotta have the glass.
• 54:11
SPEAKER_00: That shit ain't plexi, bro.
• 54:13
SPEAKER_04: Put your money in the middle of the back.
• 54:17
SPEAKER_04: He pushes your lemonade out and pulls the money back in.
• 54:20
SPEAKER_04: Like Meyer gas station after midnight.
• 54:23
SPEAKER_04: Oh, speaking of Boston, this brings me to our last story of the night.
• 54:27
SPEAKER_04: We're gonna wrap this up.
• 54:28
SPEAKER_04: And it has become my new as favorite just time killer.
• 54:33
SPEAKER_04: And it uh apparently people are showing up from around the world, and it reminds us, Americans, just how cool this country is.
• 54:41
SPEAKER_01: I have absolutely loved this.
• 54:44
SPEAKER_04: The uh the first story actually occurred in Boston.
• 54:47
SPEAKER_04: Same it could happen the same day.
• 54:50
SPEAKER_04: The bars started running low, and uh apparently it's because a bunch of Scottish fans showed up, soccer fans, football fans over this.
• 54:58
  SPEAKER_04: Yes, football.
• 54:59
SPEAKER_04: And uh they basically drank the city out of beer.
• 55:03
SPEAKER_04: Oh bars, everything all of it.
• 55:06
  SPEAKER_02: Yes.
• 55:06
SPEAKER_02: Did you see uh did you like when you were doing all of this?
• 55:10
SPEAKER_02: Did you see the guy that was from Scotland that tried one of those Sun Cruisers or whatever?
• 55:14
SPEAKER_02: And he goes, This doesn't have any alcohol in it.
• 55:17
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's uh you made him sound like a commercial.
• 55:21
SPEAKER_04: You made him sound like a vampire.
• 55:24
SPEAKER_02: Sorry, I didn't get my Scottish Your Scottish sounds like Dracula.
• 55:30
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I want to drink.
• 55:33
SPEAKER_02: I'm really bad at the accents.
• 55:35
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 55:38
SPEAKER_00: They're showing Ultra because they're the sponsor of the World Cup.
• 55:41
SPEAKER_04: They uh five scat 5,000 Scots arrived in Boston.
• 55:45
SPEAKER_04: Have you seen the video where they were at the Red Sox game?
• 55:48
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
• 55:49
  SPEAKER_04: Tartan Army.
• 55:50
  SPEAKER_04: Oh my god.
• 55:50
SPEAKER_04: Well, they were doing the song uh AJ and I love it.
• 55:53
  SPEAKER_04: It's the 500 mile.
• 55:54
SPEAKER_04: I would walk five hundred and they kept singing it just repeatedly.
• 56:00
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, like after the aim.
• 56:02
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
• 56:04
SPEAKER_04: Do we have a bot?
• 56:05
SPEAKER_04: Do we have our first bot?
• 56:06
  SPEAKER_02: Best promotion on streamboo.org.
• 56:08
  SPEAKER_04: Stream boo.
• 56:10
SPEAKER_04: Is that like a dating site?
• 56:12
  SPEAKER_02: Stream your boo.
• 56:13
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, no, I love it.
• 56:14
  SPEAKER_05: Everybody's over here.
• 56:15
SPEAKER_05: It just goes to show you that the media and the politicians are.
• 56:18
SPEAKER_02: So I do have a I do have a quick question though.
• 56:21
SPEAKER_02: So do the Scottish they do they always wear kilts?
• 56:24
SPEAKER_02: Or is it like a special occasion?
• 56:26
  SPEAKER_02: No, usually.
• 56:27
SPEAKER_04: There was one guy that said he brought two kilts just in case one got dirty.
• 56:31
  SPEAKER_04: Yep.
• 56:32
SPEAKER_02: You know, God forbid you get your your kilt dirty.
• 56:35
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you know.
• 56:36
SPEAKER_04: Uh the best part of the story, it wasn't that Boston ran out of beer, it was what was left.
• 56:41
  SPEAKER_04: It was Bud Light.
• 56:43
SPEAKER_04: Imagine you're Scottish and you traveled 4,000 miles to come here and now you're drinking Bud Light, which I'm a big fan of.
• 56:54
  SPEAKER_04: See, Jeremy.
• 56:55
SPEAKER_02: Jeremy, this is why we can't have nice things.
• 56:57
SPEAKER_04: This is why you sit in that room.
• 56:58
SPEAKER_04: Hey, Bud Light and Pride.
• 57:00
  SPEAKER_04: There you go.
• 57:01
SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna have to start giving uh AJ a little squirter bottle, and we're gonna have to squirt you like a cat that gets on the counter.
• 57:08
SPEAKER_05: That's the best part, too.
• 57:09
SPEAKER_05: Half these people have to come to this country have been dropped off in the smaller areas and not the big cities.
• 57:15
SPEAKER_00: Well, so I've had a drink over there.
• 57:17
SPEAKER_04: All right, calm down one at a time.
• 57:19
  SPEAKER_04: Go ahead.
• 57:20
  SPEAKER_04: No, no, no, no.
• 57:21
SPEAKER_04: Uh the the only thing, and we'll we'll finish on this.
• 57:24
SPEAKER_04: The thing that I've I've fallen in love with is the videos of individuals that have come from overseas that come to the United States, and they make us kind of realize the things that we take for granted every day in this country are amazing.
• 57:40
SPEAKER_05: Or that we realize is awesome, but right.
• 57:43
SPEAKER_02: Well, what I like that is that they were expecting it to be dangerous and that people weren't a hospitable.
• 57:50
SPEAKER_05: Everybody's been hospitable, and we have ranch, ranch and school buses are real, and air conditioning.
• 57:58
SPEAKER_02: Air conditioning, and our food's amazing.
• 58:00
SPEAKER_02: Like, oh, that's the best.
• 58:02
SPEAKER_04: Have you guys been watching these?
• 58:04
SPEAKER_04: AJ, have you watched any of these videos?
• 58:06
  SPEAKER_05: Jeremy?
• 58:07
  SPEAKER_05: They're calling it the FIFA 15.
• 58:09
  SPEAKER_05: Yes, the FIFA 15?
• 58:11
SPEAKER_05: Coming over here out eating all this food and gaining the.
• 58:13
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, that's hilarious.
• 58:14
SPEAKER_04: Now they know why we're all so fat over here because of food.
• 58:18
SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, we just ate biscuits and gravy for the first time.
• 58:20
SPEAKER_00: The only cool thing about the World Cup at the B dubs is you get the meal and you can get the special flight of sauces.
• 58:27
SPEAKER_00: And you can only get the sauces if you get that meal, or you gotta pay extra to get the six different types of sauces, and it's the colors of the World Cup flag.
• 58:36
  SPEAKER_00: Oh.
• 58:36
SPEAKER_02: Well, that's kind of cool.
• 58:37
SPEAKER_00: So I thought that was kind of cool.
• 58:39
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 58:39
SPEAKER_00: That's about the only thing cool I know about chicken wake sauce.
• 58:42
SPEAKER_02: Well, what I've what I've seen from all of the videos is that all of these people from over, like from other countries are like, oh my god, what is this?
• 58:50
  SPEAKER_02: What is this?
• 58:51
SPEAKER_02: Okay, you like some of the best videos ranch, and they're like, We're taking ranch home with us.
• 58:55
SPEAKER_00: Not gonna lie, I have watched some of the World Cup because I just finished the third season of Ted Lasso.
• 59:01
SPEAKER_00: And now, and now I know what a pitch is and everything.
• 59:04
SPEAKER_00: So like it kind of sides mean.
• 59:07
  SPEAKER_02: What's offsides mean, Jeremy?
• 59:10
SPEAKER_00: When the ball is ahead of something, I don't know.
• 59:14
  SPEAKER_00: The defenders.
• 59:15
SPEAKER_02: The defenders are ahead of something.
• 59:16
SPEAKER_05: Some of the best ones are when the uh like the Mexican fans and the people from Japan got together.
• 59:22
SPEAKER_05: Probably don't understand a word each other's saying, but they're having a great time.
• 59:26
SPEAKER_05: Oh drinking tequila, throwing it back and forth.
• 59:29
SPEAKER_00: How does the World Cup work though?
• 59:31
SPEAKER_00: Watching the Japanese eating a taco is amazing.
• 59:34
  SPEAKER_00: Right?
• 59:35
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 59:35
  SPEAKER_00: It's 48.
• 59:37
SPEAKER_00: So when's the end game?
• 59:39
SPEAKER_00: Like, where is it taking place at?
• 59:41
SPEAKER_05: The final game is in New Jersey.
• 59:42
  SPEAKER_05: Is it really?
• 59:43
SPEAKER_05: Because they have stuff in Tennessee.
• 59:45
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, when is it?
• 59:46
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Boston, Tennessee, and Philadelphia?
• 59:49
  SPEAKER_05: When Kansas City.
• 59:51
SPEAKER_05: Well, it's in Canada and Mexico also.
• 59:53
SPEAKER_05: It's the FIFA Cup, right?
• 59:54
  SPEAKER_00: That's what we're FIFA, yeah.
• 59:55
SPEAKER_00: And then it's one game, they'll get to it down to one game in what in like two weeks?
• 59:59
SPEAKER_05: No, it's here until July.
• 1:00:01
  SPEAKER_05: July 19th, I think.
• 1:00:03
SPEAKER_05: Because one big thing they're saying is that uh Team USA might play Team England on July 4th in Philly.
• 1:00:10
  SPEAKER_05: Beat 'em.
• 1:00:11
  SPEAKER_01: Oh wow.
• 1:00:12
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 1:00:12
SPEAKER_05: That'd be kind of cool.
• 1:00:13
  SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
• 1:00:14
SPEAKER_02: Do you know how oh my god, I would love to see how expensive those tickets would be.
• 1:00:18
  unknown: Right.
• 1:00:18
SPEAKER_02: So they'd say everything has to work out because on the 250th anniversary.
• 1:00:23
  SPEAKER_04: Right.
• 1:00:23
SPEAKER_04: They talked about some of the things that uh these individuals were blown away by.
• 1:00:28
SPEAKER_04: One of the videos I've seen where people walk into Bucky's.
• 1:00:31
  SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah.
• 1:00:32
SPEAKER_04: And they're like, this is a gas station.
• 1:00:34
SPEAKER_04: And then I uh I was uh Jeremy and I were talking about this one earlier.
• 1:00:38
SPEAKER_04: I think it was uh there was a guy that walked into one of the big Bass Pro shops.
• 1:00:44
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, yeah.
• 1:00:44
SPEAKER_04: And they showed the real life fish tank, you know, with the fish, and he's like, holy and then they walk him down the arms row where all the different guys like I can come in here, he goes, I can buy a frying pan, and he turns around and an assault rifle.
• 1:01:00
SPEAKER_02: Well, no, I saw one where they went into like a Walmart, yeah.
• 1:01:03
SPEAKER_02: Where you could actually, he's like, I can get eggs, milk, bread, and then an air.
• 1:01:08
  SPEAKER_02: Shotgun.
• 1:01:09
  SPEAKER_02: Shotgun.
• 1:01:09
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it was in in Kentucky.
• 1:01:11
SPEAKER_04: There was uh it's just it's one of those things that these individuals talk about the stuff that we enjoy that we take for granted.
• 1:01:19
SPEAKER_04: There was a Japanese guy that told a story about they went into a Mexican restaurant.
• 1:01:23
SPEAKER_05: I sent you that story about the the salsa.
• 1:01:26
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, he goes, I have not done anything to earn this.
• 1:01:29
SPEAKER_05: He's like, I call honor your chips and salsa.
• 1:01:32
SPEAKER_05: And they brought another one.
• 1:01:34
  SPEAKER_05: Again.
• 1:01:38
SPEAKER_06: I have not done anything to earn this.
• 1:01:39
  SPEAKER_04: There's another guy.
• 1:01:40
SPEAKER_04: Kimmy sent me one where the guy that uh is trying American foods.
• 1:01:44
SPEAKER_04: Oh, and it was the guy that went into cracker barrel and had biscuits and gravy and just set it down.
• 1:01:49
SPEAKER_05: It's like, he actually lives here now.
• 1:01:51
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, really?
• 1:01:52
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I can't go back.
• 1:01:56
SPEAKER_02: Everybody I was actually joking.
• 1:01:58
SPEAKER_05: I was like, well, imagine if he had had my biscuits.
• 1:02:02
SPEAKER_05: People back in England, and they're like, yeah, I gotta go back.
• 1:02:04
SPEAKER_00: If he would have tried the cracker bearer pancakes, man, he might have.
• 1:02:07
SPEAKER_04: All right, we're gonna end it on this right here.
• 1:02:09
SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna give you all one opportunity.
• 1:02:12
SPEAKER_04: Mike Coddington says, watch the Kentucky shit.
• 1:02:14
SPEAKER_04: I definitely want to watch it now.
• 1:02:16
SPEAKER_04: Uh, and this is for individuals that are watching us live.
• 1:02:18
SPEAKER_04: This is our question of the week.
• 1:02:20
SPEAKER_04: I just came up with this idea.
• 1:02:21
SPEAKER_04: We should do this every week.
• 1:02:23
SPEAKER_04: If you were in charge of a group of 10 Europeans, and you can do anything you want with these 10 European, not dirty shit.
• 1:02:33
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, right shit.
• 1:02:34
SPEAKER_04: But you're gonna take them and show them the most American thing over the next four weeks.
• 1:02:40
  SPEAKER_04: I mean, I'm not gonna lie.
• 1:02:41
SPEAKER_04: The UFC fight was pretty American.
• 1:02:43
SPEAKER_05: I'm gonna bring this up real quick.
• 1:02:44
SPEAKER_05: There's that Freddie guy on TikTok, or yeah, TikTok, but you know where he actually went the other day?
• 1:02:49
  SPEAKER_05: Where'd he go?
• 1:02:50
  SPEAKER_05: Garlic Parm.
• 1:02:51
  SPEAKER_05: Magic City.
• 1:02:52
SPEAKER_05: Somebody took him to Magic City.
• 1:02:53
  SPEAKER_05: Really?
• 1:02:54
SPEAKER_05: Somebody took him to Magic City.
• 1:02:55
SPEAKER_02: Ella Langley said, Take him to one of her concerts.
• 1:02:59
SPEAKER_05: JJ Watt set him up with tickets in Houston, and he walks in his room, and there's just jerseys and shirts all autographed from JJ Watt.
• 1:03:07
  SPEAKER_05: That's awesome.
• 1:03:08
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 1:03:09
SPEAKER_04: So, my question to you you're taking a group of 10 Europeans and you want to give them a unique American experience.
• 1:03:16
SPEAKER_04: What are you taking them to do?
• 1:03:18
SPEAKER_04: And I've I've come up with mine.
• 1:03:19
  SPEAKER_00: Grand Canyon.
• 1:03:20
  SPEAKER_00: Mine's easy.
• 1:03:21
  SPEAKER_04: What's that?
• 1:03:22
  SPEAKER_00: Fireworks show.
• 1:03:23
  SPEAKER_04: Fireworks show?
• 1:03:24
  SPEAKER_05: Grand Canyon.
• 1:03:26
  SPEAKER_05: Texas barbecue.
• 1:03:27
  SPEAKER_05: They love Texas Barbecue.
• 1:03:29
  SPEAKER_04: Love it.
• 1:03:29
SPEAKER_05: You know what I want to do?
• 1:03:31
  SPEAKER_04: I thought about it.
• 1:03:32
  SPEAKER_04: Strip club.
• 1:03:32
SPEAKER_04: I want to take them to the World 100.
• 1:03:34
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
• 1:03:35
  SPEAKER_04: Oh my baby.
• 1:03:36
SPEAKER_04: I want to take them up to El Dor for a weekend.
• 1:03:39
  SPEAKER_02: Bless their hearts.
• 1:03:40
  SPEAKER_04: Or Indy 500.
• 1:03:41
  SPEAKER_04: Oh.
• 1:03:42
  SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
• 1:03:43
SPEAKER_02: The Indy 500 would be good.
• 1:03:44
SPEAKER_04: And you gotta sleep in the Coke lot.
• 1:03:47
  SPEAKER_05: Yes.
• 1:03:48
SPEAKER_05: Sleep in the Coke lot.
• 1:03:49
SPEAKER_05: And you have tickets for Coca-Cola lot.
• 1:03:51
SPEAKER_04: And you go to the Brass Flamingo.
• 1:03:53
  SPEAKER_05: Yes.
• 1:03:54
  SPEAKER_04: The whole thing.
• 1:03:55
  SPEAKER_04: Ah, Bourbon Trail.
• 1:03:56
SPEAKER_04: Bourbon Trail would be cool.
• 1:03:57
SPEAKER_04: And also Coddington's mentioned some cool shit.
• 1:04:00
SPEAKER_04: Bourbon Trail would be pretty neat.
• 1:04:02
  SPEAKER_04: Fantastic.
• 1:04:03
SPEAKER_04: I want to do it.
• 1:04:04
SPEAKER_04: It's uh we've gone down and stayed with Coddington, and he's taking us to a few of those places.
• 1:04:08
  SPEAKER_04: Shout out Mike Coddington.
• 1:04:10
SPEAKER_04: Um, that would be a really cool one, too.
• 1:04:12
SPEAKER_02: Um I think taking them to the beach or something, though.
• 1:04:16
SPEAKER_04: Well, they have beaches all over the world.
• 1:04:17
  SPEAKER_02: I know.
• 1:04:18
SPEAKER_04: I'm trying to think of things that are uniquely American.
• 1:04:20
  SPEAKER_04: Shopping.
• 1:04:21
SPEAKER_00: Well, I have them come over here to shop.
• 1:04:23
SPEAKER_04: I will tell you this.
• 1:04:24
SPEAKER_04: We'll end it on this.
• 1:04:25
SPEAKER_04: You know, we we started off so well with the uh Pride Parade stuff that uh when I worked at Belden here locally, I worked with a lot of individuals that came from all over the world.
• 1:04:34
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 1:04:35
SPEAKER_04: And was fortunate enough to travel all over the world too.
• 1:04:38
SPEAKER_04: But one of the coolest things was, and I'm as I've always been intrigued by what people think of the US that are outside of the United States.
• 1:04:47
SPEAKER_04: And so I would ask these individuals, I would say, What do you want to do?
• 1:04:52
  SPEAKER_04: Like, or excuse me.
• 1:04:53
SPEAKER_04: What do you want to see?
• 1:04:54
SPEAKER_04: What do you think of?
• 1:04:55
SPEAKER_04: I I got sidetracked by Jeremy, that's my fault.
• 1:04:59
SPEAKER_00: Did you see the comments?
• 1:05:00
SPEAKER_04: No, I'm trying to the Richard Bike band.
• 1:05:03
  SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
• 1:05:05
  SPEAKER_04: That's funny.
• 1:05:05
  SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, Annie.
• 1:05:06
  SPEAKER_00: I love it.
• 1:05:07
SPEAKER_00: So don't be mad at me when I'm reading the comments.
• 1:05:11
SPEAKER_04: But anyway, uh, I would ask these people, I'm like, what do you guys really think of Americans?
• 1:05:17
SPEAKER_04: And they and this was almost always the answer I got was as a group, we don't like you guys a whole lot.
• 1:05:24
SPEAKER_04: We think you're very boisterous and proud and and all that kind of stuff.
• 1:05:28
SPEAKER_04: But he said, one-on-one, when you meet someone from the US, he goes, It's some of the nicest people you ever have.
• 1:05:34
SPEAKER_05: That's what everybody has said.
• 1:05:35
SPEAKER_04: You know, one on one, it's one of the nicest things.
• 1:05:38
SPEAKER_04: And there was one guy that I had spoken to, I think he was from Germany.
• 1:05:42
SPEAKER_04: Um, but he made a comment where he was here in the States for a while working on a project.
• 1:05:47
SPEAKER_04: And he goes, It was during your guys' uh it was either Memorial Day or the Fourth of July.
• 1:05:53
SPEAKER_04: And he goes, We uh I got taken to a parade, not a parade parade or you know, like a regular parade.
• 1:05:58
SPEAKER_04: And he goes, um The very first thing that was in the parade was your guys' color.
• 1:06:04
SPEAKER_04: It was the different flags from the different.
• 1:06:07
SPEAKER_04: And he goes, and to watch Americans stand up that were at the parade, that were sitting down, and everyone paid respect, he goes, That was one of the most impressive and amazing things I've ever seen.
• 1:06:19
  SPEAKER_05: Oh yeah.
• 1:06:20
SPEAKER_04: And he goes, That's what Americans mean to me when I think of that.
• 1:06:24
SPEAKER_04: And that was the other cool part.
• 1:06:25
SPEAKER_04: I got to spend some time.
• 1:06:26
SPEAKER_04: I was in Amsterdam and I was meeting with some guys that were from England.
• 1:06:31
SPEAKER_04: And I asked him the same thing.
• 1:06:33
SPEAKER_04: I asked this group, and he goes, I can tell you this.
• 1:06:35
SPEAKER_04: He goes, I was in our military, and he goes, I was deployed overseas, and he was deployed with Marines.
• 1:06:41
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 1:06:42
  SPEAKER_04: Oh.
• 1:06:42
SPEAKER_04: And he goes, I'm gonna tell you right now, he goes, We think we're pretty badass in the military.
• 1:06:47
SPEAKER_04: He goes, Nothing taught like touches the US military.
• 1:06:52
  unknown: No.
• 1:06:52
SPEAKER_04: And so that's the thing.
• 1:06:54
SPEAKER_04: You know, I I sit back and and uh as as much fun as we're having on this podcast, you know, Jeremy and I we were chatting earlier this week about the um the UFC fight and everything that took place there in uh Washington DC.
• 1:07:10
SPEAKER_04: And I think sometimes media obviously feeds into it so that people will watch programs and and and that sort of thing.
• 1:07:18
SPEAKER_04: And so I think we have a tendency to think that we're more divided in this country than we really are.
• 1:07:23
SPEAKER_04: And I think when you see these videos of individuals that are coming in and basically saying, All these people are so nice, it's a breath of fresh air.
• 1:07:31
  SPEAKER_04: It is, it's everybody's very hospitable.
• 1:07:34
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, it's that's it.
• 1:07:35
SPEAKER_02: And then and I was like, and that was in Boston.
• 1:07:40
SPEAKER_05: The cops were having fun, the cops were playing.
• 1:07:43
SPEAKER_00: Do you guys remember Uncle Roger from England that used to come over here?
• 1:07:47
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 1:07:48
SPEAKER_00: He's always calls an effing mumpet.
• 1:07:50
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he was always pushing that uh you shouldn't use spray deodorant because of the aluminum.
• 1:07:55
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, aluminum instead of aluminium.
• 1:07:58
  SPEAKER_00: Aluminum mate, that's why he'd say.
• 1:07:59
  SPEAKER_04: So there you go.
• 1:08:00
SPEAKER_04: I uh I think we're pretty freaking lucky to be live in the country that we were just happened to be born in.
• 1:08:06
SPEAKER_04: And and uh I, you know, regardless of how you feel about certain people's opinions on certain things, other than some of the rude jokes that came out of there tonight.
• 1:08:16
  SPEAKER_04: Whoa.
• 1:08:16
  SPEAKER_04: Whoa, easy guys, easy.
• 1:08:19
SPEAKER_04: Uh let's put a cap on that.
• 1:08:23
  SPEAKER_00: Check yourself.
• 1:08:24
  SPEAKER_00: You guys are crazy.
• 1:08:26
SPEAKER_04: Uh it I will say though, one of my anyway.
• 1:08:29
  SPEAKER_04: Um anyway.
• 1:08:32
SPEAKER_04: I uh I you know I love this podcast.
• 1:08:35
  SPEAKER_04: This is episode 201.
• 1:08:36
SPEAKER_04: We're we're moving into uh new era, a new era.
• 1:08:40
SPEAKER_04: I love the history, I love bringing that kind of stuff back.
• 1:08:43
SPEAKER_04: And and um I think the if you get a chance, if you're taking a shit and you're gonna be playing Candy Crush anyways, do yourself a favor.
• 1:08:52
  SPEAKER_02: Monopoly Go.
• 1:08:53
SPEAKER_02: What do you think about it?
• 1:08:54
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, whatever.
• 1:08:54
SPEAKER_04: Do you play Monopoly Go?
• 1:08:56
  SPEAKER_02: I do.
• 1:08:56
  SPEAKER_04: Do you really?
• 1:08:57
SPEAKER_04: I don't um do yourself a favor and look up some of these videos, yeah, and you're gonna see people that are just blown away by how how hospital hospitable and uh well our hospitals are pretty good too.
• 1:09:11
  SPEAKER_04: Apparently they're not.
• 1:09:12
  SPEAKER_04: We die a lot.
• 1:09:13
SPEAKER_04: But uh episode 250 at the White House.
• 1:09:16
  SPEAKER_04: I would love it.
• 1:09:17
  SPEAKER_00: 60 million.
• 1:09:19
  SPEAKER_00: 60 million.
• 1:09:20
  SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
• 1:09:20
SPEAKER_00: So how many paid between now and July 4th?
• 1:09:24
SPEAKER_02: Oh, we got we got jobs.
• 1:09:27
SPEAKER_03: What the fuck are you talking about?
• 1:09:30
SPEAKER_02: To try to get episode 250 by 4th of July.
• 1:09:34
  SPEAKER_03: Who said that?
• 1:09:35
SPEAKER_02: He said episode 250 at the White House.
• 1:09:40
SPEAKER_02: Oh, I thought maybe like episode 250 at on the 250th anniversary time.
• 1:09:45
  SPEAKER_02: Sorry.
• 1:09:45
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, I see.
• 1:09:46
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
• 1:09:47
SPEAKER_00: Anyway, we could probably one of you guys' houses that's white.
• 1:09:55
  SPEAKER_04: I have a White House.

SPEAKER_04: Thanks again to everybody that tuned in tonight.

• 1:11:26
SPEAKER_04: Uh, we say it at the end of every show, and um it still rings true, arguably, the most important things that we'll ever say on this show, and it's simply this world can be a tough place, lots of things going on, and uh you know what, we're uh we're a lot closer than we realize, and we're a lot more connected than I think uh people have a tendency to really, really, really think about.
• 1:11:52
SPEAKER_04: So just love each other, take care of each other, be kind to each other.
• 1:11:57
SPEAKER_04: If you see someone you think they're struggling, maybe they just don't seem like themselves, reach out to them.
• 1:12:01
SPEAKER_04: Just tell them you love them, tell them you care about them, tell them you lead a gay parade down the middle of Vass Avenue Indianapolis.
• 1:12:09
SPEAKER_04: That's how much you love, you know, love your people.
• 1:12:12
SPEAKER_04: Love your people, love everybody.
• 1:12:14

  SPEAKER_02: After two beers.
• 1:12:26
SPEAKER_02: Take me home, take me home home.
