- 0:00Speaker 1: Back inside Bears Smokehouse Barbecue one final segment. A couple
- 0:03Speaker 1: of minutes here with head coach Mike Cavanaugh. We do
- 0:06Speaker 1: have a question coming in from the audience, Okay, from Michael.
- 0:11Speaker 1: A couple of weeks ago, you had a weekend against
- 0:14Speaker 1: you Mass and you Mask Loll back to back days.
- 0:16Speaker 1: There haven't been too many split weekends over the course
- 0:19Speaker 1: of the year where you get two different opponents back
- 0:22Speaker 1: to back. How do you navigate the week leading up
- 0:25Speaker 1: to that in terms of preparation? And I mean a
- 0:28Speaker 1: you Mass and you Mass, Well they have a little
- 0:30Speaker 1: bit of a different style, So how do you kind
- 0:31Speaker 1: of navigate that.
- 0:33Speaker 2: You just focus on the game Friday night. You don't
- 0:36Speaker 2: really worry about Saturday Night. I think the best way
- 0:39Speaker 2: to be successful on Saturday night is to win Friday night.
- 0:42Speaker 2: So we just really, honestly, in the when it's in league,
- 0:49Speaker 2: you know your opponents really well. It's not We had
- 0:52Speaker 2: already played Lowell twice. We have a very good understanding
- 0:55Speaker 2: of how Lowell plays, so we weren't too concerned about
- 1:00Speaker 2: worrying about them before we play U.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Mess And I'm not looking for a name, but coming
- 1:06Speaker 1: up with four games to go in the regular season,
- 1:08Speaker 1: then Hockey East and then hopefully likely NCAA tournament. Based
- 1:12Speaker 1: on where things are, how do you make decisions on
- 1:15Speaker 1: goaltenders moving forward. That's kind of the one big decision
- 1:19Speaker 1: on a nightly basis that you'll have moving ahead.
- 1:22Speaker 2: It's just a game by game basis. It's not as
- 1:26Speaker 2: complicated as people think. We're really fortunate right now where
- 1:31Speaker 2: we have two goaltenders playing really, really well. So that's
- 1:35Speaker 2: a great problem to have. I'm not trust me, Adam.
- 1:39Speaker 2: It does not keep me up at night wondering which
- 1:41Speaker 2: goaltender we're going to play.
- 1:42Speaker 1: That's a good thing. It's a good place to be.
- 1:44Speaker 1: There are a lot of coaches that wish they could
- 1:46Speaker 1: say that at this stage of the season. Tomorrow night,
- 1:48Speaker 1: seven o'clock against Boston University. This is an opponent despite
- 1:53Speaker 1: the familiarity, you haven't played them since October eighteenth. So
- 1:58Speaker 1: what do you expect that you know BU is going
- 2:00Speaker 1: to be able to put forward since the last time
- 2:03Speaker 1: you guys matched up months ago.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Well, there's not many holes in their game. I think that.
- 2:10Speaker 2: You know, they brought in the goaltender Yegorov, and he's
- 2:13Speaker 2: really stabilized their goaltending As of late, I believe Cole
- 2:18Speaker 2: Hudson's probably your Hockey East rookie of the year. He's
- 2:22Speaker 2: top five and scoring as a freshman defenseman, so he's
- 2:26Speaker 2: certainly very dangerous and he's got complimented by a lot
- 2:28Speaker 2: of good players on the back end and then up front.
- 2:32Speaker 2: They just have a lot of weapons that can beat
- 2:34Speaker 2: So it's another Hockey East game that you know, the
- 2:38Speaker 2: talent level is probably even.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Again, it's going to be the team.
- 2:42Speaker 2: That plays to their structure, that doesn't make the most mistakes,
- 2:47Speaker 2: stays disciplined. It's not a game where you want to
- 2:50Speaker 2: have four or five penalties aside. I just think that's
- 2:53Speaker 2: a recipe for disaster if I think that's probably true
- 2:58Speaker 2: with most Hockey East teams. Don't want to be in
- 3:00Speaker 2: a game where you have to kill six penalties.
- 3:03Speaker 3: So discipline is going to be important for us as.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Well, Lane cole Quinn, they got any more? Are we
- 3:10Speaker 1: done with three Hudsons.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Than we are? I don't know. I hope yeah, unless
- 3:15Speaker 3: they want to come to Yukon. That's right.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Pretty talented family. Keep putting out great hockey players. Coach,
- 3:20Speaker 1: thanks so much for one final rodeo here at Bears
