- 1:12Speaker 1: With your host, Joe, the Ghost Guy.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Previously on Ghost Stories and the Unusual Paranormal Podcast. Joe
- 1:39Speaker 2: the Ghost Guy told us about the blue horses, that
- 1:42Speaker 2: they are an omen for travelers to watch out for danger,
- 1:46Speaker 2: and if you don't heed their warnings, to turn and
- 1:49Speaker 2: go back! Well, it may be the last thing you
- 1:56Speaker 2: ever do. Because if you don't listen and go forward
- 2:00Speaker 2: on your current path, you may get injured or... you
- 2:06Speaker 2: may end up dead. Where is he going to go next?
- 2:14Speaker 2: Let's tune into this episode and see, shall we? On
- 2:18Speaker 2: Ghost Stories and the Unusual Paranormal Podcast with your spooky
- 2:23Speaker 2: ghost investigator, Joe the Ghost Guy.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Good morning, good afternoon, good evening wherever you are across
- 2:33Speaker 3: the country. and around the world. You are listening to
- 2:38Speaker 3: Ghost Stories and the Unusual Paranormal Podcast. I am indeed
- 2:44Speaker 3: your spooky investigator, Joe the Ghost Guy. It is the
- 2:51Speaker 3: spooky season, friends. Spooky season 2026. It's that wonderful time
- 2:59Speaker 3: to be scared and love it. We have our new
- 3:06Speaker 3: website up, Ghost Stories and the Unusual Paranormal Podcast. There
- 3:13Speaker 3: you can check out our old episodes. And we have
- 3:19Speaker 3: a place for you to write in your spooky story,
- 3:26Speaker 3: if you like. And we hope that you enjoy the website.
- 3:34Speaker 3: And tonight's story was submitted by one of our listeners.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Her name is Wendy. And tonight's story, she was telling
- 3:49Speaker 3: me that she happened to go to this place that
- 3:56Speaker 3: we're speaking of tonight. And she took some pictures. They
- 4:05Speaker 3: were pretty awesome. So tonight, we're going to dive into
- 4:13Speaker 3: our story. So without further ado, let's cozy up on
- 4:20Speaker 3: that couch with that loved one. Grab that bowl of popcorn,
- 4:25Speaker 3: because it's lights out. Everybody, as our story begins. There
- 4:36Speaker 3: are ghost towns where everyone left. There are ghost towns
- 4:43Speaker 3: where the mines closed, the saloons empty, the last families
- 4:51Speaker 3: packed their belongings and disappeared down the dusty road. And
- 4:58Speaker 3: then there are places where something apparently stayed behind. Tonight,
- 5:09Speaker 3: we are traveling into the mountains of southwestern Montana to
- 5:15Speaker 3: the strange collection of buildings outside anaconda known as Gunslinger Gulch. Tonight,
- 5:29Speaker 3: a place of weathered boards dark windows, empty rooms, an
- 5:39Speaker 3: old saloon, brothel building, a boarded house, a church, some cabins,
- 5:50Speaker 3: of course a jailhouse. And when the darkness falls over
- 5:55Speaker 3: these buildings, some visitor in the town doesn't feel empty
- 6:02Speaker 3: at all. Gunslinger Gulch sits at roughly 42 acres and
- 6:10Speaker 3: contains 19 buildings. Many of those historic structures were transported
- 6:17Speaker 3: from elsewhere and assembled on the property, meaning this wasn't
- 6:25Speaker 3: simply an untouched frontier town, frozen exactly where it stood
- 6:32Speaker 3: in the 1800s. But that fact may take its haunting
- 6:40Speaker 3: even stronger. Because if the stories are true, what came
- 6:47Speaker 3: of those buildings? Did someone move more than just lumber?
- 6:52Speaker 3: More than just doors? More than just windows? More than
- 6:59Speaker 3: just walls? Did someone of those buildings structures bring memories
- 7:08Speaker 3: with them, or perhaps occupants. Tonight, we're going inside Gunslinger Gulch,
- 7:20Speaker 3: and we are meeting the spirits reportedly encountered there, the
- 7:28Speaker 3: unseen voices, the figures of Walking where no living person stands.
- 7:36Speaker 3: The mysterious man. The possible headless woman. Phantom animals. And
- 7:45Speaker 3: something that gave itself a name that almost sounds like
- 7:52Speaker 3: a joke. Until you're standing alone in the darkness. Steve. Steve,
- 8:01Speaker 3: you say? Yes, Steve the Demon. But there is something
- 8:09Speaker 3: important you need to know about before we begin. The
- 8:14Speaker 3: owner of Gunslinger Gulch, Karen Brossard, has pushed back strongly
- 8:21Speaker 3: against the television betrayal that suggested her property suffered from
- 8:28Speaker 3: demonic infestation. She and paranormal investigator Troy Shockley have said
- 8:36Speaker 3: that the cessational demonic narrative portrayed on television did not
- 8:45Speaker 3: represent that what they believe is actual happening there. So tonight,
- 8:53Speaker 3: we aren't going to pretend what every legend has proved
- 9:00Speaker 3: in fact. Instead, we're going to do something scarier. We're
- 9:07Speaker 3: going to walk through the reports that actually surround this
- 9:12Speaker 3: place and then allow ourselves to imagine what it would
- 9:19Speaker 3: be like to feel, to spend one night there, alone, welcome.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Everyone to Gunslinger Gulch. Imagine arriving shortly before sunset. Montana
- 9:42Speaker 3: mountains surround you. Daylight still touches the rooftops. Everything looks old,
- 9:51Speaker 3: peaceful even. But as the sun begins disappearing behind the mountain, That's.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Gulch changes. The spaces between the buildings become black corridors.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Windows become rectangles of darkness. The boardwalk creaks beneath your boots.
- 10:20Speaker 3: and suddenly you are realizing something. You are surrounded by
- 10:26Speaker 3: buildings containing rooms that have existed longer than any people
- 10:35Speaker 3: walking through them. Some of these structures have histories elsewhere.
- 10:44Speaker 3: They were brought here, reassembled. given another life. And paranormal
- 10:54Speaker 3: investigators have asked the obvious question. Can a haunting move?
- 11:02Speaker 3: Can something become attached to a building? Furniture? To the timber?
- 11:10Speaker 3: To objects itself? No one can prove that though. But
- 11:16Speaker 3: shortly After Karen Rosshart and her family moved into the property,
- 11:23Speaker 3: they reported strange experiences of hearing voices, footsteps, meowing, and
- 11:35Speaker 3: even full-body apparitions. Think about it. Not a shadow glimpsed
- 11:44Speaker 3: from the corner of your eye. not simply a strange noise.
- 11:50Speaker 3: They reported seeing people, people who weren't supposed to be there.
- 11:56Speaker 3: And among the buildings identified as practically active were the
- 12:07Speaker 3: saloon brothel, boarding house, bunk cabin, and church. Five buildings.
- 12:15Speaker 3: five doors, five places where you might enter and discover
- 12:22Speaker 3: that you weren't the first person inside. If there was
- 12:27Speaker 3: one place in any Western ghost story where you expected
- 12:34Speaker 3: a dead to gather, it's the slum, of course. Picture it.
- 12:41Speaker 3: After midnight, table's empty. Chairs are pushed underneath them. Glasses
- 12:49Speaker 3: are put away. No music. No customers. Not even a bartender.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Just silence. And then, something upstairs. You stop. You listen. Nothing.
- 13:08Speaker 3: And then, closer, you call out, hello? Hello? No answer.
- 13:16Speaker 3: You tell yourself it's an old building. Sadly, nothing much.
- 13:22Speaker 3: And then, something whispers behind you. Recent stories from Gunslinger
- 13:29Speaker 3: College have centered on this building. In July 2026, Karen
- 13:37Speaker 3: Bossard and Tony Shuckley discussed an ancient discussed an incident
- 13:47Speaker 3: which Karen said she had recently been frightened out of
- 13:52Speaker 3: her own saloon. In their later conversation inside the building,
- 14:00Speaker 3: additional noises were reportedly heard, including a thump upstairs. The
- 14:08Speaker 3: recording was also said to contain strange whispers, and a
- 14:16Speaker 3: male voice. Imagine being there when it happens. Once, then another,
- 14:26Speaker 3: then another. Someone is walking across the room above you.
- 14:33Speaker 3: You move towards the staircase. Every instinct tells you you're
- 14:40Speaker 3: not to climb it. But curiosity wins. The first stare.
- 14:50Speaker 3: The second stare. The third stare. Then the footsteps above
- 14:56Speaker 3: you stop. You stop too. Silence. And suddenly, you hear this.
- 15:06Speaker 3: The race across the floor. You charge upstairs. You reach
- 15:15Speaker 3: the room. You draw open the door. And then you
- 15:21Speaker 3: hear this. Nothing. An empty room. An empty window. Empty hallway.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Until you turn around and realize the door behind you
- 15:37Speaker 3: has slowly began to close down. by itself. There is
- 15:45Speaker 3: another reported presence connected to recent stories from the Gulch.
- 15:52Speaker 3: A woman, or at least something shaped like one. In 2026,
- 16:03Speaker 3: an episode of Spirits with Spirits discussed reports of what
- 16:09Speaker 3: was described as curiosity As it may be. A headless woman. Roman. Gunslinger. Gulch.
- 16:19Speaker 3: We should. Impromise. The world. Maybe. The word maybe. There
- 16:26Speaker 3: is no. Established historical identity. To the separation. No verified name.
- 16:36Speaker 3: No gravestone. We could point towards. And declare. That is her.
- 16:44Speaker 3: But perhaps that uncertainty is exactly what makes the story frightening.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Imagine looking down at the boardwalk. 2.13 in the morning.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Moonlight washes across the buildings. And 50 feet away, someone
- 17:07Speaker 3: is standing there. A woman. Long clothes. Perfectly still. You
- 17:18Speaker 3: assume she's another guest. Ma'am? Nothing. Are you okay? Still nothing.
- 17:30Speaker 3: You take two steps forward towards her and something looks wrong.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Your mind takes a moment to understand what your eyes
- 17:42Speaker 3: are seeing. You see shoulders. A torso. Arms. But. Above
- 17:52Speaker 3: the shoulders. Darkness. You raise your flashlight. Click. A beam.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Strikes the figure. And then. She is gone. No footprints.
- 18:12Speaker 3: The door is closing. No sound. Of someone running away. Nothing.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Only the portal. And the wind. But then. From behind you.
- 18:29Speaker 3: You hear. You turn. Nobody. Not every haunting announces itself
- 18:41Speaker 3: with screams. Sometimes terror. waits in ordinary places, a hallway,
- 18:49Speaker 3: a bedroom, a bathroom. In June 2026, Spirits with Spirits
- 19:00Speaker 3: discussed what they call the man in the bathroom. Investigator
- 19:08Speaker 3: Maribeth also described developing an unusually intense with the property's
- 19:18Speaker 3: unseen residents and reportedly sometimes seeing them. Later, Karen's own
- 19:27Speaker 3: strange bathroom visitor was again discussed on the podcast. So
- 19:36Speaker 3: imagine this. It's late at night. You wake up. You
- 19:43Speaker 3: walk towards the bathroom. The door is partially open. And
- 19:48Speaker 3: you notice. someone standing inside a man you freeze hello
- 20:00Speaker 3: doesn't move you reach for the light click room fills
- 20:07Speaker 3: with light there's nobody You check behind the door, still nothing.
- 20:15Speaker 3: The shower, it's empty. The window, closed. You laugh nervously.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Your eyes are playing tricks on you. Of course they are.
- 20:31Speaker 3: You turn off the light, and in the bathroom mirror,
- 20:36Speaker 3: a man is standing right behind you. Then there are
- 20:42Speaker 3: the log cabins. A place associated with some of the gunslingers.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Most unsettling story. Karen reportedly identified it as one of
- 20:58Speaker 3: the property's most haunted buildings and has said she avoids
- 21:04Speaker 3: entering unless necessary. Accounts surrounding the television investigation also describes
- 21:14Speaker 3: the intense experience involving her daughter and an overwhelming emotional
- 21:21Speaker 3: reaction experienced by the investigator, Sapphire Sandelo. Imagine yourself sleeping there.
- 21:32Speaker 3: No television. No city lights. This is an old room
- 21:39Speaker 3: Surrounded by Montana darkness. 1148. Nothing. 1237 AM. 116 AM.
- 21:51Speaker 3: You hear something. A scratch. You open your eyes. You
- 21:58Speaker 3: hear the scratching again. It's coming from the wall. Probably
- 22:04Speaker 3: just a mouse. You close your eyes. Scratching continues. Now
- 22:13Speaker 3: it's beside the bed. You sit up upright. There's nothing.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Then the mattress. Depresses near your feet. Slowly. As though
- 22:28Speaker 3: someone has sat down. You cannot see anyone. But when
- 22:34Speaker 3: you feel the weight. And the depression moves. Closer. Something
- 22:42Speaker 3: invisible is crawling towards you. You throw off the blanket.
- 22:49Speaker 3: And pressure disappears. You reach for the lamp. And that's
- 22:57Speaker 3: when you hear something breathing. Not from the room. From outside.
- 23:04Speaker 3: From beneath the bed. Now, churches are supposed to be
- 23:13Speaker 3: Churches are supposed to represent sanctuary, safety, a boundary between
- 23:20Speaker 3: darkness and light. But at Gunslinger Gulch has no been
- 23:29Speaker 3: named among this property's paranormal hotspots. And there is nothing
- 23:36Speaker 3: uniquely disturbing about a haunted church. Because when something follows
- 23:44Speaker 3: you into a saloon, you could go and run into
- 23:51Speaker 3: the church. But what happens when the church is haunted too?
- 23:59Speaker 3: Imagine entering after midnight. Wooden pews disappear into darkness. Your
- 24:09Speaker 3: flashlight sweeps. Towards the altar. Nothing. Then you hear. One
- 24:20Speaker 3: of the pews moves. You shine the light. It's empty.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Then another. Then. And another. Another. As though invisible people
- 24:41Speaker 3: are sitting down. One by one. A congregation assembling in
- 24:48Speaker 3: the darkness. You slowly back towards the door. Somewhere behind
- 24:56Speaker 3: the altar. Someone begins whispering. Not one voice. Many. You
- 25:06Speaker 3: can't understand the words. But suddenly, every whisper stops. Then
- 25:16Speaker 3: one says clearly, Stay. By humans may not be the
- 25:28Speaker 3: only ghost reportedly roaming Gunslinger Gulch. Perhaps some of the
- 25:35Speaker 3: strangest stories involved animals. According to a 2026 discussion between
- 25:45Speaker 3: Karen Bossard and Troy Shockley, witnesses at the Gunslinger Gulch
- 25:58Speaker 3: have reported seeing a ghost cat and a ghost dog
- 26:04Speaker 3: and even a ghost horse. The cat Reportedly, interesting because
- 26:13Speaker 3: earlier descriptions of paranormal activity at the property included unexplained meowing,
- 26:26Speaker 3: pictures of walking between the buildings, and you hear, stop. Kitty? Nothing. Meow.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Behind you, a turd. A cat crosses the boardwalk. You follow.
- 26:51Speaker 3: You follow it around the corner. It's gone. There's no doorway.
- 26:57Speaker 3: There's no hole. No place for it to hide. And then,
- 27:03Speaker 3: there's the dog. Perhaps. You hear the claws. moving across
- 27:10Speaker 3: the board. You expect an animal to appear. Nothing does.
- 27:17Speaker 3: But perhaps, the most symptomatic of all reported, the ghost horse. Listen.
- 27:28Speaker 3: At first, you barely hear it. And then, it becomes
- 27:33Speaker 3: faster and faster. Something is approaching through the darkness. You
- 27:43Speaker 3: shine your light down the road. There's nothing. But the
- 27:50Speaker 3: hoofbeats continue closer and closer and closer until suddenly they
- 28:00Speaker 3: thunder past you. Your coat moves with the rush of
- 28:04Speaker 3: the air. Dust rises. From the road. But there's no horse.
- 28:12Speaker 3: There's no rider. There's just. Nothing. Only hoof beats. Racing towards.
- 28:22Speaker 3: The far end of town. Until they disappear. A ghost horse.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Is among the animal apparitions. Discussed by the gunslingers. Gulch's owner.
- 28:38Speaker 3: and investigator, Troy Shockley. Who or what it represents is
- 28:46Speaker 3: another question. Was it an animal once connected to one
- 28:52Speaker 3: of these buildings? A residential impression? Misidentification? Something else entirely?
- 29:04Speaker 3: No one could say. No one knows. And perhaps some
- 29:12Speaker 3: mysteries are too frightening precisely because they are refused to
- 29:18Speaker 3: give us their names. There are other phenomena that Kara
- 29:26Speaker 3: Bossard says she had witnessed with her own eyes. There's
- 29:31Speaker 3: a ball of light. not simply something appearing later in
- 29:38Speaker 3: photographs to describe seeing a clear moving oar at gunslinger
- 29:46Speaker 3: coach imagine seeing it tiny light floating near the saloon
- 29:56Speaker 3: it moves And it stops. And it moves again. It
- 30:04Speaker 3: follows you. It drifts between the buildings. Almost like it
- 30:10Speaker 3: wants you to come with it. You fall further. Past
- 30:16Speaker 3: the boarding house. Past the cabins. Towards the darkness beyond town.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Then it stops. Then you stop. And suddenly, you realize
- 30:31Speaker 3: how far you've wandered from everyone else. The light disappears,
- 30:39Speaker 3: complete darkness, from somewhere behind you. The hoof beats. And now,
- 30:48Speaker 3: ladies and gentlemen, we come to perhaps the strangest named
- 30:58Speaker 3: entity in the modern stories of Gunslinger's Gulch. That's Steve.
- 31:08Speaker 3: During a June 20, 26 investigation, an Estes Method session
- 31:19Speaker 3: reportedly produced what investigators interpreted as unusually relevant responses. other
- 31:32Speaker 3: alleged spirit communicated it was described as an obnoxious troublemaker
- 31:44Speaker 3: and it reportedly identified itself as Steve the demon now
- 31:53Speaker 3: remember this does not prove that Steve is a demon
- 31:59Speaker 3: in fact Hussard and Shockley have specifically rejected the longer,
- 32:09Speaker 3: larger claim that Gunslinger Gulch is infected with demons. For
- 32:15Speaker 3: all everyone knows, if the communication was paranormal at all,
- 32:22Speaker 3: Steve the Demon could simply have been something playing games
- 32:29Speaker 3: and somehow that possibility might be worse. Because imagine communicating
- 32:40Speaker 3: with something intelligent enough to lie. What's your name? Who
- 32:52Speaker 3: are we talking to? Then, Steve, where are you? Steve,
- 33:08Speaker 3: are you here? Yes. Are you human? Nothing. Were you human?
- 33:19Speaker 3: What are you, then? Demons. Everyone laughs nervously. Someone says,
- 33:40Speaker 3: Very funny, Steve. Then door opens behind them by itself.
- 33:51Speaker 3: Unexplained doors opening have been amongst the phenomena discussed in
- 34:01Speaker 3: the investigation at Gunslinger Gulch. Guests have also reported feeling overwhelmed,
- 34:09Speaker 3: equipment reacting, and even unexplained scratches. And a door opening
- 34:19Speaker 3: by itself doesn't sound terrifying until you're alone. Picture this.
- 34:29Speaker 3: Picture the boarding house. 247. A.M. Door one. Door two.
- 34:39Speaker 3: Door three. Then click. Door three opens. Two inches. You stare. Hello? Nothing.
- 34:57Speaker 3: It opens further. Four inches. Six inches. Twelve. The darkness inside.
- 35:08Speaker 3: You approach. Before you can reach it. The door. Crashes.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Crashes shut. You jump. Backwards. And then. The door behind
- 35:23Speaker 3: you opens. And another. And another. Click. One after another.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Every door. In the hallway begins opening. And somewhere in
- 35:38Speaker 3: one of these rooms, a man laughs. Boarding house is
- 35:45Speaker 3: another building identified in reports as practically haunted. Think about it.
- 35:57Speaker 3: What a boarding house represents. Temporary residence. People arrive. People leaving.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Strangers sleeping under the same roof. Footsteps in the hallway.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Doors opening throughout the night. And life of those sounds
- 36:23Speaker 3: would have seemed just been ordinary. But if a place
- 36:29Speaker 3: could somehow preserve fragments of that past. Perhaps. Sounds. Footsteps.
- 36:41Speaker 3: Step by step by step. Door. Click. Floorboard. Three. Voice. Room.
- 36:57Speaker 3: And then. Silence. Perhaps nobody is trying to frighten anyone. Perhaps. Whatever.
- 37:09Speaker 3: walks here, doesn't even know you're present. Perhaps, somewhere, in time,
- 37:18Speaker 3: a traveler is still looking for his room. Then comes
- 37:24Speaker 3: the brothel's building, another location reportedly identified among the haunted
- 37:33Speaker 3: hotspots of Golden Slinger Gulch. Old buildings associated a frontier voice,
- 37:42Speaker 3: vitally associated, accumulated stories. But we should resist preventing identities
- 37:55Speaker 3: for these spirits. Even history doesn't give them to us.
- 38:04Speaker 3: We don't know the name of every person supposedly haunting
- 38:11Speaker 3: this building. We cannot truthfully tell you that every shadow
- 38:17Speaker 3: belongs to a murdered woman or every whisper has come
- 38:24Speaker 3: to forgotten outlaw. Sometimes we simply don't know and that's enough.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Imagine walking upstairs the rooms. Nell's faint of old timber.
- 38:41Speaker 3: Your flashlight moves across the faded walls. And then, something
- 38:48Speaker 3: touches your shoulder. You turn. There's nobody. You continue. Again,
- 38:58Speaker 3: you stop. Silence. And then, something brushes the back of
- 39:05Speaker 3: your neck. You run downstairs. And when you reach the bottom,
- 39:11Speaker 3: a woman's laughter comes from the room you wept. Investigators
- 39:27Speaker 3: and visitors have described physical sensations against their coach. Feelings
- 39:37Speaker 3: of being touched. Feeling of being overwhelmed. And in some cases,
- 39:47Speaker 3: unexplained scratches. have been reported. That changes the nature of
- 39:54Speaker 3: a haunting. Hearing something is one thing, seeing is another,
- 40:03Speaker 3: but being touched by something you can't see. Imagine standing
- 40:10Speaker 3: perfectly still, nobody within 10 feet, and then three fingers
- 40:18Speaker 3: Press against your back. You spin around. There's nobody. Your friend.
- 40:27Speaker 3: Checks your shirt. And suddenly. There's an. Expression. Changes. What?
- 40:36Speaker 3: They didn't answer. What is it? Three. Red marks. Running.
- 40:44Speaker 3: Down your skin. Now imagine. All these stories happen all together. 1203,
- 40:55Speaker 3: outside the saloon. 017, you hear footsteps upstairs. 031, the
- 41:06Speaker 3: door opens. 1246, a woman appears on the portal. 102,
- 41:13Speaker 3: a horse. Is heard running down the empty road.
- 41:19Speaker 1: 118.
- 41:21Speaker 3: A man appears. Where no man should be. 144. Something
- 41:30Speaker 3: scratches a visitor. 207. A whisper. Comes through a recorder. 232.
- 41:41Speaker 3: A glowing orb. Moves through the building. 2.51, someone calls
- 41:50Speaker 3: your name. And by 3 o'clock in the morning, you
- 41:56Speaker 3: no longer ask whether Gunslinger Gulch is haunted. You ask
- 42:02Speaker 3: something different. How many are here? Here is where the
- 42:08Speaker 3: mystery becomes important. There are no relivable There is no
- 42:18Speaker 3: reliable historical register identifying each alleged spirit at Gunslinger Gulch.
- 42:28Speaker 3: What we have instead are categories of reported manifestations and
- 42:39Speaker 3: unexplained human apparitions. People seen where no living person should
- 42:47Speaker 3: The possible endless woman. Mysterious female figure. Discussed in every.
- 42:59Speaker 3: A male presence. Associated one of the properties more. Intimate
- 43:07Speaker 3: and unsettling encounters. Phantom cat. Recently. connected to reports of
- 43:16Speaker 3: unexplained meowing. The ghost call. Another animal apparition reported on
- 43:24Speaker 3: the property. The phantom horse. A spectral animal that sounds
- 43:32Speaker 3: as though it belongs naturally into an Old West ghost town.
- 43:40Speaker 3: The unexplained voices. and female sounds and whispers. The unidentified voices,
- 43:52Speaker 3: the male and female whispers and alleged EVPs alike recordings.
- 44:01Speaker 3: The unseen walkers, footsteps without visible owners. The touching presence
- 44:11Speaker 3: wherever may be responsible for the reports of touches and scratches.
- 44:20Speaker 3: And finally, there's Steve the Demon, a proactive name reportedly
- 44:29Speaker 3: supplied during their spirit communication, but not evidence that the
- 44:38Speaker 3: entity actually is demonic. And beyond these, perhaps there is others. Unnamed. Unrecognized.
- 44:51Speaker 3: Never early seen. Waiting inside the buildings after lights go out.
- 45:00Speaker 3: It's almost dawn. You survive the night. The eastern horizon
- 45:08Speaker 3: has begun to brighten. You walk down the boardwalk one
- 45:14Speaker 3: final time. The town seems different now. Quieter. Whatever moved
- 45:22Speaker 3: during the night has stopped. The slough is silent. The
- 45:29Speaker 3: church is still. The cabin. Windows are dark. No footprints.
- 45:37Speaker 3: No voices. No apparitions. Nothing. Maybe you have imagined everything.
- 45:47Speaker 3: Maybe old buildings make strange sounds. Maybe winds open doors.
- 45:54Speaker 3: Maybe exhaustion creates shadows. Maybe suggestion turns ordinary noises into whispers.
- 46:08Speaker 3: Maybe every single Experience has an explanation. You reach your vehicle.
- 46:16Speaker 3: You open the door. Then you hear it. Meow. You
- 46:25Speaker 3: turn around. Nothing. And then. Far away. Look down the road.
- 46:37Speaker 3: It's empty. Then you see someone. Standing on the boardwalk.
- 46:44Speaker 3: A woman. Motionless. You squint. The rising sunlight is difficult
- 46:51Speaker 3: to see. Hello? She doesn't answer. You step closer. Then.
- 47:00Speaker 3: She disappears. You freeze. Behind you. Something whispers. You spin around.
- 47:14Speaker 3: There's nobody. You get into your vehicle. You lock your doors.
- 47:20Speaker 3: You start your engine. And you drive. And the river
- 47:26Speaker 3: mirror of the Slinger Gulch becomes smaller and smaller and
- 47:33Speaker 3: smaller until the town disappears. And just before it does,
- 47:42Speaker 3: You could hear something running beside the road. Running alongside
- 47:50Speaker 3: the car. A horse. Transparent against the morning light. And
- 48:00Speaker 3: riding on its back. A dark figure watching you leave.
- 48:07Speaker 3: Maybe Gunslinger Gulch isn't frightening because you know Exactly who
- 48:13Speaker 3: haunts it. Maybe it's frightening. Because we don't. Historic buildings.
- 48:19Speaker 3: Were moved. There from different places. Different histories. Were brought together.
- 48:29Speaker 3: Different walls. Different memories. Different stories. And perhaps. If you
- 48:36Speaker 3: believe places can remain. Something. can retain something, of the people,
- 48:45Speaker 3: who pass through them, different ghosts, the owner herself, has rejected,
- 48:53Speaker 3: sensational claim, that the property, is crawling with demons, but,
- 48:59Speaker 3: she has continued, publicly discussing, unexplained, experiences there, doors, voices,
- 49:12Speaker 3: The apparitions. The animals that should be there. Strange lights.
- 49:19Speaker 3: Unseen touches. And figures moving through. Out the town. As
- 49:26Speaker 3: should be sleeping. So perhaps. Gunslinger Gulch. Didn't need demons.
- 49:35Speaker 3: Perhaps the truth. Behind. reputation is eerie enough as when
- 49:44Speaker 3: you but even midnight comes to Montana's mountains and the
- 49:50Speaker 3: tourists have gone and the doors are locked and the
- 49:55Speaker 3: wind begins blowing through those old buildings there are people
- 50:02Speaker 3: who believe Gunslinger Gulch wakes up the saloon gets another
- 50:08Speaker 3: customer The boarding house receives another traveler. Something enters the church.
- 50:17Speaker 3: A cat prowls its boardwalk. The dog wanders between the buildings.
- 50:23Speaker 3: A woman walks through the darkness. A man waits, but
- 50:28Speaker 3: nobody expects him. Somewhere beyond the final building, a horse
- 50:36Speaker 3: begins to run. Closer. and closer, and closer, until you
- 50:45Speaker 3: understand the terrible possibility behind the legend. Perhaps Gunslinger Gulch
- 50:54Speaker 3: isn't just a town filled with empty buildings. Perhaps the
- 51:00Speaker 3: buildings aren't empty at all. And if you ever find
- 51:08Speaker 3: yourself standing alone on that boardwalk after midnight, and you
- 51:13Speaker 3: hear someone walking behind you, remember one thing. Don't immediately
- 51:22Speaker 3: assume it's another visitor, because here at Gunslinger Gulch, some
- 51:29Speaker 3: of us may have checked in for a very long time,
- 51:36Speaker 3: and they may never Have checked out. Don't turn around.
