- 0:00Speaker 1: Tonny Cats The Morning News ninety three WIBC. My name
- 0:03Speaker 1: is Craig Collins, filling in Booer Remodeling Company brings you
- 0:07Speaker 1: the popcorn moment. This popcorn moment, we're going to do
- 0:10Speaker 1: it two for actually is unfortunately partially Kamala Harris.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Yep, thank you, sir.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Kamala Harris has been doing the round, mostly because she's
- 0:19Speaker 1: got a book that she's going to be hawking. But
- 0:22Speaker 1: she did a weird TikTok video where she essentially whispered
- 0:27Speaker 1: off camera and then pretended someone else was This is
- 0:30Speaker 1: the most juvenile, stupid thing, pretended someone else was saying
- 0:33Speaker 1: the word she was saying, as if people were actually
- 0:36Speaker 1: whispering and wondering what Kamala Harris has been up to.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Not many people have actually cared. No one's been clamoring
- 0:41Speaker 1: for this book that she's putting out.
- 0:43Speaker 2: But here we go.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Everyone thinks you've been kicking back, drinking Margerita's on the beach,
- 0:48Speaker 3: but really you've been hard at work writing a book,
- 0:52Speaker 3: meeting with leaders thinking about the future of our country.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Who said that no one? The answer is no one's
- 0:59Speaker 1: said that. No one cared about any of these things.
- 1:02Speaker 1: That would be Harris again whispering to herself.
- 1:05Speaker 2: You know, it's funny.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Rush Limbaugh for a long time talked about the book
- 1:09Speaker 1: deals and how politicians, people, president's, vice president's all kind
- 1:13Speaker 1: of individuals I get rich. A lot of these books
- 1:15Speaker 1: barely ever come out, no one really buys them. It
- 1:18Speaker 1: doesn't matter. They get millions of dollars in these book deals.
- 1:22Speaker 1: And that's what Harris has been doing. She's been collecting
- 1:24Speaker 1: her next paycheck through her government work and the terrible
- 1:28Speaker 1: job she did with the President of the United States
- 1:30Speaker 1: running the country for the last few years until Trump
- 1:33Speaker 1: took over.
- 1:34Speaker 2: So it's just it's insane.
- 1:36Speaker 1: But yes, she's proud of herself, I guess, and also
- 1:38Speaker 1: seems to think that a lot of people will care
- 1:40Speaker 1: about this. Of course, she did the Colbert interview. I
- 1:43Speaker 1: played some of that audio earlier, in which she answered
- 1:46Speaker 1: in a very long winded way. Unsurprising by the way
- 1:49Speaker 1: that she answered long winded why she's not running for
- 1:52Speaker 1: governor of California. And it basically is that this system
- 1:56Speaker 1: is broken, meaning that the system is racist and sexist
- 1:59Speaker 1: against her.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I actually do know people.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I'll pause for a second to say this and then
- 2:03Speaker 1: I'll play the other popcorn moment thing that I have
- 2:06Speaker 1: that really do believe that the democratic narrative took enough
- 2:10Speaker 1: of a hold. There are people that I've met, I've
- 2:13Speaker 1: worked in some capacity with in certain places that we'll
- 2:17Speaker 1: say out loud that, a it's a shame that Harris
- 2:19Speaker 1: didn't win. I guess America is just too racist and
- 2:22Speaker 1: sexist to pick a black woman to run the country.
- 2:27Speaker 1: And the thing I always think to myself, and this
- 2:29Speaker 1: isn't a thing I believe actually definitively would have happened,
- 2:33Speaker 1: by the way, but Michelle Obama was thought to be
- 2:37Speaker 1: the strongest candidate on the Democratic side of the aisle.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And what are the things that Michelle Obama and Kamala
- 2:43Speaker 1: Harris have in common. There's not a lot they have
- 2:45Speaker 1: in common. But oh yeah, they both happen to be
- 2:47Speaker 1: a black women. At least that's what Harris says. Sometimes
- 2:51Speaker 1: she doesn't say that all the time, which is also weird.
- 2:54Speaker 1: But it's strange to think that Democrats are forgetting that.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Not that I think again, Michelle would have actually beat
- 3:00Speaker 1: President Trump, but nonetheless, it's just odd that that's the
- 3:04Speaker 1: position they take on that topic, and that conversation, and
- 3:06Speaker 1: of course Barack Obama showed a lot of people who
- 3:10Speaker 1: would say that on the left that America was not racist,
- 3:13Speaker 1: that they were willing to vote someone into office who
- 3:15Speaker 1: was black, essentially defeating that entire narrative. Not again that
- 3:20Speaker 1: I'm happy about that either. That didn't go so great
- 3:23Speaker 1: for a whole lot of us. But it is weird
- 3:25Speaker 1: that those things are just thrown immediately behind you when
- 3:28Speaker 1: the left wants to say the same thing over and
- 3:30Speaker 1: over again and not face the actual issue that their
- 3:33Speaker 1: candidate was terrible. By the way, there's one other piece
- 3:36Speaker 1: of audio that went viral that I found very amusing.
- 3:39Speaker 1: This is a woman that wants to make sure she's
- 3:42Speaker 1: not attracting maga men, so she went on social media
- 3:46Speaker 1: to ask what maga men like, and she wants to
- 3:48Speaker 1: wear the exact opposite.
- 3:50Speaker 2: What's funny about this lady.
- 3:51Speaker 1: She's not a terribly attractive woman by any stretch of
- 3:55Speaker 1: the imagination. I'm not trying to be mean. A bunch
- 3:58Speaker 1: of the people who commented on her posts to think
- 4:00Speaker 1: that in order to not attract dudes, you can just
- 4:02Speaker 1: keep doing what she's doing.
- 4:04Speaker 2: But what's funny about this?
- 4:06Speaker 1: In my opinion is she seems like the type of
- 4:08Speaker 1: person that wants to make this statement as her new
- 4:11Speaker 1: excuse for why she's not getting male attention. It's like, oh,
- 4:14Speaker 1: I'm doing it on purpose. I'm trying not to attract
- 4:17Speaker 1: any of the maga guys who are out there. But
- 4:19Speaker 1: here's a little bit of audio of her saying that
- 4:21Speaker 1: she wants to do whatever she can to make sure
- 4:23Speaker 1: these mega men that she's beating off with a stick,
- 4:26Speaker 1: you know, leave her alone.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Ken, Someone tell me what maga men find attractive so
- 4:32Speaker 3: that I can wear the complete opposite.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Thanks. Yeah, it's very easy.
- 4:36Speaker 1: As many people said, just you be you, You do
- 4:39Speaker 1: your own thing, and it seems like you'll be just fine.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I love that this is a statement she thought she
- 4:44Speaker 1: had to make online too, by the way, And actually,
- 4:47Speaker 1: you know what, there's one other thing about this that
- 4:49Speaker 1: I find amusing and I'm not sure if you'll agree,
- 4:51Speaker 1: but darn it, I'm going to throw it out there.
- 4:53Speaker 1: I love that she thinks that like maga men are
- 4:56Speaker 1: uniquely different than liberal dudes and what they find attractive,
- 5:00Speaker 1: that all guys don't think certain things are attractive and
- 5:03Speaker 1: certain things are unattractive. I love that the left has
- 5:07Speaker 1: that assumption like, no, no, no, our effeminate men on
- 5:10Speaker 1: the left are really just totally different people who are
- 5:13Speaker 1: barely attracted to women at all, we think, So that's
- 5:16Speaker 1: really what's better about our side than the other side,
- 5:19Speaker 1: and not the actual reality that if you're a dude,
- 5:22Speaker 1: regardless of what side of the aisle you vote for,
- 5:25Speaker 1: there are probably certain things we have in common as
- 5:27Speaker 1: far as what we find attractive and what we don't.
- 5:29Speaker 1: And you know how I know that, by the way,
- 5:32Speaker 1: the ridiculous amount of people out there who are viral
- 5:34Speaker 1: sensations and incredibly popular celebrity people on the Internet, and
- 5:40Speaker 1: they all kind of look the same.
- 5:41Speaker 2: They all have a certain look about them.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Sidney Sweeney, for example, and how incredibly viral her campaign
- 5:47Speaker 1: has gone, and all the people like this other woman
- 5:49Speaker 1: who are mad about it because they don't look like
- 5:51Speaker 1: Sidney Sweeney and they're up in arms and saying all
- 5:54Speaker 1: kinds of things. To me, that's hilarious too, because yes,
- 5:57Speaker 1: it is obvious that we have certain things in common.
- 6:00Speaker 1: All right, One other quick thing before I take a
- 6:03Speaker 1: break that I thought was interesting. This sounds like a
- 6:06Speaker 1: terrifying headline of a story and For a while there,
- 6:10Speaker 1: I thought that any terrifying headline we should just bury
- 6:13Speaker 1: it because the world was being crazy enough. Now I'm
- 6:16Speaker 1: ready for it, though, Now I can take it. This
- 6:18Speaker 1: is the headline. A radioactive Wasp nest was found in
- 6:22Speaker 1: South Carolina recently.
- 6:24Speaker 2: This is not a superhero origin story. It's just a
- 6:27Speaker 2: thing that's out there.
- 6:28Speaker 1: But I guess the wasp nest was too close to
- 6:31Speaker 1: a nuclear facility and so now it's radioactive. They say,
- 6:34Speaker 1: don't worry, not a big deal, nothing bad is going
- 6:37Speaker 1: to come with this, and the Wasp if you're worried
- 6:39Speaker 1: about them, are also fine, which I was not.
- 6:41Speaker 2: I'm fine with them going away.
- 6:43Speaker 1: But this was just odd to me that apparently this
- 6:45Speaker 1: thing is highly radioactive and they're just letting us know,
- 6:50Speaker 1: even though again they're telling us everything, we'll be fine.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Go ahead, Yeah, if they sting you, you turn into
- 6:54Speaker 2: Wasp Man, Yeah, I guess so.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Yeah, or Evangeline Lily who played the Wasp in the
- 6:59Speaker 1: Marvel movie.
- 7:00Speaker 2: I'll be yes.
- 7:01Speaker 1: This is very strange, very odd that someone wanted to
- 7:03Speaker 1: put this out there and again just tell us. This
- 7:07Speaker 1: is the part that makes me doubt it. They tell
- 7:09Speaker 1: us there's no, nothing bad about this, But they also
- 7:13Speaker 1: told us about it in the first place. If they
- 7:15Speaker 1: just left it off the table entirely, I might have
- 7:17Speaker 1: believed them. But when you tell me, hey, this wasp
- 7:19Speaker 1: nest is radioactive, and then you look around for a
- 7:22Speaker 1: second and go and by the way, that's not dangerous,
- 7:24Speaker 1: I very much doubt the second part of that statement.
- 7:26Speaker 1: All right, we'll take a break. A lot coming up
- 7:28Speaker 1: on the show. Craig Collins filling in for Tony Katz
