- 0:23maybe one day we will remember. Welcome back to Mini Scroll

- 0:41We do 3 videos a month and they're more like behind the
- 0:45scenes of the business of Centennial World.
- 0:47There are more personal look into who I am and the company
- 0:51itself. All right, the first story that
- 0:52I have for you guys today, this is a sad one, but Michaela
- 0:56Naguera, she just posted a video like an hour ago before I
- 0:59started recording announcing that she is divorcing from her
- 1:02husband Cody I. Want to stat this video by
- 1:05saying I appreciate you and I love you and you're going to
- 1:11want to sit down for this video. I am getting a divorce.
- 1:18Take a minute. Take it in.
- 1:22I am getting a divorce. Cody and I love each other so
- 1:27much. We love each other so much, We
- 1:31would do literally anything for each other.
- 1:34I want you to know that they are some of the best memories of my
- 1:37life, memories that I will cherish forever and I do not
- 1:42regret a single thing, nor does Cody.
- 1:43She says the divorce is amicable, that they made the
- 1:47decision last year and she spent the past few months processing.
- 1:50And that also would partly explain, I suppose, why she's
- 1:54taken a bit of a step back from social media these past few
- 1:57months. So Cody and Michaela got engaged
- 2:00in November 2021 and married in July 2023.
- 2:04She also said in this video, please don't bring his addiction
- 2:07issues into your speculation over why they are divorcing.
- 2:11And she also said don't believe media or drama channels or
- 2:14basically anyone who claims to know why, because she's going to
- 2:17keep all of that reasoning and everything very private, which I
- 2:20think is appropriate. And I think that's good.
- 2:22Now, regardless of what happened, obviously this is very
- 2:24sad. They met in December 2020.
- 2:27Think about how different their lives are now from December
- 2:322020, and that was what, like five years ago, You know, like
- 2:35so much has changed for them in five years.
- 2:38That's not a long time. I imagine it would be hard on
- 2:42any relationship to have that kind of like, meteoric success,
- 2:45that amount of money, that amount of fame so quickly.
- 2:48And their relationship was put on display somewhat by her on
- 2:53her channels. So yes, it's very sad.
- 2:56I think it explains a lot of what we've seen from Michaela
- 2:59these past few months where she's been talking about how,
- 3:01you know, she wants to get back to herself pre influencer fame.
- 3:04And she seems to be doing like a lot of reflecting and a lot of
- 3:07work. I'm happy to hear that it's
- 3:08amicable, but it's very sad. OK, The next story that I have
- 3:12for you guys today is that a European candy company has
- 3:14topped Jake Shane as their chief creative officer to bring their
- 3:19brand to the US. So Jake Shane, podcaster, TikTok
- 3:23star comedian, I think as well, he has been named chief creative
- 3:27officer of the German candy company Catch, Yes.
- 3:30So this is a brand new role. And he will be apparently
- 3:34responsible for shaping the brand's creative strategy and
- 3:37presence in the US market. This is from Forbes, quote.
- 3:41This week, Shane was named chief creative officer at German candy
- 3:43company Catch. Yes, as it expands it's $1
- 3:46billion revenue gummy business through the US market.
- 3:51Quote, being able to help cultivate this brand in the
- 3:53States, which has done so well in Europe is kind of a dream of
- 3:56mine. Shane told Forbes.
- 3:57We share the same sentiment that candy is for everyone.
- 4:00So at the end of the day, I'm just happy to create this
- 4:02message. Candy is for everyone, you guys.
- 4:06These PR statements when, you know, celebrities get announced
- 4:09as like ambassadors or whatever. And like the press releases that
- 4:11go out with like their alleged statements.
- 4:13And that's not a knock on Jake Shea.
- 4:15Like, you know, go for gold. Honestly, good for you.
- 4:18I like the idea that it's an influencer this time, you know,
- 4:21this whole like chief creative officer, you know, creative
- 4:25director, whatever. Like we see that a lot,
- 4:27especially with celebrities. We've seen that in the last
- 4:29maybe like 10 or 15 years. I like that.
- 4:32Now, this is an influencer and I like that there is a purpose to
- 4:35this, you know, because a lot of times when it is like a creative
- 4:39director role for a celebrity or something like that, it's like,
- 4:41Oh yeah, they're just going to have their name on it.
- 4:43It's like, why are they not just like an ambassador, right?
- 4:46Whereas this, well, he obviously at the end of the day is
- 4:48probably more of an ambassador than actually like C-Suite head
- 4:52of creative strategy. The purpose is that they want to
- 4:54expand to the US. And so he's going to help them
- 4:57do that with his audience and his influence.
- 4:59And I like that there's an actual purpose like a project
- 5:02that he has been essentially like brought on for it sounds
- 5:05like. OK.
- 5:05And the last read that I have for you guys today, there was a
- 5:09road PR event in Sydney yesterday and it's gone totally
- 5:13viral, but not because it was Hailey Bieber and because of the
- 5:17influencers who were there and any of the content that was
- 5:20created there, but actually because of a piece of content
- 5:23posted by a girl who wasn't actually even invited but
- 5:26stumbled upon the event. So Rd. launched in Australia
- 5:29yesterday and they held an influencer event with Hailey
- 5:32Bieber to celebrate the launch. Influencers went home with these
- 5:35giant Rd. PR boxes filled with products
- 5:38and apparently also a makeup bag.
- 5:40Now a creator named Ollie in Sydney who had less than 2000
- 5:43followers on TikTok when this all started.
- 5:45At the time, she was at Milk Beach, which is like where the
- 5:48event was held. She said she was coming out of
- 5:50the bathroom and she ran into the road influencer event with
- 5:53Haley. So she was standing near the
- 5:55event she was filming like from the outside of it, you could
- 5:58hear Haley giving her speech. Like she was basically taking
- 6:01content as like an outsider what it was like to stumble into this
- 6:04event and then she posted this still photo after like a few
- 6:08pieces of content about this. Then she posted a still photo on
- 6:11TikTok of her holding one of the PR gifts and she wrote The
- 6:14chances that an influencer forgets their Rd. bag after a
- 6:17private event and security randomly hands it to you are
- 6:20extremely low but never zero. Her post has had so much more
- 6:24engagement than many of the creators who were actually at
- 6:27the event at the time of recording.
- 6:30That single post has over 25,000 likes and the comments are
- 6:34filled with people saying, I wish brands would give PR to
- 6:37normies, like I wish brands would include more regular
- 6:39people in their events and gifting.
- 6:41And so now marketing LinkedIn is posting all about this, about
- 6:45how this is such a good indication that brands should be
- 6:47including regular people, quote UN quote, or like loyal
- 6:51customers, whatever in their PR gifting.
- 6:53Because like look at the engagement that this has had.
- 6:55And I agree that brands should be including consumers,
- 7:00especially like their loyal customers in their marketing and
- 7:02PR and gifting. And I understand how powerful
- 7:05that is. And I actually think a lot more
- 7:06brands are starting to do that and also starting to take their
- 7:09loyal customers on like brand trips and stuff with them as
- 7:11well. So I think we are seeing that,
- 7:13but I don't think it's as widely known because again, the people
- 7:15that they're bringing don't have huge followings, right?
- 7:18So it's harder for that cut through when a brand does that
- 7:22regardless, I agree with that. But the reason why I think this
- 7:25actually went viral, this is more or less than, in my
- 7:27opinion, to aspiring creators as opposed to brands because this
- 7:31was a totally organic thing that happened.
- 7:33Like it was a fluke that she was there that she ran into this
- 7:37situation and then she also ended up getting APR box at the
- 7:40end of it. But it was her ability to share
- 7:43that story and create like 5 or 6 pieces of content, content
- 7:47from this one thing that honestly most people maybe would
- 7:50put on like their Instagram stories, maybe sent to their
- 7:53close friends, Snapchat it to their friends.
- 7:55You know, she really took this opportunity and she created like
- 7:596 pieces of content from it on TikTok, like public pieces of
- 8:02content. So her like documenting this and
- 8:04taking us on this journey and then getting handed this PR box
- 8:08at the end. It felt like a happy ending to
- 8:10this story that she had created about this experience of
- 8:14basically just like running into this PR event with an A list
- 8:17celebrity. It was like a nice little bow
- 8:19right at the end of this experience that she had already
- 8:22been sharing with us. So I feel like the take away
- 8:24here is actually for aspiring creators, like this is a great
- 8:28case study in storytelling on social, documenting over
- 8:32creating. That is my biggest piece of
- 8:35advice. If you have no idea what to post
- 8:37on TikTok, if you're trying to grow your following and you're
- 8:39just like, I don't know what to post, just document your life.
- 8:42Document what you are experiencing.
- 8:44Don't overthink content creation.
- 8:46Document over create. Post in ghost, right, like she
- 8:50didn't, you know, take all these clips and create this one like
- 8:52aesthetic vlog. She was a literally posting on
- 8:56the go. It appeared to be like one take
- 8:58posts, OK, posting in real time, posting ghost and don't be
- 9:02afraid of cringe. Like she was recording Hailey
- 9:04Bieber's speech from outside. She was recording the
- 9:07influencers leaving and it was very obvious that she was like
- 9:09quote UN quote on the outside. But that's where we are too,
- 9:12right? Like us as viewers, like we are
- 9:14on the outside as well. So we were like we can relate to
- 9:16you, Queen. That would be us too.
- 9:19So yes, it would be very hard for a brand to recreate a viral
- 9:22moment like this because it was so organic and because she was
- 9:26just the right person to have stumbled into this event.
- 9:30That's why I think the take away is more so for creators or
- 9:34aspiring creators. Anyways, guys, that's it for
- 9:36mini scroll today. Thank you so much for listening.
- 9:39I love you guys. Please remember to rate, review
- 9:41and subscribe. Please Spotify star rate US.
- 9:44I hope you guys have a good weekend and I will talk to you
